2024 Presidential Debate LIVE Coverage — Trump vs. Biden · Man in America Podcast

• 2:00
Seth Holehouse: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Man in America. I'm your host, Seth Holhouse. We are officially live. We hope it's been a little while, but we're excited for this. So we've got a pretty historic moment tonight.
• 2:15
We'll see how it goes. We have the presidential debate between Donald Trump and the current person in the White House, Joe Biden. And so joining me today is a good friend of mine, but also someone I would refer to as a political commentator, someone who really knows this stuff inside. That's my good friend, Chris Prossh. So let's go ahead and welcome Chris.
• 2:36
Thank you for joining us today. Good evening, sir.
• 2:40
Speaker 2: Absolute so happy to be here for
• 2:42
Seth Holehouse: you. Absolutely. So this is it's been a while since we did, like, a proper live show like this. Well, I'm I'm I'm pretty excited for it. So, Chris, give us just a quick background of yourself before we we dive into the pre, I guess, pregame, as we call it the pregame discussion.
• 2:59
You know, we're about twenty five minutes off from the debate starting. So just give us a little bit of background. So why would we trust anything you have to say about politics, Chris?
• 3:09
Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely. So, got my degree in politics, political science, and persuasion theory, actually. So two bachelor's degrees. So I'm I'm not as elitist as having a master's or a PhD unfortunately, but, but I think that's actually a positive these days.
• 3:22
But no, ten plus years in politics, managed over 75 campaigns at virtually every single level, you know, from state senate, state house, you know, US senate, state, I mean, sorry, US congressional, governor, you know, advise on a presidential campaign, interned at the UN, seen 20 plus states. I mean, it's I I could I could tell you more stories than you would be comfortable with about, about Washington DC and a lot of our state capitals. So, and then from there, switched over to, heavily, heavily helping out with media development. So
• 3:53
Seth Holehouse: So heading into this, what are you expecting? Like, what are what are some of your predictions? I mean, obviously, we know that CNN has greatly, I would say I'm not saying rigged things, but it's it's strange how the debate's set up. Right? There's no audience.
• 4:10
There's no reporters on-site. It's their I think they're sitting down, if I remember. That was a request from, you know, Joe. But they're they're both old guys, so it's not a bad thing if if they're they're gonna be sitting down. And but it's also strange, though, because I I saw just before, you know, earlier before we start recording, an announcement that that there's gonna be, I think, a one to two minute delay.
• 4:31
Did you see that? That they're delaying from, you know, between one and two minutes, which makes me think, like, knowing how broadcast works, those two minutes allow them to edit things. So even though it seems like it's a live debate, they could still be editing and clipping things out. So if president Trump says something about, you know, the the theft of the election or who of course, they'll say a lot probably. They can edit it.
• 4:55
But what what do you think? How do you think how fair is this? Do you think how it stacked up?
• 5:00
Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, honestly, I don't even really Trump and Biden not even really the topic of discussion right now. I mean, you know, I think it's much more around, you know, the the people of America are gonna be watching the media more than the actual presidential candidates. You know? So, I mean, it's you know, you're a % right.
• 5:17
They're not you know, I I believe, you know, the the Biden's White House has asked and the CNN has capitulated. They're gonna be sitting down instead of standing for ninety minutes, which I don't believe actually bodes well for Biden's optics. You're right. They're doing a two minute delay roughly. And before, I think it was actually a thirty second delay in the past, for any editing out.
• 5:36
But, yeah, I mean, I think if there's a rant or if there's some type of commotion that goes on, yeah, they're gonna edit it out completely. There's no audience there whatsoever. And what else? Oh, and mics, that's one thing you left out there, Seth, is mics will be muted, which basically means, you know, Trump's will probably be muted the entire time. And, yeah, no reporters allowed.
• 5:51
So for a for a party that screams democracy, they're they're having a very Stalinist debate.
• 5:58
Seth Holehouse: You know, but but one thing to add in there that it might be somewhat beneficial for Trump to have okay, not not by and large, but there's some aspect of the whole mics being muted thing that might be beneficial. Because for the people that are on the fence and people that maybe, like, they voted for Joe Biden because they hated Trump, and now they don't like Joe Biden because they've seen what, you know, three years of America looks like under him. That they're on on the fence that I think for a lot of them, like, they've been really put off by, you know, Trump kinda making his own rules and talking over people and doing what he does, which I think is is one of his strengths. But maybe it'll make him come across as a little more polite or a little more controlled to those people that, you know like, I meet a lot of folks out in the world, they might be Trump fans, but, like, it's almost like they have to give this they have to give this this disclaimer of, like, well, but I I don't like his tweets or, you know, like, I like Trump, but I I I don't like it.
• 6:55
I I don't like it. Like, there's this it's almost like they've built this layer of stuff in people that they're scared of standing behind the guy because of his personality. It's like, you know, it's like, you don't have to like him as your best friend. The guy's a president. Right?
• 7:07
Like, that's his job that he has to do. What what do you think?
• 7:10
Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, I think, both you know, you know, Biden's taking the week off from, you know, from his presidential duties to prepare for this debate, at Camp David. You You know, I think, Biden's gonna try to go in there and, be very relaxed, very comfortable. You know, he's gonna, I think him and and the CNN moderators are gonna attack Trump pretty heavily with convictions, convictions, convictions, j six. And then Biden will obviously try to try and tout, you know, his 15,000,000 new jobs that he's created and, you know, allegedly at least.
• 7:39
And I think Trump you know, if he was smart, I think Trump would walk in there and, you know, push the seat aside and say, no, I'm gonna stand for ninety minutes to kind of showcase strength. But, know, if I was Trump, you know, even beyond that, you know, Trump has the base. You know, he has the base. He has a 98% approval rating. He needs to try to win over those swing states.
• 7:57
And then he needs to prove that. I mean, he's leading in all the polls. You know, Rasmussen had him at nine points ahead nationwide last week. You know, he's leading in all the swing states by about two to four points. You know, if I was him, be cool, calm, and collected.
• 8:09
Do not give them an inch. Do not give them one inch. This is this is your one time to be a little bit more presidential.
• 8:17
Seth Holehouse: Yep. I agree. So diving into a little more of of your perspective on what's happening in the political field. VP picks. What are your thoughts on, I think, who you think Trump will end up picking, but also who you wish or you'd like to see him picking?
• 8:37
Speaker 2: Well, if I mean, if I had my dream scenario, it would be, you know, senator Mike Lee from Utah or or maybe a Ted Cruz or DeSantis, but, that's none of those are gonna happen. You know, I I I have noticed, you know, behind the veil with with mainstream media, they've they keep pushing the same narrative over and over again. You know, governor Bergam of North Dakota or, you know, senator Vance of Ohio. And I don't think Trump's gonna pick either one of them. You know, governor Bergam is a fine governor, North Dakota.
• 9:03
You know, he's a but the media would have a field day with that. You know, you can't have two old white guys who are also billionaires in the White House. It just it wouldn't translate very well. You know? And and secondly, Trump doesn't need Burghum.
• 9:13
You know, he doesn't need governor Burghum. You know, Trump can you know, Trump raised $500,000,000 just last month with the RNC after the conviction, you know, and he'll win North Dakota regardless. You know, senator Vance, he's barely a year and a half into his into his first, you know, junior senate term. You know? And honestly, I don't think the Mitch McConnell elites of Washington DC want Vance anywhere near the White House right now.
• 9:34
You know? And so I I think those two are just, you know, distractions to be honest with you. You know, there's talks, speculation of Ben Carson or, Senator Tim Scott. Both are great men in my opinion, but, they both have a serious issue of a lack of, enthusiasm. Nobody wakes up and says, oh man, get to vote for these guys today.
• 9:52
Know, I think they both have great credibility, great policy, great perspectives, but there's just no enthusiasm for them. You know, I honestly, if it was up to me, I think the Trump campaign should seriously take a look at Senator Rubio. You know, he's young, he's affluent, you know, he's handsome, he's charismatic. He's been waiting for this for a long time. You know, he's been in the senate now close to fourteen, fifteen years now.
• 10:12
And, the Democrats and Joe Biden are hedging their bets heavily, heavily on the Hispanic votes. You know, maybe illegal votes a little bit, but, you know, I think the Republicans wanted to beat the Democrats at their own game with identity politics. They can champion themselves as being the first party to bring a Hispanic to the White House. And I think that's and and I think he would Rubio would do very well. Let's not forget 2016.
• 10:34
Rubio did very well in Minnesota and in Virginia, states that Trump desperately needs. Know? Granted, that's eight years later. But still, I mean, Rubio, I think, does very well in, in those swing states.
• 10:44
Seth Holehouse: Let's let's talk about election theft. Because it's like, you know, like, we we can, you know, we can sit down like this and talk and say, well, okay. Let's see how the debate goes and, you know, like, are the polls saying? And all that goes out the window when election night happens, and, you know, the there's missing ballots, and the water pipe bursts, and, you know, they they shut down vote, you know, counting overnight, and the UPS trucks show up, and, you know, there's 300,000 more ballots in Wisconsin or whatever it is. It's like every it's it's kinda funny.
• 11:15
It's like all of this pregame stuff, it's the debates, the polls, all this rhetoric nonstop. If they just steal the election again, it all goes out the window. It doesn't matter. The debate doesn't matter, right, if if they just steal the election. Now, hopefully, you know, my my hope is that enough people come out and vote and that there's enough people voting.
• 11:39
So, you know, ideally, right, so there's enough people voting for Trump that they can overwhelm whatever mechanisms they have in place to steal the election. So, obviously, things like this debate do matter because if they if they can take an extra 5% of the independents, right, and, you know, getting and swaying over towards Trump, that might be enough, like what we saw happen in 2016. Like, I guarantee you, they had all kinds of fail safes in place, all kinds of mechanisms to make sure that Trump was not gonna beat Hillary, but he did. Because I think enough people came out and voted. So but what what what I mean, obviously, we have the illegals, which to me, this is this is the variable.
• 12:15
Right? COVID was the variable in 2020 that allowed them to change all the voting rules, all the mail in ballots, opened up the entire field of play for massive, massive fraud all under the guise of COVID. Now, obviously, there's no you know, I think they're trying for a pandemic two point o. Nothing stuck. But if you look at what's happening with the border and all the illegals, that's my concern is that, you know, they might have you know, Joe Biden might you know, say Trump gets 85,000,000 votes, but they're like, wow.
• 12:46
Joe Biden got a 5,000,000 votes. It's like, what those extra 30,000,000 people come from? Right? But, Chris, what are your thoughts?
• 12:54
Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, you said it all pretty much, Seth. I mean, there there is vast reports that the welfare clinics in every state pretty much are, you know, being mandated by the feds to hand out, you know, you know, election ballots to illegals, you know. And, you know, people are saying, oh, that's impossible. Oh, they can't do that.
• 13:11
Well, you have to understand that, you know, the Department of Health and Human Services is handing out social security cards too. It's not that difficult for an illegal immigrant to get that, you know, and a lot of these states need to hamper down with their election laws. A lot of them are just like, oh, simple charter's license and you can, know, vote up. You can vote away and it's they have to understand that, unless there's actual proof that they are actual citizens, not residents, citizens of their of their individual states. It's it's gonna be, you know, a mess.
• 13:36
But but I will say a couple statistics for you though, you know, overwhelmingly, 80% according to Forbes, eighty percent of the illegals that have port across this country in the past four years, over 80% of them have are still, according to estimates, still in Texas and New York and Florida and California. Those are the four states that still have the most of them, which is which is concerning for me because, you know, if I'm the Democrats long term, you know, I think they're tired of New York, California versus Texas and Florida. And I think they wanna overwhelm the the voting systems in Texas and Florida. You know, I I know DeSantis did good things there in Florida by strengthening the election laws, you know, before the midterms last time. But I think governor Abbott needs to wake up a little bit and realize that I think they have a big play and a big push in in Texas.
• 14:19
But at the same time, though, you know, I I do think, you know, in 2020, their plan barely worked. Let's not forget that. You know, I think in Georgia, you know, Trump, you know, lost by what, 17,000 votes. You know, Arizona, I think it was right around, what was it? Not not even 20,000, not even.
• 14:38
You know, same similar in in in Wisconsin and Michigan, obviously, Pennsylvania. But my point being is their plan barely worked last time. But the difference though is, if I'm the if I'm the Democrats, I think they're they need to pay more attention to three factors, you know, and I think they're taking these three massively for granted. I think they're taking the black vote massively for granted. And people don't realize in 2012, Mitt Romney had got about 4% of the black vote.
• 15:03
In 2016, Trump got about 6%. But in 2020, Trump got 12%. And even CNN is reporting that he might get as high as 25, 30 percent of the black vote. Because the black Americans, from what I'm hearing and seeing, they're massively disenfranchised with the Democrats because they feel that they are being replaced by the Hispanics and largely the illegals who are taking over their schools, taking over their their boarding facilities, taking over, you know, their their hospitals, that, you know, their hotels. You know, I think there's a report that came out in the New York Post about how a third of all of all, hotels in New York City are housing illegal immigrants for free at the taxpayer's expense.
• 15:38
So it's not translating well to to work I'm sorry, to urban black America. So that's number one. Think that I think, know and and Trump is pushing hard for the black vote. You know, he he met in Milwaukee with with a pastor's summit of African American, leaders in the Detroit area and, in the Milwaukee area. And then he also had a a black business owners meeting in Atlanta just last week.
• 15:57
So, I mean, he's he's pushing very hard for that right now. I think that's very intelligent of him. You know, and I would say also the independents and the moderates. You know, Trump has a 98% approval rating with his own party. You know?
• 16:07
Biden doesn't. He has about a 48 approval rating within his own party. I think there's a massive anger with the Democrat voter where they can't keep saying orange man bad. It doesn't translate anymore. Trump hasn't been in office, you know, for almost four years now.
• 16:19
And Biden was supposed be this great white hope savior of of being a moderate and being that olive branch across the aisle, and he's done the exact opposite. You know? And I think that's what leads into number three is is Bobby Kennedy. You know? I mean, let's not forget Ross Perot took 19% of the votes away from George Bush.
