- 0:03Speaker 1: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion
- 0:06Speaker 1: Picture Association of America. It is intended for mature audiences
- 0:11Speaker 1: and parental discretion is advised. Our nuclear reactor pumping out
- 0:16Speaker 1: one million kilowatts of power.
- 0:59Speaker 2: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I am Brian
- 1:02Speaker 2: and with me once again this week for another Missing
- 1:05Speaker 2: Link adventure is Rick.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah, the samurai. I don't even know. I don't think
- 1:09Speaker 3: samurai even make that noise.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I don't think so. I'm not sure what that was.
- 1:14Speaker 3: That was a Bigfoot mating call.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Oh, you better watch it. Yes. I hear they like
- 1:19Speaker 2: to do that based on today's movie. We'll get to
- 1:21Speaker 2: that in a little bit.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yes, we will.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So, just to sort of follow our usual rundown, we
- 1:29Speaker 2: usually kick it off with the geek activities of what
- 1:32Speaker 2: we've been doing this past week. So, this week, pretty
- 1:36Speaker 2: much all I've been doing is moving. Exhausting moving. Moving.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 1:42Speaker 2: That's pretty much all I've done. It's kind of scary.
- 1:45Speaker 3: That just sucks.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. To tie it into the show, Misty, trooper
- 1:50Speaker 2: that she is, did help me haul a good portion
- 1:52Speaker 2: of my furniture into the new place.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Nice, nice.
- 1:55Speaker 2: She's a trooper, man. She can haul stuff like you
- 1:59Speaker 2: wouldn't believe. She is quite the heavy lifter, if need be,
- 2:04Speaker 2: under the right circumstances.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I finally got to meet her this last Horror Hound,
- 2:07Speaker 3: so that was pretty neat.
- 2:09Speaker 2: She's quite entertaining, isn't she?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Yes, she is.
- 2:13Speaker 2: The only other thing I thought was kind of funny
- 2:15Speaker 2: was as I'm bringing all my weird stuff into the
- 2:19Speaker 2: new place, I'm thinking as I'm hauling it in, I'm
- 2:23Speaker 2: assuming there's neighbors around. I'm wondering if they're looking out
- 2:26Speaker 2: the window and seeing what I'm hauling in. Because I'm
- 2:28Speaker 2: bringing in the weirdest assortment of stuff. I'm like, what
- 2:34Speaker 2: is it they must think of this odd collection of
- 2:36Speaker 2: things I'm hauling into this place? They look out the
- 2:40Speaker 2: window and I'm hauling full-size theater seats in.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Mannequins?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah, there was a human torso and then there was
- 2:50Speaker 2: a film reel with a bull rip wrapped around it
- 2:52Speaker 2: several times. That was my favorite. I think those two
- 2:55Speaker 2: were together. As they look out and see this conglomeration
- 3:01Speaker 2: of weird shit, I'm just like, what they must think
- 3:04Speaker 2: of me.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yes, there's probably a lot of neighborhood chatter going on
- 3:08Speaker 3: right now. See the new guy?
- 3:09Speaker 2: What the hell's wrong with that guy?
- 3:15Speaker 3: So that's pretty much all you've been up to?
- 3:17Speaker 2: That's pretty much it. Yeah, I haven't really stopped much else.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I think I've occasionally turned things on and then just
- 3:24Speaker 2: collapsed and fallen asleep. So I don't think I've watched
- 3:28Speaker 2: anything other than our wonderful movie this week.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, more on that later.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah but other than that i've i'm piecing
- 3:37Speaker 2: it together now the tv is here so the the
- 3:40Speaker 2: sofa theater as it were is not quite together yet
- 3:43Speaker 2: nor will it ever fully be the way i'm going
- 3:45Speaker 2: at this rate but eventually hopefully somewhere down the line
- 3:48Speaker 2: but at least probably functional to be able to watch
- 3:51Speaker 2: something in the next week or so but um yeah
- 3:54Speaker 2: just transporting geeky collectibles that's pretty much all i've done.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's understandable. Pretty much on my side, the only
- 4:02Speaker 3: thing I can really mention is that, because I don't
- 4:04Speaker 3: really want to mention the movies I've watched.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to steal anything away from Will.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I don't want to steal the thunder from the GGTMC there,
- 4:10Speaker 3: but I will say that I have been, I'm completely
- 4:14Speaker 3: caught up on Spartacus, Blood and Sand, the TV show.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I've heard good things.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Well, the thing is, if you ever sit down and
- 4:21Speaker 3: watch this, And it's on Netflix instant, by the way.
- 4:24Speaker 3: So the whole series is on that. I think it's
- 4:25Speaker 3: up to 11 episodes right now. I think it's 12
- 4:27Speaker 3: episodes for the whole season. So I think next week
- 4:29Speaker 3: or this week will be the season finale, quote unquote.
- 4:33Speaker 3: But the first two episodes I watched, I was like,
- 4:36Speaker 3: this is the most homoerotic and stupid TV show I've
- 4:39Speaker 3: ever seen before in my life. I was laughing at
- 4:41Speaker 3: it more than I was getting into it. But then
- 4:43Speaker 3: something happened in episode three, which I can't talk about here.
- 4:46Speaker 3: But something happened and it totally hooked me, man. And
- 4:49Speaker 3: now I'm like totally hooked on this show. That is
- 4:52Speaker 3: just absolutely ridiculous. It's the most hyper-violent, gory, sexual show
- 4:58Speaker 3: you've ever seen. I mean, everybody's running around saying, Jupiter's cock!
- 5:02Speaker 2: See, that's what I've heard. I've heard it's one of those, like,
- 5:05Speaker 2: you've got to ride it out a little. You'll think
- 5:06Speaker 2: the first episode's terrible, but give it a little time. Yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 2: that's pretty much what I've heard about it.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You'll think the first two episodes are terrible, because they
- 5:14Speaker 3: really are. And it takes off on the 300 motif
- 5:18Speaker 3: a little bit. It's very computer graphic and oriented. The
- 5:21Speaker 3: violence is very much CGI blood and stuff, so you've
- 5:24Speaker 3: got to get past that. But really, come Episode 3,
- 5:28Speaker 3: when he really starts his gladiator training, that's when things
- 5:31Speaker 3: really change. The first two episodes are set up, and
- 5:33Speaker 3: they're not really very good at all.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But Episode 3... I'd heard of it a while back,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I think way before most people had, because it was...
- 5:44Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure at least some of the people, when
- 5:47Speaker 2: I did the interview with the people from Bitch Slap,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and I think it's a lot of that same crew
- 5:53Speaker 2: that ended up going on to do this show. I'm
- 5:55Speaker 2: pretty sure Aaron Cummings has some sort of part in it,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and then it might be the directors the same, or
- 6:00Speaker 2: he's producing it, or something like that, but I know
- 6:03Speaker 2: it's part of that same crew that put that together,
- 6:05Speaker 2: and that's kind of what makes me want to watch it,
- 6:07Speaker 2: because that seems like a fun group of people.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a fun show, and I got caught up
- 6:12Speaker 3: on it tonight, and I'm I can't wait for the
- 6:15Speaker 3: last episode and check that out. So that's pretty much, really,
- 6:18Speaker 3: that's pretty much all I've been doing is just watching
- 6:21Speaker 3: that and back in school. So I guess that is
- 6:23Speaker 3: quote-unquote a geek activity. That's more of a nerd activity. Yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 3: it's more of a shitty activity.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Well, that goes without saying.
- 6:31Speaker 3: And then, of course, the other weekend before I was
- 6:33Speaker 3: at Horror Hound and got to hang out with you
- 6:35Speaker 3: again for a little bit and all the good friends
- 6:37Speaker 3: we have. So that was pretty nice.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah once again i i think i decided it was
- 6:41Speaker 2: kind of sad that i think i've hung out with
- 6:43Speaker 2: you more outside of our general area than i have
- 6:47Speaker 2: where we live if.
- 6:49Speaker 3: If you're in kentucky we're not going to hang out
- 6:51Speaker 3: with each other but if you're in indiana or ohio
- 6:53Speaker 3: there's a good chance we're going to.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Be hanging out uh that's very strange our relationship yes
- 6:59Speaker 2: it is very odd oh man but yeah if that
- 7:03Speaker 2: if that rounds out the geek week um I guess
- 7:06Speaker 2: we will take a quick break and be back with
- 7:08Speaker 2: the movie of the week here.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Sounds good.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We will be right back.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Let's all go.
- 7:15Speaker 4: To the lobby. Let's all go to the lobby.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Let's all go to.
- 7:21Speaker 5: The lobby to get ourselves a treat.
- 7:25Speaker 6: GGTNC live for you fresh air.

- 7:49Speaker 3: The Gentleman's Guide to Midnight Cinema, bringing class to the
- 7:53Speaker 3: trash since 1977.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Hi, this is Erin Cummings, and I play Hell from
- 8:09Speaker 6: the movie Bitch Flop.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 8:13Speaker 8: Oh my God.
- 8:20Speaker 9: Gerald said when he first laid eyes on the hatchet-throwing
- 8:23Speaker 9: sasswatch who lived next door. Oh my God, Freaky said
- 8:26Speaker 9: the second time when he saw a custom bear growing
- 8:28Speaker 9: out from his spine. The hatchet-throwing sasswatch turned and peered
- 8:31Speaker 9: with a look that wild animals knew and feared.
- 8:35Speaker 10: And they feared they had.
- 8:36Speaker 2: To throw a Sasquatch. All right, we are back.
- 8:38Speaker 10: It's time for Tales from the 50s. This week, the
- 8:47Speaker 10: Bigfoot Files.
- 8:50Speaker 8: Ooh.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So this week's Bigfoot Files feature is Sasquatch, or the Untold,
- 8:58Speaker 2: depending on what you go by. We can go into
- 9:00Speaker 2: that in a minute, too.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 2: The year is 2002. Director Jonas Quastel. Yeah, I guess.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I guess Quastel. I don't know. Quaker? Quastel?
- 9:11Speaker 2: I don't know what to think of this guy. I
- 9:14Speaker 2: guess the closest thing to a plot I could come
- 9:16Speaker 2: up with off IMDb, it said, based on actual events,
- 9:21Speaker 2: and I'm using air quotes right now, the... The Untold
- 9:24Speaker 2: is the story of Harlan Knowles, a billionaire and president
- 9:27Speaker 2: of Biocomp Industries, who heads up a team of experts
- 9:30Speaker 2: in a quest to locate a company plane that disappeared
- 9:33Speaker 2: over the remote forest of the Pacific Northwest. Knowles is
- 9:36Speaker 2: obsessed with finding the plane and rescuing his daughter, who
- 9:39Speaker 2: is one of the passengers. We'll leave it at that.
- 9:42Speaker 10: Yes.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I guess we'll throw out the big spoiler alert, because
- 9:46Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure we're going to beat the hell out
- 9:48Speaker 2: of this movie.
- 9:49Speaker 8: Yes.
