- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 233.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: Always amazes me how many episodes that we have done of this podcast, doesn't it, Sean?
- 1:20Sean McAllister: Oh gosh, it does.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: It's been up in the 200s now.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: I know.
- 1:23Sean McAllister: Man.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here, Sean McAllister.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: And actually, uh, when this podcast drops, Sean, uh, in case you didn't know, you're currently on an Alaskan cruise.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: I feel like I should be seeing whales right now or something.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: We're doing this before you go, but you're looking forward to this.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: This has been in the works in your family for like two years of planning, right?
- 1:43Sean McAllister: It has been.
- 1:44Sean McAllister: I mean, really, back to gosh, 2019 is when we really first started talking about it.
- 1:51Sean McAllister: Because it's uh my sister and a bunch of our cousins and spouses and everything are all going on this because the cousins we kind of grew up seeing them a bit more like regularly.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but now you're all over the place.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: Now we're all over the place, and we have not, as adults, gotten together and uh like gone to do something like this.
- 2:13Sean McAllister: So we've talked about it, we're finally doing it, and I think it's gonna be a good time.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: And what are some of the excursions you're doing?
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: I'm curious.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Well, we are doing uh a whale watching where it's guaranteed that you're going to see whales.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:29Sean McAllister: I have done two previous whale watching excursions when I have seen no whales.
- 2:34Sean McAllister: Uh-oh.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: Well, what if the whales don't come?
- 2:36Dayna Roselli: What if they don't want to?
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: What I mean, what are they gonna how can they guarantee it?
- 2:40Sean McAllister: Well, I I don't know.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but I can't wait.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: We gotta get a follow-up on this.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: We can I want to know how many whales and if the guarantee, and if not, then you get your money back, I hope.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: I mean, we better.
- 2:53unknown: Okay.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: So okay, you're doing the whale walking.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Uh we're going to uh a camp where uh some of the dog sled puppies are raised.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: So raising the puppies, and I'm a dog lover, so I can't wait to see them.
- 3:09Sean McAllister: Uh we're doing uh we're doing kind of a nature hike at one of the ports.
- 3:14Sean McAllister: Uh we've got we're cruising the the Hubbard Glacier.
- 3:18Sean McAllister: So they kind of cruise into the little port inlet, okay, fjord, whatever it's called.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: And I think the boat spins around.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: So there's lots of good angles to see that that glacier.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: We're hiking up to another glacier at one point.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: Um I just hope there's lots.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Well, you know, well wishes.
- 3:39Dayna Roselli: I don't want to hear any iceberg ahead.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: You don't want to hear that.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: I have to, as soon as we get to the ship, I have to watch my my little video on how to get to my lifeboat.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you gotta follow all.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: Make sure you pay all attention to that.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: But listen, people say they love Alaskan cruises.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: Again, it's not something that I've ever dreamed of doing, but as I've gotten older, I thought, I think I would like that.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: So you know what I mean?
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: It's nothing when you're I felt like when I was younger that I was like, I want to go on an Alaskan cruise.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: But now I'm like, I would totally do that.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: And I hear it's spectacular and beautiful.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: And so many people we know actually have gone on cruises lately in Alaska and said it's great.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: So it'll be, I mean, even from the heat of this summer.
- 4:25Sean McAllister: I just saw uh that we had the hottest July ever in Las Vegas.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: And wasn't it like the hottest day on earth ever?
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: It was like last week.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: Well, when we're recording last week from when we're recording this.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: But yeah, so it's yeah, I think it'll be a high of high in the high 60s.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:45Sean McAllister: So it'll be a refreshing break.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be beautiful.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, you're gonna see some breathtaking views.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: I can't wait to hear all about it.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Well, um, we hope you're enjoying the cruise, right?
- 4:55Sean McAllister: Thank you.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: I hope I am too.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: But before that, you've done a couple staycations this summer, and we wanted to talk about the mobile check-in process because we do see a lot on social media people in long lines at the check-in desks and hotel lobbies on some of our resorts at the strip.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: And I always think there's gotta be another way.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: And I actually haven't stayed on the strip in a while, and you said, Oh no, there is another way.
- 5:21Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: The mobile key card.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, oh, tell me about this.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: And it's super convenient.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: So I know at MGM Resorts properties, you get the you can check in online, you have uh your key card is on your activated on your phone.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: So we've never at Bellagio and MGM Grand, where we've stayed recently, uh, you don't even go to the check-in desk.
