Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Do you want to five? It's the Erica Show and
- 0:02Speaker 1: we have Brittany on the phone. Brittany's been mentioned all
- 0:05Speaker 1: over the news, all over social media because your dad
- 0:08Speaker 1: has been missing for several days. Now tell us everything.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Yes, it's been since Saturday morning. He's been missing. He
- 0:15Speaker 2: went missing and we've not been able to find him. Like,
- 0:20Speaker 2: we're not really sure where he is at this point.
- 0:23Speaker 2: He took the car sometime in the middle of the
- 0:25Speaker 2: night or early in the morning, and we haven't heard
- 0:30Speaker 2: or seen from him since then.
- 0:31Speaker 1: So do you have a ring camera that shows him
- 0:33Speaker 1: leaving the house early?
- 0:34Speaker 2: And then we don't. We have a ring camera, it's
- 0:37Speaker 2: at my parents house, but it doesn't show anything. The
- 0:40Speaker 2: only thing we have going on is that he left
- 0:43Speaker 2: his phone unfortunately, but he we locked it. He locked
- 0:49Speaker 2: it and when he was trying to turn it off
- 0:51Speaker 2: because he had it off, and we found in a
- 0:52Speaker 2: drawer two days later. But we looked at back his
- 0:55Speaker 2: pictures and there was a screenshot of like twelve twenty
- 0:58Speaker 2: am on Saturday morning, So it was some time after
- 1:01Speaker 2: that that he left, because it was like he was
- 1:03Speaker 2: trying to or turn off his phone and he did
- 1:05Speaker 2: a screen shot by accident.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Seventy one years old, and you said that he's had
- 1:11Speaker 1: some medical stuff in the past, it makes him obviously
- 1:14Speaker 1: in danger to be missing right now.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Right. Yes, he had a major heart attack when I
- 1:18Speaker 2: was pregnant with my second child and was basically dead
- 1:23Speaker 2: on the table and took twenty shocks to get him
- 1:26Speaker 2: back to life. And so he's definitely here for a reason,
- 1:31Speaker 2: and he believed that for a long time until he
- 1:33Speaker 2: had two strokes within a couple of weeks of each
- 1:36Speaker 2: other about a year later, and those really changed his
- 1:39Speaker 2: quality of life.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So, yeah, what can the community do to try to help?
- 1:45Speaker 1: What do we need to be looking for?
- 1:47Speaker 2: I think we just need to be sharing and posts,
- 1:50Speaker 2: you know, everywhere. We can be on the lookout wherever
- 1:53Speaker 2: we're walking and driving. Praying is like the most important
- 1:56Speaker 2: thing that we can ever ask for for anybody, because
- 2:00Speaker 2: it really there. We have no leads and we need
- 2:02Speaker 2: we need a break. We thought we could get some
- 2:05Speaker 2: technology with his car. It's a year too old to
- 2:09Speaker 2: get anything, so we really have just hit roadblock after
- 2:13Speaker 2: roadblock and there's been like zero real leads coming through.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So all we can ask for is sharing and praying
- 2:22Speaker 2: and looking keeping an eye out to bring my dad home.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I know this is hard. Sorry episode sense of I
- 2:29Speaker 1: know you cry too, so.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I try and keep it together for my kids. I
- 2:35Speaker 2: know it's sheltered, but it's hard. It's hard after so
- 2:38Speaker 2: many days.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yes, okay, So Miguel is his name? Seventy one. He
- 2:43Speaker 1: was last seen in a was it twenty sixteen Mercedes?
- 2:46Speaker 1: It was a silver.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Silver Mercedes see three hundred. I can send you a
- 2:51Speaker 2: picture of the car if that helped, because I had
- 2:53Speaker 2: very distinctive wheels that were black wheels that were a
- 2:56Speaker 2: little different than other ones and that might be on
- 2:59Speaker 2: the road. Had a windshield ding in the windshield. It
- 3:03Speaker 2: had a car seat in the back seat that he
- 3:06Speaker 2: would pick up my daughter from school in. Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Okay, So if anybody has any leads, where do they call?
- 3:15Speaker 2: They can call the Raleigh Police Department. Detective Forward is
- 3:18Speaker 2: assigned to it. It is probably the best way. My
- 3:22Speaker 2: phone number is also on a lot of flyers. But yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 2: the detectives have been great and they're definitely doing what
- 3:29Speaker 2: they can to follow those leads as quickly as possible.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The few that we've had, well, we're.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Going to share it everywhere and of course, you know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: call Raleigh please. I'm so sorry though.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Erica. I really appreciate just you
- 3:40Speaker 2: taking the time to listen to my story. Get it
- 3:44Speaker 2: out there is amazing. My dad was so loved in
- 3:47Speaker 2: the community. He had people reaching out to me all
- 3:50Speaker 2: the time that knew who he was and like, you
- 3:52Speaker 2: don't know me, but I know your dad. Everywhere we
- 3:54Speaker 2: went I grew up in Raleigh, everywhere we went someone
- 3:57Speaker 2: knew Miguel. Like it didn't matter if we were like
- 3:59Speaker 2: at the Hole in the Walled place or a Harris
- 4:02Speaker 2: Theeter or a Mexican restaurant. Everyone would come up and
- 4:05Speaker 2: talk to him and say how they impacted his life
- 4:08Speaker 2: in one positive way or another, and just it's so
- 4:11Speaker 2: it just brings me so much joy that we have
- 4:13Speaker 2: that community behind us now