- 9:50Speaker 2: If you don't want to know any more about the
- 9:52Speaker 2: wonders of Sasquatch or the Untold, then, yeah, you better
- 9:55Speaker 2: just take it under advisement.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Yeah, if you don't want to be told the Untold.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I'm still not sure what the untold is.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I don't really know either. They didn't tell us. That's
- 10:05Speaker 3: the problem. That's probably why they call it the untold.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah, even they're still trying to figure it out.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 10:12Speaker 2: So this, I guess, just to get into the title confusion,
- 10:16Speaker 2: this was originally known as the untold. But upon its release,
- 10:19Speaker 2: it was switched to Sasquatch, which I'm assuming someone at
- 10:24Speaker 2: the studio or someone on the business end of the
- 10:27Speaker 2: deal did, because there's a commentary track on the DVD
- 10:30Speaker 2: I have. Did you listen to this?
- 10:32Speaker 3: No, I did not. Oh, God.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Basically, the director and the executive producer and a couple
- 10:39Speaker 2: of the actors are sitting down to watch it, and
- 10:40Speaker 2: it's like the first time they've seen the cut, basically.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And when the title screen comes up, they all kind
- 10:45Speaker 2: of freak out. They're like, Sasquatch? What is that? Is
- 10:49Speaker 2: that what they're calling us now? Wow. And they continue
- 10:53Speaker 2: throughout the movie to kind of complain and make snide
- 10:55Speaker 2: comments about it because they'll come up and it's like
- 10:58Speaker 2: the first scene where whatever it is is circling them
- 11:01Speaker 2: and here's our first interaction with well I guess you
- 11:04Speaker 2: know it's a Sasquatch now since that's the name of
- 11:06Speaker 2: the movie.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Well that all makes sense now when we talk about
- 11:11Speaker 3: it further. Actually that's probably the best detail that I've
- 11:15Speaker 3: heard about this film that I didn't know.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, there's a few other moments that that kind
- 11:20Speaker 2: of comes into play. But, yeah, I thought as to
- 11:24Speaker 2: the confusion, because, yeah, if you look it up on IMDb,
- 11:26Speaker 2: it's not even Sasquatch. It comes up as the Untold,
- 11:30Speaker 2: and then somewhere there's an AKA. But, I mean, yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 2: at first time I was, like, not even sure where
- 11:34Speaker 2: it was at. So that will, yeah, if somebody's looking
- 11:37Speaker 2: for this, I'm not sure why maybe, but if you're
- 11:40Speaker 2: looking for this, it's not even listed as Sasquatch first
- 11:44Speaker 2: in the IMDb.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah, because when we were having lunch at the Horror
- 11:48Speaker 3: Hound weekend there in Indy, you were talking about this
- 11:51Speaker 3: Lance Hendrickson Sasquatch movie. And I was like, oh, okay, well,
- 11:55Speaker 3: that's Sasquatch Mountain, I think.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, which is another Lance Hendrickson of about three or
- 12:01Speaker 2: four Lance Hendrickson Sasquatch movies.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yeah, so I was like, okay, yeah, I know of
- 12:06Speaker 3: Sasquatch Mountain. I've never seen it, but I know of it.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, I'm down with that. And you're like,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I don't think it's Sasquatch Mountain, though. And I'm like, okay,
- 12:13Speaker 3: so I pulled up the IMDb on the iPhone while
- 12:15Speaker 3: we were sitting there, and then I saw that it
- 12:18Speaker 3: was called The Untold, and we were kind of laughing
- 12:20Speaker 3: about it and joking around. But now all that kind
- 12:23Speaker 3: of story is kind of making sense now, so it's
- 12:25Speaker 3: kind of weird. I didn't know any of that.
- 12:27Speaker 2: It is funny that, you know, they're watching their own
- 12:30Speaker 2: movie and they're finding things. There were several times when
- 12:33Speaker 2: they were just like, where did this shot come from?
- 12:35Speaker 2: So I guess, well, yeah, go into why some of
- 12:40Speaker 2: the issues came about.
- 12:42Speaker 4: So what is this... Cryptozoology? Cryptozoology. It's the science of
- 12:47Speaker 4: unverified exotic animal life. You're serious about this? Look, new
- 12:51Speaker 4: animal species are being discovered every day.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Most of the time it's like.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Some new kind of beetle or an albino earthworm, but
- 12:58Speaker 4: every once in a while they come across something big.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, kid. Hey, Chief. You've been living out here
- 13:09Speaker 2: your entire life. You ever seen any Oogie boogie big
- 13:13Speaker 2: and hairy creatures out here.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I mean, besides the local women. Do you know how
- 13:17Speaker 4: many names there are for Bigfoot around the world? Let
- 13:20Speaker 4: me see.
- 13:20Speaker 5: In China, it's either Alma or Yarin. In Tibet, it's
- 13:23Speaker 5: Yeti or Abominable Snowman. In Australia, it's Yowie.
- 13:27Speaker 4: In Brazil, Mapinguari, Skunk Ape in Florida.
- 13:30Speaker 5: I got names in Vietnam and Sumatra I can't even pronounce.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Same with Russia, India, but more than anywhere, right here
- 13:40Speaker 5: in the Pacific Northwest, it's known as the Sasquatch.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Okay. Other than that, I guess, where do you want
- 13:45Speaker 2: to begin on this thing?
- 13:47Speaker 3: Well, the first thing you've got to say to yourself is,
- 13:48Speaker 3: when you look at the movie, is this stars Lance Hendrickson,
- 13:52Speaker 3: and who else?
- 13:55Speaker 2: Lance Hendrickson? According to the box, Andrea Roth, but yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Who the hell's that? I don't really know her from anything.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I know Erica Durrance is in it. She's on Smallville,
- 14:05Speaker 3: but she just plays the daughter of.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 14:07Speaker 3: It kind of does the Blair Witch moment.
- 14:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:10Speaker 3: And now I'm looking at Andrea Roth to see if
- 14:12Speaker 3: I see her in anything else.
- 14:13Speaker 2: She's been in a lot of other stuff. I did
- 14:15Speaker 2: bring her up and not really stuff that I've paid
- 14:18Speaker 2: any attention to her in, but she's got a good
- 14:19Speaker 2: amount of credits. I guess she is the next name
- 14:22Speaker 2: that you would go to to slap on the box. Yep.
- 14:25Speaker 3: She was in 15 episodes of the RoboCop show.
- 14:28Speaker 2: There you go. She's got her geek cred right there.
- 14:30Speaker 3: That is geek cred. She was on an episode of
- 14:33Speaker 3: Friday the 13th, an episode of The Hitchhiker. Ah, see?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Classy stuff here.
- 14:37Speaker 3: She's done some work. Anyway, yeah, so Lance Henriksen and
- 14:42Speaker 3: really who else? There's really nobody else in the film.
- 14:44Speaker 3: That's pretty much it.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And that comes to one of my main issues with
- 14:50Speaker 2: the movie, I guess, is several. I mean, you're basically
- 14:53Speaker 2: stuck with this group of six people, I think it is.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah, about six. Five or six?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah, six.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You're right.
- 15:00Speaker 5: And.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, at least two of them are the most annoying
- 15:04Speaker 2: people you could ever be stuck with.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Oh, God. Winston Berg.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah, the other two guys. Yeah, Winston Berg, the big hunter,
- 15:13Speaker 2: and even the tracker, who at the beginning comes off
- 15:16Speaker 2: all right. I think, well, this guy will be tolerable.
- 15:18Speaker 2: As it goes on, he's really annoying, too. So those two,
- 15:22Speaker 2: especially together out in the woods with them, it becomes
- 15:26Speaker 2: very grating as the movie goes on.
- 15:28Speaker 3: You're right, because the tracker guy... He comes off in
- 15:32Speaker 3: the very beginning as this kind of likable wilderness guide,
- 15:36Speaker 3: adventure type fella who can do anything. Yeah. And you're
- 15:40Speaker 3: really getting behind him. But then as the movie goes along,
- 15:42Speaker 3: you start to get irritated with him. His acting gets bad.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Winston Berg, actor Philip Granger, his acting is just bad
- 15:49Speaker 3: from the get-go.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yes, it is. And that hair. What the hell was
- 15:52Speaker 2: up with that flippy hair?
- 15:55Speaker 3: And how much whiskey did he have in that flask?
- 15:58Speaker 2: It is funny because they brought that up in the commentary.
- 16:00Speaker 2: They kept going, the never-ending flask.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yes, itty-bitty little flask, and yet he drinks it for
- 16:05Speaker 3: 90 minutes.
- 16:07Speaker 2: The entire, how many days they were out there anyway.
- 16:10Speaker 3: He gets tanked on very, well, I mean, obviously it
- 16:12Speaker 3: was a lot. I also thought it was funny that
- 16:14Speaker 3: the first thing that came up was that this is
- 16:16Speaker 3: a wilderness production. I thought that was kind of funny.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I was like, oh, yeah, well, if you're going to
- 16:20Speaker 3: make a Sasquatch movie or a movie in the woods,
- 16:21Speaker 3: you might as well name your company Wilderness. Call it
- 16:24Speaker 3: a wilderness production.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I don't know if they got much further after this one.
- 16:28Speaker 3: You get some edgy found footage type stuff at the beginning. Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Again, to me, the intro is very choppy. It's slapped
- 16:40Speaker 2: together in a couple of scenes. And I know they're
- 16:43Speaker 2: trying to, I guess, go with that you don't know
- 16:45Speaker 2: what's going on and then maybe they'll piece it together
- 16:47Speaker 2: down the line. But really, it's just slapped together. I
- 16:51Speaker 2: don't know exactly what they were thinking. In that whole
- 16:54Speaker 2: little sequence with the daughter, it's like, you barely get
- 16:57Speaker 2: an idea of what happened really. So I don't know.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It seemed like they needed to expand on that at
- 17:02Speaker 2: least a little bit.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Yeah. You know, I'll be honest with you, man. I'm,
- 17:06Speaker 3: I'm pretty much done with the found footage thing.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It's, it's, yeah, it's kind of reached the mark here.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I don't know that we need any more at this point.
- 17:16Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And you know, there's only so many people that can
- 17:18Speaker 3: do it well and I'm just, I'm done with it.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I'm just, And this is 2002, so I can't really
- 17:24Speaker 3: mock them like they just ripped off Paranormal Activity or
- 17:27Speaker 3: they knocked off something recent. I'm just talking about... In general. Yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 3: that video camera shot stuff.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's too much. I guess at this point it wasn't.
- 17:38Speaker 2: It was still kind of new. Blair Witch wasn't that
- 17:41Speaker 2: old at this point. So they were obviously ripping it off,
- 17:44Speaker 2: kind of.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Oh, they were definitely ripping off Blair Witch.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Especially with the shot toward the end. It's like, wow, really?
- 17:53Speaker 2: Well, while we're going into movies that are ripping off,
- 17:55Speaker 2: do we want to talk about why does Bigfoot have
- 17:58Speaker 2: predator vision?
- 18:00Speaker 3: My next note was actually Sasquatch vision?
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I was like, did he fall from space? What
- 18:06Speaker 2: the hell happened?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah, how can he see anything? All he sees is
- 18:09Speaker 3: bright orange people with purple backgrounds.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Well, I always thought the Predator kind of had, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 2: for his fancy machinery, it wasn't the best, really. I
- 18:18Speaker 2: was like, couldn't you make a little better version of
- 18:20Speaker 2: that where you could actually, I mean, I get the
- 18:21Speaker 2: heat sensitive version, but still, isn't there like another setting
- 18:24Speaker 2: where you could see what the hell's going on? Yeah.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I mean, well, the predator vision, at least I could
- 18:28Speaker 3: see what was going on. This one was just ridiculous.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I just, it was just like bright orange masses on
- 18:34Speaker 3: purple backgrounds. It was really cheap looking. It's terrible.
