- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories.
- 0:13Speaker 1: And tonight, we're headed back into the Dragon Knight series. Now,
- 0:18Speaker 1: if you've never listened to the Dragon Knight series before,
- 0:22Speaker 1: you can honestly probably start right here, because this is
- 0:25Speaker 1: kind of a story that's related to what I've done
- 0:28Speaker 1: so far. But it's the entire backstory for a character,
- 0:32Speaker 1: so it's totally cool to start here and If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: like it, you could go find all of the others.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I think there's like 22 or 23 more of them
- 0:42Speaker 1: at this point. Now, I got a lot of suggestions
- 0:46Speaker 1: for the wind or air dragon general, which made it really,
- 0:51Speaker 1: really hard to choose. But at the end of the day,
- 0:54Speaker 1: I chose this one.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Hi, I'm Beckett from New York, and I have a
- 1:01Speaker 2: story idea for the Dragon Knights universe. I have an
- 1:06Speaker 2: idea for the Wind Dragon General. You can choose the
- 1:13Speaker 2: name because I have no idea what to do. So
- 1:15Speaker 2: the Wind Dragon General is a cunning young man who
- 1:21Speaker 2: is not very great at fighting, but he uses manipulation
- 1:32Speaker 2: and encasing the other elements in air and pushing them
- 1:39Speaker 2: back at their opponents and making it so their opponents
- 1:44Speaker 2: can't fly around to win a fight. Thank you. I
- 1:49Speaker 2: love your podcast. I rate it 10 out of 10 stars.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Bye. Thank you, Beckett from New York. I think that's
- 2:00Speaker 1: an excellent idea. But because you didn't come up with
- 2:02Speaker 1: names for the dragon or the dragon general, I went
- 2:08Speaker 1: to one of my other suggestions from Alex. So thank you, Alex,
- 2:14Speaker 1: who wrote in about three weeks ago and suggested that
- 2:17Speaker 1: the wind dragon general was named Breeze and had a
- 2:22Speaker 1: dragon named Levitate. Alex wasn't the only one to write in. Honestly,
- 2:28Speaker 1: there were a lot of really great ideas. It was
- 2:30Speaker 1: super hard to choose. But thank you to everyone, because
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's the story we're going to make today. If you
- 2:37Speaker 1: like the podcast, don't forget to rate it and review
- 2:41Speaker 1: it wherever it is you are listening, if you haven't
- 2:43Speaker 1: already done that already. And thank you to those of
- 2:45Speaker 1: you who have. You know, share it with a friend.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And if you prefer ad-free episodes or just want to
- 2:54Speaker 1: support the podcast a little bit extra, you can join
- 2:57Speaker 1: us on Patreon. Which, honestly, is the lifeblood of the podcast.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Probably the only reason it still exists. So thank you,
- 3:06Speaker 1: Patreon people. But now, we'll get on with the actual episode.
- 3:12Speaker 1: After a possible word from a possible sponsor. Time to
- 3:17Speaker 1: close your eyes, get as comfy as you can in
- 3:20Speaker 1: that bed, and imagine yourself doing what the kid in
- 3:25Speaker 1: the story does. Chapter 24. The Air Dragon General. Before
- 3:34Speaker 1: Breeze was the Air Dragon General, before dragons of every
- 3:39Speaker 1: element whispered about the strange and, well, frankly frightening things
- 3:44Speaker 1: he could do, And before he commanded the highest mountain
- 3:49Speaker 1: stronghold in the Dragon King's empire, he was simply a
- 3:54Speaker 1: boy who wanted more than anything to become a Dragon Knight.
- 4:01Speaker 1: He wasn't big, he wasn't strong, and he wasn't very
- 4:07Speaker 1: good at fighting, but Breeze always wanted to become a
- 4:11Speaker 1: Dragon Knight. He grew up in the mountains of the
- 4:16Speaker 1: Air Dragon Nation. And when I say mountains, I don't
- 4:20Speaker 1: mean the sort of mountains you, you know, like walk
- 4:24Speaker 1: up a trail for a few hours and eventually, you know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: reach the top of. These mountains were enormous. Some disappeared
- 4:34Speaker 1: into the clouds. Others rose above them. The air dragon
- 4:41Speaker 1: stronghold had been constructed across dozens of peaks, with towers
- 4:46Speaker 1: carved directly into cliffs, and gigantic bridges stretching across gaps
- 4:52Speaker 1: so deep that you couldn't even see the bottom. Of course,
- 4:58Speaker 1: air dragon knights didn't really need bridges, because they could fly,
- 5:03Speaker 1: but Breeze couldn't, nor could many of the other people there.
