- 2:20Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it was a beautiful day here in Long
- 2:22Island, New York. It was about 68°.
- 2:25We're almost at 70. There's still snow on the
- 2:27ground. It's like, I don't understand
- 2:30New York weather it one day it's freezing at night it's like 20°
- 2:35and then all of a sudden the next day it shoots up to 5868.
- 2:39Whatever it is, it doesn't make any sense.
- 2:41It's like the weather has a mind of its own, but it's been a
- 2:45pretty good weekend, especially for the WBC tonight.
- 2:48You have Team USA that are two and oh and the WBC facing off
- 2:52against Mexico. So we will be in tuned in that
- 2:55game. So a lot to get into tonight.
- 2:58I I know everybody can't wait until the draft, which is what a
- 3:03couple of weeks away, April 28th, 29th, I think it is this
- 3:06week this year, I don't know exact date, but it's always
- 3:09around my birthday where it will be held in Pittsburgh this year.
- 3:14So the home of is it Aaron Rodgers?
- 3:16Who knows? So, but definitely Mike
- 3:19McCarthy, the new head coach over there and it's something to
- 3:22be excited about. I I don't even remember the last
- 3:25time it the the draft was in Pittsburgh.
- 3:27Is this the first time speedy it's in Pittsburgh.
- 3:30It usually is in New York, but over the last 10 years the NFL
- 3:34has spread it out and it's been in all different places.
- 3:38It's been in Wisconsin, It was in Green Bay I think last year
- 3:42and it's jumped Kansas City the year before that.
- 3:44So it's been all over the place. I don't know if it's ever been
- 3:48in Pittsburgh, but it's fun. Pittsburgh fans are great.
- 3:50It's a great crowd. I know a lot of people are going
- 3:53to be traveling and today there were a load of trades.
- 3:56We're going to get into it with the whip around for The Jets, a
- 3:59lot of signings and we're getting right into free agency
- 4:02where it's going to open up the floodgates.
- 4:05And if you're a met Giant fan, I almost said Met, but Giants or
- 4:08Jet fan, you should be excited. There is an off season to be
- 4:13had. And obviously the New York Jets
- 4:16are really fishing as as we've seen in the last 24 to 48 hours,
- 4:21and hopefully they'll catch some fish with some worms because so
- 4:25I'm reading. It I'm reading.
- 4:26It right now. Technically, this isn't the
- 4:29first time. Pittsburgh has hosted it.
- 4:32They've hosted in 47, but it's the first time they've hosted it
- 4:36in this modern format. So yes, technically, this is the
- 4:39first time that Pittsburgh has hosted the NFL Draft to this
- 4:42magnitude. I I figured it was this was
- 4:45probably the first time, but hey, listen, the Pittsburgh fans
- 4:48are crazy. You love those, those what do
- 4:52they call those things? No, the flat.
- 4:54What do they call? It.
- 4:55Terrible Towels, which will be everybody be waving and I'm sure
- 4:58they're going to make the NFL draft terrible towels.
- 5:01So you'll see everybody excited to to go to Pittsburgh.
- 5:05A lot of different broadcasts will be held over there.
- 5:08ESPNCBS and all the podcasting out there that you don't want to
- 5:13listen to what they're all going to be there, ladies and
- 5:16gentlemen. So it's an exciting time.
- 5:18ESP NS Adam Schefner reports that Las Vegas are The Las Vegas
- 5:23Raiders are trading Max Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two
- 5:26first round draft, including a #14 this year.
- 5:30The trade should help fix the Ravens biggest problem the last
- 5:34couple of years as they are uncharacteristically struggling
- 5:38on the defensive side of the ball, finishing with just 13
- 5:42sacks, which was also ranked 30th in the NFL.
- 5:46They also had the 4th worst pressure rate and 5th worst pass
- 5:51rush rate, a win rate in the league.
- 5:54Crosby, who had made five straight pro balls, was a
- 5:58finalist for Defensive Player of the Year 2 years ago.
- 6:02Since Crosby entered the league in 2019, he is the first overall
- 6:07in both tackles for losses and solo tackles, second in
- 6:12quarterback pressures and hits, and fifth in sacks among all NFL
- 6:16defensive lineman. In in.
- 6:18In order for the Ravens to cough up to first round draft picks,
- 6:23the Raiders will take on all the remaining guaranteed 20. 9
- 6:27million in his contract with the Ravens only taking on four years
- 6:32worth of non guaranteed cap hits raging between 26.5 and 30
- 6:39million per season. ESPN.
- 6:41Diane Rusini reports that Crosby had his eye on being traded to
- 6:46the Cowboys, Patriots, Jack Rose or Ravens before the deal was
- 6:50made. ESP NS Jeremy Fowler reports
- 6:52that the Cowboys had a big offer for Crosby as well, centered
- 6:57around their first round pick this year and second round pick
- 7:01in 2027. And defensive tackle.
- 7:04How do you pronounce his? Name Odigazua.
- 7:06Odigazua OSA Odigazua. Fowler also mentioned that Tom
- 7:11Brady was unwieldy to send Crosby to the Patriots and Mike
- 7:16Frabel no matter what the asking price was for Crosby, who last
- 7:23year made his desired, made his desire to be traded very public
- 7:29with a story about Tom Brady and his long time trainer and
- 7:32partner Alex Guerrero causing issues behind the scenes in
- 7:36Vegas last year in his role as the Wellness coordinator.
- 7:42Well, ladies and gentlemen, we we kind of got into this last
- 7:45week when the trade happened. And I know everybody's going to
- 7:49sit here and argue what the Raiders are doing, but the
- 7:54Raiders are going to rebuild. They have a new coach, a rookie
- 7:57coach that has no experience as a head coach, successful wins
- 8:02the Super Bowl as the offensive coordinator for the Seattle
- 8:05Seahawks this past year. We understand what a new regime
- 8:10is going to bring to the table. Tom Brady is running the show.
- 8:12Obviously, you can see it. I don't know if I have to spread
- 8:16the the thought to it because everybody knows my opinion
- 8:20towards it. And this whole Guerrero thing,
- 8:24the Wellness coordinator, which makes no sense.
- 8:26No team has a Wellness coordinator throughout any
- 8:30organization in the NFL. But guess what the Raiders
- 8:32don't? Tom Brady TB 12 The fact here is
- 8:40Max Crosby is a likable person, very liked by the Raider fans.
- 8:44This was the one superstar they had that everybody cheers for.
- 8:48Everybody in the league, everybody in the world knows who
- 8:51Max Crosby is. The tattoo assassin who goes out
- 8:56there and tries to rip your head off has a great style when it
- 8:59comes to fashion. As we all know, certain players
- 9:02have said this guy is one of the best dressers in all of the NFL.
- 9:06But this is also a guy that has his opinion.
- 9:10And even though he's a very likable person, he's not in
- 9:14control of the Raiders organization.
- 9:16Tom Brady is, and so is Davis. And Tom Brady is making the
- 9:20decisions. Say whatever you want.
- 9:22The NFL has created this big problem.
- 9:25The NFL gave the likes of Tom Brady an option to be an owner
- 9:34of the Raiders, 10% owner of the Raiders, and has given Davis an
- 9:38opportunity to give him control, Tom Brady control with this
- 9:42organization. It doesn't matter if the Raiders
- 9:45have AGM because guess what? Tom Brady is the GM.
- 9:49He's the GM. He's the highest paid analyst
- 9:51right now in the NFL, making about $40 million as a
- 9:55broadcaster for Fox. Who's better than Tom Brady?
- 10:00Nobody. Tom Brady is liked by everybody
- 10:05and shamed by nobody. But Crosby did not receive Tom
- 10:12Brady as a liking for the Raiders organization.
- 10:17As a matter of fact, Max Crosby couldn't stand Tom Brady,
- 10:21doesn't like the fact that Tom Brady is running an organization
- 10:25that has been run to the ground too many times by GMs, coaches
- 10:29and ownership. And the fact here is the Raiders
- 10:36are trying to recreate the wheel.
- 10:40They think they could go into this year's draft with all these
- 10:43draft picks and find a pass rusher as good as Crosby.
- 10:46Crosby Let's be honest, Jon Gruden is the one that drafted
- 10:54this kid. He's the one who found Crosby in
- 10:56the later rounds. Crosby.
- 10:58What was he, A fifth round draft pick?
- 10:59Out of Eastern Michigan. Nobody knew who Max Crosby was.
- 11:04Nobody. But the development of Max
- 11:07Crosby came from no other than Jon Gruden, who's one of the
- 11:11more smarter evaluators when it comes to talent in NFL history.
- 11:17As we know about the quarterbacks and the quarterback
- 11:20camps that he has every single offseason.
- 11:22And some of the guys that he's training, One of them who could
- 11:25be a top three pick in Reese, who is very well liked
- 11:29throughout the NFL and the league, depending on where he
- 11:32gets drafted, he could be a very valued piece to an organization.
- 11:38I don't care if Diane Rusini is making making her thoughts be
- 11:43heard or Adam Schefner. Nobody knows what's going inside
- 11:47the Raiders locker room but the Raiders.
- 11:51And obviously it's not coming from one player, it's coming
- 11:54from many. We've had two of them on our
- 11:57show that's from Long Island. We've had the conversation.
- 11:59They're not going to throw the organization under the bus.
- 12:01But guess what? They know where the Raiders are
- 12:03going at their number one pick. I mean, it's it's definitely
- 12:06stuck over the last couple of weeks.
- 12:09Actually for the last two months, it's stuck because we
- 12:13know who the national champion is.
- 12:14We know who the Heisman Trophy winner is and that's where
- 12:17they're going. That's why they lost the last
- 12:19four games. That's why they gave up.
- 12:21That's why they put Max Crosby on the IR.
- 12:24That's why they put guys like Brock Bowers on the IR, because
- 12:29they didn't want to listen. They didn't want to win the last
- 12:32couple of games of the season because guess what?
- 12:34If they won one of those games, The Jets would be drafting at
- 12:37one. And guess where the Heisman
- 12:39Trophy in Fernando Mendoza would be going?
- 12:41That would be the New York Jets. If I was Max Crosby, I'm not
- 12:48even saying goodbye to the Raiders organization.
- 12:51Some of his players, obviously he's going to reach out to them
- 12:53and he's going to tell them that, you know, he loves them.
