- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Ooh, today we're talking about making peace with people, to
- 0:34irritate me. Good Lord, we all have people,
- 0:37the irritate us, don't we? In fact, I mean sometimes we
- 0:41have people that irritate us, they oppose us, they put
- 0:46negativity on us. It's a, it's a rather complex
- 0:50Dynamic dealing with other people out in the world.
- 0:53And when you are in that position where you have
- 0:57somebody, that is a regular irritant in your life.
- 1:00And they are really pushing your buttons.
- 1:03You have to ask yourself, what is the reason that I'm so
- 1:06fixated on the fact that this person irritates me so much?
- 1:10I always find that. Sometimes when you look at
- 1:13what's happening and you ask yourself what's the reason this
- 1:17is not why they're doing it, please run understand this is
- 1:20not a, why are they doing it question?
- 1:22This is a what's the reason I'm fixated on this like I'm putting
- 1:27energy into this. I'm taking something that
- 1:29clearly irritates me. I'm not a fan of it.
- 1:33I don't enjoy what's happening yet.
- 1:35I'm putting energy into it by allowing it to drag my attention
- 1:40and asking this question and actually looking at it says it
- 1:45gives you a different perspective.
- 1:46It gives you a different point of view and it allows you in
- 1:49those moments to be really clear on the fact that if I don't make
- 1:54peace with this in some Way shape, or form.
- 1:57This is going to keep coming up in my life, because my personal
- 2:02opinion, is when this stuff shows up and people are
- 2:07irritating, us pushing our buttons, making us have
- 2:10emotional reactions, and I'm are quoting that, making us have
- 2:13emotional reactions, because nobody can make you have a
- 2:16reaction that you don't allow, we are in charge of our
- 2:20emotions, and we are the ones that have the ability to have
- 2:24the reaction or not have the reaction.
- 2:26My personal world, I can tell you hands down, my husband can
- 2:30push my buttons, like nobody's business and if I work so hard
- 2:35to get rid of my buttons and I'm so great and so many areas with
- 2:37it. But that man, he has like panel
- 2:41button that he can just walk up and bink.
- 2:43Bink, bink, bink, bink. And I fire off and I'm just
- 2:47being honest with you because I think it's important to know
- 2:49that we're not. Nobody's perfect in this.
- 2:52And I'm absolutely I will never say that I'm perfect in this.
- 2:56Cuz one of my biggest things is learning how to get rid of my
- 2:59buttons, so that I don't have these reactions because it's
- 3:02frustrating and I'm sometimes, I'm not making peace with stuff
- 3:06and I don't want to have a life that is not filled with peace.
- 3:12So if I'm looking at the things that I am getting irritated by
- 3:15and the things that push my buttons.
- 3:18I have to say I have to make peace with it.
- 3:20I have to make decisions about it.
- 3:22I have to not allow this and it's not like okay I Going to
- 3:27allow this to eat me up every single day, that's not going to
- 3:30get you where you want to go. And you know, Dalai Lama says,
- 3:33purpose of life is to be happy, which I really believe that.
- 3:37But I would like to expand on that by saying the purpose of
- 3:41life is to choose to be happy. It's to choose to be happy, no
- 3:46matter what is going on. You choose to be happy and you
- 3:49find that you are so much better off when you actually make the
- 3:53choice to be happy. So can I be happy?
- 3:56Even though other things are going on, yes, you have heard me
- 3:59say before you can experience multiple emotions at the same
- 4:02time. And that's all, that's all
- 4:04wonderful. But you have to stop letting
- 4:08other people, push the buttons and irritate you, and you have
- 4:12to make peace with the fact that you still have the buttons.
- 4:16So for me, I've made peace with the fact that my buttons show
- 4:20up. I work to get rid of them, but
- 4:23I'm not angry with myself for having the buttons.
- 4:26The more because that's just stupid and I work to get rid of
- 4:29them and they diminish over time it definitely works itself
- 4:34backwards but it is still present and that's because I'm
- 4:38human. That's because life changes.
- 4:41People evolve, things happen and even when you think you've got
- 4:45something nailed down, I will guarantee you.
- 4:48It will show up when you least expect it because that's called
- 4:51being human. So making peace with it, doesn't
- 4:54mean you let go of it. Doesn't mean In your you've
- 4:57given up, it just means that you're not letting it irritate
- 4:59you the way that it once did, you're not letting things get to
- 5:03you the way that they once did. It means that you have decided
- 5:07and chosen to say, okay, I am going to without question Focus.
- 5:12My attention on choosing to be happy and I'm just going to let
- 5:17it go. I'm going to let it melt away
- 5:18like an ice cube. It just melts away.
- 5:21So I hope that you guys can understand the process of this
- 5:24so that you can really Make peace with these people, the
- 5:28irritate you and those who just push those buttons because you
- 5:32know what? It doesn't mean you give up it
- 5:34doesn't mean you. Let them get away with anything.
- 5:36It just means you made peace with it.
- 5:38So you know I'm not letting this eat me up inside and steal my
- 5:41joy. All right, my friends.
- 5:43I hope you have a very blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:46Bye.
