- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys, we have an incredible interview with Latia coming up.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We're so excited to have her talk a little bit
- 0:07Speaker 1: about Taylor Frankie Paul, her role on The Secret Lives.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Of Mormon Wives.
- 0:10Speaker 1: She's pretty close to that community. But we also wanted
- 0:14Speaker 1: to let you know that we did record this interview
- 0:16Speaker 1: before the breaking news that Taylor Frankie Paul is stepping
- 0:20Speaker 1: away from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. We hope
- 0:24Speaker 1: you enjoy this interview of us catching up with Latia.
- 0:27Speaker 1: She gives us some good tea.
- 0:30Speaker 3: This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous podcast
- 0:33Speaker 3: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Welcome back to Almost Famous. It's Ben and Ashley, and
- 0:38Speaker 4: we are so excited because today we get to talk
- 0:40Speaker 4: to one of our favorites. In fact, I don't know
- 0:44Speaker 4: about you, Ash, but she'd probably fall in my top five.
- 0:47Speaker 4: She made a season happen that was really not.
- 0:50Speaker 5: Even a season. Ben, top five is a really powerful ranking. Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Of the past few years, you're a big player.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Think about it this way. That season, if we're honest, was, yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 4: it was fine. It aired, would be the credit I
- 1:09Speaker 4: would give it. It made television.
- 1:11Speaker 5: And that is important these days.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Which is more, yeah, which is more than they can
- 1:16Speaker 2: say for some.
- 1:18Speaker 4: She left Bachelor Nation a few years ago, but she's
- 1:20Speaker 4: still popping up on our screens over on the Secret
- 1:23Speaker 4: Lives of Morven Wise. We're going to talk about that.
- 1:25Speaker 4: And her cousin recently made a huge splash. We got
- 1:28Speaker 4: to talk to her right here. You can go back
- 1:30Speaker 4: and listen to that episode on Let's Marry Harry. There's
- 1:34Speaker 4: a lot to talk about. Come on now. It's Letia Garr.
- 1:37Speaker 5: Come on now.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Hi, guys.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Oh, Letia. Thanks for coming back.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I will never be able to hear the expression come
- 1:48Speaker 1: on now without hearing you.
- 1:50Speaker 5: And I'm happy about that.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Oh, that is so nice.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I feel the same, and I don't know if I'm
- 1:55Speaker 2: happy about it. I think I could take a few
- 1:57Speaker 2: years off of hearing it, but it was a good moment.
- 2:00Speaker 6: I like it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Ashley, there's a few lines that stand out to me.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I won't even say it again through this whole episode, Latia,
- 2:08Speaker 4: because you're sick of it, but Becca Kufrin had one
- 2:10Speaker 4: too that really lasted for a while. What was that?
- 2:15Speaker 5: It was, oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Do the thing. Let's do the thing.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Let's do the damn thing. Do the damn thing.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 4: That was a good one. Latia, you really did. And
- 2:28Speaker 4: I wasn't blowing smoke. Your season did air. Grant was
- 2:32Speaker 4: the lead of your season. We're going to talk about
- 2:34Speaker 4: Grant today because you have interacted with him or at
- 2:40Speaker 4: least distantly on social media and, Grant has been on
- 2:44Speaker 4: the show before. He will be at the, I believe
- 2:48Speaker 4: he's invited to the Bachelor Nation cruise. So I'm going
- 2:51Speaker 4: to get to meet him in person there. But first off,
- 2:54Speaker 4: I want to talk, you were just recently on Secret
- 2:56Speaker 4: Lives of Mormon Wives. That's been making the headlines recently.
- 3:00Speaker 4: What's your take on everything kind of surrounding that show
- 3:04Speaker 4: right now?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Oh, so we're going to just start with the easy questions.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yeah, we're just going to dive in.
- 3:08Speaker 5: You think those are easy? Okay.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. No, I think it's so sad what's happening
- 3:13Speaker 2: over there. It seems like they are trying to right
- 3:18Speaker 2: the ship, some of them, and I'm supportive of.
- 3:24Speaker 6: The children.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Which feels like a polarizing thing to say, but
- 3:30Speaker 2: that's how I feel. I hope that everyone gets healthy
- 3:33Speaker 2: soon and a minimum for the kids. I don't know. Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's crazy over there. It's, and I'm telling you like
- 3:41Speaker 2: more stuff happens off of that show than on it.
- 3:45Speaker 2: So I, if you think that the show is crazy,
- 3:49Speaker 2: real life is crazier.
- 3:50Speaker 5: So you think that they're editing out stuff because it
- 3:53Speaker 5: just would be too bad.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 5: But I don't, I don't know.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I'm not there specifically. Like I can't speak to exactly
- 4:01Speaker 2: what happened. I just, it has been that way the
- 4:04Speaker 2: whole time.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Really?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 6: In my opinion.
- 4:10Speaker 4: It's interesting for me because I'm not like a reality
- 4:15Speaker 4: television person. And so I'm kind of catching up behind
- 4:19Speaker 4: all the time. But you were obviously on The Bachelor.
- 4:23Speaker 4: You made a huge splash on that show. And then
- 4:27Speaker 4: I think it was during The Bachelor. I could be
- 4:29Speaker 4: wrong about this, but somebody like mentioned, oh, yeah. And
- 4:31Speaker 4: you're also friends with or you're associated with the women
- 4:34Speaker 4: on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And immediately following that,
- 4:40Speaker 4: the two worlds collided like headfirst into each other. And you,
- 4:45Speaker 4: in a lot of ways, not stuck in the middle
- 4:47Speaker 4: because there wasn't like controversy surrounding you there. but you
- 4:50Speaker 4: were like your two worlds like hit. And now all
- 4:54Speaker 4: of a sudden you're involved in two of the most
- 4:56Speaker 4: talked about shows on television. Was that weird for you?
- 5:02Speaker 4: Did you see it coming? Did it happen out of nowhere?
