- 0:33Speaker 3: a guest on this show many many, many, many many
- 0:35Speaker 3: many years ago, ran for president a couple of times.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Let's go to Danny and Yonkers. Danny, how you doing?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Oh h what was that all about?
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's another one. Now what they do is they
- 0:52Speaker 3: get together, two or three of them, and they all
- 0:54Speaker 3: call a radio station and they try to sound like
- 0:57Speaker 3: they're a caller. Oh they got you know, and then
- 1:00Speaker 3: they go into the Goby Canon. Gov Cannon, you guys
- 1:04Speaker 3: got to update your act. Come up with a newer name. Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 3: come up with some name from this century, not the
- 1:12Speaker 3: last century. Let's go to Oh, I know this guy.
- 1:14Speaker 3: This is Gideon from Greenwich, Connecticut. It's actually Gideon Fountain.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Is this Gideon?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, I think you're absolutely right to highlight these
- 1:23Speaker 1: this Moundania attack on Ken Griffin, But I wonder it
- 1:27Speaker 1: kind of reminds me, you say that they're still building
- 1:29Speaker 1: lots of buildings in New York, and they've got the
- 1:31Speaker 1: builders of a vision for its future. But it reminds
- 1:33Speaker 1: me sort of that maybe we're or I think makes
- 1:35Speaker 1: me think of we're in an Ugo Chavez moment, like
- 1:38Speaker 1: in Venezuela. You know, I think they were probably building
- 1:40Speaker 1: skyscrapers in downtown Venezuela, in what's capital of Venezuela, and
- 1:46Speaker 1: uh way back when uh and then up to the
- 1:49Speaker 1: minute that guy took over. I mean, I could we
- 1:51Speaker 1: could we be slipping into that kind of at least
- 1:54Speaker 1: for guy.
- 1:55Speaker 3: You're talking about the smartest real estate companies. You're talking
- 1:58Speaker 3: about the rudent stuff Fishers, they uh the uh well
- 2:03Speaker 3: left racks, the the sl green These guys know what
- 2:06Speaker 3: they're doing. They wouldn't invest here if they weren't sure.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Steve Roth, Steve Ross, all these guys they know what
- 2:12Speaker 3: they're doing. Yeah, yeah, all right, thanks for calling. Let's
- 2:15Speaker 3: go to uh Jay in New Jersey. Jay, how you doing?
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah? Heymrk uh yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Now about this, I went to listen to me carefully.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I used to be a great prank caller when I
- 2:28Speaker 3: was a kid. You gotta do better. You gotta go
- 2:31Speaker 3: up to another level. You can't just call him go right.
- 2:34Speaker 3: You gotta come up with something.
- 2:35Speaker 4: No, I'm no prank caller. I'm just I'm just I
- 2:38Speaker 4: just found that. I just found that humorous before. But
- 2:41Speaker 4: about yeah, the Secret Service, I think that this guy,
- 2:44Speaker 4: this Secret Service director Sean Kurrn, he something's wrong with
- 2:47Speaker 4: this guy. You know, they messed up with Butler, the
- 2:49Speaker 4: perimeter there, then there's the golf course. Then the guy
- 2:51Speaker 4: broken Tomorrow Lago. Now there's this So why is this
- 2:54Speaker 4: guy still Why does he still have his job?
- 2:56Speaker 3: Mark? Well, that's a good question.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:00Speaker 3: You got to realize every time we've had this happen,
- 3:06Speaker 3: after it was over, you look back and say, what
- 3:08Speaker 3: the hell, Why were you so wax? Why were you
- 3:11Speaker 3: so crazy? You know, the Kennedy assassination really was the
- 3:14Speaker 3: first time where after it was over you said, why
- 3:17Speaker 3: would you have the president riding in an open car
- 3:21Speaker 3: like that you're just asking for trumpel It's so he's
- 3:24Speaker 3: so vulnerable riding around that open car. I know they
- 3:28Speaker 3: had that bubbletop they could put on, but you know
- 3:30Speaker 3: the bubbletop wasn't bulletproof. That bubbletop was really for the rain,
- 3:35Speaker 3: not anything else. But after that was over, you realized
- 3:38Speaker 3: riding around in an open car, this was insane. So
- 3:41Speaker 3: when they built the new presidential limousines, there was no
- 3:44Speaker 3: way to open the top and they were bulletproof, bomb proof.
