- 0:02Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, Heidi Ho, 4.06 in the afternoon. It's a hot
- 0:10Speaker 2: one out there today. Monday, June 8th, 2026 is the year. Incidentally,
- 0:15Speaker 2: we're sitting with 90 degrees here on Tiffany Boulevard in Boardman.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Always honored that you tuned in here this afternoon and
- 0:20Speaker 2: you're on the air. Hello there.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Ron, it is a great day, ain't it?
- 0:24Speaker 2: It's a great day in the neighborhood.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I think we've got like five days of rain coming, but.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to rain all day, though.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I mean, it's been awful dry. A little hit and
- 0:34Speaker 2: miss showers.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I saw the Boss Lady picture, and.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Maybe J.J.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Will paint the picture and put himself in it, you know?
- 0:46Speaker 2: Like a portrait of him and the Boss Lady?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yes, yes, absolutely.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You know, it would be like a Norman Rockwell painting.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Absolutely. Depends what mood he's in, but yeah. But the
- 1:03Speaker 3: boss lady gave you some pretty good advice, though. She
- 1:06Speaker 3: said don't watch the meeting, the hearing, unless you want
- 1:13Speaker 3: to have a stroke today. So that's pretty good advice.
- 1:16Speaker 3: So I'm not going to watch it today either.
- 1:18Speaker 2: No, because it must be real frustrating to see that
- 1:21Speaker 2: kind of nonsense.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Hey, I'm really calling about your monologue, the... elections in California?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:30Speaker 3: You know how supposedly each state has control of their
- 1:35Speaker 3: own elections, right?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Okay, but see, that should be void, that should be
- 1:44Speaker 3: ended when it comes to electing people that will serve
- 1:49Speaker 3: in the federal government, like congressmen, senators. So Because they
- 1:55Speaker 3: control my life here in Ohio. If they want to
- 1:58Speaker 3: vote for a mayor, they could take two years to
- 2:01Speaker 3: figure out who voted for him. But if they're voting
- 2:04Speaker 3: for a congressman or a senator, it's going to affect
- 2:07Speaker 3: my life here in Ohio by their vote. Then that
- 2:10Speaker 3: vote should be in on within 24 hours of Election Day.
- 2:14Speaker 3: This is just, I can't even believe that nobody.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Stopped this before.
- 2:22Speaker 3: This should be some kind of halakha. federal law you
- 2:26Speaker 3: have to have anything concerning a uh... senator or congressman
- 2:34Speaker 3: all that it has to be within twenty four hours
- 2:37Speaker 3: or you have to have some kind of great explanation
- 2:41Speaker 3: for what i heard that uh... mail-in ballots like a
- 2:47Speaker 3: week after the election which is.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Rotwood fraud right.
- 2:54Speaker 2: There well you you have and first of all let's
- 2:57Speaker 2: be realistic in california they mail everybody a ballot so
- 3:01Speaker 2: if that person's dead you don't know it if that
- 3:03Speaker 2: person moved you don't know it you don't know who's
- 3:06Speaker 2: voting that ballot you don't you have we're right back
- 3:09Speaker 2: to everybody gets a ballot drop boxes and all this
- 3:13Speaker 2: nonsense so that you don't have election results and And
- 3:16Speaker 2: it's just interesting that it's mathematically impossible, they say, with
- 3:21Speaker 2: the results that you're seeing the day after the election
- 3:24Speaker 2: votes were all counted. And then all of this mail
- 3:27Speaker 2: in stuff that where the fraud happens, the mail and
- 3:30Speaker 2: stuff in the drop boxes, all of a sudden, guess what?
- 3:33Speaker 2: The Republicans are all out of it. And here's your choice,
- 3:36Speaker 2: two liberal Democrats that you get. First of all, California
- 3:40Speaker 2: has the weirdest system when it comes to an election.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's like, OK, this person really doesn't win if they're
- 3:47Speaker 2: the top vote getter. So it's almost like a primary.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Everybody's in it, whether you're Republican or Democrat. Now you vote.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And now we determine who the top two are. And
- 3:57Speaker 2: now we have another election. And you have to vote
- 4:00Speaker 2: for one of those two. It's the screwiest system to
- 4:03Speaker 2: begin with.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I don't know if it's– I think Alaska has got
- 4:08Speaker 3: something like that where, you know.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's kind of weird. It's just weird. It's just crazy.
- 4:14Speaker 2: But how can you mail everybody a ballot? You don't know.
- 4:18Speaker 2: As I say, did they move? Are they dead? Who's
- 4:20Speaker 2: voting that ballot? Right. It's– It's goofy to me that
- 4:26Speaker 2: they do a system. It has fraud in it. And
- 4:29Speaker 2: I think they say mathematically you can see the results
- 4:32Speaker 2: simply don't make sense from a mathematical standpoint. How can
- 4:35Speaker 2: you get everybody voting for a Democrat and nobody votes
- 4:38Speaker 2: for a Republican?
- 4:41Speaker 3: I've known people in memory care facilities that receive a ballot. Now,
- 4:49Speaker 3: if you don't have a son or a daughter looking
- 4:53Speaker 3: out for you know who's voting you don't know who's
- 4:58Speaker 3: filling that ballot out.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Right you don't have a clue.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yeah and yeah so my main point i guess is
- 5:07Speaker 3: for federal anything that concerns a federal election you know
- 5:12Speaker 3: president or all that the ballots should be in you
- 5:17Speaker 3: know within a reasonable amount you know one or two.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Days tops.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Otherwise, I mean, you can't trust it. At that point,
- 5:27Speaker 3: it's just a joke. And everybody said, yeah, yeah, we're
- 5:29Speaker 3: getting away with it. So what are you going to
- 5:31Speaker 3: do about it?
- 5:32Speaker 5: Right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It's just ripe with fraud is what it is. I mean,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm in total agreement.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Hey, did you see, I saw a YouTube thing. I
- 5:44Speaker 3: guess Trump actually stepped on the microphone when he took
- 5:47Speaker 3: it off and crushed it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I didn't see that, did he?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Yeah. uh..
- 5:53Speaker 3: Well apparently it according to the video i thought but
- 5:56Speaker 3: yeah he he he like took it off and i
- 5:58Speaker 3: don't think bob on the ground and when he stood
- 6:00Speaker 3: up it crunched going back to that they screwed with
- 6:07Speaker 3: him so much now he's finally he's like the catalyst
- 6:13Speaker 3: for the republicans that start fighting dirty just like the
- 6:15Speaker 3: democrats you otherwise it ain't going to be fair the
- 6:18Speaker 3: democrats have been fighting dirty for years and years and
- 6:21Speaker 3: years Now, Trump at least has, you know, brought some
- 6:26Speaker 3: light to the fact that, hey, they're doing this to us.
