Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatables, except I've become a pathological liar.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It's got to the point now where I have just
- 0:08Speaker 1: made up my entire sex life and I don't know
- 0:11Speaker 1: how to stop the spiral. Any advice on how to
- 0:15Speaker 1: confront how I feel and stop lying to my friends
- 0:17Speaker 1: about my experiences? Wait? What relatable?
- 0:33Speaker 2: The Relatable podcast is hosted by myself, Jake Craig aka Daddy,
- 0:37Speaker 2: and my co host in crime, older Ottie Clark aka Mamacita.
- 0:46Speaker 1: That sounds sexy, And you guys are the baddies the
- 0:52Speaker 1: baddie twas? Yes, But Jake, we're back again with another
- 0:56Speaker 1: Dilemmas episode. And I wanted to say that, do you
- 1:01Speaker 1: Reckon Baddies know how the Dilemmas episodes came into fruition? Ah?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Some would, some would some ogs. I like to say
- 1:12Speaker 1: this actually happened organically, because now dilemmas are quite a
- 1:16Speaker 1: common reoccurring thing on other pods as well. But we
- 1:21Speaker 1: came up with this organically, I reckon. And when we
- 1:24Speaker 1: were in the Wooden Lodge set up or maybe eight
- 1:26Speaker 1: eight months ago, probably even longer two years ago, long
- 1:29Speaker 1: time now, It actually a long time two years ago,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I was troubled in life. I still am, and for
- 1:37Speaker 1: like six weeks I came back with Oddie's weekly dilemmas.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I've got one today, Oh do you? I wanted to
- 1:43Speaker 1: start every dilemma with your own, my own or your own?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Oh so if I have one or if you both
- 1:49Speaker 1: have one? Yeah, isn't under the right theme though, And
- 1:52Speaker 1: I think it's relatable of today's episode. I did. What
- 1:54Speaker 1: is the theme, Jake? The theme is I did something
- 1:56Speaker 1: I regret. Yeah, I can make at that, Okay, Okay,
- 2:02Speaker 1: so I did something I regret aging.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It's also out of your control exactly.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Well, my dilemma is fuck. Being an adult is hard day. Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And I didn't want to bring it too because it's
- 2:21Speaker 1: one of those problems where like when everyone's going through
- 2:25Speaker 1: something similar, it feels like you can't complain. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: But I still want to say, like, being an adult
- 2:30Speaker 1: and doing all the adult things is stressful, and obviously
- 2:35Speaker 1: we're in a privile this position, but I just want
- 2:37Speaker 1: to say it's hard, and that's my dilemma.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And it's very's and it's also very relatable.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I dare say ninety percent of the Badi's listening.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Are all adults? And what age you considered an adult?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Is it eighteen? I think by the government, Yeah, eighteen,
- 2:55Speaker 1: the government's eighteen. But I would say I frontal lobe
- 2:59Speaker 1: twenty five.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I think that I want to say, maybe this year
- 3:05Speaker 2: is the first year where I've felt adulting in like
- 3:09Speaker 2: the actual sense of the word, Like I've felt as
- 3:11Speaker 2: though I've been I have, I have proactively been adulting.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I actually adulting Is that another word for sexy time? No,
- 3:20Speaker 1: that's adultery. So we have Actually, I feel as though
- 3:24Speaker 1: this is the first year, the age of twenty five.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Is the first year where I feel as though I
- 3:30Speaker 2: have actively been adulting.
- 3:33Speaker 3: And yeah, I would say it does kind of suck.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I have the thought, it's a reoccurring thought, which
- 3:40Speaker 1: is why can life just be easy? It's interesting as well,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Like I understand the So I'm a.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Big fan of being like, well, you know, at least
- 3:52Speaker 2: we're born where we're born, We are lucky. We need
- 3:54Speaker 2: to look at it that way. But then at the
- 3:56Speaker 2: same time, you don't want to take away anyone's you know,
- 3:58Speaker 2: first will problems, the first world problem, but a problem whatever. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 2: you don't want to make anyone feels that they're not
- 4:04Speaker 2: allowed to have a problem.
- 4:05Speaker 1: But then.
- 4:08Speaker 2: My mind goes from there, like, look, no, you want
- 4:11Speaker 2: people to be able to have problems and they have feelings,
- 4:13Speaker 2: they have emotions. But then at the same time, it's
- 4:14Speaker 2: like the problem feels a lot better when you do
- 4:17Speaker 2: convince yourself that you are lucky to be in the
- 4:19Speaker 2: position you're in because you live in the first world,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and you live in Australia or America or wherever, you're
- 4:24Speaker 2: from a good place, and you have these opportunities to
- 4:27Speaker 2: end shit like that. So I'm a little on the
- 4:29Speaker 2: fence with how I feel like.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's kind of like a double ended sword in a
- 4:33Speaker 1: sense of, yeah, you feel sad, you feel like you
- 4:35Speaker 1: shouldn't be sad. You're in a good position, but you're
- 4:37Speaker 1: also in a bad position. I feel like you can't complain,
- 4:39Speaker 1: but you want to complain.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Here's my question about about how adulting's kind of stop
- 4:45Speaker 2: saying that word, how growing up is kind of lame.
- 4:50Speaker 2: It's like, do you think it's say money was no,
- 4:56Speaker 2: like just that same money wasn't a thing? You think
- 4:58Speaker 2: it would still be that way? Honestly, do you think
- 5:00Speaker 2: it was still be that way. I don't think it would.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You don't.
