Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: More Mark. Mark Simone. Mr.
- 0:02Speaker 2: New York. Now three hours every weekday from 9 till
- 0:07Speaker 2: noon on 710WOR.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, Jimmy Fallon, the great comedian, brilliant talk show host.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You can hear him every night. It's a wonderful show
- 0:16Speaker 1: here on WOR. Every night, 9 to midnight. You should
- 0:20Speaker 1: be listening. And then on Saturday nights, he does the
- 0:22Speaker 1: best late night show on television. Fox News Channel, Saturday nights,
- 0:26Speaker 1: 10 o'clock. Best monologue in the world anywhere today. And
- 0:30Speaker 1: he's with us now, Jimmy Fallon. How are you doing?
- 0:32Speaker 2: I'm throwing him out the window like Air Force One. Yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 2: we'll work it out.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you were talking to me.
- 0:40Speaker 2: No, come on, Mark Simone. Never. You're allowed to stay
- 0:42Speaker 2: on the plane.
- 0:43Speaker 1: What are you, on another show at the same time?
- 0:46Speaker 2: No, I'm walking around Fox News headquarters. Somebody just asked me,
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm not even kidding, about another radio host out in
- 0:53Speaker 2: the Dakotas that's on my no-fly list right now. It's
- 0:56Speaker 2: good to hear from you.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So, hey, I'm listening to you the other night. Besides
- 1:02Speaker 1: being very funny, you're actually brilliant. You make brilliant points.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You're talking about.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Well, that's the drugs, but go ahead. Thank you.
- 1:10Speaker 1: People yelling about the reflecting pool, the ballroom. And you
- 1:12Speaker 1: pointed out these are like rich white liberals who have
- 1:14Speaker 1: nothing to do all day. It's not like they're hardworking,
- 1:17Speaker 1: normal Americans. And all they do is watch MSNBC and
- 1:20Speaker 1: get riled up, right? I mean, explain those people to us.
- 1:24Speaker 2: This is why– but that is the truth, okay? When
- 1:27Speaker 2: you hear somebody saying, oh, I'm not voting for him,
- 1:30Speaker 2: not after what he did with that arch in downtown Washington, D.C.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm like, what you're really telling us is that life
- 1:38Speaker 2: is going– really well for you. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:42Speaker 2: There's a lot of people, okay, self-hating white people who
- 1:45Speaker 2: live on the Upper West Side of New York. I mean,
- 1:47Speaker 2: I lived there for a long time. I was up
- 1:49Speaker 2: on 102nd and Broadway. And there's a lot of really
- 1:52Speaker 2: prosperous white liberals who hate Donald Trump so they don't
- 1:55Speaker 2: have to look inward at things they hate about themselves. Okay,
- 1:59Speaker 2: it's true. I know this because I used to pick
- 2:01Speaker 2: these people up in my taxi and they'd all dump
- 2:03Speaker 2: all their problems because they think they're never going to
- 2:05Speaker 2: see you again and you become like an affordable therapist.
- 2:08Speaker 2: But everybody listening has a friend who hates Trump and
- 2:12Speaker 2: has to work whatever the negative Trump thing is into
- 2:15Speaker 2: every conversation. You're like, how about the Yankees beating the
- 2:18Speaker 2: Red Sox? They're like, oh, my God, good thing Trump
- 2:20Speaker 2: wasn't there. Am I right? He would have, like, renamed
- 2:23Speaker 2: the stadium or something. It would have been gross. And
- 2:26Speaker 2: you're like, I don't know. I'm just happy. My kid's happy.
- 2:28Speaker 2: The Yankees won. And that's who the Democrats are catering to.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Those people who are, you know, again, supremely successful people.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And they're kids who don't want to do anything, so
- 2:40Speaker 2: they've decided to adopt the mantle of socialism and tell
- 2:43Speaker 2: us they're all social justice warriors here to save the
- 2:46Speaker 2: world from itself. That's who the Democratic Party has become.
- 2:49Speaker 1: But as you point out, there are people that work hard.
