- 1:48Speaker 7: n I V E R s I T Y dot com.
- 1:53Speaker 3: See it there.
- 1:54Speaker 8: My sister always has a savings account and I'd be like,
- 1:57Speaker 8: that was my personal line of credit. I'd be like, Angela,
- 1:59Speaker 8: I'm I'm about to miss payroll again and she'd be like, okay.
- 2:02Speaker 8: I'm like, I'll pay you back in three weeks. She's like, okay, again.
- 2:06Speaker 9: I make payroll. Then I got to make it back.
- 2:09Speaker 9: Then I got to pay her back, so now it's
- 2:11Speaker 9: still not getting paid.
- 2:12Speaker 8: This is what I'm talking about when I say you
- 2:14Speaker 8: have to be relentless, and you also like convincing your partner.
- 2:18Speaker 8: That's part of the journey and also too sometimes they're
- 2:21Speaker 8: not going to be convinced, so you just believe for
- 2:23Speaker 8: the both of you. I always talk to my partner,
- 2:25Speaker 8: letting him know what we're doing and how I'm trying
- 2:27Speaker 8: to make things happen, and I don't ask for permission.
- 2:30Speaker 9: I just go and do it.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Yes, this is it's giving.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Giving comfortability, it's giving luxuries giving.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, comfortable.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I love this.
- 2:48Speaker 4: So y'all you're having a good time. This is dope, man,
- 2:55Speaker 4: I didn't even hear it. Yes, I just heard a woo.
- 3:00Speaker 6: One time for Rachel for pointing this together. Man's get
- 3:02Speaker 6: around on the club. Yeah yeah, so we got invited
- 3:08Speaker 6: to come out here Puerto Rico was a no brainer,
- 3:10Speaker 6: and you know.
- 3:12Speaker 8: That was kind of my plan, that was my strategy.
- 3:15Speaker 9: Yes, easy.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Yes, we do events all the time, so I really
- 3:18Speaker 6: respect when I see events done it at a very
- 3:21Speaker 6: high level and that says a lot about the person
- 3:24Speaker 6: that's throwing the event. So thank you for having us,
- 3:28Speaker 6: and you guys should definitely be picking up all the
- 3:31Speaker 6: gyms that's dropped throughout this weekend, but more importantly networking
- 3:35Speaker 6: with each other because that to me is probably one
- 3:37Speaker 6: of the most valuable things about when you come in here.
- 3:39Speaker 6: You know, you come and you're with thousands of people
- 3:42Speaker 6: with like minded minds, and they're spending money to come
- 3:45Speaker 6: out here. So you never know who you might be
- 3:48Speaker 6: able to meet your next business partner, your next real
- 3:50Speaker 6: estate developer partner. You know, it's something that's extremely beneficial,
- 3:54Speaker 6: So don't take that for granted.
- 3:55Speaker 4: I urge you guys to network. That's very, very important.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I just want to touch on what I'm looking at
- 4:02Speaker 5: because we've been a lot of around a lot of communities,
- 4:05Speaker 5: but this is probably the best dressed community we've ever seen.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I mean, this must be a standard, like you have
- 4:13Speaker 5: to be sly to be.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Part of this commission.
- 4:17Speaker 8: It's natural.
- 4:21Speaker 3: It looks beautiful.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Yes, yes, so we're gonna have Rachie on the hot seat.
- 4:28Speaker 6: If you watch, uy L. You know, we asked the
- 4:31Speaker 6: tough questions and this will be no different. You know,
- 4:35Speaker 6: I'm sure you guys. I want to know the keys
- 4:38Speaker 6: to her success, how she got started, how she was
- 4:40Speaker 6: able to build the empire, what keeps her motivated, what
- 4:43Speaker 6: keeps her driven? And this is still gonna be a
- 4:47Speaker 6: really dope you know, conversation that's gonna cover all of
- 4:50Speaker 6: those different things.
- 4:51Speaker 4: So are you ready?
- 4:53Speaker 9: I'm ready. Let's do it.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 4:54Speaker 8: Yes, yes, I'm a little scared because y'all gonna be
- 4:58Speaker 8: having me telling all my business us perfect.
- 5:02Speaker 5: They wouldn't, they would expect nothing less.
- 5:06Speaker 4: So let me ask you this. I mean, we're here now.
- 5:08Speaker 6: People always see the success, right, So we're in Puerto
- 5:12Speaker 6: Rico and it's beautiful convention center. You've done tremendously well
- 5:16Speaker 6: for yourself. And but where did it start?
- 5:20Speaker 9: Like?
- 5:20Speaker 4: Where did it start from point A to getting here?
- 5:24Speaker 8: Yes, well it started with me scrapping in high school.
- 5:31Speaker 8: Like I used to have a lot of fights. I
- 5:33Speaker 8: don't know why, but the queen, Yes, shout out.
- 5:36Speaker 4: To queen.
- 5:41Speaker 9: Or listen, I'm feisty, and that's the thing.
- 5:45Speaker 8: I would be the quiet one, Like I'm quiet, I'm
- 5:48Speaker 8: not coming for you, but if you come for me,
- 5:50Speaker 8: were about to fight, And listen, I'm gonna give you
- 5:53Speaker 8: a run for your money. Like I may not be
- 5:55Speaker 8: able to say that. You know, I beat your ass,
- 5:58Speaker 8: but I'm goa give you a run for your money.
- 6:01Speaker 8: You ain't gonna want to come back. I'll tell you that.
- 6:03Speaker 9: Part. So that's where it started. Write that down.
- 6:12Speaker 8: But I think there's something to that, right, like even
- 6:14Speaker 8: just being a fighter. All of the challenges. I'm very
- 6:17Speaker 8: grateful for them now because I think it just it
- 6:20Speaker 8: helps you to be, like I.
- 6:22Speaker 9: Was talking about earlier, relentless.
- 6:24Speaker 8: You know, when you have, you know, issues with lights
- 6:28Speaker 8: going out, and you know, I would go to the
- 6:31Speaker 8: grocery store and have to pay with food stamps, and
- 6:34Speaker 8: I would be like hiding in the aisles waiting for
- 6:36Speaker 8: my friends and my neighbors to leave so that they
- 6:38Speaker 8: wouldn't see me, you know, because I had so much
- 6:40Speaker 8: shame around it, and you know, wait for them to leave,
- 6:45Speaker 8: be very strategic, and then sometimes you get caught and
- 6:47Speaker 8: I just leave and walk home from the grocery store
- 6:49Speaker 8: and cry.
- 6:50Speaker 9: You know what I mean, just being embarrassed.
- 6:52Speaker 8: I think all of that helped me to be very
- 6:55Speaker 8: focused and helped me to be relentless, like a dog
- 6:58Speaker 8: with the bone when I want to make something happen.
- 7:01Speaker 8: So I'm very grateful for all of those experiences. And
- 7:03Speaker 8: I'm also grateful because then I relate to a lot
- 7:05Speaker 8: of people too, because a lot of people have that story,
- 7:09Speaker 8: and everybody has a story of struggle of some kind,
- 7:12Speaker 8: and that story of struggle we think is a disadvantage,
- 7:14Speaker 8: it's actually an advantage because entrepreneurship is not easy. Building
- 7:19Speaker 8: wealth is not easy. Taking yourself from zero to a
- 7:22Speaker 8: lot more is not an easy journey. So if you've
- 7:26Speaker 8: had challenges already, great, you're equipped, you ready, you.
- 7:29Speaker 9: Have the right stuff in your in your toolbox to
- 7:34Speaker 9: get you through the challenges of the journey.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 5: So this mindset, and I wonder when I listen to
- 7:39Speaker 5: you speak sometimes I'm wondering that millionaire mindset. Is that
- 7:43Speaker 5: something that that you're naturally born with or is it
- 7:46Speaker 5: something that's developed. And I wondered because I remember, right,
- 7:50Speaker 5: it's one of these things. When I was younger, I
- 7:51Speaker 5: used to write the stories that I'd say, mom of
- 7:54Speaker 5: a bodeo a mansion one day, and she kept the
- 7:56Speaker 5: stories like, well, joy was my mansion?
- 8:00Speaker 9: Wait? I mentioned that time to pay the piper.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Right, So I wanted to I mean, obviously that was
- 8:06Speaker 5: in my mind at that time when I was a
- 8:07Speaker 5: young child. But I'm wondering, from your journey and being
- 8:10Speaker 5: around your community, is that something that you see that
- 8:12Speaker 5: is inherently a part of a person's characteristic or is
- 8:15Speaker 5: that something that's developed.
- 8:16Speaker 8: I think a millionaire mindset is developed, and I think
- 8:18Speaker 8: it keeps being developed, right, like even now. What has
- 8:22Speaker 8: made me so proud of this conference too, is that
- 8:25Speaker 8: the speakers are changing their flights and sticking around.
- 8:31Speaker 9: A lot of speakers dip in and out.
- 8:34Speaker 8: They're like, oh no, no, no, no, no, I'm staying here.
- 8:36Speaker 8: I'm a hangout right. That makes me so proud. And
- 8:40Speaker 8: the reason why I mentioned that is because even when
- 8:42Speaker 8: we're far, even when we have New York Times bestselling
- 8:44Speaker 8: books and we have eight figure businesses, there's still so
- 8:48Speaker 8: much to learn, right, There's still so much to accomplish
- 8:51Speaker 8: and to do, and you never stop learning. So I
- 8:54Speaker 8: think you're always working on that millionaire mindset. But I
- 8:57Speaker 8: also know that having to go to the grocery store
- 9:00Speaker 8: with food stamps and having the you know, con ned
- 9:03Speaker 8: come to my door and turn off the lights and
- 9:06Speaker 8: all of the stuff that came with that got me
- 9:09Speaker 8: very focused on money at a very early age. So
- 9:12Speaker 8: I was always curious, like, how are people making money?