- 12:56The Raider fans, he's a very respectful guy.
- 12:59He went on social media when he was traded.
- 13:01I don't know if everybody's checked out his social media.
- 13:04He he gave a nice little letter out there to the Raider fans
- 13:08and, and told the Raider fans how much he loved being there
- 13:10and playing and being a superstar there and, and playing
- 13:14his heart out for this organization all these years.
- 13:18Jon Gruden said it best and he said it over the weekend.
- 13:22This is a catastrophic, catastrophic move for the
- 13:26Raiders organization. This is going to set the Raiders
- 13:30back defensively for the next 5 to 10 years to have a player
- 13:34this good. Yeah, he's 28 years old.
- 13:36He's in the prime of his career. He causes more problems at the
- 13:39line of scrimmage than probably him. 90 percent, 95% of the
- 13:44defensive lineman in the league. There might be two guys I would
- 13:47take over 2 and they're in the same division as him and Miles
- 13:54Garrett and Mr. Watt. Those are the only two guys I
- 13:59would take over him. I would take him over Michael
- 14:02Parsons because guess what? I have seen more health in the
- 14:06last couple of years with Crosby than I have seen with Michael
- 14:10Parson. And Michael Parson was out a
- 14:11whole season last year after getting the money that he got.
- 14:14He was the highest paid defensive lineman in all of
- 14:16football last year, but and he only played what, 7-8 games
- 14:20before he heard his ACL towards ACL?
- 14:23I think it was his ACL, right? Yeah, it was.
- 14:25His Achilles, Yeah, it was against the Bears, so.
- 14:27Was it his Achilles or ACL? It was it was.
- 14:29It was multiple injuries. I think it was the ACL and LCLI
- 14:32believe it. Was it was his AC LII just want
- 14:34to know if it's a knee problem. It wasn't the the Achilles
- 14:37because it's been a big problem right now in the NFL for
- 14:40injuries. It's either an Achilles or an
- 14:42ACL. Those are the big ones because
- 14:44you're at a significant amount of time more for the Achilles
- 14:47than you are for the ACL. You could come back.
- 14:49We've seen Adrian Peterson come out, come back in eight months,
- 14:52and now we're seeing a guy like Tatum, which we'll get into a
- 14:55little bit later, coming back as quick as he did as a basketball
- 14:58player. That's like 10 months, which is
- 15:00really fast for a guy that's jumping and using his legs 90%
- 15:04of the time. But you look at the trade and I
- 15:08know everybody's looking at the Cowboys.
- 15:10Oh, the Cowboys could have landed.
- 15:11He was never going to the Cowboys.
- 15:13He was never going to the Jaguars.
- 15:15We said it, it was either the Buccaneers.
- 15:18The Ravens were definitely a team that prioritized the
- 15:21defensive line help because they haven't had a defensive lineman
- 15:24this good since Suggs, since the Ray Ray Lewis time.
- 15:29I mean, think about it. You have a guy, and if I wish
- 15:33John Harbaugh, I would be pissed off because he's been asking for
- 15:37a defensive lineman, a guy that can get at the quarterback for
- 15:41years and they never could have. For some reason, the Ravens
- 15:44didn't want to go after one or didn't want to spend the money
- 15:46or didn't want to trade away any pieces to get a a guy this good.
- 15:51This is the same thing on my story on a worldwide sports
- 15:54radio network on why I attacked. I had my Max Crosby story that I
- 15:58posted I think on Friday after this trade happened and I said
- 16:05that the Giants did the same thing to Tom Coughlin, ran Tom
- 16:09Coughlin out. Tom Coughlin for two years asked
- 16:12the Giants get me some defensive line out, I'll win you another
- 16:16Super Bowl. Eventually the Odell Beckham saw
- 16:19Odell Beckham style sago, whatever whatever happened with
- 16:23him and Odell Beckham pushed a guy like Tom Coughlin out and
- 16:28it, it hasn't been as good for the New York Giants since then.
- 16:32The Giants have been a bad run organization since Tom Coughlin
- 16:36parted ways with them. And that's almost 14 years of
- 16:39football, 13 years it's been bad.
- 16:46And we, we know Tom Coughlin. We've, I've interviewed Tom
- 16:48Coughlin twice. He doesn't want to throw the
- 16:52Giants under the bus. And I'm going to tell you this
- 16:54right now, I'm sure Max Crosby, as much as he can't stand Tom
- 16:58Brady or Davis or the Davis family or the Raiders
- 17:02organization, I don't think Max Crosby Crosby is going to go out
- 17:05of his way to throw this organization under the bus
- 17:07because I believe Max Crosby is professional.
- 17:12But this is a horrible story because you have this guy who's
- 17:15as good as anybody at his position in the league.
- 17:17Anybody. You don't get rid of players
- 17:20like this. You don't.
- 17:23These guys are untouchable. A pass rusher this dominant, a
- 17:26top five pass rusher. These guys don't grow on trees.
- 17:30He looks like a tree, but he doesn't grow like 1.
- 17:35This is horrible. This is horrible for Raider
- 17:38Nation. Raider Nation is not happy about
- 17:40this. I'm sure of it.
- 17:42They're not happy about this and you're going into a season where
- 17:46there's a lot of questions on the defensive side of ball.
- 17:48You're going to trust in on young defensive lineman that you
- 17:51could draft. If somehow you get, you move up
- 17:54and you get maybe a Reuben Bane or any of these guys, whoever it
- 17:58is, maybe you get 2 of them. None of them are going to be Max
- 18:02Crosby. None of them.
- 18:05It's like the Cowboys trading away Micah Parsons.
- 18:10Losing Micah Parsons hurt their pass rush significantly.
- 18:15Now they did add Quinton Williams in the at the trade
- 18:18deadline. They added pieces.
- 18:20Their defensive line is semi good, but not anywhere close to
- 18:25as good as it was when Michael Parsons there.
- 18:27When you got a game, game changing player of that
- 18:29magnitude, you don't just say sayonara, we don't need you.
- 18:33We're going to trade you for two first round draft picks because
- 18:35it's a crapshoot. You don't know what that guy's
- 18:38going to be or those guys are going to be in the future.
- 18:41You can only hope that these guys are going to transform into
- 18:45a a Max Crosby type of player or an Anderson type of player.
- 18:49Anderson was the number one picker #2 pick in the draft.
- 18:52Those guys don't grow on trees. When you get a guy like Crosby
- 18:55in the fifth round and somehow he turns into a star very I
- 18:59guess Seattle like you don't let those guys go.
- 19:06And this guy, the same thing that's happened with the New
- 19:08York Jets. When you're a bad organization,
- 19:11these players don't want to be there anymore.
- 19:13They don't want to lose anymore. Crosby's best time and best, you
- 19:18know, best type of best time for his career right now is now he's
- 19:23in the prime of his career. He could dominate right now.
- 19:26He complete completely change a game.
- 19:29One player could change a game at like Crosby.
- 19:33They don't have players like that over there in Raider
- 19:36Nation. They don't.
- 19:37I'm sorry, Raider fans, you should not be excited.
- 19:40I don't care how much draft stock.
- 19:41I don't care if you have Fernando Mendoza or not.
- 19:44Fernando Mendoza is not going to be happy to lose a leader like
- 19:47Max Crosby. That highly profile player of
- 19:51that magnitude, Devante Adams, came out on social media, was
- 19:54shocked. Devante Adams was let go, traded
- 20:01away by the Raiders. For practically nothing to the
- 20:05New York Jets, Devante Adams was one game away from going to a
- 20:09Super Bowl last year with the Rams.
- 20:12He never even got close to making the playoffs.
- 20:14I don't believe with that that Raider team.
- 20:20The problem here is, is yes, players have their own outlook
- 20:24and thought to where the organization is going.
- 20:26But when you have a player this highly profiled, you don't just
- 20:29push him out. You try to figure out what is
- 20:32wrong. You get Tom Brady in a room.
- 20:34That's what I would have done if I was Davis.
- 20:37I get Tom Brady, Guerrero and my guy Max Crosby in a room and I
- 20:43tell, I tell Tom Brady, listen, this is my guy.
- 20:47This is my franchise player. I want him to be here for life.
- 20:52What do I have to do to get you guys to see eye to eye before I
- 20:57made the move in trading or or deciding to part ways with Pete
- 21:00Carroll? I'm going to my best player.
- 21:03I'm going to Crosby and saying, do you think Pete Carroll's the
- 21:07guy that's going to take us to the promised land?
- 21:11Max will be honest. You're bringing in an offensive
- 21:16coordinator, a new offensive coordinator to another
- 21:21organization that has had many of those guys.
- 21:25Do we want to go back on some of the coaches they've had?
- 21:28Practically all new guys besides Big Carroll.
- 21:30Think about it. Antonio Pierce, new coach,
- 21:35didn't work out. John Gruden was the only one
- 21:39him, and I would say Josh McDaniel, I wouldn't even say
- 21:44that. Yeah, I was going to say he got
- 21:46he has negative experience. He has no experience because it
- 21:48didn't work out with the Broncos.
- 21:50What did he have two years over there?
- 21:51Yeah, that one playoff year where Tim Tebow saved.
- 21:53Them I wouldn't even say McDaniel has any experience
- 21:55because the guy is an idiot. He's not a good coach, he's an
- 22:00offensive coordinator. And I'm not saying their young
- 22:04coach that they brought in from Seattle is going to be a bad
- 22:07choice, but the bets have showed you that they don't work out
- 22:14over there in Raiderville. It doesn't work.
- 22:18And they'll lose a five time Pro Bowler at this high rate and,
- 22:22and, and a guy that is very likable.
- 22:25If I was a Raider fan, I would just completely, I'm not
- 22:29watching, I'm not watching football this year.
- 22:31I can't sit and watch this team completely humiliate themselves
- 22:36as I believe now going into a season where you're going to
- 22:39have a bunch of rookies on the defensive side of the ball.
- 22:42Yeah, you could bring it free agents.
- 22:43Nobody as good as a guy like Crosby.
- 22:46You're going to bring in a veteran guy.
- 22:47You're going to bring a Hendrickson.
- 22:48Is he, did he get signed yet? No, maybe you're bringing a
- 22:51Hendrickson. He's a good player.