- 18:37Speaker 2: It was, yeah, it was all like any of those
- 18:39Speaker 2: shots were like a hundred percent done in computer. I
- 18:41Speaker 2: don't even think they, adjusted the film footage. If you
- 18:44Speaker 2: watch it as they go on, I think even the
- 18:47Speaker 2: trees and stuff around it, I think it's all just
- 18:50Speaker 2: bad computer animation, really.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're supposed to see warm stuff, and I
- 18:54Speaker 3: don't know a whole lot about that type of vision,
- 18:55Speaker 3: but at one point, one character gets into a hot spring,
- 18:59Speaker 3: and I would think that a lot of that area
- 19:01Speaker 3: would be kind of orange.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Glowing, yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe one of your listeners
- 19:06Speaker 3: knows more about infrared vision than I do. Or Sasquatch vision?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Or at least he should have been a different color
- 19:13Speaker 2: and sort of disappeared into it. There should have been something. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 2: I think the science was a little off on their
- 19:18Speaker 2: vision as well.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Oh, the science was a lot off in this movie, buddy.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Well, it is cryptozoology, so the science is questionable anyway.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Cryptozoology. The camaraderie between the group is pretty bad. That's
- 19:31Speaker 3: one of the biggest problems right there. We were talking
- 19:32Speaker 3: about the casting. Hendrickson, you can totally tell he's getting
- 19:37Speaker 3: a paycheck here.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 3: And this is Puffy Lance. This is older Lance. And
- 19:41Speaker 3: he's kind of got a little bit of weight on
- 19:42Speaker 3: his face. And he's really just kind of dialing it in.
- 19:46Speaker 3: There's nothing. You know, I'll be honest with you. I
- 19:50Speaker 3: really just don't like Lance Erickson that much when he
- 19:52Speaker 3: plays a good guy.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's harder for him. But I don't know. There
- 19:56Speaker 2: were scenes where it's sad because I guess it's just
- 19:59Speaker 2: comparing him to the rest of the cast because the
- 20:02Speaker 2: scene with him in the plane where he finds the wreckage,
- 20:05Speaker 2: and he's kind of looking at where his daughter died.
- 20:08Speaker 2: And there's a few sequences that I'm like, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: he's actually doing a little bit of acting here. And
- 20:13Speaker 2: I think it's almost second nature. I think it's just
- 20:15Speaker 2: he is a decent actor. And I think he falls
- 20:17Speaker 2: right into it. And that, I think, makes it so
- 20:20Speaker 2: much worse for the rest of the cast. Because you
- 20:22Speaker 2: see them struggling, trying to find a character or something.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And Lance just does his thing. I mean, he's pretty
- 20:27Speaker 2: much Lance in every movie he's in. Just sometimes he's
- 20:31Speaker 2: the good guy, sometimes he's the bad. But there's not
- 20:33Speaker 2: many shades of difference even between his good and bad guys.
- 20:36Speaker 2: He's just sort of Lance in most things he goes into.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and he is the best thing in the movie.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Outside of the location they shot him in, which is beautiful. But,
- 20:45Speaker 3: I mean, outside of that, he's the best thing in
- 20:46Speaker 3: the movie.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. The rest of them, like I said, the
- 20:50Speaker 2: original two, but even like the computer guys, kind of ridiculous.
- 20:54Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And can you tell, like, the only other one that's
- 20:58Speaker 2: almost tolerable, the Andrea Roth chick isn't bad. Like, she
- 21:01Speaker 2: doesn't do anything. My question is, did you ever figure
- 21:03Speaker 2: out why she's there? Like, why that blonde just shows
- 21:06Speaker 2: up in the middle of, like, she's so out of place.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And I guess they were going for that. You know,
- 21:10Speaker 2: let's throw some sort of weird chick in the middle
- 21:13Speaker 2: of it.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Supposedly, she knew something about something Hendrickson's company was developing.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That's all I caught.
- 21:20Speaker 2: But she never really did. did anything. By the end,
- 21:24Speaker 2: she was trying to... We won't go into that fully yet,
- 21:27Speaker 2: but she comes into contact with this thing she sort
- 21:31Speaker 2: of knows something about. But at the same time, it's
- 21:33Speaker 2: like she still didn't seem like she was there for
- 21:36Speaker 2: any real reason. She just sort of tagged along for
- 21:38Speaker 2: no special purpose.
- 21:41Speaker 3: She was there for a reason. She was there to
- 21:43Speaker 3: deliver exposition to move the story along. Yeah, I guess.
- 21:48Speaker 3: The one that tops her, though, is that other chick.
- 21:51Speaker 3: She had nothing to do. Like, I felt bad for
- 21:53Speaker 3: the actress. I was like, what a waste. Like, I
- 21:56Speaker 3: hope you at least got a normal paycheck for this.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I guess that was Mary Mancini.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Yes, she had nothing. You're right.
- 22:06Speaker 2: She had nothing to do.
- 22:08Speaker 3: She looked like a slender Nia Vardalos or whatever her
- 22:12Speaker 3: name is, that girl from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:15Speaker 3: That's what she looked like.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, she might have been a decent actress.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I don't know. She only had a couple of speaking
- 22:22Speaker 2: parts throughout the whole thing. She was just a waste
- 22:24Speaker 2: of space. And again, not even blaming her for it.
- 22:27Speaker 2: It was just like, why are you writing in characters
- 22:29Speaker 2: that you don't need, I guess, if you're not going
- 22:31Speaker 2: to make them do anything? Just cut it down to
- 22:33Speaker 2: four or five.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Well, it's very much a standard walk for a while,
- 22:39Speaker 3: spout some dialogue, stop at a campfire, tell a story.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Get up the next day, have a slight encounter maybe
- 22:47Speaker 3: in the middle of the night. Either that or a
- 22:50Speaker 3: possible sexual encounter in the middle of the night. Then
- 22:53Speaker 3: wake up the next day, walk some more, stop, another campfire,
- 22:56Speaker 3: another story.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Get this.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Northern California, 1883.
- 23:00Speaker 5: A group of women go to visit their husbands at
- 23:03Speaker 5: a gold mining camp.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Picture it.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Long dresses, parasols, high heels, French perfume. Everything would have
- 23:12Speaker 5: been fine if it hadn't been for the French perfume.
- 23:15Speaker 5: So when they arrived, men went wild. I mean, they
- 23:19Speaker 5: hadn't had any female contact in months. But let me
- 23:22Speaker 5: tell you, it wasn't just the men they succeeded in attracting.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Late that night, a Sasquatch attracted by the lady's perfume
- 23:30Speaker 5: entered the camp and abducted one of the women. Then
- 23:33Speaker 5: he took her back to his cave and mated with her.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Oh, God! You're sick, puppy.
- 23:40Speaker 5: Legend has it, nine months later, she gave birth to
- 23:42Speaker 5: a baby completely covered in brown fur.
- 23:45Speaker 10: What a bunch of bulls.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh, would you shut up?
- 23:49Speaker 3: You know, wash, rinse, repeat. It was that all the
- 23:52Speaker 3: way up to a certain point, which I think I
- 23:54Speaker 3: even wrote down the minute. Let's see. 59 minutes is
- 23:59Speaker 3: when we actually get a full-blown Sasquatch attack.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Yeah, which, I don't know. It Do we want to
- 24:06Speaker 2: go into the stuff with the Sasquatch at this point,
- 24:09Speaker 2: or do we want to hold off a little bit?
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to see if I got any other notes
- 24:13Speaker 3: here before we get to that, but I really don't.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I mean, before that, the only thing, I mean, we also,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and I think what, in the first half of the movie,
- 24:20Speaker 2: became another really sort of grating and big problem for
- 24:25Speaker 2: me was the way that they pieced everything together. Like,
- 24:28Speaker 2: they just overdid this crazy slow-mo stuff and the ridiculous
- 24:33Speaker 2: shots and all these weird, like, jumping back and forth
- 24:37Speaker 2: between shots and fade to black between shots. And I'm like,
- 24:41Speaker 2: is this guy showing off? Or what the hell is
- 24:43Speaker 2: he doing exactly? The director is just throwing in all
- 24:46Speaker 2: these tricks that were kind of above the movie, you know?
- 24:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it was almost like a wedding video.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Well, not even that. It's like it was trying to be, like,
- 24:55Speaker 2: really super high-end developed or something. It was like he
- 24:58Speaker 2: was trying to work in, like, a really artsy movie.
- 25:02Speaker 2: But I'm like, we're watching Sasquatch here, you know? It's like,
- 25:06Speaker 2: And there's a way, I guess, you could make a well-made,
- 25:09Speaker 2: well-thought-out movie about this, but this is not it. So
- 25:13Speaker 2: when you're watching this half-assed movie, but you've got this
- 25:17Speaker 2: director or whoever put in all this stuff, it might
- 25:20Speaker 2: have even been put in after the fact, but it
- 25:22Speaker 2: just becomes really annoying and kind of ridiculous that you're
- 25:25Speaker 2: trying to piece together this half-assed plot anyway, and then
- 25:29Speaker 2: it keeps jumping back and forth, and it'll fade to
- 25:31Speaker 2: black every few seconds before it starts the next little
- 25:34Speaker 2: segment of the scene, and I don't know, it just
- 25:36Speaker 2: got really attempting to be artsy, but didn't have anything
- 25:39Speaker 2: to back it up. And then midway through, it seems
- 25:42Speaker 2: like it forgot about half of that. It's like it
- 25:43Speaker 2: got away from it halfway into the movie.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's totally a movie. One of my notes was
- 25:50Speaker 3: this made for TV, because at first I thought the
- 25:52Speaker 3: way the breaks were going, it felt like it was
- 25:54Speaker 3: edited for television on the DVD. But then I started
- 25:58Speaker 3: to realize that he was using the kind of fade
- 26:00Speaker 3: to blacks as a stylistic choice.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yeah, which, again, could be great in a better movie,
- 26:07Speaker 2: but they just seem odd and out of place in
- 26:09Speaker 2: this movie.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Well, really, the biggest problem with the movie is the pacing.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I mean, the movie is ultimately boring.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yes, yes it is.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I know, I just had this feeling while I was
- 26:18Speaker 3: watching it that you were watching it somewhere going, ugh, Jesus,
- 26:22Speaker 3: can we see a Sasquatch, please?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Well, my thing, I got all the way to the end,
- 26:26Speaker 2: and this won't spoil anything, because I just got to
- 26:28Speaker 2: the end and went, did anything happen?
- 26:30Speaker 3: I was just like, What the.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Hell's going on here? So, yeah, that jumps all the
- 26:35Speaker 2: way to the end there. But, well, we can go
- 26:37Speaker 2: on with what supposedly happened. But on the way there,
- 26:41Speaker 2: I just remember watching and watching and half falling asleep
- 26:44Speaker 2: and watching. And by the end, I was just like, wait,
- 26:47Speaker 2: what the hell? I was like, where did we go
- 26:50Speaker 2: with this movie?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a lot of what the hell moments.
