- 0:01Speaker 1: They will not give up the straits of a mouse
- 0:04Speaker 1: unless we take it back by force. No amount of
- 0:07Speaker 1: economic pressure on them, I think will bend them to
- 0:10Speaker 1: do that. They're going to get more violent because as
- 0:13Speaker 1: we get closer to the midterms, they want to create
- 0:15Speaker 1: a volatile situation that demonstrates that the administration is not
- 0:20Speaker 1: managing the war properly, so that that will impact them
- 0:24Speaker 1: in the midterm elections.
- 0:25Speaker 2: All right, General Jack Keen last hour talking to us
- 0:28Speaker 2: about a strategic pivot in the conflict with Iran. President
- 0:31Speaker 2: Trump now shifting to a more economic pressure message, making
- 0:36Speaker 2: the regime feel the pain where it really hurts. The
- 0:38Speaker 2: Commander in chief telling Axios the US is quote low
- 0:42Speaker 2: keying it, Rebecca Heinrix Hudson, is it his senior fellow, Rebecca,
- 0:46Speaker 2: good day to you. I know you saw the interview.
- 0:48Speaker 2: In the comments. What do you make of them right now?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Well, I think that when President Trump says that he's
- 0:54Speaker 3: low keying it, we should not interpret that to mean that,
- 0:57Speaker 3: because we're going to be focusing on the econom pressure
- 1:00Speaker 3: against Iran, that the military option is no longer either
- 1:04Speaker 3: available or something that the President is actually considering. To me,
- 1:08Speaker 3: what this means is. Remember the last time we really
- 1:11Speaker 3: thought that President Trump was reconsidering a large scale military
- 1:15Speaker 3: operation against Iran. Again, that message was leaked and then
- 1:19Speaker 3: the Golf States, especially the Saudis and the Qataris, pressured
- 1:22Speaker 3: President Trump to stand down and try to negotiate again.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I think now, if the President does decide to reinitiate
- 1:28Speaker 3: military activity, it's going to be quiet, Bill, and we
- 1:31Speaker 3: are not going to hear any indication of that. It's
- 1:34Speaker 3: going to be a surprise attack. So right now we're
- 1:36Speaker 3: going to be focusing on squeezing the Iran regime while
- 1:39Speaker 3: quietly getting oil through the Oman cord or in the
- 1:43Speaker 3: straight upartment.
- 1:44Speaker 2: A couple things here, go ahead and play. Here's the
- 1:45Speaker 2: Vice President JD Vance talking about that strategy. Go ahead,
- 1:49Speaker 2: here's Jadvans from Saturday with Kaylee.
- 1:52Speaker 3: We're just going to keep on applying the pressure that
- 1:54Speaker 3: we can apply and getting as much oil and gas
- 1:57Speaker 3: out of the Middle East so that Americans can enjoy
- 1:59Speaker 3: lower gas, aid and energy prices.
- 2:01Speaker 1: So that's the delicate dance. Okay.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So that's shady Vance. And when we ask the American
- 2:06Speaker 2: people a couple of weeks ago your support military action
- 2:09Speaker 2: against Iran, we found about fifty six percent oppose, forty
- 2:12Speaker 2: three percent support. We West Texas crew now is eighty
- 2:16Speaker 2: bucks that have been around seventy five dollars a barrow.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Go ahead and show the pole guys forty three percent
- 2:22Speaker 2: support according to our polling back in mid July. Rebecca,
- 2:27Speaker 2: if oil is like mid seventies, is that acceptable for
- 2:31Speaker 2: the time being?
- 2:33Speaker 3: I think it is for the time being. And if
- 2:34Speaker 3: you if you notice, I mean I keep checking in
- 2:37Speaker 3: to see how much oil is actually getting through the strait,
- 2:39Speaker 3: And according to my sources, there's still about eight billion
- 2:44Speaker 3: barrels getting through a night through the Strait of Hormuz,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and that's because of the United States. Is Navy still
- 2:49Speaker 3: guiding those ships, So having US military forces there is
- 2:52Speaker 3: essentral And then we're also getting oil over through the
- 2:55Speaker 3: land routes about five billion barrels. We're still about thirteen
- 2:58Speaker 3: billion barrels, which is far short of the twenty billion
- 3:02Speaker 3: barrels a day pre war. But that's enough for Americans
- 3:06Speaker 3: to feel pretty comfortable. But again, Bill, if you look
- 3:10Speaker 3: at Trump, President Trump's support for the war among his base,
- 3:14Speaker 3: it was highest when the United States was actually on
- 3:17Speaker 3: the front foot and was making great gains militarily alongside
- 3:21Speaker 3: the Israelis. Where support for it began to plummet was
- 3:24Speaker 3: when you saw this ceasefire negotiations and the Iranians seeming
- 3:29Speaker 3: to feel very confident and very audacious making demands on
- 3:33Speaker 3: the United States. And that's where Americans, I think, are
- 3:35Speaker 3: feeling pretty uncomfortable.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Okay, you have to build pipelines faster, get elon there,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and get Musk over there with a boring company and
- 3:42Speaker 2: get into that Sam Benjaminett and Yahoo. He rejected this
- 3:46Speaker 2: fifteen point piece plan. Play the sound by quick answer
- 3:49Speaker 2: on the other side of this watch.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Israel doesign accept the fifteen point document. The idea will
- 3:55Speaker 4: not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is disarmed. And
- 3:57Speaker 4: when I say the disarmy of Hamas, it means heavy weaponry,
- 4:00Speaker 4: later weaponry, all weaponry. And we are talking about genuine disarmament,
- 4:04Speaker 4: not fictitious disarmament.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Okay, the Israelis have a point of view on this,
- 4:08Speaker 2: all right. That means the Gaza situation is not solved.
- 4:11Speaker 2: How complicated could that be?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Well, Look, the Israelis are right, and this is not
- 4:15Speaker 3: specific to Benjamin Netanyahu. There is no support in Israel
- 4:18Speaker 3: at all to permit anything like October seventh to happen again,
- 4:21Speaker 3: and that means Hamas has to be completely removed. They're
- 4:24Speaker 3: not going to do this sequentially. The problem in Gaza
- 4:28Speaker 3: is the radicalization of Hamas, and unless there's deradicalization in
- 4:32Speaker 3: the entire removal of these tunnels and Hamas, Israel is
- 4:35Speaker 3: simply not going to leave the region.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Rebecca, thanks for coming back. We'll talk in a few days, Okay,
