Speaker 3: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. This is Curly and I have
• 0:50
Speaker 3: in studio Lisa Odie, the Queen. Hello, and I have
• 0:55
Speaker 3: Hollis Lewis who couldn't make it to the studio and
• 0:59
Speaker 3: he's on He's on the line today.
• 1:01
Speaker 4: So do we have an all right?
• 1:04
Speaker 5: We got him out there making things happen.
• 1:06
  Speaker 4: All right?
• 1:07
Speaker 3: In most cases, I usually like somebody to start off
• 1:11
Speaker 3: on some kind of a story or a topic that
• 1:15
  Speaker 3: they have.
• 1:17
Speaker 4: I don't know if this is fortunate or unfortunate.
• 1:21
Speaker 3: But I I am this this butler thing.
• 1:26
  Speaker 5: This butler thing.
• 1:27
Speaker 3: Did you hear that, did Jimmy Butler Butler.
• 1:33
Speaker 5: Yes, O man, And.
• 1:36
Speaker 3: I will let you two say whatever you want to
• 1:39
Speaker 3: say after I kind of.
• 1:42
Speaker 4: Dig into this, and here's my here's my issue.
• 1:49
Speaker 3: My first question is, Okay, so he's played for he's
• 1:55
Speaker 3: fourteen years in four teams.
• 1:58
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 1:58
Speaker 3: Right with that being said, I'm going to ask the
• 2:02
Speaker 3: question or I'm going to make a statement. He's not
• 2:06
Speaker 3: Kobe Bryant. No, we're remotely close. He's not He's not
• 2:13
Speaker 3: himj not even remotely close. Okay, So wherever he ranks
• 2:18
Speaker 3: into where basketball is today, he is nowhere of somebody
• 2:23
Speaker 3: who I'm going to sit around and think about after
• 2:28
  Speaker 3: they retire.
• 2:29
Speaker 4: Like, you know, he may go into the Hall of Fame,
• 2:30
Speaker 4: he may do all those.
• 2:31
Speaker 3: Kind of things, but he's not going to be the
• 2:34
Speaker 3: guy who people are going to be like, oh yeah, man,
• 2:36
  Speaker 3: Jimmy butlery, I just don't.
• 2:39
  Speaker 4: I don't see that.
• 2:40
Speaker 5: You don't say you don't think he's the face of
• 2:42
Speaker 5: the NBA. No what you're saying.
• 2:44
Speaker 4: No, we're even close. He could be great, right.
• 2:47
Speaker 6: And just to provide context, he got suspended because he
• 2:51
Speaker 6: spent it in definitely for walking out of a practice
• 2:54
Speaker 6: or shoot around because he wasn't going to start the game.
• 2:57
Speaker 6: And outside of that, he's been going through various contract
• 3:01
Speaker 6: dispute to one out of Miami.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: And yes, and he and and and part of that
• 3:06
Speaker 3: too is not being at practice, coming to practice late
• 3:11
  Speaker 3: because it's.
• 3:12
Speaker 7: Been a pattern of behavior absolute to the suspension. In fact,
• 3:16
Speaker 7: didn't he have a suspension and then got suspended again?
• 3:19
Speaker 5: From the way I understand it, Yes, yes.
• 3:23
Speaker 3: My question my question or not. I'm not even gonna
• 3:28
Speaker 3: impose this as a question. I'm gonna state this to me,
• 3:31
Speaker 3: this is where new athletes, not every new athlete, but
• 3:37
Speaker 3: the but the talented athlete who's not top tier but
• 3:43
Speaker 3: he's in. He's somebody that you might know and and
• 3:47
Speaker 3: has great stats and all that kind of stuff. But
• 3:51
Speaker 3: he's not Michael Jordan. He's not Kobe Bryant. What makes
• 3:56
Speaker 3: him think that the fact that we're talking about him,
• 4:01
Speaker 3: he should be bothered by that because we're not talking
• 4:05
  Speaker 3: about his game.
• 4:06
Speaker 4: We're talking about his.
• 4:07
  Speaker 5: Actions, right, and.
• 4:10
Speaker 3: That behavior that he that conduct, that what he tries
• 4:13
Speaker 3: to show towards at the end of everywhere he's gone.
• 4:19
Speaker 4: To me, he thinks he's way better than the game.
• 4:23
Speaker 3: He thinks he's more important than the game and what
• 4:26
Speaker 3: he deserves and what he gets that should that should
• 4:30
Speaker 3: come automatically because he deserves it, and I'm saying, no,
• 4:33
  Speaker 3: you do not.
• 4:35
Speaker 6: Paullus, Well, I think it's one of those things where
• 4:40
Speaker 6: I don't know far as the legacy is concerned, that
• 4:44
Speaker 6: he is concerned about how he's portrayed in this limited
• 4:49
Speaker 6: you know, in this scenario. And unfortunately, I think that
• 4:54
Speaker 6: you know, this is sort of the motive oparandus of
• 4:57
Speaker 6: how athletes are you know, they're not beholden to a team.
• 5:03
Speaker 6: They don't care about that if they want to leave,
• 5:05
Speaker 6: it's time to go. Particularly in basketball, they're saying, hey,
• 5:09
Speaker 6: you should let me out. I should be able to go,
• 5:11
Speaker 6: and I should be able to negotiate the terms that
• 5:14
Speaker 6: I want to leave. In fact, I want to go
• 5:15
Speaker 6: to this team. So that's a lot. A lot of
• 5:17
Speaker 6: basketball players have moved, you know, kind of in the
• 5:20
Speaker 6: Lebron era. And to your point, I mean, he's definitely
• 5:23
Speaker 6: not those guys, but he is, you know, a good
• 5:26
Speaker 6: player in this generation. So it's not something that's going
• 5:30
Speaker 6: to necessarily I don't think it hurts his legacy, but
• 5:33
Speaker 6: it doesn't help them either.
• 5:34
Speaker 3: Well, let me let me let me respond to that
• 5:36
Speaker 3: real quick. Okay, okay, but now Lebron jumps around. I
• 5:41
Speaker 3: didn't say anything about where you play, right, you know,
• 5:45
Speaker 3: I don't care if you want to go play somewhere
• 5:46
Speaker 3: else and you want to negotiate all that kind of stuff.
• 5:49
Speaker 4: My question or my concern is.
• 5:53
Speaker 3: You go through all that and then you're gonna show
• 5:57
Speaker 3: up practice late, You're gonna leave practice because you're mad
• 6:00
Speaker 3: at something, something didn't go your way.
• 6:03
Speaker 6: But again, I think I would agree with you in
• 6:06
Speaker 6: that this definitely is not professional. But at the same time, again,
• 6:11
Speaker 6: particularly has it in basketball NBA basketball, it just seems
• 6:15
Speaker 6: like just how those guys move if you're not willing
• 6:18
Speaker 6: to concede to the things that they wanted, the mass trade,
• 6:22
Speaker 6: so and so forth, that they feel like, hey, tray
• 6:25
Speaker 6: me now, I shouldn't have to wait. I'm ready to
• 6:27
Speaker 6: go now. I have the power, I have the leverage,
• 6:29
Speaker 6: which in this case, I don't know if that's true
• 6:33
Speaker 6: with him, because I you know, I.
• 6:34
Speaker 7: Don't know, Well, he was eligible for an extension that
• 6:37
Speaker 7: the heat did not grant so far, so I think
• 6:40
Speaker 7: that that's been on the table for some time.
