- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, Hey, Hi, Well, how's it going.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey?
- 0:06Speaker 1: They're hi there, Ho there, You're as welcome as can be.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Who's the leader of the Clumbate's man for you and me?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Do you are th h y? This is bad. I
- 0:19Speaker 2: can't give Dorothy. I know well because I was like, well,
- 0:26Speaker 2: because I was like, I have to shorten this. I
- 0:27Speaker 2: have to get through a very short name with four names.
- 0:31Speaker 2: And then I was like, I'm fucked t H.
- 0:34Speaker 3: I A.
- 0:36Speaker 2: That's well, we did it. I suck on the LUNI.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Is part of the Odd Pods media network.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Hey, we have a guest.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Hiye, I guess our buddy c J accomplished podcaster radio personality.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Sometimes sometimes sometimes I don't know how much personality I have.
- 1:20Speaker 3: But I'm on the radio. I can say that. I mean,
- 1:22Speaker 3: there's that much.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You're from Jersey have personality.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's I think it's inherent right. But no, great,
- 1:31Speaker 3: great to be here. I I've known Aaron for a
- 1:33Speaker 3: long time, Christen has become a friend over the last
- 1:36Speaker 3: year or so, and Gina meeting for the first time.
- 1:38Speaker 3: But I like you too, so that works. I wish
- 1:41Speaker 3: I wish I had a drink with an umbrella in
- 1:43Speaker 3: it now that I'm thinking about it, but that's beside
- 1:45Speaker 3: the point just being you know, the woman. Actually, hey, listen,
- 1:50Speaker 3: this is the best thing about moving to Missouri. They
- 1:52Speaker 3: don't have this in New Jersey anymore. In the fact
- 1:53Speaker 3: that it's here, it's oh so good. Yeah. I haven't
- 1:56Speaker 3: seen an Arcy Cola in years. And when I walked
- 1:58Speaker 3: in and it was literally just in the store with
- 2:00Speaker 3: everything else, I was like, Oh my god, So.
- 2:03Speaker 1: What you're really gonna like is the affordable housing.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, well I will. I will put it
- 2:11Speaker 3: this way, my cost of living went down by about
- 2:13Speaker 3: sixty five percent from moving. But not even blinking an eye.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 2:18Speaker 5: It's good you save money for the tornado damage and
- 2:21Speaker 5: the deer heading your car.
- 2:22Speaker 3: So deer snowshovel you know that's all Jerseys they have that, yeah, deer. No,
- 2:30Speaker 3: the only the only thing that the when the airds
- 2:31Speaker 3: irons went off for the tornado the first time I
- 2:33Speaker 3: was old, that was a mind fuck.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Was it a real one or were they testing them?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Uh no, it was a real one. It didn't actually
- 2:39Speaker 3: touch down, thankfully, but it was at the point where
- 2:42Speaker 3: it was enough to trigger the damn siren.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And that was a yeah, you're going to get to
- 2:46Speaker 1: this stage where you're like, oh, fuck, okay, pull the
- 2:48Speaker 1: news up. Do I really have to go to the basement.
- 2:50Speaker 1: The only time I was not even close.
- 2:53Speaker 5: The only time I've been to Missouri, we spent an
- 2:55Speaker 5: entire night in a basement because of tornadoes.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You guys are doing that wrong. I've seen the movie
- 3:01Speaker 2: Twister and Twisters, and you're supposed to follow those right
- 3:06Speaker 2: on your truck, in your truck that has these special
- 3:09Speaker 2: things that anchor into the ground so you can watch
- 3:13Speaker 2: it from near it.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Dorothy's there's a.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Dorothy in there.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it all comes back around. No, I don't think
- 3:20Speaker 3: that's right though. I don't think that's a documentary ar
- 3:22Speaker 3: And just so you know, I think.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's tag disagree.
- 3:26Speaker 5: You can't use a belt to tie yourself to a water,
- 3:30Speaker 5: You're gonna be okay.
- 3:32Speaker 1: They had to emotionally tie her to a tornado. That's
- 3:35Speaker 1: the same guy in the Dougger Bear.
- 3:37Speaker 3: It's like, what, I love the first one, first one.
- 3:41Speaker 6: The first one is my favorite.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I haven't seen Twisters.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I really liked Twisters. I liked the relationship, the snarky fighting,
- 3:53Speaker 2: hate to love dynamic between the female and male lead
- 3:57Speaker 2: of Twisters. And I like the movie theater that was
- 4:01Speaker 2: a cool visual. But whatever, watch the movie. It was
- 4:05Speaker 2: years ago. It's not my fault. So what's up. Tell
- 4:08Speaker 2: us about your life other than being in Missouri.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Well in Missouri. Yeah, as you mentioned, I just moved
- 4:14Speaker 3: from Jersey. Those of you who may know me from
- 4:16Speaker 3: other worlds such as Potiescu and and radul air Waves
- 4:19Speaker 3: and even Running the Hamster Wheel, which was my first
- 4:21Speaker 3: podcast that I did so many years ago at this
- 4:24Speaker 3: point that nobody listened to, so I doubt what is that?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I need to know more about that.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Running the Hamster Wheel. I had a friend, Julie. She
- 4:33Speaker 3: was my my one of my best friend's wives, but
- 4:36Speaker 3: we we knew each other before they got married, so
- 4:38Speaker 3: I actually introduced them. So it's not one of those
- 4:40Speaker 3: things where like I never yeah, except not very good
- 4:44Speaker 3: at it. Well I guess I'm mad, but no. We
- 4:50Speaker 3: used to sit around and talk for hours and hours
- 4:52Speaker 3: and hours, right, and I at that point had just
- 4:54Speaker 3: gotten into podcasts and fixated on Kevin's Kevin Smith's podcast,
- 4:59Speaker 3: and and those of you that listen, which I'm sure
- 5:01Speaker 3: the three of you do and others that are listening
- 5:03Speaker 3: to this show. One of the things he used to
- 5:06Speaker 3: do at the end of every episode was literally beat
- 5:08Speaker 3: into your brain you should do this. You would say
- 5:11Speaker 3: it all the time. If you're not gonna put it other,
- 5:13Speaker 3: just sit down and do it. And I heard that
- 5:15Speaker 3: every day for eight hours, you know, and was like,
- 5:18Speaker 3: you know what, I should do this. And I realized
- 5:21Speaker 3: that the conversations that Julie and I used to have
- 5:23Speaker 3: were basically podcasts that we weren't recording. So I pitched
- 5:27Speaker 3: the idea to her, like, let's start recording one of
- 5:30Speaker 3: these once, you know. Every we started. We did it
- 5:32Speaker 3: bi weekly, so it was every two weeks. We were
- 5:34Speaker 3: doing every two week show. And I was like, listen,
- 5:36Speaker 3: down and do it. Let's just down and do it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And we did, and we rattled off I want to say,
- 5:40Speaker 3: like thirty episodes or so. It didn't do it didn't
- 5:42Speaker 3: last very long. Life gotten the way for both of us,
- 5:45Speaker 3: and then the three of us had a falling out
- 5:47Speaker 3: meeting her, her husband, and myself. I've be't spoken to
- 5:49Speaker 3: them now in almost ten years, which just had because
- 5:51Speaker 3: I do miss them. But at the same time, it
- 5:53Speaker 3: was it was that and then I took some time
- 5:55Speaker 3: off and then I got the bug. I got the
- 5:57Speaker 3: bug again, and I was part of the World is
- 6:01Speaker 3: Kevin Smith? The World of Kevin Smith on Facebook, and
- 6:03Speaker 3: I just put a post out there to everybody who
- 6:05Speaker 3: was like, Hey, I want to do a show. I
- 6:06Speaker 3: need a co host. I'm not funny enough to do
- 6:09Speaker 3: this shit by myself. I need someone to talk to
- 6:11Speaker 3: because I know people to could do it. I know
- 6:13Speaker 3: people could do a podcast and just talk to the
- 6:15Speaker 3: audience and succeed. And now, honestly, that was my biggest
- 6:17Speaker 3: fear when I did the radio show, is that I
- 6:19Speaker 3: had no one to bounce it off. It was gonna
- 6:21Speaker 3: be just me talking to the world. I was like,
- 6:22Speaker 3: nobody's gonna fucking listen to this thing. But yeah, but
- 6:25Speaker 3: I do in the podcast, and I got hit with
- 6:27Speaker 3: a bunch of different by hit up by a bunch
- 6:29Speaker 3: of different people who all had interesting ideas and interesting theories.
- 6:34Speaker 3: But I was concerned that it wasn't gonna work. And
- 6:36Speaker 3: for those of you they are here to know him.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Rico just sent me a link to his YouTube channel.
- 6:41Speaker 3: It's like, this is who I am. That was it.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Everyone else wrote me these like paragraphs like let's do
- 6:46Speaker 3: this and this will be the topics and blah blah
- 6:48Speaker 3: blah blah, the whole you know, business plan type things
- 6:51Speaker 3: or whatever. Rigo's just like, here's my YouTube channel done
- 6:55Speaker 3: Rigo's rants, and I went on. I watched about three
- 6:57Speaker 3: of his rants and I was like, this is the dude.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I gotta fucking off to all.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's meant to be.
