- 0:00Speaker 1: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We're all good? Did you need to clap? You have clapps?
- 0:08Speaker 2: All this shit has happened and I've been oblivious.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Hello, Mike, Yeah.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Should be.
- 0:16Speaker 3: The stuff the way.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Speaking of superstars, we have the icon, the man, the myth, legend,
- 0:27Speaker 2: the legend of the What else did you ask us
- 0:31Speaker 2: to call you before?
- 0:32Speaker 4: I would say some of the best hair about industry.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I appreciate that, but I'd like to think I've got
- 0:37Speaker 1: one of the best slash back ends in the non
- 0:40Speaker 1: professional circuit.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Trying it is Dave here.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Great to be here with two of my nemesis.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We are nemesises because not only did you knock Lizzie
- 0:53Speaker 2: who out of the one point slam ruthlessly I dream.
- 0:56Speaker 3: About it three am. I wake up.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Well, I wasn't happy with her action to that that
- 1:01Speaker 1: wonderful serve that I put in so and you hit
- 1:03Speaker 1: the ball basically out of the stadium I did. And
- 1:06Speaker 1: you blame my week service.
- 1:08Speaker 3: As out of your little bitch if.
- 1:11Speaker 1: You don't know about the one point slam that was
- 1:14Speaker 1: you had to win one point and I selflessly decided
- 1:17Speaker 1: to serve because I knew how nerve wracking. It would
- 1:20Speaker 1: be for you to serve.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Ah usy, what a nice.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But I wanted to get my first one in because
- 1:26Speaker 1: I didn't want to have to you know, that second
- 1:28Speaker 1: one would have been really nervous for me. So I
- 1:30Speaker 1: took a bit off it. But you couldn't handle it.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I couldn't handle it. It caught me off guard.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I was running shuffling, yes, and then I hit it
- 1:38Speaker 4: too hard and it went out and got through.
- 1:41Speaker 1: She could have graciously accepted the feet, but no, she
- 1:44Speaker 1: went on the attack.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Well do you remember Adam Hills was telling us all
- 1:49Speaker 2: he's been like like thinking about the best strategy for weeks.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I appreciated a coach.
- 1:54Speaker 2: He had a coach and he was gone, you have
- 1:56Speaker 2: to serve. He's like, I thought about it. I've been
- 1:58Speaker 2: thinking about this for weeks. You have to serve. Whatever
- 2:00Speaker 2: you do, take the serve. We got two chances. The
- 2:02Speaker 2: pros only got one right and then he double faulted.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that hurt. There was something that he foot folded
- 2:10Speaker 1: as well. And if you don't get Adam only has
- 2:13Speaker 1: one foot, so so the footfold someone who only has
- 2:17Speaker 1: one foot is hard. But it was a computer generated
- 2:21Speaker 1: isn't it now everything even when we played then it
- 2:23Speaker 1: was is the computer says no.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, a footfall on a guy with one foot
- 2:31Speaker 2: is absolutely brutal. And because then he ran up and
- 2:33Speaker 2: made a joke on the microphone about it and then
- 2:35Speaker 2: ran back to the second serve and missed it.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You know that I once played Adam in forty two
- 2:41Speaker 1: degree heat in Melbourne and his plastic foot snapped during
- 2:46Speaker 1: the game. And we went to and he didn't have
- 2:49Speaker 1: a spare foot, so and we went to and the
- 2:55Speaker 1: guys running the courts in albert Punk wouldn't give us
- 2:57Speaker 1: our money back because I thought he was joking that
- 2:59Speaker 1: he foot for your comedians. No, you paid, so we
- 3:03Speaker 1: didn't even get money back. Well, he didn't get his
- 3:05Speaker 1: money back.
- 3:05Speaker 2: So it was tough, hot, like whatever the foot's made
- 3:08Speaker 2: out of melted, melted, and then just snapped off. So
- 3:11Speaker 2: that's good advice for any young players. Always bring a
- 3:14Speaker 2: spare foot.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yes, and yeah, but I'd like to think that we're
- 3:18Speaker 1: so hard that we'll play, you know, I'll play in
- 3:20Speaker 1: forty degrees no worries. Really, middle of the day, middle
- 3:23Speaker 1: of the day, full sun.
- 3:25Speaker 3: You were your fact to fifty look.
- 3:27Speaker 1: At my skin's already gone. Basically every every three months
- 3:31Speaker 1: I have to go in for surgery to get like
- 3:33Speaker 1: five spots cut off me and then I can't play tennis.
- 3:35Speaker 4: From then you play in the middle of the day
- 3:38Speaker 4: and I get it, yeah, undercover and get him under cover.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So not only did you knock Lizzie who out of
- 3:45Speaker 2: the one point swam we play, we played pretty consistently
- 3:49Speaker 2: over the past five or six years or maybe the longer.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You guys, that's really good because because Mike told me
- 3:56Speaker 1: that and I forget stuff. But we went to the
- 3:58Speaker 1: Australian Open final together, you said, And that was like
- 4:00Speaker 1: twenty twenty.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Twenty twenty, so it was right before the big as
- 4:05Speaker 2: was it called the plandemic, before the plan happened. That
- 4:10Speaker 2: we went and saw Dominic team pushed Novak Djokovic to
- 4:14Speaker 2: five sets. Yeah lose, and it was an amazing match.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We're sitting right behind Rod Labor from Amory.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've had some great moments that the Australian Open finals
- 4:26Speaker 1: once once was on the you know those seats that
- 4:28Speaker 1: are on the court, those like lounge seats almost like yeah, yes, yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: One year, the first year they introduced those seats. They
- 4:37Speaker 1: let me, They invited me, and which doesn't happen that
- 4:39Speaker 1: often anymore, but it happened then where I got invited
- 4:42Speaker 1: to sit in those seats and I look beside me
- 4:44Speaker 1: and I'm sitting next to Will Ferrell. Wow, so I'm
- 4:47Speaker 1: right beside Will Ferrell and that was exciting. So I
- 4:50Speaker 1: loved it. Yeah. Well, actually he said a load to
- 4:53Speaker 1: me as well, because we'd met on Rove a few
- 4:55Speaker 1: years before, maybe many before the TV show Rove, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: he remembered me, and so we had a really good chat.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And then he had to interview Roger Federer after the game.