• 6:42
Speaker 5: Is that crack guys? I think so y, So he's
• 6:44
Speaker 5: a little upset about that.
• 6:45
Speaker 7: But I will say this, and this is kind of
• 6:48
Speaker 7: a side note to what we're talking about with this
• 6:50
Speaker 7: behavior and his suspensions. But he recently, and I think
• 6:54
Speaker 7: it was even maybe today, he made a video with
• 6:57
Speaker 7: he and his friends and he was making this Joe
• 7:00
Speaker 7: video of where he's making a purchase from a cashier
• 7:04
Speaker 7: let's just say wherever, some type of merchant, and his
• 7:08
Speaker 7: card is declined, and so the guy says, oh, you're
• 7:12
Speaker 7: currently unemployed, so your card doesn't work here, sir, and
• 7:14
Speaker 7: they all laughed and joked.
• 7:16
Speaker 5: Well, this was this was.
• 7:17
Speaker 7: I found this on like a heat Miami heat like
• 7:20
Speaker 7: media site, and I will tell you this, the fans
• 7:23
Speaker 7: were not amused. The comments that I read were just like,
• 7:26
Speaker 7: you know, can't wait until least somebody else's problem. You know,
• 7:30
Speaker 7: you're making forty five million a year. This is drawn
• 7:33
Speaker 7: out too long, This isn't funny. So obviously it's time
• 7:37
Speaker 7: for them to part ways. He needs to get out
• 7:39
Speaker 7: of Miami yesterday. The fans need to, you know, find
• 7:43
Speaker 7: some closure, and you know, whatever happens, wish him well,
• 7:46
Speaker 7: but definitely he's not going to be welcome there, regardless
• 7:50
Speaker 7: of whether he wants to stay or not, as.
• 7:52
Speaker 3: A as a as a former professional athlete, and putting
• 7:55
Speaker 3: professional athletes all in kind of one one, lenk Okay,
• 8:02
  Speaker 3: there is a there is a there's a there's a
• 8:05
Speaker 3: reality in your mind of how good you were even
• 8:11
Speaker 3: while you're playing, how good you are in that moment,
• 8:15
Speaker 3: and and as as great as I wanted to think
• 8:19
Speaker 3: I was. And we got a game on Sunday, and
• 8:24
Speaker 3: let's say we're playing to Washington Redskins and there's Daryl
• 8:27
Speaker 3: Green gonna be coming, and he's gonna We're gonna play
• 8:30
Speaker 3: the Redskins and he's gonna be back corner.
• 8:33
Speaker 4: It's not hard for me to watch.
• 8:35
Speaker 3: Him because I'm like thinking, man, he's even better than me.
• 8:40
Speaker 3: You know, I'm not trying to downplay me, but if
• 8:47
Speaker 3: he's not acting a certain kind of way, how can
• 8:52
Speaker 3: I if Kobe didn't do that? Yeah, if if if
• 8:59
  Speaker 3: I mean it's it's it's not.
• 9:03
  Speaker 6: I know.
• 9:03
Speaker 3: He doesn't think anything about any of that. He's just
• 9:06
Speaker 3: he's about him. Which is the problem in the game
• 9:10
Speaker 3: that no game, no professional sport that is a team sport.
• 9:15
Speaker 4: Are you the man from a from a standpoint.
• 9:18
Speaker 3: Of it's a team sport, dude, like, you can't you
• 9:21
Speaker 3: can't go beat five other players.
• 9:23
Speaker 4: You can't get out there by yourself and beat five
• 9:24
  Speaker 4: other players.
• 9:25
Speaker 7: And to your point, this doesn't help the NBA's calls. No,
• 9:27
Speaker 7: we already know viewership is way down. And so when
• 9:31
Speaker 7: you've got guys, you know, pulling these shenanigans on on
• 9:34
Speaker 7: social media and you know, making light, I mean, the
• 9:37
Speaker 7: guy makes millions of dollars and he's pretending like his
• 9:40
Speaker 7: cards to climb. I mean, in this day and age,
• 9:43
Speaker 7: that's probably not something to joke about.
• 9:44
Speaker 4: No, take that personal, right.
• 9:48
Speaker 6: Right, Yeah, But I also think again, just to play
• 9:51
Speaker 6: Devil's advocates, I mean, the NBA has created this and
• 9:54
Speaker 6: NBA players unfortunately have the leverage because you could take it.
• 9:58
Speaker 6: Because I could argue that you could place Jimmy Butler
• 10:02
Speaker 6: right now, because I think that what he wants to
• 10:04
Speaker 6: go to it. I think the landing spot is Phoenix
• 10:06
Speaker 6: and he'll be playing with Kevin Durants. So if you
• 10:09
Speaker 6: take a guy like Jimmy Butler and you take him
• 10:11
Speaker 6: to Phoenix or the Lakers, or Golden State or maybe
• 10:15
Speaker 6: Chicago or the Knicks. If you take a guy like him,
• 10:18
Speaker 6: they could possibly position himself for a championship. And again
• 10:22
Speaker 6: the NBA, unlike other sports, all it takes, maybe is
• 10:26
Speaker 6: that one guy to move and you can, you know,
• 10:29
Speaker 6: put yourself in a championship position. So they unfortunately or
• 10:34
Speaker 6: fortunately however you view it, they have the leverage at
• 10:38
Speaker 6: this point and they're exercising that leverage. And to their point, hey,
• 10:43
Speaker 6: I got the money, I can I could get fired,
• 10:46
Speaker 6: I could get suspend it. It doesn't matter because another team
• 10:49
Speaker 6: is going to pick him up. It's not as though
• 10:51
  Speaker 6: this hurts him.
• 10:52
Speaker 4: But okay, so let me let me challenge let me
• 10:55
Speaker 4: challenge you on this.
• 10:57
Speaker 3: Okay, the concept of Lebron and him winning a championship. Now,
• 11:04
Speaker 3: if he's not a dominant player, okay, then then there
• 11:08
Speaker 3: isn't a dominant player right now. But he is learning
• 11:12
Speaker 3: and has learned that you can't just be the only
• 11:15
Speaker 3: dude on the team and and win a championship. You're
• 11:19
Speaker 3: not gonna win a championship with just one guy anymore.
• 11:21
  Speaker 4: That's not happening.
• 11:23
Speaker 5: You have to have a supporting I mean.
• 11:25
Speaker 3: Go back and look, go back to look at Chicago.
• 11:29
Speaker 3: It wasn't just it wasn't just him j. They had
• 11:32
Speaker 3: some actual dudes. Scottie Pippen could play. He is not
• 11:38
Speaker 3: the guy, and and and and even to your point, Hollis,
• 11:41
Speaker 3: if if, even if I would agree to say that
• 11:44
Speaker 3: you can win with one guy, he ain't the guy he's.
• 11:48
Speaker 6: I'm not saying, well, I'm not saying that.
• 11:50
Speaker 4: I'm not saying I think I think what he's is No.
• 11:54
Speaker 4: I don't think I think he thinks he is.