- 5:05Speaker 4: No.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I think that if money wasn't a thing and we
- 5:08Speaker 2: and you know, we all or just say money was
- 5:13Speaker 2: no issue or whatever, like everyone just had so much
- 5:15Speaker 2: of it, there would be other problems that arise. But
- 5:18Speaker 2: I think the things that kind of stress people out.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I could be wrong here, but very often stem from money.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I think it frees up a lot of your mindset. Yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and I guess your the thoughts you're consuming. Yeah, because
- 5:36Speaker 1: it just makes your life easier and you can think
- 5:38Speaker 1: about other things. But then you do get other problems.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But yeah, oh definitely does other problems. You know, you
- 5:42Speaker 2: can get sick, you can I don't know any anything
- 5:45Speaker 2: with a bunch of problems.
- 5:47Speaker 1: But that was my delay. You can be Celiac.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Oh you. My biggest pet peeve is when someone with
- 5:52Speaker 2: a lot of money says that money doesn't bring happiness,
- 5:55Speaker 2: because it's like, well, how about you let us experience that?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Hey, how about you let us be the judge of that.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Don't you you tell me how I will feel if
- 6:01Speaker 1: I have millions in the bank, Give me some, all right? Yeah, exactly?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Funny doesn't being happiness?
- 6:05Speaker 2: All right?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Get rid of all, yeah, get rid of yours, Jesus.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't have a dilemma this week. Oh no, I'm
- 6:15Speaker 1: in the met we you know, on the main EPs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: We're talking about I'm getting a car. Yeah, I have
- 6:20Speaker 1: a dilemma and it's and it's not something.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I regret, but I really really am trying to find
- 6:27Speaker 2: some good house shoes.
- 6:30Speaker 1: What can't go barefoot in my house?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Because no, because no matter how many times you vacuum
- 6:37Speaker 2: and mop and all that, there's always seems to be
- 6:41Speaker 2: something on the floor, huh like, And I hate it
- 6:46Speaker 2: when something gets stuck to the bottom on my feet.
- 6:48Speaker 1: What about because you're a clean streak, now, those shoes
- 6:51Speaker 1: that are like mops on the bottom. You maybe, but
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm thinking I'm leaning towards crocs, you know. Yeah, you
- 6:58Speaker 1: can get those cross concerts too, that like a fluffy
- 7:00Speaker 1: for winter. Yeah yeah, see.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, crocs for summer because there's holes.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But then comfy crocs your feet sweat a little bit,
- 7:07Speaker 1: do they? Still? That's not what I don't want. Yeah,
- 7:09Speaker 1: I don't want that. That's my dilemma though. If there's
- 7:15Speaker 1: any really good I looked up once, like house shoes,
- 7:18Speaker 1: like what she's good for house shoes. It's not really
- 7:20Speaker 1: a thing anyway.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Today's dilemmas for this week at least, is I did
- 7:27Speaker 2: something I regret. The baddies have obviously submitted their dilemmas.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Would you like me to go first?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yes? Please?
- 7:34Speaker 2: So last year I quit my job to start a
- 7:37Speaker 2: new one and broke up with my long term boyfriend,
- 7:41Speaker 2: all within a month. Two weeks after I left my
- 7:45Speaker 2: job and boyfriend, I participated in the Christmas party of
- 7:49Speaker 2: my old office, resulting in me sleeping with my old boss.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Don't see where you eat.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't actually regret the act of it, because it
- 7:58Speaker 2: was really fun and we've always had chemistry, and we
- 8:02Speaker 2: did hook up a few times afterwards. But now my
- 8:05Speaker 2: new job is not working out, and I kind of
- 8:07Speaker 2: want to return to my old job. But can I
- 8:11Speaker 2: even do that now? When I quit, it was all
- 8:14Speaker 2: you're always welcome back, But does that apply now? Part
- 8:18Speaker 2: of me thinks we can totally be professional again. But
- 8:21Speaker 2: am I delusional?
- 8:24Speaker 1: Let me just sit on my high horse. No.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think unfortunately that that job is no longer
- 8:37Speaker 2: unless that boss leaves.
- 8:39Speaker 1: But if he's the owner of the company, he's not leaving. Ah,
- 8:42Speaker 1: Could you Levy for your sexy time to get a promotion.
- 8:47Speaker 1: He said it was good. You said you do it,
- 8:49Speaker 1: You did it a few times, do it again? The
- 8:52Speaker 1: manager role? Fucking whatever you want. Yeah, I'll come back,
- 8:56Speaker 1: But what do you Reckon's worse? So ex boyfriend has
- 9:00Speaker 1: been broken up with, she then sleeps with her boss
- 9:04Speaker 1: or boy best friend. Which is worse the bees?
- 9:08Speaker 2: Ooh, that is such a good question. Um, the best friend.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I think it's worse to sleep with the best friend
- 9:19Speaker 2: than the boss.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I feel like the boss is unexpecting. I think that
- 9:23Speaker 1: the boss. The hard thing about the boss is.
- 9:26Speaker 2: When you find out, it's like I didn't even know
- 9:29Speaker 2: I had to worry about that.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And then you'd be like rethinking every single thing she's
- 9:35Speaker 4: ever said about her boss, and you'd be like, every
- 9:40Speaker 4: time she spoke about him, was she thinking about fucking him?
- 9:43Speaker 1: And that's the male mind, And it could be a
- 9:44Speaker 1: simple thing as now I'm simple, now i'm single, I'm
- 9:47Speaker 1: gonna fuck him.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Obviously, Yeah, she probably she never obviously never would have
- 9:50Speaker 2: done a while she was with her boyfriend.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but fuck I Reckon, what about four?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Obviously we can't answer this because we're not girls.
