- 0:19Speaker 3: Absolutely, you're gonna continue to get the gaslight Turil the gaslight.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, what does that mean?
- 0:24Speaker 3: You can't in gaslighting me with ft chism.
- 0:27Speaker 2: The whole show. I'm sincere. I'm not guessing. I know
- 0:30Speaker 2: you are the original og Christian.
- 0:32Speaker 4: That's right.
- 0:33Speaker 5: I made my bones while Christine was shopping a Lula Levens.
- 0:36Speaker 3: But he took off inso that Mike and Evan on
- 0:39Speaker 3: the pre and postgame show, and so Mike might not
- 0:42Speaker 3: even be.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Able to talk.
- 0:43Speaker 2: You're coming in.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, So this is what happens. The whole show
- 0:46Speaker 3: falls apart. They need multiple people to replace me.
- 0:48Speaker 6: Evan will probably be hilarious in that postgame dynamic.
- 0:51Speaker 2: He's never done the postgame before. Get the other two
- 0:53Speaker 2: his wedding, and the TV don't did not specify what
- 0:58Speaker 2: the others were.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I'm going to peel back there a little bit. He
- 1:01Speaker 3: was in a great mood last week because quote it
- 1:02Speaker 3: was one of the three best days of his life
- 1:04Speaker 3: when he went out and saw the statue.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I think it was the day that he first got
- 1:08Speaker 2: his subscription to pff V from Pittsburgh, says, did Fred
- 1:12Speaker 2: like Frank from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia get diagnosed
- 1:15Speaker 2: with donkey brains when he was younger? Not donkey day.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I have been called an ass.
- 1:19Speaker 4: You know what?
- 1:19Speaker 3: I knew Joe Judge was going to fail as the
- 1:20Speaker 3: Giants head coach when when he said that the name
- 1:23Speaker 3: on the front of the jersey, the.
- 1:25Speaker 6: Name on the back.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Wow, that is profound. This is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by
- 1:31Speaker 2: Toyota's official website for deals by a Toyota dot com.
- 1:37Speaker 2: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:41Speaker 2: at Gillette Stadium, and I can't say the gangs all here,
- 1:46Speaker 2: but Tis is here, Alex is here, I'm here, Matt's
- 1:50Speaker 2: in the booth, and in about oh i'd say fourteen
- 1:54Speaker 2: minutes or so, Deuce is going to be calling in
- 1:56Speaker 2: from Minneapolis to give us his take on what happened
- 2:00Speaker 2: yesterday and get us ready for what's going to happen
- 2:03Speaker 2: today in the second day of joint practices with the
- 2:07Speaker 2: Patriots and the Vikings. So let's uh we can get
- 2:11Speaker 2: right into that. What else are we going to do today?
- 2:15Speaker 2: I forget it was something else. Oh yeah, yeah, we'll
- 2:18Speaker 2: have Mike Rabel live when he starts up at I
- 2:22Speaker 2: think about twelve forty five or so. He's been pretty prompt.
- 2:25Speaker 2: He's not one of those guys that are late for stuff.
- 2:27Speaker 2: He shows right up when he's supposed to show up.
- 2:30Speaker 6: Yep for us, Yeah, easier on his birthday today, on
- 2:34Speaker 6: his birthday, fiftieth birthday.
- 2:36Speaker 7: I didn't realize he was a Leo until last night.
- 2:39Speaker 7: But that's great news for us. Why because just the
- 2:43Speaker 7: personality trait of a Leo, it's very like one. They're
- 2:47Speaker 7: super charismatic and driven, like they can command a room,
- 2:51Speaker 7: really hard working kind of just like I don't know,
- 2:56Speaker 7: you're in a room with a Leo and all the
- 2:59Speaker 7: attention is like usually on.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So what would be a lewd sign? That would be oh,
- 3:02Speaker 2: that's bad Gemini.
- 3:05Speaker 6: Gemini, like a lot of serial killers happened to be Geminis.
- 3:09Speaker 6: Want coach, Well, I'd rather him be a Leo. Like
- 3:12Speaker 6: you know who else was a Leo? Is a Leo?
- 3:15Speaker 6: Tom Brady.
- 3:17Speaker 8: It's just what do you think Rabel's co stars that's today.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Oh we should read we should get that after the break,
- 3:23Speaker 7: But I don't know. They're loyal, determined, really driven, hardworking.
- 3:28Speaker 7: It's a good It's a good sign for a pro
- 3:29Speaker 7: athlete or a coach.
- 3:31Speaker 2: All right, well, we're gonna have Deuce to twelve fifteen,
- 3:33Speaker 2: We're gonna have Mike Rabel live at twelve forty five, uh,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and then us for two hours talking about the Patriots
- 3:41Speaker 2: and whatever. But from what we heard today, and you know,
- 3:46Speaker 2: Deuce had his right up on the defense, Evan had
- 3:49Speaker 2: his right up on the offense. I spoke to them,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I spoke to some other people that were at practice.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I think it was, you know, a toss up in
- 3:58Speaker 2: terms of like, okay, who won practice. I think it's
- 4:00Speaker 2: kind of silly to do that, but I think both
- 4:04Speaker 2: both teams, the Vikings and the Patriots. Uh, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 2: had some good and some bad yesterday, which is which
- 4:11Speaker 2: is good. That's the way you want it. You want
- 4:13Speaker 2: to have a lot of competition, you want to be tested.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I think Flores's defense really tested the Patriots. I think
- 4:19Speaker 2: the Patriots offense tested the Vikings defense. So it was
- 4:24Speaker 2: a good day of practice.
- 4:26Speaker 8: No, it seemed like a lot of haymakers are being
- 4:28Speaker 8: thrown on both sides, which is good because a lot
- 4:30Speaker 8: usually these joint practices are more important than the games
- 4:33Speaker 8: and have a bit more energy. So you like to
- 4:34Speaker 8: hear that.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Yeah, big plays too happening with the offense. I think
- 4:38Speaker 7: Diggs was a full participant yesterday.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Diggs was a full participant. Trevion Henderson showed out. From
- 4:44Speaker 2: what everyone said, Collins had a big play.
- 4:50Speaker 8: After you get to get the energy up.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I love that the Old line had mixed reviews, but
- 4:56Speaker 2: I think from people that I talked to that were there,
- 5:00Speaker 2: they said it was a good day for the Old line,
- 5:02Speaker 2: like they learned as they went. They got better as
- 5:05Speaker 2: the day went. You know. I'm including Campbell and that
- 5:08Speaker 2: of course, but the Old line, you know, had some
- 5:11Speaker 2: wins and losses. When they had seven on seven, eleven
- 5:14Speaker 2: on eleven, I mean one on ones and then seven
- 5:16Speaker 2: on sevens. Then when they got to eleven eleven, they
- 5:19Speaker 2: seem to improve a little bit more. They definitely showed
- 5:23Speaker 2: the same willingness to block for running that they have
- 5:27Speaker 2: throughout the summer. This is going to be a good
- 5:30Speaker 2: run blocking team, I think, so, you know, and that's
- 5:32Speaker 2: going to help the pass game. Yeah, you know, I
- 5:35Speaker 2: despite what Paul says, if the threat of the run
- 5:39Speaker 2: is there and the threat of the run to run
- 5:41Speaker 2: well is there, it puts defenses on their heels. They
- 5:45Speaker 2: have to defend both. And that's a good thing for
- 5:47Speaker 2: May in the passage.
- 5:48Speaker 7: Game for sure, especially because we do have such a
- 5:51Speaker 7: strong running back group that depending on what personnel they're using,
- 5:55Speaker 7: you you really don't know who's going to come at you.
- 5:57Speaker 7: And Henderson has so much promise, so, like you said,
- 6:01Speaker 7: just it brings every other level.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Of the game up.
- 6:05Speaker 8: I mean, Henderson's been playing to the point where the
- 6:07Speaker 8: Vikings beat has been like they got they got something
- 6:09Speaker 8: special there. So I'm really excited to see what he
- 6:11Speaker 8: brings us here.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Remandre did not practice yesterday. Hunter Henry didn't practice, Born
- 6:18Speaker 2: didn't practice, Poke didn't practice. Who else I think other
- 6:24Speaker 2: than that, I think, you.
- 6:24Speaker 6: Know, yeah, I think Carlton Davis was back.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, Davis was bad Gonzo obviously he's still not practicing.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Obarmore I think did not.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Obarmour didn't believe today, right, Yeah, yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 6: So that's I mean, just based on what we read
- 6:38Speaker 6: about practice his so obviously we weren't there to see it.
- 6:40Speaker 6: But a practice out Barmore and Gonzo and the defense
- 6:43Speaker 6: still held up pretty well. You got to feel good
- 6:45Speaker 6: about that.
- 6:46Speaker 8: We'll hear from do something that too.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, of course we will. So today will be a
- 6:50Speaker 2: big day. One of the questions I want to ask
- 6:52Speaker 2: Douce is were there any flare ups? You know, even
- 6:56Speaker 2: if there wasn't all out of fight, we would have
- 6:57Speaker 2: heard about it. But even just a little bit of
- 6:59Speaker 2: pushing and shoving, because sometimes those things carry over today too.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So I just want to get a sense of if
- 7:06Speaker 2: there might be any bad blood going into day too
- 7:08Speaker 2: that they have to look out for. So we'll hear
- 7:13Speaker 2: from Deuce on that in a few moments, as well
- 7:16Speaker 2: as Mike Vrabel at twelve forty five. So other than that,
- 7:22Speaker 2: Mike Vrabel's birthday today, we talked about that. He'll be
- 7:25Speaker 2: he's fifty. Leo, you know that's a good thing.
- 7:31Speaker 8: Jumb year.
- 7:32Speaker 6: What are you guys?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'm cancer?
- 7:34Speaker 6: Okay, were both cancers?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:37Speaker 6: You Libra, there you go all about balance.
- 7:42Speaker 2: It's nonsense, all that zodiac stuff.
- 7:45Speaker 7: That's not maybe, but I don't know, a lot of
- 7:48Speaker 7: ancient civilizations really put a lot of emphasis into the
- 7:51Speaker 7: stars and.
- 7:52Speaker 2: What They also put emphasis on human sacrifices. So I mean, like,
- 7:55Speaker 2: you know, what are we doing?
- 7:57Speaker 1: All right too?
- 7:57Speaker 6: Chet, I don't really have a comeback for that one.
- 8:00Speaker 2: We trablism, you know, well, well, listen, I understand like
- 8:05Speaker 2: the moon and the stars and you know the planet,
- 8:09Speaker 2: and we're mostly water, so why wouldn't that affect us?
- 8:12Speaker 2: But you know, when we're born, we're just little things.
- 8:17Speaker 8: Oh so you're gonna be the mom when your son
- 8:20Speaker 8: comes home and he's like, mom, when was I born?
- 8:22Speaker 8: And you're like, stop talking to her.
- 8:24Speaker 6: No, I'll support it. It sounds like you have a
- 8:27Speaker 6: really intuitive woman interested in you.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Oh, Deuce is ready.
- 8:32Speaker 6: It's like, thank god, all right, well.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Let's let's bring Deuce up. Are we gonna see?
- 8:38Speaker 9: There he is?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Deuce?
- 8:40Speaker 10: Hey, fellas, ladies, lady.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Sounds like, first off, let's see is there any delay
- 8:49Speaker 2: in so that we can set up for that? No delay? Okay, okay,
- 8:54Speaker 2: sounds good Deuce. Well, Deuce, let's get right into it.
- 8:57Speaker 2: We read your right up on the defense, evans right
- 9:01Speaker 2: up on the offense. But you know, give us your
- 9:04Speaker 2: synopsis on how the day went yesterday.
- 9:08Speaker 10: I'll start with the defense.
- 9:09Speaker 11: Just since that was where I walked in on.
- 9:12Speaker 10: I thought they had a pretty good day. The Hawkinson,
- 9:15Speaker 10: the tight.
- 9:16Speaker 11: End, had a few catches, a little bit of an
- 9:18Speaker 11: issue from their commander's practice last week, something to watch.
- 9:21Speaker 11: Maybe they got him on a screen pass as well
- 9:25Speaker 11: that went pretty far, that caught him on a blitz.
- 9:28Speaker 10: But otherwise I thought the pressure was really good.
- 9:31Speaker 11: I thought the number of different guys showing up, you know,
- 9:34Speaker 11: even without Gonzo out there, Calton Davis a little bit limited,
- 9:38Speaker 11: some of the younger guys Alex Austin continuing to stand out.
- 9:42Speaker 10: So it was a good day for the defense.
- 9:44Speaker 11: I thought, you know, JJ McCarthy, they got a field
- 9:47Speaker 11: goal at the end of the competitive period, so you'd
- 9:50Speaker 11: love to see them be able to close that out.
- 9:52Speaker 12: They got to a fourth and five send it all
- 9:54Speaker 12: out blitz, so McCarthy got.
- 9:57Speaker 10: Him on that one little little dump off.
- 10:00Speaker 11: But otherwise they were good and and offensively back and forth.
- 10:04Speaker 10: You know, there's definitely pressure.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Well before we get into offense, I want to finish
- 10:08Speaker 2: up on defense. You said that, you know, Patriots were
- 10:10Speaker 2: able to get some pressure. Barmore did not practice yesterday,
- 10:14Speaker 2: is that correct? Correct? So was Chasing notable, you know, uh,
- 10:21Speaker 2: all of them.
- 10:22Speaker 11: I mean, Chase On, Landry Uhlan Williams was in there
- 10:26Speaker 11: as well, Robert Splain all over.
- 10:29Speaker 10: The place as usual.
- 10:30Speaker 11: It was just great to see all those guys showing
- 10:32Speaker 11: up and Chase On even Christian Ellis knifing.
- 10:37Speaker 10: Through getting some tackles.
- 10:38Speaker 11: So just a lot of different guys making plays yesterday
- 10:41Speaker 11: and that was what was encouraging.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Okay, so now let's go over to the offense.
- 10:45Speaker 12: Yeah, so I think as as Evan wrote we talked
- 10:47Speaker 12: about in our wrap up, there was some pressure. Sure,
- 10:50Speaker 12: there was some, but otherwise Drake stood tall, made some
- 10:54Speaker 12: plays downfield.
- 10:56Speaker 10: You saw Mac Collins schemed open.
- 10:59Speaker 13: You know, it's just you could tell yesterday I felt
- 11:01Speaker 13: like there was maybe a focus on trying to push
- 11:04Speaker 13: the ball down the field, even in seven on seven,
- 11:07Speaker 13: and that's a big thing that we've been kind of
- 11:08Speaker 13: waiting to see from this offense.
- 11:10Speaker 12: So I was encouraged by yesterday.
- 11:13Speaker 10: Well today they're going to go into the red zone.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I mean with the team with a heavy blitz team
- 11:17Speaker 2: or you know, a heavy pressure team, that's the way
- 11:19Speaker 2: to you know, make them pay is to hit them
- 11:23Speaker 2: with big plays and keep them honest.
- 11:27Speaker 10: And that's the thing we haven't seen.
- 11:28Speaker 14: And you know, I know that there's been some concern
- 11:31Speaker 14: with these competitive periods. They've ended a lot of them
- 11:34Speaker 14: and Dake may turnovers that were you know, sputtered out,
- 11:38Speaker 14: so that yesterday, second down they hit Travon Henderson.
- 11:41Speaker 10: I'm sure you guys saw that that play to finish
- 11:43Speaker 10: it out. So you had to say who won the practice? Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 10: I say the Patriots. They got a touchdown, they held
- 11:49Speaker 10: the Vikings two three. So I found it to be
- 11:51Speaker 10: an encouraging day. But today it's going to get tougher
- 11:53Speaker 10: in the red zone and I think we'll learn a lot.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Right now, I heard I've talked to somebody who was
- 11:57Speaker 2: there who said that the offensive line tech, you know,
- 12:01Speaker 2: look pretty good and got better as the practice went on.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Would you agree with that?
- 12:06Speaker 12: I mean, to be honest, for I'd have to go
- 12:08Speaker 12: on what I talked to Evan about because I wasn't
- 12:10Speaker 12: locked in on the offensive line as much as as
- 12:12Speaker 12: he was.
