Latest / Earn Your Leisure / Advance Placement: DIDDY SAYS THE BLACK BILLIONAIRE LIST IS "AN ILLUSION OF INCLUSION"
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: As far as I believe, there's like thirteen black billionaires
- 0:03Speaker 1: in America, you're one of them. It's almost an impossible
- 0:07Speaker 1: a feat to accomplish.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Wait, hold on, wait, there's no claps for that.
- 0:16Speaker 3: That should be standing to your faith. It's a black billionaire, Kennedy,
- 0:26Speaker 3: that's crazy. You know where he's from.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Yo.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah, we can never we can never normalize being a
- 0:39Speaker 1: billionaire everyday thing.
- 0:40Speaker 5: Man.
- 0:41Speaker 4: By the way, we know almost all of them. Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Also true, that's fall. We'll have another one tomorrow.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Vanessa's only Yeah, I want to I want to be
- 0:53Speaker 1: careful with that.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Y'all.
- 0:54Speaker 6: When they talk about us having money and y'all look
- 0:58Speaker 6: at us, it's it's truly an illusion of inclusion.
- 1:02Speaker 4: We'll talk.
- 1:03Speaker 6: I can't play a part of the illusion of inclusion.
- 1:06Speaker 6: So you're looking hair at me like I'm totally included. No,
- 1:12Speaker 6: I'm fighting for the same thing I was fighting for
- 1:15Speaker 6: when I got into the game.
- 1:17Speaker 4: But it's at another level. And so and so it's
- 1:23Speaker 4: very important to understand. This is the truth.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Out of all the billionaires in the world, the world
- 1:30Speaker 6: got almost nine billion people in it, there's only sixteen
- 1:34Speaker 6: black billionaires. So that's the illusion. So every time. You know, yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 6: it feels good for one of us to get in,
- 1:42Speaker 6: two to get in, But we gotta stop taking the crumbs.
- 1:45Speaker 4: It's time for way more of us out of a.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Nine billion, I want two billion to be billionaires.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I don't want nothing less for myself or my people.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's why I was gonna ask you, as far as
- 1:57Speaker 1: being such in red space, does who do you talk to? Like?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I know, obviously is you and Jay a few other people,
- 2:04Speaker 1: But what very few people can relate to the challenges,
- 2:09Speaker 1: to the struggles, to the financial different coals, these different
- 2:13Speaker 1: things in that nature that happened at that level. Somebody
- 2:16Speaker 1: said something that was very interesting to us.
- 2:18Speaker 4: One time.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We were talking about a person that's extremely successful and
- 2:21Speaker 1: his former friend, and they like, well, you never think
- 2:26Speaker 1: about the winner's perspectives. Everybody always sympathizes with the loser,
- 2:31Speaker 1: But what about the winner? What about things that he
- 2:33Speaker 1: has to go through? The trauma that he has? So
- 2:36Speaker 1: what is that for you? Knowing that you're one of
- 2:39Speaker 1: twelve people in America? Like who do you talk to?
- 2:42Speaker 1: How's that social circle? How is it being in that environment?
- 2:46Speaker 1: What are some of the challenges, Like how does that
- 2:48Speaker 1: actually look for you.
- 2:51Speaker 6: I mean, it's definitely lonely. It's not a lot of
- 2:53Speaker 6: people to talk to. I mean I talked to Jay
- 2:55Speaker 6: or some other friends, but is I mean, when I
- 3:02Speaker 6: look at it, I just know the truth that it's
- 3:05Speaker 6: not enough wealth being spread around, you know. And so
- 3:09Speaker 6: I'm at this point and that's what energizes me. I
- 3:13Speaker 6: don't really look at it, you know, as far as like, Okay,
- 3:16Speaker 6: I'm a billionaire. I'm more like, you know, my people
- 3:19Speaker 6: are not doing good. Yes, I I'm blessed to be
- 3:22Speaker 6: a billionaire, but at the same time, you know, if
- 3:25Speaker 6: my people aren't doing good, then I can't be settled.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Because we met, We saw to Nas and he was saying, like,
- 3:31Speaker 1: you know, he's been doing a lot of venture capital
- 3:33Speaker 1: investing and he's been killing it. And I'm paraphrasing, but
- 3:36Speaker 1: he was like, the higher up he moves, the more
- 3:38Speaker 1: discouraged he gets. Yeah, because he's into different circles now
- 3:43Speaker 1: and he's aware of information and he's realizing that how
- 3:45Speaker 1: much money is out there and how little money we
- 3:48Speaker 1: have where he didn't really fully understand that before. So
- 3:51Speaker 1: it's an interesting paradigm, right, the higher up you move,
- 3:55Speaker 1: the more discourage you get because you're seeing it from
- 3:57Speaker 1: a different pursuit, Like you're seeing it from the mountain
- 4:00Speaker 1: as opposed to seeing it from the street.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 6: Yeah, So just sitting here, this is thirty years of
- 4:07Speaker 6: experience of seeing that things at a level that you know,
- 4:10Speaker 6: most people haven't seen it at.