- 2:51Speaker 1: They've got two jobs. They're working in a factory. They're
- 2:53Speaker 1: raising kids. They don't have time for this Trump, Adrian.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They're hard working.
- 2:57Speaker 2: No. Listen, Jenny's family, my wife's family, is from Wapakoneta, Ohio.
- 3:02Speaker 2: You know, everyone always asks, how'd you get a wife
- 3:04Speaker 2: so pretty? She grew up on a farm. She has
- 3:06Speaker 2: no idea what her street value is. You know what
- 3:08Speaker 2: I'm saying? She doesn't know how much better she could do.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I married her in farm country. If she had moved
- 3:12Speaker 2: here first, I would have got shut down at the bar.
- 3:14Speaker 2: But that's neither here nor there. The point is, if
- 3:17Speaker 2: you go out to dairy country in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and
- 3:21Speaker 2: tell them about the reflecting pool, dude. I mean, they
- 3:24Speaker 2: know about the football pool, you know, the company office
- 3:27Speaker 2: pool in March. But they don't care about the reflecting
- 3:31Speaker 2: pool or the ballroom. Dude, any rational person knows that
- 3:35Speaker 2: a ballroom means it's going to be used by multiple
- 3:39Speaker 2: generations of people. OK, meaning every president is going to
- 3:42Speaker 2: use it. No one's going to knock it down no
- 3:43Speaker 2: matter what they're telling you. They may take down some
- 3:46Speaker 2: of the gold because we know it's going to look
- 3:48Speaker 2: like Graceland on steroids. But the point is. it doesn't
- 3:51Speaker 2: affect anybody's life. And when the Democrats are campaigning and
- 3:56Speaker 2: devoting so much of their energy to things that don't
- 3:59Speaker 2: affect your life, it becomes really hard to relate to them.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's why if you saw that poll, it's a pretty
- 4:05Speaker 2: good poll yesterday, that to their credit, they reported that 29%
- 4:09Speaker 2: of Americans think the Democratic Party cares about them. I
- 4:12Speaker 2: was like, that actually sounds high if you're paying attention.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Hey, this is fascinating, Jimmy Fallon. Explain that self-hating, these
- 4:20Speaker 1: angry white liberals. They hate Trump because they hate themselves.
- 4:24Speaker 1: How exactly does that work?
- 4:25Speaker 2: You want to know something? There's a lot of people
- 4:27Speaker 2: who are– and this is an interesting story. This goes
- 4:30Speaker 2: back to something I heard in my cab, okay? There's
- 4:34Speaker 2: a lot of people who are unhappy in life. and
- 4:37Speaker 2: think that attaining some measure of success is going to
- 4:41Speaker 2: change everything for them. But what they ultimately come to
- 4:44Speaker 2: realize is when they get richer or they get that
- 4:47Speaker 2: big promotion, they're still the same person. They're just sitting
- 4:51Speaker 2: at home hating themselves on a much nicer couch. And
- 4:56Speaker 2: it's the god's own truth. Believe me, I know a
- 4:58Speaker 2: lot of miserable TV people, and I know a lot
- 5:01Speaker 2: of really happy cab drivers. Because a woman once told
- 5:03Speaker 2: me in my taxi that your attitude... defines your experience.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So if you're a person with a good attitude, you
- 5:09Speaker 2: usually have a pretty good life no matter what the
- 5:11Speaker 2: circumstances look like. But if you're one of those miserable
- 5:14Speaker 2: people by default, okay, that's pretty much going to be
- 5:18Speaker 2: the driving force behind every day. And that's, again, that
- 5:21Speaker 2: is crack psychology that I learned in a taxi. But
- 5:24Speaker 2: that woman, I believed in what she said like so
- 5:27Speaker 2: thoroughly that I've forgiven her for running out on the fair.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, they are miserable. Like you say, you go
- 5:33Speaker 1: to Ohio. How are you doing?
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'm great.
- 5:36Speaker 1: West side of Manhattan. How are you doing? I don't know.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Look, I have a buddy here at Fox. Okay. Here
- 5:45Speaker 2: at Fox, by the way, who absolutely leads every conversation.