- 5:09Speaker 1: and that bothered him more than almost anything. As a child,
- 5:15Speaker 1: Breeze watched dragon knights leap from balconies thousands of feet
- 5:19Speaker 1: above the ground and simply float away. He watched wind
- 5:25Speaker 1: dragons streak between the peaks, creating sonic booms as they
- 5:30Speaker 1: accelerated through the sky. More than anything, he wanted to
- 5:35Speaker 1: be one of them. But no dragon ever chose him.
- 5:41Speaker 1: No egg called to him. No mysterious pull ever led
- 5:46Speaker 1: him to some hidden chamber. No dragon looked at him
- 5:50Speaker 1: and said, You are my knight. Eventually, Breeze became old
- 5:57Speaker 1: enough that people stopped telling him he might still become
- 6:00Speaker 1: a knight. Instead, they put him to work. He carried food.
- 6:07Speaker 1: He cleaned training platforms. He brought equipment to Dragon Knights.
- 6:13Speaker 1: He repaired harnesses and, well, Breeze hated it. Not enough
- 6:19Speaker 1: to refuse doing it, of course. He was too smart
- 6:23Speaker 1: for that. Instead, he watched. Every time he delivered something
- 6:30Speaker 1: to a training ground, he stayed just a little longer
- 6:35Speaker 1: than necessary. Every time two dragon knights discussed a technique,
- 6:42Speaker 1: Breeze listened. Every time a dragon demonstrated something unusual, Breeze
- 6:50Speaker 1: remembered it. And eventually, one of his jobs brought him
- 6:56Speaker 1: to Current. Current was an elderly wind dragon knight who
- 7:02Speaker 1: had spent most of his life studying the element of air.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Most people thought Current was, well, a little nutty and
- 7:12Speaker 1: wildly boring. If someone asked him about the weather, Current
- 7:17Speaker 1: might explain air pressure for an hour or two. If
- 7:22Speaker 1: someone mentioned breathing, Current might begin explaining that air wasn't
- 7:27Speaker 1: actually one thing. It's mostly nitrogen, Current told Breeze during
- 7:33Speaker 1: one of their first conversations. A little oxygen, carbon dioxide,
- 7:40Speaker 1: water vapor, and tiny amounts of other things. Breeze actually
- 7:47Speaker 1: looked interested, which was unusual. Current's eyes lit up. You understand?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Not really, Breeze admitted, but I want to. That was
- 8:04Speaker 1: all it took. Current started talking, and Breeze started listening.