- 6:29Speaker 4: What are we going to do?
- 6:30Speaker 3: We're going to just sit there?
- 6:31Speaker 2: Well, my question to her is, what makes you think,
- 6:34Speaker 2: to Kristen Walker or whatever her name is, what makes
- 6:36Speaker 2: you think the election isn't crooked? I mean, so are
- 6:39Speaker 2: you sitting here telling me that you think this process
- 6:42Speaker 2: makes sense on how they're doing all of this? And
- 6:47Speaker 2: how does this mathematically make sense to you? I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 2: just as she wants him to prove that his assumption about,
- 6:55Speaker 2: I smell a rat here. Well, why shouldn't she have
- 6:58Speaker 2: to prove her assumption that everything's legit? Are we just
- 7:02Speaker 2: to assume that everything's fine according to her, but we
- 7:07Speaker 2: can't assume that this stinks to high heaven?
- 7:12Speaker 3: But she did travel all the way to Wisconsin or something.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I mean, he gave her an hour.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Right. I mean, unlike Joe Biden.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Joe Biden give her.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, unlike Joe Biden who hides in all this kind
- 7:25Speaker 2: of stuff. He does not do that. He's willing to
- 7:29Speaker 2: sit down with people that he knows don't like him, adversaries,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and answer their questions.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:36Speaker 3: The most transparent president that, you know, we know everything
- 7:40Speaker 3: he's thinking because he just says it.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Right.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And in that sense, you've got to admire it. I mean,
- 7:47Speaker 2: even my criticism of his meetings that he has, you know,
- 7:51Speaker 2: where he has his cabinet meetings, at least they're on
- 7:54Speaker 2: television and you can watch them. I get tired of
- 7:57Speaker 2: the butt kissing, but the reality is Biden never had
- 8:00Speaker 2: cabinet meetings. And in the past, presidents had them, and
- 8:03Speaker 2: you never saw anything that was going on in them.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And I would rather be able to watch him and
- 8:09Speaker 2: be critical or praise the good, be critical. In general,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I praise him for having cabinet meetings. I praise him
- 8:15Speaker 2: for putting him on television. I just get annoyed with
- 8:19Speaker 2: all the butt kissing that his cabinet members are doing.
- 8:22Speaker 3: What about all the butt kissing that went on before
- 8:25Speaker 3: Trump ran for president? When he was building buildings, he
- 8:28Speaker 3: had his TV show. All the Democrats wanted his money.
- 8:32Speaker 3: They were butt kissing. So it's just, Yeah, he's bringing
- 8:37Speaker 3: out the fact that all these people are such phonies.
- 8:41Speaker 3: All right, hey, Ron, guess what?
- 8:45Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute. First, it's the unknown caller. Guess what?
- 8:48Speaker 4: What?
- 8:50Speaker 3: I got to go.
- 8:51Speaker 2: He's always got to go. What's he got to go
- 8:53Speaker 2: and do? He always has to go. But what's he
- 8:56Speaker 2: got to go and do? You're on the air.
- 8:59Speaker 5: I don't know what he's got to go and do.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Well, he's always got to go. He says, I got
- 9:04Speaker 2: to go. Well, what do you got to go and do?
- 9:06Speaker 5: We're all busy, Ron. We're all busy.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Why, you got to go?
- 9:11Speaker 5: No, I heard George W. McKelvey speak.
- 9:14Speaker 2: What a refreshing person he is. I mean, really. I
- 9:19Speaker 2: just love him to death. I really do. He's great.
- 9:27Speaker 4: You know why I called him George W.
- 9:29Speaker 5: McKelvey?
- 9:29Speaker 4: He supported George Bush.
- 9:30Speaker 5: When he came in, remember? And the party went nuts.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I just like McKelvey's style. I mean, whether he agreed
- 9:38Speaker 2: with it. You knew where McKelvey stood on everything. And
- 9:41Speaker 2: McKelvey treated his voters as customers. And McKelvey had a
- 9:46Speaker 2: public service attitude. He just... He just had a public
- 9:49Speaker 2: service attitude. Think how refreshing. Bubba Ganoush, Bubba Ganoush, think
- 9:53Speaker 2: of those days. Pat Angaro was really a down-to-earth, really
- 9:57Speaker 2: a decent man. George McKelvey was a public servant i'm
- 10:01Speaker 2: just trying to think of the people that we had
- 10:03Speaker 2: in office at at those particular times and how how
- 10:07Speaker 2: much better it seems they were than what we have
- 10:10Speaker 2: in many ways.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Today oh they were transparent at least.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Right, like Traficant. You knew where Traficant stood. I mean,
- 10:19Speaker 2: Traficant was a guy, it's hard to imagine, he kind
- 10:23Speaker 2: of kept to himself a lot. Jim Traficant was a
- 10:26Speaker 2: very smart man. Very well educated, very well educated, very smart.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And he knew how to get things done with the
- 10:38Speaker 2: political opposition and And you look at all that he's done,
- 10:41Speaker 2: the federal courthouses, the 7-Eleven connector, the air base, the
- 10:47Speaker 2: Covelli Center. All of this stuff that he brought to
- 10:51Speaker 2: this community and not a single damn thing has his
- 10:55Speaker 2: name on it. And that is sad.
- 10:57Speaker 5: No, no, he should have a statue in front of
- 10:58Speaker 5: the Covelli Center. That's what I was proposing.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I mean, it to me is really sad. I mean,
- 11:04Speaker 2: he did so much for this community. And he's certainly
- 11:10Speaker 2: an interesting guy. But what great political people we had
- 11:14Speaker 2: at that time in our community.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Well, he had Anthony Trafficani with him.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Anthony Trafficani has been kind of a disappointment
- 11:23Speaker 2: as a county commissioner. Because can you think of anything
- 11:28Speaker 2: spectacular he's done other than he's been there forever? I'd
- 11:32Speaker 2: like to see him actually take a stand on something.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Represent something.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what? That was my big issue with him.
- 11:39Speaker 5: He doesn't take a 10. The thing that bothered me
- 11:42Speaker 5: is we had a guy that was going to invest
- 11:44Speaker 5: $ 60 million.
- 11:45Speaker 4: He was going to buy that.
- 11:47Speaker 5: He bought that steam plant downtown, and he was going
- 11:53Speaker 5: to ground up tires and then use power gasification to
- 11:57Speaker 5: make electricity and create steam, okay, and also to create diesel. Okay,
- 12:06Speaker 5: and SpaghettiO and the rest of them shut him down.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Shut him down. He was from Columbus. He was going
- 12:11Speaker 5: to use.