• 16:34
George Bush would have destroyed Bill Clinton in 1992. He would have easily done it. But Ross Perot took 19% of votes away, which equated to about 19,000,000 votes. So Bobby Kennedy gets on the ballot, and he's already on the ballot of, I think, 18 to 20 states already. So if he gets on the ballot in in another another 20 states and he's on, you know, forty, forty five states total, I don't think it's gonna do I don't think that he could very easily Ross Perle Biden.
• 16:56
Seth Holehouse: Which is a good point, which is it's disappointing that he's not in this debate. I mean, he's a Kennedy. Right? Like, he it's like it's no. There's no question about it that that he has enough support that he should be up there on this stage.
• 17:10
I mean and I think it's just there's a handful of reasons why I think that he's not. I think one of the big ones is actually the vaccine stuff, and he's he's so outspoken against it. And I'd be curious. Like, I'd love to see him talk vaccines with Trump. Because this is the one thing is this is one of the the big things that I I I I still can't wrap my head around with Trump, and I and I, you know, I I personally, I think he is the the better candidate.
• 17:36
Right? You know, obviously, especially for this audience, they know that. But it's the vaccine stuff is something that I I can't get over, but it'd be really interesting to see a debate where RFK is actually talking vaccines to Trump because we we've seen what happens when Candace Owens brought it up. And so when when Trump responds to any kind of pushback on the vaccines, he doesn't it's not like he's coming from this place of, like, great understanding of the mechanisms of the VAERS system. He knows how to walk around it.
• 18:06
He's just kinda like, nope. Nope. Nope. We saved all these lives, and and he kinda shut it down. Whereas something like RFK that would be able to, like, actually like, the guy's an expert at defending his position on the vaccines, which is very close to my position on just the the truth of the vaccines.
• 18:22
So yeah. But it's it's a shame, and it's really, it again, it's it's another indicator of just where our country's at that he's not even up on this debate stage.
• 18:31
Speaker 2: Well and and we can address that briefly too, Seth, you know, if I may. I mean, you're you're right. You know, I think if if the democrats wanted to deliver a knockout punch to Trump, you know, they would bring up the the COVID, you know, response, you know. But at the same time, they would also bury themselves too. So it it it would be, you know, burying both parties.
• 18:47
But, you know, I I you know, with with the COVID lockdowns and and whatnot, you know, forty years ago, you know, yeah, I I there's a lot that I fought president Trump for. But let's not forget though, he was he was forced into an impossible situation where if he didn't act soon enough, he would have been blamed. If he acted too quickly, he's gonna be blamed. And nothing that he did, no matter what he did, you know, was gonna work. And let's not forget, doctor Deborah Birx wrote a book just last year about how in that book she admitted that her and Fauci lied to him constantly during 2020.
• 19:15
And I don't know how she's not in prison for treason for that. But my point being is I I don't think he had any help whatsoever of anybody giving him any real honest truth. So I I I gave him a little bit of a pass for that, but it's yeah. Oh my goodness. Yeah.
• 19:27
We could that's a whole whole other topic. But, anyway.
• 19:30
Seth Holehouse: Yeah. It it is. It is. I'm curious. I mean, how do you think obviously, we'll see you soon, but how do you think Biden will do tonight?
• 19:37
Because we've seen some really, really strange behavior. We've seen I mean, honestly, you know, indicators of whether whether it's early onset Alzheimer's or dementia or some form. I mean, weird, weird behavior. There's been I've seen a lot of conversation about drug testing and how he's refusing drug testing, and there's people saying, okay. How much Adderall is this guy gonna be on?
• 19:57
How much adrenaline is he gonna be on? What what are you expecting to come out of him?
• 20:02
Speaker 2: Yeah. I I think, you know, since he took a week off, basically, you know, to be at Camp David, I think, you know, he I mean, I think he probably rested a lot. I mean, I I wouldn't be surprised if if his if his handlers, you know, gave him something, to make sure that he is laser focused tonight. I think, you know, their whole plan is to show a different side of Biden, a with it, you know, very, you know, alert, you know, very, you know, focused president, you know, a very and I think I think he returns back to his moderate, you know, roots, you know, for for ninety minutes. You know?
• 20:31
And I think he hampers down. Again, I think he I think he's gonna I think he's gonna go on the offensive. He has to. He has to, he has to buck the system a little bit. Go go on the offensive against Trump and blame him again.
• 20:41
Conviction, conviction, and j six. It's kinda to demonstrate that Trump is, you know, a dictator, and he's insane, and he's a convicted felon, and this is just an this is an embarrassment, and I've done so many wonderful things for this country. And I I think I think, you know, either one or two things are gonna happen. Actually, one of three things. I take that back.
• 20:56
Either Biden is gonna be a complete disaster tonight, and he's not gonna be prepared. He's gonna have a very big senior moment, or the media will protect him aggressively very, or he's gonna, you know, be very well medicated, and he's gonna come out like looking like, you know, February.
• 21:11
Seth Holehouse: Yeah. I guess we will see soon. Before we get jumping in, I got two quick sponsors to discuss with you. So one, Sweetamine folks that, you know, they they've they've heard me talk about this for quite some time now. I've interviewed doctor Joel Brand, who's the founder of this.
• 21:26
So Sweetamine is one of the show's sponsors. So, basically, what it is is it's a little sweetener that has glycine in it. So glycine is something that we would be getting from animals from eating them, but it's all usually only in the the cartilage, the bones, the marrow, etcetera. So a lot of folks are eating a lot of animal, but they're not eating the bones and, like, the bone broth, etcetera. So they're not getting glycine.
• 21:48
So what glycine does is glycine is one of the key elements that actually prevents inflation inflation. Yeah. Good luck with inflation. Inflammation from from happening. Right?
• 22:00
So that the whole idea with this is inflammation actually is not a healthy response, whether you sprain your wrist or you get a sunburn. It's the inflammation that's actually a lot of times caused by not having enough glycine. And so what sweetamine does is it's a little sweetener that has, I think, eight milligrams of glycine, which is that you recommend about ten per day. Anyway, you dump it in your coffee, your tea in the morning, and it really, really helps. And it actually there's been a pretty incredible testimonials.
• 22:25
Like, I've I've read a lot of these, and they're real. Like, it it's a very real product that that people are just finding pain relief, relief from inflation again, inflation, inflammation, and whatnot. So the website for this is mysweetamine.com/seth. So mysweetamine.com/seth. They also have something where if you try the trial package, I think it's like $20.
• 22:49
If you don't like it, just email them and they'll refund your money. There's no need to send a package back, anything like that. Our other sponsor tonight is Balance of Nature. So Balance of Nature. This is an interesting concept for me as a company.
• 23:01
So the whole idea with it is that you get these all your fruits and vegetables in these little capsules, which for people that eat a healthy diet, eating whole foods every day, it's maybe not as necessary. But I've taken a different approach with this. I've actually I've I've got a bunch of balance and nature stuff. For me, it's more of a prep food. So this is something that I'm buying, and you can take it daily if you want to, but I'm looking at it and saying, look, let's just say there's a food shortage in the future.
• 23:24
These little capsules, like these fruit and veggie capsules inside these bottles are just chock full of really dense nutrients from literally from fresh fruits and vegetables. So even if you don't, know, a, it's good for just daily usage to get your fruits and veggies and get those things you're not eating in your regular diet, but even if you look at it as something you can set aside and save in case, you know, the the world kinda goes crazy, which might be happening after this election, that's another great perspective that I have on it. That's how I use them. I've got a big box of these things in my food storage area. So there's also a big sale right now.
• 24:00
I think it's close to 50% off right now. If not if not, 50% exactly. So it's balanceofnature.com. You can also call +1 802468751. Promo code Seth, s e t h.
• 24:12
Lets them know that the ads are working, which is good. So again, balanceofnature.com, 1 8 hundred 2 4 6 8 7 5 one. So Chris, are you taking your Bounce of Nature and Sweetmeat every day? Are you
• 24:25
Speaker 2: Yes, sir. They're both fantastic companies.
• 24:29
Seth Holehouse: Okay. So we're about five minutes away from the start of this. And, you know, I've I've never done a lot I've never done one of these livestream of something else that we're commenting on it. So, you know, this is a this is a fun first. But my my aim with it is to try to let you I I don't wanna be talking over them.
• 24:49
I I don't wanna be sitting here making distractions and and and, you know, look at Joe Biden, what he's saying. I wanna give them a chance to talk. But there's obviously gonna be breaks and everything where we can then get into our analysis and everything, and have have that commentary. So
• 25:02
Speaker 2: I will if I may interrupt briefly.
• 25:04
  Seth Holehouse: No. Go ahead.
• 25:05
Speaker 2: I got I got my Twitter sphere up, everybody's already freaking out. Apparently, according to, miss Laura Laura Trump, revealing CNN is only allowing two people from each campaign into watch the debate in person. Everyone else will have to watch from another building including family. So they're already censoring and they're not and they're not even letting journalists in. So it's, it's gonna be an interesting, they're censoring everybody else except for what, four people total.
• 25:31
So I guess in this entire building, Seth, in this entire debate, only 10 people get to be there.
• 25:36
Seth Holehouse: You know, Chris, it looks like Rumble is down.
• 25:41
  Speaker 2: Oh, really?
• 25:42
Seth Holehouse: Yeah. Yeah. I'm, like, I'm I'm this is Rumble right here. And it looks like Rumble is down. Let's go see if things are up.
• 25:51
Okay. Yep. We're still up over on Twitter, over on X. But the yeah. The main Rumble website is down.
• 26:03
Loads the epoch times, which is just my let's try it again. Yeah. Crazy if Rumble's down. Let's see if let's hop over onto onto Twitter, and let's see over here if there's any discussion about Rumble being down over here.
• 26:23
Speaker 2: Yep. Looking right now too. More censorship, I'm sure. Yep. It begins.
• 26:31
Rumble is down for our household.
• 26:34
Seth Holehouse: Oh, yep. Yeah. That's what we're seeing on on here. Of course.
• 26:42
Speaker 2: Due to heavy traffic.
• 26:45
  Seth Holehouse: That's crazy.
• 26:45
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 26:46
Seth Holehouse: Yeah. So saying Rumble Zone. So I'm I'm gonna put a few messages out to folks so that if the people that were watching on Rumble so let me go and do that really quickly here, especially over on Telegram, let people know.
• 27:13
Speaker 2: Oh, I think it's back up. Hold on. Let me check it. Nope. It's not.
• 27:16
  Seth Holehouse: Never mind. Crazy.
• 27:19
  Speaker 2: That's ridiculous.
• 27:20
Seth Holehouse: Yeah. Yeah. Not good. Not good. Yeah.
• 27:23
Because I'm last I saw looking at Rumble, the homepage of Rumble, was like, you know, close to probably a hundred thousand that were on were on Crowder. There were there's a handful of other ones. Tim Pool was on the homepage with probably 30 or 40,000 watching live. Man. Crazy.
• 27:42
Absolutely crazy. Well, I mean, we're lucky that we've got x. I mean, and this is what's kinda crazy about this in general is that it shows how vulnerable everything is. You know, this this just shows. It's like, okay.
• 27:55
We have one more platform x. Otherwise, it's like that there's it's very difficult, actually, because as I mean, YouTube is not allowing anybody to stream this. I think Facebook is cutting people off. There's so they they don't want independent journalists covering this. So Correct.
• 28:14
Thankfully, Rumble and X have both stood for free speech, but it's a shame. I mean, it's it's disappointing to see that rumble. The whole the literally, the whole website is down. But but what that shows you, though, is that no one wants to go watch the mainstream. Like, no one wants to go just turn on CNN and support them.
• 28:34
They wanna go to the independent creators and go to independent channels and see what's happening. So and I hope it comes back up. It'd be very disappointing if if Rumble was down. But at least we've got at least we've got good old x. Thank you, Elon.
• 28:49
Yeah. Yep. So we're still, there we go. We're still alive and healthy on X over there.
• 28:58
Speaker 2: We'll keep checking simultaneously, I guess.
• 29:00
Seth Holehouse: Yeah, yep. So, okay. So, we're getting into it. We are about a minute away. Let me go ahead and pull up the news coverage that we're gonna be utilizing.
• 29:11
This is it right here. Let me just do a quick refresh of the page to make sure that we are in sync. So I tried looking at I tried using CNN, you know, .com, but it was making me try to log in with a cable provider. So, anyway, so I think I think that if if I'm not mistaken, that CBS should be live streaming this as well Yep. Just through their website.
• 29:38
Once we finish this Dollar General. Yeah. Great. Buy more crap made in China. Right?
• 29:43
That's that's that's wonderful. Dollar General. Thank you. So, Chris, are you nervous? Are you nervous with anticipation?
• 29:53
Speaker 2: I'm more or less very, very curious. I'm I'm just curious to see what bite what version of Biden we're gonna get and what version of Trump we're
• 30:01
Seth Holehouse: gonna Yeah. Me too. Actually, that's the thing too. It's just I'm curious. I don't know what to expect.
• 30:08
I do expect that the moderators everything is against Trump. I do expect that. Yep. Yep. But, yeah, it's it's hard to say what comes out of this.
• 30:19
I'll pull that web page back up once they cut back from commercial. Gosh. What a shame about Rumble, though. I I I
• 30:26
Speaker 2: man. Don't forget one of the moderators called Trump Hitler a couple couple years back. So, you know you know that they're unbiased, so that's good.
• 30:33
Seth Holehouse: Of course, they're unbiased. Absolutely.
• 30:35
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 30:39
Seth Holehouse: This commercial's in commercial. Reminds me why I don't watch cable TV, because I have so little patience for commercials. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Okay.
• 30:52
Well, hopefully we'll be starting soon. And hopefully they get rumble back up. I know that for a lot of folks, let me go check over on my telegram because I know that for a lot of folks they're watching on yeah. A lot of people are saying Rumble's not working. Let me go ahead and share really quickly.
• 31:12
Just with the telegram folks, I'm going to share.
• 31:18
Speaker 2: Facebook too and all that?
• 31:20
Seth Holehouse: I didn't bother putting it on the Facebook because I think that Facebook they said that they were going to. Okay. They said they were going to also pull down streams that were showing the that they were kind of broadcasting what CNN was gonna have. Okay, message out to telegram. Let's jump back in.
• 31:41
Commercials. Still commercials over there. And Rumble is still down. What a shame. Gosh.
