- 0:15Speaker 1: Attack on Titan is many things. It's dark, it's action packed.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It deals with real world issues. It deals with our
- 0:22Speaker 1: innermost parts. It deals with freedom, slavery, love, hate, duty, heroes, devils, titans.
- 0:30Speaker 1: The show is full of everything that makes a series great.
- 0:34Speaker 1: The foreshadowing is top tier, as things are always foreshadowed
- 0:38Speaker 1: from the very start. Some are more obvious and others
- 0:41Speaker 1: are less obvious. That is why so many fans of
- 0:44Speaker 1: the series have begun to go on little Easter egg
- 0:46Speaker 1: hunts with isayama sense to find every moment in the
- 0:49Speaker 1: series that foreshadows something else, even if it is small
- 0:53Speaker 1: and seemingly meaningless. Some of my favorite moments that foreshadow
- 0:56Speaker 1: the future were the future er and events that are
- 0:59Speaker 1: present for even the first episode. And while I guess
- 1:02Speaker 1: you could argue that these people could be anyone, one
- 1:05Speaker 1: thing is certain. They look exactly like Erin, from the
- 1:09Speaker 1: clothes he wears, to the way he stands and walks,
- 1:11Speaker 1: to the fact that he shows up alone in strange times.
- 1:15Speaker 1: This one guy watching the Scouts return to Shaganhina even
- 1:18Speaker 1: has the same haircut as Erin. I mean, come on,
- 1:21Speaker 1: we already know that Isayama is into this type of thing.
- 1:24Speaker 1: This means that even the smallest details that occur in
- 1:26Speaker 1: the series have the heaviest meanings, so imagine our surprise
- 1:30Speaker 1: when these meetings and events change in the anime. This
- 1:33Speaker 1: leads to a common theory that perhaps Attack on Titan
- 1:36Speaker 1: might not end the way we expect. Also, by the way,
- 1:39Speaker 1: there will be spoilers for Attack on Titan's ending. Obviously,
- 1:43Speaker 1: if you don't want to be spoiled, this is your warning.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Welcome to the Amagi. Before we begin, we publish a
- 1:49Speaker 1: new video every day, so be sure to subscribe to
- 1:51Speaker 1: our channel and ring the bell to get notified about
- 1:53Speaker 1: our latest videos. Additionally, we've noticed that some people seem
- 1:57Speaker 1: to be getting automatically unsubscribed from the Amagai, so if
- 2:00Speaker 1: you could double check that you are still indeed subscribed,
- 2:03Speaker 1: it would mean a lot. The Amagi's reach stretches beyond
- 2:05Speaker 1: just this channel, so if you're a fan of us,
- 2:07Speaker 1: please consider subscribing to our other channels and following us
- 2:10Speaker 1: on all of our social media help us reach our
- 2:12Speaker 1: goal of passing one hundred thousand followers on all of
- 2:14Speaker 1: our accounts by the end of the year. This theory
- 2:17Speaker 1: was one I originally had heard about but never really
- 2:20Speaker 1: looked into until recently. Now, the manga's ending received a
- 2:24Speaker 1: mixed bag of nuts in regards to fan reaction. Some
- 2:27Speaker 1: people like me expected this sort of ending and felt
- 2:30Speaker 1: it was satisfactory enough to let slide. It was originally
- 2:34Speaker 1: around this time that I first encountered this theory, and
- 2:36Speaker 1: to be honest, I really just saw this theory as
- 2:39Speaker 1: all the haters doped up on copium. I never paid
- 2:42Speaker 1: it much mind. But recently, after rewatching the series to
- 2:45Speaker 1: this point, I've decided to look a little deeper into
- 2:48Speaker 1: what all this could mean, and now I'm actually convinced
- 2:51Speaker 1: that this is an equal possibility to anything else. Most
- 2:54Speaker 1: of this is thanks to Isayama's deep tying of threads
- 2:57Speaker 1: and foreshadowing of everything. In the smallest detail, we could