- 5:04Speaker 1: He said, I'm a bit nervous about it. I said,
- 5:06Speaker 1: you've got this, well, you're gonna be okay, and he went,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and so he wanted to do so I picked him.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Up to interview Roger girls hype girl.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I was. But that the end of that that tournament,
- 5:17Speaker 1: they couldn't sell the seats for the final, and I
- 5:20Speaker 1: just was desperate. It was Feeder versus Nadal in the
- 5:23Speaker 1: final and they hadn't happened for years, and event I
- 5:27Speaker 1: was trying to get a seat to the game, to
- 5:28Speaker 1: the match, I couldn't get one, and eventually that was
- 5:31Speaker 1: the only seats left with those ones at the front.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So I paid for two secs much a lot, a lot.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It was thousands tens of that.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well yeah, at least.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Ten those seats because now like they just put influencers
- 5:47Speaker 2: in them, and I always looked down and I'm like,
- 5:50Speaker 2: that person does not give a shouts influencers number.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I bought the seats and a mate came with me.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I gave the free ticket to and he was late,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but we watched a Federer beaten Nadal in five sets,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and we were the first ones, me and my mate Starks,
- 6:12Speaker 1: were the first ones to congratulate Roger like he looked
- 6:15Speaker 1: at us and well because his family weren't there that
- 6:18Speaker 1: year for whatever reason, he looked at us and we were.
- 6:20Speaker 1: We were we were Roger's team main star.
- 6:24Speaker 2: There's a picture, isn't that?
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yes?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Posted of me, me and my mate Starks and just
- 6:30Speaker 1: look actually there's one of just me and Roger just
- 6:33Speaker 1: it's like a selfie. He's on court, but he's smiling.
- 6:36Speaker 1: He knows photo.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Federer, when's another grand slam in his first picture?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Is it's wonderful? Picture wonderful?
- 6:46Speaker 2: I mean, you are like a huge tennis fan. Obviously
- 6:50Speaker 2: you was the how many finals have you actually been
- 6:53Speaker 2: to Pepes? Was that fetter and a doll one the best?
- 6:56Speaker 1: There was some great some Djokovic. I think Djokovic played
- 7:00Speaker 1: when that went like for like eight hours or seven hours.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It was middle of the night, and I was doing
- 7:05Speaker 1: breakfast radio at the time. I almost went straight from
- 7:07Speaker 1: the game to my job. So that was extraordinary. I
- 7:11Speaker 1: saw Djokovic's first win in a final against someone, yeah, yeah,
- 7:18Speaker 1: And I saw with my mom, who loved tennis as well,
- 7:21Speaker 1: my dear rest her soul. But she I've took han
- 7:24Speaker 1: heard of many tennis matches. Yeah, I've seen a hate.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Where was mom on the list?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Like?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Was she like third? Did you ask a few other people?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Mom was always hirst if she wanted to come, So yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 1: sometimes she couldn't be bothered. But yes, so we did see.
- 7:39Speaker 1: We had some great tennis matches.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Tennis player.
- 7:41Speaker 1: She wasn't a planer, n She's sport lovers. That's why
- 7:44Speaker 1: I got my love of sport, not from my dad really,
- 7:46Speaker 1: but from my mom. So she was absolutely calm.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I'm jealous of that that Djokovic and Adall. I want
- 7:51Speaker 2: to say twenty twelve. Was that six hour plus final
- 7:55Speaker 2: incredible to me, one of the all time up there
- 7:58Speaker 2: Slam finals as well.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So yeah, Jogovic and a dal because they both were
- 8:02Speaker 1: baseliners and the points went long, so yeah they were.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It was just unbelievably fit a couple of athletes.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Crowd behind the doll, but Djokovic took it out.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so Jogovic often doesn't have the crowd with him,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but I'm a Jokovic fan, but no.
- 8:16Speaker 2: He does, he does. Yes, the old boy thirty eight
- 8:20Speaker 2: years old, these showing up.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I have to respect the guy.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a time, especially in Australia, I was
- 8:25Speaker 1: probably around the pan playing Jemmy or whatever. We got
- 8:28Speaker 1: where where he didn't want to get in the facts whatever,
- 8:30Speaker 1: but there we go. But actually and people thought he
- 8:34Speaker 1: was arrogant and whatever. But I once I was downstairs
- 8:38Speaker 1: after a match and again they said do you want
- 8:40Speaker 1: to left hont I'm like, yeah, I'll go in one
- 8:43Speaker 1: of those, you know, one of the key cars. So
- 8:46Speaker 1: I got a left him in one of those key cards,
- 8:48Speaker 1: which if you live in Melbourne you see them around
- 8:50Speaker 1: generally just tennis playground for the whole tournament and the
- 8:54Speaker 1: older lady who was driving. I said to her if
- 8:56Speaker 1: he had any one famous in the car. He goes, yeah, yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 1: all of them. I said, who do you? She said,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I love Djokovic. She said that he had won the
- 9:03Speaker 1: tournament maybe the year before, and she was lucky enough
- 9:06Speaker 1: to drive him and his mates home or around Melbourne.
- 9:09Speaker 1: She said he was the nicest guy, just the bloody
- 9:12Speaker 1: She said, he's a real gentleman and didn't have to
- 9:13Speaker 1: be anyway. That's and for any Drogovic haters, just that
- 9:17Speaker 1: story really made me think, oh, he must be a
- 9:19Speaker 1: nice guy.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah great. And then because you grew up playing like
- 9:23Speaker 2: I actually don't know your history with the sports.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I loved it. I never played like I never really
- 9:28Speaker 1: played in tournaments. But there was an Ashvelt court on
- 9:31Speaker 1: the tech school near my house and me and my
- 9:34Speaker 1: cousin Joe would play all the time all summer, would
- 9:37Speaker 1: play tennis, so tennis and cricket so Bashfeld bitch.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah. It was not a good court with holes and
- 9:44Speaker 1: it was free and yeah, so we had a we
- 9:46Speaker 1: had an epic matches like me and Goldstein's matches. Basically,
- 9:49Speaker 1: we do have some battles, yes, yeah, my cousin Joe.
- 9:53Speaker 1: He would the tactic would if you were you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: if the other guy was on a bit of a
- 9:57Speaker 1: had momentum. You just throw your racket over the fence
- 9:59Speaker 1: as far wis you can so you can take time
- 10:04Speaker 1: to go get it. Like your thoughts.
- 10:06Speaker 2: That's interesting. I noticed a lot of like shoe tying.
- 10:09Speaker 2: When I seem to have a bit of a lead.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Time to breathe, he just goes and.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Goes playing the age card.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I haven't been fitness, but lately I feel he's got fitter,
- 10:23Speaker 1: even though he doesn't look like he has.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I have a tubby bitch.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Wedding.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yeah he did.
