- 0:04Speaker 1: The Joe Rogan Experience.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day. Hey.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, what's up, brother?
- 0:14Speaker 2: What's up, man? Good to see you. What's going on?
- 0:16This is a good time for you to come in, man,
- 0:18right after this weekend.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Holy shit. Pretty good time, brother.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I mean, everybody's talking about the Sean Strickland-Hamsa fight and
- 0:25the debate, but before we even talk about that, bro,
- 0:28how fucking good is Joshua Vann? And he's only been
- 0:32fighting about five years.
- 0:34Speaker 3: That's what's scary.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Five years.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Crazy. And he has some holes, for.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Sure, that certain guys are going to expose.
- 0:44Speaker 2: He's not the best on the ground. He's also 24.
- 0:47He's also 24.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Crazy athlete. But his fucking boxing, it might be the
- 0:53best in the UFC. It's up there. It's up there.
- 0:56Him or Ilya. Yeah. Well, Ilya. The thing about Ilya
- 0:59is Ilya is one punch, night-night. That's the difference.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It's tough at flyweight to be a knockout artist. But
- 1:05then also Josh.
- 1:06Speaker 2: David Davison, Figueredo. True. True. He was starching people.
- 1:10Speaker 3: He was. But with Josh too, again, he's 24. But
- 1:14in Tutsi or Tyra, he also just was blocking punches
- 1:18with his face.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Well.
- 1:19Speaker 3: That's the other thing.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Like his defense was so bad. I think it was
- 1:23that Joshua Vann's offense was so good. You know what?
- 1:26I think it's a combo of both. Yeah. It's a
- 1:28combo of both.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 2: For sure. Because Tyra is primarily a grappler. I mean,
- 1:32he's obviously a mixed martial arts fighter and he did strike.
- 1:35I mean, that's why he didn't completely get blown out
- 1:38of the water. He did strike pretty well. It's just
- 1:41the counters came so clean, so sharp. Like I rewatched
- 1:47some of it today and I was like, good Lord,
- 1:49that's pretty. So good. He looks so good. And again, 24. And,
- 1:55you know, it took all the stink off of the
- 1:57way he won the title. Yeah, but not me.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I'm sure not you. But there's a lot of questions
- 2:03that haven't been answered.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oh, for sure. Because Pantoja's a motherfucker. Pantoja's a straight
- 2:09up assassin.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:11Speaker 2: How would he do against Pantoja? Hey, man. But again.
- 2:13His stock went up after this fight. I'll tell you that. Look,
- 2:16it was always up, right? But Tyra was a real threat.
- 2:19Tyra got him on the ground. Wasn't able to submit him.
- 2:22Joshua Vange paced him up on the feet, man.
- 2:26Speaker 3: But again, at 24, so let's say they do the
- 2:29Pantoja rematch, whatever, Q4, and let's say Pantoja gets that win.
- 2:34Speaker 2: All good? He's 24.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:37Speaker 2: He's going to be your champ for a very long time.
- 2:39And how old is Alexandre Pantoja at this point? Not young.
- 2:43In flyweight years, he's 67.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah, flyweight's tough.
- 2:49Speaker 2: 36. 36. Yeah, that's tough.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 2: That's tough. If he was a middleweight, you'd be like, hmm.
- 2:54That's the beginning of the slide. Right? That's the beginning
- 2:56of the slide. Yeah. For welterweight, you're like, ooh. Yeah.
- 2:59But at flyweight. Oh, bro. It's crazy.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Heavyweight is like, oh, he's in his prime.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Oh, we're cooking it.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Look at Francis. Yeah. Francis is like 38 or something.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Is he 38?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Francis is in his fucking prime. Nobody looks at Francis
- 3:12and goes, oh, he's over the hill. Oh, never.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Not at all. No.
- 3:15Speaker 3: There's some old cats at heavyweight doing the damn thing,
- 3:17especially now. The heavyweight divisions.
- 3:19Speaker 2: How old's Volkov?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Honestly, I don't think he's as old as you think
- 3:26he is.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:28Speaker 2: He was a Bellator champion, M1 champion. He was a
- 3:31Bellator champion in the early days of Bellator.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 2: And remember he had in Bellator.
- 3:35Speaker 3: And then when he first got the UFC, he had
- 3:37that Moana tattoo on his back.
- 3:39Speaker 2: He had the sting, right? And he changed it into
- 3:42that Japanese mask.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I like this.
- 3:44Speaker 3: The new one looks dope. The new one looks dope.
- 3:46Speaker 2: It's so dope.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I like to think I'm the one that kind of
- 3:49bullied him into doing that because it's all I ever
- 3:52talked about for like six years when he fought. Oh, no.
- 3:54And he comes out with just this dope-ass samurai tattoo.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, there it is. Well, sometimes you realize, like,
- 3:59this ain't making it. I got to fix this. Yeah,
- 4:02especially that.
- 4:02Speaker 3: People are like, bro, why do you have a fucking
- 4:04stingray on your back?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Bro, speaking of tattoos, how many tattoos does Sean Brady have?
- 4:08That motherfucker's feet are tattooed. Bro. Like, his entire body's tattooed.
- 4:12How good did he look? Phenomenal.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Phenomenal. I always get stressed out because everyone's asking for
- 4:18betting picks before the fights. MMA's tough, dude.
- 4:21Speaker 2: MMA's tough to fucking pick.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So with the Joaquin Buckley fight, the reason I told
- 4:28my brother, I'm like, literally put your mortgage on Sean Brady.
- 4:31Because Joaquin Buckley did an interview like a week before.
- 4:34He's like, I'm not even working on grappling. I'm not
- 4:37wrestling or grappling. I'm just going to keep this thing
- 4:38standing and knock this motherfucker out.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I was like, oh, buddy. No way. He really said that? Yeah,
- 4:43you can find it out there, Jimmy. But that could
- 4:44have been just a bullshit tactic to try to get
- 4:47Sean Brady. Because Sean Brady probably saw that interview, too. Yeah,
- 4:50and was like, cool, say less.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I know, but I mean— Ten, seven rounds?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Three of them? I know. It was nuts. But I mean,
- 4:57you could say that— I hear you. If you were
- 5:01just playing mental games. I get you. But maybe he
- 5:04actually did that. And it appeared so. Well, hard to say,
- 5:08because that's how good Sean Brady is.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Hard to say. It's just tough when you lose like that.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Because you go back to the locker room and you're like, fuck,
- 5:18we're not even in the same— No. Like I'm– what
- 5:22am I going to do? You look at your coaching
- 5:24staff and you go, what are we going to do?
- 5:25I thought I was a top five guy. I just
- 5:28got beat 10-6, three rounds in a row.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Okay. I was going to bring this up. So I
- 5:33have some insight to this. So there was a very
- 5:35strange betting behavior. It says it turns out to be meaningless.
- 5:39BetOnline cited abnormal betting patterns as Buckley moved from– Plus
- 5:44150 underdog to minus 220 favorite before the fight. So
- 5:48this is what happened. There was money that moved very
- 5:52quickly before the fight. And the UFC, obviously, because they've
- 5:55been through this shit with the guys fixing fights and
- 5:59the FBI investigated it, they got concerned. And so I
- 6:03believe what happened is they minimized the amount that you
- 6:06could bet online. So you couldn't bet big money anymore.
- 6:10I don't know what the– let's find out what the
- 6:11cap they put on it was. But then you they
- 6:18were going to go ahead with the fight, but they
- 6:19wanted to make sure that Sean Brady wasn't injured. So
- 6:21this was the fear. The fear was that some inside
- 6:24camp word got out, Sean Brady's got an injury, and
- 6:27then all the money jumps up. Because a lot of
- 6:29times that's what happens.
- 6:30Speaker 3: But they did it right because before they would just
- 6:32cancel the fight.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Like, we don't know what's going on here. We're just
- 6:34going to cancel the fight. No, just take the fight
- 6:36off the betting sites. Well, they only did that one time.
- 6:40They did that one time with Alexander Hernandez. I don't
- 6:43remember who he was fighting. I don't remember who Alexander
- 6:46Hernandez was fighting. But they did that with that fight.
- 6:49And I thought that was really crazy. They asked Alexander, like,
- 6:53are you okay? He's like, I'm fine. Like, I am
- 6:55planning on winning this fight. But for some reason, he
- 6:58became an underdog. Nothing came out from it either. No.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Like, I wish they'd be a little more transparent. Like, okay,
- 7:04we looked into it. It's our bat, this, you know.
- 7:06But they just canceled the fight.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And so everyone, now we just assume. Something happened. Something happened.
- 7:11Somebody's being dirty. Yeah, but then Hernandez fought again and
- 7:15lost his next fight. Fuck, who did he fight? He
- 7:19fought someone on a fight night. It was a very
- 7:21good fight. Very close fight. The dude was very good.
- 7:24But I'm glad they're not just pulling the fight. Oh,
- 7:28Michael Johnson. That's right. It was supposed to be Michael Johnson.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But they didn't. have that fight, and then who did
- 7:34he fight next instead? So let's just go over this
- 7:38real quick before we figure out who he fought. It
- 7:40made suspicious betting movement. So what is suspicious betting movement?
- 7:44Like what if you and your boys all go, fuck it,
- 7:47I'm going all in, and you just decide to bet $ 100, 000
- 7:50on Buckley? Will that change it that dramatically? I think
- 7:54we're talking millions.
- 7:55Speaker 1: According to this, I think it's that they had certain–
- 7:58I think they have certain accounts that they knew– Oh,
- 8:01were shady? Not shady, but, I mean, there might be
- 8:04particular whales or whatever that are certain bettors that always
- 8:07were betting, you know, $ 200, 000 a fight or whatever, and
- 8:10maybe one or two of them changed.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Gross.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Two of the judges scored that fight 30-25.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Abnormal betting patterns from highly monitored accounts.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Interesting. Highly monitored accounts is interesting.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Bro, you better get a new account.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Figure it out.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They're on to you, bitch.
- 8:29Speaker 1: They also said that they called Sean Brady to hear
- 8:31at the bottom. I was going to point out. Someone
- 8:33called him to let him know, and he's like, well,
- 8:35I'm fine.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I love it. He goes, I'm going to beat the
- 8:37shit out of this guy. What are you talking about?
- 8:39And they're like, yeah, you're good to go. I think
- 8:40that's what Alexander Hernandez said, too. That's a bummer. Yeah,
- 8:43it is a bummer. But you can also.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Understand from the UFC standpoint, because when it happened, especially
- 8:49then— They're.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa.
- 8:52Speaker 2: No, they're in a bad spot right now with that
- 8:55because until that gets resolved, look, the fight game has
- 8:59always been connected to fucking shady people.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Always.
- 9:04Speaker 2: That's the Marlon Brando movie on the waterfront. Always. I
- 9:07could have been a contender.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yep.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You know?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That's who he lost to. Oh, that's right. Hoffa Garcia.
- 9:13Very good fight. Very good fight. Hoffa did a phenomenal job.
- 9:17Speaker 3: But I think, too, back to the betting, I think
- 9:19that's also a reason why now more than ever fighters
- 9:22are getting so much hate. Because if you have a
- 9:259 to 5 and you make $ 1, 000 a week and
- 9:28you put $ 500 on, say, Hamzat and he loses that $ 500,
- 9:32that's why it's so toxic now. Because, yeah, your guy's losing,
- 9:36but now it's costing you money. So I think that's
- 9:39why fighters gain so much more hate these days than
- 9:41they did even when I was fighting.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Betting wasn't a big thing. No, I think you're absolutely right.
- 9:44I think it's Rafa Garcia. Is it Rafa or Rafa?
- 9:47Why am I saying it wrong? I feel like it's Rafa.
- 9:49I think so too. I think I want Brazilian on me.
- 9:51I get it. Yeah, you made a real good point
- 9:54about the betting because that's why people are getting so
- 9:56upset because they are betting money on it. It's a
- 9:59big problem. with some people. With some people, the ability
- 10:03to just bet on anything anytime you want. And now
- 10:06it's like a polymarket and all these different things. You
- 10:09could bet on, you know, fucking anything. Anything.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Anything.
- 10:14Speaker 2: How about that fucking soldier that got busted?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Big move. Yeah.
- 10:18Speaker 2: He bet that Maduro was going to get kidnapped.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Dude, if you don't. But my thing is, it's like
- 10:24the Pete Rose thing. At least Pete Rose is betting
- 10:26on his team to win.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:27Speaker 3: This dude was betting on his fucking team to win.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Right. Don't discipline him. If you don't think Trump's.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Giving him a pardon, you're at your goddamn mind.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Well.
- 10:35Speaker 3: That guy's awesome.
- 10:36Speaker 2: That's a weird one. That's a weird one. But I mean,
- 10:40why is that bad? But the insider trading in Congress
- 10:43goes unchecked. Oh, my God. Like that. Bro. That's crazy. Like,
- 10:48if you get mad at that, people, what a hypocrite.
- 10:50You're also dealing with a special forces guy who, it's not.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Like they're compensated that great. And he was like, oh,
- 10:57I'm going to bet the house that we fucking get
- 10:58this idiot.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Right. And by the way, he's betting on himself because
- 11:02it didn't have to happen. That's what I'm saying. It
- 11:03didn't have to work. They could have all got killed.
- 11:05It's like Pete Rose, too.
- 11:06Speaker 3: It's like, keep him in the Hall of Fame.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I think they're going to let him in now that
- 11:08he died. Oh, great.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah, cool.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That helps. Thank you.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But it's also like, he never bet.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Against his team. It's pretty gangster. I don't know if
- 11:16that's true.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Jamie, look that shit up.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I read something online that he might have been against
- 11:23his team at least on one game. I don't know
- 11:27if that's true, though. I'm rooting for Pete Rose. But
- 11:29I just read something. I mean, there might have been
- 11:31a Pete Rose hater.
- 11:32Speaker 3: That's what I thought. That's what I heard.
- 11:34Speaker 2: If he only bet for his team, I feel like
- 11:36that should be legal. That's what I'm saying. That's like
- 11:38the special forces guy. What, are you trying to win harder?
- 11:40You're trying to win harder because you want money?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 2: That would be good.
- 11:44Speaker 3: The Special Forces guy, like, dude, you're really into this.
- 11:46Fuck yeah, dude.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I got a million.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Bucks right on this.
- 11:49Speaker 2: No confirmed evidence has ever been produced that Pete Rose
- 11:51bet against his own team. There you go. The Cincinnati Reds,
- 11:54though there's some speculation. All official speculation. I must have
- 11:59read speculation. I mean, what the fuck? You say a
- 12:05person who believes Pete Rose probably bet against the Reds
- 12:08at some point, John Dowd said. But even he has
- 12:12acknowledged that his investigation did not produce conclusive proof of
- 12:16such bets. So I feel like you should be able
- 12:19to bet on yourself as a fighter. I feel like
- 12:21you should be able to bet on yourself as a
- 12:23baseball player. Why not? Why not? You're just betting to win. Now,
- 12:27betting to lose. Different story. Different story. So if you're
- 12:31just saying– is that because you can't tell them how
- 12:34to bet? Like, if you're going to let them bet,
- 12:37they have to be able to bet on whatever they want. Like, man,
- 12:38I don't know if I'm going to win this fight. Man,
- 12:41I'm not feeling great. I'm going to try, but I
- 12:44think I might lose. So let me just see if
- 12:46I can make a little extra money just in case
- 12:47I lose. Say, well, I tried my hardest. I lost,
- 12:50but still made some money. Made some money.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good.
- 12:53Speaker 1: That's good.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It just opens a can of worms you don't want
- 12:55to deal with.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Nobody's bet. Right.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Because then what if you won? You're like, I won. Yeah,
- 12:59but I lost money because I fucking bet against myself
- 13:01like an idiot.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Right?
- 13:03Speaker 2: You made no money this fight. You'd have to be
- 13:07a fucking psycho to try to win knowing it's going
- 13:11to cost you money. Like your whole camp, paying your
- 13:14fucking trainers, your manager, everything.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Fucking nightmares. What's like the Hamzat-Strickland fight? You and I,
- 13:20right when that fight got announced, we texted each other
- 13:22and I went, good fight. Good fight.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I know everyone's going to, you know, Hamzat's a big favorite,
- 13:27but we both went, I don't know, man. I can
- 13:29see it. I was nut riding for Strickland the whole time.
- 13:32I was like, that guy is the fucking captain of
- 13:35the deep water. He knows how to go into deep water, man.
- 13:38And he knows how to survive. He can survive. And
- 13:41the thing about Hamzat is if he takes you down,
- 13:44he wants to hold you down and just beat on
- 13:46you and not expand a lot of energy like he
- 13:49did with Drekus. That's an issue. You can't do that
- 13:51with Sean. Sean is not going to sit still. He's
- 13:53very hard to hold down. He's got super underrated grappling,
- 13:57super underrated. You know, we saw he almost threw Hamzat
- 14:00like later in the fight, you know, and he did
- 14:03wind up on top multiple times. Like it's… He ain't
- 14:07easy for anybody. Far from it. And he had a
- 14:10blown out shoulder.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Boom.
- 14:12Speaker 2: That's the other thing.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Everyone's like, well, Hamzat was compromised because the weight cut.
- 14:16It's like, well, hold on.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Sean had one arm.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Sean had one fucking arm. And when he did throw
- 14:20that right hand in that second round, he wobbled Hamzat.
- 14:23No one wants to talk about that. The most significant
- 14:25punch was in the second round. Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 2: He flash knocks out Hamza.
- 14:27Speaker 3: And Hamza's like, oh, shit.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And he probably fucking jolted his shoulder with pain. And
- 14:31still defended. I noticed he was doing this at the
- 14:33beginning of the fight. Before the fight started, he was
- 14:37doing this with his arm. So he's warming up. He's
- 14:39doing this. And he keeps doing this. But he kept
- 14:40doing this with his right arm. I'm like, ooh, that's
- 14:42what I do if my shoulders hurt.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Boom.
- 14:44Speaker 2: To see how hurt it is.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:46Speaker 2: How does it feel? Feel the range. Yeah. How does
- 14:48it feel? And he was only going to here. He
- 14:50was only going to here. He kept doing it. Deadpan
- 14:53killer look on his face.
- 14:54Speaker 3: That motherfucker still won.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Still won. Here's my thing about it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Still fought. A lot of guys would have pulled out.
- 15:00A lot of guys would have said, I can't use
- 15:02my arm. I'm pulling out.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Especially for that magnitude of a fight. I think with Strickland, too,
- 15:07now that he won, people are like, oh, is he
- 15:08a Hall of Famer?
- 15:09Speaker 2: 1,000%. 100%.
- 15:09Speaker 3: 100% he's a Hall of Famer. My thing with Strickland, too,
- 15:13it's like he's going to be a bigger star now
- 15:16more than ever. I think that fight is the one
- 15:17that put him even bigger. Yeah. The thing about Strickland
- 15:21is he's the guy that's not.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Supposed to be here.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Like everyone, when we talk about, you know, Chechnyans or
- 15:27Dagestanians or wherever these war-torn countries are from, and they're like,
- 15:31this is the only way they made it out. Dude,
- 15:33Strickland grew up a poor white kid in America.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Disenfranchised.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Dude had an abusive father. The odds are so against Strickland.
- 15:43So against Strickland. And this motherfucker beat arguably the best
- 15:48striker in the weight division of all time. beat him
- 15:51at striking at fucking striking in Australia and then they
- 15:55give him arguably the best grappler of all time in
- 15:58the middleweight division and he beats him so he all
- 16:02of you listening all you guys are closer to Sean
- 16:05Strickland than you are to LeBron James or Patrick Mahomes
- 16:08he's just a tough white kid who trains his ass
- 16:12off he's a blue collar guy he doesn't run a
- 16:1440 in a 4-4 he doesn't have a 40 inch vertical.
- 16:16Speaker 2: He's got one bad leg From a motorcycle accident. It
- 16:21almost ruined his whole career.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I get chills talking about it. Dude, he's that blue-collar
- 16:26guy through hard fucking work, is a Hall of Famer,
- 16:30bona fide Hall of Famer, and beat two of the
- 16:32greatest middleweights of all time. In all his fights, he's
- 16:36an underdog.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Fluffy, underdog.
- 16:38Speaker 3: DDP, underdog. Granted, he lost, but I thought he won
- 16:40that first fight. Hamza, massive underdog. Izzy, massive underdog.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Second fight with DDP, he fucked his shoulder up, too.
- 16:47Driving a dirt bike like a fucking psychopath. Crazy. Crashed
- 16:50his dirt bike, fucked his shoulder up, and they told
- 16:53him he had a fight. So he had to take
- 16:55the fight. So he had to take the fight with
- 16:56a fucked up shoulder. And one of the things you
- 16:58notice about when he's throwing right hands, in particular in
- 17:02this fight, I noticed they were awkward sometimes. Sometimes they
- 17:06just looked weird. Like he was trying not to use
- 17:09his shoulder or something. He was compromised. Yes, 100%. And
- 17:12I saw some of that in the second DDP fight.
- 17:17You know, where it looked like he was kind of
- 17:19throwing his punches weird, you know, which sometimes he does
- 17:22anyway because he goes around the guard. It's awkward. It's strategic. Yeah.
- 17:26He's throwing shit that you're not going to block correctly
- 17:29and then he's going to land you clean shots. But
- 17:31when you see him when there's nothing wrong with him,
- 17:33like he had this giant break. cause he punched somebody
- 17:37and some fucking low level promotion. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:45So they gave him like a eight month suspension, something
- 17:50like that. Six months suspension, whatever it was. Um, So
- 17:53you see him against Hernandez where he's perfect and he
- 17:56looks fucking phenomenal. Best I've ever seen. His striking looked phenomenal.
- 18:01Everything looked phenomenal. And I'm like, oh God, he looks
- 18:03like a better version of the guy who beat Izzy.
- 18:06He looked better. Best we've ever seen. And then he
- 18:08beats Hamza with one shoulder. This episode is brought to
- 18:11you by Ketone IQ. I don't care who you are.

- 19:03They're so confident in it, they'll even offer a 60-day
- 19:06money-back guarantee. Go ahead and take your shot. And so
- 19:11if you count them out based on that fight where
- 19:13you– I thought Hamzat won. A lot of people did. Look,
- 19:16it's– a lot of people that know fighting thought Hamzat won.
- 19:19There's a lot– I think it's split among journalists. I
- 19:22think I was reading something.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I don't really read anything, by the way.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I really read the headlines and then I move on.
- 19:28You have to be careful with journalists.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I'll listen to former fighters or people that have been
- 19:34around the game a long, long time.
- 19:37Speaker 2: If you have Hamzat winning, yeah, okay.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Nobody was robbed. I can give you a pretty good
- 19:42argument why Strickland won that fight.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yes. I can give you a damn good argument. I
- 19:45think he won the fight. I was talking to him
- 19:47inside the Octagon before the fight. I said, what do
- 19:49you think? And I said, it was really close. It
- 19:51was really close. Because you really never know with judging.
- 19:54We've both seen fights where we were sure that one
- 19:57guy won and the other guy gets it from the judge.
- 19:59So you don't know. In my opinion, I would have
- 20:03to go over it and watch it again because when
- 20:06I call fights, I'm just calling them. It's tough. I'm
- 20:09not really scoring them. Super tough. It's weird because what
- 20:12you're trying to do is make— some entertainment out of
- 20:17moments and put some weight to it and express maybe
- 20:20to people that don't know exactly what's going on.
- 20:22Speaker 3: You're also listening to your other partners in the booth.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Well, DC's great at that. DC's the best at explaining
- 20:29shit to people that don't know what's going on when
- 20:31it comes to like wrestling in particular because he's such a,
- 20:33Elite wrestler. And there was a lot of wrestling moments
- 20:36in that. So like that's what you're doing. So you're
- 20:38not really judging the fight. If you're judging, you'd be silent.
- 20:42Like Eddie Bravo used to judge fights unofficially for the
- 20:45UFC in the early days. And what Eddie would do
- 20:47is he would write– he would have a piece of
- 20:49paper and draw a line down the middle for each guy.
- 20:51And then he would have categories. Strikes landed, kicks landed,
- 20:54punches landed, takedowns, submission attempts. He would mark all these
- 20:59different things. Like, every time something would happen, he would
- 21:01mark it down. And then he would also go by
- 21:04who landed the most damage. And he was really good
- 21:06at it. Like, he was very accurate in terms of, like,
- 21:09I never disagreed with him. I was like, that makes sense.
- 21:11Speaker 3: But if your intention is to score the fight, like,
- 21:13you don't have to be entertaining and do the commentating,
- 21:15I can do that. It's like I do commentate for
- 21:18a game bread, and there's a fight, fight of the night.
- 21:21And Jimmy Smith is going, who do you think won?
- 21:23I said, dude, this isn't the time to ask because
- 21:26I was entertained by the fight. We're doing our thing.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Right, right, right. I'll go home and watch it.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I'll let you know exactly who won.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Right. It's such a close fight. I don't know, dude.
- 21:34Especially wars. Especially a crazy war. It's so hard to
- 21:38figure out who won. Some wars, like, let's, you know,
- 21:42think of, like, what if Tyra and Joshua Vann had
- 21:47made it to the end?