- 5:46Sean McAllister: You know, the you get an alert on your app when your room is ready, and then you go, you just hold your phone up to the little sensor on the door, and the door opens.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: It's great.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: That is great.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Like it is the most convenient thing ever.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: Why do people wait in line then?
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: I wonder, I ask myself that every single time I go to one of these properties.
- 6:09Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:09Sean McAllister: Like I don't know if they just don't know about the the mobile entry or what.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: Or maybe they have specific questions, or I don't know.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's interesting.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: So spread the word, everyone.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: See if your hotel casino, resort, whatever, has um mobile check-in because you don't even have to be waiting in those lines.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: No, why would you?
- 6:31Sean McAllister: It's so convenient.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: And this is one of the technologies that um I believe back during pandemic times, we did an interview with someone from MGM Resorts who was talking about uh the mobile entry and how they were just starting to roll out that technology.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: Well, it's rolled out, it's here, you can use it now.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: And I think maybe Caesars Palace has it too.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: We'll have to look at a full list of who does it too, yeah.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: And maybe do that in another podcast so that people know.
- 6:58Sean McAllister: Um But there is one thing that I had a tip you should keep in mind with the mobile entry.
- 7:06Sean McAllister: Um so I had to work, but my husband was there.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: He went down to the pool just to hang out, and he was like, Oh, this is great.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: I have everything I need right on my phone.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Well, he was down at the pool, and after a while, he went over to the bar to get a drink, and uh they were like, Do you have your ID?
- 7:24Sean McAllister: And he was like, Oh, no, it's all the way back in.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: I would walk through that.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: Which you would Caratop always does that joke about MGM Grant.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: Because he was all the way out of the pool, you have to go all the way through the restaurant area, then all the way up to the tower, all the way down your hall.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: He was like, No, it's not worth it for a cocktail.
- 7:47Sean McAllister: No, but um that's something to keep in mind.
- 7:51Sean McAllister: It's convenient not to have your room card that you have to carry around, but you still do need to bring your ID.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: And it was the lady in front of him also forgot her ID, and they had to dump out this giant yard drink that they made for her.
- 8:07Sean McAllister: Jeez.
- 8:08Sean McAllister: Because she wasn't gonna go back to her room either.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: No, it's too much.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I guess you'd think like I've got you know credit cards and stuff on my phone, like because we have the Apple wallet or whatever and other, you know, and the other phones.
- 8:18Sean McAllister: Because you can pay for it, you can room charge it, but you need your IDs in order to do it.
- 8:23Sean McAllister: So keep that in mind.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: I know uh Shane did send a follow-up when he got the survey.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: Oh, he always loves his survey follow-ups.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: And he suggested, he said, if you can do an age verification uh thing where I come down to the front desk, prove that I am who I am, maybe you snap a picture, and it just goes right on there with your mobile room key.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: So you can show that, show that you've been age verified at the front desk, and then you don't need your cards.
- 8:56Sean McAllister: It's a great idea, especially at the pool.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, we're copy copywriting that idea, or what do you call it?
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: If anyone steals it, we want kickback.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, we're royalties for the idea for sure.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: All right, some good stuff there.
- 9:12Dayna Roselli: But um, you enjoyed the staycations, and you know, one day in tips, we need to revisit how you and Shane get all these staycations.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: Oh my goodness.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: And free rooms.
- 9:23Sean McAllister: I don't even know when we're getting rooms.
- 9:25Sean McAllister: Shane will just tell me, he's like, Oh, uh on you know, Tuesday through Friday next week we have a room at wherever.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: Well, maybe we should just say it now.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: Okay, so you guys play a slot game for free on it and you don't even spend money on it.
- 9:42Sean McAllister: No, we spend no money.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: You just play roll the slots, uh pop slots, pop slots, my Vegas slots.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: Um, there's a few different ones, but you earn real rewards.
- 9:55unknown: Right.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: You stack up all these points and coins, and and you're not spending money on it.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: It's just kind of for fun for points and coins and things like that.
- 10:05Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 10:06Sean McAllister: You can't you can spend money in the app to buy more coins if you run out, but if you just wait till tomorrow, it'll replenish with free coins.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: And from that, you actually can get free rooms.
- 10:22Sean McAllister: You get free rooms, there's uh deals at restaurants at Lupo, okay.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: Uh Wolfgang Puck's old restaurant over at Mandalay Bay, that was on there all the time.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: We would go in there and it was like a buy one, get one free entree.