- 7:03Speaker 3: It was, it was, and I have zero regrets about
- 7:06Speaker 3: any of it, except maybe the way that it ended.
- 7:08Speaker 3: But that's not It's just the way life goes sometimes.
- 7:11Speaker 3: But we we we did it for almost five years
- 7:16Speaker 3: and almost three hundred episodes and oh yeah yeah, and
- 7:20Speaker 3: I'm damn proud of every one of them. There's not
- 7:23Speaker 3: one of those. I mean, I'm sure we have a
- 7:25Speaker 3: couple we're like, all right, we probably could have done
- 7:27Speaker 3: that better, but you know what I mean, as a whole,
- 7:29Speaker 3: I'm damn proud of everyone. Even the opening of the
- 7:32Speaker 3: new songs. The very first recording we did, we barely
- 7:35Speaker 3: had any equipment. I had a crap mic, no sound
- 7:38Speaker 3: board directly into my computer. I barely got him recorded.
- 7:42Speaker 3: He was on his tablet with no earphones, no nothing,
- 7:47Speaker 3: and we recorded a three hour episode about the mc. Oh. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 3: our episodes. Our episodes ran long, Aaron can tell you intermission. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 3: our shortest, our shortest episode I think was forty five minutes.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And that was a fucking anomaly at our longest one.
- 8:04Speaker 3: And I don't know if I can count. This is
- 8:06Speaker 3: because we were we we got to a point where
- 8:07Speaker 3: we started doing movie commentaries where we would watch the
- 8:09Speaker 3: movie with the audience, so we wouldn't play the movie
- 8:12Speaker 3: for legal reasons, but we would tell you, hey, q
- 8:15Speaker 3: it up, hit play, countdown three, two, one, hit play,
- 8:18Speaker 3: and then we would watch the movie and commentate and say, hey,
- 8:20Speaker 3: if you want to watch along, whatever, Okay. We and
- 8:22Speaker 3: we did Endgame, and we did Infinity one End Game
- 8:25Speaker 3: back to back in the same recording we did Ath
- 8:27Speaker 3: movies and oh shit, yeah, we a lot for editing purposes.
- 8:32Speaker 3: We took like a half hour break and had dinner
- 8:34Speaker 3: and came back and did the second movie. But from
- 8:36Speaker 3: a from an actual like release perspective, it's all one episode, wow,
- 8:41Speaker 3: of both movies. So that's I think that one came out.
- 8:43Speaker 3: The six hours and twenty minutes or something was the
- 8:49Speaker 3: length of the episode when it was all said and
- 8:51Speaker 3: done because of the length of the movies. So yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 3: but yeah, our episode averaged like two three hours. Easy.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Now, okay, now it is your show. I believe right
- 9:02Speaker 2: that originally brought Kevin to be a to give odd
- 9:06Speaker 2: pods there his back or whatever.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Yeah, actually no, I wish I could take that credit,
- 9:12Speaker 3: I really do. But no, that was married with Television.
- 9:17Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah, Jamie Caddi, he is knowing her as well. She did.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Now if you want, if you want to go roundabout
- 9:23Speaker 3: way to get there, yeah, because I'm the one to
- 9:25Speaker 3: say we need Married with TV in the network and
- 9:28Speaker 3: if ye done, yeah, we don't get.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Him back to CJ.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but I met Walt one year. We met Walt
- 9:38Speaker 3: plan again up in Red Bank and I gave him one.
- 9:40Speaker 3: This is before even the one we did Aaron where
- 9:42Speaker 3: we were up there's a different yeah, crypt the Red
- 9:44Speaker 3: Bank that I took and I gave him one of
- 9:47Speaker 3: the pot Aescu stickers and I said, yeah, and I'm
- 9:50Speaker 3: sorry he gets that ship all the time, and he was.
- 9:52Speaker 3: He was very gracious about it. Don't get me wrong.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I'm not trying to say anything bit about Walt. So
- 9:55Speaker 3: he starts to walk away, and he stops and he
- 9:57Speaker 3: turns back and he goes, so it's about Kevin. And
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm like, no, oh no, no, no, no, very inspired by
- 10:02Speaker 3: but not about Kevin, and he goes, oh. And then
- 10:04Speaker 3: and then he actually started talking to me a little bit.
- 10:05Speaker 3: We talked about it a little bit. But then what
- 10:07Speaker 3: I also didn't want to do was I just overloaded
- 10:09Speaker 3: him with with podcast off and then happened to be
- 10:12Speaker 3: doing football season. It was me and him and the
- 10:15Speaker 3: guy from Tennessee that they used to have all the
- 10:17Speaker 3: time on Tesdy. I'm trying to think of his name
- 10:20Speaker 3: now I'm blanking. I think it was Tennessee. Anyway, it
- 10:22Speaker 3: was one of the regulars from from Tesdy. We sat
- 10:25Speaker 3: around talked football for like, you know, an hour, and
- 10:30Speaker 3: there was no podcast talk. It was just like I
- 10:32Speaker 3: was talking to any of my other friends and sitting
- 10:34Speaker 3: there talking to the wall Flanning and football, you know,
- 10:36Speaker 3: just whatever.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So I just can do that.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's weird, Yeah, I mean I think, oh, I know,
- 10:42Speaker 3: women can do it. I mean mayeah.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I know. I probably would have been like, what's up,
- 10:46Speaker 2: what's your opinion of? Uh, the fact that Aaron Rodgers
- 10:49Speaker 2: is a thousand years old and my quarterback.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Well at the time I think he was still was
- 10:53Speaker 3: Green Bay, but yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah he was. No, I know, I just that's the
- 10:56Speaker 2: only sports thing I can think of right, this second thing.
- 10:58Speaker 3: But yeah, I did that, and then I was doing
- 11:00Speaker 3: we did some live shows on a thing called Good Vocal.
- 11:03Speaker 3: So it was like this format where the four of
- 11:05Speaker 3: us are right now, except everyone else could see it,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and there was a chat room like a running live
- 11:09Speaker 3: chat room, and we just did that for a while
- 11:11Speaker 3: in addition to potuscue, so we were doing he was
- 11:15Speaker 3: really at one point at a height if you will,
- 11:18Speaker 3: Rigo was reading the people on Thursdays and the thing
- 11:20Speaker 3: he called dog Ear where he literally was reading Harry
- 11:23Speaker 3: Potter to people. But Rico does voices, as Aaron knows,
- 11:27Speaker 3: he's very voice voice, so he was doing like snape
- 11:33Speaker 3: what he actually does. He actually does Alan Rickman, It's amazing,
- 11:36Speaker 3: So he was actually doing Rickman as Snake, but like
- 11:39Speaker 3: but he also like Jeremy Irons I think was Harry
- 11:42Speaker 3: or something like it. He was just picking and then
- 11:46Speaker 3: so he was doing that on Thursdays. On Fridays, we
- 11:49Speaker 3: were doing this thing called Good Vocal, which was live
- 11:51Speaker 3: Potter basically live Potescue. We were still putting out episodes
- 11:55Speaker 3: of Potesscue every week, and then I met the DJ
- 11:57Speaker 3: from radio Airwaves on the Good Vocal, and I started
- 12:00Speaker 3: doing radio shows right after his reading thing on Thursdays
- 12:03Speaker 3: and then Saturday, so from Thursday to Monday, it was
- 12:07Speaker 3: literally just every week at our height. That's what we
- 12:11Speaker 3: were doing.
- 12:12Speaker 1: That's fun.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well I wanted. I decided to pull up a
- 12:15Speaker 2: picture because we need to apologize to you because when
- 12:18Speaker 2: you said Snape, we all laughed at you, and we
- 12:20Speaker 2: didn't laugh at you because of anything you were saying.
- 12:23Speaker 2: But when I died my hair blue a few days ago,
- 12:27Speaker 2: I realized that thanks to the chubby cheeks sagging in
- 12:31Speaker 2: my loss of elasticity, that I now look like Snape
- 12:34Speaker 2: with my dark hair.
- 12:36Speaker 1: And so page three d ninety four.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so they lived through the Uh oh, I very
- 12:43Speaker 2: much Snape Snake.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Like Snape now Snape dumbled all. That's still one of
- 12:51Speaker 1: my favorite YouTube videos and puppets. Yeah yeah, yeah, seek
- 12:57Speaker 1: it out kids, Yeah, but also seek out living with
- 13:00Speaker 1: Jigsaw because that will be forever my most family. You
- 13:06Speaker 1: have a favorite old YouTube video.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Cj oh Man, Yeah, you know what I do, I do,
- 13:11Speaker 3: and it's this I don't know that actually has a name.
- 13:14Speaker 3: It's just called I just know. When it's drinking out
- 13:16Speaker 3: of cups. It's this lizard being a bit what.
- 13:25Speaker 6: I wait here and watch it.
- 13:28Speaker 3: No way, no way, way, Oh yeah, I love that thing.
- 13:32Speaker 3: That did makes me laugh every time i've.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Hands kids cartoon or guy was like on a trip
- 13:42Speaker 5: and his friends are recording it.
- 13:44Speaker 3: It's not even that I look, I've looked at that.