• 11:56
Speaker 6: No. But I think with the I think he realizes
• 11:59
Speaker 6: with another guy, Uh, if I'm teamed up with Lebron,
• 12:02
Speaker 6: if I'm teamed up with Steph, if I teamed up
• 12:05
Speaker 6: with Kevin Durant, I think he realized that. That's because again,
• 12:09
Speaker 6: you're not asking to go to Phoenix and play with
• 12:12
Speaker 6: Kevin Durant. If you think you the guy, kids, you're
• 12:15
Speaker 6: not going to be the guy with him, You're going
• 12:17
Speaker 6: to be you know, batman or excuse me, Robin to
• 12:19
Speaker 6: his batman. You know what I mean.
• 12:21
Speaker 5: Well, and here's the other thing.
• 12:23
Speaker 7: When when do we say as a team, as an
• 12:25
Speaker 7: NBA team like the Phoenix Suns, when do they say,
• 12:28
Speaker 7: you know, we don't need this toxic person in our
• 12:31
Speaker 7: locker rim, we don't need this guy making you know,
• 12:34
Speaker 7: he thinks funny videos on social media that kind of
• 12:39
Speaker 7: you know, makes fun of people without money and their
• 12:42
Speaker 7: cards getting declined. When when does a team stand up
• 12:45
Speaker 7: and say we don't need that. I mean, sometimes you
• 12:47
Speaker 7: can back yourself into a corner. Do you not agree
• 12:49
Speaker 7: with with your behaviors like that?
• 12:51
  Speaker 6: I think you're right to a degree. But I also
• 12:54
Speaker 6: think they're saying, hey, this guy would and I think
• 12:57
Speaker 6: he stated at the onset a coach that, helly fourteen
• 13:00
Speaker 6: years in so it ain't like he's going to be
• 13:03
Speaker 6: there for another ten or fifteen years. We're gonna have
• 13:05
Speaker 6: this guy for you know, a year to maybe three
• 13:08
Speaker 6: years max. So if we could keep him for anywhere
• 13:11
Speaker 6: from between the three excuse me, one to three years,
• 13:14
Speaker 6: possibly win a championship, possibly get to a championship, Hey,
• 13:18
Speaker 6: we'll deal with the consequences thereafter. So I don't think
• 13:21
Speaker 6: he's a looking at these guys, a guy like Jimmy
• 13:24
Speaker 6: Jimmy Butler, and I don't want to say he's a journeyman, but.
• 13:30
  Speaker 4: I would. I think that's right.
• 13:35
Speaker 6: I think he's a little bit above that far as
• 13:37
Speaker 6: talent and what he's been able to do with, you know,
• 13:39
Speaker 6: particularly in places like Chicago and in Miami. But he's
• 13:42
Speaker 6: not a Steph Curry. He's not. He's not the Greek freak.
• 13:45
Speaker 6: He's not Lebron. He's not on that level. So hey,
• 13:48
Speaker 6: I could deal with even out and if it gets
• 13:50
Speaker 6: too bad, Tom, you know, I'll get out.
• 13:53
Speaker 4: I'm not gonna risk.
• 13:54
Speaker 3: I'm not gonna risk the chemistry of what I have
• 14:00
Speaker 3: bring him in because there has to be somebody as
• 14:03
Speaker 3: as talented as him who doesn't have because I already
• 14:07
  Speaker 3: know I've seen everywhere he's gone there's an issue, there's
• 14:11
Speaker 3: something that he said, something he's done, something that I
• 14:15
Speaker 3: don't like. Everywhere he's gone and here he is now
• 14:19
Speaker 3: still doing the same exact thing. And I agree with
• 14:23
Speaker 3: the Hollis that I think he'll end up somewhere. You know,
• 14:27
Speaker 3: I don't think the NBA will will will not somebody
• 14:31
Speaker 3: won't grab him. But my reason of wanting to hit
• 14:35
Speaker 3: this subject was because this is something that has this behavior.
• 14:42
Speaker 3: This kind of stuff is totally new in professional sports.
• 14:48
Speaker 3: Not totally and I don't mean brand new, but it's
• 14:51
Speaker 3: it's new. There's always been players who thought they were
• 14:55
Speaker 3: good in most cases. Though they had that, they actually
• 15:00
Speaker 3: did have that. They didn't say it.
• 15:02
Speaker 5: They could back it up.
• 15:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, they could back it up. You know, if Lt.
• 15:06
Speaker 3: Lawrence Taylor starts talking, if he started talking some smack
• 15:10
Speaker 3: about like he deserves this amount of money in a contract,
• 15:14
Speaker 3: or he's not coming to training camp, everybody is looking
• 15:18
Speaker 3: at that and they're buying that cause he's potentially the
• 15:22
  Speaker 3: best linebacker to.
• 15:24
Speaker 4: Have played the game.
• 15:25
Speaker 3: Right, Jimmy Butler, what what what do you say about
• 15:30
Speaker 3: him when he's dead? He's me as far as eperserd.
• 15:34
Speaker 4: He's me. Dude, you played, you played some time and
• 15:37
  Speaker 4: you did great.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: But you're not on that or you're not on you're
• 15:42
Speaker 3: not on Kobe Bryant's level.
• 15:44
Speaker 4: You just don't get it.
• 15:46
Speaker 5: But didn't the heat kind of create this monster? I
• 15:48
Speaker 5: mean I would go.
• 15:49
Speaker 7: They allowed a lot of things special for him, which
• 15:52
Speaker 7: I understand. If this is the guy, this is your
• 15:54
Speaker 7: market man, and he's making the money and he's bringing
• 15:56
Speaker 7: in the fans, I get it. They do get special
• 15:59
Speaker 7: accommodations compared to the other, you know, team team members,
• 16:02
Speaker 7: But to a degree, there's gotta be some resentment when
• 16:05
Speaker 7: the guy gets to fly on his private jet and
• 16:08
Speaker 7: he's allowed to skip on, you know, right practices or
• 16:11
Speaker 7: be late, and there's no ramifications when there are ramifications
• 16:14
  Speaker 7: for them.
• 16:15
Speaker 5: So to me, there's.
• 16:16
Speaker 7: There Maybe maybe I'm totally off base on this, but
• 16:20
Speaker 7: to me, I feel like there there may be some
• 16:22
Speaker 7: maybe some size of relief from that team when they
• 16:25
Speaker 7: realize that he's moving on.
• 16:26
  Speaker 3: I don't know, and I and I think that to
• 16:29
Speaker 3: your point, the problem that we had with herschel Walker
• 16:35
Speaker 3: was this was the actual reality of what special things
• 16:39
Speaker 3: that they did for him to get him right, Okay,
• 16:42
Speaker 3: and not not just that, but the players that we
• 16:44
Speaker 3: had to give up to to solidify the trades right
• 16:51
Speaker 3: and then at he could never blend in because one
• 16:57
Speaker 3: like you just can't come in, and and and the
• 16:59
Speaker 3: idea was he was so great, He's the guy that's
• 17:02
Speaker 3: gonna take us to the.
• 17:03
Speaker 5: Mountains, take us there.
• 17:04
Speaker 3: Well, we're sitting there, We're looking at him and trying
• 17:07
Speaker 3: to figure out, like in practice, we're trying to figure
• 17:09
Speaker 3: out like, well, well, he's no better than some of
• 17:13
Speaker 3: the guys that we lost. We need those guys compared
• 17:16
Speaker 3: to him, we can get a running back, right, right,
• 17:19
Speaker 3: So I kind of feel like he And again I
• 17:23
Speaker 3: think he felt he felt special, but he could never
• 17:26
  Speaker 3: fit in.