- 10:37Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: So it was like a fit half-price meal, great, which is great.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: There's drinks, there's uh they have cruises on there sometimes, but those go super quick.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: Um, but I mean it's great.
- 10:49Sean McAllister: We still have to pay uh tax and resort fee when we you know go to redeem these things, but I mean that's not bad.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: No, it's not bad.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: Okay, cool.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: Okay, so that was a good little chunk of information right there, right?
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: Love it.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: Hey, here's what's going on in Vegas coming up soon, actually.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: Well, no, is it soon?
- 11:09Dayna Roselli: No, it's not till March 1st.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: Sorry.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: Um rugby, though.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: The tickets are on sale anyway, uh, for rugby in Las Vegas 2025.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: It's good, they say it's gonna be bigger, bolder, better, more games, more teams, more nations, all that.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: The schedule includes the Super League, the NRL test match, and NRL uh four games and matches, do they call it?
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Maybe on I don't know if it's maybe a match, a rugby match.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: Rugby game.
- 11:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: Match schedule.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Sorry, everyone.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: Rugby fans are gonna hate me.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Anyway, you can get the tickets on Ticketmaster.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: Um, we have this set for Las Vegas on Saturday, March 1st at Allegiant Stadium.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: It's also gonna be broadcast live to a massive global audience, and so it's a big deal.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: Uh, rugby came into town last year and it's here again.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: I know this is a big push.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: It's sponsored by the LVC VA, and so um it's huge.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: I think it is New Zealand, Australia, and England, and England that'll be in town.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: So it rugby is always such a draw.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: I know that there are people who come in from all over the place for these matches.
- 12:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, and you've seen these guys up close before.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: I know I was in Resorts World, and one of the teams was in there, and I was like, wow, these guys are huge, and everyone was going up to them.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, they're they're popular too.
- 12:33Sean McAllister: Sarah Brick.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow, rugby isn't joking around.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: But that was huge.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: And I had some friends come into town that wrote me like from California, like, hey, we're coming in for the rugby, and and so um, it's a big deal.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: And I love that they're doing this at Allegiant Stadium.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: I love like just adding more and more, you know, sports at Allegiant Stadium, other than just football games, because we don't have a lot of football games.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: No, we don't.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: The NFL only has only what seven home games.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then there's like, yeah, seven home games.
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: So um it will be good to have them back.
- 13:04Sean McAllister: Hey, we wanted to uh let you know if you're a Broadway fan, uh the Smith Center here in Las Vegas puts on incredible productions.
- 13:15Sean McAllister: Broadway tours come through all the time.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: We have incredible uh Las Vegas talent who performs there along with uh other solo touring acts as well.
- 13:27Sean McAllister: Uh, but Steven Sondheim's revival of company is coming here to Las Vegas um August 20th through the 25th over at the Smith Center.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: Um tickets are on sale now, and Company is just one of those classic uh Broadway shows that uh we have not had here.
- 13:51Sean McAllister: I I don't think I remember it being here.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: So it's gonna be great to have it.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it will be.
- 13:57Dayna Roselli: And I you know, I think I'm gonna go over and see it actually.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: It's it's a winner of five 2022 Tony Awards.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: So I know it's good and people talk about it all the time.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: Thesmithcenter.com.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: If you want to go check out Company or any of the other shows there at the Smith Center.
- 14:14Sean McAllister: Well, downtown Las Vegas is getting ready to rock, Dana, coming up in September.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: We have some rock icons who are taking the stage at the downtown Las Vegas Event Center.
- 14:26Sean McAllister: Vince Neal, you know him, he was the front man of Motley Crue.
- 14:31Sean McAllister: I've talked to Vince many times over the years here in Las Vegas.
- 14:35Dayna Roselli: Out and about.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: Stephen Percy, the frontman of Rat, and um also an appearance from Vixen.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: Now, this is a trail-blazing all-female rock band known for their electrifying stage presence, according to the press release.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: Um, and so apparently they're amazing.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: So it'll be Vince Neal, Stephen Percy, Vixen.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, this sounds fun.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: If you love nostalgic rock, this is gonna be good.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: Downtown Las Vegas Event Center is a great spot for this.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be great September 6th is the is the date.