- 21:48Speaker 3: That's a tough one.
- 21:49Speaker 2: That's a tough one. I mean, Joshua Vann definitely did
- 21:51more damage, 100%. Which is the number one thing they—
- 21:54are supposed to judge it up so I would judge
- 21:57that in favor we had a conversation about the Gomez
- 22:01fight who was Gomez fighting Pat Sabatini so Pat Sabatini
- 22:10was fighting Gomez and all Pat Sabatini did was clinch
- 22:13him and try to take him down took him down
- 22:14a couple times but when they were standing up Gomez,
- 22:17Pat landed a few strikes definitely, it wasn't like he
- 22:19was completely outclassed on the feet but Gomez landed more
- 22:22So I'm like, OK, I know Pat spent the majority
- 22:25of the fight in control, the majority of the fight clinching,
- 22:28the majority of the fight working towards the takedown. But
- 22:31it was unsuccessful for the most part. Gomez bounced back
- 22:34up to his feet every time, never took any damage
- 22:37on the ground, never got close to being submitted. And
- 22:39then when they stood up, Gomez was the one who
- 22:41was going after him landing strikes. I don't know if
- 22:45it was enough to win though, because it's like, there
- 22:47wasn't a lot of damage. It wasn't like he hit
- 22:49Pat and Pat got rocked and Pat went down and
- 22:51there was none of that. But Gomez was doing better
- 22:54in the standup, which when it comes to damage, that
- 22:57was the only damage of the fight.
- 22:59Speaker 3: But the other thing you got to take into consideration,
- 23:01it's like, I love DC, he's one of my favorites,
- 23:04but DC has an extensive wrestling background. So he's usually
- 23:08going to, not that he means to, but because he
- 23:11has such an extensive wrestling background, If you listen to
- 23:14Kamaru Usman, Henry Cejudo, most of them will score that
- 23:17fight for Hamza because of the wrestling involved. But if
- 23:20you talk to someone else who doesn't have a wrestling
- 23:23background or it's more of a striking background, most of
- 23:25them score it for Strickland. So you always got to–
- 23:27I take it with a little bit of grain of
- 23:28salt when those guys– heavy wrestlers, if there's wrestling but
- 23:32they weren't successful, like takedowns were successful, they're like, that's
- 23:34a takedown. But he didn't do shit with it though, man.
- 23:36Speaker 2: There's also the Strickland factor. There's a lot of people
- 23:41that he rubs the wrong way.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Boom.
- 23:43Speaker 2: And they don't want him to win because of the
- 23:45wild shit that he says offstage. Listen, sometimes he goes
- 23:50too far. He said he went too far. He apologized
- 23:52for going too far. But God damn, did he sell
- 23:54some tickets?
- 23:55Speaker 3: I like what you said. You said, don't apologize. You're
- 23:57selling a fight.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Yeah. That's my thing, too.
- 23:59Speaker 3: It's like, whoa, no, no, don't apologize. Don't apologize for
- 24:02any of that. Because on Monday, I was so excited
- 24:06to get in the studio. I was so excited. I
- 24:08felt like for the first time in a long time,
- 24:11the UFC's back. I felt back, man.
- 24:15Speaker 2: You really think the UFC has gone away?
- 24:17Speaker 1: No, no.
- 24:17Speaker 2: No, I'm not saying that. What do you mean by that?
- 24:18Speaker 3: Don't get to it. I'm saying as far as like
- 24:21Conor Khabib, like bad blood.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Big time. Couldn't wait.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Like I, dude, I was tech, day before I'm tech, dude,
- 24:28I can't fucking wait. It was like I was so
- 24:32hyped for this fucking fight, dude.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:34Speaker 3: It just felt like, you know, those Conor Day, Khabib days,
- 24:37those are over. But this one, the magnitude of it,
- 24:40and I usually can tell when a fight's going to
- 24:42be really big. Cause I'm always at baseball fields and
- 24:44football fields and dads will come like, dude, did you
- 24:46think Strickland has a chance? I'm like, you watch fighting?
- 24:49Speaker 2: I'm like, Oh shit.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I was like, this can be huge, dude. This can
- 24:53be fucking big, dude.
- 24:55Speaker 2: It was huge. And it was huge because of the
- 24:57way Sean sold it. A hundred percent. Not just that
- 25:00Sean has a ton of fans for sure, you know,
- 25:04but it was the way he sold it. The chaos.
- 25:06People love it. They love that. And especially casuals. They
- 25:09love the chaos. I love it too. It's fun. He
- 25:13makes things fun. Makes things fun.
- 25:15Speaker 3: And then people get so mad, you know, some stuff
- 25:17he says. But it's like there's a lane for that.
- 25:20I hate to tell you there's a lane for that.
- 25:22And I think Strickland, you've been around Strickland. He's a
- 25:26good person. Yes, he has some crazy thoughts and stuff
- 25:30like that, which is fine. But remember, too, people go,
- 25:33UFC doesn't have stars. And then you get a kid
- 25:35like Strickland, who's built his name to be the most
- 25:38watched fight, one of the third most watched weigh-ins of
- 25:40all time. So he's trying to be a star. So
- 25:43you guys are complaining there's no stars. And then when
- 25:45he's doing the damn thing, you guys are hating on him.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So it's like pick your poison. Well, they're hating by
- 25:51the way he's doing it, right, that he's making things
- 25:54super personal. But this is what Connor did. I mean,
- 25:59that's what Conor did with Khabib. Conor crossed the line
- 26:01many times with Khabib. Oh, buddy. The line's here.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Conor was all the way over here.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And there was no apologizing after that. I mean, that
- 26:07was the brawl afterwards where Khabib jumped in the crowd
- 26:10and fucked up Dilly Dan.
- 26:13Speaker 3: That's my favorite picture of all time. I need it
- 26:14framed in my fucking suit. When Khabib's literally flying off
- 26:17the fucking cage about to fucking– But remember, before that fight,
- 26:22in the fight, Khabib was all professional.
- 26:25Speaker 2: He was all good.
- 26:26Speaker 3: As soon as that motherfucker ended, he was like, now
- 26:29it's time to get to work.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, dude. That is a crazy photo. World champion, just
- 26:35got done stopping Conor McGregor. And he's leaping into the
- 26:39fucking crowd just like his nickname. And super humble. He's
- 26:42the eagle. Yeah, the eagle. His talons are fucking out
- 26:45for his face. I mean, you couldn't come up with
- 26:48a better nickname for that dude. You know how Dan
- 26:51Henderson has that flying punch that he landed on Bisping
- 26:54when Bisping was down? That's like his logo. That should
- 26:56be Khabib's logo. 100%.
- 26:59Speaker 3: With, like, wings on it, like a flying eagle.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Fucking animal. Dude, that was mayhem. God, I love that guy.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I love him.
- 27:06Speaker 2: You know, we appreciated him while he was here, but
- 27:08maybe not enough.
- 27:09Speaker 3: But with Hamzat, too, I also think a couple of
- 27:14factors that went against him on Saturday night. He's been
- 27:18in big fights, but he hasn't been in this.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Big of a fight.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Defending the middleweight title, you have this— Wild boy talking
- 27:26so much shit. So I just– I don't think he's
- 27:29dealt with that kind of pressure at that level. And
- 27:32then also Hamzat's always kind of had a cardio issue
- 27:37because remember when I went to his camp, I called you.
- 27:40I'm like, bro, I've never seen someone so fucking– I'm
- 27:43talking vicious, fucking everybody up, destroying them.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god.
- 27:49Speaker 3: So there's an issue with him and I don't know
- 27:51what it is where that's not– translating inside the octagon.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Well I can tell you right now first of all
- 27:58first part of the issue is the weight cut yes
- 28:02and no 100% dude he cut 22 kilos listen to
- 28:05me he got 40 something pounds they were making it
- 28:08so that he was going to fight Yuri Prokofiev at
- 28:10205 right so he starts bulking up and he's eating
- 28:13like a fucking animal and he's dead lifting and doing
- 28:15all kinds of crazy shit he said he was 230
- 28:17I think he was above that yeah yeah he was
- 28:19somewhere north of 230 and so then he's 230 whatever
- 28:23And so then he's got to drop down to 85,
- 28:25which is bananas. That's so hard to do. He never
- 28:28got fat. So what happens? Well, your muscle gets eaten away.
- 28:33Your body deteriorates. You can't recover. And he had a
- 28:37bad breakdown in the middle of the weight cut. I
- 28:40heard it was horrible.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Did you hear his brother today was like, yes, we
- 28:42thought his body was going to shut down.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah. So they took an hour off weight cutting and
- 28:46then they went back. And he only had like 1.2
- 28:48kilos to lose at that point, which is what is that?
- 28:52Was that like five pounds? No, I mean two pounds.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Two and a half pounds, right? Two and a half.
- 28:57Speaker 2: What is it? It's 2.2. Okay, so somewhere around. He
- 29:01was 230. That's a lot, though. If you're already dying,
- 29:04you got to lose two pounds of water. Oh, it's
- 29:06a nightmare. 260-ounce bottles of water.
- 29:08Speaker 3: But when he was, let's say, 230 or maybe 235,
- 29:11how many weeks out was that?
- 29:12Speaker 2: Do we know? I don't know.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Because when Strickland beat Fluffy, they were like, hey, forget
- 29:17this Yuri fight. You're fighting at 85. It's a few months.
- 29:22Speaker 2: It's a few months, but when you have muscle and
- 29:25not fat, it is a problem. It's a real problem.
- 29:29It's not the same problem. So if you get big
- 29:32like Strickland gets in between fights, like Strickland, there's a
- 29:35lot of videos of him training where he's got almost
- 29:37like a belly. yeah he's heavy and he makes fun
- 29:39of himself he's fat that's a different fat that's different
- 29:42to lose you can lose that you can lose that
- 29:44that's not a problem to lose when you're bulked up
- 29:48your body has decided that now you're 230 pounds and
- 29:51you're still working out all the time so your body's
- 29:53using those muscles all the time so if you want
- 29:56those muscles to shrink they literally have to eat themselves
- 29:58yeah So you have to fucking starve yourself. Or you
- 30:03do a radical dehydration, which brings you to the brink
- 30:06of death. And it seems like that's what he did.
- 30:09Probably a factor. Giant factor, dude.
- 30:13Speaker 3: It's a factor for sure. There's also a factor. But
- 30:15it's not like in the DDP fight, in these other fights,
- 30:18it's not like he's going in there tenacious, finishing guys.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Well, the DDP fight was just him in control. It
- 30:27was just him grappling, him in control. But no attempt
- 30:30to finish. That's my issue with him. True. He just
- 30:32wanted to secure the win. I think it's here. It
- 30:35could be. It could be. And that also plays a
- 30:38factor when you're dealing with a guy like Sean who's
- 30:39so durable and has such great cardio and can take
- 30:42the fight into deep, deep waters and always does.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 2: He always— He's always going after you in the final round.
- 30:48The final round with Izzy, when he's got his hands down,
- 30:51he's screaming at Izzy, come on. He gets better as
- 30:54the fight goes on. Yeah, and Izzy had noticeably faded
- 30:57by that final round. Part of that because of the
- 31:00beating that he took in the first. Correct. He got
- 31:03super close to stop, probably concussed in the first. I mean,
- 31:07that fucking straight punch that he landed where he spun
- 31:10Izzy's head around and then hit him with how many
- 31:12fucking left hands in a row?
- 31:14Speaker 3: Yep.
- 31:14Speaker 2: 15, 20 left hands in a row. I mean, let's
- 31:18count them. Let's watch that and count them because it's crazy.
- 31:21He just bang, bang, bang, bang. If you think you're
- 31:24going to go and just fight normal after that, you're concussed.
- 31:28You're compromised. Probably you have a concussion. Yes. Just by
- 31:32the way he went down, his head spun around. It
- 31:35was a right hand, right? Wasn't it a right hand?
- 31:37It was a right hand, yeah. Picture perfect right hand.
- 31:40Picture perfect straight right. I mean, it was picture perfect.
- 31:44And you don't get a cleaner, better right hand and
- 31:48then blast him with all those punches in the clinch.
- 31:51You're gone after that. You're a shell of yourself.
- 31:54Speaker 3: You're gone. I think my thing with Hamza, too, is after, again,
- 31:57you could chalk it up to the weight cut. That
- 32:00second round when he doesn't land that takedown and falls
- 32:02to his back, I'm like.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Oh, he's cooked. Dude, I think his body was shutting
- 32:07down and he realized that he went real hard in
- 32:08the first round but doesn't have the gas tank. He said,
- 32:10let me coast. I can survive on the bottom here,
- 32:13but I need to catch my breath if I'm going
- 32:14to try to finish this guy. It might have been
- 32:16a strategy.
- 32:17Speaker 3: And he got better that third, fourth, fifth round.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Right, because the strategy might have been, listen, if I'm
- 32:21on my back, no big deal. Like he tries for
- 32:23a takedown, can't get it. He realized like, oh, Jesus.
- 32:26I'm not going to be able to fight standing up
- 32:27like this for five minutes after that first round because
- 32:31his body almost shut down 24 hours ago. 24 hours ago,
- 32:34it is the dumbest fucking thing we do in the
- 32:37sport where we allow these people to pretend that they
- 32:41weigh a certain way. You pretend. Oh, it's a 185-pound fight.
- 32:47The fuck it is. Neither one of those guys.
- 32:50Speaker 1: 100%.
- 32:50Speaker 3: And Strickland is actually a bigger guy than him.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Strickland's a big boy. Strickland, that night in the cage,
- 32:56is a bigger dude. Well, he definitely looked healthier, right?
- 33:00And I think part of that, you could attribute to
- 33:01the fact that Hamzat is killing himself.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Well, what did Hamzat say to Dana as soon as
- 33:05he jumped out of the cage? He goes, I'm done
- 33:06fighting him.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I'm going to 205. But apparently now, all he's talking
- 33:09about is a rematch. It's back on.
- 33:11Speaker 3: It's back on.
- 33:13Speaker 2: So what he's got to do is he has got
- 33:17to limit his calorie intake, and he's got to literally
- 33:21burn the muscle off. He can't just keep dehydrating himself
- 33:25like that. So you would have to talk to someone
- 33:27who's an expert at that. But my friend Cam Haynes,
- 33:30when he runs these ultra marathons, what he does is
- 33:34he gets himself down like 160 pounds. And the way
- 33:37he does it is he just limits his fucking calories
- 33:40and keeps working out the exact same way. And he
- 33:42looks terrible when he does that. He looks so tired
- 33:45all the time. But it's just sheer willpower gets him
- 33:48down to that weight. But that is slow running for days.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Correct.
- 33:54Speaker 2: That's a different thing.
- 33:55Speaker 3: We can't do that.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Right. What he's doing is exploding and moving quickly. And
- 34:00my personal opinion is you have to be biologically healthy
- 34:05to do that. You have to be a healthy person.
- 34:10You can't just be big. Right. And you're not healthy
- 34:13if you almost died a day ago. Correct. Because that's
- 34:16really what's going on. And we think these guys can recover.
- 34:20But how much do they recover? Well, they fucking for
- 34:22sure don't recover a hundred percent. Not a hundo. Not
- 34:25a hundred percent.
- 34:26Speaker 3: That's why I'm excited for him at 205. Like a
- 34:27lot of people are like, oh, I don't like them.
- 34:29Like if it's, if the weight is an issue at 205,
- 34:33if he's a hundred percent, I know he might be
- 34:35a little undersized, but. 100% Hamzat could be a lot
- 34:38better than a 70%.
- 34:40Speaker 2: That's great. Strickland ain't going to do it. He's going
- 34:42to say, you didn't fucking make the weight the first time. Oh, 100%.
- 34:45He's going to talk mad shit.
- 34:47Speaker 3: It'll be fun.
- 34:48Speaker 2: He's a fucking coward. I beat him with one arm.
- 34:50It's going to get crazy. You got to fight him
- 34:53at middleweight. But he's got to go to some expert
- 34:56in losing weight.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I'm not saying Strickland Hamzat 205.
- 34:58Speaker 2: No, no. Oh, that's what I thought you were saying.
- 35:01Speaker 1: No, no.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Strickland's going to stay at fucking 85 and dominate.
- 35:03Speaker 1: No.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Hamzat.
- 35:05Speaker 2: He's going to do that rematch, and then that's it.
- 35:08He's a 205-er.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Or to your point, he has to maintain a weight
- 35:13that's realistic when he can still perform.
- 35:15Speaker 2: But he has to figure that out. He's got to
- 35:17stop lifting weights, right? So whatever he was doing that
- 35:20got him up to 230 pounds or whatever he was,
- 35:24we're guessing, right? That's what I had heard, that he
- 35:25was north of 230. Whatever he was doing, he's got
- 35:29to not do that, and he's got to do mad cardio,
- 35:32just cardio. Like working out, like wrestling, hitting a bag,
- 35:36hitting pads, and cardio.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I'm a big proponent of do your sport. Get your
- 35:44cardio from your sport. Like I see it across the board.
- 35:47Like I get a.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Little hesitant when I saw all these.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Videos of Hamzat, you know, hitting the– The tire with
- 35:54the hammer and doing all these runs.
- 35:56Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, but.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I'd rather you get your cardio from actually wrestling against
- 36:00top level guys and fucking get after it, dude. Because
- 36:04what's Strickland do? Do you see Strickland doing all this
- 36:06heart rate monitor?
- 36:07Speaker 2: No.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Why is his cardio so good? Because he fucking spars
- 36:10like a madman all the time. So the Strickland you
- 36:13see in that training camp is the exact same motherfucker
- 36:16you see in the octagon. There's no issues. Meanwhile, you
- 36:19got these guys, you know, run their hill sprints. I'd
- 36:21rather you get your cardio in your actual sport. I
- 36:25see it at the lower level, too, with kids. I
- 36:28coach football, baseball. These dads are like, I don't get it, man.
- 36:31I'm doing the foot ladder drill with my son five
- 36:33days a week. Can't catch football. I'm like, because we're
- 36:37not trying to see who has the best foot ladder. fucking,
- 36:39who can do it the fastest. We're catching footballs, dude.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Catch footballs if you.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Want to get better at football.
- 36:45Speaker 2: 100%. But do you think that some of that stuff
- 36:47has a purpose? Yes, but not close to the fight. Interesting.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Because usually what we would do is, like, let's say
- 36:55you have an eight-week camp. Before the camp starts, we're
- 36:57doing a lot of that stuff. And then once we
- 36:59get to camp, the focus was the cardio was getting
- 37:02it in in your training.
- 37:05Speaker 2: You know who agrees with you? Aljamain Sterling. Aljamain talked
- 37:07about this. He's pretty good.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Good.
- 37:11Speaker 2: How good did he look against Alal?
- 37:13Speaker 3: Dude.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Best back control in the game.
- 37:16Speaker 3: And I don't, why is he so underrated?
- 37:18Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Why he doesn't get his due?
- 37:20Speaker 2: It's the loss to Piotr Jan.
- 37:21Speaker 3: It's fucking crazy.
- 37:22Speaker 2: He's so good. It's the win, the victory where he
- 37:25had an injury from an illegal shot. People hated on
- 37:27him from then on out. Think how good he did
- 37:30against Evilove. I know. He's amazing.
- 37:32Speaker 3: That was a fucking split decision. Some people thought he won.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, he could have easily won that fight. That
- 37:36motherfucker's so good. Yeah, Aljamain's the man. Yes. But he
- 37:40said that Marab does the same thing. Now, who the
- 37:43fuck has better cardio than Marab? I would say nobody.
- 37:46Nobody alive.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Ever in any sport I've ever seen. Maybe that guy
- 37:49that broke the fucking whatever's four-minute mile or something, but...
- 37:52As far as what?
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but he ain't getting taken down.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 37:55Speaker 2: He's not getting punched in the face.
- 37:56Speaker 3: People should just go to Rob's camp and be like,
- 37:59what are you doing?
- 37:59Speaker 2: He's like, I'm wrestling.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I'm fucking wrestling.
- 38:01Speaker 2: He does run. He does run and he does lift
- 38:03some weights every now and then. But he doesn't do
- 38:05any of that crazy garage stuff. And one of the
- 38:08guys that spoke out against the garage stuff was Cub Swanson.
- 38:12I shouldn't say spoke out against it. But what he
- 38:14did say was that when he did that, because he
- 38:17did some of the training lab stuff, he said he
- 38:19was too broken down. He said he was overtrained and
- 38:22he said he was just too tired when he was
- 38:24going into like fight camp. It's tough to recover. You're
- 38:27doing all the other stuff too. You're still boxing. You're
- 38:30still kickboxing. I have to. You're still wrestling. And he
- 38:33said he did badly in those fights, which is interesting because,
- 38:37you know, the Marv Marinovich approach was very different with
- 38:41BJ Penn. And that was the best BJ Penn ever.
- 38:44The best BJ Penn ever. But they literally did no
- 38:47fight training. What they did is all plyometrics and it's
- 38:51different from the stuff the training lab stuff is doing
- 38:53because the training lab stuff, he's doing bicycle work and
- 38:56all this stuff because that's what Sam Calavita came from. Correct.
- 39:00Came from a cycling background. What Marv was having him
- 39:03do was all plyometric stuff and just build this fucking
- 39:06insane machine. He's like, BJ, you already know how to fight. Fact.
- 39:11You're not going to get better at fighting in eight weeks, right? Fact.
- 39:14But what we can do is give you an unstoppable
- 39:18gas tank. And one of the things that always fucked
- 39:21BJ up earlier in his career is that he wasn't–
- 39:23when he was training himself or when he had– it
- 39:25wasn't– Kim and his brother. Yeah, it wasn't the most disciplined.
- 39:28Different days, yeah. He was phenomenally talented and– Freak. Freak.
- 39:33And one of the things– won the world, the Mundials
- 39:35at three years in to jiu-jitsu as a black belt.
- 39:39Like nobody does that. That's why he's almost a bad example.
- 39:41You know what I'm saying?
- 39:42Speaker 3: It's like, yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Right. But what he– the problem with really talented people,
- 39:46and I'm sure you'd probably agree with me, they tend
- 39:48to not work as hard. Yeah. Right. Like Sean, although
- 39:52he's a world champion, he's not a guy where you
- 39:55see like, oh, my God, he is so talented. Like
- 39:57what he does is like no one can move that way.
- 40:00No one can do what he does. Like, you know,
- 40:02there's certain guys that are like that.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Sean's stuff is hard work.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Hard work. So the guys that are super talented, it
- 40:08comes a little easier for them. And sometimes they have
- 40:11a harder time with the hard work because they're not
- 40:13used to getting beat up. They're not used to getting pressed.
- 40:16So when they have to do this drill where you're
- 40:19rotating in new sparring partners and you're exhausted, and when
- 40:23you're doing that, hell, they don't like that. No. So
- 40:27some guys avoid that shit. They just want to be
- 40:29tuning guys up.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Spot on. Yeah.
- 40:31Speaker 2: And so those guys, when they're fighting a George St.
- 40:34Pierre or someone of a commensurate skill level, they might fade.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Yep.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Because that guy got there and threw a different path.
- 40:42I mean, George... Although he's a phenomenal athlete, one of
- 40:46the best wrestlers in MMA ever and didn't even come
- 40:49from a wrestling background. I mean, George is one of
- 40:52the all-time greats. There's not like one thing that George
- 40:57would do that would make you think like that guy
- 40:59is a freak athlete. There's never been anybody like him
- 41:01like that.
- 41:01Speaker 3: No, far from it. To your point, far from it
- 41:03because I trained with George forever. And when we did–
- 41:05they would have us do some stuff like I did
- 41:07in the NFL like sprints and vertical and the agility drills.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Like nothing– Nothing crazy. No. But BJ was crazy. BJ's crazy.
- 41:16BJ could do stuff where you're like, how the fuck
- 41:19can you do that? BJ could jump out of a
- 41:21pool and land easy. BJ has insane flexibility. The way
- 41:29he moves his legs. His balance is nuts. There's a
- 41:31video of someone trying to take him down. And they
- 41:34have a single. And they are driving across the cage.
- 41:38And he's on one leg. And he's on one leg
- 41:39hopping with. Zero fear of being taken down. But to
- 41:43your point, BJ's that talented. John's another one. Yep.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Where it's like.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Right, right. Exact, exact. Perfect comparison. They're so fucking talented.
- 41:51So fucking talented. And then the difference being John always
- 41:56figured out a way to win, and John... If he
- 42:00had a bad camp for one fight, he would come
- 42:02back in the next fight and really fucking put it
- 42:05to somebody.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Right?
- 42:06Speaker 2: Like the Gustafson fight. First fight with Gustafson, he doesn't
- 42:09train at all. I talked to Craig Jackson. He's like,
- 42:12he barely showed up. At all. Barely showed up in
- 42:16the gym.
- 42:17Speaker 3: And then has a five round war.
- 42:18Speaker 2: For a world title fight. And pulls it out in
- 42:21the final two rounds. Pulls it out. It's crazy.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Gets taken down for the first time. We see him
- 42:25get taken down by Gustafson. Like, oh my God, Gustafson
- 42:28might be the man. And John pulls it out. So
- 42:30the second fight comes around and John trains hard. And
- 42:34John fucks him up. I mean fucks him up in
- 42:38a way like this is what would have happened if
- 42:40I tried. Yeah. If I prepared the way you prepared,
- 42:44this is what you get. This is how it goes.