- 10:32Speaker 2: That's probably when I was playing my best.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Blame man, what's happened?
- 10:41Speaker 1: She's fattening him up?
- 10:42Speaker 2: So was wanting exactly. So the French Open's coming up,
- 10:52Speaker 2: like your tennis watching as a spectator, are you watching
- 10:57Speaker 2: like the thousand events or just.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Coming out like generally just watch an Australians playing. I
- 11:02Speaker 1: watched some are patriots, So I treat all the Australian
- 11:04Speaker 1: players like that my children. So yeah, did you hear?
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:07Speaker 1: If any listening, yeah you're listening. But you can get
- 11:10Speaker 1: my will if you call him the lessons I'm not
- 11:15Speaker 1: put in the world. Not that I'm sure you make
- 11:18Speaker 1: money yourself, but it's not easy. Some of those players
- 11:19Speaker 1: don't make money, much money. Years ago he was I
- 11:25Speaker 1: think it was number one hundred in the world and
- 11:27Speaker 1: barely scraping by imagine, if you're the hundreds of most
- 11:30Speaker 1: successful accounting in the world, you're doing okay, hundredth comedian, yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 1: one hundred tennis players on the on the breadline.
- 11:39Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 11:41Speaker 1: They're trying to improve that, I think, but.
- 11:42Speaker 2: They are trying to improve it. There is a great book,
- 11:44Speaker 2: I think I brought it up before, called The Racket,
- 11:46Speaker 2: and it's all about the players on the Challenger Tour
- 11:50Speaker 2: and the Future's Tour, and it's like it's comparable to
- 11:54Speaker 2: comedy because a lot of them are just kind of
- 11:56Speaker 2: scraping by going from city to.
- 11:57Speaker 1: City, living in the car car.
- 11:59Speaker 2: That's stuff. And it's fascinating because the guy who wrote
- 12:02Speaker 2: the book was playing in the air of the Big Three. Yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 2: so he's, you know, occasionally in the same circles as them,
- 12:09Speaker 2: and you're just seeing someone it's you know, like when
- 12:11Speaker 2: I see you backstage at a it's like me, you know,
- 12:17Speaker 2: just struggling and then all of a sudden, the icon
- 12:20Speaker 2: the myth.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But I'm backstaged all those gigs, you know.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Yeah, we love and respect I mean the trenches the
- 12:31Speaker 4: whole time.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not about the money for me. Luckily You've
- 12:36Speaker 1: had made some good investments anyway, you never know, they
- 12:39Speaker 1: can go pair shape. The world's changing.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So Australian players are like your children. Raffa is your boy? Right?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Is your boy named Rauffa?
- 12:50Speaker 1: Raffiti?
- 12:50Speaker 4: Yes?
- 12:50Speaker 1: I want to go in Rafael, but I mean I'm
- 12:53Speaker 1: Irish background, so Raphael Huges but is raffiti? So yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: so Rafa. But it wasn't really over Rafa Adar. I
- 13:03Speaker 1: love Raffas, but yeah, I'm I love. My first Australian
- 13:09Speaker 1: Open finals I went to was the nineteen eighty six
- 13:12Speaker 1: finals where Pat Cash and I was the legend, played
- 13:16Speaker 1: Stephan Edberger, Swedish legend, and it was five sets. It
- 13:20Speaker 1: was the last, the last Grand Slam played actor Kuyon
- 13:25Speaker 1: on grass before they moved to where we are now
- 13:27Speaker 1: at Melbourne Park and so and it was an extraordinary
- 13:31Speaker 1: match but Edinburgh won. That hurt me. I was I
- 13:35Speaker 1: was fifteen or sixteen at the time. And I was.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I did not grow up with any you know, my
- 13:40Speaker 1: parents were working class and they looked after us, but
- 13:44Speaker 1: we didn't have money for I got enough money working
- 13:47Speaker 1: a part time job at Woolworth to go to the
- 13:50Speaker 1: Australian Open Final. That's how the world has changed. I
- 13:54Speaker 1: think now to get the austrain Open Final, you'd have
- 13:56Speaker 1: to work probably full time at Woolies for four years.
- 13:58Speaker 3: You have to be Dave us now still struggle.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, back in the day, but yeah, Coo Young was
- 14:05Speaker 1: a it was a greatble.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Have you ever have your kids ever tried tennis? Did
- 14:10Speaker 4: you force it on?
- 14:12Speaker 1: My daughter played tennis at school last year, but she's yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: it wasn't not a ball going in. And I'm keen
- 14:19Speaker 1: for them because racket sports, they say the best thing
- 14:21Speaker 1: for your brain. Really, yes, you want to live a
- 14:24Speaker 1: long time tennis that tennis players live longer than anyone else.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I've heard this before. The split second decision making and all.
- 14:32Speaker 1: The decisions you've got to make when you're playing.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so it keeps your brain. And then it's the
- 14:37Speaker 2: obviously lateral movement, short bursts of movement. It's like fitness wise,
- 14:41Speaker 2: it's just gonna cardiovascularly keep you healthy forever.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And the social aspect as well. But tennis players in
- 14:47Speaker 1: general apparently lived nine years longer than any other.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Sport socially though. I mean, when we play us, you
- 14:54Speaker 2: don't say a word to me the whole you don't
- 14:57Speaker 2: even look me in the eye.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Got about at the start, like, hey, how you going
- 15:02Speaker 3: to start?
- 15:03Speaker 1: We'll have a bit early on, and then afterwards we played,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but I don't want to get distracted focus.
- 15:09Speaker 2: He has a method. He'll tell me if I'm winning,
- 15:11Speaker 2: how well I'm playing, or like compliment my forehand or something.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So because he knows that I'm weak on that chart.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And I played a guy the other I play another
- 15:23Speaker 1: guy play quite regularly. He's got his own court, so
- 15:25Speaker 1: I go to his house. But he has a ball
- 15:29Speaker 1: toss that can go anywhere, like it'll just like it'll
- 15:31Speaker 1: take four or five throws in the air. And I
- 15:34Speaker 1: sort of gently mocked his ball toss one day, but
- 15:37Speaker 1: then he locked in from that moment. And so you
- 15:41Speaker 1: don't mock the player you're playing. Compliment them, but don't
- 15:46Speaker 1: don't sledge them, because it can really become fuel for them.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Compliments are worse.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I know, absolutely so compliment away, but do not mock
- 15:54Speaker 1: them because they no, no, no.