- 9:56Speaker 2: But for a girl. Is it worse for if she's
- 9:59Speaker 2: just broken up with a boyfriend? Oh no, sorry, no,
- 10:01Speaker 2: your boyfriend's just broken up with you, right? Is it
- 10:04Speaker 2: worse if he goes and sleep with this girl best
- 10:06Speaker 2: friend or his boss that is a woman, a girl?
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm kind of like against being blind
- 10:15Speaker 1: signed blind sided. Yeah, in a sense of like I
- 10:19Speaker 1: could see the girl best friend coming. Actually, yeah, you
- 10:21Speaker 1: wouldn't be all that shocked. Yeah, but if I found
- 10:24Speaker 1: out that he slept with her boss, with his boss,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'll be like, oh shit, oh shit.
- 10:30Speaker 3: But also so you don't really know the boss, so
- 10:32Speaker 3: you can't.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I think the best friend's the worst. Yeah, true, the
- 10:34Speaker 1: best friend's worse. Yeah, because also you would have said, like,
- 10:37Speaker 1: what's going on here, and he.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Was like it's fine, it's fine.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And the worst thing about it is is like the
- 10:43Speaker 2: fact that it's not a surprise.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, the worst thing about it would be I knew that.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You're like I knew it, and you'd be like, I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: a fool. This man just made a fool of me. True,
- 10:55Speaker 1: But okay, this battie in the situation is the one
- 10:59Speaker 1: who has slept with the boss.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Your question are you delusional, Yes you are.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You can't go back there? Why not? Why can't they
- 11:08Speaker 1: be responsible adults and just disassociate sex is just sex, Jake?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Sex is not just sex. I agree with you.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Sex is it's it's an intimate act.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It's sad, and it's probably not what you want to hear.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But you made your bed, now you've got to sleep
- 11:30Speaker 1: in it. Also, why do you want to go back
- 11:31Speaker 1: to the old job it's better?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Well, the new job seemed better, But in between the
- 11:39Speaker 2: new job and the old job, you have slept with
- 11:41Speaker 2: boss at old jobs. So why is now the new
- 11:43Speaker 2: job seeming sorry the old job seeming all that much better?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Maybe? Maybe to be fair, if she wanted to keep
- 11:49Speaker 1: sleeping of the boss, I could justify going back there.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But but like if you it's definitely not right. But
- 11:58Speaker 1: if you now no longer want to sleep with him
- 12:00Speaker 1: and go back, I feel like off limits. No wait,
- 12:04Speaker 1: you're saying if you wanted to keep sleeping with him,
- 12:07Speaker 1: then you should go back, like you could, you could.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I don't think you should, but I think I actually
- 12:10Speaker 1: think you're more like you should probably go When you
- 12:13Speaker 1: should go back is actually when you don't want to
- 12:15Speaker 1: sleep with him anymore, that's when you should go back. Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I'm just thinking like it's gonna be awkward, but it's.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Also a little bit like there's a little bit of
- 12:21Speaker 3: a power dynamic in there.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we haven't talked about not very good. So yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: let's lock in. Let's lock in, don't go back, don't
- 12:26Speaker 1: go back. Hopefully if he had another branch or something,
- 12:30Speaker 1: he wasn't at I mean, he's still be your boss. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I can get like a little bit sorry girl, Sorry, Okay,
- 12:38Speaker 1: my one. So I'm twenty turning twenty one and I'm
- 12:43Speaker 1: a virgin. It's not the biggest deal, but it does
- 12:47Speaker 1: make me feel insecure sometimes, So it wouldn't be an
- 12:51Speaker 1: issue except I've become a pathological liar. It's got to
- 12:55Speaker 1: the point now where I have just made up my
- 12:58Speaker 1: entire sex life and I don't know how to stop
- 13:01Speaker 1: the spiral. Any advice on how to confront how I
- 13:04Speaker 1: feel and stop lying to my friends about my experiences. Wait,
- 13:09Speaker 1: what it's to me? Like, the only one that knows
- 13:22Speaker 1: the truth. Here's here's my thing.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Like, the only time where the truth could come out
- 13:27Speaker 2: is if you've told them about people you've slept with.
- 13:29Speaker 2: That actually exist, the people actually exist, but if the
- 13:34Speaker 2: people that you also, if you're if you're creating this
- 13:36Speaker 2: sex life.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying, Like, has she said like
- 13:40Speaker 1: I slept with James and they all know James. Yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and they all know James. Or did you make up James?
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Have you made up the characters you've slept me?
- 13:46Speaker 4: Like?
- 13:46Speaker 1: Have you named him fucking Cassian? And recent shit? You
- 13:49Speaker 1: know That's what I'm saying. It's like, if it's all
- 13:51Speaker 1: made up, it's all made up. The only one that
- 13:56Speaker 1: knows the truth is you, and the only one that
- 13:57Speaker 1: can get that out is you. So I get it out.
- 14:01Speaker 1: What's the saying. It's like, once you start lying, it's
- 14:03Speaker 1: so hard to stop. It's yeah, people get like addicted
- 14:06Speaker 1: to it. Like here's my question is like what are
- 14:09Speaker 1: you telling them? Are you getting into it in the
- 14:12Speaker 1: sense of like you're making them seem like you're a
- 14:16Speaker 1: freaking ship. Well, you just got numbers on boards. I
- 14:19Speaker 1: know girls immediately go to penis size on like one
- 14:22Speaker 1: night stands. Are you going back and saying like.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Do they go to penisize immediate or they immediately going
- 14:26Speaker 2: to kind of like was it good?