- 42:45You get a fucking beating. And this is the dance
- 42:50of like who's the greatest of all time. And that's
- 42:52why the argument in most people's eyes is that John
- 42:55is the greatest of all time because John– He was
- 42:58all those things, super talented, and when push came to
- 43:02shove and he had to get back into work and
- 43:05get the gear. He would do it. He would do it,
- 43:07and he would pull it off against DC. He would
- 43:09pull it off. The Stipe fight was– I think that
- 43:13was not Stipe. That was an old– No, that's when
- 43:16you– like when you talk about his resume, you're like,
- 43:18all right. Stipe is the Stipe that ran through the
- 43:22heavyweight division. The Stipe that knocked out Alistair Overeem, that
- 43:26beat Fabrizio Verdun for the title, beat Francis when Francis
- 43:30was just crushing everybody. And I think that took a
- 43:34lot out of his chin, that Francis fight. I really do. Oh,
- 43:37that changed him forever, I think. Because DC knocks him
- 43:39out right after that. And it wasn't the biggest punch
- 43:43in the world.
- 43:44Speaker 1: No.
- 43:44Speaker 2: It was a big punch. But, I mean, he had
- 43:46taken it. Bombs from Francis.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Yeah, back to John being the greatest of all time.
- 43:50It's like when you look at his resume, it's just like, fuck,
- 43:52it's wild.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Phenomenal. Phenomenal resume. Youngest ever UFC champion. Crazy.
- 43:57Speaker 3: But as far as like— Wasn't Josh Barnett— did Josh Barnett
- 43:59win it earlier? No.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I think John's the youngest. John's the youngest. And Josh
- 44:03Barnett was the youngest heavyweight. And Joshua Vann's second now.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:06Speaker 2: So Josh Barnett won the heavyweight title at, what, 24? Yep.
- 44:09And those boys were— Didn't they strip him for steroids
- 44:13when everyone was doing steroids? That is— It's like when
- 44:17WWE guys get busted. You're like, oh, come on. Like, bitch,
- 44:19you ain't testing everybody.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You just don't like Josh.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It's a way to get him out. I love Josh.
- 44:25Speaker 3: It's a way to get him out. But back to John,
- 44:28it's like you look at his resume. Greatest ever do it.
- 44:30Beat the very best.
- 44:32Speaker 2: In murderer's row. Murderer's row.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Now, you know, it's.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Not even comparable to today's light heavyweight and heavyweight. You
- 44:39don't think so?
- 44:40Speaker 3: No.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Well, listen, when Alex was the light heavyweight champion, it's
- 44:46certainly comparable. Alex as the light heavyweight champion, the Alex
- 44:49that beat Magomedov, the Alex that knocked out Yuri Prohaska,
- 44:53the Alex that starches everybody that fucked up Jamal Hill,
- 44:56like that Alex Pereira and Jon Jones in his prime
- 44:59would have been insane. That would have been insane.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Tough to beat the wrestling of Jon. Like, John's wrestling
- 45:07was on a totally different level.
- 45:08Speaker 3: His reach, his IQ.
- 45:09Speaker 2: His IQ.
- 45:09Speaker 3: The wrestling would be tough, Ralph.
- 45:11Speaker 2: What could he do to Cheryl Gunn?
- 45:12Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 45:12Speaker 2: I mean, he avoided the shots. He read him like
- 45:16a book. Bullied him. Bullied him. Got all of his
- 45:18neck and like, I'll take that.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Dude, if you go back and look at John, my
- 45:23fighting years too, you look at that light heavyweight division,
- 45:26one through fucking 15, good luck. that's especially heavyweight true
- 45:30but good fucking luck but at light heavyweight okay so
- 45:33not a lot of those guys are ranked in top 10.
- 45:35Speaker 2: How do you think yuri how well let's let's think
- 45:38of alex how do you think alex would have done
- 45:40against gustafson very tough fight for him you think so
- 45:44gustafson in his prime yeah you think so yeah and
- 45:48do you think that based on the to share a
- 45:50fight because he pieced up glover remember that fight Yeah. Bro,
- 45:53that was a video game combination. We knocked out.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Alex is one of those guys, similar to DC, that
- 45:58when John just reigned as champ, it's like if Alex
- 46:02was just born at a different time, maybe five years before,
- 46:05five years after, he's our John Jones. He was so
- 46:09fucking talented. Huge.
- 46:12Speaker 2: 6'6, 6'7. Great wrestling.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Great world-class boxing. Good at everything, dude.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Great cardio. Just in the division with the GOAT. Yeah, fucked. Yeah, yeah, fucked.
- 46:19Speaker 3: Fucked. Your mom and dad decided to have sex at
- 46:22the same time John and his parents did, and you're fucked.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Look at what happened with Ilya Teporia. Think about the
- 46:27guys that he's fighting. Think about Max Holloway. Think about
- 46:31Charles Oliveira. Think about Alexander Volkanovsky. And he has blasted
- 46:36all of them into orbit, all three of them. First
- 46:39guy ever to stop Max. It's like if you're in
- 46:43that guy's division— What are you going to do? Especially
- 46:47at 45. I don't know what it's going to be
- 46:48like at 55. Obviously, the Oliveira fight was a one-punch knockout.
- 46:51That was such a bad knockout. Crazy knockout. But when
- 46:54you see him and Justin next to each other, you're like, whoa,
- 46:57Justin is quite a bit bigger.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Justin Big Cat.
- 46:59Speaker 2: He's quite a bit bigger. That's a tough fight. It's
- 47:04a different fight than Oliveira. It's different. But fuck, then
- 47:08you see what Oliveira was able to do to Max.
- 47:11You're like, good Lord. Like, Oliveira's a fucking beast, man.
- 47:14He looked phenomenal. And he couldn't do none of that
- 47:16to Ilya. Yeah, the only thing with all that is, like.
- 47:20Speaker 3: The 55 division, everyone's– no one's in the front. Like
- 47:23Charles is in his prime when Ilya beat him. Justin's
- 47:26definitely not in his prime. Max is in his prime.
- 47:28Speaker 2: They're all good. They're fucking good. But not prime prime. Right.
- 47:32Speaker 3: And the issue is Ilya's just getting to his prime.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Just getting to his prime.
- 47:37Speaker 3: He's surging.
- 47:38Speaker 2: And already one of the greatest of all time. He's
- 47:41a fucking problem.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:42Speaker 2: He's so smart and so disciplined and so like completely
- 47:47focused and dialed in. Great at everything. Great at everything.
- 47:50Graded everything. And the crazy thing is didn't even start
- 47:52as a striker. Crazy. Started as a grappler. Crazy.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Now, his toughest matchup is Armin Sorokin. That's the motherfucking fight.
- 48:00Speaker 2: 100%.
- 48:01Speaker 3: Oh, but that's what I was going to say. With Hamzat,
- 48:04he's not active. I know I'm jumping around a little bit.
- 48:06But with Hamzat, I think one of his issues with
- 48:09whatever's going on inside that hot gun, weight cut 100%. Clearly,
- 48:13there seems to be a mental block when it comes
- 48:15to finishing fights because he's worried about gassing out. But RAF,
- 48:20take a page out of fucking Sarukin's book. Just wrestle
- 48:24all the– Sarukin, I think he's wrestled like eight times
- 48:27this fucking year.
- 48:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Just fucking dudes up, making all the money. He makes
- 48:31six figures every time he fucks somebody up.
- 48:32Speaker 2: But he's active. He's staying active, staying in shape. Competing.
- 48:36Speaker 3: And the UFC is going, yeah, go ahead and do it.
- 48:38So for Hamzat, dude, because he fights once a fucking year,
- 48:41which is not good, dude. So it's like stay active
- 48:44over there. Stay active like Arma Sarukin is doing.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Keep your weight down. Yeah, I don't know if he's
- 48:49interested in doing that. He signed with him. Yeah, but
- 48:52what was the fight that they signed that he was
- 48:54going to wrestle somebody? Who was it? Do you remember?
- 48:57Speaker 3: I think they want to toss him like an Olympian,
- 48:59which is– that's where it gets dicey.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, here's my fear. There was a recent event. There
- 49:04was a very weird event. I don't know who did it,
- 49:07but it was kicks to the leg, punches to the body,
- 49:11and jiu-jitsu. Have you seen that? No, get the fuck
- 49:13out of my face. It was weird. Yeah, so glace
- 49:16and t-bow was fighting uh i apologize i don't remember
- 49:19who was fighting and he takes this guy down and
- 49:22the guy catches you know he's trying to avoid the
- 49:24takedown he catches his knee in a weird way and
- 49:26it blows out so that could happen to fucking anybody.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Wrestling's a little safer though i don't.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Know about that because this was in the wrestling exchange
- 49:35that he took him down Yeah.
- 49:37Speaker 3: But those guys aren't exactly like high-level wrestlers.
- 49:39Speaker 1: True.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Like RAF, it's top-tier shit.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, no doubt.
- 49:43Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 49:44Speaker 2: No doubt. It's so good. But wrestlers blow their knees
- 49:47out all the time. True. It's just a part of
- 49:49the craziness of explosive movement and a guy is coming
- 49:54after you. But it's kind of what you sign up for. 100%.
- 49:56Speaker 3: So for a hot spot, it's like, dude, we can't
- 49:58fight fucking once a year and then you have weight issues.
- 50:00And clearly there seems to be a mental block and
- 50:02you're getting finishes because you're cardio. Let's do RAF. Let's
- 50:06get this rolling. Keeps your weight down. Keeps you active.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Also keeps you in the limelight.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Armin has blown the fuck up, dude.
- 50:13Speaker 2: True. He's a massive star now. True. especially online I
- 50:17don't know how much that translates to the general public
- 50:20it's for dorks like us dorks like us pay your
- 50:23fucking point we are some dorks are riding his nuts
- 50:26he beat Giorgio twice it's such a good point is
- 50:30it Lance Palmer the wrestler that he tech falled which
- 50:33is nuts nuts Uri Faber threw over the fucking thing
- 50:36that was crazy why'd you do that what if you
- 50:38both got hurt what if you hurt Uri he's a
- 50:40bit of a main head well he's a psychopath yeah
- 50:43he's a full on psychopath I mean he's rich Dude,
- 50:46he's so rich. Literally wealthy.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Do you see him on that stream? They go, so
- 50:50if you wanted to buy a car, like $ 500, 000 car,
- 50:52what do you do? He goes, I just call my dad.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yeah. His dad's like a billionaire. He's got tons of money,
- 50:58but he's not lazy at all. He flies in the
- 51:04face of this longstanding belief that we all had that
- 51:08if you come from a rich family, you can't be
- 51:10a great fighter.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Dude, he's Batman.
- 51:11Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if you come from the ghetto. He's
- 51:14going to fuck you up. He does not give a fuck.
- 51:16Some fucking dude is like, I'm from the favelas. Good luck.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Cool, man.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Good luck with that fucking Armenian psychopath.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's pulling up in a Maybach.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah. He pulls into L.A. I watch his YouTube videos.
- 51:29He shows him training and all the different stuff he does.
- 51:32When he lands in L.A., he goes immediately to an
- 51:35exotic rental car place and rents a Lamborghini. And drives
- 51:38it to the training lab.
- 51:40Speaker 3: It's not the way it's supposed to work, but he.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Pulls it off. Bro, good luck with that guy. Good
- 51:45luck with that guy. Go ahead and make fun of
- 51:46him for being rich. Built like a Greek god. Yeah.
- 51:48Can wrestle like a fucking elite top tier wrestler. And
- 51:53he can strike. And he can submit you. Good luck.
- 51:56And he's angry because he's denied a shot at the title.
- 51:59Because he hurt his back when he was getting ready
- 52:01to fight Ilya. Which is the best thing that ever
- 52:03happened to him. You think so? Yeah, because look how
- 52:06much– because.
- 52:07Speaker 3: We were fucking dorks and we knew who he was.
- 52:10But the general– like especially online, no one– his profile
- 52:13is so big now.
- 52:16Speaker 2: I think it's just with dorks.
- 52:18Speaker 3: But those dorks equal sponsorship, money.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Well, here's the deal. There's only one compelling fight. Look
- 52:25at the fucking build on this cat. That is not
- 52:28a guy that grew up with a billionaire dad who
- 52:30could just go buy a fucking Lamborghini with his credit
- 52:33card if he wants to.
- 52:34Speaker 3: He's Bruce Wayne, but his parents are still alive.
- 52:36Speaker 2: It's nuts.
- 52:37Speaker 3: He has no reason to be upset.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you what. Armenians, look at the Shut
- 52:40the fuck up, man. Just shut up. Great body. That's ridiculous.
- 52:44Great body. That makes me want to just quit and
- 52:46eat fucking potatoes all day. Or get you in that
- 52:49fucking kind of shape. I'm kidding. Yeah. Or just get ripped.

- 54:07compelling matchup for Ilya if Ilya gets past Justin. If
- 54:11Justin beats Ilya, it is not only one of the
- 54:14greatest upsets of all time, it is one of the
- 54:16greatest caps to a career of all time. Like if
- 54:19he all through what he's been through wins the interim title,
- 54:23wins the BMF title, if he does that and caps
- 54:26his career off, you go, Fuck yeah, dude. Way to
- 54:29go out.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Brother, if he beats Ilya Teper at UFC Freedom 250
- 54:34in front of Donald Trump, he's the only American that
- 54:36gets the belt. It's bigger. It's beyond just MMA, UFC.
- 54:41Miracle on Ice, fuck off. This is– imagine the headlines, dude. Yes.
- 54:46Speaker 2: And if he beats that guy in his prime who's
- 54:50knocking everyone into the shadow realm, says to Charles Oliveira,
- 54:54I'm sorry, it has to be you. Has a celebration
- 54:58party the night before the fight?
- 55:01Speaker 1: At a party.
- 55:02Speaker 2: At a party.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Was drinking wine and shit?
- 55:04Speaker 2: No, he wasn't. Was he?
- 55:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's drinking wine.
- 55:06Speaker 2: No, I think it was water.
- 55:08Speaker 3: No, I'm pretty sure he's drinking wine.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Imagine that fucking psychopath. And he gets starched. Yeah, and
- 55:13he's got that beautiful fucking Spanish accent. Yeah, dude.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Just checks all boxes.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Checks all the boxes.
- 55:19Speaker 3: It's such a tough fight for Justin, but I'm rooting
- 55:22for Justin.
- 55:22Speaker 2: I love both of them. But just for the.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Sheer fact of, again, I like chaos. At that, in
- 55:28front of the weird elites watching the fight, you don't
- 55:30know what the fuck's going on.
- 55:31Speaker 2: It's going to be great if Justin pulls it off.
- 55:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:34Speaker 2: If Justin pulls it off, it'll be one of the
- 55:36greatest upsets of all time, one of the greatest victories
- 55:38of all time. And if he does just retire, Teporia
- 55:42plans to celebrate before the Gaethje clash at the White House.
- 55:44Of course he's going to celebrate.
- 55:45Speaker 3: Whatever he's doing.
- 55:46Speaker 2: That's his move. Whatever he does.
- 55:47Speaker 1: He's doing it again.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Massive celebration dinner the night before his lightweight bout. We're
- 55:52going to celebrate before the fight. Actually, we have everything organized.
- 55:54My team has already taken care of that. That's a
- 55:59mind fucking a half when you're in your hotel room,
- 56:02you know, and you're just fucking scrolling on Instagram thinking
- 56:05about 24 hours from now you're going to be fighting.
- 56:07And you're like, what's this asshole doing? Oh, he's fucking
- 56:10standing on top of a table dancing.
- 56:12Speaker 3: That's how sure he is he's going to beat the
- 56:14fuck out of you.
- 56:15Speaker 2: He's eating spaghetti and fucking doing a salsa dance. Like,
- 56:19what the fuck are you talking about, man?
- 56:22Speaker 3: Did you see when all the fighters are at the
- 56:23White House?
- 56:24Speaker 2: Trump's like, I thought you liked this guy. You're like, oh, fuck.
- 56:28Why would you give your friend his toughest test? Yeah. Well,
- 56:31for Gaethje, that's the last fight. I mean, if this
- 56:34is really going to be his last fight, that is
- 56:36the last fight. And it's smart.
- 56:38Speaker 3: It's smart. Because that Patty fight is, you know, entertaining
- 56:42fight for the casuals. But as far as technical wise,
- 56:45it was so sloppy, man. It was just so sloppy.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Well, Justin told me that that's what he wanted to do.
- 56:51Which he should do. He just wanted to just go,
- 56:53fuck you, and just come at him and just throw
- 56:55caution to the wind and just almost fight like he
- 56:58did back in the PFL days.
- 57:00Speaker 3: World Series of Fighting Days.
- 57:01Speaker 2: That's what it was.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
- 57:03Speaker 3: That's exactly what he should be doing. And that's exactly
- 57:05what he should have done. And then for Patty, it
- 57:07was a sloppy fight, but he got the job done.
- 57:09But you can tell, and it's all good. This isn't
- 57:12a knock on Justin. All the years, all the wars,
- 57:15one of the greatest careers we've ever seen. It catches
- 57:18up with you. 100%.
- 57:19Speaker 2: It has to. And now here's Ilya Toporia. But again,
- 57:23I bet Justin wouldn't have it any other way.
- 57:25Speaker 3: You have an opportunity to pull off one of the biggest,
- 57:28if not the biggest upset we've ever seen.
- 57:30Speaker 2: At the fucking White House. Justin has an awesome series,
- 57:35The Art of Violence, I think it's called. It's on
- 57:37YouTube and it's all talking about him preparing. It's all
- 57:41videos of him training and Trevor Whitman's in it. And
- 57:43Trevor was saying, we love being the underdog. We love it.
- 57:46And he talked about being the underdog with Rose Namajunas
- 57:49when she beat Ioana Jojicek. Sure. When she beat Yong
- 57:53Wei Lee. Same thing. Like, they love being the underdog
- 57:56in those situations. Like, stopping Wei Lee was nuts.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 58:00Speaker 2: You know, that she was the underdog, head kicks her. Yep.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Crazy. And that— This is a little different, but I
- 58:05hear you.
- 58:06Speaker 2: It is different. It's different. But it is— it' s similar in ways, right?
- 58:11The Zhang Weili is because Zhang Weili is fucking everybody.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Scary.
- 58:16Speaker 2: There's no one like her. The physicality of her at
- 58:19straw weight. She was a fucking monster. Like her training
- 58:22was bananas. Crazy. I'd watch her training.
- 58:24Speaker 3: I'd go, good Lord. Who's going to beat her? Her
- 58:26shoulders and shit.
- 58:27Speaker 2: But the way she trains, she trains like a dude.
- 58:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Like an angry dude. You know what I mean? That's
- 58:32the haircut to show. And it's not a knock on
- 58:37the way women train. I'm not saying that. I'm saying
- 58:40like the ferocity was like she's filled with testosterone. Like
- 58:46she's trying to kill somebody.
- 58:47Speaker 3: She probably is, Joe.
- 58:48Speaker 2: She might be. It might be natural. It might have
- 58:52slipped something into her noodles. Did you see that one
- 58:56fighter who got busted? And she goes, oh, man, I
- 59:01took my husband's vitamins. It just had to be steroids. Yeah,
- 59:03my husband. She threw her husband under the bus for
- 59:06taking steroids. He fucked up. Is he an active fighter?
- 59:09Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Is he?
- 59:11Speaker 3: No, he's probably just some meathead. He's like, yeah, I
- 59:12guess this works.
- 59:13Speaker 2: I hope so. Yeah, me too. Because if he's an
- 59:14active fighter, he'd be like, what the fuck?
- 59:17Speaker 3: Now we're both fucked.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Say somebody gave you the wrong thing.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:21Speaker 3: Jesus Christ.
- 59:21Speaker 2: But back to Whaley and Rose.
- 59:24Speaker 3: The difference with that is Rose was still pretty in
- 59:26her prime there.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Yes. 100%. That's a good point. That's a good point.
- 59:31Real good point. Justin's not in his prime, but damn,
- 59:34he didn't look like he lost a step in the
- 59:36Patti Pimblitt fight. He looked like he was just being
- 59:39an animal. And Pimblitt's fucking good, man. You see what
- 59:42Pimblitt did to Bobby Green? Granted, Bobby Green's not quite
- 59:46at the same level, although he was. Fucking sensational. You
- 59:49look good. Against Jeremy Stevens. He just keeps doing the
- 59:52damn thing. Also, that style is so fun. Talking shit,
- 59:55pointing at you. He's fun, man.
- 59:57Speaker 3: So fun.
- 59:57Speaker 2: He's one of my faves. So fun. How about at
- 59:59the end of the fight, when I'm interviewing him, he's like,
- 1:00:01come walk with me. And he takes me over to Dana.
- 1:00:03He's like, yo, Dana.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he wants that bonus. They've never given him a bonus.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: He was just talking about how he's one of the
- 1:00:09most exciting fighters that's ever done it. He's awesome. I'm like,
- 1:00:11everybody knows that. He's like, well, I didn't get my
- 1:00:13fucking bonus. Yeah.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: But I'm kind of with Dana on the bonus thing.
- 1:00:17Dana goes, well, we do it also to your strength
- 1:00:21of your opponent.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Zell Huber was good, dude. He beat Zell Huber in
- 1:00:25his last fight and stopped him. Bad-ass fight. He should
- 1:00:28have got a part. He should have got it for
- 1:00:29that one. That's what he was talking about.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Well, but for this last fight, for his last fight,
- 1:00:34you know, he fought Jeremy Stevens. Great fight, great fighter. But,
- 1:00:37you know, compared to, like, the other guys on the card.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's different.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: That's why Dana's like, well— No.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: But he was complaining about not getting a bonus in
- 1:00:46his last fight. That's why he wanted a bonus in
- 1:00:48this fight. He was saying, because I even asked him,
- 1:00:50I go, you didn't get a bonus for the Zell
- 1:00:51Huber fight? He got 25K, right? Because he finished him.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: If you get a finish, no matter what, but he
- 1:00:57wanted the big boy bonus.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: The big boy bonus. Yeah. I hate all of it.
- 1:01:01I hate people that have to ask for bonuses. It's awkward. Look,
- 1:01:05the money is there. We know the money's there. This
- 1:01:09is a $ 7 billion deal. I'm not a businessman. I'll
- 1:01:12say that right now. If I was running the UFC,
- 1:01:15the stockholders, they would fucking kick me out. The shareholders
- 1:01:18would have me fired. I run that bitch like affliction.
- 1:01:22You don't want that. You don't want me running affliction.
- 1:01:24Because I treat it like I was a communist.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Yeah, me too. I'm also a little more careful the
- 1:01:29way I talk about it too because I don't know
- 1:01:30their books. I don't know how to run a giant
- 1:01:32company like that. I assume with $ 7. 7 billion, I'm like, man,
- 1:01:36I feel like we could give some over here. But
- 1:01:39then if you talk to somebody and they're like, oh,
- 1:01:41do you? Well, look at this, motherfucker.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, my bad.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: My bad.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Now, this is not a knock on Ari Emanuel, but
- 1:01:47it was reported that he made $ 67 million last year.
- 1:01:49He worked very hard. I'm sure he did. But that
- 1:01:52was from the UFC, from TKO, right? That was his payout.
- 1:01:55And he's got a bunch of other things going on.
- 1:01:57He's a very successful guy.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: But is he the reason they sold for $ 7.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: 7 billion? He's a big part of it. Probably a
- 1:02:04big part, right?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: 100%.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: And also, he took the big chance in purchasing it
- 1:02:07for $ 2 billion, which was a big deal. The whole
- 1:02:10thing is like this is why you're in business. I
- 1:02:14think fighting is different than any other business. And the
- 1:02:18reason why I say this, and you could speak to
- 1:02:21this more than anybody, you are putting your health on
- 1:02:25the line in a way that is not required in
- 1:02:27any other business other than maybe football and boxing and kickboxing.
- 1:02:32You're putting your health on the line in a way
- 1:02:34that's different than any other business. you are the only
- 1:02:37thing that people are tuning in for. Without the fighters,
- 1:02:40there is no UFC. It doesn't exist. It is the
- 1:02:45entire product. The thing you're selling is entirely fighters. And
- 1:02:51it's fighters that operate for a short window of their prime.
- 1:02:56They have 10 years or whatever they have. And when
- 1:02:59they get out, We've all talked about guys that are
- 1:03:02mumbling now. You can't understand what the fuck they say.
- 1:03:05You see like tics that they have and guys who
- 1:03:08have neurological problems, memory problems. It's real. So I don't
- 1:03:13think we should think of it like any other business
- 1:03:16because the entire business model is these guys' bodies and
- 1:03:21the consequence is their health and it's for the rest
- 1:03:24of their life. And so if you're doing something that
- 1:03:26is generating a significant amount of money, for a very
- 1:03:30short amount of time, I think you should get a
- 1:03:33lot of money for that if you're one of those people.
