- 0:00Speaker 1: Stella, We've been so excited to talk to you. Scottie
- 0:03Speaker 1: might be your biggest fan of all time. Literally all
- 0:06Speaker 1: morning he's been blasting your music and I'm like, I
- 0:08Speaker 1: feel like I've now become a massive Stella leupty fan
- 0:10Speaker 1: by Osmosis. Okay, immediately I'm like yeah, but like He's like, yeah.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It is an honor to be able to talk to you,
- 0:20Speaker 2: because what's so cool about you, Stella is like, you know,
- 0:23Speaker 2: obviously Boston blew up and people could go on your
- 0:27Speaker 2: TikTok and on your Instagram and you could literally see
- 0:29Speaker 2: the moment that it's like, oh, hello world.
- 0:32Speaker 3: No, I know, literally, what is that moment like for you?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Because I'm going to get to the other songs that
- 0:39Speaker 2: have just won over my heart. But for you, You've
- 0:41Speaker 2: been grinding at this, putting at songs and then all
- 0:44Speaker 2: of a sudden you're like, Boston boom.
- 0:46Speaker 3: What does that feel like you see your phone blowing up?
- 0:49Speaker 4: It was It was crazy because the song wasn't done
- 0:52Speaker 4: when I had posted it, so it was like there
- 0:55Speaker 4: was no song, you know, there was no song, and
- 0:57Speaker 4: so it was just a crazy thing to see so
- 1:00Speaker 4: many people resonate with this song that did not exist
- 1:04Speaker 4: in any way, shape or form, but it was.
- 1:06Speaker 5: So it was so cool. I mean thinking about you.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Like two months prior was a song that kind of
- 1:11Speaker 4: was like viral also, and so I just was like, oh,
- 1:14Speaker 4: I'm done. I was like that was like the most
- 1:16Speaker 4: viral that it will go. Like I hadn't had anything
- 1:20Speaker 4: like that prior. So I think when Boston showed up,
- 1:22Speaker 4: I was like, oh my god, like this is a whole.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Other level that I never would have foreseen.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's the crazy thing about social media is
- 1:29Speaker 1: I feel like it can completely change your life sort
- 1:31Speaker 1: of overnight. So now when you're writing music, do you
- 1:35Speaker 1: feel like you have more pressure or are you more
- 1:37Speaker 1: nervous to be vulnerable when you write because now you
- 1:40Speaker 1: know that the audience is there.
- 1:42Speaker 5: No, I think I always.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I mean I've been posting on social media for such
- 1:46Speaker 4: a long time, so I think even when there was
- 1:48Speaker 4: no audience and like you know, people weren't like consistently
- 1:52Speaker 4: showing up, I still was like always, you know, like
- 1:55Speaker 4: that was like the goal, like I wanted that. And
- 1:57Speaker 4: so I think now I'm just more like I'm just
- 2:00Speaker 4: excited to show people the music.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I'm not like hesitant.
- 2:03Speaker 2: You know, I love that because you put so many
- 2:05Speaker 2: acoustic versions on your like social medias, and it's like
- 2:08Speaker 2: yeah for us as the consumer, like it's so fun
- 2:10Speaker 2: to be able to sing along and your song is
- 2:12Speaker 2: what I love and I'm gonna get to your whole
- 2:14Speaker 2: love story in a second. But like it has so
- 2:16Speaker 2: much passion in it, and I do love like the
- 2:18Speaker 2: song something to Lose. The first time I heard that
- 2:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest with you Sello, I started crying
- 2:23Speaker 2: up because that song connects in my own relationship. And
- 2:27Speaker 2: then that makes it even better because that song is
- 2:30Speaker 2: with your boo am I not mistaken with that.
- 2:32Speaker 5: No, you're right, You're right. He's here, he's away from me.
- 2:37Speaker 3: What's That's so cool?
- 2:44Speaker 1: He's like, I'm not working, don't don't give me in.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I was just giving.
- 2:50Speaker 5: I made the camera zoom. I know.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Oh man, I'm just saying, oh well, thank you.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Sell it all the work, sell it all the work.
- 3:00Speaker 3: It's cooling it And that was it.
- 3:03Speaker 5: No bye, okay.
- 3:05Speaker 3: She's like, this is my moment.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Leaves me sh That song connects so well with the audience,
- 3:09Speaker 2: and I think it just makes it more even special
- 3:11Speaker 2: for us because you two are singing a song that
- 3:14Speaker 2: you could connect over and then your audience connects over well,
- 3:16Speaker 2: Like that's so cool.
