• 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,000 It's still real to me, damn it! 2 00:00:02,000 --> 00:00:13,000 What up, you! 3 00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:17,500 Oh, welcome everybody! 4 00:00:17,500 --> 00:00:21,000 Welcome to this week's edition of the Sto Real Bus Show 5 00:00:21,000 --> 00:00:26,000 Ep 793 for April 24, 2025 6 00:00:26,000 --> 00:00:29,000 This is your DevanoWheel WrestleMania 41 weekend recap 7 00:00:29,000 --> 00:00:34,000 and review edition of SRTU 8 00:00:34,000 --> 00:00:37,000 I am on after show, I am Jeff Peck 9 00:00:37,000 --> 00:00:41,000 joined every single week my co-host, Louis Dr. Dre Franklin 10 00:00:41,000 --> 00:00:46,000 Dr. Dre, we survived another WrestleMania weekend, my friend 11 00:00:46,000 --> 00:00:50,000 Yeah, I am exhausted, but I will say this 12 00:00:50,000 --> 00:00:54,000 And I thought about it as I was watching WrestleMania 13 00:00:54,000 --> 00:00:59,000 You and I have been together roughly 14 years 14 00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:05,000 and never once have I decided that I had to low blow you to get my point across 15 00:01:05,000 --> 00:01:10,000 So I'm very proud of that fact Jeff, never in 15 years have I 16 00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:13,000 thrusted my forearm into your genitalia 17 00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:17,000 This was the weekend of backstabs in WWE 18 00:01:17,000 --> 00:01:22,000 I think there may have been a backstab in at least 19 00:01:22,000 --> 00:01:26,000 Two of the four, if I look at the weekend 20 00:01:26,000 --> 00:01:31,000 So for counting Friday, SmackDown, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 21 00:01:31,000 --> 00:01:37,000 There was about two, there was three total backstabs that immediately come to mind 22 00:01:37,000 --> 00:01:41,000 Two that happened on the same day, one that happened two days later 23 00:01:41,000 --> 00:01:46,000 This was just, this was not a good weekend for friendships Dr. Dre 24 00:01:46,000 --> 00:01:56,000 No, I mean, I instantly, like, part of me always goes to, and I think that it a great job in triple ages 25 00:01:56,000 --> 00:01:59,000 All of Thanksgiving, like who he learned from 26 00:01:59,000 --> 00:02:05,000 This felt very much like a dusty road, but kind of weekend 27 00:02:05,000 --> 00:02:09,000 Like a lot of odd finishes, a lot of turns 28 00:02:09,000 --> 00:02:15,000 But I was thinking about it, like, did you ever think in your mind that at one point 29 00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:23,000 Like, John Cena, Naomi, the new day and Becky Lynch, but all the heels at the same time 30 00:02:23,000 --> 00:02:24,000 No 31 00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:29,000 Like that, those are like, I mean, new day, John Cena, I mean those are like almost damn near 32 00:02:29,000 --> 00:02:35,000 Like, Lynch pin baby faces of the time that we've been doing this show 33 00:02:35,000 --> 00:02:42,000 Naomi's always been a baby face in WWE other than when she was in team bad for a little bit 34 00:02:42,000 --> 00:02:50,000 And, you know, Becky as the man is maybe the greatest baby face run, short run 35 00:02:50,000 --> 00:02:56,000 We've seen in our S-R-T-U era, like Austin, obviously ahead of her 36 00:02:56,000 --> 00:02:59,000 But for what she did and how she kind of changed women's wrestling 37 00:02:59,000 --> 00:03:03,000 And now, after this weekend, they're all villains 38 00:03:03,000 --> 00:03:07,000 And I think, and I'm here for it, because I'm just like, this is awesome 39 00:03:07,000 --> 00:03:18,000 It's so much fun, it's so out of left field and it's just giving new wrinkles on to people that in some ways have become kind of stale 40 00:03:18,000 --> 00:03:25,000 See, this is a topic for a conversation for another time, because I always feel like when we talk about character development, professional wrestling 41 00:03:25,000 --> 00:03:31,000 We never sit here where like, man, they are really doing a great job, there's so much depth, uniqueness, creativity 42 00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:40,000 And when we're talking about a baby face, like 9.9 times out of 10, there is a new depth, uniqueness, creativity 43 00:03:40,000 --> 00:03:46,000 And you could just tell the person themselves is really sick of their teeth into their character when they turn heel 44 00:03:46,000 --> 00:03:53,000 And you could use that example for the new day, John Cena, Naomi right now 45 00:03:53,000 --> 00:03:58,000 I mean, it's like you see them turn heel and it's like, man, this is another layer, another level 46 00:03:58,000 --> 00:04:03,000 And it's so unique, so fun to watch as a fan, we felt that way when Roman Reigns finally turned heel 47 00:04:03,000 --> 00:04:10,000 It's crazy and you can make a case for it for somebody who won the main event on Saturday night in the same realm as well 48 00:04:10,000 --> 00:04:13,000 And then even someone that lost on Sunday 49 00:04:13,000 --> 00:04:18,000 A big name from wrestling any weekend was Dominic Mysterio 50 00:04:18,000 --> 00:04:26,000 I mean, he was a boring, white meat, 1980s baby face that I could not stand 51 00:04:26,000 --> 00:04:34,000 He becomes a heel and all of a sudden he is unique, cool, fun, got great depth, layers to him 52 00:04:34,000 --> 00:04:38,000 And you could see the person is sunk into his character 53 00:04:38,000 --> 00:04:53,000 And that's what, that's professional wrestling in the nutshell, the only time a heel is allowed to, or excuse me, a wrestler is allowed to really have some depth and creativity that characters when they turn heel 54 00:04:53,000 --> 00:05:00,000 Maybe, just maybe professional wrestling as a whole should consider ways of trying to do the same thing for the baby face 55 00:05:00,000 --> 00:05:02,000 Because I do think there's a way to do that 56 00:05:02,000 --> 00:05:05,000 But that's a discussion for another day, Dr. Trey 57 00:05:05,000 --> 00:05:08,000 Let's get into it because we have a lot of ground to cover 58 00:05:08,000 --> 00:05:14,000 WrestleMania 41 recap interview this past Saturday and Sunday from Allegian Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada 59 00:05:14,000 --> 00:05:24,000 Let's get to the first match here, J. Uso defeats Gunther to win the World of the Way champion, Champion, I both had J. Uso in this one 60 00:05:24,000 --> 00:05:27,000 This was a good match, but I hated the finish 61 00:05:27,000 --> 00:05:34,000 I really wish they milked the finish and let Gunther tease not tapping out before ultimately tapping out 62 00:05:34,000 --> 00:05:40,000 My concern with J is the World Champion now is how they handle him as the "underrated baby face" champion 63 00:05:40,000 --> 00:05:46,000 Because Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterer and Kofi Kingston just to name a few, their runs haven't been great for at least their first title run 64 00:05:46,000 --> 00:05:50,000 Ultimately, I'm extremely happy for the success that is J. Uso 65 00:05:50,000 --> 00:05:55,000 But again, going back to the finish itself, it's like, I'm all for Gunther tapping out 66 00:05:55,000 --> 00:06:04,000 I wish they kind of had a little bit of Easter eggs in there, maybe J and those last couple of promos was like, "I'm not gonna just beat you, I'm gonna make you tap out" 67 00:06:04,000 --> 00:06:08,000 And Gunther's like, "You can't make me tap out whatsoever" 68 00:06:08,000 --> 00:06:17,000 And then they get to WrestleMania, slap on the chokehold and it takes forever for Gunther to tap out 69 00:06:17,000 --> 00:06:24,000 He's reaching for the ropes, he's scratching and clawing and J's rolling back towards the center of the ring and that's when Gunther taps out 70 00:06:24,000 --> 00:06:28,000 J slapped it on, leaning backwards, Gunther tapped out immediately 71 00:06:28,000 --> 00:06:32,000 That was bizarre to me, Dr. Tray, for two guys who are a really good professional wrestlers 72 00:06:32,000 --> 00:06:34,000 Your thoughts on this one? 73 00:06:34,000 --> 00:06:43,000 Yes, I thought the match was okay and part of it is, I love J. Uso's energy, I love his personality, I love it these days 74 00:06:43,000 --> 00:06:47,000 I don't know if I like watching him wrestle 75 00:06:47,000 --> 00:06:55,000 And I'm watching this and this goes to, like, I don't know J. Uso has an original move in his moveset 76 00:06:55,000 --> 00:07:03,000 Like, this may be an old reference for some folks, he's kind of the Carlos Mencia of wrestling 77 00:07:03,000 --> 00:07:07,000 Where Carlos Mencia was known as being a joke thief 78 00:07:07,000 --> 00:07:14,000 I kind of feel like J. Uso's move thief, like, it's like, "Oh, Uso's Blash Superfly, the spear from Roman" 79 00:07:14,000 --> 00:07:19,000 Now he's like, did the power bomb and slapped on the sleeper from Gunther's? 80 00:07:19,000 --> 00:07:29,000 Like, alright, he just steals a lot of moves, but yeah, the finish was awful, like, he's never used that move in his life 81 00:07:29,000 --> 00:07:34,000 He didn't even have a hook dawn very well, like, it was a sloppy looking sleeper 82 00:07:34,000 --> 00:07:38,000 And Gunther taps out in like two seconds 83 00:07:38,000 --> 00:07:44,000 So, it was, it looked bad and then Gunther tapping out so quick 84 00:07:44,000 --> 00:07:53,000 But what happens, like, this is a guy who, like, would not tap out to Chad Gable's ankle log when they were feuding over the intercontinental title 85 00:07:53,000 --> 00:07:56,000 But he tapped out to a sleeper in two seconds 86 00:07:56,000 --> 00:07:59,000 Like, that's just, yeah, they should have milked that 87 00:07:59,000 --> 00:08:05,000 I don't know if that was just short on time, go to the finish, tap out right 88 00:08:05,000 --> 00:08:11,000 Like, it just, it felt the last 30 seconds of that match just felt completely out of place 89 00:08:11,000 --> 00:08:17,000 And it kind of taint the match for me, so to speak, but I am happy for Jay 90 00:08:17,000 --> 00:08:26,000 He's a wonderful, entertaining persona, but it just, it left a really bitter taste in my mouth to kick off WrestleMania 91 00:08:26,000 --> 00:08:32,000 Let's get to the next match here of the new day to beat the war raiders to win the World Tag Team Championship 92 00:08:32,000 --> 00:08:34,000 We both had the war raiders in this one 93 00:08:34,000 --> 00:08:37,000 Solid Tag Team match, but another finish that I was the biggest fan of 94 00:08:37,000 --> 00:08:41,000 Because it didn't feel like it built up to that moment and the finish caught me out of nowhere 95 00:08:41,000 --> 00:08:46,000 Not sure if that is crowd-related because it's so hard to feel the reactions in a football stadium show like this 96 00:08:46,000 --> 00:08:52,000 But with that said, this version of the new day has a really good chance of helping elevate the Raw Tag Team division to bigger heights 97 00:08:52,000 --> 00:08:58,000 Dr. Trey, your thoughts on this one is the new day have the World Tag Team Championship back around their waist 98 00:08:58,000 --> 00:09:01,000 Yeah, I totally blame you for this one because I was picking the new day 99 00:09:01,000 --> 00:09:04,000 And then the biggie, your