- 15:07Sean McAllister: I am not one of those people who uh really thinks about going back to school.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: I I think my school days are behind me.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: Everything that I'm gonna learn now is from life itself.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: However, there is a very interesting uh class that you can take if you desire to be a clown.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: I didn't even know clown school still existed.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: I thought it was like a thing back in the day.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: But apparently, the clown school, which is a Los Angeles-based studio devoted to teaching and promoting the art of clowning and related physical theater disciplines, is coming to the Las Vegas area for another round of level one classes.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: And so if you live in Las Vegas or you want to visit Las Vegas and go to clown school, you can.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: They start um, let's see, September 9th.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: And it's just gonna be on Mondays, 6 to 10 p.m.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: So one time a week.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: One time a week.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: It's at the Super Summer Theater Studios for the Performing Arts, and it's gonna run through October 28th.
- 16:17Dayna Roselli: If you want to find out more, you can go to theclownschool.com.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: The cost is$399.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: Discounts are available though for previous clown school participants.
- 16:29Sean McAllister: And you know if you want to redo level one.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, maybe you need a redo or refresh.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: What do you think is part of the curriculum in level one of clowns?
- 16:38Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 16:38Sean McAllister: And at what level do they teach you how to get 25 clowns into a tiny little clown car?
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: I feel like we should go to the Monday class on October 28th after the the run of two months of Mondays and see like what the final day, like what they learned.
- 17:01Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: So I don't know.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: It's really fun.
- 17:04Dayna Roselli: It's really interesting.
- 17:05Sean McAllister: Although I was um there was an assembly that I vividly remember because I was scarred for life.
- 17:11Sean McAllister: It was in kindergarten.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: We had a big assembly, they took all of us from elementary school and took us to the big auditorium in the high school, and there were clowns up on stage, and one of the clowns started coming up and down the aisle of the auditorium, like wanting to looking for audience participation, and I was terrified.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I like ran and jumped on my teacher's lap.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: I was like, no, I don't want that clown to get me up there.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: It's scary, it can be scary for some.
- 17:46Sean McAllister: I've kind of overcome my my fear of of clowns, but I still don't like audience participation.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, people either love clowns or either scared of them or just like whatever, either way.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: But I am not scared of clowns at all.
- 18:01Sean McAllister: But um I worked with a girl who was horrified of clowns.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: Some people are really scared of them.
- 18:07Dayna Roselli: So anyway, theclownschool.com, if you want to go be a clown.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: Hey, listen, we've been heading over to a coup rehearsals for fantasy's 25th anniversary.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: Um, they've been adding new numbers into the show to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: The exact like anniversary time is like October, but they're starting it, you know, it's kind of the 25th anniversary year.
- 18:29Dayna Roselli: Um, we have interviewed celebrity choreographers.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: We're gonna have all that for a later TV show.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: Um, but we interviewed Val and Jenna from Dancing with the Stars.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: We also interviewed Mandy Moore, who also choreographed the Eras Tour.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: She's doing a number, but we also talked to a couple of the longtime dancers.
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: And, you know, it's incredible when a show can run 25 years in a row.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: They understand that that part of it, and they just feel like here's why the show's still going, and you know, we're honored to be a part of it because this just doesn't happen often.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: So we talked to Mariah and Ashton.
- 19:09SPEAKER_03: It is such an honor.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: I remember seeing the billboards when it was still like Midnight Fantasy.
- 19:13SPEAKER_03: I was like, God is the show I want to do.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: It's just the longevity, the, the, the fame of it, really.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: It's uh very impressive, and it's such an honor for me to be in the show for that long.
- 19:22SPEAKER_04: Every time we have a new cast, they make us better and better.
- 19:25SPEAKER_04: Um, we're always elevating our game.
- 19:27SPEAKER_04: So I never get bored.
- 19:28SPEAKER_04: I think if I got bored, maybe I'd leave, but I'm never bored.
- 19:32SPEAKER_04: It's fabulous.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: Well, that the audience isn't bored, obviously, if you're still going for 25 years.
- 19:36SPEAKER_03: We have uh a couple super fans that have seen the show over a hundred times, and then I'm I'm 100% sure they've never seen the same show.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: There's always different girls, different numbers.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: You know, something happens, you know, someone's sick and we have to re-block.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: It's it's always a moving document of shows, but it's always exciting.
- 19:52SPEAKER_04: And our producer, Anita Mann, always says every night is opening night.
- 19:56SPEAKER_04: And I really think we hold to that.
- 19:58SPEAKER_04: We the audience, it's their first time sometimes seeing us, and it's an honor to be in Vegas, it's an honor to be in the show, so we have to bring it every night.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: Well, people always say this to us like, imagine, you know, I can't imagine doing your job, right?
