- 0:22on static and midnight shows. MTV raised us.
- 0:29You already know lash key hearts and wild eye dreams, feral minds
- 0:38tearing at the scene. You say it's too much to unpack
- 0:46but I'll see you wait at the.
- 1:12Good morning. Welcome or welcome back to that
- 1:1410X from podcast. Before I begin, as usual, I want
- 1:19to give a shout out to MB Radio. Thank you.
- 1:22Just thank you. I appreciate it.
- 1:27OK, well, let's get to it. I I don't know if you guys have
- 1:33experiences, but I certainly have and more so now throughout
- 1:38the years as we move into the twenty 20s or and beyond.
- 1:44So I've noticed or felt like, wow, you know what?
- 1:51Why is everything? Our surroundings seem less
- 1:56colorful. Everything seems to be
- 2:01pageified. That's that's the word that I,
- 2:03you know, I put in the title it, it just doesn't make sense.
- 2:09Everything seems so boring, like new buildings that are popping
- 2:14up. They look like they came out of
- 2:15the same, you know, cookie cutter sort of thing.
- 2:20They're they're lacking the characteristics that we find so
- 2:30enticing it in history, right. Even in I I was so 1950s,
- 2:42sixties, seventies, 80s. It's just it's all sort of a
- 2:50palette of grey, beige, subdued, blocky.
- 2:56There's no the Victorian buildings, you know, that have
- 3:01the carvings and different colours in the Yeah, well, but
- 3:13more and more now, and that's the difference.
- 3:20I started noticing. I'm like, OK, so when I walk
- 3:24into any big box stores, you can always find yourself confronted.
- 3:33I mean, confronted you're like, whoa, that's a lot of TV's like,
- 3:39and it seems like they're getting bigger and bigger and
- 3:43bigger and bigger too. Like that's a whole wall, like,
- 3:48and wow, you know, the images are coming out of it, like off
- 3:56the screen, like, wow, they're so beautiful.
- 4:00You know, because they, they have that little I I don't know,
- 4:03whatever plastic, they sort of adhere to the screen HD, you
- 4:10know, whatever high definition, whatever colours and all this
- 4:15stuff for your game playing for just regular viewing.
- 4:19And, and there's this loop, continuous loop of extraordinary
- 4:28images, like fields of flower, rainbow color flowers, right?
- 4:35And, and it's, it's, I guess it's a drone.
- 4:39Maybe it's drone images of it sweeping over this field of
- 4:46rainbow color flowers and surrounded by grass.
- 4:49They're so green. Like I, you know, wrote in my
- 4:52description, you swear you can, you're benefited from the, the
- 4:57chlorophyll that's being synthesized and you know,
- 4:59because of the oxygen and all this stuff.
- 5:01And you can almost, because there's a slight breathe also
- 5:06too, you can see the flowers sort of, and the grass making a
- 5:12soft wave. And you, you swear if you stood
- 5:15there long enough and, and stared at it, it meant you can
- 5:21feel it almost. It's so real.
- 5:23It is so real. You know, as much as I, I try to
- 5:30stay away from like the wall of being confronted by the wall of
- 5:36big screens or whatever size the screen is.
- 5:40Sometimes I am just captivated, so drawn to whatever is being
- 5:47put on display of of life, right.
- 5:53Obviously it's not artificial images because we logically
- 5:58understand that if it's a like a cartoon, well, yeah, those
- 6:02images can be vivid and very colorful.
- 6:05That's not real life. We can walk away and laugh,
- 6:07whatever. But when it's the depiction is
- 6:10real life, we're we're drawn to it.
- 6:17You're like, wow, that's so awesome.
- 6:20And from what I was saying before, when we look around like
- 6:27it seems like our world, our environments are being
- 6:33bageified, like everything looks like the inside of a bagel, very
- 6:42bland, right. I'm not saying bagel is not
- 6:45good, does not taste good or like bread.
- 6:48Like it's it's not colorful. It's it's it's beige.
- 6:53It's like the I guess if for all of us who went to boot camp.
- 6:58Really No, it's the inside of the squad that you're like, it's
- 7:01all the same like brown beige. I don't think there's white
- 7:08because it would get just get too dirty, But it's so boring.