- 13:46Speaker 3: That's the Urban Myths version. Okay, it's actually a comedic performer.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He just started riffing.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And then someone wrote the The funny thing is like
- 13:57Speaker 3: like when he was.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Saying, like you think he's tripping, he's sober.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Right, but that's not what he was going for. He
- 14:02Speaker 3: was okay, but what happened was like and then but
- 14:06Speaker 3: like when he says it christ and you remember he
- 14:08Speaker 3: says he look at that kid back there going crazy.
- 14:11Speaker 3: There was no kid. He was just talking. And then
- 14:13Speaker 3: someone made the graphic to put the kid behind him doing.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I gotta look this up.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It's it's only what I want to say. Five minutes
- 14:21Speaker 3: if that like, it's not even it's short, but it's
- 14:24Speaker 3: very short.
- 14:25Speaker 5: But it's super fun with my friends and I always
- 14:27Speaker 5: see horses but.
- 14:28Speaker 3: As yeah, yeah, actually so it's funny, you know, Christian
- 14:35Speaker 3: and So I watched the show cut in Master. I
- 14:37Speaker 3: watched it.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I'm very o my friend was on that show. Your
- 14:41Speaker 2: friend was, Yeah, she got sent home right away and
- 14:44Speaker 2: then did the like revenge revenge, Yeah, like the redemption
- 14:49Speaker 2: Hillary Princess Hillah.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, she used.
- 14:55Speaker 2: To be snow White at Disneyland and then worked at
- 14:57Speaker 2: Hooters at the same time. And when sometimes see the
- 15:00Speaker 2: same dads twice in one.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Day, I don't doubt that interesting. They did this last episode,
- 15:09Speaker 3: they did a flash challenge where they were just doing
- 15:10Speaker 3: flash tattoos, like those little tiny ones that are like,
- 15:13Speaker 3: yeahite oranges, and the one girl did seahorses with like
- 15:16Speaker 3: sexy legs with like the penny and the fish net
- 15:19Speaker 3: stockings on it. And Christen yeah, almost like a pin up.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 3: And my immediate thought, Kristen when I saw it was
- 15:26Speaker 3: like seahorses forever, Like I.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I didn't know there was a new season out yet.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, oh yeah, it's episode six already.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Okay, I missed, uh, what's his name not Dave Girlrow?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Thank you missed the New Guys, not bad news.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Fine, I just like Tomorrow. He's nice to look at.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I didn't see I Miss Nunie is honestly like I
- 15:54Speaker 3: like her. Yeah, he did, does a great job as
- 15:57Speaker 3: a judge. But I dj I would pay. Oh, I
- 16:01Speaker 3: wouldn't because I can't afford it. But I would get it.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I would get a tattoo from DJ time day without
- 16:05Speaker 3: about it. That dude's amazing, great show bringing up good
- 16:09Speaker 3: She did the thing any Christmases I saw and I
- 16:11Speaker 3: said that in my horses forever.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Write this down. Lizards drinking out of cups.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Drinking. Just search on Google drinking.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Oh I thought you said lizards drinking. There's okay, drinking
- 16:27Speaker 1: out of cups.
- 16:28Speaker 2: You also should look up see now I can't remember
- 16:31Speaker 2: the name of it. It was an e BOMs world
- 16:34Speaker 2: thing and they're like, okay, so the world, we've got
- 16:37Speaker 2: a problem. But I am lay tired. Okay, take a nap.
- 16:43Speaker 3: And oh the early internet it was so good like
- 16:49Speaker 3: Star Wars. Kids remember Star Wars? Yes, yes, poor kid,
- 16:53Speaker 3: I heard he got like bullied the ship.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I think he took his own life.
- 16:58Speaker 3: No, I think he's all right. No, okay, I think
- 17:00Speaker 3: that was one another one of those like things that.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Okay, good, I'm glad he didn't.
- 17:05Speaker 2: No, he is.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Alive, Yeah I do.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I do think he ended up like in a hospital,
- 17:10Speaker 3: not like yeah, like he did in a not okay
- 17:13Speaker 3: for a little while.
- 17:14Speaker 2: But people are mean, why is it that the male
- 17:18Speaker 2: with you? Why is it that the male guests I
- 17:21Speaker 2: bring to the show make me sad? So CJ made
- 17:24Speaker 2: me sad when I thought the Star Wars kid might
- 17:26Speaker 2: be dead. And not to mention, we had Josh who
- 17:28Speaker 2: like broke my heart a few weeks back about the
- 17:32Speaker 2: dead squirrel.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Oh right, his friend there was friend this buddy. Yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I forgot about that.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah, the squirrel that came to Josh hit by the car. No,
- 17:43Speaker 2: thank god. Okay, you're opposed to if you like girls
- 17:47Speaker 2: two out of three. Oh I hope you're listening to
- 17:52Speaker 2: this show right now, James. I hope we've made a
- 17:55Speaker 2: fan out of you. Yes, yeah, let's let's not get married, though, jam,
- 18:00Speaker 2: Let's build our craft.
- 18:01Speaker 1: They don't even want roommates, so yeah, you can have
- 18:04Speaker 1: a long distance marriage for legal Let's.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Just share your workshop's let's so.
- 18:09Speaker 3: I just want to confirm he is alive. And well,
- 18:12Speaker 3: thank you.
- 18:14Speaker 1: He good wishes to you Star Wars kids.
- 18:17Speaker 3: He did have you know, some issues, but yeah, he's
- 18:21Speaker 3: alive and well.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Okay, thank you.
- 18:23Speaker 2: All right, let's get him on the show.
- 18:25Speaker 3: All right, if you get Star Wars kidd on, I
- 18:27Speaker 3: want to come back because I want to be there
- 18:28Speaker 3: for that.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I like, what's his actual name, his first name.
- 18:33Speaker 3: I'm going to try to pronounce it because it's it's weird.
- 18:36Speaker 3: It's a gizzling Raza. It's his full name. It's g
- 18:40Speaker 3: y s l a I n Raza.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Oh okay, was he not American?
- 18:45Speaker 3: No, he's Canadian actually.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, gizzling gizzling gizmo. I'm gonna call you gizmo.
- 18:53Speaker 1: There you go, not you gizmo.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:56Speaker 2: He's pursuing a doctoral Sudies in law.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Yeah, because he sued over this thing. He won two
- 19:04Speaker 3: hundred fifty thousand Canadian from his classmates that were bullying
- 19:07Speaker 3: him over that. That's your point. Like he did get
- 19:10Speaker 3: he went through some ship, but he's not He didn't
- 19:12Speaker 3: harm himself or anything.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you can. You could get money for getting bullied.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I don't know what the legal.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Uh well, I mean there the internet was still moving.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I don't know it's Canada. Yeah, yeah, fuck, how do.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I do that? I'm sure I've said some bully publicly
- 19:28Speaker 2: multiple times of that person.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I've been made fun of. Yeah, I've been bullied. Can
- 19:34Speaker 1: I have some money?
- 19:35Speaker 2: I have a recent like the Statute of Limitations is
- 19:38Speaker 2: not up on my recent bullying. Let's let's sue all
- 19:42Speaker 2: the time. So yeah, oh yeah, I mean obviously that's
- 19:46Speaker 2: what I meant. Hey, well, this seems like a good
- 19:49Speaker 2: time to awkwardly back into those hedges, like Homer, you
- 19:53Speaker 2: guys are going to listen to these commercials and you're
- 19:55Speaker 2: going to fucking love them.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Trust me, But I have to do some talking.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Yeah, we got stuff to do first there.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Just kidding, haaa, suck my dick. Let's do this gin.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I didn't Bullyeve about episode.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Thanks Kristin, I will.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Could I just say, it's been a while since asked
- 20:13Speaker 3: anyone to at least that I've been around for to
- 20:14Speaker 3: hear her ask anyone suck sucker dick.
- 20:16Speaker 2: So I don't think I've said suck my dick. I
- 20:20Speaker 2: don't think I've said that in a while, to be honest,
- 20:22Speaker 2: do you bring out the wild side?
- 20:23Speaker 3: I remember you're saying in red.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the closest thing was we got a
- 20:28Speaker 2: shit fuck.
- 20:30Speaker 1: You have to speak like them.
- 20:32Speaker 3: True.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Okay, we're watching the end of season two.
- 20:37Speaker 8: You're here to Milestone CJ two, episode twenty six, back
- 20:42Speaker 8: when shows had twenty six episodes, empty nests with the
- 20:46Speaker 8: s on the end.
- 20:48Speaker 3: What that means?
- 20:48Speaker 1: The original air date May sixteenth, nineteen eighty seven, written
- 20:53Speaker 1: by the creator Susan Harris, directed by Jay Sandrich. Now
- 20:59Speaker 1: based on the title even though we've kind of told
- 21:01Speaker 1: you all, what do you think?
- 21:03Speaker 5: It's about a bunch of couples whose kids have all
- 21:07Speaker 5: moved out and so they're entering the next stage of
- 21:10Speaker 5: their life.
- 21:11Speaker 1: That makes sense.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I actually remember the episode Oh you do Okay, I do,
- 21:16Speaker 3: so I kind of remember.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't ask you how much you watched this show.
