  this

  change
• 1:04
  your
• 1:04
  opinion
• 1:04
  at
• 1:04
  all?
• 1:05
  I
• 1:05
  mean,
• 1:05
  it
• 1:05
  definitely
• 1:06
  caught
• 1:06
  my
• 1:06
  attention.
• 1:07
  It's
• 1:07
  why
• 1:07
  I
• 1:07
  thought
• 1:07
  this
• 1:08
  headline
• 1:08
  was
• 1:09
  worthy
• 1:09
  of
• 1:09
  being
• 1:10
  in
• 1:10
  the
• 1:10
  Fast
• 1:10
  5.
• 1:10
  I
• 1:11
  mean,
• 1:11
  it's
• 1:11
  not
• 1:11
  often
• 1:11
  we
• 1:12
  hear
• 1:12
  a
• 1:13
  retailer,
• 1:13
  especially
• 1:13
  a
• 1:14
  conservative
• 1:14
  retailer
• 1:15
  when
• 1:15
  it
• 1:16
  comes
• 1:16
  to
• 1:16
  technology
• 1:17
  innovation
• 1:18
  like
• 1:18
  H
• 1:18
  E
• 1:18
  B
• 1:19
  testing
• 1:19
  autonomous
• 1:20
  vehicles.
• 1:20
  Like
• 1:21
  it's.
• 1:21
  This
• 1:21
  is
• 1:21
  like
• 1:21
  an
• 1:22
  Amazon
• 1:22
  or
• 1:22
  a
• 1:22
  Walmart
• 1:23
  story
• 1:23
  for
• 1:23
  sure.
• 1:25
  And
• 1:26
  while
• 1:26
  I
• 1:27
  don't
• 1:27
  know
• 1:27
  much
• 1:27
  about
• 1:27
  Austin,
• 1:28
  I
• 1:28
  did
• 1:28
  do
• 1:29
  a
• 1:29
  deep
• 1:29
  dive
• 1:29
  on
• 1:30
  Google
• 1:30
  Maps
• 1:30
  into
• 1:31
  the
• 1:31
  surrounding
• 1:32
  community
• 1:32
  around
• 1:33
  this
• 1:33
  particular
• 1:33
  H
• 1:34
  E
• 1:34
  B
• 1:34
  store.
• 1:35
  And
• 1:35
  this
• 1:36
  particular
• 1:36
  location
• 1:37
  for
• 1:37
  them
• 1:37
  does
• 1:37
  make
• 1:38
  sense.
• 1:38
  There's
• 1:38
  a
• 1:38
  hospital,
• 1:39
  there's
• 1:39
  a
• 1:39
  giant
• 1:40
  sports
• 1:40
  complex,
• 1:41
  there's
• 1:41
  a
• 1:41
  small
• 1:41
  residential
• 1:42
  neighborhood,
• 1:43
  there's
• 1:43
  hotels,
• 1:43
  there's
• 1:44
  retirement
• 1:44
  communities.
• 1:45
  So
• 1:45
  within
• 1:45
  a
• 1:46
  one
• 1:46
  mile
• 1:46
  radius,
• 1:47
  yes.
• 1:47
  An
• 1:48
  autonomous
• 1:49
  vehicle
• 1:50
  that
• 1:50
  can
• 1:50
  deliver
• 1:51
  10
• 1:51
  items
• 1:51
  or
• 1:51
  less
• 1:52
  makes
• 1:52
  complete
• 1:52
  sense.
• 1:54
  I
• 1:55
  don't
• 1:55
  know
• 1:55
  how
• 1:55
  this
• 1:55
  scales
• 1:56
  to
• 1:56
  the
• 1:57
  rest
• 1:57
  of
• 1:57
  the
• 1:57
  H
• 1:57
  E
• 1:58
  B
• 1:58
  locations
• 1:58
  because
• 1:58
  when
• 1:59
  I
• 1:59
  first
• 1:59
  read
• 1:59
  the
• 1:59
  mile
• 1:59
  radius,
• 2:00
  I
• 2:00
  was
• 2:00
  like,
• 2:00
  does
• 2:00
  that
• 2:01
  even
• 2:01
  get
• 2:01
  you
• 2:01
  out
• 2:01
  of
• 2:01
  the
• 2:01
  parking
• 2:02
  lot
• 2:02
  of
• 2:02
  H
• 2:02
  E
• 2:02
  b?