- 3:01Speaker 1: merely say that the anime studios that made Attack on
- 3:03Speaker 1: Titan with Studios and Mappa, could have changed a few
- 3:05Speaker 1: things to make it fit better. But if we take
- 3:07Speaker 1: every small difference as intentional on the part of Isayama
- 3:10Speaker 1: and the studios making the series, then we begin to
- 3:13Speaker 1: see something new. But before we start talking about how
- 3:16Speaker 1: the Attack on Titan series ending may change in the anime.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Let's begin to go into why it would make perfect
- 3:21Speaker 1: sense if it did. As any fan who has seen
- 3:23Speaker 1: Attack on Titan realizes that the Founder through the Paths
- 3:27Speaker 1: is capable of traveling through time and space. There were
- 3:30Speaker 1: like at least two episodes regarding Zeke and Erin moving
- 3:33Speaker 1: through time. But what not many fans realize is that
- 3:36Speaker 1: Attack on Titan actually contains a multiverse of different timelines
- 3:39Speaker 1: and realities, and all of these timelines seem to revolve
- 3:42Speaker 1: around Mikasa. So far, we have identified four different timelines
- 3:45Speaker 1: through this. There is the original timeline, the manga timeline,
- 3:49Speaker 1: the Lost Girls timeline, and the anime timeline. These four
- 3:53Speaker 1: timelines we can confirm exist. In the original timeline, the
- 3:57Speaker 1: moment occurs during the time when Erin and Mikasa meet
- 3:59Speaker 1: up outside of the refugee camp before they party down.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm sure everyone remembers when the Ldans were partying in
- 4:05Speaker 1: the refugee camp. Well, what people don't realize is that
- 4:08Speaker 1: this was a fork in the path. Mikassa Ackerman has
- 4:11Speaker 1: often been associated with butterflies, and I'm sure we've all
- 4:14Speaker 1: heard of the butterfly effect. This is the theory that
- 4:17Speaker 1: any action no matter how small, has a consequence somewhere
- 4:20Speaker 1: in the world and tends to be a commonly used
- 4:22Speaker 1: device in regards to any time travel story. In most cases,
- 4:26Speaker 1: this result in a branched off timeline that can occur
- 4:28Speaker 1: just from a time traveler being present in the past,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and this is somewhat how things work with Mikasa in
- 4:34Speaker 1: this alternate world. Erin is confused about what he should do,
- 4:37Speaker 1: should he really cause the rumbling and destroy the world
- 4:40Speaker 1: all of the innocent along with the evil. Aaron is
- 4:42Speaker 1: doubting himself at this time, and is also doubting his motivations,
- 4:46Speaker 1: and so he turns to Mikasa and asks her a
- 4:48Speaker 1: simple question, what do you think about me? Mikassa in
- 4:52Speaker 1: the original timeline confesses her love to Erin in this dimension.
- 4:56Speaker 1: After her confession, Aaron gives up his hate and forgets
- 4:59Speaker 1: about causing their rumbling. He and Mikassa run off with
- 5:02Speaker 1: each other, where Erin decides to spend the last four
- 5:04Speaker 1: years of his life with Mikasa. He uses the attack
- 5:07Speaker 1: Titan to build them a house, and the two live
- 5:09Speaker 1: in peace until Erin reaches the end of his life.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And as you all know, the Titan Shifters live with
- 5:14Speaker 1: the curse of Amir. When Emir first took upon herself
- 5:17Speaker 1: as the founding Titan, she lived for thirteen years until
- 5:20Speaker 1: someone attempted to assassinate King Fritz. Compelled by her love
- 5:23Speaker 1: for the man who had made her life hell, she
- 5:25Speaker 1: jumps in the way and takes the spear for him,
- 5:28Speaker 1: dying a slave to the very last, a slave to love.
