  Speaker 1: of Jesus. And God's people said, that's right. Amen. All right, okay,

  Speaker 1: So Gospel of John and this is the Feast of Tabernacles.

  Speaker 1: Now we saw earlier this chapter how Jesus stopped moving
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: around openly in Judea by reason of the Jews. The
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: Jews desired to kill him because he healed a man
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: on the Sabbath, a man that was bound for thirty
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: eight years, and so they were jealous, angry, and bitter
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: against him because of that. And also his brothers did
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: not believe in him, and they told him to go
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: openly into Judea, make yourself open, a public figure, basically,
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: But Jesus went secretly to the feast. And so now
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: there's a great division. They want to know who he is. Hey,
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: we're gonna look at this because it comes down to
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: our decision as well. Who is is Jesus a man?
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: So we're gonna pick it up in verse twenty five
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: and we're gonna read it all the way to verse
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: twenty seven, and it says, now some of the some
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: of them from Jerusalem, said, is this not he whom
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: they seek to kill? I remember the Jews were seeking
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: to kill him, and they were looking for him to
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: see if he would come to the feast. And here
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: he is, right, And so the Jews are asking is
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: this not he whom they seek to kill? But look,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: he speaks boldly, and they say nothing to him. Do
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: the rulers know indeed, that this is truly Christ? However,
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: we know where this man is from. But when the
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: Christ comes, no one knows where he is from. Now,
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: this is actually just a tradition that the scripture doesn't
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: say that. Particularly, they think that he's gonna pop up
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: like a superhero. Right, he's not gonna have a parent,
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: he's not gonna have never went to school, he's not
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: gonna grow up amongst them, right. They just think he's
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: just gonna appear. But that's not necessarily what the scriptures say.
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: Because the scriptures, there's a I would assign you some homework.
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: Look up the prophecies concerning the Christ, the life of Jesus.

  Speaker 1: There are prophecies that says that he is born of
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: a virgin. This prophecy says that out of Egypt he
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: was called. This prophecy says that he is from Bethlehem.

  Speaker 1: You know that we know where he's coming from, right,
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: and so this is not necessarily accurate. Now, now this
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: is ironic that this crowd things they know about Jesus
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: and his origin, when in truth, they have no idea
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: about his heavenly origin. You see, their knowledge of his
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: earthly hometown blinded them to his divine nature. People often
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: think they got Jesus figured out, but they don't know
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: the half of it. Really, many today still know about
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: him but don't truly know him. You can't be saved
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: by information alone, but only by revelation. There's a difference.
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: Information you can gather arbitrarily. You can look it up
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: on the internet. I mean, think about ai right. The
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: Bible says in the last days, knowledge will increase. Revelation
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: is intimate. Revelation is what you experience between a husband
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: and a wife. Your wife reveals herself to her husband.
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: You should know your spouse on a level that nobody
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: else will ever know. And that's the relationship we need
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: to have with Jesus. We need to allow Jesus to
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: reveal himself to us. That's how we got the Bible
• 10:10
  Speaker 1: we have today by divine revelation. Hey, man, don't think
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: you know Jesus and all about Jesus. How many times
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: have you encountered people who think they know Jesus or
• 10:26
  Speaker 1: they just dismiss him, or you know, he's this is
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: going to be the hottest topic of all eternity. Jesus Amen.

