- 3:43Speaker 2: holidays on the house restrictions apply We were just talking
- 3:48Speaker 2: right before we started, and I go, wait, what I
- 3:50Speaker 2: always say, save it for the pod, stop talking. But
- 3:53Speaker 2: we were talking about certain shows, and I've talked a
- 3:56Speaker 2: little bit about this, that I can't get on the
- 4:00Speaker 2: view of the talk or whatever it is. And I
- 4:01Speaker 2: don't know why, but I'm very curious. And if someone
- 4:05Speaker 2: can tell me why, I won't even be hurt or mad.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I just want to know. Because now in this podcasting
- 4:12Speaker 2: world and stuff, I know that all of a sudden
- 4:15Speaker 2: a fan could– tell a housewife or a podcaster, Heather
- 4:19Speaker 2: McDowell said this about you on her show.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And the person never bothers to go listen themselves.
- 4:24Speaker 5: It's left to their interpretation, which I don't know if
- 4:26Speaker 5: you're on a fifth grade reading level, you might be
- 4:28Speaker 5: a genius. I don't know, but it's up to you
- 4:31Speaker 5: to figure it out.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Or the fan is lying and misconstruing it to hurt
- 4:35Speaker 2: you and then hurt the both of you because they
- 4:37Speaker 2: realized by inserting themselves and giving you misinformation that now
- 4:41Speaker 2: you're no longer going to be friends. And so I don't,
- 4:44Speaker 2: sometimes when I think, well, So you were like, what
- 4:48Speaker 2: do you think it is? I'm like, I don't know
- 4:50Speaker 2: why some exec won't have me on a show. I
- 4:52Speaker 2: could have flipped my hair in their face accidentally in
- 4:55Speaker 2: 1995 in an elevator. And it could literally be that little.
- 5:00Speaker 2: That's how Hollywood works. It's really, if you're in a position,
- 5:03Speaker 2: a little position of power, whether it's booking someone or
- 5:07Speaker 2: the EP or whatever, you can squash that. Any guest,
- 5:11Speaker 2: any guest star, any acting choice, whatever, it could come
- 5:15Speaker 2: down to just the one person. Well, it's the truth.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I mean, and yet it does seem that that's just
- 5:20Speaker 5: for women of our generation of comedy because the men
- 5:23Speaker 5: have been naked in the streets with guns and they
- 5:26Speaker 5: get rebooked and put on big movie posters and everything else.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But who was naked in the street with a gun?
- 5:30Speaker 5: That was Martin Lawrence. But, you know, I was never
- 5:32Speaker 5: on Chelsea lately because the girl who was a booker
- 5:37Speaker 5: Even though I was always nice to Chelsea when I
- 5:41Speaker 5: would see her at the store. She probably doesn't remember
- 5:43Speaker 5: me at all now. But I remember there was a
- 5:46Speaker 5: girl who was a booker that Chelsea brought from Denver.
- 5:50Speaker 5: And I had.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Like I have hypoglycemia. If you don't get me something
- 5:55Speaker 5: to eat, I I'm not like Cy from Real Housewives
- 5:59Speaker 5: of New York. Like I it's not because I'm hungry.
- 6:01Speaker 5: It's because I'm going to pass out and you're not
- 6:03Speaker 5: going to get anything out of me for like a
- 6:04Speaker 5: day and a half. I'm more like Julia Roberts.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Or what was it? Gosh, now it's going to kill me.
- 6:11Speaker 5: You know what I mean. When she's with Arnell. No,
- 6:16Speaker 5: when they're all in their steel magnolias.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Oh, yes. Get her her juice. Drink her juice, Shelby.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm okay, Mama. Drink her juice. I'm okay, Mama.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I'm okay, Mama. I don't even do impressions, but... So
- 6:30Speaker 5: I was doing tons of press in Denver. And we
- 6:34Speaker 5: were from that was at the time when you should
- 6:36Speaker 5: do it from 745 a.m. until two o'clock in the afternoon.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Which you would have to do. And I remember at
- 6:42Speaker 2: Comedy Works back in those days, if if I if
- 6:46Speaker 2: you didn't come in the day before to do all
- 6:48Speaker 2: the press, they were like, don't even bother coming. Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And I do have to say, as comedians, that is
- 6:54Speaker 2: one of the wonderful things that came out came out
- 6:56Speaker 2: of covid. Because we don't have to go anymore. We
- 6:59Speaker 2: don't really have to do the morning radio and the
- 7:01Speaker 2: morning TV shows anymore. I just talked about it with
- 7:02Speaker 2: Chris Frangiola. And the morning TV shows were like, good,
- 7:05Speaker 2: we don't really want you anyway. No one was selling
- 7:09Speaker 2: tickets off of it. But anyway, so you had to
- 7:11Speaker 2: do 6 a.m.
- 7:13Speaker 5: I mean, it was crazy. And don't forget, I came
- 7:15Speaker 5: in from L.A., got in, whatever. And I was literally
- 7:19Speaker 5: about to have an episode. And I was like, I'm hungry.
- 7:22Speaker 5: And the girl goes, I have to do the next one.
- 7:24Speaker 5: And then she kept going after the next one. And
- 7:25Speaker 5: then finally, I was like, Pull over. I have to
- 7:28Speaker 5: get something to eat. And I explained it. I said,
- 7:32Speaker 5: you know, this is what's going on on hypoglycemia. And
- 7:35Speaker 5: I'm like literally eating it like a little squirrel with nuts.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Cut to, I find out that she's in charge. She
- 7:42Speaker 5: wasn't in charge of the booking. Well, I couldn't get
- 7:45Speaker 5: on the show.
- 7:46Speaker 2: She wasn't in charge of the booking, but she was
- 7:48Speaker 2: very high up as far as being right in the
- 7:51Speaker 2: mix of things. So she definitely could have shared an
- 7:55Speaker 2: unflattering story. That could have been forget it.
- 8:00Speaker 5: And I didn't mean anything by it, but I think
- 8:02Speaker 5: I heard, you know, that's when I really learned, though,
- 8:04Speaker 5: because I'm a loud Italian. I'm I'm more of a
- 8:08Speaker 5: man than I am a woman. Like I'm a broad,
- 8:11Speaker 5: you know, and I didn't know how to gently say.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Pardon me, but I have the, you know, I was like,
- 8:18Speaker 5: pull over because, you know, I didn't realize that people
- 8:22Speaker 5: were so sensitive towards now. Now there's a whole generation.
- 8:25Speaker 5: You have to be very careful.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:27Speaker 5: If you correct them on anything, you know, they spit
- 8:30Speaker 5: in your coffee.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Like you have to be careful. But also with the
- 8:33Speaker 2: way social media is, is anyone can do a TikTok about, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 2: let me tell you about the time I had to
- 8:40Speaker 2: take Tammy Pescatelli to radio in Buffalo. Yeah. And, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and then it doesn't matter. And even I just saw
- 8:48Speaker 2: an interview, a clip of a small interview with this
- 8:51Speaker 2: young kid. It's like a it's it's the dark side
- 8:55Speaker 2: of comedy. And it's a small clip of an upcoming episode.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And he's talking about Ellen. And he was this young
- 9:01Speaker 2: kid that I guess she kind of picked up from obscurity, whatever.
- 9:05Speaker 2: And she was going to, like, make him a stand
- 9:07Speaker 2: up or I don't know what dance, make him do something.
- 9:10Speaker 2: And then he's like, and when it didn't work out,
- 9:13Speaker 2: you know. My mom and I never heard from Ellen again.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And thank God, some of the comments are like, that's
- 9:21Speaker 2: how showbiz works. And that's how things work. Did you
- 9:25Speaker 2: think that she was going to be your best friend
- 9:27Speaker 2: and carry you around? Like, was she going to like.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Get a baby Bjorn and carry you around?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, like what... I mean, listen, I know she doesn't
- 9:35Speaker 2: have a great rep or whatever, but it does come
- 9:37Speaker 2: to a point where it's like... Anyone now can just
- 9:40Speaker 2: say a story and it's like, yeah, you know, have
- 9:43Speaker 2: you always been pleasant? I was talking to Josh Wolf
- 9:45Speaker 2: on the phone and I go, I don't know what
- 9:48Speaker 2: else anybody has on me. But, you know, like I've joked,
- 9:51Speaker 2: maybe I didn't have eye contact with someone in an elevator.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And then people wrote, am I supposed to have eye
- 9:55Speaker 2: contact with someone in an elevator? I'm like, well, if
- 9:57Speaker 2: I don't, someone's going to do a TikTok about it.
- 9:59Speaker 2: So you better believe me.
- 10:00Speaker 5: I'm like, hi, how are you?
- 10:03Speaker 2: And then when I had eye contact with someone on
- 10:05Speaker 2: a Sephora, they did put it in the comments. They
- 10:08Speaker 2: were like, she looked at me in the eye, hoping
- 10:11Speaker 2: that someone would recognize her. I'm like, oh my God,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I can't. So anyway, Josh was like, there is someone
- 10:18Speaker 2: in at American Airlines is many, many years ago. I
- 10:22Speaker 2: think it still haunts him to this day where he
- 10:24Speaker 2: was very frustrated with the customer service. And so I'm like,
- 10:28Speaker 2: so you're saying there's someone at American Airlines that could
- 10:32Speaker 2: emerge and like ruin your life. He's like, yes, even
- 10:36Speaker 2: though I called the next day, tried to find the
- 10:39Speaker 2: person to apologize. I know that there is someone at
- 10:42Speaker 2: American Airlines that I'm not pleased with how I spoke
- 10:45Speaker 2: to You know, and I'm like, so everyone thinks we
- 10:50Speaker 2: have it so easy as stars, but I'm sure if
- 10:52Speaker 2: you're just sitting at your home, you've had the pleasure
- 10:56Speaker 2: of being annoyed with customer service and not having it
- 10:59Speaker 2: possibly haunt you and get you canceled.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why I think I'm not, don't have the
- 11:03Speaker 5: career that I always thought I wanted to have because
- 11:05Speaker 5: God is protecting me from my evil doings. I mean,
- 11:09Speaker 5: I'll never forget there was a time that I was getting,
- 11:12Speaker 5: I was on a flight home to Cleveland. I'm from
- 11:14Speaker 5: Cleveland originally. I'm getting my luggage. And this man helped
- 11:17Speaker 5: me with my luggage. And he goes, I said, oh,
- 11:18Speaker 5: thank you so much. And he goes, oh, you're nice today.
- 11:21Speaker 5: And I said, what do you mean? And he said, well,
- 11:23Speaker 5: I was on a flight with you once. I'd just
- 11:24Speaker 5: seen you on this. I saw you in Dennis Miller.
- 11:27Speaker 5: That's how long ago it was. I know who I am, OK?
- 11:33Speaker 5: I'm lucky that I still have a career, let alone
- 11:35Speaker 5: who cares what level it is. The car is beautiful.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Where did you end up going for it?
- 11:40Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dada's connections with. they have more
- 11:44Speaker 3: cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 11:46Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch what's it called it's.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Dune adl where dune adl there's an accent on the
- 11:54Speaker 3: e do you mean yes i got it on done
- 11:57Speaker 3: deal cars lift please you're going past oh kimmage no
- 12:04Speaker 3: done deal cars you couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 12:07Speaker 6: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 12:10Speaker 6: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 12:14Speaker 6: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 12:18Speaker 6: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 12:26Speaker 2: filed against me.
- 12:27Speaker 5: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 12:29Speaker 5: what would you.
- 12:30Speaker 6: Do if it was given back? Where did that need
- 12:32Speaker 6: come from where you thought that you had to succeed
- 12:36Speaker 6: in order to feel loved?
- 12:37Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 12:39Speaker 2: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 12:41Speaker 2: started crying.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 12:46Speaker 6: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 12:49Speaker 6: happens next.
- 12:50Speaker 5: I decided to risk it all.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 12:57Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 12:59Speaker 6: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 13:02Speaker 6: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 13:14Speaker 5: And I said, well, he goes, and you weren't very
- 13:16Speaker 5: nice that day. I said hi to you and you
- 13:18Speaker 5: didn't really even say anything. And I only remembered by
- 13:22Speaker 5: the grace of God because the day I was doing
- 13:25Speaker 5: the Dennis Miller show, my grandfather had died and they
- 13:28Speaker 5: told me on the way to do the show. So
- 13:31Speaker 5: I literally and what a great gentleman Dennis was. Dennis
- 13:34Speaker 5: allowed the car to take me home, get my stuff
- 13:37Speaker 5: and catch a red eye to get it. So I
- 13:39Speaker 5: was trying not to cry in public. because my grandfather
- 13:42Speaker 5: had died that day. But if he wouldn't have told
- 13:44Speaker 5: me specifically that, and then I was like, yeah, okay,
- 13:47Speaker 5: I guess people do have these things in their head
- 13:49Speaker 5: because they have an interaction with you, and you're allowed
- 13:52Speaker 5: to be human.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't know what that person, what call they
- 13:57Speaker 2: just got, what was going on in their life, and
- 14:00Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. And part of our thing
- 14:02Speaker 2: as a stand-up is, yeah, you could be in a
- 14:05Speaker 2: fight with your husband, seeing something awful, and then you
- 14:08Speaker 2: have to be like... Our Father who art in heaven,
- 14:10Speaker 2: hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Hi, everybody.
- 14:12Speaker 2: How you guys doing? Welcome to Hilarities.
- 14:15Speaker 1: It's the truth.
- 14:16Speaker 2: So great to be here. Tell the funny stories about
- 14:19Speaker 2: your funny life. And, like, you have to do it.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You can't be, like, you know.