• 2:03
  Like
• 2:03
  they're
• 2:03
  so
• 2:04
  massive
• 2:04
  and
• 2:05
  they're
• 2:05
  in
• 2:05
  these
• 2:05
  like,
• 2:05
  right
• 2:07
  out,
• 2:07
  like
• 2:07
  suburban
• 2:08
  locations.
• 2:09
  So
• 2:09
  that
• 2:09
  part
• 2:09
  to
• 2:10
  me
• 2:10
  is,
• 2:11
  is
• 2:11
  still
• 2:11
  a
• 2:11
  little
• 2:11
  mystifying.
• 2:12
  But
• 2:13
  I
• 2:13
  think
• 2:13
  from
• 2:13
  HB's
• 2:14
  perspective,
• 2:15
  like,
• 2:15
  if
• 2:15
  it
• 2:15
  makes
• 2:15
  sense
• 2:16
  for
• 2:16
  you
• 2:16
  to
• 2:16
  test
• 2:16
  this
• 2:17
  out
• 2:17
  in
• 2:17
  a
• 2:17
  smaller,
• 2:18
  more
• 2:18
  urban,
• 2:19
  you
• 2:19
  know,
• 2:19
  environment
• 2:20
  around
• 2:20
  your
• 2:20
  stores,
• 2:22
  go
• 2:22
  for
• 2:22
  it.
• 2:22
  I
• 2:23
  don't
• 2:23
  think
• 2:23
  they're
• 2:23
  going
• 2:23
  to
• 2:23
  see
• 2:24
  any
• 2:24
  long
• 2:24
  term.
• 2:24
  Like,
• 2:25
  I
• 2:25
  don't
• 2:25
  think
• 2:25
  we're
• 2:25
  Going
• 2:25
  to
• 2:26
  see
• 2:26
  these
• 2:26
  rolling
• 2:26
  out
• 2:26
  of
• 2:26
  hebs
• 2:27
  everywhere.
• 2:27
  So
• 2:27
  you
• 2:28
  think
• 2:28
  this
• 2:28
  is
• 2:28
  like
• 2:28
  a
• 2:28
  one
• 2:28
  and
• 2:28
  done.
• 2:29
  This
• 2:29
  is
• 2:29
  a
• 2:29
  flash
• 2:29
  in
• 2:29
  the
• 2:29
  pan?
• 2:29
  I
• 2:30
  think
• 2:30
  so.
• 2:30
  I
• 2:30
  think
• 2:31
  so.
• 2:31
  I
• 2:31
  mean,
• 2:31
  I
• 2:31
  think
• 2:31
  it's
• 2:32
  just,
• 2:32
  it's
• 2:32
  a,
• 2:33
  it's
• 2:33
  HEB
• 2:33
  getting
• 2:33
  in
• 2:34
  the
• 2:34
  news
• 2:34
  for
• 2:34
  doing
• 2:34
  something
• 2:34
  innovative.
• 2:35
  So
• 2:36
  that's
• 2:36
  worth
• 2:36
  noting
• 2:36
  to
• 2:37
  me,
• 2:37
  which.
• 2:38
  HB
• 2:38
  doesn't
• 2:38
  necessarily
• 2:38
  need
• 2:39
  to
• 2:39
  do
• 2:39
  either.
• 2:39
  That's
• 2:39
  what's
• 2:40
  so
• 2:40
  interesting
• 2:40
  about
• 2:40
  this.
• 2:41
  I
• 2:41
  mean,
• 2:41
  ETB
• 2:42
  is
• 2:42
  like
• 2:42
  one
• 2:42
  of
• 2:42
  the
• 2:42
  best
• 2:42
  run
• 2:43
  grocers,
• 2:43
  if
• 2:43
  not
• 2:43
  the
• 2:43
  best
• 2:44
  in
• 2:44
  the
• 2:44
  country.