- 1:03:36The amount of money that is left over for the
- 1:03:39other people, the people that are making the money, that
- 1:03:42put the money in, they should still get a lot
- 1:03:44of money, which is why they did it in the
- 1:03:45first place. But I don't think the balance is correct. Now,
- 1:03:50I am biased, right? Because again, I'm not a businessman,
- 1:03:53but I have a deep empathy for people who put
- 1:03:56themselves in front of harm And try to chase that
- 1:04:02glory for our entertainment, for the sport that we love.
- 1:04:06And I think they should be compensated more.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think you're– I mean obviously we're biased
- 1:04:11because we love fighters and I was a fighter.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: It's not even about being biased. It's just– Fairness. It's fairness.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: It's fairness in the marketplace and– Well, the thing is–
- 1:04:21It's such a dicey thing. I know people hate when
- 1:04:24I bring up fighter talk and I get sick of
- 1:04:27it too because– I don't know what you can really do.
- 1:04:33It's simple.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Is it, though?
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Because here's the thing.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: People will go, okay, they made $ 7.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: 7 billion.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: Here's their overhead. We don't know what's going on. But
- 1:04:43it's like, the UFC is the only combat sports promotion
- 1:04:51to ever make money.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Ever.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Nobody else has ever done it better or made profit.
- 1:04:58So my thing is like, is this just what it is?
- 1:05:02And I know some people are like, you're such an idiot.
- 1:05:05They have this leftover money. I hear you. But what
- 1:05:07I'm saying is there's PFL, Bellator, Affliction, World Series. We
- 1:05:12can go through the list. One championship.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: None of them.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Are around somewhere on their last leg. No one's ever
- 1:05:19been able to sustain it. And I'm not saying we
- 1:05:22don't deserve more fucking money. All I'm saying is, is
- 1:05:25this just how it goes in the fight business?
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not a businessman. I know people
- 1:05:29are yelling right now, you're fucking it.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I'm just saying, is fighting different where, hey man, that's just,
- 1:05:37it's not the NFL. It's not the NBA. It's not MLB.
- 1:05:40In order for us to continue this rise together, this
- 1:05:43is what it is it's 18 to the.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Fighters i i don't know joe okay well that's what
- 1:05:49i'm saying i don't good points first of all let's
- 1:05:51just give the ufc its flowers because without i love
- 1:05:54the kids say that these days give it give the
- 1:05:56flowers yeah good saying have your daughter started using buns
- 1:05:59yet oh yeah they use that yeah i just found
- 1:06:01it my my son's bad buns is bad yeah i
- 1:06:03didn't know i got a new truck my son's like
- 1:06:05i think it's buns i'm like is that good what's
- 1:06:06that it's ass yeah i know but buns are always
- 1:06:09like cute buns yeah i know check out the.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Balance it's.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we're young Jamie. Young Jamie.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: But what were you saying?
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: The UFC is the greatest organization in combat sports history, period.
- 1:06:21There's nothing even close. The product is so much better
- 1:06:23than any boxing promotion. And my friends that I've brought
- 1:06:27to the UFC that are boxing fans, like my friend
- 1:06:29Josh Dubin, he was like, the fucking production's incredible. He goes,
- 1:06:34it's so much more exciting than any boxing event. It's
- 1:06:37so much better. That is 100% true. They've also been
- 1:06:40a consolidated organization forever. Right. I mean, it was a
- 1:06:44different owner. It was Bob Meyerowitz back in the day
- 1:06:48in 97 when I worked for them. But from 2021 on.
- 1:06:52So for the last 25 fucking years, it's been Zufa. Right.
- 1:06:57They sold Zufa. Now Zufa sold to Ari Emanuel and
- 1:07:01TKO and. But the same people are running it, right?
- 1:07:04It's still Dana White. It's still all these people behind
- 1:07:07the scenes. That's another conversation. Yeah, it's still Anik. It's
- 1:07:10still me and DC and Michael Bisping and all the
- 1:07:13other people that are doing commentary and, you know, Dominic
- 1:07:16Cruz and Paul Felder and Laura Sanko. It's still the
- 1:07:21team's the same. The team behind the scenes is the same.
- 1:07:23It's so polished. There's never a problem. When I show
- 1:07:26up at the UFC, everything's so smooth. You go in
- 1:07:30and say hi to everybody. I show my badge to
- 1:07:32the fucking security people. I say hi. We sit down.
- 1:07:36Everything is smooth. We got a hit in five minutes. Okay, great.
- 1:07:39Everybody's there. The sound guy's on point. Everything is on point.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: It's so easy.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: And it's like the production in the truck is so
- 1:07:49fucking good. They always have the right angle. Giordano is
- 1:07:52always on the case when it comes to like getting
- 1:07:54the right angle for a submission or getting the right
- 1:07:56angle for replays. If I ask for something, I got
- 1:07:59it right away. Like, like I'll push the button, you know,
- 1:08:02let me hear his corner.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Cause it's boom. They're right on it. It's they're the
- 1:08:06best high level. They're the best. And you notice that
- 1:08:08when you see other promotions, it's like the other promotions,
- 1:08:11the camera works on as good. It's like, it's the
- 1:08:15machine is so good. And, It's become like the NFL. Like,
- 1:08:19I know the XFL exists. I've never even fucking heard
- 1:08:22of a game. I've never even heard of a game.
- 1:08:23Name one player. No one's even brought up a game
- 1:08:26that's going to happen. Never. I know it's a thing. Never.
- 1:08:28And the problem with casuals, that's the same with the PFL.
- 1:08:31Even though the PFL's fucking got really good fighters. There's
- 1:08:34really good fighters in the PFL. Far cry from the UFC,
- 1:08:37but yeah. Some of them are really good, man. That
- 1:08:39cat that just knocked out Hennep Farrar, the guy who's
- 1:08:42the heavyweight... That is Fedor's protege. Oh, yeah, yeah, the
- 1:08:46Russian cat. Bro. He's good. Bro. He's good. In the
- 1:08:50UFC's fucking shallow-ass heavyweight division, we could use that cat.
- 1:08:53We could use him. I'd like to show up at
- 1:08:54that dude's hotel room in a fucking briefcase full of money. Like,
- 1:08:58let's go, dawg.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: But yeah, my thing with the UFC and when you
- 1:09:02talk about the staff and you got to give them
- 1:09:04their flowers, they're the only one that's figured it out.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: They're the best. By far the best. It's the best
- 1:09:07organization by far. And they deserve to be rich because
- 1:09:10of that. They've made an incredible product. So do the fighters, though.
- 1:09:14I think your product is entirely dependent on the fighters. Now,
- 1:09:19this is my position with my comedy club. So my
- 1:09:22comedy club pays different than every comedy club. The fighters,
- 1:09:26the fighters, the comedians make most of the money when
- 1:09:29it comes to the door. That's how it should be.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: But let me ask you this, Joe. And if it's
- 1:09:33too much, like, dude, get the fuck out of it.
- 1:09:35But is your is the mothership compared to the comedy store,
- 1:09:40the improv?
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Are you guys crushing them? It's doing really well. I mean,
- 1:09:43the Comedy Store is always going to be one of
- 1:09:45the great clubs on Earth. It's a legendary club. It's
- 1:09:49dependent upon who's there. The difference between the way the
- 1:09:51Comedy Store does it and the way we do it.
- 1:09:54is that we bring in national headliners for the weekend.
- 1:09:57Like the weekend, it might be Dave Attell.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: This week is Tony Rock.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Is there another club that does that? Is there, because
- 1:10:02the coming store is a little different because you have
- 1:10:03your regulars. Is there another club that does that?
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Sure.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Most clubs do that for the weekends, but the thing is,
- 1:10:08they don't have the same lineup for the weekdays. Yeah,
- 1:10:10I know. So the weekdays, we've got Shane Gillis, Ron White,
- 1:10:13Tony Hinchcliffe, Kill Tony's there every Monday. It's a different setup.
- 1:10:17That's what I'm saying. Is there anybody doing that?
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Because the comics have to be, but my whole point is,
- 1:10:21however you run your business, it's like, Is the model
- 1:10:24where you're doing it, where the comics are making the
- 1:10:27majority of the money, is that a sustainable business?
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: 100%. It makes money. If we take Joe.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Rogan out of it and some dude wants to start
- 1:10:36a club and did the same thing, is that going
- 1:10:38to be profitable? No.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: You have to have the talent, but that's the difference.
- 1:10:41It's like the thing with the PFL versus the UFC.
- 1:10:43You have to have the talent, right? And the reason
- 1:10:46why our club works is because– Look, it's pure luck.
- 1:10:51It's pure luck. Everything had to line up. We had
- 1:10:53to hit every green light. COVID had to happen. The
- 1:10:58comedy store had to get shut down. All the employees
- 1:11:00from the comedy store had to get fired. We had
- 1:11:03to not be able to do stand-up in L.A. I
- 1:11:06had to be worried about my family and the crime
- 1:11:09and the riots. And then the COVID shit where everyone
- 1:11:13was wearing a mask. I was like, this is bananas.
- 1:11:15And then moving to Texas or just visiting Texas.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: But you got to give yourself credit. Like luck, yes,
- 1:11:21but you were also the guy that had the idea
- 1:11:23to do it. Most people wouldn't pull that trigger. You
- 1:11:25didn't have to do that.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: That is true. But it's all a lot of luck
- 1:11:28because it had to happen at the right time. It
- 1:11:30had to happen at a time in my career where
- 1:11:32I had a lot of money. So it had to
- 1:11:34happen when the Spotify deal took place. So I had
- 1:11:37all this money. Yeah. And then it all had a
- 1:11:39lineup where I was already the number one podcast in
- 1:11:41the world. So I could easily get people to come.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: Because of you, Joe. I understand.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: I get the like thing. But it had the line.
- 1:11:46And you're humble. No, no, no. I'm just being honest.
- 1:11:49Like it had a line up. So I couldn't have
- 1:11:52done it on my own. I had to come here.
- 1:11:56And Ron White was already here. So Ron White's a
- 1:11:58big reason why the club. I mean, he's one of
- 1:12:00the main reasons why I moved.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Because I was like, yeah, even if I never do
- 1:12:04comedy again and I was really wondering if we're ever
- 1:12:06going to do comedy again. Ron's here. I'll hang out
- 1:12:08with Ron. We'll have laughs. Yeah. So when I moved
- 1:12:11here and then all of a sudden Tony moved here
- 1:12:12and then Tom Segura moved here and Brian Simpson moved
- 1:12:14here and Hassan moved here and Derek Poston moved here.
- 1:12:17And it was like, oh, shit, we got something cooking.
- 1:12:20And then Tim Dillon came here and then it was like, oh,
- 1:12:22my God. And then Duncan Trussell moved here. I was like,
- 1:12:24holy shit. Well, they're moving because you're here. I understand.
- 1:12:28You're the mothership.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: But they had to do it before the mothership even opened.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: Take a shot.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: They all moved before the mothership opened. Shane moved after
- 1:12:36the mothership opened. But they all came in early and
- 1:12:41trusted me. Yes. And so I was like, okay, these guys,
- 1:12:45I owe them. They took a chance with their future.
- 1:12:49I have to throw everything into this and all together
- 1:12:53we'll do it. Yeah. So it's our club. It's really
- 1:12:55our club. But it had to happen in a way
- 1:12:58where I had this– disposable money I had disposable income
- 1:13:02where I could do it and it wouldn't hurt me
- 1:13:04and then I could set it up in a way
- 1:13:05where the comics make so much money so that way
- 1:13:08you encourage people to stay so there's so many people
- 1:13:11that are there all week long during the week they
- 1:13:13don't have to go do shows other places they can
- 1:13:15make money at their home club you're doing it.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: Right I guess my example like can the UFC do
- 1:13:20that because my example for you it's like can these
- 1:13:22other comic clubs do that and sustain and grow and
- 1:13:25have money.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: They could in New York and they might be able
- 1:13:28to do it in LA So I don't think you
- 1:13:30could do it in L.A. right now because the store
- 1:13:32is open. And the store is always going to be
- 1:13:34the premier club in the world. It's always legendary. So
- 1:13:37it's on Sunset Strip. Even though L.A. is falling apart,
- 1:13:40it's still the legendary destination for stand-up comedy. It's one
- 1:13:44of the main reasons why I was excited to move
- 1:13:45to L.A. It was Mecca. It was when I was
- 1:13:48a beginner and an open mic-er in 1988. They would
- 1:13:52talk about the store like it was Mecca, like you
- 1:13:54had to go to the store.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: They still do, though.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: I don't think that's ever gone away.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: It's– The store comes and goes in cycles. It always does.
- 1:14:02It always goes in cycles depending on who's in town,
- 1:14:05who's there. It's a very– all comedy clubs are dependent
- 1:14:08upon what talent is in town during the weekdays. And
- 1:14:11if you don't bring in talent on the weekends, that's
- 1:14:14the difference. So the store doesn't bring in headliners for
- 1:14:17the weekend like the way our club does. I told Scott,
- 1:14:21Scott Shore. I was like– I think– no, it was Peter.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Sorry. I told Peter Shore. I was like, I think
- 1:14:27you guys should do that. I think you should like bring.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: In– But do they have to though? Because you can
- 1:14:31still go on a Saturday night and you'll see big names.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Yes, you will. Big names. But you could have those
- 1:14:36people there still as well. Like they could also do
- 1:14:39shows with that person and you have two other rooms.
- 1:14:41And that's what you guys– You have the OR and
- 1:14:43you have the belly room. You have three rooms in
- 1:14:46one location. Like you could still have– The OR filled
- 1:14:49with top talent because they don't give a fuck where
- 1:14:52they're performing in the big stage or the little stage.
- 1:14:54In fact, most of us prefer the little stage. The
- 1:14:56OR is an amazing room. But the thing is, it's
- 1:15:00like you have to have enough talent in town. And
- 1:15:02a lot of people moved out of L.A. A lot
- 1:15:04of people moved out. Joey Diaz moved out of L.A.
- 1:15:07Like a lot of people moved out. Theo moved out.
- 1:15:10A lot of people moved out. So the problem is
- 1:15:13you would have to have enough talent there and then
- 1:15:16you would have to have talent that was there all
- 1:15:18the time like us. Like we're at the club all
- 1:15:21the time.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I think– and going back to if the UFC could
- 1:15:25do this, like they're profiting so much now.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: There's no reason to. I understand. That's the other issue.
- 1:15:31This is the problem. Do you want to hear my
- 1:15:32idea though? This is rational.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: Do you want to hear my idea?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Yeah. And you might be like you're out of your
- 1:15:35fucking mind. OK.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: And it's– and again, I'm not– Nothing. You cut my
- 1:15:40fucking wrist right now. Bob O'Reilly spills out. I fucking
- 1:15:42bleed UFC. I made my entire career. When that Paramount
- 1:15:47deal was announced, and I'm a wild boy, when that
- 1:15:49Paramount deal was announced, what I would have done is,
- 1:15:52and this is the issue why things will never change,
- 1:15:56I would have talked to all the managers, all the fighters,
- 1:15:59and said, we're not fighting another fight. They just signed
- 1:16:02a huge deal, $ 7.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: 7 million.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: If you guys want to get your equal share of
- 1:16:06nobody's agreeing to a fight bout, to a fight card,
- 1:16:10unless we get, I don't know, someone's going to figure
- 1:16:13out 30%. So it's 18% right now. If we go
- 1:16:15up 30%, which they're still going to have profit, if
- 1:16:18they agree to that, then we'll fight. But there's no
- 1:16:21deal if we don't fight. Those days are over now,
- 1:16:24so you missed the mark. Now you're going to say, yeah,
- 1:16:27but they can get other guys to do that. And
- 1:16:29I'm saying across the board, we all agree that, As fighters,
- 1:16:33we're not going to fucking move an inch.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: If you can get fighters to agree to that, it
- 1:16:38would work. That's the problem. It'll never happen. Not in
- 1:16:41a million years.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: That was my idea.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Then here's the other thought. Rally the troops. Dana White
- 1:16:45has this thought about fighters that when they get paid
- 1:16:48too much and they get rich, their careers end earlier. Oh,
- 1:16:52that's the other— Armand Saroukian. And he's right. Yeah. And
- 1:16:55he's right.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: Well, there's Armand, who's Bruce Wayne, but for the most part,
- 1:16:59he's right. Don't go through anybody's career.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: He's kind of right. He's kind of right, but it
- 1:17:03doesn't matter. That's on them. Yeah, agree. That's on them. Yeah,
- 1:17:07that's fair. Yeah. I mean, he's right, but you can't
- 1:17:10protect them unless— You have a bonus that you're going
- 1:17:12to pay them out when they retire. And they're not
- 1:17:14going to do that. But the other thing, I think
- 1:17:16Sean Shelby said this. It might have been McManier.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: One of them was like, the other issue we have
- 1:17:21is when guys get paid a lot and then we
- 1:17:24offer them fights, we're not getting the fights we want
- 1:17:26to make. Once they have that goose egg, they're like,
- 1:17:28I'm not fighting that fucking guy.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: It's a nightmare. I know.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: But again, you can't base it off of that because
- 1:17:34I'm sure there's some guys who will do it.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: And you fuck with them.
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: But it's not a reason not to pay them.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: Listen, it's... All this is hippie talk. But I feel
- 1:17:46like if I owned the UFC, I would not feel
- 1:17:51good if people didn't feel compensated correctly. This is just
- 1:17:55my feeling. And I'm not a good businessman. If you
- 1:18:00want to be a good businessman, you got to make
- 1:18:01the most money possible. I don't know, Joe. You've done
- 1:18:03pretty fucking well, Bubba. A lot of luck. A lot
- 1:18:06of luck.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: You got to quit saying luck. You're driving me nuts.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: No, but it is. You're driving me nuts, dude.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: You work harder than anybody else.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Well, I work hard when I, listen, I stick with
- 1:18:14things and I have a good work ethic. That is true.
- 1:18:17That's half the battle, Bubba. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I'm
- 1:18:19not like a businessman in the sense of like if
- 1:18:22I was running a business like that, I wouldn't treat
- 1:18:24it the same way. I wouldn't say I'm trying to
- 1:18:26make the most money possible. I would say I got money.
- 1:18:29And let's just make this motherfucker the greatest thing of
- 1:18:32all time and make everybody feel good about it.
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but again, I don't know the in and outs.
- 1:18:36I don't know if you can run an organization like
- 1:18:39that and be profitable.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, it would be profitable, but it
- 1:18:41wouldn't be as profitable. And that's the thing when you
- 1:18:44have shareholders. So when you have shareholders, you have an
- 1:18:47obligation to your shareholders to maximize your profits.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: And this is the only knock on the UCI I
- 1:18:53have is in order to get that $ 7. 7 billion deal,
- 1:18:58you have to put on whatever it is, 45 fight
- 1:19:00cards a year.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: So like those fight nights. So now- You don't really
- 1:19:05have the talent or the stars to fulfill those cards.
- 1:19:08But because you made this deal with Paramount, now you're
- 1:19:11getting just– you're signing these contender series kids who have
- 1:19:15three fights, four fights where 10 years ago, those boys
- 1:19:18ain't sniffing the UFC. It was so hard to get in.
- 1:19:20But now because we have to fulfill those cards, you're
- 1:19:22getting a lower level of talent.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, here's what's interesting. So one of the players
- 1:19:29in the purchasing of the UFC, of the rights to
- 1:19:31the UFC, was Netflix. They were one of the players. Interesting.
- 1:19:35They were one of the people that were thinking about
- 1:19:37doing it. Um, so there was negotiations with them. There's
- 1:19:40negotiations with ESPN and ultimately Paramount was like this wild
- 1:19:44dark horse. They came around with the big money.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: And I like Paramount.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I have no issues.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Look, I love ads are weird, but whatever. I love
- 1:19:50mob land. I love land. Land man. Yeah. Mob land
- 1:19:54is fucking great. Everyone's that. Fuck.
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Great.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: He's an Audi. He's R6 in that.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: So bad. Me too.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: I was trying to convince my wife.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: I never wanted a wagon until I saw Tom Hardy
- 1:20:03drive that. They're fucking sick. They're so sick. It's a
- 1:20:06great show. But Paramount has awesome shows. So it makes sense.
- 1:20:11I already had it. Great. Perfect. I love the fact
- 1:20:13there's no pay-per-view. But what's interesting about Netflix not doing
- 1:20:18it– because I think Netflix didn't want the– I might
- 1:20:21be talking out of school, but I'll just say it.
- 1:20:23I believe what I heard– here's the caveat– is that
- 1:20:27Netflix did not want the small fights. They did not
- 1:20:30want fight night. Good for them. Yeah. They only wanted
- 1:20:35the big ones. They're like, get that shit out of here. Well,
- 1:20:38some of the fight nights are fucking awesome. We like
- 1:20:40them because we're degenerate.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: Right. The public's like, who the fuck are these guys?
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: And the Apex, there's no one there. Yeah.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: I love that Netflix is like, we'll take these.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: I love the Apex fights. I love it all. I've
- 1:20:49been planning on going to an Apex fight card. I'm
- 1:20:52trying to find the right one just to go and watch.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: I'll go with you.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Let's fucking go. I would love that. I just want
- 1:20:57to go to watch because they'll let you in if
- 1:20:59you come with me. Yeah. I feel like I don't
- 1:21:02have any enemies there anymore. I kind of stood by
- 1:21:04the fact they didn't want the volume. That's it. That's
- 1:21:07how they said it, which we understood from the get-go.
- 1:21:09Ted Sarandos, who I love. Bella Bajaria. I don't know her.
- 1:21:15We're very upfront with that. We're looking for big events.
- 1:21:18So the fact that you could give us one pay-per-view,
- 1:21:20which is just... We were just going to put on
- 1:21:22the platform for free as long as you're a subscriber.
- 1:21:25As long as you just give us that, we're in.
- 1:21:28We'll pay premium for it. But we don't want to
- 1:21:30carry the other 30 fight nights.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: They said we don't want the bullshit.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: Here's the thing. But then where would those 30 fight
- 1:21:35nights go? That's the question.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: But then that fulfills PFL, Bellator, or you– Fight Pass.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Fight Pass. Fight Pass. You could do that. Fight Pass.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: But to– again, the business side of it– The Zufa
- 1:21:48or TKO is going, well, hold on. The reason we
- 1:21:50get such a big nut, $ 7. 7 billion, because we offer
- 1:21:54so much content. You guys are trying to do what
- 1:21:56our game plan was 15 years ago, which are just
- 1:21:59one big fight every once a month, which for the
- 1:22:03fans is fucking awesome.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: It makes sense for Zufa. And it makes sense for Netflix.
- 1:22:09I get it. All of it makes sense. It just
- 1:22:11wasn't a fit. But what I was getting at is
- 1:22:14now it's interesting because Netflix has got a lot of money.
- 1:22:20Netflix throws some money around, right? And Netflix has a
- 1:22:23tremendous amount of subscribers. And now Netflix is in the
- 1:22:27MMA game.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: I'm glad you brought that up. Have you heard anybody
- 1:22:31talk about it?
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: Keep going. Us? Dorks like you and me? Keep going. No.
- 1:22:35No one in the real world is talking about it
- 1:22:36to me. But that's okay. The point is they're going
- 1:22:40to do it, and just because it's on Netflix, I
- 1:22:42guarantee you millions of people will watch it. I bet
- 1:22:45they'll have a hard time selling live tickets. Let's see
- 1:22:48if it's sold out.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: It's definitely not, and the tickets are $ 88. But this
- 1:22:54is where it gets tricky because the more places fighters
- 1:23:00have to go, the better because UFC has no competition.
- 1:23:02It's a monopoly. All good, which NFL is, NBA is.
- 1:23:05I have no issues with that. Right. So if fighters,
- 1:23:07big-name fighters have a place to go and can get paid.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: I'm all for it. Right.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: The issue with Netflix and getting MMA, it's like my
- 1:23:14thing would be, well, what's the plan here?
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: So Ronda and Gina fight this weekend. You got two
- 1:23:19four-year-olds fighting the main event.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: It's going to get good numbers. But again– and you
- 1:23:25know this. You've been in business with Netflix. They're not
- 1:23:27going to give you the real numbers, right? When you negotiate,
- 1:23:29they don't give you the real numbers.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: No, they don't tell you shit. They don't tell you.
- 1:23:32They say, you did great.
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: They don't tell you. But then all of a sudden,
- 1:23:34Jake Paul did 400 million people.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: I'm like– Really? Did he? So they're going to say. Well,
- 1:23:40Jake Paul can say that, right? Did Netflix say that?
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: Netflix said this.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: No, Netflix said 400 million people watch it. Some bullshit
- 1:23:46like that.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: Some bullshit.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: How many people have Netflix? I don't think they have
- 1:23:48that many.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: I made up a crazy number, but it's a ton
- 1:23:50of people.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: That last article said that they have over 300 million subscribers.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: So 100 million people were hiring it. So say 100 million. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: So say 100. And right now, you know, and I
- 1:24:00get Rhonda's being a promoter. She learned from Dana. She's like,
- 1:24:02we're going to destroy the White House.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: I disagree. I don't think it does. But Netflix will
- 1:24:07tell you they did. Well, here's the thing. Even if
- 1:24:10it gets really good numbers, Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua,
- 1:24:1333 million viewers on Netflix. That's really good. That's really good.
- 1:24:18I don't know what the Sean Strickland, Hamzak Chamayev numbers were.
