- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hi, we're Nina and Josh hanging out with you. Getting
- 0:08Speaker 2: the morning started on a Thursday. And Josh, I tell ya,
- 0:12Speaker 2: on Halloweek right now, this feels a little weird.
- 0:15Speaker 1: What does?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Feels a little weird that you and I are not
- 0:17Speaker 2: in a costume right now. I'm not gonna lie. I'm
- 0:20Speaker 2: not gonna lie. I'm a little distraught about it.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So what's funny is you brought costumes. I did. You
- 0:25Speaker 1: brought them today.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I did.
- 0:26Speaker 3: And.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I was going to ask you, and I was like,
- 0:29Speaker 1: do we want to attempt... To try to talk on
- 0:33Speaker 1: the air with these things.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to have to test them out. Okay,
- 0:36Speaker 2: so we're not currently in costume, but I did bring
- 0:39Speaker 2: some inflatable costumes.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm so excited for these.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And Josh, thank you so much for, first of all,
- 0:45Speaker 2: looking at your phone at 5 o'clock in the morning.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Because when I texted you asking to bring some batteries,
- 0:50Speaker 2: you were able to for the little battery pack for
- 0:53Speaker 2: the inflatables. But we're going to test them out. But yeah,
- 0:55Speaker 2: these are usually kind of loud. So I have no
- 0:59Speaker 2: idea how this is going to go.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Our mics are directional. I think we'll be okay.
- 1:02Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 1:03Speaker 2: We'll try them on soon. We'll see. Shout. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 2: We'll find out about that. But we have some of
- 1:10Speaker 2: these inflatable costumes. And when I was grabbing them this morning,
- 1:14Speaker 2: these are ones which, by the way, I bought like
- 1:17Speaker 2: last year or the year before. It was after Halloween
- 1:20Speaker 2: at Spirit Halloween for the sale.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That's like the best thing ever. And you are so
- 1:25Speaker 1: smart about that because... I've gone a couple times because
- 1:27Speaker 1: there's a couple other things that I'm doing for Halloween.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And every time I go, I've left, yeah, empty handed.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Really? It's so expensive. You can't justify it sometimes.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm not trying to dog on them, but like I
- 1:40Speaker 1: was just looking for something cheap, like something really cheap
- 1:42Speaker 1: that I could wear one time and not care about
- 1:45Speaker 1: spending money on it.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And that specific thing I looked at was like $ 49. 99. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And I was like, dude.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And so these inflatable costumes that I got, they're probably 50, 60,
- 1:56Speaker 2: 70 bucks right now.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The ones you have, it would not surprise me if
- 2:01Speaker 1: they were 70 bucks.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. But I got them after Halloween a couple
- 2:06Speaker 2: years ago, and honestly, I think they were probably $ 20.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's so smart. Worth it to me. And I've never
- 2:12Speaker 2: worn them. I've had these for like a year or
- 2:14Speaker 2: two years or something like that. Never wore them, never
- 2:16Speaker 2: broke them out, but today is the day. We'll try it, though,
- 2:19Speaker 2: on the air, because... I don't know how loud these
- 2:22Speaker 2: are going to be, but we got the batteries. We
- 2:25Speaker 2: got the little fan packs inside of them. So we'll
- 2:28Speaker 2: reveal what exactly these costumes are a little bit later
- 2:32Speaker 2: in the show. So we know the drama between Kate
- 2:35Speaker 2: Gosselin and her son Colin and Kate's ex John. They
- 2:40Speaker 2: are claiming that Kate had some child abuse claims from
- 2:44Speaker 2: her son Colin that who he's all grown up now.
- 2:47Speaker 2: He wrote a book to expose what he went through
- 2:49Speaker 2: as a child at the hands of Kate. And he
- 2:52Speaker 2: called her out on many different interviews. TMZ caught up
- 2:56Speaker 2: with him on the streets of New York. And many,
- 2:59Speaker 2: many times he is straight up looking at the camera
- 3:03Speaker 2: trying to talk to his mother, saying things to her,
- 3:06Speaker 2: but she has not responded to any of it. And
- 3:09Speaker 2: that woman is everywhere online, on X, responding to fans
- 3:15Speaker 2: here and there, posting passive, aggressive things, but she will
- 3:20Speaker 2: not actually talk with Colin and her ex, John, who
- 3:25Speaker 2: are coming out saying these things about her. And it's
- 3:27Speaker 2: kind of, I don't know, I give it the side
- 3:30Speaker 2: eye a little bit of like, Kate, you are going
- 3:33Speaker 2: online and who knows, you know, these allegations. Nothing has
- 3:37Speaker 2: been proven yet, so I can't say too much about it.
- 3:39Speaker 2: But I got my own feelings about her and everything
- 3:42Speaker 2: that potentially went down.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I think we all do.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Right. But the fact that she can constantly be online,
- 3:48Speaker 2: like it's one thing to be like, you know, I'm
- 3:49Speaker 2: going to stay away from this. I'm not going to
- 3:51Speaker 2: say anything. But she is fully online, responding to people,
- 3:56Speaker 2: saying all sorts of stuff. claiming that Colin, he's mentally
- 4:00Speaker 2: unstable and he's going through his own stuff. But she
- 4:03Speaker 2: won't talk to them specifically. And I just think it's
- 4:06Speaker 2: kind of weird. No, it's a horrible look.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's a horrible look, Nina. Like that is not how
- 4:11Speaker 1: you treat your family. Deal with this problem. Anything. It
- 4:15Speaker 1: should be behind closed doors, shouldn't it?
- 4:17Speaker 2: A hundred percent for all of them, quite frankly. But yeah.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Nah, not with Kate.
- 4:22Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. She wants it on TV
- 4:24Speaker 2: everywhere else.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It's the weirdest thing, seriously.
- 4:27Speaker 2: She'll get online, she talks the talk, but she will
- 4:30Speaker 2: not talk to them or do any actual TV interviews
- 4:34Speaker 2: because she knows they're going to grill her about the
- 4:36Speaker 2: hard questions and she wants to control her narrative, whatever, online.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And you can very much do that when you are
- 4:42Speaker 2: typing out a response. You know, you run that through
- 4:45Speaker 2: chat GPT, make sure you got everything covered and That's
- 4:48Speaker 2: just exactly what she's doing right now.
- 4:50Speaker 1: She just annoys me. Anyway. Well, South Carolina police are
- 4:54Speaker 1: finally closing their investigation into the death of Hayden Panettiere.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It is officially ruled accidental. There was no foul play,
- 5:02Speaker 1: nothing going on. She died earlier this year, I believe
- 5:05Speaker 1: in August, from just toxic levels of fentanyl, Xanax, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: other drugs inside her system. Police stated the ruling followed
- 5:14Speaker 1: the medical examiner's report confirming that it was officially a
- 5:17Speaker 1: drug overdose. And then the DEA also confirmed that as well.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So a very sad thing. Accidental. Obviously, she is a
- 5:24Speaker 1: young mother. I believe she was only 36 years old. Yep.