- 9:15Speaker 8: And I tell the story in my book about how
- 9:18Speaker 8: I used to babysit for this little girl named Alana
- 9:21Speaker 8: It was a Jewish family. They were so sweet, and
- 9:24Speaker 8: it was in Douglaston and I grew up in Flushing.
- 9:26Speaker 8: Queen's right, Douglaston is a much nicer neighborhood. And I
- 9:30Speaker 8: would take the bus over there and it was like
- 9:32Speaker 8: tree lined streets and it was you know, big houses.
- 9:36Speaker 9: There was three of them.
- 9:37Speaker 8: It was you know, mom, dad, and Alana in this
- 9:40Speaker 8: giant house that had so many rooms.
- 9:42Speaker 9: I was like, what are you doing with all these rooms?
- 9:44Speaker 9: What is this room? It was a formal dining room
- 9:46Speaker 9: I had. I was like, what is that. I've never
- 9:48Speaker 9: seen a formal dining room before, you know what I mean.
- 9:50Speaker 8: And I would open their pantry to like make her
- 9:53Speaker 8: a snack and it was like so many options.
- 9:55Speaker 9: I was like, Wow, one day, I'm gonna be able
- 9:57Speaker 9: to get those frozen waffles that.
- 9:58Speaker 8: My mom always says no, always those little things, right,
- 10:01Speaker 8: Like what was it like you wanted.
- 10:03Speaker 9: Cocoa puffs and you couldn't get the coco puffs?
- 10:05Speaker 8: Your mom said no because I don't have the money.
- 10:07Speaker 8: It's like, but I would see that and her father
- 10:11Speaker 8: worked from home and the mom would be at work
- 10:14Speaker 8: and I'd be like, what do these people do for
- 10:15Speaker 8: a living, and I would ask, you know, I was
- 10:18Speaker 8: always trying to be a detective, like people who have money,
- 10:21Speaker 8: how did they get it? Because I just had no idea.
- 10:24Speaker 8: I couldn't fathom, like how do they have so much?
- 10:28Speaker 8: And so learning that like that's what I think got
- 10:31Speaker 8: me to focus on money is the fact that we
- 10:33Speaker 8: didn't have any right if we would have been very comfortable,
- 10:36Speaker 8: I don't think it would have been a priority to me.
- 10:38Speaker 5: You think that inquisitive nature helped shape your career path
- 10:41Speaker 5: because of no times in our communities we see a
- 10:44Speaker 5: few avenues of where we can make money, right usually
- 10:46Speaker 5: in art, so performing or entertainment. But the fact that
- 10:50Speaker 5: you were inquisitive and trying to find out how other
- 10:52Speaker 5: people were making money, did that help in the way
- 10:55Speaker 5: you were choosing the way you were going to go
- 10:56Speaker 5: with your career.
- 10:57Speaker 8: Yes, And honestly I didn't really know. I know that
- 11:00Speaker 8: as a kid, like I didn't know. I saw performers,
- 11:03Speaker 8: black performers, I saw black athletes, but really nobody from
- 11:07Speaker 8: my neighborhood was becoming an R and B singer or
- 11:11Speaker 8: a basketball player right like they might have had hopes
- 11:14Speaker 8: and dreams, but I wasn't actually seeing it happen in
- 11:16Speaker 8: my neighborhood. So to me, I was just like I
- 11:19Speaker 8: just want to know how like what job y'all got?
- 11:24Speaker 9: And I learned like what I had found is.
- 11:26Speaker 8: Like a lot of people were highly educated. So I
- 11:28Speaker 8: was like, okay, then I need to go to school.
- 11:30Speaker 8: Great works for me because I'm good at school, right,
- 11:33Speaker 8: Like I like to study, I like to learn, I
- 11:35Speaker 8: love to read, and so all of those things will
- 11:38Speaker 8: benefit me. Just where do I go to school? What
- 11:40Speaker 8: pathway do I need to take? Like, just break it
- 11:42Speaker 8: down for me, show me right, Like I just wanted.
- 11:44Speaker 8: I was so hungry to know, and I was gonna
- 11:47Speaker 8: be relentless until I figured it out.
- 11:50Speaker 4: So let me ask you this, what moment did you
- 11:52Speaker 4: realize you had something special?
- 11:56Speaker 9: Good question?
- 11:58Speaker 8: I think you know what was interesting is I started
- 12:00Speaker 8: with a law practice.
- 12:02Speaker 9: So I went to law school.
- 12:03Speaker 8: I graduated during the two thousand and eight recession, and
- 12:06Speaker 8: there were not a.
- 12:07Speaker 9: Lot of jobs available.
- 12:08Speaker 8: How low was I was actually studying like family law.
- 12:12Speaker 8: I actually went to a school that has specialty in
- 12:14Speaker 8: IP law. And I was like, nah, I'm not interested
- 12:17Speaker 8: in that. I was like, no, I'm going to do
- 12:20Speaker 8: family law because I wanted to help people.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Like family law. What does that mean, like you know
- 12:24Speaker 4: a city battles and stuff.
- 12:25Speaker 8: Well, yes, but also like I imagine doing something like
- 12:29Speaker 8: working for a nonprofit. And I remember I sat down
- 12:32Speaker 8: with my sister and she had like a neighbor. We
- 12:37Speaker 8: had lunch with her, and they both sat me down
- 12:38Speaker 8: and they were like, listen, you need to get this money. Okay,
- 12:42Speaker 8: you see these loans. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're not doing
- 12:46Speaker 8: the nonprofit thing. Maybe you could do that in the future,
- 12:48Speaker 8: but like, right now, you need to pay these loans
- 12:50Speaker 8: backsis right. So they had to have a talk with
- 12:53Speaker 8: me about that. But what was interesting, So I started
- 12:57Speaker 8: I want to start in my own law practice because
- 12:59Speaker 8: law firms are often very toxic spaces. And I had
- 13:03Speaker 8: intern at a few places, and I was like, this
- 13:05Speaker 8: ain't gonna last. Like I'm just not the type of
- 13:07Speaker 8: person that is obedient enough to work in a corporate
- 13:12Speaker 8: environment long term.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That's very well put.
- 13:16Speaker 5: I know some people like that.
- 13:20Speaker 9: So I was like, this ain't ever gonna work.
- 13:22Speaker 8: So like and here was my thinking, and I literally
- 13:25Speaker 8: said this to my husband. I was like, I'm already broke,
- 13:29Speaker 8: so if I'm already broke. It's better to not take
- 13:31Speaker 8: the law firm job where I'd make a lot of money.
- 13:34Speaker 9: It's better to stay broke.
- 13:35Speaker 8: Now start the entrepreneurial journey while I'm still broke. And
- 13:38Speaker 8: I'm like, I'm comfortable being broke, right, I've been broke,
- 13:41Speaker 8: so like, let.
- 13:41Speaker 9: Me just start now. If I'm gonna be broke, be
- 13:43Speaker 9: broke doing my.
- 13:44Speaker 8: Own thing instead of going somewhere getting comfortable, upgrading my
- 13:49Speaker 8: lifestyle and then trying to find a way out of it.
- 13:50Speaker 8: So that was kind of my strategy. So I started
- 13:53Speaker 8: my law practice and it was so interesting. Literally within
- 13:56Speaker 8: six months, I was getting a lot of press. Like
- 13:58Speaker 8: it was just like I was in a non you know,
- 14:01Speaker 8: like being a young lawyer right out of law school.
- 14:02Speaker 8: People don't just go solo out of law school. You're
- 14:05Speaker 8: supposed to pay your dues, work.
- 14:06Speaker 9: At a law firm, be trained by partner over a
- 14:09Speaker 9: long period of time.
- 14:10Speaker 8: Then you can go. So then you have permission. And
- 14:12Speaker 8: I just did it, and I did it with my
- 14:15Speaker 8: afro and not, you know, not wearing the suits. And
- 14:19Speaker 8: it was interesting. It like attracted so many people to
- 14:21Speaker 8: me because it was just different. People were looking for
- 14:24Speaker 8: a lawyer that looked like them, that they felt comfortable
- 14:26Speaker 8: talking to, that explained it to them, and plain English,
- 14:28Speaker 8: that didn't act like they were better than them.
- 14:30Speaker 9: And so I was like, Okay, I'm onto something here.
- 14:33Speaker 8: And that's I think that's when I first figured out
- 14:35Speaker 8: that like just being myself was enough, and actually the
- 14:39Speaker 8: more I was myself, the more.
- 14:41Speaker 9: It actually attracted people to me.
- 14:46Speaker 8: So you know, when I decided I was done practicing
- 14:49Speaker 8: law because I actually felt limited by it. I felt
- 14:51Speaker 8: very limited by practicing law. I wanted to help my
- 14:54Speaker 8: clients in more ways. And my business was growing faster
- 14:57Speaker 8: than some of my clients, my law practice clients, and they'd.
- 14:59Speaker 9: Be like, how are you getting all these guys? How
- 15:01Speaker 9: are you making this money? And I'm like, let me
- 15:02Speaker 9: tell you.
