- 0:01For the practitioner of the Integral Yoga, it becomes
- 0:04evident that the transformation of human nature is not something
- 0:08that can be done by his own capacity alone.
- 0:12His mental ideas, the willpower, vital drives, and physical
- 0:17powers have their limitations and remain relatively fixed
- 0:22within the framework of the untransformed human nature as we
- 0:26recognize it. Some progress can be made, but
- 0:31it reaches a point where the change cannot progress any
- 0:34farther, and a new power needs to be brought into the picture
- 0:39to work through the subsequent steps.
- 0:43Once this need is recognized, the most important thing the
- 0:46seeker can do is to focus on the spiritual force, also known as
- 0:51the Divine Shakti and as the Mother's Force and open oneself
- 0:57to it constantly to bring its power into the mind, the will,
- 1:01the emotions, the life energy and the physical body to carry
- 1:06out the needed changes. In his book the Mother Sri
- 1:11Aurobindo states quote, there are two powers that alone can
- 1:17affect in their conjunction the great and difficult thing which
- 1:20is the aim of our endeavour, a fixed and unfailing aspiration
- 1:25that calls from below and a supreme grace from above that
- 1:29answers End Quote. He goes on to note quote, in all
- 1:36that is done in the universe, the Divine through His Shakti is
- 1:39behind all action, but He is veiled by His Yoga Maya and
- 1:44works through the ego of the Jiva in the lower nature.
- 1:48In Yoga also it is the Divine who is the sadak and the
- 1:53sadhana. It is his Shakti with her light,
- 1:58power, knowledge, consciousness, Ananda acting upon the adhar and
- 2:06when it is open to her, pouring into it with these divine forces
- 2:11that makes the sadhana possible. End Quote.
- 2:16Srioro Bindo writes quote, Let nothing and nobody come between
- 2:21you and Mother's force. It is on your admitting and
- 2:25keeping that force and responding to the true
- 2:28inspiration, and not on any ideas the mind may form that
- 2:33success will depend. Even ideas or plans which might
- 2:38otherwise be useful will fail if there is not behind them the
- 2:43true spirit and the true force and influence.