- 5:26Speaker 1: The family fighting over certain things afterwards. It's just a messy,
- 5:30Speaker 1: messy thing. It is. And it's such a bad stain
- 5:33Speaker 1: on the beautiful life that she lived despite everything that
- 5:37Speaker 1: she went through.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Absolutely gone too soon. I loved her all the way
- 5:42Speaker 1: back to Bugs Life when she was Dot, right? She
- 5:44Speaker 1: was in so many different things. Remember the Titans, one
- 5:46Speaker 1: of my favorite movies. So it is officially kind of
- 5:49Speaker 1: closing the chapter on this.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Which quite frankly, I'm glad. Like this has been going
- 5:53Speaker 2: on for so long. It's been every other day, a
- 5:55Speaker 2: new story about it. And it's just, it's sad stuff.
- 5:59Speaker 2: It's heavy stuff.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And yes, it is real life stuff. But at the
- 6:02Speaker 2: same time, her family and her daughter, they're going through
- 6:06Speaker 2: so much right now. So yes, it is time to
- 6:09Speaker 2: close this chapter. We will always remember Hayden, of course.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But I am glad that the official ruling of her death,
- 6:18Speaker 2: that that part is done with.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Is done. And it feels like the family can kind
- 6:21Speaker 1: of just grieve in peace now and quiet, hopefully. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: I really don't want to see anything else about it,
- 6:26Speaker 1: to be honest. I don't want any more fighting of
- 6:29Speaker 1: diamond earrings that say they were lost or anything like that.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I don't. I just... I like that the chapter is
- 6:34Speaker 1: finally closing.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 6:36Speaker 2: the office today. So yesterday I actually dropped off my
- 6:40Speaker 2: ballot because it is too late to mail it in.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So this is your reminder that ballots are due by
- 6:46Speaker 2: 7 p.m. next Wednesday, November 4th. I drove up yesterday
- 6:51Speaker 2: to a drop-off center over in, not Belmar, oh my gosh,
- 6:56Speaker 2: I'm running a blank right now, Barnum Park. Barnum Park, yes.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And they created these little drive-thru lanes now. I think,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I remember them last year, but they're somewhat new. They
- 7:06Speaker 2: have these drive-thru lanes, so you don't even have to
- 7:08Speaker 2: get out of your car. You pull up, they have
- 7:11Speaker 2: their official ballot keepers there. They just kind of make
- 7:14Speaker 2: sure that you have sealed and signed your envelope. That's
- 7:17Speaker 2: all that they do. And then they put it into
- 7:19Speaker 2: the closed off box there. They offer you a sticker
- 7:22Speaker 2: and you are on your way. You don't have to
- 7:23Speaker 2: get out of the car. It makes it very convenient,
- 7:25Speaker 2: very easy. But if you would rather vote in person,
- 7:29Speaker 2: you can do that as well. But in Denver specifically,
- 7:33Speaker 2: the ballot, it is very long. So do your research,
- 7:36Speaker 2: fill it out early if you can. But just make
- 7:39Speaker 2: sure to get it in soon ASAP because next Wednesday,
- 7:42Speaker 2: it's going to be here before you know it. And
- 7:44Speaker 2: if you wait until the last minute, You know, there's
- 7:46Speaker 2: just a lot of research, a lot of reading, a
- 7:48Speaker 2: lot of stuff to be done. So, sooner the better.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's almost like you are taking a test that
- 7:53Speaker 1: you didn't study for. If you just wait until the
- 7:54Speaker 1: last minute, you're like, oh, gosh, okay.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yes, definitely.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Well, this is one of the funniest stories I've ever heard,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and I have to share it with you. San Francisco,
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's a new startup company over at the Bay. They
- 8:04Speaker 1: are paying people $ 20 an hour to walk a dog. Okay, Nina,
- 8:08Speaker 1: that sounds pretty normal, right?
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's pretty good, yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They're walking robot dogs. You are getting paid $ 20 an hour.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's called the new financial startup Dimensional. Posted a job
- 8:20Speaker 1: listing offering $ 20 an hour to walk robot dogs through
- 8:24Speaker 1: the city. Walkers were required to spend four to six
- 8:27Speaker 1: hours navigating the mechanical canines through the public. applicants needed
- 8:32Speaker 1: to be comfortable handling equipment weighing around 33 pounds. That's
- 8:34Speaker 1: a pretty big dog, right?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess so.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Including carrying any broken down dogs. We've seen people carry
- 8:39Speaker 1: their dogs when they don't want to walk, but no.
- 8:42Speaker 1: These are the broken down dogs that don't work.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Why are we walking robot dogs?
- 8:46Speaker 1: I think it's kind of like the Waymo, where you
- 8:49Speaker 1: have to drive it around the city first. They want
- 8:51Speaker 1: robot dogs walking around the city just chillin'. With no
- 8:55Speaker 1: owners or anything like that. For what?
- 8:57Speaker 2: What's the purpose?
- 8:58Speaker 1: I have no idea. No clue. The company's robot dogs,
- 9:03Speaker 1: they said they were purchased from a Chinese manufacturer for
- 9:05Speaker 1: about $ 2, 000 each. Dimensional's broader goal is developing an open
- 9:09Speaker 1: source operating systems for these dogs to perform rigorous physical labor. Oh, okay.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But they don't have hands. So I don't know, do
- 9:17Speaker 1: you just put a package on them and they walk around?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Maybe. That might be a good, I guess, delivery system.
- 9:24Speaker 2: But we already have that with the robot delivery little
- 9:27Speaker 2: carts that get stuck at red lights and stuff.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I know, so how's a dog going to be so
- 9:30Speaker 1: much better? I don't know.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I'm very curious as to what they're using these robot
- 9:34Speaker 2: dogs for. But is it just to have more dogs
- 9:38Speaker 2: kind of walk in the street to put smiles on
- 9:40Speaker 2: people's faces?
- 9:41Speaker 1: I mean, they don't look like dogs. They look like Very,
- 9:44Speaker 1: very robotic animals. They don't have a head. They don't
- 9:48Speaker 1: have a tail. They have like the torso and then
- 9:50Speaker 1: just four legs.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And so you said this was in San Francisco?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:53Speaker 2: So they're very tech savvy. I think they're just doing
- 9:56Speaker 2: this just to do it.
- 9:57Speaker 1: That's the dumbest thing.
- 9:58Speaker 2: That sounds like a very San Francisco. thing.
