Speaker 1: Well, hey, friends, welcome back to Coming Out, christian.
0:25
Speaker 1: It has been a hot minute since we have done an episode together, and I'm so excited to get back at it.
0:30
Speaker 1: There's so many things that I want to share with you and talk about, and today is no exception, so we're going to get right into it right after this.
0:38
Speaker 1: If you've ever looked around and thought this isn't normal and it sure isn't biblical, you're not alone.
0:44
Speaker 1: And guess what?
0:45
Speaker 1: You're not crazy, you're discerning.
0:47
Speaker 1: That's why I wrote Truth Bombs and Grace Grenades a bold, unapologetic book for believers who are done being silent while the world screams lies, from gender confusion to political idolatry, from woke theology to spiritual apathy.
1:00
Speaker 1: We're hitting it all straight on, straight up and backed by scripture.
1:04
Speaker 1: This isn't a rage-fueled rant.
1:06
Speaker 1: It's a rally cry, a wake-up call to stop apologizing and start boldly living out the gospel.
1:12
Speaker 1: Whether you're a new believer or a disillusioned disciple trying to find your footing again, this book is for you.
1:18
Speaker 1: It's packed with truth bombs, grace-filled strategies and practical tools to help you speak truth with love, raise warriors, not worriers, dismantle lies with biblical clarity and rebuild with grit, grace and gospel power.
1:31
Speaker 1: The culture doesn't need more compromise.
1:33
Speaker 1: It needs courageous Christians.
1:35
Speaker 1: So if you're ready to push back against the chaos with bold faith and real truth?
1:39
Speaker 1: Grab your copy of Truth Bombs and Grace Grenades on May 6, 2025.
1:44
Speaker 1: Let's shake things up with truth and grace.
1:47
Speaker 1: Okay, so let's start with some real talk here.
1:50
Speaker 1: Have you ever felt like you are trapped in a really obnoxious group text that went completely off the rails, like you didn't ask to be in it and you don't even know half the people that are in it?
2:03
Speaker 1: Be in it and you don't even know half the people that are in it.
2:07
Speaker 1: Yet your phone is blowing up with arguments about politics and gender and race and who's to blame and why.
2:11
Speaker 1: You have to pick a side or you're going to be canceled.
2:14
Speaker 1: Yeah well, that's basically what modern America is all about.
2:20
Speaker 1: And while we're at it, can we just go ahead and acknowledge the not so little elephant in the room?
2:25
Speaker 1: We are being manipulated like so bad and so on, purpose and so consistently by both sides of the argument, that's whether it's the political aisle or the social construct aisle.
2:44
Speaker 1: It is every major media outlet that knows, without a doubt, that outrage equals ratings and fear equals control.
2:54
Speaker 1: It's probably like the oldest trick in the book divide and conquer and spoiler alert it's working like really, really well, but it doesn't have to.
3:04
Speaker 1: Let's break it down with how this game is being played against us, the left-leaning media.
3:10
Speaker 1: They'll have you believe that if you question a biological male in your daughter's locker room, you are a hate-filled bigot, right.
3:19
Speaker 1: You're harming trans kids.
3:21
Speaker 1: You dangerous.
3:22
Speaker 1: And the right-wing media will show clip after clip of liberal insanity and, trust me, there's no shortage of it but they will wrap it up in a headline so alarming that you're going to think that Armageddon has already hit my loves.
3:39
Speaker 1: We are not being informed, we're being influenced.
3:43
Speaker 1: Let's talk about politics, okay, are you ready?
3:45
Speaker 1: When the Democrats lost in 2016, all we heard about was Russian interference right.
3:56
Speaker 1: And when the Republicans lost, it became all about stolen elections, right.
3:58
Speaker 1: Whatever side or part that you might agree with, even just a little bit, there is one common thread in that, and that is there is a pattern to it all.
4:06
Speaker 1: Both sides preach democracy when they win, but when they lose, suddenly the system is rigged.
4:13
Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that there's no truth to that, but regardless, we're the ones who are left with, like election fatigue and this absolute mistrust of our governing bodies.
4:24
Speaker 1: Why does it work and why does it keep happening.
4:28
Speaker 1: Well, because we let it.
4:30
Speaker 1: We just eat up those headlines, we repost the memes, we unfriend people we grew up with because they voted differently.
4:38
Speaker 1: But hang on a second.
4:39
Speaker 1: Okay, let me read this to you from Matthew 24, 10 through 12.
4:43
Speaker 1: Many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another, and because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
4:51
Speaker 1: Does it sound familiar?
4:53
Speaker 1: The division is spiritual and it's strategic.
4:57
Speaker 1: And oh and, by the way, satan loves it.
5:01
Speaker 1: He is dancing in the streets when the churches are split over masks and families and they stop speaking over Facebook posts.
5:10
Speaker 1: But here is the good news we don't have to play along.
5:14
Speaker 1: Let's get practical.
5:15
Speaker 1: Okay, here's what we can do.
5:16
Speaker 1: Turn off the rage machine, and I mean this so seriously.
5:21
Speaker 1: Take a break.
5:23
Speaker 1: So seriously take a break.
5:24
Speaker 1: Stop letting cable news or Twitter I'm sorry, x shape your entire worldview.
5:30
Speaker 1: If you read Proverbs 18, 13, it says To answer before listening.
5:34
Speaker 1: That is folly and shame.
5:36
Speaker 1: So let's do more listening and less reacting and yes, I am preaching to myself here, like 100% to myself and if it benefits you, even better.
5:48
Speaker 1: Number two have real conversations, not tweet threads and not yelling across the comments section.
5:54
Speaker 1: Real, respectful human conversations, ask questions, be curious and speak truth in love.
6:01
Speaker 1: And yes, of course that's biblical 1 Peter 3.15.
6:05
Speaker 1: Just look it up Next.
6:06
Speaker 1: And so super, super, super important teach your kids to think biblically.
6:11
Speaker 1: The schools won't do it, so we have to.
6:13
Speaker 1: We need to teach them to spot manipulation and teach them to ask what does God's word say about this?
6:19
Speaker 1: In Proverbs 22.6,.
6:20
Speaker 1: Train up a child in the way he should go right.
6:24
Speaker 1: Yes, number four, be a bridge, not a barrier.
6:27
Speaker 1: You can be bold and kind at the same time.
6:31
Speaker 1: Remember and it's my favorite Jesus flipped tables, but he also washed the feet of others, so we have to remember both.
6:39
Speaker 1: Okay, so here's the takeaway the powers that be want us divided, distracted and disillusioned, but we serve a kingdom that isn't shaken.
6:49
Speaker 1: We're called to be peacemakers, not pawns, and Jesus said in John 13, 35, by this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.
6:59
Speaker 1: So, as hard as it is, let's rise above the outrage.
7:04
Speaker 1: Let's speak boldly, love fiercely and never back down from the truth.
7:09