biggie, Angle won me over 100 00:09:04,000 --> 00:09:07,000 So yeah, I lost this one because of you 101 00:09:07,000 --> 00:09:10,000 I thought the match was fine 102 00:09:10,000 --> 00:09:16,000 Having the war raiders in anything is different because they're so big and they're so massive 103 00:09:16,000 --> 00:09:19,000 It's kind of hard to make them feel like underdogs 104 00:09:19,000 --> 00:09:22,000 Which is what you kind of want your baby face to be at times 105 00:09:22,000 --> 00:09:27,000 It just kind of seemed like the Tag Team comp, Newtie was really good 106 00:09:27,000 --> 00:09:31,000 The finish wasn't so much that I was out of nowhere 107 00:09:31,000 --> 00:09:37,000 It felt clunky, it's really hard to get eye of our bent over your knee to hit that move 108 00:09:37,000 --> 00:09:39,000 It just didn't look great 109 00:09:39,000 --> 00:09:44,000 A bit of it looked a little cleaner and a little more impactful 110 00:09:44,000 --> 00:09:46,000 Been a much better finish 111 00:09:46,000 --> 00:09:52,000 But yeah, like I said, you don't want Eric taking that move after he just recovered from next surgery like eight months ago 112 00:09:52,000 --> 00:09:56,000 So I'm glad I love the new day's heels 113 00:09:56,000 --> 00:09:58,000 I'm really enjoying what they're doing 114 00:09:58,000 --> 00:10:03,000 I know the crowd kind of, it's been really super hot and kind of tapered off 115 00:10:03,000 --> 00:10:08,000 But I mean, these guys could easily be the modern day version of what the freebirds were 116 00:10:08,000 --> 00:10:12,000 As far as like their arrogance and cockiness and all of that stuff 117 00:10:12,000 --> 00:10:14,000 So like I'm here for it, I love it 118 00:10:14,000 --> 00:10:21,000 I'm glad to see them get a reward for doing something so out of character to switch completely 119 00:10:21,000 --> 00:10:24,000 And then take this chance on being heels 120 00:10:24,000 --> 00:10:32,000 So I think just from my own good here, I've been talking about this here and there since the whole angle back in the fall of the new day kicking Biggie out 121 00:10:32,000 --> 00:10:38,000 We had predicted a last week's show or I had predicted I thought Biggie was going to make a return here 122 00:10:38,000 --> 00:10:39,000 And a fear somehow 123 00:10:39,000 --> 00:10:44,000 I think at this point, Dr. Trey, I think we could probably come to the grips 124 00:10:44,000 --> 00:10:49,000 Unfortunately, that Biggie's in-ring career, career's professional wrestler at this point is done 125 00:10:49,000 --> 00:10:52,000 And he's just an analyst at this point 126 00:10:52,000 --> 00:10:56,000 I can't see any type of opening unless he gets cleared here in the next couple of years 127 00:10:56,000 --> 00:11:02,000 Like an edge or page or getting a Bryant situation where he returns to the ring 128 00:11:02,000 --> 00:11:07,000 Yeah, I still thought that angle could have played off if they had just at least hit the music 129 00:11:07,000 --> 00:11:10,000 It had him walk out and the new day get distracted 130 00:11:10,000 --> 00:11:19,000 And that could have been a good close but hey, they may be saving that for whoever they're planning on taking the belts off the new day 131 00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:23,000 And then we had to move that tag team up and send them up 132 00:11:23,000 --> 00:11:32,000 The war writers are kind of established so maybe they're just trying to save it for a special occasion to help launch the next great baby face tag team 133 00:11:32,000 --> 00:11:35,000 Next match here is Jade Cargo, the feeding Naomi 134 00:11:35,000 --> 00:11:37,000 We both had Jade Cargo on this one 135 00:11:37,000 --> 00:11:42,000 It was a pretty good match, one of the best singles matches I've seen from Jade Cargo since she debuted in AW several years ago 136 00:11:42,000 --> 00:11:47,000 The no-look electric tear into a power bomb was in the same move by Jade 137 00:11:47,000 --> 00:11:55,000 I love the change for Naomi's new character and I hope it continues to grow because I think she could have a big 2025 despite the rest of many of the loss 138 00:11:55,000 --> 00:12:04,000 I said on last week's podcast I feel like Naomi could have a live Morgan-esque year in 2025 just on her heel turn in the character development that she has had 139 00:12:04,000 --> 00:12:08,000 This was a great match, Dr. Trab, I really enjoyed this one from Jade and Naomi 140 00:12:08,000 --> 00:12:12,000 Yeah, it was better than I expected and maybe that's where it comes in 141 00:12:12,000 --> 00:12:18,000 Where's my expectations were a little low, it exceeded them 142 00:12:18,000 --> 00:12:23,000 Did Jane get a haircut or is that just she just went with her net? 143 00:12:23,000 --> 00:12:28,000 I don't know if she had, I don't know, the short hair threw me off when you see the long hair on the background 144 00:12:28,000 --> 00:12:35,000 But yeah, Jade still got somewhere, there's still a couple little spots in there where her footwork was off, her spacing was off 145 00:12:35,000 --> 00:12:43,000 But outside of that solid, that electric share drop into a power bomb, I thought she killed Naomi 146 00:12:43,000 --> 00:12:49,000 I thought Naomi was hurt, so I haven't seen anybody say that she is, so that's good 147 00:12:49,000 --> 00:12:59,000 And yeah, like my only worry about Naomi is where she lands on the SmackDown card because you still have Charlotte 148 00:12:59,000 --> 00:13:13,000 Does Naomi slide up as the number two heel on that brand? And then does anybody else move over from RAW coming out from WrestleMania? 149 00:13:13,000 --> 00:13:22,000 So if she's still at number two spot, she's right there and I mean she's still got Nia as well, so that's my only worry is where does she slot in? 150 00:13:22,000 --> 00:13:27,000 And can't she make the most of any opportunity she gets? 151 00:13:27,000 --> 00:13:33,000 Next match here is Jacob Fatu defeating LA Knight to win the United States Championship of Dr. Shriyan on Jacob Fatu and this one 152 00:13:33,000 --> 00:13:42,000 Jacob Fatu may be the best near fall guy in all of WWE because he seems to kick out just at the right time which makes the match build with excitement like in this one 153 00:13:42,000 --> 00:13:47,000 I really enjoyed this match Dr. Trey, I thought they had a pretty good chemistry 154 00:13:47,000 --> 00:13:54,000 Both these guys in a year, two years, even three years, I could see them in a main event spot at WrestleMania 155 00:13:54,000 --> 00:14:01,000 Vying for a World Championship, I enjoy this one as Jacob Fatu is our new United States Champion 156 00:14:01,000 --> 00:14:12,000 Yeah, I really enjoyed it and I love the ascension of Jacob Fatu and then just how organic the crowd, it felt weird watching the crowd try to choose between these two guys 157 00:14:12,000 --> 00:14:23,000 Because they all love LA Knight but Fatu is such an anomaly, you can't help but cheer and marvel at what he does 158 00:14:23,000 --> 00:14:30,000 This was LA Knight's best match in a long time as well, I mean those shins came matches weren't great, this was a quite worse and great 159 00:14:30,000 --> 00:14:34,000 But this one really kind of showcased what he could do 160 00:14:34,000 --> 00:14:48,000 I wouldn't be surprised to see LA Knight being one of the guys that pops up the challenge just seeing it at some point during this eul run as well because technically scene is now a SmackDown guy 161 00:14:48,000 --> 00:14:52,000 I believe so, I push him on the same brand 162 00:14:52,000 --> 00:14:59,000 Yeah, so he could be a guy that think it have him work seeing it as he gets a victory to head to the next big match 163 00:14:59,000 --> 00:15:07,000 I think it could fill or main event guy which I think is where LA Knight needs to kind of shine is offer mid card fill or main event guy 164 00:15:07,000 --> 00:15:13,000 Next, oh well hold on, I guess I don't know when we're going to address this because it's going to come out through this next match 165 00:15:13,000 --> 00:15:21,000 But let's get into it here so before we look at El Grande, Americana and Ray Phoenix, the news on Saturday, we had not heard about this at all 166 00:15:21,000 --> 00:15:29,000 There was no rumblings of this, the only thing I saw was during annexi standard deliver, WrestleVotes tweeted out 167 00:15:29,000 --> 00:15:38,000 WWE is going to announce a annexi world's collide with AAA Mexico for June I think in Los Angeles, he had tweeted out 168 00:15:38,000 --> 00:15:45,000 And then like an hour later, I was not watching the pre show because I was watching stand deliver live, I was a little bit behind on that 169 00:15:45,000 --> 00:15:54,000 And then took a little break then got into WrestleMania because as we all know, WrestleMania weekend is a grind and you need to tell your family especially during a holiday weekend 170 00:15:54,000 --> 00:15:58,000 Love you by which doesn't really cut it now that I'm a 10 month old 171 00:15:58,000 --> 00:16:06,000 Nonetheless, I see online WWE acquires AAA, I'm like wait, what? No way 172 00:16:06,000 --> 00:16:12,000 And I watch the clip of Michael Cole making the announcement, I see AAA to the desk, I see the AAA 173 00:16:12,000 --> 00:16:28,000 They're family, the front office all standing there and then I see all the luchadors, I see Andrade, I see the LW, I see Ray Mysterio, Ray Phoenix, Penta 174 00:16:28,000 --> 00:16:35,000 Look at how dope fantasma, Stephanie Valkor, they're all standing there and then I see in the middle, like is that Fakingo? 175 00:16:35,000 --> 00:16:44,000 Look, I'm like holy crap it is and they make the announcement that WWE now owns AAA Mexico 176 00:16:44,000 --> 00:16:50,000 I was blown away by that because well known promotion in the United States or excuse me in the world 177 00:16:50,000 --> 00:16:56,000 And they've had some pretty decent run here in the United States, most notably in AW 178 00:16:56,000 --> 00:17:01,000 It wasn't that long ago that Kenny Omega was the AAA, mega champion, their world title 179 00:17:01,000 --> 00:17:06,000 The AAA tag team titles were defended on AW television multiple times 180 00:17:06,000 --> 00:17:16,000 Actually, the double or nothing, the first double or nothing, you have AAA Mexico championships on the line, the lucha brothers against the young box, I believe in a ladder match 181 00:17:16,000 --> 00:17:28,000 I'm like this is a big deal and I was just blown away by that, I was blown away by seeing Fakingo on WWE television because I think the last time I saw him was in AW television 182 00:17:28,000 --> 00:17:32,000 Before he was injured and then I know he returned, got injured during the TNA taping 183 00:17:32,000 --> 00:17:41,000 And we've talked about him at length, I mentioned that I thought the Kenny Omega Vickingo match on AW Dynamite a couple years ago was a breakout performance of him 184 00:17:41,000 --> 00:17:45,000 Remind him of like the first time that I watched for a Mysterio, I was like this is a massive get for them 185 00:17:45,000 --> 00:17:55,000 But looking at the onset here, Dr. Trey, WWE has made as acquired a promotion, this is the first time that they, I think they've acquired a promotion in 15-20 years 186 00:17:55,000 --> 