- 15:56Speaker 2: No, I won't mock my if he compliments me and
- 16:00Speaker 2: then I start missing that shot.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean it's what it is. You know
- 16:05Speaker 1: what I've decided that last time we're playing, which helped me.
- 16:08Speaker 1: In between points, you don't have to focus. I was
- 16:10Speaker 1: focusing too much.
- 16:11Speaker 3: You get Yeah, bring that playfulness.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah only lot for the last couple of seconds, but
- 16:17Speaker 1: in between, just just let your mind relax. That was
- 16:20Speaker 1: the latest thing that in our last game that helped me.
- 16:23Speaker 1: So I'm going to bring that back.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I I even call myself, you know, a mental
- 16:29Speaker 2: Can you say, a mental little person.
- 16:35Speaker 3: On the golf course. Oh, I'm so bad at this.
- 16:37Speaker 4: I'm like, you haven't played pages and fine, so what
- 16:40Speaker 4: are you talking about?
- 16:42Speaker 1: His own worst enemy? You got to get in your
- 16:45Speaker 1: own corner. Helps as a Whitney once sun or the
- 16:50Speaker 1: greatest love of all learning to love yourself.
- 16:53Speaker 3: That's beautiful.
- 16:55Speaker 2: But I get in my own head a bit. I mean,
- 16:57Speaker 2: you know, there's so much sports psychology, especially tied up
- 16:59Speaker 2: with because the score can be ruthless. And last time
- 17:03Speaker 2: we played, I think I was up five to three.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I had a bunch of set points, couldn't convert, double
- 17:08Speaker 2: faulted on one of them, and then I was just
- 17:10Speaker 2: kind of ruined. He locked in, started playing consistent, and
- 17:13Speaker 2: I was just done. It's just all it takes if
- 17:16Speaker 2: you can't convert a set point or match point.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Even worse, he's his best day of his life. He's
- 17:22Speaker 4: going to replay this episode over and over.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Just this little sound.
- 17:26Speaker 1: But I was so as a kid that I was
- 17:28Speaker 1: so nervous, and I was so like, I was so
- 17:31Speaker 1: self obsessed. I only played one tournament in my whole childhood,
- 17:34Speaker 1: and I loved the game. And it was called the
- 17:37Speaker 1: Schoolboys Down and Warnable, my hometown schoolboys tournament, and I
- 17:40Speaker 1: played my first round was against a kid who I'm
- 17:44Speaker 1: not gonna lie. His parents owned a fish and chip shop,
- 17:46Speaker 1: and he was It was the most I believe, and
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm not being mean, but probably the most overweight kid
- 17:52Speaker 1: and warnable and and but I was so nervous. I
- 17:56Speaker 1: couldn't get a serving serving and I couldn't do so
- 18:01Speaker 1: he beat me, and I remember in my big I'm crying.
- 18:04Speaker 3: That was it.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I'm a loser and never played another official match again.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That's terrible.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Where is he now though you know relation, maybe he's
- 18:20Speaker 2: well if you say the Aussie players feel like kids,
- 18:22Speaker 2: do you I mean, who do you like at the moment?
- 18:24Speaker 2: Who do you think is like actually going to get
- 18:26Speaker 2: to the second week of the French I.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Mean, I love I love the demon, but I just
- 18:30Speaker 1: wish you could get over the line against the top players,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you know, So, yes, it would be great to get
- 18:34Speaker 1: to get into a semi would be good. Now we
- 18:37Speaker 1: got to a semi yet, I.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Ye, quarters, I think just quarters. Well, he's having a
- 18:41Speaker 2: rough season. And do you think it's because he's planning
- 18:44Speaker 2: a wedding with Katie Balter?
- 18:46Speaker 3: Is that you've had a wedding.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of pressure on the guys, no doubt,
- 18:51Speaker 1: because you get a question, you can asked questions you
- 18:53Speaker 1: don't even know what they mean. I remember that wedding
- 18:56Speaker 1: off because what do you want to do about Bonbonieri?
- 18:58Speaker 1: And so I didn't know we had any French friends.
- 19:02Speaker 1: He wants what about table runners. I'm like, I don't
- 19:04Speaker 1: know it is Kathy Freeman available? These are all questions
- 19:08Speaker 1: about the reception and stuff. I didn't understand.
- 19:11Speaker 3: There's a lot going on. I mean, you've had a wedding,
- 19:13Speaker 3: had a wedding.
- 19:14Speaker 2: But I just outsourced my wife just planned everything.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah outsoist to your wife.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'm not making decisions like I think I
- 19:24Speaker 2: found the best method. Would you if she presented me
- 19:26Speaker 2: with a decision about like a centerpiece on the table
- 19:29Speaker 2: or whatever, you just go, oh, yeah, I see what
- 19:32Speaker 2: you're looking at here, And I think you're correct.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You've got to focus enough you're actually thinking about. Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 1: you know what I didn't do. I didn't lose weight
- 19:45Speaker 1: for my wedding like mine did, so yeah, I was
- 19:47Speaker 1: actually put on weight. So my wife was disappointed. But
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, but now we can look back on my
- 19:52Speaker 1: wedding photos and I don't look like I've let myself go.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So actually, I.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Mean it was only last year.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Am I the fattest kid and mortable at the moment?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Such a relafe to bat you last time? So I
- 20:07Speaker 1: can beat the fattest kid.
- 20:11Speaker 4: No, I haven't noticed, Jeu, And I'm going back to
- 20:16Speaker 4: the States.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'm only going to.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Get fat, big serving serving. I've never been in the
- 20:24Speaker 1: US open is that fun?
- 20:26Speaker 2: I love it. I mean, my sister lives in Queens,
- 20:28Speaker 2: so it's just like one subway stop down to where
- 20:32Speaker 2: the grounds are and it's uh, it's look for me.
- 20:35Speaker 2: The Australian Open is way better facilities by more of
- 20:39Speaker 2: a party vibe, but the US is like old grounds.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It's kind of this uh sterile just concrete slabs, you
- 20:47Speaker 2: know what I mean. It just doesn't look as aesthetic
- 20:49Speaker 2: or nice as the AO. Wimbledon obviously has the history
- 20:52Speaker 2: and the tradition.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And I went for the first time last year.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It was amazing worth it right, like.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Absolutely and we had to pay you for the tickets
- 21:02Speaker 1: to thank god that my wife and daughters wanted to
- 21:04Speaker 1: go to the Harry Potter Museum instead.