- 10:00Speaker 1: But still, $ 20 an hour to walk a fake dog
- 10:02Speaker 1: is not too bad.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Why not?
- 10:04Speaker 1: Plus, you're in the beautiful San Fran weather.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Actually, you know what? I'm going to apply for this.
- 10:08Speaker 2: You're like, sign me up.
- 10:08Speaker 1: This ain't that bad.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I'm convinced. And the third thing you need to know,
- 10:12Speaker 2: the iconic El Rancho restaurant along I-70, it did shut down,
- 10:17Speaker 2: but the city of Evergreen is determined to keep its
- 10:20Speaker 2: legacy alive. It is saving the sign. So they took
- 10:23Speaker 2: a crane to the restaurant to take the El Rancho
- 10:26Speaker 2: sign down, and they are going to relocate it. The
- 10:30Speaker 2: Evergreen Park and Recreation District work with Quick Trip, actually.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So thank you, Quick Trip. They saved the sign and
- 10:37Speaker 2: they have plans to salvage as much of the building
- 10:39Speaker 2: as possible. And they are going to create a tribute
- 10:43Speaker 2: to El Rancho attached to the new performance pavilion over
- 10:47Speaker 2: at Buchanan Park. In Evergreen, so if you are sad
- 10:51Speaker 2: like I am that El Rancho shut down in the
- 10:53Speaker 2: first place, they are going to keep the legacy at
- 10:56Speaker 2: least alive over at Buchanan Park in.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Evergreen, which is awesome. Yeah, I love Evergreen and all
- 11:02Speaker 1: the parks there are so pretty. I love that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: So nice. So, so nice. If you're dealing with a
- 11:07Speaker 2: troll specifically on TikTok, it might be Jennifer Lawrence.
- 11:11Speaker 1: What?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so... She definitely has talked about the fact that
- 11:16Speaker 2: she loves to be a little anonymous troll on social media.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And she was on the Call Her Daddy podcast and
- 11:24Speaker 2: that was brought up and they had asked about it.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And she said, yeah, I do have this private TikTok
- 11:29Speaker 2: account and I argue and rage bait people on purpose
- 11:33Speaker 2: because she thinks it's fun. And she said it's mostly
- 11:37Speaker 2: this is the part that gets me. It is mostly
- 11:40Speaker 2: about Victorian ancestry. Like what?
- 11:44Speaker 1: What? I'm trying to think what's, okay, okay. What is
- 11:48Speaker 1: your algorithm then?
- 11:49Speaker 2: I have no idea what Jennifer Lawrence is doing on TikTok,
- 11:53Speaker 2: the videos she's watching, what she knows about Victorian ancestry,
- 11:57Speaker 2: but apparently she has a private TikTok account and she
- 12:01Speaker 2: likes to just rage bait people about Victorian ancestry. So
- 12:06Speaker 2: if you find yourself arguing with someone, about that kind
- 12:10Speaker 2: of stuff on TikTok, it's probably Jennifer Lawrence. And she
- 12:14Speaker 2: said that she's going to reveal that TikTok soon. So
- 12:16Speaker 2: we'll see if she actually does.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's so funny. If all of a sudden she reveals
- 12:20Speaker 1: it and you're like, I had a massive fight with
- 12:23Speaker 1: you online. Like what?
- 12:24Speaker 2: Like I blocked that person already.
- 12:26Speaker 1: That is hilarious. I mean, honestly, rage baiting is one
- 12:29Speaker 1: of the most fun things ever.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It can be.
- 12:31Speaker 1: So I get it. But also the fact that like
- 12:34Speaker 1: she is this uber famous person and she's just anonymously
- 12:37Speaker 1: posting pissing people off.
- 12:38Speaker 2: And like she would. That's such a J-Law thing to do.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, she's one of those girls, I just remember her like,
- 12:44Speaker 1: where's the pizza? Like that thing. She's so meme-able, if
- 12:47Speaker 1: you will.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Exactly, 100% is. Yeah, we love her.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Well, hey, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, they're reuniting for
- 12:53Speaker 1: a beauty blush campaign. Now, you might have to help
- 12:56Speaker 1: me figure out what the heck they're selling here, Nina,
- 12:58Speaker 1: because I have no idea. But they've joined forces for
- 13:01Speaker 1: a new rare beauty campaign. The brand launched Demi and
- 13:05Speaker 1: Selena collaboration on October 28th. featuring the limited edition Delina
- 13:10Speaker 1: Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Bundle. Yes. What the heck is that?
- 13:13Speaker 2: It's a liquid blush. So Rare Beauty, first.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Of all, that's Delina's brand. Yeah, I know that one.
- 13:19Speaker 2: It's a liquid blush. You put these little pink dots
- 13:22Speaker 2: on your cheek, and it's liquid, and then you blend
- 13:24Speaker 2: it in, and it just creates blush. On your cheekbones.
- 13:27Speaker 1: All right, well, it's priced at $ 50. Is that good
- 13:29Speaker 1: or bad?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Well, if it's a bundle, is it coming with three
- 13:31Speaker 2: different shades of a blush, probably?
- 13:33Speaker 1: I would assume.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You would assume so. So if it's a bundle, yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 2: it's a little pricey, but $ 50 for three decent brand.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Liquid blushes, that will last you. Liquid blush lasts so long.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Will last a long time. Okay, good. Well, then you're
- 13:46Speaker 1: getting your bang, your money's worth, okay? So the campaign
- 13:48Speaker 1: visually references their 2009 Princess Protection Program, which I have seen,
- 13:53Speaker 1: thanks to my older sister, Hannah. And they both said
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's really nice to be able to work together again.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It's really great to be in a place where we
- 13:59Speaker 1: can collaborate on things and also just hang out and
- 14:02Speaker 1: spend time together. That was Lovato that said that. And
- 14:04Speaker 1: I like this. Look, I'm the old 2000s Disney guy.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I love that. Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato. watched both of
- 14:11Speaker 1: them extensively on their Disney days. I think it's fun.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I think it's fun to watch them grow up and
- 14:15Speaker 1: still be friends.
- 14:17Speaker 4: 100%.
- 14:17Speaker 2: And you know what's funny is actually this morning while
- 14:19Speaker 2: I was getting ready, putting on my liquid blush.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Do you use it? I do.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I was on TikTok, just scrolling through TikTok.
- 14:27Speaker 2: And because this Demi and Selena news came out yesterday,
- 14:30Speaker 2: someone posted a TikTok about the lore between their friendship
- 14:34Speaker 2: and why it broke up.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Oh. Yes.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Who went between Demi and Selena's friendship back in the day?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Nick Jonas.
- 14:41Speaker 2: No.