- 12:13Speaker 10: And that was the general takeaway he had.
- 12:15Speaker 11: Socially, he thought Will and the young guys were good
- 12:18Speaker 11: in the individual drills, and there were there were issues
- 12:21Speaker 11: with you know, Jonathan Greener is.
- 12:22Speaker 10: Really good player.
- 12:23Speaker 11: So given what I was expecting, I thought Patriots might
- 12:28Speaker 11: have a real tough time.
- 12:29Speaker 10: But I thought that they hold up pretty well. Banking's
- 12:33Speaker 10: made some place, but the Patriots got their punches into.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Where is Evan?
- 12:37Speaker 10: Oh, he's down, He's down yonder.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Somewhere, so he can do clinics and everybody else, but
- 12:42Speaker 2: he can't do this.
- 12:44Speaker 11: I just thought to be too hard with, you know,
- 12:46Speaker 11: passing my earphones back and forth, and I'm next time, I'll.
- 12:49Speaker 12: Bring my little mini mic my, my little mini mic
- 12:51Speaker 12: stand so I don't have to hold it here.
- 12:52Speaker 6: I was gonna say, you should have borrowed Mike Greece's
- 12:55Speaker 6: tripod or something.
- 12:56Speaker 11: I should have brought it. You can see the great
- 12:58Speaker 11: facility though. Everyone's really nic I've never been to Minnesota before.
- 13:02Speaker 11: People are very friendly here, just everywhere you walk in,
- 13:05Speaker 11: welcome back, great to see you, Like, are you sure?
- 13:07Speaker 10: So?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Speaking of the facility, did you guys were able to
- 13:10Speaker 2: take a tour or did you get inside of it?
- 13:13Speaker 15: Like?
- 13:13Speaker 2: What does it look like? Really?
- 13:14Speaker 14: No?
- 13:14Speaker 12: I think I think some of the outside media did
- 13:17Speaker 12: actually take a tour of it earlier.
- 13:18Speaker 10: We were not part of that.
- 13:20Speaker 11: So we've only really seen the fields, but they have
- 13:21Speaker 11: a really nice indoor field where they did the special
- 13:24Speaker 11: Olympics thing yesterday with Drake.
- 13:28Speaker 10: That's a really nice spot.
- 13:28Speaker 12: And then they have four fields here in back of me,
- 13:30Speaker 12: so it's a it's a good spot.
- 13:32Speaker 2: It looks pretty overcast and windy. Is that is that?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Is that a fact?
- 13:37Speaker 8: That is?
- 13:38Speaker 10: I think it'll be nice, nice today, better than yesterday.
- 13:40Speaker 11: It wasn't quite as hot as it's been at our
- 13:42Speaker 11: training camp, so I'm looking forward to a little windy
- 13:44Speaker 11: and cloudy, no no sun beating down on us.
- 13:46Speaker 10: Hopefully it makes for some good football.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Okay, so you're saying that, do you look for You
- 13:50Speaker 2: think there's gonna be a lot of red zone work today?
- 13:53Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what Vrabel said yesterday, and yeah, a lot
- 13:55Speaker 12: of competitive periods.
- 13:57Speaker 10: So I'm excited. I'll be focusing on a d again
- 14:00Speaker 10: for you guys.
- 14:01Speaker 8: Don't worry.
- 14:02Speaker 2: How have the eats been? Where have you been eating?
- 14:05Speaker 16: Oh?
- 14:05Speaker 10: It's pretty low key.
- 14:06Speaker 11: We did, you know, we did a team dinner both
- 14:09Speaker 11: last night, so we all kind of went out, so
- 14:11Speaker 11: nothing too crazy. I mean, we did have Jersey Mike's
- 14:14Speaker 11: shout out to you know, our guys here who went and.
- 14:16Speaker 10: Got jersey mikes for us.
- 14:17Speaker 1: That was huge.
- 14:18Speaker 11: But otherwise just grabbing food at the hotel walking over here,
- 14:21Speaker 11: and uh, you know, I think I'm gonna go out
- 14:22Speaker 11: with a friend tonight, so maybe i'll see, maybe I'll
- 14:24Speaker 11: get to try one of these burgers.
- 14:26Speaker 10: If you hear about these burgers, there's like cheese in
- 14:27Speaker 10: the middle. I forget Louis or something like that, gooey louis,
- 14:30Speaker 10: something like. People are telling me that's what you need
- 14:33Speaker 10: to get special burger here.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I have had the cheese curds and they're they're really good.
- 14:38Speaker 10: I've had some cheese curds. We have had the curds.
- 14:41Speaker 6: We are speculating. We're speculating, Matt. Uh, we're speculating that
- 14:47Speaker 6: that's why Evan wasn't here with you, because he maybe
- 14:49Speaker 6: tried a cheese curd trauma.
- 14:51Speaker 11: No, No, he runs the other way when he sees
- 14:54Speaker 11: the cheese.
- 14:56Speaker 2: All right, Well, we'll let you get prepared for practice.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Practice starts at one o'clock our time, noon your time.
- 15:04Speaker 11: Yeah, you have two hour session and yeah, we get
- 15:06Speaker 11: ready to get a strong finish and set the stage
- 15:09Speaker 11: for Saturday.
- 15:09Speaker 2: All right, Well, and then you'll be coming back to
- 15:12Speaker 2: get ready for the post the pre and postgame show
- 15:15Speaker 2: on Saturday. Evan will be coming back to with you.
- 15:18Speaker 2: He'll be debuting his first pre and postgame show. Uh
- 15:23Speaker 2: so not only Evan Matis is already here, but so
- 15:35Speaker 2: that'll be fun on on Saturday. So I have a
- 15:38Speaker 2: good practice today and our past will be crossing tomorrow.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I'll be coming in when you're going out. So all right,
- 15:46Speaker 2: thanks du All right do signing off from Minnesota. Yeah
- 15:51Speaker 2: it does look a little overcast there.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, keep it, keep it clean. I was excited
- 15:56Speaker 8: to hear that seemed like the patch were pushing the
- 15:58Speaker 8: ball down the field though, because you see a lot
- 16:00Speaker 8: of these screen passes and you can only get so
- 16:02Speaker 8: much in training campus they're not really hitting. But good
- 16:04Speaker 8: to see the deep ball come back.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Well, you know, when when a team's putting that type
- 16:08Speaker 2: of pressure on you, you got to go over the
- 16:10Speaker 2: top sometimes and just you know, keep them honest.
- 16:13Speaker 7: If Evan were here too, I would be curious about
- 16:16Speaker 7: the pressure, like, are is our O line just totally
- 16:19Speaker 7: getting manhandled or did it look like more scheme?
- 16:22Speaker 6: And then they started to figure it out as they Oh.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I think that's exactly what was happening. You know, like
- 16:28Speaker 2: I said, from somebody who was there who I talked to,
- 16:31Speaker 2: they said, technically, you know, like you know what they
- 16:34Speaker 2: were doing with their hands and their feet and getting
- 16:36Speaker 2: you know, it looked good. It was just there was
- 16:38Speaker 2: a lot of stuff that we saw on that one
- 16:41Speaker 2: play the other night in the in the actual preseason game,
- 16:45Speaker 2: where you know, communication needs to be just Yeah, and
- 16:49Speaker 2: you've got two rookies on the left side and a
- 16:53Speaker 2: center who is you know, new to everything we're doing here,
- 16:58Speaker 2: so you're gonna you know, now's the time to start
- 17:01Speaker 2: doing that.
- 17:02Speaker 8: No, agree, And also even the big play with Diggs,
- 17:05Speaker 8: the one that's going viral, like look key, that was
- 17:07Speaker 8: a sack, like Drake rolls out but he still got
- 17:10Speaker 8: the pass off. But you just want to see the
- 17:11Speaker 8: progression and that's what these practices are for.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and you wouldn't call it in the game the
- 17:15Speaker 2: way you're calling it. You know, like if you decided
- 17:19Speaker 2: you're going to do something, you're going to continue doing
- 17:22Speaker 2: it even if it looks like you know they're getting
- 17:24Speaker 2: some pressure. You know, you're gonna work on what you're
- 17:28Speaker 2: going to work on. But like I said everybody I've
- 17:31Speaker 2: talked to, I've tried to even it out, and I
- 17:34Speaker 2: think it was a good practice for both teams. You know,
- 17:39Speaker 2: they got a lot done and to that point, depending
- 17:42Speaker 2: on what they get done today, if they accomplish the mission,
- 17:47Speaker 2: we may not see a lot of starters on Saturday.
- 17:50Speaker 8: I'm okay with you know, I like to see the
- 17:52Speaker 8: starters maybe get one drive, but I'm fine with them
- 17:55Speaker 8: not playing if these are your guys.
- 17:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I think there's just so much competition on the
- 18:00Speaker 7: team right now that that's the stuff you got to focus.
- 18:02Speaker 6: On sorting out now. I think at this point, what
- 18:04Speaker 6: we're three.
- 18:05Speaker 7: Weeks into this, the guys are in shape, the guys
- 18:07Speaker 7: are back in that routine of coming to practice and
- 18:11Speaker 7: working out every day, and at this point, just see
- 18:15Speaker 7: how the roster shakes out, yep.
- 18:17Speaker 2: And then it'll be a quick turnaround. So you got
- 18:19Speaker 2: the game on Saturday, next game or preseason I hate
- 18:23Speaker 2: calling them games. But the next thing will be against
- 18:28Speaker 2: the Giants on Thursdays, so that's a quick turnaround.
- 18:30Speaker 8: You got to think none of the starters are playing
- 18:32Speaker 8: in that ye.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Travel day on Wednesday, so they'll get here late on
- 18:37Speaker 2: Saturday night, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and then they're on the
- 18:40Speaker 2: road again on Wednesday.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Fortunately short trip just to New York yep, yep.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Then it's the real thing, New Jersey, and then it's
- 18:47Speaker 2: the real thing. Then a little bit of a break,
- 18:50Speaker 2: kind of a mini buy, and then you've got the
- 18:52Speaker 2: real thing against the Raiders.
- 18:53Speaker 7: So that week between that last preseason game and Week
- 18:57Speaker 7: one always feels so weird because I feel like any
- 19:00Speaker 7: camp stops, starts and we're going NonStop, and then it's like, oh, wait,
- 19:04Speaker 7: we haven't mad.
- 19:04Speaker 8: But there used to be the game, right there used
- 19:06Speaker 8: to be a game, Labor day weekend. There used to
- 19:08Speaker 8: be four preseason.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Years ago there was a labor day, but they stopped
- 19:11Speaker 2: doing that. No, it was longer than that. I think
- 19:16Speaker 2: I was here for one really preseason. Maybe maybe I
- 19:19Speaker 2: thought it was longer than four years ago.
- 19:21Speaker 8: All starting to blend together.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well, I think I think what you might
- 19:28Speaker 2: be thinking about is there used to be the four
- 19:31Speaker 2: preseason games weren't too long ago, and so that would
- 19:35Speaker 2: extend the preseason a little bit, so it didn't seem
- 19:37Speaker 2: as long between the last one. Yeah, So anyway, yeah,
- 19:44Speaker 2: it won't be long before there's only two preason games.
- 19:46Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean checks out. The first one is great because,
- 19:49Speaker 8: like you do need your quarterback to like kind of
- 19:51Speaker 8: actually feel the pressure, have like the real reps. The
- 19:54Speaker 8: second one you're in this situation where if they practiced well.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Today, they might not go in.
- 19:58Speaker 8: And then the third one ye doing so.
- 20:01Speaker 2: A lot of people ask, you know, why aren't you
- 20:03Speaker 2: streaming the joint practice live? Why? Why not? And believe me,
- 20:07Speaker 2: if we could, we would, And I asked somebody in
- 20:11Speaker 2: the know, like, why doesn't the league mandate that all
- 20:15Speaker 2: teams that have joint practices have to stream it live?
- 20:17Speaker 2: It would be just good for the fans. It's actually
- 20:20Speaker 2: better content than the preseason games. And the reason why
- 20:24Speaker 2: it's a competition and fairness issue. Right now, not every
- 20:27Speaker 2: team is doing a joint practice, which crazy. Yeah, so
- 20:30Speaker 2: some teams would be having to stream it, while other
- 20:34Speaker 2: teams you know, don't have to stream their practice because
- 20:37Speaker 2: you know, leave left to the coaches. They don't want
- 20:39Speaker 2: to stream. They think it makes it too easy for
- 20:42Speaker 2: other teams to scout you if you're streaming the practice.
- 20:47Speaker 2: But I think with the joints, I think it'll come
- 20:49Speaker 2: point when it gets down to two preseason games for everybody,
- 20:54Speaker 2: joint practices will kind of be a must, and I
- 20:57Speaker 2: think at that point the league will tell teams, yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 2: you've got to stream these out, you know. So are
- 21:01Speaker 2: there any teams that don't do joint practices? Oh yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: not every team this year had joint practice.
- 21:06Speaker 6: Well, it's gotten so chippy in recent years. Well, the
- 21:10Speaker 6: Panthers were here and we had so many fights. I know,
- 21:13Speaker 6: we we'll so hanceled it.
- 21:14Speaker 2: It's that, but it's also just logistics. Teams just they
- 21:18Speaker 2: just can't work it out or you know, you have
- 21:20Speaker 2: to have a good relationship with a team to have
- 21:22Speaker 2: a joint practice. You know, the two coaches need to
- 21:25Speaker 2: work know each other kind of and trust each other,
- 21:28Speaker 2: and you know, sometimes it just doesn't work for all teams.
- 21:32Speaker 8: Yeah, they can't be in your division or conference.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Right right, Well, you wouldn't have a preason game against
- 21:38Speaker 2: them anyway. That's pretty rare.
- 21:41Speaker 1: You know.
- 21:41Speaker 2: We've had preseasons where we've had a preseason game against
- 21:45Speaker 2: a team that we played in the regular season. That's
- 21:48Speaker 2: happened a few times. But you never have a game
- 21:53Speaker 2: against a FC East. Yeah. No, that's what I'm saying
- 21:56Speaker 2: you never do that, but we do giants this here twice.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we've always done the giants.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:01Speaker 2: So but I think, like I said, I think there
- 22:04Speaker 2: will come a day where these joint practices are teams
- 22:08Speaker 2: are told by the league you have to stream them
- 22:10Speaker 2: out or.
- 22:12Speaker 6: We'll probably be starting in early July.
- 22:15Speaker 2: You know, I could I could see like structuring it
- 22:19Speaker 2: so that okay, the real important stuff you don't have
- 22:23Speaker 2: to stream it live. But maybe there's a section at
- 22:25Speaker 2: the end where it's just kind of a mini game
- 22:29Speaker 2: where you have to stream that out.
- 22:31Speaker 7: But then at that point does it even become useful
- 22:34Speaker 7: and as productive as it could be to have the
- 22:36Speaker 7: joint practice if you don't really want to, if you're
- 22:38Speaker 7: worried about what you're showing on film.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Well, well, I hear what you're saying. But again, like
- 22:46Speaker 2: part of the joint practice, besides like getting complex and
- 22:49Speaker 2: with your schemes and everything, is just seeing the matchups,
- 22:53Speaker 2: having your guys match up against their best guys and
- 22:55Speaker 2: see how they do. So it's not always like you know,
- 23:00Speaker 2: working out all the kinks in your playbook. But like
- 23:03Speaker 2: I laugh at it, you know, because the argument against
- 23:07Speaker 2: selling tickets for training camp practices. Is like, oh, once
- 23:11Speaker 2: you start selling tickets, teams will be able to scout.
- 23:14Speaker 2: You like, their scout would be able to buy a
- 23:16Speaker 2: ticket and be able to come to the practice. What's
- 23:19Speaker 2: stopping them now? Yeah, like I.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Know, like it's three now, an it's easier.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like ethically, you know, you can't do it if
- 23:27Speaker 2: it's free, but you could. Why Like just some guy
- 23:32Speaker 2: brings his kid and but he works for the Seahawks
- 23:35Speaker 2: or whatever, and he's the area of scout and he's
- 23:38Speaker 2: but he.