- 26:53Speaker 3: And it wasn't the kind of what the hell moments
- 26:54Speaker 3: that are good what the hell moments, you know, where
- 26:56Speaker 3: you get a smile on your face because it's ludicrous
- 26:58Speaker 3: or it's kind of silly.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Those are priceless, actually.
- 27:02Speaker 3: There is a moment where I was like, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 3: what the fuck? But, you know, we haven't got to
- 27:08Speaker 3: that point yet. I'll talk about it here in a
- 27:09Speaker 3: little bit, but haven't got to that point yet. But
- 27:12Speaker 3: I did want to also add that it's funny to
- 27:16Speaker 3: me that, you know, they're looking for this plane, and
- 27:20Speaker 3: they finally find this area where they think the plane
- 27:22Speaker 3: might have crashed. They found one piece in a tree,
- 27:25Speaker 3: and then they walk for another two miles or something,
- 27:28Speaker 3: and they find the rest of the plane. And they
- 27:30Speaker 3: say it must have crashed way back there, but then
- 27:32Speaker 3: it got dragged over here. And they're like, well, how
- 27:34Speaker 3: can that happen? This plane weighs 5,000 pounds. Something must
- 27:38Speaker 3: have dragged it that was really strong.
- 27:40Speaker 2: They kept saying that. Like something must have drugged the plane.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Did you ever figure out why the hell would you
- 27:47Speaker 2: drag the plane?
- 27:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't figure out why you would drag it.
- 27:49Speaker 3: And also, there's no way anything could drag a plane
- 27:52Speaker 3: through that because there was trees everywhere.
- 27:54Speaker 2: That's the other thing I was thinking. I was like, well,
- 27:56Speaker 2: it's still a big plane. I mean, yeah, unless you've
- 27:58Speaker 2: got a giant clearing, you can't be dragging it in
- 28:01Speaker 2: one big piece like that.
- 28:03Speaker 3: You wreck a plane into a forest that densely wooded,
- 28:07Speaker 3: the plane is going to disintegrate.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Yeah, first of all, it's not going to look like
- 28:10Speaker 2: a plane anymore.
- 28:11Speaker 3: It's going to be just.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Little shreds of metal and everything else that was inside.
- 28:15Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 2: That doesn't make any sense. And then if it were
- 28:19Speaker 2: still shaped like a plane, there's no way in hell
- 28:20Speaker 2: you could drag it through all the trees. So yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 2: giant plot points there needed addressing.
- 28:27Speaker 3: But again, it was just another reason for them to
- 28:29Speaker 3: have to walk from one spot to another while telling
- 28:31Speaker 3: more exposition.
- 28:32Speaker 2: I guess, but why did they even pretend like that?
- 28:35Speaker 2: Wouldn't it have been simpler to just not find it
- 28:37Speaker 2: that first time and get to it eventually?
- 28:39Speaker 3: Yes, it would have.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Oh, it crashed here.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Well, it did give us a chance to watch our
- 28:42Speaker 3: ranger guy climb a tree.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Well, I don't think I need to see that.
- 28:47Speaker 3: That's really all I did. Really, if you think about it,
- 28:50Speaker 3: he's the only reason why. He all of a sudden says,
- 28:53Speaker 3: hold on to this, and he starts running up this tree.
- 28:55Speaker 3: It's like, what the hell? What am I doing? I'm
- 28:57Speaker 3: watching a grown man climb a tree. This is not entertainment.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Like the Lumberjack games or something.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that's what we need in this movie.
- 29:07Speaker 2: It's got enough issues.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I'm ready to get into some spoiler talk if you
- 29:11Speaker 3: want to get into it.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I guess. Does any of this tie into the... Because
- 29:17Speaker 2: I specifically wanted to address when the blonde gets in
- 29:20Speaker 2: the tent moment.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Oh, okay. We can talk about that.
- 29:23Speaker 2: That's not even related to Bigfoot, really. I'm talking about
- 29:25Speaker 2: the first part when she gets into the tent.
- 29:27Speaker 3: That is the most ridiculously unsexy shot.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Well, what the hell is that? Once again, we enter
- 29:33Speaker 2: into a different movie. It's like everything up to now
- 29:35Speaker 2: has been straight, boring, little wannabe action movie, I guess,
- 29:39Speaker 2: with mostly sex. up and no action. So we're sitting there.
- 29:42Speaker 2: We've been in the woods for a half hour. And
- 29:44Speaker 2: all of a sudden it goes into like Skinamax section
- 29:47Speaker 2: where it becomes this. Slow, lingering shot on her. She's
- 29:51Speaker 2: taking her shirt off. And then it zooms in on
- 29:54Speaker 2: her feet. So we've got the fetish crowd signing on
- 29:57Speaker 2: at this point.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you've got her thigh. You've got her knee. You've
- 30:00Speaker 3: got her hip.
- 30:01Speaker 2: And it lingers on them. It's not like it's a
- 30:03Speaker 2: quick shot. It just hangs there looking at her thighs.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And I'm just like... What the hell? Where did this
- 30:09Speaker 2: come from in this movie?
- 30:11Speaker 3: Yeah, now, if they would have been wise, if they
- 30:14Speaker 3: would have went full-blown nudity, because then it could have
- 30:16Speaker 3: been more in the exploitation mode, and I would have
- 30:19Speaker 3: been more down for it.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it would have made sense, at least, because, okay,
- 30:22Speaker 2: this is what you're selling this DVD. You're going to
- 30:24Speaker 2: rent this DVD because it's got naked in this scene,
- 30:28Speaker 2: which they bring back later. They do eventually put in,
- 30:31Speaker 2: which I believe was a pretty big jump to a
- 30:33Speaker 2: body double, But they do a real quick shot of nudity.
- 30:36Speaker 2: So I'm like, well, if you're going to do it anyway,
- 30:38Speaker 2: why did you not do it in the beginning? And
- 30:41Speaker 2: if you were trying to hold out or you were
- 30:43Speaker 2: making this for TV, which is, again, what it seemed
- 30:45Speaker 2: like for a while there, then just don't put nudity in.
- 30:47Speaker 2: But then later they throw these shots of nudity in
- 30:49Speaker 2: out of nowhere that I'm just like, oh my God,
- 30:52Speaker 2: this movie is so inconsistent.
- 30:53Speaker 8: Yes.
- 30:53Speaker 3: My only thought is that they probably couldn't get Andrea
- 30:56Speaker 3: Roth to do that nude scene.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Probably, probably not, which I mean, that wasn't, but I
- 31:00Speaker 2: guess it was another one that was like inserted into
- 31:02Speaker 2: the movie later, because as they were talking about, they
- 31:04Speaker 2: said that part in the tent wasn't even shot out
- 31:07Speaker 2: there on location. It's in Hollywood somewhere. It's like a
- 31:10Speaker 2: cut in shot that they did with her. But I'm like,
- 31:13Speaker 2: once again, if you're going to go insert this back in,
- 31:16Speaker 2: why not do something with it i mean even if
- 31:18Speaker 2: it's just use it for lame nudity i mean yeah
- 31:20Speaker 2: at least you would get something out of it then.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I would say it's the worst thing in the movie
- 31:25Speaker 3: the way it's shot put in there and kind of
- 31:27Speaker 3: ham-fisted but yeah it's for me it's the second worst
- 31:30Speaker 3: thing we haven't gotten to the worst thing yet.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I don't even know if it still falls into that
- 31:35Speaker 2: cat it was just so jarring at that point i
- 31:37Speaker 2: was like what did did we switch to another movie.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Well i was laughing So I'm sure you probably were too.
- 31:44Speaker 3: You were probably smiling or laughing because it's ridiculous.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Well, and they bring up the, at the campfire earlier,
- 31:50Speaker 2: they bring up the mating with Sasquatch that I alluded
- 31:52Speaker 2: to earlier. So.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Are you on your, you know, is that time of
- 31:58Speaker 3: the month?
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Well, they like to bring that up. He brought that
- 32:02Speaker 2: up a couple of times.
- 32:03Speaker 3: She's always trying to get into Mr. H's pants.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 3: But obviously she's, you know, she's hit her period at
- 32:10Speaker 3: the same time.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So.
- 32:11Speaker 3: She's one of them freaky girls. She just wants to
- 32:14Speaker 3: go for it.
- 32:15Speaker 2: There ain't nothing wrong with it.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Mr. H, maybe he's into that. There is a good
- 32:20Speaker 3: scene between her and Hendrickson on a log crossing a ravine.
- 32:26Speaker 2: That's the time when she's kind of entertaining. She's, again,
- 32:30Speaker 2: about the only other watchable thing in this movie. She's
- 32:32Speaker 2: got her moments where it's like, alright, she's alright. She's
- 32:35Speaker 2: moving the thing along here. That's about it. It's very minimal.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and Hendrickson has that great line where he says,
- 32:42Speaker 3: I don't pay for what I can get for free
- 32:44Speaker 3: or something like that. And she's like, ooh. It's a
- 32:48Speaker 3: good moment between the two of them. It's pretty good stuff.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's about as good as it gets in this movie.
- 32:54Speaker 3: You are right. That is as good as it gets.
- 32:56Speaker 2: But yeah, back to, they bring up the story as
- 32:59Speaker 2: they're sitting there about Sasquatch mating with women. And then
- 33:02Speaker 2: that's one of the... theories of that they throw out
- 33:06Speaker 2: there of where this came from is somewhere years ago
- 33:09Speaker 2: some sasquatch mated with a woman and some hairy child
- 33:12Speaker 2: came out or whatever but some hairy child they talk
- 33:16Speaker 2: about that it's scary like.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Some sasquatch mated with a woman and out came the samurai.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Oh god now now the truth comes out but yeah
- 33:29Speaker 2: To me, it's like they get that, and then they've
- 33:31Speaker 2: got him messing with her in the tent after we've
- 33:33Speaker 2: had the Skinamax moment, and I'm just like, okay, come on.
- 33:38Speaker 2: But they don't. They leave it alone. I'm like, now
- 33:39Speaker 2: don't tease an idea like mating with Sasquatch. If you're
- 33:44Speaker 2: going to throw that out there, come on now. Follow
- 33:47Speaker 2: up on it. I mean, there's nothing that would have
- 33:49Speaker 2: been more funny and ridiculous at that point than to
- 33:51Speaker 2: see Sasquatch trying to hook up in the tent with
- 33:54Speaker 2: this girl. Right, right. Trying to put the moves on her.
- 33:58Speaker 2: He puts on a little Barry White. Brings some wine
- 34:02Speaker 2: into the tent.
- 34:03Speaker 3: He grabs her ankle. That's pretty much all he does.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's lame. That was. That was not good at all.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I wanted to see him, you know, put the moves
- 34:11Speaker 2: on her.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it was pretty bad.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Altogether.
- 34:16Speaker 2: So, I guess, yeah, if you want to move on
- 34:20Speaker 2: into the actual spoilery Bigfoot area here.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, the thing is... You know, this is all spoilers, so,
- 34:28Speaker 3: you know, and I want to, you know, make sure
- 34:31Speaker 3: we talk about this. But, I mean, just warn everybody
- 34:35Speaker 3: that this is going to be spoilers. So if you're
- 34:36Speaker 3: not going to watch the movie, then, you know, and
- 34:37Speaker 3: you still won't listen to this, that's fine. I don't
- 34:40Speaker 3: think it's going to matter.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Even with the, I mean, even knowing what we're going
- 34:43Speaker 2: to say, I don't think it's going to hurt the
- 34:45Speaker 2: movie one way or the other. It's still going to
- 34:47Speaker 2: be pretty much the same movie. Yes.