- 22:53He's on Max Crosby. I mean, this is a complete turn
- 22:58off for Raider fans. I apologize.
- 23:00I feel bad for you guys. Tom Brady, who's got a lot of
- 23:04clout, a lot of respect through ownerships and players
- 23:10throughout the league because he's like, oh, as everybody
- 23:12calls him and he has the NF LS ear because the NFL changes
- 23:18rules for yes, Mr. Tom Brady TB 12.
- 23:22Yep, and the one thing you can't change the rules for is the fact
- 23:25that he can only be go so far with his ego as an owner and get
- 23:30other guys from other organizations to be able to
- 23:32trust you. And Josh McDaniels, obviously he
- 23:35wasn't there with Brady directly at the time, but I'm sure there
- 23:37was influence over there when Brady was buying into the team
- 23:40that McDaniels gave him the seal of approval.
- 23:43And now you're trying to get this kind of thing to work in
- 23:45another area where we know the quote UN quote Patriot way
- 23:48doesn't work in other places very often.
- 23:50And now you're creating a really bad idea of, all right, what Tom
- 23:54Brady says goes and that's going to deter a lot of these other
- 23:57guys to want to stay there. And Max Crosby came from that
- 24:00Jon Gruden era, that old school type physical philosophy that
- 24:03they were trying to bring there. And even when Gruden obviously
- 24:05had the issues with the scandal and had to resign, they kept
- 24:08that mentality with that season and they made the playoffs.
- 24:11And yet they just decided to undo everything based on that.
- 24:14And I'm sure Max Crosby even to that point was getting
- 24:16frustrated. Same time that you mentioned
- 24:18with Devante Adams. Devante Adams never wanted to
- 24:20leave Las Vegas. He what He liked it, the idea of
- 24:22the mindset over there until guess who came over there?
- 24:25Tom Brady and he deterred Devante Adams and go in there.
- 24:28Who says that? Brock Bowers or Gente or Colton
- 24:32Miller, any of the other good players, the few good players
- 24:34they have left are going to not think the same way because
- 24:37they're going to have to make decisions on these guys.
- 24:39And it creates a bad vibe. Yeah, Fernando Mendoza could be
- 24:43the leader that I know Chris Collier believes he definitely
- 24:46could be. And again, we'll see down the
- 24:48road if he's left the kind of way with the NFL, but it's not
- 24:51going to be 1 player that's going to save a whole franchise
- 24:53and trust all these other players who want to come there.
- 24:56And as a result, you see somebody like Crosby who wanted
- 24:58to stay there his whole career. He said he wanted to be a Raider
- 25:01for life back in 2024, even when Brady was still trying to
- 25:04finalize the deal. And what happened, they did
- 25:06everything wrong in order to not keep him there.
- 25:08And like you said, bad teams don't have to, I guess, pay
- 25:11either. Pay the tax of not having to
- 25:13overpay for players who want to come there like the Browns have
- 25:16had to do, like The Jets have had to do because of these bad
- 25:18ownership. And now you're adding another
- 25:20ego like Mark Davis with Tom Brady.
- 25:23But this is this is what happens when the NFL steps in and allows
- 25:27an organization to bring in a former player that's very liked.
- 25:31And I understand he's a special player.
- 25:33He's going to always be considered one of the greatest
- 25:36players of all time because we what he's done in the NFL.
- 25:39This guy was a six round draft pick and he was really
- 25:44handpicked by Bill Belichick and and the Patriot organization.
- 25:47And for some reason, they think that he can recreate the Bill
- 25:51Belichick era with the New England Patriots when he was the
- 25:54quarterback. That doesn't happen.
- 25:57I'm sorry for all the fans out there.
- 25:59As much as Tom Brady is a special player and what he did
- 26:02in the NFL was incredible, he is not Bill Belichick.
- 26:05He is not the Patriots organization and the Patriots
- 26:08organization, which was very, very bad before Tom Brady came
- 26:12there and Bill Belichick really took over.
- 26:14Yeah, he looks at the game a completely different way.
- 26:17Maybe he can recreate something of that creation that the
- 26:22Patriots did over the years, but we don't know who their
- 26:25quarterback is. And if Fernando Mendoza is not
- 26:27Tom Brady, nobody's Tom Brady. Those guys just don't find a way
- 26:32on your team. Yeah, Brock Purdy found his way
- 26:35at the last pick in the seventh round by the San Francisco
- 26:3749ers. What's Brock Purdy done?
- 26:39He's done nothing. He's never won a Super Bowl.
- 26:43That that's the facts. I, I'm, I'm just telling you
- 26:45guys the truth. Whatever you guys think or
- 26:47whatever Raider fan is sitting here and saying, oh, we don't
- 26:50need them. Are you crazy?
- 26:52I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 26:54You look at the Ravens last year and you look at him this year at
- 26:57the end of the season, they're going to be light years, light
- 27:01years better on the defensive side of the ball.
- 27:03Why? Because this guy is going to
- 27:05cause havoc on both sides of the line wherever they put him.
- 27:09Cuz this guy could play multiple positions, outside linebacker,
- 27:12defensive end. You can move him inside, you can
- 27:15make him push the pocket. He's a great run stopper as well
- 27:18as a good pass rusher. He's mean and he's evil on the
- 27:21line and he's a good team leader.
- 27:24Those guys don't grow on trees. Like I said, this guy is
- 27:29something of just he's unique. He's different.
- 27:34And again, Miles Garrett, why did he get all the money that he
- 27:37got at the tail end really in the the late prime of his
- 27:41career? What is it?
- 27:41Miles Garrett, 31, we got that contract.
- 27:44He's 31 years old. Usually pass rushers at at a top
- 27:48level play till they're 3334. Miles Garrett got $40 million a
- 27:52year. Why?
- 27:53Cuz he's the best pass rusher in the league.
- 27:55Watt got a big contract. Why did he get that?
- 27:57Because he's one of the best pass rushers in the league.
- 28:00Max Crosby has not made nearly as much as these two guys and
- 28:04he's just as good as them. So what does that tell you?
- 28:07And rave advance. You should be excited.
- 28:10You should be ecstatic to get a player like this, cuz again, you
- 28:14haven't had a player like this for 10 years.
- 28:17Oh my God, John Harbaugh's probably crapping in his pants,
- 28:20right? Yeah.
- 28:21And the Ravens, they've been a very.
- 28:23I don't want to hear from Fish. Well, we got this guy, we got
- 28:26that guy. You don't have anything like
- 28:28this guy on the Giants. The Ravens have been such a
- 28:30stable organization with two really two positions they've
- 28:32really been lacking have been wide receiver and an edge
- 28:35rusher. They had a couple of good years
- 28:36with Matt Judon. They've had a couple draft picks
- 28:38that have come and gone and done well in the short term and
- 28:40nothing like the liking list in the long term that has.
- 28:43Been they really loved Matt Judon, that's why they let him
- 28:46go. Right.
- 28:47It was only two years now. It wasn't a long term success
- 28:49rate. It was a guy that was injury
- 28:50prone. They had a couple other edge
- 28:51rushers at all field issues and now recently with their drafts.
- 28:54Matt Judon couldn't stop the run.
- 28:56He was A1 dimensional guy. This guy can do everything,
- 29:00everything, everything, and he's a leader.
- 29:03Matt Judon caused trouble in the locker room everywhere he went.
- 29:06Matt Judon caused trouble in the locker room.
- 29:09Errol, I agree with you. I I never liked Judon's game.
- 29:12Judon's so like there's a few guys you can point to that were
- 29:16just these up the field pass rushers that if it was a passing
- 29:19situation, they got some stats, but if you ran the ball at them,
- 29:24they just ran themselves out of the play every time and they
- 29:27were just terrible against the run.
- 29:29And I thought Judon for most of that, you know, like Ravens
- 29:32tenure, he was one of those guys who had lots of sacks but bad
- 29:36PFF scores because he didn't. And then he had a couple of good
- 29:39years in there, but he he was kind of like an empty stats
- 29:43guys, a little overrated. I thought Crosby does
- 29:46everything. Minter is no fool.
- 29:48I don't care if there's no first round pick that you're going to
- 29:51get in the prime of his career that can do a Crosby does.
- 29:54In fact, there aren't two of them.
- 29:55So that's why they gave two of them for this guy.
- 29:58Now, if I'm a Raiders fan, I'm a little pissed off that I have to
- 30:01pay his salary. That's all the guaranteed money
- 30:04left and have to give them up. I think that's crazy.
- 30:08I, I don't, I guess that was the deal to get to 1st.
- 30:11You had to pay his entire salary.
- 30:12I don't know. I think I'd probably take a
- 30:14first and a second and make them pay.
- 30:16I think that's kind of crazy. Unless they're just like, well,
- 30:18whatever, we're going to suck anyway.
- 30:19What might as well pay now, you know, but that's such a
- 30:22defeatist thing. Speedy, I I wanted you to think
- 30:25about this one. It's an offensive coach in
- 30:27Kubiak. Screw the defensive players,
- 30:30He's an offensive coordinator. Give me the toys.
- 30:32Give me the first round picks. You know they're taking a
- 30:34receiver now with that other first round pick.
- 30:36It's going to be either the Arizona State kid or Lemon from
- 30:40USC. If Tates not there or they
- 30:42decide Tate drops maybe to the back half that but what if tape
- 30:46drops to like he's not 8 or 9? Tate's not going further than.
- 30:508:00 What if I. He's not going.
- 30:51For so so say he's sitting there at 8 and you've got fourteen in
- 30:54the first pick of the second round, it's not a terrible thing
- 30:59to offer. And if you really want that guy,
- 31:02and I think it's real interesting what they're going
- 31:03to do, but I bet it's going to be a crazy offensive draft for
- 31:06them, but they're going to be really, really bad.
- 31:09On You know who Tate You know, and I'll say this, you know who
- 31:12Tate reminds me of? George Pickens.
- 31:13I've been watching Tate and his game and George Pickens.
- 31:17They're very, they're big guys. They're guys that'll go out
- 31:20there and get the ball. They have very strong hands.
- 31:23They're accurate. Tate can be acrobatic.
- 31:26He reminds me. Tate reminds me of a George
- 31:28Pickens. Now we'll see if he can develop.
- 31:30George Pickens was a second round draft pick.