- 15:03Speaker 8: And then a friend, another friend pulled me aside shout
- 15:05Speaker 8: out to our friends who check us. She was like, listen,
- 15:08Speaker 8: you need to be charging for all that free business
- 15:10Speaker 8: advice you've given. They paying for contracts. Okay, they ain't
- 15:12Speaker 8: paying for all that business advice. And so I started
- 15:16Speaker 8: doing that and that's how I got into coaching. And
- 15:18Speaker 8: then I use that same thing to build Hollow seven.
- 15:21Speaker 8: I just built what I wanted to see and you know,
- 15:24Speaker 8: use my authentic self right as the brand.
- 15:27Speaker 9: Right, that is the brand you right, you, your vibe.
- 15:31Speaker 8: And I think we think we need to do something
- 15:33Speaker 8: extra or we need to be something else.
- 15:35Speaker 9: No, No, your uniqueness is actually what attracts people to you.
- 15:38Speaker 9: That's that's what makes the brand you know, interesting and lasting.
- 15:43Speaker 9: If you try to be somebody else, it's going to
- 15:45Speaker 9: be whack. Right.
- 15:46Speaker 8: If you be the best version of yourself. There's only
- 15:48Speaker 8: one of you, right, only I can do Rachel Rogers
- 15:51Speaker 8: right to the best of my ability. And so the
- 15:54Speaker 8: more I do that and the more I bring that
- 15:56Speaker 8: to what I do, the more people are attracted. So
- 15:59Speaker 8: to me, like the special sauce is literally you, your personality.
- 16:03Speaker 8: I think our actual personalities are the basis of our brands.
- 16:06Speaker 6: I want to just say something about that because that's
- 16:08Speaker 6: extremely important. Really get comfortable with yourself and embrace yourself
- 16:12Speaker 6: because a lot of times when people are looking for
- 16:14Speaker 6: marketing campaigns, they're trying to become something else, yes, and
- 16:18Speaker 6: they're looking to mimic somebody else's success. Exactly following with
- 16:22Speaker 6: that is that you're always going to be following somebody else.
- 16:25Speaker 9: Yes, and somebody else. Are we going to be doing
- 16:28Speaker 9: it better?
- 16:28Speaker 7: Right?
- 16:29Speaker 6: And it's never going to come off because I used
- 16:30Speaker 6: to be a financial advisor. Yes, so you know, starting
- 16:33Speaker 6: as a financial advisor, I was the only black person
- 16:37Speaker 6: in the whole entire office. And you know, you have
- 16:39Speaker 6: a New York accent, and I listen to rap music
- 16:41Speaker 6: and you kind of feel a little intimidated, yes, but
- 16:45Speaker 6: then you realize that there's a lot of people who
- 16:49Speaker 6: could relate to me, yes, that can't relate to the.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Other guys exactly that people, So what you want to
- 16:58Speaker 4: look at as a handicap is actually a superpower exactly right. Oh,
- 17:02Speaker 4: you really have to embrace that.
- 17:03Speaker 6: And that's what we have done on your leisure Like
- 17:05Speaker 6: you know, we kind of embrace who we are and
- 17:10Speaker 6: that has opened the door to millions of people worldwide
- 17:13Speaker 6: that was left.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Out of the conversation exactly right.
- 17:16Speaker 6: But if we were running from that and we try
- 17:18Speaker 6: to just fit in the mole of what CNBC will
- 17:21Speaker 6: look like, exactly, you would have never been able to
- 17:24Speaker 6: be as successful as we are now.
- 17:25Speaker 8: Exactly Like y'all have created a movement, right, and it
- 17:28Speaker 8: all starts with what do we want?
- 17:30Speaker 9: Because we are so like everybody.
- 17:32Speaker 8: Here is somebody who is from a historically systemically excluded community,
- 17:39Speaker 8: and so that is actually an advantage to us because
- 17:43Speaker 8: we are unrepresented in a lot of ways in so
- 17:45Speaker 8: many spaces, like in financial literacy, right, and so if
- 17:49Speaker 8: we just bring our sauce and how we do our
- 17:52Speaker 8: thing to that whatever that expertise is. This is why
- 17:55Speaker 8: you have an explosion with earn your leisure right.
- 17:58Speaker 4: And we've seen it.
- 17:58Speaker 5: I mean we've seen it obviously in him as an export.
- 18:01Speaker 5: But now what we're doing is having education and financial
- 18:05Speaker 5: literacy be the greatest export that we can have. Yes,
- 18:07Speaker 5: we'll go back for a second, and you touched on
- 18:14Speaker 5: it really briefly, but it's vitally imploriant because you said,
- 18:17Speaker 5: before you made that change from practicing law, you had
- 18:21Speaker 5: the conversation with your husband.
- 18:23Speaker 9: Yes, and he married the entrepreneurs in here.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Okay, right at home, But talk about that because I
- 18:33Speaker 5: mean those type of conversations not can't always be easy, right,
- 18:37Speaker 5: if your partner is not supportive, if they're not aligned
- 18:39Speaker 5: with the vision that you have, talk about that. How
- 18:42Speaker 5: did that go? And you know how supportive and how
- 18:45Speaker 5: aligned was it or did you have to do some convincing.
- 18:48Speaker 9: Yes. No, he was very supportive from day one.
- 18:53Speaker 8: And also he's an entrepreneur as well, so he was
- 18:57Speaker 8: He was like, Okay, you don't want to get a job. Cool,
- 19:01Speaker 8: you spent all this money on school. I literally funded
- 19:04Speaker 8: our lives while you were in school. I gotta give
- 19:10Speaker 8: up my rain drover. Okay, I'm gonna give up my
- 19:12Speaker 8: range drover. Now I'm driving a Nissan Ultima. I'm going backwards,
- 19:18Speaker 8: not forwards.
- 19:19Speaker 9: What is this? And this man loves cars?
- 19:24Speaker 4: Okay, just a flashback.
- 19:26Speaker 9: He just had a flashback.
- 19:27Speaker 8: Literally, he's gonna have nightmares tonight driving that Nissan Ultimate
- 19:31Speaker 8: away one hundred thousand miles on it.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Okay.
- 19:34Speaker 8: He was like, I'm pushing this okay because we got
- 19:36Speaker 8: a dream.
- 19:39Speaker 9: So he was supportive for a while.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yes, definitely, he had a dream bumper sticker.
- 19:47Speaker 9: That's right.
- 19:48Speaker 8: And let me tell you something this None of this
- 19:51Speaker 8: would be happening if it weren't for that man right there.
- 19:54Speaker 9: Okay.
- 19:55Speaker 8: So so so he was very supportive and he was like, okay,
- 20:01Speaker 8: let's do it. And also too, I think your partner
- 20:04Speaker 8: responds to your energy when you're showing up with I'm
- 20:08Speaker 8: taking this seriously, I'm making it happen. I understand that
- 20:11Speaker 8: we got bills to pay, right, and I'm not afraid
- 20:14Speaker 8: to go ask for the sale and be and follow
- 20:17Speaker 8: up with the client, be like, yes, you need to
- 20:18Speaker 8: pay this invoice. No, you cannot have an extension right
- 20:21Speaker 8: because he's he was staying home with our kids, because
- 20:24Speaker 8: I as soon as I started a business, literally six
- 20:27Speaker 8: months into it, I was pregnant with my daughter, and
- 20:29Speaker 8: then I got pregnant again immediately. I remember when I
- 20:32Speaker 8: announced that my son Jackson, I was pregnant with my son, and.
- 20:35Speaker 9: They were like, again, already, what did you doing?
- 20:39Speaker 8: You know, I'm like, not family planning, obviously, And so
- 20:46Speaker 8: we decided he was going to stay home with the
- 20:48Speaker 8: kids and that I would just keep building this business.
- 20:51Speaker 9: But after a while he was like, I'm not liking this.
- 20:55Speaker 8: I feel like I don't know what money's coming in.
- 20:57Speaker 8: I don't know when I'm going to be able to
- 20:59Speaker 8: pay these bills. I'm feeling very stressed.
- 21:01Speaker 9: You got all these employees.
- 21:03Speaker 8: They get paid first, we get paid last, and it's
- 21:05Speaker 8: not that much left over.
- 21:07Speaker 9: And so after a while he was like, yeah, no,
- 21:09Speaker 9: I'm not feeling this.
- 21:10Speaker 8: You might need to go get a job or something
- 21:11Speaker 8: like I was supported for a while, but you're gonna
- 21:14Speaker 8: have to turn it up a notch or or we
- 21:16Speaker 8: gotta figure something out, you know. And because the whole
- 21:18Speaker 8: time too, he'd be like, I'm going to get a job,
- 21:20Speaker 8: and I talk him out of it.
- 21:21Speaker 9: I'm like, no, no, no, I'm right there. I'm on
- 21:23Speaker 9: the cusp it's coming. How many times did I say
- 21:28Speaker 9: that to you?
- 21:29Speaker 8: And then it was like a year later, we still
- 21:31Speaker 8: on that cusp.
- 21:34Speaker 9: Where we gonna tip over because this is taking a minute, okay.
- 21:39Speaker 8: Seriously, So yes, he definitely had moments where he started
- 21:42Speaker 8: to have doubts. And here's the thing that I the
- 21:46Speaker 8: advice that I have for couples and for people in
- 21:49Speaker 8: relationships where they have a vision for something and sometimes
- 21:52Speaker 8: your partner doesn't see it. One, you need to be serious,
- 21:55Speaker 8: like take it seriously. They need to see you putting
- 21:58Speaker 8: in work, takeing it seriously, because that's what helps them
- 22:02Speaker 8: to trust and believe they don't have the same vision.
- 22:04Speaker 9: They can't see what you see.