- 14:24Speaker 5: And I'm blessed to do it because guess what? It
- 14:26Speaker 5: might be the last time someone laughs. You don't know
- 14:28Speaker 5: what's going on in people's lives. Like, I have to
- 14:30Speaker 5: remind myself when all these people, look, I've been around
- 14:35Speaker 5: for a long time. I'm an OG.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 5: We are the generation of women that made it, we
- 14:42Speaker 5: suffered all the indignities and the sexual harassment and me
- 14:47Speaker 5: staying in condos with convicted rapists for comedy condos to
- 14:51Speaker 5: work and you're not complaining because you're afraid you're not
- 14:53Speaker 5: gonna work. And I get that I don't have as
- 14:58Speaker 5: many followers and things like that, but I also remember
- 15:01Speaker 5: that what you do can't be quantified. Laughter is only
- 15:05Speaker 5: quantified in Hollywood. Sitting in the rest of the country,
- 15:09Speaker 5: those people who show up and laugh, they just want
- 15:11Speaker 5: to laugh. So it might be the last time that
- 15:13Speaker 5: they get a chance to laugh. We don't know what's
- 15:15Speaker 5: going on in people's lives. So it's wonderful to be
- 15:17Speaker 5: able to do that. But I have to talk myself
- 15:19Speaker 5: through it a lot.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Well, let's get into some
- 15:22Speaker 2: juicy topics. Okay. Okay. So, TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.
- 15:28Speaker 2: They had the scandal. They were, you know, both married,
- 15:32Speaker 2: had an affair, both got fired. And then I said,
- 15:36Speaker 2: when are they going to get their podcast? Of course,
- 15:38Speaker 2: they got their podcast together. And they're on the red
- 15:40Speaker 2: carpet at the iHeart Christmas thing. And you know what?
- 15:45Speaker 2: I just did a photo. I just screen grabbed this
- 15:47Speaker 2: one on the red carpet because... When I do the
- 15:51Speaker 2: red carpet, and there's only been a few times, like
- 15:54Speaker 2: my husband's been with me, most of the times he's like,
- 15:56Speaker 2: who cares? Because then they're like, okay, could you get
- 15:58Speaker 2: the guy out of the photo?
- 15:59Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 16:00Speaker 2: But when I see two people on the red carpet together,
- 16:05Speaker 2: I think they must plan, we're going to do, we're
- 16:07Speaker 2: going to giggle and do sweet nothings.
- 16:09Speaker 5: There's no way that when.
- 16:12Speaker 2: You had all the whole ride over here and, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 2: and as you're getting ready to tell the funny stories
- 16:19Speaker 2: and everything, and you're going to save it for when
- 16:21Speaker 2: you're on the red carpet to be like, to be like, right.
- 16:24Speaker 5: She's gone. Someone's there.
- 16:26Speaker 1: What?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 16:26Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Because they have a whole branding that they have to read.
- 16:32Speaker 5: America doesn't love this right now.
- 16:35Speaker 2: OK, well, it's getting juicier. So according to their their
- 16:40Speaker 2: opening episode, which is good, they talked about the affair.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I have not heard it.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Great.
- 16:44Speaker 2: But I do think that's the way you start off.
- 16:46Speaker 2: a launch of a podcast hello rachel this part was
- 16:50Speaker 2: said she i don't think he was suicidal but at
- 16:53Speaker 2: one point i guess she couldn't get a hold of
- 16:54Speaker 2: him or something and she was afraid the firing was
- 16:57Speaker 2: so bad and so detrimental to um tj holmes she
- 17:01Speaker 2: was worried that he had killed himself after the good
- 17:03Speaker 2: morning america firing.
- 17:05Speaker 5: So she worried about maybe the fact that he had
- 17:07Speaker 5: lost his family that shows you how she that she's
- 17:10Speaker 5: thinking career this man lost his family she didn't care
- 17:13Speaker 5: about her family She only cared about her job.
- 17:16Speaker 2: That's what she was focused on. Well, now, I don't
- 17:17Speaker 2: know because I don't want to talk too much about
- 17:19Speaker 2: something we haven't heard.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:20Speaker 5: We're doing what we're talking about.
- 17:21Speaker 6: We haven't heard.
- 17:21Speaker 1: We're looking out at TMZ.
- 17:23Speaker 2: It might be very compelling and we might be very sympathetic.
- 17:26Speaker 2: But also today, the juiciest of scoops, allegedly, okay, this
- 17:32Speaker 2: is an exclusive from page six, so maybe it's not
- 17:34Speaker 2: an alleged. This is the happy ending we didn't see coming.
- 17:38Speaker 2: The ex-spouses of the scandalous news couple, T.J. Holmes and
- 17:42Speaker 2: Amy Robach, have gotten closer. Page Six has exclusively learned
- 17:47Speaker 2: that Marilee, T.J. 's wife, and Andrew Hsu, married to Amy,
- 17:53Speaker 2: are dating, according to multiple sources.
- 17:57Speaker 5: I hope so. I hope they ride it all the
- 17:59Speaker 5: way to the bank, because these two... TJ and Amy,
- 18:04Speaker 5: they have to stick together now. They have no choice.
- 18:06Speaker 5: They don't want to. They'll have to wait and quietly
- 18:10Speaker 5: fade away. They have at least a two-year contract.
- 18:13Speaker 2: With each other. That's it. And with iHeart, probably.
- 18:16Speaker 5: But yes, just for themselves. They know it. Somebody sat
- 18:20Speaker 5: them down from PR, from crisis PR, and said, hey,
- 18:24Speaker 5: you guys got to stay together at least two years
- 18:25Speaker 5: so it looks like it's real. You can't look like
- 18:27Speaker 5: you're a homewrecker and then show up in people's homes
- 18:30Speaker 5: every day. It's just not going to happen.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Well, they're not showing up in people's homes. They're showing
- 18:34Speaker 2: up in people's ears.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Well, but it's still their homes.
- 18:37Speaker 2: And I mean, I'm sure the goal is to make
- 18:40Speaker 2: the podcast a huge success.
- 18:42Speaker 5: They should have called it Homeswrecker.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Have a great chemistry. Have a great following. And, you know,
- 18:51Speaker 2: then they launch it to a TV because they have
- 18:53Speaker 2: TV experience, obviously.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 18:56Speaker 2: But no one was going to give them that TV
- 18:58Speaker 2: show after the scandal. But you're right. If they can
- 19:00Speaker 2: make this work and it's super successful for a year
- 19:04Speaker 2: or so, I wouldn't be surprised if then they did
- 19:06Speaker 2: return to TV.
- 19:07Speaker 5: And you know what?
- 19:08Speaker 2: Listen— But you're right. They'd have to stay together.
- 19:10Speaker 5: It's not— Everybody's got their, I will never be the
- 19:13Speaker 5: conscious uncoupling type, okay?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Like, that's just not going to happen. You're going to
- 19:18Speaker 5: hear me screaming and people are going to have a
- 19:19Speaker 5: lot of stories to talk about. God forbid my husband
- 19:21Speaker 5: ever wanted to leave. But, yeah, so if they want
- 19:25Speaker 5: to do it that way and however it works for them,
- 19:27Speaker 5: and I hope Andrew and, for me, I lay with
- 19:31Speaker 5: Andrew and Marilee. Yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm on that team. Well, of course, it
- 19:35Speaker 2: always reminds me of, looks like we made it. Shania Twain. Yes,
- 19:41Speaker 2: it does. Shania Twain. It's the classic story. She and
- 19:47Speaker 2: her husband were married for a long time. which is
- 19:49Speaker 2: why she wrote the song. Looks like we made it
- 19:51Speaker 2: because she was like going to show you guys all
- 19:53Speaker 2: we made it. Well, they didn't make it because he
- 19:54Speaker 2: was making it with her best friend who was also
- 19:57Speaker 2: her assistant. They got together and then she and the
- 20:01Speaker 2: best friend slash assistant's husband, they got together. And I
- 20:05Speaker 2: believe both couples are still together with each other. Are
- 20:08Speaker 2: they still?
- 20:09Speaker 5: I think Mutt is still with the other one, but
- 20:11Speaker 5: I don't know about if Shania is.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Oh.
- 20:14Speaker 5: He was cuter, though.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Who?
- 20:15Speaker 5: Her assistant's man? Yeah, the assistant's man was cuter.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Than her man?
- 20:20Speaker 5: Than Mutt, than the original.
- 20:22Speaker 2: What a last name.
- 20:23Speaker 5: That was his first name.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Oh, really? That's awful.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Yeah, well, he's German. There was some kind of, like,
- 20:29Speaker 5: it might have been short for Helmut.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Also big switcheroo in the O.C., Real Housewives of OC,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Shannon Bedore, divorced from David Bedore, was dating John Jansen.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And she talked all about him on the show. And
- 20:47Speaker 2: she said he's the love of her life. And she's like,
- 20:50Speaker 2: when I fight with John, it is devastating. We have
- 20:54Speaker 2: normal fights that paralyze me. And they're like, well, it
- 20:58Speaker 2: doesn't sound like a normal fight if you're paralyzed. But
- 21:00Speaker 2: she said, I've never loved someone like this. And they,
- 21:04Speaker 2: you know, break up. And well, what happened was, of course, because.
- 21:10Speaker 5: You're so crazy that you can't have an argument with someone.
- 21:15Speaker 5: When are people going to wake up if you can't
- 21:17Speaker 5: just have a discussion or an argument with someone and
- 21:20Speaker 5: that person has to become apoplectic? Who's going to stay
- 21:23Speaker 5: with you? That's a sudden move right there. Yeah. That's
- 21:27Speaker 5: a very Sutton.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Sutton from Beverly Hills. Yeah. Yeah. So they were dating,
- 21:32Speaker 2: you know, it was always like we're on off friends, whatever.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Then she, this is all, you know, allegedly was talking
- 21:42Speaker 2: crap about Alexis, Alexis Bellino, who used to be on
- 21:47Speaker 2: Real Housewives of OC. She was talking crap about her
- 21:51Speaker 2: who happened to be at the same restaurant she was at.
- 21:54Speaker 2: She then took an Uber home, and then realized as
- 22:00Speaker 2: she got out of the Uber, she didn't have her phone.
- 22:02Speaker 2: This is all what I've heard. And so she didn't
- 22:06Speaker 2: have her phone, I'm assuming, to call another Uber to
- 22:09Speaker 2: go get it back at the... Okay, that makes sense.
- 22:11Speaker 2: So she then got in her car to go back
- 22:16Speaker 2: to the restaurant, and that is when she hit someone's home.
- 22:21Speaker 2: with her car, no one was hurt.
- 22:23Speaker 5: And did the fake dog walk.
- 22:24Speaker 2: And then parked, and then the car stopped running and
- 22:28Speaker 2: then she got out of the car and was walking
- 22:29Speaker 2: the dog and then the police came and then they
- 22:32Speaker 2: realized that she was intoxicated and she got a DUI.
- 22:36Speaker 2: So now people are wondering, was that rumor of her
- 22:39Speaker 2: talking about Alexis Bellino, did it have anything to do
- 22:42Speaker 2: with that? She suspected that Alexis Bellino and John Jansen
- 22:47Speaker 2: were more than friends or acquaintances. Shortly after that, they
- 22:51Speaker 2: were seen at the Quiet Woman in a group setting,
- 22:55Speaker 2: but they were sitting next to each other. And now
- 22:57Speaker 2: People has confirmed they are, in fact, dating. And I
- 23:02Speaker 2: don't know if it's confirmed that Alexis Bellino is coming
- 23:05Speaker 2: back to the show, but Tamara, who... Was best friends
- 23:11Speaker 2: with Shannon, then not best friends with her when she
- 23:13Speaker 2: was on the show, then became best friends again. And
- 23:15Speaker 2: then Tamara, Vicki, and Shannon did the Trace Amigos comedy show.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Yes.
- 23:21Speaker 2: At the Irvine Improv and at the Tempe Improv where
- 23:23Speaker 2: they wore mariachi outfits and sang the song. You saw
- 23:30Speaker 2: the video?
- 23:31Speaker 5: I saw it.
- 23:31Speaker 2: We are here to whoop it up. It's what we got.
- 23:36Speaker 2: We're the Tres Amigas. Anyway, they sold out. People wanted
- 23:40Speaker 2: to come, and it was fun, and it was great.
- 23:43Speaker 2: But now, Tamara said, when I was at the variety
- 23:46Speaker 2: thing last week for Reality Show Women, she said on
- 23:49Speaker 2: the red carpet, I'm not speaking to Shannon. And she
- 23:54Speaker 2: also took a photo with Alexis Bellino. So now Tamara
- 23:58Speaker 2: is hanging out with Alexis Bellino. Shannon feels like, oh,
- 24:01Speaker 2: my gosh. And Alexis's ex-husband, Jim Bellino, sued Tamara, Shannon,
- 24:14Speaker 2: and myself. Which I cannot talk about the results of that.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Okay.
- 24:18Speaker 2: But that is a fact.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Well, if you write it down, I'll talk about it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Well, no. That is a fact. It is all over.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:25Speaker 2: It is all settled over for all three of us.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I remember that story.
- 24:28Speaker 5: That's right.
- 24:28Speaker 2: But not that Alexis had something to do with it
- 24:31Speaker 2: because they were going through a divorce at the time.
- 24:34Speaker 2: That's not her fault.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 24:35Speaker 5: But.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I mean, this is going to get people watching Real
- 24:40Speaker 2: Housewives of OC. I know I won't be missing an episode.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 2: But my God. Or, or is Tamara realizing that doing
- 24:52Speaker 2: gigs at improvs across the country is not.