- 12:11Speaker 4: His own money.
- 12:13Speaker 2: That whole steam plant thing, I mean, obviously you need
- 12:17Speaker 2: it because a lot of buildings depend on it for
- 12:20Speaker 2: their comfort. So it's a facility that you need. Now,
- 12:26Speaker 2: what's the option here? What can we do to make
- 12:29Speaker 2: sure that it stays up and running and I just
- 12:33Speaker 2: don't get it, man. This last ownership of that place.
- 12:37Speaker 5: $ 60 million of his own money. And they told him,
- 12:41Speaker 5: go pound sand.
- 12:42Speaker 2: What happened to these last guys, these last investors? I mean,
- 12:46Speaker 2: they went south.
- 12:47Speaker 4: That was the guy down from Columbus.
- 12:49Speaker 5: I talked to him.
- 12:51Speaker 2: The guy that's out of business now?
- 12:54Speaker 5: I don't know if he's out of business. But if
- 12:57Speaker 5: you spend that kind of money and all of a
- 12:58Speaker 5: sudden the county says, hey, go away, go away.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I'm suspicious of everything anymore. And the reality is you
- 13:06Speaker 2: need that facility. So what options are there? Does the
- 13:10Speaker 2: taxpayer have to step forward the city or something or
- 13:14Speaker 2: the county and put money into it to get it
- 13:16Speaker 2: up and running?
- 13:18Speaker 5: I thought it was going to do that.
- 13:21Speaker 2: You can't let it close down. There's too many buildings
- 13:24Speaker 2: depending on it. They thought they could connect it up
- 13:27Speaker 2: somehow to YSU, but those lines have so deteriorated because
- 13:31Speaker 2: they weren't in use, you've got to keep the existing
- 13:34Speaker 2: ones going. So you better fix the problem before winter
- 13:37Speaker 2: gets here. You better figure out from a standpoint of, okay,
- 13:41Speaker 2: how are we going to get this thing up and
- 13:43Speaker 2: running so people can be warm in the winter because
- 13:45Speaker 2: they depend on that.
- 13:47Speaker 5: That's right. Now, let me go to the Iraq thing.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:50Speaker 5: I told you this before.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I'm listening.
- 13:52Speaker 5: And I'll tell you it again.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I'm listening.
- 13:53Speaker 5: You can't make an agreement with Islam. They won't honor
- 13:56Speaker 5: the agreement. They won't honor it.
- 13:59Speaker 2: So what do you want them to do then? So
- 14:01Speaker 2: he keeps saying, Trump keeps saying, hey, we're close to
- 14:03Speaker 2: an agreement. We're close to an agreement.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Even if he was, they wouldn't honor it.
- 14:09Speaker 2: So what do you want them to do?
- 14:09Speaker 4: Blow the shit out of them.
- 14:12Speaker 2: You can't swear like that on the air. Stop using
- 14:14Speaker 2: that S-word. You know, the next time you use that word,
- 14:18Speaker 2: I'm going to wash your mouth out with a bar
- 14:20Speaker 2: of soap. Uh-oh.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And you're going to sit in the corner for 35 minutes.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You hear me?
- 14:27Speaker 5: Just give me the bar of soap.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'll give you the bar of soap.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Listen, I'm not kidding you.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I mean, you know, I read the Koran.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Okay, but this idea... Here's the reality. I'm sorry. Things
- 14:42Speaker 2: would have been better off if he would have never
- 14:44Speaker 2: gone down this road.
- 14:45Speaker 5: No?
- 14:46Speaker 2: No, no. Yes, yes, yes. 47 years of terrorism. He's
- 14:52Speaker 2: destroyed our economy, and it could get a whole lot
- 14:56Speaker 2: worse coming up here.
- 14:58Speaker 5: You hear Scott Bessentak?
- 15:00Speaker 2: My economy's doing..
- 15:01Speaker 1: Youngstown's News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 15:06Speaker 2: All right, so I've been studying this, and I'm going
- 15:08Speaker 2: to teach you something, Baba Ganoush. So here's the reality.
- 15:13Speaker 2: When you say, well, we really have high gas prices,
- 15:16Speaker 2: but they've come down, so this is still going on.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Here's what the experts are saying. Okay, not my opinion.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Not me guessing on stuff. The people that know this
- 15:27Speaker 2: particular industry, they say we, we being the United States,
- 15:32Speaker 2: have not reached what they call tank bottom. It's called
- 15:35Speaker 2: tank bottom. Well, what the hell is that you say?
- 15:38Speaker 5: Tank bottom.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you what tank bottom is. Tank
- 15:41Speaker 2: bottom is all of the storage facilities. With all this oil,
- 15:46Speaker 2: the refineries and everything, and these giant tanks that you see,
- 15:49Speaker 2: these giant white tanks and what have you. Well, they're
- 15:53Speaker 2: not at tank bottom yet, but they're very close to
- 15:55Speaker 2: tank bottom. So we are running out of what you
- 16:01Speaker 2: would call surplus oil in all these storage tanks. And
- 16:06Speaker 2: so we're hitting tank bottom, which they say, Bubba Ganoush,
- 16:10Speaker 2: can happen in July. sometime in July, at the longest, August.
- 16:16Speaker 2: If you hit tank bottom, as other countries have already,
- 16:21Speaker 2: you have a big problem because at that point, guess
- 16:24Speaker 2: what you have? You have an oil shortage because you're
- 16:28Speaker 2: at tank bottom. So you have a serious problem that
- 16:32Speaker 2: can affect diesel and gasoline prices, as well as everything
- 16:38Speaker 2: else that comes from oil. If an agreement isn't reached,
- 16:42Speaker 2: These people are saying, real quick here, things can get
- 16:46Speaker 2: very expensive very fast. As far as the price of
- 16:51Speaker 2: a barrel of Earl, as they call it in Texas,
- 16:53Speaker 2: can get very expensive very fast and a gallon of gasoline.