• 17:28
  Speaker 4: In Minnesota because.
• 17:31
  Speaker 5: That's that doesn't happen.
• 17:33
Speaker 3: It just doesn't happen because because that had, that was
• 17:35
Speaker 3: something totally new. And I'm going to make the case
• 17:38
Speaker 3: that while these guys will hang out with him, maybe
• 17:41
Speaker 3: speak to him, maybe all of that, they don't like it.
• 17:46
Speaker 4: They don't like it.
• 17:48
Speaker 6: I would argue, I mean, I would argue, and again
• 17:51
  Speaker 6: I think that's I don't know if I would make
• 17:54
Speaker 6: that compression. I don't know. No team in it. I
• 17:55
Speaker 6: don't think any team in the NBA that would possibly
• 17:58
Speaker 6: land Jimmy Butler with think oh, he's going to be
• 18:01
Speaker 6: the same, He's gonna get us to the promised land.
• 18:02
Speaker 6: I think any team that lands him they realize that
• 18:06
  Speaker 6: he's just a piece.
• 18:07
Speaker 3: I'll say this, I'll say this, I'll say this to you. Yes,
• 18:11
Speaker 3: if you come in and be part, but if you
• 18:14
Speaker 3: start saying all this crazy stuff and you start doing
• 18:16
Speaker 3: all this crazy stuff and I'm not talking about but
• 18:21
Speaker 3: that's what he's but but my my, my comparison, my
• 18:26
Speaker 3: comparison is Herschel just didn't have what everybody thought he
• 18:31
Speaker 3: had at that at the professional level to take a
• 18:34
Speaker 3: team that was already close enough.
• 18:40
Speaker 4: My problem with Butler.
• 18:41
Speaker 3: Is he he's not He thinks it is about him,
• 18:48
Speaker 3: and it's not going to be It's not going to
• 18:50
Speaker 3: be you. And you said it earlier, but you said,
• 18:52
  Speaker 3: but you said.
• 18:53
Speaker 4: If he it's somebody else. Okay, I don't think he does.
• 18:58
Speaker 6: You're not You're not want to go play with Kevin
• 19:01
Speaker 6: Durant if you don't realize that. You have to realize
• 19:04
Speaker 6: that if you're going to go play with Kevin Durant
• 19:06
Speaker 6: in Phoenix, that you're not going to be the number
• 19:09
Speaker 6: one option here, and that's just what it is. You
• 19:11
Speaker 6: are going to be a piece of a building block
• 19:14
Speaker 6: to them getting to a championship because you just don't.
• 19:18
Speaker 6: If that's the case, then you stay in Miami where
• 19:20
  Speaker 6: you already are.
• 19:26
Speaker 7: But but listen, So I agree with what you're saying.
• 19:29
Speaker 7: But what if he walks in to this locker room
• 19:32
Speaker 7: and expects the same treatment that he got at you know,
• 19:35
Speaker 7: with the heat, and he's going to change his whole
• 19:40
Speaker 7: mindset because he changed teams.
• 19:43
  Speaker 6: I think you're I think what he's doing now he's acting.
• 19:45
Speaker 6: Actually he wants to leave Jimmy Butler. That's his motive operatas.
• 19:49
Speaker 6: He does good for a while, far is that, and
• 19:51
Speaker 6: then when he gets antsy or when things aren't working out,
• 19:53
Speaker 6: then he wants to go. Like I said, I think
• 19:55
Speaker 6: he's going to last two or three seasons.
• 19:56
Speaker 4: There maybe three people.
• 19:59
Speaker 6: And that's if if that he's fourteen years in at that.
• 20:02
  Speaker 6: It's not like he's not that. I mean, he's he's
• 20:05
Speaker 6: a I'm not second calling him a second rate player,
• 20:08
Speaker 6: but he's not on that superstar players above. I don't
• 20:11
Speaker 6: call him that. He's a really really good NBA player,
• 20:14
Speaker 6: but he's not you know, Lebron, he's not the rant.
• 20:17
Speaker 6: But while we was talking about the NBA, you know,
• 20:21
Speaker 6: Adam Silver, he has said over the last couple of months,
• 20:24
Speaker 6: because at least that you mentioned it, about the falling
• 20:27
Speaker 6: ratings and the NBA over the particular the last twelve
• 20:29
Speaker 6: years and the rule changes. And I read today that
• 20:33
Speaker 6: one of the rule changes that he is proposing is
• 20:36
Speaker 6: to drop the quarters from twelve minutes to ten minutes,
• 20:41
Speaker 6: so instead of twelve minute quarters, there will be ten
• 20:43
Speaker 6: minute quarters. And basically the justification that he gave that
• 20:47
Speaker 6: it would align with you know, timing of basketball around
• 20:53
Speaker 6: the world to get the games down a two minutes.
• 20:55
Speaker 6: So what are you guys thoughts on that, and what
• 20:58
Speaker 6: other rules changes do you think would help, you know,
• 21:02
Speaker 6: get the NBA's breaking back up.
• 21:04
Speaker 5: So they play four quarters in NBA, correct, so that the.
• 21:07
Speaker 6: Fans for twelve minute quarters, okay.
• 21:09
Speaker 7: But they'll go down to ten basically, is that what
• 21:11
Speaker 7: you're saying. So, so the fans lose eight minutes of
• 21:14
Speaker 7: viewing Tom, they get less.
• 21:16
Speaker 5: They get less for the money.
• 21:19
  Speaker 3: But I don't think I'm right where I'm right where
• 21:23
Speaker 3: is because here's the other thing. Let's just say, okay,
• 21:27
Speaker 3: it cost me twenty five dollars to get in for
• 21:31
Speaker 3: twenty twelve for twelve cheap seats.
• 21:34
Speaker 4: Yeah, for cheap seats for.
• 21:36
Speaker 3: A twelve minute game, a twelve quarter game. Yeah, for
• 21:39
Speaker 3: a twelve quarter game. I've just used it in number.
• 21:42
Speaker 3: Now you're gonna cut me down to ten minutes, and
• 21:45
Speaker 3: you're gonna still charge me the.
• 21:47
Speaker 5: Same amount of money, exactly.
• 21:49
Speaker 4: A man, I'm not going for that.
• 21:51
Speaker 6: You're looking at it from a wonderful But what I'm
• 21:53
Speaker 6: saying is what you get. And I think that if
• 21:55
Speaker 6: you got a ten minute quarter, so that way, you
• 21:58
Speaker 6: got a forty minute game, I think you get a
• 22:00
Speaker 6: more intense game. Remember the college basketball is basically a
• 22:05
Speaker 6: ten minute quarter game. And I think that if you
• 22:08
Speaker 6: go to that the NBA, you can get a more
• 22:10
Speaker 6: intense game house. And I'll sacrifice those minutes for a
• 22:14
Speaker 6: better intensity because that way, right now, you don't got
• 22:18
Speaker 6: time to dally dally. You got to get to it
• 22:20
Speaker 6: because it's coming to fast, because you'll be surprised. That's
• 22:23
Speaker 6: like losing two minutes in basketball is like losing five
• 22:26
Speaker 6: or six in football. Two minutes of basketballs forever. So
• 22:30
  Speaker 6: I think you'll get a better thing.
• 22:32
  Speaker 5: Well, I mean that's that's that's that's a good point.