- 24:55Speaker 5: What it's cracked up to be?
- 24:58Speaker 2: And she was like, how the fuck do I get
- 25:01Speaker 2: out of the Tres Amigas tour with Vicky? And also,
- 25:05Speaker 2: when you split it, I was like, okay, we know
- 25:07Speaker 2: what we make on the.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Road, right?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Even if they sell out VIP. And merch. You've got
- 25:12Speaker 2: three people, and then you've got another guy coming to
- 25:14Speaker 2: interview them. Then you have hair and makeup, which we
- 25:18Speaker 2: do our own, but they don't.
- 25:21Speaker 5: And hotel, flights, everything.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. Irvine makes sense to go, okay?
- 25:30Speaker 2: You can only do Irvine once a year. Anytime else
- 25:32Speaker 2: you have to get on a plane with multiple people,
- 25:35Speaker 2: it is not a huge moneymaker. And so I think
- 25:40Speaker 2: it was a lot of things.
- 25:41Speaker 5: And maybe he won't let Teddy in.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I heard that, too. She wouldn't let Teddy come. So
- 25:46Speaker 2: that means you've got to have security.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Your own security.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Because the improv has their own security, but you've got
- 25:53Speaker 5: to have special no-Teddy security.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:56Speaker 5: And you can't hire from Teddy's husband's company security.
- 25:59Speaker 2: You've got to find another.
- 26:00Speaker 5: So they're going to gouge you. So that's a lot
- 26:02Speaker 5: of money. They've got a lot of overhead.
- 26:03Speaker 2: They have a lot of overhead. So maybe Tamara's just like, look.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I don't even care. I just want to get out
- 26:08Speaker 2: of the trance. I don't know the truth. I have
- 26:10Speaker 2: no insight. I'm watching this as I see it. But
- 26:14Speaker 2: then I heard from somebody else who said, I heard
- 26:17Speaker 2: from Alexis myself. Now, this is a DM. Doesn't mean
- 26:21Speaker 2: it's true. That this is blown out of proportion and
- 26:26Speaker 2: it's not a serious thing. Here's what I'll tell you.
- 26:28Speaker 2: It's not a serious relationship between her and John.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Well, here's what I know. This is because I'm not.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I love your explanation caught me completely up. And I
- 26:36Speaker 5: know enough about the Bravo universe to catch it. But
- 26:40Speaker 5: no one is a rube anymore. When I first did,
- 26:44Speaker 5: I did one of the first reality TV shows, Last
- 26:46Speaker 5: Comic Standing, where we had to live in the house.
- 26:49Speaker 5: And I watched it like, yay, at the beginning. And
- 26:52Speaker 5: then by the time the editing and we were into
- 26:54Speaker 5: the finals, I was hiding in my house with the
- 26:57Speaker 5: curtains pulled and no lights on because I didn't know
- 27:00Speaker 5: what kind of edit I was going to get. These
- 27:03Speaker 5: people are so savvy. They know that sitting next to
- 27:06Speaker 5: each other is either a statement or a storyline. So
- 27:11Speaker 5: none of this is by accident. This is either it's
- 27:14Speaker 5: real where there's smoke, there's fire, or it's a real
- 27:17Speaker 5: for the TV show.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Well, what's interesting is one thing Shanna Bedore constantly said
- 27:23Speaker 2: in the season was she was so upset that Heather
- 27:27Speaker 2: Dubrow and the other women were talking about her relationship.
- 27:31Speaker 2: And she was like, well, you know what? Now that
- 27:32Speaker 2: you've talked about it, it's done. It's not just taking
- 27:34Speaker 2: off her mic. It's done. John Jansen's going to break
- 27:36Speaker 2: up with me. My life is over, but it's fine.
- 27:38Speaker 2: It's fine. My life is over. My relationship's over. It's fine.
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's fine. It's fine. And the women, like Emily and stuff,
- 27:43Speaker 2: were like... You spread the rumors about yourself. You talked
- 27:48Speaker 2: about it to every single one of us late at night.
- 27:52Speaker 2: And so you put it out there. And then what?
- 27:54Speaker 2: We're not supposed to talk to each other when you've... Like,
- 27:56Speaker 2: have you ever had a friend that's like, do not
- 27:58Speaker 2: tell a soul, do not tell a soul, and you
- 28:01Speaker 2: don't tell a soul, and it's real juicy shit. And
- 28:03Speaker 2: then like six months later, you're sitting and you realize...
- 28:07Speaker 2: that she told all three of you the same thing.
- 28:09Speaker 2: And you're like, we could have been fucking talking about this. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 2: for sure. Like, what? Like, we missed out on all
- 28:15Speaker 2: of this. We could have analyzed and discussed it. Basically,
- 28:17Speaker 2: that's what happened. And they're like, this is a reality show.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And whether you tell us late at night on the
- 28:22Speaker 2: phone or whatever, it's out there. And we did discuss it.
- 28:26Speaker 2: But you discussed it. You shared all this stuff late
- 28:29Speaker 2: night on the phones and don't remember what you're saying
- 28:31Speaker 2: because whatever reason. And so, but she goes, but he's
- 28:34Speaker 2: a very private person. He's a very private person. That's
- 28:37Speaker 2: what she'd say on the show. But then what would
- 28:39Speaker 2: be frustrating is that Heather Dubrow, I remember, would say, well,
- 28:45Speaker 2: she told me that he loves the limelight. He loves
- 28:48Speaker 2: being on TV. And I don't think that's a negative thing.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I think if you're a reality star and you find
- 28:54Speaker 2: a guy like a Louis who is with Teresa, he's
- 28:59Speaker 2: very comfortable there.
- 29:00Speaker 5: He likes it.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 2: It doesn't mean he doesn't love her. It means that
- 29:03Speaker 2: she found a good match that's going to go to
- 29:05Speaker 2: the shit with her and be there with bells on.
- 29:08Speaker 2: It doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Just as long as he doesn't wear red, because then
- 29:11Speaker 5: you won't be able to find Louis. He's gone. And
- 29:14Speaker 5: I don't care what you say. You can write me.
- 29:17Speaker 5: You can't. Listen, as beautiful as Teresa is, she can't
- 29:20Speaker 5: find someone to powder him. I mean, good Christ.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Well, I think that... I think it's hard to find
- 29:28Speaker 2: a guy that's willing to do this stuff. But I
- 29:33Speaker 2: think that there's another theory. She's a beautiful girl, she's
- 29:37Speaker 2: very attractive. Okay. And she has a nice personality. She
- 29:41Speaker 2: has a nice personality and I'm sure they get along
- 29:44Speaker 2: and met or whatever. And so it could be a
- 29:48Speaker 2: real thing or, or if she is Now, she had
- 29:53Speaker 2: an engagement after her divorce. She had an engagement with
- 29:56Speaker 2: a guy for a number of years.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Okay.
- 29:59Speaker 2: She was with him and then engaged. They broke up
- 30:01Speaker 2: just recently. And they went on below deck together and stuff. So,
- 30:04Speaker 2: she no longer is married and she no longer has
- 30:07Speaker 2: the fiancé. Okay. And I don't know what his finances were,
- 30:11Speaker 2: but she's single.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:13Speaker 5: She meets John Jansen. The Harry Dubin of the OC.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Exactly. Okay. Or the Slade Smiley or whatever of yesteryear.
- 30:21Speaker 2: But now Slade's been with Gretchen for 10 years or whatever. But,
- 30:24Speaker 2: you know, does she, is she savvy enough? To see him,
- 30:30Speaker 2: have a little conversation with him and flirt and go,
- 30:33Speaker 2: I wonder if this could be more because knowing it
- 30:36Speaker 2: doesn't take a genius to realize. If I start dating
- 30:39Speaker 2: Shannon Bedore's ex-boyfriend and they're even remotely thinking about bringing
- 30:44Speaker 2: me back, which they were. Yeah. I am back in
- 30:49Speaker 2: even if this... is a short lived thing. I'm back.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Even if it ended tomorrow and they start filming three
- 30:56Speaker 2: weeks later, there's going to be so much shit that
- 31:00Speaker 2: they can talk about that happened in the two weeks
- 31:03Speaker 2: of them dating that will fill up the months of
- 31:07Speaker 2: juicy conversations at Nobu. Oh, for sure.
- 31:10Speaker 5: And look, I mean, I think that if it, let's
- 31:12Speaker 5: just pretend that he does like the limelight, but maybe
- 31:15Speaker 5: Shannon was saying, I don't want to talk about it
- 31:18Speaker 5: because she wasn't sure if he really liked her.
- 31:20Speaker 2: For her. Right.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Maybe she thought he was using her for the limelight.
- 31:24Speaker 5: And then now he's with Alexis. But Alexis is gorgeous, too.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 5: So who knows? I mean, I love when these there's
- 31:31Speaker 5: nobody else in these towns. I mean, when they kept
- 31:34Speaker 5: bringing Harry Dubin, they keep bringing this guy. There's nobody else.
- 31:38Speaker 5: The Southern Charm people, they keep sleeping with each other.
- 31:42Speaker 5: There's nobody else left. You're not on an island. This
- 31:45Speaker 5: is not like, this isn't Love Island.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I think it is.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Can't you ship people in maybe?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Well, I think that is kind of the thing with,
- 31:55Speaker 2: you know, with the Vanderpump Rules. It was like, I
- 31:58Speaker 2: felt that Raquel, Rachel Raquel. And I can't remember, what
- 32:04Speaker 2: was her original name?
- 32:05Speaker 5: No, Rachel. And we knew her as Raquel, but she's
- 32:08Speaker 5: back to Rachel.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Okay. Okay, so we'll call Rachel. But even before she
- 32:14Speaker 2: landed on Tom Sandoval, after she broke up with DJ
- 32:19Speaker 2: James Kennedy.
- 32:20Speaker 5: That just sounds like she parachuted out of a thing
- 32:22Speaker 5: and just fell right on his dick. Like, she just literally,
- 32:26Speaker 5: I just picture her holding the thing with those goofy
- 32:29Speaker 5: glasses that they got her.
- 32:31Speaker 2: First she floated over towards Peter, the manager.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Then she floated over.
- 32:35Speaker 5: She's got her glasses.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Then she floated over to Garcelle's son.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Oh, good. And then she went all the way down.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Remember those Gucci sunglasses they gave her in the tent?
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:46Speaker 5: And then she just got down and now she's on
- 32:50Speaker 5: top of Tom.
- 32:52Speaker 2: But I kind of was like, now she's only pursuing
- 32:54Speaker 2: people that have a mic pack on. Yes, and now.
- 32:56Speaker 5: She's with Bethany.
- 32:58Speaker 2: So, yeah.
- 33:00Speaker 5: You see, this happens.
- 33:01Speaker 2: It happens, yeah. Everybody thinks about a dream vacation. I
- 33:06Speaker 2: want to get away. Where am I going to go? Skiing,
- 33:08Speaker 2: the beach. I don't know. Well, don't miss your chance

- 33:20Speaker 2: the best gifts for yourself and everyone on your list.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I've talked about their fast fix for healthy hair, and
- 33:26Speaker 2: that is the hair oil. I really feel this is
- 33:29Speaker 2: for everyone. It is a multitasking oil. It smooths the frizz.
- 33:33Speaker 2: It seals my split ends. It gives me high gloss
- 33:36Speaker 2: and a smooth finish, which I love. Also, for those
- 33:40Speaker 2: on the naughty list, you want to try that leave-in conditioner.
- 33:43Speaker 2: That is really great for all hair types. Also, I
- 33:46Speaker 2: love their detox shampoo. I really love doing this because
- 33:49Speaker 2: this is what cleans the built-up product. I use, you know,
- 33:53Speaker 2: a lot of thickeners and I use dry shampoo and
- 33:57Speaker 2: I use a bunch of stuff like that. And I
- 33:59Speaker 2: really feel like I love to get that deep clean
- 34:03Speaker 2: and that detox shampoo from Ouai really does it. Don't

- 35:48Speaker 2: have a little history with some of the cast here.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Why don't you tell?
- 35:52Speaker 5: Full disclosure, I'm friends with Margaret. I love her. I
- 35:55Speaker 5: love her, what she stands for.
- 35:58Speaker 2: I love her, too. I like her a lot, too.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I love her lines.
- 36:00Speaker 5: I love her relationship with her husband, her mother. She's
- 36:03Speaker 5: just a good person. If you called Margaret and said,
- 36:05Speaker 5: I had nowhere to stay, she would find a place
- 36:07Speaker 5: for you to stay. Yeah. I know Melissa because of
- 36:12Speaker 5: Joe Gorga. Joe was doing stand-up, and I got a
- 36:17Speaker 5: call about sitting and writing with Joe, and we tried,
- 36:21Speaker 5: and we did a couple shows together, and Joe does
- 36:23Speaker 5: his own thing. And Joe is fully Joey on stage.
- 36:26Speaker 2: He's Joey Gorga.
- 36:28Speaker 5: And, you know, he just really– I think he's a
- 36:31Speaker 5: great guy. I think they're a good couple. I just
- 36:34Speaker 5: think that he comes at things– I know a million–
- 36:37Speaker 5: if you grew up in an Italian neighborhood or if
- 36:39Speaker 5: you grew up around Italians, there's a million Joey Gorgas
- 36:43Speaker 5: who just want to be– they just want to have fun.
- 36:45Speaker 5: They just want to all love, eat. He wants to
- 36:47Speaker 5: show off his hot wife.
