- 2:07Speaker 5: Up for your brand new account at fabt dot com.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I don't lose my temper very often. I think we all.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I think, you know, I've had that reputation on the field,
- 2:17Speaker 2: you know, calm, cool, collective every now and then, But
- 2:20Speaker 2: when I have to call to these people phone lines
- 2:25Speaker 2: and click the buttons and then not to mention when
- 2:28Speaker 2: you can also, like they think it's more convenient when
- 2:31Speaker 2: you can say your option and push it, not when
- 2:35Speaker 2: you have children and there's talking in the background and
- 2:38Speaker 2: they're like, we didn't understand you, goodbye, And then I scream,
- 2:43Speaker 2: I scream, and I curse at my phone.
- 2:45Speaker 6: No one's listening.
- 2:47Speaker 2: But I do don't get that with First American making trust.
- 2:50Speaker 5: No, you did that, fabt dot com, fabt dot com.
- 2:54Speaker 6: I feel a little uncomfortable right now.
- 2:57Speaker 8: Because I switched it up.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Yes you did. I fear I was.
- 3:00Speaker 8: Actually going to do it in the first hour. I
- 3:02Speaker 8: was going to play the hour two for the open
- 3:06Speaker 8: just to like mix things up. It's like, but I
- 3:09Speaker 8: didn't want to alarm y'all too much. Yeah, so I
- 3:11Speaker 8: was like, let me do an hour two.
- 3:13Speaker 9: Definitely that wasn't the hour two open. Yeah, just realizing.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Sometimes like at your it's like immediately like you take
- 3:21Speaker 2: sometimes you just rearrange your furniture in a room.
- 3:24Speaker 6: And it makes it feel like you got a whole
- 3:26Speaker 6: new furnish. This is awesome. I get it.
- 3:30Speaker 8: It's a whole new show.
- 3:31Speaker 7: It's a whole new show. It's be a random question.
- 3:35Speaker 5: But oh well, it's the last time y'all went to
- 3:38Speaker 5: a movie, to the movie theater, not for not for you,
- 3:44Speaker 5: not for a kid's movie.
- 3:46Speaker 8: I went to go see Marty Supreme whenever it came out.
- 3:49Speaker 7: All right, yeah, so recently, good for you?
- 3:51Speaker 9: When were you guys out all week? Because whenever you
- 3:54Speaker 9: go ago, okay, then that Monday, okay, well we got
- 4:00Speaker 9: we go like a month like.
- 4:03Speaker 6: They're they're in a better like a different like a
- 4:05Speaker 6: different time. Sure.
- 4:06Speaker 7: I love movies, love them, always have, always will.
- 4:09Speaker 5: I when I used to travel for LSU football, like wait,
- 4:14Speaker 5: like when I first kind of got into this, like
- 4:16Speaker 5: twenty fourteen, fifteen sixteen, I would go see a movie
- 4:20Speaker 5: by myself on the road every road trip, and I
- 4:22Speaker 5: did a segment of Fox Sports Radio and I'd rate
- 4:25Speaker 5: a movie like that's what it was. Because every time
- 4:27Speaker 5: they called me, I was like, Hey, I'm getting out
- 4:29Speaker 5: of the movies like you go every Friday. I'm like
- 4:31Speaker 5: fre on the road. So it turned into a bit
- 4:34Speaker 5: loved it favorite pastime. My kids don't share that same
- 4:39Speaker 5: love for it, I don't think, not like I do.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Like they would rather like watch a movie at the house.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I've gotten to where I really enjoy watching a
- 4:47Speaker 2: movie at a house, but there is something different about
- 4:52Speaker 2: going to the theater, which I like. The last time
- 4:55Speaker 2: Lasa and I went to movie, I don't know when
- 4:57Speaker 2: tho oh, I can't couldn't tell you. I couldn't tell
- 4:59Speaker 2: you what movie was. But you're right, though, we do
- 5:01Speaker 2: go to the movie theater more.
- 5:04Speaker 5: You're listening, let me know the last movie we went
- 5:05Speaker 5: and saw without children.
- 5:09Speaker 2: We used to go, like when we were dating. We
- 5:11Speaker 2: would go because we love the popcorn so much and
- 5:14Speaker 2: we love movies. But like now the popcor that the
- 5:17Speaker 2: home popcorn technology has improved a lot to where it's
- 5:22Speaker 2: pretty darn good at home as well. But I do
- 5:26Speaker 2: love I love going to the previews have gotten a
- 5:30Speaker 2: little intense. It's from like a time perspective, like ten
- 5:34Speaker 2: fifteen minutes is fine. Yeah, of previews, it's like twenty five.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Last time I went, I counted it, it was like twenty
- 5:39Speaker 2: seven minutes. If you're taking children, you got to be
- 5:42Speaker 2: You don't have to be on time. Just that don't
- 5:45Speaker 2: be on time. And I get it. You gotta sell movies.
- 5:50Speaker 6: And theater. I asked that.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Okay, So I do have a point to ask that
- 5:53Speaker 5: question because I'm sitting there like yesterday and I'm like
- 5:55Speaker 5: on Apple TV and I'm like, oh, that's already out,
- 5:58Speaker 5: like on digital. I thought that just came out in
- 6:00Speaker 5: theaters or like two weeks after. These deals are out,
- 6:03Speaker 5: and so I'm like, man, that's call saving for sure.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Like for my family, we roll deep, right, there's seven
- 6:12Speaker 5: of us. So like going to the movies, it's it's
- 6:14Speaker 5: one hundred and fifty bucks bare minimum.
- 6:17Speaker 7: If you do like bare minimum, you have to get
- 6:19Speaker 7: the snacks.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you gotta do a lot.
- 6:21Speaker 5: So I'm sitting there, I'm looking I'm like, are movie
- 6:25Speaker 5: theaters about to die? Are they about to be like gone?
- 6:29Speaker 5: Because if this movie comes out two weeks. So I
- 6:32Speaker 5: started to think, Okay, well, what could they do, Like,
- 6:35Speaker 5: what what's something they could do in movie theaters to
- 6:38Speaker 5: be able to bring butts in seats. I think having
- 6:43Speaker 5: like major sporting events in a movie theater would be awesome.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Imagine watching now the timing of it would be tough.
- 6:51Speaker 5: It'd be early in the morning. Imagine watching USA Canada
- 6:55Speaker 5: hockey with the bros.
- 7:01Speaker 6: Male female.
- 7:01Speaker 7: That's a that's a very non gender bros.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's I think.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I imagine how often.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I don't know if it the atmosphere is going to
- 7:13Speaker 2: be better than.