- 8:11Speaker 1: At first, Breeze had simply discovered a good way to
- 8:15Speaker 1: avoid work. If Current wanted him around, no one questioned
- 8:20Speaker 1: why the boy carrying supplies had disappeared for several hours.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But the more Current talked, the more interested Breeze became.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Current explained weather systems, pressure differences, warm air, cold air, storms,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and currents. Then he began explaining things that even most
- 8:43Speaker 1: wind dragon knights didn't really understand. Most riders think our
- 8:49Speaker 1: power is wind, Current said one afternoon. It isn't? Current
- 8:57Speaker 1: shook his head. Wind is simply moving air. We can
- 9:04Speaker 1: command the air itself. He lifted one hand. The air
- 9:10Speaker 1: around his fingers shimmered. Moving it is merely the easiest
- 9:17Speaker 1: thing to do. And, well, the only thing most of
- 9:23Speaker 1: these dum-dums ever learn to do. Breeze leaned closer. What
- 9:30Speaker 1: else can you do? Current smiled. That is a question
- 9:36Speaker 1: I've been spending most of my life trying to answer.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Current explained that a wind dragon might, theoretically, manipulate the
- 9:49Speaker 1: different parts of air. Oxygen, for example. Humans and dragons
- 9:56Speaker 1: needed it to breathe. Fire needed it too. Without oxygen,
- 10:02Speaker 1: flames couldn't continue burning. Plants were different. They absorbed carbon
- 10:08Speaker 1: dioxide and used it to grow. Breeze listened to every word. So,
- 10:17Speaker 1: if you could control the oxygen specifically. Well, then you
- 10:24Speaker 1: could theoretically increase it, Current said, or decrease it. Could
- 10:32Speaker 1: you remove it? Current hesitated. Theoretically, but I don't believe
- 10:41Speaker 1: anyone's ever done that. Breeze smiled, and Current continued. And
- 10:49Speaker 1: then there's the matter of a vacuum. A what? Nothing,
- 10:57Speaker 1: Curran said. Breeze frowned. Nothing? Well, an area containing virtually
- 11:06Speaker 1: no matter at all. No air, no oxygen, no nitrogen. Nothing. Nothing.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Breeze looked out through the enormous open windows toward the
- 11:21Speaker 1: dragons gliding between the mountains. What happens to a dragon's
- 11:27Speaker 1: wings if there's no air? Current smiled. Now you're asking
- 11:35Speaker 1: interesting questions. For years, Breeze listened. Unfortunately, he never gained
- 11:44Speaker 1: any power with which to actually use what he'd learned. Until,
- 11:49Speaker 1: of course, the Dragon King came. Or, Dragon Thief, as
- 11:56Speaker 1: many people called him. By the time the king reached
- 12:01Speaker 1: the Air Dragon nation, his army was overwhelming. He'd already
- 12:08Speaker 1: taken dragons from every one of the other nations and
- 12:13Speaker 1: turned them against their own people. Earth dragons attacked from below.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Fire dragons filled the air with flame. Water dragons froze
- 12:25Speaker 1: defensive positions. Elemental dragons, well, combined everything together. And Violet,
- 12:33Speaker 1: who would eventually become the nature dragon general... helped force
- 12:38Speaker 1: the air dragons into predictable pathways using gigantic vines growing
- 12:45Speaker 1: impossibly high between the mountains. The true air dragon knights
- 12:52Speaker 1: fought brilliantly, but they lost. Breeze knew they would, so, well,
- 13:00Speaker 1: he hid. He crawled into an old maintenance passage behind
- 13:05Speaker 1: one of the storage chambers and waited while the battle
- 13:09Speaker 1: raged outside. He heard explosions, dragons roaring, and eventually everything
- 13:18Speaker 1: became quiet. When Breeze finally came out, the Air Dragon
- 13:25Speaker 1: Nation belonged to the Dragon King, or Dragon Thief as
- 13:30Speaker 1: many still called him. Most of the true Dragon Knights
- 13:35Speaker 1: had been taken away, The remaining dragons stared blankly with
- 13:40Speaker 1: glowing eyes. And Breeze did what he'd always done. He
- 13:46Speaker 1: made himself useful. He made himself liked. When soldiers needed food,
- 13:56Speaker 1: Breeze brought it. When equipment needed moving, Breeze moved it.
- 14:03Speaker 1: When officers wanted someone who knew the stronghold... Breeze showed
- 14:07Speaker 1: them around. He didn't resist. He didn't complain. And eventually,
- 14:14Speaker 1: his loyalty was noticed. In just the way that Breeze
- 14:21Speaker 1: hoped it would be. The Dragon King had a simple
- 14:25Speaker 1: way of rewarding loyal soldiers, and Breeze knew it. Dragons.
