- 1:09Speaker 6: With or without sleeves?
- 1:11Speaker 4: With sleeves.
- 1:12Speaker 6: Because you've got the one without sleeves.
- 1:13Speaker 5: I don't know if you know this, Matt.
- 1:16Speaker 6: They have a black one, too, now.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Are you serious? Yeah. They didn't send it to me?
- 1:21Speaker 4: It's in the mail, probably. The one that's denim, it's
- 1:23Speaker 4: called the right to bear arms.
- 1:25Speaker 7: Did Hug Canadian Tuxedo it, or no?
- 1:28Speaker 4: So he was getting ready, so he's getting ready for Halloween.
- 1:31Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 1:32Speaker 7: Oh, he's going to be part of his costume?
- 1:33Speaker 4: Joe Dirk? It's like cowboy.
- 1:36Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 1:37Speaker 4: D'Arte? It's like yee-haw.
- 1:39Speaker 7: So, yeah, Canadian tuxedo.
- 1:41Speaker 4: So, basically, yeah. I wore the denim shirt last night, too.
- 1:44Speaker 4: It looked very nice.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Dude, you are fishing for a compliment today. That's the
- 1:50Speaker 5: 14th time you've talked about how nice you look. Am
- 1:53Speaker 5: I missing that?
- 1:55Speaker 6: Am I right there? He's multiple times.
- 1:57Speaker 7: You're not wrong.
- 1:59Speaker 4: You look great, bud. You look good.
- 2:01Speaker 7: How much do you need us to validate you?
- 2:03Speaker 3: You look great. You literally were just looking. You were like, man,
- 2:08Speaker 3: I look good in this shirt.
- 2:09Speaker 6: I think I saw you one time look over and
- 2:10Speaker 6: you go, sex.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Words of affirmation, my love language.
- 2:15Speaker 6: No doubt is it. Oh, my God.
- 2:17Speaker 4: That's why you're on the poncho panel. Gifts as well.
- 2:22Speaker 4: What are the love languages?
- 2:24Speaker 7: It's giving. Words of affirmation.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Physical touch. Physical touch.
- 2:30Speaker 7: Acts of service.
- 2:32Speaker 4: All those things.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 2:34Speaker 4: All those things. Do it all. I'll let you know.
- 2:36Speaker 7: Why do I have.
- 2:38Speaker 3: To pick one? In the mornings when I change the panels,
- 2:41Speaker 3: I do. I look for the neckline on the shirt.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I'm like, where's Matt's chin? Because we got a couple
- 2:48Speaker 3: panels that are blue, but we don't have any like that.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Look at that, Jake. Nice.
- 2:53Speaker 6: I've seen it.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Find the plunging neckline. Look at it. Jake, but look.
- 2:57Speaker 7: But Jake, do you have anything to say about it?
- 2:59Speaker 4: Are you like really looking at it though, Jake?
- 3:01Speaker 6: It's a nice neckline.
- 3:01Speaker 4: If you were going to say like it was good
- 3:03Speaker 4: or something, just say it.
- 3:04Speaker 7: Like if it weren't me, what would you think about that?
- 3:08Speaker 5: I think I really need to call Lacey and be like, hey,
- 3:11Speaker 5: you really need to compliment.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Matt.
- 3:18Speaker 5: Next time Suzette kicks me in my shin, I'm going
- 3:20Speaker 5: to be like, hey, you need to compliment your dad more.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah, he's... He's doing a good job. Maybe give him
- 3:24Speaker 4: a graham cracker every now and then for a buddy.
- 3:27Speaker 4: She ain't doing that.
- 3:27Speaker 6: She ain't giving those up.
- 3:28Speaker 4: That's her snacks.
- 3:29Speaker 6: She is not giving those up.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Daniel in the chat said, those booty shorts you got
- 3:35Speaker 7: on are a love language.
- 3:38Speaker 4: They are kind of short.
- 3:38Speaker 7: They're short.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Are those the same ones you wore to the first Eye.
- 3:42Speaker 4: In the Sky?
- 3:44Speaker 8: No, that wasn't Eye in the Sky on that first
- 3:46Speaker 8: day when I had to put the blanket on.
- 3:47Speaker 4: The FDR blanket.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Oh, that wasn't?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Oh, you're right, you're right. That was just a remote.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right.
- 3:53Speaker 8: Which, you know, again, this was dating us a little bit,
- 3:58Speaker 8: but shout out to Alondra on that, how quick she
- 4:00Speaker 8: turned that side by side with me in FDR.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Those are like cycling shorts.
- 4:06Speaker 7: You looked like FDR. FlynnDR.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I mean, come on, guys.
- 4:10Speaker 8: You got like, it's 2026. You don't want shorts touching
- 4:14Speaker 8: your knees?
- 4:14Speaker 6: No, no, I'm with you.
- 4:15Speaker 7: You don't need them all the way down to your knees,
- 4:17Speaker 7: but you also don't need them all the way up
- 4:18Speaker 7: to your ass.
- 4:19Speaker 6: That's fair.
- 4:20Speaker 4: I need like an extra inch from what you have.
- 4:23Speaker 7: I go.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I've got shorter legs.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I go about an inch above the knee is typically
- 4:27Speaker 3: my shorts.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Okay, that's too long.
- 4:28Speaker 6: That's too long. That's too long, bud.
- 4:29Speaker 7: That is too long.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Are you playing battle?
- 4:31Speaker 4: I guess that's more than it is for me.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Are you TJ Ford in the early 2000s?
- 4:34Speaker 7: These are some long shorts he's got on right now.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Taylor, stand up.
- 4:37Speaker 7: He damn near has capris on.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Hold on, turn the camera view. Step out to the side.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Not the capris. We got to see.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Step out to the side so we can see. Move
- 4:46Speaker 6: your headphones off.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Oh, those are really long. Those are too long. Oh,
- 4:51Speaker 4: my God. They're at the knees.
- 4:52Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Those are at the knees. Those are touching.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh, buddy.
- 4:58Speaker 7: We got to get you some six-inch seams.
- 5:00Speaker 4: These are six-inch end seams. Those are gauchos.
- 5:03Speaker 6: That's what you have on right now.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Go seven. Come on, bud. I have a little bit
- 5:08Speaker 4: shorter than those.
- 5:09Speaker 6: No, we need a lot of this.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Come on.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Let's see some more of them pasty whites. I don't
- 5:12Speaker 4: go that short.
- 5:13Speaker 6: My God, son.
- 5:14Speaker 4: All right. Try doing a squat. I don't know. Those
- 5:22Speaker 4: are really long. Those are long.
- 5:25Speaker 7: Those are long. Okay, so.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Those are board shorts. Those are board shorts. Those are 2006.
- 5:30Speaker 4: All right, one more.
- 5:31Speaker 5: One more and then we're going to get off of it.
- 5:34Speaker 6: There was Bermuda shorts.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Bermuda shorts.
- 5:37Speaker 4: That's what they are.
- 5:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Bermuda shorts?
- 5:39Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what they are.
- 5:42Speaker 7: I used to wear those in, like, elementary school.
- 5:44Speaker 5: During how old you are, because Katie's got a couple
- 5:47Speaker 5: sisters that are the same age, and they lived.
- 5:49Speaker 6: In Bermuda shorts.
- 5:50Speaker 7: Bermuda shorts from Aeropostale were, like.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:53Speaker 4: I'm not as flared, but linked while I was young, too.
- 5:56Speaker 7: But the ones that we used to wear had, like,
- 5:58Speaker 7: plaid on them. They weren't, like, the cool ones that
- 6:01Speaker 7: you're pulling up right now.
- 6:02Speaker 4: They had, like, plaid. They weren't cool Bermuda shorts.