- 16:58Speaker 2: So some of these experts are saying, hey, you could
- 17:02Speaker 2: see $ 120, $ 130, $ 140, $ 150, $ 160 barrel of oil come
- 17:03Speaker 2: back real quick if this thing doesn't reach a conclusion
- 17:04Speaker 2: quickly here. As far as a barrel of oil, and
- 17:13Speaker 2: you will have oil shortages because you've drained your supply
- 17:18Speaker 2: of oil, as you see in other countries. Then, I'm
- 17:22Speaker 2: not done, but I'm still, class is still in session.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Sit down. So then, if you ever work it out,
- 17:29Speaker 2: it's not a light switch. It will take months and
- 17:32Speaker 2: months and months. to get things even remotely close to
- 17:37Speaker 2: where you want it to be because you have to
- 17:39Speaker 2: refill all of these tanks, you have to restart all
- 17:41Speaker 2: these oil wells, which can take a considerable amount of time,
- 17:45Speaker 2: and the demand will be huge. So it's not like
- 17:48Speaker 2: it's going to change overnight. in a blink of an
- 17:50Speaker 2: eye like they want you to believe, and we shall
- 17:53Speaker 2: see what effect. I'm with McKelvey. Listen, even if my
- 17:57Speaker 2: gas is $ 6 a gallon, it would be a cold
- 18:00Speaker 2: day in hell before I'd vote for a Democrat or
- 18:02Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown because they destroyed the economy. They got a
- 18:05Speaker 2: wacky thing. So I'll stick with the Republicans knowing that
- 18:09Speaker 2: in time that this will remedy itself. But it can
- 18:13Speaker 2: get very expensive. This was a big mistake, a big mistake.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Sherrod Brown.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown, yeah. Oh, my God. Everything that you see
- 18:25Speaker 2: that Joe Biden did, he agreed with. He's a far-left
- 18:31Speaker 2: liberal wacko. Are you there?
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm thinking, who's Joe Bush?
- 18:40Speaker 2: A Freudian slip.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:45Speaker 2: So did you learn anything? Let's review the call. So
- 18:48Speaker 2: we're not yet. We still have a supply of oil.
- 18:50Speaker 2: We haven't hit tank bottom. Other countries have hit tank bottom.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That's why they got a serious problem as far as
- 18:56Speaker 2: oil and energy and pricing there. We haven't hit it yet,
- 19:00Speaker 2: but we're damn close to hitting it. And when we
- 19:02Speaker 2: hit it, you will see a shortage of oil and
- 19:06Speaker 2: oil prices go up and gasoline prices go up. That's
- 19:10Speaker 2: why it's important that you try to reach some type
- 19:13Speaker 2: of an agreement, which seems like it's not happening very
- 19:16Speaker 2: quickly here because if this thing drags on through July,
- 19:20Speaker 2: you've got a big problem ahead financially because we are
- 19:25Speaker 2: an oil-based economy and you will have significant inflation and
- 19:29Speaker 2: the cost of gasoline. Not my opinion. I'm just going
- 19:32Speaker 2: by these Earl experts. Right.
- 19:36Speaker 5: You know what his opinion is?
- 19:38Speaker 2: Well, this is an informed opinion, so don't give me
- 19:41Speaker 2: any BS. These are guys that understand their industry and
- 19:45Speaker 2: track this stuff. That's not like one of your opinions
- 19:48Speaker 2: that you're pulling out of your behind. These guys know
- 19:51Speaker 2: what they're talking about.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Oh, okay. I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Well, I didn't mean it to sound like that. Or
- 19:58Speaker 2: maybe I did. You understand what I'm trying to say.
- 20:03Speaker 5: I hear what you're saying, Ron. But let me tell
- 20:05Speaker 5: you something.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Don't freak out.
- 20:07Speaker 5: You got a handle on it.
- 20:09Speaker 4: You understand? Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 5: He's got a handle on it. Everything's going to be okay.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't think he does. I think he thought this
- 20:14Speaker 2: would be over much sooner. And believe me when I
- 20:17Speaker 2: tell you, I think they realize they've got a big
- 20:18Speaker 2: dilemma here because these guys aren't settling. And their philosophy,
- 20:24Speaker 2: I'm not saying Iran isn't hurting as a result of this,
- 20:27Speaker 2: but their philosophy might be we'll wait it out even
- 20:30Speaker 2: longer because we'll destroy the American economy in the midterms.
- 20:35Speaker 2: We don't know what their strategy is or their culture is.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Mull that one over, Bubba Ganoush, and respond to that tomorrow.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I'll be right back.
- 20:44Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Back to it. News Radio 570 WKVN. 435 in the afternoon,
- 20:50Speaker 2: inviting you to visit the good folks at Stadium GM
- 20:54Speaker 2: in the heart of Salem. It's where you find Mike
- 20:55Speaker 2: Hudak and the great crew that they had at Stadium GM.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You're looking for good service departments? You'll find that at
- 21:01Speaker 2: Stadium GM as well. It's kind of the backbone of
- 21:03Speaker 2: any dealership, having a good service department that can deal
- 21:06Speaker 2: with any problems you might have with your vehicle. Well,
- 21:09Speaker 2: they have that at Stadium GM. I think you'll find
- 21:11Speaker 2: that refreshing and have confidence in that. Let's talk about
- 21:15Speaker 2: all the folks that assist you in the purchase of
- 21:17Speaker 2: a car. They're not really there to sell you anything.
- 21:19Speaker 2: They're there to fulfill your needs and treat you with
- 21:21Speaker 2: dignity and respect because they want your business and they
- 21:24Speaker 2: want your family's business generation after generation. I think you'll
- 21:27Speaker 2: find that refreshing as well. Now, when I talk about
- 21:30Speaker 2: Stadium GM, they have everything that General Motors makes under
- 21:33Speaker 2: one roof. Everything. Cadillac, Buick, Chevy, GMC. It's all right
- 21:40Speaker 2: there at Stadium GM. Locally owned and operated, not part
- 21:44Speaker 2: of some giant conglomerate. Locally owned and operated by Shorty Navarro,
- 21:48Speaker 2: and that's why you get the attention you deserve. And
- 21:51Speaker 2: you'll find refreshing when you visit Stadium GM in the
- 21:53Speaker 2: heart of Salem. As my family has done, and we
- 21:56Speaker 2: buy our cars there, and I'm just telling you as
- 21:58Speaker 2: a customer, I find the staff refreshing, I find the
- 22:01Speaker 2: selection terrific, and just the respect that they have for
- 22:05Speaker 2: you as a customer. At Stadium GM in the heart
- 22:08Speaker 2: of Salem. News Radio 570, Dodie Kiviana. Let's take a
- 22:12Speaker 2: look at some of our mail. Let's see. Now, this
- 22:17Speaker 2: guy's like a mega guy. This guy is one of
- 22:19Speaker 2: those guys. There's no criticism of Trump on anything. Whatever
- 22:23Speaker 2: Trump does, I believe in 100%. I don't disagree with
- 22:26Speaker 2: Trump on anything. I check my brain at the door.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Your economic folks you interview all disagree with you about
- 22:32Speaker 2: the economy. Only Frank and G2 agree with you. You
- 22:38Speaker 2: have preached fear for months now, and you're still wrong. No,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I haven't preached fear for months. And when you talk
- 22:44Speaker 2: about the economy, what I've told you is true. Inflation
- 22:48Speaker 2: is a problem. That isn't fear. That's a reality. Inflation
- 22:53Speaker 2: is too damn high. First and foremost, let me tell
- 22:55Speaker 2: you something. I don't buy the unemployment or employment numbers.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I didn't buy them anymore under Biden when they were adjusted,
- 23:01Speaker 2: and I don't buy them under Trump. They're way too
- 23:05Speaker 2: political as far as I'm concerned. I deal with the
- 23:07Speaker 2: reality of the economy. And here's the reality. High gas
- 23:11Speaker 2: prices have an effect on people. And high gas prices
- 23:15Speaker 2: are still out there, even if it isn't $ 5 a gallon.