- 3:18Speaker 5: It is so cool.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I mean, also, I love that song because I think
- 3:20Speaker 4: it's one of my most, like, in my opinion, my
- 3:23Speaker 4: best writing.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Like I feel like when I wrote that.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Song, I was like, oh my god, I'll never write
- 3:27Speaker 4: another song as good as this in my opinion, Like,
- 3:29Speaker 4: I just I love it, and so I'm glad that
- 3:32Speaker 4: people also love it.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's so cool that you guys are both artists.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Like I've seen a couple of videos of you guys
- 3:37Speaker 1: performing together, and I'm like, this is literally like the
- 3:39Speaker 1: stuff that you read about in books.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It's adorable.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And I'm wondering, since you guys are both artists, do
- 3:44Speaker 1: you guys have parameters about what you're allowed to write about? Like,
- 3:48Speaker 1: do you guys have to run it by each other first?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Do you guys get inspiration from each other and are
- 3:53Speaker 1: kind of like writing alongside each other?
- 3:55Speaker 3: How does that play into your relationship?
- 3:58Speaker 5: I feel like no, there's definitely. I mean, the nice
- 4:01Speaker 5: thing is we.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Have a good separation of like we're not always talking
- 4:04Speaker 4: about music, we're not always writing together, like we have
- 4:06Speaker 4: a very normal relationship that's not like music based.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Oh my god, this is the camera he's doing crazy.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I know, I'm getting a little emotion sick.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I know, I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, you're good.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I don't know, but we it's nice, Like I feel
- 4:19Speaker 4: like we learn a lot from each other all the time,
- 4:21Speaker 4: Like we both have really different writing styles and we
- 4:23Speaker 4: both like write based on different things. Like all the times,
- 4:27Speaker 4: I don't know, I think it's only like made my
- 4:30Speaker 4: writing better. I don't know if it made his writing better,
- 4:32Speaker 4: but he's saying yes for sure, but I don't. I
- 4:36Speaker 4: don't think, you know, it's really had like a huge
- 4:40Speaker 4: impact in terms of anything. Like I think we just
- 4:42Speaker 4: both do our do our own thing and then get
- 4:44Speaker 4: to write together, which is just like fun.
- 4:45Speaker 2: That is so cool because you guys both have a
- 4:48Speaker 2: passion for something that's so similar, but you get to
- 4:49Speaker 2: take it in your own directions, which how special is that?
- 4:52Speaker 3: And I know life has.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Obviously looked so crazy this year for you, what are
- 4:57Speaker 2: you doing to just take a step back on the
- 5:00Speaker 2: days that you're like, all right, I get a day
- 5:01Speaker 2: to just relax and I get the day to just
- 5:03Speaker 2: not be on interviews like this and doing the radio
- 5:05Speaker 2: tours and getting on stage. What does your day relaxing
- 5:08Speaker 2: look like when it's like, all right, so chill out
- 5:10Speaker 2: for a second.
- 5:12Speaker 5: I definitely hang out with my friends.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Like I feel like whenever I'm in LA or Chicago
- 5:17Speaker 4: or like wherever I am, I feel like my friends.
- 5:19Speaker 5: That's like my ideal day.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I'm like, I want to I want to be hanging
- 5:23Speaker 4: out with my friends, like doing literally nothing, because there's
- 5:26Speaker 4: so much time where there's no there's no time for nothing,
- 5:30Speaker 4: you know, there's always a million things, and so.
- 5:32Speaker 5: I think that that's always nice. I also horseback ride
- 5:34Speaker 5: a lot.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I started doing that like nine months ago, and that's
- 5:37Speaker 4: been like huge for me in terms of just like
- 5:40Speaker 4: you know, cause I don't love yoga. So I'm like,
- 5:46Speaker 4: this is my mindfulness because I never, like, i feel
- 5:48Speaker 4: like every time I've gone to the gym, I'm like
- 5:50Speaker 4: still thinking about all the things, you know, I'm still
- 5:52Speaker 4: thinking about like work and whatever. And I'm like, when
- 5:55Speaker 4: i'm actually like horseback riding, I'm not thinking about anything else.
- 5:58Speaker 4: So that's good. That's been good for.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I've heard that horseback riding and horses in general,
- 6:02Speaker 1: can be like weirdly therapeutics like they have like retreats
- 6:06Speaker 1: were like you're supposed to look into the horses eyes
- 6:08Speaker 1: and they're supposed to like resonate with your soul like.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Have you they do they do.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I've felt that because I really like, since I started
- 6:16Speaker 4: doing it, I feel like not a different person, but
- 6:20Speaker 4: I feel way more connected, Like I don't know, it's
- 6:23Speaker 4: it's definitely like it is therapeutic, very very.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You need your escape, especially with your schedule. Like as
- 6:29Speaker 2: I'm going through your social media, I'm like, girl.