- 21:20Speaker 3: No, I watched it as it aired. Okay, I watched
- 21:23Speaker 3: the original run my mom, So, my mom, I was.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Like two, So you must be slightly older than me.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I am forty five. So and my mom, who will
- 21:35Speaker 3: not be upset, not that she's gonna listen to this anyway,
- 21:37Speaker 3: but if she did, would not be upset by me
- 21:38Speaker 3: saying this is substantially older for being my mom concerned,
- 21:41Speaker 3: you know, from an actual age perfective, Okay, And so
- 21:44Speaker 3: she was a she was a huge fan of like
- 21:48Speaker 3: on Saturday nights, we would watch this and we were
- 21:50Speaker 3: and we would do TGI Fridays.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Right, they were on Saturday nights.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Saturday nights. And there was some other shows that
- 21:56Speaker 3: I know we're going to kind of allude to later,
- 21:58Speaker 3: so I'm trying not to go there right now, but yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 3: there were other shows. Hold it in. But yeah, so
- 22:04Speaker 3: I used to watch the show all the time, and
- 22:05Speaker 3: then obviously with it being in syndication, I actually had
- 22:08Speaker 3: an ex who would literally just spend her entire Saturday
- 22:11Speaker 3: watching Nickelodeon, which is on Saturday basically nick at Night
- 22:15Speaker 3: and rerunning like this and Ray Romano and Roseanne and
- 22:18Speaker 3: all those shows. So I've seen a lot of Golden Girls.
- 22:22Speaker 3: The only thing I didn't remember until I looked it
- 22:24Speaker 3: up because I was just curious was the Golden I
- 22:26Speaker 3: think they called it Golden Palace.
- 22:28Speaker 2: It was, yeah, the elusive We'll get there eventually. Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So yeah, but you and Christen are you and Aaron
- 22:35Speaker 1: were only what six when it aired? Do you really
- 22:37Speaker 1: remember watching it.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we watched it religiously. It was appointment television
- 22:43Speaker 2: in my house here. Okay, what I'm learning is that
- 22:47Speaker 2: I'm the person I am today largely based on Susan
- 22:50Speaker 2: Harris because a lot of my early snark came from
- 22:54Speaker 2: watching Benston and that was a Susan Harris show. Same
- 22:58Speaker 2: with Empty Nest was a suit and obviously Harry show.
- 23:02Speaker 2: So a lot of the things my family watched in
- 23:04Speaker 2: the eighties were all Susan Harris based shows.
- 23:07Speaker 3: And I hope this isn't too controversial, but I will remember.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I will say that on my second watching, like when
- 23:12Speaker 3: on the on the the with the x Will running
- 23:15Speaker 3: it all the time and me observing it, I realized
- 23:18Speaker 3: Blanche is a pretty terrible human being.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, she's not.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Great, she's aside, but like Dorothy's just cranky, right, in
- 23:28Speaker 1: my opinion, Darthy's just cranky.
- 23:30Speaker 2: He didn't get late enough. I sympathize with Dorothy in
- 23:34Speaker 2: many ways.
- 23:35Speaker 3: And and Sophia, Sophia really isn't actually even bad. She
- 23:40Speaker 3: her stuff is purely just to be that way, but
- 23:43Speaker 3: I don't think she actually is that way.
- 23:44Speaker 6: She's just blunt, right.
- 23:46Speaker 2: She had that stroke, the stroke affected the part of
- 23:49Speaker 2: her brain that kept her filmmaking. Yeah, she took her filter,
- 23:54Speaker 2: so she's like that medically.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Okay, sure, where's Blanche is? Just I mean, she's right
- 24:01Speaker 3: there with Zach Morris like at this.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Point, oh Blanch, Yeah, damn it. Now I want to
- 24:08Speaker 2: watch now, I want to watch Zach Morris's trash again.
- 24:11Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean that they should have done a
- 24:12Speaker 3: show together. It I would have been interesting. I'll tell
- 24:14Speaker 3: you that right now.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I'll tell you what now you're not I'm not spoiling anything.
- 24:19Speaker 2: We've already talked about what the shows might be about.
- 24:21Speaker 2: But I will tell you there are some episodes, not today's,
- 24:27Speaker 2: but there are some episodes that Rose is actually kind
- 24:31Speaker 2: of a terrible bitch too, because she's so judgy, she's
- 24:35Speaker 2: so prudish about things.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, they all have a negative component. But yeah, I
- 24:40Speaker 2: think Blanche as a whole does not hold up as
- 24:43Speaker 2: well in twenty twenty five as the other characters did.
- 24:47Speaker 3: And I think, I mean without getting all whole philosophical conversation.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I think you can do that on several shows. It's
- 24:52Speaker 3: not just this show or say by the Bell. But yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 3: just going back on it, like yeah, yeah, Blanche is
- 24:58Speaker 3: not exactly a nice human being. Also, like what ages
- 25:03Speaker 3: they're supposed to be, Like, I know people those ages,
- 25:05Speaker 3: and I'm like, they look don old for what they're
- 25:07Speaker 3: supposed to be here like this, doesn't we talk.
- 25:10Speaker 1: About this a lot? He looks different than it used to.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Yeah, their husbands are all already dead and I haven't
- 25:19Speaker 2: met mine yet and I'm only ten years away from
- 25:22Speaker 2: how old they are. Like that's a scary thing. Time.
- 25:27Speaker 2: They had ten years to kill him.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Off, yeah, mirriam and then he dies.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Pull and then I should go back through some exes
- 25:34Speaker 2: because there are a few that no one will care
- 25:36Speaker 2: if they live.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I want to hear this Irish guy? How about him?
- 25:40Speaker 2: Oh, Puck lives up here. Now we have named a
- 25:44Speaker 2: little bit. Was real name is Patrick?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Of course it is.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Right?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but he was one of many Patrick's, I think,
- 25:54Speaker 2: even just in his family. So he goes by Puck
- 25:57Speaker 2: and he's up in Washington somewhere. We talked a little,
- 26:01Speaker 2: but ultimately I threw him away because I just was
- 26:05Speaker 2: I was only a few years past having thyroid cancer
- 26:08Speaker 2: in COVID, and so I was like, no, you're actively
- 26:12Speaker 2: still working as a chef around people. You're not gonna
- 26:14Speaker 2: come to my house and hang out with me with
- 26:16Speaker 2: your COVID fucking germs. Get out of here. And then
- 26:19Speaker 2: I moved far far away.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'll do it.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Nothing breaks someone up like moving twelve hundred miles away.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that'll do it.
- 26:32Speaker 2: We do another fun thing where although I really liked
- 26:35Speaker 2: when James had to do it last week and I
- 26:38Speaker 2: got to sit back and not do anything, but we
- 26:41Speaker 2: pick a villain of the episode. Now the point is
- 26:44Speaker 2: to make me have to use my powers of persuasion
- 26:47Speaker 2: and bullshitting. So you probably don't want to pick Like
- 26:52Speaker 2: we've established Blanches a bad guy a lot. Probably you're
- 26:56Speaker 2: not going to want to pick her because it's going
- 26:57Speaker 2: to be easier for me. But yeah, so one of
- 27:00Speaker 2: the main four girls, or if you're Aaron Randolph, you
- 27:02Speaker 2: can pick capitalism.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Why am I not surprised that was his pick?
- 27:08Speaker 2: Like that doesn't every time every everything tries for capitalists.
- 27:13Speaker 1: We did it once.
- 27:14Speaker 2: We did it the one time and it worked out
- 27:16Speaker 2: for me because it was about buying stuff. That episode
- 27:20Speaker 2: was about. That was the holiday one. I think it
- 27:22Speaker 2: was a toilet.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I don't remember if he's in the episode, but I
- 27:25Speaker 3: can almost always point to Dorothy's X too, because he's stamping.
- 27:30Speaker 2: We've made Aaron our stand if you.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Wouldn't be here. Yeah, I mean, no offense, it's just.
- 27:41Speaker 2: You know, who should be offended is Eddie Pence. I
- 27:43Speaker 2: replaced him as Stan pre booked early on. He's a
- 27:49Speaker 2: busy guys kids in sports.
- 27:51Speaker 1: So CJ and Kristen. Who will the villain be that
- 27:54Speaker 1: Aaron convinced you the villain? You have to agree on one? Yeah?
- 27:59Speaker 3: Oh god, I'm trying to remember who's in there. You
- 28:01Speaker 3: have to pick it now, christ please go first. I
- 28:05Speaker 3: need a minute.
- 28:06Speaker 2: There's only four women.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Oh I didn't.
- 28:12Speaker 2: One of them.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Oh I think I missed that. Okay, my bad.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Okay, we're not the best of explaining.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Based on want to remember of this because again I
- 28:20Speaker 3: kind of remember this episode. I'm going to kind of
- 28:21Speaker 3: go with Dorothy.
- 28:22Speaker 6: I think I think Dorothy is a good pick.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you think Dorothy is a good pick because you
- 28:27Speaker 2: like when I have to make one of us.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I don't like it when you pick up
- 28:32Speaker 5: my girl Rose, so I can pick a my girl.
- 28:34Speaker 9: I don't.