- 22:06Speaker 8: They're betting on you, right, and your choices absolutely affect
- 22:09Speaker 8: every aspect of their life, including what car they get
- 22:12Speaker 8: to drive, right, And whether their bills are paid on time,
- 22:15Speaker 8: Like we had times where we paid the whole team
- 22:19Speaker 8: and then we'd have to go under the There was
- 22:21Speaker 8: a desk in our kitchen. We get the big five
- 22:24Speaker 8: gallon bottle that you put your coins in all the time.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Take that thing that to Coinstar at the grocery store,
- 22:30Speaker 8: turn it over, and that's how we bought groceries for
- 22:32Speaker 8: our family that week. Because we pay everybody and not ourselves. Okay,
- 22:36Speaker 8: and listen, shout out to this one. Because my sister
- 22:38Speaker 8: always has a savings account and I'd be like, that
- 22:41Speaker 8: was my personal line of credit. I'd be like, Angela,
- 22:45Speaker 8: I'm about to miss payroll again, and she'd be like okay.
- 22:48Speaker 9: I'm like, i'll pay you back in three weeks.
- 22:50Speaker 8: She's like okay again, and she would let me borrow money.
- 22:54Speaker 8: I make payroll, then I got to make it back,
- 22:57Speaker 8: then I got to pay her back.
- 22:58Speaker 9: So now it's still not getting paid. So the people
- 23:01Speaker 9: don't tell these stories.
- 23:03Speaker 8: This is what I'm talking about when I say you
- 23:05Speaker 8: have to be relentless, and you also like.
- 23:09Speaker 9: Convincing your partner.
- 23:10Speaker 8: That's part of the journey, and also too, sometimes they're
- 23:12Speaker 8: not going to be convinced. So you just believe for
- 23:14Speaker 8: the both of you. That's what you have to do.
- 23:16Speaker 8: Believe and take action for the both of you. Like
- 23:19Speaker 8: I always talk to my partner, I'm always, you know,
- 23:23Speaker 8: letting him know what we're doing and how I'm trying
- 23:25Speaker 8: to make things happen. And I don't ask for permission.
- 23:28Speaker 8: I just go and do it. I just believe for
- 23:32Speaker 8: both of us. Sometimes I see the vision and he don't,
- 23:35Speaker 8: and I gotta believe for the both of us. Sometimes
- 23:37Speaker 8: that's what you have to do when you're in a partnership.
- 23:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna try that when I get home, both of us.
- 23:56Speaker 4: When was a hello, seven can see? And how'd you
- 23:59Speaker 4: go from to launch?
- 24:00Speaker 6: A lot of people have good ideas, but the execution
- 24:02Speaker 6: is what's really important.
- 24:03Speaker 4: So yes, talk about that.
- 24:05Speaker 9: Yes, Okay.
- 24:07Speaker 8: So I was transitioning out of law practice and I
- 24:11Speaker 8: had hired a lot of coaches, right, I was hiring coaches.
- 24:14Speaker 8: You know, Yvonne was just one of the first, but
- 24:16Speaker 8: I had a lot of coaches along the journey because
- 24:19Speaker 8: I wanted to learn from people and I wanted to
- 24:20Speaker 8: go fast, and you know, I joined all these different
- 24:23Speaker 8: coaching communities and there'd be communities with people who are
- 24:26Speaker 8: making you know, one hundred million dollars right that I was,
- 24:30Speaker 8: you know, lucky to be in the door. But everybody
- 24:33Speaker 8: was a white guy, literally, and there was like two
- 24:36Speaker 8: black women in the room and both of us were biracial.
- 24:38Speaker 9: I was like, what is this? What is this? Okay?
- 24:42Speaker 8: No people of color and particularly no people of color
- 24:45Speaker 8: on stage ever, and then also too just making like
- 24:48Speaker 8: I got called a house and word at a Mastermind
- 24:51Speaker 8: event that I spend thousands of dollars to be at,
- 24:55Speaker 8: you know, getting sexually harassed at some of these events,
- 24:57Speaker 8: like the Borough culture is whack y'all, and so those
- 25:01Speaker 8: were the only spaces that I knew if everybody talked
- 25:04Speaker 8: to particularly women, right and you know, people of color entrepreneurs,
- 25:09Speaker 8: it's like, make your first six figures. And I'm like, y'all,
- 25:12Speaker 8: I done made six figures, and I've learned that it's
- 25:14Speaker 8: not that much, Okay, I gotta still pay a team,
- 25:18Speaker 8: I gotta pay bills, Like how am I gonna make
- 25:19Speaker 8: that happen? Six figures ain't enough? So I wanted to
- 25:22Speaker 8: know how do you make seven figures? And not a
- 25:23Speaker 8: lot of people were talking about it back then. Very
- 25:26Speaker 8: few people, and so.
- 25:27Speaker 9: I would go into these spaces and just I remember
- 25:29Speaker 9: my husband literally coaching me and being like, just just
- 25:31Speaker 9: go in there.
- 25:32Speaker 8: You're gonna get that information and you're gonna bring it
- 25:34Speaker 8: back to us, you know what I mean, Like just
- 25:38Speaker 8: take one.
- 25:38Speaker 9: For the team, you know what I mean. And that's
- 25:42Speaker 9: what I would do.
- 25:42Speaker 8: And I would go and I would ignore all of
- 25:45Speaker 8: the ridiculousness that was happening in those spaces, and I
- 25:48Speaker 8: would get up close and be like, this dude is
- 25:50Speaker 8: not smarter than me. Literally, I'm just like, he don't
- 25:55Speaker 8: have better ideas than me.
- 25:57Speaker 9: He's just better funded. He got a better network.
- 25:59Speaker 8: That's about it. And so I decided like, Okay, I'm
- 26:06Speaker 8: tired of being annoyed at all these places that I go.
- 26:08Speaker 8: I'm going to create it. So I decided to create
- 26:12Speaker 8: it myself, right, And so I'm like, what I want
- 26:14Speaker 8: to create is as a place for all of us,
- 26:18Speaker 8: the rest of us, all of the non white guys
- 26:20Speaker 8: right that want to build businesses and be successful. I
- 26:24Speaker 8: want to create a space where we can feel seen,
- 26:26Speaker 8: where being assist straight white guy is not centered as
- 26:31Speaker 8: the sun that we all revolve around that didn't exist
- 26:35Speaker 8: and I wanted to create that community.
- 26:36Speaker 9: So that was the.
- 26:37Speaker 8: Concept for Hello seven, and it was Hello seven because
- 26:40Speaker 8: I'm like, stop talking about six.
- 26:42Speaker 9: That's not enough. We need to have bigger dreams and
- 26:45Speaker 9: bigger goals.
- 26:46Speaker 8: Okay, So and soon I'm gonna just change the company
- 26:52Speaker 8: to Hello nine because that's what we really need to.
- 26:57Speaker 6: So once you so, once you, so, once you have that,
- 27:01Speaker 6: what's the actionable item, like to say, Okay, what's the
- 27:04Speaker 6: marketing plan to really get people to no belief and
- 27:08Speaker 6: buy into what you have created?
- 27:10Speaker 4: Yes?
- 27:11Speaker 8: Well, I literally sat down on a plane on a
- 27:13Speaker 8: way back, on the way back from one of these
- 27:15Speaker 8: events that is like, you know, it's hard to get into,
- 27:18Speaker 8: like people are grateful to be there, it's an opportunity,
- 27:21Speaker 8: but it was just like I'm tired of this, and
- 27:23Speaker 8: so on the plane, I'm literally writing in my notebook
- 27:26Speaker 8: the concept for Hello seven.
- 27:28Speaker 9: Who is the idol client for this?
- 27:29Speaker 8: And so I write down and this is literally what
- 27:31Speaker 8: I have my clients to What are the three different
- 27:34Speaker 8: types of ideal clients that I could serve with this brand?
- 27:37Speaker 8: And so I'm like, is it what kind of entrepreneurs?
- 27:39Speaker 8: Where do they have to be?
- 27:41Speaker 5: Right?
- 27:41Speaker 8: And so I'm I'm writing down who the ideal client is,
- 27:44Speaker 8: and then I'm writing down, Okay, so how are we
- 27:46Speaker 8: going to serve them? What's the program, what's the offer?
- 27:48Speaker 8: And so I'm writing down, Okay, here's what I think
- 27:51Speaker 8: the offer should be. And I'm literally just creating what
- 27:53Speaker 8: I want. I'm just like, what would I want if
- 27:55Speaker 8: I was in their position? Because I'm I'm I'm like
- 27:58Speaker 8: new to seven figures. I'm in my first seven figure year.
- 28:02Speaker 8: But for somebody who is at six figures or even less,
- 28:05Speaker 8: what are they looking for?
- 28:06Speaker 9: And I just erners, what's up?
- 28:09Speaker 5: You ever walk into a small business and everything just
- 28:11Speaker 5: works like the checkout is fast, the receipts are digital,

- 29:29Speaker 5: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.

- 29:58Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guadama charged with raping a child
- 30:02Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 30:06Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 30:10Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 30:14Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 30:18Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 30:27Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Have been arrested.
- 30:33Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 30:36Speaker 1: fined nearly one thousand dollars.
- 30:38Speaker 2: A day, imprisoned, and deported. You will never return.
- 30:42Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 30:45Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 30:58Speaker 8: Because rote it down and then for me, I'm a
- 31:01Speaker 8: quick start, so I'm like, let's launch. I don't want
- 31:04Speaker 8: to sit and think about it for a long time.