- 14:28Speaker 1: I reckon girls, you think that it's straight away to peniside.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Girls get more detail than us, like I think, because
- 14:33Speaker 1: when if you say you had you were single, had
- 14:35Speaker 1: a one night stand, the only thing I would ask like,
- 14:37Speaker 1: oh it was it good? Yeah? Yeah, and then I
- 14:38Speaker 1: would stop. I wouldn't ask the details. But I think
- 14:40Speaker 1: girls like maybe was it good? How big was it?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like what you do? I can like the details way
- 14:45Speaker 1: more like obviously.
- 14:46Speaker 3: You know you're that is very you know what, very true?
- 14:49Speaker 1: And I can get into positions. But I don't know
- 14:51Speaker 1: about positions. But I feel like dick size is like
- 14:54Speaker 1: I don't know juicier because like literally yeah ah. I
- 15:00Speaker 1: want to say, though, so she's twenty and turning twenty one.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I never did it, but I did have this thought,
- 15:07Speaker 1: not that I was a virgin, but like when all
- 15:08Speaker 1: your friends are having sex, you're like, oh fuck, you
- 15:10Speaker 1: could just lie about it. I feel like everyone's had
- 15:13Speaker 1: that thought that I didn't cross the line. So I
- 15:14Speaker 1: want to say, like, although you cross the line. I
- 15:16Speaker 1: think a lot of people do think that way because
- 15:19Speaker 1: the stereotype behind being an in quotes virgin, it is
- 15:23Speaker 1: built up in your head. But there is a very
- 15:25Speaker 1: big stereotype behind it between like oh you're not like cool,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you have not said clue, like shut up? Like my
- 15:32Speaker 1: I just think, what's the point. They're telling everyone? What's
- 15:36Speaker 1: the point? But how does she stop lying?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Just well, just if you don't want it to get
- 15:40Speaker 2: any worse in terms of what it must be eating
- 15:43Speaker 2: you up a bit, yeah, maybe just stop talking about it.
- 15:46Speaker 2: And if they ask if there's any boys on the
- 15:47Speaker 2: go at the moment, you can just say, nah, a
- 15:49Speaker 2: bit of a dry spell going.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But what's happening? So a group of girls talking about whatever,
- 15:54Speaker 1: and then it comes up one of them is like, oh, yeah, yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: I've started saying so and so and like what about you, Jake,
- 15:59Speaker 1: and you go You're like, yeah, yeah, maybe they're talking
- 16:05Speaker 1: about bodycounts or something.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, true as friends, Like I feel body counts get
- 16:09Speaker 2: spoken about as friends.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I feel like it's always going to come out because
- 16:11Speaker 1: once you have sex, once you'll start from there and
- 16:13Speaker 1: then in like three years someone will ask you like, oh,
- 16:15Speaker 1: so what about what's it called? Who depends?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Like, okay, how to tell your friends?
- 16:23Speaker 1: You tell your are we locking in? Don't tell your
- 16:25Speaker 1: friends you've been lying. I would prefer I think that.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I think what I'm honestly is the best policy in
- 16:31Speaker 1: a relationship. She's got to say, cool of her friends,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but also like this, this friendship, this life she's telling
- 16:36Speaker 1: isn't doing anything in terms of harmful. No harm. If
- 16:41Speaker 1: you've made everything up, I just cut it now and
- 16:45Speaker 1: you don't have to tell anyone. But if you put actual,
- 16:47Speaker 1: real people's names in there, I think you should come clean. Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: or you need to try and sleep with them. Like seriously, girl,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you need to get your shoes ordered.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Oh, okay, next up. I'm away right now. The resort
- 17:09Speaker 2: I'm staying at is all inclusive and paid for drinks,
- 17:16Speaker 2: so she says, which is so dangerous. Hence my dilemma.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So keep in mind everything she did here she did
- 17:27Speaker 2: while very drunk. I texted my ex after going no contact.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I broke it FML. The anxiety is real. I'm struggling, hashtags,
- 17:40Speaker 2: struggles street. She was like, here's the text in quotes.
- 17:46Speaker 2: How are you question mark? Question mark? I feel weird
- 17:50Speaker 2: how things were left. And what's even worse is the
- 17:57Speaker 2: three hour time difference. I texted him at twelve am,
- 18:02Speaker 2: like the stupid fuck I am. So he received a
- 18:05Speaker 2: text on a random Monday night at three am, actual death.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think I'm flatlining.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I hadn't texted this man for a couple months now.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I honestly doubt he'll respond, and frankly, I wouldn't care
- 18:19Speaker 2: if he didn't, and be grateful I wouldn't have to
- 18:22Speaker 2: have such a goddamn, awful, awkward conversation. Like the poor
- 18:27Speaker 2: guy probably thinks I want to get back with him,
- 18:29Speaker 2: I definitely do not. I don't even know why the
- 18:31Speaker 2: fuck I texted it or texted him. OMG, guys, help,
- 18:35Speaker 2: there's more. Sorry, haven't you haven't given you any context.
- 18:39Speaker 2: But we dated for a year and it's been like
- 18:41Speaker 2: over a year since we broke off. I genuinely am
- 18:44Speaker 2: such an idiot for texting him. Well, all I remember
- 18:47Speaker 2: is being drunk and finding out finding it absolutely hilarious.
- 18:50Speaker 2: If I were to text him and thought I needed
- 18:52Speaker 2: to experience some anxiety, as it's been a sec since
- 18:56Speaker 2: I've had proper anxiety, drunk me needs to pull her
- 18:59Speaker 2: fucking head in far out anyway, thought there'd be a
- 19:03Speaker 2: couple other baddies you've experienced this anxiety or may in
- 19:06Speaker 2: the near future, so any advice on how to battle
- 19:08Speaker 2: this or even a reminiscent story, something to help a
- 19:12Speaker 2: girl out, especially this one who's just trying to not
- 19:15Speaker 2: pull her hair out or may just become amish at
- 19:19Speaker 2: this point.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Okay, okay, poor girl. The anxiety is real.