00:18:02,000 So the last ones I could think of were obviously WCW, ECW's tape library, AWA's tape library 187 00:18:02,000 --> 00:18:08,000 But the last time actually acquiring a promotion that was legitimately running, AAA Mexico 188 00:18:08,000 --> 00:18:14,000 Of all of it that point had kind of folded, there's not many other promotions that come to mind 189 00:18:14,000 --> 00:18:23,000 At that point with the ball, the tape library then kind of offset it as a promotion below NXT to elevate people to the NXT level 190 00:18:23,000 --> 00:18:29,000 Huge news, this is massive, we really don't have any idea outside of the world's collide how this is gonna pan out 191 00:18:29,000 --> 00:18:35,000 There's been some rumbly right now that they may re-grain the promotion to NXT, Mexico which I think is a mistake 192 00:18:35,000 --> 00:18:41,000 Keep it as AAA, but nonetheless your thoughts here on WWE acquiring AAA Mexico 193 00:18:41,000 --> 00:18:50,000 Yeah, I was shocked, I told you off air like I had Rockets City going on Saturday 194 00:18:50,000 --> 00:18:55,000 I tried to avoid, I was on social media up until about bell time 195 00:18:55,000 --> 00:19:00,000 And on the drive to Rockets City I see that and at first, Jeff, I'm not gonna lie 196 00:19:00,000 --> 00:19:06,000 I thought they said WWE bought AAA, I was thinking baseball team 197 00:19:06,000 --> 00:19:12,000 I was like, why are we buying, what the hell, like Depp and then I had to read into it and then I watched the press or the conference 198 00:19:12,000 --> 00:19:17,000 I'm like, oh my god, it's just like you, I'm like, okay, well here's all those stars from it 199 00:19:17,000 --> 00:19:25,000 What, by Kingo? For a second, not gonna lie, I thought they had brought in the mini giant Gonzalez 200 00:19:25,000 --> 00:19:31,000 And he was in the background, it's the cloak that cloak throws me off 201 00:19:31,000 --> 00:19:44,000 But it's, you know, it's hit, I think a lot of people have undersold what AAA means to the history of Lujo Libre in Mexico 202 00:19:44,000 --> 00:19:51,000 What it means to the lineage of what WCW and now WWE have done with the Lujo or Divisions 203 00:19:51,000 --> 00:19:59,000 Like it's huge and I also thought it was very smart because, you know, you go back, I think it's two, three years ago 204 00:19:59,000 --> 00:20:07,000 They had talked, you know, once NXT UK was up and going, they were like, oh, we're gonna do it, NXT Japan and NXT, you know, Mexico 205 00:20:07,000 --> 00:20:15,000 Like this is a way of doing it without having to put in the infrastructure, like the infrastructure is already there 206 00:20:15,000 --> 00:20:22,000 Now if you just rebranded as NXT Triple A, like it's already there and you're just putting the WWE stamp on it 207 00:20:22,000 --> 00:20:28,000 It's kind of like taking what's right there, kind of fitting it into the WWE bubble and you're up and going 208 00:20:28,000 --> 00:20:34,000 And this is a way that, you know, for 25 years they've been trying to find the next ray of mysterious 209 00:20:34,000 --> 00:20:40,000 Now you have a manufacturing plant for your Ray Mysterios, how do you increase content? 210 00:20:40,000 --> 00:20:46,000 We need to expand the population base, now you can deep dive more into Hispanic culture and steroids 211 00:20:46,000 --> 00:20:49,000 Like it's a brilliant move for WWE in the long run 212 00:20:49,000 --> 00:20:52,000 Oh, I 100% agree, I think this is great 213 00:20:52,000 --> 00:21:02,000 It just continues the growth there, so the partnerships, acquisitions, everyone look at it, WWE TNA, WWE Pro Wrestling Noah 214 00:21:02,000 --> 00:21:07,000 And now having Triple A, Mexico under their umbrella is massive 215 00:21:07,000 --> 00:21:16,000 There's obviously some things that will be playing out here like how are they absorbing all the contracts because of the current A Triple A mega champion is Alberto Del Rio 216 00:21:16,000 --> 00:21:25,000 Alberto El Patrón, who is, I don't know if he is wanted by WWE 217 00:21:25,000 --> 00:21:37,000 He says that there is no animosity anymore and everything is great. Based on the stories about him, I'm not necessarily sure I would want to watch him on my television again. 218 00:21:37,000 --> 00:21:44,000 Based on the things that have been reported about him, actually just scratch that, no I don't want to see him on my television again. 219 00:21:44,000 --> 00:21:49,000 Based on who he is, so that will be interesting to see how this plays out 220 00:21:49,000 --> 00:21:56,000 But the only Triple A star that we saw so far is Vakingo, which makes sense because that guy is amazing 221 00:21:56,000 --> 00:22:01,000 And he had a presence during the next match here which is El Grande Americano defeating Ray Phoenix 222 00:22:01,000 --> 00:22:07,000 We did not predict this match on Friday SmackDown, Ray Mysterio got injured 223 00:22:07,000 --> 00:22:10,000 And I guess according to Meltzer, he tore his groin 224 00:22:10,000 --> 00:22:18,000 And I was watching the match live on SmackDown, I actually went back on the DVR to go back and like see where did this happen 225 00:22:18,000 --> 00:22:24,000 Because at some point you don't see him on the apron and I kind of lost track at that point because of the way the match was moving 226 00:22:24,000 --> 00:22:33,000 I was like, oh Ray's not in this match, the matter of fact a doctor is down in the ring outside looking at him 227 00:22:33,000 --> 00:22:41,000 And I go back and Julius Creed, I think there was like a pinotemp, Julius Creed grabs Ray Mysterio's leg and pulls him out to the ring 228 00:22:41,000 --> 00:22:45,000 Like you see with the refs all the time and he falls on the ground and that is the last time he moves in the match 229 00:22:45,000 --> 00:22:51,000 So I'm wondering if like Julius Creed like literally ripped his groin pulling him out of the ring 230 00:22:51,000 --> 00:22:57,000 If that's the case Julius, you're strong SOB but can't be doing that to the goat man, Ray Mysterio is amazing 231 00:22:57,000 --> 00:23:02,000 It was a shame that he was not there, they also announced on the pre show he was not medically cleared, Ray Phoenix is filling in 232 00:23:02,000 --> 00:23:10,000 And I was happy with that because it was an opportunity for Ray Phoenix to get his WrestleMania debut like two, three weeks after literally debut in a WWE 233 00:23:10,000 --> 00:23:19,000 So a Grande Americano gets the victory here, I was disappointed to see Ray Phoenix take his first singles loss in WWE this early into his run 234 00:23:19,000 --> 00:23:27,000 Especially at WrestleMania but it seems that there is a longer term playing without Grande Americano and the Lucius doors of WWE and now possibly AAA as well 235 00:23:27,000 --> 00:23:30,000 If that is the case then this result makes it ten cents 236 00:23:30,000 --> 00:23:42,000 But that match itself was impressive and it's amazing, the moves that Chad Gable has, the backwards 450, 560 on Ray Phoenix, the landing back first was impressive 237 00:23:42,000 --> 00:23:48,000 And the loaded match bit kind of grown on me, so we did get to see Vikingo take aim at a Grande Americano before the match 238 00:23:48,000 --> 00:23:53,000 And also tend to Ray Phoenix post match as well so there's obviously some big plans there for Vikingo 239 00:23:53,000 --> 00:23:57,000 Your thoughts on this one Dr. Trey as a Grande Americano gets the victory 240 00:23:57,000 --> 00:24:07,000 Yeah, early on my thoughts were Ray Phoenix is getting a little bigger, he just like the bodies, like the bodies of Elvab, okay 241 00:24:07,000 --> 00:24:13,000 Chad Gable versus Ray Phoenix, those bodies look like pro wrestler versus Indie guy 242 00:24:13,000 --> 00:24:18,000 So Ray's got to get a little bit better WWE look to him so to speak 243 00:24:18,000 --> 00:24:26,000 Move set wise, that match was fun, like that was crazy, really really entertaining 244 00:24:26,000 --> 00:24:34,000 I was going through going, why are you putting Ray Phoenix's spot? I don't want to see him lose his first match in WrestleMania but 245 00:24:34,000 --> 00:24:41,000 We've already seen Gable and Dragon League with the rest of the other, they had to throw somebody new in there so it made sense 246 00:24:41,000 --> 00:24:53,000 That 540 moves that was so crazy, I have been, and being done by Chad Gable, not being done by Brickishay, not being done by Osprey 247 00:24:53,000 --> 00:25:00,000 Chad Gable, seeing out the 540 like that, crazy, really fun match 248 00:25:00,000 --> 00:25:08,000 I'm curious now, this Gable winning and them going on with this Elvgrande Americano persona 249 00:25:08,000 --> 00:25:16,000 Makes me wonder how long the negotiations have been going on between WWE and Triple A 250 00:25:16,000 --> 00:25:29,000 Because now the look, the entrance, all of that makes sense if you're sending Gable as Elvgrande into Triple A to help those guys establish and get them over 251 00:25:29,000 --> 00:25:31,000 Like that makes a ton of sense 252 00:25:31,000 --> 00:25:40,000 And the loaded mask makes a ton of sense because I grew up on Ted D.B. O.C. Blackjack Mulligan with loaded gloves 253 00:25:40,000 --> 00:25:52,000 So seeing a loaded mask, and the fact that they sold it on that kick, that was brilliant, I hadn't seen that done before so I love how that was laid out 254 00:25:52,000 --> 00:25:59,000 There was a major announcement over the weekend that WWE is going to be airing the show on Netflix called 255 00:25:59,000 --> 00:26:07,000 Is it WWE unwritten or something like that? Did you see that at the show where they take you back into the writers room? Dr. Trey? 256 00:26:07,000 --> 00:26:10,000 Yeah, because I saw them showing the Blackboard 257 00:26:10,000 --> 00:26:15,000 Yeah, so you saw that graphic that everybody is noticing right now? 258 00:26:15,000 --> 00:26:16,000 Yep 259 00:26:16,000 --> 00:26:24,000 So the big thing there is we don't know when that screenshot was taken or when they were talking about it but it says Rainy Stereo versus Chad Gables, a rumored WrestleMania match 260 00:26:24,000 --> 00:26:31,000 So it's definitely unreal, not unwritten, that's a song by Natasha Beddonfield, that we all know and love 261 00:26:31,000 --> 00:26:40,000 Nonetheless, so that's been on the board for some time and they've been building this up for a couple of months so who knows how long the discussions were there? 