- 5:51Speaker 2: with whatever's at the top of the Daily Beast. So
- 5:54Speaker 2: it's literally like, oh, my gosh, did you see J.D.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Vance is going to jail? I'm like, no, and neither
- 5:59Speaker 2: did you. I don't know what you read. I don't
- 6:01Speaker 2: know why you have to share this with me. But
- 6:04Speaker 2: we do this five days a week that I get
- 6:06Speaker 2: this prophecy that never comes true. But the funny thing
- 6:09Speaker 2: is they never revisit the headline. You know, think of
- 6:12Speaker 2: like think of so many things that like remember Russian collusion.
- 6:15Speaker 2: We spent two and a half years on that in
- 6:18Speaker 2: the media. And when it was over, they just moved
- 6:21Speaker 2: on as if they didn't do that to us. Like
- 6:24Speaker 2: Rachel Maddow, he's leaving the White House in handcuffs. We
- 6:29Speaker 2: never even established if he's seen Rocky IV when Trump
- 6:32Speaker 2: fights the Russians.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So this is a brilliant explanation of all of this.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And you're right. One thing about MSNBC, you never get
- 6:45Speaker 1: the real story about it. I'm watching about the hijacking.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It was a Altercation among employees. That's all it was.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's my favorite. Tempers flared to Israel because nobody does
- 7:03Speaker 2: the other thing. Nobody wants to admit that they are
- 7:06Speaker 2: complicit in creating this terrible environment. You know, it's interesting.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know, whenever you hear like another outlet railing against
- 7:15Speaker 2: Fox News, they're like, oh, Fox News disinformation. You know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: it's so dangerous. Fox News didn't push Russian collusion. We
- 7:24Speaker 2: didn't push that the vaccine definitely worked. You know what
- 7:27Speaker 2: I mean? We didn't do the things. They did the things,
- 7:30Speaker 2: and they're the ones inflaming the tensions against Israel, which
- 7:33Speaker 2: is why Fox is picking up so much Jewish viewership.
- 7:36Speaker 2: People realize we're like the only ones sticking up for them.
- 7:39Speaker 2: You know? You're certainly not watching a lot of that
- 7:42Speaker 2: on MSNBC or CNN, and heaven forbid you're throwing on
- 7:45Speaker 2: Miss Rachel. Oh, my goodness. This good guy is crazy.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Now, is some of this Trump's fault? He's not exactly
- 7:53Speaker 1: the most diplomatic guy. He can kind of rile people
- 7:56Speaker 1: up a little, right? I mean, he kind of plays
- 7:59Speaker 1: into it, doesn't he?
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's Trump's thing, though. He is a...
- 8:05Speaker 2: I had a grandma like Trump. She just didn't have
- 8:08Speaker 2: a filter. And it would have helped sometimes. But, you know,
- 8:11Speaker 2: you'd be like, yeah, I didn't see your grandma in
- 8:12Speaker 2: two months. You'd be like, hey, grandma. She'd be like, oh,
- 8:14Speaker 2: you got fat. And you're like, oh, man. Gee. Well,
- 8:18Speaker 2: Merry Christmas, I guess. I don't know what to do here.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I don't start my New Year's resolutions early.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Everybody's got one of those relatives. Hey, big news for
- 8:28Speaker 1: the Democrats. The Iranian Republican Guard endorsed them yesterday. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: actually urged people to vote for them. You think we'll
- 8:35Speaker 1: see that in campaign ads?
- 8:37Speaker 2: This one blew me away. You think you got Iran
- 8:39Speaker 2: and the Democrats. You know, one is famous for chanting
- 8:42Speaker 2: death to America. The other is Iran. You know, what
- 8:45Speaker 2: do we even do here? What do we even do?