• 31:49
There there honestly, there were probably half a million people watching Rumble live right now that would have been watching across all the different channels.
• 31:57
Speaker 2: Half a million or half a billion?
• 31:59
Seth Holehouse: Half a million. I mean, you look at live viewer I mean, Steven Crowder, last I saw on the homepage, had close to a hundred thousand.
• 32:05
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:05
Seth Holehouse: Temple was at, like, 30 or 30,000. Right? So if you look at, you know, look at all the streams concurrently, it was a lot of people. Yeah. Poor.
• 32:17
I've got a, you know, big shout out to Rumble though. Right? For all the folks that are watching this, Rumble, like, I'm such a big fan of those guys, their team over there. That's, you know, they're the future of free speech. That's for sure.
• 32:32
They have they've played such an important role in allowing content creators to just to just to to speak. So alright. Yeah. So still commercials, but let's say looks like we're getting back in now. Okay.
• 32:54
Let's see what they're saying here.
• 32:56
Speaker 4: Will be the most important day in the history of our country.
• 33:01
Speaker 5: This is a CBS News special, America decides, the first presidential debate. Now reporting, Nora O'Donnell.
• 33:11
Speaker 6: Good evening. We are just moments away from one of the most consequential events of this presidential campaign. President Biden and former president Trump face off in the first debate of the general election, the two meeting for the first time since 2020. They will outline their contrasting visions for America. This is also a chance for you, the voters, to judge the candidates in one of the only face to face confrontations before the election.
• 33:39
Our CBS News team will be back after the debate for analysis and fact checking. Now to Atlanta for the first presidential debate hosted by CNN.
• 33:48
Seth Holehouse: Good thing they're fact checking.
• 33:49
  Speaker 2: Yeah. Exactly.
• 33:51
Speaker 7: Each will make his case to the American people with just over four months until election day. Good evening. I'm Dana Bash, anchor of CNN's inside politics and co anchor of State of the Union.
• 34:02
Speaker 5: I'm Jake Tapper, anchor of CNN's, the lead and co anchor of State of the Union. Dana and I will co moderate this evening. Our job is to facilitate a debate between the two candidates tonight. Before we introduce them, we wanna share the rules of the debate with the audience at home. Former president Trump will be on the left side of the screen.
• 34:22
President Biden will be appearing on the right. A coin toss determined their positions. Each candidate will have two minutes to answer a question.
• 34:30
Speaker 2: Oh, there's no chairs.
• 34:31
Speaker 5: Minute each for responses and rebuttals. Yeah. An additional minute for follow-up clarification or response is at the moderator's discretion.
• 34:40
Speaker 7: When it's time for a candidate to speak, his microphone will be turned on and his opponent's microphone will be turned off. Should a candidate interrupt when his microphone is muted, he will be difficult to understand for viewers at home. At the end of the debate, each candidate will get two minutes for closing statements. There is no studio audience tonight. Pre written notes, props, or contact with campaign staff are not permitted during the debate.
• 35:07
By accepting our invitation to debate, both candidates and their campaigns agreed agreed to accept these rules.
• 35:14
Speaker 5: Now please welcome the forty sixth president of The United States, Joe Biden.
• 35:28
  Speaker 4: And
• 35:32
Speaker 5: please welcome the forty fifth president of The United States, Donald Trump. Gentlemen, thanks so much for being here. Let's begin the debate and let's start with the issue that voters consistently say is their top concern, the economy. President Biden, inflation has slowed, but prices remain high. Since you took office, the price of essentials has increased.
• 36:04
For example, a basket of groceries that cost a hundred dollars then now costs more than $120. And typical home prices have jumped more than 30%. What do you say to voters who feel they are worse off under your presidency than they were under president Trump?
• 36:20
Speaker 3: We gotta take a look at what I was left when I became president and what mister Trump left me. We had an economy that was in free fall. The pandemic was so badly handled. Many people were dying. All he said was it's not that serious.
• 36:33
Just inject a little bleach in your arm. You'll be alright. The economy collapsed. There were no jobs. Unemployment rate rose to 15%.
• 36:41
It was terrible. And so what we had to do is try to put things back together again. That's exactly what we began to do. We created 15,000 new jobs and we brought out another position where we have 800,000 new manufacturing jobs. There's more to be there's more to done.
• 36:57
Working class people are still in trouble. I come from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I come of household where the kitchen table, if things weren't able to be met during the month, it was a problem. Price of eggs, the price of gas, the price of housing, the price of a whole range of things. Why I'm working so hard to make sure I deal
• 37:13
  Speaker 2: with that
• 37:14
Speaker 3: we're going to make sure that we reduce the price of housing. We're going to make sure we build 2,000,000 new units. We're going make sure we cap rents so corporate greed can take over. The combination that was left within corporate greed is the reason why we're in this problem right now. In addition to that, we're in a situation where if you had to take a look at all that was done in his administration, he didn't do much at all.
• 37:37
By the time he left, those things were in chaos, literally chaos. And so we put things back together. We created, I said, those jobs. We make sure we had a situation where we now we brought down the price of prescription drugs, is a major issue for many people. The $15 for insulin shot as opposed to $400 No senior has to pay more than $200 for any drug, all the drugs they conclude beginning next year.
• 38:04
And the situation is making and we're going make that available to everybody, to all Americans. So we're working to bring down the price of around the kitchen table, and that's what we're gonna get done.
• 38:13
Speaker 5: Thank you. President Trump?
• 38:15
Speaker 4: We have the greatest economy in the history of our country. We have never done so well. Every everybody was amazed by it. Other countries were copying us. We got hit with COVID.
• 38:27
And when we did, we spent the money necessary so we wouldn't end up in a great depression, the likes of which we had in 1929. By the time we finished, so we did a great job. We got a lot of credit for the economy, a lot of credit for the military, and no wars, and so many other things. Everything was rocking good. But the thing we never got the credit for and we should have is getting us out of that COVID mess.
• 38:49
He created mandates that was a disaster for our country, but other than that, we had we had given them back a a country where the stock market actually was higher than pre COVID and nobody thought that was even possible. The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounce back jobs, a bounce back from the COVID. He has not done a good job. He's done a poor job and inflation is killing our country. It is absolutely killing us.
• 39:14
Speaker 5: Thank you. President Biden?
• 39:16
Speaker 3: Well, look, the greatest economy in the world. He he's the only one who thinks that, I think. I don't know anybody else who thinks he he had the greatest economy in the world. And, you know, the fact of the matter is that we pride ourselves in a situation where his his economy, he rewarded the wealthy. He had the largest tax cut in American history, $2,000,000,000,000.
• 39:36
He raised a deficit larger than any president has in any one term. He's the only president other than Herbert Hoover who's had lost more jobs than he had when he began since Herbert Hoover. The idea that he did something that significant in the military, you know, when he was president, they were still killing people in Afghanistan. He didn't do anything about that. When he was president, we were still finding ourselves in a position where you had a notion that we were this safe
• 40:17
had country. Truth is, I'm the only president this century that doesn't have any this this decade, that don't have any troops dying anywhere in the world like he did. President Trump, I wanna follow-up if I can. Want to respond to him?
• 40:18
Speaker 5: Well, I'm gonna ask you a follow-up. You can do whatever you want with the minute that we give you. I I wanna follow-up. You you wanna impose a 10% tariff on all goods coming into The US. How will you ensure that that doesn't drive prices even higher?
• 40:30
Speaker 4: It's not gonna drive them higher. It's just gonna cause countries that have been ripping us off for years like China and many others in all fairness to China. It's gonna just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things. But he would he made a statement. The only thing he was right about is I gave you the largest tax cut in history.
• 40:49
I also gave you the largest regulation cut in history. That's why we had all the jobs. And the jobs went down and then they bounced back and he's taking credit for bounced back jobs. You can't do that. He also said he inherited 9% inflation.
• 41:01
No. He inherited almost no inflation and it stayed that way for fourteen months and then it blew up under his leadership because they spent money like a bunch of people that didn't know what they were doing and they don't know what they were doing. Was probably the worst administration in history. There's never been. And as far as Afghanistan is concerned, I was getting out of Afghanistan, but we're getting out with dignity, with strength, with power.
• 41:25
He got out. It was the most embarrassing day in the history of our country's life.
• 41:30
Speaker 5: President Trump, over the last eight years under both of your administrations, the national debt soared to record highs. And according to a new nonpartisan analysis, president Trump, your administration approved $8,400,000,000,000 in new debt, while so far president Biden, you've approved $4,300,000,000,000 in new debt. So former president Trump, many of the tax cuts that you signed into law are set to expire next year. You want to extend them and go even further, you say. With The US facing trillion dollar deficits and record debt, why should top earners and corporations pay even less in taxes than they do now?
• 42:04
Speaker 4: Because the tax cuts spurred the greatest economy that we've ever seen just prior to COVID. And even after COVID, it was so strong that we're able to get through COVID much better than just about any other country. But we spurred that tax spurred. Now when we cut the taxes, as an example, the corporate tax was cut down to 21% from 39% plus beyond that. We took in more revenue with much less tax and companies were bringing back trillions of dollars back into our country.
• 42:32
The country was going like never before and we were ready to start paying down debt. We're ready to start using the liquid gold right under our feet. The oil and gas right under our feet. We were going to have something that nobody else has had. We got hit with COVID.
• 42:46
We did a lot to fix it. I gave him an unbelievable situation with all of the therapeutics and all of the things that we came up with. We we gave him something great. Remember, more people died under his administration even though we had largely fixed it. More people died under his administration than our administration, and we were right in the middle of it, something which a lot of people don't like to talk about.
• 43:10
But he had far more people dying in his administration. He did the mandate, which is a disaster, mandating it. The vaccine went out. He did a mandate on the vaccine, which is the thing that people most objected to about the vaccine. And he did a very poor job, just a very poor job.
• 43:26
And I will tell you, not only poor there, but throughout the entire world, we're no longer respected as a country. Respect our leadership. They don't respect The United States anymore. We're like a third world nation between weaponization of his election, trying to go after his political opponent. All of the things he's done, we've become like a third world nation, and it's a shame.
• 43:48
The damage he's done to our country and I'd love to ask him and Will why he allowed millions of people to come in here from prisons, jails, and mental institutions to come into our country and destroy our country.
• 44:00
Speaker 5: President Trump, we will get to immigration later in this block. President Biden, I wanna give you an opportunity to respond to this question about the national debt.
• 44:08
Speaker 3: He had the largest national debt of any president in a four year period, number one. Number two, that $2,000,000,000,000 tax cut benefited the very wealthy. The I what I'm gonna do is fix the taxes. And for example, we have a thousand trillionaires in America I mean, billionaires in America. And what's happening?
• 44:26
They're situation where they in fact pay 8.2% in taxes. If they just paid 24%, twenty five %, either one of those numbers, they'd raise $500,000,000 billion dollars I should say, in a ten year period. We'd be able to wipe out his debt. We'd be able to help make sure that all those things we need to do, childcare, eldercare, making sure that we continue to strengthen our healthcare system, making sure that we're able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I've been able to do with the COVID excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with look, if we finally beat Medicare.
• 45:11
Speaker 5: Thank you, president, Biden. President Trump?
• 45:14
Speaker 4: Well, he's right. He did beat Medicare. He beat it to death, and he's destroying Medicare because all of these people are coming in. They're putting them on Medicare. They're putting them on Social Security.
• 45:24
They're gonna destroy Social Security. This man is going to single handedly destroy Social Security. These millions and millions of people coming in, they're trying to put them on Social Security. He will wipe out Social Security. He will wipe out Medicare.
• 45:39
So he was right in the way he finished that sentence, and it's a shame. What's happened to our country in the last four years is not to be believed. Foreign countries I'm friends with a lot of people. They cannot believe what happened to The United States Of America. We no longer respected.
• 45:54
They they don't like us. We give them everything they want, and they they think we're stupid. They think we're very stupid people. What we're doing for other countries, and they do nothing for us. What this man has done is absolutely criminal.
• 46:09
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. Tana?
• 46:11
Speaker 7: This is the first presidential election since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade. This morning, the court ruled on yet another abortion case temporarily allowing emergency abortions to continue in Idaho despite that state's restrictive ban. Former President Trump, you take credit for the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which returned the issue of abortion to the states. Correct.
• 46:36
However, the federal government still plays a role in whether or not women have access to abortion pills. They're used used in about two thirds of all abortions. As president, would you block abortion medication?
• 46:52
Speaker 4: First of all, the Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill, and I agree with their decision to have done that, and I will not block it. And if you look at this whole question that you're asking, a complex but not really complex. Fifty one years ago, you had Roe v Wade and everybody wanted to get it back to the states, everybody, without exception, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives. Everybody wanted it Conservatives. Everybody wanted it back, religious leaders.
• 47:19
And what I did is I put three great Supreme Court justices on the court, and they happened to vote in favor of killing Roe v Wade and moving it back to the states. This is something that everybody wanted. Now ten years ago or so, they started talking about how many weeks and how many this and getting into other things. But every legal scholar throughout the world, the most respected, wanted it brought back to the states. I did that.
• 47:44
Now the states are working it If you look at Ohio, it was a decision that was it was a an end result that was a little bit more liberal than you would have thought. Kansas, I would say the same thing. Texas is different. Florida is different. But they're all making their own decisions right now.
• 47:59
And right now, the states control it. That's the vote of the people. Like Ronald Reagan, I believe in the exceptions. I am a person that believes. And frankly, I think it's important to believe in the exceptions.
• 48:11
Some people, you have to follow your heart. Some people don't believe in that. But I believe in the exceptions for rape incest and the life of the mother. I think it's very important. Some people don't.
• 48:22
Follow your heart. But you have to get elected also. And because that has to do with other things. You gotta get elected. The problem they have is they're radical because they will take the life of a child in the eighth month, the ninth month, and even after birth.
• 48:35
After birth, if you look at the former governor of Virginia, he was willing to do this. He said, we'll put the baby aside and we'll determine what we do with the baby, meaning we'll kill the baby. What happened is we brought it back to The States and the country is now coming together on this issue. It's been a great thing.
• 48:53
Speaker 7: Thank you. President Biden?