- 7:13It's like eating oatmeal every day for every, every meal.
- 7:20That's what it feels like. But if you just suppose there's
- 7:26two images like, but if you put yourself in front of the this
- 7:30TV's, all the images, they're colorful, they're vivid.
- 7:34They're like, I'm just so drawn in by it.
- 7:40You want to disappear into the images like because it seems so
- 7:44much more exciting. It's so alive.
- 7:48It's alive. Anybody who's watched Young
- 7:51Frankenstein, it, you know, most of the time when I do get caught
- 7:58up into watching those, sometimes I'm just like, that
- 8:04would be so awesome. I I do have to pull myself away
- 8:10from those screens because it because, well, you know, life is
- 8:15lifing and when I would do walk away, I I feel sort of like
- 8:22this, let being let down like man, I had to go back to the
- 8:27humdrum whatever oatmeal eaten every day, every meal life and
- 8:37it just doesn't feel as colorful, right.
- 8:41It doesn't feel colorful, it doesn't look colorful.
- 8:44It just, it just is compared to what we're being shown on the TV
- 8:53and it doesn't matter what we're watching because the whatever
- 8:58the technology is, it feels like all the colors are popping off
- 9:02the screen is are heightened. Like how come the red is so red
- 9:06in there? And when I look at it out here,
- 9:08just like man, like man. And I never quite understood or
- 9:18I mean, I, I don't, never gave it a second thought when I walk
- 9:23away, I'm like, I gotta go back to, to real life instead of
- 9:28yeah, I, I wanted to dive into those images that have been
- 9:31great, you know, but I never understood why or even thought
- 9:37about why I felt sort of somber or sad and just kind of let out
- 9:44a big sigh. It wasn't until recently when I
- 9:49sold my house, I sort of made the connection it, it started
- 9:58like, oh, maybe, maybe that's why I, I promise I will build a
- 10:05bridge to it. Well, when we sell anybody who
- 10:09sold a house recently, especially in recent years, of
- 10:13course you have to stage it. You have to make sure it looks
- 10:16nice. It you have to live there, but
- 10:18make make it look like you don't live there.
- 10:20And the Realtors often give you the advice.
- 10:24Don't have pictures of make sure if you have accent walls, like
- 10:30just say you had like whatever color paint over it.
- 10:33You want the walls to be basically this color, right?
- 10:37Because not everybody likes different color walls.
- 10:42So at the end of this whole staging period of your house,
- 10:49the inside of it, everything is pageified and they don't want
- 10:55you to have anything in particular.
- 10:59That's too much for this, too much for that.
- 11:01Basically, you're selling it to the masses and not those who
- 11:07potentially will have the same taste as you and I.
- 11:10I don't know who who really do have the same taste.
- 11:14And even for individuals who may not be selling their house, if
- 11:19you look inside a lot because a lot of people now actually do
- 11:27film or you know, do their little social media posts from
- 11:31the inside house, even while living in there and not having
- 11:36to consider selling or appealing to the public who may be coming
- 11:42to see the house, You can see a lot of it is toned down like it.
- 11:49It became popular, I think in the early 2000s, this subdued
- 11:55look, right? Some at most things are off
- 12:00wife, off, white, beige, white, like green, not green, Gray.
- 12:08And then your surroundings also become the same palette.
- 12:18And also when I was mentioning the buildings, they're also the
- 12:22same color. So from the environments that we
- 12:25live in to the environments that we go out to that encounter us,
- 12:32it's slowly being like the color is being bleached out for
- 12:39reasons unknown to me. I don't know why.
- 12:45Well, here lies my theory. Compared to even when I said in
- 12:56like 80s, you know, 'cause people walked around loud shirts
- 13:00and you know, big hair, which I did appreciate that.
- 13:05And you know, all the colors so bright and even in our own homes
- 13:12we have neon. We had all this and usually we
- 13:16lived in homes with like shag carpet of different very bright
- 13:22colors, not saying the best colors, like just weird.