- 23:39Speaker 6: Has his four year old with him, so he's like undercover.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I was just.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Like, just have closed practices, mandate joint practices, and make
- 23:45Speaker 8: one of them closed.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:48Speaker 7: Well, it's like they try to tell fans to like
- 23:50Speaker 7: no recording, it's going to happen, and it's so hard
- 23:53Speaker 7: to enforce because everyone out there has a camp, but
- 23:57Speaker 7: even the kids have iPhones.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Like some guy that kind of works for the team,
- 24:00Speaker 2: he's nondescript. People don't know him. He's not in the media. Guy,
- 24:04Speaker 2: you don't know his face. He's just sitting there taking
- 24:06Speaker 2: notes on his phone. How do you help? How do
- 24:08Speaker 2: you know what he's doing? He could be texting a friend.
- 24:11Speaker 2: You don't have to be videotaping. This guy knows what
- 24:14Speaker 2: he's looking at.
- 24:15Speaker 15: Me.
- 24:16Speaker 7: You have fans out there tweeting practice reports just from
- 24:19Speaker 7: being joint practices.
- 24:21Speaker 6: I was like, who is this?
- 24:22Speaker 7: Is this like a reporter I'm not familiar with on
- 24:24Speaker 7: the beat, and like, no, it's a random fan.
- 24:26Speaker 2: But what I think they're really looking at is like
- 24:29Speaker 2: who's lining up where? You know, average fans aren't doing that,
- 24:32Speaker 2: but a guy can be taking notes. I'm sure it's.
- 24:36Speaker 6: Happening, lineups, looking at like little tendencies, snap stuff motions.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure that it's happening now, you know, too
- 24:44Speaker 2: easy to note, Like it's free, you know. I guess
- 24:48Speaker 2: if you're not doing it as a team, then you
- 24:51Speaker 2: probably should be, you know that.
- 24:53Speaker 8: Yeah, they just go to DraftKings, get some tends and
- 24:56Speaker 8: write down our schemes.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe there's a ru is a written
- 25:00Speaker 2: rule and if you did get caught doing that, then
- 25:03Speaker 2: it would be a major fine. I don't know. I
- 25:05Speaker 2: don't know.
- 25:06Speaker 7: Well, even if just a rumor of it got into
- 25:09Speaker 7: the media for a team and be just are cheating
- 25:13Speaker 7: scandals and it would just get ran with.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I mean once the season starts, advanced scouts watch all
- 25:21Speaker 2: our games anyway, you know, don't you think you get
- 25:23Speaker 2: more out of that than a random practice. I don't know.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Sometimes they think we overthink it. But bottom line is
- 25:30Speaker 2: the day will come when you will be able to
- 25:32Speaker 2: watch these joint practices in full. I think, just like
- 25:35Speaker 2: I was right about the seventy yard field goal mostly right,
- 25:41Speaker 2: do you think it's gonna happen in season? What seventy yard?
- 25:44Speaker 2: Like officially in season? Because he said this one didn't come. Oh,
- 25:46Speaker 2: eventually it will. I don't know about this season, but
- 25:48Speaker 2: in the near future it absolutely will. You know, maybe
- 25:52Speaker 2: might be the first. Now, the situation has to be right,
- 25:54Speaker 2: because you know, you're a team and you have a
- 25:58Speaker 2: seven yard field goal, Like if you said.
- 26:00Speaker 8: You're gonna give the other team Cowboys tried last year.
- 26:02Speaker 8: It was like second quarter expiring and.
- 26:05Speaker 2: He was cleol. Yeah, I think the situation has to
- 26:07Speaker 2: be right. I think they're gonna weigh the downside, like
- 26:11Speaker 2: you don't want to give the other team such good
- 26:13Speaker 2: field position. But like you said, yeah, the last play of.
- 26:16Speaker 7: A time is inspiring in the half and it's like Okay,
- 26:19Speaker 7: we could try a hail Mary or just rip it,
- 26:22Speaker 7: you know.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Absolutely, so it'll happen in the regular season. All right,
- 26:27Speaker 2: let's go to the hotline as we wait for Mike Rabel.
- 26:31Speaker 2: He's going to be coming up in about ten, about
- 26:34Speaker 2: fifteen minutes, nineteen twenty fifteen, twenty minutes. So let's go
- 26:39Speaker 2: to the phones eight five to five, pats five hundred.
- 26:41Speaker 2: We'll start with Nate and Connecticut. What's up, Nate?
- 26:45Speaker 15: Guy?
- 26:45Speaker 2: It good? How are you good?
- 26:48Speaker 15: Doing good? So I'll try and keep this quick, but
- 26:52Speaker 15: I just had two quick questions. So first off, it's
- 26:55Speaker 15: about Matt Collins. What do you think his role is
- 26:59Speaker 15: going to be for you gonna need that big acts,
- 27:03Speaker 15: go them down? Or is he just gonna, you know,
- 27:05Speaker 15: keep it relatively short, uh, sort of like a slot maybe.
- 27:10Speaker 15: And my second question is about Kyle Dugger. Do you
- 27:14Speaker 15: have any idea on what's happening to him? Says I guess, Uh,
- 27:18Speaker 15: he got died from Moods to the second team, I heard,
- 27:22Speaker 15: or he just hasn't been performing as well in practice,
- 27:25Speaker 15: and I don't I don't like that. We need we
- 27:28Speaker 15: need the real Kyle Dugger to come back. But thanks guy.
- 27:31Speaker 2: All right, Well, that's the thing is who is the
- 27:34Speaker 2: real Kyle Dugger? You know two years ago or last year. Now,
- 27:37Speaker 2: last year he was banged up, but I think in
- 27:39Speaker 2: this defense, I think he might be redundant to Peppers,
- 27:43Speaker 2: you know. So they're they're looking to see who can
- 27:46Speaker 2: be more of that free safety rather than having two
- 27:49Speaker 2: strong safeties. And you know, Pepper's right now, I think
- 27:52Speaker 2: is playing better than Doug Er. So he's the first
- 27:55Speaker 2: man up, I mean, the you know, the starter there,
- 27:58Speaker 2: and then I'm thinking they're trying to figure out who,
- 28:00Speaker 2: you know, among the other guys can be more the
- 28:02Speaker 2: free safety. So I think right now it's it's just
- 28:06Speaker 2: a different style of how they want to handle the
- 28:08Speaker 2: safety position.
- 28:09Speaker 7: It's interesting too, because I know when Rabel first signed on,
- 28:13Speaker 7: we were talking like, Okay, we have all these guys
- 28:15Speaker 7: we just re upped on contracts that are mainstays on
- 28:18Speaker 7: this defense, but where are they going to fit into
- 28:20Speaker 7: the scheme like Tavai and some of the Jennings. Is
- 28:24Speaker 7: when we bring up all the time, But I don't
- 28:26Speaker 7: think Dugger was a name we were really speculating on.
- 28:31Speaker 7: When the news broke that Vrabel was coming in and
- 28:33Speaker 7: bringing this new defensive scheme. So to see it play
- 28:35Speaker 7: out like this and training camp is kind of interesting
- 28:38Speaker 7: because it's like, Okay, his last like really good year
- 28:41Speaker 7: I think was with Bill Yeah, and also was it
- 28:45Speaker 7: mccordy still here at that point, So last year was
- 28:50Speaker 7: banged up, so it's hard to even see what he
- 28:52Speaker 7: would have been if he were playing healthy.
- 28:54Speaker 2: But but when you think of Douger two years ago,
- 28:57Speaker 2: his best plays were close to the line.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Yeah, right, And that's how you, like you said.
- 29:02Speaker 8: Tip drills, just kind of being there in being in
- 29:06Speaker 8: the right moment at the right time. So you got
- 29:08Speaker 8: to wonder. The contracts definitely a big thing too. We
- 29:11Speaker 8: just re upped him, so maybe he's he could be
- 29:13Speaker 8: a trade piece. Who knows it could be.
- 29:15Speaker 2: But I think if he was really good, they'd be
- 29:17Speaker 2: playing them. But I think I think, like I said,
- 29:19Speaker 2: I think Peppers is playing better than him. And I
- 29:21Speaker 2: think with Woodson and these other guys, and they want
- 29:24Speaker 2: to see, you know, who can be a more free safety.
- 29:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I think Woodson can too. He has some opportunities
- 29:31Speaker 8: coming up.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Like I'm not an expert on defense like Deuce might be.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But if Carl if Davis and Gonzo are healthy. You
- 29:43Speaker 2: do expect them to be playing a lot of man
- 29:46Speaker 2: you know, So these safeties are going to have to
- 29:48Speaker 2: hold their own when it comes time to pass, you know.
- 29:51Speaker 2: And so you don't want to guys and Peppers and
- 29:55Speaker 2: Douggar who might be a little weaker against the pass.
- 29:59Speaker 8: Yeah, no, so yeah, you want to see him bounce back,
- 30:03Speaker 8: but I don't know.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Sure, Yeah, absolutely, Let's go to Todd, North Carolina. What's
- 30:09Speaker 2: up Todd?
- 30:12Speaker 17: Hey, guys, I just got two quick points.
- 30:15Speaker 16: First, Evan tells us that he's a team guy and
- 30:18Speaker 16: you can have tough questions, especially when he was asking
- 30:21Speaker 16: Drake something and to lost something out there and he went,
- 30:24Speaker 16: he's with CNLS. He seemed to be much more vocal
- 30:27Speaker 16: and much more able to discuss what's going on. And
- 30:30Speaker 16: they seem to be doing something, you know, they seem
- 30:32Speaker 16: to be coming around and running you guys for the
- 30:34Speaker 16: coverage of the training camp. So they're doing a great job.
- 30:38Speaker 16: And so what do you think about that? And my
- 30:40Speaker 16: other quick question is how do your family's bend or
- 30:44Speaker 16: significant others deal with you guys being so busy all
- 30:47Speaker 16: the time, Like you guys are always doing something. There's
- 30:50Speaker 16: always reports coming up, there's always something. I have no
- 30:52Speaker 16: idea how you guys are managed to get such, you know,
- 30:56Speaker 16: wonderfully understanding family yourself. I'd like to know about that.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean some some families aren't that understanding, and
- 31:05Speaker 2: it's tough, the like in the NFL, in all sports.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I'm not sure, but I would venture to guess the
- 31:12Speaker 2: divorce rate might be a little higher than I'm sure
- 31:15Speaker 2: other places.
- 31:16Speaker 8: I have the florist on speed dial.
- 31:17Speaker 2: But it's tough. You have to have an understanding significant
- 31:23Speaker 2: other divorce, and I think the best, the most healthy
- 31:29Speaker 2: thing is when the significant other has their own thing
- 31:31Speaker 2: going on, you know, so that they're not just home waiting,
- 31:36Speaker 2: that they're busy too, whether it's with kids or with
- 31:40Speaker 2: their own profession. So I think that's the healthiest thing.
- 31:43Speaker 2: But yeah, it's tough. It's very tough.
- 31:46Speaker 6: So you basically said, just don't date a scrub. They
- 31:49Speaker 6: have that stuff going on brunch on Sunday.
- 31:53Speaker 8: Luckily I go for works on Sunday, so I get
- 31:55Speaker 8: the game day free.
- 31:55Speaker 6: I think it's harder in my twenties when like birthdays,
- 32:00Speaker 6: peel are going out. People are having fun now it's.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Just but his first part of the question about asking
- 32:05Speaker 2: tough questions, Yeah, we're not in the business of doing that.
- 32:08Speaker 2: We're not the ones that are going to be causing
- 32:11Speaker 2: trouble or looking for the Gutcha or anything like that.
- 32:14Speaker 2: That's just not what we're going to do as part
- 32:17Speaker 2: of the team. If something comes up, we'll talk about it,
- 32:23Speaker 2: just you know, like last year with whether it was
- 32:25Speaker 2: Pepper's or whatever. You know, like we're not going to
- 32:28Speaker 2: like avoid things, but we're not going to be the ones,
- 32:31Speaker 2: you know, digging for the dirty and breaking the news.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Like if Cils does that, more power to him.
- 32:37Speaker 6: It's not got your journalism here, No, you know, Evan.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Evan has learned like the certain questions that he should
- 32:48Speaker 2: and shouldn't ask, you know, like uh, sometimes like he
- 32:53Speaker 2: wants to be revealing. He wants to take the top
- 32:55Speaker 2: off of the scheme and like show everything, and he
- 32:59Speaker 2: wants to mansplaining. He's the one you can't send the
- 33:02Speaker 2: training camp for the ode exactly like he does it
- 33:05Speaker 2: so well. He does it so well that it's like
- 33:08Speaker 2: what are you doing?
- 33:09Speaker 6: I'm talking about.
- 33:13Speaker 2: He is, and you know, like I'm okay telling people
- 33:17Speaker 2: like I've read some of his stuff where he's using
- 33:20Speaker 2: actual uh you know, lexicon or you know vertarions that
- 33:25Speaker 2: the team actually uses, Like we can't do that. Like
- 33:29Speaker 2: great that you know it. I don't know how you
- 33:31Speaker 2: know it. I don't know who told you. But that's
- 33:34Speaker 2: not stuff that we should be writing about, you know,
- 33:36Speaker 2: because that's like giving away our playbook. You can't do that.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Imagine if it ever came out, like in a post
- 33:44Speaker 7: game huddle where the opposing locker room was like, oh, yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 7: what do you see on this play and they're like, yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 7: you know their beat writer, Evan Lazar.
- 33:53Speaker 6: That he was he's been writing that. They have been
- 33:57Speaker 6: working on this scheme, so we just we knew it
- 33:59Speaker 6: was coming because we recognize it.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Yeah, like, you know, good for him that somebody or
- 34:06Speaker 2: somehow he's learning that. But you keep that to yourself.
- 34:10Speaker 2: You know, we can't be doing opposing teams favors. Let's
- 34:15Speaker 2: go to Patty and agawam, what's up? Patty's going on?
- 34:20Speaker 15: Everyone?
- 34:24Speaker 5: So I want to get your guys thoughts on this.
- 34:27Speaker 5: There's only one thing that kind of disappointed me about
- 34:30Speaker 5: this week, joints practice with the Viking. You know, when
- 34:34Speaker 5: I thought on the schedule. It was really amped up
- 34:35Speaker 5: to see how Christian Is Dallas would match up against
- 34:39Speaker 5: Justin Jefferson, just to get like a good listen, test
- 34:42Speaker 5: I kind of where he is. And since we can't
- 34:44Speaker 5: see that, I mean, I know we're gonna be going
- 34:46Speaker 5: up against some good receivers this year, but to me,
- 34:48Speaker 5: like he's arguably the best. You know, put him, put Chase,
- 34:53Speaker 5: put a J. Brown in any order you want.
- 34:55Speaker 17: But that's that's about it. That's the only thing I'm
- 34:58Speaker 17: disappointed about.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Get on that and I'll take it out there, all right,
- 35:03Speaker 2: Thanks Patty. Did did Jefferson practice? I don't think he practiced.
- 35:07Speaker 2: We didn't hear his name.
- 35:08Speaker 8: No, I think he's doing the like okay, like I
- 35:11Speaker 8: had my first couple of weeks some fit.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Let's get to week one. I wonder if Gonzo was practicing,
- 35:16Speaker 2: if they would have put in Jeffers a little bit
- 35:18Speaker 2: of to have that. But when once we told him
- 35:21Speaker 2: that Gonzo wasn't practicing, maybe they said, okay. But I
- 35:23Speaker 2: don't think Jefferson even played last week. Like, I don't know.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I think his schedule is a bit different. Yeah, because
- 35:29Speaker 2: I saw the preseason game he was on the sideline
- 35:32Speaker 2: wired up.
- 35:33Speaker 8: Yeah, I really think it's like he practices against his
- 35:36Speaker 8: own guys and then like see a week one.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Well that makes sense.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean these star receives you want, you know.
- 35:44Speaker 2: You know, so we're not missing anything because Jefferson's not
- 35:47Speaker 2: even out.