- 7:14Speaker 7: A sports bar. I don't know for for a group
- 7:17Speaker 7: of bros.
- 7:18Speaker 5: I don't know though, Like if you have drinks, like
- 7:20Speaker 5: you serve drinks and everybody's got a good seat because
- 7:24Speaker 5: of the seating, and you're not like standing up and
- 7:27Speaker 5: looking at a TV that's about thirteen feet away in
- 7:30Speaker 5: the corner. Like imagine if if it's Japan USA World
- 7:34Speaker 5: Baseball Classic and the Wolfpack went to a movie theater
- 7:37Speaker 5: and had some snacks and cold pops.
- 7:39Speaker 9: So it's AMC now. I guess it was rave at
- 7:44Speaker 9: the time. The one off of O'Neil rave.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That's what it was in college, crazy large part. So
- 7:51Speaker 2: it was the year right right, you're never gonna fill.
- 7:56Speaker 7: It was randomly like the Giant, the longest thing.
- 7:59Speaker 9: It was a year after y'all left, So it was Florida, Oklahoma,
- 8:03Speaker 9: Tebo Sam Bradford like that. That game. I remember like
- 8:06Speaker 9: going to the movies and they were advertising like a
- 8:08Speaker 9: month out, Hey, come watch the game, Come watch the
- 8:10Speaker 9: game of the theater. I wound up not going, But
- 8:12Speaker 9: they've never done it since then. I don't know if
- 8:15Speaker 9: it didn't go well or what, but I mean I
- 8:16Speaker 9: vividly remember them that.
- 8:18Speaker 7: Well, that's when movies were still popping too, right.
- 8:21Speaker 2: My whole point is, but then you're paying like fifteen
- 8:23Speaker 2: bucks for a ticket to go watch a game, going
- 8:25Speaker 2: for the experience.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I think.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Like if you're going for the bros, like you want
- 8:30Speaker 2: to slam some do sakis and watch it, and I
- 8:33Speaker 2: know you can kind of do that at the theater.
- 8:35Speaker 6: A little bit.
- 8:37Speaker 7: But so you're not liking I No, I don't like
- 8:40Speaker 7: the idea here.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I don't like because you want to high five people
- 8:43Speaker 6: around you.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Yeah you can do that, rules it's not it's not
- 8:48Speaker 5: that it's we're gonna get rowdy in here.
- 8:50Speaker 8: I don't hate the idea, thank you, especially if it's
- 8:53Speaker 8: somewhere like movie tavern where they have like drinks and
- 8:56Speaker 8: stuff like get a little crowded.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Yeah, if l shoes away, Like what's a big away
- 9:02Speaker 5: if you can't go to the Old Miss game next year, Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 5: but you get to sit in the movie tavern.
- 9:06Speaker 8: I guess they kind of do that with like the
- 9:09Speaker 8: place in Dallas.
- 9:10Speaker 9: Yeah, that's so, I say, if you re arranged I
- 9:12Speaker 9: was about to bring that up to yea.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Cosmo.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Yeah, they do it with like I want to go
- 9:18Speaker 8: see a UFC fighting that.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Thing now they if they rearranged it to where like
- 9:22Speaker 2: you could get some sort of like you kind of want.
- 9:26Speaker 6: I feel like you want like a.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Table seating, like when you're watching it with the people,
- 9:28Speaker 2: You don't want to be like side by side in
- 9:32Speaker 2: a lounge chairs.
- 9:33Speaker 9: Jake's point though, you could you could do it in
- 9:36Speaker 9: multiple theaters. I mean, it doesn't have to be it
- 9:40Speaker 9: doesn't have to be just like one theater, so you
- 9:42Speaker 9: don't have to wait for a seed or whatever if
- 9:43Speaker 9: the bars crowded.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I mean, you could do anywhere you do half the theaters.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Mm hm, I feel like the movie theaters are doing
- 9:55Speaker 2: pretty good, do you. I mean during COVID, during the
- 9:58Speaker 2: during the COVID. But I feel like there's a.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Reason why movies are two weeks now.
- 10:05Speaker 7: They're on digital.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Yeah, so some of them are not that.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Oh it absolutely was.
- 10:14Speaker 6: No, it was not.
- 10:14Speaker 2: It was it was not. Trust me I wanted so
- 10:19Speaker 2: it used to It used to be like eight months out.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It used to be eight or nine weeks though, is
- 10:23Speaker 2: my point minimum? Well, that was ridiculous before I went
- 10:28Speaker 2: to Blockbuster because they had to print all the VHS's
- 10:31Speaker 2: the last movie we saw.
- 10:33Speaker 9: It's called Screen Unseen. AMC does that movie? Tavern does that?
- 10:36Speaker 9: I believe Celebrity does it like.
- 10:37Speaker 6: A lot of Green Unseen.
- 10:39Speaker 9: So you get an early screening of a movie and
- 10:42Speaker 9: you don't know what it is until you sit down
- 10:44Speaker 9: and it's it's like six months a ticket.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Like okay, amusing toy.
- 10:47Speaker 9: We've done it three times.
- 10:48Speaker 6: We love it.
- 10:49Speaker 9: Like sometimes it'll tell you the genre, sometimes it won't.
- 10:52Speaker 9: And so like we went on that on that Monday.
- 10:55Speaker 9: They do it like Monday night once a month, and uh,
- 10:58Speaker 9: place was packed.
- 10:59Speaker 6: That's fine. It could be any giant like scary.
- 11:02Speaker 9: Well, it'll tell you it'll be like this genre. Here's
- 11:05Speaker 9: what it's rated, here's the run time. Okay, they don't
- 11:08Speaker 9: tell you the name of the movie, who's in.
- 11:09Speaker 6: It, nothing, that's fine. I also like the re releases.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I know, like they re released Interstellar not too long ago,
- 11:14Speaker 2: like classic movies that if you didn't get a chance
- 11:17Speaker 2: to watch it in the big screen.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I would like for them to re release
- 11:21Speaker 2: like Dune because I didn't get to see it in
- 11:24Speaker 2: the big screen, and I heard that it was.
- 11:25Speaker 8: Amazing, Like June three is coming out in December.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Yeah, hell yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 9: So I remember, like before that Last Scream came out,
- 11:35Speaker 9: like a couple of years ago, they were Victoria's like, oh,
- 11:39Speaker 9: I might want to see that, but I've never seen
- 11:40Speaker 9: the original. And then they released it in theaters and
- 11:43Speaker 9: I was like no, no, no, no, no, We're going to the theater.