- 19:27Speaker 2: As insane everyone. I feel like everyone texts an next.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I have never drunk texted a nex that I know
- 19:34Speaker 2: of can remember.
- 19:35Speaker 1: At least, I want to say, are drunk thoughts sober?
- 19:43Speaker 1: People always say that, Like, are drunk action sober thoughts
- 19:46Speaker 1: or some shit? People always say that, But at the
- 19:48Speaker 1: same time, I'm thinking, like some of the stuff I've
- 19:52Speaker 1: done when drunk, like I don't think it is that There's.
- 19:58Speaker 3: No way sober me would have done that.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So I I think that, like you can't blame alcohol
- 20:06Speaker 2: for making a wrong decision, but like I don't think
- 20:11Speaker 2: drunk actions are sober thoughts.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Okay, okay, she said, can we reminisce? I actually can?
- 20:16Speaker 1: And I have been the boy in this scenario to
- 20:20Speaker 1: a certain extent. Yeah, like multiple times, Yeah a lot.
- 20:25Speaker 1: How did I feel? So this is when we're going
- 20:27Speaker 1: out of fair bit so like I was. I was
- 20:30Speaker 1: at home a couple of times as well, But I
- 20:33Speaker 1: was definitely out A couple of times when I got them.
- 20:35Speaker 1: It was kind of just like I mostly didn't reply.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I entertained it a couple of times.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Mm.
- 20:41Speaker 1: It was kind of just like perked me up a
- 20:43Speaker 1: little bit. Yeah, it kind of gassed me out. It actually,
- 20:46Speaker 1: like on a night out, it kind of gives you
- 20:48Speaker 1: a bit of confidence, like I remember, Fuck, this makes
- 20:50Speaker 1: me sound like I'm on their mind. I remember I
- 20:53Speaker 1: got a text from her and I was getting with
- 20:55Speaker 1: another girl, and it, fuck, it sounds like I'm boasting.
- 21:03Speaker 1: But I did feel like, yeah, I'm the man. I mean,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you I would feel that way, wouldn't it?
- 21:10Speaker 1: But can we make her feel better? I didn't think
- 21:13Speaker 1: too much of it. Yeah, I could put two and
- 21:17Speaker 1: two together with the time yep, and it was more like, oh,
- 21:20Speaker 1: she's drinking or something's going on in her life. And
- 21:23Speaker 1: here's another thing.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Right where my mind would go is specifically with the
- 21:28Speaker 2: time is I would think, oh, she's drunk.
- 21:32Speaker 1: It's not genuine. Yeah, exactly, this is not genuine.
- 21:35Speaker 2: She's drunk in her feelings like straight like I'll leave it,
- 21:41Speaker 2: you know.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I'll give her like the I'll try and let her
- 21:45Speaker 1: live with some dignity and just pretend I don't even
- 21:48Speaker 1: know what ever happened.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Even if I bump into her, I'm not even going
- 21:51Speaker 2: to bring it up like I would. I would think, yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 2: it's not genuine, That's what I would think.
- 21:55Speaker 1: But I'm trying to think about it. If I've done anything,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I want to think about this. She went bores deep
- 21:59Speaker 1: down and did the full message. I used to just
- 22:01Speaker 1: get like highs or hay or what's up? Yeah, okay,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I used to get. I dated a girl once and
- 22:11Speaker 1: one time this was I actually it ended, and then
- 22:18Speaker 1: she called me a couple of times.
- 22:22Speaker 2: But then one time she called me at seven am.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I was awake, bender or yes, so I was awake
- 22:30Speaker 2: and it was like seven am on a Sunday or something,
- 22:33Speaker 2: and she called me in and I was like seven
- 22:39Speaker 2: am is such a weird time. So I answered, and
- 22:42Speaker 2: she just asked for a lift and she said where
- 22:45Speaker 2: she was and she was like I haven't slept, and
- 22:47Speaker 2: I was like, I was like Jesus Christ, this sucked me.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I was thinking, like I was trying to put myself
- 22:54Speaker 2: in her shoes of offer. I don't think I've ever actually
- 22:58Speaker 2: had a proper bender where you stay up and then
- 23:00Speaker 2: stay up into the next day. But I was just
- 23:03Speaker 2: thinking the colmdown of whatever drugs was on.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It's the worst thing ever, Like it's the worst thing.
- 23:09Speaker 1: That's pure depression right there, bro.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I just I was thinking the colmdown of the drugs
- 23:14Speaker 2: she must have been on, and then the fact that
- 23:16Speaker 2: she's also worked up the coach to call me. If
- 23:21Speaker 2: I deny, she might just end everything. Like I know
- 23:26Speaker 2: I would, I know I would think of that, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I know I would be.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Like what am I doing with my life? Like last resorts?
- 23:32Speaker 1: So I picked, so I gave her the lift home.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I was like, fucking Then I remember just being like,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you're fucking You're dumb. You're a better man than I. Oh,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you're you're silly. You're good to think. And I've definitely
- 23:50Speaker 1: had some like.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Messages where I've missed an X and I've just like
- 23:57Speaker 2: worked at the coach to send her hey, just and
- 24:00Speaker 2: then you just think I do.