- 35:47Speaker 8: There, Saul, it would be pretty sick. But also that's
- 35:51Speaker 8: another good test for your younger guys, So yeah, that's true.
- 35:54Speaker 8: I want you want your guys to go up against
- 35:55Speaker 8: the best guys, so I see where Patty's coming.
- 35:57Speaker 7: It is disappointing though, because like even just watching Digs
- 36:00Speaker 7: versus Gonzo in practice, even with Diggs limited to like
- 36:05Speaker 7: most of the summer, it was just so fun to watch,
- 36:08Speaker 7: like even just them on one on one Digs running
- 36:11Speaker 7: routes against Gonzo.
- 36:13Speaker 2: It just shows level to it. Yeah, yep, let's go
- 36:18Speaker 2: to Jose, who's calling from Texas? What's up, Jose?
- 36:23Speaker 17: And how's it going?
- 36:25Speaker 6: How are you?
- 36:28Speaker 18: Yesterday I caught one of his shows. He seemed like
- 36:34Speaker 18: he was in development when he was talking about baseball, right,
- 36:37Speaker 18: maybe you should give him myself for baseball then he'll
- 36:40Speaker 18: be more happy.
- 36:42Speaker 2: So you said, he sounded really good when he was
- 36:45Speaker 2: talking like about baseball. Yeah, he dound into like, well you, Jose,
- 36:52Speaker 2: you do know that he's in the BU Baseball Hall
- 36:55Speaker 2: of Fame. Yeah, so no, I told Paul like I
- 37:00Speaker 2: always told him, like, and thanks for the call, Jose.
- 37:03Speaker 2: You know, you need to let these people know that
- 37:06Speaker 2: you know as much about the other sports as you
- 37:08Speaker 2: do football. And he probably knows more about baseball than
- 37:11Speaker 2: he does football.
- 37:11Speaker 6: Imagine in another life if Paul was covering the Red
- 37:15Speaker 6: Sox for a lifetime.
- 37:16Speaker 8: Oh too many games, yeah.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Waits too many games for him. But what would he
- 37:22Speaker 6: be like? Would he have the same like kind of snarky.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Persone worse worse? Oh yeah, much worse. I mean he
- 37:29Speaker 2: played high school football quarterback for you know, a good
- 37:33Speaker 2: high school.
- 37:33Speaker 8: Yeah and ever.
- 37:34Speaker 6: But so imagine Paul with the ego of a Division
- 37:37Speaker 6: one Baseball Hall of famer.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Be insufferable, sufferable.
- 37:42Speaker 6: I paid to Zer for a week.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, the Red and the Red Sox. Get him off
- 37:46Speaker 2: the beat whatever, you know, whoever the Globe will pay
- 37:50Speaker 2: you not to use him. Yeah all right, lots of
- 37:55Speaker 2: emails coming in as we wait for Rabel, who's coming
- 37:58Speaker 2: up in about ten minutes or so. Let's see, this
- 38:05Speaker 2: is from Julian, who's from Germany, worries me a little
- 38:11Speaker 2: how much Rabel wants his former players, especially on defense,
- 38:17Speaker 2: to He says, I don't know what this means, but anyway,
- 38:22Speaker 2: he seems desperately trying to replace everybody who's not one
- 38:25Speaker 2: of his guys. Dugger as the most recent example, his
- 38:29Speaker 2: defense ranked sixteenth during his time as the head coach
- 38:31Speaker 2: of the Titans, So just average per pff. Do you
- 38:35Speaker 2: feel like he is trying to implement a system that
- 38:38Speaker 2: was just average a bit too much?
- 38:41Speaker 8: I mean, I feel like when a new coach comes in,
- 38:43Speaker 8: they're supposed to implement their system, and he had to
- 38:45Speaker 8: get rid of a whole get rid of my UMPI
- 38:48Speaker 8: they replace a whole culture of like decades of stuff
- 38:52Speaker 8: with guys, and he's doing that, and by doing that,
- 38:54Speaker 8: you bring in your own guys. And Harold Landry Splaine like.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's a different system than what they had,
- 39:00Speaker 2: you know, it's more of an aggressive upfront system. I
- 39:04Speaker 2: think you're going to see a lot more consistent four
- 39:06Speaker 2: man fronts than you had before. You're gonna see more
- 39:10Speaker 2: pressure up the middle, hopefully between Milton Williams. You don't
- 39:13Speaker 2: bring in Milton Williams. Just have him eat space. You know,
- 39:17Speaker 2: he and Barmore should be a formidable pair to get pressure.
- 39:21Speaker 2: That's different. We haven't seen that in a long time
- 39:23Speaker 2: at this place. We really have it.
- 39:26Speaker 6: They're gonna eat now.
- 39:27Speaker 2: The question is how good are they going to be
- 39:29Speaker 2: against the run? You know, it is Tonga going to
- 39:32Speaker 2: be in there that you know at times, uh, you know,
- 39:35Speaker 2: goal line or short short yardage. Oh well, let's go
- 39:39Speaker 2: to Mike Vrabel. He's ready to go. He's early.
- 39:45Speaker 1: There's one answer. It's carrot cake.
- 39:46Speaker 8: That's it.
- 39:47Speaker 1: There's one. There's one answer. There's no him and a harm.
- 39:51Speaker 16: No.
- 39:52Speaker 1: But that's the only one that I'll eat on my birthday.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Do you feel at fifty.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Men, I would say physically do yeah, come on.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Happy milestone.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 40:07Speaker 6: Just your general impressions of yesterday, how that, how that went,
- 40:12Speaker 6: and what we're opening seeing today.
- 40:14Speaker 1: These practices are like a game. We've we've said that,
- 40:17Speaker 1: you know, there's ups and downs. We hit some plays,
- 40:19Speaker 1: they hit some plays. You know, there's an intermission and
- 40:24Speaker 1: again there's a break with special teams, and then you
- 40:26Speaker 1: you know, usually a two minute situation at the end.
- 40:29Speaker 1: So you know, we're able to make a play at
- 40:31Speaker 1: the two minute situation, and you know, kind of the
- 40:35Speaker 1: same thing. Defensively, they hit some plays, we were able
- 40:38Speaker 1: to have some good plays and again just looking for
- 40:41Speaker 1: some consistency. And I think what they do defensively is
- 40:43Speaker 1: great challenge for us, you know, to come up here
- 40:47Speaker 1: without any real practice or any look and be able
- 40:50Speaker 1: to you know, have some good plays and again some
- 40:55Speaker 1: plays that you know, we have to improve on. But
- 40:57Speaker 1: I think it's a good started fly.
- 41:01Speaker 8: Is that the offensive fly to audience?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's for everybody, right, It's for the quarterback to
- 41:07Speaker 1: be able to communicate and get us in the right protection.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Communicate and and go from there and but execute right.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And I think the big thing is, you know, once
- 41:15Speaker 1: you communicate, we have to execute and the fundamentals and
- 41:18Speaker 1: you know, make corrections quickly and go from there. I
- 41:21Speaker 1: don't think yesterday I thought he did well. I thought
- 41:25Speaker 1: he you know, it's easy to go into blender, uh
- 41:28Speaker 1: when you're when you're seeing a bunch of this stuff
- 41:30Speaker 1: and and kind of scrambling and turning one you know,
- 41:35Speaker 1: less than favorable play into a you know, a real
- 41:39Speaker 1: ship storm. So I didn't see that. I thought he
- 41:41Speaker 1: was able to process and we didn't execute all the time,
- 41:45Speaker 1: but I didn't see any panic from him. I thought
- 41:47Speaker 1: he was able to communicate and get the things that
- 41:49Speaker 1: he wanted, uh, and then hit some plays because of it.
- 41:53Speaker 1: You know, when we blocked him, we were able to
- 41:55Speaker 1: make some plays. And then we'll just have to try
- 41:58Speaker 1: to see what happens today and continue to go from there.
- 42:01Speaker 10: It's a talented player.
- 42:02Speaker 2: How did how did Will Campbell do yesterday in that matchup?
- 42:04Speaker 1: Had some good plays and had some plays where he
- 42:06Speaker 1: got beat inside and these are going to happen to
- 42:10Speaker 1: young offensive linemen. So you know, we're not gonna sit
- 42:13Speaker 1: and evaluate every every practice. I'll let you guys do that,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and you know we'll go from there and let's keep
- 42:18Speaker 1: trying to improve. Saw Darrow Williams upstairs during the preseason
- 42:22Speaker 1: open What led to that decision? Do you see him
- 42:25Speaker 1: being upstairs or downstairs? There's a lot of positives to
- 42:28Speaker 1: being upstairs, to being able to see things and being
- 42:30Speaker 1: able to call the game from there, you know, just
- 42:35Speaker 1: trying to get a gauge on what's best. And you know,
- 42:38Speaker 1: some some coaches, you know, play callers like to do
- 42:41Speaker 1: it from the field. Some really like it from up upstairs,
- 42:44Speaker 1: and so Terrell is gonna probably stay upstairs this week
- 42:48Speaker 1: and see how that goes, and you know, continue to work.
- 42:51Speaker 1: And again that was a good operation that we were
- 42:53Speaker 1: able to go against with Washington and the no huddle stuff.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And you know, that was a good, good first test
- 42:59Speaker 1: in preseason. The rain's gonna bail me out. You got
- 43:04Speaker 1: no more questions.
- 43:05Speaker 2: You talking about tracts from the inside out in the
- 43:09Speaker 2: past with Will in particular, is that like a repeat
- 43:12Speaker 2: thing you've seen from them, you.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Know, the well, it's come up with all of them.
- 43:15Speaker 1: I don't think that that's just you know, to signal
- 43:18Speaker 1: him out. We have to be firm in the middle,
- 43:20Speaker 1: and we have to stay inside out and the quarterback
- 43:22Speaker 1: has to transfer up into the pocket. So those are
- 43:24Speaker 1: all things that have to go hand in hand. We've
- 43:28Speaker 1: talked about it's hard to block edge rushers if you know,
- 43:31Speaker 1: you give them a three way go, which is inside,
- 43:33Speaker 1: over the top of you, or around the edge, and
- 43:36Speaker 1: then we have to force them around the edge, and
- 43:37Speaker 1: the quarterback has to transfer up into the pocket, and
- 43:40Speaker 1: in order to do that, you have to be firm
- 43:41Speaker 1: in the middle of pocket. So all those things have
- 43:44Speaker 1: to come together. Uh, and when they do, uh, it
- 43:46Speaker 1: looks pretty good. And then when there's breakdowns in those
- 43:50Speaker 1: or or we're not helping the guy next to us
- 43:52Speaker 1: and in pass rush games, or you know, we don't
- 43:55Speaker 1: we don't get open fast enough. You know, there's one
- 43:57Speaker 1: thing after another.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Like Jalen Hawkins, Craig Woodson, what has he shown you
- 44:05Speaker 3: at the safety position?
- 44:06Speaker 1: He keeps I think getting better. I think he keeps
- 44:08Speaker 1: learning each day some of the different techniques that maybe
- 44:11Speaker 1: he didn't you know, use as much in in in cal.
- 44:17Speaker 16: I.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I've seen him tackle. I think the special team stuff
- 44:20Speaker 1: was good. I thrown himself uh in there into the
- 44:22Speaker 1: fire on on. Some of the special team stuff was
- 44:24Speaker 1: good to see. So uh, continue to to see where
- 44:27Speaker 1: he's at just from his physicality and you know, kind
- 44:31Speaker 1: of go from there.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Mike, what you liked about your red zone offense to
- 44:35Speaker 3: date this summer and besides touchdowns, what are you hoping
- 44:37Speaker 3: to see from that today?
- 44:40Speaker 16: Ah?
- 44:41Speaker 1: I I just know and you know, no, let's say
- 44:43Speaker 1: unforced airs going backwards in the red zone. If you
- 44:46Speaker 1: have a play where there's a penalty or you lose yardage,
- 44:50Speaker 1: the percentage that ends in a in a touchdown, UH
- 44:53Speaker 1: really decreases, uh drastically, So we have to ev every
- 44:57Speaker 1: yard matters down there. At three yard gain is a
- 45:00Speaker 1: still a positive play, and you know we have to
- 45:03Speaker 1: be able to do that and get the ball out quickly.
- 45:05Speaker 1: There has to be some precision to what you're doing
- 45:08Speaker 1: in the red zone. That's the timing is is quicker
- 45:11Speaker 1: and in the windows are much tighter.
- 45:14Speaker 10: That's yesterday about Oh, he's not sure about his readiness
- 45:19Speaker 10: for week one?
- 45:20Speaker 1: Did you really believe that?
- 45:21Speaker 2: Phil?
- 45:21Speaker 1: I mean you, you're a smart guy. I don't know
- 45:22Speaker 1: where he went to school. It wasn't Ohio State, But like,
- 45:25Speaker 1: do you really believe that? Do you really believe that? Pill?
- 45:28Speaker 1: Are you just trying to bait me into something? I'm
- 45:30Speaker 1: not beating you.
- 45:31Speaker 19: Okay, he did say he wasn't sure he'd be ready
- 45:32Speaker 19: for week one to thirty doubt in your mind.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I don't know the context in which he said it,
- 45:37Speaker 1: but you'd have to help me. I mean, he's been
- 45:39Speaker 1: out here almost every day. I'm excited to where he's
- 45:42Speaker 1: at and we'll see when week one comes. But he's
- 45:46Speaker 1: gonna practice today. Hopefully he helps us in the red zone.
- 45:49Speaker 1: But we can't make you know, predict the future about
- 45:53Speaker 1: week one. I just know he's gonna be out there today,
- 45:55Speaker 1: and he works hard and you know he cares, which
- 45:59Speaker 1: are two important things.
- 46:00Speaker 20: Mike, speaking of the context and stuff, Clog Downing had
- 46:03Speaker 20: a quote about stuff the other day. I'm wondering you
- 46:05Speaker 20: can get out some context. So the big thing with
- 46:07Speaker 20: him is.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I'll do my best. I'll try to let Todd speak
- 46:10Speaker 1: for himself, but I'll try to help you the best
- 46:11Speaker 1: I can get it.
- 46:12Speaker 20: But you got the big thing with him is understanding
- 46:14Speaker 20: that you can't confuse results with the process. So if
- 46:17Speaker 20: there's a day he doesn't have a whole bunch of production,
- 46:19Speaker 20: that doesn't mean he didn't do his job and get open.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Sounds like that has been an issue with them.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I don't think that it has. I thought that. You know, again,
- 46:31Speaker 1: there's days where the ball doesn't find you. There's one football,
- 46:35Speaker 1: there's five eligible receivers. The quarterback decides where he wants
- 46:38Speaker 1: to go with the ball. No different than Kyle Williams.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Kyle Williams is working extremely hard. You know, ball hasn't
- 46:45Speaker 1: really found him. He's been open. There's been separation you know,
- 46:51Speaker 1: I'm not sure which day Todd said that, but the
- 46:54Speaker 1: other day in the red zone, I thought that, you know,
- 46:56Speaker 1: Stephan factored and looked good and keep getting better. So
- 47:03Speaker 1: I don't think that that's gonna be always the case,
- 47:06Speaker 1: right as far as there's a you know, Terrell mentioned this.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Terrell Williams said this one time, when you know you can,
- 47:15Speaker 1: you can make the play without making a tackle, right,
- 47:18Speaker 1: And and that was something that you have to teach
- 47:20Speaker 1: defensive linemen is when they start trying to make a
- 47:23Speaker 1: bunch of tackles, maybe maybe they start hurting some of
- 47:26Speaker 1: the people behind them and the fits and everything else
- 47:29Speaker 1: because they're trying to make a tackle. Where there's ways
- 47:32Speaker 1: to do their job and really contribute to the defense
- 47:36Speaker 1: without ever getting a stat And those plays will come.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Just make the ones that that you're supposed to make.