- 13:26Like potentially you could have been living in houses that were
- 13:30built in the, I don't know, 9, early 1900s, like or mid 1900s
- 13:38during the war, post war and you have pink sinks or teal or
- 13:45whatever. And our houses were also filled
- 13:49with colorful little knickknacks and gadgets and and we had those
- 13:55couches that are Oh my goodness. I don't know if you guys
- 13:57remember or you probably had this couches that were filled
- 14:01with like flowers. There was a meme where a army
- 14:06dude was wearing the sort of, I don't know, the Gray looking
- 14:13cammies. I think they still call the BDU.
- 14:16I'm not sure, but he sort of disappeared into it that those
- 14:20kind of couches may for granted, they were not the prettiest, but
- 14:26they still brought some sort of like pattern color.
- 14:29And we may not appreciate all the colors of the past, but of
- 14:36our environments, but nonetheless, they there was
- 14:38there was color. There were things didn't all
- 14:43blend together, like just a big bowl of mashed potatoes, you
- 14:48know, or oatmeal. I keep saying I must be hungry.
- 14:51I'm using a lot of food references, but but why like
- 15:00selling my house like, oh God, I can't.
- 15:05I basically put away every piece, if not all of it that had
- 15:12any sort of color for fear of causing somebody be like, oh, I
- 15:19did not like that in there. That was, you know, her
- 15:21decorations were awful and I could not see myself living in
- 15:26the house which my decorations would have been gone.
- 15:28They could have put whatever. So I had to make it as mild as
- 15:32possible. And that's when I started
- 15:37thinking, wow. So this trend versus the trend
- 15:43of having HDT VS are as big as your wall with life popping out
- 15:48at you at maximum speed at saturated colors.
- 15:53So colors are so saturated and so life filled with life
- 16:02compared to what we live around that we are now.
- 16:09We want to, we need to be simulated in that way, right?
- 16:14Not just colors. Because more and more now, even
- 16:22if it's depicting real life or not real life, but just life,
- 16:26everything pops. It's so pop, it's popping it on
- 16:30the TV compared to our life and it's increasingly subtly but
- 16:37increasingly making us look at live in the images of the TV,
- 16:51right? Because our environment is so
- 16:55bland that the only excitement that only what not excitement,
- 17:04stimulation like real what we think life should be is not what
- 17:09we're living, but what's being depicted on the TV.
- 17:13We want to go in there. So we increasingly immerse
- 17:17ourselves into those images and watch the fields of rainbow
- 17:23colored flowers and the green grass and we stay inside, glued
- 17:28to the TV, needing more and more of life on screen instead of
- 17:34life in real life. In our reality, surrounded by
- 17:39beta fied everything seems like we don't have a choice.
- 17:48Like why can't I disappear into that?
- 17:51Why does life have to be this? Because if you walk around being
- 17:56colorful, right, you'll get noticed.
- 18:03And some people do choose that. But most people have because we
- 18:10buy what's being sold. And even the clothes.
- 18:14As a woman, I look at different companies.
- 18:19You know, you go online, you just scrolling.
- 18:21You do scrolling because why? And I look at all the different
- 18:26clothing colors and they're pretty bland, right?
- 18:31There's really no choice. So we are being almost forced by
- 18:38the environmental factors to envy what's being displayed on
- 18:50the screen because that's what real that's what we think real
- 18:54life should be. But what we live is completely
- 18:57different. It is this how the industries
- 19:04are. You can say this is conspiracy
- 19:08theory, but I find my maybe this is just me.
- 19:12OK, so but I do find myself longing for to be in those
- 19:18images. Like I'm not talking about crazy
- 19:22stuff. I I don't watch true crime and
- 19:26stuff like that. I'm talking about like people go
- 19:30on vacation. Wow, they give the best images,
- 19:34right? They give the highlight reel of
- 19:38what they experienced, not the mundane, not the bland mashed
- 19:42potatoes, oatmeal version, right?
- 19:46And we're living life that life doesn't have highlight reels in
- 19:54a bridge time. Like, oh, people, when they go
- 19:58on vacation, of course they're not going to show you.
- 20:00Oh my goodness. I sat in the freaking airplane
- 20:02seat for 10 hours. I couldn't move and my legs were
- 20:06dying like they go to when they arrive, when they were went to
- 20:11wherever this monument, this place.