• 48:55
Speaker 3: It's been a terrible thing what you've done. The fact is that the vast majority of constitutional scholars supported Roe when it was decided, supported Roe. And that was that's this idea that they were all against it is just ridiculous. And this is the guy who says the state should be able to have it. We're in a state where in six weeks, you don't even know whether you're pregnant or not, but you cannot see a doctor and him decide on what your circumstances are, whether you need help.
• 49:21
The idea that states are able to do this is a little like saying we're going to turn civil rights back to the states, that each state have a different rule. Look, there's so many young women who have been including a young woman who just was murdered, and he went to the funeral. And the idea that she was murdered by an immigrant coming in, they talk about that. But here's the deal, there's a lot of young women being raped by their in laws, by by their spouses, brothers and sisters, by or just it's just just ridiculous. And they can do nothing about it.
• 49:56
And they try to arrest them when they cross state lines.
• 49:58
  Speaker 7: Thank you.
• 50:00
Speaker 4: There have been many young women murdered by the same people he allows to come across our border. We have a border that's the most dangerous place anywhere in the world, considered the most dangerous place anywhere in the world. And he opened it up, and these killers are coming into our country. And they are raping and killing women. And it's a terrible thing.
• 50:20
As far as the abortion is concerned, it is now back with the states. The states are voting. In many cases, the it's frankly a very liberal decision. In many cases, it's the opposite. But they're voting and it's bringing it back to the vote of the people, which is what everybody wanted, including the founders if they knew about this issue, which frankly they didn't.
• 50:39
But they would have everybody wanted brought back. Ronald Reagan wanted it brought back. He wasn't able to get it. Everybody wanted it brought back and many presidents had tried to get it back. I was the one to do it.
• 50:51
And again, this gives it the vote of the people and that's where they wanted it. Every legal scholar wanted it that way.
• 50:58
Speaker 7: Staying on the topic of abortion, President Biden, seven states I'll let you do that. This is the same topic. Seven states have no legal restrictions on how far into a pregnancy a woman can obtain an abortion. Do you support any legal limits on how late a woman should be able to terminate a pregnancy?
• 51:17
Speaker 3: I support Roe v. Wade, which had three trimesters. The first time is between the woman and the doctor. Second time is between the doctor and an extreme situation. The third time is between the doctor I mean, between the woman and the state.
• 51:33
The idea that the politicians that the founders wanted the politicians to be the ones making decisions about women's health ridiculous. That's the last no politician should be making that decision. A doctor should be making those decisions. That's how it should be run. That's what you're gonna do.
• 51:48
And if I'm elected, I'm gonna restore Roe v Wade.
• 51:51
Speaker 4: So that means He can take the life of the baby in the ninth month and even after birth because some states, democrat run, take it after birth. Again, the governor, former governor of Virginia, put the baby down, then we decide what to do with it. So he's in he's willing to, as we say, rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month and kill the baby. Nobody wants that to happen, democrat or republican. Nobody wants it to happen.
• 52:17
Speaker 3: You're lying. That is simply not true. The Roe v. Wade does not provide for that. That's not the circumstance.
• 52:24
Only a woman's life is in danger. She's gonna die. That's the only circumstance in which that can happen. But we are not for late term abortion, period. Period.
• 52:32
  Period.
• 52:33
Speaker 4: Under Roe v Wade, you have late term abortion. You can do whatever you depending on the state. You can do whatever you want. We don't think that's a good thing. We think it's a radical thing.
• 52:43
We think the Democrats are the radicals, not the Republicans.
• 52:46
Speaker 3: For fifty one years, that was the law. Fifty one years, constitutional scholarship said it was the right way to go. Fifty one years, and it was taken away because this guy put very conservative members on the Supreme Court. He takes credit for taking it away. What's he gonna do?
• 53:00
What's he gonna do, in fact, if the if the Magna Republicans, he gets elected and the Magna Republicans control the congress and they pass on universal ban on abortion period across the board at six weeks or seven or eight or ten weeks, something very, very conservative. If you're gonna sign that bill, I'll veto it. He'll sign it.
• 53:19
Speaker 5: Thank you. Let's turn now to the issue of immigration and border security. President Biden, a record number of migrants have illegally crossed the southern border on your watch. Overwhelming border states and overburdening cities such as New York and Chicago, and in some cases causing real safety and security concerns. Given that, why should voters trust you to solve this crisis?
• 53:39
Speaker 3: Because we worked very hard to get a bipartisan agreement that not only changed all of that, made sure that we are in a situation where you had no circumstance where they could come across the border with the number of border police there are now. We significantly increased the number of asylum officers, significantly by the way, the border patrol endorsed me, endorsed my position. In addition to that, we found ourselves in a situation where when he was president, he was taking separating babies from their mothers, putting them in cages, making sure they were the families were separated. That's not the right way to go. What I've done since I've changed the law, what's happened, I've changed it in a way that now you're in a situation where there are 40% fewer people coming across the border illegally, it's better than when he left office.
• 54:27
And I'm going to continue to move until we get the total ban on the the the the total initiative relative to what we're do with more border patrol and more asylum officers.
• 54:38
  Speaker 5: President Trump?
• 54:39
Speaker 4: I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said either. Look, we had safest border in the history of our country. The board all he had to do is leave it. All he had to do is leave it.
• 54:50
He decided to open up our border, open up our country to people that are from prisons, people are from mental institutions, insane asylum, terrorists. We have the largest number of terrorists coming into our country right now. All terrorists all over the world, not just in South America. All over the world, they come from the Middle East everywhere. All over the world, they're pouring in.
• 55:13
And this guy just left it open. And he didn't need legislation because I didn't have legislation. I said close the border. We had the safest border in history. In that final couple of months of my presidency, we had, according to border patrol, who is great, and by the way, who endorsed me for president, but I won't say that, but they endorsed me for president.
• 55:32
Brandon, just speak to him. But, look, we had the safest border in history. Now we have the worst border in history. There's never been anything like it, and people are dying all over the place, including the
• 55:42
  Speaker 5: people
• 55:43
  Speaker 4: that
• 55:43
Speaker 5: are coming up in President Trump. President Biden?
• 55:46
Speaker 3: The only terrorist who's done anything crossing the border is one who came along and killed three and his administration killed an Al Qaeda person coming in and his administration killed three American soldiers killed three American soldiers. That's the only terrorist that's there. I'm not saying that no terrorist ever got through with the idea they're emptying their prisons. We're we're welcoming these people. That's simply not true.
• 56:10
There's no data to support what he said. Once again, he's exaggerating. He's lying.
• 56:15
Speaker 5: President Trump, staying on the topic of immigration, you've said that you're gonna carry out, quote, the largest domestic deportation operation in American history, unquote. Does that mean that you will deport every undocumented immigrant in America, including those who have jobs, including those whose spouses are citizens, and including those who have lived here for decades? And if so, how will you do it?
• 56:36
Speaker 4: Just one second. He said we killed three people. The people we killed are al Baghdadi and Soleimani, the two greatest terrorists, biggest terrorists anywhere in the world. And it had a huge impact on everything, not just border, on everything. He's the one that kill people with the bad water, including hundreds of thousands of people dying and also killing our citizens when they come in.
• 57:00
We we are living right now in a rat's nest. They're killing our people in New York, in California, in every state in the union because we don't have borders anymore. Every state is now a border. And because of his ridiculous, insane, and very stupid policies, people are coming in and they're killing our citizens at a level that we've never we call it migrant crime. I call it Biden migrant crime.
• 57:25
They're killing our citizens at a level that we've never seen before. And you're reading it like these three incredible young girls over the last few days. One of them, I just spoke to the mother, and they just had the funeral for this girl, 12 years old. This is horrible what's taken place. What's taken place in our country we're literally an uncivilized country now.
• 57:47
He doesn't want it to be. He just doesn't know. He opened the borders. Nobody's ever seen anything like. And we have to get a lot of these people out or we have to get them out fast because they're gonna destroy our country.
• 57:58
Just take a look at where they're living. They're living in luxury hotels in New York City and other places. Our veterans are on the street. They're dying because he doesn't care about our veterans. He doesn't care.
• 58:08
He doesn't like the military at all, and he doesn't care about our veterans. Nobody been worse. I had the highest approval rating for veterans taking care of the VA. He has the worst. He's gotten rid of all the things that I approved.
• 58:20
Choice that I got through congress. All of the different things I approved, they abandoned. We had by far the highest and now it's down in less than half because he's done all these great things that we did. And I think he did it just because I approved it, which is crazy. But he has killed so many people at our border by allowing all of these people to come in.
• 58:40
  Speaker 5: It's very
• 58:41
Speaker 4: sad day in America.
• 58:42
Speaker 5: President Biden, you have the mic.
• 58:43
Speaker 3: Every single thing he said is a lie. Every single one. For example, veterans are a hell of a lot better off since I passed the PACT Act. 1,000,000 of them now have insurance and their families have it. Their families have it because what happened, whether it was Agent Orange
• 58:58
Speaker 2: That's all going back out.
• 58:58
Speaker 3: Burn pits, they're all being covered now. And he opposed his group opposed that. We're also in a situation where we have great respect for veterans. My son spent a year in Iraq living next to one of those burn pits, came back with stage four glioblastoma. I was recently in France for D Day and I spoke to all about those heroes that died.
• 59:20
I went to the World War II cemetery, World War I cemetery he refused to go to. He was standing with his four star general and he told me, he said, I don't want to go in there because they're a bunch of losers and suckers. My son was not a loser. He was not a sucker. You're the sucker.
• 59:34
  You're the loser.
• 59:35
  Speaker 5: President Trump?
• 59:37
Speaker 4: First of all, that was made up quote, suckers and losers. They made it up. It was in the third rate magazine that's failing like many of these magazines. He made that up. He put it in commercials.
• 59:47
We've notified them. We had 19 people that said I didn't say it. And think of this, who would say, I'm at a cemetery or I'm talking about our veterans? Because nobody's taken better care. I'm so glad this came up and he brought it up.
• 1:00:00
There's nobody that's taken better care of our soldiers than I have. To think that I would, in front of generals and others, say suckers and losers. We have 19 people that said it was never said by me. It was made up by him. Just like Russia, Russia, Russia was made up.
• 1:00:16
Just like the 51 intelligence agents are made up. Just like the new thing with the 16 economists are talking, it's the same thing. 51 intelligence agents said that the laptop was Russia disinformation. It wasn't. That came from his son, Hunter.
• 1:00:33
It wasn't Russia disinformation. He made up the suckers and losers, so he should apologize to me right now.
• 1:00:39
Speaker 3: Four star general standing at your side who was on your staff who said you said it, period. That's number one. And number two, the idea the idea that I have to apologize to you for anything along the line. We've done more for veterans than any president has in American history, American history. And they now are in their family.
• 1:00:58
The only sacred obligation we have as a country is to care for our veterans when they come home and their families and equip them when they go to war. That's what we're doing. That's what the VA is doing now. They're doing more for veterans than ever before in our history.
• 1:01:11
Speaker 5: Alright. Thank you so much.
• 1:01:12
Speaker 7: Let's move to the topic of foreign policy. I do
• 1:01:22
  We're
• 1:01:34
  do
• 1:01:18
  Seth Holehouse: to
• 1:01:30
Speaker 7: claimed and Ukraine abandons its bid to join NATO. Are Putin's terms acceptable to you?
• 1:01:37
Speaker 4: First of all, our veterans and our soldiers can't stand this guy. They can't stand him. They think he's the worst commander in chief, if that's what you call him, that we've ever had. They can't stand him. So let's get that straight.
• 1:01:51
And they like me more than just about any of them, and that's based on every single bit of information. As far as Russia and Ukraine, if we had a real president, the president that knew that was respected by Putin, he would have never he would have never invaded Ukraine. A lot of people are dead right now, much more than people know. You know, they talk about numbers. You can double those numbers, maybe triple those numbers.
• 1:02:15
He did nothing to stop it. In fact, I think he encouraged Russia from going in. I'll tell you what happened. He was so bad with Afghanistan. It was such a horrible embarrassment, most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, that when Putin watched that and he saw the incompetence that he should he should have fired those generals like I fired the one that you mentioned.
• 1:02:34
And so he's got no love lost, but he should have fired those generals. No general got fired for the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, Afghanistan, where we left billions of dollars of equipment behind. We lost 13 beautiful soldiers, and 38 soldiers were obliterated. And by the way, we left people behind too. We left American citizens behind.
• 1:02:55
When Putin saw that, he said, you know what? I think we're gonna go in and maybe take my this was his dream. I talked to him about it, his dream. The difference is he never would have invaded Ukraine. Never.
• 1:03:08
Just like Israel would have never been invaded in a million years by Hamas. You know why? Because Iran was broke with me. I wouldn't let anybody do business with them. They ran out of money.
• 1:03:21
They were broke. They had no money for Hamas. They had no money for anything. No money for terror. That's why you had no terror at all during my administration.
• 1:03:29
This place, the whole world is blowing up under
• 1:03:32
  Speaker 7: him. President Biden?
• 1:03:35
Speaker 3: I've never heard so much malarkey in my whole life. Look, the fact of the matter is that we're in a situation where let's take the last point first. Iran attacked American troops, killed caused brain damage for a number of these troops, and he did nothing about it. Not when he was president. Here, they attacked.
• 1:03:52
He said they're just having headaches. That's all it is. We didn't do a thing when the attack took place, number one. Number two, we got over a hundred thousand Americans and others out of of Afghanistan during that airlift. Number three, we found ourselves in a situation where if you take a look at what Trump did in Ukraine, he's this guy told Ukraine told Trump, do whatever you want and do whatever you want.
• 1:04:20
And that's exactly what Trump did to Putin, encourage him. Do whatever you want. And he went in. And listen to what he said when he went in. He was gonna take Kyiv in five days.
• 1:04:29
Remember? Because it's part of the old Soviet Union. That's what he wanted to reestablish, reestablish, Kyiv. And he, in fact, didn't do it at all. He didn't wasn't able to get it done.
• 1:04:38
And they've lost over they've lost thousands and thousands of troops, 500,000
• 1:04:42
  Speaker 4: Thank you.
• 1:04:44
  Speaker 7: President Trump I
• 1:04:45
  Speaker 4: never said that.