- 4:12Speaker 4: And so it's important that I tell people the truth.
- 4:15Speaker 6: That's why I say, like the time is now, no
- 4:18Speaker 6: one is coming to save us, because I'm at that
- 4:20Speaker 6: mountain and I'm seeing the oppression that's still at that level,
- 4:25Speaker 6: and because they put us in the media like we're
- 4:27Speaker 6: doing so good, y'all don't feel that that level of
- 4:34Speaker 6: the stoppage of creating wealth. So when it gets when
- 4:38Speaker 6: it gets up to that point and we talk about
- 4:40Speaker 6: generational wealth, we're fighting just to get like normal wealth.
- 4:45Speaker 6: But we're so so caught up in like okay, a
- 4:48Speaker 6: billionaire or this or that, that we're not understanding that
- 4:51Speaker 6: once you get to that level, there's even more there's even.
- 4:55Speaker 4: More obstacles that are ahead of you.
- 5:00Speaker 6: How to say my experience in that is I want
- 5:03Speaker 6: to tell you about this story about me running a marathon.

- 6:59Speaker 7: Member a FDIC, an illegal alien from Guatemala charged with
- 7:05Speaker 7: raping a child in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member
- 7:09Speaker 7: from Al Salvador accused of murdering a Texas man of
- 7:12Speaker 7: Venezuelan charged with filming and selling child pornography in Michigan.
- 7:17Speaker 7: These are just some of the heinous migrant criminals caught
- 7:21Speaker 7: because of President Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom,
- 7:25Speaker 7: the United States Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump,
- 7:29Speaker 7: attempted illegal border crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded,
- 7:33Speaker 7: and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested.
- 7:37Speaker 7: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 7:40Speaker 7: fined nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported.
- 7:45Speaker 7: You will never return. But if you register using our
- 7:48Speaker 7: CBP home app and leave now, you could be allowed
- 7:51Speaker 7: to return legally. Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump,
- 7:56Speaker 7: America's laws, Border and families will be.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Prett sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 8:03Speaker 6: I decided like six weeks before the marathon. Yeah, I
- 8:06Speaker 6: was crazy. You usually gotta train eight months. I only
- 8:11Speaker 6: ran like ten days before, you know, I was partying
- 8:15Speaker 6: the days before. And on the tenth mile, I hit
- 8:20Speaker 6: a wall and I felt like I was literally gonna die,
- 8:26Speaker 6: and I wanted to stop. I hit that level, I
- 8:29Speaker 6: hit that ceiling in business, but I had to keep going.
- 8:34Speaker 6: So I'm in pain, I'm struggling, but I had to
- 8:38Speaker 6: keep going. And that's kind of a metaphor, you know,
- 8:44Speaker 6: for my life and for everybody who is in here
- 8:47Speaker 6: that's on the road of being an entrepreneur. It's a marathon,
- 8:52Speaker 6: not a sprint. You're gonna hit these obstacles, and there's
- 8:55Speaker 6: different levels, there's different miles, there's different levels of intensity,
- 9:00Speaker 6: and so I was able to make it and finish
- 9:05Speaker 6: the marathon, and I was able to kind of take
- 9:08Speaker 6: that with me and apply it to business. And so
- 9:12Speaker 6: you know, at this point, you know, in the position
- 9:17Speaker 6: that I'm in, I had to really look at like,
- 9:21Speaker 6: what does you know the next half of my life
- 9:23Speaker 6: look like? And I had to really really really look
- 9:27Speaker 6: at what I wanted to do and make sure that
- 9:31Speaker 6: I finished this marathon the right way because because me
- 9:35Speaker 6: just completing the race, that ain't what I want to do.