- 20:14And they were odd. And the people and the
- 20:17environment was great. And so that also adds quote UN
- 20:26quote color seems life is more vivid on screen because it's not
- 20:33in real time. It's condensed to only show us
- 20:37the good, the beautiful vivid part, right?
- 20:42The rainbow color flowers or whatever you like the the race
- 20:46driver speeding down this roadway and just oh wow, you
- 20:50know, but not the, I don't know, the maintenance that goes into
- 20:56the cars, any of the things that we perceive as being beige,
- 21:06like, Oh my God, I know I have to do this and it's so boring.
- 21:10They show you the final outcome, like let's just say fitness
- 21:18influencer and they show you a picture of themselves just cut
- 21:25and they're beautiful. Their body is, they're strong
- 21:29and all this stuff. American Ninja.
- 21:34I don't know, I, I, I don't watch those shows, but they
- 21:39compete in these difficult, very challenging athletic
- 21:47competitions And you see them, you see they are ripped with
- 21:51muscle and they did all these fantastic things.
- 21:54But very seldom do we see the mundane like they get up every
- 22:00day at maybe, I don't know, 4/3 in the morning to work out for
- 22:05hours. That's mundane.
- 22:09That's the mashed potatoes. What we're seeing is the when
- 22:13they are competing and they're doing all these feats of just
- 22:18great physicality, I don't know, That's like Thanksgiving.
- 22:22Not only did you have mashed potatoes, now you have the
- 22:25cranberry sauce, you have people there, There's jolly music
- 22:29playing. Nobody's fighting.
- 22:31We're talking about good Thanksgiving, right?
- 22:34And like life comes together and it's just like, wow, that's
- 22:38life. And we're watching them.
- 22:40We're so drawn in. But it it ultimately, or not
- 22:52ultimately slowly, it's eroding our own enjoyment of life, real
- 23:00life with its own highlight reels.
- 23:03It just comes in a longer duration, right?
- 23:08We have those highlight reels too.
- 23:09That's what those people on TV are showing, those highlight
- 23:15reels, those beautiful moments that that make us feel alive.
- 23:25And more and more we're just, we would rather be living life in
- 23:34the screens or on the screens or it within the stories that's
- 23:38being within life, that's being displayed on screens than living
- 23:41our real life. And what's stopping us to say,
- 23:48OK, you're living in your house, you're not selling it if your
- 23:53house, I'm renting, so I'm not doing this.
- 23:58What's stopping anybody from putting up that really, I don't
- 24:04know, a bright yellow wall or maybe make your whole house
- 24:09bright yellow, whatever color, right?
- 24:11Just to add color and bring back the the Knick knacks that we had
- 24:18or people had from even the 80s or potentially even the early
- 24:2590s or or 40s or 50s and make your house colorful so you're
- 24:33living a colorful life instead of longing for this colorful
- 24:37life that is being put on display while our environment,
- 24:43this is not. Some of it is within our
- 24:45control, how we live within our own environment.
- 24:49But while life is being drained, real life is being drained of
- 24:53its colors. We can still inject color into
- 24:57our own lives, the same that's being displayed on the TV, but
- 25:07with the highlight reels, which also inject color, right?
- 25:11This colorful life that we want, but we can notice those moments.
- 25:20It might take a little longer, but we can capture it, we can
- 25:24put it down, we can document it and then look back on the
- 25:28highlights, on the vividness of our own life to rival anything
- 25:35that can be displayed on TV. Real life is so much more
- 25:41colorful. I can't, I can't get away from
- 25:43this colorful thing because I because that's how they entice
- 25:46us. They they just, oh, look at all
- 25:48this. It's so much more exciting.
- 25:50Real life is so much more exciting when taken in the
- 25:53collective than anything they can put on TV Our lives, right?
- 26:00Like put on something colorful today.
- 26:04Like don't there are plenty of resale stores that sell very
- 26:11bright. Whatever, right?
- 26:13Inject the color into your own life.
- 26:15Go and see fields of flower, rainbow colored flowers if you
- 26:21can. If you live near, I don't know,
- 26:27gardens, go see it. Maybe that's not your thing.
- 26:30Go to a museum or go for go for a walk in the fall and actually
- 26:37enjoy the changing of the colours, right?