- 28:35Speaker 2: It's fine, I don't care. I'll build a case for whatever.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Dorothy, it shall be sold. The point has been stricken
- 28:42Speaker 1: in the words Kristin. So now you can throw the
- 28:45Speaker 1: commercial sunshine.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Oh hey, now it's a good time to tell you
- 28:50Speaker 2: guys that you're really going to fucking enjoy these commercials.
- 28:53Speaker 2: They are goddamn shit. It's kind of like Missy and
- 28:58Speaker 2: bring it on. They're the poos. Take a big whiff.
- 29:01Speaker 2: We'll be back after this. Guys.
- 29:04Speaker 9: Hey, Jeff, what are we doing?
- 29:06Speaker 10: Why are you whispering?
- 29:07Speaker 9: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us.
- 29:10Speaker 9: Unless we take massive efforts to protect our online privacy,
- 29:13Speaker 9: all the details of our lives will be in the
- 29:15Speaker 9: hands of mega corporations.
- 29:16Speaker 10: Okay, sure, but this is the promo for our podcast.
- 29:20Speaker 10: We need people to be able to hear us this time.
- 29:22Speaker 9: Why do we need a promo?
- 29:24Speaker 10: Oh funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 29:26Speaker 10: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 29:27Speaker 9: Are they one of those global conglomerates.
- 29:30Speaker 10: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 29:32Speaker 10: great shows like ours.
- 29:34Speaker 9: Well, is there anything specific we need to say?
- 29:36Speaker 10: We should probably tell them what our podcast is about.
- 29:38Speaker 9: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 29:41Speaker 9: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 29:44Speaker 9: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 29:47Speaker 9: all buttholes.
- 29:48Speaker 10: I don't think we should say buttholes in the promo.
- 29:51Speaker 9: Eh, but we already did twice.
- 29:54Speaker 10: Join us every other Monday for new episodes of suggested
- 29:57Speaker 10: articles a podcast.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 30:02Speaker 2: We did it. We watched it, and if you didn't
- 30:05Speaker 2: at home, I guess pause us.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Commercial.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you had one job and you failed to go.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But to the people who did it right, we're so Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Gold Star is so.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Proud of you.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Have you, guys, ever thought of doing it? Like I
- 30:24Speaker 3: told you, we did things on where you watch it
- 30:27Speaker 3: with the sound off and like commentate it live, don't
- 30:29Speaker 3: do the pause like you do.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I don't know if we've discussed that. Something to think about.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, open.
- 30:39Speaker 1: To the idea. You hearing me and Aaron going, oh
- 30:42Speaker 1: that dress ugly?
- 30:45Speaker 6: I'm quiet because I'm taking notes.
- 30:48Speaker 2: It would just upset Christen probably.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah, shut up. I bet that's going to be a question.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I didn't hear it.
- 30:56Speaker 6: No, That's why I have subtitles on did you take notes?
- 31:00Speaker 3: No? But I'm usually pretty good at observing. So I'm
- 31:02Speaker 3: gonna just try. I'm gonna try.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I have not had an errand quiz.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I have not. I have not, and that's okay. You listen,
- 31:10Speaker 3: if I can, if I can go over on b
- 31:12Speaker 3: F I tw for as long as I did, I
- 31:13Speaker 3: think I can. So, I mean, like, in all.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Likelihood, Crystal win. But I'm okay with it. I beat
- 31:19Speaker 1: her twice. That's it.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Holroonic would be if I came here one the first
- 31:26Speaker 3: time after all those.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Loss Hey, I need to start talking to my guests
- 31:33Speaker 2: a little more before the show happened, so that I
- 31:36Speaker 2: can like have plants that have all the answers, just
- 31:40Speaker 2: some secrets. In's face, it's.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Like I'm getting my ass kicked every week.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I don't understand. These guys are so good.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I would figure it out.
- 31:49Speaker 2: She would. She's very smart, she would know anyway. Well,
- 31:54Speaker 2: we've talked about this quite a bit. Should we just
- 31:57Speaker 2: jump right into the quiz?
- 31:58Speaker 3: Hey? Can I just say real quickly, it's not the
- 32:02Speaker 3: episode I remembered at all.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Oh were you just thinking of an episode of Empty Nests?
- 32:08Speaker 3: Well? I know I remember that because it seems like
- 32:10Speaker 3: they've changed actors and names and all types of things,
- 32:14Speaker 3: and I remember remember actually blending together more seamlessly. So
- 32:19Speaker 3: that's yeah, I don't know.
- 32:20Speaker 1: You will see the new guy on the show later,
- 32:24Speaker 1: so maybe you were just conflating that in your mind.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Maybe. But even even though one character, I guess I'm
- 32:30Speaker 3: not allowed to say names that I want to fuck
- 32:31Speaker 3: up the quiz here, but.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Like, it's okay, I'll tell you if you quiz.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Okay, So because like Oliver, that's not his name on
- 32:38Speaker 3: the same dude, but not on Empty Nests, so like it.
- 32:42Speaker 3: It threw me off a little bit, and the daughter
- 32:44Speaker 3: is different too, but that's whatever. That's less, you know.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Right, it got retooled a lot. We'll talk about it.
- 32:50Speaker 2: The house and the friends stayed, but yeah, it's that's
- 32:54Speaker 2: that was my impression of watching this was, oh shit,
- 32:57Speaker 2: I didn't realize how we got to where we got
- 33:00Speaker 2: to get to Empty Nest.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's exactly what I was thinking too.
- 33:05Speaker 2: And yeah, so all right, well let's let's go over
- 33:08Speaker 2: the rules of the quiz, shall we. Your name is
- 33:13Speaker 2: your buzzer. If you know the answer, you need to
- 33:15Speaker 2: say your name faster than Kristen, which is hard, and
- 33:19Speaker 2: then I will say, okay, or something like that, and
- 33:24Speaker 2: then you answer please wait for me to finish the
- 33:26Speaker 2: whole question.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And I think that's it, and remember to have fun.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I will say this quiz today is ten questions.
- 33:39Speaker 1: That's a short one for you.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I'm not done, don't worry.
- 33:47Speaker 6: Answer.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a short essay. No, there's ten questions that
- 33:52Speaker 2: are traditional quiz questions for the episode, there is one
- 33:55Speaker 2: no stump bonus, and then just for everybody at home,
- 34:00Speaker 2: because I'm a school teacher at heart, there's a cumulative
- 34:03Speaker 2: review for season two that's comprised of six questions.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Oh, I'm fucked on that one, I think, but that's okay.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That's okay. I think they might be fucked on them.
- 34:14Speaker 2: So let's see. Kristen asked if this portion could be
- 34:18Speaker 2: open notes. I said it could. But here's the thing.
- 34:22Speaker 2: There's only six questions and I'm not going to sit
- 34:24Speaker 2: here all day for you to check your notes. So
- 34:27Speaker 2: this is really more about the retention and do you
- 34:30Speaker 2: pass from season two to season three. Let's get started.
- 34:34Speaker 3: We fail, We're off the show. I was eliminated from the.
- 34:40Speaker 2: No I can't week, but yeah, I can't. I can't
- 34:44Speaker 2: actually afford to lose them. All right, how here we go?
- 34:48Speaker 2: Are you ready? How did uncle how Nope, I'm not ready.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Uncle.
- 34:55Speaker 2: How did Uncle Gustav dry the dishes after his giant
- 34:59Speaker 2: Swiss army knife accident? Yes?
- 35:03Speaker 6: With his feet?
- 35:04Speaker 2: Okay, point Kristen, what is the name of Renee and
- 35:08Speaker 2: George's daughter that just went Oh you pause, I'm I'm
- 35:15Speaker 2: really sorry. I have to breathe. What is the name
- 35:19Speaker 2: of Renee and George's daughter that went to college?
- 35:22Speaker 6: Kristin, Yes, Jenny.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Why doesn't Rose tell Charlie that she had empty nest syndrome?
- 35:33Speaker 3: Gina?
- 35:35Speaker 1: Oh that was close, but it was Gina because when
- 35:39Speaker 1: she was gonna tell me died that night.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Right, dare so inconvenient? So rude? What's rude?
- 35:50Speaker 2: What does Sophia say that Saint Francis of Assisi's wife
- 35:53Speaker 2: probably said to him?
- 35:55Speaker 5: Kristin, Yes, Frank enough, donkey yeah mm hmmm.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Okay, This next one is a list. I need you
- 36:05Speaker 2: to tell me to get one point. I need you
- 36:07Speaker 2: to tell me the three men that have seen Rose naked.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Kristen, okay, Charlie the vet and George.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yes, okay, is your buddec ever working everybody else.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Just okay, I was retaining. I didn't get there in time,
- 36:25Speaker 3: that's all. It's hard to beat the buzzer. Here.
- 36:29Speaker 2: She's quick, she's fucking quick. All right. What is mister
- 36:33Speaker 2: Schechter's great news?
- 36:36Speaker 6: Kristen?
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yeah he peed? Oh right, okay, all right, next question,
- 36:45Speaker 2: why does Jenny want to quit school?
- 36:48Speaker 9: Kristen?
- 36:50Speaker 2: I thought, okay, all right, go ahead.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Because he was living with somebody else, he moved on,
- 36:59Speaker 5: he found another.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, what year is it in your house?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Okay? I just don't like when people go with a female.