- 34:49Speaker 3: So we come to find out that the plane, when
- 34:52Speaker 3: it went down, evidently there was some blood on the plane,
- 34:54Speaker 3: which we never see. But they keep talking about this
- 34:57Speaker 3: blood on the plane and that they'd hit something, but
- 35:00Speaker 3: they don't know what. And, you know, of course, you're
- 35:03Speaker 3: laying in the woods, so you could hit anything. They
- 35:06Speaker 3: make this big deal out of blood on a plane.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And what I found funny about it was I just
- 35:13Speaker 3: kept laughing about them talking about this blood on the plane.
- 35:16Speaker 3: And so we eventually find out that, you know, the
- 35:20Speaker 3: Sasquatch is near the plane area. He takes out the
- 35:24Speaker 3: drunk guy. And, you know, that's a 59-minute mark when
- 35:28Speaker 3: we get a Sasquatch kill.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Yeah, really.
- 35:30Speaker 3: That couldn't have came any sooner, I mean, any later.
- 35:34Speaker 3: I mean, it was terrible that we had to wait
- 35:35Speaker 3: that long for this character that I could not stand.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I don't understand. And, again, while they're
- 35:41Speaker 2: throwing in all these extra characters, with most horror movies,
- 35:44Speaker 2: that's why you have such a large group is so
- 35:46Speaker 2: you can be knocking them off every 15 minutes.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:49Speaker 2: And this one, they're throwing in two or three characters
- 35:51Speaker 2: we don't even need. And it's still an hour into
- 35:54Speaker 2: the movie before we finally kill one of these annoying
- 35:56Speaker 2: bastards off.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Yes. It didn't make any sense to me.
- 35:59Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 36:01Speaker 3: But then when we get to the back end of
- 36:03Speaker 3: the film and we get a nice scene where they
- 36:05Speaker 3: go into the Sasquatch or the Untold's little his bat cave,
- 36:11Speaker 3: so to speak.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Which was actually probably the other best part of the movie.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I really like the structure itself.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Yes, yes. And the way that things were stored in
- 36:20Speaker 3: there was pretty cool.
- 36:21Speaker 5: Yep.
- 36:21Speaker 3: And, yeah, that was okay. I mean, the production design
- 36:24Speaker 3: there was pretty good and stuff. The way our Army Ranger,
- 36:27Speaker 3: or not our Army Ranger, our Park Ranger reacts to
- 36:29Speaker 3: it was pretty ridiculous.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Well, he's just a bad actor. He's like, oh, jeez.
- 36:35Speaker 2: But the structure itself, especially in this movie, which has
- 36:37Speaker 2: a very modest budget, it looked good, and they did
- 36:40Speaker 2: a decent job with it and kind of interesting the
- 36:44Speaker 2: structure of the bodies and whatnot. So it was pretty cool.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Yes, that was pretty cool. So now we're into chase mode, though.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Now we're into people running through the woods, ultra-cheap filmmaking,
- 36:56Speaker 3: point-of-view shots, all kinds of crap like that going on.
- 36:59Speaker 3: And I'm thinking, okay, we're never going to see this Sasquatch.
- 37:04Speaker 3: This is going to be one of those Sasquatch movies.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Because I've watched a lot of these things. I'd never
- 37:10Speaker 3: seen this one before we did it for the show,
- 37:11Speaker 3: so this one's new to me. So I was thinking, oh, yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 3: this is going to be one of those Sasquatch movies.
- 37:16Speaker 3: We're not going to see the Sasquatch. But then we
- 37:19Speaker 3: do see the Sasquatch, or the Untold. And this is
- 37:25Speaker 3: easily one of the worst movie costumes I've ever seen.
- 37:31Speaker 2: See, now, are we talking about the very end shot
- 37:34Speaker 2: of him kind of thing?
- 37:35Speaker 3: Yeah, we're talking about the face-off.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Okay. Because this, and again, this gets into what little
- 37:41Speaker 2: more I found out about... when them making the movie
- 37:44Speaker 2: is they had two different versions of the suit.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:47Speaker 2: And the ones, the ones that we get in those
- 37:49Speaker 2: little flashes along the way were the ones that the
- 37:52Speaker 2: original makeup guy did and were actually like really good.
- 37:55Speaker 2: And then they had to do reshoots at the end
- 37:57Speaker 2: and they didn't have that guy anymore. I don't remember
- 37:59Speaker 2: what happened. He might've died or something. I can't remember,
- 38:02Speaker 2: but he like, then they had to go back and
- 38:04Speaker 2: piece together this other suit and they just slapped one
- 38:06Speaker 2: together for this last day of shoots or whatever and
- 38:09Speaker 2: And that ends up being the big final one that
- 38:11Speaker 2: we end up seeing, I think. And that's sad, because
- 38:15Speaker 2: what little you saw of the other one actually looked
- 38:16Speaker 2: like it was decent, but we never really got to
- 38:19Speaker 2: see that. That was the half-second shots that they would
- 38:22Speaker 2: throw in here and there throughout the movie. But when
- 38:24Speaker 2: you get to the grand finale shot where you actually
- 38:26Speaker 2: show it, and it's like a hairy guy, you know?
- 38:30Speaker 2: It's nothing.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Well, he's not a hairy guy. He's a bodybuilder guy with...
- 38:37Speaker 3: the strands of hair attached to his body by what
- 38:40Speaker 3: looks like rubber bands.
- 38:42Speaker 2: It's like patchy hair he got. Because his legs, like
- 38:44Speaker 2: the front of them are bare, but he's got these
- 38:46Speaker 2: long strands coming off the sides. I'm like, couldn't you
- 38:49Speaker 2: at least? And I think they do joke. They're like,
- 38:51Speaker 2: oh yeah, we didn't have any more hair. I was like, wow, really?
- 38:55Speaker 3: Yeah, at least put him behind a tree or something.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it looked so thrown together, which I.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Guess it was.
- 39:02Speaker 3: They painted him completely black too.
- 39:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Which was ridiculous looking. I mean, it was totally, he
- 39:07Speaker 3: looked more like a gorilla than he did a Sasquatch.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Basically it was really, really bad. And it really, it
- 39:15Speaker 3: really ruined what was already a bad movie.
- 39:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Because if your money shot is that bad, you really just,
- 39:22Speaker 3: you know, you're better off not showing it and having
- 39:25Speaker 3: people leave the theater mad for not showing the Sasquatch.
- 39:28Speaker 2: But that was, and that, that, was kind of my
- 39:30Speaker 2: note was going the other way, not about the suit,
- 39:32Speaker 2: but just with the structure of the movie. I was like,
- 39:35Speaker 2: why didn't they show the monster? Last time out, Legend
- 39:40Speaker 2: of Boggy Creek, it kind of helped that they didn't
- 39:43Speaker 2: show it. Before, that guy had no money and they're
- 39:45Speaker 2: using a cheap bear suit more than likely. So it's
- 39:48Speaker 2: like it was really smart of him to be like
- 39:50Speaker 2: off the distance or out of focus or a half
- 39:52Speaker 2: second shot. But this is, you know, many years later
- 39:56Speaker 2: with a hell of a lot bigger budget than that
- 39:57Speaker 2: guy had. So you'd think they could get together a
- 40:00Speaker 2: pretty decent suit of some sort. And to me, that
- 40:03Speaker 2: would have helped the movie. Like if we would have
- 40:04Speaker 2: had a full on screen, like it could have teased
- 40:07Speaker 2: it for about a half hour. But after that, if
- 40:09Speaker 2: we could have gotten him on screen and had him
- 40:11Speaker 2: taken out these annoying characters every 15 minutes like he
- 40:14Speaker 2: needs to. Mm hmm. I think it would have helped
- 40:16Speaker 2: the movie itself. It's like, I think this kind of
- 40:18Speaker 2: movie would have actually been improved by seeing the creature
- 40:21Speaker 2: on screen. And we don't really get that the whole
- 40:24Speaker 2: rest of the movie.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 40:26Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:28Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 40:28Speaker 3: I mean, it's obvious to me, I need to listen
- 40:30Speaker 3: to this commentary track and I would actually watch the
- 40:32Speaker 3: film again to hear that commentary because.
- 40:34Speaker 2: There's not much else to it. I hate to tell you.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I mean, they, it's just them. Like again, the title
- 40:39Speaker 2: scene and like some of the stuff about the, the
- 40:41Speaker 2: makeup change and all that. But, It's not really that interesting,
- 40:45Speaker 2: I have to say. There's not a whole lot going
- 40:47Speaker 2: on there.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well, that's a shame.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it kind of is.
- 40:51Speaker 3: This movie's pretty embarrassing. I mean, it's pretty bad. And Hendrickson, man,
- 40:56Speaker 3: he ought to be... I mean, I would say he
- 40:58Speaker 3: ought to be ashamed of himself, but he's done other
- 41:00Speaker 3: stuff that's just as bad as this.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I mean, he's a working actor. He understands,
- 41:05Speaker 2: you know, sometimes you've got to cash a check. And
- 41:09Speaker 2: I think we, as movie fans, kind of understand that, too.
- 41:12Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't... excuse the movies but you know
- 41:15Speaker 2: i i think we don't necessarily hold it against them sometimes.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Right it was it's a job you know yeah well
- 41:21Speaker 3: me and will talk about that on our show all
- 41:22Speaker 3: the time you know sometimes these actors you know that
- 41:24Speaker 3: you know don't hit the big paychecks and the big
- 41:27Speaker 3: movies and stuff you know they're working actors you know
- 41:29Speaker 3: they got they got families they got kids they got
- 41:31Speaker 3: car payments they got everything like we do yeah yeah
- 41:34Speaker 3: they gotta go to work you know and if it
- 41:35Speaker 3: means starring in a movie with shit squatch and that's
- 41:39Speaker 3: what it means Oh, man.
- 41:42Speaker 2: How about the fact that we forgot to mention that
- 41:46Speaker 2: Bigfoot has spidey sense?
- 41:49Speaker 3: Yes, he does. He's a superhero, Bigfoot.
- 41:52Speaker 2: He can sense danger. That's why, because they were like, well,
- 41:55Speaker 2: if there was a Bigfoot out there, how come nobody's
- 41:57Speaker 2: ever shot one and killed one? Well, because he can
- 42:00Speaker 2: sense the bullets are coming and he ducks them.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Even though I think he takes a hit at
- 42:05Speaker 3: one point, or at least we're led to believe he
- 42:06Speaker 3: takes a hit.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Well, that's because that guy was drunk and he was
- 42:09Speaker 2: just randomly firing. If he had been thinking about it,
- 42:11Speaker 2: he could have sensed it, but that guy was just
- 42:13Speaker 2: spinning in a circle firing.
- 42:15Speaker 3: I still don't even understand the physics of that Bigfoot
- 42:18Speaker 3: attack because all of a sudden it's like Bigfoot's hanging
- 42:20Speaker 3: from a tree or something and he pulls him up.