- 14:41Speaker 1: No.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's a female.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Hannah Montana.
- 14:44Speaker 2: No, it was Taylor Swift.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Of course. I have things I want to say.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Selena and Taylor became best friends and Demi kind of
- 14:53Speaker 2: got left out and Demi was jealous. And then eventually
- 14:56Speaker 2: Demi kind of put her mean girl-ness aside and then said,
- 15:01Speaker 2: you know what? I'll extend the olive branch to Taylor Swift.
- 15:03Speaker 2: We're cool. It's whatever. And now look at them all now.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Good. You know what? I'm glad. But I will stand
- 15:09Speaker 1: on this. There is nothing worse than a friend breakup.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I'd rather do a normal breakup over a friend breakup.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Oh, it's hard for sure.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It is tough.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So seeing Demi and Selena team up for this right now, honestly,
- 15:18Speaker 2: it's good. That's good.
- 15:19Speaker 1: This is a good thing. Taylor. Watch your back, girl.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Watch your back.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Josh put on his costume again, and he's having issues
- 15:26Speaker 2: over there.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Well, I forgot that you need headphones to do this job.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. You sound so muffled right now.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's okay.
- 15:32Speaker 2: You're talking through plastic.
- 15:33Speaker 1: It's fine.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Everything is fine. Here's three things you need to know
- 15:36Speaker 2: before you go into the office today. Colorado ski and
- 15:39Speaker 2: board season has officially started. Yesterday, A-Basin opened up for
- 15:45Speaker 2: the first time. It is their 80th winter season. That
- 15:49Speaker 2: is very excited. And they are the first Icon Pass
- 15:53Speaker 2: destination to open up for the 2026-2027 season. Now, this
- 15:59Speaker 2: is very exciting because it's the first big one to
- 16:02Speaker 2: really open up an official run. And next weekend is
- 16:05Speaker 2: going to be a big weekend for skiers and boarders
- 16:08Speaker 2: because Breckenridge and Copper Mountain are expected to open up.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And we're keeping eyes on Loveland. They haven't announced it
- 16:14Speaker 2: officially yet, but they usually open by next weekend. So
- 16:18Speaker 2: at least we got three more big mountains over there
- 16:21Speaker 2: that are going to be opening up for the season,
- 16:23Speaker 2: which is exciting.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. I'm one to not shy away from snow.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I absolutely love it. So now that we actually have
- 16:30Speaker 1: mountains opening and ski hills opening, it makes me So,
- 16:33Speaker 1: so excited because I miss the snow so much.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I know. I know.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And Lord knows we need it. All right. This is
- 16:38Speaker 1: so exciting, especially for me because I am a massive
- 16:41Speaker 1: sports fan. But Nikola Jokic, he just recorded his 200th
- 16:46Speaker 1: triple-double of his career. Now, what does that mean? It
- 16:49Speaker 1: means you score double points, meaning like you score for 10, 10,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and 10. And that is 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You can do it different ways, maybe with a couple
- 16:58Speaker 1: blocks as well or whatever. Yes. Getting a triple-double and
- 17:01Speaker 1: averaging a triple-double like Nikola Jokic has season after season
- 17:06Speaker 1: is unheard of. And he is now 10 away from
- 17:10Speaker 1: being the most all-time of getting triple-doubles.
- 17:12Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Watching greatness, don't get used to it. Because what Nikola
- 17:16Speaker 1: Jokic does on this court... is unheard of.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It's not normal.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It's not normal at all.
- 17:22Speaker 2: We're happy to have him. He's amazing. He is talented,
- 17:24Speaker 2: but it is not normal.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We are so thrilled to have it. He recorded this
- 17:28Speaker 1: last night against the New Orleans Pelicans. They did win
- 17:32Speaker 1: 104 to 91 and Nikola Jokic looked great. He went
- 17:35Speaker 1: for 21, 13 and 10. Again, that's what a triple
- 17:38Speaker 1: double is. 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. The
- 17:42Speaker 1: dude is unbelievable. I mean, if you have a chance
- 17:44Speaker 1: to watch him, you really should because what he does
- 17:47Speaker 1: on the court is just unheard of. I mean, it
- 17:49Speaker 1: really is.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I tried to look up, I had to Google what
- 17:53Speaker 2: exactly is a triple-double and the definition of it. It's
- 17:55Speaker 2: quite confusing for me who just, I don't know all
- 17:59Speaker 2: the rules, all the stats, all the everything. You're not
- 18:02Speaker 2: a diehard and that's okay. But good for Nikola Jokic,
- 18:04Speaker 2: that is amazing. And the fact that he is 10
- 18:06Speaker 2: away from beating the all-time record.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Which is unbelievable.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go Nuggets.
- 18:11Speaker 2: It's going to happen this season.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And they're going to get the championship. It's going to
- 18:13Speaker 1: be sick.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:15Speaker 2: And L.A. is getting ready for the 2028 Olympics. And
- 18:18Speaker 2: they have officially released the slogan for their summer games.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Ready for it?
- 18:24Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Stars align. That is the official slogan for L.A. 2028. Which,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I mean, it makes sense. All the movie stars, they
- 18:33Speaker 2: all live there. It's L.A. we're talking about. And then
- 18:35Speaker 2: they're bringing in all the Olympic stars. And the stars
- 18:38Speaker 2: truly will align. So that is exciting. That is something
- 18:42Speaker 2: to really look forward to. A lot of people are
- 18:44Speaker 2: already planning. I know it's two years away.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You have to.
- 18:47Speaker 2: You have to plan ahead for the Olympics. And I
- 18:50Speaker 2: don't exactly know my plan. I just know that I'm
- 18:52Speaker 2: going to be there.
- 18:53Speaker 1: You're going to go?
- 18:53Speaker 2: I will sleep on the beach if I have to.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I will do what I need to do. I am
- 18:58Speaker 2: going to go.
- 18:59Speaker 1: We should have a show that we do from there.
- 19:02Speaker 1: And it's just you on the beach being like, I
- 19:04Speaker 1: haven't slept in four days.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Literally, that's what's going to happen.
- 19:07Speaker 1: No, but that's exciting. I love when the Olympics come
- 19:09Speaker 1: to the United States. It's always a massive time. And
- 19:13Speaker 1: it's one of the biggest events of the year. the
- 19:15Speaker 1: United States that year.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Of the world.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Far and away, yeah. It's just one of the cool things,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and if you actually do get to go, I'm kind
- 19:21Speaker 1: of jealous. I kind of want to follow you.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Okay, maybe we'll road trip it. I don't know.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it sounds good to me.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I don't have a complete plan yet, so we can
- 19:26Speaker 2: figure it out together. So we got a very dramatic
- 19:31Speaker 2: voice note from our friend Helen in Lakewood. She wants
- 19:35Speaker 2: us to chime in. Okay, that's what What's the Drama is.