• 22:35
  Speaker 7: I'm not sure, but I mean I think that's a
• 22:38
  Speaker 7: good theory.
• 22:40
Speaker 5: Now whether that plays out or not, that's another story.
• 22:42
Speaker 7: But I do think the fans with you at as
• 22:45
Speaker 7: losing time and spending the same amount of money for
• 22:49
  Speaker 7: I mean, I don't know if that's the right move.
• 22:51
Speaker 5: It could be, could be.
• 22:53
Speaker 6: Because we talked to it, because they talked and we've
• 22:55
Speaker 6: mentioned like not just us, but I think fans they
• 22:59
Speaker 6: mentioned like cutting down on the season, because generally like that,
• 23:03
  Speaker 6: I would go, I.
• 23:04
Speaker 4: Would say, that's where I would go.
• 23:07
Speaker 3: I would cut the season, I would cut down the games,
• 23:10
Speaker 3: leave the time on the clock, because when I pay
• 23:13
Speaker 3: for that, I want to get as much. I don't
• 23:15
Speaker 3: care what you as the player want. I want as
• 23:18
Speaker 3: much of the game as I can get.
• 23:20
  Speaker 6: I want a better game you can. I don't care
• 23:23
Speaker 6: about if you're just playing longer, great, well here's the problem.
• 23:26
  Speaker 3: But here's here's here's how you get a better game.
• 23:30
Speaker 3: You have less games, because you have less games.
• 23:34
Speaker 4: And they all matter.
• 23:39
Speaker 6: I mean, like I said, I'm not necessarily opposed to that,
• 23:43
Speaker 6: but I think realistically they're not going to do that
• 23:45
Speaker 6: obviously because the ticket sales. But I think this is
• 23:48
Speaker 6: the happy medium. I think if you cut the games down,
• 23:50
Speaker 6: and I think you can get more intensity within the
• 23:53
Speaker 6: games that have already being played because you don't have
• 23:56
Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, you're losing a minute.
• 23:57
Speaker 4: You're losing almost sport.
• 23:59
Speaker 7: If that's coming from an educated fan, when you talk
• 24:02
Speaker 7: about the layman fan that's taking little Johnny to see.
• 24:04
Speaker 5: You know, whoever play in the NBA. You want as
• 24:07
Speaker 5: much time as possible.
• 24:08
Speaker 3: Or let's do better than that. Let's don't go to
• 24:09
Speaker 3: little Johnny, let's go to the owners. Let's go to
• 24:13
Speaker 3: the people who are making the money, because we need
• 24:18
Speaker 3: we want people in the seats, and we got people
• 24:21
Speaker 3: in the seats for X number of games. You you know,
• 24:25
Speaker 3: I'm not giving that up.
• 24:27
Speaker 4: I don't want to give that up.
• 24:29
Speaker 5: So we'll just cut off to give a game.
• 24:33
Speaker 6: I rather sacrifice the minutes within the game.
• 24:35
  Speaker 4: If I'm a.
• 24:35
Speaker 3: Player, take the games away, because that and that allows
• 24:39
Speaker 3: me to play more.
• 24:40
  Speaker 4: If I'm a fan, you know, I don't. I probably
• 24:45
Speaker 4: don't want either one, to be.
• 24:47
  Speaker 5: Honest, that's true.
• 24:48
  Speaker 4: Because if I can't, if I.
• 24:49
Speaker 3: Can't watch it, if I can't watch that game, you
• 24:52
Speaker 3: know what I say to myself, I watch it next
• 24:54
Speaker 3: week or in a couple of days, there's another one
• 24:56
  Speaker 3: on next day.
• 24:57
  Speaker 4: That's a couple of days.
• 24:58
Speaker 5: Because there's so many and it's just it's just overload.
• 25:02
Speaker 7: I mean, they start and what do we what decide
• 25:05
  Speaker 7: in October maybe.
• 25:07
Speaker 6: At October y pre season stuff like that.
• 25:09
Speaker 7: And the finals end in June. Right first week of June.
• 25:12
Speaker 7: I mean that's almost year round.
• 25:14
Speaker 3: You're already back, you're you're just about ready to start football.
• 25:18
Speaker 7: Right by the time, it's just and you can get
• 25:22
Speaker 7: tired of it. I mean, it's just a lot. And
• 25:24
Speaker 7: then they have to compete with when college basketball gets
• 25:26
Speaker 7: exciting in March, you know that that kind of drops
• 25:29
Speaker 7: off their viewership. I'm sure people would rather watch the
• 25:32
Speaker 7: college you know, collegiate tournament.
• 25:35
  Speaker 5: But I don't know. I think it's a good try.
• 25:38
  Speaker 5: I mean it's a good start.
• 25:39
Speaker 6: Well, okay, what else? What else would you try? I mean,
• 25:42
  Speaker 6: my what's that?
• 25:45
Speaker 5: Cut games four minutes?
• 25:48
Speaker 6: Besides that, they're not going to so what what do
• 25:50
Speaker 6: you do to they're not cutting games? We know that
• 25:52
Speaker 6: they're not going to do that. So if you're not
• 25:54
Speaker 6: going to cut games, what else do you do if
• 25:56
Speaker 6: you're the NBA to fight viewership?
• 26:00
Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the time the time thing is a
• 26:02
Speaker 7: good start, like I said, and see how it goes.
• 26:04
Speaker 7: It may make things better. I think they have to
• 26:06
Speaker 7: try something. They have to do something, and I think
• 26:08
Speaker 7: that's a good place to start. But if that doesn't work,
• 26:11
Speaker 7: then they have to look at cutting back the season.
• 26:13
Speaker 6: In my opinion, See, I'm I'm coaching gonna like this.
• 26:17
Speaker 6: I think again, I think you start with what the
• 26:22
Speaker 6: NFL did. I think you do because the NFL, when
• 26:24
Speaker 6: they were having problems to cushings everything like that. They
• 26:27
Speaker 6: actually went back to you. They started to heads up programs,
• 26:31
Speaker 6: started to educate the coaches and everything like that in
• 26:33
Speaker 6: order to improve tackling at the at the bit at
• 26:36
Speaker 6: the migic league level or the little league level. So
• 26:39
Speaker 6: I think basketball needs to go back and do that
• 26:42
Speaker 6: and start to you know, educate coaches and actually bring
• 26:47
Speaker 6: back position basketball. So right now, because it sounded nice
• 26:52
Speaker 6: when you have positionless basketball, so when you have a
• 26:54
Speaker 6: seven footer who can you know, shoot and do all
• 26:57
Speaker 6: the things and and dribble and all that. But I
• 27:00
Speaker 6: think what happens is it sort of blends the game
• 27:02
Speaker 6: out where everybody's doing the same thing. So I think
• 27:06
Speaker 6: you need more shocks, right, You need more alan iverson.
• 27:10
Speaker 6: You need those dynamic players who look drastically different that
• 27:14
Speaker 6: can do different things within the game because the game
• 27:17
Speaker 6: is almost like one. Notice like eating, it's like eating
• 27:19
Speaker 6: the same food every day and it's the same thing
• 27:22
Speaker 6: every day. It's no variety, no change. So I think
• 27:25
Speaker 6: you started to make it. I think that you do
• 27:27
Speaker 6: in best and literally biddy basketball and bring back position basketball.