- 31:05Speaker 8: I don't want to plan for a long time. I
- 31:08Speaker 8: think that we disadvantage ourselves. Like for me, I'm like,
- 31:10Speaker 8: let me go right to the people and see if
- 31:12Speaker 8: they want this. And so I had like an audience
- 31:15Speaker 8: of legal clients and just other people that knew me
- 31:18Speaker 8: once I had started dabbling and coaching, and so I
- 31:21Speaker 8: just went to the couple hundred people who knew me
- 31:25Speaker 8: and I said, Okay, here's what I'm creating. Here's what
- 31:27Speaker 8: it is, here's the opportunity we're going to start on
- 31:29Speaker 8: this day.
- 31:30Speaker 9: You know you want to join me or not. Literally,
- 31:34Speaker 9: I just go directly to launch. I don't do a
- 31:36Speaker 9: whole let me do a whole marketing campaign.
- 31:39Speaker 8: Let me create all the funnels, let me line up advertising.
- 31:42Speaker 8: I got time for all that. Listen, I got access
- 31:45Speaker 8: to some people. If you know, if it was five people,
- 31:47Speaker 8: I go to those five people and be like, hey,
- 31:49Speaker 8: and that's what I do with my law practice. I
- 31:50Speaker 8: literally emailed every person that I knew and was like,
- 31:53Speaker 8: do you want this?
- 31:54Speaker 9: So I just go directly to the source. Sometimes we're like, well,
- 31:57Speaker 9: we need to get clients.
- 31:58Speaker 8: People already out there who know you just go directly
- 32:00Speaker 8: to them and ask them for the business.
- 32:02Speaker 9: So that's my strategy.
- 32:03Speaker 6: That reminds me when I first started as a financial advisor,
- 32:05Speaker 6: we had.
- 32:05Speaker 4: A project one hundred.
- 32:07Speaker 6: Yes, so you know, I'm like twenty four years old,
- 32:09Speaker 6: and who do you really know that you can sell
- 32:12Speaker 6: life insurance to?
- 32:13Speaker 4: And iras and yes.
- 32:15Speaker 6: So it's like they maybe put a list of one
- 32:18Speaker 6: hundred people that I know, anybody that else.
- 32:20Speaker 8: Yes, literally classmates, neighbors, everybody.
- 32:23Speaker 6: And then it's like just reach out to those people,
- 32:25Speaker 6: tell them what you're doing, Say you know, can we
- 32:28Speaker 6: have a conversation. So you might have like thirty people
- 32:31Speaker 6: that actually agree to the conversation. Yes, then you get
- 32:34Speaker 6: referrals yes, and then that did that and that I
- 32:38Speaker 6: was doing financial planning for twelve years.
- 32:39Speaker 4: So what you just described, that's like the project.
- 32:41Speaker 9: One hundred exactly.
- 32:42Speaker 6: People think that they don't know enough people or they
- 32:45Speaker 6: don't know the right people.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Yes, but if you know somebody that's enough.
- 32:49Speaker 8: Exactly, and you go to every one of them and
- 32:51Speaker 8: you ask them, will you hire me? And if you
- 32:54Speaker 8: don't have a need to hire me, will you tell
- 32:56Speaker 8: somebody who does need me and refer me? And you
- 32:59Speaker 8: just ask for them those two things, right, and then
- 33:02Speaker 8: just keep asking.
- 33:03Speaker 9: That's what I did. I made a list.
- 33:05Speaker 8: Exactly of one hundred people that I knew, and that's
- 33:08Speaker 8: how my law practice started. That's how I got my
- 33:10Speaker 8: first couple of clients, and then it just kept rolling
- 33:12Speaker 8: from there. And you know, you do got to get
- 33:14Speaker 8: more sophisticated over time, because over time you need more
- 33:17Speaker 8: clients or you have less time to write those emails
- 33:21Speaker 8: or whatever. But like, you want to do it at
- 33:23Speaker 8: scale at a certain point, but that is enough to
- 33:26Speaker 8: sustain even a seven figure business if you wanted to.
- 33:29Speaker 8: But I think people are afraid to put themselves out
- 33:31Speaker 8: there and ask for the sale.
- 33:32Speaker 9: It feels like a risk.
- 33:34Speaker 6: And I think that they have a fear that nobody's
- 33:38Speaker 6: going to take them serious.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Yes, because like if you're just.
- 33:41Speaker 6: Starting in any business and your best friend knows you
- 33:46Speaker 6: just started, like you just started last week, how are
- 33:50Speaker 6: you an expert? But I think I think I think
- 33:53Speaker 6: the problem comes up positioning yourself as an expert. Yes,
- 33:57Speaker 6: you could just say, well, I'm starting this company and
- 33:59Speaker 6: this is what I'm doing. Let me educate, and then
- 34:01Speaker 6: from there they may need the services, they may not,
- 34:04Speaker 6: but at the very least it's good practice exactly they
- 34:07Speaker 6: might be able to refer you to somebody else exactly.
- 34:10Speaker 5: That's kind of how our conversation went. Yeah, yeah, he
- 34:13Speaker 5: was starting his business. He said, do you need the service?
- 34:15Speaker 5: I said I don't think so he said, yes you do.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I said, sign me up.
- 34:19Speaker 8: Right, because you already have that trust, you already have
- 34:22Speaker 8: that relationship. So it's an easier yes than going to
- 34:24Speaker 8: somebody that you don't know. And here's the thing that
- 34:28Speaker 8: someone told me, a lawyer told me many years ago.
- 34:31Speaker 9: I literally was this guy's groupie. I read his book.
- 34:34Speaker 8: His book was on my nightstand and I read it repeatedly.
- 34:38Speaker 8: And then every place he would appear, I would go
- 34:40Speaker 8: travel to Atlantic City or wherever to hear him speak.
- 34:43Speaker 8: And one of the things he used to say. He
- 34:45Speaker 8: was a lawyer that taught lawyers how to start a
- 34:48Speaker 8: law practice. And one of the things he would say
- 34:51Speaker 8: is you are not experienced, but you are qualified. And
- 34:55Speaker 8: I think we need to remember that, like just because
- 34:59Speaker 8: my best friend no that I just got barred as
- 35:01Speaker 8: an attorney. I just got barred as an attorney.
- 35:04Speaker 9: Did you right? I can handle your legal needs? Can you?
- 35:08Speaker 5: No?
- 35:09Speaker 9: You cannot, right, And so I think we have to
- 35:11Speaker 9: take ourselves. Seriously.
- 35:12Speaker 8: First, people are responding to our energy. So what's the
- 35:15Speaker 8: energy that you're bringing when you're approaching these clients.
- 35:17Speaker 9: You can't be sheepish and be like, ooh, do you
- 35:19Speaker 9: like do you want to do me a favor and
- 35:20Speaker 9: become a client?
- 35:21Speaker 8: No, I'm presenting an opportunity. You want some of this?
- 35:24Speaker 8: You know, we need to put some stink on it.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Okay, I think what you spoke about, and this is
- 35:30Speaker 5: something that especially in the entrepreneurial world is taking in
- 35:33Speaker 5: perfect actions.
- 35:34Speaker 9: Yes, just doing it?
- 35:35Speaker 5: Yes, right. Like I used to say this the adage
- 35:38Speaker 5: that was like start where you are, use what you
- 35:40Speaker 5: have learn as you grow, exactly right. And I feel
- 35:43Speaker 5: like in your journey that's exactly what happened, and you're
- 35:46Speaker 5: learning as you grow. So can you talk to the
- 35:48Speaker 5: entrepreneur I mean, obviously there's plenty of entrepreneurs in here
- 35:51Speaker 5: about not worrying about it that the perfect timing or
- 35:54Speaker 5: having the right setting or having the right team together
- 35:58Speaker 5: at first, because you're going to grow. And the beauty
- 36:00Speaker 5: of it is that as you grow as a business
- 36:02Speaker 5: and you grow that community, they grow with you and
- 36:06Speaker 5: they appreciate it more because they've seen you where you
- 36:08Speaker 5: started to where you were send.
- 36:09Speaker 9: To exactly exactly.
- 36:11Speaker 8: There are people in here who are like remember her
- 36:13Speaker 8: virtual law office, who was it that came up to
- 36:15Speaker 8: me and said that yes, yes, yes, she was like,
- 36:20Speaker 8: I've been following you since then, and that's like what
- 36:22Speaker 8: twenty twelve, twenty thirteen.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Right at fourteen?
- 36:26Speaker 8: Yeah, So like there are people who have been following
- 36:29Speaker 8: you for the whole journey that when you when you
- 36:33Speaker 8: Pinky was saying yesterday, was like, you have to build
- 36:37Speaker 8: in public, right, show people that you're imperfect, Show people like, hey,
- 36:41Speaker 8: this is my new thing. I just came up with it,
- 36:45Speaker 8: I'm gonna try it. Do you want to be on
- 36:47Speaker 8: this journey with me? Here's what that could look like, right,
- 36:50Speaker 8: and just invite them in a lot of people want
- 36:52Speaker 8: that invitation. And I think we have to not get
- 36:54Speaker 8: caught up in the how, like we're like, here's what
- 36:57Speaker 8: my vision is, here's what I want to do, and
- 36:58Speaker 8: we get so hype and so excited about the vision,
- 37:01Speaker 8: and then immediately we get deflated because we're like, well,
- 37:03Speaker 8: how am I gonna do it right?
- 37:05Speaker 9: And the how it feels hard?
- 37:07Speaker 8: Right, and so we're like hmm, never mind, it's never
- 37:10Speaker 8: gonna happen. And so I say, forget about the how,
- 37:13Speaker 8: forget about it, just start talking about it, start presenting it.