- 5:06Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's probably pretty similar to your
- 5:08Speaker 2: experience being the bachelor, Ben, like everything feels really big
- 5:11Speaker 2: when it's happening to you, right? Like when it's in
- 5:14Speaker 2: my backyard and everyone lives 15 minutes from my house,
- 5:17Speaker 2: everything feels big, but when like CNN and like all of,
- 5:21Speaker 2: and it's every time I open my phone, there's like
- 5:24Speaker 2: a million opinions about this stuff that is so local
- 5:26Speaker 2: to me. It is so wild.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's insane. I don't think that I saw it coming,
- 5:33Speaker 2: but it's like, I grew up in this place. So
- 5:37Speaker 2: I'm just like floored every time anyone is interested in it.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Cause it all seems so normal to me the lifestyle
- 5:44Speaker 2: at least obviously everything that has transpired in the past
- 5:47Speaker 2: 18 months is like not normal in any way shape
- 5:50Speaker 2: or form no matter what religion you're.
- 5:52Speaker 6: In but I think that.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It has been interesting it has not been boring as
- 5:59Speaker 2: far as life experience I think it's been pretty cool
- 6:01Speaker 2: for me because I don't have my life being blown
- 6:04Speaker 2: apart or you know picked to pieces but It's definitely
- 6:08Speaker 2: challenging for the people who do it. And I think
- 6:11Speaker 2: for one season of The Bachelor, you can do it
- 6:14Speaker 2: and it's so fun. But to do it over and
- 6:16Speaker 2: over and over again, season over season over season, and
- 6:18Speaker 2: it's their real life is, I'm so happy that I
- 6:22Speaker 2: just had to do my one season.
- 6:25Speaker 1: How close are you to the girls? Like actually proximity,
- 6:28Speaker 1: like location-wise?
- 6:29Speaker 2: I'm the closest with Miranda.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Miranda's one of my best friends.
- 6:32Speaker 2: We talk on the phone probably for a few hours
- 6:35Speaker 2: every day and see each other. Oh, wow.
- 6:38Speaker 6: So I'm closest with Miranda.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And now, do you think that since there are so
- 6:44Speaker 1: many departures from the show, you would ever be asked
- 6:47Speaker 1: to be more? I know that you've been in the
- 6:48Speaker 1: background of some scenes. You've never really had like a
- 6:52Speaker 1: real speaking scene. Do you think that they would try
- 6:54Speaker 1: to integrate you into as like a friend of Miranda?
- 6:58Speaker 6: No, I don't think so.
- 6:59Speaker 1: As in like, no, they wouldn't or no, I'm making
- 7:02Speaker 1: it clear I wouldn't do it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Oh, I don't I don't think they would. I think
- 7:05Speaker 2: they pretty are firmly are like basing everything around moms,
- 7:10Speaker 2: like being a mom or being divorced. And I'm 0
- 7:14Speaker 2: for 2 on those. I yeah, I'll take my clean,
- 7:19Speaker 2: my clean, uninteresting, boring life a little bit.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah, same here.
- 7:23Speaker 2: And I'm not willing to change that to be on
- 7:25Speaker 2: the show is the other part of it, which I
- 7:27Speaker 2: think there are plenty of other people that are absolutely
- 7:31Speaker 2: willing and wanting to do those things.
- 7:33Speaker 6: So I'll let them do it.
- 7:35Speaker 4: There's an interesting... Before we kind of dive in, because
- 7:37Speaker 4: there's a lot to talk to you about. And it is.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I'm curious because so much of it you haven't actually pursued.
- 7:46Speaker 4: It is the randomness of two worlds colliding and then
- 7:50Speaker 4: the controversy surrounding so many people within these two worlds. Obviously,
- 7:54Speaker 4: we'll get into the Taylor-Frankie-Paul stuff and how that season
- 7:57Speaker 4: never even aired. And the last season to ever air
- 8:00Speaker 4: on television is a season that you're a part of.
- 8:02Speaker 4: And it probably feels like a lifetime ago for you.
- 8:05Speaker 4: But I don't know how to phrase this without... maybe
- 8:11Speaker 4: coming off a little bit weird, but the Secret Lives
- 8:15Speaker 4: of Mormon Wives show is how people now in the
- 8:17Speaker 4: world are viewing Mormonism. That is a tradition that you
- 8:21Speaker 4: have been a part of and that you are a
- 8:24Speaker 4: part of. You made a comment, and I really wasn't
- 8:26Speaker 4: even going to bring it up, but you made a
- 8:27Speaker 4: comment like, you're used to this. This is the world
- 8:30Speaker 4: you grow up in. But I'm wondering, is this what
- 8:34Speaker 4: you see on the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
- 8:36Speaker 2: I have.
- 8:38Speaker 4: people close to me that are a part of the
- 8:39Speaker 4: Mormon religion who this is not their life. This is
- 8:43Speaker 4: not how day-to-day operates. Can you speak a little bit
- 8:47Speaker 4: to that and what we're watching and what's reality and
- 8:51Speaker 4: what's true and where this whole thing falls in the
- 8:54Speaker 4: midst of a faith that you practice and hold on to?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that the dynamics in as far as
- 9:04Speaker 2: having like getting married very young, having a lot of
- 9:07Speaker 2: children very young, staying where you're, you know, you're blooming
- 9:12Speaker 2: where you're planted, kind of just everybody staying in Utah.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Those are things that are normal to me. And the
- 9:17Speaker 2: issues that come with getting married very, very early from
- 9:21Speaker 2: being like raised in a very religious, conservative environment. area
- 9:27Speaker 2: and also like in, you know, each individual family. I
- 9:30Speaker 2: think the issues that come up that I see people
- 9:34Speaker 2: talk about a lot online, as far as our religion,
- 9:38Speaker 2: just mainly how young everybody is, how many kids everybody
- 9:41Speaker 2: has and why marriages struggle because nobody knows who they are. Actually,
- 9:45Speaker 2: they don't have an identity outside of a religion or
- 9:47Speaker 2: their marriage. Those are common things. I think, you know,
- 9:52Speaker 2: obviously domestic violence, cheating, lying, like Just like the fighting
- 9:57Speaker 2: is not normal. Like I would say those are the intense.
- 10:00Speaker 2: of what our religion kind of stands for and encourages
- 10:04Speaker 2: and promotes. I think that our religion is really, really
- 10:08Speaker 2: based around family and around building communities. So I think
- 10:12Speaker 2: those words are mentioned a lot on the show. I
- 10:15Speaker 2: don't think that I see those things show up necessarily,
- 10:18Speaker 2: but I don't think that those things make very good TV.