- 5:31Speaker 1: In this way, Mikasa is also actually tied into this
- 5:34Speaker 1: and into helping Amir find peace, which ends the power
- 5:38Speaker 1: of the Titans and its influence on the world. But anyway,
- 5:41Speaker 1: Erin begins to die due to the power of the Titans,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and he sits down there. He asks Mikassa to move
- 5:46Speaker 1: on with her life, and Mikasa, despite everything, holds back
- 5:50Speaker 1: her tears and tells him I'll see you later. Erin.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Now this leads us directly into the new timeline, the
- 5:55Speaker 1: manga timeline. Now. The reason why this is important is
- 5:58Speaker 1: how the manga starts out immediately out of the gate.
- 6:01Speaker 1: The manga and anime beginnings are different, and I'll explain
- 6:04Speaker 1: that later. In the manga, Erin wakes up from sleep
- 6:07Speaker 1: sitting in front of a tree where Mikassa wakes him up,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and you know what he sees. Looking through his eyes,
- 6:12Speaker 1: we see Mikasa and she tells him see you later, Erin.
- 6:16Speaker 1: This is what Erin hears as he wakes up. In
- 6:18Speaker 1: the manga, the first thing Erin asks is why Mikasa
- 6:21Speaker 1: grew out her hair. This is a direct reference to
- 6:23Speaker 1: the fact that she kept her hair short in a
- 6:25Speaker 1: bob during the time when the rumbling should have happened,
- 6:28Speaker 1: and while she lived with Erin at their house. From here,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the manga continues as it does in the main story.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The manga timeline specifically notes the change, with Erin remembering
- 6:37Speaker 1: Mikasa telling him that she would see him later. Not
- 6:39Speaker 1: to mention Mikasa herself knows at that point that she
- 6:42Speaker 1: will see him again. Now. Of course, one could chalk
- 6:45Speaker 1: that up to Eastern beliefs in reincarnation, but as we know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Isayama does nothing without a reason, and the fact that
- 6:52Speaker 1: this moment is referenced in the manga's start tells us
- 6:54Speaker 1: that Mikassa knows that she will see him again. We
- 6:57Speaker 1: also learned that Mikasa is the reason why these events happen.
- 7:00Speaker 1: We move into Lost Girls, Now Lost Girls is an
- 7:03Speaker 1: attack on Titan's story that started out as a novel
- 7:06Speaker 1: by Isayama and Hidoshiseko, but also received a manga adaptation
- 7:10Speaker 1: and an ova. In this story, we're shown three different stories.
- 7:14Speaker 1: One is about Annie Layonheart, which sadly is irrelevant to
- 7:17Speaker 1: this video, so I'll skip it, but it's still good
- 7:19Speaker 1: go read it, and one about Mikasa, which is the
- 7:22Speaker 1: one we'll focus on, and then a third about both
- 7:24Speaker 1: Annie and Mikasa talking about why they joined the military
- 7:27Speaker 1: in the first place. Now, in Mikasa's story, it starts
- 7:30Speaker 1: out of the time that Erin gets beaten by the
- 7:32Speaker 1: Bearded Titan. At this time, she thinks Erin is dead,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and so she seemingly travels to another dimension. The story
- 7:38Speaker 1: takes place in a world where the human traffickers who
- 7:40Speaker 1: had planned to take Mikasa are killed in the woods
- 7:42Speaker 1: and eaten by wild dogs, and the warriors never attack Shaganshina,
- 7:46Speaker 1: likely returning to Marley after Marcel is killed. Grisha and
- 7:49Speaker 1: Aaron visit the Ackerman family's home, where it's revealed that
- 7:52Speaker 1: his visits in the original timeline were because Mikasa's mother
- 7:55Speaker 1: is pregnant with her second child a baby boy, Mikassa