- 21:06Speaker 3: So oh so you went to Wimbledon just with my son,
- 21:09Speaker 3: So yeah, that is a win.
- 21:10Speaker 1: There was a win for everyone. So yeah, but it
- 21:13Speaker 1: was it's smaller than you think.
- 21:14Speaker 3: It is tiny, it's quite compact.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, there's just no more space and it does feel yeah, oldie,
- 21:21Speaker 1: it feels old, real old school, but.
- 21:22Speaker 3: You're just doing the outer court.
- 21:24Speaker 1: No, we did get we bought tickets for the main
- 21:27Speaker 1: you had to basically because there was no there was
- 21:29Speaker 1: no like in austral Open, which is great. You can
- 21:31Speaker 1: turn up you know, on the on the day mostly
- 21:34Speaker 1: and buy like a ground pas. You can't do it
- 21:36Speaker 1: over there. It's it's ballots and stuff. So but so
- 21:38Speaker 1: we had to buy tickets to one of the main courts,
- 21:41Speaker 1: but we did go to on an outside court to
- 21:42Speaker 1: see in Australia played Jordan Thompson and yeah, it became
- 21:45Speaker 1: a news story. But it was like three rows of
- 21:48Speaker 1: seeding up and you can look this up. Three roads
- 21:50Speaker 1: of seeding. I think it's a third round maybe, So
- 21:53Speaker 1: he's playing a Frenchman and so the winner was like
- 21:56Speaker 1: what they win two hundred and fifty pounds and for
- 21:58Speaker 1: those guys that is a lot of money. He's not broke,
- 22:01Speaker 1: but it's still they're not number one players. So and
- 22:04Speaker 1: Layton Hill was on the other side of the court
- 22:06Speaker 1: cheering him on. And but then it's one in, one
- 22:10Speaker 1: out for those courts, so you just got to line
- 22:12Speaker 1: up and when someone leaves you get to just sit there.
- 22:14Speaker 1: So three rows of seating and we're in the second round.
- 22:16Speaker 1: There's guy two English guys sat behind us. In the
- 22:19Speaker 1: last set. It's the five set. It was an epic
- 22:21Speaker 1: match and they just started having the loudest conversation like
- 22:23Speaker 1: they were down at the boozer. They were not interested
- 22:26Speaker 1: in the.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Game, and what was it about? Do you remember?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Just I don't know their own lives, but it was
- 22:31Speaker 1: loud and like Jordan Doms is like five meters away
- 22:33Speaker 1: from a serving. I'm like, guys, my son, actually, sid
- 22:36Speaker 1: you're going to tell them to shut up. I'm like,
- 22:37Speaker 1: my son's like six seven. I said, why don't you
- 22:39Speaker 1: tell me? But he said it's not my role. So
- 22:42Speaker 1: I eventually did time to shut up. And with English bloke,
- 22:45Speaker 1: big English bloke.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You went straight to shut up or do you Was
- 22:49Speaker 2: it a shoe?
- 22:49Speaker 1: No, it wasn't. I wasn't that aggressive. Actually he was aggressive.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You do a few look back, So.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I just didn't and that wasn't helping. So I said,
- 22:57Speaker 1: can we just just keep the noise down? We're trying
- 22:59Speaker 1: to watch match, and this guy's things goes. He really's
- 23:02Speaker 1: got really aggressive at me, like no one had ever
- 23:05Speaker 1: time to sharp his entire life. He said, who are you?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Obviously didn't recognize the comedy stylings dabies, He said, are
- 23:13Speaker 1: you little Hitler? He called me a little hitler. You've
- 23:16Speaker 1: offended because I googled and Hitler's on like three centimes
- 23:19Speaker 1: tall and Hitler. I said, I'm big Hitler to you
- 23:21Speaker 1: mates so much nice.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say I had to
- 23:24Speaker 2: google Hitler and not.
- 23:25Speaker 1: A good about that. So but yes, anyways, so he
- 23:30Speaker 1: did shut up and thank god, and Jordan Thompson won
- 23:33Speaker 1: the match, and then people around has got photos with
- 23:36Speaker 1: me after the match and.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Popular and so you thought it was going to come
- 23:41Speaker 2: the fisticuffs.
- 23:42Speaker 1: It was a little bit nerve wracking. I'm not gonna lie.
- 23:45Speaker 1: So but as soon as the match happened, I went
- 23:47Speaker 1: on Instagram and told the story and I became a
- 23:50Speaker 1: news story about in Australia, which I was very happy.
- 23:52Speaker 2: About, right news dot com dot.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Yeah it's still man, they ran with it and yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: so I was happy with that. So but yeah, but
- 24:00Speaker 1: I mean, obviously it's stand up comedy. Want people to shop,
- 24:03Speaker 1: don't we so annoying?
- 24:04Speaker 4: But you can't talk during Some people think they can,
- 24:07Speaker 4: oh yeah, when they're drunk, especially drunk.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Women probably the worst.
- 24:15Speaker 4: So many what ones, they're the ones that you gotta
- 24:19Speaker 4: be careful.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Here's kind of the big question we've been It's obviously
- 24:23Speaker 2: the huge news of the year. Alcoriz is out with
- 24:25Speaker 2: an injury going into the French so center, it's just
- 24:29Speaker 2: looking like a cakewalk for him. Do you think men's
- 24:32Speaker 2: tennis is not as good because of the dominance of
- 24:37Speaker 2: one guy at the moment?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Well, it's it's interesting, isn't it, Because obviously in women's
- 24:43Speaker 1: tennis there's just there's no one dominant, so no one
- 24:47Speaker 1: really gets to stand out as much you can, because
- 24:49Speaker 1: that's sort of they share it around a lot.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Sabalanca, Rebecca and looking like the big
- 24:54Speaker 2: two over there, but then it's like a slim it's
- 24:57Speaker 2: it's kind of a handful of women that kind of
- 24:59Speaker 2: pushed through. So yeah, but it's harder to predict for sure.
- 25:02Speaker 1: But it is a weird one because when people come
- 25:04Speaker 1: they want to see the big stars, don't they. So
- 25:06Speaker 1: and if if all the results are random, well there's
- 25:09Speaker 1: really no big star to or degree. But when you
- 25:13Speaker 1: do go watch a match, you want to think that
- 25:15Speaker 1: both can win. So yeah, I don't know, but obviously
- 25:18Speaker 1: we want some unless he was Australian. If Sinner was Australian,
- 25:22Speaker 1: we hope that everyone else was injured and he got
- 25:24Speaker 1: to play against you know, people rank four hundred in
- 25:26Speaker 1: the world, so that we could all feel great about
- 25:28Speaker 1: well I could. I mean, you're American, but I'm both
- 25:32Speaker 1: come on, all right, I'm by all right game, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: was playing Shelton. Who do you go for?