- 10:21Speaker 2: So I don't, I'm trying to boil down the answer
- 10:25Speaker 2: to your question. I think the problems that people are
- 10:28Speaker 2: facing on that show are very common for my religion.
- 10:32Speaker 6: I think that.
- 10:35Speaker 2: The execution of those things is what's missing on the show,
- 10:39Speaker 2: but it's also what makes it interesting and real. Like,
- 10:42Speaker 2: And I, yeah, I also don't think that getting married
- 10:44Speaker 2: young is exclusive to being Mormon or having kids young
- 10:47Speaker 2: is exclusive to, you know, our religion either. So it's
- 10:50Speaker 2: obviously very prevalent and a big part of our culture,
- 10:53Speaker 2: but there are other amazing things. And also I'm 33
- 10:56Speaker 2: and I'm not married. And that's also a very common thing.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Like in our religion, it's just, you know.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Has it affected the church though?
- 11:04Speaker 2: I mean. I mean, it doesn't, no, it doesn't affect
- 11:07Speaker 2: day to day. Like For the average member of the church,
- 11:10Speaker 2: I think when they bring it up outside of Utah,
- 11:14Speaker 2: it's kind of a hot button of like, oh, do
- 11:15Speaker 2: you know any people from the show? But in terms
- 11:20Speaker 2: of like what we teach and like how anything is
- 11:25Speaker 2: like approached or spoken about in like church meetings, not
- 11:28Speaker 2: at all. It's exactly the same.
- 11:32Speaker 1: When they initially picked Taylor to be Bachelorette, And coming
- 11:37Speaker 1: off the heels of like so closely to your season,
- 11:40Speaker 1: what were your thoughts, especially since you knew her a
- 11:45Speaker 1: bit personally?
- 11:46Speaker 6: I mean, I was excited for Taylor. I think, you know,
- 11:49Speaker 6: Ben knows this. Ashley, you know this. You've been in
- 11:51Speaker 6: it for a long time.
- 11:51Speaker 2: It's like such an incredible opportunity, not I think just
- 11:55Speaker 2: to find love, but it's like of self-discovery. And like
- 11:59Speaker 2: being on a TV show, especially being the lead, you
- 12:01Speaker 2: find out so many things about yourself that you would
- 12:04Speaker 2: never imagine. find out and you find them out so much.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I have learned so much about myself from that. So
- 12:10Speaker 2: I was excited for Taylor in that way. And she
- 12:13Speaker 2: already was really good TV and really interesting. I think
- 12:17Speaker 2: she's a good person. So I was excited for her.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But yeah, it's disappointing that it got wasted. I think
- 12:24Speaker 2: she wasted it as a bummer.
- 12:27Speaker 4: You mentioned that she's a good person. And I think
- 12:29Speaker 4: that right now is not a narrative that makes the headlines.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Like you said, you always have to look a little
- 12:35Speaker 4: deeper than the headlines. And we only get the spark
- 12:39Speaker 4: notes of controversy and of the things that are coming
- 12:43Speaker 4: up in court hearings. Can you speak a little bit
- 12:47Speaker 4: to what you know about her, kind of how she
- 12:49Speaker 4: is as a person, maybe how she's doing now? Because
- 12:53Speaker 4: recently the headlines were announced that she– failed drug tests.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I don't even know if that's been proven, but it's
- 13:00Speaker 4: allegedly that she failed a drug test, which means her
- 13:02Speaker 4: time with her kids are going to be shortened. And
- 13:04Speaker 4: so I think that we just, and we've talked about
- 13:06Speaker 4: it here, Latia, where it feels like Taylor just isn't
- 13:10Speaker 4: in the place to be a lead of a show
- 13:12Speaker 4: like this with the pressures that it is. And now
- 13:15Speaker 4: that she did it, everything is compounding on her. And I,
- 13:20Speaker 4: I'm a fan. I don't know her. I've met her
- 13:22Speaker 4: in passing, but I am worried about her because I
- 13:25Speaker 4: felt like I was at a pretty stable place when
- 13:27Speaker 4: I was the lead of the show. And it crushed
- 13:29Speaker 4: me at times to where like I was sitting in
- 13:31Speaker 4: my bed being like, I don't know how to take
- 13:33Speaker 4: the next step in life. Not let alone being a dad,
- 13:38Speaker 4: having the kids and having consistent negative things said.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, um, So I don't know Taylor super well,
- 13:51Speaker 2: and I don't know enough about her right now to
- 13:54Speaker 2: comment on her state of being. I'm looking at the
- 13:56Speaker 2: same stuff that you're looking at. As far as her
- 13:58Speaker 2: being a good person, I think that just because your
- 14:03Speaker 2: actions don't necessarily match all the time doesn't mean that
- 14:07Speaker 2: it's not true because everybody is imperfect. And so I
- 14:11Speaker 2: would love to just extend the grace to her that
- 14:15Speaker 2: she's a good person doing the best she can. And
- 14:18Speaker 2: I would not wish the scrutiny that she goes through
- 14:21Speaker 2: on anyone. And I don't think, and I think it's
- 14:23Speaker 2: pretty obvious that she's not doing well and she's struggling.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I think she's pretty vocal about that. But I think
- 14:30Speaker 2: that it's exactly what you said. It's compounding pressure over
- 14:35Speaker 2: and over and over again. And coupled with like saying, yes,
- 14:38Speaker 2: like accepting responsibility and making commitments I think that's the
- 14:43Speaker 2: part that is such a bummer about it to me
- 14:46Speaker 2: is because, you know, the crew and everybody that works
- 14:49Speaker 2: on bachelor and what everybody puts on hold to make
- 14:52Speaker 2: the show happen. And so I think it's just, and
- 14:55Speaker 2: it's the same thing with secret lives. It's just, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 2: people put everything on hold to make it come together.
- 15:01Speaker 2: And if it all falls apart from one person, I
- 15:03Speaker 2: think that's partly like for secret lives due to poor planning. Like,
- 15:07Speaker 2: I just think there are many people that could lead
- 15:10Speaker 2: the show and, We're focusing on one person who's not
- 15:14Speaker 2: doing well and isn't capable of doing it right now.