- 47:41Speaker 1: And I really equate that to really every position. But
- 47:44Speaker 1: you know, you asked about receiver, and then again, everybody
- 47:47Speaker 1: wants to catch the ball and everybody's to score touchdowns
- 47:50Speaker 1: and those will come, and that will happen. And maybe
- 47:53Speaker 1: on that particular day in which Todd said that, you know,
- 47:56Speaker 1: there wasn't a ton of production from that practice that
- 47:59Speaker 1: I'm not really sure and he said that, but there's
- 48:01Speaker 1: other ways to be successful and and do your job
- 48:04Speaker 1: and help us win. That's the most important thing with guys.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Final questions, do you view them as competing for the
- 48:11Speaker 2: number two job and you.
- 48:12Speaker 10: Kind of view their spots because ones are better and
- 48:15Speaker 10: one who work that they're kind of story.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I think Josh is the the the
- 48:19Speaker 1: backup right now. Uh, not that that couldn't change. You know,
- 48:22Speaker 1: Ben's working hard and you know, we'll see you again,
- 48:25Speaker 1: and we're always trying to strengthen the roster each and
- 48:27Speaker 1: every day, and uh, but Josh is in there. Josh
- 48:30Speaker 1: just has to be more consistent. You know, had a
- 48:34Speaker 1: unfortunate you know interception, you know in two minute drill
- 48:38Speaker 1: and throwing it in the robber, and you know, ball
- 48:40Speaker 1: placement has to be better and just the the timing
- 48:42Speaker 1: and all these things that that we work on. So
- 48:45Speaker 1: he's getting the same looks that that Drake's getting and
- 48:47Speaker 1: it's it's not easy, but that's not an excuse. I'm
- 48:50Speaker 1: not usually as an excuse, just saying, you know, we
- 48:53Speaker 1: have to take care of football.
- 48:55Speaker 2: With the reading.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Is the last question. I looked at potentially the safety
- 48:57Speaker 1: kind of like Marte mop who just to get a
- 48:59Speaker 1: more opportunity to get on the field, you should move
- 49:03Speaker 1: them to safety. Yeah, I mean we would consider anything
- 49:08Speaker 1: to try to help the football team and help the player.
- 49:11Speaker 1: That's everything we want to try to do is help
- 49:14Speaker 1: every player earn a role and build a football team.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Thank you.

- 51:04Speaker 8: And now great moments in.
- 51:08Speaker 2: History. I'm really embarrassed about this. It's an embarrassing moment,
- 51:12Speaker 2: very embarrassing. So I'm that's a funny story. I'm at
- 51:15Speaker 2: the party with my wife and this is before everybody
- 51:17Speaker 2: got their ring, so it's still early. People are still arriving,
- 51:20Speaker 2: and I'm standing kind of in a middle area where,
- 51:23Speaker 2: you know, as people go by him taught Jonathan Kraft
- 51:25Speaker 2: and people we work with, and Tom comes in with Giselle.
- 51:31Speaker 2: That would be Tom Brady. Tom Brady, well with Giselle
- 51:34Speaker 2: kind of is the giveaway. But anyway, so I said, hey, Tom,
- 51:39Speaker 2: how you doing? And I stuck my hand out for
- 51:40Speaker 2: a handshake and he came.
- 51:42Speaker 11: In for the hug.
- 51:43Speaker 10: He came in hot, hot, wow, so.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Hot that I kissed him on the cheek.
- 51:51Speaker 22: Wow.
- 51:53Speaker 3: So he went in for the hug and Fred did
- 51:56Speaker 3: the Castandra inappropriate the moment I did it, and.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I'm like, oh what did I.
- 52:01Speaker 22: Did he react to it?
- 52:03Speaker 2: He's so tall? I don't know.
- 52:04Speaker 8: That's another great moment.
- 52:09Speaker 2: All right back here and Patriots Unfiltered, a little blast
- 52:12Speaker 2: from the past there.
- 52:13Speaker 6: You're a European of you.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I lost my mind. I really
- 52:18Speaker 2: was that. It was after one of the Super was
- 52:21Speaker 2: Super Bowl party? Yeah?
- 52:23Speaker 8: Only place is acceptable?
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess, but I just I just lost my
- 52:29Speaker 2: What was it like? The cheek? Yeah, it was soft.
- 52:35Speaker 2: I don't remember. It's all a blur right now, Like
- 52:38Speaker 2: I said, I lost my head just anyway, kiss to Yeah,
- 52:44Speaker 2: all right, so that was Mike Rabel, he says a lot. Yeah, yeah,
- 52:49Speaker 2: he's not one to hold back.
- 52:50Speaker 7: No.
- 52:51Speaker 6: I love the lack of coach speak.
- 52:52Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, then it'll come out.
- 52:55Speaker 6: Like when he was asked about Dugger, the coach speak
- 52:57Speaker 6: kind of came out.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought, you know, there were you know, some
- 53:01Speaker 2: good stuff. But I thought, to me, Woldridge is making
- 53:07Speaker 2: a push to be the backup from what That's the
- 53:09Speaker 2: sense that I got from what he was talking about.
- 53:12Speaker 8: It seems like about I don't think Dobbs has played
- 53:13Speaker 8: that badly. I think, like, I mean, Drake's your guy, but.
- 53:19Speaker 2: But I think Woldridge has shown some stuff. I think
- 53:22Speaker 2: it's not just Dobbs not playing well. I think Woldridge
- 53:24Speaker 2: has actually shown an appictude for the position that might
- 53:30Speaker 2: make him a better candidate to be the backup.
- 53:33Speaker 8: That being said, though, if something were to happen to Drake,
- 53:35Speaker 8: I feel more comfortable with Dobbs.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Right now, right now, yeah to like yeah, yeah, but
- 53:43Speaker 2: I think that in terms of reps in practice, I
- 53:46Speaker 2: think Woldridge is starting to earn some more.
- 53:49Speaker 7: Yep, it's just a matter of too, like who do
- 53:52Speaker 7: you want in the room with Drake a veteran mentor
- 53:56Speaker 7: or like this kid who's trying to Oh, you.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Can still have like you're gonna cut up for sure
- 54:01Speaker 2: for sure.
- 54:02Speaker 6: But as like the official backup.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Well, listen, if Wildridge's has to prepare more to be
- 54:11Speaker 2: the real backup, that gives Dobbs more time to be
- 54:14Speaker 2: a mentor and that type of thing. So, I don't know,
- 54:17Speaker 2: there's different ways to look at it, but I took
- 54:19Speaker 2: from that that this backup thing isn't a settle, it's
- 54:23Speaker 2: not settled business. You know, it's still kind of obviously
- 54:28Speaker 2: Dobbs his job right now, but like Rabel said, for now,
- 54:33Speaker 2: he used that word for now. So other than that,
- 54:38Speaker 2: you know, nothing, nothing really revealing, but just in terms
- 54:42Speaker 2: of like what he expects from players and in the practices, Uh,
- 54:47Speaker 2: he just says a lot more than we're used to.
- 54:51Speaker 8: Yeah, for sure, for sure, it's they're a bit more
- 54:53Speaker 8: I won't say entertaining, but informational.
- 54:56Speaker 15: Now.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like you have to watch, Yeah, you know,
- 55:01Speaker 2: you might miss something if you don't. Yeah, So if
- 55:03Speaker 2: you're covering this team, I think Mike Rabel's press conferences
- 55:07Speaker 2: or must watch.
- 55:08Speaker 6: Yeah, yep, he likes Scarecake. Yeah, it's weird.
- 55:11Speaker 8: I don't like that take not Carecakes.
- 55:13Speaker 6: Kind of an old man take though.
- 55:14Speaker 8: So he's fifty, but I did he did. I like
- 55:17Speaker 8: that he gives it back to the reporters a little
- 55:19Speaker 8: like what Diggs was that he was talking about being
- 55:21Speaker 8: right for week one.
- 55:22Speaker 6: So that's yes, we think it's Diggs. He was discussing
- 55:25Speaker 6: week one availability.
- 55:26Speaker 8: But he's looked good so far, so I would hope
- 55:29Speaker 8: he's ready for week one.
- 55:30Speaker 7: Seeing some of the videos come out of practice of
- 55:32Speaker 7: just the way he runs, and then seeing it in
- 55:34Speaker 7: person too, it's like it's like, you know how, here's
- 55:38Speaker 7: the analogy. It's like golfing, Like we can all hit
- 55:40Speaker 7: a golf ball, but then you go watch a pro
- 55:43Speaker 7: tournament and it just sounds different when they make contact
- 55:46Speaker 7: on the ball. That's how I feel watching Digs run
- 55:49Speaker 7: routes compared to any receiver we've ever had.
- 55:52Speaker 6: It's just like it looks different.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Well, I was listening to one of Paul's shows yesterday,
- 55:57Speaker 2: and actually Paul was on one of Paul's shows was yesterday.
- 56:01Speaker 2: It wasn't just his show, he was actually on it
- 56:03Speaker 2: he did a full four hours in the afternoon with
- 56:07Speaker 2: Michael Holly and Alex Barth was part of it as well.
- 56:11Speaker 2: And Barth was talking about diggs role last year before
- 56:16Speaker 2: he got hurt with the Texans, and they had, you know,
- 56:21Speaker 2: a young guy in Nico whatever, Nico Collins, who was
- 56:26Speaker 2: really the big play guy. He kind of took that
- 56:30Speaker 2: away from Diggs and Diggs was more the underneath guy
- 56:32Speaker 2: and in that role, he was still on target to
- 56:36Speaker 2: get a thousand yards. So he was doing well in
- 56:39Speaker 2: that role.
- 56:41Speaker 16: You know.
- 56:41Speaker 2: So people think, oh, well, he's not the Digs he
- 56:44Speaker 2: used to be. Well, that's because Nico Collins was that
- 56:48Speaker 2: guy and he was the younger guy. Yeah and yeah,
- 56:51Speaker 2: so Diggs was doing what I think was best for
- 56:55Speaker 2: the team. What will be best for the team this
- 56:58Speaker 2: year with him for the Patriots, Well, they want him
- 57:01Speaker 2: to be more that big play guy. Will he be
- 57:04Speaker 2: more that medium range guy that I think he was
- 57:07Speaker 2: with the Texans. I don't think he's going to be
- 57:09Speaker 2: a pure slot guy, no, you know, but I do
- 57:12Speaker 2: think I think he could have a lot of volume
- 57:15Speaker 2: here because he can get open.
- 57:18Speaker 8: He's still got it, and I mean the we they're
- 57:21Speaker 8: a caller asked earlier about Mac Hollins. But like Mac Hollins,
- 57:24Speaker 8: we don't know what he's going to be at. Pop
- 57:26Speaker 8: has been having a great camp, so there's room for
- 57:28Speaker 8: everybody to shine, and Digs just being he's still just
- 57:31Speaker 8: a presence and the defense needs to worry.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess there was one play yesterday
- 57:36Speaker 2: early on. It might have been in one on ones
- 57:38Speaker 2: where he just left this guy in the dust.
- 57:40Speaker 6: Now I know it's exactly.
- 57:43Speaker 2: It's really hard on one on ones to keep with
- 57:45Speaker 2: your guy. It's it's almost impossible the offense. The receiver
- 57:49Speaker 2: should win that almost every time because he knows where
- 57:52Speaker 2: he's going. The defender doesn't. But he just he just
- 57:56Speaker 2: left this guy dust.
- 57:58Speaker 8: Might have been Jeff Wokudo. I'm not sure, but he
- 58:00Speaker 8: was the guy was left clueless.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's Diggs. Yeah, that's Diggs. Hollins is a
- 58:07Speaker 2: bigger guy.
- 58:08Speaker 7: Yeah, Collins is way more of a freak of nature
- 58:12Speaker 7: than I think we realize. Yeah, it's like I don't
- 58:15Speaker 7: know if it's the Tarzan shirt or what, but like
- 58:19Speaker 7: Mac Collins is a specimen.
- 58:20Speaker 8: He's been doing it for a while. I wasn't really
- 58:22Speaker 8: big on the signing when we got him, and now
- 58:24Speaker 8: I'm kind of kind of on board like he's been
- 58:26Speaker 8: he's been making.
- 58:27Speaker 2: So Diggs is your number one? Who's your number two?
- 58:30Speaker 2: Is it Hollands? Is Hollins right now your number two receiver?
- 58:33Speaker 6: Do you think it's between Pop like number two option
- 58:38Speaker 6: or just like I think it's like you.
- 58:40Speaker 8: Know, I think Pops your slock guy. I'm a little
- 58:42Speaker 8: intrigued by with Booty just because may have had such
- 58:45Speaker 8: a good connection.
- 58:45Speaker 2: With him at the look at it just production, you know,
- 58:48Speaker 2: because like you brought up a good point. Sometimes on
- 58:50Speaker 2: some teams, your slot guy is your guy with the
- 58:53Speaker 2: most production, and that's what I think it'll be for
- 58:55Speaker 2: me to have the most production at the wide receiver position.
- 58:59Speaker 2: I think Pop, but I think really just with the
- 59:03Speaker 2: way Josh McDaniel, I don't think so. I don't think so.
- 59:06Speaker 6: I think Hollins will mix in like a lot of
- 59:09Speaker 6: bit random big plays, like kind of when you least
- 59:12Speaker 6: expect it.
- 59:14Speaker 8: Three catches are two three. But I think Pop is
- 59:16Speaker 8: due for I hope it's if I'm yeah, I hope
- 59:19Speaker 8: it's Digs too, Like I hope Diggs is showing shades
- 59:21Speaker 8: of what he used to be. But I just think
- 59:23Speaker 8: the way McDaniels plays like, I think there's a big
- 59:25Speaker 8: year ahead for Pop.
- 59:27Speaker 6: Pop and Drake just have great chemistry on and off
- 59:30Speaker 6: the field. They have that year together where they've I
- 59:33Speaker 6: don't know, it just looks like they've really built something special.
- 59:36Speaker 6: I don't know how it'll look this year in season.
- 59:40Speaker 6: Pop's undersize and a small guy, so we'll see how
- 59:43Speaker 6: he's schemed open.
- 59:44Speaker 8: But I think he's I think it's a good thing
- 59:47Speaker 8: of Pop has a big year too, because that's a
- 59:50Speaker 8: lesser known player around the league making an impact on
- 59:52Speaker 8: a team.
- 59:53Speaker 2: So would you be shocked if I said Hollins will
- 59:56Speaker 2: be your number two? In terms of production, Diggs Booty
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: might have more production than Pop. Would be not big plays,
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: but he might have more production.
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: I'd be surprised.
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: I would be surprised.
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: Yeah, I think so too. I mean, yeah, I'd be surprised.
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: Okay, but I'm here for it because if either one
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: of those guys really turned.
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: Into being like a great option at receiver, I mean,
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: how long has it been since we drafted and developed
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: like a super reliable one receiver.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I know, I don't want to get ahead of myself.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: But if things start to click, then you add in hunter.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Henry Hooper is a is a solid number two tight end,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: is what we think he's gonna be. Yeah, all of
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: a sudden, Yeah, you've got what Paul considers weapons. Yes,
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: and that's gonna make Drake May better. It's going to
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: make the offensive line better because defenses we're going to
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: be what hard, hard to cover instead of easy to defend.
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: Yes, Hollins too, I think we all touted him as
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: he's going to be a great locker room guy. He's
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: going to be a great veteran present, so we overlooked
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: what he would do on the field. But I think
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: even the impact he's made off the field in the
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: locker room is even being understated.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: Just talking to like even talking to the.
- 1:01:14Speaker 7: Equipment guys and guys who are on the sport support
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: staff of the team, they Hollins is already their favorite
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: guy in the locker room, and just he's holding people
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: really accountable and calling out excuses in a way that
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: it's really like big brother friendly. But he's just so
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: stoic of a person that his wisdom just carries a
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: lot of weight with these young guys and I think
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: Kendrick Bourne is a really good veteran and a great guy,
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: but I think he's frankly just too nice to have
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: had that effect in a locker room and really bring
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: up the level of play, because guys were like, I
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: don't know, just hearing mac Hollins just being like, no,
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: you're making excuses like and calling that out.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah the ball he.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: Scored a touchdown and instantly like he looked like Manny
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: Noyer punting the ball out there for my Bunsliga fans.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: Yeah, but it was I love that energy and I'm
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: so with him. I think energy football is it really
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: the ebbs and flows of a game aren't so contingent
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: on who is controlling the energy.