- 14:33Speaker 1: One day, All of his hard work came to fruition,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and Breeze was led to a huge platform where several
- 14:42Speaker 1: controlled wind dragons waited. For the first time in his life,
- 14:49Speaker 1: he was allowed to choose. He walked among them slowly
- 14:54Speaker 1: until he stopped beside a long, pale gray dragon whose
- 15:00Speaker 1: body seemed almost impossibly light. simply floating above the ground
- 15:07Speaker 1: in the air. This one, Breeze said. The dragon lifted
- 15:14Speaker 1: its head. Its glowing eyes stared forward without any emotion
- 15:20Speaker 1: at all. His name's Levitate, according to these papers, an
- 15:26Speaker 1: officer said. Then Levitate it is. The Dragon King's magic
- 15:34Speaker 1: created the false connection. Breeze felt commands become possible in
- 15:40Speaker 1: his mind. Not a true bond. Not shared feelings or
- 15:48Speaker 1: elemental power, but levitate would obey. And for Breeze, that
- 15:56Speaker 1: was enough. Because finally... He had access to everything current
- 16:03Speaker 1: had taught him. At first, Breeze trained normally. Gusts of wind, tornadoes,
- 16:12Speaker 1: flying around, zipping through the air, fighting. He was never
- 16:18Speaker 1: much of a fighter. But at night, when no one
- 16:22Speaker 1: was watching, Breeze experimented in secret. Levitate, Breeze said one evening,
- 16:32Speaker 1: placing a candle on a stone table. Remove the oxygen
- 16:38Speaker 1: around that flame. Nothing happened. Breeze concentrated on exactly what
- 16:46Speaker 1: Current had explained. He tried to pass the understanding through
- 16:52Speaker 1: the mental connection and into the dragon. Imagining... mentally the
- 16:59Speaker 1: air separating into different parts, imagining himself finding the oxygen
- 17:07Speaker 1: and moving only that. Levitate stared at the candle. The
- 17:15Speaker 1: air shimmered slightly and the flame went out. Breeze smiled
- 17:23Speaker 1: and practiced. The following month, the Dragon King's officers held
- 17:31Speaker 1: a tournament. The winner would become one of the new
- 17:35Speaker 1: commanders of the Air Dragon Army. Or, at least that's
- 17:40Speaker 1: how they got everyone to participate. Breeze decided to enter. Again,
- 17:47Speaker 1: he wasn't much of a fighter. In fact, his first
- 17:51Speaker 1: opponent just laughed when he saw him. Eww. The Servant Boy.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Breeze simply climbed onto Levitate, the signal sounded, the opponent's
- 18:04Speaker 1: wind dragon shot forward, and Levitate moved out of the way.
- 18:10Speaker 1: All the while, Breeze gave him a quiet command, a
- 18:16Speaker 1: mental command to remove the oxygen around the dragon and
- 18:23Speaker 1: the rider. Nothing visible happened. There was no tornado, no wind,
- 18:30Speaker 1: no attack that anyone could really see. The other rider
- 18:35Speaker 1: continued to charge. Breeze continued to dodge. And slowly, the
- 18:43Speaker 1: other rider, well, slowed down. He blinked several times. His
- 18:50Speaker 1: movements became sloppy. His speech became somewhat scrambled, and he
- 18:59Speaker 1: started to shake his head, trying to keep himself awake.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Breeze watched calmly. The man tried to command another attack,
- 19:11Speaker 1: but the words came out confused. Then his body slumped forward,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and he fell unconscious against his dragon. The crowd stared
- 19:26Speaker 1: in complete confusion. No one knew exactly how he won,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and some certainly thought it was probably just a technicality,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but Breeze was declared the winner. His next opponent lasted
- 19:43Speaker 1: even less time, and his victory started to look less
- 19:49Speaker 1: like a flashback. The third rider knew something strange was
- 19:54Speaker 1: happening and immediately attacked. Breeze simply had Levitate shoot straight upward.
- 20:02Speaker 1: His opponent followed while Levitate created a bubble around him.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Not a bubble anyone could see. A bubble without any oxygen.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Seconds later, the rider became dizzy, then confused, then unconscious. Levitate,
- 20:26Speaker 1: nicely enough, swooped underneath and caught him before he hit
- 20:30Speaker 1: the ground. After all, they were all on the same side.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Breeze won the tournament without throwing a single punch. The
- 20:41Speaker 1: crowd wasn't exactly excited about it, since they didn't really
- 20:46Speaker 1: know how he did it, but the Dragon King was
- 20:50Speaker 1: certainly fascinated. He understood enough about the elements to have
- 20:57Speaker 1: a pretty strong theory on what was going on, even
- 21:01Speaker 1: if he didn't know how to recreate it. He made
- 21:06Speaker 1: Breeze a commander. The greater rank... gave Breeze more time
- 21:13Speaker 1: and more privacy to experiment. He began working on Current's
- 21:19Speaker 1: other theories. The vacuum creating nothing. It took months for
- 21:28Speaker 1: Levitate to successfully create a vacuum, but eventually Breeze learned
- 21:35Speaker 1: how to command him to do so. How to push
- 21:39Speaker 1: out every bit of air from a specific area and
- 21:44Speaker 1: prevent it from rushing back in. The first time he succeeded,
- 21:50Speaker 1: Breeze dropped a feather into it. The feather fell strangely.