• 1:04:46
Speaker 7: For one minute, I just wanna go back to my original question, which is, are Putin's terms acceptable to you? Keeping the territory in
• 1:04:53
Speaker 4: They're acceptable. But look, this is a war that never should have started. If we had a leader in this war, he led everybody along. He's given $200,000,000,000 now or more to Ukraine. He's given $200,000,000,000.
• 1:05:08
That's a lot of money. I don't think there's ever been anything like it. Every time that Zelensky comes to country, he walks away with $60,000,000,000. He's the greatest salesman ever. And I'm not knocking him.
• 1:05:19
I'm not knocking anything. I'm only saying he the money that we're spending on this war, and we shouldn't be spending it should have never happened. I will have that war settled between Putin and Zelensky as president-elect before I take office on January 20. I'll have that war settled. People being killed so needlessly, so stupidly, I will get it settled, and I'll get it settled fast before I take office.
• 1:05:46
Speaker 7: And you won. You haven't had it.
• 1:05:48
Speaker 3: The fact is that Putin is a war criminal. He's killed thousands and thousands of people, and he has made one thing clear. He wants to reestablish what was part of the Soviet empire, not just a peace. He wants all of Ukraine. That's what he wants.
• 1:06:04
And then you think he'll stop there? Do you think he'll stop when he if he if he takes Ukraine? What do you think happens to Poland? What do you think of Belarus? What do you think happens to those NATO countries?
• 1:06:14
And so if you want a war, you ought to find out what he's gonna do because if in fact he does what he says and walks away by the way, all that money we give Ukraine and from weapons we make here in The United States, we give them the weapons, not the money at this point. And then our NATO allies have produced as much funding for Ukraine as we have. That's why it's that's why we're strong.
• 1:06:38
Speaker 7: Thank you. Moving on to the Middle East. In October, Hamas attacked Israel, killing more than a thousand people and taking hundreds of hostages. Among those held and thought to still be alive are five Americans. Israel's response has killed thousands of Palestinians and created a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
• 1:06:58
President Biden, you've put forward a proposal to resolve this conflict. But so far, Hamas has not released the remaining hostages, and Israel is continuing its military offensive in Gaza. So, what additional leverage will you use to get Hamas and Israel to end the war? You have two minutes.
• 1:07:18
Speaker 3: Number one, everyone from the United Nations Security Council straight through the G7 to the Israelis and Netanyahu himself have endorsed the plan they put forward, endorsed the plan they put forward, which has three stages to it. The first stage is trade the hostages for a ceasefire. Second phase is a ceasefire with additional conditions. The third phase is know the end of the war. The only one who wants the war to continue is Hamas, number one.
• 1:07:48
They're the only ones standing out. We're still pushing hard from to get them to accept. In the meantime, what's happened? In Israel, we're finding said the only thing I've denied Israel was 2,000 pound bombs. They don't work very well in populated areas.
• 1:08:03
They kill a lot of innocent people. We're providing Israel with all the weapons they need and when they need them. And by the way, I'm the guy that organized the world against Iran when they had a full blown intercontinental ballistic ballistic missile attack on Israel. No one was hurt. No one Israeli was accidentally killed and it stopped.
• 1:08:23
We saved Israel. We are the biggest producer of support for Israel of anyone in the world. And so that's there there are two different things. Hamas cannot be allowed to be continued. We continue to send our experts and our intelligence people as to how they can get Hamas like we did in Ben Laden.
• 1:08:41
You don't have to do it. And by the way, they've been greatly weakened Hamas, greatly weakened and they should be. They should be eliminated. But you've got to be careful for what using certain weapons among population centers.
• 1:08:56
Speaker 4: Just going back to Ukraine for one second. We have an ocean separating us. The European nations together have spent a hundred billion or maybe more than that, less than us. Why doesn't he call them, say you gotta put up your money like I did with NATO? I got them to put up hundreds of billions of dollars.
• 1:09:14
The secretary general of NATO said Trump did the most incredible job I've ever seen. You wouldn't they wouldn't have any. They were going out of business. We were spending almost a % of the money was it was paid by us. He didn't do that.
• 1:09:27
He's getting all you gotta ask these people to put up the money. We're over a hundred billion dollars more spent, and it has a bigger impact on them because of location, because we have an ocean in between. You gotta ask them. As far as Israel and and Hamas, Israel is the one that wants to go. He said the only one who wants to keep going is Hamas.
• 1:09:47
Actually, Israel is the one. And you should let him go and let him finish the job. He doesn't wanna do it. He's become like Palestinian, but they don't like him because he's a very bad Palestinian. He's a weak one.
• 1:09:58
Speaker 7: President Biden, do you have a minute?
• 1:10:00
Speaker 3: I've never heard so much foolishness. This is a guy who wants to get out of NATO. Are you gonna stay in NATO? He's gonna pull out of NATO? The idea that we have our strength lies in our alliances as well.
• 1:10:11
It may be a big ocean, but we're ever able to avoid a war in in Europe, a major war in Europe. What happens if, in fact, you have Putin continue to go into into NATO? We have an article five agreement. Attack on one is attack on all. You wanna start the nuclear war he keeps talking about?
• 1:10:27
Go ahead. Let Putin go in and control Ukraine and then move on to Poland and other places. Let's just see what happens then. He has no idea what the hell he's talking about. And by the way, got 50 other nations around the world to support Ukraine, including Japan and South Korea because they understand that this was this this kind of dislocation has a serious threat to the whole world peace.
• 1:10:50
No no major war in Europe has ever been able to be contained just to Europe.
• 1:10:55
Speaker 7: President Trump, just a follow-up. Would you support the creation of independent Palestinian state in order to achieve peace in the region?
• 1:11:02
Speaker 4: I'd have to see. But before we do that, the problem we have is that we spend all the money. So they kill us on trade. I made great trade deals with the European nations. Because if you add them up, they're about the same size economically.
• 1:11:16
Their economy is about the same size as The United States. And they were no cars. No. They don't want anything that we have. But we're supposed to take their cars, their food, their everything, their agriculture.
• 1:11:27
I changed that. But the big thing I changed is they don't wanna pay. And the only reason that he can play games with NATO is because I got them to put up hundreds of billions of dollars. I said, and he's right about this, I said, no. I'm not gonna support NATO if you don't pay.
• 1:11:44
They asked me that question. Would you guard us against Russia at a very secret meeting of the 28, states at that time, nations at that time? And I said, no. If you don't pay, I won't do that. And you know what happened?
• 1:11:57
Billions and billions of dollars came flowing in the next day and the next months. But now we're in the same position. We're paying everybody's bills.
• 1:12:05
Speaker 5: Let's turn to the issue of democracy. Former president Trump, I wanna ask you about 01/06/2021. After you rallied your supporters that day, some of them stormed the capital to stop the constitutionally mandated counting of electoral votes. As president, you swore an oath to, quote, preserve, protect, and defend, unquote, the constitution. What do you say to voters who believe that you violated that oath through your actions and inaction on January 6 and worry that you'll do it again?
• 1:12:32
Speaker 4: Well, I don't think too many believe that. And let me tell about January 6. On January 6, we had a great border. Nobody coming through. Very few.
• 1:12:42
On January 6, we were energy independent. On January 6, we had the lowest taxes ever. We had regulations ever. On January 6, we were respected all over the world. All over the world, we were respected.
• 1:12:54
And then he comes in, and we're now left at. We're like a bunch of stupid people. The what happened to The United States' reputation under this man's leadership is horrible, including weaponization, which I'm sure at some point you'll be talking about, where he goes after his political opponent because he can't beat them fair and square.
• 1:13:13
Speaker 5: You have eighty seconds left. My question was, what do you say to those voters who believe that you violated your constitutional oath through your actions and inaction on 01/06/2021 and worry that you'll do it again?
• 1:13:25
Speaker 4: Well, I didn't say that to anybody. I said peacefully and patriotically. And Nancy Pelosi, if you just watched the news from two days ago, on tape to her daughter, who's a documentary filmmaker, they say. But she's saying, oh, no. It's my responsibility.
• 1:13:42
I was responsible for this because I offered her 10,000 soldiers or National Guard, and she turned them down. And the mayor of in writing, by the way, the mayor in writing turned it down, the mayor of of DC. They turned it down. I offered 10 because I could see. I had virtually nothing to do.
• 1:14:01
They asked me to go make a speech. I could see what was happening. Everybody was saying they're gonna be there on January 6. They're gonna be there. And I said, you know what?
• 1:14:08
There's a lot of people coming. You could feel it. You could feel it too, and you could feel it. And I said, they ought to have some national guard or whatever. And I offered it to her, and she now admits that she turned it down.
• 1:14:20
And it was the same day she was I don't know. He can't be very happy with her daughter because it made her into a liar. She said, I take full responsibility for January 6.
• 1:14:31
  Speaker 5: President Biden?
• 1:14:33
Speaker 3: Look. He encouraged those folks who were up at Capitol Hill, Number 1. I sat in the dining room off the Oval Office. He sat there for three hours, three hours watching, begging, being begged by his vice president and a number of his colleagues in republican side as well to do something, to call for a stop, to end it. Instead, he talked they've talked about these people being patriots and and and great patrons of America.
• 1:14:58
In fact, he says he'll not forgive them for what they've done. They've been convicted. He says he wants to commute their sentences and say that no. He went to every single court in the nation. I don't know how many cases, scores of cases, including the Supreme Court.
• 1:15:15
And they said they said, no, no. This guy this guy is responsible for doing what is being was done. He did do a damn thing, and these people should be in jail, and they should be in Windsor being held accountable. And he wants to let them all out. And now he says if he loses again, such a whiner that he is, that it could be a bloodbath.
• 1:15:35
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Biden. President Trump?
• 1:15:38
Speaker 4: What they've done to some people that are so innocent, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. What you have done, how you've destroyed the lives of so many people when they ripped down Portland, when they ripped down many other cities. You go to Minnesota, Minneapolis. What they've done there with the fires all over the city. If I didn't bring in the National Guard, that city would 've been destroyed.
• 1:16:01
When you look at all of the they took over big chunks of Seattle. I was all set to bring in the National Guard. They heard that. They saw them coming, and they left immediately. What he said about this whole subject is so off, peacefully patriotic.
• 1:16:16
One other thing, the unselect committee, which is basically two horrible Republicans that are all gone now and out of office and Democrats, all Democrats, they destroyed and deleted all of the information they found because they found out we were right. We were right. And they deleted and destroyed all of the information. They should go to jail for that. If a Republican did that, they'd go to jail.
• 1:16:40
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. President Biden, I wanna give you a minute.
• 1:16:42
Speaker 3: The only person in this stage is a convicted felon is the man I'm looking at right now. And the fact of the matter is he isn't he's what he's telling you is simply not true. The fact is that there was no effort on his part to stop what was going on up on Capitol Hill. And all those people, every one of those who were convicted deserves to be convicted. The idea that they didn't kill somebody, just went in and broke down doors, broke the windows, occupied offices, turned over desks, turned them over statues.
• 1:17:13
The idea that those people are patriots, come on. When I asked him about the first two debates we had and debates we had the first time around, I said, will you denounce the Proud Boy? He said, no. I'll tell them to stand by. The idea he's refusing to will you denounce these guys?
• 1:17:31
Will you denounce the people we're talking about now? Will you denounce the people who attacked that Capitol? What are you gonna do?
• 1:17:39
Speaker 5: I'm gonna give you a minute, President Trump, for a follow-up question I have. After a jury convicted you of 34 felonies last month, you said if reelected, you would, quote, have every right to go after, unquote, your political opponents. You just talked about members of the Select Committee on January 6 going to jail. Your main political opponent is standing on stage with you tonight. Can you clarify exactly what it means about you feeling you have every right to go after your political opponents?
• 1:18:06
Speaker 4: Well, I said my retribution is going to be success. We're gonna make this country successful again because right now it's a failing nation. My retribution is going to be success. But when he talks about a convicted felon, his son is a convicted felon at a very high level. His son is convicted.
• 1:18:21
Gonna be convicted probably numerous other times. Should have been convicted before, but his justice department let the statute of limitations lapse on the most important things. But he could be a convicted felon as soon as he gets out of office. Joe could be a convicted felon with all of the things that he's done. He's done horrible things.
• 1:18:38
All of the death caused at the the border, telling the Ukrainian people that we're gonna want a billion dollars. You could change the prosecutor. Otherwise, you're getting a billion dollars. If I ever said that, that's quid pro quo. That we're not gonna do anything.
• 1:18:53
We're not gonna give you a billion dollars unless you change your prosecutor having to do with his son. This man is a criminal. This man you're lucky. You're lucky. I did nothing wrong.
• 1:19:03
We'd have a system that was rigged and disgusting. I did nothing wrong.
• 1:19:06
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. President Biden, you have said I'm coming right to you, sir. You well, you wanna respond? Go ahead. I'll give you a minute to respond.
• 1:19:14
Speaker 3: The idea that I did anything wrong relative to what you're talking about is outrageous. It's simply a lie, number one. Number two, the idea that you have a right to seek retribution against any American just because you're president is wrong. It's simply wrong. No president has ever spoken like that before.
• 1:19:32
No president in our history has spoken like that before. Number three, the crimes that you are still charged with. And think of all the civil penalties you have. How many billions of dollars do you owe in civil penalties for for molesting a woman in public, for doing a whole range of things, of having sex with a porn star on the night while your wife was pregnant? I mean, what what are you talking about?
• 1:19:55
You you have the morals of an alley cat.
• 1:19:58
Speaker 5: Do have man, sir?
• 1:19:59
Speaker 4: I didn't have sex with a porn star, number one. Number two, that was a case that was started and moved. They moved a high ranking official, a DOJ, into the Manhattan DA's office to start that case. That case is gonna be appealed and won. We had a very, terrible judge, a horrible judge, Democrat.
• 1:20:19
The prosecutor were all high ranking Democrats, appointed people, and the both the civil and criminal. He basically went after his political opponent because he thought it was gonna damage me. But when the public found out about these cases because they understand it better than he does. He has no idea what these cases are. But what he when they found out about these cases you know what they did?
• 1:20:40
My poll numbers went up way up. You know that because you're reporting it. And we took in more money in the last two weeks than we've ever taken in in the history of of any campaign. I don't think any campaign has ever taken hundreds of millions of dollars came pouring in because the public knows it's a scam and it's a guy that's after his political opponent because he can't win fair and square.