- 11:44Speaker 9: So she saw it like in theaters first time.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 11:50Speaker 2: See that's fine. That's fun to do that, not that
- 11:53Speaker 2: I've done it because of children.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Steven inside the bite for Jed said, just got a
- 12:00Speaker 5: text from AMC Theaters, which I haven't gotten one in
- 12:03Speaker 5: years from them.
- 12:04Speaker 9: Sorry, you can get You're gonna get Facebook ads.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Oh, they're also making their money back on those those buckets,
- 12:13Speaker 2: those popcorn buckets that are themed.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Yeah, the movie things.
- 12:17Speaker 7: I had to buy because your kids have asked for them,
- 12:18Speaker 7: just like sliding.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Twenty eight bucks or whatever, just for the empty one,
- 12:23Speaker 2: for the empty one, for the opportunity to buy the bucket,
- 12:27Speaker 2: and the opportunity to buy popcorn to go in it.
- 12:30Speaker 7: It's like a seating license, like when you're buying season tickets.
- 12:33Speaker 5: You get the opportunity pay to get the opportunity to
- 12:36Speaker 5: pay for the tickets as well.
- 12:39Speaker 2: All right, just the movie. I also feel like movie
- 12:42Speaker 2: butter has gone downhill since we were children.
- 12:48Speaker 8: There's nothing that makes me happier than a bag of
- 12:53Speaker 8: popcorn from the movie theater, all buttered up. Yeah, and
- 12:57Speaker 8: a coke.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it's.
- 13:06Speaker 8: I don't know why. My voice was just going, you
- 13:08Speaker 8: love it that much?
- 13:10Speaker 6: I get it, Like the butter is still really good.
- 13:12Speaker 8: Like let me just recover real quick the butter, Like the.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Butter just hit you in the coke and cherry icy bruh.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And I love it when they don't they don't scoop
- 13:26Speaker 2: your popcorn out that fresh popcorn is popping out the
- 13:31Speaker 2: waterfall of popcorn and cascades into your best Oh my gosh,
- 13:35Speaker 2: then a glizzy.
- 13:37Speaker 7: I guess my secondary is a soft pretzel.
- 13:39Speaker 8: No glazy all the way.
- 13:41Speaker 9: I've never done a movie theater hot I'll do it.
- 13:44Speaker 8: You are doing yourself as service.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I'm all about like, I'm hyper focused, solely focused on
- 13:49Speaker 2: the popcorn.
- 13:51Speaker 6: And my kids will get a little candy.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Maybe I'll like sneak a you know, a nerd rope
- 13:55Speaker 2: or whatever, a little bite, but I'm focused on the popcorn.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I don't want to fast room with that other stuff.
- 14:01Speaker 8: That excuse for me to get a hot dog. I'm
- 14:08Speaker 8: getting a hot dog.
- 14:11Speaker 2: To bring this back to sports, when was the last
- 14:13Speaker 2: time we had to go Did we talk about this before?
- 14:14Speaker 2: When was the last time we had a good football
- 14:16Speaker 2: movie released where you talked about me and you talked
- 14:18Speaker 2: about it off air? Okay, like a good sports movie
- 14:21Speaker 2: that was released.
- 14:22Speaker 7: Did you just try to reset us back to sports?
- 14:24Speaker 4: Uh?
- 14:25Speaker 6: Kind of.
- 14:27Speaker 9: It's been a while.
- 14:28Speaker 6: I mean, what's.
- 14:29Speaker 2: The I don't know if people are making I don't
- 14:33Speaker 2: know if people are making those type of movies anymore.
- 14:35Speaker 8: The blind Side was like the last good football.
- 14:38Speaker 5: But I do some research on the timeline theaters.
- 14:42Speaker 9: Moneyball, Yeah in theaters when the game stands tall. About
- 14:48Speaker 9: Dyla So, I think came out when I was in college.
- 14:50Speaker 7: We played we played against Dayla.
- 14:51Speaker 9: So yeah, so I think that was in that movie.
- 14:55Speaker 9: Were you in that movie?
- 14:56Speaker 6: Hello?
- 14:58Speaker 7: No way ba in that No?
- 15:01Speaker 6: Yep? He was.
- 15:05Speaker 7: So The thing about football movies that that.
- 15:07Speaker 8: I just love that guy.
- 15:09Speaker 6: It's how bad people look doing it.
- 15:11Speaker 5: The uniforms look bad, their running looks bad, the throwing
- 15:15Speaker 5: looks horrible. You telling me like there's not an actor
- 15:19Speaker 5: that played some level of high school football.
- 15:22Speaker 2: The latest longest yard was good. They look good in
- 15:24Speaker 2: their uniform they were athletic, they.
- 15:26Speaker 9: Had I mean, like Michael Irvin was your receiver.
- 15:31Speaker 6: But they're even the act.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Get go get like Flynn to spend a month with
- 15:36Speaker 5: the actor you hired to play quarterback. He's got some
- 15:38Speaker 5: high school experience and he's gonna throw it like it's
- 15:41Speaker 5: supposed to be thrown. That's why I like like Varsity
- 15:44Speaker 5: Blues did that, Like they brought in people as like
- 15:46Speaker 5: all right, James Rinnerby looked like he could actually spin it,
- 15:51Speaker 5: like get the get the uniforms. Taylor too, what are
- 15:53Speaker 5: we doing? And the running backs always have these giant show.
- 15:56Speaker 2: It's that one clip from a TV show of that
- 15:58Speaker 2: quarterback stone.
- 16:02Speaker 6: Oh the like this was it?
- 16:05Speaker 5: Not the Glenn Powell one, No, no, no, this is older.
- 16:09Speaker 9: All American the show that's like pop.
- 16:12Speaker 8: I think it was that one.
- 16:12Speaker 9: Well, they make they make fun of his route running
- 16:14Speaker 9: because he's the receiver. So I mean, and it's awful.
- 16:17Speaker 7: It's bad.
- 16:18Speaker 6: That's a good point by go south f one.
- 16:21Speaker 9: Oh that was yeah, Okay, I was very good. I
- 16:24Speaker 9: meant to tell you this. I watched it two Sundays ago,
- 16:27Speaker 9: better than I thought it was gonna be awesome.
- 16:29Speaker 7: I saw in theaters, me and Jackson went.
- 16:31Speaker 9: And it was one of those movies where it's like
- 16:33Speaker 9: it was like almost three hours and I'm sitting there
- 16:35Speaker 9: and I'm like, they needed all of this, they need.
- 16:40Speaker 6: Hey, Tripod.
- 16:41Speaker 2: We did talk about this when Jake was out because
- 16:43Speaker 2: we brought out the Last Boy Scout.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Oh Last Boy Scout, when he's like, literally, here's the
- 16:51Speaker 5: best League blocker You've ever seen.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Yeah, that was.