- 37:17Speaker 8: Take the first step, invite people in to be a
- 37:19Speaker 8: part of it. That's all you have to do, and
- 37:21Speaker 8: then the how will.
- 37:22Speaker 9: Reveal itself over time. And yes, sometimes it can get challenges.
- 37:26Speaker 8: Sometimes you get yourself into situations that are messy. Here's
- 37:29Speaker 8: what I tell people, because I think people are always
- 37:30Speaker 8: afraid that they're not going to do a good job,
- 37:33Speaker 8: that they're not going to do right by people right,
- 37:35Speaker 8: and so they worry about their reputation. They worry about
- 37:38Speaker 8: like what if I can't deliver. Listen, you can always
- 37:40Speaker 8: process a refund. Literally, if you don't do a good job,
- 37:45Speaker 8: give them their money back then right or make it right.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Like I certainly have had times over the years where
- 37:51Speaker 8: something went awry on the journey and I'm like, I'm
- 37:54Speaker 8: going to acknowledge that that didn't go right, that did
- 37:56Speaker 8: not go how it was supposed to go. So here's
- 37:58Speaker 8: what we're going to do to make it right. And
- 38:00Speaker 8: when you do that with your customers, that builds trust
- 38:03Speaker 8: and then they trust you even more and become repeat customers.
- 38:07Speaker 8: So don't be afraid to just put yourself out there
- 38:09Speaker 8: and get started. You don't have to be perfect, right,
- 38:12Speaker 8: You have enough right now to create success.
- 38:16Speaker 6: So let me ask you this. Tell us something no
- 38:21Speaker 6: one knows. Tell us something not even your masterminds.
- 38:24Speaker 9: No, not even my masterminders know.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Said ooh, you didn't get my note.
- 38:33Speaker 8: Okay, all right, well I was not going to share
- 38:37Speaker 8: this publicly, but I guess I will.
- 38:40Speaker 9: Oh. No, my masterminders do know that.
- 38:44Speaker 8: I tell them that, but I did just tell them.
- 38:50Speaker 9: So I think this is some some tea that's kind
- 38:53Speaker 9: of exciting. We really love Puerto Rico, we love the culture,
- 38:57Speaker 9: we love the people, and we're about to move here.
- 39:05Speaker 9: So that's some tea.
- 39:10Speaker 8: Yeah, so we're about to make that move. And here's
- 39:14Speaker 8: the thing I want to say about that. Like we
- 39:16Speaker 8: have so we have a ranch in North Carolina, and
- 39:18Speaker 8: I have like told people that's part of the journey, right,
- 39:21Speaker 8: And that was my dream. And we had that dream
- 39:25Speaker 8: and it was fun and it was amazing and I
- 39:26Speaker 8: got to get to watch my little black children riding
- 39:28Speaker 8: horses on their ranch and it's been amazing, right, And
- 39:33Speaker 8: now we want to do something else, and that's what
- 39:37Speaker 8: I want for everybody to have options, you know, like
- 39:47Speaker 8: we did that. It was great, and now we're just
- 39:49Speaker 8: ready for something different right now. And we might go
- 39:52Speaker 8: back to it at some point, but right now we're
- 39:53Speaker 8: gonna try something else. And I just want us to
- 39:56Speaker 8: be like, oh, you know what I feel like doing this,
- 39:58Speaker 8: and just be able to move and when we have resources,
- 40:01Speaker 8: we can make those moves whenever we want.
- 40:04Speaker 5: It's financial freedom.
- 40:06Speaker 9: That's financial freedom.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Indeed.
- 40:10Speaker 5: So, like I said, this is a large community and
- 40:12Speaker 5: everybody's coming here, you know, with a certain set of skills.
- 40:15Speaker 4: But what's one of those skills that you think.
- 40:17Speaker 3: That everybody should have.
- 40:18Speaker 5: If this is their twol box of information, what's one
- 40:21Speaker 5: skill that they definitely should have and they can add.
- 40:23Speaker 4: To it right now?
- 40:24Speaker 8: Yes, I think everybody needs to learn how to write,
- 40:31Speaker 8: because I'm telling you now that we live y'all know,
- 40:33Speaker 8: we live in an age of content, content, content, content content, right,
- 40:37Speaker 8: and so I think writing skills are crucial because even
- 40:40Speaker 8: when you're doing video, being you know, thinking about what
- 40:43Speaker 8: you're going to say on video, having a plan for
- 40:46Speaker 8: how you're going to present, copywriting, writing Facebook ads, writing emails,
- 40:50Speaker 8: writing landing pages. Right there, is so much like my
- 40:54Speaker 8: I feel like I've told my team it's like we
- 40:57Speaker 8: are a copy factory. We are a content factory, is
- 41:00Speaker 8: what we are making every day in our business. And
- 41:02Speaker 8: so writing is I think incredibly valuable and I think
- 41:06Speaker 8: everybody should know how to do it. And almost everybody
- 41:09Speaker 8: on my team writes emails. They'd be like, wait, you
- 41:11Speaker 8: want me to write an email. I'm not a copywriter.
- 41:13Speaker 9: I'm like, yes, but we need these emails, so can
- 41:14Speaker 9: you help me out get these emails done?
- 41:18Speaker 8: And honestly, I learned how to write in law school.
- 41:20Speaker 8: In law school, and here's one of the writing tips
- 41:23Speaker 8: that I want to give y'all. First of all, first
- 41:25Speaker 8: things first, Right, the reason why my book is a
- 41:28Speaker 8: best selling book is because I'm talking in my book.
- 41:31Speaker 8: I'm writing in my book the same way I talk,
- 41:33Speaker 8: and that's what people find appealing. I'm giving them valuable information,
- 41:37Speaker 8: but I'm doing it the way that I talk in
- 41:39Speaker 8: real life.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Right.
- 41:40Speaker 8: That's called voice, and that's what people want. They don't
- 41:43Speaker 8: want to read boring corporate speak all the time. They
- 41:45Speaker 8: want to hear from you in your voice, using your slang,
- 41:49Speaker 8: using how you connect with people. So don't be afraid
- 41:52Speaker 8: to just write how you think, write how you speak.
- 41:55Speaker 9: It's so valuable.
- 41:56Speaker 8: And then one of the other things I like to
- 41:58Speaker 8: do is stop writing these laws. You know, those of
- 42:01Speaker 8: you who do those long social media posts where there're
- 42:03Speaker 8: seventeen paragraphs. We don't got time for that. We love you,
- 42:07Speaker 8: but can you summarize that? That was one of the
- 42:09Speaker 8: things that I learned in law school because when you
- 42:11Speaker 8: write a legal brief, you have to summarize. You have
- 42:14Speaker 8: a word count and you literally cannot submit it if
- 42:17Speaker 8: it is longer than that word count.
- 42:19Speaker 9: So literally, you.
- 42:20Speaker 8: Would write your legal brief. You have to present the facts,
- 42:23Speaker 8: your arguments. You have to present the law, all the
- 42:25Speaker 8: citations in the brief. Right, you write the whole brief,
- 42:28Speaker 8: and then what you do is you go through and
- 42:30Speaker 8: cross out every word that doesn't have to be there
- 42:33Speaker 8: to still get the point across. And that's how you
- 42:36Speaker 8: write something that is clear, concise, efficient and effective.
- 42:40Speaker 9: Okay, So that's a writing tip for y'all.
- 42:42Speaker 8: Use your voice and then cross out all the words
- 42:44Speaker 8: that you don't need and your writing will be so
- 42:46Speaker 8: much more effective. And just don't you don't have to
- 42:49Speaker 8: label yourself, Oh, I'm a writer. I'm a good at writing.
- 42:51Speaker 8: You're a person who communicates. You can write, you can write,
- 42:54Speaker 8: you can speak, trust that and do it more right
- 42:58Speaker 8: because we live in an age of content.
- 43:00Speaker 9: People need to know who you are and connect with you.
- 43:02Speaker 8: And if you don't write, and if you don't talk
- 43:04Speaker 8: to them, they're not going to know who you are,
- 43:05Speaker 8: they're not going to build trust with you, and then
- 43:07Speaker 8: they're not gonna buy your stuff.
- 43:08Speaker 6: Yeah, writing extremely important. It's something that like we do
- 43:12Speaker 6: even with like YouTube captions exactly, idols and thumbnails, it's
- 43:18Speaker 6: really an art to that, yes, and knowing like what
- 43:21Speaker 6: is going to be catching to the person and you're
- 43:24Speaker 6: just doing too much for words sometimes. So it's extremely
- 43:28Speaker 6: important and just headed into the new era of AI
- 43:31Speaker 6: with chat GBT, everybody should be aware of that. I'm
- 43:34Speaker 6: not sure your thoughts on that, but you know they
- 43:36Speaker 6: have artificial intelligence now where you could just put three
- 43:39Speaker 6: words in it and it comes up with a whole story. Right,
- 43:42Speaker 6: It's actually pretty mind blowing.
- 43:45Speaker 9: And then I think you should edit it.
- 43:49Speaker 8: Because I think there's a like what's going to happen
- 43:51Speaker 8: is what I worry about with something like that is
- 43:53Speaker 8: that the quality is going to go down right. I
- 43:55Speaker 8: think there's still a place in this world for our
- 43:58Speaker 8: individual voices, and there's a time and place for like
- 44:00Speaker 8: just bang it out and get it out the door.
- 44:02Speaker 9: Right.