- 6:31Speaker 3: You are everywhere all over and so I mean, and you're.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Doing exactly what you love to do, and you sound
- 6:36Speaker 2: so good doing it, and that's I'm so happy people
- 6:38Speaker 2: get to see this. And I saw you spent the
- 6:40Speaker 2: summer in Europe, so obviously that looked amazing. But what
- 6:44Speaker 2: were your like favorite foods in Europe? Because we talk
- 6:45Speaker 2: about traveling all the time.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Oh my favorite foods?
- 6:48Speaker 4: I don't really we it was we didn't have that
- 6:50Speaker 4: many days off. It was very like go go go
- 6:53Speaker 4: when we were there.
- 6:54Speaker 5: What did we eat? What did we eat? I'm looking
- 6:57Speaker 5: at Tracy, who who is with me? What did we eat?
- 7:00Speaker 5: What was what was a good food. I'm trying to think,
- 7:02Speaker 5: like we didn't eat anything. I don't know.
- 7:06Speaker 1: There was an olive garden somewhere they were.
- 7:09Speaker 5: In, like Reno, Nevada, Like I don't remember.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Oh maybe me and me and Vincent went out to
- 7:16Speaker 4: a restaurant one night in London and that was good.
- 7:19Speaker 5: I don't remember.
- 7:20Speaker 4: That was one of that was the crazy restaurant experience there.
- 7:23Speaker 4: The waitress that we had at this restaurant was having
- 7:25Speaker 4: a really bad day. It was actually it was I
- 7:27Speaker 4: felt bad for her, but she was not vibing and
- 7:30Speaker 4: both the food was really good, but she was.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Having a horrible day.
- 7:33Speaker 1: London does have good food.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Waited us. She hated us, she hated me Vincent, but
- 7:38Speaker 5: it was a great food.
- 7:39Speaker 1: She just didn't know who you were yet, because I mean,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you've had you've had a really crazy like last couple
- 7:44Speaker 1: of months. I mean, didn't you just perform at Madison
- 7:46Speaker 1: Square Garden with Mumba Sons. You're about to make your
- 7:49Speaker 1: grand ole Opy Opry debut. What do you think you
- 7:52Speaker 1: are more nervous for? Were you more nervous going for
- 7:54Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden or do you have more nerves coming
- 7:57Speaker 1: up for the Grand Ole Opry.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I I think Grand Old Opry. I'm not gonna lie
- 8:01Speaker 4: makes me move. I mean I think obviously there was
- 8:04Speaker 4: the nice buffer of you know, I had sang with
- 8:09Speaker 4: Mumford and Songs at Hyde Park, so they invited me
- 8:11Speaker 4: up like when I was in London, because that's where
- 8:14Speaker 4: we were, like, that's why we were really there was
- 8:15Speaker 4: for that festival, so kindly they had me come sing
- 8:19Speaker 4: with them there, which was in front of seventy five
- 8:21Speaker 4: thousand people, so it made Madison Square Garden actually feel
- 8:24Speaker 4: like kind of a walk in the park. I was like, okay,
- 8:26Speaker 4: I've already done this with you guys in front of
- 8:28Speaker 4: so many people. Like that was the most nervous I've
- 8:31Speaker 4: ever been in my life, was getting on.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Stage with them there.
- 8:34Speaker 4: But obviously Madison Square Garden is Madison Square Garden and
- 8:38Speaker 4: it's like this iconic venue that I had never into.
- 8:43Speaker 5: But I don't know.
- 8:43Speaker 4: I think singing with them, like I felt really comfortable
- 8:46Speaker 4: and they're like very nice and warm, and I feel
- 8:48Speaker 4: really safe with them, So I felt okay about it.
- 8:50Speaker 4: But I think the Grand Old Opry, obviously, I feel
- 8:53Speaker 4: the weight of all of the history and all the
- 8:57Speaker 4: amazing arts that have been there. So I'm like, I
- 8:58Speaker 4: just want to do a good job. I want to
- 9:00Speaker 4: good I think I'm more stressed for that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I feel it's gonna be fantastic. We already know. So
- 9:05Speaker 2: it's like looking into the future. We know you're gonna
- 9:06Speaker 2: crush it. And one of the biggest things that's coming
- 9:08Speaker 2: up you have your debut album coming up?
- 9:10Speaker 1: Is that?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Correct?
- 9:11Speaker 5: Yes? In like a week?
- 9:12Speaker 3: Okay, come on, Like, what are the nerves going into it?
- 9:14Speaker 5: Come out in four days? Yeah, it's my album without
- 9:17Speaker 5: in four days.
- 9:18Speaker 2: That has to be one of the coolest feelings because
- 9:21Speaker 2: you put so much time and energy for this.
- 9:23Speaker 3: So what are we getting the feel for this album?