- 15:16Speaker 2: And then, obviously, that's the format for Bachelor. So, yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 2: my advice would be to pick someone who's ready to
- 15:22Speaker 2: be a lead. But that's a tough thing to test for,
- 15:24Speaker 2: you know?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Did you kind of know going into her Bachelorette season
- 15:29Speaker 1: that it was going to be a slop show and
- 15:31Speaker 1: she probably wasn't going to end up with who she picked?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Just based on her status going into it.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I think.
- 15:38Speaker 2: based on her recent pattern of behavior, it didn't seem
- 15:40Speaker 2: like she was ready to settle down and be married
- 15:43Speaker 2: to one person that wasn't Dakota. I mean, I don't
- 15:47Speaker 2: think that's like a hot take either.
- 15:49Speaker 5: No, no, I know.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But I'm just saying knowing personally, like if we were
- 15:52Speaker 1: to go back to last September when she left her filming.
- 15:56Speaker 2: The whole set of Secret Lives is about her and Dakota.
- 15:58Speaker 2: So I think any story of her finding love with
- 16:02Speaker 2: someone else was a bit of a stretch.
- 16:04Speaker 6: And putting.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Faith in something that they hadn't seen anything, like they
- 16:10Speaker 2: hadn't seen any evidence that she could move on from Dakota.
- 16:13Speaker 2: So it was interesting that they picked a show they
- 16:17Speaker 2: put millions of dollars into to get her off of that.
- 16:22Speaker 6: But I mean, she's entertaining TV.
- 16:24Speaker 2: That's the thing is at the end of the day,
- 16:26Speaker 2: is it about her finding love or is it about
- 16:27Speaker 2: like creating an interesting season of The Bachelor? And I
- 16:31Speaker 2: think it's probably a very interesting season. even if she
- 16:35Speaker 2: didn't end up with the guy.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Honestly, I don't want to sound like a snot, but
- 16:39Speaker 1: I actually feel like she offended the franchise. And I
- 16:43Speaker 1: sound like I'm on my high horse there, being like,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I'm married and have children for the franchise, so I
- 16:49Speaker 1: can say this.
- 16:50Speaker 5: But that's not what I mean. I just mean like, she.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Going into it could have had the greatest of intentions,
- 16:57Speaker 1: even though everything was a little sloppy. The fact that
- 16:59Speaker 1: she got home and then cheated on the guy willy
- 17:03Speaker 1: nilly with not one, but possibly two guys. And then said,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'll just have my lawyer break up with him.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Like just a little bit offended.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I hate to be the guy she was engaged to
- 17:17Speaker 2: watching that scene for sure. Yeah. That it doesn't feel
- 17:20Speaker 2: good at all.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Well, And it's, I mean, even from my own experience
- 17:25Speaker 4: and Latia, I don't, we'll get into your season and
- 17:28Speaker 4: grant here in a second. I have a lot of
- 17:30Speaker 4: curiosity surrounding that, but you know, obviously that relationship for
- 17:35Speaker 4: me didn't work, but it was like very hard that
- 17:39Speaker 4: it didn't work at the time. Like it was very
- 17:41Speaker 4: real to me. And it was.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Didn't you want.
- 17:44Speaker 5: It to work?
- 17:45Speaker 6: Like you wanted it.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You're like this great for a multitude of reasons because like,
- 17:50Speaker 2: everyone's relying on it, the fan base, whatever, but also
- 17:52Speaker 2: you have real feelings for that person. You've grown close
- 17:54Speaker 2: to them and it's such a special, unique experience. Like
- 17:57Speaker 2: how great would this be? And I think every relationship
- 17:59Speaker 2: anyone ever has, they're like, wouldn't that be great if
- 18:01Speaker 2: I didn't have to date ever again? And it's just
- 18:03Speaker 2: you and me. But yeah, no, that was not present.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I'm actually surprised too, with how like pop culture moves today,
- 18:15Speaker 4: that there hasn't been more of an uproar that, Hey, show,
- 18:20Speaker 4: that is about love. You chose somebody that you knew
- 18:24Speaker 4: was not willing to go through this process looking for love.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Like you not only crossed the fourth wall there, you
- 18:33Speaker 4: put somebody up that was not ready.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 5: It's not just Taylor's fault there.
- 18:39Speaker 4: No, the show said yes to it. And it was
- 18:41Speaker 4: because she makes good TV.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And it was because Taylor gave them exactly more of what,
- 18:48Speaker 2: she does on the other show that they love so
- 18:51Speaker 2: i i and these people make tv for a living
- 18:54Speaker 2: so not i mean i'm not coming for anyone specific
- 18:57Speaker 2: but the writing was on the wall i don't think
- 18:59Speaker 2: anyone's shocked that it crashed and burns it's just unfortunate
- 19:01Speaker 2: that it was.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Such a burn yeah and it's sad i mean it
- 19:06Speaker 4: is like you said yeah i mean i think it's
- 19:08Speaker 4: been our sentiment You know, we want Taylor to be
- 19:11Speaker 4: well just as a human from what we know. But goodness,
- 19:14Speaker 4: there's kids involved. And when there's kids involved, I think
- 19:17Speaker 4: it's just all of a sudden becomes elevated. And then,
- 19:21Speaker 4: you know, lives are being affected and passed around and
- 19:23Speaker 4: changed because of the behaviors of adults. Speaking of behaviors
- 19:29Speaker 4: of adults and speaking of people ready to find love,
- 19:34Speaker 4: Grant was the lead of your season.
- 19:37Speaker 6: So true. Yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Recently, you and Grant have had an interaction on social media.
- 19:43Speaker 4: We had Julianne on the show months ago when she
- 19:46Speaker 4: kind of announced her new boyfriend.
- 19:49Speaker 5: It was interesting. She made it seem like they were married,
- 19:51Speaker 5: but they definitely weren't.
- 19:53Speaker 4: No, no. At the time, her boyfriend, we were like,
- 19:55Speaker 4: you're definitely married. And she kind of like hinted at
- 19:57Speaker 4: maybe we are, but they're not. She felt for Grant,
- 20:01Speaker 4: which I think, goodness, if I had a serious relationship
- 20:06Speaker 4: with somebody And somebody interviewed them afterwards and they're like,
- 20:10Speaker 4: I want Ben to be okay because I feel for him.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Like he's missing the mark here in life. I would
- 20:17Speaker 4: listen to that and feel so small and so bad.