• 1:21:01
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. President Biden, you have said, quote, Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans are determined to destroy American democracy. Do you believe that the tens of millions of Americans who are likely to vote for president Trump will be voting against American democracy?
• 1:21:17
Speaker 3: The more they know about what he's done, yes, the more they know about what he's done. And there's a lot more coming. He's got a lot of cases down the road coming around. He's got he's got a whole range of issues he has to face. I don't know what the juries will do, but I do I do know he has a real problem.
• 1:21:34
And so the fact that could you ever think you're hearing any president say that I'm going to seek retribution? Did you ever hear any president say that I thought Hitler had some good ideas? What got me involved to run-in the first place after my son had died, I decided in Iraq because of Iraq. I said I wasn't going to run again until I saw what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia. People coming out of the woods carrying swastikas on torches and seeing the same antisemitic bile they sang back in Germany.
• 1:22:04
And what did and the young woman got killed. I spoke to the mother. And she they asked him. They said, what what do you think of those people? The people who the ones who got killed, the one who tried
• 1:22:13
  Seth Holehouse: to stop and
• 1:22:14
Speaker 3: the one who said, I think they're fine people on both sides. What American president would ever say Nazis coming out of fields carrying torches, singing the same manisemitic bile, carrying swastikas were fine people. This is a guy who says Hitler's done some good things. I'd like to know what they are. The good things Hitler's done, that's what he said.
• 1:22:36
This guy has no sense of American democracy.
• 1:22:39
  Speaker 5: President Trump.
• 1:22:40
Speaker 4: Jake, both of you know that story has been totally wiped out because when you see the sentence, it said a % exoneration on this. So he just keeps it going. He says he ran because of Charlotte's he didn't run because of Charlotte's vote. He ran because it was his last chance. It it he's not equipped to be president.
• 1:22:58
You know it and I know it. It's ridiculous. We have a debate. We're trying to justify his presidency. His presidency is he's, without question, the worst president, the worst presidency in the history of our country.
• 1:23:10
We shouldn't be having a debate about it. There's nothing to debate. He made up the Charlottesville story, and you'll see it's debunked all over the place. Every anchor has every reasonable anchor has debunked it. And just the other day, it came out where it was fully debunked.
• 1:23:26
It's a nonsense story. He knows that. And he didn't run because of Charlottesville. He used that as an excuse to run.
• 1:23:33
  Speaker 5: President Biden?
• 1:23:34
Speaker 3: And debunked. It happened. All you have to do is listen to what was said at the time and the idea that somehow that's the only reason I ran. I ran because I was worried a guy like this guy could get elected. If he thought they were good people coming out of that all that forest, carrying those those woods, carrying those torches, then he didn't deserve to be president.
• 1:23:53
Didn't deserve to be president at all. And the idea that he's talking about all this being fabricated, we saw with our own eyes. We saw what happened on January 6. We saw the people breaking through the windows. We saw people occupying their his own vice president.
• 1:24:07
Look. There's a reason why 40 of his 44 top cabinet officers refused to endorse him this time. His vice president hasn't endorsed him this time. So why? Why?
• 1:24:18
They know him well. They serve with him. Why are they not endorsing him?
• 1:24:21
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Biden. We're gonna be right back with more from the CNN presidential debate.
• 1:24:31
Seth Holehouse: Alright, Chris. Hit it. What do you think so far?
• 1:24:36
Speaker 2: Well, I think president Trump started off the night being very presidential. You know, I think he couldn't really help himself. He had to get some shots in there here and there. I will say, though, I I do I I am a little surprised by CNN. CNN is actually, being the CNN of 2,000.
• 1:24:51
They're actually being surprisingly fair. I'd I'd I I did some numbers here. They muted Trump once, and they have muted Biden three times. So that, so I will say they are being as fair as, you know, within reason that they possibly can be. I also have, tally that, Biden has had nine senior moments, where he is stumbling.
• 1:25:10
He's he's speeding through the conversation or his statement where it's very hard to understand him, his voice. I'm following Frank Lunce right now too on, on Twitter, and he's going through a lot of focus groups. And they're they're they're saying that his voice is very raspy and weak and it's it's a little off putting. You know, but basically, the the census is, you know, Trump is is is coming off strong, but now he's he's pivoted from presidential to a strong voice, strong optics to a little little too much, a little little too aggressive.
• 1:25:39
Seth Holehouse: It's so the handful of the a handful of things that I find interesting. One, you can see that there's some very obvious mistakes with numbers when it comes to Biden. Like, he comes out from the very beginning. You know, I've had a 15,000 jobs. And then when he said there was a thousand trillionaires in America.
• 1:25:57
Right? Now he's correcting himself, kinda, on some of these, but it it shows. Like, I I think that for somebody that is, let's just say, an objective, say they're centrist, and and they don't have a strong opinion on either a candidate. If they were to watch this and they're watching Biden, it would be hard to leave this and not think this guy's too old for office. Like, you know, you're you're seeing the the signs of, you know, like, your your older grandparent that comes and and you know that, okay, hey, they're they're slipping a little bit and, you know, you're you're guiding them and you're helping them and make sure they got their food with them in the buffet for Thanksgiving.
• 1:26:39
He he really has that vibe to him. Now sometimes he's he's sharp, and he's remembering his, you know, his recollection in in some areas is sharp where he's recalling information and facts and everything, but it it really is overshadowed. But also, to me, it's also him. You have all these different scenes where he's just kinda like this. And you can see that they're they're they're changing the camera when that happens, but he's just staring off.
• 1:27:07
Now for Trump, I I think that so I think overall, he's done a good job. I think that he's stayed quite composed. You know, when the debate when the debate gets down into this area of, well, here's why, you know, like, you know, I did this and I did this, and and you're lying. No. You're lying.
• 1:27:27
  No. You're lying. No. You're lying. It's it's tricky.
• 1:27:30
Right? I do what you what you see though with Biden is anytime that Trump attacks him, you know, Biden's typical response is he's lying. I've never heard so much malarkey before. He's lying. He's lying.
• 1:27:42
He's lying. Right? Which is that's, like, his default response to almost anything that Trump is saying. But what I think that Trump has done a good job with though is capturing the American sentiment Mhmm. In terms of how the average American feels right now.
• 1:28:01
Because they started off with economy. Right? For one, you know, them saying that that, you know, the hundred dollar grocery bill is now a hundred and 20, that's completely bogus. It's coming back on real quick, and we'll we'll switch back over to it. But it's like, there there there's just that that's completely, completely bogus.
• 1:28:20
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:28:21
Seth Holehouse: It's like, you know, a hundred bucks, you know, three years ago is now $300. Yeah.
• 1:28:24
  Speaker 2: People
• 1:28:25
Seth Holehouse: know it. And so I think Trump's done a good job of actually of speaking to the Americans that feel what the country's like. So okay.
• 1:28:32
Speaker 2: And I oh, go ahead.
• 1:28:34
Seth Holehouse: I was just gonna that they're they're back on now. So we'll switch it back on, and we'll continue.
• 1:28:39
Speaker 7: And black Americans are imprisoned at five times the rate of white Americans. What do you say to black voters who are disappointed that you haven't made more progress?
• 1:28:49
Speaker 3: They acknowledge they made a lot of progress, number one. The fact of the matter is there are more small black businesses that have been started at any time in history. Number two, the wages of black unemployment is the lowest level of spend in a long, long time. Number three, we're finding housing for black Americans and dealing with segregation that exists among these corporate rations that collude to keep people out of their houses. And in addition to that, we find that the impact of on the the choice that black families have to make relative to childcare is incredibly difficult.
• 1:29:33
When we did the first major piece of legislation in the past, I was able to reduce black childcare costs or cut them in half in half. We're gonna make sure we provide for childcare costs. We're gonna sure because when you provide those childcare protections, you increase economic growth because more people can be in the job market. So, there's more to be done, considerably more to be done. But we've done a great deal so far and I'm not letting up and they know it.
• 1:30:01
Speaker 7: You have forty nine seconds left. What do you say to black voters who are disappointed with the progress so far?
• 1:30:08
Speaker 3: I say I don't blame them for being disappointed. Inflation is still hurting them badly. For example, I provided for the idea that any black family first time homebuyer should get a $10,000 tax credit to be able to buy their first home so they can get started. I made sure that we're in a situation where all those black families and black individuals who provided had to take out student loans that were ballooning, that if they were engaged in nursing, doc and anything having to do with volunteerism, if they paid their bills for ten years and their student debt, all the rest is forgiven after ten years. Millions have benefited from that, and we're gonna do a whole lot more for black families.
• 1:30:51
Speaker 7: Thank you. President Trump?
• 1:30:53
Speaker 4: And he caused the inflation. He's blaming inflation, and he's right. It's been very bad. He caused the inflation, and it's killing black families and Hispanic families and just about everybody. It's killing people.
• 1:31:05
They can't buy groceries anymore. They can't you look at the cost of food where it's doubled and tripled and quadrupled. They can't live. They're not living anymore. He caused this inflation.
• 1:31:17
I gave him a country with no essentially no inflation. It was perfect. It was so good. All he had to do is leave it alone. He destroyed it with his Green New scam and all of the other all this money that's being thrown out the window.
• 1:31:30
He caused inflation. As sure as you're sitting there, the fact is that his big kill on the black people is the millions of people that he's allowed to come in through the border. They're taking black jobs now, and it could be 18, it could be 19, and even 20,000,000 people. They're taking black jobs, and they're taking Hispanic jobs. And you haven't seen it yet, but you're gonna see something that's gonna be the worst in our history.
• 1:31:56
Speaker 7: Thank you. President Biden?
• 1:31:58
Speaker 3: There was no inflation when I became president. You know why? The economy was flat on its back. 15% unemployment. He decimated the economy.
• 1:32:07
Absolutely decimated the economy. That's why there was no inflation at the time. There were no jobs. We provided thousands of millions of jobs for individuals who were involved communities, including minority communities. We made sure that they have health insurance.
• 1:32:21
We have covered the ACA has increased I made sure that there are $8,000 per person in the family to get written off for the health care. But this guy wants to eliminate that. They tried 50 times. He wants to get rid of the ACA again, and they're gonna try again if they win. We find ourselves in a position where the idea that we're not doing any I put more we put more police on the street than any administration has.
• 1:32:47
He wants to cut the cops. We're providing for equity and making sure people have a shot to make it. There's a lot going on, but in inflation, he caused it by his tremendous malphasis in the way he handled the pandemic.
• 1:33:03
Speaker 7: Thank you. Another persistent challenge is the climate crisis. 2023 was the hottest year in recorded history and communities across the country are confronting the devastating effects of extreme heat, intensifying wildfires, stronger hurricanes and rising sea levels. Former president Trump, you've vowed to end your opponent's climate initiatives, but will you take any action as president to slow the climate crisis?
• 1:33:30
Speaker 4: Well, let me just go back to what he said about the police, how close the police are to him. Almost every police group in the nation from every state is supporting Donald j Trump. Almost every police group. And what he's done to the black population is horrible, including the fact that for ten years he called them super predators. We can't in the nineteen nineties, we can't forget that.
• 1:33:52
Super predators was his name, and he called it to him for ten and they've taken great offense at it, and now they see it happening. But when they see what I did for criminal justice reform and for the historically black colleges and universities where I funded them and got them all funded and the opportunity zones with with Tim, as you know, Tim Scott was incredible. He did a great job, great senator from South Carolina. He came to me with the idea and it was a great idea. It's one of the most successful economic development acts ever in the country, opportunity zones.
• 1:34:25
And the biggest beneficiary are blacks. And that's why we have the best numbers with them in maybe ever. They're saying ever. I read this morning where ever, the best numbers. He's lost much of the black population because he's done a horrible job for black people.
• 1:34:42
He's also done a horrible job for Hispanics. But where do you see these millions of people pouring into our country and they're gonna take the jobs and it's already started and you haven't seen anything yet? It's a disaster.
• 1:34:53
Speaker 7: You've thirty eight seconds left. President Trump, will you take any action as president to slow the climate crisis?
• 1:35:01
Speaker 4: So I want absolutely immaculate clean water, and I want absolutely clean air, and we had it. We had h two o. We had the best numbers ever and we did we were using all forms of energy, all forms, everything. And yet, during my four years, I had the best environmental numbers and my top environmental people gave me that statistic just before I walked on the stage, actually.
• 1:35:29
Speaker 3: I don't know where the hell he's been. The idea today that he said is true. I passed the most extensive most extensive climate change legislation in history in history. We find ourselves and by the way, black colleges. I I came up with $50,000,000,000 for HBCUs, historic black universities and colleges, because they don't have the kind of contributors that they have to build these laboratories and the like.
• 1:35:58
Any black student is capable in college of doing what any white student can do. They just have the money, now they'll be able to get those jobs in high-tech. We're in a situation where the idea that he is claiming to have done something that had the cleanest water, the cleanest water, he hadn't done a damn thing with the environment. He out of the Paris Peace Accord commune accord, I immediately joined it because if we reach 1.5 degrees Celsius at any one point where there's no way back. The only existential threat to humanity is climate change, and he didn't do a damn thing about it.
• 1:36:32
He wants to undo all that I've done.
• 1:36:35
Speaker 4: The Paris Accord was gonna cost us a trillion dollars and China nothing and Russia nothing and India nothing. It was a rip off of The United States. And I ended it because I didn't wanna waste that money because they treat us horribly. We were the only ones who was costing us money. Nobody else was paying into it.
• 1:36:53
And it was a it was a disaster. But everything that he said just now I'll give you an example. I heard him say before insulin. I'm the one that got the insulin down for the seniors. I took care of the seniors.
• 1:37:03
What he's doing is destroying all of our medical programs because the migrants coming in, they want everybody and look, I have the I have the biggest heart in the stage. I guarantee you that. And I wanna take care of people, but we're destroying our country. They're taking over our schools, our hospitals, and they're gonna be taking over social security. He is destroying social security, Medicare, and
• 1:37:25
Speaker 3: Medicaid. The Medicaid. Where does that come from? The idea is that we, in fact, we were the only ones of consequence who were not who were not members of of the Paris Accord. How can we do anything if we're not able to The United States can't get this under control?
