- 0:00You have arrived, welcome to the as be World.

- 0:07an upbeat and informative way. And now here's your man on the
- 0:12Spectrum, your autism Ambassador.
- 0:15Daniel Morgan Jones. So this is how you know if you
- 0:21have ADHD and autism. I'm talking about five must-see
- 0:24traits that you need to know to discover all of that right now
- 0:27coming up guys. What's going on?
- 0:28My name is Dan, I have autism and ADHD and I make videos on
- 0:31this every single week. So if you're new around here and
- 0:33you want to learn more about the specific topics, make sure to
- 0:35hit the Subscribe button by clicking notification belt, down
- 0:38below and follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Tick-Tock and Twitter
- 0:41for daily videos as well because I do videos on those two which
- 0:44is super dope. Okay.
- 0:45So ADHD and autism is a coma with conditioning where You can
- 0:49have a diagnosis of both of them simultaneously or independently
- 0:53but a lot of the people and most of the people I'd say on the
- 0:55autism spectrum have a CO morbid diagnosis of ADHD now ADHD is
- 1:01attached, definite hyperactivity disorder but sometimes doesn't
- 1:04always have high productivity with it but regardless of that
- 1:07this video is awesome because I got five traits.
- 1:09I want to talk to you about that.
- 1:10You can see the crossover and these things are so challenging
- 1:14because they impact your life in so many ways.
- 1:16So the first one going to talk about is irritability and hyper.
- 1:19This so autistic people will be able to set a sit down and focus
- 1:22on a specific task or a topic. Right for large amount of time
- 1:26to be nice to sit down and want to watch Alien movies.
- 1:30Like homemade movies of UFOs in the sky, are not really sad.
- 1:33Until like 3:00 in the morning, wake up on my keyboard.
- 1:35However, the ADHD brain kicks in and makes you want to stand up
- 1:38and walk around to go downstairs, make some tea and
- 1:40then, you know you like bounce up and down and maybe walk to
- 1:43the side of the room and pause the video.
- 1:44And look at something else. I'll pause that video and look
- 1:46at something else. So it's kind of like a battle
- 1:48between one I said really focus on something and wanting to get
- 1:51up every 10 seconds and do something else.
- 1:53This is so common between Autism and ADHD.
- 1:56It's really funny because this is probably the biggest one.
- 1:58I like really sucks for me and it really, I think it annoys me
- 2:01the most, but it is what it is. We are who we are and we're all
- 2:04amazing. So that was number one.
- 2:06Okay, so number two is special interest and Rapid interest
- 2:09switching. Oh boy, let's get into it.
- 2:11So people on the autism spectrum will have a specific topic of
- 2:14interest that they're obsessed with and that they really kind
- 2:16of obsess over, right. And they love to learn about the
- 2:19lives of Certain of to talk about and you talk about it for
- 2:21hours of them to collect all the things that in that genre of
- 2:25topic. But the idiots d-brane will then
- 2:28make you want to switch your obsessive interest rapidly.
- 2:31So you have many different special interest on the gold
- 2:33ones and then soon as you've consumed enough capital on that
- 2:37thing, you move to something else.
- 2:39This is how the ADHD brain and the autism brain have this big
- 2:43fight, pretty much every single day.
- 2:46And it's really fascinating to see because you can Really be
- 2:49obsessed with many different topics and learn many different
- 2:52things. This is why a lot of people will
- 2:53say that autistic people are very intelligent.
- 2:55I have a high IQ because they're switching between these topics
- 2:57and learning a vast amount of different things all the time
- 2:59and retaining the information, which is something that I
- 3:02actually do as well. And it is again, quite a funny
- 3:05thing to talk about and I never really sit down and talk about
- 3:07it myself. This is why I'm doing this video
- 3:08because I want you guys to know what this is like and maybe you
- 3:11have it. Let me know down below.
- 3:12If these are resonating with you drop a comment down below and
- 3:14give the video a like really helps me out.