- 6:05Speaker 7: I see old pictures, and I'm like, why did they
- 6:07Speaker 7: let me... Dress like that, but they would dress me
- 6:11Speaker 7: back in the day.
- 6:12Speaker 8: So if you look at, fashion's changed throughout the years,
- 6:16Speaker 8: but swimming pool or beach fashion stayed pretty consistent, especially
- 6:21Speaker 8: for guys. No shirt and some sort of short. Objectively,
- 6:25Speaker 8: the board short period of time in life, in human history,
- 6:29Speaker 8: has been the worst period of fashion, like time for
- 6:32Speaker 8: fashion for guys on the beach. The board short period.
- 6:35Speaker 4: It's awful.
- 6:36Speaker 8: You look at any picture. You can go look at
- 6:38Speaker 8: pictures of the 70s, 60s, 80s. Everyone's looking pretty cool.
- 6:41Speaker 8: Everyone looks the same. 2000s, everyone looks like D-bags.
- 6:46Speaker 7: Crazy.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Everybody.
- 6:48Speaker 8: And nobody, like I did, everybody looks like a D-bag
- 6:51Speaker 8: in the 2000s.
- 6:52Speaker 4: On the beach.
- 6:52Speaker 7: Why were NBA players wearing the baggiest suits of all time?
- 6:56Speaker 4: Oh, the funniest.
- 6:58Speaker 3: It's like, you go look at like SEC basketball in
- 7:01Speaker 3: like 2005.
- 7:02Speaker 4: The jerseys.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And the suits were terrible.
- 7:05Speaker 7: They were so baggy.
- 7:07Speaker 4: The suits are awful, too.
- 7:08Speaker 8: Remember that picture of, was it Tom Brady and the
- 7:11Speaker 8: Patriots before, like, the first Super Bowl that they were
- 7:14Speaker 8: in and during their run, and they all had their
- 7:16Speaker 8: suits on, and it's, like, looked like JNCOs. They all
- 7:20Speaker 8: have shoulder pads on their suits, but they're baggy somehow.
- 7:24Speaker 7: You know, the, like, girls in, like, college and high
- 7:27Speaker 7: school right now are really, really bringing back, like, some
- 7:30Speaker 7: 2000s fashion is cool. Some of it is not, and
- 7:34Speaker 7: they're bringing back the not cool ones of it. And
- 7:36Speaker 7: I'm like, why is this cool to y'all? I regret
- 7:40Speaker 7: dressing this way.
- 7:40Speaker 8: Who decides what's in fashion? Who decides? Like, I'll put
- 7:44Speaker 8: something on, and someone's like, that's not in fashion. I'm like, well,
- 7:46Speaker 8: who said that?
- 7:48Speaker 7: Nowadays, TikTok.
- 7:50Speaker 4: TikTok says it?
- 7:51Speaker 7: I think nowadays, yeah. It used to be, what's her name?
- 7:53Speaker 6: St.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Bonaventure, look at that.
- 7:55Speaker 7: Joan Rivers? Was that her name?
- 7:58Speaker 6: The fashion police?
- 7:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That is Taylor.
- 8:00Speaker 7: We need to bring fashion police back.
- 8:01Speaker 5: There's Taylor before he goes and cuts the grass.
- 8:05Speaker 4: You can see my knee.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Those are ridiculous.
- 8:07Speaker 8: You can see the bottom of your knee. The bottom
- 8:09Speaker 8: half of your knee. You can't see that guy's ankle, Matt.
- 8:12Speaker 8: Your knee is waning crescent.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Waning crescent? Mm-hmm.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Yeah. 6% illumination.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Oh, boy. Jake's about to check out. I mentioned the moon. What?
- 8:29Speaker 7: You gotta give moon stats the next, like, night game.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, bro.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Oh, well, actually, y'all told me I had to say
- 8:35Speaker 5: punching meat.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Yeah, but that's for this game.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Oh, okay. I was talking about the night game.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Yeah, next night game.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I'll do it.
- 8:42Speaker 7: You gotta get some moon stats.
- 8:43Speaker 5: I'll come in with a little weather report as I'm
- 8:47Speaker 5: doing the starting lineup.
- 8:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 6: I'll do that.
- 8:50Speaker 7: I gotta say, it added a really nice touch to
- 8:52Speaker 7: Monday Night Football when he gave out the moon stats.
- 8:55Speaker 4: It did.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Was it Joe or Troy? They gave it out probably.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Joe.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Oh, was it? Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 7: I don't think Troy was out here saying it was
- 9:02Speaker 7: like waxing.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Troy's a meathead in the best way possible.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Troy would enjoy Moon, I feel like.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Troy's a giant.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he would enjoy it.
- 9:07Speaker 6: He's a giant human being.
- 9:09Speaker 4: He also enjoys probably, he looks like he might enjoy hunting. Oh, yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 4: So like hunters that like, when I was hunting a lot,
- 9:17Speaker 4: I had the Moon app. You track the Moon.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 4: It affects the deer. Obvi. So I'm sure he knows
- 9:25Speaker 4: a thing or two about that Moon. No doubt.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I completely missed that part of the broadcast. I must
- 9:31Speaker 3: have tuned out there in that time.
- 9:32Speaker 7: It was coming out of a break.
- 9:33Speaker 4: You're like Jake when it comes to the moon.
- 9:36Speaker 7: You're coming out of a break.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I dig the moon. Okay, let's go around the room.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Okay.
- 9:41Speaker 4: I know your answer. I'm going to start here. And
- 9:46Speaker 4: we landed on the moon. Yes or no? No. Taylor. Yeah, sure,
- 9:56Speaker 4: why not?
- 9:57Speaker 7: I hate that answer That's a terrible answer No conviction
- 10:00Speaker 7: in it.
- 10:00Speaker 4: That's beta. Yes, we absolutely did. Anybody that thinks we
- 10:04Speaker 4: didn't is a moron. I will fight you in the face.
- 10:07Speaker 4: All of you suck, okay?
- 10:09Speaker 7: That's what we needed.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 10:10Speaker 4: That's what we're looking for. We landed on the moon,
- 10:12Speaker 4: yes or no?
- 10:13Speaker 7: Absolutely not.
- 10:14Speaker 4: I'm going to say.
- 10:15Speaker 7: It's Hollywood.
- 10:16Speaker 4: 100% no. No way.
- 10:18Speaker 8: Like 60 years later, we got a lot more technology
- 10:21Speaker 8: than they did back.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Then, right?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Old Buzz.
- 10:24Speaker 7: You're going to tell me a calculator?
- 10:26Speaker 4: A calculator.
- 10:27Speaker 8: Not even a graphing calculator. Not even a Texas group
- 10:31Speaker 8: graphing calculator. We're talking about a standard one that can
- 10:34Speaker 8: do plus, minus, a little bit of division, a little
- 10:37Speaker 8: bit of multiplication.
- 10:38Speaker 4: We're going to land on the moon with that thing.
- 10:40Speaker 8: But 60 years later, we got George Paul Thomas just
- 10:44Speaker 8: making pictures of Dabo falling down the hill.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Waste and water.
- 10:48Speaker 8: We got all that technology, and all we can do
- 10:50Speaker 8: is kind of get close. As an exploration mission to
- 10:55Speaker 8: test it, we can just circle it?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 4: I don't think so, bud. We ain't doing it.
- 11:01Speaker 7: Have you ever listened to the Red Hot Chili Peppers?
- 11:04Speaker 7: They say that it's made in a Hollywood basement.
- 11:08Speaker 4: True.
- 11:10Speaker 6: We had to win.
- 11:12Speaker 7: We had to win.
- 11:12Speaker 4: And we're winners. And I respect that. And I'm not
- 11:15Speaker 4: even saying it's bad we didn't land on the moon.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Fake it till you make it.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Just saying we didn't. Are we about to be turned
- 11:22Speaker 4: off the air?