• 27:32
Speaker 4: See, and I think and we've got to take a
• 27:34
  Speaker 4: quick break here.
• 27:35
Speaker 3: But here here's the problem that I think that when
• 27:37
Speaker 3: you talk about position basketball, because I buy it, but
• 27:43
Speaker 3: you're not gonna get you know, the Unfortunately, there is
• 27:47
Speaker 3: a six to six point guard. He's he's been doing
• 27:51
Speaker 3: that forever and now you're gonna try to make him
• 27:54
  Speaker 3: a forward.
• 27:56
Speaker 4: That's gonna be you know, he's got to go to
• 27:58
  Speaker 4: the mat.
• 27:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's improblem And I just don't know these these
• 28:02
Speaker 3: these guys that are six five six six, handle the ball,
• 28:07
Speaker 3: pass it, shoot threes, all of that kind of stuff.
• 28:10
Speaker 4: They're no longer they're not going to put their back
• 28:12
Speaker 4: to the to the basket. They can make a move.
• 28:15
Speaker 4: And I'm not saying that, but that when you.
• 28:17
Speaker 6: Teach it when they're five and six years old, maybe
• 28:19
Speaker 6: they'll be accustomed to it. And I think if you
• 28:21
Speaker 6: bring back a philosophy of of of of traditional American basketball,
• 28:27
  Speaker 6: only if.
• 28:27
Speaker 4: You don't see it, make the game, only if you
• 28:30
  Speaker 4: don't see it.
• 28:30
Speaker 3: If you if if if you're a tall kid and
• 28:33
Speaker 3: you're middle school and you watch you're watching basketball, and
• 28:37
Speaker 3: you watch and you see a guy who's six '
• 28:39
Speaker 3: five that you know, you know, let's just say it
• 28:41
Speaker 3: was when magic was there. You didn't have all those
• 28:44
Speaker 3: people being there, wasn't everybody, everybody didn't have a magic
• 28:49
Speaker 3: But you see that guy and all of a sudden,
• 28:52
Speaker 3: everybody starts wanting to be that.
• 28:54
Speaker 6: Guy, right, true, I mean right, you're right about that.
• 28:58
  Speaker 6: So I can't.
• 29:00
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's a that's a tough thing because
• 29:03
Speaker 3: once you see the guy that's that.
• 29:07
Speaker 4: Tall, what do you what do you want to do?
• 29:09
Speaker 4: You want to go? You want to you want to
• 29:11
Speaker 4: be that guy, especially if you're that tall.
• 29:13
Speaker 3: Now if you if you if you're four foot short
• 29:17
Speaker 3: than that person, you're not you know, yeah, you want
• 29:20
Speaker 3: to be the guard.
• 29:21
Speaker 4: That's the only thing that you can be.
• 29:24
Speaker 3: And that unfortunately, that's that's a bad thing because and
• 29:28
Speaker 3: I say all, I say this all the time to
• 29:32
Speaker 3: especially when you start talking about football.
• 29:34
Speaker 4: Football is about metrics. It's about the metrics.
• 29:37
Speaker 3: You got to be this this hand, your armspan's got
• 29:42
Speaker 3: to be that, your speed's got to be that.
• 29:44
Speaker 4: It's in. Everything is about the metrics, even to get
• 29:48
  Speaker 4: a chance.
• 29:49
Speaker 6: But football is also about position. About football is that
• 29:55
Speaker 6: this guy plays this position, that guy plays that positions
• 30:00
Speaker 6: And that's why people love it because it's locked in.
• 30:04
Speaker 6: We know what these guys do basketball. Everybody's doing everything
• 30:09
  Speaker 6: they do.
• 30:09
Speaker 4: Change some guys, but I agree with you that in.
• 30:12
Speaker 6: Most cases we're talking about two or three guys on
• 30:15
  Speaker 6: the order team.
• 30:16
Speaker 3: I give you that. I give you that. I'm not
• 30:17
Speaker 3: trying to change it position. Yes, I give you that.
• 30:22
Speaker 6: That's why again it's locked in. We know what everybody's doing.
• 30:25
Speaker 3: All right, Well, we need to take a quick break,
• 30:27

• 31:30
Speaker 3: All Right, ladies and gentlemen, I think I think we've
• 31:34
Speaker 3: we've fought enough one.
• 31:35
Speaker 5: Let's move on to a new fight. What what the
• 31:38
  Speaker 5: new battle?
• 31:38
Speaker 4: What's the new battle? You got over there, Lacy, do
• 31:40
Speaker 4: you have it or this? Pologies?
• 31:42
Speaker 7: Oh well, I just wanted to like just throw out
• 31:45
Speaker 7: there a little bit, maybe have a little discussion about
• 31:47
Speaker 7: the AFC and NFC championships that took place this past weekend.
• 31:52
Speaker 7: Maybe start with the the NFC Championship, which would be
• 31:55
Speaker 7: the Eagles versus the Commanders, and of course the Eagles
• 31:58
Speaker 7: won that pretty handily. Yeah, fifty five to twenty three.
• 32:01
Speaker 7: Most people know that. There were some interesting things that
• 32:05
Speaker 7: I came across when I was doing some research about
• 32:07
Speaker 7: some of the past history of the AFC game, and
• 32:12
Speaker 7: I'm sorry, the NFC game and then what occurred on Sunday,
• 32:15
Speaker 7: And one of the things was that if you're going
• 32:18
Speaker 7: to be successful in these championship games at the end
• 32:21
Speaker 7: of the season, the one thing you have to do
• 32:23
Speaker 7: is protect the ball.
• 32:25
Speaker 4: You have to protect the ball.
• 32:26
Speaker 7: That is just historically, there's statistics out there. If you
• 32:30
Speaker 7: don't do it, it's not going to be a good
• 32:32
  Speaker 7: day for you.
• 32:33
Speaker 5: And obviously it wasn't a good day for the Commanders.
• 32:36
Speaker 7: They just could not hold onto the ball and they
• 32:39
Speaker 7: lost the three fumbles, and consequently the Eagles scored twenty
• 32:42
Speaker 7: one points off those turnovers.
• 32:44
Speaker 5: So right there was part of their demise.
• 32:46
Speaker 7: The other part of their demise, of course, was Sequon Barkley,
• 32:49
Speaker 7: but that was the biggest problem. They couldn't overcome their
• 32:52
Speaker 7: own problem mistakes. What do you guys think, all.
• 32:55
Speaker 3: Right, I'm going to first, I think that's absolutely actual.
• 33:01
Speaker 4: Yes, And and when.
• 33:04
Speaker 3: You start talking about turning over the ball, you just
• 33:07
Speaker 3: can't do you can't do it, especially playoff time. You
• 33:11
Speaker 3: shouldn't do it anytime, but playoff time. The teams are
• 33:14
Speaker 3: too good. They're gonna take advantage of it. Now, when
• 33:18
Speaker 3: you start talking about se Quon bark I contribute that
• 33:26
Speaker 3: situation to years of throwing the ball, Like we went
• 33:31
Speaker 3: through this era of everybody's throwing the ball and you
• 33:34
Speaker 3: don't really run it very much, and all.
• 33:37
Speaker 4: Of a sudden, you got it. You get a.
• 33:39
Speaker 3: Pretty decent a pretty decent sized guy who loves to
• 33:43
Speaker 3: run the ball and does not mind running.