- 1:24:24They might not have been 33 million. Maybe they were.
- 1:24:27I don't know. The thing about it being Paramount, Paramount
- 1:24:30does not have the number of subscribers that Netflix has.
- 1:24:33How many subscribers? I'm guessing. I might be wrong. I
- 1:24:35think they have like 60 million, right? How many subscribers
- 1:24:38does Paramount Plus have? But this is what you're not
- 1:24:41taking into consideration.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: Paramount and the UFC, it's only in America. So in
- 1:24:47Canada and other– The Paramount in Europe, there's not a thing.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: So what are those views now? Right.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: You know, like when we're adding all this up. Can
- 1:24:56they get Paramount in other countries?
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: I don't think the Paramount's in Europe and shit like that.
- 1:25:00They're watching on like Sky Sports, I think, out there.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: They have a different deal.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Oh, interesting.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: And then Australia, I think, still has pay-per-view. Interesting. I
- 1:25:08think you're right. I think you're right. Okay, 79 million subscribers.
- 1:25:13So that's a big difference between, it says globally. Yeah,
- 1:25:17half of them are in the U.S., 35 million are
- 1:25:19in the U.S. Are there any countries where Paramount is
- 1:25:22not in? Let's put that into– Yeah.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: But I still think that UFC deal was just for
- 1:25:27the U.S.
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just for the U.S.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: Just for the U.S.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: OK.
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: Because UK is Sky Sports.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: So that means there's only 35 million people that it's reaching, period.
- 1:25:35So they'll never get to the Jake Paul number, the
- 1:25:38Jake Paul number of the Anthony Joshua fight. If that's
- 1:25:40an accurate number, 33 million, they're never going to get
- 1:25:42to that. But remember the White House is also on CBS. Yeah.
- 1:25:45That's different. How many people have CBS? How many people
- 1:25:49are watching regular TV? That's wild. I mean, maybe they
- 1:25:52might 30 more views. Oh, my dad's crunk. My dad's crunk.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: That shit's on Channel 4 in Denver, Colorado.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Use your rabbit ears.
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: Pick it up.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: They still have regular TV, man. Regular TV is crazy.
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Like some people have to fucking move the antenna. The
- 1:26:06signal's coming in bad.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: There's some people out there with regular TV. Yeah.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Where they only have the four channels. That's crazy.
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: And they're just getting their news from like, you know.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: Robots.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: Fox and fucking.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: They don't even get Fox. Fox is cable. That's right. Yeah.
- 1:26:23Regular TV, you ain't getting jack shit. They can swear
- 1:26:26on Fox. Can they? I believe so. Because if it's
- 1:26:30on cable, I think you're allowed to swear. Oh, wow.
- 1:26:33I think so.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think Fox is. Well, there's a
- 1:26:37broadcast version of Fox, though.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: Right, but is it regulated?
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: But if it's broadcast, it is. That's the whole.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: But Fox still is cable. Right, but broadcast and cable.
- 1:26:48So what do you mean by there's a broadcast version?
- 1:26:50So there's a version.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: It all has to do with over the air. What's
- 1:26:53available through the air.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: That's what the FCC is.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: So the broadcast version meaning that you could just get
- 1:26:58it with a regular antenna?
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: Yeah, there's like a local Fox.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Okay. You're right. You're right. You're right.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Okay. It came way later.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: That's right. I'm so old. I remember when Fox was
- 1:27:08just cable. Channel 31.
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: I remember we wanted to show The Simpsons and Married
- 1:27:12With Children.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: Simpsons too. Maybe it was broadcast back then. Maybe I'm wrong.
- 1:27:18I think I am.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: It was hard to get. It wasn't the strongest of
- 1:27:21signals in most places.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Oh, okay. But it was always broadcast. Okay.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: Mine have fucking times changed now because there's like, you
- 1:27:28talk about Mobland. There's so many dope shows. There's so
- 1:27:32many good shows out there. But it's like hot for
- 1:27:34like a week. And then something else comes.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: There's too many things.
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: There's too much. There would never be Game of Thrones
- 1:27:41or Sopranos where the entire world shuts down. We all
- 1:27:44just kind of binge it when we want.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: True.
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: And there's a new show here. It's not good, man.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: True.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: That's fact. That's fact. Try selling a show right now.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: I was talking about my Gearhead's Gone Wild on Tubi.
- 1:27:57Tubi has fucking, I think, 300 million subscribers.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: They're big.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: But trying to sell a show these days?
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: 300 million subscribers on Tubi? Tubi's fucking massive.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: I didn't know either. I didn't know either.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: When I first got the offer, I'm like, where? But again,
- 1:28:11trying to sell a show.
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: Is fucking tough.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: A car show? Tough, dude. I didn't know Tubi had
- 1:28:16that many subscribers.
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: Look that up to make sure. I've been so exaggerating
- 1:28:22this episode.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: They surpassed 100 million monthly active users.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: How many subscribers do they have in total?
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: I know the numbers are alarming.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Is it a subscriber thing or is it like a
- 1:28:34YouTube thing? We could just like view it.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: I would imagine it's tiered. It says a free ad
- 1:28:39supported stream. service rather than subscription-based model.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: It's free, but.
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: They have subscribed. And then you can get the non-ad
- 1:28:46paid where you pay, I think.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay. So you can just get it for free.
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: Yeah, like YouTube.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: YouTube, right? YouTube is probably the biggest. They probably have
- 1:28:56the most active viewers worldwide. Yeah. Not even close, right?
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: But then remember they tried doing like shows and it
- 1:29:03just ate shit? Like YouTube Red. Remember YouTube Red?
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. They're like making offers. I remember YouTube Red.
- 1:29:11That's crazy. It's interesting because just a regular show on
- 1:29:15YouTube can do really well. Like Mr. Beast. Yeah.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: But I think YouTube Red was like kind of a
- 1:29:20little before that, right? And they're like, put your shows
- 1:29:22on here.
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: They jumped the gun.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: They jumped the gun. Mr.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: Beast was like, or I'll just put my shit out
- 1:29:27and everybody in the world will watch it.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: The thing about it, if you put your shit on YouTube,
- 1:29:31there's literally an infinite number of options and channels. That's
- 1:29:36the thing. And it's completely dependent on what you see,
- 1:29:39like the recommended for you. It's completely what you're interested in.
- 1:29:43Everything's niche now. It's like, like there's people out there.
- 1:29:46We don't even know. And like my kids are like,
- 1:29:48daddy has 60 million subscribers. I'm like, what the fuck?
- 1:29:52I know. I know. You know how much money he's making?
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: It's all niche.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: There's that. But then there's also astroturfing. There's a lot
- 1:30:00of these. Astroturfing is when you, you have fake. downloads
- 1:30:07fake views you have like companies that you can hire
- 1:30:11and they will get you views but so but here's
- 1:30:13the thing that's gonna fuck you it'll fuck you but
- 1:30:15but the point is people still do it and they
- 1:30:18do it because it's you can do it right now
- 1:30:20right and so what that means is like say if
- 1:30:23you have like Millions and millions of subscribers. And then
- 1:30:27you look at the views. The views are hundreds of
- 1:30:29thousands of views. Then you look at the comments, like
- 1:30:31five comments. Six comments. You're like, what the fuck is
- 1:30:33going on? What's going on here?
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: But it's a weird thing to do because in order
- 1:30:37to make money, YouTube sees the back end.
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: So if you're trying to make money off your show,
- 1:30:43you're not going to make money. But it'll get bigger
- 1:30:45because of the number. So here's the thing. So if
- 1:30:47you go to like BrendanChobb.com, if you did that, if
- 1:30:50you have Brendan Chobb's YouTube channel, And I looked at it.
- 1:30:53I'm like, damn, he's got 25 million subscribers. I should
- 1:30:56fucking subscribe. People do that. They'll click on it. And
- 1:30:59they'll click on your views or your videos more often.
- 1:31:01Because they think they're like missing out. Like, clearly this
- 1:31:03guy's doing something right. Of course. It definitely. I'm not
- 1:31:06saying that's responsible for all the views that you'll get
- 1:31:09because of that. But it has an impact on how
- 1:31:11people see you. You look more legitimate. And if you're
- 1:31:15trying to develop sponsor deals or some sort of a
- 1:31:18brand endorsement deal, you're like, well, I've got. 20 million
- 1:31:21subscribers on YouTube, like, oh, this guy's That's true. Yeah,
- 1:31:25it definitely does.
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: But then they're like, but there's three comments.
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: Well, there was scammers that were doing weird stuff in
- 1:31:32the early days of podcasts where they would rig things
- 1:31:35to exaggerate downloads back in the early days of audio only. Oh, buddy. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: And then someone came and regulated it.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Exactly. But it's not like we were all in on it. No, no, no.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: It was someone who was running because we're all kind
- 1:31:47of using the same audio thing. And I remember telling Brian,
- 1:31:50I'm like, do we have 30 million fucking audio? 30
- 1:31:52mil dude this month. And then Tom's like, yeah, I
- 1:31:55got 60. I'm like, dude, we're crushing it. And then
- 1:31:57someone came in. It was like, actually.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: Yeah. What it was doing was like every time someone
- 1:32:02clicked on it, it would count. So that like, I
- 1:32:05I'm talking completely. If they started, stopped it. Right. Counted
- 1:32:09over and over again as multiple listens. That's right. And
- 1:32:12I think they do that with other things too. Like,
- 1:32:15so you have to figure out like who the actual
- 1:32:17number of people, but people have been accused of, You
- 1:32:22could pay to get Instagram accounts. You can get followers.
- 1:32:27There's companies that will get you followers. I don't know
- 1:32:30if it's legit or legal, but I know for a
- 1:32:31fact that some people have done that.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: But doesn't Instagram in the background, doesn't YouTube, don't they
- 1:32:34try to shut that shit down?
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: They definitely do. millions of bots over the weekend 100
- 1:32:40and i i notice it sometimes i'll notice it well
- 1:32:42lose like a hundred thousand.
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: Yeah i lost a hundred thousand yeah but yeah.
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: There are bots 100 and there's a ton of them
- 1:32:48and they catch some of them but some of them
- 1:32:50are more sophisticated in their approach and then they adjust
- 1:32:53so once they realize what gets them caught you could
- 1:32:56run an ai program yeah so if you run an
- 1:32:58ai program and you have a like if you're in
- 1:33:00fucking singapore or wherever you're at doing this You could
- 1:33:03run an AI program that controls a bunch of different
- 1:33:07cell phones that has a bunch of different accounts. And
- 1:33:10you could have them even commenting on things. And you'll
- 1:33:13notice this sometimes. And they'll be programmed to comment positive
- 1:33:17or negative. And it seems like a fucking person, man.
- 1:33:21But you'll see that there's like a bunch of numbers
- 1:33:24after a couple of letters or a name like Bob567254.
- 1:33:29And then you see like, God, I don't think Bob's
- 1:33:31a person. And then you go to Bob's account and
- 1:33:33you're like, there's almost no chance that Bob's a person. Meanwhile,
- 1:33:37Bob's posting all the time and making comments on things
- 1:33:39all the time. And most likely what this is, is
- 1:33:43it's paid engagement. So it's not just paid views, but
- 1:33:47because of AI and because of programs you could run.
- 1:33:50There's the potential for paid engagement. Dialogue back and forth.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: Me and Sean were talking about before you got here.
- 1:33:55I don't know that you're aware of this, Joe. The
- 1:33:57streamers paying for the next level of what you're describing.
- 1:34:02So it's not AI doing it.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: Have you heard of Clippers? Yes.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: They're paying for– there's thousands of people that are just
- 1:34:06sitting around at home making a shitload of money.
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: A ton of money.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: And they're posting– Because you'll think certain people are bigger
- 1:34:14than they are.
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Like, man, I see them everywhere. It's like that's all
- 1:34:16by design. And you can pay for that too. So
- 1:34:19that's probably legal, right?
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: No? I mean, why would it– should it be?
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: Right. I mean it all depends on what are you–
- 1:34:29What are you doing? Are you getting money from it?
- 1:34:31Are you getting advertising revenue from it?
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: To your point, it's a false sense of fame. Because
- 1:34:37to your point with Armin, it's like, yeah, we know
- 1:34:38him and he's getting views online. But does that equal
- 1:34:42actual fans?
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: I think it reinforces the fans that already love him. Yes.
- 1:34:49And a few people are going to hop on board.
- 1:34:52But as far as your general casual that will tune
- 1:34:55in for a UFC fight card, no. Not necessarily. It's
- 1:35:00also a younger demo, right?
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: Have you ever watched a stream?
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: No. You're older than me. No, never watched a stream.
- 1:35:06I had a talk with a streaming company the other day.
- 1:35:07I'm like, do what? Wait, wait. You want me to
- 1:35:10seven days a week turn on.
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: A camera and air my breakfast and shit?
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: Like hanging out with my family? Well, the streaming thing
- 1:35:17is nuts where people just live online. First of all,
- 1:35:20how bad is that for your back? And you're just
- 1:35:22ranting and raving and talking online all day. Can't be good.
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: But then, like, you know, we love Rampage. Rampage does it,
- 1:35:28making stupid money.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but, you know, it's a good move for Rampage.
- 1:35:32You know, he's not fighting anymore. Yeah. It's a good move.
- 1:35:34Makes sense. And he's got the Jackson podcast. That's doing well.
- 1:35:38It's good for him to diversify, do a bunch of
- 1:35:40different things. He's crushing other. And he's also got a
- 1:35:42great personality. He's great. He's perfect for it. Perfect for that.
- 1:35:45But some people, you know... It ain't their thing. Shouldn't
- 1:35:49be doing that. But streaming is like the biggest thing. Yeah, Jamie? Yeah.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: I get me sound old as fuck.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: We're old. Yeah. Also, that's live. You know, it's also
- 1:35:58it's like, what are you doing with your life? I
- 1:36:02got things to do. I know. I can't sit in
- 1:36:05front of the camera for five hours a day. I
- 1:36:06don't understand how anybody does it.
- 1:36:08Speaker 3: But also, is it that entertaining? Like, my life's not
- 1:36:11fucking lit 24 hours a day.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: Well, they talk a lot of shit on camera, and
- 1:36:14then they watch a bunch of things and react to things.
- 1:36:16There's a lot of that. Like, for a lot of them, like,
- 1:36:19for our channel, there was a lot of people that
- 1:36:21were making a living just going on Twitch and these
- 1:36:25other channels, these other streaming things. Streaming your shit? Streaming
- 1:36:28my show and commenting on it. Like reaction videos. Yeah,
- 1:36:31getting mad about things we said. But they were doing
- 1:36:34it through the– they were playing the whole show out.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: Yeah. That's illegal. Well, it was very shady. It was
- 1:36:40very weird because they were commenting on it. But it
- 1:36:43was like your entire content was based on my content
- 1:36:46and your reaction to my content. But it's weird. You're
- 1:36:51dunking on me or you're pumping me up or whatever
- 1:36:54you're doing. There was a lot of that going on.
- 1:36:57And so then there's a lot of people that are watching.
- 1:36:59whether it's Mr. Beast's show and commenting on that or
- 1:37:01other shows and commenting on that. So they're watching stuff online.
- 1:37:04Someone will send them a video of a guy getting
- 1:37:06in a street fight to comment on that. Yeah. It's
- 1:37:08reaction videos. And they're interacting with all these people that
- 1:37:11are in the comments. And they're making money off of it. Yeah,
- 1:37:14and they're talking to these people that are in the comments.
- 1:37:16It's weird. First of all, if you think that social
- 1:37:19media is bad for your mental health. Oh, my God.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: Dude, yesterday I was driving down. I dropped my kids off,
- 1:37:25and I was going somewhere. I was going to this–
- 1:37:28This car shop. My truck's in the shop. And I
- 1:37:31was driving my father-in-law's car. And I see a high
- 1:37:33school bus. Lake Travis High School. I live right by
- 1:37:35Lake Travis. I see a Lake Travis High School bus
- 1:37:37pull up. I just look over.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Every single kid. Staring at their phone. On their phone. Yep.
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: Not talking to each other.
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: No.
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: It bummed me out so fucking bad. I know.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: It's weird.
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: You know the fun we used to have on that bus?
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: I know. And no one's talking to each other. I know.
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: The bus is silent. I'm like, God, you guys are
- 1:37:55doing it wrong. Well, it's not just doing it wrong.
- 1:37:57I want to jump on that bus and be like, hey, listen,
- 1:37:58I know I'm the old dude. You guys are fucking
- 1:38:00up right now.
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: Well, you're right, but it is also where human beings
- 1:38:05are headed. We're headed into this weird world of the
- 1:38:09digital world, and this is the first steps. These are
- 1:38:11the first steps we're taking by staring into a phone
- 1:38:13all day. But we know it's not good.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: No, it's not good.
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: So we're just going to continue to go down this
- 1:38:18shit road?
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: You don't think there's anything we can do?
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: Nope.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Nope.
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: People are addicted. They're 100% addicted to their phone. I
- 1:38:25don't see anything changing. I think if anything, it's going
- 1:38:29to get more. invasive and then it's probably I mean
- 1:38:35who knows just guessing what the next technology is going
- 1:38:37to be but as this technology moves forward it's going
- 1:38:41to get more invasive. It's going to get more you're
- 1:38:44going to interact with more people through whatever the fuck
- 1:38:48it is. However they're going to do it, whether it's
- 1:38:50going to be some new tech that lets you communicate
- 1:38:53with people with a headset and you're reading each other's
- 1:38:56minds or whether you're hanging out together in augmented reality
- 1:39:01or virtual reality.
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: And you don't think anybody is like, man, we're heading
- 1:39:02down a terrible road.
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: They're not going to. No one is going to. They're
- 1:39:04going to keep doing it. Just too much money? No,
- 1:39:06it's just everyone is addicted and everyone uses it for
- 1:39:09too many things. It's also a primary source of news
- 1:39:11and information. I get all my like ideas– about like
- 1:39:18how the world is working from social media not not
- 1:39:22social media commentary but social media stories well someone will
- 1:39:26post like this is going on in iran this is
- 1:39:28going on here i get it off social media i
- 1:39:30get it off x but you have to pick and
- 1:39:32choose and what you pay attention to right yes dicey
- 1:39:35and you got to find people that are not full
- 1:39:37of shit and not click engagement because there's a lot
- 1:39:40of click a lot of just clickbait bullshit majority is
- 1:39:42yeah there's a lot of that but You also find
- 1:39:44breaking news and you also find things that you wouldn't
- 1:39:47know about, you know, like certain stories and certain things
- 1:39:51that are happening in the news and certain really crazy stories.
- 1:39:55They're like, how am I not hearing about this? This
- 1:39:57is– this should be fucking huge.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: But you don't think it's going to be like– and
- 1:40:01I know we have to use it. You don't think
- 1:40:02it's going to be kind of like cigarettes like in
- 1:40:04the 60s where everyone was doing it and then eventually–
- 1:40:07The parents of those kids– I'm sorry. The children of
- 1:40:09those parents go, what the– this is so bad for you?
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: If it was a substance, I would agree.
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: But it's addictive.
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: It is addictive. But the problem is it's all facets
- 1:40:19of your life. It is your calendar. It is your email.
- 1:40:22It is how you take pictures and all your memories.
- 1:40:25It is how you interact with a lot of people.
- 1:40:27There's a lot of people. I don't even have their
- 1:40:28phone numbers. I just– they DM me and I DM them.
- 1:40:31I have friendships with people that are just DMs. So
- 1:40:36it's– there's that. But that's basically the problem is that
- 1:40:42it's a giant part of the world now where cigarettes
- 1:40:45never really were. We're relying on it. Yeah. You could–
- 1:40:47there was a bunch of people who didn't smoke. Even
- 1:40:49when people smoked cigarettes– like let's look this up. Throw
- 1:40:54this into perplexity, young Jamie, please. During the height of
- 1:40:58smoking in the United States, what percentage of adults smoked?
- 1:41:02Let's guess. God, back in the– Back in the day,
- 1:41:05whenever it was the nuttiest, like in the 50s or whatever,
- 1:41:09I think it was 50%. That'd be high, right? Crazy high. 30%?
- 1:41:13Crazy high. I was thinking like 33%. But it might
- 1:41:17be higher because those old days, man, everybody had a
- 1:41:20cigarette in their hand. Johnny Carson Show. Everyone. Yeah. People
- 1:41:24walking on the street. Smoke on planes. Smoke on buses.
- 1:41:26Smoke on trains.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: Everybody was walking down the street smoking. But what percentage
- 1:41:30of those people were doing it?
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: Okay. 40 to 45. Wow. In the mid-1960s, the height
- 1:41:38of cigarette use in the U.S., roughly 40 to 45%
- 1:41:42of adults smoked, which works out to the order of
- 1:41:4480 to 90 million adults.
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: That's a shit ton.
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: That's incredible. That's incredible. American Lung Association summary notes that
- 1:41:52adult smoking has fallen from around 40 to 43% in
- 1:41:551965 to about 11 to 12% in 2022. I think
- 1:41:56it's back. I think people are smoking it. Really?
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: I feel like it's lower.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: I think people are smoking. I see it a lot now.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: Just outlawed it in San Francisco. Outside.
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: That's gay.
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: That's San Francisco. That's gay. That makes sense. The San
- 1:42:13Francisco tree. Well, you hear what they're doing in the UK?
- 1:42:17If you were born before or after a certain date,
- 1:42:21you can't buy cigarettes when you turn 21.
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: Just to stop people from- Exactly.
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: So people that were born in like fucking whatever year,
- 1:42:32whatever year they set it at, when they turn 21,
- 1:42:34they will not be able to buy cigarettes.
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: Just trying to eliminate cigarettes.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: But you'll be able to buy cigarettes because you were
- 1:42:39born at a different time. They say, oh, you're retarded.
- 1:42:41You don't know any better. You can buy cigarettes.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: That's so stupid.
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: It's communism. It's socialism.
- 1:42:46Speaker 3: Didn't they just run out the fucking– was it prime
- 1:42:49minister or the fuck they called him?
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: He's still there. I thought they ran him out to
- 1:42:51bring somebody else in. They probably want to. They want to. Yeah,
- 1:42:54but the point is it's like that kind of woke socialism.
- 1:42:58It's like it's the government telling you what to do.
- 1:43:01When I say communism, I don't mean like they take
- 1:43:04all your money because they'll definitely do that eventually too.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: But what they do is they tell you what you
- 1:43:08can say. Correct. They tell you what you can do.
- 1:43:10They tell you what medications you have to take. It's
- 1:43:12all socialized medicine. They tell you what to do and
- 1:43:16what to say and how to think. And they're going
- 1:43:18to protect you. Protecting someone from cigarettes while you're selling
- 1:43:22them alcohol is fucking bananas. So dumb. It's bananas. It's dumb.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: But England's lost their way, man.
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: They've lost their way. Identity, it's a fucking shit show. Well,
- 1:43:32they're arresting people like crazy for posting on social media
- 1:43:36about the immigration crisis, primarily. Also other things, but criticizing
- 1:43:41the government. And now they threw away jury trials for
- 1:43:44those things. So now it's a judge. And so you
- 1:43:47don't even get people like you, your peers, to sit
- 1:43:50there and go, no, this fucking guy shouldn't go to jail.
- 1:43:52His daughter got attacked by some immigrants and he said
- 1:43:55some wild shit about immigrants and No, he shouldn't be
- 1:43:58in jail for that.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: But my thing– like what's the agenda? Just to ruin–
- 1:44:02just ruin the fucking– Control.
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: So shrink you down to 15-minute cities. They're implementing that
- 1:44:08in part of the UK. The other thing is a
- 1:44:10digital credit system, right? So a digital credit score, a
- 1:44:15social score and some sort of centralized digital currency, which
- 1:44:20I think we're probably– they're probably going to try to
- 1:44:22move us all into eventually. But If they can attach
- 1:44:25your social credit score with this digital currency, then you
- 1:44:29have what they have in China. So in China, if
- 1:44:31you fuck up and you do something stupid, guess what, fuckface?
- 1:44:35You can't buy a plane ticket. That's wild.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: You can't get a loan.
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: You can't get a house.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: And it keeps people in line. And then the government
- 1:44:43can do its job without protests. Dude, can I piss
- 1:44:45real quick? Let's piss. I've had two fucking energy drinks.
- 1:44:48We'll be right back, folks.
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: Ah.
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: And we're back. So much better.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: It's hard to concentrate when you have to piss. Bro,
- 1:44:54you were talking. I was like, oh, man. I don't
- 1:44:56want to hear this.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: I don't want to piss my pants.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: What were we talking about? Let's talk about your show.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: We have Cigar Brother?
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: Hold on. Dude, last time I smoked it backwards, I
- 1:45:07got roasted so hard online.
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: I know. I didn't notice.
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: I didn't notice, but maybe I just smoke them backwards
- 1:45:14from now on.
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: Switch it up. It is funny, though. But it's really
- 1:45:20the same. It's just where the label is.
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: What are these? I'm a rebel. Smoke it backwards. You
- 1:45:27are a rebel. There you go, fella. Thanks, brother. Here's
- 1:45:33the clipper. You know how this works.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: Make sure you clip the right spot. That one. There
- 1:45:40you go. Yeah. This cigar is different because it's not
- 1:45:44a torpedo like the other one. So the other one.