- 11:23Speaker 7: Probably. By them.
- 11:28Speaker 4: They say.
- 11:28Speaker 7: They are going to take us off the air.
- 11:30Speaker 4: We were this morning anyways, man. Fog got us.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I got in my truck, and I thought I had
- 11:36Speaker 3: Eagle on in the truck. Like 80s rocks playing, and
- 11:40Speaker 3: I went to go change it to ESPN.
- 11:41Speaker 4: It was already on ESPN. Nice.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Dude, our signal is as strong as the Saints running game.
- 11:49Speaker 4: It was already on ESPN. I was like, oh. It
- 11:51Speaker 4: was clear, too.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Which is piss poor.
- 11:54Speaker 4: But not last. 98.1 HD2, y'all.
- 12:01Speaker 7: People are mad in the chat. Hey, it's not my
- 12:03Speaker 7: fault you're a sheep and just believe everything people tell you.
- 12:07Speaker 4: About the moon. Taylor. Sorry. It was a yes or no.
- 12:13Speaker 8: You couldn't be on the moon right now because you'd
- 12:17Speaker 8: trip over them shorts.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I don't. Not a lot of gravity up there. That's
- 12:23Speaker 4: what they say. Just enough to keep them shorts down. Okay.
- 12:29Speaker 7: The tides are pulling Taylor's shorts.
- 12:31Speaker 4: The tides are pulling shorts. Towards his knees. I've got
- 12:36Speaker 4: to tell you. With Matt's shorts.
- 12:38Speaker 7: The man's acting like his shorts tides.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I didn't think I'd be the one catching the short
- 12:43Speaker 3: strays with Matt's. I'm shocked. I enjoy it.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I love it.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Well, I'm not a big, like I wear pants every
- 12:49Speaker 6: day for the most part.
- 12:50Speaker 4: And I normally do.
- 12:51Speaker 5: I'm a big pants wearer. But if I do dabble
- 12:54Speaker 5: in shorts, they're closer to Matt's length than they are
- 12:57Speaker 5: the Bermuda's.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Okay. These aren't even my shortest ones. I got fives. See,
- 13:03Speaker 4: these are by far my longest. The fact that those
- 13:05Speaker 4: are not your shortest. I wear fives.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'll wear my brown shorts tomorrow. We'll see if they're
- 13:12Speaker 3: more to Matt Flynn's liking.
- 13:15Speaker 5: All right.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Let's see if you're... They won't be. It'll be the
- 13:20Speaker 3: shorts like a normal person would wear. But lengthwise, they're
- 13:24Speaker 3: not going to be short.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Enough for you. So what you're saying now, they're not normal.
- 13:27Speaker 4: I mean, apparently not. He admitted it. Got him, folks.
- 13:36Speaker 7: Classic mind game.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Apparently not. I won. Won this combo. I didn't do
- 13:41Speaker 4: what you thought I would, did it, Taylor?
- 13:43Speaker 5: Uh.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of. I think they're normal, but others don't,
- 13:47Speaker 3: so apparently not.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Pretzel.
- 13:54Speaker 7: Kind of in a blender.
- 13:57Speaker 6: Oh, that was fun. After talking about the Saints for
- 14:00Speaker 6: a while.
- 14:00Speaker 4: That was fun. I enjoyed that. That was my favorite
- 14:02Speaker 4: segment of radio.
- 14:03Speaker 7: You thought you hated moon talk.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Well, it's better than Saints rushing talk.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 6: I got a text.
- 14:12Speaker 7: Next one will say the earth is flat. I mean,
- 14:14Speaker 7: is it not?
- 14:15Speaker 4: No. I can't get behind that one. I can look
- 14:18Speaker 4: as far as I can. I can't curve to that thing.
- 14:20Speaker 7: I don't see a single curve. No, the flat earth
- 14:24Speaker 7: is one I cannot get behind.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I can't get behind that one. What's the donut one? Yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 4: it's like.
- 14:31Speaker 7: Luke is the firmament one. That's the one I can entertain.
- 14:34Speaker 7: I don't, I'm not saying I believe it, but I
- 14:36Speaker 7: would like to.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Read more about it. It's just a domed. It's flat.
- 14:39Speaker 4: It's flat at the bottom.
- 14:40Speaker 7: The ocean is heaven or something like that.
- 14:42Speaker 4: I think the ocean is the sky. That's why it's blue.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yeah. We can get behind this. And that's why it rains.
- 14:51Speaker 4: The ocean.
- 14:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 4: The ocean is above us. Yeah. So it's obviously going
- 14:55Speaker 4: to be, there's a salt filter.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:58Speaker 3: What happens when it's not raining? How's the water stay up?
- 15:02Speaker 4: Permanent stuff.
- 15:03Speaker 7: They turn the.
- 15:06Speaker 5: It's the moon.
- 15:07Speaker 7: The moon pulls the water up.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Man, I'm learning a lot today. This has been an
- 15:16Speaker 3: educational day for me.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Okay, so who texted the group? Somebody was posting about
- 15:22Speaker 4: the Indian mounds recently.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Oh, Taylor sent that.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Oh, you sent it?
- 15:26Speaker 5: I sent it because I don't even know if y'all
- 15:28Speaker 5: were on the show yet.
- 15:30Speaker 6: No, I'm saying when this happened.
- 15:31Speaker 7: So, funnily enough, I had just started working here, and
- 15:35Speaker 7: I was, like, shadowing Mario, and it was the first, like,
- 15:40Speaker 7: introduction to OTB I ever had was y'all arguing about it.
- 15:43Speaker 7: That was that day?
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Me and Matt went after T-Bob, and really with nothing
- 15:49Speaker 5: behind it, we just knew it would piss him off. Like,
- 15:52Speaker 5: he was talking about the old Indian mounds are millions
- 15:53Speaker 5: of years old. We're like, bro, those are like 100
- 15:56Speaker 5: years old. They just pushed some dirt together, like, not
- 15:58Speaker 5: that long ago.
- 15:59Speaker 4: How can you tell that that mound of dirt is thousands.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Tens of thousands of years old?
- 16:03Speaker 4: Well, because at least.
- 16:05Speaker 3: With trees, don't they cut it and they count the
- 16:07Speaker 3: rings or whatever? You can't do that with dirt.
- 16:09Speaker 4: All dirt is old. There's nothing. There's no such thing as.
- 16:12Speaker 6: I have never seen him get.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Well, the two times I saw T-Bob get that mad,
- 16:17Speaker 5: that was the first one. And then when Matt called
- 16:19Speaker 5: him out for whiskey and wine.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I got to tell you, when I first joined the
- 16:24Speaker 3: show there, our first tier list was HBO shows. And
- 16:27Speaker 3: the fact that a lot of us hadn't seen Rome,
- 16:29Speaker 3: T-Bob lost his mind.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Yeah, he did. Interesting. It was shocking not seeing that.
- 16:35Speaker 5: We're like, T-Bob, they're like, I don't know, we'll keep... Hey,
- 16:37Speaker 5: we'll give you 150 years.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Does that make you feel better?
- 16:39Speaker 4: Yeah, what do you want, bud?
- 16:41Speaker 7: Oh, stupid.
- 16:42Speaker 6: We're so close-minded.
- 16:43Speaker 7: The timeline they give you is so like hundreds of
- 16:48Speaker 7: millions of years in between them.
- 16:50Speaker 3: But the dirt at the bottom of it's old. I'm like,
- 16:52Speaker 3: all dirt is old. Yeah, you ain't creating more dirt.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Where's that coming from?
- 16:56Speaker 4: Yeah, you ain't doing it. Pretty much all got here
- 16:58Speaker 4: at the same time.
- 16:59Speaker 6: I like water.
- 17:00Speaker 4: I ain't making more.