• 1:37:43
One of the largest polluters in the world, number one. We're making significant progress. By 02/1935, we will have cut pollution in half. We have made significant progress and we're continuing to make progress. We set up a climate core for thousands of young people who will learn how to deal with just like the Peace Corps.
• 1:38:02
And we're moving in directions that are gonna significantly change the elements of cause of pollution. But the idea that he claims that he has the biggest heart up here and he's really concerned about about pollution and about climate, I've not seen any indication of that. And by the way, with regard to prescription drugs, one company agreed that they would reduce the price to $35 which I was calling for voluntarily. I made sure every company in the world, every pharmaceutical company cannot have to pay. And by the way
• 1:38:39
Speaker 5: every day, millions of Americans struggle just to make ends meet. For many older Americans, Social Security provides a critical lifeline. President Biden, if nothing is done to Social Security seniors, will see their benefits cut in just over ten years. Will you name tonight one specific step that you're willing to take to keep Social Security solvent?
• 1:39:00
Speaker 3: Yes. Make the very wealthy begin to pay their fair share. Right now, everybody making under $170,000 pays 6% of their income, of their paycheck every single time they get a paycheck from the time the first one they get when they're 18 years old. The idea that they're going to I'm not I've been proposing that everybody they pay the millionaires percent, 1%. So no one after I would not raise the cost of Social Security for anybody under $400,000 After that, I began to make the wealthy begin to pay their fair share by increasing from 1% beyond to be able to guarantee the program for life.
• 1:39:39
Speaker 5: So you still have eighty two seconds left. Are there any other measures that you think that would be able to help keep Social Security solvent or is that one enough?
• 1:39:46
Speaker 3: Well, that one enough will keep it solvent, But the biggest thing I'll do if we defeat this man because he wants to get rid of Social Security. He thinks there's plenty to cut in Social Security. He's wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare both times. And that's and if you look at the program put forward by the House Republican caucus that he, I believe, supports is in fact want to cut it as well. The idea that we don't need to protect our seniors is ridiculous.
• 1:40:14
We put we and by the way, American public has greater health care coverage today than ever before. And on the ACA, as I said, you're in a circumstance where 400,000 people 400 I mean, 40,000,000 people would not have insurance because they have a preexisting condition. Only thing that allows them to have that insurance is the fact that they, in fact, are part of the ACA. And by the way, the other thing is we're in a situation where I talk about education for black I've raised the number the amount of money for Pell Grants another $8,000. Anybody making under $70,000 a year is gonna be able to get $15,000 towards their tuition.
• 1:40:56
It's I he he just don't know what he's talking about.
• 1:40:58
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Biden. President Trump.
• 1:41:00
Speaker 4: So I've dealt with politicians all my life. I've been on this side of the equation for the last eight years. I've never seen anybody lie like this guy. He lies. I've never seen that he could look you in the face.
• 1:41:13
So I've got so many other things too. And we mentioned the laptop. We mentioned Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine. Everything he does is a lie. It's misinformation and disinformation.
• 1:41:26
The losers and suckers story that he made up is a total lie on the military. It's a disgrace. But Social Security, he's destroying it because millions of people are pouring into our country, and they're putting them onto Social Security. They're putting them onto Medicare, Medicaid. They're putting them in our hospitals.
• 1:41:44
They're taking the place of our citizens there. What they're doing to the VA, to our veterans is unbelievable. Our veterans are living in the street, and these people are living in luxury hotels. He doesn't know what he's doing and it's it's really coming back. I've never seen such anger in our country before.
• 1:42:01
Speaker 3: President Biden? The idea that veterans are not being taken care of, I told you before. And by the way, when I said suckers and losers, he said, he acknowledged after that he fired that general. That general got fired because he's the one who acknowledged that that's what he said. He was the one standing with Trump when he said it, number one.
• 1:42:20
Number two, the idea that we're gonna be in a situation where all these millions and millions, in the way he talks about it, illegal aliens are coming into the country and taking away our jobs. There's a reason why we have the fastest growing economy in the world, the reason why we have the most successful economy in the world. We're doing better than any other nation in the world. And by the way, those 15 Nobel laureates he talked about being phony, those 15 Nobel laureates, economists, they all said that if Trump is reelected, we're elected to have a recession, and and inflation is gonna increasingly go up. And by the way, worst president history, 59 presidential scholars voted him the worst president in the history of The United States Of America.
• 1:43:02
Speaker 5: President Biden, thank you so much. Let's turn to the cost of childcare, which many American families struggle to afford. President Trump, both you and President Biden have tried to address this issue, but the average cost of childcare in this country has risen to more than $11,000 a year per child. For many families, the cost of childcare for two children is more than their rent. In your second term, what would you do to make child care more affordable?
• 1:43:28
Speaker 4: Just to go back, the general got fired because he was no good. And if he said that, that's why he made it up. But we have 19 people that said I didn't say it and they're highly respected, much more so than him. The other thing is he doesn't fire people. He never fired people.
• 1:43:44
I've never seen him fire anybody. I did fire a lot. I fired Comey because he was no good. I fired a lot of the top people at the FBI, drained the swamp. They were no good.
• 1:43:52
Not easy to fire people. You'd pay a price for it, but they were no good. I inherited these people. I didn't put them there. I didn't put Comey there.
• 1:43:58
He was no good. I fired him. This guy hasn't fired anybody. He never fires. He should have fired every man that was involved with that Afghan the Afghanistan, horror show, the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
• 1:44:14
He didn't fire. Did you fire anybody? Did you fire anybody that's on the border that's allowed us to have the worst border in the history of the world? Did anybody get fired for allowing 18,000,000 people, many from prisons, many from from mental institutions? Did you fire anybody that allowed our country to be destroyed?
• 1:44:32
Joe, our country is being destroyed as you and I sit up here and waste a lot of time on this debate. This shouldn't be a debate. He is the worst president. He just said it about me because I said it. But look, he's the worst president in the history of our country.
• 1:44:46
He's destroyed our country. Now all of a sudden, he's trying to get a little tough on the border. He come out came out with a a nothing a nothing deal, and it reduced it a little bit a little bit, like this much. It's insignificant. He wants open borders.
• 1:45:00
He wants our country to either be destroyed or he wants to pick up those people as voters. And I don't think we just can't let it happen. If he wins this election, our country doesn't have a chance, not even a chance, of coming out of this rut. We probably won't have country left anymore. That's how bad it is.
• 1:45:20
He is the worst in history by far.
• 1:45:22
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. President Biden?
• 1:45:24
Speaker 3: We are the most admired country in the world with The United States Of America. There's nothing beyond our capacity. We have the finest military in the history of the world, the finest in the history of the world. No one thinks we're weak. No one wants to screw around with us.
• 1:45:39
Nobody. Number one. Number two, the idea that we're talking about worst presidents. I wasn't joking. Look it up or go online.
• 1:45:47
A 59 or some 58, don't hold me the exact number, presidential historians, they've had meetings and they voted who was the worst president in American history, one from best to worst. They said he was the worst in all of American history. That's a fact. That's not a that's not conjecture. He can argue they're wrong, but that's what they voted.
• 1:46:07
The idea that he is knowing doing anything to deal with childcare. He did very for virtually nothing to childcare. We should significantly increase the childcare tax credit. We should significantly increase the availability of women and men, of single parents, to be able to go back to work. And we should encourage businesses to hold to have Thank you, President Biden.
• 1:46:29
  Smoking.
• 1:46:29
Speaker 5: President Trump, the question was about what would you do to make childcare more affordable, if you want to take your minute.
• 1:46:33
Speaker 4: Just so you understand, we have polling. We have other things that do they rate him the worst because what he's done is so bad. Sure. And they rate me I'll show you. I will show you.
• 1:46:44
And they rate me one of the best. Okay? And if I'm given another four years, I will be the best. I think I'll be the best. Nobody's ever created economy like us.
• 1:46:54
Nobody ever cut taxes like us. He's the only one I know. He wants to raise your taxes by four times. He wants to raise everybody's taxes by four times. He wants the Trump tax cuts to expire so everybody, including the two of you, are gonna pay four to five times.
• 1:47:09
Nobody ever heard of this before. All my life, I'd grow up and I'd see politicians talking about cutting taxes. When we cut taxes, as I said, we did more business. Apple and all these companies, they were bringing money back into our country. The worst president in history by far and everybody knows it.
• 1:47:27
Speaker 3: President Biden? Look, fact of the matter is that he's dead wrong about he's increased the tariff. He's increased he will increase the taxes on middle class people. I said I'd never raise a tax upon anybody making less than $400,000 I didn't. But this tariff is 10% tariffs.
• 1:47:44
Everything coming in the country, you know what the economists say? That's gonna cost the average American two thousand five hundred dollars a year more because they're gonna have to pay the difference in food and all the things that were important. Number two, he's in a situation where he talks about how he has not raised he's he's he's somehow helped the middle class. Middle class has been devastated by you. Now you want a new tax cut of $5,000,000,000,000 over the next ten years, which is gonna fundamentally bankrupt the country.
• 1:48:15
You had the largest deficit of any president in American history, number one. Number two, you have not in fact made any contact, any progress with China. We are the lowest trade deficit with China since 2010.
• 1:48:31
Speaker 5: Thank you, President Biden.
• 1:48:32
  Speaker 3: You lost time.
• 1:48:32
Speaker 5: Thank you, President Biden. Let's discuss an epidemic impacting millions of Americans that both of you have made a top priority in your first term, the opioid crisis. And for both of you, the number of overdose deaths in this country has gone up. Under your term, it went up. Under your term, it has gone up.
• 1:48:50
Former President Trump, despite the efforts that both of you have made, more than a hundred thousand Americans are dying from overdoses every year, primarily from fentanyl and other opioids. What will you do to help Americans right now in the throes of addiction who are struggling to get the treatment they need?
• 1:49:06
Speaker 4: To finish up, we now have the largest deficit in the history of our country under this guy. We have the largest deficit with China. He gets paid by China. He's a Manchurian candidate. He gets money from China.
• 1:49:19
We have so I think he's afraid to deal with them or something. But do you notice he never took out my tariffs because we bring in so much money with the tariffs that I imposed on China. He never took them away. He can't because it's too much money. It's tremendous.
• 1:49:32
And we saved our steel industries, and there was more to come, but he hasn't done that. But he hasn't cut the tariffs because he can't, because it's too much money. But he's got the largest deficit in the history of our country, and he's got the worst the worst situation with China. China's gonna own us if you keep allowing them to do what they're doing to us as a country. They are killing us as a country, Joe, and you can't let that happen.
• 1:49:57
  You're destroying our country.
• 1:49:59
Speaker 5: So, president Trump, you have sixty seven seconds left. The question was, what are you gonna do to help Americans in the throes of addiction right now who are struggling to get the treatment they need?
• 1:50:08
Speaker 4: Jake, we're doing very well at addiction until the COVID came along. We had the two and a half, almost three years of like nobody's ever had before, any country, in every way. And then we had to get tough. And it was the drugs pouring across the border were it it started to increase. We got great equipment.
• 1:50:26
We bought certain dog. That's the most incredible thing that you've ever seen, the way they can spot it. We did a lot. And we had we were getting very low numbers. Very, very low numbers.
• 1:50:36
Then he came along. The numbers have you seen the numbers now? It's not only the 18,000,000 people that I believe is even low because they they got a ways. They don't even talk about got a ways. But the numbers of the the amount of drugs and human trafficking in women coming across our border, the worst thing I've ever seen at numbers that nobody's ever seen under him because the border is so bad.
• 1:51:01
But the the number of drugs coming across our border now is is the largest we've ever had by far.
• 1:51:06
Speaker 5: President Trump, thank you. President Biden?
• 1:51:08
Speaker 3: Fentanyl and the byproducts of fentanyl went down for a while. And I wanted to make sure we use the machinery that can detect fentanyl, these big machines that roll over everything that comes across the border. And it costs a lot of money. That was part of this deal we together. This bipartisan deal.
• 1:51:25
More fentanyl machines, more more be able to detect drugs, more more numbers of of agents, more numbers of all the people at the border. And when we had that deal done, he went he called his Republican colleagues and don't do it. It's gonna hurt me politically. No. He never argued it's not a good bill.
• 1:51:44
It's a really good bill. We need those machines. We need those machines. And we're coming down very hard in every country in Asia in terms of precursors for fentanyl, and Mexico is working with us to make sure they don't have the technology to be able to put it together. That's what we have to do.
• 1:52:00
  We need those machines.
• 1:52:02
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Biden. President Trump, and again, the question is about Americans in the throes of addiction right now struggling to get the treatment they need.
• 1:52:10
Speaker 4: Well, this because this does pertain it to it. He ended remain in Mexico. He ended catch and release. I made a catch and release in Mexico, not catch and release here. We had so many things that we had done, hard negotiations with Mexico, and I got it all for nothing.
• 1:52:25
It's just like when you have a hostage. We always pay $6,000,000,000 for a every time we say there's a hostage. Now we have a hostage, a Wall Street Journal reporter. I think a good guy, and he's over there because Putin is laughing at this guy, probably asking for billions of dollars for the reporter. Quickly as soon as I take office.
• 1:52:47
Before I take office, I said, by literally, as soon as I win the election, I will have that reporter out. He should've had him out a long time ago, but Putin's probably asking for billions and billions of dollars because this guy pays it every time. We had two cases. We paid $6,000,000,000 for five people. I got 58 people out, and I paid essentially nothing.
• 1:53:09
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Trump. Dana?
• 1:53:10
Speaker 7: Let's turn to concerns that voters have about each of you. President Biden, you would be 86 at the end of your second term. How do you address concerns about your capability to handle the toughest job in the world well into your eighties?
• 1:53:27
Speaker 3: Well, first of all, I spent half my career being being criticized being the youngest person in politics. I was the second youngest person ever elected in the States Senate, and now I'm the oldest. This guy is three years younger and a lot less competent. I think that just look at the record. Look at what I've done.
• 1:53:45
Look. I've turned around the horrible situation he left me. As I said, 50,000,000 new jobs, 800,000 manufacturing jobs, more investment in America, over millions billions of dollars in private investment in enterprises that we are growing. By the way, we brought an awful lot of people from the whole idea of computer chips. We set 40% of the market.