  Speaker 1: Twenty eight and twenty nine. That Jesus cried out as
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: he talked in the temple. Now this is amazing. I
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: love my Jesus, Amen, even though this controversy, even though
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: they're trying to tell them, hey, these people don't like you,
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: they're abut to kill you. Like he's in the midst
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: of the temple crying out teaching him. Now, that's bold,
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: that's that's that's man. That's a mainly man right there, right,
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: Jesus cry out as he taught in the temple, saying,
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: you both know me, and you know where I am from.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: And I have not come of myself, But he who
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: sent me is true. Now this is his heavenly origin.
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: He did not come of himself. And he says, whom
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: you do not know, I know him from I am
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: from him and he sent me. And man, now this
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: is these are some bold statements, and this is hard
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: to hear. Just think about if you were standing somewhere
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: in the cafeteria in your lunch and somebody stands up
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: and they saved things like this, like I'm from heaven,
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: you do not know where I'm from. You don't know him.
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: I was sent by him. Now, of course we would
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: need to see some evidence, right which Jesus, by his works,
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: is very works and the anointance of his life proves
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: his claims are true.
• 12:29
  Speaker 2: It looks like you lost another one.
• 12:33
  Speaker 1: Now. Jesus boldly declares his divine mission as well. He
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: was sent by the Father that people knew his physical
• 12:42
  Speaker 1: origin but not his spiritual one. Now, when you walk
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: in divine purpose, you don't have to defend your calling.
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Your assignment speaks for itself.
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: Jesus didn't need validation from people because he was already
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: commissioned by God. You know what I mean. We don't
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: need that validation. You know, sometimes you're going to do things,
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: and God will have you do things that people don't understand.
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: People are gonna misinterpret, People are going to come up
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: with their own conclusion, and this might cause people to
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: ostracize you. But as long as you got God and
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: you're in God's will. I'm experiencing this right now in
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: a situation where people are misunderstanding me, my intent and
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: the things that I desire to accomplish. But I have
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: to give it over to God. I can't worry and
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: be concerned Amen, Verse thirty. Therefore they sought to take him,
• 14:01
  Speaker 1: but no one laying hands on him, because his hour
• 14:05
  Speaker 1: had not yet come. And many of the people believed
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: in him and said, when the Christ comes, will he
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: do more signs than these which this man has done. Hey, man,
• 14:24
  Speaker 1: this is awesome. Now they couldn't touch Jesus because the
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: Father's timing is perfect. His hour had not yet come.
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: Divine protection and action. I believe that when you are
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: fulfilling your purpose in your calling, you are indestructible until
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: you have finished what He had sent you to do.
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: I truly believe that now, when you're in God's timing,
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: you're untouchable. Nothing can stop the plan of God on
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: your life until your hour has come. So we need
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: to stay aligned, and let's not be afraid of that.
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: Let's not be afraid of the opposition, but know that
• 15:18
  Speaker 1: God will protect us. And this right here confirms the
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: whole situation that happened with Charlie Kirk. He finished his assignment.

  Speaker 1: There's no way God would have allowed him to leave
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: this earth without accomplishing what God intended him. To do.

  Speaker 1: Satan did not do anything. Satan cannot overpower God. Satan

  Speaker 1: cannot ford his plan or purposes. Our brother is reaping

  Speaker 1: his heavenly reward for being faithful. Amen. All right. Thirty

  Speaker 1: two through thirty six, the Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring

