Latest / The Slippery Slope / Calvary Hospital Hostile Government Takeover
Transcript
- 0:11So I spoke about this last week. Here in Australia we have seen
- 0:14just another step in the well for the demand, in the demand
- 0:20for the government to see how far it could push its citizens,
- 0:24how far it could make us, it could go.
- 0:28We would just capitulate. Obviously.
- 0:33I'm talking about the hostile takeover of the of Canberra's
- 0:37Calvary hospital. I'll read a little section of
- 0:39this e-mail which came out from the Australian Christian Lobby
- 0:43that says that the Labour Greens A/C T which central ACT for
- 0:48those who aren't in Australia A/C T government has forcibly
- 0:52taken over all land, property and assets of the hospital.
- 0:56So aggressive was the takeover that the legislation, which was
- 0:59the Health Infrastructure and Enabling Act 2023, it allowed
- 1:05for the deployment of police to use force as is reasonably
- 1:09necessary to gain control of the facility if it was necessary.
- 1:17Goes on to say it is reasonable to conclude the hostile takeover
- 1:20of Calvary is ideologically motivated.
- 1:23Remember anyway, so this this Canberras Calvary hospital, they
- 1:28were not supportive of these legislations that they've been
- 1:32pushing ahead with in Canberra. Thus Canberra.
- 1:36The Labour, Greens A/C, T government just decided to.
- 1:41Change the legislation, put through new legislation, this
- 1:45Health Infrastructure and Enabling Act 2023, and force the
- 1:50takeover. This is the issue we've already
- 1:53saw over the last couple of years.
- 1:55Obviously, everyone knows we had this these ridiculous laws put
- 2:02into place all throughout the nation to help support the false
- 2:07narrative of the Charlie Victor. And obviously, all these people
- 2:14were made. You had to capitulate.
- 2:16You had to go along with everything.
- 2:18Otherwise you were threatened with losing your job.
- 2:23I lost my job. What else?
- 2:27You couldn't go to cafes, You couldn't do things.
- 2:29Churches were shut down. We barely, barely.
- 2:33Heard a whimper out of Christians and out of churches
- 2:36that was silenced very quickly. We had pastors, we had people.
- 2:39Some people were arrested, you know, charges were dropped later
- 2:44on, but they were arrested and forced to capitulate, forced to
- 2:47go along. I think while we didn't hear a
- 2:50lot of pushback, didn't see a lot of pushback from churches
- 2:54because Australia's been so heavily influenced.
- 2:57By over the last two decades plus by organizations like
- 3:02Hillsong, by people like Brian Houston, this, this kind of
- 3:06thing, and by very weak, weak teaching in the church that
- 3:11people, Christians, Christians, and churches just went along
- 3:15with it. There was this feeling.
- 3:18People that I spoke to, other Christians, well, you know, we
- 3:21just keep a head down. We just go along with it.
- 3:24This is what the government's telling us that why would they
- 3:26lie to us about these things? Of course we have to go along
- 3:29with it, even if it's even if it doesn't seem right, even if it
- 3:34does seem weird that churches are shut down, that we cannot
- 3:37gather and worship. But well, you know, the sex shop
- 3:42around the corner or the the bottle shop around the corner,
- 3:45they're allowed to stay open. We, we the Christian, we can't
- 3:51say too much. We have to support.
- 3:52We should just pray for the government, Jason.
- 3:56Just pray for the government, which I agree.
- 3:58We need to pray for a government.
- 4:00But the government's supposed to be standing for righteousness.
- 4:02And you don't just capitulate. You do not just agree with
- 4:07something. If the government is standing
- 4:10for unrighteous, unrighteous behaviour, you don't just stay
- 4:15silent. You're supposed to open your
- 4:18mouth anyway. Very different topic.
- 4:22So now we see this again. The governments, the Canberra
- 4:26governments pushing ahead unimpeded.
- 4:30Basically it seems like it's only the Australian Christian
- 4:33Lobby who are really talking about this, the Labour Greens.
- 4:37Remember that next time you're voting Australians, the Labour
- 4:40Greens, they're the ones that pushed ahead with this
- 4:44aggressive takeover, this legislation.
- 4:46With a forced hospital to be taken over by the government.
- 4:52If you don't think this can happen, if you never thought
- 4:54that this could happen, just cast your mind back.
- 4:56And remember how the government forced Christians into staying
- 5:01in their own homes while the sex shops were allowed to stay open
- 5:04While the bottle shops were allowed to stay open?
- 5:07Remember that. Remember we didn't.
- 5:11We didn't raise up. We didn't rise up.
- 5:14Sorry. We didn't rise up and make too
- 5:16much of A noise back then. We need to rise up and make more
- 5:19of a noise now. Rise up and make more of a noise
- 5:23if we do not make our voices heard, if we do not start
- 5:27pushing back against this kind of aggressive and egregious
- 5:33legislation that the that, you know, governments like the Labor
- 5:37Greens in in Canberra have done. If we don't start pushing back,
- 5:41it will start to permeate across the rest of the nation.
- 5:46And when you have, when you have the states, the largest states,
- 5:49start taking over hospitals or start taking over forcefully
- 5:54taking over church properties, then everyone's going to be
- 6:00saying, how did this happen? Well, who could have seen this?
- 6:05Why didn't anyone tell us? Why didn't anyone warn us that
- 6:08this could happen? The writing's on the wall.
- 6:11We need to start pushing back. Make your voice heard.
- 6:15Don't just bury your head in the sand and stick your butt in the
- 6:21air and think that no, no, if I just keep my mouth shut, it'll
- 6:25all be good and nothing will happen.
- 6:29You need to make. You need to make your voice of
- 6:36righteousness known throughout the world.
- 6:40You need to stand up and let your light shine.
- 6:45If you stand for righteousness, make your light shine.
- 6:51Don't bury it. Don't hide it.
- 6:54Don't ignore this legislation. Don't ignore what the Labour
- 6:58Greens in the ACT have done. We need to push back.
- 7:04We need to fight back. This will continue across the
- 7:07rest of the nation. If we don't what you can do
- 7:14about it Senator Matt Canavan has tabled a private members
- 7:18bill in the Senate which if it's passed it will require the ACT
- 7:23Government to conduct an inquiry into the Health Infrastructure
- 7:28Enabling Act 2023. Senator Canavan's bill has now
- 7:33been referred to a Senate committee.
- 7:36Which will receive submissions from the public. e-mail your
- 7:40state senators and the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs
- 7:45Legislation Committee to express your feelings about the Calvary
- 7:49takeover and the need for an inquiry by takeover and the need
- 7:53for an inquiry by the A/C T governments.
- 7:57Don't. Don't bury your head in the
- 8:01sand. Don't do what all these people.
- 8:04All these Christians that I know did when the Charlie Victor was
- 8:10in full swing and no one wanted to make a noise.
- 8:14If we don't stand up, this will keep moving across the nation
- 8:19and we'll have no one else to blame but ourselves.
- 8:24We need to stand for righteousness.
- 8:26We need to do what's right. That's my opinion.
- 8:29Thanks for listening to the Slippery Slope.