- 1:45:47You could get more confused because both ends were pointy.
- 1:45:50Do you know how to do that? Yeah. Do you
- 1:45:51need help? No, I got a big time.
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: No, I'm... Dude, you know how many cigars I've smoked?
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: Only in here. Oh, you light it.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: So your show. So your show is on 2B.
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: 2B.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: Hey, so light this part, right? Well, no, but this part.
- 1:46:13Which part? Yeah, light that part.
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: It's fucking.
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: Tricky, right?
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: No?
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: No. Just retarded? Yeah. Light the part that you didn't cut.
- 1:46:28What is it called? What's your show called? Gary Head's
- 1:46:30Gone Wild.
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: Just like Girls Gone Wild. Same text and everything. Is
- 1:46:37that a problem? No, hell no.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: That guy's, I think, on the lam in Mexico. I
- 1:46:42think we're good.
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: Is he really?
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: Is he hiding? Yeah, I think so.
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: Either way, we're good. Didn't he get, like, kidnapped and
- 1:46:48they fucking sodomized him?
- 1:46:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. It turned out pretty sad for him. Yeah,
- 1:46:55it's a car. I mean, it's shit we would be
- 1:46:58doing anyways, you know? And then they wanted to make
- 1:47:00a TV show out of it. So, like, I went
- 1:47:02to Calvo, Calvo Vipers. He scared the shit out of me.
- 1:47:06Calvo Vipers. I went to the biggest Porsche collection in Austin.
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with Safari Porsches, man. Oh, you like those?
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: God.
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: Those off-road ones? I think Russell makes them. Russell.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: I forget the exact name, but Russell does it.
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: I don't know what the fuck it is. When it's an.
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: Off-road, just that vibe, I don't know what it is, dude.
- 1:47:27I fucking love them, man.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: Why do you love the off-road ones? I don't know.
- 1:47:30I don't know. Is there a dirt track where you
- 1:47:32could take a Porsche off-road car to? Oh, I'm sure. Where?
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: Especially in California, like Johnson Valley and all that shit.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: But out here, there's places out here people have been
- 1:47:43hitting me up about.
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: Right, but when you go off-roading generally, you're going off-roading
- 1:47:48with a truck where you can bounce over rocks and shit.
- 1:47:52You can't really do that in an off-road Porsche. That's
- 1:47:54like more for those crazy mountain roads that are in
- 1:47:57the dirt. Yeah, that's a Jakar, right?
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: Russell Bilt Fab.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: Ooh, that's dope looking. Dude, some dad had one at
- 1:48:03the baseball game. That's a 993? Yeah. Oh, wow. So
- 1:48:07they took a 993 and ooh, that's pretty. It's my
- 1:48:13favorite thing in the world.
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: Wow. I don't know why.
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: Look at the wheel wells. That's crazy.
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: Daily driver, too. You know what? I have a fucking
- 1:48:22problem with those extra front headlights. They stick on the hood.
- 1:48:26I do not like them. I think it fucks up
- 1:48:29the lines of the car. Agreed.
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: Because you could put those on that front there. Ugh.
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: Just take them off. What are you doing? Driving at
- 1:48:36night in the dark? Shut the fuck up, bitch. You
- 1:48:38ain't really off-road. I mean, you're off-roading, but you're not
- 1:48:41in the woods. Oh, don't get twisted. At nighttime.
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: Like all my trucks. I have that Ram 2500 AEV.
- 1:48:47That thing's never seen the dirt.
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: Right, but that's different. That's a truck that looks fine
- 1:48:51with the extra lights on it and shit. A Porsche?
- 1:48:54I agree. I think it's like whenever I see those
- 1:48:56old 911s, like the 1972s, and they have those extra
- 1:49:00headlights on the hood, I'm like, ew, what are you doing?
- 1:49:03You're ruining the lines of one of the most beautiful creations.
- 1:49:07It's like a bad set of fake tits. You're like,
- 1:49:08what are you doing? No, it's like extra fake tits.
- 1:49:10It's like you've got two fake tits on your fucking, yeah.
- 1:49:15You get some fucking collarbone tits. Like, get those out
- 1:49:19of there. They don't belong there. More is not always better.
- 1:49:23And the shape of a Porsche, especially those long nose Porsches. Oh,
- 1:49:27it's so beautiful. The best. And when you have dumbass
- 1:49:30fucking headlights on the hood, like, get that. It's just
- 1:49:32not meant to be. Yeah. Get out of here. Yeah,
- 1:49:34I like different shit.
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: I don't like... I agree. Those headlights do fuck up
- 1:49:38the lines.
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: But like.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: I'm just into different shit. I like when they swap
- 1:49:42the LSs in the Porsches, too.
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: That's dope.
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: Just the sound. That chop.
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't know. It's shit like that, man.
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: I like those. A lot of people think that's heretics.
- 1:49:54That's like, oh, my God. You should go to jail
- 1:49:56for that. You got a water-cooled LS engine in a Porsche.
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: Bro, this guy's like, he's the head guy for Porsche driving.
- 1:50:04He's driving me around. And I go, man, you ever
- 1:50:06driven one of those LS Porsches?
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: And he was like. What the fuck did you just say?
- 1:50:09And I'm like, you don't get down with those? He's like, fuck.
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah, those are gay.
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: So gay. No, they're awesome.
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I just like different shit, man.
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Rutledge Wood had one of those. He had one
- 1:50:22of those, what's the fucking Japanese cat that does the
- 1:50:26Y bodies? Oh, I know what you're talking about. I
- 1:50:28saw him. RWB? Yes. Yeah. He had one of those
- 1:50:32with an LS in it. It was pretty sick. And
- 1:50:35there's companies that do that.
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: They're sick. And it sounds incredible. It sounds like an
- 1:50:40American muscle car. But yet it's in a car that's
- 1:50:42like 2,000 pounds.
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: Dude, and all I do is search Facebook Marketplace for
- 1:50:47RS Swap Porsches. God, you can get some good deals
- 1:50:49because no one really wants them.
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: Isn't that crazy? Yeah. Because everybody wants the air-cooled. Because
- 1:50:54the air-cooled has that raspy brrr. They are the best.
- 1:50:58It's a wild. Air-cooled is great. It's a wild sound.
- 1:51:00That air-cooled sound is a wild sound.
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: As I'm getting older, too, it's like, you know, I've
- 1:51:04had trucks with 1,400 horsepower.
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: I've had cars with 1,100 horsepower.
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: And then if you just get an old-school Porsche air-cooled
- 1:51:14with 250 horsepower manual. So fun.
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: It's all you need, dude. They're so fun. As you
- 1:51:19get older, you're like, oh, why am I chasing this
- 1:51:21fucking horsepower? Yeah, because it's just about driving enjoyment. It's
- 1:51:25not about, you're not racing it.
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: No.
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: You're not on a track. Oh, dude.
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: I knew I had issues when I was driving my
- 1:51:31kid to his fucking baseball game and my car was
- 1:51:35running hot. My TRX, the 1400 horsepower, was running hot.
- 1:51:37I converted to twin turbo, Hellcat engine. It's running on
- 1:51:43E85 fuel. There's no E85 out there. I'm in the
- 1:51:45middle of fucking dripping springs. I had to pull over
- 1:51:47on the side of the road because the engine was smoking.
- 1:51:50I just went, what the fuck am I doing, man?
- 1:51:53Who am I doing this for? It's not like I'm
- 1:51:54taking it to the track. Who am I doing this for?
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: Well, a Hennessey has 1,000, and you can drive it everywhere. Yeah,
- 1:52:01that's probably the way to do it. Hennessey TRX or
- 1:52:03a Hennessey Raptor.
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: I almost bought one of those, and then I got
- 1:52:07that AV Ram, and I linked up with Diesel R,
- 1:52:10and we're doing a Randy's transmission. I got a freaking
- 1:52:13stealth bigger turbo on there, fast fuel system.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: Oh, bro. Let me get my pants off.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: I don't know if you're into that stuff.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: But I'm picking it up today. It's finally done, dude.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: Ooh, that sounds fun. Oh, dude, I can't fucking wait.
- 1:52:26That sounds fun. Yeah. So the idea is you're just
- 1:52:31driving around, going to different places, having people do different
- 1:52:34things with cars. Yeah. Check out what people are doing,
- 1:52:38different mods they're doing.
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's like that old school car shows that
- 1:52:43we grew up on. You'll throw up facts about Porsches
- 1:52:45or about the car. It'll just pop up with that stuff.
- 1:52:48And that's like our boys, like Gordon Ryan was on
- 1:52:50there with his TRX.
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: He has like 120,000 miles on it.
- 1:52:54Speaker 2: Does he really? Dude, that thing's so busted up, but
- 1:52:57he just drives it every day.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: He off-roads it.
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: He just.
- 1:53:01Speaker 3: We go in his car. I'm like, dude, I said... No, Gordon,
- 1:53:03I'm going to tell you the same thing I tell
- 1:53:05everybody when I get in the car with him. I
- 1:53:07know it's for TV. I don't need you to show off.
- 1:53:09Nobody's trying to get hurt.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: He's like, I got you, man. And was just fucking
- 1:53:12ripping this thing, dude. I'm like, I flipped one of
- 1:53:14these things, man. It ain't fun, bud. It ain't fun.
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: But it's... Yeah, just shit we like, you know? And
- 1:53:20then someone's like, you want to do a TV show
- 1:53:21with them?
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, let's ride, man. It's interesting how much
- 1:53:24that's a male thing. There are women that are into cars,
- 1:53:27but I don't know any women. I mean, I'm sure
- 1:53:30they're out there, but I don't know any women that
- 1:53:31are into cars the way we're into cars.
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: No. No.
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: Some of them, some of them like cars. They're into some,
- 1:53:39but like for me, it's like, that is one of
- 1:53:41the one things about having some money that is worth it.
- 1:53:46Like I always tell people, Having a nice house is great.
- 1:53:49It is great. There's definitely nothing wrong with having a
- 1:53:51nice house. But after a while, it just becomes your house. Yes.
- 1:53:54And if you're in a humble house that has a
- 1:53:57nice kitchen and a big TV and a couch and
- 1:53:58a nice bed to sleep on. You're set. You're kind
- 1:54:01of set. Yeah. Like the difference in the way you
- 1:54:03feel when you're home versus a nice house is not
- 1:54:07much different. Agreed. The difference in driving a nice car
- 1:54:11is like you are taking a ride to work. You
- 1:54:15are at Disneyland.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: You would wait in line to get in that car.
- 1:54:19And you're boom, boom. And you're fucking shifting your own
- 1:54:22gears and boom, boom. Woo! It's fun. And the shit
- 1:54:27you have, dude. It's excitement.
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: I live through you because, you know, obviously we're in
- 1:54:30different tax brackets. You know, I got to do my
- 1:54:32thing on Facebook Marketplace and shit. I picked up tires
- 1:54:35the other day. He goes, holy shit, Brendan Shaw buys
- 1:54:37tires off Facebook Marketplace?
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: I go, yeah, dude.
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: Who doesn't want a fucking deal, man? Put those in
- 1:54:41the back for me, dude. But yeah, you got one
- 1:54:45of those Porsche.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: I think it's your Gunther Porsche. Yes. And you took
- 1:54:48a picture.
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: You're like, dude, I'll just sit in my garage and
- 1:54:50stare at it. I'm like, dude, I've never.
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: I do. I stare at it sometimes. I sit in
- 1:54:54the garage and look at it.
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: Oh, it's a fucking piece of art, man. Yeah, all
- 1:54:58carbon fiber. Dude, when I see that type of Porsche,
- 1:55:02like the Gunther work, Or I'll see a certain car.
- 1:55:05I'm just like, I can't even describe the, it's like, fuck, dude.
- 1:55:11That is so sick. Yeah.
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: Do you see the Gunther Works made a twin turbo
- 1:55:16slant nose? I sent it to you. Peter Nam sent
- 1:55:20it to me too. The owner of the company sent
- 1:55:22it to me. Oh, you know him? Yeah. Well, I
- 1:55:24bought it off him. I bought one off him. Not that.
- 1:55:26Not the slant nose. I didn't know if you were
- 1:55:27dealing with customer service. No, I deal with Peter. He's awesome.
- 1:55:31But that's it. That car is insane. They raced that
- 1:55:35one against a GT3 RS and it buried it. Buried
- 1:55:40the GT3 RS. Buried it. Yeah. They did some rolling
- 1:55:45race from 30 miles an hour and literally it just
- 1:55:49shot ahead like the other car was parked. 1,067 horsepower?
- 1:55:53It's nothing. It weighs nothing. What does it weigh? Please
- 1:55:58search what does the slant-nose Gunther Works weigh. Because their
- 1:56:03carbon fiber.
- 1:56:04Speaker 3: 100%.
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: Their carbon fiber. 2,000 something. Yeah. Yeah, I bet it's
- 1:56:11about 2,400 pounds. 2,700.
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: 27.
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: So it's close. But the engine's probably super heavy. I
- 1:56:19don't know if it's super heavy, but there's a lot
- 1:56:20of jazz in there. But what engine?
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: Is it the? Um, I think it's a liter twin
- 1:56:27turbo flat six.
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's air cooled, which is so nuts. A
- 1:56:33thousand horsepower flat six air cooled engine is crazy.
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: Brother and people, everyone, like you talked to anyone, like
- 1:56:42I want a thousand horsepower. You think you want a
- 1:56:45thousand horsepower. Now it's not like your ZRX. It's not
- 1:56:48like that. Like if you buy it or like at
- 1:56:50my Demon 170.
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: From the factory. From the factory, you're good.
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: When you have a TRX or your Corvette or, you know,
- 1:56:58I've had other trucks, my Ford Lightning. If you're reaching 1,000 horsepower, buddy,
- 1:57:02you think you want those problems. You do not.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: It's a fucking nightmare.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: And then also.
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: Every week.
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: I was in the shop. Call them, buddy, doing something.
- 1:57:11I'm like, this is exhausting. Well, this won't be like that.
- 1:57:14Like the Gunther Works ones are reliable. I've never had
- 1:57:16a problem with them.
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: No, those are great.
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: But the question is, does that have any traction control?
- 1:57:21Hopefully not. Like, Jamie, could you please look up whether
- 1:57:27or not these new Gunther Works Porsches have traction control?
- 1:57:30I don't know how they can do that now. I
- 1:57:33know that there's like a computer thing that you could buy.
- 1:57:36Is Gunther's in California? Yeah.
- 1:57:38Speaker 3: Where are they at?
- 1:57:38Speaker 2: I believe so.
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: 99% sure they were in California.
- 1:57:41Speaker 3: Dude, you should connect me with him because I'd love
- 1:57:43to do an episode with him.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: A wooden shift knob pays tribute to the Porsche's motorsport carriage.
- 1:57:47Modern electronics like motorsports grade ABS and traction control. Oh, okay. Well,
- 1:57:53that's good. It's nice that it has ABS, too. That's dope.
- 1:57:56That's really dope. You're going to need it. You're going
- 1:57:59to need it. But see if you can find the
- 1:58:01race between the GT3 RS and the slant nose. Bro,
- 1:58:05it is... Hilarious.
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: And the sound it makes is orgasmic. I can't imagine
- 1:58:11how much that thing is. Wonderful. Oh, it's got to
- 1:58:12be a million dollars. Yeah. Here's my problem with Porsche.
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: Even 20 years ago, my very first car I bought
- 1:58:20when I had money, I got it from a podcast.
- 1:58:21This was 15 years ago. I bought just your base 911.
- 1:58:25Went to the Porsche dealer, bought a base 911. I
- 1:58:28could afford it. It was, I don't know, 80 grand.
- 1:58:31Now Porsche has become– it's almost like what Ferrari was
- 1:58:3510 years ago where just the base Porsche is so expensive, man.
- 1:58:40It's pricing out their market. So now it's become– and
- 1:58:43we've been on Porsche for how long? Like we've always
- 1:58:45talked about Porsche.
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: Forever.
- 1:58:46Speaker 3: It's our shit.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: Watch this. Oh, my God.
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: It's Top Gear.
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: Oh, it's Top Gear. Yeah. Top Gear is great. Great channel.
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:58:54Speaker 2: So these guys, they do a rolling start. I guess
- 1:58:56they did a rolling start because they didn't want to
- 1:58:58dump the clutch on this million-dollar car. Watch this when
- 1:59:02they get to 30. Look at that interior, dude. Watch this.
- 1:59:06Speaker 1: Go.
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: Bro. It's not even fucking close. It's not even close.
- 1:59:16It's not even close. That's insane. And the GT3 RS
- 1:59:21is a fast car. Fast motherfucking car. But this was
- 1:59:25not his car. Obviously, this is someone else's car that
- 1:59:28they're letting him test. And so whoever bought that car
- 1:59:32and spent a million dollars on it. How much did
- 1:59:34they cost?
- 1:59:34Speaker 3: 1.2.
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: 1.2 million dollars.
- 1:59:39Speaker 3: Yeah, again, that's my only issue with Porsche now is
- 1:59:41because if you want a GT3 RS, they're so expensive now, man.
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: Well, people flip them. A lot of people flip them
- 1:59:48because they're really hard to get, too. A lot of
- 1:59:51demand for them. Yeah, it's tough.
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: Back in the day, even if you're a Porsche, you
- 1:59:55could start somewhere and you'd be okay. And now it's
- 1:59:57almost like Ferrari where it's unattainable for a lot of people.
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: Well, you know what a lot of people are doing?
- 2:00:01It's $ 400, 000 more.
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: It's $ 1.
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: 6 million.
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: That car is? $ 1. 6 is crazy. Worth every penny.
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: If you got that loot. If you got that loot.
- 2:00:10Please buy it. One of the things that people are
- 2:00:12doing is taking that lighter weight Porsche 911T. Yes. You
- 2:00:16know the T?
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: And they're taking that and juicing it up to like
- 2:00:21700 plus horsepower and putting some mods on it. Now
- 2:00:25you're talking my language. Yeah, because you can do that
- 2:00:27for way less than it would cost you to buy
- 2:00:29a twin turbo.
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: And you're getting the same kind of speed, but you're
- 2:00:32also getting rear wheel drive.
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: And you can get them for pretty, I don't want
- 2:00:37to say cheap, but cheaper. Cheaper.
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: It's so tough, man, to get some of those. Like
- 2:00:42the GT3 RSs, you got to be allocated. Or it's
- 2:00:45like 150 over markup. It's tough these days in the
- 2:00:47Porsche business. They're crushing it. It's good for them. But again,
- 2:00:51for my kids, hopefully they're fortunate enough where they're making
- 2:00:54good money. But it's going to be really tough to
- 2:00:57get into Porsche, man.
- 2:00:59Speaker 2: Porsche has become the marquee. When back in the day,
- 2:01:03it wasn't that.
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: It wasn't.
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: No. It used to be much more affordable. It was
- 2:01:08the more affordable supercar and a daily driving supercar. But
- 2:01:13the market– and it's also things change, right? Because now
- 2:01:16everything is twin turbo. They're all twin turbo.
- 2:01:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: Unless you buy a GT3, they're twin turbo.
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: I think, too, one of the reasons I went away
- 2:01:25from Exotic because, I mean, I even modded my GT2 RS.
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: Like, I'm an idiot.
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: But it loses value in them.
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: When you mod them. When you mod them. It fucks
- 2:01:34them up.
- 2:01:35Speaker 3: And I just can't leave anything alone. So that's why
- 2:01:38I went so heavy into American shit because, you know,
- 2:01:40the C6s, all the American stuff, you can mod the
- 2:01:44fuck out of. And there's a market there. You're not
- 2:01:46losing your ass. And they're cheaper to mod. Like, when
- 2:01:49I would mod a Ferrari, buddy. exhaust, whatever the fuck turbos.
- 2:01:53If you want to do a tune, it's a fucking nightmare, man.
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: Nightmare. Well, it's all to me, it's all about enjoyment. Right.
- 2:02:02And so like, what do you, what do you, what
- 2:02:04are you getting out of it? If you're not like
- 2:02:06racing it and trying to go around corners sideways and
- 2:02:09fucking correcting. And you're not really doing that with most cars.
- 2:02:13You're just enjoying it when you're driving it. And for me,
- 2:02:15I love the feel of a V8. Like, I have
- 2:02:20one of those Shelby Super Snakes.
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: It's a six-speed. Did you get the Super Snake R?
- 2:02:26It hasn't got it yet. It's on the way. Whee!
- 2:02:29I fucking love that car because it's a modern muscle car.
- 2:02:34Driving it is like driving an old-school muscle car, but
- 2:02:37it's all modern and perfect, starts every time, interior's great.
- 2:02:41Love that car. And it's just the fun of just
- 2:02:44driving normal speed. Just normal speed. Just driving to work.
- 2:02:48Not speeding.
- 2:02:48Speaker 3: Just.
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: You feel like you're doing something fun. It's exciting.
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: Do you get that same excitement in your ZR1X?
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: No. No, it's not the same. The ZR1X is on
- 2:02:59another planet. It's a spaceship. I mean, it's the most
- 2:03:02capable car I've ever driven by far. Like, when I
- 2:03:05took the ZR1 around the racetrack, we drove it around Koda,
- 2:03:07I was like, this thing is crazy. Crazy. It's so fast,
- 2:03:11and it handles so well, and it gives you so
- 2:03:13much confidence. But it's different when you're not shifting your
- 2:03:18own gears. You're not using the clutch. It's all about that.
- 2:03:22The driving experience is about engagement. And if you're not
- 2:03:26using a manual, you're missing– you're going to have fun.
- 2:03:30Don't get me wrong. You get a Corvette, you're going
- 2:03:32to have a lot of fun. It's a great car.
- 2:03:33But shifting your own– they finally started making a gear,
- 2:03:39a manual transmission for the C8.
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: Really?
- 2:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Is the Grand Sport coming in a manual? I
- 2:03:46don't think it's going to be offered by Corvette. I
- 2:03:48don't know if there are in the future.
- 2:03:49Speaker 3: You can swap it in.
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: But you can buy one now. So see what the
- 2:03:52company is that does that. But it's a famous transmission
- 2:03:55company that's making a C8 manual transmission. And everybody saw
- 2:04:00that and were.
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: Like, oh.
- 2:04:02Speaker 3: Because that's the only knock I've heard on actual car
- 2:04:04guys with ZR1X. They go, fast as fuck. It's great.
- 2:04:08But it's kind of doing it for you. The drive's different.
- 2:04:11Like it's so.
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: It's a spaceship. It's a spaceship. You're Luke Skywalker. Yes.
- 2:04:17Does not offer a manual. Tremec. Okay. Tremec has developed
- 2:04:20a six speed manual that fits a C8. GM considers
- 2:04:24it not real for production. What does that mean? But
- 2:04:27Tremec makes it. But they make it. Yeah. Are they
- 2:04:29selling it? Is Tremec not selling it? Or did they
- 2:04:32make it just for funsies? I have no idea. Because
- 2:04:34Tremec made the transmission on my Supersnake. Tremec is great.
- 2:04:37They make the best transmissions.
- 2:04:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: Tremex new six-speed manual transactional opens the door for manual
- 2:04:42swap vets and other creations.
- 2:04:44Speaker 3: So you can do it.
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: This is what I would do. What I would do
- 2:04:49is get a Z06 and put a fucking manual in it.
- 2:04:55Now we're cooking.
- 2:04:55Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: Let's fucking go. Now you have literally the ultimate Corvette.
- 2:04:59I get that Z06 and that orange. There's no word
- 2:05:01yet on price timeline or who's going to cook up
- 2:05:03the software to tell the Corvette to cooperate with a
- 2:05:05three-pedal transmission. That is the problem. Because you're going to
- 2:05:08have to. And the ECU. Yeah.
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: That's a big problem.
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: Like, the biggest problem I've had is with the ECU.
- 2:05:15People don't realize, you know, the guys who do all
- 2:05:17the mods they do. But it's like, I got a
- 2:05:202024 Ram. And right away, I'm like, right, what mods
- 2:05:23am I going to do? I'm talking to Randy's Transmission, Banks.
- 2:05:26I'm talking to my boys at Diesel R. And they're like,
- 2:05:29you got a 2024? I'm like, yeah, what's up?
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: Low miles, man. They're like, oh, you fucked up. I'm like, why?
- 2:05:33Speaker 3: They're like, because 2024 and up? There's no way to
- 2:05:38unlock that ECU. Like you have, we have to find
- 2:05:41an ECU from a 2022 or earlier. And I'm like, okay,
- 2:05:45those can't be expensive. Oh, they're blood diamonds. Cause everybody
- 2:05:49wants that. You're looking at seven grand for unlocked ECU.
- 2:05:54And that's just the ECU. That's not at any power.
- 2:05:56That's just to get it. So you can add the power.
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That's crazy. And then Diesel R, they
- 2:06:01were like, dude, we have one. I'm like, no fucking way. Well,
- 2:06:04how about this new law that they just passed where
- 2:06:07your car is going to monitor you and then they're
- 2:06:10going to have a kill switch in your car? So
- 2:06:13to keep people from drinking and driving or if maybe
- 2:06:16they don't like what Brendan Shaw posted on Twitter, just
- 2:06:19fucking shut your car down. I think that's even more
- 2:06:23reason to buy old shit.