- 23:18Speaker 2: If it's, what, $ 4. 40 or $ 4. 50 or whatever number that
- 23:21Speaker 2: you want to pick. Some places I see $ 4 a
- 23:24Speaker 2: gallon here in my neck of the woods. Some of
- 23:26Speaker 2: them are at $ 4. 40. Some are higher than that. But
- 23:29Speaker 2: it's still higher than the $ 2. 50 we were paying. It
- 23:32Speaker 2: still takes more money out of your pocket simply to
- 23:34Speaker 2: fill up your tank. So my emailing friend said, People
- 23:42Speaker 2: only have so much money in their pocket. And if
- 23:43Speaker 2: they're spending more for gasoline, it's less to spend everywhere else.
- 23:47Speaker 2: If oil and energy costs more, just like it costs
- 23:50Speaker 2: more for diesel for the farmer to run the tractor,
- 23:54Speaker 2: for the semi to deliver your goods, just as it
- 23:56Speaker 2: did when Biden had these price spikes, it creates inflation.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Unlike you, my emailing friend that seems to think it
- 24:04Speaker 2: only applies under Democrats, it also applies under Republicans. Inflation
- 24:08Speaker 2: is way higher than it should be added on to
- 24:10Speaker 2: existing inflation. And that does create economic hardships on a
- 24:14Speaker 2: large segment of our population. That is the reality. That
- 24:18Speaker 2: isn't fear. That's the reality. Deal with it. And high
- 24:23Speaker 2: gas prices don't help it. And there's nothing about fear
- 24:28Speaker 2: to talk about. Educate yourself. Learn what tank bottom is.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Learn what these people that are experts in their field,
- 24:35Speaker 2: because we all have opinions, but you have to read
- 24:38Speaker 2: the experts in their field and what they have to
- 24:40Speaker 2: say about their industry. I didn't know all the different
- 24:44Speaker 2: types of oil there is until I studied what they
- 24:46Speaker 2: had to say. I learned more about oil and refineries
- 24:50Speaker 2: than I ever thought I would learn. I learned more
- 24:52Speaker 2: about storage and shortages. And tank bottom and all this
- 24:56Speaker 2: kind of stuff while the United States is going through
- 24:59Speaker 2: its storage and going to hit tank bottom at many
- 25:01Speaker 2: of these refineries. And that's when you have a serious
- 25:04Speaker 2: problem if this thing isn't wrapped up in July or August.
- 25:08Speaker 2: And then you will see prices of oil go up
- 25:10Speaker 2: higher than you would like. And you'll see gasoline prices
- 25:14Speaker 2: go up higher than you would like. That's the reality.
- 25:19Speaker 2: And I hope we don't. hit that. I would like
- 25:21Speaker 2: to see this thing get resolved. And yes, I go
- 25:23Speaker 2: back to say this was a mistake from day one,
- 25:26Speaker 2: in my opinion. The economy is not destroyed. What do
- 25:31Speaker 2: you read? The Russian Times for sources?
- 25:34Speaker 5: No.
- 25:34Speaker 2: I read those people. The experts. Obviously you don't. Let's see.
- 25:48Speaker 2: More folks in high income brackets now From middle income.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Oil's coming down. You didn't even hear a word I say.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Research tank bottom. Just go research for yourself and educate
- 26:01Speaker 2: yourself as to what's going on in the oil industry.
- 26:04Speaker 2: You don't understand it. So according to this guy, what
- 26:07Speaker 2: difference do high prices make? All of you are going
- 26:09Speaker 2: from middle class to high incomes. Once again, he's delusionary
- 26:14Speaker 2: and this is insane. Let's see. Is there anything else?
- 26:19Speaker 2: I've got to do it for now. You're on the air.
- 26:26Speaker 4: You've become a Democrat hack.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Well, you know, first of all, there were a lot
- 26:30Speaker 2: of disappointed people that you were not painting out at
- 26:33Speaker 2: the flea market.
- 26:34Speaker 4: My son's in the hospital. He had a So I
- 26:38Speaker 4: couldn't get out there, and so I apologize. You guys
- 26:42Speaker 4: didn't really miss anything.
- 26:43Speaker 3: But no, I had to.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Take care of it.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Well, we wanted you to do a portrait of the
- 26:48Speaker 2: boss lady while you were out there. You could have
- 26:50Speaker 2: painted her portrait.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 2: You would be out there with your little thing with
- 27:00Speaker 2: the paints on that big board you guys artists have,
- 27:02Speaker 2: and you'd be looking at her, and you'd be going, okay,
- 27:05Speaker 2: I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Turn a little bit to the left, turn a little
- 27:08Speaker 4: bit to the right.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That kind of stuff, you know. You'd have a fan
- 27:13Speaker 2: blowing on her, you know, blowing her hair back like.
- 27:15Speaker 4: They do for these models. It would be a nice look. Yes.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Nice look. Yes. So how was your weekend?
- 27:22Speaker 2: It was great. I mean, it was wonderful. I mean,
- 27:25Speaker 2: I hope you had a good one. I hope your
- 27:27Speaker 2: son is going to be okay.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I hope so, too. But if everything's okay, I'm
- 27:34Speaker 4: going to get out there Wednesday and then Sunday after
- 27:37Speaker 4: the flea market. I really kind of need it. I
- 27:40Speaker 4: saved my money, and my wife put a couple dollars
- 27:47Speaker 4: in for her early birthday gift. She got me a
- 27:50Speaker 4: UV blacklight, which I'm going to do is I'm going
- 27:52Speaker 4: to put up... like a black tarp inside the tent
- 27:56Speaker 4: and then it illuminates all my paintings in a certain way.