- 25:40Speaker 3: You go for shelter, Shelter.
- 25:47Speaker 1: So yeah, let's hope that Sinner does have some rung.
- 25:50Speaker 2: But if Trump and Elbow they got in a boxing ring,
- 25:53Speaker 2: I want Albow.
- 25:56Speaker 3: I don't know if he could.
- 25:57Speaker 2: No, I watched the ship out of that that would
- 25:59Speaker 2: be amazing.
- 26:00Speaker 1: And then yes, so that would be amazing. We forget
- 26:03Speaker 1: the Trump's about ninety seven years old.
- 26:05Speaker 4: He's like she's eighty.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's got some beef on him though. He's
- 26:11Speaker 2: a big boy. Have you seen the picture of him
- 26:14Speaker 2: playing tennis where he's just got the most gigantic ass
- 26:17Speaker 2: you've ever seen.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you have large drawers, so they called drawers large
- 26:24Speaker 1: yead grandma?
- 26:24Speaker 2: And so who do you like for the French? Then
- 26:29Speaker 2: on the women's and the men's.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Well, well, I mean sab is hard. She is actually
- 26:35Speaker 1: very good. How many she won now she got off
- 26:38Speaker 1: five is what I mean. I know it's were a
- 26:41Speaker 1: few years down the track, but ash party getting bored
- 26:44Speaker 1: with being a mother.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Get her back.
- 26:48Speaker 1: She can afford the child care. Come on, that really
- 26:52Speaker 1: annoyed me because she's so good and she just like
- 26:56Speaker 1: just got to the peak. Really, Oh god, you see
- 27:00Speaker 1: doing ads and you think you don't need to do
- 27:02Speaker 1: these ads, you just need to win some tournaments. Go back,
- 27:05Speaker 1: surely you're sick of doing.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Come on, abandoned your young family.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Come on, she was given us so much joy and.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Then she just.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Pulled the pin.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I bet you could get the CEO of Channel nine
- 27:22Speaker 2: to like cut off a leg to get ash party
- 27:25Speaker 2: back and there.
- 27:26Speaker 1: That must have been so sad when she retired. Come on, Brady,
- 27:32Speaker 1: with her winning straight over over the off track.
- 27:35Speaker 4: I've read because of her coach, her mental coach, Ben Crow. Yes, yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 4: have you read any of his books?
- 27:41Speaker 1: Well, I know that he coached also Dusty Martin, who's
- 27:44Speaker 1: in the NFL Star who got three Best on Grounds
- 27:48Speaker 1: and three Grand Finals, which is.
- 27:50Speaker 4: He's pretty incredible. But you you read the book and
- 27:52Speaker 4: you're like, oh, yeah, I'm going to quit. I'm going
- 27:54Speaker 4: to quit whatever I'm doing and focus on my life.
- 27:59Speaker 4: It's all about like, yeah, doing what you want to
- 28:02Speaker 4: do as a human. It changes your perspective on what
- 28:05Speaker 4: you're doing. And I guess Ash was like just just
- 28:08Speaker 4: doing tennis and keep going and like winning, and she's like,
- 28:11Speaker 4: is this going to make me happier if I win.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Any more Grand Slams? And she's like, I don't.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Think it would, but would have made me happy.
- 28:17Speaker 3: It would have made the country.
- 28:19Speaker 1: There's millions of Australian sports fans who every time in
- 28:22Speaker 1: Australian wins anything, I just get an adrenaline rush, you know,
- 28:24Speaker 1: I get a dopamine.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Weren't you playing tennis with Russell? Yes?
- 28:36Speaker 1: I thank you for that. Yes, just be careful if
- 28:39Speaker 1: you're on Russell Crow's side, if you're like playing doubles
- 28:42Speaker 1: with Russell and you're his partner, you get blamed.
- 28:45Speaker 4: If you're ever in that situation where you're playing clubs
- 28:49Speaker 4: in Sydney.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah if you yeah, if
- 28:54Speaker 1: the balls in the middle of between you and neither
- 28:57Speaker 1: of you get it, it will be your fault. So
- 29:00Speaker 1: even though you want to say, Russell, that was close
- 29:02Speaker 1: to you, but you don't say that because you're scared.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Because imagine Maximus is because he missed a volley, was.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Playing with Russell once in Sydney and then someone walked
- 29:14Speaker 1: past the court and just recognized me and not him.
- 29:18Speaker 1: He had a big bead. I think he's playing Zeus
- 29:20Speaker 1: in like one of the thor movies. But yes, so
- 29:22Speaker 1: he didn't. And they're talking to me and I'm like,
- 29:24Speaker 1: that's oh my god, yes, talk to him to.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Me, Oh yeah, you would have got in trouble.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I am a chubby bitch. Chubby bitch, chubby bitch.
- 29:43Speaker 4: I consume tennis a lot. On socials, it's very good.
- 29:47Speaker 4: There's a lot of craziness that happens. And I've got
- 29:50Speaker 4: a new segment called Approaching the Net, which I'm famous for,
- 29:57Speaker 4: and I'm going to bring.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Up some say the name of the segment again, it Approaching.
- 30:01Speaker 4: The Net, And I'm going to just show you a
- 30:07Speaker 4: couple of my favorite social videos from the week. This
- 30:10Speaker 4: is my Taylor Fritz, who you called Taylor Swift earlier.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah, did you pick him up on it?
- 30:17Speaker 3: No, I just let it slide that.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Taylor Fritz render Kanish match. Taylor slipped eventually coming out
- 30:24Speaker 2: on top.
- 30:28Speaker 4: You went back to Fritz, but you went I was like,
- 30:31Speaker 4: it happens out, But we've got to meet the renaissance,
- 30:34Speaker 4: some sort of renaissance fair.
- 30:36Speaker 2: It's all over America.
- 30:37Speaker 3: So I grew up with these with the Renaissance fair.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Once a year you go to a Renaissance fair and
- 30:42Speaker 2: you watch it's this old timey event and everyone dresses
- 30:45Speaker 2: medieval and you watch people joust.
- 30:50Speaker 1: We have been kryle Castle and Victoria.