- 31:32He could have been a first round draft pick, but because going
- 31:34into the draft, he was injury. He was injured.
- 31:37He fell to the second round to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 31:40Tate is not falling past the top 10.
- 31:42There's no way in hell he's too good for him him to fall.
- 31:45I know a lot of people don't want to believe it and they're
- 31:47saying, well, what makes him so good?
- 31:49He only ran a 4-5. I'm telling you right now, this
- 31:52guy is better than what his combine showed.
- 31:55Odell Beckham. He didn't have a great combine.
- 31:57Look how elusive and how explosive he was when he was
- 32:01drafted by the New York Giants. So I know everybody's going to
- 32:04perceive to think that oh, well, he's not this and he's not that,
- 32:08or maybe he's not as as fast as this guy.
- 32:10But guess what? We've seen this many, many times
- 32:13in the combine. The combine doesn't sell the
- 32:15player. The player sells the player.
- 32:17So that's all I'm going to say about that.
- 32:19I, I know everybody doesn't want to believe that Tate has
- 32:21anything or anywhere close to the talent that we've seen a lot
- 32:26of Ohio State Buckeye wide receivers come out of coming out
- 32:29of the draft were as good or better than he was.
- 32:33This guy might be as good as any one of them.
- 32:36They thought Harrison, Marvin Harrison junior was going to be
- 32:40such a great player. They said this guy was going to
- 32:42be as good or even better than his dad.
- 32:45And Marvin Harrison senior was one of the greatest wide
- 32:48receivers of all time. And so far we haven't seen
- 32:51anything. Yes, he's playing for Arizona.
- 32:53Yes, he had to deal with the third, the third person look
- 32:56alike, Kyla Murray. So we'll see how he reacts with
- 33:00a new quarterback and a new head coach.
- 33:02I, I mean, there, there's a lot of questions right now with
- 33:06Tate, but again, going back to the whole Crosby thing, Crosby
- 33:09is different. He's unique, he's special.
- 33:12And I, I just think if I was a Ravens fan, I'm laughing to the
- 33:16bank. I am laughing to the bank right
- 33:18now. You have two rookie coaches and
- 33:20you have one that a lot of people think is going to be so
- 33:23special because coming from the charges to one of the best young
- 33:26defensive coiners in all of the NFL.
- 33:29Two years back-to-back years with Jim Harbaugh.
- 33:31Now he goes over there to the Ravens taking over his brother's
- 33:34job. Think about it.
- 33:36If anybody doesn't know, he took over for his brother, Jim
- 33:39Harbaugh's brother and he goes over there with the Ravens.
- 33:42Now he gets Max Crosby as a consolation prize.
- 33:44I mean, what a prize? That's a, that's a gift, that's
- 33:47a Christmas gift, a birthday gift, a Valentine's Day gift.
- 33:51And I don't know, I, I guess an Easter gift because it's right
- 33:53around the corner. I, I mean everything actually,
- 33:55Saint Patty's gift too. So if he wants a parade, he
- 33:59should be parading and, and cheering over there in Raven
- 34:02Ravenville, because Lamar Jackson has his, has his coach
- 34:06that he wants. He doesn't have to deal with
- 34:08John Harbaugh's crap. And guess what?
- 34:10Every team that has to go over there, Baltimore, which is very
- 34:13hard to beat, has to contend with this guy in Max Crosby.
- 34:16Yeah, they have stars on their defense already.
- 34:18They just had a couple holes to. Fill they have the best safety
- 34:20in. Football now they're the best
- 34:22safety in football. They have a top three middle
- 34:23linebacker in football and they have really good defensive
- 34:26interior defensive guys too. They just really need that edge
- 34:28guy, you know it's. Crazy guys.
- 34:29You know, it's crazy. We mentioned all these great,
- 34:30talented players that they have, the Ravens have, and what were
- 34:34they ranked defensively last year?
- 34:35Very low because they didn't lack.
- 34:37They lacked key positions like edge rusher and corner, and now
- 34:39they have the edge rusher. Because they have a good corner,
- 34:41too. Yeah, they have a bunch of good.
- 34:42Second edge rushers, the young guys, but they had never had a
- 34:44number one for a long. Time the Raiders are.
- 34:46I mean, the Ravens aren't done and they still have money, and I
- 34:49think they'll add a veteran corner.
- 34:51There's a couple of good veteran corners out there.
- 34:53How about this? I don't know if Woolen is still
- 34:57available, but if he is, I don't know what he's going to get in
- 35:01the open market. I don't know what the Ravens
- 35:03have still left, but don't be surprised if the Ravens make a
- 35:07move or make a pitch to Woolen to come over there and play as
- 35:10their number one corner over there with the Baltimore Ravens.
- 35:14Jamie Lee in the comment section.
- 35:15Ravens will line a shot. Yeah.
- 35:16They're still good though. I think they'll they'll be fine.
- 35:18They need receiver. That's what they got to fix
- 35:19next. They're going to draft one in
- 35:21the second or third round, so they have a second round pick
- 35:24and Lemon could fall into the second round.
- 35:26If they want to move up they can get Lemon and Lemon would be
- 35:29Flowers is in the number one. We're going to find out right
- 35:32now on the Whip around whip. Whip, whip around.
- 35:41Mike Evans went to the San Francisco 49ers, who are
- 35:45apparently restarting their whole receiver situation over
- 35:49there. Iuke's gone.
- 35:51We know that. It looks like Jawan Jennings is
- 35:53going to be gone now as well. They signed Mike Evans three
- 35:56years 60 + 1,000,000 dollars, but likely it's more of of a two
- 36:01year deal. We just need to get this music
- 36:03down, Tommy. All right, The Chiefs signed
- 36:07Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker to 3rd and the Panthers gave the
- 36:14guy who the Eagles got at the trade deadline, Jalen Phillips,
- 36:17a massive free agent contract. If you remember, he was on the
- 36:21Dolphins before traded mid season.
- 36:23Panthers trying to make a real run and make the defense as good
- 36:27as that offense. All right, I'll go with the
- 36:29Panthers first. Jaylen Phillips is a great
- 36:31player. He's a good pass rusher.
- 36:32I I understand why they brought him in.
- 36:34They had a very good defense last year, explosive in the
- 36:37second, in the second-half of the season.
- 36:39There are not many better defenses than the Carolina
- 36:41Panthers. Now you add another defensive
- 36:43line lineman as good as Jaylen Phillips on the other side of
- 36:47the ball. You can move him around on that
- 36:48line. You can move him on the left and
- 36:50you move him on the right. He's explosive.
- 36:52I like this move for the Panthers.
- 36:54I what was the deal? What did they pay him?
- 36:56That's what I want to know because.
- 36:58It's like it's four years, 120. That's a lot of money.
- 37:01That's a lot of it's. Like 80, it's like 80 something
- 37:03guaranteed. It's a huge deal.
- 37:05It's a lot of money for a guy like Jalen Phillips who some
- 37:09people say was pushing his way out of Miami.
- 37:11If you didn't like it. And again, Miami was not playing
- 37:15well, they weren't a good team. They weren't.
- 37:17They were winning up. They were up and down.
- 37:18Mike McDaniel is a good coach, but he didn't want to play there
- 37:21anymore. He didn't like the locker room.
- 37:22Now what happens if he doesn't like the Panthers locker room?
- 37:25We've seen the Panthers fire coach within a year and now he's
- 37:28the head. He's the head offensive
- 37:29coordinator for the New York Jets and Frank Wright.
- 37:31So I, I just, I don't know if Jalen Phillips, I would have
- 37:35overpaid for it. Now we'll see how that works.
- 37:38Mike Evans, explosive great player, veteran a little up
- 37:43there in age. He's 3031 years old getting a
- 37:46three-year extension. He's injury prone over the last
- 37:49two seasons. He missed a significant portion
- 37:52last year. Now if he stays healthy, he's a
- 37:55slam dunk. He's one of the best red zone
- 37:57wide receivers in all of the NFL.
- 37:59He's a Hall of Famer. We understand that San Francisco
- 38:02was looking for that number one target for Brock Birdie.
- 38:04It didn't work out with Iuke. They've decided to part ways
- 38:07with a bunch of offensive weapons over the last couple of
- 38:09years because they didn't want to overpay them.
- 38:12You overpay a guy that's over 30.
- 38:14I, I don't know if I like this move because they gave him 20
- 38:18something $1,000,000 for a guy that's over the age of 30.
- 38:22I I don't know if that's going to work.
- 38:24We'll see if he could stay. If he stays healthy and he stays
- 38:27and he plays 1314 games, it's a slam dunk for Brock Purdy in
- 38:31this San Francisco 49ers. It sounds like it's a reach
- 38:34because this is Kyle Shanahan's big time year.
- 38:37They did make the playoffs last year.
- 38:38They lost. They didn't have they were not
- 38:40healthy on the defensive side of the ball.
- 38:41Robert Solid goes to Tennessee. Watch how how that fails.
- 38:45But the fact here is this is Kyle Shanahan's year.
- 38:48If this team does not go where it needs to go, and that's
- 38:51really to a Super Bowl and be a contender, I I would say Kyle
- 38:55Shanahan's out. And as far as the Chiefs are
- 38:57concerned, they didn't want to make a move at the trade
- 39:00deadline for a Breeze Hall. They didn't want to give up 1/3
- 39:03when they were offering a fourth.
- 39:05They go off Kenneth, go after Kenneth Walker.
- 39:07Kenneth Walker is a great explosive wide running back.
- 39:10We saw what he did in the playoffs.
- 39:12We saw what he did in the Super Bowl.
- 39:13I what he did Super Bowl MVP. He was sensational.
- 39:17He ran the ball like a man man. Remember, he's a running back.
- 39:21He's 28 years old. He's got maybe 2 good years at
- 39:25best and he's also injury prone. Kenneth Walker does not stay
- 39:29healthy. He really is not a last year was
- 39:32the first time I could say that throughout the second-half of
- 39:34the season. When he came back it was
- 39:36Chabernet that got hurt and Walker was the one that stayed
- 39:39healthy and really ran his ass off.
- 39:41I don't know if I trust Kenneth Walker to stay healthy and I
- 39:46don't know what was the deal. Three years, 45.
- 39:48That's a lot of money. So Errol, it's the richest
- 39:50guaranteed contract for an A running back in NFL history.