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: It's also something we haven't had in a while here,
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: just a new a new life, which is what need and.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: That wide receiver room needed that.
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: Yeah, yes, yeah, we're talking about it and it's like
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: we brought in Hollands and Digs, but still a lot
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: of the same guys from last year, which just shows
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: the progress they're making.
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: And it's the young guys making the progress, you know.
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: So it's like, what what's here this year that there
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: wasn't last year? That it's just elevating everyone's play.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Grant and Iowa right saning. He says, I attended practice
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: yesterday and my biggest takeaway was how much better Drake
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: may was than McCarthy. Drake looked sharper with his placement
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: on his throws. McCarthy was more erratic with his placement
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: and his receivers had to bail him out on a
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: lot of high and low throws. Made me feel encouraged
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: that we picked the right player in the twenty twenty
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: four draft. I would be curious about Evans or Mike's
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: thoughts on this as well, when you call them today, Well,
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: we didn't really get into the whole comparison.
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: It did seem though, like it seemed like a lot
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: of the McCarthy throws were just dump offs.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: I think you mentioned that, but I think our defense
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: had a lot to do with that. I think we
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: did well. I love watching may Vrabel stretch and Hollins
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: interact with the Special Olympics Flag football teams after practice.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Rabel brought the same energy to that as he does
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: to everything else. I'm glad I root for a team
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: that takes those things seriously and makes it a good
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: experience for all involved. I can see why everyone is
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: cautiously optimistic for this upcoming season. I hope it translates
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: to some wins. We all do.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: We all do.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: This is g in Connecticut. I listened to every episode
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: plus Catt twenty two so much that my wife, who
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: doesn't listen or really even care about football, knows some
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: of your names and many of the inside jokes. Your
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: jokes have just become part of our shared language.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: I love that.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Is it your love language? She heard me laughing one
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: day listening to you all, and I had to try
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: to explain the squeaky Brady your honor, your family's honor.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: I pulled up a clip on YouTube, and imagine my
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: surprise when I realized that's not what he's saying. He
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: actually says, win this game. You're honored, your kids are honored,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: your family's honored. Same thing doesn't matter. We like the
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: squeaky Fred version better. Hardly a week goes on without
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: one of us squeaking your honor, your family's honor at
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: each other. It never fails to make us laugh. Thanks
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: for producing great show and give us some silly mutual joy.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Honor your honor?
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: Who was that you.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I can't even tell ye. So yeah, that was that
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: was from three games to glory?
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: Yeah right, fifty one something I don't yeah, fifty one.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Fred's like one of them, yeah, one of them count
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: I think it was earlier than that, but I'm not sure.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Brandy in Providence on the hotline, what's up, Randy? We go,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: guys good?
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: So what was that guy like to do? When we
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: do these joint practices? It all go to like the
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: other teams media and I want to see how they
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: see the practice and like how they see the Patriots.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: And there are three things that were really interesting that
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: I found. Number One to that earlier letters comparison between
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: McCarthy and May Andrew Kramer, who was from their Star
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: tribute out there, but that may looked better than McCarthy
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: ever has versus the Flora's defense talked specifically about his arm,
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: his touch, and his ability to drop the ball in,
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: but they also pointed out that TJ. Hawkinson had really
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: good practices and zach Ertz did last week. Also, it
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: is that a precursor for this team having issues against
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: that ends. And then thirdly, they were down on Josh
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Dobbs and I think It's interesting to point out because
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Dobbs was there in Minnesota a couple of years ago.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: She started four games there in twenty twenty three for them,
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: So they pointed out that he had some poor throws
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: support decisions, and they could see why the Bankings moved
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: on from So that kind of go to the earlier
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: conversation you guys were having about Dobbs versus Woodridge, who
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: looked really good in the press the game.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks Randy.
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: Yeah, insight that Evan's given us today.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I did see that about the McCarthy may comparison.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: The Hockinson thing, I've heard from several people that he
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: had a good practice. You know, good pass catching tight
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: ends give all teams trouble. Yeah, you know, it's not
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: just the Patriots. I mean, over the years, the Patriots,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: you know, when they had a weakness and defense, it
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: seemed like tight ends took advantage. But these better tight
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: ends in the league get their production. They don't just
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: get it against one team, they get it against all teams.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: So I'm not surprised Hockinson had a good day. You know,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: a lot of times you're you're guarding the boundaries against
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: big plays and then the middle opens up, particularly when
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: you're in man to man. Uh, so you just try
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: to limit that.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of.
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: I find it kind of funny because during the joints too,
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: like they're they're hitting, but they're not doing like the
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: full hit. So like this happened with Hunter Henry against
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: the Commanders. There are a couple of plays he made
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: in the middle, but like that's full game action, like
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: he's getting crucified. So I think that could have happened
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: with Ertz and Hawkinson too. So yeah, it's interesting to see.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: But will the Patriots have trouble handling tight ends this year?
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe they're a little bit smaller. Uh
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: brock Bowers a week one? Yeah, well brock Bowers, like
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: you know what, was he close to being Rookie of
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: the Year last year? He's you know, so you yeah,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: he's he's great player. I'm sure he's gonna get his.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: He's gonna get his. The question is can you limit it?
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Can you limit at the yards after catch? And can
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: you limit it on the big moments? You know, when
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: it's third and nine, can you stop that? You know,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: because that those are the killers when when they're third
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: and nine and they and they're getting first downs and
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: you just can't get your defense off the field. Those
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: are killers. But we'll see. You know, who's your tight
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: end killer on this team? I don't know, Like, who's
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: the guy, you know, I remember back in the day,
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: would be Rodney Harrison, you know, down from his safety spot.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Who's the guy that can match up well with tight ends.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: It's not Marcus Jones. I think he's too small. So
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: you need somebody in the middle that can do that.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: You know, maybe maybe when you're playing the Raiders, maybe
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Carlton Davis. You move him from his outside, you move
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Austin outside with help, and you have Davis match up
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: with Bowers because he's a bigger cornerback certainly speed wise
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: can keep up with him. You know, maybe you mix
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: it up that way.
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: Yeah, No, it's I think, wasn't it the twenty seventeen
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: AFC game, like they had Ramsey on Gronk, Like, sometimes
- 1:09:07Speaker 8: you just need to put your big corner on the
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: Like sometimes the star receiver is the tight end right right,
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: and you.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Just treat him that way, you treat him as a receiver.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: So I'm sure you know Terrell Williams will figure that
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: out or try to figure it out anyway. It's interesting
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Vrabel was talking about Williams being up in the booth
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: calling defense. You know, it could be partly because they
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: don't want him on his feet the whole practice, But
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: to me, that's more common with offensive coordinators.
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: Really.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you see more offensive coordinators up in the booth
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: calling from up there. Especially in college, it's always up
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: in the booth.
- 1:09:48Speaker 8: This has always been on the field.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: He's always been on the field. And I think a
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: lot of coordinators like being on the field because they
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: want to talk to the players coming off the you know,
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: between times. The phone call doesn't do it justice right.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: You want to be in their face and talking about things.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: But a lot of offensive coordinators like to be up high.
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: Well, I wonder if it's by Williams' preference or it's
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: just Josh as a field guy, and Vrabel wants one
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: of his coordinators up top.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know, really good view up there. Yeah,
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: we'll see. Like when Deanp's was here for a little bit,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I think he liked to be up up top as
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: a defensive coordinator. Okay, you know, so we'll say Michael's
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: in Connecticut. What's up, Michael.
- 1:10:31Speaker 17: I just have a question and a quick story. My
- 1:10:35Speaker 17: question is how you guys philipon another corner coming in
- 1:10:37Speaker 17: like Gilmore as like the fourth corner. And then my
- 1:10:40Speaker 17: story is I started to listening to you guys about
- 1:10:42Speaker 17: ten years ago because of my brother Jane. We lost
- 1:10:46Speaker 17: him a few years ago to Otfield percoma. But we
- 1:10:48Speaker 17: are having an event to honor him October fourth at
- 1:10:52Speaker 17: the y PA of Great harperd who partnered with Children's
- 1:10:55Speaker 17: Medical Hospital. So we're looking for players, donors things.
- 1:10:59Speaker 16: Like that can go to the Day.
- 1:11:01Speaker 17: Green Foundation dot com.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Okay, you do that, and if if you want to
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: send our community relations the letter on letterhead from the foundation,
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Patriots might be able to donate something. You're a New
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: England foundation, so I would do that. Go onto the
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Patriots dot com slash community and I think there's an
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: area there where you can, uh you know, to get
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: donations and stuff. Uh yeah, so you can do that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: You know, Patriots might give you some signed items. I'm
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: sure you're gonna probably have like a silent auction or
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: something like that.
- 1:11:35Speaker 20: We may have a wrap.
- 1:11:37Speaker 17: Yeah details, but yeah, thank you.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Okay, sounds good. Thanks for calling in, Michael, appreciate it.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: Let's see, Well you talked about the bringing in a corner, right, yeah, Killmore,
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: I mean yeah, I would love that.
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: What are you up to?
- 1:11:52Speaker 8: That's the thing? What is on the street?
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: I think you know he's always been a guy.
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: Who he's turned into a journeyman.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Well he's turning into journey but he doesn't like just
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: go to the next team like he has. He has
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: a price and he's not going to play for less
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: than that price.
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: So he's like, I don't get out of bed.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Yeah at this point, like should the Patriots be spending
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: money on yet another corner? Listen, if he wants to
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: come here, like one of these guys are going to
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: go down for a game or two, if not more,
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: and to have a guy like Gilmore, you know that
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: that would be awesome.
- 1:12:26Speaker 8: Yeah, it works out do it?
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: But yeah, where is he though? In terms of his
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: are fall shit? Are you ready?
- 1:12:36Speaker 16: Yeah?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Mark writes in from Cheddar A bit late to the party,
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: but I found the Brady statue very disrespectful. He has
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: done so much for the Patriots organization they can't even
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: find a space for him within the Hall of Fame.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: Presented by Raytheon. It's been abandoned outside in the cold,
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: the height of disrespect. Serious question time. Eric apply to
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: be the sculptor, so he's being sarcastic.
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: I hear Matt laughing at.
- 1:13:08Speaker 8: We should get you on a ladder and you can
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: kiss the statue's cheek.
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: Yeah, that'd be a big ladder. Yeah, you can't have
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: it in the Hall of Fame, it's too big.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: It was obviously statues are for outside. He was being
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Marcus being sarcastic.
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: Fun Eric Diggs last two this week.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Uh, Travis, who claims to be an aquarius? Would you
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: rather have Drake May running right from jump streep to
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: put it on film or keep it in your back
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: pocket and ambush a team with it in week five
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: or six. I don't think whether or not you do
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: it in preseason. It's gonna make teams know he can run,
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: and teams know they're gonna have some design runs for him.
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: It's also like he's not he's obviously not a run
- 1:13:55Speaker 8: for a sky. But it's like the Titans game last year,
- 1:13:58Speaker 8: it was like, hey, this is what we're doing it
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: and it wasn't even always like designed. It was there's
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: nothing there I'm going to run and get fifteen yards
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: and do it twelve times.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Listen, I think as a quarterback running early and now
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: I'm not talking about design run. Now, I'm talking about
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: like you know, play runs. You see open field go.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I think that's good because it gives that other team. Okay,
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: we got to watch out for this, now, you know.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: And again, the more the defense has to defend, the
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: tougher you are to defend. Fred. You're totally right. Astrology
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: is man made and should be for entertainment purposes.
- 1:14:35Speaker 15: Only.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Making assumptions of others based on their sign is horribly
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: prejudicial and unproductive. There that's fine, But.
- 1:14:44Speaker 8: To s Aquarius are creative people. I'm an Aquarius.
- 1:14:47Speaker 17: I like I'm a creative person.
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: I think the shoes fit a lot of times.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: So I'm a cancer, but I feel I'm creative.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: So what I'm wrong? No, but you can look into
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: things that cancers are.
- 1:14:58Speaker 21: I know.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: But that's the way they write these things though they're
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: never wrong. They're all written with broad strokes.
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: This is going to be some a little newsletter assignment
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: for me. I think.
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: Okay, I'm psycho analyze.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: You can make any astrology reading fit any person.
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: I don't think that's true.
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: Okay, see the newsletter.
- 1:15:22Speaker 15: Behind it.

- 1:24:29Speaker 2: This is Chris in Vancouver. Last week or the week before,
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: there was an emailer who was harping, insulting one of
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: the younger callers, Nate.
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: Nate.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: He likes to be the first caller on the shows. Personally,
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: I love hearing curiosity from younger callers regarding this sport.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: I think Nate should keep calling and screw that person
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: who emailed and tried to insult Nate. At least he
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: has the cajones to call. Keep it up, Nate. My
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: question is for everyone with bronc Lampey injured, have you
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: seen or heard anyone else taking snaps at the full
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: back position in practice? I'm very curious if Josh will
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: proceed with one this year. Little Bobby Brady there, Jack West,
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: We've seen you see the guy? Yeah, maybe I feel
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: like he could the body type.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Like bring back Yakubill No, I think he is. He
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: with the Texans. I think Jakub hooked up with a team.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: I'd love to have him back, but I think he's
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: with He might be with the Texans.
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: A tough loss right when we announced her Germany market.
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: Yeah, he's with the Texans.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: He's with the Texans. There you go, Alex Oh John says, Alex,
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: I'm an Aquarius.
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: Okay, a lot of Aquarius listeners.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you think about Ben Brown at starting
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: left guard? In Wilson at center. Bradbury's deficients are really
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: starting to show, and I personally think taking a look
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: at Wilson at center could be a big improvement for
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: this offense. Is Bradbury's deficiency showing like where we've seen that.
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: I think he's had a hot and cold camp, but
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: once again, it's still early. At least we have options,
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: some options.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: I mean a lot of people think Wilson eventually will
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: end up at center, and it's a little bit much
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: as a rookie to throw him in in there right away, but.
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: Maybe a good situation just having them kind of split
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: on a situation by situation basis.
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: Garrett's getting older.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: I will say though that there's a lot of I think,
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: you know, I think there's a lot of options at
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: left guard on this team right now. You know there's
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Kayden Wallace, there's Cold Strange obviously, including of course Wilson.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: So that would be a position where I think there
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: might be a little death. Yeah.
- 1:26:58Speaker 8: Versatility is good too, because like a ligne, there's times
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: where it just gets beaten up. So at least multiple
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: guys you can play from there.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Jacket and Arbors says, I'm a Pisces and I know
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: that sign fits me because I work for Scale.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: What is that?
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: Oh fish, gotcha?
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: Gotcha?
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: Good on that?
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: One.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Jack also says, after seeing the Jets man handle the
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Packers thirty to ten at Lambeau, should we Patriots fans
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: be concerned that the Jets will no longer be too
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: reliable wins in the schedule.
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: No, it's a preseason, a preseason game, and I've seen
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: a lot of clips of Justin Field's not being able.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: To I mean, should the league be quaking in their
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: boots because the Patriots scored forty eight points? Yes, you
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: know what I mean? You can't tell from that.
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: I think a perfect example is the Lions went four
- 1:27:48Speaker 8: and oh in the preseason the year they went oh
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: and sixteen. I'm pretty sure there you go.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't think the Jets are an easy out.
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: No, they have some they have some weapons, but I mean, yes,
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: it's not it's definitely not easy two wins, but they've
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: there's been some worrying videos of Justin Field's going around
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: right right, so that's the quarterback.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: He might stink. Yeah, and if that happens, okay, Patriots
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: should win. But Jeffson have have and have had a
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: lot of talent.
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: I like their coach. They have, Garrett Wilson. Still sauce
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: Gardner like they're not. They're not pushovers, that's for sure.
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: And even the years they were bad, their defense was
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: pretty tough.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Jeff writes in love all the zodiacal talk today.
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: Thanks Jeff.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: I agree with Alex Rabel being a LEO is great
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: news for the Patriots. But do we know where his
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: moon is placed in his natal chart?