- 24:02Speaker 1: That my drunkness is I'm happy that this is my
- 24:06Speaker 1: type of drunk is when I get too pissed, I
- 24:08Speaker 1: don't go on my phone at all. Yeah, Like that
- 24:11Speaker 1: thing's in my pocket, I don't even touch it. Yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 1: I'm not one of those people. It doesn't cross my mind. Yeah, mum,
- 24:15Speaker 1: one those people whips it out and goes to like
- 24:16Speaker 1: my contacts and shit, No, I'm glad. I'm not. But
- 24:19Speaker 1: I want to say to the battie who's done this
- 24:21Speaker 1: and any other bardies, I guess I think it's more
- 24:24Speaker 1: of a he would just shrug it off. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 1: it's not that bad. I think it's fine. Yeah, alrighty,
- 24:31Speaker 1: I did something I regret. I went out with the girls,
- 24:34Speaker 1: had one too many spicy marks, and was in that
- 24:38Speaker 1: emotional love everyone phase of my drunk cycle. Then I
- 24:43Speaker 1: saw my ex standing at the bar, the X that
- 24:47Speaker 1: I cried over for a couple months. Instead of walking
- 24:51Speaker 1: away like the healed queen that I am, my body
- 24:53Speaker 1: went to let's ruin our life real quick. We kissed
- 24:58Speaker 1: what like full on dramatic movie kiss. The worst part
- 25:03Speaker 1: there's this new guy. He texts me good morning and
- 25:06Speaker 1: actually listens, And now I feel like I've cheated on
- 25:10Speaker 1: a man I'm not even technically with. My friends are
- 25:14Speaker 1: divided between it meant nothing and you need therapy and
- 25:20Speaker 1: and now I don't know how to face either of them.
- 25:23Speaker 1: The ex all the perfect guy. I might just ruined
- 25:26Speaker 1: things with what do I do? Oh man, this is
- 25:32Speaker 1: like another.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Ah, you're allowed to regret this.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're one hundred percent allowed to regret this.
- 25:42Speaker 2: What do you do? I think you just don't do anything. Like,
- 25:50Speaker 2: let's be honest, you didn't go home with the ex diden.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I don't know if that implies it. You kissed him
- 25:57Speaker 1: and kissed him movie kiss him. Yeah, it sounds like
- 26:01Speaker 1: she just hooked up at the club, Like, I mean,
- 26:07Speaker 1: what's I'm just trying to think you're like, maybe you
- 26:11Speaker 1: aren't fully over him.
- 26:13Speaker 3: There's a way to look at this in a way
- 26:14Speaker 3: where it's.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Like, maybe you're not fully over him.
- 26:17Speaker 2: You know, you probably should end things with the nice
- 26:19Speaker 2: dude because you know, I dare say if you were
- 26:24Speaker 2: fully over your rex, you wouldn't have gone up.
- 26:27Speaker 1: And there's also the argument playing Devil's advocate that like,
- 26:30Speaker 1: how long have you been talking to this dude? Is
- 26:32Speaker 1: it a week? I don't think you m on't flat.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I don't think it's right. But also you have a
- 26:35Speaker 1: leg to stand on of, Like I don't know, you're
- 26:37Speaker 1: allowed to do whatever you want. Yeah, you're exclusive.
- 26:40Speaker 3: If you're exclusive, then you did the wrong thing.
- 26:42Speaker 1: But only exclusive doesn't have to be said. It's you
- 26:45Speaker 1: kind of know if it's exclusive or not. I agree.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So Yeah, if you were under.
- 26:49Speaker 2: The perception you guys are exclusive and you did that,
- 26:51Speaker 2: then you should probably be the bigger person or be
- 26:53Speaker 2: like the person that owns what they did.
- 26:55Speaker 1: And and I don't know, you might not have to
- 26:57Speaker 1: tell him, but you can just end things with him. Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 1: I think you ought to him if you think you
- 27:02Speaker 1: were in the exclusive phase. Yeah, but if you're not,
- 27:05Speaker 1: you're in your hot girl error and like you having fun,
- 27:07Speaker 1: like and if it was just a kiss, like I
- 27:08Speaker 1: don't know, regret it, move on, grow, don't do it again. Yeah,
- 27:12Speaker 1: just don't do it again. Yeah, just don't do it again. Crazy,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Oh my god. And most of these are going to
- 27:20Speaker 1: be about their exes. I don't know I've got. That's
- 27:23Speaker 1: the biggest regrets I see. I think I have two more.
- 27:29Speaker 1: One of them is not about an ex.
- 27:31Speaker 2: And I also think no, but both of mine an't
- 27:35Speaker 2: about xes. Okay, Okay, this one's actually quiet, juicy, quite juicy.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I twenty five females slept with a guy twenty three male.
- 27:53Speaker 2: I didn't plan on sleeping with him. We both agreed
- 27:57Speaker 2: to only go for a drive together, and then, of course,
- 28:02Speaker 2: one thing led to another and we decided to go
- 28:04Speaker 2: back to his house. We used protection as it was
- 28:08Speaker 2: the first time we met after matching on Tinder about
- 28:11Speaker 2: a week prior. When he finished, I could feel in
- 28:16Speaker 2: quotes the warmth so the condom had broken oh, and
- 28:21Speaker 2: instantly questioned it and jumped up. We both panicked and
- 28:25Speaker 2: he paid for my morning after pill thirty five dollars.