- 9:25Speaker 2: What do you want your your fans, your listeners to
- 9:27Speaker 2: be able to say, this is how I walked into
- 9:29Speaker 2: this album.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Here's how I'm walking out. What are the emotions?
- 9:32Speaker 4: Ooh, I think I'm excited for this album because I
- 9:35Speaker 4: think there's actually a lot there's a lot of emotions.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Like it's really like the story of like it's like
- 9:41Speaker 4: looking at love from all different angles. Like there's a
- 9:43Speaker 4: breakup song in there. There's obviously songs about falling in
- 9:45Speaker 4: love and being in love and then there's also like,
- 9:48Speaker 4: you know, a song about like an inspective song about
- 9:51Speaker 4: you know, dealing with like you know, life when it's
- 9:54Speaker 4: weird and feeling like you're not sure you know why you're.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Unhappy and you should be happy.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Like I think, it's just there's so many emotions in
- 10:01Speaker 4: this album, and so I'm excited for people to see
- 10:03Speaker 4: me from all angles because I think obviously, you know,
- 10:07Speaker 4: Boston is such a happy and such a love song,
- 10:10Speaker 4: and so is Thinking about You, and so so I
- 10:12Speaker 4: think a lot of my songs are that, and I'm
- 10:14Speaker 4: excited for there to be like a bigger ray of emotions.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Yeah, And I feel like for songwriting for a lot
- 10:20Speaker 1: of artists, it's so therapeutic and it brings up things
- 10:23Speaker 1: that you wouldn't have thought on the surface of your mind,
- 10:26Speaker 1: like oh I really felt that way about love, or
- 10:28Speaker 1: I didn't know that I had learned that from that experience.
- 10:31Speaker 1: What have you learned about love from writing for this album?
- 10:35Speaker 4: I mean everything, because I think all these songs came
- 10:38Speaker 4: in a time where I was obviously falling in love
- 10:41Speaker 4: and also in a way that I hadn't ever felt
- 10:43Speaker 4: love before.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Start looking at me, looking.
- 10:47Speaker 4: At me, but I you know, it was when all
- 10:53Speaker 4: that was happening. Is I think all of these songs
- 10:55Speaker 4: are like such a you know, like a they're like
- 10:58Speaker 4: an over a bird's eye, you into like what that
- 11:01Speaker 4: process was for me in real time. But then also
- 11:04Speaker 4: like being the person that I am, where I feel
- 11:06Speaker 4: like I've been so hesitant to fall in love and
- 11:08Speaker 4: so reserved to it as a whole. I think it's
- 11:10Speaker 4: it's like it's nice to see because it feels like
- 11:13Speaker 4: it's like coming. It's like a story, you know, it
- 11:15Speaker 4: feels like you're getting a full view of it. So
- 11:18Speaker 4: for me, I feel like I just learned, like, you know,
- 11:21Speaker 4: what I'm like in that way, Like I think a
- 11:23Speaker 4: lot of these songs just showed me a lot more
- 11:24Speaker 4: about my character and like what I'm like when I'm
- 11:27Speaker 4: in love, because I hadn't really been, you know. I
- 11:30Speaker 4: was like, oh my god, I'm like really gushing over
- 11:32Speaker 4: this person and wow, I didn't know I was like that.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Gosh, And I love that because you do feel it
- 11:36Speaker 2: in your music, like you put it out there and
- 11:39Speaker 2: we feel it as if you truly.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Mean it, because, like you said on the album.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You really do this is your story do we get
- 11:45Speaker 2: to be a part of it with you.
- 11:46Speaker 3: That's so special. Now I just got we.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Got to wrap it up. We're getting we're getting the
- 11:51Speaker 1: big red light. Okay in the chat box, we're getting yelled.
- 11:54Speaker 5: At the big red light.
- 11:55Speaker 2: But we are so pumped, and just continue to watch
- 11:57Speaker 2: your career just take off. You are extraordinary and to
- 12:00Speaker 2: be able to be a part of this journey and
- 12:02Speaker 2: be able to watch it literally happening before eyes is
- 12:04Speaker 2: so cool, and so just keep doing it because the
- 12:07Speaker 2: world's a better place with your voice in it.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Thank you so much. You guys are so nice. You
- 12:12Speaker 5: are so nice. Thank you for playing my songs.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm like god, yeah, of course, Well we love listening
- 12:16Speaker 1: to them because we don't. We don't play songs we
- 12:17Speaker 1: don't like, true, we just delete them out of the list.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Well, thank you. I really nice meeting you.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Nice, Thank you, bye bye.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Thank you guys, And I recorded it so I'll send
- 12:30Speaker 5: it over to you.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Thank you so much of course, yeap, have a good one.