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: So this is what I was trying to explain to
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: Fred during the break when I read him his There's
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: a lot of aspects that go into it, with where
- 1:28:47Speaker 7: you were born, what time you were born.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: So I'll try to get the full chart. I'll work
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: on that this season.
- 1:28:54Speaker 10: No reread it.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Chris in the UK currently from Virginia. We're going to
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: the Titans game in October and looking for tips advice
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: on what you or the team might be planning in
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: these games. Prior to the game in town, I have
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: no idea. No, I did at all look to the clubs. Yeah,
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: the fan club in Nashville's uh one. Yeah, really it's
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: a big one.
- 1:29:18Speaker 8: There'll be stuff to do before and after the game.
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: Bumping City.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: That's that's a very active and well organized fan club.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Having looked at the fan Zone, the information is a
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: bit sparse, so hoping you might have more details, you
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: go to the Nashville fan club site. So I'm wondering
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: when he refers to the fan zone, is he's talking
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: about the fan club registry, because then the fan zone
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: if you go to the fan club Registry and then
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: you just type in the state or city and any
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: fan clubs in that area will pop up. It's on
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: the club to update their page. Yeah.
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: You can also probably find a lot of the clubs
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: on social media. Look on Instagram, on Twitter, Facebook, they'll
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: post stuff.
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Last couple of days, so a little bit more activity,
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: a lot of like clubs coming out. Have you noticed that?
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: But why is that?
- 1:30:12Speaker 8: Like I feel that happens. I feel like that happens
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: every time around this time of year, like just people move.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: I didn't know if like we put something out there
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: to remind people about it.
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: Every time, we should promote that every time we mentioned
- 1:30:25Speaker 7: it on the show. I see more like applications and
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: sign up.
- 1:30:29Speaker 8: Yeah. No, there's a lot of clubs, but it's usually
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: around this time of year a bunch of new clubs
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: pop up.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: Yeah. And the other good thing about it is if
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: you're a bar, you can actually register your bar as well,
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: as long as you're being honest and you actually do
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: show the Patriots games on Sundays, you know, please do that,
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: because it becomes a real good tool. If you're traveling
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: around and you want to watch the Patriots game with
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: other Patriots fans rather than just like in a hotel room,
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: you can use the fan club Registry to define places
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: to watch the game. He says. The fan Zone also
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: lists a venue in Williamsburg, Virginia for fan meet ups,
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: but but it lists that the venue was closed. Is
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: there someone responsible for updating and maintaining this information? Bred well,
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: the bar. We don't in the bar, So when we're done,
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: go look up Williamsburg and delete them if they're actually closed.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: But I know that, I know.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: There's also a good club in Virginia too. I can't
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: remember which city or town it is, but there used
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: to be a really active Virginia fan club. I think
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: it was called Patriots Fans of Virginia.
- 1:31:40Speaker 8: It makes sense.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well sometimes it's a city, yeah, you know, but
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: it's a good tool. I don't think we promoted enough
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: the fan club Registry, uh so, but it's there under
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: fan Zone on Patriots dot Com. Uh Sean and Vancouver.
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Based on Rabel's recent interview, it sounds like Dougger is
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: still working his way back recovering from an injury. Hopefully
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: that's the case and he'll be back to being one
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: of the NFL's top strong safeties. Did we get a
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: sense from Rabel that he's still hurt? How do we
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: know that?
- 1:32:15Speaker 8: I think he really mentioned it.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:32:17Speaker 8: I missed it.
- 1:32:18Speaker 6: I feel like he kind of not gleazed over.
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: But that was the one point where we got coach
- 1:32:23Speaker 7: speak because they were He was asked if he would
- 1:32:26Speaker 7: consider moving him to linebacker, and Rabel was like, we'll
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: consider everything that would be good for the football.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: He was.
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: Comparing Dougger. Would you do something to Dougger.
- 1:32:39Speaker 18: Like you did?
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: Oh, then my mistake.
- 1:32:41Speaker 6: That's how I heard it.
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: Maybe I'm wrong, but could that makes sense? I think
- 1:32:47Speaker 8: it's gonna be interesting to see how much Dougger plays
- 1:32:49Speaker 8: on the weekend.
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't. I don't think that would
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: work out for Dougger either moving down No, No, you know,
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: he's a good hitter, but linebacker, I don't know.
- 1:33:02Speaker 6: Like, and it's still redundant for Peppers.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, and their ability hasn't been a strong suit.
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: So if coverage is it's tough at safety. What's he
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: going to do when Bowers is coming across the middle.
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: You know, I don't know. Maybe he could be good,
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: but yeah, that's that's an ongoing situation there is.
- 1:33:22Speaker 15: Uh.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: I think map who too, like what's going on with him?
- 1:33:26Speaker 10: You know?
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one of those interesting picks. I mean, he
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: was getting reps with the fourth string on, you know,
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: last Friday, So I don't know what's going on with
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: him either. I mean, like you mentioned it earlier, Alex
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Taviuy Map who dugger Jennings? Like, where do they fit?
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: Are they going to find a place for them?
- 1:33:47Speaker 15: You know?
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: I like Jennings as a player, you know, I hope
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: he sticks. I think you could find things for him.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: But you know, with Landry in here now and it's
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: they've upgraded, Yeah for sure. Uh, Tim our friend from
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: Duncan right say? And I think Fred you're onto something
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: regarding the backup quarterback situation. I think Rabel also intimated
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: that maybe he needs to get someone else altogether. We
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: may see some interesting backups being released during cutdown day.
- 1:34:21Speaker 8: Yeah, I think which interesting one to be cut.
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: But I don't know are there any backups that are interested.
- 1:34:29Speaker 8: I'm not the backup quarterback connoisseur, but now it'll be interesting.
- 1:34:34Speaker 8: See this could be a big game for Woodridge.
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: So Zach says he's from Pennsylvania. Fred, you don't have
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: to read this out if you don't want to. I
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: do just glad to hear you pushing back against the
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: ridiculous idea that the day and time you were born
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: as any significant impact in someone's personality continue to be
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: the stalwart representative of the skeptics. By the way, I'm
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: a Taurus.
- 1:34:57Speaker 6: It's a very Taurist take.
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: Yes, oh is it?
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: I would think so there's like billionaires that have like
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: personal astrologists on their own staff. There's like hedge funds
- 1:35:08Speaker 7: and investment banks that have astrologists like full time helping
- 1:35:13Speaker 7: them strategize when to make deals or like this isn't
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: just whooo okay woo.
- 1:35:21Speaker 6: I'm a little woo, but like, I think there's some
- 1:35:24Speaker 6: legitimacy into this. We don't have to discuss it further.
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: Okay, uh ash and Olympia Washington. Perhaps I'm overthinking this,
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: but Javon Baker makes a big catch in the OTAs
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: and celebrates after a touchdown and gets a talking to
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: by the coach. We all wonder at his maturity. Mac
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: Collins makes a big catch and celebrates after a touchdown
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: by kicking the ball, and we all marvel at the
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: energy he brings to the practice. Could you explain why
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: these events are treated differently? Okay? And I don't know,
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: but I'm guessing here. The Hollands one came at a
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: time where it was sort of it was a touchdown,
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: so it ended a drive. The Baker one was just
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: a big catch, get back to the huddle, Like your
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: celebration can't take up time from getting back to the huddle.
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: I'm just guessing that might have been the situation.
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: Well, there's also just like this is a vet who's
- 1:36:19Speaker 8: done it before and a second year player who's like.
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: Maybe, but Rabel has been vocal about you should celebrate,
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: but if it's second down you make a big catch,
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: third down's coming up, we got to get back to
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: you know. And he said, I like to run my
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: practices like the game, you know. I don't like guys
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: substituting from behind the play. They should substitute from the sideline.
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: You know, one play leads into another. There shouldn't be
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: a lot of you know, time between plays. We should
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: handle our practices like the game. So if you're spending
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: too much time celebrating after a play that's leading into
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: another play, I can see where you might get a
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: talking to. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe his was a
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: touchdown too. I don't know, but I think the email
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: of would have said it was a touchdown.
- 1:37:03Speaker 8: If it was a touchdown.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: Hollins was after a touchdown, so that's different.
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: Also, when we were talking about Baker, I think we
- 1:37:08Speaker 6: were kind of just playing like Devil's Advocate. I don't
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: even know if that was really a narrative that people
- 1:37:13Speaker 6: were upset with Baker celebrating, because I don't think.
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: Those people were upset. Vrabel was upset, right, I don't know.
- 1:37:20Speaker 6: I think Baker's.
- 1:37:23Speaker 7: He looks like a guy that knows like he could
- 1:37:25Speaker 7: totally get caught and have to have a real job,
- 1:37:28Speaker 7: like in the next month, and I think he's rising
- 1:37:31Speaker 7: to that occasion. He seemed like he had a good
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: day yesterday too, trying to make an impact on special
- 1:37:36Speaker 7: teams too. So and like all those guys that came
- 1:37:40Speaker 7: in like, if it's Polk or Baker, I give the
- 1:37:43Speaker 7: edge to Baker.
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: Yeah, Anthony writes in I've been gifted two tickets to
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: the Patriots Bucks game in Tampa, so I'm going with
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: my fiance and I'm wondering if you guys have been
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: down there before and can you recommend any restaurants, events,
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: things to go the do down there? Just go to
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: school in Tampa, but that was a long time ago.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: But I will tell you if you want to go
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: to one of the best steakhouses in the country, Burns
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: in Tampa, but I think they don't let you make
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: a reservation further than two months out, so check your calendar.
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: But if you can get into Burns, it's a it's
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: a good experience. That's good. I mean, what do they
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: call it? Not Columbia, But there's an area down there
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: that's like really has a lot of bars and restaurants.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: Begins with a sea.
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: Never been to Tampa, been once, but I'm just more
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: of a South Atlantic Florida girl.
- 1:38:41Speaker 8: I've read how many times have you been for like
- 1:38:43Speaker 8: with the Pats, because last time I played here is
- 1:38:45Speaker 8: what twenty seventeen.
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: I haven't been to Burns since I was in college.
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: That's the last time I went. But I know it's
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: still Thereampa A few times, Yeah, yeah, quite a few times.
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: It's changed a lot since I went to school. There's
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: it's a could see and then not far away is
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: you know, really nice beaches, you know Clearater, Clearwater and
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: Saint Pete. So there's a lot. You know, Tampa is
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: the city is a lot to do, just like anyone
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: else everywhere else, but Burns is famous. We're nationwide. So
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: if you like steak, try to get into Burns. Let's
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: see Ottawa Pete from Ottawa cleaning pools in South Florida.
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: A little bit of a complaint, he says. I hear
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: it mostly from Paul, but can you please use the
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: full names or last names of the mics around the team.
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: I know Paul is besties with all of them, but
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: often he is rambling loll about how Mike said this,
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: and Mike said that. There are three very important mics
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: related to pu. I usually eventually figure out who he's
- 1:39:52Speaker 2: talking about, but it takes a bit, So do so
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: Braible who else? Mike who Jerse, that's a good one, Yeah,
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: Mike Felger.
- 1:40:05Speaker 6: But that's just Felger.
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: No, but he's meant you know, he's mentioned a lot. Yeah,
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: so good shout out, Good shout out, Mike.
- 1:40:14Speaker 6: There's more.
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: Dinner plates, writes in and I'll read this because they're
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: a sponsor, I've got to give a shout out to
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: my new brunt underwear, fastballs, karate kicks, medieval re ennapmens, spears,
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: blow torches, and viat for men. Don't put a scratch
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: in these things. I walk like I'm riding a horse,
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: but I'm well protected. Sometimes it's all where, it's all where.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: When I'm watching it's all allware. When I'm watching the
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: Patriots from my Bob's discount couch. They ever make a
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: chastity version, I'm getting it for my daughters.
- 1:40:49Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: Nice. Nice.
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: What does he do for a living talking about blow
- 1:40:54Speaker 6: torches and oh, medieval.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: He's obviously a comedians bos comic writer. There you go.
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: Another sponsor email Todd in North Carolina says Bob's Discount
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: Furniture just opened up there, so there you go. It's
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: in Fayetteville. So he needs some patio furniture and a
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: few things for my son's homework area. So he's going
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: to be heading over to Bob's code named pats right, yeah,
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: promo code.
- 1:41:23Speaker 8: Promo code code name.
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 1:41:34Speaker 8: A lot of emails just going through them.
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: Uh my Mira in Nigeria, right said our friends in Nigeria.
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: We're big. We're big in Nigeria. Did you know that.
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: I didn't know that, but it would make sense because
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: I feel like a lot of football players come from Nigeria.
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:54Speaker 8: Yeah, high school roommate was Nigeria and he got in
- 1:41:57Speaker 8: the football through Yeah.
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: I know. I think it's the Rams put their flag
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: in Nigeria as one of their jerip.
- 1:42:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:42:06Speaker 6: Yeah, Mike on Wendy's parents are from there.
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Anyway, Mirror writes in I hope we're still allowed
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: to share off season topics during the preseason because my
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: husband just pulled a Fred and allowed our dog to
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: lick potato chip crumbs off his fingertips. It's not exactly
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: the same as buffalo sauce, but I felt compelled to
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: capture the moment for you guys. Anyway, did I send
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: you this picture?
- 1:42:29Speaker 16: Ye?
- 1:42:29Speaker 15: I did.
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so we'll have that in the newsletter. No, yeah, definitely, Okay, No,
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: we want to telling me what to put in the newsletter.
- 1:42:38Speaker 15: Well you.
- 1:42:40Speaker 6: The newsletter, So I do what you asked.
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: No, you're the creator, you created it.
- 1:42:45Speaker 6: I upkeep it.
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: Well, now you're the creator on a weekly basis. You created.
- 1:42:54Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: I got to twist my arm and I think that's
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: perfectly appropriate. Mirror.
- 1:42:59Speaker 6: Uh you know, yeah, it's still the off season, definitely.
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: I mean we'll always take it.
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: It's your dog, it's your family.
- 1:43:07Speaker 8: The dog licks you so what you know, licking the
- 1:43:11Speaker 8: chips off your fingers. But then do you go back
- 1:43:13Speaker 8: into the bag.
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no no. It's
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: when you're done.
- 1:43:17Speaker 6: It's when at the bottom of the bag.
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: You're finished. Now you're watching TV and.
- 1:43:22Speaker 6: You're like, what are you gonna do? Be a slob
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: and like empty the bag of crumb.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: No, no, it's when you're done with your buffalo wings
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: or whatever. You don't have the dog lick and then
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: go back.
- 1:43:31Speaker 6: That's like I don't have a wet nap. I don't
- 1:43:34Speaker 6: want to get up go to wash my hands.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: It's it's the finishing touch, so to speak. Cameron from Brookline.
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: Two quick things. First, Baker's catch was a touchdown. I
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: was at the practice that day, all right, so I
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: stand corrected. I think my things right then, But like
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: Hollins has done it before, maybe second. With fantasy season
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: coming up, many people have fun ways to pick players
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: that don't involve stats. Do you all have non serious reasons?
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: A player may make the roster that doesn't have to
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: do with talent. An example, may just got a ring
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: so he's more likely to get another. Not really, no,
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: you don't.
- 1:44:17Speaker 8: I just don't draft from certain teams, like what teams
- 1:44:21Speaker 8: Jets like reluctantly We'll do Garret Wilson. But that's it.
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: I retired from fantasy, locked in. I don't know the
- 1:44:29Speaker 6: time for it.
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: John in South Carolina says there is no legitimacy to astrology.
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: It's a gateway drug to conspiracy theorists. So I don't
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: I see she's getting mad upset. I wait a minute,
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: no body language, body language, you're you started quivering.
- 1:44:53Speaker 6: I think conspiracies.
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: Everyone wants to be a conspiracy theorist because people love
- 1:44:59Speaker 7: just being ab to like have information that other people don't.