- 36:49Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 5: I mean, that's it.
- 36:51Speaker 2: It's like typical.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 5: I mean, I used to know Jacqueline. I used to
- 36:55Speaker 5: know– I did a show with– The Caroline Manzo I did.
- 37:03Speaker 5: I don't know any of the new ones. The young
- 37:04Speaker 5: ones I love. They're so cute. They're feisty.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Do you think that there's any help for Teresa and
- 37:14Speaker 2: Joe Gorga to make amends?
- 37:16Speaker 5: No, not right now. Not as long as Louie's in
- 37:18Speaker 5: the picture. just from, you know, and I don't know
- 37:22Speaker 5: that from him. I just, in my, as a Sicilian,
- 37:26Speaker 5: there are people that they don't talk to for decades.
- 37:29Speaker 5: We are huge at not speaking. I'll never forget my
- 37:32Speaker 5: grandfather died and my mother stood in the doorway between
- 37:36Speaker 5: the kitchen and the living room between his brother and sister,
- 37:40Speaker 5: my two great, my great aunt and my great uncle,
- 37:42Speaker 5: because they weren't speaking. So, but she didn't want to
- 37:45Speaker 5: offend either one. So she stood in the middle. so
- 37:48Speaker 5: she could give them both equality. We're a culture that
- 37:51Speaker 5: is crazy based on respect and disrespect. And once you
- 37:57Speaker 5: feel so disrespected, and I think that having Melissa in
- 38:01Speaker 5: the mix really probably threw Teresa off. We come from
- 38:05Speaker 5: a culture that you were, you know, like the OnlyFans.
- 38:08Speaker 5: You're never going to see any of these broads on
- 38:10Speaker 5: the OnlyFans, at least none of the OGs, you know,
- 38:13Speaker 5: the older ones. Because we come from you know, a
- 38:17Speaker 5: lady in the streets and a freak in a sheet,
- 38:19Speaker 5: you can be whatever you want, but they're not going
- 38:20Speaker 5: to do, they're not going to do like Leah McSweeney
- 38:25Speaker 5: with her.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Oh, I have a photo of her.
- 38:26Speaker 6: Hold on.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Her bunghole hanging out.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Wait, here we go. This is her, this is her page.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I love it from the back. Leah McSweeney, just to
- 38:36Speaker 2: remind you guys, she was on Real Housewives of New
- 38:38Speaker 2: York for two seasons. She participated in the reality reckoning
- 38:43Speaker 2: variety article that went nowhere and And so then she
- 38:47Speaker 2: joined OnlyFans and bragged about how she made more in
- 38:53Speaker 2: one week on OnlyFans than she did on Real Housewives.
- 38:56Speaker 2: And I don't mean to be a bitch, but that's
- 38:58Speaker 2: actually nothing to brag about. Because the people I know,
- 39:01Speaker 2: the people that we hear about that make a lot
- 39:03Speaker 2: on OnlyFans, it's not worth bragging about unless you make
- 39:07Speaker 2: over $ 100, 000.
- 39:07Speaker 5: See your kid's backpack right there? You know, all that
- 39:11Speaker 5: money you're going to have to save for therapy. That's it.
- 39:14Speaker 5: That's her kid's backpack right there. Listen, there's a lot
- 39:19Speaker 5: of young ones I love.
- 39:21Speaker 2: I think the Leah McSweeney story, her life story, is
- 39:27Speaker 2: pretty depressing. She's not going to like me saying this, but...
- 39:30Speaker 2: hopefully she doesn't listen to Juicy Scope. Because, you know,
- 39:35Speaker 2: so she struggled with drugs and with alcohol.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:39Speaker 2: She got something happened where somehow she was drunk or arrested. Anyway,
- 39:45Speaker 2: she fell. She sued NYPD. And she got enough money
- 39:50Speaker 2: to start the married to the mob sweatshirt fashion.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Cute clothing line.
- 39:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:55Speaker 5: It was cute. I mean, listen, before anybody else was
- 39:57Speaker 5: doing it.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Okay, fine. She got that. She has a daughter. Seems
- 40:01Speaker 2: like a delight. And then she gets on the show.
- 40:05Speaker 2: And she's like, I was sober all these years, but
- 40:08Speaker 2: now I'm going to drink. So we see her drunk
- 40:10Speaker 2: for the first season. Then she's like, now I'm sober
- 40:13Speaker 2: and I'm converting from Catholicism to Judaism.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 40:16Speaker 2: And just, I think just to piss off the mom,
- 40:18Speaker 2: but whatever she goes to be. And now, and then
- 40:22Speaker 2: she thinks that she's, she's suing Bravo or whatever about they,
- 40:28Speaker 2: she's suing for the American disabilities act. She's saying that they,
- 40:33Speaker 2: this is all my understanding. And I, I am not
- 40:35Speaker 2: saying everything I say is factual. So relax. But that
- 40:39Speaker 2: what I remember reading is that she's suing saying because
- 40:43Speaker 2: she was bipolar and they didn't act properly. That's the
- 40:48Speaker 2: stance the attorneys are taking. Meanwhile, she joins OnlyFans and
- 40:52Speaker 2: she says, I made more. Now, my understanding is when
- 40:55Speaker 2: you're in the first couple years of Housewives, you don't
- 40:58Speaker 2: make a lot, maybe $ 6, 000 an episode. So she made $ 6, 000
- 41:02Speaker 2: in a week. I know that is a lot to
- 41:04Speaker 2: the average American, but that is not, you're killing it
- 41:08Speaker 2: on OnlyFans.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Well, it's not in New York anyway, by the way.
- 41:10Speaker 2: But it's not, you're killing it on OnlyFans. You're not.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 41:15Speaker 5: Listen, I would like her to win as a person.
- 41:17Speaker 2: But I just think this photo, like, I cannot believe
- 41:20Speaker 2: that this is what she posted.
- 41:23Speaker 5: What's bizarre to me is that.
- 41:25Speaker 2: And that's for $ 15.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know. Is it really her? Does anybody
- 41:30Speaker 5: know that?
- 41:31Speaker 7: You know what?
- 41:32Speaker 2: I don't know. I did see this around. It could
- 41:35Speaker 2: have been. You know what? Let me know. I know
- 41:39Speaker 2: she joined OnlyFans. If this was mocked up, I will
- 41:43Speaker 2: do a correction on Tuesday.
- 41:45Speaker 5: Only because there's a couple apps that can take the
- 41:47Speaker 5: background out to at least make that... Listen, I saw.
- 41:52Speaker 2: This several places, so I kind of would be surprised.
- 41:55Speaker 5: She's gorgeous. She's a beautiful girl. She had a great personality.
- 41:59Speaker 2: And she's like, this is empowering to me. So good.
- 42:02Speaker 2: You know what? You're right. And she's probably like, I'd
- 42:05Speaker 2: rather do this. I'm not going to get on another
- 42:07Speaker 2: reality show, and I don't want to. What other job
- 42:11Speaker 2: can I get that can make this if I've been
- 42:13Speaker 2: banned from reality TV? But I do feel like, is
- 42:16Speaker 2: that all there is, just being a reality star or OnlyFans? Like,
- 42:19Speaker 2: there's no other skills worth trying to do.
- 42:22Speaker 5: As a woman? You and I both, we probably were
- 42:24Speaker 5: there at the same time. I used to go over
- 42:26Speaker 5: to the Playboy Mansion on Sundays. to do the movies
- 42:30Speaker 5: and the stuff. We would do the pool in the
- 42:32Speaker 5: day and movies at night, right? And I could go
- 42:36Speaker 5: to some of the parties. It was fun. And half
- 42:39Speaker 5: a few, listen, they changed the, trampolines. They pulled them
- 42:44Speaker 5: out of there because of me, because I'm the one
- 42:46Speaker 5: who really fell off the trampoline.
- 42:47Speaker 2: You did? What happened?
- 42:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I got drop kicked by one of the broads
- 42:51Speaker 5: because she didn't like what I said during the show.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Wait, go back and tell the story. It's a real story.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Tell the story.
- 42:56Speaker 5: I used it in my act early on.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Well, I'd like to hear it.
- 42:58Speaker 5: They used to come to the comedy store all the time.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Half and the girls.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Half and the girls. And then he had a big
- 43:04Speaker 5: golf outing and he wanted me to be the headliner
- 43:07Speaker 5: for it.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 43:09Speaker 5: So we all did a show and then Only a
- 43:11Speaker 5: few of us could go back to the party. It
- 43:13Speaker 5: was one of the first times that I really.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Kind of went. Approximately what year is this? So I
- 43:19Speaker 2: used to.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Go before I was a comic in 2000 and like 2000, 2001.
- 43:23Speaker 5: But when I fell off the trampoline, it was before
- 43:29Speaker 5: I ever did any Tonight Show or anything. So I'd
- 43:31Speaker 5: say it was 2003. Okay. And I got drunk. And
- 43:38Speaker 5: when I get drunk, that's why I don't drink because
- 43:40Speaker 5: I call myself Terry Pescatelli. I don't know who I am.
- 43:43Speaker 5: I'm like a crazy person. And I said this, I'm
- 43:46Speaker 5: a tough broad. I'm an athlete's daughter. I grew up
- 43:50Speaker 5: with all boys. So I'm like competitive, like, okay, let's
- 43:53Speaker 5: do backflips. Let's do gymnastics. I was a cheerleader. Let's
- 43:56Speaker 5: do this. And this girl apparently didn't like one of
- 43:58Speaker 5: the things because I used to talk about in my
- 44:00Speaker 5: act class and dignity. And They had offered me Funny
- 44:06Speaker 5: Women of Playboy in the, like, the 90s.
- 44:08Speaker 2: I remember that. I remember being in my parents' bedroom,
- 44:13Speaker 2: because I think my dad always had a subscription, and
- 44:17Speaker 2: seeing Funny Women of Comedy. And who was the girl?
- 44:19Speaker 5: So it was Felicia Michaels. It was Margaret Cho. It was,
- 44:25Speaker 5: who did Madonna Date, allegedly?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 44:30Speaker 5: And she's a great actress. Sandra Bernhardt.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:33Speaker 5: I don't remember who else.
- 44:34Speaker 2: No, there was Rhonda. Rhonda Shear. Rhonda Shear.
- 44:37Speaker 5: So I, they had offered.
- 44:39Speaker 2: I don't think it was Margaret Cho.
- 44:41Speaker 6: I think.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I feel like this was a little bit of a
- 44:43Speaker 2: little older than Margaret because Margaret's like my age. I
- 44:47Speaker 2: do not think it was Margaret Cho. No way.
- 44:49Speaker 5: It was 1995.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I'll tell you this. At 1995, there's no way it
- 44:52Speaker 2: was Margaret Cho. Okay. But all those other names, I
- 44:55Speaker 2: believe you're correct. I definitely remember Rhonda Shearer.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Here's what I know for me. 1995, I get a
- 45:03Speaker 5: call saying they're interested in you. Now, I've been doing
- 45:06Speaker 5: comedy professionally one year.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:09Speaker 6: One year.
- 45:10Speaker 5: I left the radio station. I'm like, they offered me $ 25, 000. What?
- 45:17Speaker 5: I hadn't even made $ 25, 000 the year before being a
- 45:20Speaker 5: full-time comic. But I'm a good Catholic girl. My father
- 45:26Speaker 5: was there. My brothers, I thought, how would they react?
- 45:29Speaker 5: My brother's playing college football. There's their sister. And beyond that,
- 45:34Speaker 5: in my brain, now this is where the difference lies.
- 45:36Speaker 5: This is why I probably don't have a better career.
- 45:39Speaker 5: I kept thinking, I don't want anybody to think I
- 45:43Speaker 5: got ahead by showing my tits. Like I didn't. A
- 45:47Speaker 5: lot of young women now are so smart with it.
- 45:50Speaker 5: Like they always make a man feel like they're on
- 45:52Speaker 5: the precipice of a blowjob and then it moves things further,
- 45:56Speaker 5: you know, but I didn't want that. I wanted people
- 45:59Speaker 5: to just see me on my merit.
- 46:01Speaker 2: What a dummy.
- 46:02Speaker 5: I should have really just Plus, it would be nice
- 46:04Speaker 5: to have the pictures of that body because I had
- 46:07Speaker 5: real 34 full cup C. I mean, I still had
- 46:11Speaker 5: this nose. Let's not pretend. But that was my whole joke.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Like if I'd had plastic surgery, don't you think I'd
- 46:16Speaker 5: have had my nose fixed first? I wish I would
- 46:18Speaker 5: have had that body.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Well, I remember seeing that magazine. I just really remember Rhonda.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Who then went on– she was a stand-up, but then
- 46:26Speaker 2: she went on to make a ton of money like
- 46:28Speaker 2: on QVC.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 5: Told me I should– I did one show with her
- 46:31Speaker 5: in Vegas. We had to wear– it was a pajama
- 46:34Speaker 5: jammy jam.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Yes, I remember that.
- 46:35Speaker 5: And I wouldn't– I wore like big old fartsy pajamas,
- 46:40Speaker 5: you know, the kind like you wear with the hot
- 46:42Speaker 5: cocoa and Christmas.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, she was trying to do the sexy, funny thing.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 2: But I remember seeing that and I, you know, now
- 46:50Speaker 2: I was 25. If it was around then or maybe this.
- 46:54Speaker 5: Same age, right? Yeah.
- 46:56Speaker 2: And I was like, I thought it was great. And
- 46:59Speaker 2: I was like, oh, my God, I think I would
- 47:01Speaker 2: do this. Because I want to say they weren't totally naked.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Were they completely naked?