- 42:22Speaker 3: He must be really, really tall. That must have been
- 42:24Speaker 3: what they were going for because he reaches from way,
- 42:26Speaker 3: way down, way above to pull the drunk guy up
- 42:29Speaker 3: above his head.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Well, that's another one. One of the few things that
- 42:34Speaker 2: they brought up that was almost useful is they brought
- 42:36Speaker 2: up how much they don't They were kind of going
- 42:38Speaker 2: out of their way to not make it gory. Right. Like, again,
- 42:41Speaker 2: for some sort of artistic sense, I think... The only
- 42:44Speaker 2: thing they said they were trying to base this on was, like,
- 42:46Speaker 2: the old movie serials kind of thing. Like, the old
- 42:49Speaker 2: action serials and going out in the woods and, you know,
- 42:52Speaker 2: looking for whatever it was they would have been looking
- 42:54Speaker 2: for back then, only this was a Bigfoot version of it.
- 42:56Speaker 2: And they were trying to keep it like that, I think,
- 42:59Speaker 2: that it was supposed to be, like, very action-oriented but
- 43:02Speaker 2: not really gory. And once again, I'm like, do you
- 43:05Speaker 2: know what movie you're making? I mean, that's, you know...
- 43:08Speaker 2: It's like they kind of missed the memo of what
- 43:11Speaker 2: they were piecing together here. I was like, that's what
- 43:13Speaker 2: sells this kind of movie. I mean, you're making a
- 43:15Speaker 2: very cheap straight-to-DVD movie. You don't want to throw in
- 43:19Speaker 2: the naked girl in the tent. You don't want to
- 43:21Speaker 2: throw in bad, violent shots with over-the-top gore, because at
- 43:25Speaker 2: least you're going to please the people that are looking
- 43:27Speaker 2: for that. I wouldn't be impressed one way or the other,
- 43:30Speaker 2: but somebody would at least sign on, where here you
- 43:33Speaker 2: just get kind of nothing on all fronts, really.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, that's the biggest problem with the movie. I think,
- 43:40Speaker 3: you know, after I watched this, it was one of
- 43:43Speaker 3: those few moments where I felt like I wasted 90
- 43:45Speaker 3: minutes of my life. And you know, Brian, I watch
- 43:50Speaker 3: a lot of crap. Yeah, that's what I was going
- 43:51Speaker 3: to say.
- 43:52Speaker 2: I usually get a lot of crap from the rest
- 43:54Speaker 2: of the guys for making them watch horrible movies. And
- 43:57Speaker 2: I get so, that's what's so funny is they will
- 44:00Speaker 2: be just all bitching about it. And I'm like, I
- 44:01Speaker 2: don't care. I had a good time, you know.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:04Speaker 2: As we watched Night of the Lepus last week. Right.
- 44:08Speaker 2: I was thoroughly amused for pretty much the whole run
- 44:10Speaker 2: of the movie. The rest were not so much. But
- 44:13Speaker 2: I was like, you know, it's, you kind of get
- 44:15Speaker 2: what you want out of it. And usually I can
- 44:17Speaker 2: find the good time to be had out of most
- 44:19Speaker 2: bad movies. But even then, like this one was just
- 44:22Speaker 2: so lackluster in every aspect that it's, It's really hard
- 44:27Speaker 2: to find something good to take from it.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Yes. I can't think of anything. The only way I
- 44:34Speaker 3: could recommend this film to anybody is if they are
- 44:36Speaker 3: a Lance Henriksen completist or they are a Bigfoot aficionado
- 44:41Speaker 3: such as myself or you. That's the only way I
- 44:45Speaker 3: would go anywhere near this film. If you are neither
- 44:47Speaker 3: one of those things at all, then you have no
- 44:50Speaker 3: business watching this movie. Trust me, you were just more
- 44:54Speaker 3: entertained by me and you talking about it Probably. Than
- 44:57Speaker 3: this movie was.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 45:01Speaker 3: It was really rough.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I was kind of expecting a little more.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Let me just say, though, too, that ham-fisted scene where
- 45:08Speaker 3: he buries a seashell for his daughter. I almost wanted
- 45:12Speaker 3: to punch my television. I was so irritated.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Well, that was one of the things, like, that part
- 45:18Speaker 2: was silly, but at the same time, there were shots
- 45:20Speaker 2: here and there. That was one of the ones I
- 45:22Speaker 2: thought looked pretty good. There's moments when it looks good.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I was trying to at least give the director something, and, like,
- 45:28Speaker 2: there's a few shots. There's a shot of Lance sitting
- 45:30Speaker 2: in the plane by the window at the end there
- 45:32Speaker 2: that was a good shot. The shot of him standing
- 45:36Speaker 2: there burying it with the people behind him was a
- 45:37Speaker 2: good shot. So there's moments. I've looked the guy up.
- 45:40Speaker 2: He's done a couple of other what seem to be
- 45:43Speaker 2: really bad straight-to-DVD movies, so... I don't know if there's
- 45:46Speaker 2: really any hope for him that he'll ever graduate up
- 45:48Speaker 2: to a better movie. There's moments of promise, but again,
- 45:53Speaker 2: it doesn't really excuse the whole rest of the movie.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. That's the thing. I was thinking about it,
- 46:00Speaker 3: and I looked him up, and he recently did the
- 46:04Speaker 3: film that was on Netflix Instant that I almost watched,
- 46:06Speaker 3: which is such a weird coincidence. It was that film Scourge.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:10Speaker 3: It's kind of got a cool straight DVD cover. I
- 46:13Speaker 3: was like, I'm going to watch that. You know, that
- 46:14Speaker 3: looks like it might be kind of cool. Of course,
- 46:16Speaker 3: you know, I know that these things typically aren't.
- 46:19Speaker 2: That's why they get the cool cover.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Sucker you in.
- 46:22Speaker 3: And I thought, oh, I'll watch that. I'll watch that movie.
- 46:24Speaker 3: But I never got around to it. And now I'm
- 46:26Speaker 3: thinking after watching this, I'll never get around to it
- 46:28Speaker 3: because I have no interest in it. Unless this director
- 46:30Speaker 3: does something to change some of his aspects, I don't
- 46:33Speaker 3: have any interest in him.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it is one of those, I don't know,
- 46:37Speaker 2: listening to them, I don't know how much to blame
- 46:40Speaker 2: on them, because there really was a lot of stuff
- 46:42Speaker 2: that they were like, where did that part go? Really,
- 46:46Speaker 2: if you want to hear the commentary, I'll lend you
- 46:47Speaker 2: this movie, because it is interesting just to watch them
- 46:51Speaker 2: sit there and go, what about this part? I thought
- 46:52Speaker 2: that was earlier. And they were like, no, that got
- 46:54Speaker 2: taken out. So it's like there was almost so much
- 46:56Speaker 2: going on that they didn't even know was going on.
- 46:59Speaker 2: So I don't know who... was doing it all, really, because, again,
- 47:03Speaker 2: we had the director and the executive producer sitting there,
- 47:05Speaker 2: so unless there's a producer somewhere that was just slapping
- 47:08Speaker 2: this thing together the way that he wanted, I don't
- 47:11Speaker 2: know where the lost aspect of this is coming from
- 47:16Speaker 2: that's totally screwing up this movie more than it already.
- 47:18Speaker 2: I mean, it wasn't going into it as a great movie,
- 47:20Speaker 2: but it could have been entertaining, at least, if nothing else,
- 47:24Speaker 2: and it even loses that. And I'm not sure who
- 47:27Speaker 2: all to blame it on. I will have to give
- 47:29Speaker 2: them credit. Do you know this was shot in 12 days?
- 47:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I can see that because it's really just walking
- 47:36Speaker 3: around the woods.
- 47:37Speaker 2: There's not much else to it.
- 47:38Speaker 3: They really just needed, you know. I actually tweeted when
- 47:43Speaker 3: I was watching this film. I actually tweeted, you know,
- 47:46Speaker 3: one of the movie conventions I'm really sick of is
- 47:48Speaker 3: people running through the woods, running through the woods, and
- 47:49Speaker 3: then all of a sudden coming to a cliff.
- 47:51Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 47:52Speaker 3: And with a bunch of waterfalls. And I'm like, you
- 47:54Speaker 3: couldn't hear that waterfall?
- 47:55Speaker 2: No.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Two miles away?
- 47:57Speaker 2: Yeah, those are usually kind of loud.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Yeah, the waterfall only drops about 500 feet. I'm sure
- 48:03Speaker 3: you could probably hear that in the woods, but, you know,
- 48:05Speaker 3: it's just one of those things you get tired of. But, yeah,
- 48:08Speaker 3: I mean, I would like to borrow it. I actually
- 48:09Speaker 3: would like it. I wouldn't mind it. I'll borrow that
- 48:11Speaker 3: from you sometime. I like those commentaries. Commentaries for bad
- 48:14Speaker 3: movies are actually more interesting than commentaries for good movies.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Yeah, again, there's not much from the... the artistic end
- 48:21Speaker 2: of it. But again, the only part that seems kind
- 48:23Speaker 2: of interesting is the fact that they're surprised by what
- 48:27Speaker 2: they're watching as much as we are.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Yes.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I don't know if they're in horror as much as
- 48:31Speaker 2: we are. Yes. They seem to be in shock as
- 48:34Speaker 2: things they expected to be somewhere aren't there anymore. I
- 48:37Speaker 2: don't know.
- 48:37Speaker 3: I think there's a couple moments looking at Hendrickson's face
- 48:39Speaker 3: where it looks to me like he's in horror that
- 48:41Speaker 3: he's in this thing.
- 48:42Speaker 2: I agree, actually.
- 48:43Speaker 3: He's a long way from survival quest in this film,
- 48:45Speaker 3: I can tell you that.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Has nothing to do with Bigfoot.
- 48:48Speaker 10: Yes.
- 48:49Speaker 3: All right, so what's this damn thing do anyway?
- 48:51Speaker 10: I can't tell you that. Look, let's get on with
- 48:54Speaker 10: the search.
- 48:55Speaker 2: I gotta find my.
- 48:55Speaker 4: Why, you already got what you came for.
- 48:57Speaker 6: Yeah, why don't you tell these nice people what they're
- 48:59Speaker 6: really risking their necks for?
- 49:00Speaker 5: I'd really like to know what it.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Does, Mr. A.
- 49:01Speaker 4: It doesn't have to tell you a damn thing.
- 49:05Speaker 10: Where are you going to?
- 49:06Speaker 1: I'm heading back.
- 49:07Speaker 4: I didn't come up here for some damn box.
- 49:10Speaker 2: You're wasting my time.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Listen, Chief.
- 49:12Speaker 4: You leave and you're fired.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah? Yeah.
- 49:15Speaker 4: You know something, Berg? You can take your damn money
- 49:18Speaker 4: and eat it on the way out of here.
- 49:20Speaker 2: All right, look.
- 49:21Speaker 1: We did come up here to search for survivors.
- 49:24Speaker 10: That tin box is the future of my corporation.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Hey, listen.
- 49:27Speaker 4: This ain't no game.
- 49:29Speaker 2: There definitely is something up here.
- 49:31Speaker 6: Something that can drag 5,000 pounds of airplane through miles
- 49:34Speaker 6: of bush. Something that can rip a man's arm off
- 49:37Speaker 6: and take a grizz down with a rock.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Now, I came up here because there was word we
- 49:41Speaker 4: might have survivors. And when that happens, I don't say no. Alright?