- 20:22Speaker 4: What's your sentiment towards Grant now? I think would be
- 20:24Speaker 4: the best way to summarize all that I just said
- 20:27Speaker 4: was when you think about Grant Ellis and your time
- 20:30Speaker 4: on the show and how he's out there talking to people,
- 20:33Speaker 4: what's your feelings towards the man?
- 20:35Speaker 6: Oh, I'm rooting for him.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Goodness gracious no I'm I I'm being facetious just because
- 20:41Speaker 2: of what you just said but yeah I think that
- 20:44Speaker 2: um he's learning he's doing his best and I think
- 20:49Speaker 2: that he's a good guy and you know he doesn't
- 20:53Speaker 2: always deliver everything that he wants to say in the
- 20:59Speaker 2: way that would work best for him or for anyone
- 21:02Speaker 2: else I think he just is figuring it out just
- 21:05Speaker 2: like we all are and I definitely just like you
- 21:11Speaker 2: know put my head in my hands a little bit
- 21:13Speaker 2: sometimes when I see his stuff but it's like I
- 21:17Speaker 2: mean yeah will you ask me the question again sorry
- 21:20Speaker 2: I'm like so I actually have so many thoughts about
- 21:23Speaker 2: it I'm like what exactly was the question because I'm
- 21:25Speaker 2: like said Juliana and then I'm like I can comment
- 21:27Speaker 2: on her thing I can comment on Grant's thing I
- 21:29Speaker 2: just think Um, he's a good guy.
- 21:32Speaker 6: Um, bless his heart.
- 21:33Speaker 2: And like, we're, it's all, it's all good. Like it's all,
- 21:37Speaker 2: and that's, it's going to make him feel small too,
- 21:38Speaker 2: but that's honestly how I feel. Like it's not, and
- 21:41Speaker 2: I don't mean it in any kind of like passive
- 21:43Speaker 2: aggressive patronizing way. I like, that's, I mean, authentically how
- 21:48Speaker 2: I feel. He says things that piss me off still online.
- 21:53Speaker 2: He says things about my family, says things about me.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But I don't think that he means anything by it.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I think a lot of times he just kind of
- 22:00Speaker 2: wants to generate a little bit of buzz and attention
- 22:03Speaker 2: or it's just generally his feelings and he doesn't care
- 22:05Speaker 2: to filter them.
- 22:06Speaker 4: But isn't the pursuit of garnering attention and saying things
- 22:15Speaker 4: that are out there or just like that make you
- 22:20Speaker 4: put your heads in their hands, isn't that behavior that
- 22:22Speaker 4: you say, hey, I would like you to stop it?
- 22:25Speaker 5: Oh, I have.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I do.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I think his first message to me was just basically
- 22:30Speaker 2: like mending fences. And that was like a few months ago.
- 22:32Speaker 2: He talked about it on a different podcast.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Someone sent me a clip.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I think it was on Rachel and Charity's podcast. And
- 22:38Speaker 2: he just reached out to me and said, hey, sorry
- 22:41Speaker 2: for how everything went down and hope you're doing well.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Sorry about everything I said about Mormons and your family.
- 22:46Speaker 6: And I just said, no worries.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Like, he had said something that was offensive a few
- 22:52Speaker 2: days before he wrote that message. I was like, it's mess.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It's stuff like this that keeps happening is that is
- 22:57Speaker 2: what makes me mad. But if you can, you know,
- 23:00Speaker 2: stay in line, we're all good. Okay.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Well, we got to get into the hairy part.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Your cousin, your cousin, Amber ends up winning.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Harry Josie season of marry Harry. Let's marry Harry, which.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Is funny about that is that they, so two of
- 23:28Speaker 2: the bachelor producers had reached out to go on Harry's show.
- 23:31Speaker 5: They wanted you to go on Harry's show because bachelor
- 23:34Speaker 5: production was heavily involved in creating this show.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Some of the producers, some of the producers, uh, so
- 23:42Speaker 2: like some of the crew that were on bachelor, uh,
- 23:49Speaker 2: were on, um, let's marry Harry. And so some of the,
- 23:52Speaker 2: during the casting process, one of them had reached out
- 23:54Speaker 2: and had been like, he's serious. Harry's serious about getting married,
- 23:58Speaker 2: but you're the girl, you're the serious girl. You're the
- 24:02Speaker 2: serious about marriage girl. Um, I didn't buy it, but
- 24:05Speaker 2: I was like, my cousin is in the casting process.
- 24:08Speaker 2: And I think she actually like personality wise would actually
- 24:12Speaker 2: like be a good fit. Okay.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Then she made it on. And, um, And then they
- 24:17Speaker 6: got married.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I know.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Isn't that so nuts?
- 24:19Speaker 2: What are the odds?
- 24:20Speaker 5: So did they get married? Just tell us cousin to cousin.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I was at the wedding. I have the, like, I
- 24:25Speaker 2: have a video of their vows on, on my phone.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So like, to me, it was, it was real.
- 24:31Speaker 5: But it wasn't civil. Like it, it was like a,
- 24:33Speaker 5: a ceremony, but it wasn't like legally.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Apparently they didn't file it. Like you can take the
- 24:39Speaker 2: license and then something like that. But I, yeah, I
- 24:45Speaker 2: don't know. I, I guess it wasn't real because they
- 24:48Speaker 2: didn't ever file it, but it wasn't anything from, it
- 24:53Speaker 2: seemed real from where I was sitting.
- 24:54Speaker 5: But did she sign a piece of paper?
- 24:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Yeah. Supposedly when I talked to her, she was saying
- 25:02Speaker 4: that the show told her, hey, if we file it,
- 25:05Speaker 4: it becomes public. And that is true. So like, maybe
- 25:08Speaker 4: that was their out the whole time. If we file
- 25:10Speaker 4: the paperwork, it becomes public. And so people would know
- 25:12Speaker 4: who he chooses and we want to file it after
- 25:14Speaker 4: the show airs. but in her mind, she was married
- 25:19Speaker 4: to Harry.