• 1:54:07
We invented those chips and we lost it because he was sending people to cheap to find the cheapest jobs overseas and then bring home a product. So I went I went to South Korea. I convinced Samsung to invest billions of dollars here in The United States. And guess what? Those fabs they call to build these chips, those fabs pay over $100,000 You don't need a college degree for them.
• 1:54:34
And there's billions, about $40,000,000,000 already being invested and being built right now in The United States creating significant jobs for Americans all over the from all over the world.
• 1:54:44
Speaker 7: President Biden, you have forty seconds left. Would you like to add anything?
• 1:54:48
Speaker 3: Yeah. I would. The the idea that somehow we are this failing country. I never heard a president talk like this before. We we're the envy of the world.
• 1:54:58
I name me a single major country president who wouldn't trade places with The United States Of America for all our problems and all our opportunities. We're the most progressive country in the world in getting things done. We're the strongest country in the world. We're a country in the world who keeps our word and everybody trusts us, all of our allies and our our and our those who he coddles up to from Kim Jong un who sent love letters to and Putin, etcetera, they don't wanna screw around with us.
• 1:55:27
Speaker 7: Thank you. Former president Trump, to follow-up, you would be 82 at the end of your second term. What do you say to voters who have concerns about your capabilities to serve?
• 1:55:37
Speaker 4: Well, I took two tests, cognitive tests. I aced them. Both of them, as you know, we made it public. He took none. I'd like to see him take one, just one, a real easy one.
• 1:55:46
Like, go through the first five questions, he couldn't do it. But I took two cognitive tests. I took physical exams every year. And, you know, we knock on wood wherever we may have wood that I'm in very good health. I just won two club championships, not even senior, two regular club championships.
• 1:56:03
To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way. And I do it. He doesn't do it. He can't hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match.
• 1:56:12
He can't hit a ball 50 yards. I think I'm in very good shape. I feel that I'm as in good a shape as I was twenty five, thirty years ago. Actually, I'm probably a little bit lighter, but I'm in as good a shape as I was years ago. I feel very good.
• 1:56:27
I feel the same. I took I was willing to take a cognitive test. And you know what? If I didn't do well, I aced him. Doctor Ronnie Jackson, who's a great guy when he was White House doctor.
• 1:56:37
And then I took another one, a similar one. And both one of them said they've never seen anybody aced him.
• 1:56:42
Speaker 7: Thank you. President Biden?
• 1:56:44
Speaker 3: You can see he is six foot five and only two hundred and twenty third pounds or twenty thirty five pounds. Well, you said six four, two hundred. Well, anyway, that's what you've anyway, just take a look at what he says he is and take a look at what he is. Look. I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him.
• 1:57:02
The reason I got my handicap, which when I was vice president down to a six. And but by the way, I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?
• 1:57:15
Speaker 4: That's the biggest lie. He's a six handicap of all.
• 1:57:19
Speaker 3: I was at eight handicap. Yeah. Eight. But I have you know how many
• 1:57:24
Speaker 4: I've seen you swing. I know you swing. You But let's
• 1:57:26
Speaker 3: let's not act like children.
• 1:57:27
  Speaker 7: President Trump,
• 1:57:28
Speaker 4: we're going to 21. Let's not act like children.
• 1:57:31
Speaker 7: Are a specific concern that voters have about you. Will you pledge tonight that once all legal challenges have been exhausted, that you will accept the results of this election regardless of who wins and you will say right now that political violence in any form is unacceptable?
• 1:57:50
Speaker 4: Well, I shouldn't have to say that, but of course I believe that. It's totally unacceptable. Unacceptable. And if you would see my statements that I made on Twitter at the time and also my statement that I made in the Rose Garden, you would say it's one of the strongest statements you've ever seen. In addition to the speech I made, in front of, I believe, the largest crowd I've ever spoken to.
• 1:58:08
And I will tell you, nobody ever talks about that. They talk about a relatively small number of people that went to the Capitol and, in many cases, were ushered in by the police. And as Nancy Pelosi said, it was her responsibility, not mine. She said that loud and clear. But the answer is, if the election is fair, free, and I want that more than anybody.
• 1:58:28
And I'll tell you something. I wish he was a great president because I wouldn't be here right now. I'd be at one of my many places enjoying myself. I wouldn't be under indictment because I wouldn't have been his political appoint you know, opponent because he indicted me because I was his opponent. I wish he was a great president.
• 1:58:48
I would rather have that. I wouldn't be here. I don't mind being here. But the only reason I'm here is he's so bad as a president that I'm gonna make America great again. We're gonna make America great again.
• 1:58:59
We're a failing nation right now. We're a seriously failing nation. And we're a failing nation because of him. Policies are so bad. His military policies are, insane.
• 1:59:12
They're insane. These are wars that will never end with him. He will drive us into World War three, and we're closer to World War three than anybody can imagine. We are very, very close to World War three, and he's driving us there. And Kim Jong un and, president Xi of China, Kim Jong Un of North Korea, all of these Putin, they don't respect him.
• 1:59:33
They don't fear him. They have nothing going with this gentleman, and he's gonna drive us into World War three.
• 1:59:41
Speaker 3: You want a World War three? Let him follow and win, and let Putin say do what you want, NATO. Just do what you want. There's a thing called article five. An attack on one is attack on all and required response.
• 1:59:54
The idea the idea I can't think of a single major leader in the world who wouldn't trade places with the job I've done and what they've done because we are a powerful nation. We have wonderful peace because of the people, not me. It's because of the American people. They're capable of anything, they step up when they're needed. And right now, we're needed.
• 2:00:14
We're needed to protect the world because of our own safety at stake. And, you wanna have a war, just let Putin go ahead and take Kyiv, make sure they move on, see what happens in Poland, Hungary, and other places along that border. Then you have a war.
• 2:00:30
Speaker 7: President Trump, as I come back to you for a follow-up, the question was, will you accept the results of this election regardless of who wins?
• 2:00:39
Speaker 4: Just to finish what he said, if I might. Russia, they took a lot of land from Bush. They took a lot of land from Obama and Biden. They took no land, nothing from Trump. Nothing.
• 2:00:53
He knew not to do it. He's not gonna play games with me. He knew that. I got along with him very well, but he knew not to play games. He took nothing from me.
• 2:01:02
But now he's gonna take the whole thing from this man right here. That's a war that should have never started. It would have never started ever with me. And he's going to take Ukraine. And, you know, you asked me a question before, would you do this with he's got us in such a bad position right now with with Ukraine and Russia because Ukraine's not winning that war.
• 2:01:24
He said, I will never settle until such time. They're running out of people. They're running out of soldiers. 've lost so many people. It's so sad.
• 2:01:31
They've lost so many people, and they've lost those gorgeous cities with the golden domes that are a thousand years old, all because of him and stupid decisions. Russia would have never attacked I would
• 2:01:43
Speaker 7: Trump, the question was, will you accept the results of the election regardless of who wins? Yes or no, please.
• 2:01:49
Speaker 4: If it's a fair and legal and good election, absolutely. I would have much rather accepted these, but the the fraud and everything else was ridiculous. And if you want, we'll have a news conference on it in a week or we'll have another one of these on a in a week. But I will absolutely there's nothing I'd rather do. It would be much easier for me to do that than I'm running again.
• 2:02:15
I wasn't really going to run until I saw the horrible job he did. He's destroying our country. I would be very happy to be someplace else in a nice location someplace. Someplace. And again, no indictments, no political opponent stuff because it's the only way he thinks he can win.
• 2:02:32
But unfortunately, it's driven up by numbers and driven them up to a very high level because the people understand it.
• 2:02:38
Speaker 3: Let's see what your numbers are when this election is over. Let's see. Let's see. You're a whiner. When you lost the first time, you said you continued.
• 2:02:47
You appealed and appealed to courts all across the country. Not one single court America said any of your claims had any merit, state or local, none. But you continue to provoke this lie about somehow there's all this misrepresentation, all this stealing. There is no evidence of that at all. And I tell you what, I doubt whether you'll accept it because you're such a whiner.
• 2:03:12
The idea if you lose again, you accept it, anything, you can't stand the loss. Something snapped and you wouldn't have lost the last time.
• 2:03:19
Speaker 7: We'll be right back with more from the CNN presidential debate live from Georgia.
• 2:03:30
Seth Holehouse: Alright, Chris. Where we at, man? Oops. You're muted still. Do you mute yourself?
• 2:03:37
Speaker 2: Oh, my apologies. Yes. So so Biden's had a few more senior moments, obviously. He's up to, 15. But I will say, you know, listening to this Twitter sphere, obviously, it's what's very interesting though that's happening is, Politico, Newsweek, Andrew Yang, a former opponent of his back in 2020, New York Times, and even Breaking nine one one have all basically said, and even even a member of The View have come out saying that Biden is doing a terrible job and that they're now shifting towards blaming CNN and saying that CNN is being too fair and too moderate towards Trump.
• 2:04:15
So it's it's it's it's pretty interesting. I'll give you a headline right now with, from, from Politico. Democrats are panicking over Biden's early debate performance, which has been defined by hoarse voice and meandering answers. They're also saying that he has a cold now as well, and that's from, Politico, twenty five minutes ago. So, so he's not he's not getting any help with his with his own people, and there's a growing Twitter, call to replace him with, with Gavin Newsom.
• 2:04:46
Seth Holehouse: It is interesting how Senan's handling this. It's a night and day difference from the last debates. I mean, with Chris Wallace, where it was just complete disrespect and talking over Trump, and it was it was bad. I I'm I'm actually surprised that it feels very neutral. Like, I feel actually, I feel like they're giving Biden just as difficult a questions as as they're giving Trump.
• 2:05:13
Speaker 2: Yeah. I agree. Yeah. You know, and and that's I mean, I feel like Trump is exaggerating. You know, he always exaggerates.
• 2:05:19
But, you know, but I I am surprised how much Biden is doubling down on lies, though. And and and it's almost as a and they're both regurgitating talking points from forty years ago, you know, obviously. But, you know, but for Biden to not once, not twice, but three times regurgitate, you know, the Stormy Daniels, you know, the porn star thing that has been largely completely debunked. Actually, she still owes Trump several hundred thousands of dollars for anti defamation lawsuits, and she admitted it never happened. The Charlottesville, I was I was baffled that Biden brought that up when literally two days ago, that's been wildly debunked.
• 2:05:51
Even CNN admitted that that it was a complete lie. The j six stuff, you know, with a Nancy Pelosi. I mean, it it's and and even and actually, Twitter sphere is still blowing up because Biden lied blatantly saying that the border patrol union endorsed him, and they've been vehemently on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram saying, we have never endorsed Biden. We fully endorsed Trump. I mean, it's it's it's it's it's interesting how they're how they're how they're, combating each other.
• 2:06:16
But I I do I would say the golf situation did get a little out of hand.
• 2:06:20
Seth Holehouse: Comical, if anything. Know, one thing I I would say is that it's it's a it's a tale of two worlds. For someone watching this, it's like you either think America's in a better place or you don't. And if you if you if you legitimately think America is in a much better place than what it was four years ago, then you're going to agree that then, like, everything Biden is saying is gonna make sense. But if you don't think that, like, if you think that America is actually much worse off now than it was, which I think is I can't imagine anybody thinking it's better.
• 2:07:01
Like, you know, rising costs, instability in the country, crime, homelessness, the big the big cities falling apart. So if you have that perspective that our country is not better off, then you're gonna you're gonna have a hard time not aligning with Trump because Trump is he he's making that that point. So, anyway, back, the debate just came back on. I think we're almost almost done now.
• 2:07:26
Speaker 3: Trump in his last term. We find ourselves in a situation where, number one, we have to make sure that we have a fair tax system. I ask anyone out there in the audience or anyone out watching this debate, do you think the tax system is fair? The fact is that I said, nobody would make it under $400,000 had a single penny increase in their taxes and will not and if I'm reelected, that'll be the case again. But this guy is has increased your taxes because of the deficit, number one.
• 2:07:58
He's increased inflation because of the debacle he left after the way he handled the pandemic. And finds himself in a position where he now wants to tax you more by putting a 10% tariff on everything that comes in The United States Of America. What I did, when, for example, he wants to get away with get rid of the ability of Medicare to for the ability to for The Us to be able to negotiate drug prices with the big pharma companies. Well, guess what? We got it.
• 2:08:28
We got it down to 15 excuse me, dollars 35 for insulin instead of $400 No more than $2,000 for every senior no matter what they how much prescription they need. You know what that did? That reduced the federal debt debt by a hundred and $60,000,000,000 over ten years because the government don't have to pay the exorbitant prices. I'm gonna make that available to every senior all the longer. It's happening now and everybody in America.
• 2:08:59
He wants to get rid of that. We have I'm gonna make sure that we have childcare. We're gonna significantly increase the credits people have for childcare. I'm gonna make sure we do something about what we're doing on lead pipes and all the things that are causing health problems for people across the country. We're gonna continue to fight to bring down inflation and give people a break.
• 2:09:19
Speaker 5: Thank you, president Biden. President Trump, you now have two minutes for your closing statement.
• 2:09:24
Speaker 4: Like so many politicians, this man is just a complainer. He said we wanna do this. We wanna do that. We wanna get rid of this tax, that tax. But he doesn't do anything.
• 2:09:33
He doesn't do all he does is make our country unsafe by allowing millions and millions of people to pour in. Our military doesn't respect him. We look like fools in Afghanistan. We didn't stop Israel. It was such thing that would have never happened.
• 2:09:48
It should have never happened. Iran was broke. Anybody that did business with Iran, including China, they couldn't do business with The United States. They all passed. Iran was broke.
• 2:09:57
They had no money for Hamas or Hezbollah, Fatera. No money whatsoever. Again, Ukraine should have never happened. He talks about all this stuff, he didn't do it. For three and a half years, we're living in hell.
• 2:10:08
We have the Palestinians, and we have everybody else rioting all over the place. This is a hundred times Charlottesville, a thousand times the whole country is exploding because of you because they don't respect you, and they have to respect their president, and they don't respect you throughout the world. What we did was incredible. We rebuilt the military. We got the largest tax cut in history, the largest regulation cut in history.
• 2:10:34
The reason he's got jobs is because I cut the regulations that gave jobs, but he's putting a lot of those regulations back on. All of the things that we've done, nobody's ever never seen anything like even from a med