262 00:26:40,000 --> 00:26:49,000 How Chad Gable is not an intercontinental champion or a United States champion or a former of those titles is insane to me in a travesty at this point 263 00:26:49,000 --> 00:26:55,000 The guy needs to be recognized as a champion and either one of those divisions soon because I'm a huge Chad Gable fan 264 00:26:55,000 --> 00:27:04,000 So a lot to go about here. Again, I'm not the biggest fan of the El Grande Americano gimmick but I will say it is starting to grow on me 265 00:27:04,000 --> 00:27:07,000 So El Grande Americano defeats Ray Phoenix at WrestleMania 41 266 00:27:07,000 --> 00:27:13,000 The next match here, Dr. Trey was Tiffany Stratton defeating Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women's Championship 267 00:27:13,000 --> 00:27:18,000 I at Tiffany U had Charlotte. This is a physical heart hitting matchable Tiffany and Charlotte 268 00:27:18,000 --> 00:27:28,000 I liked how the announcers played up that this match helped elevate Tiffany to the next level by showing her toughness against Charlotte. We not seen that side to Tiffany in her career so it was refreshing to see it in a fun match 269 00:27:28,000 --> 00:27:33,000 This is a fun one, Dr. Trey is Tiffany Stratton defeating Charlotte Flair 270 00:27:33,000 --> 00:27:43,000 This kind of falls in with the J. Cargill now. I had low expectations for this match and it exceeded it 271 00:27:43,000 --> 00:27:49,000 It was pretty good for what I was expecting so not hating on it 272 00:27:49,000 --> 00:27:58,000 These Charlotte on big stages and I think I talked about it last week or a week before that tends to feel like she bullies her opponents during the match 273 00:27:58,000 --> 00:28:03,000 As she tried it in this one, Tiffany held her own so I'll give her a ton of credits 274 00:28:03,000 --> 00:28:08,000 I am kind of curious to see what you do with Charlotte from here on out because now that Tiffany beat her 275 00:28:08,000 --> 00:28:17,000 Does she get a quick little rematch and get the belt or is Charlotte cool being the B+ character on a brand? 276 00:28:17,000 --> 00:28:24,000 It's going to be interesting to see what they do with Charlotte. This is the ascension of Tiffany. This is the start of a new era 277 00:28:24,000 --> 00:28:31,000 It is going to be Tiffy time for a while. They are putting all their eggs in her basket right now 278 00:28:31,000 --> 00:28:40,000 But yeah, a much better match than I expected and a good ozettivity for Charlotte to show some toughness and not getting pushed around by Charlotte in the match 279 00:28:40,000 --> 00:28:45,000 And then finally the main event here at the Saturday, WrestleMania Night 1, WrestleMania Saturday 280 00:28:45,000 --> 00:28:48,000 It was Seth Freakin' Rollins defeating Roman Reigns and CM Punk 281 00:28:48,000 --> 00:28:53,000 In the main event, I had Seth Freakin' Rollins, Dr. Trey and CM Punk, awesome main event match 282 00:28:53,000 --> 00:28:56,000 Really good in-ring stuff which is what you would expect from these three 283 00:28:56,000 --> 00:29:03,000 And the turn from Paul Heyman on both CM Punk and Roman Reigns to a line with Seth Rons was a perfect WrestleMania moment that fans will remember forever 284 00:29:03,000 --> 00:29:08,000 It was a great way to cap off WrestleMania Saturday, Dr. Trey 285 00:29:08,000 --> 00:29:12,000 Love this match, Seth Freakin' Rollins defeats Roman Reigns and CM Punk 286 00:29:12,000 --> 00:29:17,000 Yeah, there are a lot of different layers of this match that I love 287 00:29:17,000 --> 00:29:21,000 One of the things I picked Punk when we did the show 288 00:29:21,000 --> 00:29:29,000 And then heading in, I noticed something that every time they would mention the top stars in WWE this weekend 289 00:29:29,000 --> 00:29:32,000 They're like, "Oh, you got this guy, this guy." 290 00:29:32,000 --> 00:29:36,000 And it was always CM Punk and Roman Reigns and they never mentioned Seth Roll 291 00:29:36,000 --> 00:29:39,000 And I was like, "Damn it, Jeff's right sets winning this match." 292 00:29:39,000 --> 00:29:47,000 I kind of felt it just because of the slight and the disrespect that, you know, it's intentional 293 00:29:47,000 --> 00:29:53,000 But yeah, it's like, damn, but I'm also as a lifelong Paul Heyman fan 294 00:29:53,000 --> 00:30:00,000 I liked the Ysman character but I really like evil diabolical Paul Heyman way more 295 00:30:00,000 --> 00:30:04,000 This is like Paul Heyman dangerous alliance type stuff 296 00:30:04,000 --> 00:30:08,000 Like he's on the McAfee show and he was on another show 297 00:30:08,000 --> 00:30:11,000 Oh was he, certainly on the McAfee show? 298 00:30:11,000 --> 00:30:14,000 Yeah, he was roasting everybody 299 00:30:14,000 --> 00:30:20,000 This is the closest we've gotten to an ECW Paul Heyman and quite some time 300 00:30:20,000 --> 00:30:26,000 Like I love it, I am arguably the biggest Paul Heyman fan in the world 301 00:30:26,000 --> 00:30:30,000 Like I'm so excited to see where this goes, how it plays out 302 00:30:30,000 --> 00:30:36,000 It's weird because a guy like Seth doesn't need a mouthpiece 303 00:30:36,000 --> 00:30:43,000 But for some of the other guys, if this group that we saw a little bit of Monday grows 304 00:30:43,000 --> 00:30:47,000 Hey, what's a great guy to be the mouthpiece for everybody else 305 00:30:47,000 --> 00:30:50,000 So I'm really excited to see where this goes 306 00:30:50,000 --> 00:30:54,000 Plus I like heal Seth Rollins better than Babyface Seth Rollins 307 00:30:54,000 --> 00:30:57,000 Like this just played in the cards 308 00:30:57,000 --> 00:31:00,000 Plus, punk's baby stays babyface, Roman stays babyface 309 00:31:00,000 --> 00:31:03,000 So you kind of match some stuff up there pretty well 310 00:31:03,000 --> 00:31:06,000 So I'm excited to see what they do with this 311 00:31:06,000 --> 00:31:09,000 Well obviously get to the stuff about the Roth WrestleMania later on in the show here 312 00:31:09,000 --> 00:31:15,000 But the execution of the turn, Stock to Try, was it executed to perfection in your standpoint? 313 00:31:15,000 --> 00:31:19,000 Yeah, and it made sense and that's the thing 314 00:31:19,000 --> 00:31:24,000 And Heyman talked about it a little bit later on about punk being a bad friend 315 00:31:24,000 --> 00:31:28,000 By putting in, making him choose between him and Roman 316 00:31:28,000 --> 00:31:31,000 And then Roman just disrespecting him and everything else 317 00:31:31,000 --> 00:31:33,000 Like it made a ton of sense 318 00:31:33,000 --> 00:31:36,000 Heyman's first low blow felt a little rushed 319 00:31:36,000 --> 00:31:40,000 I don't know if he had, it was like a little bit that second one to Roman though 320 00:31:40,000 --> 00:31:43,000 And then with the twist in trying to pull the wrist out 321 00:31:43,000 --> 00:31:45,000 Like I love that 322 00:31:45,000 --> 00:31:49,000 That was such, like it's a little small stuff he does that makes it so good 323 00:31:49,000 --> 00:31:53,000 So yeah, like I thought it was really, really well done 324 00:31:53,000 --> 00:31:55,000 So there you go, Knight one in the books here 325 00:31:55,000 --> 00:31:58,000 Let's get to Knight two 326 00:31:58,000 --> 00:32:02,000 Eosky defeats Bianca Belair and re-writly to retain the women's world 327 00:32:02,000 --> 00:32:05,000 Championship both the Dr. Trey and I at Eoskyne this one 328 00:32:05,000 --> 00:32:07,000 This is an awesome opener to kick off Knight two of WrestleMania 329 00:32:07,000 --> 00:32:10,000 Really good in-ring work in storytelling from all three women 330 00:32:10,000 --> 00:32:14,000 The finish was really cool with the over the moonsaw on the roll-up pin attempt 331 00:32:14,000 --> 00:32:17,000 Part of me wondered if Eos was going to break up the pin 332 00:32:17,000 --> 00:32:19,000 But then when I saw Bianca roll up Rhea 333 00:32:19,000 --> 00:32:22,000 I was like, there is no way they're going to go for this 334 00:32:22,000 --> 00:32:26,000 Because I've never seen someone do a moonsaw while two people are in a small package 335 00:32:26,000 --> 00:32:27,000 And they went for it 336 00:32:27,000 --> 00:32:31,000 I could see Bianca getting involved in the car again on the only stuff 337 00:32:31,000 --> 00:32:36,000 That we saw teased on Smackdown moving forward while Eoskyne Rhea could be feuding for a bit as well 338 00:32:36,000 --> 00:32:40,000 So the women's division here all three of these women where they go from here is very intriguing 339 00:32:40,000 --> 00:32:43,000 Especially after what we saw Raw after WrestleMania 340 00:32:43,000 --> 00:32:47,000 This was a great match Dr. Trey, there are a lot of people that are giving this match its flowers 341 00:32:47,000 --> 00:32:49,000 Your thoughts on the triple threat 342 00:32:49,000 --> 00:32:54,000 Yeah, I don't know about you but like so I know we'll get into ratings and all that stuff here a little bit 343 00:32:54,000 --> 00:32:57,000 But like so Knight one I liked it 344 00:32:57,000 --> 00:33:00,000 But when this show kicked off Knight two and I saw this match 345 00:33:00,000 --> 00:33:03,000 I'm like, oh, it's going to be on par 346 00:33:03,000 --> 00:33:10,000 This was a great match especially in a triple threat setting which we all know could be funky and weird at times 347 00:33:10,000 --> 00:33:13,000 But it had everything you wanted 348 00:33:13,000 --> 00:33:19,000 It had the physicality, it had the story lines, had some great moves, told a good story 349 00:33:19,000 --> 00:33:24,000 And it got eo elevated into that Bianca Rhea category 350 00:33:24,000 --> 00:33:27,000 Which is where we've been trying to get her to for a while 351 00:33:27,000 --> 00:33:34,000 Like she's there now, like she's a main event or regardless of what show or brand she's on from here on out 352 00:33:34,000 --> 00:33:40,000 So just a fantastic way to kick off WrestleMania Knight two 353 00:33:40,000 --> 00:33:45,000 Yeah, I have actually a very funny way of looking at WrestleMania right now 354 00:33:45,000 --> 00:33:47,000 So we'll talk about that in a little bit 355 00:33:47,000 --> 00:33:50,000 And how I look at the entire both nights 356 00:33:50,000 --> 00:33:54,000 So next match here is Drew McAter, I had feeding Damian Prius in a Sinciti street fight 357 00:33:54,000 --> 00:33:59,000 I had Damian Prius, Dr. Trey and Drew McAter, this is a great physical match between McAter and Prius 358 00:33:59,000 --> 00:34:03,000 Not only spots for both guys to take in this one and Big Drew gets the victory 359 00:34:03,000 --> 00:34:07,000 I wonder if this is a stepping stone for McAter, to have a big 2025 360 00:34:07,000 --> 00:34:10,000 Because I feel like he is due to be a major focal player in WWE again 361 00:34:10,000 --> 00:34:14,000 Dr. Trey, your thoughts on the Sinciti street fight 362 00:34:14,000 --> 00:34:16,000 I love this match 363 00:34:16,000 --> 00:34:18,000 Like I was like, this is why I'm like, man, it's two or two 364 00:34:18,000 --> 00:34:21,000 And I was like, I don't know how they're going to have the triple threat match 365 00:34:21,000 --> 00:34:26,000 I was right there with it, like the physicality, the violence 366 00:34:26,000 --> 00:34:30,000 Never seen a claim or done like that with the chair in the corner 367 00:34:30,000 --> 00:34:34,000 Like all of that rolled into one, I was like, this is fantastic 368 00:34:34,000 --> 00:34:39,000 I am curious now as to where you, like you said, where you go both characters 369 00:34:39,000 --> 00:34:44,000 Because in theory, John Cena is a villain, he's on SmackDown 370 00:34:44,000 --> 00:34:46,000 What do you do with Drew? 371 00:34:46,000 --> 00:34:50,000 And if that's the case, like, and then where do you go Damian Prius from here? 372 00:34:50,000 --> 00:34:54,000 This is a guy who left a year ago left WrestleMania's World Champion 373 00:34:54,000 --> 00:34:57,000 The storyline of the Judgment Day, super great 374 00:34:57,000 --> 00:35:00,000 Since he came to SmackDown, the stuff that Drew's been good 375 00:35:00,000 --> 00:35:04,000 But he just hasn't felt like a main event player, so to speak 376 