- 25:20Speaker 2: She didn't have possession of that certificate. So in her mind,
- 25:23Speaker 2: she had signed it and taken it away. And the
- 25:25Speaker 2: show is called let's marry Harry. So she's like, I mean,
- 25:28Speaker 2: you told me that I was married. You put me
- 25:30Speaker 2: in a wedding dress and I said, like, you know.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Where have we gotten to guys as a world where
- 25:37Speaker 4: we're now making a joke of the sacred, uh, vows
- 25:43Speaker 4: of marriage and commitment to marriage to where we're like
- 25:46Speaker 4: yeah that wasn't actually real we just threw you in
- 25:48Speaker 4: a dress had you share share these things and then
- 25:52Speaker 4: it's not actually a marriage.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Very quick baby to me because i think the show
- 25:57Speaker 2: would have been just as interesting if it wasn't ending
- 26:00Speaker 2: in a marriage.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yeah they didn't need to do marriage.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Is a little bit of a reach i don't think
- 26:05Speaker 2: like people are gonna watch girls fight over a man
- 26:08Speaker 2: whether they're getting married at the end or not yeah.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So then after this finale and she was all upset
- 26:16Speaker 1: and just days later talks to Ben and is obviously upset.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Then Grant goes on line somewhere and says that your
- 26:28Speaker 1: cousin ended up pulling similar moves as you after your finale?
- 26:36Speaker 5: Tell us about it.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Well, he said I was like coaching. He's like, oh,
- 26:39Speaker 2: I could tell that you coached her.
- 26:41Speaker 6: Because I was having flashbacks. I was like, okay.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I don't know. Like, I'm like, it's just
- 26:48Speaker 2: like him making it about himself and commenting on it.
- 26:51Speaker 6: And it's okay.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Like, yeah, you both got embarrassed by girls that you
- 26:58Speaker 2: were mean to.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Like, it's true.
- 27:00Speaker 2: That is something that you can connect on. I think
- 27:02Speaker 2: it's like silly. We didn't coach. Amber and I are
- 27:05Speaker 2: very different people. And we have very different experiences with
- 27:08Speaker 2: different men. So, yeah. I was very, I encouraged her
- 27:11Speaker 2: to definitely say everything that she wanted to say and
- 27:16Speaker 2: get it all out there. But I wasn't coaching her.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And also I'm like, you guys saw her. You think
- 27:23Speaker 2: that girl could be coached?
- 27:24Speaker 5: That's what I mean. Like in those moments, no shot.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Those moments are authentic. Yeah. So then you also wrote
- 27:35Speaker 5: back to him saying something like, yeah, la la la la,
- 27:38Speaker 5: don't delete this the way you usually do. Does he
- 27:40Speaker 5: like to delete things on Instagram when he gets schooled?
- 27:45Speaker 2: He'll like leave a comment and then delete it. He
- 27:47Speaker 2: did it on, he does it on Chase's videos sometimes
- 27:50Speaker 2: where he'll like leave a comment and then delete it
- 27:52Speaker 2: and then leave a different one. And so I was
- 27:54Speaker 2: just teasing him because I knew he was going to
- 27:58Speaker 2: have second thoughts.
- 27:59Speaker 6: Stand on it, bud. Say it with your chest.
- 28:01Speaker 4: You know, I, being going through this process myself. And
- 28:04Speaker 4: I had, I think I would argue had the best
- 28:07Speaker 4: cast of women of all time. I just, I'm, I
- 28:10Speaker 4: think they're awesome. I had a great group. Um, but there,
- 28:16Speaker 4: I mean, I really wanted them to be like, Hey,
- 28:18Speaker 4: at least I'm glad I came. Like, he's, he's not
- 28:20Speaker 4: my guy. He's a little weird, but like, I'm least
- 28:23Speaker 4: like gave it a good shot and he, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 4: it didn't work out. You get a pretty good picture
- 28:29Speaker 4: of what women after the show you could, um, like
- 28:35Speaker 4: you wouldn't want to mess with. Like, not that I
- 28:37Speaker 4: mess with any of them. I was very like excited
- 28:40Speaker 4: about all the women I had. There was nobody that
- 28:42Speaker 4: was like, Hey, they, they are this or they are
- 28:44Speaker 4: that like none of that. There's no hard feelings, right?
- 28:47Speaker 4: Like Jojo, incredible person had no hard feelings. And she
- 28:51Speaker 4: was like, you know, sad for two months and then
- 28:54Speaker 4: got married, you would definitely be somebody I would never
- 28:57Speaker 4: mess with. Like I would a hundred percent be like, Hey, uh, yeah,
- 29:02Speaker 4: she like yelled at me at the final thing. And
- 29:05Speaker 4: that got a little messy. I'm not saying a word
- 29:07Speaker 4: about that girl. Like she will crush me if I like,
- 29:13Speaker 4: so why is he like, how does he like that
- 29:16Speaker 4: takes some, that takes some guts. It feels like for him. Yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 4: I mean, stupidity.
- 29:25Speaker 2: One of the two, maybe a good mix of both.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Who knows? I think that like it's also, though, at
- 29:31Speaker 2: the end of the day, like I'm very honest and direct,
- 29:34Speaker 2: but it's not much deeper than that. Like, I'll tell
- 29:36Speaker 2: you exactly what I think you need to hear in
- 29:39Speaker 2: whatever moment. But after that, it's like, I'm not holding grudges.
- 29:42Speaker 2: I'm not doing big vendettas. And he, I think knows that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: So when he steps out of line, I'm happy to
- 29:48Speaker 2: just invite him back where, you know, we can all
- 29:53Speaker 2: be friends again. Um, but in, you know, he will
- 29:57Speaker 2: step back out and then he just gets reminded, I guess.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Well, you mentioned before your podcast, uh, with Chase, you
- 30:06Speaker 1: mentioned Chase and he was your co-host on your podcast.
- 30:09Speaker 5: What's up with the podcast? We haven't seen anything come out.
- 30:12Speaker 2: No, I know the lovely lawyers at, um, ABC and
- 30:16Speaker 2: Warner Brothers let us know that they were not excited
- 30:20Speaker 2: about our podcast and invited us to stop making episodes.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Invited us to stop. This is why we don't mess
- 30:28Speaker 5: with Latia. She's going to be amazing like that.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so good.
- 30:33Speaker 5: And just to let the audience know, if they didn't know, um,
- 30:37Speaker 5: your podcast with Chase, he's also from house, um, Mormon wives. Sorry.