- 17:01Speaker 7: Water is water.
- 17:02Speaker 6: Water is water.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Dirt is dirt. I don't care if it's in a
- 17:07Speaker 4: mound or not.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Thank you, Mitchell. I trust the OTB science.
- 17:10Speaker 7: If there's science you're going to trust.
- 17:12Speaker 6: It should be ours.
- 17:14Speaker 4: See, if we could put some dirt together. Yeah. Put
- 17:16Speaker 4: some sod on it. Wait a couple years. Say, I
- 17:20Speaker 4: found this on my property. And they're going to test
- 17:22Speaker 4: that dirt. And they're going to be like, this dirt's old.
- 17:24Speaker 4: This dirt is old.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Old, old.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Old dirt. Put a couple twigs in there. Old twigs.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Daniel in the chat said, you ain't creating more dirt.
- 17:38Speaker 4: You ain't doing it. Taylor. You ain't.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You ain't.
- 17:41Speaker 4: You ain't doing it. I ain't doing it. Is there
- 17:43Speaker 4: a dirt factory I ain't privy to? Uh-uh. No, sir.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Unless it's on the LSU lakes, then you can create
- 17:49Speaker 4: more land, apparently.
- 17:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Dredging.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Don't get me started on those lakes.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Man, they're just.
- 17:54Speaker 7: How does state rep make a video off a video
- 17:56Speaker 7: I made?
- 17:56Speaker 4: You did. That was awesome.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Dixon McMakin got your video and made a video.
- 18:01Speaker 4: It was great.
- 18:01Speaker 7: He was like, listen here, it's dangerous. I was like, well,
- 18:05Speaker 7: then let people know that and we won't have to
- 18:07Speaker 7: question it.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Put up a sign that says danger or something.
- 18:11Speaker 5: I'm over there a lot because you're high.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Man, oh man, it is an eyesore.
- 18:17Speaker 7: Main Street has been closed for two years now.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 6: I use that all the time.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:22Speaker 6: If we're cutting through, going to get the boys, like, hey,
- 18:24Speaker 6: let's go grab some lunch.
- 18:25Speaker 7: Right.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Whatever.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Or running.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Yeah, that too.
- 18:28Speaker 7: You can't run down Main Street anymore.
- 18:30Speaker 4: It's like the number one.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Dixon said November?
- 18:35Speaker 7: Yeah, Dixon said November.
- 18:37Speaker 4: That's like the one thing that salesmen do when they
- 18:39Speaker 4: sell land. They're like, God ain't making any more land.
- 18:41Speaker 7: You're not making any more land.
- 18:42Speaker 4: We made some more land. That's true. Out of what?
- 18:47Speaker 4: Where'd they get the dirt then? Old ass dirt.
- 18:49Speaker 6: Old ass dirt. Millions of years old.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Sort of a political activist now, so. So if you
- 18:56Speaker 7: need something that you want to get to the hands
- 18:58Speaker 7: of the state rep, let me know.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Tree hugger Alondra.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Sniffing.
- 19:06Speaker 6: All right, we'll take a break.
- 19:07Speaker 5: More OTB when we come back here live from the

- 20:25Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 20:27Speaker 1: to you by Poncho.
- 20:42Speaker 2: When I think about like this song, really this kind
- 20:47Speaker 2: of time period of music and air, I see myself
- 20:54Speaker 2: wearing some.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Um, Jabot jeans.
- 21:08Speaker 4: What kind? Jabot.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Do you remember Jabot?
- 21:12Speaker 4: Looking them up right now. Probably do. Probably going to
- 21:15Speaker 4: tickle something.
- 21:17Speaker 6: T-shirt tucked into the jeans. No belt.
- 21:20Speaker 5: If I had a belt, it was a one-size-fits-all, like,
- 21:22Speaker 5: braid belt. And then I had the, like, you remember
- 21:25Speaker 5: the Nike shoes that said Air.
- 21:27Speaker 6: On them, like, in bubble letters?
- 21:29Speaker 4: Okay. Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 6: Rocking those. Definitely had a butt cut with an undercut.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Yep.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Obviously, going into a dance with the intention to look
- 21:40Speaker 5: cool and probably not dance with anybody.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Sure.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Guys over in this corner, girls over in that corner
- 21:46Speaker 5: at Ridgewood Middle School.
- 21:50Speaker 4: I think about those cheap wooden CD holders, the CD
- 21:57Speaker 4: case holders with the different shelves. I think of CD binders.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I think of.
- 22:03Speaker 5: That was the first real... distraction while driving before phones were.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Your binder in your lap flipping through as you drive.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Actually, the CD holder on the visor.
- 22:17Speaker 5: That was your seven favorite ones.
- 22:21Speaker 6: That was like the staples, the go-tos.
- 22:24Speaker 3: In the truck I just sold, I got to put
- 22:26Speaker 3: it up on my new one, actually. I had the
- 22:29Speaker 3: CD player.
- 22:29Speaker 5: I had a.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Couple of them. I don't know if my new truck
- 22:33Speaker 4: even has a CD player.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Probably not.
- 22:35Speaker 4: It also reminds me of aftermarket CD players that go
- 22:40Speaker 4: into cars where you had to remove the face of
- 22:44Speaker 4: it when you got out to lock your door manually
- 22:46Speaker 4: because you didn't want to get your CD player stolen.
- 22:49Speaker 8: So you had to remove the face, put it in
- 22:52Speaker 8: the glove compartment, or you had the disc changer. You
- 22:57Speaker 8: had like a six or seven disc changer CD player,
- 23:01Speaker 8: but you had to open up the glove compartment and
- 23:02Speaker 8: load the discs up there somehow.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I don't know how that works. aftermarket cd players and
- 23:07Speaker 4: cars that's what i think.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Of alondra yes are you old enough to remember because
- 23:13Speaker 5: i know taylor's like an old soul do you remember
- 23:16Speaker 5: like having the cd face and like how big of
- 23:19Speaker 5: a flex that was if you had one that had
- 23:22Speaker 5: like some like.
- 23:23Speaker 7: A blue button like cool design on a.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Blue button like a blue big play pause.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Button yeah i mean come on now i couldn't tell
- 23:30Speaker 6: me nothing.
- 23:31Speaker 7: I remember my dad having binders.
- 23:33Speaker 6: See, I don't need you to say your dad.
- 23:36Speaker 7: I remember we had, I had binders too with my
- 23:38Speaker 7: CDs and we had like the, we would hold them
- 23:41Speaker 7: and my dad on road trips would be like, grab
- 23:43Speaker 7: that CD out the binder and I would, and it
- 23:46Speaker 7: was like a huge one. It wasn't like a small
- 23:48Speaker 7: little one.
- 23:49Speaker 4: It was huge.
- 23:49Speaker 6: You could have one CD that you like two songs on.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Right.
- 23:52Speaker 7: I just always, whenever I picture that, I always picture
- 23:55Speaker 7: the Violator album, Depeche Mode. That's what I always think of.
- 24:00Speaker 7: And the, um, how am I forgetting? Nevermind.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Mine's, mine's voiced by Nirvana with the Roman numeral two
- 24:09Speaker 5: on it. I think that's the picture I see.
- 24:11Speaker 7: Nevermind by Nirvana. And I think by the Violator album.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Fashion Nugget by Cake for me.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I'll always remember, um, my dad, like he got, he
- 24:18Speaker 3: got a new SUV one time and it was where
- 24:20Speaker 3: you could load in like seven different CDs. And like,
- 24:24Speaker 3: he's like, Hey, push two. I'm like, that was different
- 24:27Speaker 3: than what we just listened to. What happens with three
- 24:28Speaker 3: and four? He's like, push them.