- 7:58Speaker 1: begins to develop feelings for Erin as he continues to visit.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's then that Erin explains his dreams of becoming a scout. Slowly,
- 8:05Speaker 1: as the visits become more frequent, Erin begins to appear
- 8:07Speaker 1: more beat up, and it's revealed that he is bullied
- 8:10Speaker 1: for his heretical views, much like Armin was. Eventually, when
- 8:13Speaker 1: Grisha leaves his hat behind, Mikasa's father sends her to
- 8:16Speaker 1: deliver it to him in Shaganshina. While there, she's told
- 8:19Speaker 1: by Erin that Armand's parents left behind an airplane, which
- 8:22Speaker 1: he and Armand plan to use to leave the walls
- 8:24Speaker 1: and discover what's on the other side. During this time,
- 8:27Speaker 1: she witnesses Erin angersome people with his beliefs and they
- 8:30Speaker 1: brutally beat him. It's after this that Aaron stops coming
- 8:33Speaker 1: to Mikasa's home due to the recovery process. Mikassa begins
- 8:36Speaker 1: to miss him, and Grisha states that her mother should
- 8:38Speaker 1: come to Shaganshina to make sure everything goes well. During
- 8:41Speaker 1: her delivery, Mikasa is happy to be able to play
- 8:43Speaker 1: with Erin again, but Karla tells her that he and
- 8:45Speaker 1: Armin are off doing stuff. Mikasa eventually feels that she
- 8:48Speaker 1: has forgotten what Erin looks like, and as she leaves,
- 8:50Speaker 1: she's stopped by a man who hopes to prove that
- 8:52Speaker 1: he can make even a little girl into a murderer.
- 8:55Speaker 1: To get past him to see Erin again, she proves
- 8:57Speaker 1: that she is willing to kill him, though it was
- 8:59Speaker 1: just a trick, and the man is unharmed. But things
- 9:01Speaker 1: don't turn out well when Arman shows up in a
- 9:03Speaker 1: panic and states that Erin took the plane out and
- 9:06Speaker 1: crashed it into the wall and was killed. It's then
- 9:08Speaker 1: that Mikausa reawakens surrounded by two titans as one punches
- 9:11Speaker 1: the other. As we're shown, these timelines are created whenever
- 9:15Speaker 1: Erin has to die and Mikasa can't save him. In fact,
- 9:18Speaker 1: when she wakes up from this, a voice in her
- 9:19Speaker 1: head even tells her that she can't stop Erin from dying,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and that leads us to the ending of the manga,
- 9:24Speaker 1: where Mikassa is forced to kill Erin with her own hands.
- 9:28Speaker 1: This seems to please Emir, who herself was a slave
- 9:30Speaker 1: to love and never had the courage to free herself.
- 9:33Speaker 1: They bury Erin's head under their favorite tree and leave
- 9:35Speaker 1: a small tombstone there to market. But in the end,
- 9:38Speaker 1: Mikasa still wishes to see Erin again, and this results
- 9:41Speaker 1: in what could possibly be a new timeline in the
- 9:44Speaker 1: Attack on Titan Anime. It all starts at the beginning again. However,
- 9:49Speaker 1: the beginning of the Attack on Titan Anime is vastly
- 9:51Speaker 1: different than the manga. Aaron sees a horrid future. He
- 9:55Speaker 1: doesn't see Mikasa as he had before. He doesn't ask
- 9:58Speaker 1: her about her hair or hear her say see later. No,
- 10:01Speaker 1: he sees titans roaming the walls, children's toys, and so
- 10:04Speaker 1: much death. His head is laying in the grass beside
- 10:07Speaker 1: that tree, and suddenly he wakes up crying, and Mikassa
- 10:10Speaker 1: asks him why he's crying, to which Erin doesn't know.
- 10:13Speaker 1: This signifies that Erin had just woke up from a
- 10:15Speaker 1: different timeline, one different from the peaceful death he experienced
- 10:19Speaker 1: in the manga. He wakes up from a terrifying, horrible nightmare.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And this is why people believe that Attack on Titans
- 10:25Speaker 1: Anime will have a different ending from the manga. Because
- 10:29Speaker 1: everyone believes that the manga's ending was actually the anime's ending.