- 27:59Speaker 4: And it's, um, that was really, it was really a
- 28:01Speaker 4: nice gesture that she did for me. And it really
- 28:03Speaker 4: is illuminates all the paintings that I've done with fluorescent.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Now, how would you describe your style? If I look
- 28:10Speaker 2: at one of your paintings, would I be able to
- 28:12Speaker 2: recognize what I'm looking at? Or is it like these said,
- 28:15Speaker 2: you just throw paint against a canvas and it's like,
- 28:17Speaker 2: what the hell is that?
- 28:19Speaker 4: I've tried a lot of things. I first started out
- 28:21Speaker 4: called fluid art, fluid painting. And what you do is
- 28:24Speaker 4: you kind of, you have to mix the paints a
- 28:26Speaker 4: certain way and then you can use different items to
- 28:30Speaker 4: spread the paint. And it gives like... different looks like
- 28:34Speaker 4: a cells. It makes it look like cells. And then
- 28:36Speaker 4: I started to draw a little bit more. And then
- 28:38Speaker 4: now I do, um, one of my stuff is spray
- 28:41Speaker 4: paint and I do, um, just, um, landscaping. And, and
- 28:45Speaker 4: I love my, I love science. I love space. And
- 28:48Speaker 4: so I do a lot of the stuff with, um,
- 28:50Speaker 4: planets and, and, um, galaxies. I drive paint and, um, it's, it's,
- 28:55Speaker 4: you know, it's, it's really, that doesn't take anybody. I mean,
- 28:57Speaker 4: anybody can do it.
- 28:58Speaker 2: It's just, I, um, I experimented myself, uh, with fluid
- 29:02Speaker 2: art when I was a young man. I also experimented
- 29:06Speaker 2: with fluid art when I was a young man.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Did you?
- 29:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yes, I did.
- 29:14Speaker 4: It makes me happy.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I was quite an artist.
- 29:17Speaker 4: I'm sure you probably are. There's an artist in all
- 29:23Speaker 4: of us. If you want to enjoy doing it, tap
- 29:26Speaker 4: into it.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I was like Michelangelo.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Michelangelo, yeah. He was a good one, he did. I
- 29:34Speaker 4: tell you, he painted that whole ceiling with his head
- 29:36Speaker 4: bent like that. I don't know how he did that.
- 29:39Speaker 2: So what are you doing now? Do you do portraits?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Do you do landscapes?
- 29:44Speaker 4: If I have to do portraits, I have to use
- 29:45Speaker 4: a projector and almost kind.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Of paint by number.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Paint by number? No, no, no. I just, I just
- 29:56Speaker 4: do that. You have to see it sometimes. It's just like,
- 29:59Speaker 4: you know, you have to go on YouTube at one
- 30:01Speaker 4: time and just pull up spray paint art and you'll
- 30:04Speaker 4: see what I do.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Are you on YouTube or is it just what I
- 30:09Speaker 2: would say?
- 30:10Speaker 4: No, no, no. What the hell?
- 30:11Speaker 2: Now, when you tell me, now, J.J.
- 30:13Speaker 4: I'm too sensitive to that.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Now, J.J., J.J. the liberal, when I think about spray
- 30:19Speaker 2: paint art, I'm going to tell you what I think of.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I think of the graffiti on the side of train
- 30:24Speaker 2: cars that go by. Incidentally, some of these kids that
- 30:28Speaker 2: do the graffiti on some of these train cars are
- 30:30Speaker 2: really good.
- 30:32Speaker 4: I mean, you know, I'm not even on the same
- 30:34Speaker 4: plane with those guys. Those guys are.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I mean, you look at some of that graffiti is
- 30:38Speaker 2: really well done. I'm not talking about the people who
- 30:40Speaker 2: just spray paint induced defaced stuff. But when you look
- 30:44Speaker 2: at some people that actually have really real good art
- 30:47Speaker 2: with spray paint art on the side of these train cars.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Those guys are gifted. They're gifted people. They really have
- 30:52Speaker 4: a unique perspective on things, and they know how to
- 30:57Speaker 4: express themselves. And that's the whole idea of what art
- 30:59Speaker 4: is in many and all different forms of art. It's
- 31:01Speaker 4: just expressing yourself and your love of whatever it might be, whatever,
- 31:05Speaker 4: you know, whatever. Whatever you like to do, whether it's
- 31:10Speaker 4: music or painting or art.
- 31:12Speaker 2: So do you say, okay, here is my selection out
- 31:15Speaker 2: at the flea market. What is this one, Will? This
- 31:18Speaker 2: is the unique dog's shooting pool. You know that picture
- 31:22Speaker 2: here of the dogs playing pool?
- 31:23Speaker 4: No, I don't do that. But you have to see
- 31:27Speaker 4: some time. Like I just finished up a 24 by 24,
- 31:32Speaker 4: 21 by 24 painting. I did the bat signal, Batman's
- 31:36Speaker 4: bat signal. You know, like where it always goes in
- 31:38Speaker 4: the sky and it has the bat. I just kept
- 31:41Speaker 4: playing around in my son's. likes Batman. So I, um, I,
- 31:44Speaker 4: I did something for him that way.
- 31:45Speaker 2: And, but anyway, I, um, I just was, uh, well,
- 31:48Speaker 2: why don't you, why don't you take a picture on
- 31:51Speaker 2: your cell phone and email me a picture of some
- 31:54Speaker 2: of your paintings?
- 31:55Speaker 4: I'll do that here in a few minutes. I'll be
- 31:56Speaker 4: more than happy to.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I mean, I want to see some of the, I
- 32:00Speaker 2: want to see some of the collection.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah, you could critique me. Yes. They did a movie,
- 32:06Speaker 4: History of the World, part one. I don't know if
- 32:08Speaker 4: you ever saw it. It's a Mel Brooks movie. And
- 32:11Speaker 4: the first, there was an artist that drew something, a caveman.
- 32:14Speaker 4: He drew something on the ground. And another caveman came
- 32:17Speaker 4: up to it and said the first art critic. And
- 32:20Speaker 4: he pulled down his, lifted up his fur and he
- 32:23Speaker 4: peed on it.
- 32:24Speaker 2: So here's my idea. You could paint a landscape. Listen, J.J.,
- 32:29Speaker 2: this is so good at the Four Seasons Flea Market.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I want you to paint the Poland Library slowly sinking
- 32:35Speaker 2: into the ground. Follow me? So like half the library
- 32:39Speaker 2: will be under the ground and the rest will be
- 32:43Speaker 2: like a sinking ship like the Poland Library.