- 21:56Speaker 1: No floating or drifting like you'd expect from a feather.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It just fell straight down. And Breeze smiled sadly. He
- 22:07Speaker 1: continued to force Levitate to practice the technique until he
- 22:12Speaker 1: could do it faster and command a larger and larger area. Soon,
- 22:20Speaker 1: Breeze and Levitate got a chance to test out the technique.
- 22:26Speaker 1: A handful of true air dragon knights had survived the
- 22:30Speaker 1: conquest and formed a rebellion in the northern mountains. The
- 22:36Speaker 1: dragon king sent Breeze after them. The rebels saw him
- 22:41Speaker 1: coming and laughed. Five free wind dragons against one controlled dragon?
- 22:49Speaker 1: They'd beat those odds many times before. They attacked together.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Breeze waited until they were almost on top of him.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Then he gave the command. and the air disappeared. All
- 23:08Speaker 1: five dragons dropped suddenly, not knowing what had happened to them.
- 23:15Speaker 1: They continued to try beating their wings, but there was
- 23:19Speaker 1: nothing to push against. They fell from the sky and
- 23:24Speaker 1: crashed into the ground. Breeze kept the vacuum in place
- 23:30Speaker 1: and continued to watch as All five of the dragon
- 23:35Speaker 1: riders fell unconscious from lack of oxygen. With no air
- 23:42Speaker 1: inside the vacuum, there was obviously no oxygen either. They
- 23:49Speaker 1: were pretty easy to catch after that. Breeze was celebrated
- 23:55Speaker 1: and promoted again. Eventually, there was no rank left above
- 24:01Speaker 1: him except the dragon king himself. He became the Air
- 24:08Speaker 1: Dragon General, and stories about him started to spread. Soldiers
- 24:15Speaker 1: saw Breeze face a fire dragon once. The dragon opened
- 24:21Speaker 1: its mouth and unleashed a gigantic wall of flame. Breeze
- 24:26Speaker 1: simply lifted one hand, and the fire disappeared. The soldiers
- 24:34Speaker 1: thought he had somehow stolen it. That somehow, in addition
- 24:39Speaker 1: to his wildly unexplainable air powers, he also had power
- 24:45Speaker 1: over fire. Breeze never explained that he'd simply removed the
- 24:50Speaker 1: oxygen feeding the flame. Another time, a nature dragon covered
- 24:56Speaker 1: an entire battlefield in vines. Breeze and levitate floated overhead,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and slowly the plants began to droop. Leaves curled, vines weakened,
- 25:12Speaker 1: flowers collapsed. It seemed as though Breeze had power over
- 25:19Speaker 1: nature as well. Breeze had simply removed most of the
- 25:25Speaker 1: carbon dioxide from the air around them until... There was
- 25:29Speaker 1: nothing left for the plants to breathe, but again, he
- 25:33Speaker 1: wasn't about to explain that to anyone else. He was
- 25:37Speaker 1: too smart for that. Too cunning. He liked people believing
- 25:43Speaker 1: he could simply command other elements to stop working. But
- 25:48Speaker 1: the ability everyone feared most was the simplest. Breathing. Whole
- 25:55Speaker 1: groups of enemies had fallen unconscious without Breeze ever appearing
- 26:00Speaker 1: to attack them. Dragons had fallen from the sky because
- 26:05Speaker 1: their wings suddenly stopped working. Even the elemental dragon riders
- 26:11Speaker 1: became nervous around him. After all, what good was controlling
- 26:16Speaker 1: five elements if you couldn't breathe long enough to use them?