- 39:5428.7 Of that 45 is fully guaranteed.
- 39:58You want me to ask answer your quick question.
- 40:01Kenneth Walker and Breece Hall were drafted in the same draft.
- 40:03Breece Hall was drafted in front of Kenneth Walker.
- 40:06He was the second running back drafted in that draft.
- 40:09Both of them are sensational players.
- 40:11I if, if you would ask me right now, I would have just given The
- 40:15Jets the third round draft pick and paid Breece Hall one.
- 40:19I'll tell you why. Breece Hall, as much as he has
- 40:21more talk on his knee, Breece Hall has been fairly healthy his
- 40:25whole career with the New York Jets.
- 40:27A lot more healthier than Kenneth Walker.
- 40:29I would bet on Breece Hall. And that's the type of back that
- 40:34a guy like the Chiefs and Andy re like Kenneth Walker.
- 40:38I'm not saying Kenneth Walker doesn't fit there.
- 40:40I just think I, I don't know if I trust the fact that Kenneth
- 40:44Walker is the guy that's going to take me to that, to that next
- 40:47level. I, I think it's highly paid,
- 40:49highly paid contract. I think it's a bad move for the
- 40:52Chiefs. That's just my opinion.
- 40:54Either I think they're waiting on a spike of of the salary cap.
- 40:57That's why I think they gave it to him early on and he
- 40:58guarantees pretty high three-year deal yeah I think
- 41:01only two of them you're going to see really peak years.
- 41:02Maybe Andy read a? One I think 1.
- 41:05After that as far as the 49ers of Mike Evans, I agree.
- 41:08I I was very puzzled by that move because he feels Kyle has
- 41:11scan Shanahan's scheme is really a lot of yards after catch guys,
- 41:14a lot of these quicker shifty your guys not as much the Mike
- 41:17Evans type. So I'm curious how that's going
- 41:19to work in that scheme at that price.
- 41:20I'm not crazy about it. I do like Jalen Phillips a lot.
- 41:22You pay for potential Panthers I mentioned are going to make
- 41:24splash zone defense. They had a really good.
- 41:26Draft, I'm going to tell you this.
- 41:27Out of all three, all three signings, I I would say I like
- 41:32the Phillips. Out of all of them, I don't
- 41:34like. I would agree with you.
- 41:35Speedy Mike Evans doesn't fit Kenneth Walker.
- 41:38It makes sense, but he really got paid for what he did in the
- 41:40playoffs last year. I don't trust that he's going to
- 41:43stay healthy. So the only one that I really
- 41:45liked was Jalen Phillips, but we'll see how he works in that
- 41:48locker. Room.
- 41:48I worry about Phillips, too. He's had more injuries than both
- 41:50of those guys. He's had an Achilles, a knee.
- 41:53I mean, this is a guy that's the only reason he kind of fell off
- 41:55a little bit of Miami in the first place, in my opinion.
- 41:57You know, it's really interesting to see how that's
- 41:59going to. Let's go to the New York teams
- 42:01though, Errol. Let's start with The Jets.
- 42:03We got a whole bunch of moves. Mogi went defense.
- 42:08So here's the list of the moves today.
- 42:10First, they start the day off trading a seventh round pick to
- 42:14Miami for Minka Fitzpatrick to play safety or whatever you want
- 42:19to call the the nickel, whatever thing he's going to do. 3 year,
- 42:22$40 million extension on the spot.
- 42:25They signed defensive end from that vaunted Cincinnati defense
- 42:29last year, Joseph Osai. They gave him 12 million a year,
- 42:3322.5 guaranteed over three years.
- 42:36Then they brought back an old friend, Demario Davis, 2 year,
- 42:40$22 million, fifteen guaranteed. He's I think 35 or so.
- 42:46Obviously he's been on the team multiple times, but not in a
- 42:49while. Got a very good stretch with the
- 42:51Saints the last eight years and then they signed Kingsley Anag
- 42:57Bare, who's an edge rusher that kind of was in the rotation with
- 43:01the Packers even one year, 10 million to be kind of like that
- 43:04change of pace guy Errol, how do you like some of these moves?
- 43:08Obviously we know Bruce Hall and the Devandre sweat trade or.
- 43:11The first of all, the contracts were perfect for Moji.
- 43:15So on a Barre they signed up for one year, 10 million.
- 43:18It's a make a break year for him.
- 43:19He's a good player. I know speedy was talking about
- 43:21him. He liked him on the Green Bay
- 43:23Packers didn't get to play a lot last year because of Micah
- 43:26Parsons and and some of the other players that they're on
- 43:28the defensive side of the ball. So he's going to get a chance to
- 43:31start this year on the other side, left or right side,
- 43:35depending on where they stick him And, and Osaya, right, it's
- 43:39Osaya. Osaya is a he.
- 43:41He's a good pass rusher too. He can get out the ball too.
- 43:44So that what The Jets are trying to do.
- 43:45Obviously, we know Aaron Glenn didn't think that this defensive
- 43:48line was that good. And I don't think The Jets are
- 43:50done to. Mario Davis is a slam dunk, slam
- 43:53dunk. You sign up two years,
- 43:5415,000,000, you're not overpaying.
- 43:56He's a leader. You saw what he did with the
- 43:58Saints. Everywhere he's gone ever since
- 44:01he left The Jets. He was a pro ball player and
- 44:03elite player at his position. You bring leadership over there.
- 44:07I sure would need that leadership.
- 44:09They lost it with CJ Mosley, who retired this past year.
- 44:13I just, I like this move, I really do.
- 44:16And Mika Fitzpatrick, slam dunk if he stays healthy to get him
- 44:20for a three-year, $40 million contract and only give up a
- 44:23seventh round draft pick, it's a steal.
- 44:25He's one of the top five safeties in the league.
- 44:27When he's healthy. You could put him, you could put
- 44:29him in plug, plug them in any position in the secondary.
- 44:32He could play corner. He came into the league as a
- 44:34corner or he could play safety. He could play multiple positions
- 44:37if need be. And again, The Jets have been
- 44:40looking for a safety, a star safety for many, many years.
- 44:44In the last five years, they they brought Raven players in,
- 44:47they brought free agents in. They've drafted players, hasn't
- 44:50worked. Mika Fitzpatrick, if he stays
- 44:52healthy, he's a dunk, a slam dunk.
- 44:55So I like all the moves. And guess what?
- 44:58Moji still has a ton of money to spend.
- 45:00He didn't overpay any of these guys but Mika Fitzpatrick.
- 45:04I think Barry was lost in that rotation, especially as they got
- 45:07Parsons and even Jamie Lee's boy Lucas Van Nest actually playing
- 45:10pretty well last year before Parsons got hurt and so he was
- 45:12lost in the rotation. But good versatile guy.
- 45:14I definitely like that. Demario Davis.
- 45:15We talked about Levante Davis longevity all the time.
- 45:17His has been very good as well with the Saints. 35 years old,
- 45:20like you're saying, was still playing at a very high level and
- 45:22make a Fitzpatrick. That's an absolute bargain for a
- 45:24seventh round pick and you're getting Miami to take on most of
- 45:27their remaining contract after that, a lot of leeway for him
- 45:29with The Jets having questions at at other defensive back
- 45:32spots. He can play everywhere.
- 45:33Just play the game plan like Aaron Glenn likes to do.
- 45:35And you know what The Jets are going to do, The Jets are going
- 45:37to go after corner in this draft one way or another.
- 45:39They're going to get a number one guy.
- 45:41They drafted the kid from Florida State the year before.
- 45:43So I I think they're going to solidify that defensive side of
- 45:46the ball. I still think they could bring a
- 45:48veteran corner to help about and I maybe they bring in another
- 45:51safety. The Jets aren't done and they
- 45:54didn't overpay for any of these guys.
- 45:56They really didn't. Moji looks like a genius right
- 45:59now. He's got a ton of draft picks
- 46:01and he's solidifying that defensive side of the ball,
- 46:03which they had problems all season last year, especially in
- 46:06the second-half of the season getting at the quarterback.
- 46:08I love the moves. I think they're great for the
- 46:10New York Jets. So like that Mosley when they
- 46:13lost him, I was like, I don't think you realize how much
- 46:15that's going to hurt. Aaron Glenn realized this past
- 46:18season what it was like to not have a real like play calling
- 46:21middle linebacker who's the 1st order of business, right?
- 46:24So let's talk about a team that also needs a play calling middle
- 46:27linebacker. They may start looking in the
- 46:30draft for that is what the rumor is.
- 46:32Let's get into the Giants move today.
- 46:34Al Harbaugh went back to the Ravens and grabbed a couple of
- 46:38guys. Isaiah Likely was given a
- 46:40three-year, $40 million deal to be the number one tight end for
- 46:45the New York Giants. He's obviously more of a pass
- 46:47catching H or off ball tight end, really kind of a big slot.
- 46:52Obviously good hands has struggled to stay healthy in the
- 46:54past. The Giants then gave what I
- 46:56think is not as much money as people were expecting, gave
- 46:59Jermaine Aluminor a three-year, 39,000,026 guaranteed to stay at
- 47:05right tackle. That's kind of low for a right
- 47:07tackle that's as good as him. And then we talked about this
- 47:10couple weeks ago. Joe Shane loves those Buffalo
- 47:12guys, while he drafted Tremaine Edmonds.
- 47:14Tremaine Edmonds is that play calling middle linebacker for
- 47:18the Giants, three years, 36,000,024 guaranteed.
- 47:22But the best player the Giants got is an All Pro Errol, they
- 47:26got an all Pro and made him the richest punter in history.
- 47:30Jordan Stout, the former Ravens punter is brought over by
- 47:35Harbaugh. A couple other things.
- 47:37Nothing crazy. Chris Man Hertz 3 signs to be a
- 47:39blocking tight end. So for all you Giant fans, you
- 47:43just heard a giant fan come out and excited about a punter.
- 47:47Think about that. That's what the giant fan is
- 47:50excited about, a punter. Edmonds is a nice signing.
- 47:54A three-year, 30, that's a little, that's large, that's a
- 47:58lot of money for a guy that is at the tail end of his career.
- 48:02Again, Illuminor, that's that's a slam dunk.
- 48:04They needed him back. They brought a right tackle
- 48:06back. He was as good as any, any
- 48:08player on that, that offensive line last year, especially when
- 48:11Thomas came back. So I, I like that move.