- 3:50Speaker 3: And then the next assassination was the gerald Ford two
- 3:53Speaker 3: assassination attempts on gerald Ford. And you look back at
- 3:57Speaker 3: the Reagan assassination attempt you think that was crazy. Why
- 4:02Speaker 3: would you walk President Reagan out into the driveway where
- 4:05Speaker 3: there's a million people standing around him and walk them
- 4:09Speaker 3: past that crowd like that? Why don't you know you
- 4:11Speaker 3: look nowadays they take him through a tent you can't
- 4:14Speaker 3: see him, or they pull the car like inside the
- 4:16Speaker 3: garage and he gets in in there and this White
- 4:19Speaker 3: House Correspondents dinner, this has been going on for years, decades,
- 4:23Speaker 3: decades in that ballroom. And now you look back and
- 4:27Speaker 3: you say, well, this was crazy. You haven't it in
- 4:29Speaker 3: a hotel that's open with a thousand people staying upstairs
- 4:33Speaker 3: that haven't been screened. It's crazy. But nobody ever thinks
- 4:38Speaker 3: of all this stuff ahead of time. But it's just
- 4:42Speaker 3: you know, now when the president, you ever see this
- 4:45Speaker 3: presidential limousine, this videos online, it'll show you in detail
- 4:49Speaker 3: what's in there. It's bomb proof, it's bulletproof. It can
- 4:53Speaker 3: launch missiles. It can literally launch missiles. It can withstand
- 4:57Speaker 3: a poison gas attack. You know, when you're in that beast,
- 5:01Speaker 3: you can't open the door. In fact, the other day
- 5:05Speaker 3: President Trump and Missus Trump went to the car and
- 5:08Speaker 3: he got in and she got in. On the other send,
- 5:10Speaker 3: people were saying, well, why didn't he open the door
- 5:12Speaker 3: for you can't open the door. In fact, the door
- 5:16Speaker 3: it's so thick and so bombproofed. The door weighs almost
- 5:19Speaker 3: three hundred pounds. So when you're riding in the Beast,
- 5:23Speaker 3: the Secret Service will say to you, don't try to
- 5:25Speaker 3: open the door yourself. We'll open it for you. And
- 5:27Speaker 3: it's like two burly Secret Service guys have to open it.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Let's go to Dennis in Boundbrook. Dennis, how you doing.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah, good morning, Mark, Yeah, Mark. My question is this
- 5:37Speaker 2: with regards to the shooting in Washington. This guy had
- 5:40Speaker 2: a room with the hotel. Supposedly, let's say his room
- 5:43Speaker 2: was facing the street. Couldn't he just go to his
- 5:46Speaker 2: window since there's no security, he's got guns and start
- 5:49Speaker 2: shooting people like fish in a barrel, And yeah, wouldn't
- 5:52Speaker 2: have been stopped right.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Very good point. You know, there was a white House
- 5:55Speaker 3: Coursepondent a few years ago where they were Palestinian supporters
- 6:00Speaker 3: and as the press approached the hotel hanging out of
- 6:04Speaker 3: the windows, these protesters rented like ten rooms in a
- 6:07Speaker 3: row on one floor, and they were able to unfurl
- 6:11Speaker 3: an enormous Palestinian flag in front of the hotel for
- 6:16Speaker 3: everybody to see as they walked in. I mean, it's
- 6:20Speaker 3: a lot of people. About two thousand people come to
- 6:22Speaker 3: this dinner. That's why it's in the Washington Hilton, because
- 6:26Speaker 3: it's the only ballroom big enough in DC to get
- 6:29Speaker 3: two thousand people in there. Now people say, well, want
- 6:31Speaker 3: they cut it down to like six hundred or so.
- 6:34Speaker 3: The real purpose of the dinner. All the big news
- 6:38Speaker 3: organizations take a table. Washington Post takes three tables, Fox
- 6:42Speaker 3: News takes three tables, four tables. The NBC takes four
- 6:45Speaker 3: or five to the real reason they take these tables
- 6:48Speaker 3: is to invite their advertisers. It's a big perk for
- 6:52Speaker 3: the advertisers you bring them to the dinner. So that's
- 6:54Speaker 3: why they can't cut it down. That's why it's two
- 6:56Speaker 3: thousand people. Every news organization wants to bring fifty advertisers
- 7:00Speaker 3: to the dinner. Now, Bill O'Reilly was there in the
- 7:03Speaker 3: room right near where the gunshots happened, so we'll talk
- 7:07Speaker 3: to him next. He can tell us what really happened
- 7:09Speaker 3: there that night. We'll get to that in a second.
- 7:12Speaker 3: On seven to ten, wor