- 26:40Instead of living life, peering life and wishing we were living
- 26:48life through screens. And I suppose that's why a lot
- 26:56of us are addicted to addicted to screens and just 24/7 because
- 27:02it's the dopamine hit right? There's there's so many
- 27:06different factors, but I really do believe that we are
- 27:12collectively being almost hypnotized to disregard real
- 27:25life and to dive into this. Images that are curated captured
- 27:32the highlight reels that add color to life that we want to
- 27:35live in a way to control. I know, here we go.
- 27:40I should have put on a tinfoil hat.
- 27:44I didn't think of it until now. But I don't.
- 27:47I don't know if it's so much as the conspiracy theory, but now
- 27:55the ice cream we eat is not, doesn't taste as good as the ice
- 27:59cream, the same ice cream that's being shown on the TV, right?
- 28:03Because it seems like it, it's brighter, it, it's tastier
- 28:07because the actors are like, oh wow, so good, right?
- 28:11And we, we have it in front of us and, and while we're watching
- 28:16TV, we don't even notice what it tastes like, how our taste buds
- 28:21respond to it, right? We we keep filling our lives up
- 28:28with images which also distort what real life is.
- 28:34Those sat like the color saturated images that are being
- 28:39brought up on the screens. It's not real.
- 28:42It is not real. There's no way.
- 28:47It's just not real. OK, But the color that we can
- 28:53put, the colors that we can experience, right?
- 28:56The colors that we can experience in life, whether
- 29:01through pictures or to your surroundings or your own
- 29:04highlight reel that adds the burst of color in your life
- 29:08that's real, that will stick with us without leaving a
- 29:13longing for this artificially injected.
- 29:19It's it's like lip fillers, right?
- 29:21It's not real. OK, we all know it.
- 29:23There's it's, it's not real in a severe frown lines.
- 29:30What are those anyways? I'm just saying if you get
- 29:33Botox, that's not real. I, I, it's, you think you're
- 29:42adding a little color because you're getting older, right?
- 29:45You're actually removing the color from your life.
- 29:48I'm not saying you shouldn't take care of yourself.
- 29:51You know, I guess people want to do what they want to do, but
- 29:54that's part of the the gradual beauty of life or not beauty.
- 30:04Like a lot of us. I'm older.
- 30:07I do have lots of severe frown lines, Not frown lines, lines,
- 30:13wrinkles, but that that shows me that I lived.
- 30:20And when we when we voluntarily erase the color of our lives, I
- 30:25mean the colorful life that we have lived from the signs, from
- 30:29our skin, from maybe our, our dress, how we act, how we
- 30:33behave, how we want to decorate, what kind of, you know, cars we
- 30:39want to drive? Well, we're baitifying it and
- 30:43giving all these artificial narratives colors, the control
- 30:52to sort of manipulate in our own minds.
- 30:55Like, oh, my life is so boring. I wish it wasn't like that.
- 30:58But when we look around, it's not.
- 31:00It's not. So for those who have, I know
- 31:04I'm everywhere. It's just that I just feel I'm
- 31:10nerved by how life has become colorless like by design.
- 31:18If you look around the environment, right?
- 31:21I live in a pretty old city and there are not as many cookie
- 31:30cutter houses. And I, I walk around, there's
- 31:33stained color, stained glass that gives the building
- 31:38character versus I've also lived in California where all the
- 31:42houses basically you have choice of like 3 different houses on
- 31:46the same block. It basically you can walk into
- 31:49anybody's house and know exactly the layout and all this stuff.
- 31:52You don't have to ask where's the bathroom, right?
- 31:54But here you do. And, and it's slowly, slowly
- 31:59eroding life like the beauty of life for this Gray
- 32:10commercialized thing, industrial, very sterile.
- 32:15And that's unnerving to me. And I do find myself, that's,
- 32:18that's where I guess I want to share.
- 32:24I do find myself longing for the beautiful images being shown
- 32:31across my screen. And I sit and I look around and
- 32:36I'm like, my life is so boring. But it's not so it's not so like
- 32:40when I look at my fur baby, he's colorful.
- 32:45He's colorful, right? He adds, he injects color into
- 32:51my life when he, when I every time I take him out to, you
- 32:57know, do his business, I found that he sneezes.