- 48:14I, I just think that the giants don't have a lot of money and
- 48:17they're, what they're doing is they're going to do whatever
- 48:19they can to add pieces that make sense.
- 48:21The Isaiah likely just tells you how bad Joe Shane is when it
- 48:24comes to drafting tight ends or any offensive talent out there
- 48:29because they, he drafted, since he's been here, he's drafted 2
- 48:32tight ends and now you go out there in free agency and bring
- 48:35in a tight end from the Ravens and give him an, give him a nice
- 48:38big extension and money. It just shows you that Joe Shane
- 48:42is probably looking looking back and looking at his ass because
- 48:45it's almost on on his way out. Let's not forget he also traded
- 48:49for a guy named Darren Waller, who retired after.
- 48:51That's another one. That's another one.
- 48:53That's three. I'm sorry, 33 tight ends and
- 48:57he's been there. How long?
- 48:583-4 years. This is year 4 going into Year 5
- 49:01for him. So he's got.
- 49:02So this is the fourth tight end he's had going into Year 5.
- 49:06Great. Joe Shea looks like an absolute
- 49:09genius. Yeah, it seems like a little bit
- 49:10of a stretch for a guy that had flashes of the number 2 tight
- 49:13end, pretty much. And like Mark Andrews gets hurt,
- 49:15all right. He has some flashes here and
- 49:17there, but never really put it together on a consistent basis.
- 49:20And you're giving him that much money?
- 49:21Speedy, are you this? Are you excited like fishes
- 49:23about this punter? He's a good punter, but again,
- 49:25it's a punter. We'll see.
- 49:26Oh. My God, look at his.
- 49:28Punter, can you control the field?
- 49:30Daryl control the field. You got to win the 2 phases.
- 49:33Are you going to need? To I would be more excited about
- 49:35the fact that the Giants. Need to definitely going to need
- 49:38to. I would be.
- 49:38Encouraged to see if he could become a kicker at this point
- 49:41because the Giants are the worst kicker season I probably ever
- 49:43seen. I've never, never seen anybody
- 49:45get so excited about a kicker. Oh my God, we, we just signed
- 49:48the best kicker punter in all of the NFL.
- 49:52Oh my God, let's go crazy. I guess I have a sportsman and a
- 49:55former punter later on tonight too.
- 49:57I guess I'm into punting today. Let's punt on this topic and get
- 50:02to a guy. It's reunited and I feel so
- 50:05good. Day Bowl and Juan Dale reunite
- 50:09with Sayla in Nashville. Yes, we wondered what the
- 50:14contract was going to be for Wandale Robinson.
- 50:17Four years, 78,000,019.5 season, just under half of its gap.
- 50:25Fully IS had some success with Dabel.
- 50:29He loves Dabel I guess. I think he loves 20 million a
- 50:33year bet more than he loves Dabel.
- 50:35Obviously. He came off his first 1000 yard
- 50:37season after neighbors was hurt. He was the only professional
- 50:39receiver probably playing on that roster.
- 50:42He got a lot of targets, a little bit of an overpay here.
- 50:46Absolutely. Now I like Wandale Robertson.
- 50:48I thought he had a great season last year.
- 50:50He was the number one target for your guy, Mr. Jackson Dart and
- 50:53Jackson Darts going to miss him and we'll see.
- 50:55What are the Giants go in the draft this year?
- 50:57Do they go wide receiver? Do they find a Wandale Robertson
- 51:00like type of player? Those guys, again, it took him a
- 51:04while to figure it out and this was also another Joe Shane guy
- 51:07that finally developed in the tail end of his contract.
- 51:11Again, we look and we go back at some of the dumb things Joe
- 51:14Shane has done and this might be the dumbest I would have found.
- 51:18I would have figured out a way to bring Wandale Robinson back
- 51:20because it would have made Jackson Dart happy.
- 51:22You have Malik neighbors coming back and we don't know how
- 51:25healthy he's going to be in the first half of the season.
- 51:28Now Wandale Robinson going to Tennessee.
- 51:30It's very, it's to me, it's just very funny to think that Wandale
- 51:34Robinson goes to a guy like Dabo, who by the way, didn't a
- 51:38lot of the players, a lot of the offensive side of the ball
- 51:40players did not like Dabel, but Dabel's the only idiot that
- 51:44would actually pay Wanda Robinson the $78,000,000 that he
- 51:48wanted. I'm going to tell you this is
- 51:49going to be absolutely smack the Tennessee Titans and Robert AKA
- 51:54Bambi Sala in the face. This is a dumb move for them.
- 51:58This is an organization that's reaching on a player.
- 52:01I understand they have a young quarterback that they they hope
- 52:04to develop and Ward, I love him too.
- 52:06I think he's a sensational quarterback, but you you get an
- 52:09underside, undersized wide receiver at that position, it's
- 52:14going to smack him right back in the.
- 52:15Face Yeah, they've had a bad track record of wide receivers
- 52:18for a long time, even though a lot of their good teams, too,
- 52:20that was always their weakest part of their team.
- 52:22So what have we seen the track record of?
- 52:23All right, let's go draft Corey Davis a fifth overall and think
- 52:26he was good. Then they go pay Calvin Ridley a
- 52:29few years ago, a year after he suspended for a whole season
- 52:31because of a gambling charge. Now you're overpaying for a guy
- 52:33that's small, limited in his routes, drops the ball a lot,
- 52:37and you're going to trust that to work as a second guy next to
- 52:40Ridley if Ridley's even healthy? Yeah, good luck with that.
- 52:42Trying to get that kind of thing to work $19,000,000 a year.
- 52:45I was saying now don't go after 15 of what Shakira got for a
- 52:48slot receiver. Yeah, that's a big overpay.
- 52:50I like Corey Davis. I thought he was going to be
- 52:52good. That was why that. #5 Overall in
- 52:54that draft, yeah, that was. Nobody was in the.
- 52:57Place to go that high? Let's talk about another guy who
- 52:59went pretty high in the draft that's now a $99 million dead
- 53:05cap hit on the Dolphins spread over 2 years.
- 53:09Yes, we're talking about Tua Tagovayaloa after it was cut
- 53:13with immediately signed a one year minimum contract with the
- 53:16Atlanta Falcons to back up I guess Michael Pennix junior to
- 53:20serve as the other left-handed quarterback for the team.
- 53:24To be insurance for the other left-handed injury prone
- 53:26quarterback. Well, I mean, they're making a
- 53:29big deal out. And he was 02 lefties on the
- 53:30same team. Like, of course, the right
- 53:32tackle is the blind side. They want to get a lefty.
- 53:34I think that's very complicated. But the big thing here is Miami,
- 53:38with that dead cap, pivoted and then gave Malik Willis the
- 53:42Packers back up last year, three years, $67.5 million contract to
- 53:49be their starting quarterback. Please.
- 53:51Malik Willis. Why?
- 53:53Because they have a coach right now from the Green Bay Packers
- 53:55and AGM from the Green Bay Packers.
- 53:57This is a horrible move for Miami.
- 54:00You're going to bet on Malik Willis, who was, what, a third
- 54:02or fourth round draft pick when he was drafted?
- 54:05The guy has a great arm. He looked half decent when he
- 54:09played the Bears last year. He's not a good quarterback.
- 54:12You're going to pay him $68 million.
- 54:14Good luck on that. They threw money into A and by
- 54:16the way, Matt Ryan, who doesn't think Michael Pennix is the
- 54:20quarterback or he thinks that Michael Pennix could be a guy
- 54:24that he could move in the future.
- 54:26How about this? You bring into a Tiger violola.
- 54:29I mean, Tua Taga Viola, that's who he brought in.
- 54:32That's his big move. What a joke.
- 54:35Matt Ryan, who's a quarterback, Mr. Golden God himself went out
- 54:39there and threw Michael Pennix under the bus saying that he
- 54:43might not be his quarterback. And then you bring it to her and
- 54:46then you'll like her cousins go. What a joke.
- 54:49Matt Ryan's going to last no more than five years over there
- 54:52as a as a, as the president of the organization.
- 54:54He doesn't know what the hell he's doing.
- 54:55He didn't know what he was doing as an analyst on CBS and he
- 54:58definitely doesn't know what he's doing.
- 55:00Run an organization. He's in over his head.
- 55:02Arthur, what is it? Arthur Blank.
- 55:04The only blanks he's going to be shooting is Matt Ryan.
- 55:08Yeah, like I said, you're. Basically didn't get that right
- 55:11over his head. Right over his head.
- 55:13Shoot Blikes. You're actually depicting my
- 55:16endo, actually depicting a lot of what to his throws look like.
- 55:18I love Lisa, unfortunately, and you're getting him on a
- 55:20downturn. I guess a one year deal.
- 55:21You're trying to prove, I guess Kevin Stefanski, he already
- 55:23said, all right, I have the challenge of coaching Dylan
- 55:25Gabriel last year. I would go on for two other left
- 55:28left-handed quarterbacks that obviously more talented.
- 55:30Gabriel does, but you get injury risk.
- 55:32It's the same kind of thing. You would think for panics
- 55:33coming off the injury you'd want a guy with a little more
- 55:35insurance and going you're going after 2O as all this history of
- 55:38concussions and leg. Injuries, speed.
- 55:40You probably shoot blanks. If you saw Lisa Ann, he wouldn't
- 55:42even know what to do with him. They wouldn't know what to do
- 55:45with her, right? That's he's the Lisa Anne
- 55:48expert. Well, yes, but I'm talking about
- 55:50you. I'm like this 20 to 20. 1000 no
- 55:54expert in seeing a woman. Okay, what is there an expert to
- 55:58see? Not what Nathans doing.
- 56:00Okay, on to the next. All right, let's get into the
- 56:03Indianapolis Colts. Make her squirt.
- 56:05Make me jerk. So two things with the Colts.
- 56:08The big one, they resigned wide receiver Alec Pierce to a record
- 56:13contract as far as guaranteed money for a wide receiver, which
- 56:16seems interesting. I didn't realize he was a top
- 56:19five wide receiver in the league, but had a great year
- 56:21last year. Breakout with Daniel Jones.
- 56:23Obviously a deep ball threat can stretch the field.