- 19:38Speaker 2: You have a situation, there's something going on, but you
- 19:41Speaker 2: want advice, opinions, just to help them on figuring out
- 19:47Speaker 2: what to do next.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Well, and from her voice note, it sounded like she
- 19:51Speaker 1: was pretty upset.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And then she said something specific again, and I'm really
- 19:56Speaker 1: curious to know what the heck kind of feud she
- 19:59Speaker 1: and her neighbors have had.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Okay, so we have Helen on the phone in Lakewood.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Good morning, please, Helen. Good morning. Tell us, what is
- 20:06Speaker 2: the drama with your neighbors right now?
- 20:08Speaker 4: I moved into my house about two years ago and
- 20:11Speaker 4: I had a feud with my neighbors since day one.
- 20:15Speaker 4: We found out before we moved in that they also
- 20:17Speaker 4: had a feud with the people that we bought the
- 20:19Speaker 4: house from. So it's definitely not just us.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, having bad neighbors is the worst. They
- 20:26Speaker 1: literally like know where you sleep. So what's going on?
- 20:28Speaker 4: Well, sometimes they have light shining in our house so
- 20:32Speaker 4: bright towards our way. Sometimes they play like really loud
- 20:35Speaker 4: music late at night, but now it's their Halloween decorations.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 20:41Speaker 4: They purposely made them so inappropriate and I'm not trying
- 20:45Speaker 4: to be a Karen.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I am not trying to be a Karen, not trying to.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Be that person in the neighborhood, but I am so
- 20:52Speaker 4: upset because we have a school bus stop right in
- 20:54Speaker 4: front of our house.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Uh-oh. So kids are there. Kids are seeing what's going on.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I mean, are we talking bloody, gory, inappropriate for Halloween
- 21:04Speaker 2: or what?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Well, that was last year's problem. And after I confronted
- 21:09Speaker 4: them about all the fake, the bloody organs coming out
- 21:13Speaker 4: of the stuffy... dummy on the tree i think this
- 21:17Speaker 4: year they purposely to upset me left out and took
- 21:21Speaker 4: away all the.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Blood and all the gore well okay wait hold on
- 21:25Speaker 1: hold on hold on if they took that away what's
- 21:27Speaker 1: the problem then like what could that be.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Well okay they must have you know gotten a dozen
- 21:33Speaker 4: skeletons they dressed them up in these crude costumes and
- 21:38Speaker 4: let's just say various I mean, no, it's disgusting. Inappropriate positions,
- 21:45Speaker 4: not not suitable for the kids or the neighborhood. And
- 21:49Speaker 4: they stare at them outside at our bus stop.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh, that's kind of funny for me.
- 21:55Speaker 2: No, but we're talking about kids. I know.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I know school.
- 21:58Speaker 2: And I know the kind of inappropriate stuff that is there.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I understand your reaction right now. That sounds awful to
- 22:05Speaker 2: deal with.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I know, and since we've moved in, I tried making
- 22:10Speaker 4: this bus stop just so welcoming for the kids since
- 22:13Speaker 4: the beginning of the school year. I put out a
- 22:15Speaker 4: little bench, and I have a free little library so
- 22:18Speaker 4: they can take books, and right next to it are
- 22:21Speaker 4: these just skanky skeletons. You know, you guys need to
- 22:24Speaker 4: talk me down or give me good ideas on how
- 22:26Speaker 4: to handle this, or I am ready to.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Stop all over those.
- 22:30Speaker 4: and dissemble all of those skeletons one by one.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Josh. She is fired up right now.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I don't mean to laugh right now. I'm sorry. I
- 22:40Speaker 2: don't mean to laugh, but this is.
- 22:42Speaker 1: No, but this is a conundrum. I mean, this is
- 22:44Speaker 1: a bad situation here. I understand. If there are a
- 22:46Speaker 1: lot of kids in your neighborhood... You don't necessarily want
- 22:51Speaker 1: that in plain sight for all the little kids to see. Right, Nina?
- 22:55Speaker 2: All I heard was skanky skeletons and I'm on board.
- 22:58Speaker 2: They need to come down. Not with a school bus
- 23:01Speaker 2: stop right next to the kids. No, no, no.
- 23:04Speaker 1: No.
- 23:04Speaker 2: So give us a call. 303-691-1MIX.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Call us.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Text us. Let's help her out right now because this
- 23:11Speaker 2: is quite an interesting situation. What do you even do
- 23:15Speaker 2: about something like this when it's your neighbor? It's right
- 23:18Speaker 2: next to your house and there's kids to think about. Ooh,
- 23:22Speaker 2: the text line is blowing up right now on Denver's
- 23:25Speaker 2: Morning Show with Nina and Josh on Mix 100. Call
- 23:28Speaker 2: us or text us 303-691-1MIX. We are talking about what's
- 23:30Speaker 2: the drama. We had our friend Cheryl say, She, or sorry, Helen,
- 23:40Speaker 2: she called us about these skanky skeletons, so she says,
- 23:43Speaker 2: that her neighbor put up in her yard. But she
- 23:46Speaker 2: says the only reason she has a problem with it
- 23:49Speaker 2: is because it is right next to a school bus
- 23:52Speaker 2: stop where a bunch of kids are going past it,
- 23:54Speaker 2: and it's inappropriate for the children.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Quickly for you, Nina, I'm just curious to get your
- 23:59Speaker 1: thought for one second. Are you against this, too? Like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: do you think the inappropriate is kind of, because like
- 24:04Speaker 1: I said earlier when Helen mentioned it, I was like,
- 24:05Speaker 1: it's kind of funny.
- 24:07Speaker 2: It is kind of funny. And like you've seen the
- 24:10Speaker 2: pictures before of people. They've put like a pole or
- 24:13Speaker 2: something and then a skeleton on it, you know, stuff
- 24:15Speaker 2: like that. So that's kind of what I'm imagining. And
- 24:18Speaker 2: while normally I would be like, heck, yeah, do what
- 24:20Speaker 2: you want. It's your house, your decorations. And I'm very
- 24:23Speaker 2: much on that side of thing. Like a very anti HOA.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Don't tell me what to do. Get off my lawn
- 24:28Speaker 2: type of type of vibe. But because it is next
- 24:31Speaker 2: to this school bus stop, it is kind of a problem.
- 24:35Speaker 1: See, and I'm, okay, I see where you're coming from. Nina,
- 24:38Speaker 1: I hear you. It's the kids.