• 2:44
  But
• 2:45
  I
• 2:45
  mean,
• 2:46
  I
• 2:46
  kind
• 2:46
  of,
• 2:47
  I
• 2:47
  kind
• 2:47
  of
• 2:47
  think
• 2:47
  this
• 2:47
  is
• 2:48
  silly.
• 2:48
  I
• 2:48
  think
• 2:48
  it,
• 2:49
  I
• 2:49
  think
• 2:49
  this
• 2:49
  has
• 2:49
  just
• 2:50
  got
• 2:50
  through
• 2:50
  the
• 2:50
  media,
• 2:51
  you
• 2:52
  know,
• 2:52
  got
• 2:52
  out
• 2:52
  in
• 2:52
  the
• 2:52
  media,
• 2:53
  and
• 2:53
  it
• 2:53
  was
• 2:53
  probably
• 2:53
  just
• 2:54
  the
• 2:54
  benefit
• 2:54
  of
• 2:55
  some
• 2:55
  hard
• 2:55
  work
• 2:55
  of
• 2:55
  some
• 2:56
  individual
• 2:57
  inside
• 2:57
  H
• 2:57
  E
• 2:57
  B
• 2:57
  that
• 2:58
  got
• 2:58
  someone
• 2:58
  to
• 2:58
  approve
• 2:59
  this
• 2:59
  test.
• 2:59
  Because
• 3:00
  I
• 3:00
  just
• 3:00
  don't
• 3:00
  see
• 3:00
  it
• 3:00
  in
• 3:01
  the
• 3:01
  long
• 3:01
  run.
• 3:01
  You've
• 3:01
  got
• 3:02
  drone
• 3:02
  delivery
• 3:02
  as
• 3:02
  an
• 3:02
  option.
• 3:03
  You've
• 3:03
  got
• 3:04
  the
• 3:04
  limitations
• 3:04
  of
• 3:04
  this.
• 3:05
  Like
• 3:05
  we've
• 3:05
  talked
• 3:05
  about
• 3:05
  on
• 3:06
  the
• 3:06
  show
• 3:06
  a
• 3:06
  lot
• 3:06
  of
• 3:06
  times,
• 3:07
  one
• 3:07
  to
• 3:07
  one
• 3:07
  delivery
• 3:08
  just
• 3:08
  doesn't
• 3:08
  always
• 3:08
  make
• 3:09
  that
• 3:09
  much
• 3:09
  sense.
• 3:09
  Even
• 3:10
  with
• 3:10
  drones,
• 3:10
  it's
• 3:10
  an
• 3:11
  issue.
• 3:11
  And
• 3:11
  then
• 3:12
  you've
• 3:12
  got
• 3:12
  like
• 3:12
  the
• 3:12
  autonomous,
• 3:13
  you
• 3:13
  know,
• 3:14
  vehicles
• 3:14
  in
• 3:14
  general,
• 3:15
  you
• 3:15
  know,
• 3:15
  growing
• 3:16
  in
• 3:16
  usage
• 3:17
  both
• 3:17
  from
• 3:17
  taxis.
• 3:18
  So
• 3:18
  if
• 3:18
  we
• 3:19
  get
• 3:19
  taxis
• 3:19
  online
• 3:19
  and
• 3:20
  then
• 3:20
  we
• 3:20
  get
• 3:20
  delivery
• 3:21
  vehicles
• 3:21
  online
• 3:21
  and
• 3:21
  we
• 3:22
  figure
• 3:22
  that
• 3:22
  out,
• 3:22
  like,
• 3:22
  it
• 3:23
  seems
• 3:23
  like
• 3:23
  that's
• 3:23
  a
• 3:23
  better
• 3:23
  way
• 3:24
  to
• 3:24
  go
• 3:24
  in
• 3:24
  the
• 3:24
  long
• 3:24
  run.