- 37:13Speaker 2: He moved on and got another girlfriend, blonde goddess. Point Kristen,
- 37:19Speaker 2: We're gonna go on.
- 37:22Speaker 1: You could do it, CJ.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I know you can do this. I'm trying. I'm trying.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Who is Dorothy's first love?
- 37:31Speaker 6: Kristen?
- 37:32Speaker 2: I remember, Oh, you're not so happy to buzz in now,
- 37:35Speaker 2: are you? Oh?
- 37:35Speaker 6: I just feel guilty. It's Larry Ragan Eddie.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yep, I must have been looking up another bit.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Of trivia and yeah, same here.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Okay, this next one, this is a two parter. It's
- 37:49Speaker 2: worth two points. I ask that you let me finish
- 37:54Speaker 2: both questions. How many personalities? Just chuck have and which
- 38:00Speaker 2: one leaves with Sophia and Rose.
- 38:03Speaker 6: Kristen, Yes, Chuck, mister fix it and Boris And mister.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I didn't ask you that yet.
- 38:11Speaker 6: You said, what were the three personalities?
- 38:13Speaker 2: I said how many? Okay, well, we don't have a
- 38:16Speaker 2: no stump bonus anymore, but you can have the two points.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I don't know if she finished answering who left with them?
- 38:24Speaker 2: Mister Okay, okay, I know you knew it.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to hear you, you know, get it
- 38:29Speaker 1: out there.
- 38:29Speaker 2: There are just ten questions. Now, what is the name
- 38:32Speaker 2: of the neighbor that comes over to visit wearing the
- 38:36Speaker 2: brown leather jacket, But we'll get to.
- 38:40Speaker 1: His first time, Oliver.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Yes, Now are the next six or cumulative? So I
- 38:50Speaker 2: apologies CJ, but you may no season two baby, Yeah, okay,
- 38:58Speaker 2: knows what the name of the hospital in town? Yesiscne Generald.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I should have known that would be a question.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they got every time, and until the most recent episode,
- 39:17Speaker 2: so twenty or actually both seasons, they have been incapable
- 39:21Speaker 2: of remembering.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Anyway, It's been a running joke.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Question two, what is the flugan knocking?
- 39:31Speaker 3: That's Gina, That's not.
- 39:34Speaker 1: The person who parks in the handicapped slip? Was it?
- 39:38Speaker 2: Yes?
- 39:38Speaker 1: Oh it was okay?
- 39:40Speaker 2: Point Gina? Did you give Gina her point? Okay, you
- 39:45Speaker 2: were reaching off screen? I didn't know.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I love how happy that made er.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I didn't think anyone was going to get that servant,
- 39:56Speaker 2: but it was quite the same.
- 39:57Speaker 6: She has so many.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Glos, all right.
- 40:02Speaker 2: In episode fifteen, whose guest bathroom is being wallpapered by Gina,
- 40:07Speaker 2: Marie Donatelli's cousin.
- 40:09Speaker 11: Joe, Uh, Gina, Yeah?
- 40:19Speaker 1: Is it Tony Bennett?
- 40:21Speaker 3: Yes?
- 40:22Speaker 6: Nice Gina.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Holy shit, I had to get the name.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I had to think about it.
- 40:27Speaker 5: Rain Man over here.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not even looking back in my notes.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I'm just In episode fourteen, the actor the Girls mentioned
- 40:36Speaker 2: that Phyllis was so bad at playing Anne Frank. The
- 40:39Speaker 2: audience kept yelling what during the second act?
- 40:43Speaker 1: Gina, she's a had act?
- 40:47Speaker 5: Yes?
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yes, oh god, because I edit these.
- 40:52Speaker 1: So I hear it.
- 40:53Speaker 6: Yeah, that's okay.
- 40:56Speaker 2: In the episode with Missus Claxton, why is Worthy so
- 41:00Speaker 2: sure people hate her?
- 41:03Speaker 6: Kristin? Oh yeah, their shoes didn't match.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Oh that was Missus McDowell. Gina shoes didn't match herst Gina.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Because the kids dressed up as a witch for Halloween, Like.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they dressed up as Missus Plat.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's her.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the one that Wesley was on for that died.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, Wesley didn't die.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Wesley didn't you said that? God?
- 41:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Commas saving lives.
- 41:36Speaker 2: In episode twenty one, who came in dead last in
- 41:40Speaker 2: the four County Toboggan Race because Uncle Ben had lost
- 41:43Speaker 2: their artificial leg?
- 41:47Speaker 1: I know Kristen got that point. I don't remember the name,
- 41:51Speaker 1: do you, Kristen c j Any clue.
- 41:56Speaker 3: No, No, I'm sure it's a roast, but I can't
- 41:58Speaker 3: think of it curiously, will Yeah, I mean I guess,
- 42:01Speaker 3: I guess I could. I was trying to cheat, all right.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I think you get that one there, Oh my god,
- 42:10Speaker 1: I get it.
- 42:10Speaker 2: It's Lars Olsen.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Lars Lars would easy guess.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Yeah, But it's okay because they find his artificial leg
- 42:19Speaker 2: at the Adelvis Fuss or later at the because they
- 42:23Speaker 2: had used it to beat off the wolves. All right.
- 42:27Speaker 1: If it's a Rose question like that, Christen usually gets it.
- 42:31Speaker 2: I just wanted to say Gina Marie Donnaatelly's name again,
- 42:36Speaker 2: that Geena Marie. This could have been a lot longer.
- 42:40Speaker 2: To be honest, there were a lot of really fun
- 42:42Speaker 2: questions that I only asked, questions that I had already
- 42:46Speaker 2: asked in hopes that would help you remember. Uh so, Kristen,
- 42:53Speaker 2: who won the quiz today?
- 42:55Speaker 6: Are we counting both combined?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Ah? Yeah, that's just one quick or we can well no, wait,
- 43:02Speaker 2: maybe not, Maybe we should do cumulative review and.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Then okay, I won the quiz, but Gina won the
- 43:08Speaker 5: cumulative review.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Oh, I thought, hands, that's okay. He told us he
- 43:15Speaker 2: was used to it.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah I would. I don't want
- 43:20Speaker 3: to spoil anything, but the yeah, well just just go
- 43:25Speaker 3: listen to you a fight? W when you get a chance.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Do you want to do trivia next? Or do you
- 43:31Speaker 2: want me to paint the picture of Dorothy the Villain?
- 43:33Speaker 1: I shall do trivia strapping kids?
- 43:37Speaker 2: All right?
- 43:38Speaker 3: So what are we? I'm sorry, what are we doing now?
- 43:40Speaker 1: I was gonna tell you trivia about the episode.
- 43:42Speaker 6: It's gonna tell us some stuff.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Cool, dog will be quiet, you'd be quiet. Paul Dooley
- 43:49Speaker 1: was George Corliss. He was in Sixteen Candles and Popeye.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Rita Moreno was Renee. She was obviously West side story.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Yes, brother, you forget that die.
- 44:04Speaker 1: David Leisure was Oliver. He was in those Joe Azuzu commercials, which.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Jane Harnick was Jenny. She was on Baywatch in One
- 44:14Speaker 1: Life to Live. Jeffrey Lewis was Chuck. He was on
- 44:17Speaker 1: Land's End and Flow. Rita Marino called this episode a disaster.
- 44:24Speaker 1: She said Susan Harris was ill and couldn't do any rewrites.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Fans considered this to be the worst episode.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Really, it's pretty bad.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You may remember Paul Dooley on a previous episode, Rose's
- 44:36Speaker 1: date on Love Rose, when the what was it? Einstein?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Isaac Newton, Isaac Newton, Isaac.
- 44:43Speaker 3: I feel like that happened a lot in those eighties.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I'm sorry, didn't cut you off, Gin, know, but I
- 44:46Speaker 3: feel like that happened a lot of daity shows where
- 44:48Speaker 3: not just Golden Girls, but in general, where you'd have
- 44:51Speaker 3: the same actor playing multiple characters in different episodes, like
- 44:55Speaker 3: throughout the run of the show, and you're like, that's
- 44:58Speaker 3: not who that is, especially if you're like a fan
- 45:00Speaker 3: and you've seen him, Like, wait a minute, that's not
- 45:01Speaker 3: wait what like that happened with night Court a lot.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Mattlock was the same way.
- 45:06Speaker 1: You don't remember who this is.
- 45:07Speaker 2: You might be the killer one week, and then the
- 45:10Speaker 2: and then like season or two later, you're like Mattlock's
- 45:13Speaker 2: new private investigator or stuff like that.