- 24:39Speaker 2: You just can't have that inappropriate stuff in front of
- 24:41Speaker 2: the kids.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I just feel like, oh, don't hate me. Please don't
- 24:46Speaker 1: hate me, text line. Please don't hate me. I just
- 24:48Speaker 1: feel like it's okay to do. I mean, it's not. Yeah,
- 24:51Speaker 1: it's your house. I mean, you can decorate however you want.
- 24:53Speaker 1: If you don't have an HOA and they're not kind of,
- 24:55Speaker 1: you know.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Talking to you about it i feel like it's okay.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Okay well the text line is uh kind of all
- 25:04Speaker 5: over the place um someone says i actually want a
- 25:07Speaker 5: picture of the neighbor's house but they agree that it
- 25:10Speaker 5: is inappropriate for kids to be seeing that right in
- 25:13Speaker 5: front of the bus stop oh.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Shoot okay that was alicia okay yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Um angela said oh this is where having an hoa
- 25:21Speaker 2: comes in handy Oh, yeah. I guess because an HOA
- 25:25Speaker 2: would put a stop to that ASAP.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Oh, wait. Hold on. Hold on. We just got one here.
- 25:31Speaker 1: This one coming from the 405. It's Halloween. It's not
- 25:33Speaker 1: that serious. Christmas is around the corner. I'm sure they'll
- 25:37Speaker 1: come down in a couple of days. Okay.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I mean, that's true.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I kind of like that. It isn't that serious, Nina.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I mean, it really isn't. It is serious.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I mean, a few days away, Halloween, you hope that
- 25:45Speaker 2: they take it down by Sunday.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Now, maybe I'm against or not against this because I
- 25:49Speaker 1: don't have kids and I don't have to explain to
- 25:51Speaker 1: them when they come home why they're in these precarious positions,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you know, and what they mean and things like that.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Have that birds and the bees talk a little earlier
- 25:58Speaker 2: than you wanted to.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I know. So maybe I don't know. You might sway me.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I know. I'm like, I'm thinking as if I don't
- 26:03Speaker 1: have kids, you know.
- 26:04Speaker 2: But if you do have kids, and obviously there are
- 26:06Speaker 2: a lot of kids in this neighborhood.
- 26:08Speaker 1: It's tough. That is tough. It is.
- 26:10Speaker 2: We're talking about these skinky skeletons.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Every time you say that.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I know.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I kind of like it, though. She said it, and
- 26:17Speaker 2: it's stuck in my head.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Helen in Lakewood is having some issues with her neighbor,
- 26:21Speaker 2: who put up a bunch of skeletons in their yard
- 26:24Speaker 2: for Halloween, but they are in inappropriate positions, we'll say. Yeah.
- 26:29Speaker 2: But it's right in front of a school bus stop.
- 26:31Speaker 2: And so she wants them to take it down. But
- 26:34Speaker 2: here we are a couple days before Halloween. People are saying,
- 26:37Speaker 2: just wait. It'll almost end. But we do have Lacey
- 26:41Speaker 2: on the phone. Good morning, Lacey. What do you got
- 26:44Speaker 2: to say about what's the drama today?
- 26:48Speaker 3: Uh, good morning guys. Well, I mean, I agree with Josh. Um,
- 26:52Speaker 3: I have a young daughter and I, I think that
- 26:56Speaker 3: we can't protect them from everything. They're going to see
- 26:58Speaker 3: crazy wild stuff. And it's our responsibility as parents to
- 27:02Speaker 3: have those difficult conversations with them. Also, like, I don't
- 27:06Speaker 3: agree in censoring people. So like my husband and I,
- 27:08Speaker 3: we try not to curse, but like, if you come
- 27:10Speaker 3: over to my house and you drop an F bomb, like.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It is what it is.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Like, my daughter's going to hear it in the real world.
- 27:17Speaker 3: She needs to understand she's a child and those things
- 27:19Speaker 3: aren't appropriate. And that's my job and my husband's to
- 27:22Speaker 3: teach that to her. It's not my neighbor's responsibility to...
- 27:28Speaker 3: teach my child those sorts of things.
- 27:30Speaker 1: And again, Lacey, I wanted to ask you really quick.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So you said you have a young daughter. I feel
- 27:35Speaker 1: like a lot of times maybe they don't even realize
- 27:38Speaker 1: what's going on. I mean, she might just be like, Hey, look,
- 27:41Speaker 1: the skeleton fell down. Like it's, you know, there's not
- 27:44Speaker 1: necessarily a reason or a second meaning behind that to them,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you know? Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 3: I think for a lot of kids, like they don't understand.
- 27:52Speaker 3: It's kind of like, I mean, I grew up in, like,
- 27:56Speaker 3: the late 80s, early 90s. Like, how many TV shows,
- 28:00Speaker 3: movies had, now as an adult, that I watch that
- 28:03Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, my gosh, there was so much.
- 28:06Speaker 2: So much, like, innuendo behind it all.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and, yeah, jokes that made it funny for the parents,
- 28:11Speaker 3: but the kids didn't understand it. Now, as an adult,
- 28:13Speaker 3: I get it, and I'm like, oh, that's funny. No
- 28:14Speaker 3: wonder why my mom didn't mind me watching this, because
- 28:16Speaker 3: it was funny to her.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Not annoying. Like, you know, so... I agree with Josh.
- 28:22Speaker 3: I don't think that they always understand those sorts of
- 28:25Speaker 3: things either. But again, the more like if I see
- 28:28Speaker 3: it and I point it out to her and I go, OK,
- 28:30Speaker 3: now that's wrong.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Like it makes it a.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Bigger deal than it is and that it needs to
- 28:36Speaker 3: be like I'm the one bringing attention to it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Not her bringing attention to it. For her, she would
- 28:42Speaker 3: see it and probably just like whatever.
- 28:44Speaker 2: She's picking up a penny. It's fine.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Like, yeah, she would probably sit there and count the skeletons. Mom,
- 28:49Speaker 3: there's There's 22 skeletons on there.
- 28:52Speaker 1: They're multiplying, yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 3: There are.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much, Lacey. Your input as a parent,
- 28:58Speaker 2: you know what? You had some great points there. So
- 29:00Speaker 2: we appreciate you so, so much for calling in. Thank you.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Thank you, guys.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Bye.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Bye.
- 29:06Speaker 2: You know what? Great point from Lacey.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I like it.
- 29:09Speaker 2: It is the parent's job. Yes, you are the ones
- 29:11Speaker 2: who are responsible for having those difficult conversations with your kids.