- 44:02Speaker 8: Sometimes we need to make it happen faster, and so
- 44:05Speaker 8: having these tools allows us to do that. But it
- 44:07Speaker 8: doesn't take away the art from it. The art is
- 44:09Speaker 8: still very necessary. The art is part of how we connect.
- 44:12Speaker 8: So I think that that is an important piece of
- 44:14Speaker 8: it too.
- 44:15Speaker 4: Yeah for sure, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 6: I was gonna say, can you explain your most impactful
- 44:21Speaker 6: money moves?
- 44:22Speaker 8: My most impactful money moves, Well, apparently this event. Honestly,
- 44:33Speaker 8: I would say probably the most impactful money.
- 44:35Speaker 9: Move that I've ever had was because of the pandemic
- 44:39Speaker 9: I had.
- 44:40Speaker 8: The only way that people could work with me was
- 44:42Speaker 8: a mastermind in twenty twenty right up until March twenty twenty.
- 44:46Speaker 8: And then all my clients because their partners were losing
- 44:49Speaker 8: their jobs, their whole industries were obliterated if they were
- 44:52Speaker 8: in the event space or other spaces where it was
- 44:54Speaker 8: just gone overnight for quite some time. And so my
- 44:57Speaker 8: masterminders were all letting me know, like to be able
- 45:00Speaker 8: to pay you this month, right, uh?
- 45:02Speaker 9: And so I'm like, oh, what we gonna do?
- 45:04Speaker 4: Right?
- 45:04Speaker 8: We were like we were making you know, I don't know,
- 45:07Speaker 8: one hundred thousand dollars a month and now were making ten.
- 45:10Speaker 9: Thousand this month. Right.
- 45:12Speaker 8: We in trouble, right, And so you know I spent
- 45:15Speaker 8: time in the bathtub solbing about that.
- 45:18Speaker 9: You know, as one does you do that first, get
- 45:20Speaker 9: it out, send in.
- 45:24Speaker 8: I mean, Brittany probably still has those boxes. Brittany is
- 45:27Speaker 8: the president of my company. She probably still has those boxes.
- 45:31Speaker 8: And me sob it's not you know, talking to her.
- 45:34Speaker 9: But what did I do? I said, Okay, what do
- 45:37Speaker 9: I have? What do I have? What I have is
- 45:40Speaker 9: an amazing team, right. What I have is a community
- 45:44Speaker 9: of people.
- 45:46Speaker 8: I have the I have a podcast with a lot
- 45:48Speaker 8: of passionate people who listen to the podcast and.
- 45:51Speaker 9: Want to work with me. But they're not ready for
- 45:53Speaker 9: the Mastermind yet. They're not there yet.
- 45:55Speaker 8: And so I just went to them, like, I just
- 45:58Speaker 8: went on social media and I said, if I was
- 46:00Speaker 8: going to create something for you, like, what do you
- 46:02Speaker 8: need right now now that we're in March twenty twenty,
- 46:05Speaker 8: what is it that you need right now?
- 46:07Speaker 9: What could I do for you? How can I serve you?
- 46:08Speaker 9: How can I help you? And their response was literally everything.
- 46:13Speaker 8: We want to learn branding, we want to know offers,
- 46:15Speaker 8: we want to know how to hire, we want to
- 46:16Speaker 8: know how to build systems. And so I was like, okay,
- 46:18Speaker 8: so y'all want me to do everything for nothing? How
- 46:21Speaker 8: am I going to do that?
- 46:22Speaker 9: Right?
- 46:22Speaker 8: And so I had to go sit down and say, Okay,
- 46:24Speaker 8: you know what, a mastermind and a membership are basically
- 46:28Speaker 8: the same offer. It's just the mastermind has less people
- 46:32Speaker 8: in it, and so it's a little bit more exclusive.
- 46:35Speaker 8: There's more, they get more time with you, right, but
- 46:38Speaker 8: it's relatively the same thing. There's a member site, there
- 46:41Speaker 8: are lessons, there's information, there's a community, right, And.
- 46:44Speaker 9: It's about the size of it that's really the difference.
- 46:46Speaker 8: So I was like, okay, let's take this member site
- 46:49Speaker 8: that we already had for our Mastermind.
- 46:51Speaker 9: We're going to take something. We're not given everything.
- 46:52Speaker 8: We'll take some things out, but we could give that
- 46:55Speaker 8: member site plus a community, plus some live coaching calls.
- 47:01Speaker 9: And that's the offer.
- 47:02Speaker 8: And so we just came up with the club literally
- 47:05Speaker 8: overnight and just started launching it, started talking to people
- 47:10Speaker 8: and said we're going to start on May first, and
- 47:12Speaker 8: in the beginning of April, we did what we call
- 47:14Speaker 8: a pony post, which is now infamous in my community,
- 47:18Speaker 8: and we just said, hey, this is what we're thinking.
- 47:21Speaker 8: You know, would you like to join us? And if
- 47:23Speaker 8: you want, you know, if you want your kids riding
- 47:25Speaker 8: ponies in the future, right just put pony in the
- 47:27Speaker 8: in the comments if you feel this offer is for you.
- 47:31Speaker 8: We had three hundred people say yes immediately, and we
- 47:35Speaker 8: launched the club on May first, twenty twenty, with three
- 47:38Speaker 8: hundred people, and then literally a month later, I was
- 47:43Speaker 8: very irate after what happened with George Floyd, and I
- 47:46Speaker 8: expressed my rage online in a video really to other
- 47:51Speaker 8: entrepreneurs because I felt like they were not acknowledging the
- 47:54Speaker 8: what was happening. And that video went viral and then
- 47:59Speaker 8: all of these people were like, oh, you do this,
- 48:02Speaker 8: I want to join too. So we wound up having
- 48:03Speaker 8: another nine hundred join within a month, so we had
- 48:07Speaker 8: twelve hundred people in the club by June twenty twenty.
- 48:10Speaker 8: We had started at May first. And so I think
- 48:14Speaker 8: that money move, the money move there is talk to
- 48:16Speaker 8: your people literally, that's it. Talk to your people, find
- 48:20Speaker 8: out what do they need, have empathy for your people.
- 48:22Speaker 8: And that's what writing is too. Right, It's like, I
- 48:25Speaker 8: have empathy for you. I'm thinking about what you're experiencing.
- 48:28Speaker 8: I'm thinking about you know, where you're at right now,
- 48:30Speaker 8: what you need to hear and what you need to experience,
- 48:33Speaker 8: and I'm creating that for you.
- 48:35Speaker 9: I'm writing for you. I'm creating offers for you.
- 48:37Speaker 8: And so I think if you have compassion for your client,
- 48:40Speaker 8: then you can create things that constantly serve them and
- 48:43Speaker 8: they're gonna say yes because you're tuned into what they're
- 48:46Speaker 8: actually asking for.
- 48:48Speaker 9: That's the money.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Move Hello seven, it's gonna be Hello nine. We know
- 48:54Speaker 5: that's so a lot of times. You know, in order
- 48:58Speaker 5: for us to get to success times we're the biggest
- 49:01Speaker 5: hurdle we get in our on way always. And I
- 49:04Speaker 5: heard you say something super profound. Uh, it was in
- 49:07Speaker 5: order to be an entrepreneur, you have to risk your ego.
- 49:11Speaker 5: Oh one, can you expand upon that?
- 49:14Speaker 8: Well, it's just like you know earlier when I was like,
- 49:17Speaker 8: if you want to join us, stand it is one
- 49:19Speaker 8: hundred percent possible, that everybody was like nah son, Nope,
- 49:26Speaker 8: And that's risking your ego, right, that's you know, putting
- 49:30Speaker 8: yourself out there when you make that first offer, when
- 49:32Speaker 8: you send that you know those first one hundred people
- 49:35Speaker 8: and you pitch them and say, hey, some of your
- 49:37Speaker 8: referral or become my client.
- 49:40Speaker 9: Right, that's risking your ego.
- 49:42Speaker 8: You have to be willing to get rejected because entrepreneurship
- 49:46Speaker 8: is full of rejection for everybody.
- 49:48Speaker 9: I still get rejected.
- 49:49Speaker 8: Y'all rejected me when I first told y'all about this event,
- 49:52Speaker 8: and y'all intuy your tickets. Okay, I'm still salty now,
- 49:58Speaker 8: I'll just kidding. I'm but literally, rejection is part of
- 50:02Speaker 8: the journey and you got to get very, very comfortable
- 50:04Speaker 8: with it. And if you think that you're going to
- 50:06Speaker 8: get through entrepreneurship without ever being rejected, but anybody saying no,
- 50:10Speaker 8: I'm not interested, right, you need to get comfortable being
- 50:13Speaker 8: the salesman. The best experience you can have is be
- 50:16Speaker 8: a salesperson that gets the door slammed in your face constantly.
- 50:19Speaker 8: And honestly, that happened to me. At the end of
- 50:22Speaker 8: law school. I was applying for a clerkship with a judge.
- 50:24Speaker 8: This is a very exclusive thing. There's very limited number
- 50:28Speaker 8: of judges and they have a limited number of clerkship
- 50:31Speaker 8: opportunities and they give it to the best students. All
- 50:34Speaker 8: the best students with the best grades want these jobs, right,
- 50:36Speaker 8: so they're not easy to get. So the strategy is
- 50:39Speaker 8: you just applied to as many judges as humanly possible,
- 50:42Speaker 8: which is a lot of work, okay, And so I
- 50:44Speaker 8: applied to at the end of law school, I probably
- 50:47Speaker 8: applied to fifty to one hundred law firms, and then
- 50:50Speaker 8: I applied to another fifty judges. And literally, remember this, babe,
- 50:56Speaker 8: there was a time when, like leading up to graduating
- 50:59Speaker 8: from law.
