Melanoma’s sneaky — but catch it early and you’ve got a real shot at beating it. In the UK, it’s the fifth most common cancer, linked to sun and tanning bed exposure, and while older folks are more at risk, younger people aren’t immune. The NHS says check your moles with the ABCDE system: asymmetrical, irregular borders, color changes, diameter over six mm, or evolving shape.