- 29:15Speaker 2: And it's not necessarily your neighbor's.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Issue but i think it's good and you know you
- 29:18Speaker 1: know what we're getting a lot of texts here too
- 29:20Speaker 1: that are agreeing with lacy being like look honestly it's
- 29:22Speaker 1: not up to the uh family living there that is
- 29:25Speaker 1: decorating to explain it they did it the way they
- 29:27Speaker 1: want to it is their property i understand that there
- 29:30Speaker 1: is a bus stop there and that's you know it
- 29:32Speaker 1: could be seen as unfortunate but they decorated how they
- 29:35Speaker 1: wanted to as long as there's no hoa and they're
- 29:37Speaker 1: like getting calls for it or anything like that yeah
- 29:39Speaker 1: i think it's okay. So should we collectively say leave
- 29:43Speaker 1: the decorations up?
- 29:45Speaker 2: I guess. I mean, I still feel like it's 50-50
- 29:49Speaker 2: on the text line, but we are a few days
- 29:51Speaker 2: away from Halloween. Let's just leave it.
- 29:53Speaker 4: True.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I guess the gavel comes down, Helen. You might have
- 29:56Speaker 1: been a Karen.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yep, you might have been a Karen, girl. We're so sorry.
- 30:00Speaker 2: And hey, real quick, let's get into your celebrity quickie
- 30:02Speaker 2: on Denver's Morning Show. So Jennifer Lawrence is in the
- 30:06Speaker 2: news a whole lot because she recently went on Call
- 30:09Speaker 2: Her Daddy, the podcast, and was talking about all sorts
- 30:12Speaker 2: of stuff, including her private TikTok where she trolls people
- 30:16Speaker 2: all the time. So watch out. That might be Jennifer
- 30:18Speaker 2: Lawrence you're fighting with on TikTok from this random anonymous account.
- 30:22Speaker 2: But She also said that, yes, she has had some
- 30:26Speaker 2: plastic surgery. She came out to say, listen, my body
- 30:28Speaker 2: changed after becoming a mother of two. And she's talking
- 30:33Speaker 2: about it, which a lot of women respect that and
- 30:36Speaker 2: they appreciate her talking about it. She said, my whole
- 30:39Speaker 2: body bounced back on child number one, but after the
- 30:42Speaker 2: second one, nothing bounced back. And yes, she is in
- 30:46Speaker 2: movies and she did have a nude scene that she
- 30:49Speaker 2: had to do after giving birth to her second child.
- 30:53Speaker 2: And she's like, listen, my body changed. Yes, I am
- 30:56Speaker 2: in movies and stuff. And I had to think about that.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But even if she wasn't a movie star, she says
- 31:01Speaker 2: that she thinks she would have done a breast lift
- 31:03Speaker 2: that she had gotten done anyway.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Look, and I think the thing is, is you want
- 31:07Speaker 1: to be comfortable in your own body. And if that
- 31:09Speaker 1: means getting a little plastic surgery and if you can
- 31:11Speaker 1: afford it and you know that your body will be
- 31:12Speaker 1: able to handle it.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and you don't go overboard and you're safe with it.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, there's always, it's a surgery, so there's
- 31:18Speaker 1: always risks involved. And I understand that. But look, if
- 31:22Speaker 1: you are not a fan of what you look at
- 31:24Speaker 1: in the mirror, I'm not saying what anybody else thinks,
- 31:26Speaker 1: of what you look at in the mirror, there's ways
- 31:28Speaker 1: to change it. There's ways to exercise or get something,
- 31:31Speaker 1: you know, augmentation, if you will.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 31:33Speaker 1: And I'm all for it. I'm for it. Go ahead, girl,
- 31:36Speaker 1: do you. It's fine. It's all good. I like it.
- 31:39Speaker 1: All right, so this is exciting for all of the
- 31:42Speaker 1: Batman fans. So Robert Pattinson is in Batman and the
- 31:45Speaker 1: Batman Part 2. Batman Part 2 has been delayed. Three
- 31:50Speaker 1: separate times. And Nina, it has moved the initial target
- 31:54Speaker 1: for October 3rd, 2025, last year, all the way to
- 31:59Speaker 1: February 18th, 2028. Whoa. I don't know what's going on here.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Patterson has been in different things. The company in charge
- 32:08Speaker 1: has delayed it. It has been delayed so many different times.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I don't understand it. However, Patterson has finally said, you
- 32:15Speaker 1: know what? We are back on track now. We are
- 32:18Speaker 1: filming again. We're getting this thing ready. I love Batman.
- 32:21Speaker 1: He's one of my favorite superheroes, if you will.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I think it's great. I liked his first movie. I
- 32:26Speaker 1: thought it was really good. So I'm looking forward to
- 32:28Speaker 1: this next one. It's still looking like it's about two
- 32:32Speaker 1: and a half-ish years away from being released, but they
- 32:35Speaker 1: are officially back filming, and they're, you know, fingers crossed.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Knock on wood. I'm not jinxing this.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 1: They should be back on track to keeping the final
- 32:43Speaker 1: date to February 18th, 2028. Okay. Well, hopefully.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I'm not going to hold my breath, but yeah, we'll see.
- 32:49Speaker 1: It's a long time to hold your breath, Nina.
- 32:50Speaker 2: No, we're not doing that.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You won't make it.
- 32:52Speaker 2: All right, three things you need to know before you
- 32:53Speaker 2: go into the office today. So those GLP-1s, they are
- 32:57Speaker 2: now used for weight loss more than treating any other
- 33:01Speaker 2: medical health condition. Which is kind of crazy to me because, well, yes,
- 33:06Speaker 2: they are helping people lose weight. And you've heard that,
- 33:09Speaker 2: you know, all the celebrities, anyone, even if you need
- 33:12Speaker 2: to lose 10 pounds because of vanity and you don't
- 33:14Speaker 2: actually need to lose it, people are using these GLP-1s.
- 33:18Speaker 2: But these were originally made for diabetic patients. To help
- 33:24Speaker 2: with their blood sugar control. This is what it was
- 33:27Speaker 2: originally made for. It was never intentionally made just for
- 33:31Speaker 2: people to use it as a cosmetic thing to lose weight.
- 33:35Speaker 1: All of a sudden, those with diabetes were like, I
- 33:37Speaker 1: look good.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 33:41Speaker 2: But, yes, so it has taken over. And that is
- 33:44Speaker 2: now what GLP-1s are mainly used for more than anything
- 33:50Speaker 2: else out there medically.
- 33:51Speaker 1: What?
- 33:52Speaker 2: Is that good? Is that bad? I'm not really sure
- 33:54Speaker 2: how I feel about it, honestly.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I have no idea. That's kind of funny, though. How
- 33:59Speaker 1: do you even find that out? Like, truly, was it
- 34:01Speaker 1: just people were starting to be like, hey, I actually
- 34:03Speaker 1: look pretty good. I'm losing weight. I'm dropping the pounds.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I mean, yeah. I mean, you've seen all the photos,
- 34:08Speaker 2: the before and afters. It does work. It does what
- 34:11Speaker 2: it is supposed to do. Yes, it helps you lose weight.