- 30:55Speaker 2: It sounds similar and like it's this. It's like Carneiefolk,
- 30:59Speaker 2: but they dress up medieval and like, you know, there's
- 31:02Speaker 2: like a guy and stocks that you throw tomatoes at.
- 31:05Speaker 4: And he's a little bit of a nerd. Right, he's
- 31:07Speaker 4: a big game of this guy. But he's in he's
- 31:09Speaker 4: recently single.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Did he have that glamorous girlfriend? Didn't he?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Morgan Riddle?
- 31:14Speaker 1: Was she an actor?
- 31:15Speaker 3: In even worse?
- 31:22Speaker 4: And he's got this like V neck lace up nod
- 31:25Speaker 4: to medieval cature, but also a really weird diamond necklace.
- 31:31Speaker 2: This tells me he's taking the break up pretty hard.
- 31:38Speaker 2: To cry for help, Yeah, I mean sless medieval.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Mate, it's a first trap. He's absolutely he's he DMS
- 31:45Speaker 1: would have blown up after that. He's like, yeah, I
- 31:48Speaker 1: look at May and then he's about four million high Taylor, Yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 1: that's it all right.
- 31:55Speaker 2: You don't like it, absolutely not? I hate it, right,
- 32:00Speaker 2: I mean, the thing is, he is a honky dude,
- 32:03Speaker 2: but it's just a bizarre pivot to go to the
- 32:05Speaker 2: Renaissance Fair seemingly alone.
- 32:08Speaker 4: I reckon he had friends, then the.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Muscle shirt, the lace up.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Where does this put him going into the French? Do
- 32:16Speaker 2: you think you're worried more about his prospects or not?
- 32:20Speaker 1: Good? I think he's younger. I think he's going to
- 32:23Speaker 1: be better.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Not less distractions obviously, like before you break up with someone.
- 32:27Speaker 4: I don't know who broke up with her, but it weighs.
- 32:29Speaker 3: On your mind.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Yeah, he's probably make this free and easier while he's
- 32:33Speaker 4: at the Renaissance Fair, so he's kind of free trying
- 32:36Speaker 4: to I don't think she would have gone to Hessance.
- 32:38Speaker 2: No, no, he's there trying to pick up a new one. Yes,
- 32:41Speaker 2: he's on a one hunt.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Good luck to him. We love you, Taylor Swift.
- 32:49Speaker 4: All right, My next one is oh, okay, yes, okay,
- 32:54Speaker 4: this is crazy. This happened overnight al Crez whilst he's injured.
- 33:00Speaker 4: He's done a Vanity Fair cover, and to be honest,
- 33:03Speaker 4: the cover looks quite tasteful.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So that's not the cover shot.
- 33:06Speaker 1: That's the sealed section. I think that one.
- 33:10Speaker 3: I mean, gorgeous, but so awkward.
- 33:17Speaker 1: My god, it's so funny, all right, that is it's crazy.
- 33:25Speaker 4: So he's done this Vanity Fair cover shoot and the
- 33:29Speaker 4: cover's great, the cover looks good, but the BTS that's
- 33:32Speaker 4: been going.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Around on socials is insane.
- 33:35Speaker 2: It's just like spreading dirt on him.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they've really taken advantage of him. I don't
- 33:40Speaker 3: know they have.
- 33:43Speaker 1: He would have gone in and knowing that was going
- 33:44Speaker 1: to happen. It happens by degrees.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Yeah, but there's been a social media manager in the
- 33:51Speaker 4: corner just shooting this BTS and this guy's algoraz is like,
- 33:55Speaker 4: I don't not even noticing this person, and then the
- 33:58Speaker 4: footage that's come out as so funny. But then I
- 34:01Speaker 4: read the article. Can I just read you the first
- 34:05Speaker 4: paragraph of this Vanity Fair article about one of the
- 34:08Speaker 4: world's best tennis players. We're watching our Koraz roll around
- 34:14Speaker 4: a brick orange clay, but we're not watching him play tennis.
- 34:17Speaker 4: There's some of it on his face, around his thick
- 34:19Speaker 4: eyebrows and sprinkled above his lips. It's slightly dusted of
- 34:23Speaker 4: his freshly trimmed beard, and his hair longer than usual,
- 34:27Speaker 4: a little disheveled. It's all over his clothing too, a
- 34:30Speaker 4: Louis vertungue tank top that he'll occasionally let slide up
- 34:34Speaker 4: his trute abdomen. Some Nike Jim shorts in brackets six
- 34:40Speaker 4: inches in seam in case you're wondering, close bracket. Yes,
- 34:46Speaker 4: that off for a glimpse at his tan line and
- 34:49Speaker 4: his personal Rolex watch. Al Koraz, like many athletes of
- 34:53Speaker 4: his stature, has lucrative apparel contracts. In his case with
- 34:56Speaker 4: those brands, he's not quite a style art con though
- 34:59Speaker 4: he has his fascinations, like wearing zany highlighted colored looks
- 35:03Speaker 4: on the court. And he's three hundred plus strong sneak
- 35:05Speaker 4: a collection, but he wears clothes well, it's basically erotically.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah, this is bad. This is Penthouse letters to the editor.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Yea, if you're in dust pawn, this is poor guy.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Like.
- 35:17Speaker 2: What annoys me though, is he's not even playing Clay.
- 35:20Speaker 2: He's had the injury, so this is all posturing.
- 35:23Speaker 3: This was booked in ages, but also Clay is in sexy.
- 35:27Speaker 2: When it's all over your white outfit, it looks like
- 35:29Speaker 2: he's had explosive diarrhea.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Like it's like bad fake ten that's come off.
- 35:36Speaker 1: A lot of women looking at young Oh my god,
- 35:38Speaker 1: imagine having to wash that stuff. I know, I get
- 35:40Speaker 1: that a lot of n.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah, he looks I feel like they did him.
- 35:48Speaker 2: But that's.
- 35:50Speaker 1: You can get.
- 35:51Speaker 4: But I mean, the actual cover is beautiful, Like, he
- 35:53Speaker 4: looks great. He would have signed off on that, which
- 35:58Speaker 4: I'm sure is great. But the BTS socials that are
- 36:01Speaker 4: doing the rounds and like he didn't see those did not.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It's only then you got to do all the surfaces.
- 36:08Speaker 2: You've got to do a grass stained one and then
- 36:11Speaker 2: he'll just be rolling around on.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Just bloodyhere be like, yeah, you'll just be burnt basically
- 36:20Speaker 1: from the hot core.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Degrees. All right, my next one.