- 28:27Speaker 2: She's added in here as I cannot take birth control
- 28:30Speaker 2: due to the severe side effects of all of them.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Fast forward a few weeks and I go to get
- 28:36Speaker 2: a blood test for a screening and the doctor orders
- 28:38Speaker 2: a pregnancy test as well. I was like waste of time,
- 28:43Speaker 2: but didn't refuse as it was already on the pathology
- 28:45Speaker 2: form STI tests were all negative except herpes won which
- 28:50Speaker 2: is the cold saw type, which I already knew I
- 28:52Speaker 2: had because someone kissed me as a baby and I
- 28:54Speaker 2: contracted it. Thank you for sharing that information. However, the
- 28:58Speaker 2: pregnancy results were positive. Oh No, I kept the pregnancy
- 29:04Speaker 2: as I have fertility issues, so if I aborted, I
- 29:07Speaker 2: could potentially never conceive again. Thanks to PCOS and ad denomiosis, which.
- 29:14Speaker 1: There's two things.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I never told him about the pregnancy, and now I'm
- 29:19Speaker 2: thirty eight weeks pregnant with his with his daughter and
- 29:22Speaker 2: have and about to have a C section on December
- 29:26Speaker 2: first due to my prior c section five years ago.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I regret not telling him because now he's in a
- 29:33Speaker 2: relationship and I can't contact him about the baby. He
- 29:37Speaker 2: did tell me he didn't want a trial right now anyway,
- 29:40Speaker 2: So even so, he did tell me he didn't want
- 29:44Speaker 2: a child right now anyway, So even if he knew,
- 29:46Speaker 2: he'd probably still be uninvolved anyway. I'm just upset and
- 29:49Speaker 2: regret that he doesn't know about his daughter on the way.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But given the fact it's from a one night stand,
- 29:54Speaker 2: he paid for m AP morning off pill and said
- 29:57Speaker 2: he didn't want a child, I decided it was best
- 30:00Speaker 2: to not reach out eight months ago. Should I still
- 30:03Speaker 2: reach out to him and tell him, regardless of relationship
- 30:05Speaker 2: status or if he doesn't want a child now, our
- 30:09Speaker 2: daughter's name will be I don't think I'm going.
- 30:12Speaker 1: To say the name.
- 30:13Speaker 3: This could be real. Why do you give us the name?
- 30:14Speaker 3: You might have to bleep that.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Yeah, shit, Okay, I think the answer is simple, even
- 30:22Speaker 1: though you're thirty eight weeks tell him. I think you
- 30:24Speaker 1: have to tell him because and also you're never going
- 30:26Speaker 1: to know if you even that he might have the
- 30:29Speaker 1: information given to him and then be like, holy fuck,
- 30:32Speaker 1: that's my daughter. I do want to be involved. Yeah,
- 30:36Speaker 1: you never know, and like he's the thing though it's
- 30:38Speaker 1: a I dare say you don't want to be with him,
- 30:40Speaker 1: a one night stand. You don't even really know the guy, Yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and like class half full, like it's a blessing. You
- 30:46Speaker 1: got to have a kid. You said it was going
- 30:47Speaker 1: to be very, very hard. Maybe he had really really
- 30:50Speaker 1: good swimmers.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Hey, and that's all the more reason to be with him,
- 30:53Speaker 3: because what if his swimmers are great?
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's not a great reason. I think
- 30:59Speaker 1: tell him. He deserves to know. And the good thing
- 31:02Speaker 1: about telling him is you seem like you're completely happy
- 31:06Speaker 1: with being independent, so his response doesn't matter. If he
- 31:10Speaker 1: goes all weird and awkward and ghosts you, well least
- 31:12Speaker 1: he knows, and if he wants to support you, then
- 31:16Speaker 1: good and you've done your part.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Here's my thinking as well, like anyone that's like any
- 31:23Speaker 2: sort of normal would get the information that if I
- 31:29Speaker 2: got the information that I was a fucking dad and
- 31:31Speaker 2: this baby's going to be born within weeks, I would
- 31:34Speaker 2: be obviously in shock, but also I'd be like, I
- 31:40Speaker 2: also did that. Yeah, if my second thing would have
- 31:44Speaker 2: been would then be I really wish you would have
- 31:47Speaker 2: told me, because even if you know, I would have
- 31:52Speaker 2: probably said no, I don't want to keep it. But
- 31:54Speaker 2: it's obviously her choice, her body, her choice, and if
- 31:55Speaker 2: you wanted to keep it, then at least I would
- 31:57Speaker 2: have had some notice. But hindsights, as we all say,
- 32:01Speaker 2: a bitch, So I think you should tell him because
- 32:05Speaker 2: even I just think if anyone is any sort of
- 32:07Speaker 2: morally normal, I think the baby kind of deserves to like,
- 32:10Speaker 2: yeah for him, Yeah, and then the baby will hopefully
- 32:14Speaker 2: have a father.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Yeah. I reckon, you could be a boss us bitch
- 32:18Speaker 1: right now too. Contact him, don't say anything, and then
- 32:20Speaker 1: should rock up and your belly's there. Fuck, he's got
- 32:24Speaker 1: a girlfriend, I know, but he's still had sex of us.
- 32:29Speaker 1: It's not like he didn't do it.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, no, yeah, I'm just thinking like the
- 32:33Speaker 2: girlfriend the girl's dating now when.