- 32:48Speaker 4: I finally got that guy's name, Gene, who you talked
- 32:51Speaker 4: to earlier. I have to learn to express myself like
- 32:55Speaker 4: he does. He's very articulate. He's very calm when he's
- 32:59Speaker 4: speaking to you. You guys both give each other an
- 33:01Speaker 4: opportunity to speak and engage. I like that man quite
- 33:06Speaker 4: a bit.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Do you know how I remember his name?
- 33:09Speaker 4: He doesn't give the Democrats a pass, you know. And,
- 33:14Speaker 4: you know, he speaks from the heart. Yes. He's out
- 33:17Speaker 4: there listening. You're a good man. Yes.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I remember his name because of the gong show, Gene, Gene,
- 33:22Speaker 2: the Dancing Machine.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Yeah, Gene, Gene, the Dancing Machine.
- 33:24Speaker 2: But that's how I remember his name. But, see, I
- 33:26Speaker 2: wanted him to know because him and I have debated
- 33:30Speaker 2: politics just as you and I have for a long time. But, see,
- 33:33Speaker 2: that's why Sam, not a cheerleader, I agree with the court.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Trump's name shouldn't be on the Kennedy Center. I don't
- 33:39Speaker 2: want Trump's name on everything. I mean, get it off
- 33:42Speaker 2: the Kennedy Center. Stop the arse kissing on the cabinet meetings.
- 33:46Speaker 2: I mean, what's the point of this arch you want
- 33:49Speaker 2: to build? I mean, knock some of this stuff off.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Yeah, he's done something good. I want him to plaster
- 33:55Speaker 4: his name on it because that's what you're doing. That's
- 33:59Speaker 4: his effort that he put into something. So I don't
- 34:00Speaker 4: mind seeing him do that. But I agree with you
- 34:04Speaker 4: that it's quite frankly, I try to give him credit
- 34:07Speaker 4: that it's beneath him to do that. He shouldn't be
- 34:09Speaker 4: doing that. He should just let his words and his
- 34:11Speaker 4: actions speak.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I didn't have a problem, JJ. I did not have
- 34:14Speaker 2: a problem with him. with this meet the press thing
- 34:18Speaker 2: because she's making an assumption that the California election isn't
- 34:22Speaker 2: rigged and he's making an assumption that it is rigged.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I have a tendency more to agree with the president
- 34:28Speaker 2: on how long it's taking to count these votes and
- 34:30Speaker 2: the dramatic change in the outcome. And how many people
- 34:34Speaker 2: are saying this mathematically doesn't make a lick of sense.
- 34:37Speaker 2: None of this makes a lick of sense. And we're
- 34:39Speaker 2: mailing everybody a ballot. We're mailing everybody a ballot. They
- 34:43Speaker 2: could be dead. They could have moved. We got drop boxes.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Everything that fraud is made of. exist in California, and
- 34:51Speaker 2: they want these same incompetent people elected that spent all
- 34:55Speaker 2: of this money with zero results. I'm going to end homelessness, Karen.
- 35:00Speaker 2: What's her name? Karen Bass said as mayor, and it's worse.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Where'd all the money go? Who stole all the money?
- 35:06Speaker 4: Exactly. the thing is that i uh... it i'd i'd
- 35:09Speaker 4: i'd be up to simplify it the elections where if
- 35:12Speaker 4: you're if you don't request and i a baby what uh...
- 35:16Speaker 4: mail-in ballots and that should only be for certain people
- 35:18Speaker 4: that are better in the home and they can't get
- 35:20Speaker 4: out uh... there's maybe i'm very certain.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Period like if you're going to be out of town
- 35:24Speaker 2: if you're traveling.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Buddy you make the effort to go in and vote uh...
- 35:28Speaker 4: i don't but i believe that there's always election fraud
- 35:30Speaker 4: that is going on but i believe that it's uh...
- 35:33Speaker 4: we uh... we we catch a lot of the california
- 35:36Speaker 4: they have That that's stupid to be able to let
- 35:38Speaker 4: you get a ballot up to like, you know, and
- 35:41Speaker 4: mail it in afterwards and stuff like that after the date.
- 35:43Speaker 4: You can't do that. There's too much too much. It
- 35:46Speaker 4: can be right with fraud based on that. So I'm
- 35:50Speaker 4: very much 100 percent in agreement with you that there's
- 35:53Speaker 4: these things that and it just gives the perception that
- 35:55Speaker 4: there's some hanky panky going on.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 35:58Speaker 4: I just don't agree with that. I think we can
- 36:00Speaker 4: simplify things and then we can take that, eliminate that
- 36:04Speaker 4: idea of a that being fraud is being manipulated, manipulating
- 36:09Speaker 4: our elections. I mean, there's times I said that there
- 36:11Speaker 4: has happened. But to say that it's widespread and that
- 36:14Speaker 4: it's I really don't believe it's feasible or it's it's
- 36:17Speaker 4: it's plausible. But again, it needs to be addressed. And
- 36:21Speaker 4: if it isn't, then we're going to continue with this.
- 36:23Speaker 4: And then the people like you and me that want
- 36:26Speaker 4: to believe that things are on the straight is going
- 36:32Speaker 4: to give us the perception or it's going to give
- 36:33Speaker 4: us the idea that things aren't. And I don't like that.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I have to believe that faith that that things are
- 36:39Speaker 4: uh we're doing things the right way and but it
- 36:41Speaker 4: needs a lot of changes and i and i have
- 36:44Speaker 4: an agreement 100 with that and uh um and again
- 36:47Speaker 4: with the um you know the thing in the war
- 36:49Speaker 4: going on it's um you know it's it's things have got.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Uh right stop here you know all right take some
- 36:56Speaker 2: pictures take some pictures of your paintings and email them
- 37:00Speaker 2: to me i gotta.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Go i will do that unless you get another call
- 37:03Speaker 1: Radio 570 WKBN.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Hi-dee-ho. 4.55 in the afternoon. News Radio 570 WKBN. For
- 37:11Speaker 2: your next car, truck, or SUV, new or used, here's
- 37:14Speaker 2: my suggestion for your family. And that's visit Stadium GM.
- 37:19Speaker 2: If you haven't been a customer of Stadium GM in
- 37:21Speaker 2: the heart of Salem, Go down and see what the
- 37:24Speaker 2: Stadium GM difference is. As a customer, I share it
- 37:27Speaker 2: with you. It's not part of some big conglomerate where
- 37:30Speaker 2: you get lost in the mix where you're a number.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Shorty Navarro, Stadium GM. Mike Hudak's been there for years.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Shorty Navarro. And they carry everything that General Motors makes.