- 30:41Speaker 5: I always like to call it Mormon. Mormon wives. Um,
- 30:46Speaker 5: and it was, it was going to be recapping those episodes, right?
- 30:49Speaker 2: I mean, it was just like a little bit of advice,
- 30:54Speaker 2: a little bit of pop culture discussion.
- 30:56Speaker 5: You still under contract with ABC though. And Warner.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I'm not under contract anymore.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Um, So technically we could.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Maybe. Maybe we will.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Ashley, Latia, I apologize for doing this like you're not here.
- 31:14Speaker 4: I'm sitting here going, how in the world was she
- 31:16Speaker 4: not our bachelorette?
- 31:18Speaker 5: I know. You would have been unbelievable.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Like, was that ever even a thought, Latia?
- 31:23Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 6: I went to L.A.
- 31:24Speaker 5: I met with her.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Like, I mean, along with, you know. a dozen of
- 31:28Speaker 2: the other finest candidates that they could muster up.
- 31:31Speaker 1: But you know what the brutal truth of it is.
- 31:33Speaker 1: It's that his season didn't do well enough. So you
- 31:37Speaker 1: weren't big enough.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I think like the past, like five seasons didn't.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Do well enough.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I mean, really besides Joey's, you know?
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 5: Joey's season was a diamond in the rough over the
- 31:48Speaker 5: past few years.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 4: If I was your interviewer, I'd say, Latia, do you
- 32:04Speaker 4: want to meet somebody? Would be my first question for
- 32:07Speaker 4: you if you're going to be The Bachelorette. Do you
- 32:10Speaker 4: want to find love?
- 32:10Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 32:12Speaker 6: I love love.
- 32:14Speaker 4: And then my next question for you would be, and
- 32:16Speaker 4: I'm asking this genuinely, is are you single?
- 32:20Speaker 6: I'm so single.
- 32:21Speaker 2: It's crazy. Why?
- 32:22Speaker 4: Like, I don't get that. Like, how... How have you
- 32:26Speaker 4: gotten off of all these dating shows? You've put out
- 32:27Speaker 4: to the world, hey, I want to meet someone. Well,
- 32:29Speaker 4: it's only been the one. She's only been on one
- 32:31Speaker 4: dating show. I guess one show, yes. But you've put
- 32:33Speaker 4: out to the world now, hey, I want to meet somebody.
- 32:36Speaker 4: I'm open to it. And nobody has came through into
- 32:41Speaker 4: your life.
- 32:42Speaker 6: It keeps me up at night, Ben.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 32:45Speaker 6: I wish I knew.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Maybe I need to be less available. Maybe I need
- 32:48Speaker 2: to say I'm not looking for love, and then it will.
- 32:51Speaker 2: magically materialize. I don't know. I don't know.
- 32:55Speaker 1: On Mormon wives, they make it seem like there's a
- 32:56Speaker 1: pretty small dating pool in Utah is, does it feel small?
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yes. A hundred percent. I don't really date a ton
- 33:03Speaker 2: in Utah. I think I, I mostly date people out
- 33:06Speaker 2: of state. Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Are people asking you out on dates?
- 33:11Speaker 2: They do sometimes. And it's, Awesome.
- 33:14Speaker 6: I love it when they do that.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 4: But you're like, you're not taking them up on it
- 33:18Speaker 4: or do you?
- 33:18Speaker 2: Oh, I'm going. Oh yeah. I'm going on dates. I
- 33:21Speaker 2: just think it just takes a lot, you know, to
- 33:24Speaker 2: be special and be in a relationship.
- 33:26Speaker 6: Like it takes a lot.
- 33:29Speaker 4: If I can do it, you can do it.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Same.
- 33:32Speaker 5: That's what I think.
- 33:33Speaker 2: That's what I think.
- 33:34Speaker 6: It's not hard. If Ben can do it, I can
- 33:36Speaker 6: do it.
- 33:37Speaker 5: No, let's see it. You are just a genius. You're
- 33:40Speaker 5: a diamond.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Like, I don't want to keep saying diamond in the rough,
- 33:44Speaker 1: but like you would have been a wonderful lead in
- 33:47Speaker 1: every single way. You check all the boxes. And oh
- 33:52Speaker 1: my gosh, it's your problem is that there's not enough
- 33:56Speaker 1: guys that match your quality.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good reason.
- 34:01Speaker 6: I'm sticking with that.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Okay. That's my reason.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I think that's when you go to bed tonight, Latia,
- 34:06Speaker 4: and you lay your head on your pillow. You remember
- 34:09Speaker 4: those words. that Ashley just shared and spoke over you,
- 34:13Speaker 4: is that there's just not enough guys that match your quality.
- 34:16Speaker 4: But there are those guys. There are.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Maybe I need to adjust my quality then, huh?
- 34:20Speaker 1: No, you just have to find the few out there. Somehow,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you know what? You know, oh, question. So, did you
- 34:29Speaker 1: see how dominant.
- 34:30Speaker 5: That trailer, that tease for Chris Harrison's new show is? Yes,
- 34:34Speaker 5: a lot of people said that. It looks like I
- 34:37Speaker 5: was so proud of them for putting it together.
- 34:41Speaker 2: He's cute.
- 34:42Speaker 5: And, you know, he's Christian.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It's more about like old school marriage values or trying
- 34:48Speaker 1: to bring it back to like what the master may
- 34:50Speaker 1: have been 20 something years ago.
- 34:55Speaker 4: What if you were the lead of that 10 years ago? Okay.
- 34:58Speaker 1: 10 years ago and same 11 years ago. So back
- 35:01Speaker 1: to what it was 11 years ago. What do you
- 35:05Speaker 1: think if they were to ever ask you to be
- 35:07Speaker 1: the lead of that show? Because you are, you know,
- 35:10Speaker 1: you have, you're a woman of faith.
- 35:14Speaker 6: Is it a faith-based dating show?
- 35:15Speaker 5: It's not 100%, but yes.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Okay. I mean, I'm definitely open for sure. I think
- 35:22Speaker 2: I love Chris Harrison. I think that he brought something
- 35:26Speaker 2: special and awesome to Bachelor that it has been missing.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Not to say anything wrong against Jesse because I also
- 35:32Speaker 2: love Jesse.
- 35:32Speaker 5: Definitely nothing wrong against Jesse. No, not at all.