- 32:36Speaker 1: She kind of deserves to know it too, that he
- 32:37Speaker 1: has a kid one hundred percent. So I think, just
- 32:39Speaker 1: do it and then you can deal with the consequences
- 32:41Speaker 1: and you're in a good position so it doesn't matter.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Fingers crossed for you. Yeah, I think I'm you kind
- 32:47Speaker 1: of anticipating his response just because he said the morning
- 32:49Speaker 1: after pill, but.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Like and also because you met him, like you know,
- 32:53Speaker 2: I'm assuming the one time and that one time kids
- 32:56Speaker 2: were brought up and he said he doesn't want kids
- 32:58Speaker 2: right now, and it's like, that's the thing where obviously
- 33:01Speaker 2: he doesn't want kids right now, but he's never been
- 33:03Speaker 2: in this situation where a kid actually was potentially going
- 33:05Speaker 2: to happen. Yeah, so if he wants kids one day
- 33:08Speaker 2: and there's a kid right now, I dare say he
- 33:09Speaker 2: wants a kid.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so that's how it has changed.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, look, hindsight, you obviously should have told him
- 33:15Speaker 2: earlier on, but you haven't, so tell him now.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I think. So alrighty, this one is good. I did
- 33:26Speaker 1: something I regret. My best friend asked me if her
- 33:29Speaker 1: outfit looked good, and she meant it she was vulnerable,
- 33:34Speaker 1: but I was exhausted, delusional and accidentally said, yeah, it's
- 33:37Speaker 1: something in a sarcastic tone. My best friend asked me
- 33:42Speaker 1: if her outfit looked good, and she meant it she
- 33:45Speaker 1: was vulnerable, but I was exhausted, delusional and accidentally just said, yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 1: it's something in a sarcastic tone. She completely missed the
- 33:54Speaker 1: sarcasm and thought it was my supportive tone. Now she's
- 33:58Speaker 1: been wearing the same outfit for days when we've been
- 34:01Speaker 1: going out, telling everyone dot dot Dot said it was
- 34:04Speaker 1: so cute. People compliment her and she looks right at me,
- 34:08Speaker 1: like I'm her stylists. I feel like I'm living a lie,
- 34:10Speaker 1: and every time I see her, I feel personally responsible.
- 34:13Speaker 1: I don't want to crush her confidence, but I also
- 34:15Speaker 1: don't want this outfit to become her personality. What do
- 34:17Speaker 1: I do? Wait, so the outfit is obviously bad.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but people are complimenting her, So you've kind of
- 34:23Speaker 2: like dodged a bullet.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah, in a sense, I think this is so fine. Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 1: If it's an outfit everyone else likes and you're the
- 34:30Speaker 1: only one that doesn't like it, and she likes it,
- 34:31Speaker 1: it's obviously a good outfit and you just had a
- 34:33Speaker 1: bad lack of judgment on the day.
- 34:35Speaker 3: But you seem to have had good judgment on the
- 34:37Speaker 3: day live the lie.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But also, is it like when you go out everyone says, oh,
- 34:42Speaker 1: you look good when someone's put effort in and you
- 34:44Speaker 1: can see the effort irrespective of how good it looks,
- 34:47Speaker 1: there's a little compliment here in it. Is it those
- 34:49Speaker 1: type of ones or is it like people analyzing it
- 34:51Speaker 1: and thinking, yeah, you look good. Because there's a difference.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I want to know how often you see her, because
- 34:54Speaker 1: like I for how often I see you?
- 34:58Speaker 2: If I set an outfit looks good once, even if
- 35:02Speaker 2: even let's say I wasn't lying, like I actually liked
- 35:04Speaker 2: the outfit and I did think it looked good. So
- 35:06Speaker 2: if I told you an outfit you're wearing looks good once,
- 35:08Speaker 2: and then every time we hung out you seemed you
- 35:10Speaker 2: were wearing it, I'd be like, dude, I like it,
- 35:13Speaker 2: But like you, is this a coincidence?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Always? I'd be like, what's going on here? True?
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'd be like, is there like at least just I
- 35:20Speaker 2: had a different shirt, And isn't there.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Like a stereotype where like girls don't wear the same
- 35:24Speaker 1: outfit more than once?
- 35:26Speaker 2: I don't know, I think like they definitely wear the
- 35:28Speaker 2: same outfit more than once. But this, I think the
- 35:30Speaker 2: stereotype is always that whenever they have an event come.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Up, it's gonna be a different one At the event for.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Some reason, they don't have anything to wear and like
- 35:39Speaker 2: and I go through this with Beth quite often. She'll like,
- 35:43Speaker 2: she'll go, there's been multiple times where Beth's gone and
- 35:46Speaker 2: maybe spent like which I actually encourage it. I do think,
- 35:49Speaker 2: you know, once or twice a year you should go
- 35:51Speaker 2: spend like, I don't know, five hundred bucks on new
- 35:53Speaker 2: clothes or just a couple hundred dollars whatever you want,
- 35:54Speaker 2: just buy some new outfits.
- 35:57Speaker 1: So Beth will do it.
- 35:58Speaker 2: And then and then a while will go by, and
- 36:02Speaker 2: then an event will come up and she'll be like,
- 36:04Speaker 2: I've got nothing aware and I'm like, what did you
- 36:07Speaker 2: buy when you went?
- 36:10Speaker 4: Like?
- 36:10Speaker 1: Did you not buy outfits? She's like, I just.
- 36:16Speaker 3: They interesting, it's just so funny. I'm like, did you
- 36:20Speaker 3: buy outfits the day you went?
- 36:22Speaker 1: Maybe they just sick of them by then? Who knows? True?
- 36:25Speaker 1: So are we locking in if everyone's complimenting? Yeah, what's
- 36:28Speaker 1: the problem? Is a dilemma? A lie? What do you
- 36:31Speaker 1: just like feel guilty or some shit? Probably? Yeah? Fuck
- 36:35Speaker 1: I think if people are complimenting her and you're the
- 36:38Speaker 1: only one that seems to its ouf, it's not nice.
- 36:40Speaker 1: It's an opinion thing. Yeah, it's an opinion thing.
- 36:42Speaker 3: And you should live this fucking lie until you die.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Okay, that is before we keep going.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Unfortunately, we will have to let you know that the
- 36:53Speaker 2: rest of the Dilemma is.
