- 0:36his people from their predicament.

- 0:41Story in Earnest today. God's plan starts to be carried
- 0:46out and it all happens, all that talk of God displaying his power
- 0:51to force pharaoh, to let his people go well, Buckle
- 0:56yourselves in. Well, if you're driving, you
- 0:57should already be buckled in. But for the rest of you Buckle
- 1:00yourselves in, because it's about to get real, let us read
- 1:03together. Exodus chapter 7,
- 1:16Then the Lord said to Moses, pay close attention to this, I will
- 1:21make you seem like God to pharaoh and your brother.
- 1:25Aaron will be your profit, tell Aaron everything, I command you.
- 1:30And Erin must command pharaoh, to let the people of Israel,
- 1:34leave his country. But I will make Pharaoh's heart
- 1:38stubborn. So I can multiply my miraculous
- 1:41signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.
- 1:44Even the Pharaoh will refuse. Choose to listen to you.
- 1:47So, I will bring down my fist on Egypt, then I will rescue my
- 1:52forces. My people, the Israelites from
- 1:56the land of Egypt, with great acts of judgment, when I raise
- 2:01my powerful hand and bring out the Israelites, the Egyptians
- 2:05will know that I am the Lord. So, Moses and Aaron did just as
- 2:11the Lord had commanded them. Moses was 80 years old and Aaron
- 2:16was 83, when they made their demands to Pharaoh, then the
- 2:20Lord said to Moses and Aaron Pharaoh will demand, show me a
- 2:25miracle when he does this. Say to Aaron, take your staff
- 2:31and throw it down in front of pharaoh, and it will become a
- 2:34serpent. So Moses and Aaron went to
- 2:37pharaoh and did what the Lord had commanded them.
- 2:41Aaron, threw down his staff before pharaoh and his
- 2:44officials. And it became a serpent and
- 2:47Pharaoh called his own wise men and Sorcerers.
- 2:50And these Egyptian magicians did the same thing with their magic.
- 2:54They threw down their staffs which also became serpents but
- 2:59then Aaron staff swallowed up their staffs Pharaoh's, heart.
- 3:04However, remained hard, he still refused to listen, just as the
- 3:08Lord had predicted. Then the Lord said to Moses
- 3:13Pharaoh's heart is stubborn, and he still refuses to let the
- 3:16people go. So go to Pharaoh in the morning
- 3:20as he goes down to the river, stand on the bank of the Nile
- 3:23and meet him there, be sure to take along the staff that turned
- 3:26into a snake then announced to him the Lord, the god of the
- 3:31Hebrews has sent me. Me to tell you, let my people
- 3:36go, so they can worship me in the wilderness until now you
- 3:42have refused to listen to him. So this is what the Lord says.
- 3:46I will show you that. I am the Lord look, I will
- 3:50strike the water of the Nile with this staff in my hand, and
- 3:54the river will turn to blood the fish in, it will die and the
- 3:59river will stink. The Egyptians will not be able
- 4:02to drink. Any water from the Nile.
- 4:05Then the Lord said to Moses, tell Aaron take your staff and
- 4:10raise your hand. Over the Waters of Egypt, all
- 4:13its rivers, canals ponds and all the reservoirs turn all the
- 4:18water to blood everywhere in Egypt.
- 4:21The water will turn to blood, even the water stored in wooden
- 4:24bowls and stone pots. So Moses and Aaron did just as
- 4:29the Lord commanded them as pharaoh and all of his
- 4:32officials. I've watched Aaron raised his
- 4:35staff and struck the water of the Nile.
- 4:38Suddenly the whole river turned to blood the fish in the river
- 4:42died and the water became so foul that the Egyptians couldn't
- 4:46drink it. There was blood everywhere
- 4:48throughout the land of Egypt. But again, The Magician's of
- 4:52Egypt used their magic and they to turn water into blood.
- 4:57So Pharaoh's heart remained hard.
- 4:59He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron just as the The Lord
- 5:03had predicted Farah returned to his Palace, and put the whole
- 5:07thing out of his mind. Then all the Egyptians Doug
- 5:11along the riverbank to find drinking water for, they
- 5:14couldn't drink the water from the Nile, seven days passed from
- 5:18the time. The Lord struck the Nile
- 5:31Lord, It's Easy for us to hear the story and say, Tut Tut
- 5:35Pharaoh, how can your heart be so hard?
- 5:39But she will like that, aren't we?
- 5:42I bet there are so many times you're trying to convict us of
- 5:45one thing or another or trying to lead our hearts in your
- 5:48direction and we just stubbornly refused to follow you and you're
- 5:55leading I pray that you would soften our hearts.
- 6:00That you would make them receptive to your calling that