- 49:45Speaker 4: You clear?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Good.
- 49:46Speaker 6: Your machine's fine. Your company's fine.
- 49:49Speaker 8: I'm gone.
- 49:50Speaker 2: We really didn't even touch on the black box aspect.
- 49:53Speaker 2: He goes toting this black box through the whole movie.
- 49:56Speaker 2: The whole last half.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Of the movie. This is what he's in there to get.
- 50:00Speaker 3: This technology that can... I don't know. I guess you
- 50:05Speaker 3: can pull a hair out of my head and stick
- 50:07Speaker 3: it on this box and it can tell me everything.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I mean, isn't that just a DNA machine? What's the,
- 50:12Speaker 3: what's the big deal?
- 50:13Speaker 2: I was like, I was like, don't we kind of
- 50:15Speaker 2: have that? I mean, the only thing it, What we
- 50:18Speaker 2: wouldn't have seen before is the Bigfoot aspect that now
- 50:21Speaker 2: you have a hair from Bigfoot that you threw in there.
- 50:23Speaker 2: And we have all that information. But other than that,
- 50:26Speaker 2: didn't they have those machines before that? They just didn't
- 50:28Speaker 2: have the Bigfoot fur to make use of.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Well, all I can think is that what it basically
- 50:33Speaker 3: is is just a faster version of that. It's like
- 50:36Speaker 3: going from a desktop to a laptop. Or it's like
- 50:38Speaker 3: going from, I don't know, a regular phone to iPhone.
- 50:41Speaker 3: I don't fucking know.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:44Speaker 3: I don't have any explanation. Really, all it looks like
- 50:46Speaker 3: is a filing box with a piece of electronic firmware
- 50:49Speaker 3: on top of it with a couple switches and a
- 50:51Speaker 3: red light.
- 50:52Speaker 8: Yep.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It's funny. Yeah, they took this thing around the whole
- 50:56Speaker 2: last half of the movie, and it becomes sort of
- 50:57Speaker 2: an important aspect.
- 50:59Speaker 3: The board game operation looks fancier.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Yeah, really. Well, the only other thing I wanted to
- 51:06Speaker 2: discuss was they throw out a theory in this that
- 51:09Speaker 2: I thought we should present at least in our series here.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 51:12Speaker 2: And they thought that they kind of addressed this, but
- 51:15Speaker 2: not really. There's originally this thought that each species was
- 51:19Speaker 2: its own and no two versions could exist more or
- 51:22Speaker 2: less of the same species. Now, since that has been disproven,
- 51:26Speaker 2: so they say, and this theory that they come from
- 51:30Speaker 2: with this idea is that it stems from the Bigfoot
- 51:33Speaker 2: is basically the same species as we are. It just
- 51:37Speaker 2: branched off at some point and developed in its own way.
- 51:40Speaker 2: So we are essentially the same creature. So that's kind
- 51:44Speaker 2: of a new version of it, that he's not like
- 51:46Speaker 2: his own animal running around out there. He's actually a
- 51:50Speaker 2: different version of us out there in the world.
- 51:53Speaker 3: I could see that. I mean, that makes sense. I mean,
- 51:56Speaker 3: if you think about nature and what it does and stuff,
- 51:59Speaker 3: I mean, that's a perfectly logical explanation for a Bigfoot.
- 52:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:02Speaker 3: For a Sasquatch to exist. I mean, it makes sense
- 52:04Speaker 3: to me.
- 52:06Speaker 2: And in this, again, we are just sort of trying
- 52:08Speaker 2: to address what they do with the monster in each
- 52:10Speaker 2: of these movies. And in this movie... Again, for the
- 52:15Speaker 2: bulk of it, he seems just like a monster. But
- 52:17Speaker 2: in the end, they present him as a more intelligent creature.
- 52:22Speaker 2: As they work through, it's like there's the paintings on
- 52:24Speaker 2: the walls, which I guess shows he's pretty sophisticated. I mean,
- 52:29Speaker 2: that's what you got from it, right? Yeah, yeah. They
- 52:31Speaker 2: were freshly done, so they were Bigfoot-made paintings.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Well, he wants revenge. So a creature has to have
- 52:38Speaker 3: intelligence to want revenge because an animal is only going
- 52:42Speaker 3: to really attack him. if provoked or if their life
- 52:44Speaker 3: is in danger, they're not going to plot.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like the mother of some protective animal
- 52:51Speaker 2: will attack if you're there currently attacking her children.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:55Speaker 2: But if it's, you know, years later, she's not going
- 52:58Speaker 2: to remember you unless it's the shark from Jaws 4.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, well, there you go. Or, yeah, that's a
- 53:02Speaker 3: good point. Or, you know, if a plane goes down
- 53:04Speaker 3: and accidentally kills one of your offspring, which is what
- 53:07Speaker 3: we're led to believe here, You know, the next group
- 53:10Speaker 3: of people that come in four or five weeks later,
- 53:12Speaker 3: you're not going to take your revenge on them. I mean,
- 53:14Speaker 3: if a creature is that calculating that they're going to
- 53:17Speaker 3: take revenge, then they would be calculating enough to know, possibly,
- 53:21Speaker 3: that those people have nothing to do with it.
- 53:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Well, and it's also, by the end of it, talking
- 53:27Speaker 2: about the black box, I mean, it's smart enough to
- 53:29Speaker 2: understand that that machine they're carrying around basically would out
- 53:33Speaker 2: him to the world, him or her, whatever this thing is.
- 53:36Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever that thing was.
- 53:37Speaker 2: But it realizes that it would basically end up destroying
- 53:42Speaker 2: him or his entire kind once the word got out.
- 53:44Speaker 2: So it's smart enough to know, hey, they can't escape
- 53:47Speaker 2: with that black box. Again, it's kind of weird because
- 53:51Speaker 2: it sets it up like it could have been a
- 53:53Speaker 2: grizzly bear attacking them in the beginning. And then by
- 53:56Speaker 2: the end, we've got this ridiculously intelligent aspect of the
- 54:00Speaker 2: creature that they don't even tap in on. I don't know.
- 54:03Speaker 3: There's a germ of a good idea in this film. Unfortunately,
- 54:05Speaker 3: it's just a germ.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. That part is actually
- 54:09Speaker 2: a really cool idea. And something kind of original in
- 54:13Speaker 2: this type of movie. Because usually it is just a
- 54:16Speaker 2: big dumb creature. So if they could have found a
- 54:19Speaker 2: way that they could have shown that it was kind
- 54:22Speaker 2: of smart and it was actually protecting its own kind,
- 54:25Speaker 2: maybe not in such a ridiculous way, but if it
- 54:28Speaker 2: was smart enough to figure all this out and or
- 54:31Speaker 2: even if it was just like a revenge movie but
- 54:33Speaker 2: set it up a little better but but i like
- 54:35Speaker 2: the way that they they tried to tap into that
- 54:38Speaker 2: and then they just totally like they barely touch on
- 54:41Speaker 2: it so again there's a good idea there that they
- 54:44Speaker 2: never followed through with never so does that about round
- 54:48Speaker 2: out the uh sasquatch.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Here that's all the notes i have on a movie
- 54:51Speaker 3: that doesn't even deserve this much of a conversation.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Probably not Oh, so I guess that rounds out the untold.
- 54:59Speaker 2: So we will take a break and be back with
- 55:01Speaker 2: the rest of the show.
- 55:01Speaker 4: Don't you get what this means?
- 55:03Speaker 5: A hundred years of hoaxes and blurry pictures, and we've
- 55:05Speaker 5: got the first scientific evidence of the Sasquatch's existence.
- 55:09Speaker 4: I mean, a complete genetic breakdown.
- 55:11Speaker 5: This is history, the most important anthropological discovery, like, ever.
- 55:14Speaker 2: And I'm afraid of the hatchet-thrown.
- 55:16Speaker 9: Sasquatch that lives next door.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Little kid. Scary.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Drive away your worries and cares at this drive-in theater
- 55:48Speaker 1: where you will see the finest motion pictures of all
- 55:50Speaker 1: time soon to be released. Drama.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Comedy.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Adventure. Excitement. Something for everyone. Here's a brief glimpse of
- 56:01Speaker 1: some of the truly fine pictures we've scheduled in the
- 56:03Speaker 1: near future.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Hey, man, listen.
- 56:05Speaker 11: They strapped me into this electric chair. And this cat
- 56:08Speaker 11: comes up to me and said, do you want to live?
- 56:10Speaker 11: So you know what I told him. Seems all I
- 56:12Speaker 11: have to do is volunteer for this medical experiment. So
- 56:15Speaker 11: of course I jumped at it. You know, because I'm innocent.
- 56:18Speaker 11: And all I need is a little time to prove it.
- 56:20Speaker 11: So they took me to this doctor's house. And when
- 56:23Speaker 11: I wake up on the table, attached to my body
- 56:26Speaker 11: is a head of a white dude. And he's looking
- 56:28Speaker 11: at me eyeball to eyeball.
- 56:30Speaker 2: So I checked him out.
- 56:32Speaker 11: And by looking at his face, I can tell here
- 56:35Speaker 11: is a bigot. Man, this is one of the funniest
- 56:38Speaker 11: pictures that you ever want to see. I mean, we
- 56:40Speaker 11: go shopping, we chase chicks, we catch a few, we
- 56:43Speaker 11: get chased by the fuzz. If you want to see
- 56:46Speaker 11: one of the funniest pictures in the world, you got
- 56:48Speaker 11: to see The Thing with Two Heads with Ray Moland
- 56:51Speaker 11: and me, Rosie Greer. The Thing with Two Heads, rated PG,

- 57:15Speaker 5: It's part of your.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Problem you know you haven't seen enough movies all of
- 57:19Speaker 1: life's riddles are answered in the movies and now on
- 57:23Speaker 1: with the show.
- 57:49Speaker 2: All right, we are back, and we've got feedback.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Nice.
- 57:53Speaker 2: So we actually, I've been telling people, if you've got
- 57:55Speaker 2: your Bigfoot-related feedback, to just send it in, and we'll
- 57:59Speaker 2: actually just address it next time we come back around
- 58:01Speaker 2: to this. First up, we hear from Greg, and he says,
- 58:06Speaker 2: listen to the show at work today. First of all,
- 58:08Speaker 2: I'd like to give you mad props for the intro, which,
- 58:10Speaker 2: by the way, the intro is an awesome song called
- 58:13Speaker 2: Hatchet the One Sasquatch. which was done many, many years
- 58:16Speaker 2: ago by friends of mine. And sadly, the band is
- 58:19Speaker 2: defunct now, but it's an awesome song and album and.
- 58:24Speaker 3: They do rules.
- 58:24Speaker 2: So I can argue that. But yeah, he thought he
- 58:27Speaker 2: was one of the few handful of people in the
- 58:29Speaker 2: world that can truly appreciate it. But now we can
- 58:32Speaker 2: put it out there and other people can experience it.
- 58:34Speaker 2: But it was funny. But he says, great job on
- 58:38Speaker 2: the special episode. I like the focus and the change
- 58:42Speaker 2: of pace. Good length, great discussion, and a great choice
- 58:45Speaker 2: of subject. He says, I'm looking forward to more in
- 58:48Speaker 2: the Bigfoot series in the future. I really appreciate the
- 58:51Speaker 2: in-depth discussion on the American myth, which we got pretty
- 58:54Speaker 2: far into the American myth on the old Boggy Creek episode.