- 47:06Speaker 5: Everything for me to get to 25 grand, you had
- 47:09Speaker 5: to be completely naked. And it just didn't. I didn't.
- 47:12Speaker 5: I just literally didn't.
- 47:14Speaker 2: It didn't.
- 47:14Speaker 5: There was a big difference when I grew up that
- 47:17Speaker 5: we slut shamed a lot. Like it just was what
- 47:20Speaker 5: it was.
- 47:20Speaker 2: It was different. We just did. We can't even say
- 47:22Speaker 2: the word slutty now. You just say sex positive. Yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 5: Like we did.
- 47:25Speaker 2: You could fuck every guy on the football team and
- 47:27Speaker 2: it would be like, you know what? She is so
- 47:29Speaker 2: sex positive. How great that she's owning her vagina. But
- 47:32Speaker 2: in our day, you were a big old slut.
- 47:34Speaker 5: And you could do it. You just had to be
- 47:35Speaker 5: quiet about it. You couldn't tell anybody. You could do
- 47:38Speaker 5: it on the sly. So I didn't do it. But
- 47:42Speaker 5: then he just, I don't know if he kept, I
- 47:44Speaker 5: think he was just fascinated by no. Okay. And then,
- 47:48Speaker 5: you know, I think that sometimes when you're funny and
- 47:50Speaker 5: you're confident, I've always known who I am.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Wait, get back to the trampoline.
- 47:53Speaker 5: So that's what I'm saying. So he would have me
- 47:54Speaker 5: be at these parties.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:55Speaker 5: So I'm at the party and have really liked me,
- 47:59Speaker 5: but not in that way.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Not in a sexual way.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 48:01Speaker 5: I'm not blonde.
- 48:02Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 48:02Speaker 5: But he got a kick out of me.
- 48:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Like a lot of. Like a dad. Yeah.
- 48:06Speaker 5: Like he would, like all the old, you know, when
- 48:09Speaker 5: he had a. All those guys.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Came in there. James Caan. Yeah. And come over and.
- 48:14Speaker 5: Say, Tom, can you believe this one's with tits like that?
- 48:17Speaker 5: She's a comic. And I just go, you know what
- 48:20Speaker 5: I mean? Like, hi. My dad loves you. So she
- 48:26Speaker 5: got mad because I used to do these jokes about like,
- 48:30Speaker 5: just because you get your, it's old. Just because you
- 48:33Speaker 5: get your boobs done doesn't mean you have to show everybody.
- 48:36Speaker 5: And then you're going to cry because. When you can't
- 48:38Speaker 5: find a good man, you're gonna be like, I can't
- 48:39Speaker 5: find a good man. And the joke was, yeah, because
- 48:41Speaker 5: you're a whore. Again, 2000, like way back then, those times.
- 48:46Speaker 2: And I.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Guess I upset her. And I was like, hey, look
- 48:51Speaker 5: at me. And Eleanor Kerrigan was there from the comedy story.
- 48:54Speaker 5: And now she's, I'm like, hey, look at me. And
- 48:56Speaker 5: this girl comes and drop kicks me, right? How do
- 48:59Speaker 5: you drop kick?
- 49:00Speaker 2: She kicked you?
- 49:01Speaker 5: Yeah, like flying Walenda, like right into me, like in
- 49:06Speaker 5: a WWE. And I went flying off and rolled down
- 49:10Speaker 5: the hill. And it was by where the peacocks were, right?
- 49:14Speaker 5: And I was drunk. You have to remember, I'm also drunk.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:17Speaker 5: And I'm stuck in the mud. I'm 25. I'm like,
- 49:20Speaker 5: I think I'm. And no, at that time, I'm not 25.
- 49:24Speaker 5: At that time, I'm 32. The 25 was when they
- 49:26Speaker 5: offered me that. So I rolled really well. But then
- 49:29Speaker 5: I couldn't walk for three days. And then the joke was,
- 49:31Speaker 5: you can talk about class and self-respect and dignity all
- 49:34Speaker 5: you want. But when you can't walk, After going to
- 49:37Speaker 5: a party at the Playboy Mansion for three days, nobody
- 49:39Speaker 5: believes it has anything to do with an unfortunate trampoline accident.
- 49:43Speaker 2: That's good.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Yeah, but then they pulled the trampoline. It's all my
- 49:47Speaker 5: fault because he was afraid I was going to sue him.
- 49:49Speaker 5: I still have the card from the flowers he sent me.
- 49:52Speaker 5: And it said, you're classy, broad, hope your back feels better.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Interesting that it was about a trampoline fear of being
- 49:57Speaker 2: sued about trampolines.
- 49:58Speaker 5: Well, because somebody else would have sued him.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Well, it all goes back to... Real Housewives of OC,
- 50:04Speaker 2: there's a whole... My people know what I'm talking about.
- 50:06Speaker 2: I'm not even going to mention it. Looking back... It
- 50:08Speaker 2: has to do with this a little bit. There's so
- 50:10Speaker 2: much history here. Okay.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Well.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Okay. So.
- 50:13Speaker 5: So, anyway.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Boy, that was the tangent. I'm sorry. No, but I
- 50:18Speaker 2: love hearing the Italian thing because when the Melissa, Joe,
- 50:23Speaker 2: and Teresa riff of the wedding and all that stuff,
- 50:26Speaker 2: we would talk about it. And I have, through marriage...
- 50:32Speaker 2: knew of an East Coast Italian family. And I'm like,
- 50:34Speaker 2: is this an East Coast Italian way of dealing with
- 50:39Speaker 2: stuff that is different than the Irish way.
- 50:42Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 50:43Speaker 2: I feel like, you know, different than the Jewish way,
- 50:46Speaker 2: different than that, like, you know what I mean? Culturally
- 50:48Speaker 2: different than the Mexican way. Like, and I think that's
- 50:51Speaker 2: what's so interesting about America. But I also think families
- 50:54Speaker 2: deal with with stuff differently. They deal with the dysfunction differently.
- 50:58Speaker 5: Yes. And, you know, look, I feel like you should
- 51:01Speaker 5: I should almost stop it like they do football tape.
- 51:05Speaker 5: When that's when it's playing and go, OK, pause. You
- 51:08Speaker 5: see right here. This is when she walks in the
- 51:10Speaker 5: room and she doesn't make eye contact or she did
- 51:12Speaker 5: make it and she just did like this. And then
- 51:14Speaker 5: you're like, oh, my God, you gave me a look
- 51:15Speaker 5: like that. That's why Dolores keeps her mouth shut. That's
- 51:18Speaker 5: why a lot of people were saying, like, Dolores is boring.
- 51:21Speaker 5: That's because she doesn't know what to say, because she's
- 51:23Speaker 5: such a good friend to everybody, probably. And she doesn't
- 51:26Speaker 5: want to tell anybody's business. And there are probably stories.
- 51:30Speaker 5: That would curl your toes that we can't– that we
- 51:33Speaker 5: don't know. You know what I mean?
- 51:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:35Speaker 5: I might know a couple. But that literally you just
- 51:40Speaker 5: can't– you can't say. You know what I mean? And
- 51:42Speaker 5: the other.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Thing, let's remind everybody that Louis– Husband number two, Louis,
- 51:48Speaker 2: he's not Italian.
- 51:50Speaker 5: He's not Italian. He's not Italian.
- 51:52Speaker 2: So, I mean, his interpretation of thing, you know, he's
- 51:54Speaker 2: coming from a different angle, too.
- 51:56Speaker 5: Yeah, he's doing the block. He's blocking. He's doing that
- 51:59Speaker 5: block off. Do you ever see this? Do you see
- 52:01Speaker 5: that big rapper, Nardo, whose security punched out a 14-year-old kid? No,
- 52:07Speaker 5: but— Yeah, because he just came up for an autograph.
- 52:09Speaker 5: That's what Louis is doing. Louis is blocking people and
- 52:12Speaker 5: creating problems. I also think that there's a huge dynamic
- 52:15Speaker 5: between sister-in-laws in an Italian family.
- 52:17Speaker 2: What is that dynamic?
- 52:19Speaker 5: Well, I think Teresa being an original sister, like I'm
- 52:24Speaker 5: the— my brother, I mean, I talk about in my act now,
- 52:27Speaker 5: my brother, he's been married four or five times. There's
- 52:31Speaker 5: constantly drama. If there was a reality show at our
- 52:34Speaker 5: house with him in it with his wives, it literally
- 52:38Speaker 5: I would seem like the craziest person in the world
- 52:41Speaker 5: because it's the conversation that he tells them. He tells
- 52:45Speaker 5: them all the resentment of all the years and all
- 52:49Speaker 5: the stuff. So I think that the you know, I
- 52:51Speaker 5: think I think Teresa was like the queen and she
- 52:55Speaker 5: didn't tell her parents she did anything wrong. Everything was Teresa, Teresa, Teresa.
- 52:59Speaker 5: And then Joe probably, you know, he's the little brother
- 53:01Speaker 5: and this beautiful girl comes in. And I mean, God bless,
- 53:05Speaker 5: you know, Teresa's beautiful. But her hairline was not where
- 53:10Speaker 5: it is now. When she first came on, she looked
- 53:13Speaker 5: like she'd just come off the boat from Italy. Like
- 53:16Speaker 5: when we used to laugh when my cousins would come
- 53:19Speaker 5: from Italy, we used to have to Americanize them. You
- 53:21Speaker 5: had to do it. everybody had to get waxed and
- 53:23Speaker 5: shaved and, you know, pressed out. That's how it worked originally.
- 53:27Speaker 5: Now they're beautiful in the, in the fashion and everything
- 53:30Speaker 5: comes from there first. But I think there was just constant. Look,
- 53:34Speaker 5: I mean, instead of the, we didn't also remember. That's
- 53:37Speaker 5: the thing. Like I love, I love Paige DeSorbo and Hannah,
- 53:42Speaker 5: their giggly squad and all that stuff, because that's a
- 53:44Speaker 5: culture they're learning to embrace each other and, and lift
- 53:49Speaker 5: women up. Look, Heather, Heather, We're friends, but we chose
- 53:52Speaker 5: to be friends. I guarantee you there were gigs that
- 53:56Speaker 5: you and I both don't know that it was either
- 53:58Speaker 5: going to be me or you. That's how it was.
- 54:00Speaker 5: We were not allowed to be friends with other women.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Our generation was a constant competition.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Because it was only going to be one of us.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I've said that too.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Like if there was a lineup at the comedy store
- 54:12Speaker 2: or the improv, there's 10 comics of the night. There's
- 54:16Speaker 2: going to be seven white guys- one or two black
- 54:22Speaker 2: guys and one woman. And that's it. That was the
- 54:25Speaker 2: demographic every night. Right. So it would be very rare
- 54:31Speaker 2: that there'd be even two women on the bill the night.
- 54:34Speaker 2: So one thing that made sense was when some people
- 54:39Speaker 2: would start to just produce their own shows, like Pretty
- 54:41Speaker 2: Funny Women with Lisa Sunstead and start doing stuff like
- 54:44Speaker 2: that because at least we could all be on the
- 54:46Speaker 2: show together, you know, and get a spot.
- 54:49Speaker 5: They never put you on the road on the road. Never, never, never, never.
- 54:54Speaker 5: It was always, I was the only girl, three, you know,
- 54:56Speaker 5: a headliner, a feature, an emcee, and whatever. I worked
- 55:00Speaker 5: my way all the way up, but it was always
- 55:02Speaker 5: just one woman on the thing.
- 55:04Speaker 2: You guys ready for a lady? Ready for a woman?
- 55:07Speaker 5: I used to hate that. I used to go crazy.
- 55:08Speaker 5: The other thing is that you have to have a
- 55:10Speaker 5: little bit of an ego to be in this industry
- 55:14Speaker 5: or in reality or whatever. And that's not how women
- 55:18Speaker 5: were trained before. To be like, especially coming, look at
- 55:22Speaker 5: our generation, like your mother, my mother, they might've had
- 55:26Speaker 5: great personalities, but they weren't like shoving front runner people.
- 55:30Speaker 2: The other thing culturally too about Italians versus like Irish
- 55:33Speaker 2: Americans or whatever is the gift giving is something that
- 55:40Speaker 2: we did not experience in my family.
- 55:43Speaker 5: Are you saying that because I just gave you some gifts?
- 55:45Speaker 2: She did just give me a gift. She shows up
- 55:47Speaker 2: with two gifts. A bracelet that says trust and earrings. Well,
- 55:51Speaker 2: the earrings. The earrings.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Guess what?
- 55:55Speaker 2: But the gift, the gift giving is lovely. And it's
- 55:59Speaker 2: also can be scrutinized if it's not good enough. Like
- 56:04Speaker 2: for coming to christenings and parties and weddings. And like
- 56:08Speaker 2: I saw from this Italian side of the family. A
- 56:12Speaker 2: lot of discussion and nitpicking and kind of shit talking
- 56:17Speaker 2: if the gift was not.
- 56:19Speaker 5: Up to par. I'm going to send you. I found
- 56:21Speaker 5: some of my grandmother's diaries, which were completely boring. However,
- 56:27Speaker 5: she did have every dollar. Everyone had ever given my father, me,
- 56:33Speaker 5: or my brother. She must have got it from my mother.
- 56:35Speaker 5: So it would be like Aunt Maria.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Gave $ 20 for the fifth birthday. Yeah. Gave $ 40 for
- 56:43Speaker 2: the sixth birthday.
- 56:44Speaker 5: So she could give the exact amount back to those kids.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:50Speaker 5: To whoever was on the.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:51Speaker 5: And then so she could count that she had given...