00:35:04,000 --> 00:35:08,000 So I'm so interested to see where they go with both these guys 377 00:35:08,000 --> 00:35:12,000 heading into the 2025 year of the WWE calendar 378 00:35:12,000 --> 00:35:15,000 I could not agree more, I can not wait to see where things go for these guys 379 00:35:15,000 --> 00:35:18,000 On Friday's SmackDown, should they both be a focal point 380 00:35:18,000 --> 00:35:22,000 Or at least, talked about or have a mention, vignette, whatever in this one 381 00:35:22,000 --> 00:35:28,000 Next match is Dominic Mysterio, defeating Braun Breaker, Finn Balor, and Penta to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship 382 00:35:28,000 --> 00:35:30,000 We both had dirty dom in this one 383 00:35:30,000 --> 00:35:35,000 This was an incredible fade of forward match that had a good flow with little to no downtime throughout 384 00:35:35,000 --> 00:35:39,000 The crowd was red hot in this one and their babyface support for Dominic Mysterio 385 00:35:39,000 --> 00:35:46,000 One of the most hated heels in recent WWE history was really surprising and made for a nice moment 386 00:35:46,000 --> 00:35:50,000 I think the feeling has been amongst the fans that it was Dom's time to take the next step forward 387 00:35:50,000 --> 00:35:53,000 And that's what they did by putting the IC title on him 388 00:35:53,000 --> 00:35:57,000 Really, really, really fun match, Dr. Trey 389 00:35:57,000 --> 00:35:59,000 Your thoughts on the fatal for-a-way 390 00:35:59,000 --> 00:36:03,000 Yeah, I thought this was a great way to get everybody to shine 391 00:36:03,000 --> 00:36:08,000 And I think Finn Balor has ascended into that Chris Jericho round 392 00:36:08,000 --> 00:36:11,000 That we used to talk about, like just being the ultimate soldier 393 00:36:11,000 --> 00:36:18,000 I mean, for a guy that was your first universal champion to now putting over Dom and WrestleMania 394 00:36:18,000 --> 00:36:25,000 He's put so many guys over WrestleMania the last five years, six years 395 00:36:25,000 --> 00:36:29,000 He's just that great soldier to have in your tool belt 396 00:36:29,000 --> 00:36:33,000 And then you know you can bring him up to main event level whenever you want to 397 00:36:33,000 --> 00:36:36,000 Braun look good, Penta look good 398 00:36:36,000 --> 00:36:43,000 And it was weird, like the reaction Dom got on one hand I thought was correct, I was like 399 00:36:43,000 --> 00:36:51,000 It's- I don't know if people are cheering because they actually like him or if there is that like you deserve a cheer 400 00:36:51,000 --> 00:36:53,000 Because, you know, like we talked about it with the Miz 401 00:36:53,000 --> 00:36:56,000 Like you're so good as a heel we like you now 402 00:36:56,000 --> 00:37:01,000 And I think that's where Dom is getting into where like we love to hate you 403 00:37:01,000 --> 00:37:05,000 So you winning, we're happy for that but we're gonna come back and treat you like crap 404 00:37:05,000 --> 00:37:09,000 You know coming out of it but like I'm just super happy 405 00:37:09,000 --> 00:37:13,000 I mean this like you said earlier like this is a guy five years ago you and I could stay in the C on TV 406 00:37:13,000 --> 00:37:18,000 And now he's one of the greatest things or now he's one of the best things to watch on TV every week so 407 00:37:18,000 --> 00:37:20,000 I'm really happy for the kid 408 00:37:20,000 --> 00:37:24,000 Now I've actually seen a couple of podcast interviews with him in the last week 409 00:37:24,000 --> 00:37:27,000 If anybody lists it, so we're all recap the rest of any recap stuff 410 00:37:27,000 --> 00:37:30,000 His stuff on both those pods were really good 411 00:37:30,000 --> 00:37:34,000 Seems like a very funny guy and likable nonetheless 412 00:37:34,000 --> 00:37:39,000 So I said just a couple minutes ago I was like I have a theory on WrestleMania 413 00:37:39,000 --> 00:37:43,000 And I was thinking this as I was watching the show 414 00:37:43,000 --> 00:37:48,000 So if you go back to night one I was not the biggest fan of J.U. So gone through because of the finish 415 00:37:48,000 --> 00:37:51,000 I was at the biggest fan of New Day and the war Raiders because of the finish 416 00:37:51,000 --> 00:37:56,000 But if you start with Jade Cargo Naomi then go to Jacoba 2 and LA night 417 00:37:56,000 --> 00:37:59,000 El Grande Americano and Ray Phoenix Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair 418 00:37:59,000 --> 00:38:06,000 Seth Frickin Rolens, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, then go into night two, EO Sky, Bianca, Rhea, Drew and Damien 419 00:38:06,000 --> 00:38:09,000 And then the fatal four of the way that we just discussed 420 00:38:09,000 --> 00:38:12,000 I was thinking to my head I'm like this is like a really good momentum swing right now 421 00:38:12,000 --> 00:38:17,000 There's not a lot of criticisms, very fun, solid, entertaining, WrestleMania 422 00:38:17,000 --> 00:38:22,000 We talked about in the last week's podcast we've talked about that there's been a trifecta of 38, 39, 40 423 00:38:22,000 --> 00:38:24,000 I'm like well maybe 41 can be joining it 424 00:38:24,000 --> 00:38:28,000 And then we kind of got to the second half of night two Dr. Try 425 00:38:28,000 --> 00:38:35,000 And I'm gonna be I'm gonna preface this by saying I did not dislike hate WrestleMania at all 426 00:38:35,000 --> 00:38:38,000 We'll go through the ratings review formally here in just a little bit 427 00:38:38,000 --> 00:38:47,000 But what I will say is these matches that are coming up did offer criticisms of WWE and the way that they did the booking 428 00:38:47,000 --> 00:38:53,000 I think ultimately here I defended and I am for what took place 429 00:38:53,000 --> 00:38:55,000 But I can understand the difference of opinion here 430 00:38:55,000 --> 00:38:59,000 So I think this is gonna be an interesting part of the podcast now for both of us 431 00:38:59,000 --> 00:39:04,000 Because we'll get to the next match here of Randy Orton feeding TNA World Champion Joe Hendry 432 00:39:04,000 --> 00:39:07,000 In his open challenge match we did not predict this match 433 00:39:07,000 --> 00:39:16,000 It was a really cool surprise to see TNA World Champion Joe Hendry show up to WrestleMania to take on Randy Orton's open challenge match 434 00:39:16,000 --> 00:39:23,000 It's wild to think we live in a day and age where the TNA World Champion had a match at WWE WrestleMania 435 00:39:23,000 --> 00:39:28,000 When we first started this podcast 15 years ago I would have never thought that day would ever happen 436 00:39:28,000 --> 00:39:35,000 When we first started this show like I just said it was like unthinkable and here we are and it's in front of my eyes on the television 437 00:39:35,000 --> 00:39:40,000 With that said this was a quick match that I would imagine people would say the TNA World Champion was buried 438 00:39:40,000 --> 00:39:42,000 Which I can understand that point 439 00:39:42,000 --> 00:39:44,000 But take this into account again 440 00:39:44,000 --> 00:39:50,000 The TNA World Champion was showcased at the biggest wrestling show of the year 441 00:39:50,000 --> 00:39:57,000 It was a free 10 minute infomercial putting eyes on the TNA product at the biggest stage of the mall 442 00:39:57,000 --> 00:40:03,000 I am fine with how it went down despite wanting to see the match go a little bit longer than what we got 443 00:40:03,000 --> 00:40:05,000 I think this was a success for Joe Hendry 444 00:40:05,000 --> 00:40:07,000 I think this was a success for TNA 445 00:40:07,000 --> 00:40:13,000 Randy Orton is a wrestling legend and he had a WrestleMania match against Randy Orton 446 00:40:13,000 --> 00:40:17,000 I can totally understand everybody like WWE just buried TNA 447 00:40:17,000 --> 00:40:21,000 I don't think Joe Hendry sees it that way because he did a lot of interviews where he was very excited 448 00:40:21,000 --> 00:40:25,000 He had a great follow up two nights later on NXT on the CW Network 449 00:40:25,000 --> 00:40:30,000 With Oba Family and Trick Williams on the ring and it looks like there's gonna be more of Joe Hendry on WWE Television 450 00:40:30,000 --> 00:40:33,000 I think WWE for season being a star 451 00:40:33,000 --> 00:40:40,000 And again TNA got like a free 10 minute infomercial on millions of homes on Peacock 452 00:40:40,000 --> 00:40:43,000 Across the globe internationally 453 00:40:43,000 --> 00:40:48,000 62,000 plus people lost their mind saying his song were very excited 454 00:40:48,000 --> 00:40:52,000 People who don't know anything about Joe Hendry or TNA are checking it out 455 00:40:52,000 --> 00:40:57,000 I thought this was a success WWE for WWE and TNA Dr. Trey 456 00:40:57,000 --> 00:41:01,000 You may think this is differently than me but I thought this was a positive all around 457 00:41:01,000 --> 00:41:04,000 Your thoughts on the Randy Orton Joe Hendry match? 458 00:41:04,000 --> 00:41:07,000 So this is what like you and I were talking about here 459 00:41:07,000 --> 00:41:10,000 This is one of the matches that Ashley got spoiled for me for a little bit 460 00:41:10,000 --> 00:41:15,000 Because I was like I heard that he showed a WrestleMania 461 00:41:15,000 --> 00:41:19,000 And then everything I'm reading is like and then he got squashed and buried 462 00:41:19,000 --> 00:41:22,000 Then I watched the actual match 463 00:41:22,000 --> 00:41:27,000 And I was like okay he had a really big entrance 464 00:41:27,000 --> 00:41:30,000 This wasn't like you know those commercial break entrances 465 00:41:30,000 --> 00:41:33,000 He got the full WrestleMania entrance 466 00:41:33,000 --> 00:41:37,000 He got to be in the ring with a 14 time world champion 467 00:41:37,000 --> 00:41:45,000 He got in offense and a lot of others they'll he hit all of his signature moves except for his finisher 468 00:41:45,000 --> 00:41:49,000 He got to do his pose 469 00:41:49,000 --> 00:41:53,000 He got to do what like you said he also came out with the TNA World Championship 470 00:41:53,000 --> 00:41:55,000 So TNA is getting recognized 471 00:41:55,000 --> 00:42:01,000 And then Randy caught him with an RKO while he was doing his pose in the showboding 472 00:42:01,000 --> 00:42:02,000 I loved it 473 00:42:02,000 --> 00:42:08,000 Like that's what in real life if you're making your WrestleMania debut 474 00:42:08,000 --> 00:42:11,000 And you're in front of the largest crowd 475 00:42:11,000 --> 00:42:19,000 And I'm saying six times the largest crowd you've probably ever been in front of 476 00:42:19,000 --> 00:42:20,000 Right? 