- 24:30Speaker 4: There's CD and all of them. I'm like, I hope
- 24:32Speaker 4: you're sitting for this. Are we rich? Because I've never
- 24:35Speaker 4: seen this before.
- 24:35Speaker 6: Did you win the lottery?
- 24:38Speaker 4: Are you holding out on me?
- 24:39Speaker 7: Man, we got a Suburban one time and it was like,
- 24:41Speaker 7: we had made it.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 7: It never had TVs in it, but I wanted a
- 24:47Speaker 7: car that had the, like, DVD player in it so bad.
- 24:51Speaker 4: My mom had one.
- 24:52Speaker 6: We got one one time. That had it, like, right
- 24:54Speaker 6: kind of in between.
- 24:54Speaker 7: Like on the seats or whatever?
- 24:55Speaker 8: So my dad got a Suburban in the back seat.
- 24:59Speaker 8: In between the driver and the passenger. Like, it had
- 25:02Speaker 8: the compartment that you lift it up, and it had
- 25:04Speaker 8: a little TV in there.
- 25:05Speaker 4: And it would pop out? But it was before flat
- 25:06Speaker 4: screen technology, so this thing was a box. Right.
- 25:09Speaker 8: And it, like, there was no glove compartment or no, like...
- 25:12Speaker 8: console center console where they puts up it was the
- 25:15Speaker 8: box of the tv yeah we had a vcr we had.
- 25:18Speaker 4: We had the one in my mom's uh exhibition it
- 25:21Speaker 4: was like tv.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Two front seats here and then like the tv was
- 25:25Speaker 3: on the roof yeah you'd fold it down and you'd
- 25:27Speaker 3: put the cd in it great.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Times you are so right inside the chat that pioneer
- 25:32Speaker 5: deck with the dolphin jumping on the screen.
- 25:34Speaker 7: Elite Dan, how many Villarreal's could fit in a Suburban? Y'all,
- 25:41Speaker 7: we used to fit so many Villarreal's up in there. Like,
- 25:44Speaker 7: get in. We're crossing the border.
- 25:46Speaker 3: He even said, sorry, that was a dad phrase.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Oh, jeez. We don't stand for that.
- 25:54Speaker 7: We don't stand for that?
- 25:56Speaker 6: Nobody talks about blank space like that, okay?
- 25:59Speaker 7: Just y'all.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Just us. That's for us to make jokes about.
- 26:04Speaker 7: I mean, to be fair.
- 26:05Speaker 4: All fair.
- 26:06Speaker 7: We'd have a lot of them in there.
- 26:07Speaker 5: They made an Aerostar van. That's when I thought we
- 26:13Speaker 5: had made it because we went from the Cutlass to
- 26:15Speaker 5: the Aerostar.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Was that before the Astro van?
- 26:18Speaker 6: I think we had an Astro too.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Was it Chevy that had the Astro van?
- 26:20Speaker 6: I think we had an Astro and an Aerostar. I
- 26:21Speaker 6: think Aerostar was Ford.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 26:23Speaker 6: The Astro was Chevy.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I believe. Astros were sweet. Tirewell and the ladder in
- 26:28Speaker 4: the back.
- 26:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:29Speaker 4: I had a friend that had that. It was awesome. Awesome.
- 26:33Speaker 6: What'd you do on that ladder?
- 26:33Speaker 4: That was so awesome. I never really used it. It's cool.
- 26:37Speaker 4: It's too high. It's too high, man.
- 26:38Speaker 6: All right.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's Garrett Heights. All right.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Well, we appreciate y'all letting us get over the Saints
- 26:46Speaker 5: talk and have a little fun here.
- 26:48Speaker 8: Well, look, we spent the first two days of the
- 26:50Speaker 8: week sad about LSU. This week, mad at the Saints.
- 26:56Speaker 7: I just know Brandon Creighton in the chat is punching
- 26:58Speaker 7: the air right now.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Damn it, Brandon.
- 27:00Speaker 7: I don't know, guys. The fashion conversation and talking about
- 27:03Speaker 7: dirt was riveting. If you got nothing to talk about,
- 27:06Speaker 7: then how about speculate on who could be replacing Mickey
- 27:09Speaker 7: Loomis and Kellen Moore?
- 27:10Speaker 4: We've talked saints for 40 minutes straight.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Hey, rewind, bud.
- 27:16Speaker 4: We did that. We'll do it. Me and Jake will
- 27:18Speaker 4: do it.
- 27:19Speaker 7: Drew, bring me Drew.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Totally.
- 27:23Speaker 7: I know you're on board with that.
- 27:24Speaker 4: No doubt.
- 27:25Speaker 3: You were talking about yesterday how good the roster would
- 27:28Speaker 3: be if Drew came in.
- 27:29Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 6: And I got plenty of shows I can recommend you, Brandon.
- 27:34Speaker 6: You stay just right here on this channel.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Or you could have just, you know, two of the
- 27:39Speaker 4: first three hours.
- 27:41Speaker 7: Or you could just accept us for who we are.
- 27:42Speaker 6: Yeah, we're people too.
- 27:45Speaker 5: I'll tell you what, I'll give you a little nugget
- 27:46Speaker 5: on the way out here, Brandon. If Kellen Moore is
- 27:49Speaker 5: not the head coach anymore, I want somebody that's in
- 27:52Speaker 5: the same mold as Dan Campbell. That's what I want
- 27:56Speaker 5: for the Saints. Because, by God, they need a fire
- 27:59Speaker 5: lit under their ass. And I know somebody like that
- 28:02Speaker 5: will get it done. Now, Dan's in Detroit.
- 28:04Speaker 6: He ain't going anywhere.
- 28:05Speaker 5: But I'm saying somebody like that. That's what I want
- 28:07Speaker 5: to see in New Orleans. I don't want to see
- 28:09Speaker 5: soft spoken. I don't want to see maybe, kind of,
- 28:13Speaker 5: sort of. I want this is what it is. This
- 28:16Speaker 5: is what it's going to be.
- 28:17Speaker 6: How about that?
- 28:18Speaker 8: They need somebody that it doesn't matter what room they
- 28:20Speaker 8: walk into. Everybody sits up for some reason.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Yeah. When I walk in, sit up straight.
- 28:26Speaker 4: You don't know why. It doesn't matter what room it is.
- 28:28Speaker 6: Coach Saban had that. They sit up straight.
- 28:30Speaker 4: I don't know. Not because you're scared and intimidated, but
- 28:33Speaker 4: you respect him.
- 28:34Speaker 5: We used to be in the Lawton room, and when
- 28:35Speaker 5: Coach Saban would walk into the room, you know when
- 28:38Speaker 5: you hear those chairs kind of make that adjustment sound?
- 28:41Speaker 4: You're sitting up in them and everything, right?
- 28:42Speaker 6: It would make the.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Adjustment sound for about two seconds, and then it stopped,
- 28:46Speaker 5: dead silent. And he was the smallest man in that
- 28:49Speaker 5: room in stature.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Yeah. Shorts can't be too long either.
- 28:55Speaker 7: No.
- 28:56Speaker 4: But.
- 28:57Speaker 5: If the Saints did go a different direction, if they
- 28:59Speaker 5: can't figure it out, if they had to make a move,
- 29:02Speaker 5: that's what I would want.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Don't get another nerd.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Well, maybe Kellen's going to turn this around.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Gee, guys, we really got to, huh? I mean, gosh,
- 29:17Speaker 7: it's not looking great. Oh, man.
- 29:20Speaker 6: You're too good at that.
- 29:22Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break.
- 29:23Speaker 5: More OTB when we come back here. Live from the
- 29:26Speaker 5: Raising Cane Studio.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 29:28Speaker 5: All right, go to RussellPools.com, the website for Russell Poole Company.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Been in the game since the 1960s here in South Louisiana, right?