- 56:26And then they also traded longtime linebacker Zaire
- 56:29Franklin to the Packers for defensive tackle Colby Wooden in
- 56:33a player for player deal. Franklin had slipped a little
- 56:36bit but has been a mainstay. One of the better linebackers in
- 56:39the league for a while. Wooden.
- 56:41By far the Packers best run stopping nose tackle, something
- 56:44that the Colts really struggled with.
- 56:46I love them. I love the move for both the
- 56:49Colts and the Packers because they needed to solidify both
- 56:52positions. They get a run stopping a guy at
- 56:55the line. At the Colts, especially the
- 56:57second-half of the season after Daniel Jones went down, they
- 57:00needed a guy, They needed somebody to plug up the middle.
- 57:03They had problems with that. Now they bring in a guy and
- 57:05Franklin, who's been a mainstead over there with the Colts, he's
- 57:08a very good defensive player. He goes over there to the
- 57:10Packers and I think he's going to be a pretty good player.
- 57:13I think he'll be the the big move here is Alex Pierce going
- 57:18back to the Colts. A lot of people thought it Alex
- 57:20Pierce was a great number two, number three type of guy.
- 57:23He could be 1000 yard guy it depending on who the wide
- 57:26receiver. I mean the quarterback is.
- 57:28We don't know what Daniel Jones is going to be next year.
- 57:30We'll see who they're going to bring in a veteran.
- 57:32Maybe they bring in AI don't know.
- 57:34One of those guys that are available maybe at Kyla Murray
- 57:37because we've heard Kyla Murray wants to go over there to the
- 57:39Colts. How's that going to work with
- 57:41some of the weapons that they have over there?
- 57:42But I somebody's going to go over there and I think Alex
- 57:46Pierce and and and, and obviously Taylor and all the
- 57:49weapons that they have, this is a good offensive team.
- 57:52The question is do they have the weapons and they have enough
- 57:56defense, especially in the secondary next year, that's
- 57:59going to get them into the playoffs.
- 58:00Yeah, the Colts have always been a factory of linebackers, and
- 58:02they know when to get rid of them.
- 58:03We've seen them do that with Darius Leonard and he went to
- 58:05the Eagles later on and had to retire and oh, karaoke was a
- 58:09cult of them became a giant. So I think they're they're
- 58:12probably knowing that they could just have that kind of system
- 58:14work. But again, I'm surprised that
- 58:16they wouldn't have tried a little more of the positions.
- 58:17They need more. They have two good, good
- 58:19defensive tackle. They're not done.
- 58:21Buckner was hurt most of the year.
- 58:22So that was a big reason why they struggled.
- 58:24Later, you make it seem like the Colts had done They have money
- 58:27and they could still go after all the pieces.
- 58:29There's a lot of players still available.
- 58:31Actually there's probably 5 or 6 that are game changing players
- 58:34that are still out there. Yeah, they need edges,
- 58:36definitely. I think they need to figure that
- 58:37out. Hendrickson, Yep, that could
- 58:39definitely be an option for them.
- 58:40Pierce is an interesting move. A lot of in guaranteed money.
- 58:43I like the player because they don't have another big bodied
- 58:46receiver on that team. They have a lot of these shifty
- 58:47or like Josh Downs, a lot of those types.
- 58:50Obviously they traded away Mitchell but still have Ashton
- 58:52Doolin. But they needed the big body
- 58:54guys that little pricey maybe, but again, they wanted to keep
- 58:57him happy with the guarantee. Well, the reason why they don't
- 58:59have a big body guy Speedy is you didn't mention him because
- 59:02he's gone now. He went to Pittsburgh.
- 59:03They traded Michael Pittman for a late round pick swap to the
- 59:08Steelers. The Steelers gave him a pretty
- 59:10big extension there. Let's see where what we got 3 or
- 59:1459 million to play opposite DK Metcalf.
- 59:18Don't really know what's going to happen in the darkness with
- 59:20Aaron Rodgers. That's what happened to Pittman.
- 59:25They traded Michael Pittman. He wasn't worth very much.
- 59:27What a. What a what a dumb organization
- 59:30now that that I didn't hear about this.
- 59:32They couldn't afford, so that was the thing.
- 59:34They couldn't afford to give Pierce the extension and still
- 59:37have Pittman on the roster. Mike McCarthy is going to have
- 59:41weapons next year. I would bring Aaron Rodgers
- 59:44back. You have Michael Pittman on one
- 59:46side and DK Metcalf on the other and a great running game.
- 59:49This offense is going to be so explosive next year.
- 59:51Aaron Rodgers would be licking his lips.
- 59:53He'd have probably the best weapons he's ever had with the
- 59:56Green Bay Packers. I mean, who, what was his best
- 59:58weapons over there? Jordy Nelson.
- 1:00:00I mean, I, I'm, I'm honestly shocked Michael Pittman was
- 1:00:04straight. I understand they couldn't
- 1:00:06afford them. But to just trade away your best
- 1:00:09option, your best wide receiver, and just throw them away like
- 1:00:12that makes no sense. Yeah, and I think it compliments
- 1:00:15Metcalf actually pretty well because Metcalf is deep threat
- 1:00:17freak athletic guy. Pittman's much more of the more
- 1:00:21I'll get open quickly but doesn't have as large of a route
- 1:00:23tree when it comes to going deep and stuff like.
- 1:00:24That I didn't even know they got Michael Pittman.
- 1:00:26I didn't even hear about this. And like you're saying, Mike
- 1:00:28McCarthy does well with those bigger slot type of guys.
- 1:00:31Pittman's of a good possession guy you could.
- 1:00:33Put him in the slot and you could put him on the outside.
- 1:00:36He's a great route runner, very underrated, underrated on the
- 1:00:41way he plays this game. I think this is a slam dunk for
- 1:00:44Pittsburgh. Wow, that division is looking
- 1:00:46really, really. Good.
- 1:00:47I don't even think the contract's that bad either.
- 1:00:49It's three years. I mean, yeah, he's had injury
- 1:00:51issues in his career, but he's a guy that still gets open pretty
- 1:00:54quickly you could rely on. Him hard to trust the Colts and
- 1:00:56the Colts are one of those teams are even though they do have
- 1:00:58some cap room, especially the getting removing Pittman in this
- 1:01:01move. They don't have a first round
- 1:01:03pick this year and they don't have a first round pick next
- 1:01:06year because they traded for Sauce Gardner and Sauce Gardner.
- 1:01:09Thank you very much. So it looks like, you know, we
- 1:01:12talked about Max Crosby earlier. Obviously there is a downside.
- 1:01:15If the guy gets hurt, you kind of screw your franchise for the
- 1:01:18next couple of years. Steiken might be looking for a
- 1:01:20new job at the end of this year if he doesn't get this team into
- 1:01:23the playoffs. That's two years in a row and
- 1:01:25you lost Daniel Jones, tore his Achilles and lost your your one
- 1:01:30of your best weapons last year as.
- 1:01:32Record setting deals. There were a few other ones.
- 1:01:35The largest extension for a nose tackle goes to Jordan Davis of
- 1:01:39the Eagles. I mean, that guy's unbelievable
- 1:01:42at football. That's not surprising, the
- 1:01:44Raiders said. We got, we're going to get
- 1:01:46Mendoza, let's get him the best center in all of football.
- 1:01:50They gave Linderbaum the biggest contract the center's ever get
- 1:01:53gotten. And after trading for Mcduffie
- 1:01:56from the Chiefs, the Rams made him the richest corner in
- 1:01:59history as well. I'm not overpaying Mcduffie the
- 1:02:02way they did. I'm sorry.
- 1:02:04As good as Mcduffie is, yes, he's more known as a slot
- 1:02:08cornerback. That's what he is.
- 1:02:10You can put him on the outside. He can defend the top wide
- 1:02:13receiver. I don't know if I'm paying him
- 1:02:15top what? You know, cornerback money when
- 1:02:18he's more known for his slot defense.
- 1:02:21So I I think you they overpaid him.
- 1:02:22Linda Baum, you need him. You're bringing in a rookie
- 1:02:25quarterback. You need a guy that's going to
- 1:02:27be able to protect them, be able to help audible plays and get
- 1:02:29your quarterback comfortable at the position early in his
- 1:02:33career. And you're bringing in a rookie
- 1:02:35coach and Clint. So I think this is a good move
- 1:02:38for them. As far as Jordan Davis, Jordan
- 1:02:41Davis is a great player and I understand everybody calls him a
- 1:02:45beast and everything like that, but he he's on and off.
- 1:02:48Sometimes he disappears in games.
- 1:02:50I'm I'm an Eagles fan, I love the Eagles and I watch Jordan
- 1:02:53Davis sometimes. He's just a, he's as explosive
- 1:02:56as any player in the league, especially on that defensive
- 1:02:59line. To pay him record-breaking money
- 1:03:03is ridiculous because I just don't know.
- 1:03:05Remember, Jordan Davis is a very heavy guy.
- 1:03:07He did lose some weight. He's heavy.
- 1:03:09And remember, he's going to add some torque to that body and
- 1:03:12more injury to his body if he doesn't lose weight in the
- 1:03:15future. He's strong.
- 1:03:16He's sensational. We saw what he did at the
- 1:03:18combine, overpaying him. I think this is a mistake for
- 1:03:21the Eagles. Yeah, it's a little much.
- 1:03:23I think for somebody that's been kind of inconsistent.
- 1:03:25He's obviously very good in run defense and I think he still has
- 1:03:28a good role. Now, obviously the Eagles moved
- 1:03:30on from Milton Williams, so they needed a second guy next to
- 1:03:32Jalen Carter to keep that thing going.
- 1:03:34But they've also drafted him very well too.
- 1:03:35So I'm surprised they would have done it as quickly as they did.
- 1:03:38Maybe if they weighed out the market a little more than maybe
- 1:03:40I would have done it, but yeah, I was a little surprised at
- 1:03:43that, too. They.
- 1:03:43Jumped on this because they know that he's going to want more
- 1:03:46money next year. Yeah.
- 1:03:48And again, it might be a negotiation being attacked for
- 1:03:49Carter, too. Maybe they're trying to pay
- 1:03:50Carter early and they want to keep his teammates.
- 1:03:52How are they going to be able to pay Carter?