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: Or wow, you're so lucky, you get to do all this fun stuff.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: But we were pulling in and I was thinking, what if this was your job every day?
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: Your job is to be in a show that has been around for 25 years in Las Vegas, and that's your focus.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: What's that like?
- 20:24SPEAKER_03: It's it's so exciting.
- 20:25SPEAKER_03: It's I never thought I'd be in Vegas this long.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: I literally moved here and I was like, I'll just come out for three months, and then I, you know, would drive up and down the strip and I'd see the lights, and it was just like, this is where I want to be, and I want to be here as long as possible because it's such an amazing, amazing town in energy.
- 20:39SPEAKER_04: We've worked our entire lives to have this dream show.
- 20:42SPEAKER_04: All of us.
- 20:42SPEAKER_04: Most of us started at two or three in dance classes, and so I don't know, it's surreal.
- 20:48SPEAKER_04: It's really crazy walking into the Luxor every day and seeing the billboards and seeing the pictures and then getting to dance on stage every night.
- 20:54SPEAKER_04: I couldn't be happier.
- 20:56Sean McAllister: And we will have more on Fantasy's 25th anniversary as that fall uh anniversary date draws a little closer.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to some tips.
- 21:10Sean McAllister: Our first tip, Dana, this week, um, it revolves around one of the conventions that comes here to Las Vegas every single year.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: Uh, we have tons of conventions.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: The topics of these uh meetings vary uh uh tremendously.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: It's everything from you know mixing concrete to making pizza.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: The Vegas Pizza Fest is huge.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: People love it.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: It's the law well, that's the name of the website, but it's the Las Vegas Pizza Festival.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: Um, but VegasPizzafest.com for all the info on this one because I know a lot of people love going to this year after year.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: It starts at uh 55 bucks to get in.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: VIP tickets are 115 bucks, and the festival is taking place Saturday, November 16th from one to four.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: At the industrial event space that's 2330 Industrial Road.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: Like the city's top pizza chefs are gonna be there.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: And then they offer you these all-you can eat slices, ranging from like the traditional recipe stuff to like innovative modern fusions.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: So if you love pizza, this is your jam.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: And I love pizza, so this is definitely my jam.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: We should really write this down and go this year.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: We have never been.
- 22:28Sean McAllister: No, we haven't.
- 22:29Sean McAllister: We haven't.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: That would be great.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: I hear great things about it.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: So um, general admission, just so you know, grants entry to unlimited pizza samples, interactive installations, and photo ops, bars and festival merchandise.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: But the VIP ticket holders get exclusive privileges, including early entry at noon, complimentary beer with a commemorative beer tasting glass, access to the VIP lounge with seating and private air-conditioned restrooms, additional culinary bites and live entertainment.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: So there's the difference.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: Um, but 55 for general, 115 for VIP.
- 23:06Sean McAllister: I am all in for Las Vegas Pizza Fest again, November 16th from one to four.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: Hey, if you love country music, and we know a lot of you do, two really good country acts are coming to Las Vegas uh in December and probably around NFR.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: December 6th, Midland is coming for one show only.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: Um, it's part of their the get lucky tour.
- 23:30Dayna Roselli: Sean and I have seen Midland twice at private uh fundraiser events.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: They performed over at the M for the Olympia Foundation's Governor's Black Tie.
- 23:40Dayna Roselli: It they are fantastic, highly recommend.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: If you love country music and you follow Midland, they are going to be over at um the theater at Virgin.
- 23:52Sean McAllister: Also uh playing in that theater is Charlie Crockett hitting the stage for one night only on Saturday, December 14th.
- 24:01Sean McAllister: Um, so those are a couple uh acts that are gonna be in town around the time of NFR.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: So if you're coming into town for all that rodeo action, which is amazing, by the way.
- 24:14Sean McAllister: If you've never been to NFR, it's a great time.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 24:18Sean McAllister: Even if you're not into you know rodeo stuff year-round, it's just fun.
- 24:23Sean McAllister: It's great.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: It really is something.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: But like you, and even what you said, like Midland and Charlie Crockett, like two country ex coming in, but there's gonna be a slew of country.
- 24:31Sean McAllister: Oh, there'll be everywhere.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: Endless.
- 24:34Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:34Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: Hey, listen, uh, Sean's on his cruise, and so um, we're gonna let him go.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: We'll be back in town in Las Vegas, though, uh, soon.