- 2:06:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:06:25Speaker 2: A lot of reason to buy old shit. Put that, please,
- 2:06:27into perplexity and ask them when this law is being
- 2:06:31passed and what the law entails. Because I've been hearing
- 2:06:36a lot of different versions of it. I want to
- 2:06:38know the exact version of it. It's going to pass
- 2:06:39in California first. Well, it's passed nationwide. And Thomas Massey
- 2:06:44voted against it. And I think Fetterman might have voted
- 2:06:47against it, too. I'm not sure. real federal mandate tied
- 2:06:52to 2027 model year cars. It's about impaired driving detection. Yeah,
- 2:06:57but this is how it starts. The problem is if
- 2:06:59it has a kill switch. Ask if it has a
- 2:07:02kill switch, if that's part of it.
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: I mean, it probably is going to be in here.
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: Right. Okay. Why people call it a kill switch? Because
- 2:07:11the system may be able to prevent the engine from
- 2:07:13starting or shut down performance if it decides you're impaired.
- 2:07:17So that's a kill switch. So that is great if
- 2:07:21you're preventing someone from drinking and driving. That is not
- 2:07:24great if you are Nick Fuentes and you're in your
- 2:07:28car and you're, you know.
- 2:07:30Speaker 3: But that's the Trojan horse. Like they get you in
- 2:07:31with that. It's for safety.
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 2:07:33Speaker 1: May is a key word in there.
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: May be able. Well, the thing about that is I
- 2:07:38think they already have that with the Corvette. I think
- 2:07:42with OnStar, if someone steals your car.
- 2:07:45Speaker 3: Correct.
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: They can shut it down. Right. That's the security. If
- 2:07:48you have a Corvette and Brendan Chubb is running from
- 2:07:51the law and you're trying to get to Canada. But
- 2:07:55can't they do that with your Teslas? That's probably, I mean,
- 2:07:59it's a computer. It's a computer. Of course they probably
- 2:08:01can do that. I'm really bummed out that Tesla's canceled
- 2:08:05the Model S. Jamie and I were just talking about
- 2:08:07it before the show. Oh, they could all go away
- 2:08:09and I wouldn't give two fucks. I know he's your boy,
- 2:08:11but I just don't care. Shut your mouth.
- 2:08:12Speaker 3: Do your thing.
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: I drive it all the time. I love it. With
- 2:08:14all the cars you have. I love it. That's the
- 2:08:16one thing I'm like. I love it. Listen, I love V8s. Look,
- 2:08:21I drove my Raptor here. The Raptor's badass.
- 2:08:24Speaker 1: A fanboy would say that it's just going to be
- 2:08:26replaced by that Roadster that they haven't shown yet.
- 2:08:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but the Roadster's a two-seater. My car is a four-seater,
- 2:08:33four-door car that goes zero to 60 in under two seconds.
- 2:08:37Speaker 3: But why would they get rid of it?
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: I've never had four people in my car.
- 2:08:40Speaker 2: You never what?
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: I've never had four people in my car.
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: Okay, so you haven't. So like the other day, I
- 2:08:46had to pick up my daughter because she was being driven,
- 2:08:50and the car they were driving got a flat, and
- 2:08:52I was on my way home at the exact same time,
- 2:08:54and I picked her up and her friends.
- 2:08:55Speaker 3: That's dope.
- 2:08:56Speaker 2: So I had three friends in the back seat, one
- 2:08:58in the front. Yeah. I got everybody in my car,
- 2:09:01no problem. I like having a four-door. I have a family.
- 2:09:05I know you're a single guy. Like, for you, a
- 2:09:06Roadster would be fine.
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: That's just a, you know.
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: Not for you.
- 2:09:10Speaker 1: It's a small little car anyway. I think the X
- 2:09:12is pretty dope, too. They also canceled the X.
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: That's just dope. Tiffany Haddish had one, and she showed
- 2:09:18me that it could dance in the parking lot. I
- 2:09:20remember seeing that video. I was like, this is crazy.
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: This is crazy.
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: I only do four.
- 2:09:24Speaker 3: I don't have anything two-door anymore because kiddos. I just
- 2:09:28try to create the most badass dad whip I can
- 2:09:30and it has to have four doors.
- 2:09:32Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I have two-door cars, but I always
- 2:09:35have to have a sedan. I like a sedan.
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: Your kids are older, though, too.
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: If I didn't have a Tesla and I had a sedan,
- 2:09:40what I would get is the Cadillac. The CT5V Blackwing.
- 2:09:44Let's go. And you can get a manual. You can
- 2:09:46get the new one. The F1 is only in manuals.
- 2:09:49The highest horsepower, 685. I don't know why I couldn't
- 2:09:54say that word. 685 horse. I know you do. We
- 2:09:58both suffer from marble mouth.
- 2:10:00Speaker 1: Brother.
- 2:10:00Speaker 2: 685 horsepower and it's only manual. Just take my fucking money, dude.
- 2:10:06I want an automatic if it's that. Manual sounds fun,
- 2:10:10but if you're driving all the time, it can get
- 2:10:11a little... Especially if you're living in LA. Yeah. Depending
- 2:10:15on where you're living. Jamie, that could be you, bud.
- 2:10:17We were just in New Jersey. Bro, that's you, Jamie.
- 2:10:19Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's a bad car. I'm just like,
- 2:10:22I'm going to drive it 10 miles a day.
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: It's an awesome 10 miles. Dude, the feeling in that
- 2:10:28car with the torque and the sound of the engine.
- 2:10:31Speaker 1: You can't go anywhere on it. 35 in traffic.
- 2:10:33Speaker 2: Give me some fucking volume. Let's hear this driving. Yeah, well,
- 2:10:38Jamie's not really a car guy.
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: I drive it to the golf course, but like once
- 2:10:44a week.
- 2:10:45Speaker 2: How much better you play? Look at that fucking car.
- 2:10:48We're all carbon around it. Let me hear it drive.
- 2:10:50Let me hear it drive. Here it is. Drive it, bitch.
- 2:10:52Let's go. Why would they do this to me? Why
- 2:11:00would you have a video of this and not have...
- 2:11:04You want to sell cars or not? Play it for me, please.
- 2:11:10Here it is. Just click that, though. That's the black one. Oh,
- 2:11:14there we go. Oh, my dick just got hard.
- 2:11:17Speaker 3: And we can spice that up, Jamie. You sent it
- 2:11:19to me for a day, bubba.
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: That's fine. The way it comes from the factory is fine.
- 2:11:25Speaker 3: You have to do a damn thing.
- 2:11:27Speaker 2: I know. You can get it really loud, but the
- 2:11:30thing is just that alone.
- 2:11:31Speaker 3: There we go.
- 2:11:32Speaker 2: Come on, dawg. Yeah. All right.
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: I mean, it's not bad.
- 2:11:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: He's in.
- 2:11:43Speaker 2: Yes. Dude, you don't understand. Oh, cammed up, baby. I feel. Oh,
- 2:11:49that's a cammed up one. That one's nuts. That's what
- 2:11:51you want. Oh, there's a lot of mods. Dudes jack
- 2:11:54those up above 1,000 all the time.
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: Oh, and it's going to get robbed out here then.
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: No, Bubba.
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: No, come on.
- 2:12:01Speaker 3: Where are you parking?
- 2:12:03Speaker 2: Do you want to get it or buy crack?
- 2:12:04Speaker 1: I don't drive anywhere.
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: Where's he going?
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: Come on.
- 2:12:06Speaker 2: Where's he going? He's buying crack. You live in a
- 2:12:08nice place. Are you buying crack?
- 2:12:10Speaker 3: She got covered parking.
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: You don't need it, but it's fine.
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: I just think of Gone in 60 Seconds. When you've
- 2:12:15got a dope car and people know you've got a
- 2:12:17dope car and you're seen driving that dope car, they're
- 2:12:19going to follow you in that dope car. Our friend,
- 2:12:22he got followed.
- 2:12:23Speaker 3: What's wrong with you two?
- 2:12:24Speaker 2: Oh, Julian?
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, shit's going to happen.
- 2:12:26Speaker 2: I don't need that.
- 2:12:27Speaker 1: I'm just going to have a fucking dope Tesla.
- 2:12:28Speaker 2: He was in Dallas buying tacos at 3 in the morning.
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: There's a million Teslas all over the place.
- 2:12:32Speaker 2: And he's got a Ferrari. A Ferrari is different than
- 2:12:35a Cadillac. Have you had any issues?
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: Especially out here.
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: You can catch an issue every now and then, but
- 2:12:41the thing about Texas is everybody's armed. You can't just
- 2:12:45roll up on someone and try to take their car.
- 2:12:46You're risking your fucking life.
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: It happened on 5th Street a block away from the
- 2:12:50club not too long ago. Right in front of Eddie B's.
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: People get carjacked in every city. That's a fact.
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: Not where I live.
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: Come on over to the Burbs, dude. So you think
- 2:12:58if you have one of them Cybertruck So supposedly Cybertruck
- 2:13:06is coming out with an SUV.
- 2:13:07Speaker 1: Maybe. I don't know.
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: Allegedly. That'd be cool. Elon won't tell me. He won't
- 2:13:11tell me shit. He won't tell you? I got a
- 2:13:13big fucking mouth.
- 2:13:14Speaker 1: There's numbers online. People have showed things, but we don't
- 2:13:16really know.
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: What have they showed?
- 2:13:18Speaker 1: Potential. It looks a little bit like the mix between
- 2:13:21an X and a Cybertruck.
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: See, that would be a smart move for them to
- 2:13:25make a Cybertruck that's an SUV. It's a smart move
- 2:13:29because you already have the shape. Just instead of having
- 2:13:31the pickup truck part where no one's using. Yeah, extend
- 2:13:34the seats. Yeah, have the seats back more. And you
- 2:13:37could even shorten the wheelbase a little bit and make
- 2:13:39it like one of them smaller Cadillac SUVs. You could.
- 2:13:43Speaker 3: Or you could just say fuck all that noise and
- 2:13:45get a Hellcat Durango because Stellantis does– Hellcat's back, baby.
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: Those are pretty dope. Hellcat, Durango.
- 2:13:52Speaker 3: The Godfather of the Hellcat, Tim, is back running fucking Dodge.
- 2:13:55Speaker 2: Yes. Thank God. Thank fucking God. Dodge is crushing it.
- 2:13:59They got silly with that electric thing. They had some
- 2:14:01French guy running it. Is that what it was?
- 2:14:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and he killed all- He hates America. Facts.
- 2:14:04Speaker 2: That's what it was. Boom. He wanted to destroy America.
- 2:14:07Speaker 3: Facts.
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: I want Poiton to beat Serogon. It was like the
- 2:14:12most iconic- American like V8 powered cars were Dodge. Dodge Viper. Well,
- 2:14:19that's a V10. Dodge Viper. You had, but just big engines, right?
- 2:14:24You had, you know, gasoline engines. You had, of course,
- 2:14:27the Challenger, Challenger Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye. They crushed it. Crushed it.
- 2:14:32Are they going to discontinue the Challenger?
- 2:14:34Speaker 3: No, they're coming out with a gas Challenger. So they
- 2:14:37fucked up and came out with a Challenger.
- 2:14:39Speaker 2: All electric, and a charger.
- 2:14:40Speaker 3: Wasn't it a charger? And a Challenger, too. They did both, right?
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: You can't change.
- 2:14:46Speaker 3: They're coming out with a charger that's gas powered.
- 2:14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the charger's dope. I've seen some reviews of it.
- 2:14:52It's dope. It's dope. And it's fast. Fast as fuck.
- 2:14:57Speaker 3: Here.
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: Now we're talking, Jamie. What do you think of that?
- 2:15:02That's not bad.
- 2:15:03Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: Here we go. It's a straight SUV. Look at that, Jamie.
- 2:15:06Here you go.
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: Those clubs fit in there easily.
- 2:15:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Now we're talking. The Durango kept dodging flow. Look
- 2:15:11at that fucking engine. That's what you need, Jamie. You
- 2:15:13need a goddamn V8, like a fucking Hellcat. You're going
- 2:15:15to come in here with a fucking hairy chest? Fuck yeah, dude.
- 2:15:17Goddamn American. Yeah. That's what you need. That's it. Forget
- 2:15:21the Cadillac. We're onto this now.
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: We're onto this.
- 2:15:24Speaker 2: We're onto this. That's what you need.
- 2:15:26Speaker 1: I wasn't... This is also... People love these. This is
- 2:15:29a robbery car, the Trackhawk. That's why I'm off of that.
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: Trackhawks are great, dude.
- 2:15:33Speaker 1: There's not that many of them yet, and people are
- 2:15:34after them.
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: How about you get a Hennessy and tell them to
- 2:15:37leave the badges off? Hennessys are so fucking... Just have
- 2:15:40Hennessy do it and leave the badges off.
- 2:15:42Speaker 1: Bro, did you see?
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: It just looks like a regular one, a sleeper.
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: I'd just be worried the whole time.
- 2:15:46Speaker 2: Oh, my God. What world are you living in?
- 2:15:48Speaker 3: Dude, did you see Hennessy did a super duty? Hennessy
- 2:15:51finally did a full super duty?
- 2:15:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Fuck, I love it. Hennessy does dope shit, dude.
- 2:15:55They do dope Mustangs. They do dope Cadillacs. They take
- 2:15:59the Blackwing and fucking.
- 2:16:00Speaker 3: See, that's why with Tubi, it was like, let's see
- 2:16:03how these four episodes go. They do good.
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: Do you know John? Me and him had a conversation.
- 2:16:07You should do a show with him. He's great. I
- 2:16:09want to do a show with him. I want to
- 2:16:10go to Gunther. Yeah. But John's great. He's up the
- 2:16:13fucking road. He's great. I can connect you with him.
- 2:16:15He's a good dude. He's a friend of mine.
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: Me and him had a convo because when I was
- 2:16:18building my Raptor to get to 1,400 horsepower, I called him.
- 2:16:21Speaker 2: Well, I'll hook you up with Gunther, too. They're great.
- 2:16:24Peter's very cool, too.
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: Durango smokes his Trackhawk.
- 2:16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, dude. Oh, the Durango with the Hellcat?
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: He started a little fast and he smokes it. And
- 2:16:35that's probably not a Hennessey one?
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't matter. I mean, they put a Hellcat
- 2:16:40in one of those fucking things. You're dealing with insane horsepower.
- 2:16:43It's so much horsepower. They're awesome, Jamie. And it sounds incredible.
- 2:16:47The red interior, it's fucking awesome. Bro, we're salespeople. We're
- 2:16:51selling Dodge to James.
- 2:16:52Speaker 1: That actually might have been the Trackhawk on the right.
- 2:16:54Speaker 2: Okay. Whichever one it was.
- 2:16:56Speaker 3: Either way, pick your place and just fucking get one.
- 2:16:58Speaker 2: I would 100% drive one of those. 100%.
- 2:17:00Speaker 3: Fuck yeah, you would.
- 2:17:02Speaker 2: I might get one, too, if you get one. Shit.
- 2:17:04Make it three.
- 2:17:05Speaker 1: Or do you charge it?
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: Charge it? How dare you? You son of a bitch.
- 2:17:11You know what, man? He's not wrong, though, with the
- 2:17:13way gas prices are. I talked to Tim Dillon today.
- 2:17:15I was on the phone with him when I came
- 2:17:16to the studio. He told me that gas is $ 7. 90
- 2:17:19a gallon in L.A.
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: Right now.
- 2:17:23Speaker 3: And that's down from what it was. I was out
- 2:17:25there a month shooting a commercial, and it was up.
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: To $ 8. 40 something. Here's what I don't understand. Are we
- 2:17:30getting oil from Iran? No.
- 2:17:33Speaker 1: Maybe three or four percent.
- 2:17:36Speaker 2: So are they just fucking us in the ass?
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: They just know, oh, Americans know if we go to war,
- 2:17:41we can increase the gas price. So we all just
- 2:17:43go along with it.
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: Is that real? Or is it global prices went up
- 2:17:47because some of the gas can't get to where it
- 2:17:49needs to go? And so they need to make that money.
- 2:17:53So they just fuck you. Isn't it funny? They're like,
- 2:17:56we're going to make money no matter what. The American
- 2:17:58people are going to lose money. So we make the
- 2:18:01same amount of money. Fuck you. You need oil.
- 2:18:04Speaker 3: But my whole thing is even like when we go
- 2:18:06to war, people are like, yeah, they're just doing it
- 2:18:08for money. It's like how much fucking money do they need?
- 2:18:10They're all rich anyway.
- 2:18:11Speaker 2: American gas prices are rising mainly because crude oils become
- 2:18:15more expensive due to the war with Iran and disruptions
- 2:18:17in global oil supply plus normal seasons and cost factors
- 2:18:21in refining. distribution and taxes. Biggest driver, crude oil in
- 2:18:24the Iran war. But what if we got all our
- 2:18:28oil from America? Which we can do. Well, if we
- 2:18:31did that, why would oil go up?
- 2:18:33Speaker 3: Because American fuel prices are tied to global oil markets.
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: We would just start selling it.
- 2:18:37Speaker 2: That's stupid.
- 2:18:39Speaker 1: The market.
- 2:18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're a bunch of crooks. They're a bunch
- 2:18:44of crooks. We should have a national oil company. And
- 2:18:49only sell in America. Keep it in-house. Keep it in-house.
- 2:18:52So no matter what foul shit we do outside the world.
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: Even though we're the biggest, companies can still sell wherever
- 2:18:57they want.
- 2:18:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:18:59Speaker 2: Even though the U.S. is the world's largest oil producer,
- 2:19:01companies can sell oil on the global market to whoever
- 2:19:04pays the highest price. And it fucks us. So high
- 2:19:06world prices still translate into high domestic gas prices. Hey, Mr. President,
- 2:19:11please fix that. Fucking tax them. I don't know if
- 2:19:14he can do that. They'll kill him. They tried to
- 2:19:16kill him three times already. You try to fuck with
- 2:19:18that oil money, and all of a sudden President J.D.
- 2:19:21is crying on TV. J.D.? I'm going to miss Donald.
- 2:19:24He was a great mentor to me, and I didn't
- 2:19:28always agree with everything he said. And I wish he
- 2:19:31didn't post that picture of him as Jesus.
- 2:19:33Speaker 3: Dude, what the fuck are you doing?
- 2:19:36Speaker 2: Hey, you know what's crazy to me?
- 2:19:38Speaker 3: There's been like three legit assassination attempts, and it's in
- 2:19:42the news.
- 2:19:43Speaker 2: Two, three days?
- 2:19:44Speaker 3: And we're just like, yeah, it's crazy.
- 2:19:45Speaker 2: And we move on. Well, there was another one that
- 2:19:47barely made the news where a guy showed up and
- 2:19:49tried to attack J.D. You remember that guy? I know. Yeah, see?
- 2:19:53Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:19:54Speaker 2: I'm part of the problem. This guy showed up. I
- 2:19:56think it was at the White House. I think some
- 2:19:59guy showed up at the White– you see this guy
- 2:20:01who just got killed or got shot in Cambridge? So
- 2:20:05this guy, he had a shootout with the cops three
- 2:20:10years ago, went to jail for three years, got out,
- 2:20:13and was walking down the street in Cambridge just unloading
- 2:20:16his gun on passerbys. Oh, I saw that.
- 2:20:18Speaker 3: Pop, pop, pop.
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, just shooting random people on the street. This guy
- 2:20:23had gotten in a shootout with the cops and only
- 2:20:25did three years. That's insane, dude. A shootout with the cops.
- 2:20:29I think 20 bullets were exchanged, and he only did
- 2:20:32three years. Bro, here's the other problem.
- 2:20:34Speaker 3: As I saw, they took, again, whoever's doing these polls,
- 2:20:37you got to be an idiot to get stopped on
- 2:20:39the street and do the polls.
- 2:20:39Speaker 2: Look at this guy.
- 2:20:40Speaker 3: This is wild.
- 2:20:41Speaker 2: He's just walking down the street shooting at cars. Bro,
- 2:20:44by the way. I'm running that guy over. Oh, a
- 2:20:47thousand percent. Especially for my Toyota, my Land Cruiser, where
- 2:20:50I know it's not going to mess up my car.
- 2:20:53That's insane. Meanwhile, if I was in Cambridge, though, I'd
- 2:20:56probably go to jail for life.
- 2:20:57Speaker 3: A hundred percent. You're fucked.
- 2:20:58Speaker 2: Yeah. For defending the public.
- 2:21:01Speaker 3: But I saw a survey that said one in four
- 2:21:03Americans think the assassination attempts on the president are fake.
- 2:21:07Speaker 2: I wonder what percentage think the world's flat. One in four. Yeah.
- 2:21:13The people that thought that the Butler, Pennsylvania one was
- 2:21:16staged don't know anything about guns. That's a fact. I
- 2:21:20don't know anybody who knows anything about guns that thinks
- 2:21:23that the president would let some guy nick his ear
- 2:21:26with a bullet. Sodom. That is in the guy behind him,
- 2:21:30the firefighter who lost his life. That guy got shot
- 2:21:32by a bullet that was intended for Trump. And then
- 2:21:34there's a photo of a bullet whizzing by his face.
- 2:21:37Anybody that thinks that that stage is out of their
- 2:21:40fucking mind.
- 2:21:42Speaker 3: Or the guy that the correspondent's dinner who rushed in.
- 2:21:44Speaker 2: Yeah. They think that's fake. It's like, hold on.
- 2:21:46Speaker 3: So you think this guy who's a teacher, educated, clearly
- 2:21:49kind of had his shit together, threw away his life?
- 2:21:53Speaker 2: Well, Tim Burchette, who I had on the podcast, the congressman.
- 2:21:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:21:57Speaker 2: He thinks that guy was like some sort of an
- 2:21:59MK Ultra type deal. And he says he thinks they
- 2:22:02still do that. He thinks someone's still doing that.
- 2:22:04Speaker 3: I've always thought that. I'm not trying to steal– I'm
- 2:22:06sure he has way better points than me. But if
- 2:22:09they did MKUltra all those years ago, when you go
- 2:22:11through the list of Charles Manson, the Unabomber, you think
- 2:22:14it stopped?
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: Right. And you don't think they've gotten better with it? Exactly.
- 2:22:19So you just think they're like, OK, the public knows.
- 2:22:21We're going to shut this down. No, dude.
- 2:22:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:22:23Speaker 2: They just– they expand. It gets better and better and better.
- 2:22:27For sure they're still doing that. And that could have
- 2:22:29been Thomas Crooks too, the guy who tried to shoot–
- 2:22:31Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. That one was weird as fuck.
- 2:22:35That one's so weird because that guy's house was professionally scrubbed.
- 2:22:39He didn't even have silverware there. He had no online activity.
- 2:22:43He had no social media. Black rock ties. Have you
- 2:22:46heard anything about him? Nope. Gone. How weird is that, dude?
- 2:22:50What about the Charlie Kirk guy?
- 2:22:52Speaker 3: What about the guy who killed Charlie? Right.
- 2:22:54Speaker 2: We haven't heard one interview with him. Is that not weird, dude?
- 2:22:56It's super weird. Nearly one-third of Americans, 30%, believe that
- 2:23:02at least one of the three attempts on Donald President's
- 2:23:05life over the last two years were staged.
- 2:23:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:23:08Speaker 2: For each attempted assassination, a majority of Americans said either
- 2:23:12that it was staged or that they were not sure.
- 2:23:1454% said they either thought it was staged or not sure.
- 2:23:19And that's the problem. Only 38% of Americans believe all
- 2:23:22three assassination attempts were authentic. This is TikTok. It's fucking
- 2:23:26ruining people's brains.
- 2:23:27Speaker 3: That's the fucking problem.
- 2:23:28Speaker 2: Rotting their fucking brains out from inside their heads.
- 2:23:31Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:23:32Speaker 1: It's not good, dude.
- 2:23:33Speaker 2: Meanwhile, you go on Chinese TikTok. It's all like traditional
- 2:23:36dance and martial arts. They built it. Science projects. Yeah.
- 2:23:40It shuts down for kids after 10 p.m.
- 2:23:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:23:43Speaker 2: And like Americans, have fun. Yeah.
- 2:23:45Speaker 3: Go rot your brains.
- 2:23:45Speaker 2: They're doing such a great job.
- 2:23:47Speaker 3: Crush it.
- 2:23:47Speaker 2: And then they sold it, right? So they sold it
- 2:23:49to that American company and they're just going to continue
- 2:23:53doing what the Chinese did and make the most amount
- 2:23:55of money, which is rotting people's brains out. Don't give
- 2:23:58a fuck. Wouldn't it be dope if this American company
- 2:24:00that bought it said, hey, there's clearly a problem with
- 2:24:03how things are emphasized and what your algorithm shows you.
- 2:24:07And what we're going to do is promote Like exceptional
- 2:24:10people doing exceptional things. Don't you think they would get
- 2:24:12more users?
- 2:24:13Speaker 3: Because as a dad, I'd be like, okay, you guys
- 2:24:15can have TikTok. There's some rules there. It's an educational thing. Now,
- 2:24:21not a fucking chance, dude.