- 51:00Speaker 9: School, where literally every day two to three rejection letters
- 51:04Speaker 9: would arrive every day. So every day I'm oh, I'm like,
- 51:09Speaker 9: is this gonna be the one? Nope, not interested? Okay,
- 51:12Speaker 9: sometimes it had to know. I enjoyed meeting you, you
- 51:14Speaker 9: know what I mean, but still no, I'm not gonna
- 51:17Speaker 9: give you a job.
- 51:18Speaker 8: And so like, I think opening those letters day after
- 51:21Speaker 8: day after day with hope and getting told no was
- 51:26Speaker 8: the best thing that could have ever happened to me,
- 51:28Speaker 8: because then it was just like, Okay, getting rejection, I
- 51:30Speaker 8: ain't dead, right, I'm still here. There's still other opportunities
- 51:34Speaker 8: outside of this, And so you can get comfortable with
- 51:37Speaker 8: rejection and not make it so legendary in your mind,
- 51:40Speaker 8: and not make it mean that you're not good enough, right,
- 51:43Speaker 8: that you're not successful enough, that you're never gonna win.
- 51:46Speaker 8: That is, you create a whole story around this. There's
- 51:49Speaker 8: one person said no, okay, next right, but we create
- 51:52Speaker 8: a whole story about how, oh, I'm never gonna be
- 51:54Speaker 8: successful because there's one person told me no.
- 51:57Speaker 9: Let it go, right, and forget.
- 51:59Speaker 8: About the ego, right, just let that die and and
- 52:03Speaker 8: stay focused on who you're trying to serve, and be
- 52:05Speaker 8: okay with somebody telling you no, and just keep getting
- 52:07Speaker 8: up and going to the next person.
- 52:09Speaker 9: And that's how you win.
- 52:10Speaker 8: And when you have that level of relentlessness, you're you
- 52:13Speaker 8: know you're gonna I used to say, like, I know
- 52:15Speaker 8: I'm gonna be successful. It's just a matter of time.
- 52:17Speaker 8: It's just about when is it gonna happen. I don't
- 52:19Speaker 8: know when, but I'm not gonna quit until it does.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:25Speaker 6: I think it's extremely important for all entrepreneurs at some
- 52:29Speaker 6: point to work sales because even what you describe that's
- 52:34Speaker 6: that's actually a nice way of getting rejected.
- 52:38Speaker 9: With a letter, a nicely written letter.
- 52:40Speaker 6: Like, if you ever had to call somebody and you
- 52:44Speaker 6: have the debate in your brain whether it's a good idea,
- 52:47Speaker 6: actually make the phone call and you're so nervous and
- 52:50Speaker 6: then they call you and then they like cursing you
- 52:52Speaker 6: out on the phone. You know that's that's that's Or
- 52:56Speaker 6: if you have to walk into a store and just say, hey,
- 53:00Speaker 6: can I meet the owner? Yes, I want to talk
- 53:02Speaker 6: to the owner, Like, it takes a different level of confidence.
- 53:06Speaker 8: Exactly, and you're risking And honestly, I would challenge that.
- 53:09Speaker 8: I don't even think it takes confidence. I think it
- 53:11Speaker 8: takes courage. I think confidence comes from experience, and when
- 53:15Speaker 8: you don't have experience, you don't.
- 53:18Speaker 9: Have that to fall back on.
- 53:19Speaker 8: But what you do have is courage, right, So it's
- 53:22Speaker 8: just mustering up the courage to stand there and be like,
- 53:24Speaker 8: I'm going to ask for this sale, I'm gonna send
- 53:27Speaker 8: this email, I'm gonna make this phone call, I'm gonna
- 53:29Speaker 8: walk into the store and pitch yourself regardless. I think
- 53:32Speaker 8: that's what it takes. If you have that courage, then
- 53:36Speaker 8: a lot of good things can come from that. But
- 53:37Speaker 8: I agree with you, that's risking your ego, right, especially
- 53:40Speaker 8: when you're physically there and someone's literally flamming the door
- 53:43Speaker 8: in your face or telling you to get out of
- 53:45Speaker 8: this store like that don't feel good.
- 53:47Speaker 9: It doesn't that don't feel good.
- 53:52Speaker 8: And then you're like, you got to get the courage
- 53:54Speaker 8: because now you have the experience to know you are
- 53:56Speaker 8: highly likely to get rejected, but you got to muster
- 53:59Speaker 8: up the courage to go do it again.
- 54:00Speaker 6: And then but also you have to look at it
- 54:02Speaker 6: like what's the alternative? Like, so for me, it was
- 54:05Speaker 6: like the alternative is work a regular job?
- 54:09Speaker 4: Yes, and that's not going to happen.
- 54:10Speaker 8: Yes, so I guess I better get out here and
- 54:13Speaker 8: get rejected.
- 54:15Speaker 9: Exactly right.
- 54:16Speaker 4: You'd be surprised what you're able to accomplish when failure
- 54:19Speaker 4: isn't an option.
- 54:19Speaker 9: Yes, absolutely right.
- 54:22Speaker 6: I think a lot of people they have a fallback plan,
- 54:27Speaker 6: a failure. Yes, and it's like if it doesn't work out,
- 54:30Speaker 6: I could just do this, and when you really truly
- 54:33Speaker 6: believe like there's nothing else I'm going to do, yes,
- 54:36Speaker 6: and I'm going to like be homeless if I don't
- 54:38Speaker 6: do this, you be surprised what.
- 54:39Speaker 4: You're being able to do?
- 54:40Speaker 9: Yes, what you could muster up exactly That's why sometimes
- 54:44Speaker 9: when entrepreneurs are like, oh I have I have you know,
- 54:47Speaker 9: money to I don't have no money to invest, and
- 54:49Speaker 9: I'm in the beginning of my business, I'm like, good, okay,
- 54:52Speaker 9: you don't know what to do that money anyway yet
- 54:55Speaker 9: gets scrappy. Okay, you're about to waste it anyway.
- 54:59Speaker 6: What's one thing you want everybody to take away from
- 55:01Speaker 6: this whole experience being here?
- 55:05Speaker 9: What I want them to take away is that you
- 55:07Speaker 9: are worthy. Period.
- 55:10Speaker 8: That's why we have, you know, beautiful couches, That's why
- 55:15Speaker 8: we have this beautiful space.
- 55:17Speaker 9: That's why you know.
- 55:19Speaker 8: We pay attention to all of the details because it
- 55:22Speaker 8: helps to let you know that you are worthy, right,
- 55:26Speaker 8: and you are deserving of abundance. And so sometimes the
- 55:30Speaker 8: environment can be the coach, right, the environment can be
- 55:33Speaker 8: the coach that helps you to see, oh, I can
- 55:35Speaker 8: have this.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 55:36Speaker 9: It was me going on my first retreat to Italy
- 55:38Speaker 9: with Susan.
- 55:39Speaker 8: Hyatt, right, and this little white girl from Indiana. I'm like,
- 55:43Speaker 8: how I wind up with this woman? Now, she's one
- 55:47Speaker 8: of my closest friends. But I went and you know,
- 55:50Speaker 8: I was in this beautiful space with this beautiful view,
- 55:53Speaker 8: and I was like, Wow, this is available to me.
- 55:56Speaker 8: And I think when you get in spaces like that,
- 55:58Speaker 8: you're like, oh, this is accessible to me. I put
- 56:01Speaker 8: myself here, So where else can I put myself? And
- 56:04Speaker 8: that's what I want people to know. We are all worthy.
- 56:07Speaker 8: We need to surround ourselves with abundance.
- 56:10Speaker 9: Pay attention to the environments that we allow ourselves to
- 56:12Speaker 9: be in, pay attention to the content we allow ourselves
- 56:15Speaker 9: to absorb.
- 56:16Speaker 8: And just treat ourselves as worthy. Value this brain, right
- 56:20Speaker 8: that you have created. Right, Value this asset that you
- 56:24Speaker 8: are right. Y'all talk about assets overliabilities. This is an asset.
- 56:28Speaker 8: You are an asset, So treat yourself as such. Manage
- 56:31Speaker 8: your asset well so that you can have all the
- 56:34Speaker 8: success that you want.
- 56:36Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 56:37Speaker 8: Yeah, Lee.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Really quick before we walked out, you said something very important.
- 56:42Speaker 5: I want them to know. I want you an audience
- 56:44Speaker 5: to know. I said, how are you feeling? You said,
- 56:46Speaker 5: I'm feeling so full Because this moment isn't about me,
- 56:50Speaker 5: It's about them.
- 56:52Speaker 9: This is their community.
- 56:53Speaker 5: Yes, I want to let you know that. Like we
- 56:56Speaker 5: said when we came out, this is a vibrant community.
- 56:59Speaker 5: This is a beautiful communit but it is being led
- 57:01Speaker 5: by an amazing person.
- 57:02Speaker 4: So clap it up for yourself to being here. Thank
- 57:05Speaker 4: you for bringing us here. This is a bit amazing.
- 57:07Speaker 9: Thank you. Thank you for being here, both of you.
- 57:09Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 57:11Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 57:14Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 57:18Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 57:23Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 57:27Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 57:30Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 57:32Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 57:40Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Have been arrested.
- 57:45Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 57:49Speaker 1: fine nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Deported, you will never return.
- 57:55Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 57:58Speaker 1: leave now, you could be alive to return legally.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Will be protected.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of homeland security,