- 35:36Speaker 6: And it's probably a multitude of things.
- 35:38Speaker 2: It's not the only change that's been made in 11 years.
- 35:40Speaker 6: I would.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I'm excited to watch it and to like, I'll have
- 35:45Speaker 2: a better answer, but of course, a hundred percent.
- 35:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I'm looking for love. I'm looking for something fun and
- 35:52Speaker 2: new opportunities. A hundred percent.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Well, I think what I would envision is the conversation
- 35:57Speaker 4: that you and Grant had, I remember at your hometown
- 36:01Speaker 4: that like on the surface spoken to your family and
- 36:06Speaker 4: your faith traditions and how you guys operate would be
- 36:09Speaker 4: a consistent thing throughout the what Chris's new show is doing.
- 36:13Speaker 4: And so those conversations would not just end after an hour.
- 36:17Speaker 4: They would, they would exist in entirety through the whole thing.
- 36:21Speaker 4: And then at the end, you guys could say, yes,
- 36:22Speaker 4: I'm into this or I'm not. And that's okay. But
- 36:26Speaker 4: you at least know, and it's not like a, all
- 36:28Speaker 4: of a sudden you're getting slapped across the face with, Hey,
- 36:31Speaker 4: and this is how my family lives. Take it or not.
- 36:33Speaker 4: You have two hours to decide. And I think that's important,
- 36:37Speaker 4: especially in dating. It kind of feels like what dating is.
- 36:40Speaker 6: A hundred percent.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I think too, one thing that I'm would be excited about,
- 36:45Speaker 2: about this show is that because the faith part is
- 36:48Speaker 2: kind of addressed in the beginning, that that's part of
- 36:50Speaker 2: what everyone's doing. It wouldn't be this huge anomaly. Like
- 36:53Speaker 2: it was like, I feel like my entire arc was like,
- 36:57Speaker 2: She's great, but she's Mormon. Everybody like be careful because
- 37:02Speaker 2: she's crazy. Like, so I think that getting that kind
- 37:06Speaker 2: of like novelty out of the way and just being like,
- 37:09Speaker 2: I love God. Crazy, I know. But if we can
- 37:11Speaker 2: also move past that, I'm a person with a lot
- 37:14Speaker 2: of other things that are interesting and unique about me.
- 37:17Speaker 2: So I think that would be something fun. And I
- 37:20Speaker 2: don't only date Mormon guys. That's the other thing that
- 37:22Speaker 2: I always keep saying. So I would be interested and
- 37:25Speaker 2: excited to meet. Guys from different places and different backgrounds
- 37:29Speaker 2: with different beliefs.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Guys not to, you know, make fun.
- 37:34Speaker 1: But do we think that ABC may have invited The
- 37:38Speaker 1: Vow to stop promoting that teaser?
- 37:42Speaker 4: Yes, I 100% think they've invited The Vow to stop.
- 37:45Speaker 4: And I don't think Fox is going to respond immediately.
- 37:48Speaker 5: I'm like, no.
- 37:49Speaker 2: And if I'm them, I'm like, way to kick us
- 37:51Speaker 2: when we're down. Literally, like he's been waiting for this.
- 37:55Speaker 2: It's like at their lowest moment comes out with an
- 37:58Speaker 2: awesome show. Yeah.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Somehow Chris Harrison has the perfect timing yet again to say, hey,
- 38:03Speaker 4: we're just going to film this show, have it in
- 38:05Speaker 4: the back pocket. And then right when The Bachelor has
- 38:08Speaker 4: not aired. For a year.
- 38:10Speaker 5: What's that?
- 38:11Speaker 2: Everybody misses old bachelor and we don't have a season.
- 38:13Speaker 4: I know. Hi guys.
- 38:15Speaker 5: It was a little bit of a karmic. Hello.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Goodness gracious. It's hilarious. And he knows what he's doing.
- 38:26Speaker 4: He does. He's good at it. Latia, as we close
- 38:30Speaker 4: up here, we really did mean it. And I know
- 38:33Speaker 4: that grant season did what it did and, I know
- 38:38Speaker 4: Let's Marry Harry did what it did, and I know
- 38:40Speaker 4: the headlines of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives do what
- 38:42Speaker 4: they do. But for you personally, for people that just
- 38:46Speaker 4: want to engage in your life and celebrate you and
- 38:48Speaker 4: support you, how can they best do that right now?
- 38:51Speaker 4: What is going on in your world that you would
- 38:54Speaker 4: want to tell everybody out there listening, this is what's
- 38:57Speaker 4: going on, this is who I am, and this is
- 38:59Speaker 4: where you can help me out?
- 39:02Speaker 6: Um, well, I'm Latia. I'm a Pisces.
- 39:05Speaker 2: You can.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Um, yeah, I'm still just figuring it all out, but
- 39:11Speaker 2: I'm definitely open to love. Ask me on a date
- 39:14Speaker 2: if you're normal and cool and fun. And that's dangerous.
- 39:19Speaker 6: Click my links, you.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Know, click the links. That is how you support us.
- 39:23Speaker 2: That's how you support me.

- 39:32Speaker 5: gem and we love having you here thank you for
- 39:37Speaker 5: giving us so much today like you are kind of
- 39:41Speaker 5: involved in a lot of things that we talk about
- 39:45Speaker 5: here No.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I feel like I'm involved in everything and I gave nothing.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but it's fun to talk to you guys.
- 39:53Speaker 6: I always love chatting.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Thanks so much for having me on.
- 39:56Speaker 4: We're going to have to find more ways to get
- 39:58Speaker 4: you back here because you are good at this.
- 40:02Speaker 2: We should recap the vow.
- 40:04Speaker 4: That would be terrific because we would recap the vow
- 40:08Speaker 4: with the person that's going to lead the second season
- 40:10Speaker 4: of the vow as the first female lead of it
- 40:13Speaker 4: and we would have her right here with us, Ashley.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Latia, don't tease us.
- 40:19Speaker 1: We would actually love to have you be our third one.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Yeah, let's do it.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Let's book it on the calendar. Hey, Latia, you are great.

- 40:30Speaker 4: look forward to more updates and more headlines that you

- 40:36Speaker 4: with them. Hey, this has been the Almost Famous Podcast.