• 33:45
Speaker 5: Act as well and does well.
• 33:48
Speaker 3: You're not used to that, just just as as let's
• 33:52
Speaker 3: just take it as just as a defensive back. You're
• 33:54
Speaker 3: so caught up in coverage, right, and nobody's running the
• 33:59
Speaker 3: ball thirty times a game, sure, And all of a
• 34:02
Speaker 3: sudden this team shows up and I keep seeing trying
• 34:07
Speaker 3: to figure out why am I making tackles?
• 34:09
  Speaker 4: You know, now, I'm I'm I'm.
• 34:10
Speaker 3: Mad because like, where's the linemen? Where are the buckers?
• 34:14
Speaker 3: Hey man, y'all need to make those tackles. I don't
• 34:16
Speaker 3: know that that shouldn't be getting to me when you
• 34:20
Speaker 3: when you, it's gonna be hard for anybody.
• 34:24
Speaker 7: Especially when Jalen Hurts has a good game as well. Yes,
• 34:26
Speaker 7: and they both were on points. If both of them
• 34:29
Speaker 7: are on point, it's gonna be hard to beat them.
• 34:31
Speaker 3: You got a run game, that is is that we've
• 34:34
Speaker 3: got to work on. That's new for us. We got
• 34:37
Speaker 3: to focus on the run game, just just the sweet, the.
• 34:42
Speaker 4: Dies, all of that.
• 34:43
Speaker 3: And now every single time that they go to pass,
• 34:48
Speaker 3: you got an issue with a quarterback that can run
• 34:51
Speaker 3: just as well as passed. Yes, so now you you
• 34:55
Speaker 3: you've got a double threat. Even if they don't throw
• 34:59
Speaker 3: the ball, well, you know, you still got a double
• 35:02
Speaker 3: threat that you have to stop.
• 35:04
Speaker 4: How do you do that?
• 35:05
Speaker 5: Yeah, Hollis, how do they do it?
• 35:07
Speaker 6: And I was gonna say the exact same thing, because
• 35:11
Speaker 6: what happens now is that defensively, not only do you
• 35:14
Speaker 6: have to account for Jalen Hurts passing the ball, but
• 35:16
Speaker 6: you have to he's a legitimate run threat. And then
• 35:18
Speaker 6: when you have dynamic running backs like Seykon Barkley, it
• 35:22
Speaker 6: just creates it puts your defense in peril because again
• 35:25
Speaker 6: you can't go one one and again I want don't
• 35:27
Speaker 6: lead the receivers out. You can't go one on one
• 35:29
Speaker 6: with Brown, You can't go one on one with those
• 35:32
Speaker 6: because they're gonna beat you every single time. So not
• 35:35
Speaker 6: like you can man up and crowd the box and
• 35:37
Speaker 6: then try to stop the run. So now you still
• 35:39
Speaker 6: got to sort of spread yourself out defensively, you some
• 35:42
Speaker 6: of those linebackers have got to account for Jalen Hursts.
• 35:44
Speaker 6: And then again, Sekon Barkley can run through you, around you,
• 35:48
Speaker 6: and over you. So that is just it creates a
• 35:51
Speaker 6: difficult situation. And I'll say this, I don't know how
• 35:56
Speaker 6: sa Kwon Barkley did not get consideration for the NFL MVP.
• 36:01
Speaker 6: He is and I'm gonna say it right now, he
• 36:05
Speaker 6: is the NFL MVP. I don't care what Lamar Jackson did.
• 36:10
  Speaker 6: I don't care what Josh Allen did. I don't care
• 36:12
Speaker 6: about the stats. I don't care about this being a computer,
• 36:15
Speaker 6: you know, a quarterback award, say Kwon Barkley. In my mind,
• 36:19
Speaker 6: if I had a vote, he's the NFL MVP. He
• 36:22
Speaker 6: took this team over the hump. I mean, most people
• 36:25
Speaker 6: consider his career dead with the Giants last year, and
• 36:29
Speaker 6: he come in almost a two thousand yard rusher and
• 36:31
Speaker 6: he's been dominant now good in the playoffs. He's been
• 36:36
Speaker 6: dominant in the playoffs.
• 36:39
Speaker 3: And I agree with that with a button. And it's
• 36:45
Speaker 3: not my butt, but the systematically, we as the league,
• 36:52
  Speaker 3: we see this.
• 36:54
Speaker 4: But man, you know we're we're quarterback oriented.
• 36:59
Speaker 3: Now we basically think that we are you know, it's quarterback,
• 37:03
  Speaker 3: it's the quarterback.
• 37:04
  Speaker 5: It's sexy.
• 37:07
Speaker 3: Yes, the quarterback is the sexiest guy on the field.
• 37:11
Speaker 3: And so until they can and and and again. You
• 37:15
Speaker 3: got to realize this run game while it is beating
• 37:18
Speaker 3: people down and he's he's getting his yards, he's running
• 37:23
Speaker 3: over people, he's scoring touchdowns.
• 37:26
Speaker 5: You hear more about Jalen Hurt.
• 37:27
Speaker 4: Yes, why would we even be talking about her?
• 37:31
Speaker 6: I did, like I said, I think we have to
• 37:34
Speaker 6: again we have sports like I think we're sports media
• 37:38
Speaker 6: to point right, but sports media reporters, writers like they
• 37:44
Speaker 6: gotta start reporting on the game. But I under sand
• 37:46
Speaker 6: it's sexy. But again, Skwon Barkley to me, was the
• 37:50
Speaker 6: best story in the NFL this year. He was the
• 37:52
Speaker 6: best story because I mean, we'll get to the teams.
• 37:54
Speaker 6: Nobody likes them. We don't care about Patrick Mahomes all
• 37:57
Speaker 6: he's great and all that, but we don't see that
• 38:00
Speaker 6: A Jackson was great, been great every year. Josh Hallen
• 38:02
Speaker 6: was great. He's been great every year. Say Kwan Blockley
• 38:05
Speaker 6: was the story this.
• 38:06
  Speaker 5: Ship this year.
• 38:07
Speaker 6: And what he's doing, I mean the moves that he's doing,
• 38:10
Speaker 6: the one he's leaping over people backwards, and he's just
• 38:12
Speaker 6: been so dominant. He definitely, in my mind, should have
• 38:15
Speaker 6: got MVP. And again to my and I would say, man,
• 38:19
Speaker 6: a running back position is been back. Absolutely but but
• 38:24
Speaker 6: but with the caveat and I'll give you a props, coach,
• 38:27
Speaker 6: and we'll talk about it when we get to the
• 38:29
Speaker 6: other side of this. You got to have a running
• 38:31
  Speaker 6: quarterback now.
• 38:32
Speaker 3: Absolutely, Yeah, choice, I've said that. I have said that
• 38:37
Speaker 3: for a while. If you do not have a running quarterback,
• 38:40
Speaker 3: you're you're you better have an awesome running back, man.
• 38:45
Speaker 6: Yeah, like a quarterback.
• 38:48
Speaker 7: Yes, And I'm gonna I'm gonna totally agree with you, Hollis.
• 38:51
Speaker 7: I don't even understand how he could be overlooked because
• 38:54
Speaker 7: let's just consider this, He's on the cusp of history.
• 38:57
Speaker 7: If he if he gains just thirty yards in the
• 38:59
Speaker 7: Super Bowl, he sets the all time record for the
• 39:01
Speaker 7: most rushing yards in a season including playoffs.