- 36:27Speaker 4: So we had the met Gala last week, controversial met
- 36:31Speaker 4: gala sponsored by Bezos, but Naomi our Sucker was there
- 36:35Speaker 4: along with Serena and Venus. They were all there and
- 36:39Speaker 4: Naomi famously loves fashion and she was there and we've
- 36:43Speaker 4: got this this look that she's doing, which is like
- 36:47Speaker 4: a I think it's a nod to her Japanese heritage.
- 36:51Speaker 3: I'm not sure about it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: They're long, they're long, false.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Giving to me.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah, the hands are creepy, but maybe that's that's the
- 36:59Speaker 4: whole thing.
- 37:00Speaker 1: To hold a racket with those.
- 37:02Speaker 4: But she loves fashion, but I never feel like it's
- 37:07Speaker 4: ever very good.
- 37:08Speaker 1: It's meant to be. It's meant to be note worthy
- 37:10Speaker 1: on suppose, but yeah, it's be careful.
- 37:14Speaker 2: The soccer stands are going to come after you.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I know.
- 37:17Speaker 4: I mean, I like her, I like what she's doing,
- 37:20Speaker 4: and I love the intent. But when I see the fashion,
- 37:25Speaker 4: the hat.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Is that's kind of cool. A painter's palette, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 37:30Speaker 2: take the pain.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Off, or like some sort of thing you put on
- 37:33Speaker 1: top of a toilet or something, some sort of a
- 37:36Speaker 1: potty you can imagine, you know what I mean. It's yes,
- 37:40Speaker 1: it's it's an artic toilet seat.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah I should yeah. And the fingernails are given no
- 37:47Speaker 2: speratu vibes.
- 37:48Speaker 3: And the kind of the red hands, Yeah I.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Should say it's not. But it's the Dracula because you.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Know what that meant?
- 37:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, only because I interviewed Sean Mchaela recently and
- 38:03Speaker 4: he has just written a book about.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yeah, SEMs written a book about Dracula.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I was like, what have you been smoking Sean.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Let's be so scared of vampires? Can I say? I will,
- 38:19Speaker 1: I will rise your beads to bed for about four
- 38:21Speaker 1: years recently. But Stephen Stephen King's book Salem's Life.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, that's a scary book.
- 38:32Speaker 1: That that was the mini series.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Actually, just one thing on this, Lizzie and I'm surprising
- 38:39Speaker 2: you with this, is that some pictures from the met
- 38:42Speaker 2: Galla were clearly AI. This one's not. But Rebecca Austin
- 38:47Speaker 2: uh I was like, did you pick up on that
- 38:51Speaker 2: it was Ai? Because she said she sent me uh
- 38:55Speaker 2: Andre Rublo wearing a crazy outfit that was obviously Yeah.
- 38:58Speaker 2: And I wrote back and I say, you're a boomer.
- 39:00Speaker 2: This is Ai And she was like, well, Lizzie, who
- 39:03Speaker 2: fell for it?
- 39:03Speaker 3: I just laughed at it.
- 39:05Speaker 4: I didn't want to tell her that it was Ai
- 39:08Speaker 4: because why, oh, she's going.
- 39:10Speaker 3: To produce me in Edinburgh. I was.
- 39:15Speaker 4: I was just I was just like, I'll let her
- 39:18Speaker 4: have this. But these guys weren't out of.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Me saying to Russell, sorry I didn't get that ball
- 39:23Speaker 1: when it was clearly closer.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 4: But there's a lot of like terrible AI content in tennis,
- 39:30Speaker 4: which I absolutely hate. I saw one the other day
- 39:33Speaker 4: and it's like a lady like beating up a guy
- 39:35Speaker 4: on the court, and you just I just go to
- 39:37Speaker 4: the comments to see I'm hoping people pick up on this,
- 39:40Speaker 4: and most people like ai ai ai, and then there's
- 39:44Speaker 4: some people like, haha, this is so funny, and I'm like,
- 39:47Speaker 4: what is wrong?
- 39:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, have you fallen for any.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I don't think so. Yeah, I didn't add reasoning aai
- 39:56Speaker 1: my whole complexion, Like they gave me teeth that were great,
- 40:00Speaker 1: but they're not my teeth.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I've seen that you're in black face in this one.
- 40:06Speaker 1: White teeth is what I mean. I mean real white teeth,
- 40:08Speaker 1: white teeth out. I won't say because.
- 40:11Speaker 3: But and that was approaching the net.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Well, husy, we gotta go play. We're gonna go have
- 40:21Speaker 2: a quick match.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Quick match. They're not quick please, you will go all die.
- 40:25Speaker 2: That's because you you the grinding rallies with this man,
- 40:28Speaker 2: because he's just like you can't get a rhythm against them.
- 40:32Speaker 2: He's just he's steering the ball around.
- 40:34Speaker 3: And that's sad.
- 40:35Speaker 4: If I catch you, guys, we love an audience, no choke,
- 40:41Speaker 4: I don't I don't need to what you guys play tennis.
- 40:44Speaker 1: It's a good yeah, but if you want to things
- 40:47Speaker 1: to do, if you want to leave after one set, eh,
- 40:49Speaker 1: because you've got you know, kids to pick up from school,
- 40:51Speaker 1: you have to concede the match I made.
- 40:54Speaker 2: We played two sets, we want one each, and he's like,
- 40:58Speaker 2: I gotta go, and I'm like and then he was like, no,
- 41:01Speaker 2: I really gotta go, and I was like, we'll say
- 41:03Speaker 2: I Dave Hughes forfeit the man.
- 41:06Speaker 1: He's rupeless. Last time we played, there was a point
- 41:09Speaker 1: where I was like four meters behind the baseline and
- 41:12Speaker 1: he's hit the ball out of court, but it hit
- 41:14Speaker 1: the bottom. He hit my shoe before I hit the ground,
- 41:17Speaker 1: literally so far back. I said, yes, it hit my foot.
- 41:20Speaker 2: We're a society, Dave, we have rules. Here's he Thanks
- 41:27Speaker 2: so much for coming in.
- 41:28Speaker 1: It's a joy.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll get you back in, I mean tennis and comedy.
- 41:33Speaker 2: We'll be back during the French Open to discuss what's happening.
- 41:38Speaker 2: I think the women's draws is going to be anybody's
- 41:40Speaker 2: bet and the men's we'll see who plays center in
- 41:43Speaker 2: the final.
- 41:45Speaker 3: All right, thank you, it's very good.