- 37:40Speaker 2: All right. Cadillac, Buick, GM, Chevy. It's all there under
- 37:46Speaker 2: one roof. So whether you're leasing or buying, new or used,
- 37:49Speaker 2: you'll find it right there at Stadium GM. And you'll
- 37:52Speaker 2: find a dealership that has a great service department that
- 37:54Speaker 2: values your business. You're not a number to them. You're
- 37:58Speaker 2: a member of the family. And that's true. And they
- 38:00Speaker 2: treat you that way. And they want to keep your
- 38:01Speaker 2: business year after year after year. And that's the Shorty
- 38:05Speaker 2: Navarro way. And that's the way that they do it
- 38:07Speaker 2: at Stadium GM in Heart of Salem. For your next car, truck,
- 38:10Speaker 2: or SUV, visit Stadium GM in Salem or check out
- 38:13Speaker 2: the website, StadiumGM.com, incidentally, where you can see all of
- 38:17Speaker 2: our products, used cars, Carfax reports, cars, trucks, SUVs right there,
- 38:21Speaker 2: competitive pricing, refreshing how business is done. And I think
- 38:25Speaker 2: you'll find it to be the case, as my family
- 38:27Speaker 2: did at Stadium GM in the heart of Salem. They
- 38:30Speaker 2: are good people. I'll let you know. Let's see. From Mike,
- 38:34Speaker 2: this is from my email. Let's see. I'm going to
- 38:37Speaker 2: read this. Take out Iran's leadership. Most of that was
- 38:44Speaker 2: taken out the first day. Anytime I hear the U.S.
- 38:47Speaker 2: is negotiating with Iran, since it's usually not mentioned with whom,
- 38:52Speaker 2: I envision Trump on the phone with a janitor from
- 38:55Speaker 2: a mosque or Persian rug salesman from the marketplace. This
- 39:00Speaker 2: thing about the current administration knowing more than we know,
- 39:03Speaker 2: undoubtedly they will know some top secret thing that we
- 39:07Speaker 2: don't know. But how about an explanation of what the
- 39:10Speaker 2: strategy is? No secret plans, just an explanation of how
- 39:14Speaker 2: we're going to get out of this mess. I mean,
- 39:16Speaker 2: even when I was in the Gulf War, I'd see
- 39:18Speaker 2: old clips of Schwarzkopf years after explaining our plans to
- 39:23Speaker 2: liberate Kuwait. What Schwarzkopf said was going to be done
- 39:26Speaker 2: is what happened. Something about cutting the head off the stake.
- 39:29Speaker 2: What is so secret about the Iran debacle? The cat's
- 39:32Speaker 2: already out of the bag. What could be so secret
- 39:35Speaker 2: that it can't be told? So who first uttered the
- 39:38Speaker 2: phrase of they know more than we know? Was it Levin?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Fox News? Lindsey Graham? It's not convincing me that the
- 39:45Speaker 2: Iran situation was or is a good idea. A little
- 39:49Speaker 2: bit of email right there for you. And I'll have
- 39:52Speaker 2: more of those and more of your calls straight ahead.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Next hour is coming. We're here tonight until 6 o'clock.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Guardians pregame after 6 on NewsRadio 570. So keep that
- 40:04Speaker 2: in mind tonight. Ron Verp from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Always honored that you tuned in. 88 degrees here on
- 40:10Speaker 2: a Monday afternoon, June 8th. Hidey-ho, boys and girls. We're
- 40:14Speaker 2: coming back with more, so don't touch that dot.
- 40:22Speaker 7: From ABC News, I'm Lindsay Davis, anchor of Prime, streaming
- 40:26Speaker 7: weeknights on ABC News Live. President Trump is trying to
- 40:29Speaker 7: keep his negotiations and ceasefire with Iran from literally and
- 40:32Speaker 7: physically blowing up. Iran and Israel say they have stopped attacks.
- 40:36Speaker 7: ABC's Jonathan Karl.
- 40:37Speaker 6: The president did an interview with the Financial Times. And
- 40:41Speaker 6: he said that Benjamin Netanyahu would have to go along
- 40:44Speaker 6: with whatever peace deal he gets with Iran. He won't
- 40:46Speaker 6: have any choice.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I call the shots.
- 40:49Speaker 6: But despite all of that, Israel obviously went on and
- 40:52Speaker 6: attacked Iran.
- 40:54Speaker 7: Ukraine says Russian drones attacked a nuclear storage site near Chernobyl,
- 40:57Speaker 7: but radiation levels are stable. After nearly half a million
- 41:01Speaker 7: Russian troops have been killed in the war, this from
- 41:03Speaker 7: ABC's Ian Pannell in Moscow.
- 41:04Speaker 5: We have managed to speak to some people here, including
- 41:07Speaker 5: some who said, look, they supported Vladimir Putin.
- 41:10Speaker 2: They thought that there was a justification for the start
- 41:13Speaker 2: of the war. But now there are doubts.
- 41:16Speaker 7: Securities boosted for President Trump's visit to attend the third
- 41:19Speaker 7: game of the NBA championship just.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Hours away in New York.
- 41:22Speaker 7: The NYPD has moved the Knicks watch party outside Madison
- 41:25Speaker 7: Square Garden for security reasons. Matt McCool with the Secret Service.
- 41:28Speaker 3: You will see Secret Service police and special agents, transportation
- 41:32Speaker 3: security officers, federal air marshals, and NYPD officers throughout the area.
- 41:38Speaker 7: The Knicks lead the series two games to none for
- 41:40Speaker 7: the San Antonio Spurs. An offshore magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit
- 41:43Speaker 7: the southern Philippines today, killing at least 35 people, injuring
- 41:47Speaker 7: more than 140 others, officials say. Ohio police say an
- 41:51Speaker 7: 18-year-old is in custody for questioning in connection to the
- 41:54Speaker 7: mass shooting over the weekend at a summer festival in Toledo.
- 41:56Speaker 2: 12 people were injured.
- 41:58Speaker 7: March through May was the second warmest spring on record
- 42:01Speaker 7: behind 2012 in the lower 48 states of the U.S.
- 42:04Speaker 7: That from a new report from the National Oceanic and
- 42:06Speaker 7: Atmospheric Administration. Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas had their
- 42:11Speaker 7: warmest spring since recording began in 1895. On Wall Street,
- 42:15Speaker 7: the major indexes were mixed at the start of trading.
- 42:17Speaker 7: You're listening to ABC News.