- 16:55Speaker 8: The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 16:57Speaker 8: And I don't know what's more ridiculous that or the
- 17:00Speaker 8: Fast and Furious taking the car up to space.
- 17:05Speaker 9: Director gotta let me think about it that he's in
- 17:10Speaker 9: the locker and he's like, guys about touchdown numbers are down.
- 17:12Speaker 9: He's like, if I killed all the defensive players, probably
- 17:15Speaker 9: be a lot.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Easier to school score. Look, there's no room against it.
- 17:19Speaker 5: I love fullbacks, but a revolver gets the job done
- 17:23Speaker 5: a little bit.
- 17:23Speaker 8: There than God. Aaron Hernandez didn't ever watch that movie.
- 17:27Speaker 6: That note. We will take a break more o TV
- 17:30Speaker 6: when we come back.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Off the Bench two thousand and seven. Champs Purple and
- 18:03Speaker 1: Gold to the core. This is Off the Bench with
- 18:06Speaker 1: Hester and Flynn Baton, Rouge's go to for all things
- 18:10Speaker 1: Louisiana sports.
- 18:37Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 18:39Speaker 5: Raisin Kanes Studio. How could you ever forget about our
- 18:43Speaker 5: friends over at Rouse's couldn't happen. Certainly, when you go
- 18:48Speaker 5: to rolses dot com, you find that location that is
- 18:51Speaker 5: nearest you and you're like, huh man, look at these
- 18:53Speaker 5: weekly specials they've got going on. Well, then you got
- 18:57Speaker 5: to go in because you got to take advantage of
- 18:58Speaker 5: those specials. When you walk in you're like, oh, this
- 19:01Speaker 5: is awesome. Got crawlfish love that, Get sushi bar, that's cool,
- 19:07Speaker 5: breakfast bar, lunch bar, rotisserie, chickens. All right there, you
- 19:11Speaker 5: got your dinner options already made for you.
- 19:13Speaker 7: Main entree insides.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Got a lot of local saying hydrated school, certainly this
- 19:19Speaker 5: weekend with Saint Patti's coming up talking there's a hydration
- 19:22Speaker 5: product there.
- 19:23Speaker 6: It's called my I ever heard of it?
- 19:26Speaker 5: Get that there as well every single morn Some would
- 19:29Speaker 5: call it a one stop shop.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the best grocery store.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Yeah, Rosses dot com. It is March the twelfth, And
- 19:42Speaker 5: I don't know that I've ever been less engaged with
- 19:45Speaker 5: March madness in my entire life. Typically, and maybe you
- 19:52Speaker 5: don't know this because you have been here for a March.
- 19:54Speaker 5: They know this, Like I am dialed into March madness
- 19:58Speaker 5: last year on Louisan Sports down that I gave my picks,
- 20:01Speaker 5: like and I was doing the college show.
- 20:03Speaker 7: So it makes more sense.
- 20:04Speaker 5: But with LSU basketball just not being great, they lost again,
- 20:08Speaker 5: They're out there done, season's over.
- 20:11Speaker 7: It's like, yeah, I just broke that news to mat.
- 20:14Speaker 6: It's I think you just broke it to most people.
- 20:19Speaker 9: That's like they played yesterday.
- 20:21Speaker 5: It's just not what I wanted to be. Like, I
- 20:24Speaker 5: love March madness, I love filling out the bracket. I
- 20:26Speaker 5: love doing the whole deal. Just not there right now.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but do most people get like excited for it
- 20:35Speaker 2: before the bracket comes out, Like after the bracket comes out,
- 20:38Speaker 2: then it's like, oh yeah, to fill out now, Like
- 20:40Speaker 2: Huck asked me about it, we.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Got like that.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I'm saying, like I won't be as dialed into who's good,
- 20:46Speaker 5: who's bad, who's.
- 20:47Speaker 2: What, so you can be one of us. Yeah, you
- 20:49Speaker 2: just filling out the bracket. It's gonna be great. What's
- 20:52Speaker 2: the best.
- 20:57Speaker 3: It is?
- 20:57Speaker 6: Like y'all, y'all tell them.
- 21:00Speaker 9: I don't normally dial into conference tournaments, so like I
- 21:03Speaker 9: actually watch a decent amount of regular season basketball conference tournaments.
- 21:06Speaker 9: I don't care, Like I mean, look, we had Mokey
- 21:08Speaker 9: on last week and she kind of said.
- 21:09Speaker 7: This definitely be way more dialed into the women's tournament.
- 21:13Speaker 9: Right right right, But I mean, you know Moki said
- 21:16Speaker 9: it last week. Conference tournaments are for these teams that
- 21:18Speaker 9: need to make a run and win it all to
- 21:20Speaker 9: get into the tournament. Like, do I care if Arizona,
- 21:24Speaker 9: Kansas or Michigan or any of these teams, they're gonna
- 21:27Speaker 9: be fine. They're gonna be good seeds, whether they make
- 21:29Speaker 9: it to the finals, whether they lose first game. So
- 21:32Speaker 9: conference tournament's not a thing for me. But yeah, I'll
- 21:34Speaker 9: be decently not to Jake s.
- 21:36Speaker 6: White.
- 21:37Speaker 9: Not nearly as much as last year, because I just
- 21:38Speaker 9: thought the field was wide open last year. Like, not
- 21:41Speaker 9: not quite as much as last year. But I mean,
- 21:43Speaker 9: I'll still be watching.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Laundry. You're watching at all? Are we already were on
- 21:49Speaker 5: to college baseball and we'll see you next year.
- 21:51Speaker 6: Basketball.
- 21:51Speaker 8: No, I've not paid an ounce of attention to basketball
- 21:55Speaker 8: at all this season, probably more women's than men's.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Yeah, that shoe basketball just another year. They finished the
- 22:03Speaker 5: season fifteen and seventeen. They lose to Kentucky eighty seven
- 22:06Speaker 5: to eighty two last night, And look, I appreciate the
- 22:09Speaker 5: fight over the last couple of games, the overtime, multiple
- 22:12Speaker 5: overtime game against A and M last night.
- 22:14Speaker 6: You fought. I love it. It's great.
- 22:16Speaker 5: It's just when you're fifteen and seventeen and you're bad,
- 22:19Speaker 5: bad in conference play, it's just hard to get excited
- 22:22Speaker 5: about it. And a sport that you know typically would
- 22:25Speaker 5: be all locked in, ready to go, fired up.
- 22:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm not locked in, and I'm probably not gonna
- 22:33Speaker 8: lock into any of the tournament either. I'm just not
- 22:37Speaker 8: into it this season.