- 29:38Speaker 5: And we have some harsh conditions here. Weather, the heat,
- 29:41Speaker 5: the rain.
- 29:42Speaker 4: We get it.
- 29:42Speaker 5: We understand it. But not as good as they do
- 29:45Speaker 5: over at Russell Pool Company. Because when they build your pool,
- 29:48Speaker 5: they understand that it's got to stand the test of time.
- 29:50Speaker 5: It has to go through those harsh conditions. And so
- 29:52Speaker 5: that's exactly what you're going to get. It's going to
- 29:54Speaker 5: be a custom pool. It's going to be your design,
- 29:57Speaker 5: your dream. And they're going to put it in your backyard,
- 29:59Speaker 5: in your space. Go start that conversation today at RussellPools.com.
- 30:03Speaker 8: Yeah, start the conversation. That's where everything is going to start,
- 30:06Speaker 8: and then just build it from there. You can start
- 30:08Speaker 8: telling them about what you like, what you don't like,
- 30:10Speaker 8: your do's, your don'ts, your wants, and they'll start designing.
- 30:14Speaker 8: They've got two landscape architects on staff over there. They
- 30:16Speaker 8: can literally do everything. Go to RussellPools.com. See their gallery
- 30:19Speaker 8: of work, and whether you want a resort-style pool, maybe
- 30:22Speaker 8: you just want a casual pool, maybe you want a
- 30:24Speaker 8: small pool.
- 30:24Speaker 4: It doesn't matter. They can do it, and they're going
- 30:26Speaker 4: to do it the absolute best in all of Louisiana. RussellPools.com.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 30:50Speaker 1: to you by Poncho.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Some people live for the fortunes. Some people live just
- 31:01Speaker 5: for the fame.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Some people live for the power, yeah.
- 31:11Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in, OTB.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Is that underrated, Chick?
- 31:21Speaker 6: Okay, a couple things. Just kidding.
- 31:25Speaker 5: You already made a joke about Alondra's family. I don't
- 31:27Speaker 5: think we need you saying Chick out here.
- 31:28Speaker 6: Why?
- 31:29Speaker 4: What's wrong with that?
- 31:30Speaker 6: Alicia Keys.
- 31:31Speaker 7: I can't believe you're being so prejudiced toward me today.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Why? What did I say to you?
- 31:35Speaker 6: You need to stop targeting Alondra.
- 31:39Speaker 4: I call my wife and daughter's chick. It's a term
- 31:43Speaker 4: of endearment.
- 31:44Speaker 7: I feel like if we're, the one that bothers, doesn't
- 31:48Speaker 7: bother me, but like the one that's like, okay, is female.
- 31:52Speaker 7: I don't know why. Like when people are like, it's female.
- 31:54Speaker 7: It feels like.
- 31:56Speaker 4: That's a little strange, right?
- 31:57Speaker 7: I'm never like this male.
- 31:59Speaker 5: I'm always like this guy.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Is chick bad?
- 32:00Speaker 7: No, I don't think so.
- 32:01Speaker 8: Because I literally call my daughters that every day.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I think chick and dude, kind of the same, right?
- 32:06Speaker 3: Like the informal, more casual.
- 32:09Speaker 6: Right.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Like is chick and dude the equivalent? Like this dude.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Do people outside this room share that opinion?
- 32:16Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know.
- 32:17Speaker 4: I literally just thought of it, Matt. No thought went
- 32:19Speaker 4: into that statement. Yeah, I don't know. Zero.
- 32:22Speaker 6: Katie and I call like the boys freaks.
- 32:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:25Speaker 7: Hey, freak.
- 32:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 4: I like that.
- 32:27Speaker 6: We call Harlow girl.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Just girl. Because she's the only girl. So, yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 7: That's cute.
- 32:35Speaker 4: That's what we call her, girl. I'm like, hey, what's up,
- 32:37Speaker 4: Tuesday chick? What's up, himmy chick?
- 32:40Speaker 6: Is that after she kicks you in the shin?
- 32:41Speaker 4: Yeah. You're affected. That hurt.
- 32:44Speaker 3: By the way, you were talking about Alicia Keys.
- 32:47Speaker 4: And your daughter's liking it.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I can see Tuzette jamming to Girl on Fire.
- 32:53Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 32:53Speaker 4: I mean, I can picture it. They both win it. So,
- 32:57Speaker 4: Tuzette started it.
- 32:58Speaker 8: And then it carried over to Hemi, and like, my God.
- 33:01Speaker 8: Not so much in the last year, but the two
- 33:04Speaker 8: years before that, it was every day at least three times,
- 33:08Speaker 8: can you play Girl on Fire?
- 33:10Speaker 4: Can I play Girl on Fire?
- 33:10Speaker 8: Every time you're in the car, every time we're having
- 33:12Speaker 8: a Flynn family dance party, every time. And we did it, obviously,
- 33:17Speaker 8: because we spoiled them.
- 33:20Speaker 5: All right, I want to remind you about our friends
- 33:21Speaker 5: over at PALA. When the job has to be done safely, efficiently,
- 33:25Speaker 5: and the right way, you trust our friends over at PALA. Employee-owned, relationship-driven,
- 33:29Speaker 5: Pala has served the Gulf Coast since 1973, providing turnkey
- 33:33Speaker 5: industrial construction, maintenance, storage tank construction and repair, pressure vessel fabrication,
- 33:38Speaker 5: and more. So from the first plan to the finished project,
- 33:41Speaker 5: Pala is building together with its customers and communities. You
- 33:44Speaker 5: can learn more at palagroup.com. Again, that's P-A-L-A group.com. Pala, employee-owned, relationship-driven,
- 33:51Speaker 5: building together. somebody's asking like who's in that style of
- 33:56Speaker 5: coach that you're talking about and look we're not trying
- 33:58Speaker 5: to uh throw dirt on anybody right now but there's
- 34:02Speaker 5: not a lot out there i get that like of
- 34:04Speaker 5: that kind of style of what i'm talking about i
- 34:06Speaker 5: know a lot of saints fans have thrown like mike
- 34:08Speaker 5: tomlin's name out there it's been a big big name
- 34:11Speaker 5: to throw out there and sometimes like when a coach
- 34:13Speaker 5: all right there's a couple different things when a coach
- 34:15Speaker 5: gets out of it like that sometimes we're like oh
- 34:18Speaker 5: my god this isn't I get to talk about football.
- 34:21Speaker 5: I get to be around football, but I don't have
- 34:23Speaker 5: to coach and spend those hours. I think Bill Cowher
- 34:26Speaker 5: is somebody like that. Bill Cowher is still on CBS,
- 34:29Speaker 5: talks about it every weekend. Bill Cowher could have gotten
- 34:32Speaker 5: however many jobs he wanted to since he stepped away
- 34:35Speaker 5: from the Steelers, but he didn't want to. He wants
- 34:37Speaker 5: to do TV, and he's going to hang out with
- 34:40Speaker 5: his family, and that's what he wanted to do, right?
- 34:43Speaker 5: More power to him. Then you have somebody like Jimbo.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Jimbo's in the media. He's on the ACC channel. He
- 34:49Speaker 5: does Sirius XM, but Jimbo wants to coach. Like Jimbo,
- 34:54Speaker 5: I think for a year was fine. He was like, man,
- 34:57Speaker 5: I get to go hunting. I get to go see
- 34:58Speaker 5: my mom. I get to see my family. But, you know,
- 35:01Speaker 5: having conversations with him, like a Florida state job, he
- 35:04Speaker 5: would jump at the opportunity. So like you always kind
- 35:07Speaker 5: of be, got to be careful a little bit with
- 35:09Speaker 5: guys that have been somewhere, done something for a long time.
- 35:12Speaker 5: They step away for a year, two years or whatever,
- 35:13Speaker 5: because just to assume that they want to get back
- 35:17Speaker 5: into coaching, there's some guys that say, man, I'm good.