477 00:42:20,000 --> 00:42:25,000 And you get caught up in the lights in the music in the arena 478 00:42:25,000 --> 00:42:30,000 Like you're not you're gonna get lost in the moment and a guy hits a it's his finishing move on you 479 00:42:30,000 --> 00:42:42,000 Like that's not a squash that's not a burial he got hit with the most popular finishing move in the history of pro wrestling at WrestleMania 480 00:42:42,000 --> 00:42:46,000 How'd that guy get buried like who else would you want in that spot? 481 00:42:46,000 --> 00:42:50,000 We're gonna like hey you're kind of compressed for time 482 00:42:50,000 --> 00:42:53,000 You know and then here's the thing I saw people going well he had them with two 483 00:42:53,000 --> 00:42:58,000 He also as he said there pat him on the chest hit him with the second RKO 484 00:42:58,000 --> 00:43:01,000 And then he did Joe Hendry's pose 485 00:43:01,000 --> 00:43:07,000 Like that's kind of their way of giving respect to that guy 486 00:43:07,000 --> 00:43:15,000 So anybody who says that Joe Hendry got buried or squashed a WrestleMania knows absolutely nothing about the wrestling business 487 00:43:15,000 --> 00:43:20,000 Not to mention I see Joe Hendry the every one and say he talked to Triple H and Triple H said 488 00:43:20,000 --> 00:43:24,000 Hey you did a great job take it in this is your first of many to come 489 00:43:24,000 --> 00:43:31,000 So that means WWE has high expectations from as well hey I we all love Joe Hendry we all love Randy Orton 490 00:43:31,000 --> 00:43:37,000 What the hell did we want in that situation you got two of your favorite guys in a WrestleMania match and we got an RKO 491 00:43:37,000 --> 00:43:46,000 Yeah, I was finally yeah I saw people burying it and I'm glad to see we're on the same page here because I was like I didn't see it that way 492 00:43:46,000 --> 00:43:58,000 Yeah, what I've liked it to gone a little longer absolutely but it took two two RKOs and Randy Orton was giving them love and it was just a really good moment 493 00:43:58,000 --> 00:44:02,000 I mean they said that was one of their top choices it was the top choice that two they reached out to 494 00:44:02,000 --> 00:44:07,000 They didn't reach out to anyone else on the roster they reached out to freaking Joe Hendry because it was going to be a great moment 495 00:44:07,000 --> 00:44:15,000 And it elevated him and elevated TNA in my opinion so I'm fine with it I mean TNA was a focal point on WrestleMania 496 00:44:15,000 --> 00:44:20,000 You may never see this again folks it's insane 497 00:44:20,000 --> 00:44:25,000 Next match here is Logan Paul defeating AJ Styles I had AJ Styles to trade Logan Paul 498 00:44:25,000 --> 00:44:31,000 The match was fine Logan showed he could hang with AJ Styles the wrestling fan in me is disappointed seeing an outsider 499 00:44:31,000 --> 00:44:38,000 Even one who is respected and puts his all into the craft like Logan Paul defeating one of the generations best in AJ Styles at WrestleMania 500 00:44:38,000 --> 00:44:48,000 The story here is in what is what's most important as AJ Styles and Karing Cross will continue on post WrestleMania which has me excited for both guys while Logan's path isn't all that clear right now 501 00:44:48,000 --> 00:44:52,000 Maybe a feud with World of War Champion Jey Uso is on the horizon 502 00:44:52,000 --> 00:44:59,000 Again the rest of the fandom in me is not really thrilled with the result but I understand it Dr. Trey 503 00:44:59,000 --> 00:45:11,000 Yeah the wrestling fan I think my expectations this is kind of counter to what we talk about with Charlotte and Jade 504 00:45:11,000 --> 00:45:19,000 My expectations were actually kind of high for this match because the athleticism both guys not saying it was a bad match 505 00:45:19,000 --> 00:45:25,000 I actually didn't even hate to finish storyline wise it made sense it is just one of the things that kind of sticks in you where you're like 506 00:45:25,000 --> 00:45:30,000 Logan Paul is 3 and 0 at WrestleMania 3 and 0 or 4 and 0 4 and 0 507 00:45:30,000 --> 00:45:33,000 No he lost a staff 508 00:45:33,000 --> 00:45:39,000 Oh that's right I forgot what the set match was got three wins in four years at WrestleMania 509 00:45:39,000 --> 00:45:45,000 I can't I part of me wants to hate on that because he is the quote unquote outsider 510 00:45:45,000 --> 00:45:49,000 But look I'll take Logan Paul over my TV 511 00:45:49,000 --> 00:45:54,000 Six set like seven days a week twice on Sundays more than the guy we saw in the main event 512 00:45:54,000 --> 00:46:00,000 I knew you were going there I knew you were going there I can't blame you I knew you I knew you were going there 513 00:46:00,000 --> 00:46:06,000 Yeah but now the match was fun by the way did you see the the the carrying cross interview 514 00:46:06,000 --> 00:46:10,000 Oh yeah I got my viral I heard it I saw it and I heard it 515 00:46:10,000 --> 00:46:17,000 It was awesome that's that's yeah that's the carrying cross that we all love and want to see our TVs even more 516 00:46:17,000 --> 00:46:24,000 He seems like a genuinely good dude by the way I guess he's put out some stuff out on social media that he's working on documentary 517 00:46:24,000 --> 00:46:30,000 And he was just like walk around the Vegas strip because he's from the area and people are coming up to him and being like 518 00:46:30,000 --> 00:46:34,000 I really love your character lately and he had just some really authentic and genuine comments about that 519 00:46:34,000 --> 00:46:42,000 How his character was kind of floundering and he was most known for his NXT stuff and it seems like people are really enjoying this like devil's advocate 520 00:46:42,000 --> 00:46:49,000 Puppeteer that he's been playing as a lady which I cannot disagree with I think I think carrying crosses a guy that's going to have a big 2025 521 00:46:49,000 --> 00:46:58,000 And I really hope he does because he's been phenomenal so he got to love there and I want to buy his book 522 00:46:58,000 --> 00:47:05,000 He just put a book out I didn't want to buy the book yeah he seems like a really genuinely nice not guy so props him 523 00:47:05,000 --> 00:47:12,000 Next match here is Libervaak Karrion Becky Lynch defeating Liv Morgan or Al-Qaul Rodriguez to win the WWE Women's Tag Team 524 00:47:12,000 --> 00:47:15,000 Chipy Chipy did not predict this match because we thought Bailey was going to be in it 525 00:47:15,000 --> 00:47:21,000 It was a solid tag team match very happy to see Becky Lynch back in the square circle I just wish it didn't come at the expense of Bailey 526 00:47:21,000 --> 00:47:28,000 As I was invested in interesting stuff that she and Lyra were doing as of late it will be interesting to see how that plays out over time 527 00:47:28,000 --> 00:47:36,000 As we just had a mystery attack on a tag team partner with Jayden Bianca back in November nonetheless we did get to see Becky get a revenge on Liv 528 00:47:36,000 --> 00:47:43,000 Would have liked to see some some Easter eggs of the last of the months were live really wrote it home that she retired Becky Lynch 529 00:47:43,000 --> 00:47:48,000 You know mentioned it in promo stuff like that and so that the return was was a big deal 530 00:47:48,000 --> 00:47:56,000 So people would think that Becky was showing up at the raw debut on Netflix, Rollerumble, Limitation Chamber, etc. to really build up the expense 531 00:47:56,000 --> 00:48:04,000 Suspensive Becky's return to WWE so I would like to see these Easter eggs where people thought that she was coming back to all the big events only for her to return to WrestleMania 532 00:48:04,000 --> 00:48:11,000 Sidebar to this Dr. Trey I saw Chris Van Vellette clip from an interview we had with Bailey that's out right now 533 00:48:11,000 --> 00:48:17,000 And Bailey makes mention of the disappointment of her being off the WrestleMania card talking about her creative 534 00:48:17,000 --> 00:48:24,000 And she dives in a little bit she's like well by the time this comes out people are going to be and she like stops herself and Chris Van Vellette like presses 535 00:48:24,000 --> 00:48:32,000 Like what is this about she's she kind of moves on so we know what obviously she was talking about there were people reportedly backstage there were upset about this 536 00:48:32,000 --> 00:48:41,000 There were stuff on Twitter calling Becky Lynch Becky Hogan from WrestleMania 9 when the Hulkster took the championship from not only Brett and Yokozuna 537 00:48:41,000 --> 00:48:44,000 But walked away at WrestleMania 9 with the title 538 00:48:44,000 --> 00:48:52,000 Yeah, there's some stuff to this and we'll cover from raw after WrestleMania but Lyra Vellkarian Becky Lynch for now are your WWE women's side team champions 539 00:48:52,000 --> 00:48:54,000 Your thoughts? 540 00:48:54,000 --> 00:49:01,000 Yeah, I was actually I was hoping that Lyra got so good and then if Bailey had brought Becky in his attack partner 541 00:49:01,000 --> 00:49:05,000 I think that would have popped the crowd even bigger but I 542 00:49:05,000 --> 00:49:06,000 I 543 00:49:06,000 --> 00:49:09,000 Like honestly I 544 00:49:09,000 --> 00:49:13,000 Could not I was happy to see Becky I love Becky Lynch. I don't want anything 545 00:49:13,000 --> 00:49:21,000 I could not take this match seriously because of Lyra Vellkary because the feathers kept flying off her head 546 00:49:21,000 --> 00:49:31,000 During the entire match and all I could picture was every time she was in the ring with Rukhel Rodriguez was Peter Griffin fighting the giant chicken from family guy 547 00:49:31,000 --> 00:49:37,000 I just kept seeing feathers everywhere they kept throwing me off and I kept laughing the entire time 548 00:49:37,000 --> 00:49:42,000 I'm like why don't people think about this when they come up with their ring gear like these feathers are gonna be everywhere 549 00:49:42,000 --> 00:49:49,000 But yeah, I didn't really care for the match all that much I was happy to see Becky 550 00:49:49,000 --> 00:49:59,000 But yeah, to me it just was like why are you taking Bailey off the show like why are you taking your hall of fame level women's talent off the show 551 00:49:59,000 --> 00:50:09,000 I get wanting to showcase your younger talent but you have look between Lyra Vellkary and Chelsea Green I'd rather see Chelsea Green between Lyra Vellkary and Bailey 552 00:50:09,000 --> 00:50:14,000 I'd rather see Bailey like there is no depth to the Lyra character 553 00:50:14,000 --> 00:50:20,000 There is she's a good in-ring worker but I don't know enough about her to be invested 554 00:50:20,000 --> 00:50:26,000 Meanwhile if you had done the attack on her now I'm invested into who beat up Lyra 555 00:50:26,000 --> 00:50:33,000 Bailey comes out and then Becky comes out you get Becky and Bailey as a tag team against live in Rukhel 556 00:50:33,000 --> 00:50:35,000 That screams wrestle mania to me 557 00:50:35,000 --> 00:50:40,000 So I just don't like the decision making the process because it just didn't make a lot of sense 558 00:50:40,000 --> 00:50:48,000 And then you can always come back to who took out Lyra instead of who took out Bailey and then now you get a different version of Lyra 559 00:50:48,000 --> 00:50:50,000 And you get more depth to that character 560 00:50:50,000 --> 00:50:57,000 More on this match and everything that took place here momentarily as we will recap raw after wrestle mania 561 00:50:57,000 --> 00:51:03,000 Let's get to the main event of night 2 dr. Tray the main event of wrestle mania that closes out the show 562 00:51:03,000 --> 00:51:10,000 John Cena defeats Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship we both had John Cena in this one 563 00:51:10,000 --> 00:51:14,000 John Cena is now the record holder as a 17 time world champion 564 00:51:14,000 --> 00:51:19,000 John Cena is the Undisputed WWE Champion in 2025 which is wild to say 565 00:51:19,000 --> 00:51:27,000 This is where things are going to get interesting for this discussion because I know this is a very sensitive subject in months wrestling fans 566 00:51:27,000 --> 00:51:35,000 I found it to be great storytelling and this one is the finish where Cody refused to hit Cena with the title and embraced the dark side only for Cena to kick him below the belt 567 00:51:35,000 --> 00:51:42,000 And use the title was a really nice foreshadowing finish as I think we will see this play out again in late 2025 568 00:51:42,000 --> 00:51:49,000 I am really digging this version of John Cena on the way he's carrying himself and the black background that reads John Cena and White font for his entrance 569 00:51:49,000 --> 00:51:53,000 It is a really cool way for him to go out his professional wrestling career 570 00:51:53,000 --> 00:52:01,000 Additionally or lastly I was shocked the rock did not make any appearance during this match or at all during wrestle mania 41 571 00:52:01,000 --> 00:52:10,000 That was a pretty massive miss the Travis Scott interference I thought was a massive miss I think that was just your entertainment tonight moment for people to see 572 00:52:10,000 --> 00:52:16,000 But the match itself and the way that it played out I enjoyed 573 00:52:16,000 --> 00:52:25,000 I know that there are a lot of people out there that did not like this match the people are saying that Cody came back carried the company for two years to go out like that 574 00:52:25,000 --> 00:52:31,000 I could not disagree more doctor I think this is as I put last week I felt like this WrestleMania was a table setter 575 00:52:31,000 --> 00:52:37,000 I feel like this matches a table setter for something big that will take place later this year and wants it fully plays out 576 00:52:37,000 --> 00:52:44,000 I'm going to be very interested in a trick to hear your thoughts on this one as John Cena is a 17 time world champion 577 00:52:44,000 --> 00:53:00,000 So entrance wise the scene entrance is fantastic and I love it because this whole run up doing the old school doing the regular scene of background the colors the also loyalty respect 578 00:53:00,000 --> 00:53:08,000 I thought didn't fit this fits just John Cena came out said he was going to ruin pro wrestling for fans 579 00:53:08,000 --> 00:53:22,000 Honestly I was upset Monday night when he got fireworks I want him basically almost like that Dolph Ziggler character we saw about eight years ago where there was like no theme music just nothing like minimalist John Cena 580 00:53:22,000 --> 00:53:28,000 You know but I love it Cody's mass dude it did the Iron Man thing 581 00:53:28,000 --> 00:53:37,000 Yeah, that was cool that was cool that was kind of cool I was like man this is Tony Stark man this is pretty cool so the match itself 582 00:53:37,000 --> 00:53:50,000 It was I'm watching it with my wife. I'm like this is late 80s early 90s kind of throwback wrestling like headlocks, scissor locks, punches, kicks, very old school wrestling match that told the story 583 00:53:50,000 --> 00:53:59,000 Like Cena stayed on top of them the entire time like that's kind of what you want your heel that you're strong heel to do and let your baby face make the comeback 584 00:53:59,000 --> 00:54:12,000 Yeah, I only knock on this match. I'm sorry my only knock on this match is Travis Scott like how is 135 pound man going to cost like it just it did I 585 00:54:12,000 --> 00:54:20,000 But I guess may is I don't really know Travis Scott is I heard his theme song all weekend long but I don't know who this guy is 586 00:54:20,000 --> 00:54:41,000 He does not look like a physical threat. He's not in bad buddies Lee has in-ring performing we've already seen he can't throw a punch he's got like I mean I just I don't get it but you know it for an extraction is fine that and if I'm not mistaken if you want to go into deep storytelling 587 00:54:41,000 --> 00:54:54,000 Wasn't it Cody Rose telling Kevin Owens he messed up at in Paris because he didn't have the killer instinct to go for the kill shot and now Cody couldn't go for the kill shot against Cena 588 00:54:54,000 --> 00:55:05,000 Ironic good long term storytelling that in that moment Cody couldn't pull the trigger just like KO couldn't do wish cause KO to go crazy and turn heel so 589 00:55:05,000 --> 00:55:25,000 Some star wars shit right I mean that's what I'm this is to me I think that whole moment dr. Trey of the you know hit me with the title and he doesn't do it throws it down below the belt kick and see it takes advantage one two three I think ultimately they place itself out where Cody does in fact do that embraces the dark side now what 590 00:55:25,000 --> 00:55:34,000 That means if he turns heel at that point I don't know maybe it's just him getting even and people cheer and seen his honest way but I don't understand why people are 591 00:55:34,000 --> 00:55:46,000 Like losing their minds over this match unall honesty yeah my like is it my only issue the matches Travis Scott which is on that like yeah I would give it like I would give that 592 00:55:46,000 --> 00:55:56,000 That's like a 4.5 star because I love that match Travis Scott made it like four to quarter stars so yeah it brought it because I'm like and then the fact that like you're 593 00:55:56,000 --> 00:56:08,000 Just like son turned down to his and Johnson is just standing there like yeah hey that's Travis Scott I know him yeah and like Cody's in the background like selling and I'm like 594 00:56:08,000 --> 00:56:16,000 Dude can you pick up the pace a little bit because you're making Cody sell look like not believable like he shouldn't down this long for 595 00:56:16,000 --> 00:56:24,000 Fair and then the rock stuff I mean the rock stuff I mean you were big on that this entire time like what was the point of this rock was on Maca 596 00:56:24,000 --> 00:56:32,000 Feet show on was it today was it Wednesday as we record this Wednesday night for the Thursday download I think it was on it today Wednesday 597 00:56:32,000 --> 00:56:40,000 And he said that the whole point of this was Tuesday the soul selling the soul angle at elimination chamber was because ticket sales 598 00:56:40,000 --> 00:56:46,000 Or slow they asked him to do it so they did it he wanted Cody to turn heel and 599 00:56:46,000 --> 00:56:56,000 Basically it wasn't supposed to lead to anywhere to be knew he's gonna be filling Moana film film me Moana or the final stuff of Moana the live action stuff and want to be available 600 00:56:56,000 --> 00:57:06,000 Which the rocks create I mean literally I love the rock all like he is amazing all time or Mount Rushmore for me all nine yards 601 00:57:06,000 --> 00:57:14,000 His involvement in creative and getting the water's money is a pain in the ass and this may be another instance of that doctor try 602 00:57:14,000 --> 00:57:24,000 I love the rock I don't like Dwayne Johnson is that make sense like I love I love the rock on screen I love the rock character I love the final boss 603 00:57:24,000 --> 00:57:31,000 I don't like when he goes on these shows and starts giving and I know we're gonna get into that with that WDB on real show kind of giving away some secrets but I'm like 604 00:57:31,000 --> 00:57:39,000 Dude don't go out on a show that you know wrestling die hard wrestling friends are gonna watch you say yeah that whole cell your soul shit was bullshit basically and just designed to get people interested 605 00:57:39,000 --> 00:57:49,000 Like like that we had no plan that just that irritates me yeah that irritates me it's like well great because now yeah because now me and Jeff just spend 606 00:57:49,000 --> 00:57:57,000 Three hours of our lives over the course of the last three months deep diving into what all that meant and it really just meant nothing for now 607 00:57:57,000 --> 00:58:07,000 Now he also did say they could always circle back to this at some point but just like the night after WrestleMania last year 608 00:58:07,000 --> 00:58:15,000 Yeah it's like just you know like just or the net the Netflix debut when they were when he was drinking with Cody and said I'm wish you love Cody 609 00:58:15,000 --> 00:58:24,000 You know like just then for a full week's later he hates them and yeah you know and then tell your mom I said hi 610 00:58:24,000 --> 00:58:40,000 Yeah sometimes like this is why so in a lot of ways Jeff if you remember when AEW launch and I know people are gonna hate me for this and this you and I was in there and go we really don't like when wrestlers are running the storylines 611 00:58:40,000 --> 00:58:50,000 Because it gets a lot of whack this is the wrestler running the storyline so I have to criticize Dwayne Johnson for the same thing I used to criticize Kenny Omega in the young months more 612 00:58:50,000 --> 00:59:00,000 Yeah which is rightfully so which is absolutely rightfully so the only time we've seen a wrestler and recent memory book really good creative has been triple age Paul LeVack 613 00:59:00,000 --> 00:59:06,000 Alright let's give ratings and match of the night here for night one and I too I'll start with Saturday Dr. Tray my event rating 614 00:59:06,000 --> 00:59:14,000 I gave it a 4.4 out of 5 I really enjoy the show my match the night Rollins Reigns punk what's a you 615 00:59:14,000 --> 00:59:30,000 I gave it a 4.2 and Rollins Reigns and punk was my match the night and then the next night here WrestleMania Sunday I gave it a 4.5 out of 5 I thought night 2 overall was better than night one 616 00:59:30,000 --> 00:59:38,000 And then my match the night was my match the night was sorry about that my match the night was Mysterio breaker Penta and Baller 617 00:59:38,000 --> 00:59:44,000 I gave it a 4.4 my match the night was the women's triple threat match 618 00:59:44,000 --> 00:59:54,000 Alright very nice EO Reep Yonka yeah that was that was an amazing match I I felt like those matches I felt like the fatal four way 619 00:59:54,000 --> 01:00:07,000 If I'm ranking my favorite matches from Mania Weekend I would go one the fatal four way of the inner continental title two the women's triple threat and then three Rollins Reigns punk 620 01:00:07,000 --> 01:00:21,000 So mine so I am probably biased because Paul Heyman Mark I went Rollins Reigns punk women's triple threat match then the fatal four way and that drew Damien matches really fun 621 01:00:21,000 --> 01:00:32,000 Yeah, what's a good one yeah absolutely so there you go recap a review of WrestleMania 41 feel free to chime in at SRT podcast or on Facebook Facebook dot com slash the real touch show 622 01:00:32,000 --> 01:00:48,000 Let's get to a quick raw after WrestleMania recap and a quick annexi stand deliver recap interview as well so some points here from raw after WrestleMania and Dr. Shreya my apologies so just for full disclosure here Dr. Trace Celeste finished this episode 623 01:00:48,000 --> 01:00:55,000 I self-definished the WWE Hall of Fame because we're both married men with children and it is very hard to get caught up on all this content 624 01:00:55,000 --> 01:01:10,000 So we're off to WrestleMania recap, Randewort lays out WWE Champion John Cena in the year 2025 and now I would expect this to be our backlash main event in St. Louis