- 8:49Speaker 1: So you must be really happy about the Yankees last night.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I got to tell you, man, I had my son
- 8:57Speaker 2: Lincoln came down. He skipped college class. And it was
- 9:01Speaker 2: such an epic moment, you know, last night. The last
- 9:04Speaker 2: two nights in the Bronx, just so incredible. Because the Yankees,
- 9:08Speaker 2: this is the thing, Mark. The Yankees haven't won in
- 9:11Speaker 2: 15 years. So the crowd is really hungry again. And
- 9:15Speaker 2: there's a really good energy. You know, when the Yankees
- 9:18Speaker 2: got so successful by the end of the 90s, it
- 9:20Speaker 2: had become like a celebrity place where you could see
- 9:23Speaker 2: and be seen. You know, like a Lakers game. But
- 9:26Speaker 2: I will tell you, Wednesday night I was there. And
- 9:29Speaker 2: they were like actual fat people sitting behind home plate.
- 9:32Speaker 2: It was amazing. It wasn't Instagram influencers. You know what
- 9:36Speaker 2: I mean? It wasn't some starving model. Look, if the
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yankees keep winning, they're coming back, you know? But for
- 9:41Speaker 2: this first round, it was magical. It felt like 1996 again,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and I loved it so much.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but remember, in 96, they hadn't won in 15 years.
- 9:49Speaker 1: That was like the end of the dry spell. Mm-hmm. Yes,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and it was a big deal. Jimmy Fail is on
- 9:55Speaker 1: every night here. You should listen to him. I listen
- 9:57Speaker 1: to him every night, 9 to midnight. He's on 9
- 9:59Speaker 1: to midnight. And what do you got on tonight's show?
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ooh, we love this one. So, Tudor Dixon is actually
- 10:07Speaker 2: over in Israel. And she was supposed to be flying home,
- 10:11Speaker 2: I guess, yesterday. out of the same airport that wild
- 10:14Speaker 2: flight came flying into after that office disagreement, according to
- 10:19Speaker 2: CNN or whatever the heck they're calling it, after that
- 10:25Speaker 2: plane was rerouted. So we're going to talk to Tudor.
- 10:29Speaker 2: She's on the scene in Israel, and I'm excited to
- 10:32Speaker 2: hear all about it. The story's crazy. If half of
- 10:35Speaker 2: what Trump was saying is true, a plumber was watching
- 10:38Speaker 2: a TV show about airline disasters. I don't know what's
- 10:42Speaker 2: going on, but I hope I can get cast in
- 10:44Speaker 2: one of these movies.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Hey, also, he does the best late-night show on television.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It's on the Fox News Channel, Saturday nights at 10.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And the best monologue in TV. And people can get tickets, right,
- 10:54Speaker 1: if they want to come be in the audience.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yes, the tickets are always free. It's foxacrossamerica.com. We tape
- 11:01Speaker 2: on Friday nights. So if you guys ever want to come, like,
- 11:04Speaker 2: for instance, this weekend, we've got wrestling legend Sergeant Slaughter.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Brian Kilmeade's on. Yeah, the Sarge. Brian Kilmeade's on. My wife,
- 11:13Speaker 2: Jenny Fail, is on this week. You can come meet
- 11:15Speaker 2: Jenny Friday night if you get tickets.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you get to meet everybody. It's a wonderful night.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's free. Bring somebody. Don't tell them you got it
- 11:21Speaker 1: for free. It's a great date night, Friday night. Just
- 11:23Speaker 1: go to foxacrossamerica.com. Get the tickets to be in the
- 11:27Speaker 1: audience at Fox, Fox Across America. Watch Jimmy Fallon tonight
- 11:31Speaker 1: at 9. Listen to him tonight at 9 on WOR.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Jimmy Fallon, brilliant as always. Thanks for being with us.
- 11:39Speaker 2: You're the best, buddy.
- 11:39Speaker 1: See you, Mark. Take care. And don't forget, hey, coming
- 11:42Speaker 1: up at noon, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. Great show.
- 11:46Speaker 1: noon to three, three o'clock. You got the most listened
- 11:48Speaker 1: to radio show in America. Sean Hannity got Jesse Kelly
- 11:52Speaker 1: at six. And as you heard, Jimmy Fela nine o'clock
- 11:55Speaker 1: every weeknight here on seven, 10 W O R.