- 33:02He's he's so happy, I guess he's so happy.
- 33:04He sneezes, right? And he's wagging his tail and
- 33:07sometimes he he dances a little and that's, that's colorful.
- 33:15That's like, I can feel the burst of like, let's just say,
- 33:21you know, happiness is, I don't know if you feel this way, but
- 33:24it's like a burst of yellow sun kind of popping into my life
- 33:28right then and there. Sometimes I'm like, dude, you're
- 33:31like, when he dances, he will step on my feet.
- 33:33I'm like, dude, you're crushing my feet, right.
- 33:38Even that is it, it adds color, but it wasn't until recently
- 33:43that I noticed these things because I I didn't have the
- 33:47bandwidth because of all that stuff with my house.
- 33:51Those who have listened to me for a while, you know, I had Oh
- 33:54my goodness, that was crazy. But I started noticing these
- 33:58things and how he would do different things.
- 34:01And he is a big, he covers a wide color palette in my life,
- 34:10right? He, he brings me joy and it's
- 34:15colorful joy and, and sometimes he makes me, he frustrates me.
- 34:19And that's also another different color.
- 34:22You can, I don't know if you can really see that on screen.
- 34:27I know I, I do watch a lot of those videos on screen about how
- 34:32puppies do crazy things and make people laugh, but that feels
- 34:37flat to me because it's not my own.
- 34:41It's not his. His pen name is JoJo, OK?
- 34:45It is not JoJo doing those things.
- 34:46While I can relate and I think they're cute, it's almost like
- 34:51I'm, I'm a, I'm alive. You know, when he does those
- 34:57things, it injects color into my life.
- 35:00It injects life into my life. It it is incomparable.
- 35:05Nothing on screen can ever, ever compete with what he does.
- 35:13And I wonder, can can, can we take back the control?
- 35:18Sure we can't. You can wear you can be like the
- 35:2270s and dressed in outrageous colors.
- 35:27You can be like the 80s and dressed in outrageous colors.
- 35:31You can be like the 40s and 50s and how women dressed men
- 35:38dressed with being dapper, right?
- 35:41They had the fedora looking hats and women did the hair.
- 35:47And be your, be your own color. Be colorful, not just in what
- 35:54you wear and what you eat and how what color your surroundings
- 35:58are. But notice the colors in your
- 36:03own life, which is unrivaled. No TV can rival it.
- 36:09And do you have the resources to go see the fields of flour
- 36:13rather than to watch it on TV? Wouldn't it be better?
- 36:18Wouldn't it? Wouldn't that feel more alive?
- 36:21Wouldn't that be more colourful in real life?
- 36:28I, I just think we have been sort of slowly being cornered
- 36:35into not paying attention to our own colourful lives by by
- 36:45design. And we seek the highlight reels
- 36:50of somebody else's life, even though they had to live that
- 36:53mundane thing, but they presented us.
- 36:55Look at how exciting my life is and yours is not, but ours.
- 36:59Our lives are colorful depending on and it, it doesn't have to be
- 37:04just all happy because I, I don't know how I, I don't think
- 37:07we can function like that. It, it's all of the colors of
- 37:11the rainbow, right? It could be because you're mad.
- 37:15You are so spectacularly mad at something.
- 37:18Well, that's color and you were so moved, you were crying.
- 37:23That's color. That's colorful.
- 37:25That's a vivid blue for me, right?
- 37:34Perhaps you fell in love with a piece of music and you couldn't
- 37:40stop listening to it for hours and days, maybe months.
- 37:45That's color it it. It imprinted this feeling that
- 37:49no, nothing on screen can elicit from you as what you're
- 37:58experiencing can do. And nothing imprints in your
- 38:03memory. Because when we, when we close
- 38:08our eyes, you may not see life as color because I'm using it as
- 38:12a metaphor. The different nuanced feelings.
- 38:17You could have been sad, glad, and, you know, a little
- 38:19nostalgic all at the same time. And sure, maybe a movie that you
- 38:27saw triggered something like it. But you, you will soon forget.
- 38:36We don't really remember movies, right?
- 38:38We remember the only reason why we relate to movies that bring
- 38:43our colorful emotions back is because we've experienced it.