- 22:38Speaker 6: I know.
- 22:38Speaker 7: I think a lot of people feel that way.
- 22:39Speaker 8: Yeah. Also, wasn't wasn't it like all the one seeds won?
- 22:45Speaker 6: Yeah? Last year?
- 22:46Speaker 8: Last year?
- 22:46Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 22:47Speaker 9: Born Yeah, and last year was the year they were like,
- 22:49Speaker 9: this is anybody's startlement? Like I thought that as well,
- 22:52Speaker 9: But yeah, I mean it was if you picked the brackets.
- 22:55Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure I picked like all the one seeds
- 22:57Speaker 8: because of like I just was like, I'm gonna just
- 22:59Speaker 8: pick all right favorites and then.
- 23:03Speaker 9: Yeah, very few opposites last year, So.
- 23:07Speaker 8: I'm not into that. I like March Madness when it
- 23:09Speaker 8: there's like a Cinderella story and there's like a smaller
- 23:12Speaker 8: school that has to like that goes on this run.
- 23:15Speaker 8: And it wasn't really like that last season at all. No,
- 23:23Speaker 8: all right, it wasn't it like obvious.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I was just gonna go all the way, welcome, Welcome,
- 23:28Speaker 5: how you've been your whole life.
- 23:32Speaker 6: I don't usually watch a dribble basketball till the tournament. Yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 6: by to being a bout of booms.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Probably for the first time, I couldn't care less about
- 23:39Speaker 5: the NCAA tournament.
- 23:40Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't. Well, but I also just don't think
- 23:42Speaker 8: I've watched a lot of LSU basketball since like two
- 23:46Speaker 8: three years ago.
- 23:52Speaker 5: It's got a LSU basketball and that's I used to
- 23:54Speaker 5: love it. Yeah, that's a conversation that.
- 23:59Speaker 6: I know.
- 24:00Speaker 5: I know what it costs, I know the money. I
- 24:02Speaker 5: don't know that they're going to make that move. I
- 24:04Speaker 5: think Matt McMahon's going to be back for another year.
- 24:07Speaker 5: I think that's all the signs are pointing to that.
- 24:09Speaker 5: But they've tried it a couple of different ways. They've
- 24:13Speaker 5: tried it through high school recruiting. They've tried it with
- 24:15Speaker 5: transfers from different places, big schools, small schools, American players,
- 24:19Speaker 5: international players.
- 24:21Speaker 7: Just hadn't worked.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's not going It won't work until you
- 24:26Speaker 2: make a change. It's just does LSU have that appetite
- 24:29Speaker 2: to make that change? Doesn't feel like it, And.
- 24:34Speaker 5: It's kind of like we've talked about, it's the only
- 24:36Speaker 5: sport right now that doesn't move the needle.
- 24:39Speaker 8: So Hunt actually just put out an article about Matt
- 24:43Speaker 8: McMahon and how his future is probably going to be
- 24:45Speaker 8: determined this month or whatever. And McMahon through his four
- 24:48Speaker 8: years here at LSU is sixty and seventy and has
- 24:52Speaker 8: won less than twenty four percent of his conference games.
- 24:57Speaker 8: So for reference, Nannie Jones won forty seven percent of
- 25:02Speaker 8: his conference games, Trent Johnson thirty nine percent. Smoke, let's
- 25:07Speaker 8: go to baseball, all smoke of conference games. Even Nicky
- 25:13Speaker 8: Fargas one of her conference games.
- 25:18Speaker 9: So wow, this is sixteen and.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Either way it's in the conference wins.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Seventeen conference wins, and we would all agree here, like
- 25:29Speaker 5: love Matt McMahon, one of the best human beings I've ever.
- 25:31Speaker 8: Met, great human.
- 25:34Speaker 5: But in the day and age where you can flip
- 25:36Speaker 5: a roster and change it pretty quick, like it's tough,
- 25:39Speaker 5: like the situation you took over year, if it'd have
- 25:42Speaker 5: been years ago, like you completely understand it. In fact,
- 25:45Speaker 5: you'd be like, okay, look, okay, it's not that bad.
- 25:48Speaker 5: But with the way you can flip your roster, change
- 25:50Speaker 5: your roster and snap your finger and you've got twelve
- 25:53Speaker 5: new players, it's a tough. Look, Yeah, And when your
- 25:58Speaker 5: athletic department is good in everything else, and gymnastics and
- 26:03Speaker 5: soccer and baseball, and like football obviously, like we want
- 26:08Speaker 5: it to be better, but football hasn't fallen off a cliff,
- 26:11Speaker 5: like like basketball, right, I mean not that long ago.
- 26:14Speaker 7: You're an SEC championship game.
- 26:17Speaker 8: You were in the Elite eight or the Sweet sixteen.
- 26:20Speaker 7: I mean ye, basketball, Yes, And like every other sport.
- 26:24Speaker 5: We could point to golf, we could point to beach volleyball,
- 26:27Speaker 5: I could go on on track and field, certainly, swimming
- 26:30Speaker 5: and diving, tennis, like all these sports are good. And
- 26:34Speaker 5: like you got this Alba Charless right now, that's just
- 26:36Speaker 5: sitting there. It's just not only not good.
- 26:38Speaker 9: Because your bigger sports are really bad.
- 26:40Speaker 5: Yeah it's one of the few. It's just revenue generating sports,
- 26:44Speaker 5: and you're just really bad and so bad that people
- 26:47Speaker 5: that have always enjoyed going to the games talking about
- 26:50Speaker 5: the games like it's to a point where you just
- 26:53Speaker 5: expect them to lose, and like it's for us.
- 26:57Speaker 7: It's just like a hand wave mentioned because it's so bad.