- 56:55Speaker 5: you know, a certain amount of money to all of the,
- 56:58Speaker 5: for the weddings and they better at least match it
- 57:01Speaker 5: and they better cover their plate. It's a very, it's
- 57:03Speaker 5: a culture that I love and I love every aspect
- 57:07Speaker 5: of it, but I had to deprogram myself. I literally
- 57:09Speaker 5: had to go to therapy to remove, sorry to hit this.
- 57:12Speaker 5: I had to remove, look at, cause that's God trying to,
- 57:15Speaker 5: but I.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Also, I also think that is why the, the, the
- 57:20Speaker 2: real housewives audience is, Is fascinated and confused. Because I
- 57:28Speaker 2: think the answer, to me, my opinion, the answer is
- 57:31Speaker 2: in the culture. The answer is in the culture why
- 57:35Speaker 2: they have their issues. In my opinion. No, it really is.
- 57:38Speaker 2: And then, of course, exasperated by fame. You have the
- 57:42Speaker 2: culture and then you have let's be famous and jealousy
- 57:46Speaker 2: and looks and all of that along with it. And
- 57:51Speaker 2: on reality TV. And it's really hard. To me, live
- 57:54Speaker 2: for and infamy. And when you do go back to
- 57:55Speaker 2: those old episodes, you're like, whoa, you do see differently
- 57:59Speaker 2: as a viewer, too. So I just find it fascinating.
- 58:03Speaker 5: Well, it is fascinating because every Italian, basically, who has
- 58:09Speaker 5: ever been on reality TV has been investigated. What some
- 58:14Speaker 5: got in trouble, Teresa, Mike's situation, the... Gravanos on mob wives.
- 58:25Speaker 5: But look at even me. Do you know that I literally,
- 58:28Speaker 5: since I spoke my truth about people lifting my material
- 58:32Speaker 5: that I've been audited every year for seven years, that's
- 58:35Speaker 5: almost illegal. If they do it one more year, I
- 58:37Speaker 5: can sue the government.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 58:39Speaker 5: They've not found one problem. But ever since I spoke out,
- 58:43Speaker 5: Against like it just so it I think that there's
- 58:46Speaker 5: a tendency that people were not.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Because you spoke out because you because people are lifting
- 58:52Speaker 2: material lifting, meaning taking your jokes, stealing your jokes.
- 58:56Speaker 5: Whether it was in whether it was on purpose or not.
- 58:59Speaker 5: It just got to a certain point. But also Cosby
- 59:01Speaker 5: tried to sue me, too.
- 59:02Speaker 2: That was Bill Cosby did.
- 59:04Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, because I brought him into the whole thing
- 59:06Speaker 5: because I said at least he knocked his victims out
- 59:09Speaker 5: first again. that was way before me too.
- 59:11Speaker 2: And was this before he was even?
- 59:13Speaker 5: Before he was prosecuted. So I got a cease and
- 59:15Speaker 5: desist and everything.
- 59:16Speaker 2: So you said that before. Who was the guy that
- 59:19Speaker 2: got it going?
- 59:22Speaker 5: Right about the same time as.
- 59:26Speaker 2: My friend. What was his name? He starts with a T. No.
- 59:31Speaker 2: It's an H. You're right. Hannibal.
- 59:33Speaker 6: Hannibal. Yeah.
- 59:34Speaker 2: He's my friend. Hannibal... Did a set or it was
- 59:39Speaker 2: his show.
- 59:40Speaker 5: Probably around the same time.
- 59:41Speaker 2: And that's when he was like, and we're just going
- 59:43Speaker 2: to all like to act like this didn't happen. And
- 59:45Speaker 2: that went viral in this day and age, a clip
- 59:47Speaker 2: of it that someone took from the audience. And that
- 59:50Speaker 2: is what truly got him reinvestigated and everything and everybody
- 59:54Speaker 2: coming forward and everybody talking about it.
- 59:57Speaker 5: And right in between there, in the middle of it.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: They were very litigious to the fact that, you know, look,
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: I don't have jello pop. I'm doing this podcast about
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: crime and comedy. And I won't even cover it because
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't have jello pudding money. I can't
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: afford to say the wrong thing. I probably should shut
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: up right now if I had any brains in my head.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: I'd probably just shut up.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Well, I think at this point, you're saying fact now.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: It's all been proven that he has drugged women. Yeah.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: So he was convicted of that. So now you can
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: say it. But when you were saying it, it was
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: prior to that. And that's why they were trying to
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: shut you up.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: When they say the streets talk, they talk. And they
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: usually tell the truth.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: It's not anything new.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Things.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: Right. When something comes out in the world, like, for example,
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: all this ditty stuff, we're not going to talk about
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: it because I don't get you or me in trouble.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: But that's not.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I have it. I have it here.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: But I was like, it's just so dark and awful.
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: But just all this stuff is new. All this stuff.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: Like when you watch these shows. And Bethany's trying to
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: talk about the reality tricks. They've been doing that. When
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: we had Last Comic Standing, and it was a voting show,
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: don't forget. We lived in a house, and then they
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: were supposed to vote for us, right? They created scenes.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: They talk about three women. I was the bitch. Kathleen
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Madigan was the oddball. And they made Bonnie McFarland seem
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: like she was a whore, which she wasn't, but she's brilliant.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: But that was the position for women on reality TV
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: back then, if you remember. Seven guys who were all
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: what they were, who we loved, those guys. But there
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: was a scene with me that looked like I was
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: plotting against somebody. And if you look at it, I
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: have two different outfit on. Like, here's me like in this.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Wait, were you on the first season?
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: Second. We had 18 million viewers. It blew up.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Wait, who was?
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: I don't want to brag, but I had 320 MySpace followers.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Who was your? 320,000 you mean. Who was your winner?
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: John Heffron. Very funny. Okay.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Gary Goleman. And the year before was the Vietnamese guy
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: that won.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: Dat Phan won.
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: But, you know, they did a lot of things. Reality
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: has been the executives at NBC turned their backs on
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: us on the upfronts because they didn't. believe in the
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: reality the scripted division they turn their backs they don't
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: want to talk to.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Us you know when we started talking early in the
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: show I meant to tell you this there was this
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: thing that I did at the Groundlings where these two
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: guys were going to do a pilot presentation of a
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: sitcom that they wrote and they're like can you play
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: the girl that works at the hardware store or whatever
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: And I'm like, sure, thinking if this gets picked up,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: I'll be able to get them right. So anyway, so
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: they have all these executives come to see like this
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: read through or whatever, not a read through, see it
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: acted out of these two weird guys that work at
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: a hardware store. And we all think it goes great.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: We practiced and did it and everyone got laughs and
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: all these suits are there. And after it's over, and
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I go, well, that went really well, don't you think?
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: And they're like, it's dead. It's never gonna happen. And
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I go, why? And they were like, we looked out,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: the two guys who were like the main company groundlings
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: at this time. I was in the Sunday show, which
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: is like the B team. And there was an executive
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: there that was trying to get into the Sunday show.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And the main people voted on that. which people from
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: level four would get into Sunday show. And they didn't
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: vote him in. And he was very pissed and weird
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: and vocal and angry about it to the point where
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: like he made a stink. And now he is the
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: decision maker. Yeah. And they were right. Went nowhere. And
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: that's why I say how it could just be one
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: person where it's like, Yeah.
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: You don't even know.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Like, I'm sure. I'm going to get you back now.
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: I have death by paper cuts. That's the name of
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: my new book that I'm writing. Because it's, I mean,
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: I once put a drink down on, I was at
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: NBC doing a development deal and I put my drink
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: down like this on what I thought was a coaster.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: But it wasn't.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: And the guy was like, ah! And it was like
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: this antique, this piece of this fossil that he had
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: picked up. And I'm like, okay, I guess that meeting's over.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: We're done. There's a million stories I can tell you why.
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: And then there's probably a million more.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Why not?
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: That's why it's hard when I love the reality stuff.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: I really do. But when they're complaining and they're trying
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: to do this reckoning and stuff, you came to the
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: table with your personality, right? You didn't come with a talent.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: So sometimes the personalities don't show and they had to
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: do tweaks to get it out. I do think that
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: some of it's ridiculous. You don't, you know, you don't
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: ply people with alcohol. But then again, you know, you're
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: going to be on TV. So don't drink the alcohol.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: You know, I know that I literally... One time on
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: a third show Saturday called myself Terry Pescatelli. Thanks for coming.
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: I'm Terry Pescatelli. I never drink and go on stage again. Okay.
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: My name is Tammy, by the way, if people don't know.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Oh, really? Yes. Good for you. Okay, a little follow-up
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: on the Michael Orr. This is from The Blind Side.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I've talked about this. You know the movie From the
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Blind Side, how it was based on a real story.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: The Chewies, we thought they adopted him. He went to Mississippi.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: He became an NFL player. And now he's come forward
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: and he was suing and saying, you didn't really adopt
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: me and I didn't get my fair share of the movie.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: The Tuohys came back and said, you, along with our
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: two kids and ourselves, we each got the exact same amount, $ 138, 000
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: for the movie. That's it. You know, that's what we
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: agreed to. That's what the life rights. You know, you
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: sign this thing and you don't know what's going to
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: be Oscars and this and that. That's what they got.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: So he's saying all this awful stuff about them a
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: couple months ago, you know, that they didn't care and
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: that they did this conservative shit. conservatorship. And they said, well,
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: that's because he was over 18.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: You can't adapt an adult.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Yeah. He was over 18 when he was playing football
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: in the high school. And, and then, you know, well,
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: this is what, well, the movie was not, it was
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: based on a true story. So if it showed him,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you know, like it didn't have to be completely real. Like,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: so people want to do that smarter. So now it
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: comes out that the two E's are showing text messages and,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: in which he threatened them and said, give me $ 10
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: million right now or I'm going to go to the
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: press and say all this stuff about you and it's
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: going to look horrible.
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: And they still were like, you know, whatever. And then
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: he said, now that you didn't respond.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: Michael, Michael, I got a gun in my purse, Michael.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: I have. I have lunch with the president of the PTA,
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: the ARA, and the AARP.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Is that from the movie?
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: I don't remember what she said.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah, she was like the district attorney.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: And she taught him how to play football. And, of course,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: then we find out, no, he knew how to play
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: football before. He was already playing there. Okay, fine. Who cares?
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: That's the movie. Anyway, he then says, now that you
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: didn't get back to me, now it's going to be
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: $ 15 million.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: Yeah, that's extortion.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: So- I think we get the picture now. I mean, yeah. Like,
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: so I don't know where all his money went. People
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: think that this could be caused from CTE. which is
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: the brain injury that happens to football players sometimes. And
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: maybe that is why he's acting this way. I think
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: he could have run out of money. I think, I
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: think it could be a lot of things. It's just
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: really sad because we love the story. And I truly
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: believe these families exist and they do treat these children
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: that they did not give birth to as their own.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: And they still said, we still love him. We still
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: want to make up with him. But because this lawsuit
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: now is here, we've got to share the evidence of
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: him trying to extort us.
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: And they immediately, when he first came out with it,
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: they weren't even going to cancel Sandra Bullock.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: They were like... I know. What does that have to do.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Her partner died of ALS.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: Wait, and when she won the Academy Award for The
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: Blind Side was about a week after when Jesse James
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: was cheating on her.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: With multiple porn stars.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: Yeah, so she was like all of, it was just
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: all crazy.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: For the one, yeah, which is so sad because now
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: you like, have you ever looked back at things in
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: your life? I have, and there's been some like Times where, unfortunately,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: there was this amazing thing happening in my career that
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: may never happen again. And at the same time, an
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: awful thing was happening personally. And it bums me out
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: that they were happening at the same time Cause I'm like, fuck,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: you know, that overshadowed that great thing that may never happen.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: And that's exactly what happened to her.
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: Well, that's what it's like being Italian, by the way.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: That's what it's like being Italian. Cause you can never
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: focus on the good. Okay. That, that's now you've just explained. That's,
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: that's the problem right there. That's, that's, yes, that's right there. So,
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: but yeah, no, that's exactly with, with them. I think
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: the other thing that kind of bums me out with
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: this whole story is that it reminds me, again, when
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: I talk about my brother and everything, people think that
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: you're on television and that you literally have a tree
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: in your backyard that you're picking money off of.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: So true.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: They never count your bills. They only count your checks.
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: They don't understand what it takes to maintain money. That
- 1:09:46Speaker 5: you have an agent, a manager, attorneys figure things out.
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: You have travel. You have this. The government takes this.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: Because I pay all my taxes and it's all completely correct.
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: But they never think about that. They only think the money.
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: And it's sad that even he didn't really wasn't fully
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: present to understand. Now, do I think that they probably,
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: the husband and wife, could have given their $ 138, 000 combined
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: to him? They could have. But not $ 10 million.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: But also at the time, he was making millions of
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: dollars as an NFL player. So I think they were like,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: this is fine.
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: Well, I'd give them that and be like, if that's
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: what you want, take it. Because we really don't even
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: want to be part of this story anymore. You can
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: have it. But the truth is, is that look, like...
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: Where does he think $ 10 million? That movie didn't make
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: $ 10 million that went to them.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Right. They didn't go to them. They sold their life
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: story and their lifelikeness. Yeah. It's the studio then that
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: made all that money. And yeah, they didn't profit. They
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: were already wealthy. They already had their... food franchises and stuff.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: Which is great. So they were like, I love that
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: the story is so inspiring and you guys are going
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: to make a movie out of it. Great. They probably
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: didn't negotiate hard enough for themselves because they didn't need
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: the money. And also, they're not movie people. So whatever
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: attorney they got might have not known to put in
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: the contract. And if it gets to this amount of millions,
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: then they get an extra bonus. And the way people
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: do back end now, people don't always.