- 45:17Speaker 5: It's crazy doctor who did that a lot? Oh the
- 45:20Speaker 5: old series and the new ones.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So this is what's known as a backdoor pilot for
- 45:26Speaker 1: the show Empty Nest. It was completely reworked. Only David
- 45:31Speaker 1: Leisure comes back, but his name is now Charles Deets,
- 45:34Speaker 1: not Oliver. He went from being a test pilot to
- 45:37Speaker 1: working on a cruise ship. Richard Mulligan stars as doctor
- 45:42Speaker 1: Harry Weston. They changed names actors. Empty Nest premiered October eighth,
- 45:47Speaker 1: nineteen eighty eight, so like what a year and a
- 45:50Speaker 1: half later. Harry's wife recently died. He has two grown daughters,
- 45:55Speaker 1: Carol and Barbara. They were successful one hundred and seventy
- 45:59Speaker 1: episodes over seven seasons. The show crosses over a lot
- 46:03Speaker 1: because Harry's still their neighbor, so you'll see them. There
- 46:06Speaker 1: was a night where it was like the hurricane one
- 46:09Speaker 1: where it was like empty nests, Golden girls and nurses
- 46:12Speaker 1: which I don't really remember, like all had the same like,
- 46:16Speaker 1: we're all in the hurricanes, we're all going to reference
- 46:18Speaker 1: one thing.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Yeah, nurses was great. Nurses was a spinoff of Empty Nest,
- 46:23Speaker 2: I think, wasn't it.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was his nurse lady was like
- 46:26Speaker 1: that sassy, like she was funny.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 1: So then just stuff they talked about in the episode.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Saint Francis of a Cci was an Italian mystic and poet,
- 46:35Speaker 1: and he founded the Franciscan Order. He says, Balkans or Beacons.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Sorry, Bacons, Yeah, Beacons.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Wouldn't carry it or couldn't carry it. Beacons was a
- 46:45Speaker 1: moving company. I had to look that one up.
- 46:47Speaker 2: They still exist, But if you saw one of their
- 46:51Speaker 2: trucks and you were alive in the eighties and you
- 46:53Speaker 2: now saw one of their like logos, you'd be like,
- 46:55Speaker 2: oh shit, I didn't know what that was when I
- 46:57Speaker 2: was a kid, basically because the truck's just said Beacon,
- 47:00Speaker 2: real big on him. It looked like it should have
- 47:02Speaker 2: been a grocery store because I think it was also
- 47:04Speaker 2: like a green font.
- 47:05Speaker 1: But anyway, and then just they mentioned Shirley McLain again.
- 47:08Speaker 1: They took another job at her and she believed in
- 47:11Speaker 1: reincarnation and psychic channeling. I think that's it, unless you
- 47:16Speaker 1: guys have anything else.
- 47:18Speaker 3: I well, I mean, I feel free to cut this
- 47:20Speaker 3: out of it. It's your show. But can I ask
- 47:22Speaker 3: a tribute questions that not related to this show? Because
- 47:25Speaker 3: it's related to spinoffs. That's why I played it. Yeah,
- 47:30Speaker 3: in all honest, this is, in my opinion, probably the
- 47:33Speaker 3: most famous spin off. What show is Family Matters?
- 47:36Speaker 1: Of spin off of Oh, Perfect Strangers? Yes, because Harriet
- 47:41Speaker 1: was the elevator operator at the building Chicago.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I loved both of those shows.
- 47:50Speaker 3: So did I. But a lot of people don't realize
- 47:52Speaker 3: that that was a spinoff of Perfect Like a lot
- 47:54Speaker 3: of people don't know that, Yeah, that's an obscure spin.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Off, Like don't they like change her job or like.
- 48:00Speaker 3: No, she ends up just not working if I'm not working,
- 48:03Speaker 3: ends up being like a home mom or something because
- 48:05Speaker 3: she gets fired from the newspaper. And that's how they
- 48:07Speaker 3: spin it into the Family Matters.
- 48:09Speaker 1: That's one of those shows where like the middle kid
- 48:11Speaker 1: goes upstairs and it's never seen.
- 48:12Speaker 3: It was the young it was the youngest, the youngest
- 48:17Speaker 3: younger sister just disappeared.
- 48:19Speaker 9: Like.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Because they had an even younger kid like the ant
- 48:23Speaker 1: has the kid with the like, but that wasn't like
- 48:26Speaker 1: he was. He was so popular because Kle was getting big,
- 48:33Speaker 1: too big.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well when his voice dropped, I mean a little
- 48:39Speaker 3: hard to keep doing the whole were in the tight pants.
- 48:41Speaker 4: Yeah, this is totally unrelated and now dead, but sort
- 48:49Speaker 4: of a similar character I think to Rkle was Screech and.
- 48:55Speaker 2: I I was forced to hang out with him once.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Like a gunpoint with him, not likely, honestly, Yeah, it wasn't.
- 49:06Speaker 2: A gunpoint, but it was before he was in all
- 49:08Speaker 2: of his like troubles. It was when I still worked
- 49:11Speaker 2: at Disney. We had some lanes at this like bowling
- 49:14Speaker 2: place and it was really popular place and so there
- 49:19Speaker 2: were no open lanes and the guy was like, well,
- 49:21Speaker 2: those people have it split up by like their teams
- 49:25Speaker 2: or whatever so they can bowl faster. You can see
- 49:27Speaker 2: if they want to share, and I'll you know short.
- 49:31Speaker 2: So he came over with his like posse and we
- 49:34Speaker 2: ended up hanging out in the same area with him
- 49:37Speaker 2: and interacting for a couple hours. And I was not
- 49:40Speaker 2: excited by it, and he was what you would expect,
- 49:44Speaker 2: just like wanted you to like jerk off that he
- 49:49Speaker 2: was on TV at some point, like he was just
- 49:51Speaker 2: very annoying. And I've always felt Arkle might have been
- 49:57Speaker 2: a similar person off screen, but I did hang out
- 50:00Speaker 2: with him.
- 50:00Speaker 3: But I mean I have heard and I heard he
- 50:05Speaker 3: was actually your sweetheart, but very cool. Julia White's a
- 50:09Speaker 3: very coold dude from Excellent.
- 50:13Speaker 2: Good job, Julia. I'm glad that you aren't dead like
- 50:17Speaker 2: Samuel J. Powers is or Dustin Diamond. Yeah, that's the problem.
- 50:22Speaker 2: He never stopped being Samuel j.
- 50:25Speaker 6: Powers.
- 50:27Speaker 2: That was the problem anyway. Sorry, that was my bit.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Tell us about the villain.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Yeah, well, first of all, sort of to the point
- 50:36Speaker 2: of what Gina said, where we'd be talking about how
- 50:39Speaker 2: ugly their clothes were if we did this as a
- 50:41Speaker 2: live commentary. I just want to start out by saying
- 50:44Speaker 2: the first thing that makes Dorothy a villain was her
- 50:46Speaker 2: first outfit in this episode, because she looked like she
- 50:50Speaker 2: was wearing a napkin tucked in her neck.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Thought it was very Kuella Deville type of look.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I mean, if Couella Deville was hideous, it was just
- 51:01Speaker 2: an ugly Sorry. As much as I love Dorothy, like
- 51:05Speaker 2: seventy five percent of the time, I'm like, what are
- 51:07Speaker 2: you fucking wearing anyway? So bad outfit to start the show,
- 51:12Speaker 2: never a good look. Then she takes on the role
- 51:15Speaker 2: of dream killer. Poor Renee's husband is like super busy,
- 51:19Speaker 2: and she's just trying to solve the world's problems on
- 51:22Speaker 2: a late night radio show. And she is all about
- 51:26Speaker 2: shitting on giving Palestine Greenland because you'd be taking a
- 51:30Speaker 2: desert people and giving Hi. Rose is right. I never
- 51:34Speaker 2: say this, but Rose is right, there are coats. Stop
- 51:37Speaker 2: being a bitch. Your friend had an idea to end
- 51:39Speaker 2: the suffering of an entire group of people, and Dorothy's
- 51:43Speaker 2: just a bit about it. Then she's awfully pushy about
- 51:48Speaker 2: talking to Renee about Renee talking to her husband. She
- 51:52Speaker 2: just keeps like pushing that. And my feeling is you
- 51:55Speaker 2: and your husband got a divorce. You're probably not the
- 51:58Speaker 2: person who should be giving your happily married friend marriage advice.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Can I comment on that phone yet? Or I
- 52:05Speaker 3: know it was interesting to watch because you guys watched
- 52:08Speaker 3: these shows every week and a couple in a in
- 52:10Speaker 3: a row. If I recall, it's your your format here,
- 52:12Speaker 3: but I I haven't you know, And to say I
- 52:16Speaker 3: didn't watch them, but I didn't say I don't watch
- 52:17Speaker 3: them as religiously, so like, I haven't seen this one
- 52:20Speaker 3: in quite some time, particularly, and it felt like we
- 52:23Speaker 3: walked right into in the middle of a conversation have
- 52:25Speaker 3: been going on between Gina and the four women from
- 52:29Speaker 3: you know, and it's like that was really that kind
- 52:32Speaker 3: of put me out of places. I almost wanted to
- 52:34Speaker 3: be like, hey, wait a minute, should I watch the
- 52:36Speaker 3: previous episode real quick? Because I felt like no, but
- 52:39Speaker 3: do you understand what I'm saying, Like no, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:41Speaker 3: So I quickly realized that's not how I remember. I
- 52:44Speaker 3: quickly remembered it to eighty sit com and no, there
- 52:46Speaker 3: wasn't going to be that continuity, but it was still like,
- 52:49Speaker 3: that's how it felt coming into that conversation, and yeah, that's.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Just I don't really like this episode other than Alliver
- 52:57Speaker 2: and Chuck, to be honest, but anyway, all right, So
- 53:03Speaker 2: then speaking of Oliver brought it back. She's so fucking
- 53:08Speaker 2: mean to that delightfully charming little man that just pops
- 53:11Speaker 2: into your home. If I had an Oliver, if I
- 53:14Speaker 2: had an Oliver in my community, I'd keep extra beer,
- 53:17Speaker 2: peanut butter et cetera. In stock he's a delight.