- 58:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 2: He says, I really do agree with you that it
- 59:00Speaker 2: speaks to our identity as a people. America is a
- 59:02Speaker 2: collective of people that have chosen to be wild, escape, separate, innovate,
- 59:07Speaker 2: and risk. Bigfoot is our myth. good job and good
- 59:11Speaker 2: subject he goes on to say by your description it
- 59:14Speaker 2: appears as though what works in this film is the
- 59:16Speaker 2: oral history legend aspect of it i think all of
- 59:20Speaker 2: us crave those stories especially when some portion of our
- 59:22Speaker 2: dna is related to them tying into what we said
- 59:26Speaker 2: earlier with our little theory on the uh We all
- 59:28Speaker 2: come from the same big species here. He says, Bigfoot
- 59:31Speaker 2: is the last gasp of our manifest destiny. He is
- 59:34Speaker 2: as legendary as Davy Crockett and the like. It is
- 59:37Speaker 2: why we preserve natural areas such as wilderness lands and
- 59:40Speaker 2: national parks, because all we really want and hope is
- 59:43Speaker 2: that it is still out there, and the wild must
- 59:46Speaker 2: still exist for an American heart to retain its freedom. Again,
- 59:50Speaker 2: good subject and good job.
- 59:52Speaker 3: Nice. I was thinking about that. Some of my favorite
- 59:57Speaker 3: things about Well, if there's anything I really liked about
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: this film we just reviewed was the... I always do
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: kind of like when people go out into the woods
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: and they start telling the Bigfoot story. Yeah.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: That's kind of fun.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: I've been at those campfires before. Of course, our generation
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: also got the slasher story.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Yeah, probably the last couple, really.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so they've got the slasher story to go with
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: the Bigfoot story, but I can remember older relatives of
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: mine telling Bigfoot stories when we would be in the
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: woods of Kentucky.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: And there was people out there with big feet, but
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: they were just, you know, mutants who drank too much moonshine.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: There's equally as scary people out there. Probably scarier than Bigfoot, true.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: Yes, that is true. They saw a lot of overalls.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Yes. Bigfoot nowhere else. oh but yeah he just wrapped
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: up with uh saying he says it sounds like there
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: are a few flaws in the film but i wouldn't
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: mind watching it even though he says he doesn't think
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: he can get his wife to watch which i agree
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: knowing what little i know of her she probably won't
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: watch it.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Yeah i don't think anybody's wife would watch this.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: No probably not uh says it's a nice little gym
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: though and he may have to hunt it down so
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: i think that was the foggy creek i would say
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: yeah if you're into it you might want to watch
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: that one I don't know about Sasquatch. If you watch Sasquatch,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: let us know. But that was from Greg. So thank you, Greg.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, Greg. Boggy Creek is, yeah, that's definitely,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Boggy Creek looks like Citizen Kane compared to this film.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: It is a masterpiece compared to this.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Oh, now the only other piece we've got here is
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: actually out of another message that was sent in. And
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: if you listened a while back, you probably heard it
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: thrown in with the rest of them. But I wasn't
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: sure if you'd heard it, Rick. So I thought I
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: would let you listen. This is from Randy, as you
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: well know.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Bigfoot.
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: I totally got your Bigfoot show. Loved hearing, Rick. When
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: I was a kid, I remember seeing the mysterious monsters,
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: and I grew up in the age of Leonard Nimoy
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: and in search of, and I was absolutely sure that
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: my adult world would involve Eastern Island heads and... ufos
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: the loch ness monster and little did i know when
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: i grew up i'd be dealing with management people lawyers
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: and my goddamn.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: Neighbors okay so there we go i love her yes
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: i had her i had heard that before yeah i
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: like that part those are the bigfoots and the aliens
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: of our time Yeah, all.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: The horrors of the real world that are way more
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: frightening than Bigfoot could ever be.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: Well, that's another reason why we need Bigfoot. We need
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Bigfoot to escape and get away from the everyday boredom
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: and tedious lifestyles that we have sometimes.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: We need Bigfoot to bash lawyers over the head. Is
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: that what it's coming down to?
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't know if I've ever actually
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: said this, and I can say it on the show now.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: I mean, I want to believe that Bigfoot exists.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we kind of touched on that last time.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: We're both sort of of the camp that thinks it's
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: definitely a more interesting world to have a Bigfoot in it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: Very much so. I mean, I would very much be
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: very happy, and I said very a lot there, if
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Bigfoot existed. But I'd be afraid if he ever got
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: found because human beings are not the most compassionate when
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: it comes to discovering new creatures or creatures that are
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: near extinct. We tend to destroy the things.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you're out there listening, Bigfoot, we're glad
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: to have you as a listener, but yeah, you might
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: want to keep in hiding.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: Yeah, also update your iTunes, because now the iPad is available,
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: so make sure you update your iTunes.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: That's true. And you can email us, you know, that'd
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: be cool.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: That'd be cool.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Send in a voicemail, like that.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Or just send in some cave drawings.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: So yes, whether you're a Bigfoot or not, feel free
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: to send us some feedback on Bigfoot.
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: Don't.
- 1:03:42Speaker 10: Don't be shy. We'd like to hear from you. So
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: give us a call at 502-365-5565. Or you can email
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: us at geeksatmoviemeltdown.com. And just stop by the website for
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: our frequent updates. That's moviemeltdown.com. And while you're there, click
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: on the forums link and go to our message boards
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: at Pop Syndicate. Or go to popsyndicate.com and go to
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: the forum sections and look for Movie Meltdown.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Oh, but yeah, so keep the Bigfoot feedback coming and
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: we will address it next time out.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Yes, as long as we make the announcement when we're
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: going to do these things. Yeah, I'm sure more and
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: more people are going to. Tune in for some Bigfoot talk.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: There's got to be more Bigfoot fans. Bigfeets.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: At any point. I mean, like I said, the one
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: from Greg earlier actually came in right after the last episode. Nice, nice.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: And I told him, I was like, well, I'm just
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: going to hang on to it. You know, well, next
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: time we sit down, we'll both address it. So, yeah,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: just send him in as soon as you listen to this,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: and we'll just hang on to him until the next
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: time we do another fun-filled Bigfoot episode.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: That sounds like a good idea to me.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: All right. Well, that was it for the feedback, but
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: we've got to move on just to keep people up
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: to date on what we're doing next in our usual fashion. Okay, kids,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: get out your decoder pins. It is time for the
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Movie Meltdown Secret Circle reveal of the next two features.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: I could tell that tonight's message was really important. Which
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: you're invited to join us for either of these.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: You'll probably be overwhelmed with many, many things to do. Yes.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: As will I, but I'm still going to attempt to...
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: even with all this process, I'm trying to keep us
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: on schedule, trying to, uh, get everything together. So we'll
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: be watching in a nice shamble of a theater next week,
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: but next week we'll be watching the Wraith.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: Oh, nice.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Oh, we just got a copy of, uh, the newly
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: remastered or whatever they did to this new version of it. So, yeah.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: Yeah, they remastered it and put a special edition DVD out. Yeah,
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: we covered that a while back. That's great. I'm glad
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: you guys are going to do that. That's awesome.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been one that I haven't watched in years,
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: so I'm kind of interested to go back and take
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: a look at it again.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: Sweet.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: And the following week, if I'm not mistaken, will actually
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: be the week that Kick-Ass is coming out in the theaters.
- 1:05:54Speaker 11: Ooh.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: We're all pretty hyped up to go see basically just Hit-Girl.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Everybody just wants to see Hit Girls.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: So we will once again head out on the town
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: and see a new movie, which I rarely get a
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: chance to do these days, so I'm kind of looking
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: forward to that, too.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's going to be awesome. I can't wait to
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: hear your guys' thoughts on that. I haven't seen it yet,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: so I don't know. If I'm available around that time,
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: I'll contact you and see when you guys go, and
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: maybe I'll go with you. But if not, I will
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: definitely be listening. Definitely.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that should be good. I know Rod's actually already
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: seen it. He saw it when he went to Butnomathon
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: and was just amazed. Like, that was the entire weekend
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: of movies. That was it. Like, it got no better.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: And that was his first viewing of Avatar, too. And
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: he was like, Avatar. He's like, it's all about kick-ass.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: I think kick-ass speaks to a certain kind of movie fan.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: I think that's why it's going to translate well.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's going to work pretty good. So,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to that one. But otherwise, that is
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: the next coming features here.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Sounds good.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Anything else you'd like to say to round this thing out?
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: No, I can say, you know, check out our show.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: This week we're covering, what are we covering? Oh, we're
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: covering Massacre Time, the Lucio Fulci spaghetti western, and a
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: French post-apocalyptic movie known as Mile Evil.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Ah, nice.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Yes, very good stuff.
- 1:07:15Speaker 12: Definitely.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: And the week after that, we're doing a Kurosawa. We're
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: doing a couple Kurosawa films because Will's going to be
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: on vacation. So we're actually going to record four reviews
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: in the morning. That's out of control. As we're recording this,
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: you know, tomorrow we record our show, and we're going
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: to record four reviews.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Good Lord.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: I know. It's going to be a long morning.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd say so. Oh, well, then we will fire
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: up the surprisingly accurate Sasquatch music now and head off
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: down the road.
- 1:07:44Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next time. Well,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: next week, I'll be back regardless. But you'll be back
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: sometime in the near future as well.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: I'm always near.
- 1:07:54Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I'm like Sasquatch.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Your presence is always known. I rarely actually come in
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: contact with you. But I know you're nearby in case
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I need you.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: I'm always watching you, Brian.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Well, that's probably true. But I have to tell you,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: it's pretty boring. I feel sad for you. You should
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: get something more entertaining to do with yourself. Oh. Watching
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: me haul stuff up and down stairs all week. That's
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: what the neighbors have been doing. But otherwise, we will
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: return next week. Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: for listening.
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: Bye.
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: I got lost in a million years of pain.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: Somewhere must have fell.
- 1:08:35Speaker 12: Behind so I ran away.
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: But when how am I still so hard to say?
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Tell me of your.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Yes, I try to hide.
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: So large you can't cover up my trail yes I
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: try to hide though I always fail light of the glen.
- 1:09:01Speaker 12: Or shadow of the hill there is no place God
- 1:09:06Speaker 12: has not moved past since.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: I would like.
- 1:09:13Speaker 12: To know just how the story starts.
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: Tracing back my family tree, six thousand years.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: Ten million years.
- 1:09:22Speaker 8: All these crazy creatures seem to act as if they know.
- 1:09:26Speaker 12: They chase me with black boxes. God bless you. Chase
- 1:10:01Speaker 12: me with their guns. Chase me with imagination just to
- 1:10:07Speaker 12: make it fun. I would like to know just how
- 1:10:55Speaker 12: this story starts. Tracing back my family tree.
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: 6,000 years. All two-faced creatures seem to act as if
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: they know.
- 1:11:07Speaker 12: They chase me with black boxes, chase me with their guns.
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: Chase me with imagination, just to make it fun. I
- 1:11:21Speaker 8: got lost in a million years of pain
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: Oh, that smell isn't my imagination.