- 27:00Speaker 2: It's just the word that comes mind is indifference, Like
- 27:03Speaker 2: I think for a lot of fans, and certainly it
- 27:06Speaker 2: feels like from the like administration like there's some indifference
- 27:09Speaker 2: on here, like because it's a different college sports is
- 27:13Speaker 2: a different world. There's a you got a budget to
- 27:15Speaker 2: right amount to be successful. Now you have all the
- 27:18Speaker 2: you have. You have a lot of colleges and universities
- 27:20Speaker 2: out there that don't have big football programs in their
- 27:22Speaker 2: basketball schools, Well they can. They can designate all of
- 27:26Speaker 2: that fifteen million of the twenty million dollars that you
- 27:31Speaker 2: that can be used for nil. They can designate a
- 27:33Speaker 2: lot larger percentage towards their basketball than you can. But
- 27:36Speaker 2: that's that's not an excuse because there's a lot of
- 27:39Speaker 2: other programs in the SEC doing it clearly that have
- 27:41Speaker 2: big football programs. I just the word in difference kinds
- 27:45Speaker 2: because I think it is that you are so good
- 27:48Speaker 2: at other sports, like you don't have to hang your
- 27:50Speaker 2: hat on one of the bigger sports in college athletics,
- 27:53Speaker 2: which is men's basketball. Now, if the women weren't so
- 27:58Speaker 2: good and Molchi wasn't it's such an amazing coach and
- 28:01Speaker 2: such a big personality, maybe there is more focus on
- 28:03Speaker 2: the side of things, but it's not the case. It's
- 28:06Speaker 2: just so LSU's in like this weird situation where with
- 28:11Speaker 2: men's basketball, which is traditionally one of the top sports
- 28:15Speaker 2: in college athletics.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Like there's just.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Indifference from everybody, I think, And maybe it's not everybody,
- 28:21Speaker 2: but I think a large population of LSU fans there's
- 28:24Speaker 2: a difference.
- 28:25Speaker 8: So I think that the person that is the director
- 28:29Speaker 8: of the Board of supervisors really really cares. I don't
- 28:33Speaker 8: know if everybody else does, right, So, I.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Mean it'd be great if they were good. Yeah, that's
- 28:41Speaker 6: the thing. It's like like they take a big effort.
- 28:46Speaker 8: I think they try to. Like they funded them pretty
- 28:49Speaker 8: greatly this season, and I mean he did get DJ
- 28:51Speaker 8: Thomas and Jalen Reid was supposed to come back to
- 28:54Speaker 8: and that sucks, like it really does. But why don't
- 28:57Speaker 8: you have the depth to back that up? It gave
- 29:02Speaker 8: you plenty of money.
- 29:03Speaker 9: Right, Like this year you've had Max McKinnon.
- 29:05Speaker 6: That's it. Yep.
- 29:06Speaker 2: So like they tried with the funds and it failed again.
- 29:10Speaker 6: Yeah, so like what's that?
- 29:12Speaker 8: So why why wouldn't you Well, but why wouldn't you
- 29:14Speaker 8: want to like protect your investment?
- 29:18Speaker 6: At some point you got to cut the losses.
- 29:19Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, And I mean basketball is always gonna be
- 29:22Speaker 9: third here, Like it's it's second, and most as easy
- 29:25Speaker 9: schools it's third here. So I mean, to your point
- 29:27Speaker 9: about the appetite, like, unless you focuses on baseball a
- 29:30Speaker 9: lot more than others, which I mean you should, LSU
- 29:32Speaker 9: has been dominant in baseball, So I mean, to that
- 29:35Speaker 9: point about the appetite, yeah.
- 29:37Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 29:38Speaker 7: I mean they do.
- 29:40Speaker 5: But also, like we pull up the baseball standings and
- 29:42Speaker 5: there's schools that care about football and basketball that are
- 29:45Speaker 5: right there at the top of baseball too.
- 29:47Speaker 8: In Florida, well, I guess they're like in the middle.
- 29:50Speaker 7: But there's enough to go around.
- 29:53Speaker 6: Yeah. Maybe maybe it's a situation where like.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Well like Texas, text A and m whatever you want
- 29:58Speaker 5: to say, they made a playoff and in foot ball, right,
- 30:01Speaker 5: their basketball team certainly much better than l shoes. Your
- 30:05Speaker 5: baseball team's fifteen to one. I mean, we could go
- 30:07Speaker 5: around the league. I mean, Auburn obviously basketball hadn't been
- 30:11Speaker 5: what it's typically been, but they're making a coaching change.
- 30:13Speaker 9: You're going, I mean, well, yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 7: There's schools that you can care about all three.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Now LSU baseball is going to be higher than the
- 30:24Speaker 5: most like yep, it's like Kentucky basketball level with LSU baseball.
- 30:28Speaker 5: So I get what you're saying there, but that doesn't
- 30:31Speaker 5: mean you can be that bad. You can't be bad
- 30:33Speaker 5: enough where I turn on the TV and it looks
- 30:37Speaker 5: like a scrimmage because there's seven fans there, right, And
- 30:40Speaker 5: I don't blame them.
- 30:42Speaker 7: My kids love going to basketball games.
- 30:43Speaker 5: But like, if we get the option now, we're gonna
- 30:47Speaker 5: go watch Kim Ulkie squad.
- 30:48Speaker 9: We were talking about it, Me and Brian were talking
- 30:50Speaker 9: about it in the hallway the other day. I was like,
- 30:51Speaker 9: the men's basketball team this year, crowd wise, they passed
- 30:54Speaker 9: COVID restrictions. They're good social distancing, not an issue.
- 31:01Speaker 6: COVID proof. Yeah, mm hmmm.
- 31:06Speaker 5: And a note like the conversation is like the buy
- 31:10Speaker 5: out the money, and you know people in inner circles
- 31:12Speaker 5: say there's nothing. If they want to find the money,
- 31:16Speaker 5: I've been in too many of those meetings. They'll find
- 31:18Speaker 5: the money. Look how much they just found.
- 31:20Speaker 6: For this football shocking, how much money unless you keep your.
- 31:22Speaker 5: Gun crazy again, let me just tell you I've been
- 31:26Speaker 5: in those conversations.
- 31:28Speaker 7: They can find it if they want it.
- 31:30Speaker 5: There's calls they can make to certain people if they
- 31:32Speaker 5: want to it's do you want to spend that money?
- 31:34Speaker 7: Right now? Do you care enough to spend that money?
- 31:37Speaker 5: Or like we talked about, is your athletic department so
- 31:40Speaker 5: stable everywhere else? You're like, all right, well this was
- 31:45Speaker 5: just gonna have to take some hits on the chin here.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean to build that appetite, you'd have to
- 31:53Speaker 2: pander to the people a little bit. You'd have to
- 31:55Speaker 2: bring in a little waite or somebody with a big
- 31:58Speaker 2: sexy name out there.
- 32:02Speaker 6: To write that check. Yep, it's gonna cost you more
- 32:05Speaker 6: than that.
- 32:05Speaker 5: By it's gonna cast you to buy out that coaches
- 32:07Speaker 5: buy out and then that coaches contract, but again in assistance.
- 32:11Speaker 7: But again, if somebody cares enough, the calls can be made.
- 32:15Speaker 5: It's just are they going to care enough to pick
- 32:18Speaker 5: up the phone or they can allow it to run
- 32:20Speaker 5: it back one more year.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Never underestimate people's desire to win. Yeah, people with a
- 32:29Speaker 2: lot of money.