- 3:16Okay. So number three is fast speech.
- 3:19And monotone talking. So autistic individuals will
- 3:24want to talk about their special topic of interest, but they will
- 3:27have a very monotone talk. There will be no inflections
- 3:30onwards and stuff like that. I'll be very monotone.
- 3:32Almost, kind of like robotic talking but the ADHD brain will
- 3:36make you talk super fast. So I feel like I talk really
- 3:39really fast and when I'm in real life I'm talking to people have
- 3:42monitoring talking when I'm doing videos on performing.
- 3:44I'm doing this like this but if you you know if we're talking
- 3:47normally and you here with me right now, I talk like this and
- 3:49it Be very monotone talking and I would have a very rapid speech
- 3:53because ADHD wants you to speak really fast because your brains
- 3:55going like a thousand miles an hour.
- 3:58But awesome want you to have a really flat flow, you know, flow
- 4:03paste. How you talk, which is really
- 4:04interesting because it's the most frustrating thing to me
- 4:07because I trip over my words all the time.
- 4:09And I also Mumble sometimes because it's just a big, kind of
- 4:12like they're just hitting head constantly those two things,
- 4:15okay? So number four is wanting to be
- 4:17social versus social anxiety. So lots of people with ADHD want
- 4:22to be social and make friends and have fun because they want
- 4:24to do crazy stuff and they want to kind of like you know, really
- 4:27feel that friendship because friendship lasts for a
- 4:31comfortable feeling that you know that you'll be looked after
- 4:34and that you were like new loved and that there's nothing wrong
- 4:36with that. And ADHD people find interesting
- 4:37those things with this they can have a tension with different
- 4:41types of people, for short amount of time and that's great.
- 4:43On the other hand and this does go for ADHD as well.
- 4:45But on the other hand, the autism brain really does have
- 4:48social anxiety issues. Shoes.
- 4:49And so, as much as we want to go and socialize, a people will
- 4:52also find it very, very socially, anxious written to go
- 4:56to a pub, or a club or or, or an event, or a party or something
- 4:59like that. So you've got this kind of like
- 5:01against this once the gun socialize and then the want to
- 5:04also hold back from socializing because of the social anxiety
- 5:07that comes with going to a specific place which is really
- 5:10annoying. But it is what it is and it's
- 5:13kind of funny it suppose in a way but not really funny.
- 5:15You know, I mean not actually half any better, like it's quite
- 5:17interesting, isn't it? Number 5 is To talk a lot but
- 5:20then also forgetting what you want to say.
- 5:22So autistic individuals want to talk a lot about something that
- 5:25they love forever. I mean if I want to sit down
- 5:27here and talk about marketing and social media marketing and
- 5:29management, I could sit down salty but forever.
- 5:31FYI guys, if you do want to learn anything from me like
- 5:34that, drop me a comment. We can always, you know, do a
- 5:36video on that. But I love social media,
- 5:38marketing, and, and everything to Encompass that and SEO.
- 5:41You know, everything comes into Marketing in terms of the ADHD
- 5:45brain, how often do you kind of like Start saying something, but
- 5:50your brain starts wandering off. Sunny forget what you're doing.
- 5:52Like, oh my gosh, I'm set up in front of my entire family
- 5:55telling the story and now my brain has just exited the room
- 5:58and I have no idea what I'm talking about.
- 6:00Now, I have to just stop abruptly and then nobody knows
- 6:03what the end of the story is that you're like I don't even
- 6:05know what the industry's. Forgot what I'm talking about.
- 6:07This is so funny. This happens all the time and
- 6:10it's definitely it's an ADHD classic but it's also annoying
- 6:14because the artistic part of you wants to just kind of go all
- 6:16like trained in and give them this Like locomotive
- 6:20information. So that's really funny and it's
- 6:23how it they react. So do you suffer with the ADHD
- 6:25in on autism? Kind of overlap?
- 6:27Let me know in the comment down below.