- 26:21Speaker 1: And that was why, years later.
- 26:25Speaker 1: As Breeze stood atop the highest tower of the air
- 26:29Speaker 1: dragon's stronghold, he wasn't particularly afraid when the dragon king
- 26:36Speaker 1: came to visit. The king, on the other hand, was afraid.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Not that he'd admit it. Fire has fallen, the king said.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Breeze nodded. Water, too. I know. Breeze said. Nature's gone.
- 26:59Speaker 1: The earth dragon stronghold's been defeated. They're freeing more dragons
- 27:08Speaker 1: every day, the dragon king continued. And worst of all,
- 27:15Speaker 1: my daughter is among them. Breeze had heard that too. Autumn,
- 27:22Speaker 1: the dragon princess. a true elemental rider now fighting against
- 27:28Speaker 1: her own father. They cannot be allowed to take the
- 27:34Speaker 1: last stronghold, the dragon king said. If the air dragons fall,
- 27:41Speaker 1: they'll have an army capable of moving faster than anything
- 27:46Speaker 1: I possess. Breeze looked across the enormous mountain kingdom. Wind
- 27:53Speaker 1: dragons floated between the peaks. Soldiers moved along bridges and platforms.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Levitate stood silently behind him. They won't take it, he said.
- 28:07Speaker 1: The dragon king narrowed his eyes. You sound very confident.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I've been preparing for them. Breeze walked toward the edge
- 28:20Speaker 1: of the tower. Their greatest advantage is that their riders
- 28:25Speaker 1: can fight separately from their dragons. They fly. They move
- 28:31Speaker 1: through the sky without needing wings. Yes, the Dragon King said.
- 28:38Speaker 1: That has caused problems. Breeze smiled. Only because no one
- 28:46Speaker 1: has taken away the sky. When they arrive... I'll allow
- 28:54Speaker 1: them to come straight toward the stronghold. In fact, we'll
- 29:01Speaker 1: make it hard to resist doing that all at the
- 29:04Speaker 1: same time. I'll let their entire army take to the air,
- 29:11Speaker 1: and then I'll remove the air. The dragon king slowly smiled.
- 29:21Speaker 1: The dragons won't be able to fly. The riders won't
- 29:27Speaker 1: be able to breathe. They'll fall, and then they'll pass out.
- 29:35Speaker 1: No air, no oxygen, no comfort. problem. The dragon king laughed. Well,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I believe I can help with that. A large group
- 29:51Speaker 1: of my elementes will be waiting behind, along with, well,
- 29:58Speaker 1: several groups of soldiers. When the rebels fall, they will
- 30:05Speaker 1: appear from camouflage around the edges of your stronghold and
- 30:11Speaker 1: ensure that the rebels don't get back up. The rebels
- 30:17Speaker 1: would never suspect a thing. The battle would be over
- 30:23Speaker 1: before they even knew what was happening. It was a
- 30:27Speaker 1: good plan. Perhaps the best one the dragon king had
- 30:32Speaker 1: come up with yet. Or, well, had his soldiers come
- 30:38Speaker 1: up with anyways. The king walked back toward his dragon.
- 30:45Speaker 1: You understand what happens if they defeat you, right? Breeze
- 30:51Speaker 1: looked toward Levitate. then toward the endless sky surrounding his stronghold.
- 31:00Speaker 1: They won't. The Dragon King climbed onto his elemental dragon.
- 31:07Speaker 1: With a burst of wind, the dragon lifted into the air.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Breeze watched him disappear into the clouds. Then, he looked
- 31:18Speaker 1: down across his kingdom. For his entire childhood... Breeze had
- 31:24Speaker 1: watched dragon knights fly through these mountains. He'd watched them
- 31:29Speaker 1: command an element he could only study. They had been chosen.
- 31:37Speaker 1: He had not. But Breeze had learned something none of
- 31:42Speaker 1: them had bothered to learn. Wind wasn't just wind. Air
- 31:49Speaker 1: wasn't just something that moved dragons through the sky. It
- 31:53Speaker 1: was the thing that kept nearly everything alive. People could
- 31:59Speaker 1: survive weeks without food, sometimes days without water. But they