- 35:20Speaker 6: I had my deal, like for Tomlin. I won my
- 35:22Speaker 6: Super Bowl. I'm good.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I'm going to go build my Minecraft world that I
- 35:28Speaker 5: spent 12 years on, and that's what I'm going to
- 35:30Speaker 5: do now moving forward.
- 35:32Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, that seems like a pretty good gig, right?
- 35:34Speaker 8: But sometimes you're just never, especially if it doesn't end
- 35:38Speaker 8: the right way. If you've got a bad taste in
- 35:41Speaker 8: your mouth, or if you love a fan base or
- 35:44Speaker 8: a place and Maybe, like, you want to make something
- 35:47Speaker 8: right there. I mean, it so much depends on, like,
- 35:52Speaker 8: what your future goals are and, like, what's happened in
- 35:54Speaker 8: the past sometimes. Like, and, you know, if you want
- 35:57Speaker 8: to right or wrong– but Jimbo's just one of those
- 36:00Speaker 8: guys that's like, man, that guy, he will never stop
- 36:06Speaker 8: coaching or trying to coach. But there's also you reach
- 36:09Speaker 8: a certain level you don't want to– there's a certain
- 36:12Speaker 8: level you don't want to go down to. And it's
- 36:15Speaker 8: not going to be, like, a natty contender, probably.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Right.
- 36:20Speaker 4: At least if.
- 36:21Speaker 8: He ever went back to coaching, at least a start.
- 36:24Speaker 4: But, look, I always enjoyed my time. Oh, no, for sure.
- 36:29Speaker 6: I think Jimbo's a really good football coach.
- 36:30Speaker 5: I was just saying, for the Saints, like, if Tomlin
- 36:33Speaker 5: was a name, like, that's what you have to– I
- 36:35Speaker 5: don't think.
- 36:35Speaker 6: No, it might not be. I was saying that's what
- 36:37Speaker 6: you have to look at.
- 36:38Speaker 8: He's got the face of a man– That is very,
- 36:41Speaker 8: very happy.
- 36:42Speaker 6: Very content in what he's doing right now.
- 36:43Speaker 4: But will he be in a couple years? You don't know.
- 36:49Speaker 5: And again, we're having this conversation just because of Gail's comments.
- 36:53Speaker 5: We don't know how close it truly would be if
- 36:56Speaker 5: they go 0-2 and they would make a move. I mean,
- 36:58Speaker 5: we're talking about only a year and a half in.
- 37:03Speaker 5: But I will say, maybe somebody that's had head coaching
- 37:06Speaker 5: experience in your next one.
- 37:09Speaker 7: That would be a great idea.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Like successful– sorry, pump the brakes. Successful head coaching experience.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Dennis Allen was the third worst coach in the NFL
- 37:18Speaker 5: in the history of the game when they hired him
- 37:20Speaker 5: as a head coach when he was with the Raiders.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Right?
- 37:22Speaker 6: Winning percentage, he was third worst ever.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:25Speaker 5: And, you know, in like– what was it? Minimum 20 games.
- 37:28Speaker 5: I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about somebody that
- 37:31Speaker 5: has been through the fire, been through the process, had success,
- 37:34Speaker 5: knows how to run an organization, not surprised by anything.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Are you talking like a Brian Flores? It's a guy that.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Actually, Matt, you've said so many dumb things on this
- 37:50Speaker 5: show before. That's the smartest thing I think you've ever said.
- 37:53Speaker 5: I think that's actually a perfect candidate.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I did too.
- 37:57Speaker 6: Well done.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Thank you. Now I know there's lots.
- 37:59Speaker 3: We threw out during this last coaching process, like a
- 38:03Speaker 3: guy everybody wanted. Like, how's this team look with Mike
- 38:05Speaker 3: Vrabel right now?
- 38:07Speaker 4: Not a lot. But you can also miss on trying
- 38:11Speaker 4: to chase a type like Robert Sala.
- 38:15Speaker 6: They're chasing a type right there.
- 38:17Speaker 8: They're chasing what you said, like a guy that commands
- 38:19Speaker 8: the room, because he does those things too.
- 38:21Speaker 4: But he's also missing on the same way.
- 38:26Speaker 5: I can't tell if you are kidding when you mess
- 38:28Speaker 5: with me about it, but like John Harbaugh, the Giants
- 38:31Speaker 5: are 3-1-1 right now. The Giants last year didn't get
- 38:34Speaker 5: their third win until Week 17. They're 3-1-1 right now
- 38:38Speaker 5: with a backup with Jameis, the Jameis experience.
- 38:43Speaker 6: They needed that.
- 38:45Speaker 5: They needed somebody to come in that had experience, that
- 38:47Speaker 5: had been in so many big games, that could solidify
- 38:51Speaker 5: and calm everything.
- 38:52Speaker 6: That's what they needed.
- 38:54Speaker 5: I think the Saints need somebody who's going to come in,
- 38:56Speaker 5: light a fire under everybody in that building, and create
- 38:59Speaker 5: this energy that the Superdome deserves.
- 39:02Speaker 6: It deserves that. You're very best in, like, a strain
- 39:06Speaker 6: on every single play.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 3: The only guy that we've mentioned that, like, is available, because, like,
- 39:12Speaker 3: NFL coaches don't jump unless they're fired. Like, Rabel, Salah,
- 39:18Speaker 3: whoever these guys we're mentioning, Harbaugh, like, they're not available.
- 39:21Speaker 4: That's the problem.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Like, who's out there, like, outside of Tomlin, like, who
- 39:25Speaker 3: fits that mold that's actually available?
- 39:27Speaker 4: Somebody, I think I just said the one.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, it's Flores. You're again, you gotta be right.
- 39:35Speaker 7: And again, we're, Oh, I'm Luma's gone before anything, but
- 39:37Speaker 7: I just got a fever dream of the text. Oh, Drew.
- 39:42Speaker 7: Drew Brees is your new saints. GM Kirby smart is
- 39:45Speaker 7: your new head coach. You're also taking Georgia down a
- 39:48Speaker 7: couple of notches.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Kirby's not leaving Georgia.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Never.
- 39:53Speaker 6: Now, I do think Drew at some point will get involved.
- 39:55Speaker 7: At least in some capacity.
- 39:57Speaker 5: It might be a Matt Ryan president role.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Do you want Drew as a GM?
- 40:03Speaker 7: I would like him to have some sort of.
- 40:06Speaker 6: I'd want him as a president if you had him.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Not a GM.
- 40:09Speaker 8: I only say that because what does he know about
- 40:12Speaker 8: being a GM?
- 40:13Speaker 4: That's the only reason.
- 40:15Speaker 7: But I would like him in some sort of... Some
- 40:19Speaker 7: sort of role.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Some ambassador type role.
- 40:21Speaker 6: No, it doesn't have to be ambassador.
- 40:22Speaker 5: It can be like Matt Ryan right now has a GM, and.
- 40:25Speaker 6: The GM is going to make some decisions.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Now, they're going to bring that to Matt Ryan, and
- 40:30Speaker 5: Matt Ryan's going to have a lot of say in it,
- 40:32Speaker 5: but he does have a GM that has a role
- 40:34Speaker 5: that's going to be the draft process, the free agent
- 40:37Speaker 5: signing process, and it's going to be a team thing,
- 40:40Speaker 5: but Matt's done a pretty good job. I'm not saying
- 40:44Speaker 5: the team's world beaters, but They're better right now than
- 40:48Speaker 5: they were a year ago.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Better than they were two weeks ago.
- 40:54Speaker 5: All right, we'll take our last break of the show,
- 40:56Speaker 5: wrap it up with a little Ask the Bench, brought
- 40:58Speaker 5: to you by our friends over at Dos Equis when
- 41:00Speaker 5: we come back here on OTB.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Off the Bench.