- 10:33Speaker 1: This can further be guessed when one listens closely to
- 10:35Speaker 1: the lyrics of various songs such as Call of Silence
- 10:38Speaker 1: and Call Your Name. The song Call Your Name starts
- 10:41Speaker 1: out by speaking of a girl who is grieving from
- 10:43Speaker 1: the loss of her brother. Now, of course, this normally
- 10:46Speaker 1: wouldn't make sense for Mikasa, but if we realize that
- 10:48Speaker 1: her mother might have been pregnant when she was killed,
- 10:51Speaker 1: it does make a bit more sense, doesn't it though.
- 10:53Speaker 1: The part where it says his picture on the wall
- 10:55Speaker 1: reminds me, But it goes on to talk about how
- 10:57Speaker 1: she brings him coffee with a smile, but disaster robbed
- 11:01Speaker 1: him of his dreams. He's crying, missing his lover, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: he doesn't have the power on his side forever. The
- 11:06Speaker 1: song then changes to Mikasa's view, where she confesses her
- 11:09Speaker 1: love to him and they build a new house, a
- 11:11Speaker 1: place where they can be at peace. Sound familiar now,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but that's not it. The song then references the rumbling,
- 11:18Speaker 1: with the next new set of lyrics coming up. We
- 11:20Speaker 1: don't know what is wrong tonight. Everybody's got no place
- 11:23Speaker 1: to hide, No one's left and there's one to go on.
- 11:27Speaker 1: All I know is my life is gone. The song
- 11:29Speaker 1: references both the original timeline and the manga, Or does it?
- 11:34Speaker 1: It almost makes it sound like the rumbling succeeded. After all,
- 11:37Speaker 1: there was no place to hide, and now there's no
- 11:39Speaker 1: one left to go on. The next song references Erin
- 11:42Speaker 1: when it says, don't you think of me enough? I've
- 11:44Speaker 1: been burning my heart out. Got to face me to
- 11:47Speaker 1: tell you that I will run because I'm reticent. Erin
- 11:50Speaker 1: is always moving forward, but it makes sense that he
- 11:53Speaker 1: would run because he is reticent. The Oxford Dictionary defines
- 11:57Speaker 1: reticent as not revealing one's thoughts or feeling things readily.
- 12:01Speaker 1: This is about Erin, who had to hide his true
- 12:03Speaker 1: feelings and push his friends away. Now why does this
- 12:06Speaker 1: mean that the anime might be different than the manga. Well,
- 12:09Speaker 1: the next lyrics reference this, you will know you are
- 12:12Speaker 1: reborn tonight. It must be rough, but I'll stay by
- 12:15Speaker 1: your side even if my bodies beat to the bones.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't want to go through that ever. Again, this
- 12:21Speaker 1: references that Erin and Mikassa are caught in his constant loop,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and that Erin continues to die, but Mikasa won't let
- 12:27Speaker 1: him go, but then everything remains the same for the
- 12:31Speaker 1: most part. So how will things change? Well, I don't know.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Most theories pause it that Erin will inevitably be the
- 12:37Speaker 1: father of Astoria's baby. The true father of her baby
- 12:40Speaker 1: was never seen, and we were merely told who it
- 12:42Speaker 1: might be by someone else. I've heard many say that
- 12:45Speaker 1: Erin will possibly complete the Rumbling and actually kill everyone
- 12:48Speaker 1: on Earth. I would love to see a happy ending
- 12:51Speaker 1: for the series through this, but I don't know if
- 12:53Speaker 1: it will result in that. While it is entirely possible
- 12:56Speaker 1: that the ending will change, it is so deep into
- 12:59Speaker 1: it that it becomes hard to bet how it might
- 13:01Speaker 1: change or if it will at all. And as a
- 13:03Speaker 1: counter to this, it is possible that the next dimension
- 13:06Speaker 1: or the rebirth hinted that is possibly another storyline added in.