- 9:38Speaker 6: I want to win the race. I want to win
- 9:41Speaker 6: the race. I want us to win the race.
- 9:45Speaker 4: It's interesting.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So it's thirty years of business for yeah, it's fifty
- 9:49Speaker 2: years of hip hop. When we met, you looked at
- 9:52Speaker 2: us and you said, I love y'all brothers, because what
- 9:56Speaker 2: y'all been able to do, we've never been able to
- 9:59Speaker 2: do in hip hop.
- 10:00Speaker 4: And that's make it cool to be educated.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So what I wonder when you look at the landscape
- 10:05Speaker 2: from your perspective right because you are at a different level,
- 10:10Speaker 2: do you feel encouraged about this movement of financial power,
- 10:14Speaker 2: financial literacy, financial education that you're seeing.
- 10:19Speaker 6: I mean, I love what you guys are doing. I
- 10:21Speaker 6: love what you guys are doing. The beauty about everybody
- 10:25Speaker 6: here is they took that step. Everybody here, y'all took
- 10:30Speaker 6: that step. Y'all took accountability to come here and learn
- 10:33Speaker 6: give yourselves around them.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Applause.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Nobody's hiding the knowledge, just not like no secret conspiracy
- 10:44Speaker 6: that they're hiding the knowledge. You have to make a
- 10:46Speaker 6: decision that you want to be financially literate. You have
- 10:50Speaker 6: to make that decision. And so you know, seeing you
- 10:54Speaker 6: guys be successful, being able to support y'all and seeing
- 10:57Speaker 6: so many come out, people come out and changing the
- 11:00Speaker 6: narrative to the importance of being financially literate, it's something
- 11:04Speaker 6: that I gotta honestly say, you guys are responsible for
- 11:07Speaker 6: You guys are responsible for that shift.
- 11:10Speaker 4: So I applaud you on that. Thank you. I want.
- 11:15Speaker 6: I want to can I circle back to something not
- 11:17Speaker 6: because I want to make sure I give you the
- 11:18Speaker 6: true answer. So he's talking about levels, and I kind
- 11:22Speaker 6: of just got it right now. Even though the levels
- 11:24Speaker 6: in the marathon it goes together, but there's a level
- 11:29Speaker 6: that you get to and you're successful, and you get
- 11:34Speaker 6: to the point of being successful and as a black person.
- 11:38Speaker 6: There's this thing that kicks in, there's this jealousy that
- 11:42Speaker 6: kicks in, there's this fear that kicks in. Then they
- 11:46Speaker 6: start to burn things down. Then they start to take
- 11:50Speaker 6: the money out the Freedom Bank. Then they go back
- 11:53Speaker 6: on the forty acres of the mule. Then we don't
- 11:58Speaker 6: deserve our worth. So even Hole Jay, none of us
- 12:06Speaker 6: are immune to it. He had to sue Bacardi to
- 12:11Speaker 6: get his worth, like they make us at the next level.
- 12:17Speaker 6: You think that you've overcome everything, Oh, I finally made it,
- 12:22Speaker 6: and then there's a whole another army up there that
- 12:26Speaker 6: is there to try to push you down the hill.
- 12:28Speaker 4: And that's why from being.
- 12:31Speaker 6: At the mountaintop, I could come back down and tell
- 12:33Speaker 6: y'all the only way out of this is if we
- 12:36Speaker 6: can unify and combine our forces.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Because what's waiting for you up there, Yo, that's that's all.
- 12:54Speaker 1: That's pretty insightful. That's actually ill. That's like a metaphor
- 12:57Speaker 1: of like you seeing the opposition on on the side,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and you like, we'reporting back look letting you know what's happening,
- 13:04Speaker 1: Like you can't see it, but I'm actually seeing it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: So to the ground troops we gotta you know what
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm saying, like this is actually crazy. That's that's pretty
- 13:12Speaker 1: dope that you said that.
- 13:13Speaker 7: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 13:17Speaker 7: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 13:21Speaker 7: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 13:25Speaker 7: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 13:29Speaker 7: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 13:33Speaker 7: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 13:36Speaker 7: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 13:41Speaker 7: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 13:45Speaker 7: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 13:48Speaker 7: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 13:52Speaker 7: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 13:56Speaker 7: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 14:00Speaker 7: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 14:03Speaker 7: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 14:08Speaker 7: border and families will be protected.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