- 2:24:23Speaker 2: No, it wouldn't get more. It would go right over
- 2:24:26to Instagram. Instagram's all assassinations. What if they did across
- 2:24:30the board? You would have to have no one cross
- 2:24:34that picket line and they all would because people are
- 2:24:36addicted to watching fucked up street fights and crazy things now.
- 2:24:40Like my algorithm is all like people fighting in parking
- 2:24:44lots and there's so much of that.
- 2:24:46Speaker 3: Man, mine's just trucks, cars, and fucking fights.
- 2:24:50Speaker 2: On Instagram?
- 2:24:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:24:51Speaker 2: So my problem is me and Segura every day send
- 2:24:55each other the worst thing that we find online. I
- 2:24:57don't want to start my day like that. I don't either.
- 2:25:00Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 2:25:01Speaker 2: I don't either, but it's too late. But that's the
- 2:25:03only time I'm going to Instagram now. The only time.
- 2:25:06And then I'll check my. You've kind of gotten off
- 2:25:09of it, right? Yeah. This is so much better. I
- 2:25:12feel so much better. I go in occasionally and check
- 2:25:15Twitter to see what the news is, like what's trending.
- 2:25:17But you're not like reading the comments and all that
- 2:25:20shit or mentions? No, no, no. And I don't even
- 2:25:22go into the news feed because I used to go
- 2:25:24into the news feed. I find things about me all
- 2:25:26the time. Like I don't want to hear what a
- 2:25:28douchebag I am. That's a bummer. Like come on. I'm
- 2:25:30not here for that.
- 2:25:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:25:31Speaker 2: It sucks. So I can't avoid people getting mad at
- 2:25:35me or even saying nice things about me. I don't
- 2:25:37even want to read that. I think what's better is
- 2:25:40I go to the trending stuff and find out what
- 2:25:43the news is. So then I'll click on like what
- 2:25:46the fuck is going on and I'll check that out.
- 2:25:48Like that's how I found out about this guy with
- 2:25:49the gun. And you feel so much better, right? Way better.
- 2:25:52But I also more often than not now not going
- 2:25:56there for my news and I've kind of curated my
- 2:25:58Google news feed. Smart. To be much more interesting. Like
- 2:26:02I get more stories and it'll show me stories from X. Yeah.
- 2:26:06So then I can decide whether or not I want
- 2:26:08to actually open up X. That's cool. To read the story.
- 2:26:10And did you stop drinking too? I did and then
- 2:26:12I went back. I'm back. How back are you? Not
- 2:26:15back crazy, but I'll have a couple of drinks every
- 2:26:17now and then. I haven't gotten drunk since I've been back. Dude,
- 2:26:20I've been sober over two years now. That's nice. Almost three.
- 2:26:23Feel good? Feel great. Never been in better shape. Yeah.
- 2:26:26I feel fucking awesome. It's definitely better for you. But
- 2:26:29I do like a glass of wine or two with
- 2:26:30dinner and I do like a drink or two with
- 2:26:32the boys when we're at the club every now and then.
- 2:26:34But I just– I was doing it too much. Me too.
- 2:26:36And then I recognized and so I stopped.
- 2:26:39Speaker 3: Yeah, just– it wasn't benefiting me and then also I
- 2:26:42have addictive personality.
- 2:26:43Speaker 2: Like if I do something, I got to be all in.
- 2:26:45Speaker 3: Like on cars, like literally one day I woke up
- 2:26:47and I'm like, I don't need 11 cars. And half
- 2:26:50of them are trucks and they're all the same.
- 2:26:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:26:54Speaker 3: It's just like when I get into something, I get
- 2:26:56so into it.
- 2:26:56Speaker 2: But as I'm getting older, I'm getting better at checking myself.
- 2:26:59Speaker 3: Good.
- 2:27:00Speaker 2: That's good. Getting better at that is very important to
- 2:27:04managing your life.
- 2:27:04Speaker 3: Growing up.
- 2:27:04Speaker 2: It's really important. It's growing up. Well, it's also just
- 2:27:07realizing that there's some addictions that are just not beneficial
- 2:27:10at all and then other ones that are really beneficial.
- 2:27:13So just get addicted to doing things that are good
- 2:27:14for you. Yeah. Facts. But that's the problem is that
- 2:27:20a lot of people can't regulate their addictions well. They're
- 2:27:23just not good at it. And so they just get
- 2:27:26caught up and, you know, it could be anything. Oh, yeah. Preach.
- 2:27:30That's me. Yeah. But it's also that same thing is
- 2:27:34what causes people to get good at stuff. Correct. Which
- 2:27:37is weird. Like if you show me a dude who
- 2:27:40can't get addicted to anything, like there's not one thing
- 2:27:43that is taking up too much of your time, I
- 2:27:44probably can't hang out with you. And it's not good. Yeah,
- 2:27:47not good.
- 2:27:48Speaker 3: Yeah, because that same obsession is what got me to
- 2:27:50the UFC or football.
- 2:27:51Speaker 2: Exactly. Exactly. Like being all in on something I think
- 2:27:55is where– that's where obsession can lead. The scary one
- 2:28:00for me, I think, not for me personally, but when
- 2:28:02I see it is gambling. Super scary. Because I see
- 2:28:06people that are really rich, not just Dana, but other
- 2:28:09people that I know that are really rich that gamble
- 2:28:11big numbers. And it freaks me out. Like big poker
- 2:28:15games and crazy amounts of money they gamble on stuff.
- 2:28:18And I was like, I don't like that.
- 2:28:21Speaker 3: But you get your rocks off in other ways. I
- 2:28:23think for those like super rich people, like that's kind of.
- 2:28:27Like they can buy any car. They can buy any
- 2:28:29house or go on any trip. In order to get
- 2:28:32their rocks off, that's how they do it.
- 2:28:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but it has to be a big number for
- 2:28:36them to feel it. Because the juice has to be
- 2:28:37so high. If they bet $ 100 on something, they don't
- 2:28:40even know. That doesn't mean– they might not even cash
- 2:28:42that ticket. Like they don't feel it. You know how
- 2:28:44you and I are similar with obsession. Do your kiddos
- 2:28:48have that? Do you see it in anything? Oh, yeah.
- 2:28:50Speaker 3: In a positive way?
- 2:28:50Speaker 2: Super driven. But it's very positive. Kids imitate the atmosphere
- 2:28:54that they grow up in. And if your parents have
- 2:28:56a hard work ethic and they're disciplined and they're kind,
- 2:28:59generally speaking, that's how your kids come out. Yeah. I
- 2:29:02think that. So when I see shitty kids, I generally,
- 2:29:06genuinely think that it's– at least part of it is
- 2:29:09from the parents.
- 2:29:09Speaker 3: Dude, I coach my son's baseball and football teams. The
- 2:29:14crazy parents I deal with, buddy. Dude. And I try
- 2:29:20to talk to the dads because most of them respect me.
- 2:29:22Speaker 2: So I'll go.
- 2:29:23Speaker 3: Can I give you some advice, man?
- 2:29:24Speaker 2: You got to back off, dude. But they can't. They can't.
- 2:29:28Speaker 3: You'd have to change who they are. And I tell them,
- 2:29:31I'm like, I'm trying to help you out here. You
- 2:29:36love baseball, whatever.
- 2:29:37Speaker 2: You love football.
- 2:29:38Speaker 3: Your son has told me he wants to quit. Now,
- 2:29:41the reason he wants to quit is because you've made
- 2:29:43it not fun. He used to love this game. When
- 2:29:46I first got here, nothing he loved more than football.
- 2:29:49Now he wants to quit because you've made it a
- 2:29:51job for him. You fucked up, dude. And who's it
- 2:29:54going to affect? A, it's going to suck for him
- 2:29:55because he likes football. You're not going to be able
- 2:29:57to watch your kid play football, dude. Because you decide
- 2:30:00to make it not fun.
- 2:30:01Speaker 2: You're going to fuck up your relationship with your kid.
- 2:30:03Speaker 3: Facts.
- 2:30:05Speaker 2: I don't force my kids into doing it other than
- 2:30:07they have to go to school. I don't force my
- 2:30:08kids into doing anything they don't want to do. If
- 2:30:10they're not interested in it, you don't have to do it.
- 2:30:13But find something you are interested in. That's my thing.
- 2:30:16Speaker 3: Whatever you're into, let's ride. I don't give a fuck
- 2:30:17what it is. It just so happens it's baseball, football. Cool,
- 2:30:20let's ride, man.
- 2:30:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but you have a great personality for that and
- 2:30:23that you're very encouraging your kids. But you're not– it's
- 2:30:27not you thinking like your self-worth is not tied up
- 2:30:32to your kids' performance. You just want your kids to
- 2:30:35have fun. Yep. The problem is with some people, their
- 2:30:39kid is almost like their racehorse or something. You know
- 2:30:42what I mean? Like it's like their whole personality gets
- 2:30:46wrapped around their kid being an elite athlete.
- 2:30:48Speaker 3: Brother, and now it's worse because– especially in baseball, right?
- 2:30:51It's like it's a business now. It's over a billion-dollar business.
- 2:30:54So now it's like there's these– Travel ball, when I
- 2:30:57was a kid, you had to be really fucking good. Well,
- 2:30:59now every parent wants to say their kid's travel ball.
- 2:31:02So there's the majors and there's two teams at the majors.
- 2:31:05There's three triple-A, three double-A, three single-A. I just want
- 2:31:09my– I don't need the best 10-year-old. I just want
- 2:31:11him playing. So I don't give a– he made the
- 2:31:12majors team. I don't give a fuck. It's majors, triple-A, rec.
- 2:31:16We're playing wherever.
- 2:31:17Speaker 2: Have fun. Have fun. And apply yourself to something.
- 2:31:21Speaker 3: And apply yourself. And I don't give a fuck what
- 2:31:25level we're at. We'll play it all. And some of
- 2:31:27the parents, I'll come back from a tournament, they'll be like, oh.
- 2:31:29Speaker 2: You played double A?
- 2:31:30Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, it's baseball, man. You think he can
- 2:31:34only play majors so, what, I can sit around with
- 2:31:37a water cooler and brag to you guys?
- 2:31:39Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck. Isn't it crazy that people will, like,
- 2:31:41talk down about a kid who's not playing as good
- 2:31:43as other kids?
- 2:31:44Speaker 3: Oh, it's wild.
- 2:31:44Speaker 2: It's like, what are you– But, you know, that's the,
- 2:31:48it's like stage moms, you know, there's a thing like
- 2:31:51that with actors.
- 2:31:52Speaker 3: To your point, he's tied up in what they, what
- 2:31:54they don't realize that they're fucking it all up.
- 2:31:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah. It's all going to get fucked up. I've
- 2:31:58seen that with a lot of young actors where their
- 2:32:02parents were like super involved in their career and then
- 2:32:04the kid just did not want to do it anymore.
- 2:32:06And generally, like I've seen it a few times and
- 2:32:09one of them that I know really well where the
- 2:32:11parents stole money from the kid. Fuck dude. Yeah, he
- 2:32:14stole like $ 6 million. Jesus Christ. I'll tell you who
- 2:32:16it is after the show. That's terrible. Oh, it's awful.
- 2:32:18It's awful. It's like devastated him to find out. But
- 2:32:21it's like that's what they're doing. They're using the kid
- 2:32:24as a piggy bank. They quit working. They relied entirely
- 2:32:27on the kid. The kid's acting. Think about the pressure
- 2:32:29on the kid.
- 2:32:30Speaker 3: Oh, I got to afford all this so we can
- 2:32:32fucking live? I know.
- 2:32:33Speaker 2: And I'm nine? Not only that, but then, you know,
- 2:32:35the kid starts feeling like, hey, this is my fucking money.
- 2:32:40You don't tell me I can't have cereal. Go fuck yourself.
- 2:32:44He's the boss?
- 2:32:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:32:45Speaker 2: I mean, he had problems with it too. They all
- 2:32:48have problems with it. And then on top of that,
- 2:32:49it's just super unhealthy for your kid to get famous
- 2:32:52when they're 10. Horrible. Also for pretending.
- 2:32:56Speaker 1: Horrible.
- 2:32:56Speaker 2: Famous for pretending. That's what, how's that going to affect
- 2:32:59your personality?
- 2:33:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:33:02Speaker 2: Well, there's a lot of parents out there, man, that
- 2:33:04just don't understand you're developing a human being. And one
- 2:33:09of the reasons they don't understand is they're not developed well.
- 2:33:11Speaker 3: Correct.
- 2:33:11Speaker 2: They're fucking nuts. Or the biggest problem is usually the
- 2:33:14parents who never played.
- 2:33:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:33:17Speaker 2: And they're like, man, you'll see just.
- 2:33:19Speaker 3: A glimpse that their son has some talent and then
- 2:33:22they're the worst.
- 2:33:23Speaker 2: Did your kid into cars? You big time. Oh, that's nice.
- 2:33:26Big time. You got to teach them how to drive
- 2:33:28so they don't do something stupid when they get old.
- 2:33:30That's what I tell them all the time. Yeah. All
- 2:33:31the fucking time. Yeah, don't do anything dumb. Oh, no,
- 2:33:33they're going to learn how to drive a manual. It's
- 2:33:34the easiest way to do your car.
- 2:33:36Speaker 3: Jamie, you want to make sure your car doesn't get stolen?
- 2:33:38Speaker 2: Buy a manual. The criminals these days don't know how
- 2:33:40to drive a manual. He doesn't even know how to
- 2:33:41drive one. Do you know how to drive one?
- 2:33:42Speaker 3: Sure.
- 2:33:42Speaker 2: Oh, he's going to burn that clutch. Look at him.
- 2:33:44Speaker 1: I haven't done it in a long time.
- 2:33:45Speaker 2: You could figure it out doing a blackboard. I definitely
- 2:33:47could do it right now. Yeah, especially if you're only
- 2:33:49driving 10 miles a day.
- 2:33:51Speaker 3: Oh, you're a perfect candidate.
- 2:33:52Speaker 1: I just don't want to.
- 2:33:54Speaker 2: That's disappointing. Yeah, no, my kids know their shit.
- 2:33:58Speaker 1: I mean, there's so many other cars in the world.
- 2:34:02It doesn't have to be that one.
- 2:34:03Speaker 2: What do you like?
- 2:34:04Speaker 1: I'm not driving anywhere.
- 2:34:07Speaker 2: We know you like track cars. Okay, okay, okay. But
- 2:34:09let's just put all that aside. What cars do you
- 2:34:12look at? Ooh, I like that. Or do you look
- 2:34:14at a car that you like and go, that's a target?
- 2:34:16Speaker 1: No, if it's one I like, it ends up honestly
- 2:34:19being like... Like an X6, somewhere in that range. X5, X6, AMG, GLE.
- 2:34:25Speaker 2: Okay. Now we're talking. Like that. I don't know.
- 2:34:29Speaker 1: Somewhere in there.
- 2:34:29Speaker 2: Those are dope looking.
- 2:34:30Speaker 1: I'll tell you what.
- 2:34:31Speaker 2: Whoever made the new grills on the BMW should be
- 2:34:36dick slapped into the hospital. Like, he should. Like, what
- 2:34:45the fuck did you do to one of the most
- 2:34:48iconic grills in the, like, the M4s? Like, blech. Yeah.
- 2:34:53What did you do?
- 2:34:55Speaker 3: They're just trying to switch it up, you know, and
- 2:34:58they miss.
- 2:34:58Speaker 2: Oh, but who let that go through? Bring that up, Jamie.
- 2:35:01Who greened with that? The only one that looks good
- 2:35:04or looks decent is the 7 Series. There's something about
- 2:35:07the proportions of the 7 Series with that big grill.
- 2:35:09It doesn't bother me. That M2 is fucking tasty, too, though. Okay,
- 2:35:12that's dope.
- 2:35:13Speaker 3: Those things can cook.
- 2:35:13Speaker 2: But they didn't get it goofy with the grill. You're
- 2:35:16talking about that one, right?
- 2:35:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:35:17Speaker 2: Come the fuck on with that.
- 2:35:18Speaker 1: They've sort of fixed it as time's gone by, but
- 2:35:20it's still got a big gap like that.
- 2:35:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like it. The earlier ones were the
- 2:35:25grossest ones. But look at that right there. The lower.
- 2:35:29I'm sorry. That one's good, but the left one, the
- 2:35:32white one. The white one. Yeah, that's it. Look at that.
- 2:35:35That's perfect. That's perfect.
- 2:35:37Speaker 1: That's pretty. That's perfect.
- 2:35:38Speaker 3: Do you still have the M5?
- 2:35:41Speaker 2: No, but I do have the E46 M3. Oh, yeah.
- 2:35:44Those are cool. The 2005. Those are fucking awesome. That
- 2:35:47one's fucking great. That is literally a perfect car. That's
- 2:35:50a great car. Like that one. That one's gross. That grille,
- 2:35:54the lower right one, the bronze colored one. Blech.
- 2:35:57Speaker 3: Yeah, my brother has that new M2 manual, and that
- 2:36:00thing fucking cooks.
- 2:36:01Speaker 2: Oh, M2s are amazing. That's cool. Those are amazing. BMW,
- 2:36:04to their credit, is still making manual transmissions.
- 2:36:07Speaker 1: Awful. It's a little better.
- 2:36:08Speaker 2: Do they make a manual in the M5? They don't, right?
- 2:36:12I don't think so. I think the M5 is only...
- 2:36:16Does it make a manual? The M5s are so heavy now.
- 2:36:19That's their issue.
- 2:36:21Speaker 1: Manual's not the first thing coming up.
- 2:36:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think they make it a manual transmission anymore.
- 2:36:28See if it says manual transmission....
- 2:36:32Speaker 1: That one's automatic.
- 2:36:33Speaker 2: Yeah. I think they make the M4 manual.
- 2:36:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:36:38Speaker 2: Oh, six speed. But that's the E60 V10. That's an
- 2:36:41old one. Those are dope. The V10s are cool. V10s
- 2:36:44sound amazing. They sound amazing. My E46 is not that fast.
- 2:36:51Speaker 3: There it is.
- 2:36:52Speaker 2: That's old.
- 2:36:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:36:53Speaker 2: Yeah. So those are the last ones they made in
- 2:36:55the manual. But my E46 is small. That's what you want.
- 2:37:00It doesn't weigh a lot. It handles really good. It's
- 2:37:02got hydraulic steering, manual transmission, and it's a Dynon, so
- 2:37:08it has a supercharger on it. So it's a little faster.
- 2:37:11So it's like 400-something horsepower. Monster. Dude, it's just fun.
- 2:37:16You feel it while you're driving it. And they look
- 2:37:19fucking awesome.
- 2:37:19Speaker 1: I said something weird and I was trying to track that.
- 2:37:21I said that they got two of them that were...
- 2:37:23Unless there's only two vehicles here.
- 2:37:25Speaker 2: What does it say?
- 2:37:26Speaker 1: It might be just not an American thing.
- 2:37:27Speaker 2: Does that make sense? No, those are old.
- 2:37:29Speaker 1: No, I know... I'll tell you what I saw.
- 2:37:31Speaker 2: Oh, that they, so put in 2026 BMW M5 manual.
- 2:37:37Speaker 1: I just saw that. We got two versions of the
- 2:37:39BMW M5 with a manual that the rest of the
- 2:37:41world missed out on. That's what I saw and was
- 2:37:43clicking on.
- 2:37:44Speaker 2: When does that, though, if you click on it?
- 2:37:47Speaker 1: 2025.
- 2:37:47Speaker 2: Right, but I think they're talking about old cars. I
- 2:37:50think they're doing a history. BMW still has them. Because
- 2:37:53it says two versions. They're talking about older cars. BMW
- 2:37:56still has great interiors, too.
- 2:37:58Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 2:37:58Speaker 2: Some manufacturers still fucking do it right. BMW does it right.
- 2:38:02They're really good. It's a solid car. And the new M5,
- 2:38:05even if it isn't a manual, is a fucking screamer
- 2:38:08of a car. They're monsters. Yeah, but they have to
- 2:38:09make them hybrids now. I know. Because of all the
- 2:38:13fucking environmental shit.
- 2:38:15Speaker 3: Did you see Trump got rid of the engine start?
- 2:38:19Speaker 2: You know how when you stop, he got rid of that.
- 2:38:21That's good. I don't like that. It drives me nuts.
- 2:38:24And I don't like that in some cars I have
- 2:38:26to press the don't do that at every red light.
- 2:38:28Don't do that. I fucking hate it. Don't do that.
- 2:38:30Speaker 3: I hate it.
- 2:38:31Speaker 2: It drives me fucking nuts. It's stupid. You're not saving anything.
- 2:38:34All you're doing is cooking my starter. Yeah. Because the
- 2:38:37starter's got to start 50 times more. How crazy that
- 2:38:38Trump was like, I'm getting rid of that.
- 2:38:40Speaker 1: It's so annoying. I've been parking next to one of these.
- 2:38:41Speaker 2: It's dangerous. Is that a Maserati?
- 2:38:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's sick.
- 2:38:45Speaker 2: Ooh, boy. Those are cool. In person, they're really nice.
- 2:38:48Speaker 1: Those are dope.
- 2:38:49Speaker 2: That's a beautiful car. Why don't you get one of them, Jamie?
- 2:38:51Speaker 1: Well.
- 2:38:54Speaker 2: What's up? I don't know. He's worried about the attention.
- 2:38:57Speaker 1: I just had a tire problem. I didn't go that far.
- 2:38:59The Model S tires just fell apart after 10,000 miles.
- 2:39:04Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:39:05Speaker 2: That was weird. The way your tires fell apart was weird.
- 2:39:08That didn't make any sense because he said he had
- 2:39:10a flat tire, and then he got a look at it,
- 2:39:12and it was like there's. The wires around, he'd worn
- 2:39:15down the tread at 10,000 miles.
- 2:39:18Speaker 3: Well, that's the problem with electric cars, because they're so heavy,
- 2:39:20so you're going through tires faster.
- 2:39:22Speaker 2: But I didn't think it would be that fast. 10,000
- 2:39:24miles is crazy. Jerry might be driving like a maniac.
- 2:39:27Fucking nutty.
- 2:39:28Speaker 1: I bet he is.
- 2:39:28Speaker 2: I bet he's going sideways.
- 2:39:29Speaker 3: The wire, dude?
- 2:39:30Speaker 2: You know how ratchet, you got to be able to
- 2:39:32wear down to the wire? I think it's the weight. Yeah,
- 2:39:34it's the weight. Because we looked it up, and it
- 2:39:36was like 15,000 miles. So he's just a little bit
- 2:39:39more lead foot. Heavy foot. A little more lead foot.
- 2:39:42Lead foot, Jamie. Just a sign to get out of
- 2:39:44the lead. As he gets older, we'll start calling him
- 2:39:46lead foot, Jamie.
- 2:39:47Speaker 1: These are dope. Aston Martins are dope.
- 2:39:49Speaker 2: Fuck yeah, bud. Now we're talking, son. Come on, Jamie.
- 2:39:52You know some good shit.
- 2:39:54Speaker 1: Here we go. I just don't like Blackwing Cadillac.
- 2:39:57Speaker 2: Okay. Okay, you don't like Cadillac. Okay, that's fine. Aston
- 2:40:00Martins are fucking awesome. It's fine. Everybody has different tastes.
- 2:40:04Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 2:40:04Speaker 2: As long as you like that. You like something.
- 2:40:07Speaker 3: Dude, I'll go on Facebook Marketplace for you. We'll get
- 2:40:09you track hawks.
- 2:40:11Speaker 2: We'll get you Aston Martins. He's got to get something.
- 2:40:14We've got to get him something fun. Let us know
- 2:40:17the budget, dude. We'll get something. He seems a little hesitant.
- 2:40:19But he does seem open to it. Well, you drove
- 2:40:22race cars before around the track.
- 2:40:24Speaker 1: That's fun. I do that all the time.
- 2:40:26Speaker 2: But you could buy a car that you can drive
- 2:40:27your own. We're going to have a studio at the track.
- 2:40:30Speaker 1: It's more fun to not drive your own race car.
- 2:40:32Speaker 2: That's true. That's true. You don't worry about fucking it up.
- 2:40:34That's a good point. So your show's on 2B.
- 2:40:37Speaker 3: Show's on 2B. Gearhead's Gone Wild. There's four episodes.
- 2:40:41Speaker 2: And are you releasing new ones?
- 2:40:42Speaker 3: You can binge watch all four of them right now.
- 2:40:44And then if the four do well, they're going to
- 2:40:46order a bunch more. And that's where I do Hennessy,
- 2:40:49Gun to Works. I got some big boys like that.
- 2:40:50Speaker 2: And how long are each show?
- 2:40:53Speaker 3: I think they're like 28 minutes each.
- 2:40:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:40:55Speaker 3: Okay, cool.
- 2:40:56Speaker 2: And it's Gearheads Gone Wild. Yes, they're on Tubi. On Tubi.
- 2:40:59Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:40:59Speaker 2: So it might be the first time I ever go
- 2:41:01to Tubi. I've never been to Tubi. Please do. I
- 2:41:04only heard about it like a year ago. I just
- 2:41:06found out about it. three months ago. I just can't
- 2:41:09believe it has that many fucking people viewing it.