- 34:13Speaker 2: But that is not initially what it was made for.
- 34:15Speaker 2: It was for diabetes.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 2: And blood sugar.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I think Ozempic was for pregnant women, too. Wasn't it
- 34:20Speaker 1: something to help regulate the blood sugar, too? Ozempic as well?
- 34:23Speaker 1: I have no idea, but maybe. Because GLPs and Ozempic
- 34:24Speaker 1: are essentially the same thing.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I think Ozempic is a type of GLP-1.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Oh, no. I think, no, the little blue pill. That
- 34:34Speaker 1: was for pregnant women for blood flow. Okay. And then
- 34:38Speaker 1: all of a sudden other people were like, hey.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Hey, we're looking good. I don't know.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I love how we find things out. Science. All right. So, Nina,
- 34:46Speaker 1: I have a question for you. Have you been to
- 34:47Speaker 1: the Sphere out in Las Vegas?
- 34:48Speaker 2: I have. I went last fall, actually, about a year ago,
- 34:52Speaker 2: and we saw Wizard of Oz.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's so cool. So I have not been. Does
- 34:57Speaker 1: it live up to the hype? Is it as cool
- 34:58Speaker 1: as everybody says?
- 34:59Speaker 2: It is really cool. I'm not going to lie. And
- 35:01Speaker 2: because I had such a great time watching a movie there,
- 35:05Speaker 2: I was like, I need to see a show here.
- 35:07Speaker 2: And I know Big Rob has gone to see the
- 35:09Speaker 2: Backstreet Boys twice already. at the sphere it was so
- 35:12Speaker 2: good so jealous so I haven't seen a show there
- 35:15Speaker 2: but it is really.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Cool well if you have been to the sphere before
- 35:18Speaker 1: I would love to see pictures so send us your
- 35:20Speaker 1: pictures of going to the sphere and experiencing whatever you
- 35:22Speaker 1: got to experience there 303-691-1649 I bring this up because
- 35:26Speaker 1: there is a new one that's just gotten the okay
- 35:29Speaker 1: to be built this one is going to be a
- 35:31Speaker 1: little different though it's in Maryland I'm not quite sure
- 35:34Speaker 1: why we'd go to Maryland for that but it Prince
- 35:36Speaker 1: George's County in Maryland at the National Harbor, and that's
- 35:40Speaker 1: where the venue's gonna be. It's going to be a $ 6, 000 seat,
- 35:45Speaker 1: or seating, 6,000 seating, excuse me, where it's a little
- 35:49Speaker 1: bit smaller. I believe the other sphere holds about 18
- 35:51Speaker 1: to 20,000, so a little bit smaller here, but this
- 35:54Speaker 1: venue's gonna have vibrating seats, 4D effects, and what creators
- 35:59Speaker 1: call the world's highest resolution LED screen, It's going to
- 36:03Speaker 1: be $ 215 million, and I'm here for it. I love
- 36:06Speaker 1: the idea of it, that you can watch a movie there.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It is really cool.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Or a concert or whatever. The visual effects that I
- 36:12Speaker 1: have seen for this thing is absolutely unbelievable.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Those screens make you feel like it is real life
- 36:19Speaker 2: in front of you. The 3D effect is crazy.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Is it overwhelming? That's my only question.
- 36:23Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Is it actually?
- 36:25Speaker 2: If you have a little too much alcohol and forget
- 36:27Speaker 2: where you are for a second and then look around.
- 36:29Speaker 1: You fall down? Yes.
- 36:31Speaker 2: It could freak you out a little bit. It is
- 36:34Speaker 2: just very in your face.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I'm over there like, Nina, how you doing? You're like,
- 36:38Speaker 1: I'm fine. Anyway, this one's coming in a few years.
- 36:41Speaker 1: It'll be ready in 2030. But if you're in Maryland
- 36:44Speaker 1: or traveling around there, you can see a new sphere.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I mean, that's cool. I heard that they were trying
- 36:48Speaker 2: to find a new location. I think they had talked
- 36:51Speaker 2: about Denver briefly. They just weren't sure about Denver. snow
- 36:54Speaker 2: and the harsh sun and stuff like that.
- 36:56Speaker 1: So I think these things are going to be popping
- 36:58Speaker 1: up more and more, to be honest, around the United
- 37:02Speaker 1: States because it's such a cool concept. But you're right,
- 37:04Speaker 1: Denver might be a little tough to get one here.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe eventually. We'll see. And make sure you vote.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I officially dropped off my ballot because it is too
- 37:13Speaker 2: late to mail it in. Reminder that your ballots are
- 37:16Speaker 2: due by 7 next Tuesday. So I drove up to
- 37:20Speaker 2: a drop-off center last yesterday in my Lady Gaga costume,
- 37:24Speaker 2: mind you, okay? So no excuse for you not to
- 37:27Speaker 2: do it. If I could do it dressed up as
- 37:29Speaker 2: Lady Gaga with two pairs of sunglasses on, you can
- 37:32Speaker 2: do it, okay? Especially these drive-up centers. Make it really,
- 37:36Speaker 2: really easy.
- 37:36Speaker 1: They make it so easy.
- 37:37Speaker 2: You don't have to get out of your car. You
- 37:38Speaker 2: literally drive up. It's a little lane. They come up
- 37:41Speaker 2: to your car. They just make sure your envelope is
- 37:43Speaker 2: sealed and signed. And then they put it in their
- 37:46Speaker 2: locked little box there. They offer you a sticker and
- 37:50Speaker 2: you are on your way. So make sure you do
- 37:52Speaker 2: that ASAP, sooner than later. If you'd rather vote in person,
- 37:55Speaker 2: you can do that too. But thank you to Colorado
- 38:00Speaker 2: Votes for making it easy in those drive-thru lanes. That's
- 38:02Speaker 2: game changer right there.
- 38:03Speaker 1: There's no reason not to. It's your civic duty. It's
- 38:05Speaker 1: a really cool thing to be able to voice your
- 38:07Speaker 1: opinion and be heard on it. And yeah, like you said,
- 38:09Speaker 1: you can either vote on Tuesday coming up here. The
- 38:12Speaker 1: polls do close 7 p.m. here.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yep.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Or you can hand it off now. Like you said,
- 38:16Speaker 1: don't try to mail it in. It is too late.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Don't do that. Way too late for that. Do not
- 38:20Speaker 2: mail it in and get to it ASAP, especially if
- 38:22Speaker 2: you're living in Denver because that ballot is long. So
- 38:27Speaker 2: make sure to vote, okay? Just vote.