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: They didn't know if Sandra Bullock was going to play.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: That or me. It could have been on Lifetime.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: Right. It could have gone nowhere.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: To the shed with me. Yeah. But it's true. Like,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: they didn't know that it was going to be such
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: a hit. You know, nobody does about these things. It's heartbreaking.
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: It's heartbreaking that people just count your money.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: And also because it was a beautiful story. And these
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: families do exist. You know, and I've talked about my
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: really good friend who is a mom of two football players.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: And she was very, not didn't like officially adopt them,
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: but had boys stay at her house and worked with
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: their moms to make it a better environment for them
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: to succeed in school. She was that person that's like,
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: they can live here. And she kept in touch with them.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: And she says, my son and my grandchild and all
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: of that. So it's like I don't want people to
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: think that this can't exist because it can. Oh, it
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: totally can. And it's beautiful and it comes from really
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: good hearts, you know. And just because the people are
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: white and wealthy does not mean that their heart wasn't
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: in the right place, you know.
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: Just the fact that he made it to the NFL,
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: he had to have a support system that really helped.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: I mean, I always think that I see that Travis
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: Kelsey's mom before Taylor– Just the story last year, can
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: you imagine being the mom whose sons are playing each
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: other in the Super Bowl?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: Like she has to have a jersey cut in half
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: and sewn together because she knows it's both her kids' dreams,
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: but only one of them is going to be the winner.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: Like that's got to be heartbreaking as a mother.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: I can relate because my son, Drake, who's 21, and
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: my other son, who's 17, he's almost 18. They were,
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: we were playing pickleball and they were, each took a cousin.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: So they were playing against each other. And I literally said, wow.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: Who do I pick? I know how it feels to
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: be the Kelsey mama. Oh, you should. I did not
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: know who to root for. I didn't know if I
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: want to go for the little one.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: See.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Or the firstborn. Do I go for the heir or
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: the spare?
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: Well, if the spare gets the fair haired.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Taylor.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: I think he won all the way around that.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: So I know what it's like to have two boys
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: in the Super Bowl.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: I didn't know I was talking to someone who had
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: really lived this.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Oh, I've lived it.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: I just want to ask you. So how were you
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: able to navigate post the pickleball? The extravaganza that was
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: the pickleball.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: Well, luckily we went to lunch after and once everyone
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: was fed, no one cares or remembers because they're boys.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: So it's all good.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: They've recovered.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: They've recovered and they're not jealous or anything as long
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: as food was part of the afternoon. I honestly don't
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: even remember who won.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: I do. You called me and complained about it. No,
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: I'm just kidding. You didn't at all.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Okay. I thought this was interesting. Cardi B and Offset,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: who I believe they're married. They definitely have two kids together.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: And yesterday they unfollowed each other. And of course, the
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: fans figured it out. And listen, if you're mad at
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: somebody and you don't want to see them going out
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: because you're taking a break from them, you can mute them.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: By unfollowing is you want the fans to know that
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: some shit has gone down and you are pissed. Yes.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: And you want them to turn on your husband, ex-friend,
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: business partner, whatever. Yep.
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: But when you hit that unfollow button, it's like literally saying,
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: let the games begin.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: You know, it really is like, all right, let's see
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: how this goes down. You want to cheat on me?
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Let's see how this shit works right now. See if
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: you can handle it. Now, what I will say is, again,
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: that's generational. This generation unfollows each other. We followed each other.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: You want to cheat on me, I'm going to follow
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: you everywhere and find where you go and what you're doing.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: It's just, it's the adaptation.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: In real life, in real life, yeah.
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: Switch cars with your best friend and buy a wig
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: and drive past their uncle's house. Like, we did everything.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: It's interesting. These two have always fascinated me. She was really,
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: talk about reality show. I mean, she was on Love
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: and Hip Hop New York. Super dynamic personality, super dynamic personality.
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: They barely they didn't even show any of her musical stuff,
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: none of it. And so she was just destined to
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: be a personality out there. So it's amazing to see
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: the level. That she's gone to.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: And that, you know, a lot of people don't pop
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: like that from reality. I mean, there's only been like
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: a handful of people that have like really gone on
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: and done something. Her being the biggest for music, but
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: like Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: She was probably the only, like, she came from Survivor
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: and she was a regular on The View. Now she's
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: done and over it. We don't hear from her. That's fine.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: But she definitely hit a level of success that she
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: would have never gotten that, would have never been discovered
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: had she not gone the Survivor route. So it's like,
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: I do see why people do reality TV and I
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: don't think they shouldn't because you definitely can emerge and
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: do other things.
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: Yeah, well, she definitely... I mean, I think Cardi, I'm glad. Again,
- 1:16:36Speaker 5: I like to say that. I'd like to see her win.
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: Elizabeth Hasselbeck, I remember with her on Survivor because I
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: watched it because she was just fading away. They had
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: her on that show and she was getting skinny. She
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: started out tiny.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: Like I think if you're ever going to go on
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: one of those shows where they put you on an island, you.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Have to eat. Fatten yourself up.
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: Eat, eat, eat. You have to show up like you
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: can't even move.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but then you have to be in a bikini.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: So you want to look kind of good.
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: So what?
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: Then you get development. Then you get all those deals
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: because you got skinny people. You could be the spokesperson for,
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: you know, Ozempic Stone. They'll come up with something. Like,
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: did you take Ozempic? No, I just banged my head
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: against a rock and I felt passed out and didn't eat.
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: I don't know what it is.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Okay, this is juicy. Okay, Real Housewives
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: of Salt Lake City. We've talked about Monica. Monica is
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: the new girl who is in a lawsuit with Heather Gay,
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: who's the owner of the beauty lab. Before she got
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: on the show, she got some Botox and she did
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: not pay her bill. And then Heather Gay's company sued her.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: She had a different name. So when Heather wasn't even
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: aware that this new girl that was on the show
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: was the person that she was in this lawsuit with
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: for $ 4, 000. And once it became.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Then she countersued and said that the Botox wasn't good.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Yet then Heather's people presented text messages in which she
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: wrote and said, I love my Botox. I never look better.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: I'm telling everybody to go to the beauty lab. But
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: really what got her hired was that she had an
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: affair with her husband's sister's husband, brother-in-law that way. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: And they have found him. And here he is.
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: He's hot.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: He's a hot fire department chief. He's a Utah fire
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: department chief. And from what I read, and this is,
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I think this is from The Sun, it was revealed,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: and Bravo Snark and all these people have picked up.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: But what they revealed, what I read was, I was
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: thinking that he stayed married to the sister. And I
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: was like, wow. this kind of sucks that this story
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: is out. Because if they were going to try to
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: make this family work, I'm almost happy to hear that
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: they didn't stay together. I think it makes Monica's story
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: less awful, honestly. Because he, not that it was her fault,
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: I just felt bad that if this couple... We're going
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: to forgive each other if she was going to forgive
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: him for the affair and they're trying to stay together.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: And then the mistress, ex-sister-in-law goes on the show. We
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: knew we would find him. We knew we would find him.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: But from what I read is no, that marriage ended
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: Well, I know that exact story in real life.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I know that.
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: I mean, not them, but I know I had this friend.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: I'm going to try to make sure that I say
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: she got very sick. She had brain cancer. Her sister-in-law
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: came in, her brother's wife, to be the caregiver, okay?
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: The sister-in-law and the husband of the sick woman had
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: an affair. It blew the entire family up. The two
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: of them went off together for a little bit. It
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: didn't work out. Eventually, the woman dies. It's just a
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: big— it' s a sad story. But the hardest part was the
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: parents— The parents of the brother and sister whose spouse
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: is cheated together, they don't know what to do. They
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: still have to interact with the grandchildren. Both of their
- 1:20:16Speaker 5: kids are miserable. I mean, it's a horrible thing what
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: they did.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: And both of them.
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: Have kids that their exes, their grandparents have to deal with.
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: So here we are just posting it right out. And
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: by the way, is that when Monica got the Botox
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: from Heather's place?
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Oh, she looks gorgeous.
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: She looks fantastic there.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: What?
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: I feel that's another tough one.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: I mean, he's hot. People have affairs. It happens. They
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: found him. I'm glad I'm not the one that found him.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: I did not want to search and find it. Hopefully,
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: the ex-sister-in-law and his ex-wife has gone on to live
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: a happy life. And recovered from the fact that her
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: husband cheated with her sister-in-law. And hopefully Monica's ex-husband is
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: living a nice thing. But I mean, it is fascinating
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: that you cheat within your own family. And it's like,
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: also that the fact that you brought this... I just
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: thought between her ex-husband and the fire chief's ex-wife, that brother-sister, like...
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: It was like you, you know, like they're like, it
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: was your wife. Well, it was your husband. Well, it
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: was your wife. Well, it was your husband. Like, I
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: hope that their brother-sister relationship can come back if it
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: was good before. I hope it could come back now
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: that they're both divorced. Yeah. And be like, let's be
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: real careful about who we bring in and make sure
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: that these people are not attracted to each other. Forget it.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Thanksgiving is off. We are never sharing a house together
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: for a ski weekend. No way. Never. We are never
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: going to the shore house. We are never getting in
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: a houseboat. We are never getting in anywhere that has
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: a basement where the two of them could go down
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: and get extra Diet Cokes and have a quickie.
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: I can't live that life. I can't live. I have
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: dated cheaters. I've had all that stuff in my life,
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: but I can't live that. I can't– my husband, thank God,
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: I love him and I trust him as much as
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: I'm going to trust somebody. I'll never– you know. But
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: I can't live where I'm afraid to go to the
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: bathroom because I'm afraid that you guys are going to
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: be blowing each other while I'm going to pee. You
- 1:22:31Speaker 5: know what I mean? Like I can't live that way.
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: You can't sleep. I don't care how much your toes
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: are curled. If your fists are balled up, it doesn't work.
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: It just doesn't work.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: That's a fun expression. I don't really understand it.
- 1:22:44Speaker 5: You know how you're always nervous? They curl your toes
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: because you're in love and you're having sex.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Oh, you curl your toes from fucking.
- 1:22:50Speaker 5: Yeah, and sex. But if your fists are balled up.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Is that an old Italian thing?
- 1:22:54Speaker 5: Your fists being balled up?
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: No, what you just said. Is that a Terry Pascatelli?
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: A Terry Pascatelli.
- 1:22:59Speaker 5: It's probably Terry. It's probably the drunken part of me.
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: Am I Rachel Raquel?
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: No. Anyway, I just loved this. Kaylee Coco. Is Coco Coco?
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: How do you say it? Quoco. Quoco. Say you say it.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Says wearing faux bangs in 2013 SAG Awards was the
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: worst thing I've ever done. It's an exclusive by people.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: There's an amazing photo of her. And I just want
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: to say. I don't think I've loved a woman more
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: that has talked about a hair mistake from 10 years ago.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: And I, too. It wasn't on the red carpet. But
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: I will tell you my faux bang story.
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: I'd love to hear it.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: Okay. There was a kiosk in the mall. And this
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: probably would have been.
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: Oh, I've seen those hair kiosks.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: I remember the office I was in. I was at
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Chelsea lately. It was the original studio. So it had
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: to be like before like 2012. Okay. Somewhere. So it's
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: around this time. And I, you know, went and they
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: had the fake ponies and all this and the bangs
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: and You know, I put it on and I was like, oh,
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: my God, I look so, like, chic because I don't
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: have bangs and I don't want to cut bangs because
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: of this weird, like, side cowlick thing. So bangs, like,
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: never really worked. Like, I could do, like, a side bang,
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: but it never really worked. So I'm like, I think
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: I'm jamming. I think it looks really good.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: By the way, that's not even real hair probably, right?
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: Oh, no. It was like you can't curl it. It
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: says don't curl.
- 1:24:33Speaker 5: So.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I like in my office, which my desk looked out
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: and we always had the doors open. Like we always
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: had our doors open in these, these offices at Chelsea Lately.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: And I decided to wear it on Monday to the office.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: And I don't know if it was Tom or EP
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: or Chelsea. I don't know which one saw it first.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: But they told the other to say, something fucking died
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: on Heather's head. You need to go check.
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: It out.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: I don't know if I went to the writers' meeting
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: or not. But thank God I realized that day it's
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: a mistake because Chelsea or Tom or both called me out.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: And I was like, all right. Took them out and
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: never wore them again and never wore them on the
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: round table, thank God. But I can see why people
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: did it. And I want to know, have you found
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: successful faux bangs 10 years later? Because obviously this was
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: a mistake. Yeah. And it looks like a really bad wig.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: Well, at least they were fake because I once cut
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: them in.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: That's horrible. What made you do that?
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: Watching Shannon Doherty on 90210.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: It's all her fault.
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: God bless her. I hope she's healthy. But, I mean,
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: it's all her fault. She looks so cute with those bangs.
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: They were straight across Brenda. They look so beautiful.