• 3:24
  So
• 3:24
  this
• 3:25
  just,
• 3:25
  I,
• 3:25
  I
• 3:25
  came
• 3:26
  up
• 3:26
  the
• 3:26
  word
• 3:26
  garminized
• 3:27
  and
• 3:27
  this
• 3:27
  feels
• 3:27
  like
• 3:27
  it's
• 3:28
  going
• 3:28
  to
• 3:28
  be
• 3:28
  Garmin
• 3:29
  out
• 3:29
  at
• 3:29
  some
• 3:30
  point,
• 3:30
  you
• 3:30
  know,
• 3:30
  like
• 3:30
  the
• 3:31
  Garmin,
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  Garmin
• 3:32
  GPS
• 3:32
  systems,
• 3:33
  you
• 3:33
  know,
• 3:33
  like.
• 3:34
  It'S
• 3:34
  going
• 3:34
  to
• 3:34
  go
• 3:34
  the
• 3:35
  way,
• 3:35
  it's.
• 3:35
  Going
• 3:35
  to
• 3:36
  go
• 3:36
  the
• 3:36
  way
• 3:36
  of
• 3:36
  Garmin,
• 3:36
  you
• 3:36
  know,
• 3:37
  because,
• 3:37
  like,
• 3:37
  it's
• 3:37
  just
• 3:38
  something
• 3:38
  that
• 3:38
  just
• 3:38
  doesn't
• 3:39
  feel,
• 3:39
  you
• 3:39
  know,
• 3:39
  what,
• 3:40
  ultimately
• 3:40
  that
• 3:40
  valuable
• 3:41
  in
• 3:41
  the
• 3:41
  long
• 3:41
  run.
• 3:42
  What
• 3:42
  do
• 3:42
  you
• 3:42
  think
• 3:42
  they
• 3:42
  were
• 3:42
  thinking?
• 3:43
  Like,
• 3:43
  how
• 3:43
  does
• 3:43
  somebody
• 3:44
  approve
• 3:44
  this?
• 3:44
  Like,
• 3:45
  do
• 3:45
  you
• 3:45
  see
• 3:45
  any
• 3:45
  potential
• 3:46
  for
• 3:46
  like
• 3:47
  an
• 3:47
  H
• 3:47
  E
• 3:47
  B
• 3:47
  future
• 3:48
  of
• 3:48
  using
• 3:49
  these
• 3:49
  in
• 3:49
  real
• 3:50
  life?
• 3:50
  I
• 3:51
  don't
• 3:51
  know.
• 3:51
  My,
• 3:51
  my
• 3:52
  hunch
• 3:52
  is
• 3:52
  maybe
• 3:52
  that,
• 3:52
  that
• 3:53
  the,
• 3:53
  the,
• 3:53
  the
• 3:53
  Avrite
• 3:54
  came
• 3:54
  in
• 3:54
  and
• 3:54
  said,
• 3:55
  hey,
• 3:55
  we'll
• 3:55
  give
• 3:55
  you
• 3:55
  a
• 3:55
  smoking
• 3:56
  deal
• 3:56
  if
• 3:56
  you
• 3:56
  start
• 3:56
  piloting
• 3:57
  this
• 3:57
  with
• 3:57
  us.
• 3:57
  As
• 3:57
  we
• 3:57
  said,
• 3:58
  based
• 3:59
  company,
• 4:00
  right?
• 4:00
  Yeah.
• 4:01
  We
• 4:01
  need
• 4:01
  a
• 4:01
  place
• 4:01
  to
• 4:01
  test
• 4:01
  this
• 4:02
  and
• 4:02
  prove
• 4:02
  out
• 4:02
  the
• 4:02
  model.
• 4:03
  So
• 4:03
  this
• 4:03
  is
• 4:03
  the,
• 4:04
  yeah,
• 4:04
  kind
• 4:04
  of
• 4:04
  the
• 4:04
  inside
• 4:05
  baseball
• 4:05
  and
• 4:05
  potentially
• 4:06
  how
• 4:06
  some
• 4:06
  of
• 4:06
  this
• 4:06
  works,
• 4:06
  we
• 4:07
  have
• 4:07
  no
• 4:07
  idea.
• 4:08
  But
• 4:08
  I
• 4:09
  don't
• 4:09
  know.
• 4:09
  That's
• 4:09
  just
• 4:10
  my
• 4:10
  take.