- 53:20Speaker 1: He seems like a fun time.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I like it. I want I want to know more
- 53:25Speaker 2: about the story. Dorothy's so mad that he peed in
- 53:29Speaker 2: their linen closet, and that's that's not great, that's bad.
- 53:34Speaker 2: But I want to know story.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Yeah, like someone who's done that. It's not Yeah, I
- 53:40Speaker 3: can tell you it's not.
- 53:41Speaker 2: No, it's not great. I saw someone sit down and
- 53:45Speaker 2: pee in a chair of clean laundry one time while
- 53:48Speaker 2: I was fun drunk party night, and I was like, yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 2: that's this not a doi like out of the kind
- 53:56Speaker 2: of the person on the side taking care of my
- 53:58Speaker 2: drunk friend. But she is just so fucking mean to him.
- 54:02Speaker 2: That's rude. Then, and here's the big one. As the
- 54:06Speaker 2: heaviest member of our Golden Girls team, I am livid
- 54:12Speaker 2: that she not only fat James Blanche, but fat James
- 54:16Speaker 2: Blanche to the point where she says she was twice
- 54:19Speaker 2: the size she used to be.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I was like, what are you talking about?
- 54:23Speaker 2: You grew a second person, is what your your theme is?
- 54:27Speaker 2: You're so fucking mean, So in that aspect alone, bully, buzzkill, bitchy,
- 54:36Speaker 2: Dorothy's the villain.
- 54:38Speaker 3: I see I have to I don'tt to necessarily defend
- 54:40Speaker 3: the fat jimmings. I agree with you, Aaron, but I
- 54:42Speaker 3: would have to tell you that I feel like that
- 54:43Speaker 3: was a deal between the writers and weight Watchers to
- 54:46Speaker 3: put in a backdoor commercial for weight watchers. Oh maybe
- 54:49Speaker 3: that's that's really because they used to do that kind
- 54:51Speaker 3: of They still do that shit, but they definitely didn't
- 54:53Speaker 3: get back then. So because they referenced weight Watchers I
- 54:57Speaker 3: think three times in that back and forth. Definitely twice.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but Dorothy came in hot with the fat shamming before.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But I think they that's
- 55:08Speaker 3: because that's what Dorothy is. She's always comes in hot
- 55:11Speaker 3: like that. So I mean, like, I feel like that
- 55:13Speaker 3: was just written in. It doesn't make it okay. And
- 55:15Speaker 3: I still agree with.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Your but you were like, I'm gonna defend fat shaming.
- 55:20Speaker 1: My hackles went up.
- 55:21Speaker 3: I was like, not, depending depending the need for that
- 55:25Speaker 3: segment to be able to fit this back door commercial,
- 55:28Speaker 3: in which is still wrong to do.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Look famously, Reese's pieces uh are successful largely because Eminem
- 55:38Speaker 2: wanted fucking et to pay them to use the Eminem
- 55:42Speaker 2: And I was like, fuck, you will take the free
- 55:44Speaker 2: advertising and the boost and tales. You dumb fucks.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Never cared for those love a peanut butter eminem totally
- 55:52Speaker 1: different than me.
- 55:53Speaker 3: I'm with you, Gina. I love that, and I love
- 55:55Speaker 3: a peanut butter cup, but not Araca's pieces. I don't know.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I'm not weird.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Guys. I'm really sorry, but we'll be ending the show
- 56:02Speaker 2: early because you're wrong.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I mean, obviously people are buying them.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Here's the thing. If you if too, If half
- 56:13Speaker 2: of the people on the show today I don't like
- 56:15Speaker 2: Reese's pieces, what that tells me is that in your markets,
- 56:19Speaker 2: if I'm ever visiting, there is more Reese's pieces that
- 56:23Speaker 2: I'm put in my face off.
- 56:25Speaker 1: You've seen how many spin offs they have. They have
- 56:27Speaker 1: the big chocolate lava cup, they have the white, they
- 56:30Speaker 1: have the this that. Oh my god, it's getting insane.
- 56:34Speaker 1: I like, yeah, oh yeah, I.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Like theeses take five, the.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Candy section at the gas stations like half reazes.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Now and the fast break is pretty good.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:50Speaker 5: I like the more secretive peanut butter and jelly cups.
- 56:56Speaker 6: Right, Oh yeah good.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I tried the.
- 56:59Speaker 1: M and ms too, Those were good.
- 57:01Speaker 3: I want to try that. I want. I wanted to
- 57:03Speaker 3: try those, and I still need to try the Oreo
- 57:05Speaker 3: ones because I had the already those. Yeah, there's an
- 57:08Speaker 3: Oreo cup which apparently has like the white frosting and
- 57:11Speaker 3: then cookie crumbles in it. I had not had those,
- 57:14Speaker 3: but I've had the because they did a crossover, so
- 57:16Speaker 3: I got Oreos with it or so instead of the
- 57:18Speaker 3: white filling, it's the recess peanut butter in between the
- 57:20Speaker 3: two talk cookies. I've had those. By the way, I
- 57:25Speaker 3: will say that if we ended the show every time
- 57:27Speaker 3: half the half the show disagreed with each other, pot
- 57:30Speaker 3: of Sku would have been twenty minutes each. Quick shots
- 57:35Speaker 3: quick shot, Yeah, they would have been very very short.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Also, Twigs does it too.
- 57:38Speaker 2: There's like and yeah kit Cat International.
- 57:46Speaker 3: KitKat types in Japan, Mocha kit Cats that came out though,
- 57:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, those were the ship I'll tell.
- 57:52Speaker 2: You what though. This year for Halloween they had two
- 57:55Speaker 2: new flavors for kit Cat and I hated them both.
- 57:59Speaker 2: The one is kit Cat Bones, so they were just
- 58:03Speaker 2: white chocolate with the wafers.
- 58:06Speaker 3: I've had that.
- 58:07Speaker 2: It's just really sweet. It's really for kid, It's not
- 58:10Speaker 2: for someone looking for like complex flavor profiles, and then
- 58:15Speaker 2: they made one it was green called witches Brew. That
- 58:18Speaker 2: was a marshmallow flavor that was better, but still I
- 58:21Speaker 2: don't need that one was better.
- 58:24Speaker 3: But I think we need to start a cooking show
- 58:26Speaker 3: the four of us just right, okay.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Talk about eating.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Let's get our schedules.
- 58:33Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 58:34Speaker 2: I have seven minutes left to myself for the month
- 58:36Speaker 2: of November. Let's uh to do pencil in something.
- 58:40Speaker 3: That's four episodes in my opinion, right, there's good.
- 58:43Speaker 6: We could do it.
- 58:45Speaker 2: We should definitely, this is off topic and then I'm
- 58:47Speaker 2: going to ask everyone where there's what their socials and
- 58:50Speaker 2: things are. But we should definitely have a CJ come
- 58:54Speaker 2: on to our Bluey podcast.
- 58:57Speaker 1: If he watches Bluey.
- 58:59Speaker 3: I'm interested. So I had never seen it till last May,
- 59:03Speaker 3: not this past May. But I was out in Vegas
- 59:07Speaker 3: visiting my family and I got left with my three
- 59:10Speaker 3: year old niece for three hours by myself, as someone
- 59:13Speaker 3: who does not have any children, and that was that
- 59:18Speaker 3: was an adventure. She is a spitfire in the best
- 59:22Speaker 3: possible way. She's an amazing little girl, but she has
- 59:25Speaker 3: definitely got some energy. And I was told the best
- 59:29Speaker 3: way to keep her locked into one room was just
- 59:31Speaker 3: put Blue on and let it run. And I went okay,
- 59:35Speaker 3: And as a fan of Australians, I was like, okay,
- 59:38Speaker 3: this is not so terrible.
- 59:40Speaker 1: So I Animians, just the people in general.
- 59:44Speaker 3: I know, I really am because of my jazz. I
- 59:47Speaker 3: mentioned my fan Jay from before. She is from Sydney
- 59:50Speaker 3: and Bluie is entertaining. I don't know if I would
- 59:53Speaker 3: do a whole run of shows, but I would show
- 59:55Speaker 3: up for one.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, the podcast for as we established, Yeah, that's why.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I was like, hey, look at that, let's do it well.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Since the internet now knows you're a podcast, whor if
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: they didn't before, it's not an inding. It's time to

- 1:00:16Speaker 2: to you in their ear holes today find you tomorrow?

- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Oh hey yeah yeah. CJ her dog, tiny dog Abby
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: five pounds, gives us cheesecake at the end of the episode.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: She's our cake.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: It's my favorite and all the cakes so that is amazing.

- 1:01:54Speaker 2: is bullshit. I'm with that, folks, whoa shots fired?
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: I was gonna said, I, that's a little that's that's yeah,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: hold on a second, a little aggressive.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: We're gonna leave you with that thought. Bye bye bye