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: I remember Heather Dubrow of Real Housewives of O.C., Like
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: was getting ready for the reunion and somebody doing her
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: hair talked her into the bangs.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: So she comes out with the bangs and Andy's like, oh, okay,
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: you have bangs, you know? And she's like, yes, you know,
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: and whatever. And then Terry, her husband, comes out. We're
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: going to bring the husbands out. And that's the first
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: time he sees her with the bangs. And he's like, oh. Um,
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: and we went, we were, I was like friendly with
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: them at that point. And we like went out to
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: dinner after that. And I go, okay, now the bangs
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: are growing and she's looking. And I go, it doesn't
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: seem like you're too thrilled with the bangs. And he's like, well,
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: my God, you know, my wife has a perfect face.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: You don't put bangs on a perfect face like that,
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: which I thought was really sweet. But like, I just think, yeah,
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: so those are two things. Lessons to be learned. Be
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: careful with the bangs. Not for everyone.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: I had the one little clip and it just kept
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: sliding down. It's like I'm holding it back to say
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: hello to people.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: Amazing. Okay, last thing to talk about. Kristen Cavallari is
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: getting a lot of press off of this. She basically said,
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: you know, there's nothing wrong. It doesn't, quote, She's getting
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: slammed for this. It doesn't fucking matter when you sleep
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: with a guy or not. Basically, she says, I've talked
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: to dating experts or whatever, and they said 90% of
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: their best couples boned on the first or second date.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: So if there's chemistry, go for it. It doesn't matter.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: It doesn't mean your relationship is going to be more
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: likely to happen or not happen if you wait. And
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: so people are... She's getting slammed for it. What is
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: your thought? Why who, though? Just by people in the comments.
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Yeah, because look.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: Not that people are like marching on Washington. They're writing
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: from their phone and taking a shit. Well, first of all, look, again,
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: it's all we had the rules.
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: If they didn't call you by Wednesday, you couldn't go
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: on a date on Saturday.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: You know, that's how I got. I hooked in. Peter
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: was the rules. Really? The first and only time I
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: used it. So should I be mad?
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: You got scammed.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: Those two women got divorced, remember? Yeah, you guys. I've
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: talked about it, you guys. It's a classic book. It's
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: from the 90s. It's called The Rules. And these two
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: women who were happily married got together and interviewed their
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: grandmothers or something and created a book. No, no.
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: Maybe it was a book. I think it was an article.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: I guess they did the rules to get married. I
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: don't know. But they created the rules, which did work
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: when the book came out because there was no texting
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: and there was no iPhones. So you could... A guy
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: could leave a message on your voicemail and you could technically,
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: or your answering machine even, because voicemail you could call
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: and check it. But an answering machine, you had to
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: physically be back in your house to press it and
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: see that someone called. So it would be easier to
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: play hard to get, which was the guy calls you
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: and you're not home because you're out dating other men
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: living your life.
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: Let me explain what hard to get was. It was
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: not giving it up on the first night. That's what
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: it meant. It meant that you treated yourself as if
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: you were special and they were lucky to get you.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: So that was a different thing. Or, you know, like
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: you didn't, if they called you on Wednesday and said,
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: do you want to do something on Saturday?
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: You didn't go. You had to. Yeah.
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: They said, even if you're not doing anything, make it
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: seem like you're doing something.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: It totally worked. For me.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: That's great.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: I got it. I read it. I met Peter. And
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: I was like, and I remember he, I was driving
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: home from work. Don't mean to brag, but I did
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: have a cell phone. And because it was like 1999
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: or something.
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: Cost you $ 17 a minute to make the phone call
- 1:30:09Speaker 5: from it. But okay.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: And he's like, so do you want to go to
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: movie night? Do you want to, you know, well. He
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: would not have said, I love you. We had not said,
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: am I your boyfriend, girlfriend? Yeah. And I was like, oh, well,
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: I can't tonight. I have plans. And I did. I
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: had plans to go to this charity event that I
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: think Shannon Bedore had something to do with, believe it
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: or not, from Real Housewives of Boise. Because she was like,
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: I create charities. I don't know. And it was called
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: like the Bachelor Ball or whatever. Yeah. I figured he
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: could figure out that that was happening because there were
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: guys he knew. But I was going. I was going
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: with this guy. And I kind of felt like I
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: was sort of cheating on him. But the rules said,
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: if you didn't ask me before Wednesday, this guy asked me.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: So it was like you dressed up and we went.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: And I did make out with the guy. But he left.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: Peter calls me at 7 a.m. that morning.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: Hi.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: Hi.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: Sneaky butt.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: To see if some dude's over. And I go, hi.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: And he goes, what are you doing? Oh, nothing, just
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: waking up. And he's like, would you like to go
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: to breakfast? And I go, okay. He's like, all right,
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: I'll be there in a half hour.
- 1:31:25Speaker 5: Hysterical.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: So we went to breakfast and then we went rollerblading.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: And hung out the whole day.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: And then he locked it down.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: And then he locked it down. Yeah. He's not going
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: to have me go to another bachelor ball. But, and
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: then I remember, so everything's working out. We're doing great.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: And then we go to visit my sister in Palm Springs,
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: looking to where her husband and she lived. And they
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: were just married at that time. And she starts joking,
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: completely revealing the secret of the rules. Stop.
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: Talking about the rules. You weren't supposed to tell anybody.
- 1:31:57Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: And then she goes.
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: The first rule of rule club is you don't tell
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: anybody the rules.
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: And he goes, oh, I was wondering why this girl
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: wasn't calling me back. Oh. Because you're not supposed to
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: call them back right away.
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: Wow, what a hater.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: You're supposed to act like you're busy. You're doing shit.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: No, I had a friend that sent herself flowers. That's
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: what it said. You're supposed to send yourself flowers so
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: they show up and mysteriously there are some roses that
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: just are being delivered. I didn't do that because I
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: didn't have the money. I probably could have if I
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: would have had money, but no. Yeah, you had to.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: But see, it's like.
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: When people say to me about comedy, like, what do you,
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: that they're being comedians who have advice, I said, do
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: you want to be funny or do you want to
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: be famous? It's two separate things. Do you want to
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: just date or are you trying to get married? There's
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: two different things.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: Like, what Kristen is saying is not wrong, but she's
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: already been married. She's just in the time of her
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: life probably to have fun. You know, I think that
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: there are certain things to those rules that stay no
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: matter what year it is.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: Yeah. I think there is an element that is inherent
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: to men. that they have a competitiveness.
- 1:33:03Speaker 5: Yeah, they want what somebody else has.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: 100% they do. And I think that it's a different time.
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: Women just haven't realized that and they're being like, well,
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: I'll come over. I'll send you nudes. I'll do this.
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: There's no mystique. One of the things that Leah McSweeney
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: said and one of the things like, I've sent so
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: many losers nudes for free. Why not make money off
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: the nudes? Why is it a standard that you're just
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: sending nudes to people that you're not in a relationship with?
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: Sending the nudes, I think, is worse than just sleeping
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: with someone on the first date. Because what are you
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: getting out of that?
- 1:33:40Speaker 5: Just put it on your business card. We don't even
- 1:33:42Speaker 5: have business cards anymore, but why don't you just pass
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: those out? Why don't you put it on your profile picture?
- 1:33:46Speaker 5: I think that's easier.
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: So realize that... Guys may not even realize it because
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: the sex has come so easy to them. They might
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: not even realize that they are competitive beings, you know,
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: but they are. They are about business. They are about
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: sports and they will be about you. So make it
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: a little bit of a challenge and that will kind
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: of incite them.
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: I learned that from the rules, but I also learned it.
- 1:34:12Speaker 5: I lived in L.A. has these, you know, the weird
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: enclaves of people. Sometimes and I moved into a eight
- 1:34:19Speaker 5: unit apartment building that was I'd like to call it
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: a stripper colony because it was myself and a young
- 1:34:27Speaker 5: black attorney and then strippers of different different times in
- 1:34:33Speaker 5: their career. Like we had this one I used to
- 1:34:35Speaker 5: call Magda because she was old. She'd go get the
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: she'd go get the mail with her boobs just swinging
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: in the wind. She'd lay naked and she'd go dance
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: in Henderson on the weekends. Then we had this beautiful
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: one that was like, the first time I met her,
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: she handed me this bag. She goes, my boyfriend's coming.
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: Can you hold this for me? I don't know what
- 1:34:54Speaker 5: it is. It was her luggage. She had actually just
- 1:34:57Speaker 5: come from, she had went off with a Sultan in Dubai. Oh,
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: she's one of those girls. And she came back and
- 1:35:04Speaker 5: opened up her bag and she had like $ 10, 000 in cash. Meanwhile,
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: this has been in my house the whole time. One
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: collected pets. One had like, she was so beautiful, but-
- 1:35:15Speaker 5: Her house was like, there was flying birds and free-form
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: rabbits and two dogs. I mean, it was insane. But
- 1:35:23Speaker 5: those women, who I probably wouldn't have been friends with
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: at home. I'll just be honest. Like, we wouldn't have
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: had the same circle of friends. But in Los Angeles,
- 1:35:32Speaker 5: we were the same friends. And comics have Mondays off.
- 1:35:35Speaker 5: And so do strippers. They really taught me. I mean, again,
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: you know, I was like, hey, how you doing? I
- 1:35:42Speaker 5: was flirting like Joey from Friends. They taught me about mystique,
- 1:35:46Speaker 5: have a little bit of mystery, like what they were
- 1:35:49Speaker 5: in the sex business, but they weren't just tossing it
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: out there every time. So they taught me about, look,
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: if you're too excited to be with them, they don't
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: want you. The guy at the strip club goes for
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: the stripper that doesn't pay attention to him.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: True.
- 1:36:07Speaker 5: And it was so funny. I learned so much about
- 1:36:10Speaker 5: That feminine wiles, because my mother didn't have a mother.
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: Her mother died when she was young. So I didn't
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: learn girly things. And they taught me how to be
- 1:36:20Speaker 5: a girl. And so the first guy that I was like, oh,
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: I'll be just blow off was my husband afterwards.
- 1:36:26Speaker 6: See? Yeah.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: I blew him off.
- 1:36:29Speaker 5: I was dating other guys, not sleeping.
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: But look, it worked for both of us.
- 1:36:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I showed up at a party with another guy.
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: When I met my husband for the first time, I
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: was on a date with someone else and I knew
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: he was going to be there. And I said that
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: I'm going to go. I'm going to keep the date.
- 1:36:43Speaker 5: See, I think they want something that you just already showed.
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: It's like you pulled up in a nice car already.
- 1:36:50Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: I mean, like nobody wants the person who's just sitting
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: there waiting for him.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: Then eventually they want you to wait for him. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: Well, I loved connecting with you. Tammy, you have a podcast.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: I do. Tell us about that because I think that
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: sounds right up the Juicy Scoop alley.
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: So it's crime and comedy. I do it with my best,
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: best friend. I've talked to you about her before, Laura.
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: Laura Parks, she used to be a police officer. She's
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: retired now. I used to go on ride-alongs with her
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: to just see her. But we started talking about all
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: this stuff that's going on, because we're lucky that as
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: young girls traveling around, we didn't get murdered. Apparently in
- 1:37:30Speaker 5: the 80s, there were serial killers everywhere. I happened to stay,
- 1:37:34Speaker 5: I mentioned earlier, with a guy who was a star
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: search winner, Vince Champ. And he actually victimized a woman
- 1:37:44Speaker 5: the night that he stayed with me. And I had
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: to be interviewed by law enforcement because.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: They thought he was my boyfriend. Stayed with you while
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: you were doing stand-up?
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: Well, in the condo. We weren't, I didn't know him.
- 1:37:53Speaker 5: And condos used to just throw people in. There were
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: flap houses. I didn't know him from Adam. I didn't
- 1:37:58Speaker 5: even work with him. We were just crossing like, you know,
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: I was leaving and he was coming, but we ended
- 1:38:03Speaker 5: up staying in the same apartment that night. Right. I
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: don't want to say this word because I don't want
- 1:38:09Speaker 5: your algorithm to go off. But, you know, he victimized
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: a woman.
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:38:13Speaker 5: And I might have already said the word and messed
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: it up for you. I apologize. So the night that
- 1:38:19Speaker 5: I was there, but I didn't know anything about it.
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: And the law enforcement thought I was his girlfriend because
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: women weren't on the road. And they're like, why are
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: you in an apartment with this guy? And like, that's
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: just where they put us. But I was also dating
- 1:38:31Speaker 5: the guy who cheated on me. So it took a
- 1:38:33Speaker 5: little while for them because they were like, you're you're
- 1:38:35Speaker 5: can I just say the word that your boyfriend's a rapist?
- 1:38:37Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, my God, I thought he
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: was cheating on me. I didn't realize they were talking
- 1:38:41Speaker 5: about him. I thought they were talking about my boyfriend
- 1:38:43Speaker 5: at home. So it was a little bit of a.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: Three's Company thing. But Laura and I talk about all
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: these crimes in comedy because not making fun of it,
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: we really just laugh at ourselves. But there's been so much.
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: I mean, from Phil Hartman to literally Roscoe Arbuckle, you know,
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: Fatty Arbuckle. He was the first big, big name. He
- 1:39:05Speaker 5: used to make a million dollars a week in the
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: 1920s and a million dollars a picture in the 1920s.
- 1:39:12Speaker 5: And there was a woman who died at one of
- 1:39:14Speaker 5: his parties. Alcohol was in prohibition and he stood trial
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: three times for her murder. So there's a lot of stories.
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: Oh, I love that.
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: So it's called The Cop and the Comedian, a true
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: friendship crime podcast.
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: I love it. And then where can they follow you
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: for your dates and everything? What's your Instagram?
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: At Tammy Pescatelli, not Terry, Tammy.
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: Go see Tammy. She's such a great stand up and
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: you have lots of dates and you're always out there
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: and listen to her podcast. Enjoy. Thank you, girl. Thank
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: you for my Italian jewelry.
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: Christmas shopping has already started in our house. My daughter