- 38:50We know how that feels, that sort of how it feels in the
- 38:54heart and the mind. And for those who are just
- 38:57listening, I'm doing, when I say The Colorful Life, I'm doing air
- 39:00quotes because that's what I see as adding color, right?
- 39:06And that's why I see us being so drawn to those big screens.
- 39:13That's colorful life. Life is colorful in the screens
- 39:16because guess what? The, the, the color saturation.
- 39:19You can change color saturation, right?
- 39:22You can make it bland if you want to.
- 39:27That's why we're so fixed on it, because we feel that our lives
- 39:31are not colorful because it's being pageified.
- 39:35It really is. And we're sort of going along
- 39:38with it. I'm not saying we're consciously
- 39:40doing it, but just by design, we're like, oh, McDonald's looks
- 39:44like it's just a big old grey box.
- 39:47OK. I miss when they had the, you
- 39:50know, ball pits where you can probably catch every disease.
- 39:54You know, it was colorful and there's no such thing now.
- 40:02But we can't. We do have agency over how we
- 40:08live our own colorful lives. Experience the color within our
- 40:13own lives instead of being captured in totality by whatever
- 40:18they feed us on screen. Take back control.
- 40:22Do it in your own way. It doesn't have to be clothes.
- 40:24It doesn't have to be how you paint your house.
- 40:27It can just be that you are living in color.
- 40:30Wait, wasn't that a show? I'm getting old.
- 40:35I can't remember. So see, that's colorful that I
- 40:41don't know which color shame is, but I, I felt it.
- 40:48So I I don't remember, but yeah, like you can live your life in
- 40:55full HD color saturation to whatever you want to.
- 41:00You don't have to stare at ATV. You don't have to long for it
- 41:05because you are living it. Just meh.
- 41:11Let TV be TV and let us be the real artist, the the masters
- 41:21that we can live our life in our own colorful way.
- 41:26I think perhaps that can be one of the factors that will remove
- 41:32us from being so glued to all the screens, because I'm glued
- 41:36to screens, right? And but you know, but when I
- 41:40have to take JoJo out, oh, I noticed he's very colorful.
- 41:45Him as a little little dance. It's a burst of light for me.
- 41:50It's very bright. So I guess, as usual, most of
- 41:58this stuff I talk about is because I notice it and I find
- 42:02deficiency in myself. And I'm sharing it because man,
- 42:08life seems just like a big old bowl of mashed potatoes.
- 42:11And I love mashed potatoes, but not the living life in that
- 42:16beige beige fine way is boring because I did it.
- 42:24I don't have to eat mashed potatoes all the time.
- 42:26Even if I loved it, it gets boring.
- 42:30It's because I got bamboozled. I got hypnotized.
- 42:36I got tricked into thinking that a digital presented projected
- 42:42image of life is so much richer in color than what I'm living,
- 42:47which is not true. I hope I was able to draw that
- 42:52the build a bridge for, you know, selling the house, because
- 42:56I had to baitify everything like, man, it's so boring.
- 43:00Who will want to buy this? And still I had people like, oh,
- 43:03I can never do that. That's just too I can't I don't
- 43:07like those colors like what I didn't understand it.
- 43:11So it's that was the basically the I guess the string that sort
- 43:17of unravelled everything that eventually pulled the light bulb
- 43:20moment like aha, I get it. The light came on.
- 43:24So I wanted to share it. Our lives are so much more
- 43:28colorful than what is presented on TV.
- 43:30And if you have the opportunity and the resources to go see
- 43:34those colorful things that you want to experience in your life
- 43:38and do it, and if you prefer to add color to your own life, then
- 43:43do it. We have the control and I and I
- 43:47hope we can collectively take back the beauty of life, the
- 43:52color of life, how colorful life is away from industries are
- 44:01designed to remove us from the beauty within our own lives.
- 44:12Yeah, I think I'd be that that hoarse enough.
- 44:17So as usual, I'll see you guys in two weeks.
- 44:22And thank you for being here and listening to my deep thoughts.
- 44:27Not really. I do remember there was a skit
- 44:30on SNL about deep thoughts. Our mind just is ridiculous, but
- 44:36thank you for being here and listening to me and I pray for
- 44:39you guys all the time until two weeks from now.