  Speaker 1: these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: priests sent officers to take him. Then Jesus said to them,
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: I shall be with you a little while longer, and
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: then I go to him who sent me. You will
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: seek me and not find me, and where I am
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: you cannot follow. Then the Jews said amongst themselves, where
• 16:42
  Speaker 1: does he intend to go that we shall not find him?
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: Does he intend to go to the dispersion among the
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: Greeks and teach the Greeks? What is this thing that
• 16:58
  Speaker 1: he said? You will seek me and not find me,
• 17:02
  Speaker 1: and where I am you cannot come? All right, let's
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: break all that down. You see, they couldn't find Jesus
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: one later because he would ascend to the Father. Remember,
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: Jesus has always taking us into the spiritual They were
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: spiritually blind. They couldn't go where he was going. Now
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: there's a time to speak in a time to move on.
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: Jesus knew when he needed to leave. Some people can't
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: follow you into your next season because they are not
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: willing to follow him. Let me say that again, some
• 18:01
  Speaker 1: people can't follow you into your next season because they
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: are not willing to follow him. Hey, man, sometimes we
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: have to leave people behind, or sometimes God will remove
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: people from your life. I've had this happen a lot
• 18:23
  Speaker 1: of times through the course of my ministry. And we
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: have to discern when a season is up for a
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: particular relationship or particular ministry, or we have to be
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: sensitive to the times and seasons that God has planned
• 18:48
  Speaker 1: for our lives. Amen, all right, Verse thirty seven through
• 18:55
  Speaker 1: thirty nine. On the last day of the Great Day
• 19:01
  Speaker 1: of the Feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, if
• 19:06
  Speaker 1: anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink. Now
• 19:12
  Speaker 1: this is significant for a couple of reasons. First, I
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: want to remind you about the woman at the well.
• 19:20
  Speaker 1: Remember he told her that if you knew who was
• 19:23
  Speaker 1: speaking to you, you would ask him for a drink,
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: that you will not thirst again. Now, this is a
• 19:32
  Speaker 1: theme in the Gospel of John. How many times does
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: Jesus tell us that He is the bread where you
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: will never hunger. He is the drink to where you
• 19:48
  Speaker 1: will never thirst. There is a desire in every one
• 19:53
  Speaker 1: of us, in the human soul, a desire for God.