- 35:17Speaker 5: Gordon Curtnin Injury Attorneys, Get Gordon dot com. Uh, mister Taylor,
- 35:23Speaker 5: mister Jake, when does spring football officially get.
- 35:27Speaker 9: Kicked off begin in April? I believe let me check
- 35:30Speaker 9: the exact date.
- 35:34Speaker 5: What's our excitement level for spring football, because normally, let's be.
- 35:37Speaker 9: Honest, they were like March twenty fourth.
- 35:40Speaker 7: March twenty fourth, oh so.
- 35:41Speaker 9: Coming up less than two weeks.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I'm honestly kind of excited.
- 35:46Speaker 8: Yeah, I was about to say I'm at it. I'm
- 35:48Speaker 8: honestly excited about it because we have so much new
- 35:49Speaker 8: stuff to look forward to. Me too, Link Kiffin obviously
- 35:53Speaker 8: Sam Lovett, well, I guess he won't be.
- 35:56Speaker 6: He'll be throwing in some drills. Yeah, like in team drill.
- 35:59Speaker 9: Oh, we'll hear about it.
- 36:00Speaker 5: I think seven h seven was like the thing he's
- 36:01Speaker 5: going to do. He's working out. Oh okay, I got
- 36:04Speaker 5: you see him in some of the hype video stuff
- 36:05Speaker 5: working out.
- 36:06Speaker 9: And I mean he could honestly throw. He's just not
- 36:08Speaker 9: gonna be out there during quote unquote team drills.
- 36:12Speaker 5: Tay, I know it's a big day for you because
- 36:14Speaker 5: your favorite addition through the transfer portal is really starting
- 36:17Speaker 5: to pick up some fans from outside the LSU program
- 36:21Speaker 5: and inside the building too. I've talked with some people
- 36:24Speaker 5: over there that this might be their favorite edition that
- 36:27Speaker 5: they made in the portal.
- 36:28Speaker 9: It's my favorite edition we made in the portal. And
- 36:30Speaker 9: obviously you're talking about Tidd Bennafield, the safety from Boise.
- 36:33Speaker 6: He stayed.
- 36:34Speaker 9: Look when they signed him, my paulp was, it may
- 36:37Speaker 9: not be the quote unquote biggest position of a need,
- 36:40Speaker 9: but you didn't really have a ton of depth behind
- 36:43Speaker 9: a Deshaun Spears and a to market Schooley when you
- 36:45Speaker 9: add a guy like Tide Bennifield. I mean Deshawnton Spears
- 36:49Speaker 9: is six three and he's pushing two twenty. Yeah, you
- 36:51Speaker 9: could push him down to Matt's favorite position at Star,
- 36:54Speaker 9: play him right at the line of scrimmage. Ty Bennifield.
- 36:57Speaker 9: He's a guy that had eight and a half tackles
- 36:59Speaker 9: for loss last year. He could play Star. You could
- 37:02Speaker 9: do so much more over your defense. And he had
- 37:04Speaker 9: one hundred and seven tackles last year, eight and a
- 37:07Speaker 9: half for a loss in two interceptions. The guy can
- 37:09Speaker 9: play all over the field. I mean, I think he's
- 37:11Speaker 9: one of the best players you signed in this class.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Yeah, people rave about him in the building almost like, yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 5: we knew what we were getting, but we didn't know.
- 37:19Speaker 7: It was going to be to this level. So that's exciting.
- 37:21Speaker 7: I think it's gonna be a really fun player to watch.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Obviously, with the deep of the back coaches that you
- 37:26Speaker 5: have there at safety and corner with Olsen, with Raymond,
- 37:30Speaker 5: we have seen Monsord de Lane what he was able
- 37:32Speaker 5: to do in his year here. AJ Hawston was already
- 37:35Speaker 5: a really good player, but just like Monsord de Lane,
- 37:38Speaker 5: who was a good player, they elevated their level of
- 37:40Speaker 5: play once they got here. And now monsword Lane is
- 37:43Speaker 5: going to be a top ten pick. AJ Hawston is
- 37:45Speaker 5: going to be a first two round pick. Tamarcus Cooley
- 37:49Speaker 5: love watching that guy play football. He didn't care that
- 37:53Speaker 5: he's not the biggest guy out there. He is always
- 37:55Speaker 5: going to try to go and make a play. DJ
- 37:58Speaker 5: Pigotts somebody that I'm excited to see with his sophomore season,
- 38:01Speaker 5: looks like and So it's a great landing spot. It
- 38:04Speaker 5: always has been, but they've brought it back for defensive backs.
- 38:07Speaker 5: It doesn't have to be out of high school now.
- 38:08Speaker 5: It can be a player that's always been a good
- 38:10Speaker 5: player can go from good or even sometimes great to elite.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Oh Blake Baker and a staff is elite at putting
- 38:18Speaker 2: guys in the right position, letting them play a position too.
- 38:21Speaker 2: That fits their skill set in a way that fits
- 38:24Speaker 2: their skill set. And so you just talked about it
- 38:28Speaker 2: how Monsore and Aj Hallise like, how they improved being
- 38:32Speaker 2: transfers in just the year, have improved their their skill set,
- 38:35Speaker 2: their draft stock, the way they played the game. It
- 38:38Speaker 2: dominated the game, and you will see that in a
- 38:41Speaker 2: couple of months in the NFL Draft, how well they
- 38:43Speaker 2: dominated in just one year, improved it.
- 38:46Speaker 6: I'm excited to see what they can do. I'm excited
- 38:48Speaker 6: to see what.
- 38:48Speaker 2: This whole transfer class, this whole portal class can do.
- 38:52Speaker 2: But certainly the guys on the defensive side of the ball.
- 38:55Speaker 2: So a lot of respect and a lot of that
- 38:58Speaker 2: credit goes to Blake Baker and his entire staff.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Yeah, and keeping Jay Golsen here from the Washington Commanders.
- 39:06Speaker 5: I thought it was a huge, huge win because that's
- 39:09Speaker 5: who coaches the safeties. That is the guy that coaches
- 39:13Speaker 5: you know, the AJ Halsey to Marcus Cooley last year,
- 39:16Speaker 5: and this is somebody that I think is going to
- 39:18Speaker 5: continue to elevate the play of those guys. And this
- 39:21Speaker 5: is just the next guy in line. Benfielled to somebody
- 39:25Speaker 5: that we saw Boise played a very high level. I
- 39:29Speaker 5: think there's more in there, and I think LSU's going
- 39:31Speaker 5: to get the most out of that player, and he
- 39:32Speaker 5: is going to be an sec household name by the
- 39:35Speaker 5: end of the year.