- 13:10Speaker 1: There is a story known as Attack on School Casts.
- 13:13Speaker 1: In this story, Armen, Mikasa, and Aaron are just regular
- 13:16Speaker 1: high school students. Despite this, everyone maintains their personalities, even
- 13:20Speaker 1: with Arin mentioning how boring life is or how he
- 13:23Speaker 1: would love for a cataclysm to occur that will ultimately
- 13:26Speaker 1: endanger all of humanity. Even if he has to start
- 13:28Speaker 1: it himself. In this world, Imer Fritz remains venerated as
- 13:31Speaker 1: a godlike being, and in the end shows Aaron, Armand
- 13:34Speaker 1: and Mikasa leaving the movie theater where they had just
- 13:37Speaker 1: watched the Attack on Titan series events in the form
- 13:39Speaker 1: of a movie. It's been revealed that even in this timeline,
- 13:42Speaker 1: Titans existed, but only in the past one hundred years
- 13:45Speaker 1: and were wiped out well before the start of the story.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Aaron simply wants to see a sequel to the story,
- 13:49Speaker 1: with Arman fawning over the mysteries that hadn't been explained yet.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It's funny because this almost tags that there could be
- 13:55Speaker 1: a sequel to Attack on Titan in Isayama's head, and
- 13:58Speaker 1: that makes sense because he did leave the ending open ironically,
- 14:02Speaker 1: where Erin's head was buried under that tree, and in
- 14:04Speaker 1: the manga's timeline, the world goes back to war again,
- 14:07Speaker 1: with Paradise being completely shattered by the war and the
- 14:10Speaker 1: tree that Erin's head was buried under transforming into a
- 14:14Speaker 1: massive tree similar to where Emir found the hallucigenia that
- 14:17Speaker 1: granted her the power of the Titans, hinting that the
- 14:19Speaker 1: young child and I don't know. Maybe his dog too
- 14:22Speaker 1: will become the next founding Titan and return the world
- 14:25Speaker 1: back to the age of Erin's genocide. So to be honest,
- 14:28Speaker 1: we have no clue what the ending of Attack on
- 14:30Speaker 1: Titan will be, but one thing is certain, whatever it
- 14:33Speaker 1: is will be fire, and I certainly hope we eventually
- 14:36Speaker 1: get a sequel, though I fear nothing can top the original. Anyway,
- 14:40Speaker 1: what do you think do you think the ending will
- 14:42Speaker 1: change and if it does, what will happen? Personally, I
- 14:46Speaker 1: feel like if the ending does change, it will be
- 14:49Speaker 1: that Erin will completely wipe out all of humanity and
- 14:52Speaker 1: rule Paradise as a king, just as the song Rumbling
- 14:55Speaker 1: says he doesn't want to do. I'll bet that a
- 14:57Speaker 1: story is Baby is Errans because the timing is just
- 15:00Speaker 1: too perfect and works out for Aaron's goals one hundred percent.
- 15:03Speaker 1: It's also possible that the baby will also get the
- 15:05Speaker 1: Beast Titan, as we know that the Titans who don't
- 15:07Speaker 1: possess their powers before death will have their Titan given
- 15:10Speaker 1: to a new child that has yet to be born,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and the moment that Zeke dies, a new baby pops
- 15:15Speaker 1: out of his historia. Another idea is that Aaron won't
- 15:18Speaker 1: kill everyone and will only hit certain targets and use
- 15:20Speaker 1: the founder as a deterrent, as was the original plan.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But what do you think? Tell us below, help us
- 15:26Speaker 1: know you're interested in seeing more videos like this and
- 15:29Speaker 1: when we release said videos, be sure that you have
- 15:31Speaker 1: rung the bell to be notified when we drop them.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Peace out,