  Speaker 1: The question that our soul is always asking us is
• 20:05
  Speaker 1: where can we find God? A lot of people try
• 20:07
  Speaker 1: to mask it, but there's a need for God in
• 20:11
  Speaker 1: each and every one of us. That's why people go
• 20:14
  Speaker 1: to gambling and drinking and drugs, and they do all
• 20:18
  Speaker 1: these things to try to mask it or escape it,
• 20:21
  Speaker 1: or they're trying to feel that void with something else,
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: but they will always come up empty. They will never
• 20:30
  Speaker 1: be satisfied. Only Christ can satisfy the soul. I keep
• 20:36
  Speaker 1: thinking about this clip I saw with Will Smith saying
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: that there's an end to fame and money like you
• 20:42
  Speaker 1: can hit I think you call it a mountain peak
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: or something like that, but you know how you can
• 20:48
  Speaker 1: hit rock bottom right where you just feel like you
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: know your life is just empty, and you hit rock
• 20:57
  Speaker 1: bottom where you can hit mountain peak, where you get
• 21:00
  Speaker 1: to the end of fame and money. There's not one
• 21:03
  Speaker 1: more thing he could buy that could make them happy,
• 21:06
  Speaker 1: or one more thing he could accomplish. He's still empty.
• 21:10
  Speaker 1: That's because there's this thirst that he can't quench outside
• 21:18
  Speaker 1: of Christ. And I also want to remind you about
• 21:21
  Speaker 1: the Feast of Tabernacles. Now they celebrate that their ancestors
• 21:31
  Speaker 1: or forefathers or in the wilderness. This was like a
• 21:35
  Speaker 1: group of like six million people. There's no way that
• 21:40
  Speaker 1: they could have sustained themselves, this large group of people
• 21:43
  Speaker 1: out in the wilderness for forty years. And remember when
• 21:48
  Speaker 1: they were like about to die of thirst, because you
• 21:56
  Speaker 1: can only go like maybe what three days without water,
• 22:00
  Speaker 1: escially in a wilderness area. They cried out to Moses,
• 22:03
  Speaker 1: and Moses was instructed to speak to the rock, but
• 22:09
  Speaker 1: he ended up striking the rock and that cost him
• 22:13
  Speaker 1: his trip into the Promised Land.
• 22:16
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 22:18
  Speaker 1: And so I think it's fitting that Jesus will stand
• 22:20
  Speaker 1: up at the last day of the feasts and cry
• 22:24
  Speaker 1: out and say that he is the living water. If
• 22:30
  Speaker 1: any man thirst, let him come and drink. He who
• 22:36
  Speaker 1: believes in me, as a scripture has said, out of
• 22:39
  Speaker 1: his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this
• 22:48
  Speaker 1: he spoke concerning the spirit of whom believing in him
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: would receive, for the Holy Spirit has not yet been given.
• 23:00
  Speaker 1: Because Jesus was not yet glorified. Now, I like how
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: the Bible is written. It has its own built in commentary.
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: Now this is John giving us commentary on what Jesus
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: was saying. Jesus was saying that if you thirst, come
• 23:24
  Speaker 1: and take up his water. John is saying that he
• 23:28
  Speaker 1: is speaking concerning the Holy Spirit. Now at that point
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: it was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified.
• 23:39
  Speaker 1: But we have the spirit now, so this is a promise.
• 23:45
  Speaker 1: Are you drinking of the spirit? Are rivers of life
• 23:50
  Speaker 1: flowing through you? What is your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
• 23:57
  Speaker 1: There's two relationships that you can have with a Holy Spirit.
• 24:00
  Speaker 1: One is he can draw you. He's drawn you to
• 24:07
  Speaker 1: believe trust in Christ. Remember Jesus said even in this chapter,
• 24:12
  Speaker 1: if the Father does not draw you, you will not
• 24:15
  Speaker 1: come to him. Secondly, once you receive Christ and He
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: comes and lives inside of you, he empowers you. He
• 24:24
  Speaker 1: instructs you, He teaches you. The Holy Spirit wants to
• 24:32
  Speaker 1: flow out of you. He's not dissatisfied with doing the
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: work in you. He helps us to renew our minds right.
• 24:39
  Speaker 1: He helps us to crucify our flesh. He helps us
• 24:42
  Speaker 1: to walk in victory, he speaks to us, He reveals
• 24:46
  Speaker 1: things to us, and then he empowers us to minister
• 24:51
  Speaker 1: to others. Have you asked the Holy Spirit, what have
• 24:57
  Speaker 1: you empowered me to do? Now, just do a good work,
• 25:02
  Speaker 1: but do a work empowered and anointed by the Holy Spirit.
• 25:11
  Speaker 1: Hey man, all right, let's go to verse forty to
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: fifty three. Therefore, many from the crowd, when they heard
• 25:25
  Speaker 1: this saying, said, truly, this is the Prophet. Now remember
• 25:33
  Speaker 1: that Moses told the nation that a prophet unlikened unto
• 25:39
  Speaker 1: me shall come him. You shall listen to. Now this
• 25:45
  Speaker 1: kind of trips up the Rabbis and the Jews because
• 25:50
  Speaker 1: they think the prophet was going to be just like Moses.
• 25:53
  Speaker 1: They didn't think he would be the son of God.
• 25:55
  Speaker 1: They think he would be a regular man like Moses.
• 26:01
  Speaker 1: And so they're still waiting on their Messiah. And they
• 26:07
  Speaker 1: say that they will know the Messiah because he will
• 26:12
  Speaker 1: help them build the Third Temple. And if you are
• 26:17
  Speaker 1: a good student of the Book of Revelation, you know
• 26:19
  Speaker 1: that there will be another temple built. And we know
• 26:23
  Speaker 1: that the anti Christ is going to enter the temple
• 26:26
  Speaker 1: in demand to be worshiped by the nation of Israel.
• 26:30
  Speaker 1: And then By then they're going to know that they
• 26:32
  Speaker 1: were deceived. They are going to flee from him, and
• 26:35
  Speaker 1: God is going to help them flee. So they're referring
• 26:39
  Speaker 1: to that prophet. Is this the prophet? Others said this
• 26:44
  Speaker 1: is the Christ? But some said, will the Christ come
• 26:49
  Speaker 1: out of Galilee? Now they didn't really know. Jesus was
• 26:53
  Speaker 1: born in Bethlehem. He is of the line of David.
• 26:57
  Speaker 1: He fulfills all the requiredment of the Messiah forty two
• 27:05
  Speaker 1: has not The scripture said that Christ comes from the
• 27:09