- 39:36Speaker 7: So looking forward to that coming up. Let's see checks the.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Watch like two weeks spring football in two weeks here
- 39:44Speaker 5: in bat Rouge and maybe the most anticipated spring practice
- 39:48Speaker 5: that I can remember. All right, we will step away
- 39:51Speaker 5: more OTB when we come back here live from the
- 39:54Speaker 5: Raising Gaines Studio.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Off the bench.
- 39:57Speaker 5: All right, Game day, weekend with friends, whatever the occasion is,
- 40:02Speaker 5: make it a do Seki's night. When you're looking for

- 40:19Speaker 5: the game, grilling out, or just kicking back after a
- 40:22Speaker 5: long day. Next time you're stocking the cooler, make sure
- 40:25Speaker 5: do Sekis is in the lineup and it's hitting leadoff
- 40:28Speaker 5: do Sekis.
- 40:29Speaker 7: Enjoy responsibly and always remember stay.
- 40:32Speaker 6: Thirsty, my friend, I'm not hitting lead off, eh.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and second and third hitting clean up whatever it
- 40:38Speaker 2: is and guess what he's got a little Uh, we
- 40:40Speaker 2: got a big party this weekend. Beat and Rouge says, well,
- 40:43Speaker 2: prayed rolling through, So you might want to decide. You
- 40:46Speaker 2: might decide yourself like, hey, I'm gonna get a cooler
- 40:48Speaker 2: full with adult beverages, some beer, and if you're gonna
- 40:51Speaker 2: do that, make sure it's with the best beer around state,
- 40:53Speaker 2: thirsty drink do seqis, do it responsibly. But if you're
- 40:56Speaker 2: gonna do it, make sure you're doing it with do skis.
- 41:27Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off the
- 41:29Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 42:00Speaker 5: Say, say, do we know if Phil she's going to
- 42:02Speaker 5: be a morning practice team again like they were, We do.
- 42:05Speaker 6: Not in the past.
- 42:06Speaker 9: That'll be I mean, that's that's a kipping thing. I
- 42:08Speaker 9: guess yeah. I mean what under Kelly they were they
- 42:10Speaker 9: were earlier, they were like eight thirty.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Yeah, we can never go. That's why I asked they
- 42:14Speaker 6: need to go back to the afternoon.
- 42:16Speaker 7: I still can't go. But if they went midday.
- 42:18Speaker 8: He just wanted all day to be able to flight chill.
- 42:21Speaker 8: So he was like, let's get the practice out in
- 42:23Speaker 8: the morning.
- 42:24Speaker 7: Bro, Those golf balls weren't going to hit them day afternoon.
- 42:27Speaker 8: He had to get out there on eighteen.
- 42:31Speaker 7: I'm going to make sure he was out there before
- 42:33Speaker 7: anybody else.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I mean a football team, the golf carts. A football grit,
- 42:38Speaker 2: mental toughness is formed in the afternoon.
- 42:40Speaker 8: Yeah, that's something when the sun's like beating down on you.
- 42:43Speaker 8: Hell ya.
- 42:44Speaker 7: We tried to tell Maffatt that all the time.
- 42:47Speaker 9: Tommy, Oh, he would give you all crap for going
- 42:49Speaker 9: in the afternoon.
- 42:49Speaker 7: It's like, hey, why.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Do I have Why do I have two captains on
- 42:52Speaker 5: the team in the afternoon because you offer the group.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Yea offer it if you want us here in the
- 42:57Speaker 6: morning early.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Berg is a worm?
- 43:00Speaker 2: No, doesn't worms all day, all day long, every single day.
- 43:04Speaker 6: There's worms everywhere.
- 43:05Speaker 8: To be fair, I guess it is. It does take
- 43:06Speaker 8: a little bit of grit also to convince yourself to
- 43:09Speaker 8: wake up early to go get your ass handed to you.
- 43:12Speaker 6: It does, but it's cooler.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Yeah, No, that's fair.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Yeah, it's choosing to be formed in the hottest part
- 43:20Speaker 5: of the day, forged.
- 43:20Speaker 9: In the fire, right.
- 43:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 43:22Speaker 8: No, I think there's grit to both sides, and this.
- 43:25Speaker 7: Is this is just I can't believe we didn't win
- 43:28Speaker 7: that Alvin Roy Award.
- 43:29Speaker 6: I can't believe.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Like, look, you get better workouts in the afternoon when
- 43:35Speaker 2: you're awake, when you're not awake in the morning, like
- 43:37Speaker 2: you can't lift as much weight. You can't, you got
- 43:40Speaker 2: sleep in your eye, like you're God, you're ready to
- 43:42Speaker 2: go in the afternoon.
- 43:44Speaker 8: I live just as much in the morning as I
- 43:46Speaker 8: do in the afternoon.
- 43:47Speaker 6: I mean, championships, we went practicing in the morning. None. None,
- 43:52Speaker 6: that's a good point zero that you're asked fired practicing
- 43:56Speaker 6: in the morning.
- 43:59Speaker 9: I mean Brian Kelly practiced in the morning, so in fairness.
- 44:02Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
- 44:03Speaker 8: Yeah, because he wanted to spend the rest of his
- 44:06Speaker 8: day golfing.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, how'd that work out for you? I don't even
- 44:11Speaker 2: like in the NFL, I don't even practice that early
- 44:13Speaker 2: like practice. My earliest practice ever was like ten thirty eleven.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no wet price before lunch, I said, meeting,
- 44:20Speaker 5: oh yeah, or walk through lunch film practice.
- 44:26Speaker 2: And not not to mention the practices that Brian Kelly
- 44:29Speaker 2: threw were charm.
- 44:30Speaker 5: And soft yeh oh my god, And they were like
- 44:32Speaker 5: ten minutes no mental toughness, no inside run.
- 44:36Speaker 7: Come on, man, come on bro no nine on seven, come.
- 44:39Speaker 6: On, but checks watch hour and a half in calling
- 44:44Speaker 6: it up.
- 44:46Speaker 7: We just got our kids settled over here with some popsicles.
- 44:50Speaker 7: Calling it up. Took us fifteen minutes to get him
- 44:53Speaker 7: over here.
- 44:55Speaker 6: I can't even watch anything.
- 44:56Speaker 7: I hope it's I would love for it to be
- 44:58Speaker 7: a little bit later so we could go.
- 45:00Speaker 6: But whatever.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I'm just excited that spring football is about to start.
- 45:03Speaker 5: I don't say that often because it's spring football, but
- 45:06Speaker 5: I am excited this year.
- 45:08Speaker 6: All right.