Becky Lynch attacks Lyra Valkyrie after dropping the tag team titles less than 24 hours after they won them 625 01:01:10,000 --> 01:01:13,000 Rusev returns to WWE and destroys the alpha academy 626 01:01:13,000 --> 01:01:19,000 St. Louis Valkyrie challenges EO Skyne as a great match until Roxanne present Julia in a fear and really ripply makes the save 627 01:01:19,000 --> 01:01:27,000 Sam is in returns to celebrate with Jay Uso people thought he was gonna be back seven J and that one Jimmy Uso also comes down JD McDownd and returns to help Dominic but she 628 01:01:27,000 --> 01:01:48,000 had a good show defeat Penta Gunther attacks Pat McAfee and Michael Cole and then Braun Breaker aligns with Seth Rollins and Paul Haiman layout CM Punk and Roman Reigns to close out the show I thought this was the best episode of Monday Night Raw this year Dr. Trace slightly better than the raw on Netflix debut your thoughts on the Raw after WrestleMania recap 629 01:01:48,000 --> 01:02:06,000 So I obviously haven't washed everything yet but was was well aware of everything that happened no just from everything I've seen everything I've read fantastic show start to finish other than do I really want to see Gunther and Pat McAfee fight I don't know about that one yet 630 01:02:06,000 --> 01:02:24,000 We do guys eat somebody step up to be the next challenger for Jay Uso and then I was a little bum that Rusev came back as a heal I kind of wanted to see him join the alpha academy and kind of give them a little bit of teach and let them teach him better English or whatever like it just play that stuff 631 01:02:24,000 --> 01:02:46,000 I just don't know if I want Rusev as a heal because when he left Rusev Day was still super over so we could have brought him back as a baby face because we have a lot of guy equal to an heal lately we need a baby face maybe they're just going hey we got Penta we got some other folks are coming in their baby faces we don't need him as a baby face but I just like Rusev when he's happy 632 01:02:46,000 --> 01:03:14,000 this was the mirror version of Rusev by the way because we did not get a Rusev match got to start off his theme song as well so happy all around that that was is it your so I know you haven't seen the whole entire episode yet but you're fully aware from what you've seen so far I would love to hear your thoughts eventually here if it was better than the raw Netflix debut because I thought it was one of the best episodes of raw I've seen in a while I think for share amount of content yes 633 01:03:14,000 --> 01:03:40,000 the raw after Netflix was kind of like an extravaganza type thing where there wasn't a whole lot of content on that show like we had the rocks you know weird promo we had all the crazy cool camera angles all the glitz and glamour where this felt more like a traditional raw after wrestle and one of the better ones we've had in the last couple years because it was the last year and you're before was got off 634 01:03:40,000 --> 01:04:08,000 yeah the problem was yeah so this one was much better than someone who had the last couple of years so yeah like to me this is the best Ross is a game of the Netflix and then let's run through nc stand deliver recap review of this past that are from the team all more rain and loss Vegas i'm just going to go through all the results of the doctor trail would sit out to you will give out event ratings match the night so tain impact the gg dull and defeat met a four fatal influence on rock sand press court jade and a fatal four way tight team elimination match becoming a more contentors for the day 635 01:04:08,000 --> 01:04:17,000 when elimination match becoming a more contentors for the w one side team championship then it was into live in rock rocks rakell on Tuesday's edition my next day 636 01:04:17,000 --> 01:04:28,280 ricky saints defeats Ethan page retain the nxd North American championship Hank Walker and take ledger defeat Nathan Frazier and axiom to win the nxd tag team championship so ruka defeat Zarya clonid Jordan is he 637 01:04:28,280 --> 01:04:42,280 Dame low levi s and the hailing a ladder match to win the vacant nxd women's North American championship dark state defeats the d'Angelo family that was a fun one and a really like with the d'Angelo family stuff is going especially on Tuesday's edition of nxt 70 638 01:04:42,280 --> 01:04:54,280 rock court defeats Julia Jordan Grayson jada parker and a fatal four way match to retain the nxd women's championship and then oba family defeats trick Williams and javion Evans and a triple threat match to retain the nxd championship 639 01:04:54,280 --> 01:05:01,280 dr. tre before we give a rent ratings here match the night any thoughts on nxd stand deliver 640 01:05:01,280 --> 01:05:11,280 uh... hankin tanker fund a watch i like those guys and you're right like you and i talk a little bit about the whole public enemy versus heavy machine they're kind of a blend of those two 641 01:05:11,280 --> 01:05:22,280 they're really fun to watch and looking for seeing what they do with fraxiom are they going moving them up we've already seen Nathan Frazier on smack down recently are they getting the call up to 642 01:05:22,280 --> 01:05:27,280 street profits tag titles or moving the raw and challenge the new day at some point 643 01:05:27,280 --> 01:05:28,280 uh... 644 01:05:28,280 --> 01:05:34,280 i wonder at times if solruka is the next version of 645 01:05:34,280 --> 01:05:43,280 a thing i wouldn't she had her run in w_w_ like is she over because her finishers so cool or she actually over 646 01:05:43,280 --> 01:05:46,280 like the santa chevron's fantastic 647 01:05:46,280 --> 01:05:50,280 and what was the thing is name in w_w_ i remember 648 01:05:50,280 --> 01:06:01,280 and bermoo was kind of that same both great finisher was it the finisher got her over the kind of feel like i love solruka i think she's gonna be a big star 649 01:06:01,280 --> 01:06:07,280 but i i wonder if the move is getting ahead of the character so to speak 650 01:06:07,280 --> 01:06:18,280 the women's for a match i thought it was good i still feel like i know you're high on jada i still feel like she's just a notch below the other three 651 01:06:18,280 --> 01:06:25,280 but i'm not quite there yet and i think that match to me kind of showed it a little bit but still really good match 652 01:06:25,280 --> 01:06:34,280 and tear got can i just watch over femmy throw wessley and jayby on ebbens i just want to i want to i want to like a five-minute clip of him just tossing those guys 653 01:06:34,280 --> 01:06:43,280 because that size differential and how those guys bump is crazy on that stuff but fun triple threat match to close out the show as well 654 01:06:43,280 --> 01:06:49,280 uh... sainz in page yeah like we got the tony thumbled chan in there i thought that was a really good match as well 655 01:06:49,280 --> 01:06:55,280 uh... event rating match the night i gave stand delivery three point nine out of five my match the night was hankin tank versus fraxiom 656 01:06:55,280 --> 01:07:02,280 and dare i say from all restaurant in weakened out of trade i think this is a top five match in the rest of the week and overall 657 01:07:02,280 --> 01:07:08,280 yeah i i gave it a four point oh it was a lot of that was on the strength of fraxiom versus hankin tank 658 01:07:08,280 --> 01:07:12,280 like that match was really fun and i would probably put it 659 01:07:12,280 --> 01:07:15,280 one two i mean that's i picked four earlier 660 01:07:15,280 --> 01:07:21,280 cina rose i would probably put it five or six on my rest of any weekend 661 01:07:21,280 --> 01:07:25,280 so that was your match the night right then you're gonna be like no that's not all that's held 662 01:07:25,280 --> 01:07:32,280 okay fair enough yeah so that was the right one match the night and then the pay-per-view prediction records from the weekend 663 01:07:32,280 --> 01:07:35,280 uh... stand deliver i we both went five in two 664 01:07:35,280 --> 01:07:39,280 uh... russomania saturday i went five and one doctor trade one three and three 665 01:07:39,280 --> 01:07:46,280 russomania sunday i went three and two doctor trade one five and oh so i'm sitting at 24 and eight doctor trades at 23 and nine 666 01:07:46,280 --> 01:07:55,280 coming out of russomania weekend and then lastly doctor trade let's take a look at some of the Monday morning headlines following russomania 41 that we predicted on last week show 667 01:07:55,280 --> 01:08:01,280 i had yeet of mania joins yesel mania and kofi mania massive ups that have gone through to win the world of a championship 668 01:08:01,280 --> 01:08:05,280 that took place logon paul proves he can hang with a j styles i would say that took place 669 01:08:05,280 --> 01:08:12,280 tiffie time de thrones the queen that took place um... john cnc captures number seventeen things to help from the rock 670 01:08:12,280 --> 01:08:16,280 that did not take place and then one that i am proud of 671 01:08:16,280 --> 01:08:21,280 ham and turns on punk and rains joins forces of ralens that that did take place 672 01:08:21,280 --> 01:08:27,280 um... any of your money morning headlines that uh... you were happy that came to fruition my friend 673 01:08:27,280 --> 01:08:32,280 no i i i i'm just happy that my headline was doctor trade with five and oh on night two 674 01:08:32,280 --> 01:08:37,280 like i'm like i'm super proud that i went under did you say five and oh yes yes 675 01:08:37,280 --> 01:08:45,280 yeah so i'm proud of five and oh that's the first time i've gone like undefeated on a show in like two years 676 01:08:45,280 --> 01:08:50,280 so i had one good night of predictions that's my big headline 677 01:08:50,280 --> 01:08:57,280 but yet the ham in turn and then the subsequent formation of ralens and breaker monday night do i am so excited 678 01:08:57,280 --> 01:09:00,480 to see where this goes because this could be 679 01:09:00,480 --> 01:09:07,480 how you get brown breaker into the main event is the one breaker or ralens turns on each other at some point and ham and goes with breaker 680 01:09:07,480 --> 01:09:14,480 can i can i just point out funny moment here just based on your common of saying this is the first time that you've gone undefeated in a couple years 681 01:09:14,480 --> 01:09:20,480 this is gonna tell you the minute you become married and then when you have a kid your brain becomes fried 682 01:09:20,480 --> 01:09:24,480 because doctor trade you in for no elimination chamber 683 01:09:24,480 --> 01:09:34,480 well shit yeah i don't remember anything about that show other than the ending of the show i did it for the rock 684 01:09:34,480 --> 01:09:42,480 yeah i literally forgot everything else about it and you know i still cannot get the image of paul ham and with his fist 685 01:09:42,480 --> 01:09:50,480 between romans and roomin rangers legs and him twisting back and forth trying to pull that's been in my head for like two days now 686 01:09:50,480 --> 01:09:57,480 so i don't know what that means i don't know what that means either so i'm a little bit close up shop on this week's edition of srt 687 01:09:57,480 --> 01:10:03,480 you get a couple plugs and sponsor the way you can download the show every Thursday