- 1:45:02Speaker 7: It makes them feel important. But really a lot of
- 1:45:04Speaker 7: times it's like you just have too much time on
- 1:45:07Speaker 7: your hands. Astrology and the stars can be like the
- 1:45:13Speaker 7: ancient Greeks who'd like discovered math were worried about this stuff,
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: and for some reason, some like big cataclysmic event happened
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: that wiped out most of the population, and then we
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: got away from that stuff.
- 1:45:26Speaker 6: But I mean, if you can use.
- 1:45:28Speaker 7: The stars to predict the tides of the ocean, you
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: don't think it has any other based on math, And so.
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: I don't know. There's an interesting rabbit hole anyway.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: John says that.
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: Intersect Christianity and astrology and the Venn diagram where those
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: two things meet.
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: It's just a fascinating rabbit hole to go down, and
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: I'll leave.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: It at that.
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: Fred is right. It's just written broadly so people find
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: enough relatable to accept it. Okay, there are football players
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: that use the same socks every game without washing them.
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: It doesn't mean and stinky socks make you a good
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: football player.
- 1:46:02Speaker 7: Astrology is not some random thirty year old chick who's
- 1:46:07Speaker 7: paid by Vogue or US Weekly to write an astrology column.
- 1:46:12Speaker 7: That's not astrology like that. It's kind of astrology. But
- 1:46:15Speaker 7: that's just like a column in a magazine. Right, This
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: is this is your reading for the day. That's all
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: just some random girl writing about this stuff that's not
- 1:46:24Speaker 7: the actual.
- 1:46:25Speaker 6: Science of it. Okay, science and quotes ends an ology,
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: it's a science.
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: Linda writes in I'm a Libra on the cusp Cusp
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: of Scorpio.
- 1:46:36Speaker 16: Me too.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: I know co Star for quite a while from a
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: family member who is a founder and still part of
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: the leadership driving content development is very what I don't
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: know what that means.
- 1:46:48Speaker 8: Co Star is an astrology out.
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: Oh is it?
- 1:46:50Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: Oh? Okay, Now on to the Patriots. There's a lot
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: of hope for the season. National media is on board,
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: and even some of the wet blankets are thinking, there's
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: it's this year. Do you think that Poke could go
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: to IR opening a spot for another wide receiver? He could, well, yeah,
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: I think he definitely could go on IR. I wonder
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: if even I don't think he's taken up a spot
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: though at this point, So like when you say, oh,
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: would that open up a spot for another wide receiver?
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: I think he's the one looking for a spot to
- 1:47:22Speaker 2: open up.
- 1:47:23Speaker 8: It's just such a tough situation to see a second
- 1:47:26Speaker 8: year pick potentially be done after a year. Yeah, second round, Sorry.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Dan says. Horoscopes are the new Rivers have ties, that's
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: what I was looking for.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: Horse. It's not just a horoscope, Like, that's just a
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: random girl's writing that for a column.
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: Okay, so that's different than astrology.
- 1:47:44Speaker 6: It's not super different, but horoscopes are based on astrology. Yes,
- 1:47:51Speaker 6: so horoscopes, I agree.
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: Like usually it's just like, okay, whatever, this is vague
- 1:47:55Speaker 7: enough to apply to anything. But it's not like you're
- 1:47:59Speaker 7: a cancer. I'm a libra. There's traits associated with that
- 1:48:03Speaker 7: and there I don't know.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: This is like a whole no, but I know, but
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: there are people like like if they're dating and they
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: find out you're a certain side, I can't date you.
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: Well, I tend to date geminis and leo's and I'm
- 1:48:15Speaker 7: most compatible as a libro with geminis and leos, So.
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: You date them before you know that they're correct, right,
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: And then.
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: Later I learn and I'm like, oh that'd interesting.
- 1:48:26Speaker 7: Yeah, and like really start like high powered athletes being leos, Like, okay,
- 1:48:33Speaker 7: that makes sense.
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: Would you consider yourself an expert?
- 1:48:36Speaker 18: No?
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: Oh, okay, because I was going to say, maybe this
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: could be a segment.
- 1:48:39Speaker 6: I might turn it into I might become an expert
- 1:48:42Speaker 6: just for this.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: This could be a weekly.
- 1:48:45Speaker 6: I need to find a way to clap back at
- 1:48:47Speaker 6: some of these emailers.
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll do a reading breakdown.
- 1:48:52Speaker 8: C Well you should.
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: Actually what you should do is get all the players birthdates, yes,
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: those are all readily available, and their signs, and then
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: and predict what's gonna happen based on their zodiac signs.
- 1:49:04Speaker 6: Which Drake may August, yeah, but it's August now and
- 1:49:10Speaker 6: vrabels of Leo, like that wasn't Drake early August? Yeah,
- 1:49:13Speaker 6: so he might be Virgo's next. I gotta think of
- 1:49:17Speaker 6: what comes up. I don't know he's a Virgo. Oh,
- 1:49:26Speaker 6: his birthday's coming up. It hasn't happened yet.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: Drake's yeah, Drake, So that means he's not going to
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: be good.
- 1:49:33Speaker 7: My siblings are Virgos. They know it's a very prepared sign.
- 1:49:39Speaker 7: Like they're very organized, very prepared, okay, like.
- 1:49:43Speaker 8: An organized quarterback, fiery, fiery, okay.
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: Virgo athletes Kobe Bryant, Patrick Homes not bad. But based
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: on the description you gave of Leo, I would say
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: Kobe Bryant would be.
- 1:49:59Speaker 7: More you would think, so, right, Maybe he's right on
- 1:50:02Speaker 7: the cusp though, so maybe he picks up like I'm
- 1:50:05Speaker 7: a like our wonderful emailer.
- 1:50:08Speaker 6: I'm a Libra on the cusp of Scorpio, and I
- 1:50:11Speaker 6: get a lot of Scorpio tendencies in my libra. This
- 1:50:16Speaker 6: is like gibberished friends. There you go, so right on
- 1:50:23Speaker 6: the verge of Leo.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: I'm on the verge of tears. Let's see who is
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, I can't read all of this, but
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: Martin is just from outside of London.
- 1:50:38Speaker 6: Ah.
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: What if the NFL had a player loan system like
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: we have in soccer here in the UK. Imagine young talent,
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: a promising rookie who's buried on a stack roster, who
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: could get real game time elsewhere instead of just riding
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: the bench or getting cut. No team would It's cool,
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: but it's too violent a sport. Not enough team. Yes.
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: The good thing about soccer in Europe is they have
- 1:51:03Speaker 2: all these different it's.
- 1:51:04Speaker 6: Different leagues, that's the thing.
- 1:51:05Speaker 8: Sometimes alone leagues like Chelsea was in the finals years
- 1:51:09Speaker 8: ago or something in Europe. I think it was Chelsea
- 1:51:12Speaker 8: and like their goalie started against him in the final,
- 1:51:14Speaker 8: and one within the Premier League I think it was
- 1:51:16Speaker 8: Champions League.
- 1:51:17Speaker 6: Well, Champions League is different leagues.
- 1:51:20Speaker 8: Yeah, but it can be two English teams versus each other, right,
- 1:51:22Speaker 8: but it would be it'd be interesting like last year,
- 1:51:25Speaker 8: we could have loaned out some players.
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: So is Matt Turner back on the Revs.
- 1:51:28Speaker 8: Yes, on a loan on alone, right, yes, right?
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: And he's starting at goal I think so a keeper
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry, a keeper, keep keeper, goalie.
- 1:51:38Speaker 8: He's doing doing a push for the World Cup. So okay,
- 1:51:42Speaker 8: well they won, right, Yeah, they got a star coming
- 1:51:46Speaker 8: Saturday against him, human Son from Tottenham. He just signed
- 1:51:50Speaker 8: with LA Oh.
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, and I like that. Carlos Heel passed U
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: twelve men for all time goals for the team.
- 1:52:00Speaker 8: Great play, he's good. Like if you put him on
- 1:52:02Speaker 8: another team, he's a great player. He's he's carrying a
- 1:52:06Speaker 8: very bad team right now.
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: Jack writes in Jack, I replied something about his last email.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: I forget what it was, he said. The reason I
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: asked about that option at left guard? Oh, moving Wilson
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: over in center. It's because multiple reports from camp, one
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: from Evan I believe, show that they have pulled Wilson
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: from left guard and replaced him with Brown. Just some
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: context to the question when did this happen?
- 1:52:35Speaker 8: Got to ask Evan Minnesota. Yeah, it must be Minnesota.
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: I I maybe in the game, but in the practice
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: I thought it was Campbell and Wilson right yesterday.
- 1:52:48Speaker 8: So I guess. So he's saying Brown got a couple
- 1:52:50Speaker 8: of reps at left guard.
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: Sure, a lot of people got reps at guard. Yeah.
- 1:52:53Speaker 8: Yeah, I think that's just what he's saying.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh Brown is versatile. Yeah yeah, you need
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: versatility on the line. Injuries will happen. Uh. You know
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: they say inside you should be able to play all
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: three positions, you know, So I'm not surprised at that
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: at all. Tony in Ottawa. We have had Pete in Ottawa.
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: Now we have Tony and Ottawa. I noticed we went
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: back This is about the intro songs. I noticed we
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: went back to the original Crazy Train intro against Washington
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: last week. Is that here to stay for the regular season? Personally,
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: I'm a big fan of it and want to keep
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: the tradition going. Well, they kept using it last year,
- 1:53:35Speaker 2: but it was remix. It was a remix with.
- 1:53:37Speaker 8: Let's Go or something. But I wonder if Ozzie pass.
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: Of course we talk about that.
- 1:53:45Speaker 8: I like there wre songs you could.
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: Have as a running out song. So I would like
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: to get some a new tradition going. Yeah, how are
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: the T shirts going?
- 1:53:59Speaker 8: Ask Matt?
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: I see a lot of emails of people looking for
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: T shirts today. Five cent out today, five out of
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: how many?
- 1:54:07Speaker 10: No, that was all fun?
- 1:54:08Speaker 8: Okay, you address five hundred now they're good. People like them.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: But like, if you're if you're not someone who did
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: something in the past, how do you get a.
- 1:54:19Speaker 8: T shirt from bringing back trivia? We are bringing it back.
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: We're going to bring it back.
- 1:54:25Speaker 8: Yeah, Okay, we're gonna run that back. Yeah, running it back.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: Okay, howls complimenting me.
- 1:54:30Speaker 17: We'll get them to you faster.
- 1:54:31Speaker 8: There you go.
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: Okay, show love to Matt. Okay, all right, maybe you
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: have a good game.
- 1:54:38Speaker 6: Do we have something? Paul was one of them, Yeah something.
- 1:54:41Speaker 8: Do you have a couple of reviews on the new shirts?
- 1:54:43Speaker 15: People are liking them.
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: People like them, like the material, and they're not they
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: don't hate the logos. The first wash will be the
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: big thing. How has it come out in the wash?
- 1:54:52Speaker 8: I just washed mine.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: It was good.
- 1:54:53Speaker 8: It's good.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: I washed and size.
- 1:54:57Speaker 6: You need people to make like user generated content reviews
- 1:55:00Speaker 6: of the T shirt.
- 1:55:01Speaker 8: I do want to add the world's original podcast to it,
- 1:55:04Speaker 8: like the next the next model.
- 1:55:07Speaker 6: Well that has to be a spell and I can't
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: say like all the podcasts.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: So just so that you know, if we're gonna put
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: it in writing, you know this, it's debatable if we're
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: the words worlds are rigid. No, no, no, no, But
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: there is no debate that we are the world's longest
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: running So use that verbiage. The world's longest running podcast.
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: That's a fact that that's indisputable.
- 1:55:32Speaker 8: Taking it to the grave.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: Ye, So put that on it.
- 1:55:35Speaker 8: Okay, But yeah, I think they look good though. If
- 1:55:38Speaker 8: they like them, I'm happy we get.
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: Some definitely some caps. But but so like on the
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: cap though, it's gonna look good right there, you know.
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: So we got to figure that out.
- 1:55:51Speaker 19: I just want to see that logo on a cat.
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: The one behind me. But isn't it too horizontal for
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: a cat? You think it would look? Okay, we can
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: make it work. You can make it work. Well, we'll talk,
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: we'll talk to the guys. Okay, better hat than the
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: training camp hat though. Yeah. And I also, you know,
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: we had a very limited run of the Forged and
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: Foxboro T shirt.
- 1:56:16Speaker 6: That's a great T shirt.
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: Yeah, sold like fifty in a day in the Pro Shop.
- 1:56:21Speaker 6: They're really soft and really nice. I wear that T
- 1:56:24Speaker 6: shirt like three ds.
- 1:56:25Speaker 2: That's a good t s form the house.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: So unfortunately the Patriots don't run their own e commerce anymore.
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: It's fanatics.
- 1:56:33Speaker 6: I wish we did.
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: But if I have a friend in Foxboro, send them
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: down to the Pro Shop to get pick up a
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: forge in Foxborough while they're still there.
- 1:56:40Speaker 8: Yeah, probably gonna have to reprint those.
- 1:56:42Speaker 7: That's a good problem now, Yeah, because after that material
- 1:56:46Speaker 7: the content brand.
- 1:56:47Speaker 6: Yeah, forty seven does a good job. It's a forty
- 1:56:49Speaker 6: seven brand T shirt.
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: Jeremiah. Astrology is just a lot of vague descriptions that
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: apply to everyone if you try hard enough. The more
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: descriptive it gets, the more you see that you are
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: pretty much related to all the signs. That way, it
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: covers up for all the generalizations it is wrong about.
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: It is my very humble opinion. Don't get offended.
- 1:57:10Speaker 6: I'm not getting offended. I didn't create astrology, but believe
- 1:57:14Speaker 6: in it. I do believe in it. Yeah, And the
- 1:57:18Speaker 6: more I read about it, the more I believe in it. Okay,
- 1:57:20Speaker 6: So I think a lot of people have just not
- 1:57:22Speaker 6: taken the time because they think they're above it. If
- 1:57:26Speaker 6: you took the time, gave it a chance.
- 1:57:28Speaker 7: You might be like, hey, I mean, what's wrong with
- 1:57:32Speaker 7: learning about your strengths and weaknesses and trying to live
- 1:57:36Speaker 7: to your fullest potential knowing what your weaknesses are?
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: Nothing but astrology.
- 1:57:43Speaker 6: Well, let's go back to your uh, your reading. He
- 1:57:50Speaker 6: agreed with all the positivity.
- 1:57:51Speaker 10: Do you have a co star?
- 1:57:52Speaker 6: No, but we would need to find out when he
- 1:57:55Speaker 6: was born and what time and what city? Do you
- 1:57:57Speaker 6: know what time you're born at? Do you still have
- 1:57:59Speaker 6: your birthday?
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: It was either eight the morning or eight at night.
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: I can't remember. Providence, Rhode Island.
- 1:58:07Speaker 6: Okay, So I'll see what I can do with that.
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:58:09Speaker 7: Cancers loyal, protective, creative, and imaginative, tenacious, determined, moody and sensitive.
- 1:58:19Speaker 6: Overly attached to the past.
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: No, I'm not attached to the past. I'm always looking forward. Well,
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: maybe you're on the cusp maybe June twenty fifth.
- 1:58:34Speaker 6: End of the month, you might be on the cusp
- 1:58:36Speaker 6: of another sign July twelfth, that's your birthday or your
- 1:58:41Speaker 6: your cancer too?
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:58:42Speaker 15: I know.
- 1:58:42Speaker 6: Did you relate to that reading?
- 1:58:44Speaker 2: Maybe all right, that's going to be it for astrology today.
- 1:58:50Speaker 6: Astrology unfiltered.
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So Catch twenty two is at four four
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: o'clock Eastern time.
- 1:58:58Speaker 6: Actually maybe a little.
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: Oh, he has become a diva, all the different places
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: he's on.
- 1:59:08Speaker 6: No, he's going on, nesson, he's going to go on.
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: He's going to go on another show.
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: Does he know that four o'clock our time is three
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: o'clock his time? Okay, I just want to make sure,
- 1:59:19Speaker 2: all right, So Catch twenty two is coming on later today.
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: I'm heading out to Minneapolis tomorrow, and then we've got