- 41:03Speaker 6: All right, go to FABT.com.
- 41:05Speaker 5: First American Bank and Trust, been in the game for
- 41:07Speaker 5: well over 100 years. Since 1910, they've been here in
- 41:11Speaker 5: South Louisiana, and they have been your go-to banker.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Now, the thing that sets them apart from everyone else is...
- 41:18Speaker 6: A relationship. You're a name. You're a face.
- 41:20Speaker 5: They know who you are. You know who they are,
- 41:22Speaker 5: and that matters. They care about you. They care about
- 41:24Speaker 5: your banking needs. When a decision is made on a
- 41:28Speaker 5: personal loan or business loan, it's made right here in
- 41:31Speaker 5: South Louisiana. They don't pick up the phone and ask
- 41:34Speaker 5: somebody in San Francisco or New York, hey, is this okay?
- 41:37Speaker 5: They don't ask for permission. They go and they care
- 41:40Speaker 5: about this community. They make decisions based off this community.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Go to FABT.com.
- 41:44Speaker 8: They've been around here in Louisiana a long time, over
- 41:47Speaker 8: a century. They've been doing business with Louisiana families, Louisiana businesses.
- 41:50Speaker 8: There's generations of families that have been banking with First
- 41:53Speaker 8: American right here in Louisiana. So if you've got a
- 41:56Speaker 8: banking need, whether it's a business loan, maybe it's a
- 41:59Speaker 8: business bank account, whatever it is, make sure you're dealing
- 42:01Speaker 8: with the local people. First American Banking Trust, FABT.com.
- 42:04Speaker 5: What?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 42:14Speaker 1: to you by Poncho.
- 42:19Speaker 2: All right. Welcome back here.
- 42:24Speaker 7: Off the Bench.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Closing out the show.
- 42:30Speaker 7: Had a lot of energy in here today.
- 42:33Speaker 4: You know that?
- 42:41Speaker 8: When you think about energy, I want you to think
- 42:43Speaker 8: about Cateris. One company helping shape the future is Cateris.
- 42:46Speaker 8: Cateris developed the Commonwealth LNG Export Facility in Canberra Parish,
- 42:49Speaker 8: connecting American natural gas with customers around the world. Now
- 42:53Speaker 8: under construction after reaching its final investment decision in 2026,
- 42:56Speaker 8: the project represents a major investment in Louisiana's future.
- 42:59Speaker 4: But it's about more than just exporting energy.
- 43:01Speaker 8: It's about creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and strengthening communities,
- 43:05Speaker 8: and reinforcing Louisiana's position as one of the world's leading
- 43:08Speaker 8: energy hubs through its natural gas production and the Commonwealth
- 43:11Speaker 8: LNG project. Catalyst is helping build an integrated energy platform
- 43:15Speaker 8: that connects domestic resources with the growing global demand. So
- 43:19Speaker 8: as construction continues on Louisiana's Gulf Coast, Catalyst is proud
- 43:23Speaker 8: to invest in American energy, American workers, and a stronger
- 43:27Speaker 8: economic future. Catalyst, connecting Louisiana energy.
- 43:31Speaker 7: To the world.
- 43:34Speaker 6: All right, Ask the Bench.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Brought to you by our friends over at Dos Equis.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Always a great time to go for a dose. Drink
- 43:40Speaker 5: some Dos Equis.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Hashtag Ask the Bench.
- 43:47Speaker 5: With all the fog the last couple of days, has
- 43:49Speaker 5: Matt been using his emergency blinkers driving to work?
- 43:54Speaker 4: Yesterday, I didn't even notice the fog. Today, very foggy.
- 43:59Speaker 4: It was foggy.
- 44:02Speaker 6: Hashtag ask the bench.
- 44:04Speaker 5: With all the film study, would you say players on
- 44:07Speaker 5: the O-line.
- 44:08Speaker 6: Or scheme needs to change?
- 44:11Speaker 4: Oh, good question.
- 44:13Speaker 6: I think maybe tighten up some of the scheme stuff.
- 44:16Speaker 6: We talked about it.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to tighten up.
- 44:18Speaker 8: There's a lot of miscommunication, I feel like, or a
- 44:22Speaker 8: misdeclaration of the mic, or four people are doing the
- 44:26Speaker 8: right thing and one person misses an assignment, which looks terrible.
- 44:30Speaker 8: And yeah, people are getting beat some. But, like, we're
- 44:33Speaker 8: not just getting our ass kicked.
- 44:35Speaker 6: No.
- 44:35Speaker 4: There's no ass kicking going on.
- 44:37Speaker 5: Up front, it was much worse, I thought, a year
- 44:38Speaker 5: ago than it has been this year.
- 44:41Speaker 8: Dude, it's night and day from a year ago, but
- 44:43Speaker 8: that's not saying a whole lot.
- 44:44Speaker 4: True.
- 44:46Speaker 8: I didn't love the first half scheme this past week, but,
- 44:50Speaker 8: you know, we're not installing it, I don't think.
- 44:55Speaker 5: Hashtag Ask the Bench. What is the group Halloween costume
- 44:57Speaker 5: going to be? We've dabbled.
- 44:59Speaker 6: We've talked.
- 45:00Speaker 7: We need to get the masks.
- 45:01Speaker 6: Yeah, we talked about it.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Hashtag ask the bench, do you still use an analog clock?
- 45:09Speaker 6: Kids can't use them today. Sad.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Say it again? Analog clock?
- 45:13Speaker 7: Yep. I mean, I know how to read one if
- 45:17Speaker 7: it's around, but I don't have... I mean, I have
- 45:18Speaker 7: one in my house, but I'm not on my wrist. Yeah,
- 45:22Speaker 7: like the.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Yeah, like I'm not.
- 45:23Speaker 3: We got one for like decorative, but I'm not checking
- 45:26Speaker 3: it if I need the time.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I tell you, like my kids definitely learn the clock.
- 45:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 4: And there is.
- 45:31Speaker 8: Because I remember helping them with their homework and... They
- 45:34Speaker 8: were definitely learning how to tell time.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Is it analog? The hands are analog.
- 45:41Speaker 6: Hashtag ask the bench.
- 45:42Speaker 5: Has Flynn thought about how he's going to disappoint us
- 45:45Speaker 5: this week in the pontoon parlay?
- 45:46Speaker 4: No, I usually don't think about that until game time.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Game time, baby. I'm not a practice player.
- 45:52Speaker 7: That's why you're what? One in five?
- 45:53Speaker 5: Hashtag ask the bench. Do you prefer to stay in
- 45:55Speaker 5: daylight savings time? Worse.
- 45:58Speaker 6: Or do you want to stay in standard time, which
- 46:00Speaker 6: is when we.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Fall back soon?
- 46:01Speaker 3: I want to pick one and not move. Let's just
- 46:04Speaker 3: stay in one time the entire year. I do like
- 46:06Speaker 3: that one time we get extra sleep.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Hashtag Ask the Bench.
- 46:10Speaker 5: You guys prefer a man blocking scheme or a zone
- 46:12Speaker 5: blocking scheme?
- 46:13Speaker 4: And what type of play? Are you running play? Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 4: There's really not a man blocking.
- 46:18Speaker 3: No.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Man block's not really a thing.
- 46:21Speaker 5: A duo's considered that, but even then you have two
- 46:23Speaker 5: double teams that work to somebody else.
- 46:24Speaker 8: Unless they're running like jam fronts or a bear front.
- 46:27Speaker 8: Man blocking run schemes aren't really. I love inside zone.
- 46:30Speaker 5: If it's running the right way with a fullback like
- 46:31Speaker 5: the good Lord intended, go America.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Off the bench.