- 1:03:54Now I know that they're probably going to have to wait until they
- 1:03:56trade A.J. Brown, which will be an
- 1:03:57interesting development throughout the offseason.
- 1:03:59They already turned down a deal with the Patriots for a first
- 1:04:01and a third round pick, so maybe they think they can get more
- 1:04:03look at. The quarterbacks that they have,
- 1:04:05how they going to pay both of those?
- 1:04:06Guys, yeah, they're going to either have to pay them quickly
- 1:04:09or they're going to have to maybe wait till they're.
- 1:04:10Going to have to trade. One of them maybe there's
- 1:04:13there's definitely options there.
- 1:04:14But you're right, I'm surprised they went that long I guess.
- 1:04:16That's ridiculous. Out of all the guys to sign, you
- 1:04:18gave Jordan Davis that extension, a long time
- 1:04:21extension. He's the most, he's the heaviest
- 1:04:24and to me most injury prone so. Sure.
- 1:04:28As far as Linderbaum, yeah, I think they had to do that.
- 1:04:30The Raiders badly needed help on that offensive line last year,
- 1:04:32especially Jackson Powers. Johnson's another guy.
- 1:04:34We talked about it with some other guys that are better at
- 1:04:36guards than they are at centers. We've seen there would be a
- 1:04:38trend in recent drafts and I think they're going to want to
- 1:04:40do that. Miller's still good.
- 1:04:42This is the big splash they need to Mcduffie.
- 1:04:44They're again, like I've seen with the Chiefs, they're the
- 1:04:45Rams are going to play the market.
- 1:04:47Les needs done a good job with a lot of these bigger contracts in
- 1:04:49the passing managing around him right now, yeah, maybe easy deep
- 1:04:52serving a number one. Right now, no, but I think down
- 1:04:53the road it definitely could be a good deal for a guy that's
- 1:04:55still great on both slot and outside.
- 1:04:57You know, that's like a real thing.
- 1:04:58I've had guys on, you know, his high school level.
- 1:05:01But some guys, they could play tackle and guard, but you put
- 1:05:04the ball in their hand and tell them to snap and then take a
- 1:05:06step and block that. It's like you're asking them to
- 1:05:08like to do tap their head and rub their stomach.
- 1:05:11So anyway, it looks like our guest is in.
- 1:05:13The only other news was Travis at the end, cashed in on his big
- 1:05:18season with the Jaguars and he's going to the Saints on a four
- 1:05:21year, $52 million deal. And typical Saints move right
- 1:05:25there. And OE, who was traded out to
- 1:05:28the Chargers after doing nothing with the Ravens, unlocked by
- 1:05:31Jesse Minter, has an awesome second-half of the year, gets
- 1:05:35100 million from the Commanders after that.
- 1:05:39He hasn't. He's got 68,000,000 guaranteed
- 1:05:42off of that half of a season of production his entire career.
- 1:05:45Errol. Typical, all of it typical
- 1:05:47commanders fashion, throwing away your money and a guy that
- 1:05:51you can't trust. That's one.
- 1:05:53And as far as love, you can shut the music as far as the love
- 1:05:57situation, Everybody thought that the Saints were going to go
- 1:06:00after love. Now you bring in a running back
- 1:06:03now and you over and I think you overpaid for him.
- 1:06:06I, I, I like Travis Etienne. He he's a great running back.
- 1:06:09He really was. He's been great with the
- 1:06:11Jaguars. He's sensational.
- 1:06:13And I, I, I know there's a player that's been on our show
- 1:06:16quite a few times that tells us that his it's his best friend
- 1:06:19foyer Luiken that tells us how how great a friend he is.
- 1:06:22And now he's no longer a Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 1:06:24He's heading over there to the Saints.
- 1:06:26Are they now going to go at 8 with a running back in love?
- 1:06:30Does he fall in the draft now? And, and that's the question
- 1:06:33because everybody I've heard the only team that was really in for
- 1:06:38a running back that high is the Saints.
- 1:06:40Now he could fall. Now let me ask you guys a
- 1:06:42question before we before we get into my Golf Club.
- 1:06:47If The Jets can draft Love at 16, if let's say he falls, do
- 1:06:54you draft him at 16? That's the question because
- 1:06:59you're not keeping Breece Hall. I believe The Jets are going to
- 1:07:02trade him maybe before the draft or after the draft because
- 1:07:05they're not going to extend them.
- 1:07:07Do you you bring in Love at #16? He's by far the best running
- 1:07:11back in his class. Some people say a game changing
- 1:07:13back that probably the best back to come out of the draft over
- 1:07:17the last couple of years. They think he's better than
- 1:07:20Ashton Gente. So very interesting.
- 1:07:23I, I thought he was a nice kid. I was at the Heisman Trophy
- 1:07:25dinner. He was very, very nice, very
- 1:07:27well spoken. He didn't throw anybody,
- 1:07:30especially the Commission or or the NCAA under the bus because I
- 1:07:34thought Notre Dame got absolutely screwed out of a
- 1:07:37chance to win a national championship.
- 1:07:38So I hey, Miami did make it and they did go to a championship
- 1:07:43game, so maybe they weren't wrong.
- 1:07:45But who knows? Maybe Nora Dane goes all the way
- 1:07:47to a national championship. I don't know.
- 1:07:49Love is one of the more dominant forces, one of the more dominant
- 1:07:53running backs we've seen. So very interesting.
- 1:07:55All right, my golf clap of the week.
- 1:07:58This deserves a golf clap. No doubt.
- 1:08:01Golf clap. Golf clap.
- 1:08:04All right, My golf clap of the week.
- 1:08:06I don't know. It could be my do so the week.
- 1:08:08It could be my golf clap of the week.
- 1:08:09It makes no sense. Now Travis Kelsey is getting
- 1:08:13married. He got engaged last year in the
- 1:08:16middle of the year. You saw him get married.
- 1:08:18They had these nice photos in the garden with him and Taylor
- 1:08:21Swift. Maybe he was forced to get
- 1:08:24engaged with her. Some people, including his
- 1:08:26father, said she was pushing them, pushing them, pushing
- 1:08:29them. No, no date has been set for
- 1:08:32their marriage. I'm just saying.
- 1:08:33But there is a date set that he is coming back and it was over
- 1:08:37the last 24 hours as the Kansas City Chiefs give him a one year
- 1:08:42deal worth $12 million for his 14th season.
- 1:08:46This makes no sense. Andy Reed, Okay, I, I don't
- 1:08:50understand it. And Andy Reid's a smart man and
- 1:08:53I understand that Travis Kelsey is a guy that he loves.
- 1:08:56He looks up to this guy's a Hall of Famer.
- 1:08:58He's a special player. He's had problems with him on
- 1:09:01the sideline. How many times have we seen
- 1:09:03fatty Andy Reid yelling at him, maybe telling him, how many big
- 1:09:06whoppers are you giving me at the end of the game?
- 1:09:09How many big whoppers did you buy me before the game?
- 1:09:13And he signs up to A1 year, $12 million deal.
- 1:09:16What the hell is Travis Kelsey? I don't want to hear about what
- 1:09:19he did last year. The season was practically over.
- 1:09:22You lost Patrick Mahomes, the season was over, Now you're
- 1:09:25bringing him back. What is this spell for anybody?
- 1:09:28What is this spell for the organization?
- 1:09:30What is this spell for, of ancient organization that keeps
- 1:09:34keeping players at old ages? It's an absolute debacle.
- 1:09:39This is a dumb move and it's going to cost, yes, it's going
- 1:09:42to cost him a player in free agency giving him $12 million.
- 1:09:46I, I, I could point out a couple.
- 1:09:49They could have gotten Isaiah likely for that deal.
- 1:09:51Isaiah likely would have signed a one year deal, $12 million to
- 1:09:55go play with Patrick Mahomes. There's other guys that are out
- 1:09:57there better than Travis Kelsey is right now.
- 1:10:00It is an absolute debacle. And yes, that is my golf clap of
- 1:10:04the day. I wouldn't even say it's my golf
- 1:10:06clap. I would spread it out and I
- 1:10:08would say it's a deuce and a clap to make fun.
- 1:10:12So there you go there's the golf clap.
- 1:10:14Thank you to all the fans on Spotify and Apple, Spotify and
- 1:10:17Apple video and audio 16,000 downloads last night.

- 1:11:15No, no, you don't have anything to satisfy you.
- 1:11:18Nothing. Nothing satisfies you.
- 1:11:22Something electric. What satisfies you?
- 1:11:27Food. What kind of food?
- 1:11:28I don't know, depends on what I'm in the mood for.
- 1:11:30Just give me some food. I don't know something give.
- 1:11:33Me, give me something. Something cheesy I.
- 1:11:34Don't know something cheesy? Yeah.
- 1:11:35Yeah. You like cheesy stuff?
- 1:11:37Sure. Squeeze the cheese.
- 1:11:40That's actually fitting. Yeah, well, something's fitting.
- 1:11:42Maybe between the cheeks. No.
- 1:11:44OK. All right, anyways, that's it
- 1:11:47for our show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:11:48Who do we have on 3rd? All right, returning the show at

- 1:11:59I like Adam. Adam knows his stuff.
- 1:12:01He knows his hockey, knows his Islanders.
- 1:12:03So interesting. Anyways, we'll have Adam on the
- 1:12:06show. We'll go back and forth with
- 1:12:08some hockey conversation and hopefully you don't get lost
- 1:12:11between the cheeks. Baby, you do get lost sometimes,
- 1:12:14right? You know, get lost.
- 1:12:17Lost in translation. How about fish?
- 1:12:20Would you squeeze his cheeks? No.
- 1:12:23Why? What's wrong with his cheeks?
- 1:12:24Nothing's wrong with any of his body parts but his cheeks.
- 1:12:26I'm not touching them all right? You slap them.
- 1:12:30I'm not touching them. How about Juan Soto?
- 1:12:32If he he no funny ass naked in the bathroom getting out of the
- 1:12:35shower, would you Would you grab his cheeks?
- 1:12:36No. Why not?
- 1:12:37Because I'm not Mickey Callaway. I think you think his cheeks are
- 1:12:44nice. I don't care.
- 1:12:47Anyways, I gotta go. I'll see you later.
- 1:12:49Goodnight. It's the worldwide sports radio
- 1:12:53network. Radio Network.