• 39:06
  Speaker 3: That's special. Yes, that's special.
• 39:10
Speaker 7: The record's currently held by Terrell Davis. But he could
• 39:13
Speaker 7: beat that with just thirty yards. And let's face it,
• 39:15
Speaker 7: he probably will get thirty yards.
• 39:17
Speaker 4: He'll have that, He'll have that in the first goal.
• 39:19
Speaker 7: And then some I would I would think, so, yeah,
• 39:22
Speaker 7: I agree. I don't know what happened there. The only
• 39:24
Speaker 7: thing I can think about is maybe, like I said,
• 39:27
Speaker 7: fans want to see quarterbacks in that in.
• 39:29
Speaker 3: That you come, you come to the games to see
• 39:34
Speaker 3: quarterbacks throw the ball, complete the pass, scramble and run
• 39:39
Speaker 3: a little bit. And and and if your team wins,
• 39:44
Speaker 3: who do we say we go right to the quarterback,
• 39:47
Speaker 3: We go right to the.
• 39:48
  Speaker 6: But I'm just I don't know. I agree, I meet.
• 39:51
Speaker 4: It right, but but and I'm looking for me.
• 39:55
Speaker 3: I think the reality of watching and and and let's
• 40:01
Speaker 3: let's think about who's watching now we've watched it. When
• 40:06
Speaker 3: we remember quarterbacks and running backs and you know, all
• 40:10
Speaker 3: that anybody could have been the best player, the all
• 40:13
Speaker 3: you know, the all time guy or whatever. We we
• 40:17
Speaker 3: we remember when football was it was divers in who
• 40:21
Speaker 3: could score, who could who could have the ball in
• 40:23
Speaker 3: their hands at at a specific time. Now the fan
• 40:29
Speaker 3: base is in love with quarterbacks, you know. And and
• 40:35
Speaker 3: now you know, you you get Philly. Now they're they're
• 40:38
Speaker 3: they're loving their running back.
• 40:41
Speaker 4: Who else? Who else?
• 40:43
Speaker 3: What other team in the playoffs? Can we say that
• 40:47
Speaker 3: we should be talking about their running back.
• 40:50
Speaker 5: No, no, none of them.
• 40:53
Speaker 3: And I'm not saying they weren't good, and you know
• 40:55
  Speaker 3: I don't mean that literally.
• 40:56
Speaker 5: You know what all the chatter was about the quarterbacks?
• 40:59
Speaker 3: Yes, really, the the conversation was about the quarterbacks and
• 41:03
Speaker 3: whether or not you know, Patrick Mahomes led that.
• 41:06
Speaker 4: But there were so many.
• 41:07
Speaker 3: Name quarterbacks that were that were out here that everybody
• 41:12
  Speaker 3: it was.
• 41:13
Speaker 4: It was perfect in my mind for the NFL.
• 41:16
Speaker 5: Perfect storm, Yes, perfect.
• 41:17
Speaker 3: We got all these quarterbacks all in the playoffs, winning
• 41:21
  Speaker 3: and losing.
• 41:22
Speaker 4: Oh gosh, this is gonna be so great.
• 41:24
Speaker 3: And when you look at it, you got a running
• 41:27
Speaker 3: back that has shown the whole entire playoffs to me,
• 41:32
Speaker 3: has been the best player he is in the playoffs.
• 41:36
  Speaker 5: Hands down.
• 41:37
Speaker 6: Yeah. All right, So now so we've got to go
• 41:40
Speaker 6: to the other side. Let's go.
• 41:41
  Speaker 5: Let's go.
• 41:42
Speaker 7: Okay, so we're going to the NFL, I'm sorry, the
• 41:44
  Speaker 7: AFC Championship.
• 41:45
Speaker 5: We've got the Chiefs and the Bills.
• 41:47
Speaker 7: That one was a little more competitive, a little closer,
• 41:49
Speaker 7: and of course my Homes the magician, pulled it off again,
• 41:52
Speaker 7: you know, throwing eighteen of twenty six for two hundred
• 41:55
Speaker 7: and forty five yards and a touchdown and of course
• 41:58
  Speaker 7: the winning drive.
• 41:59
Speaker 5: He was instrumental in the fourth quarter.
• 42:01
Speaker 7: So the Bills they just they just they forgot their
• 42:04
Speaker 7: rushing attack. They were stopped constantly in short yard situations.
• 42:08
Speaker 7: You know, Josh Allen had I think in in five
• 42:12
Speaker 7: different times they were in short yardage and he just
• 42:15
Speaker 7: had to gain a couple of yards and he was
• 42:17
Speaker 7: only two a five, And of course we had to
• 42:19
Speaker 7: have a controversial call by the refs. So let's just
• 42:24
Speaker 7: what do you, hollis you want to describe it or
• 42:26
Speaker 7: do you want me to describe it?
• 42:27
Speaker 5: And you guys comment, okay, okay, okay. So I'll just
• 42:31
Speaker 5: give a quick overview of that.
• 42:32
Speaker 7: So it was fourth quarter, fourth down, Josh Allen was
• 42:37
Speaker 7: at the forty one yard line of Kansas City. Uh,
• 42:42
Speaker 7: he only had to gain one yard fourth down, and
• 42:44
Speaker 7: he appeared to make it. We had of course, that
• 42:48
Speaker 7: was according to the commentators that were, you know, calling
• 42:51
Speaker 7: the game. It was also according to the ref guy
• 42:53
Speaker 7: that they call all the time.
• 42:54
Speaker 5: His names escaped me. But anyway, so one ref.
• 42:57
Speaker 7: Comes from the sideline signaling that it is the first down,
• 43:01
Speaker 7: and then the other ugh comes over and marks some
• 43:03
Speaker 7: short and the guy that marks him short.
• 43:06
Speaker 3: That's the call, and here's here was the here was
• 43:09
Speaker 3: the interesting thing to me on that And hollyso I'm
• 43:11
Speaker 3: wondering what you what you think the reality of visibly
• 43:17
Speaker 3: being able to see and I and I don't know
• 43:19
Speaker 3: who was able to see.
• 43:21
Speaker 5: There's so many angers.
• 43:24
Speaker 4: We're sitting across the table from each other.
• 43:26
Speaker 3: So you're coming in looking to see where the ball,
• 43:28
Speaker 3: and all these bodies are laying down, so you're trying
• 43:32
Speaker 3: to market, but you're coming off from the line of scrimmage. Basically,
• 43:36
Speaker 3: really you're coming from the line of scrimmage. So maybe
• 43:38
Speaker 3: you step over half an inch and and walk in.
• 43:42
Speaker 3: And you're walking in and everybody's saying that he's spot
• 43:45
Speaker 3: that that was the spot of the ball, right.
• 43:48
Speaker 4: The other guy on the other official on the.
• 43:49
Speaker 3: Other side, he's lean, he's he is stepped up, he's
• 43:56
Speaker 3: moved over a step. So he's made that he's already
• 43:59
Speaker 3: more darking the ball as it's a first down because
• 44:04
Speaker 3: he's seeing the back of sure, he can see that,
• 44:07
Speaker 3: he can see the shoulder paths, he's seeing it on
• 44:09
  Speaker 3: that lead.
• 44:09
Speaker 4: He's got the better view, you know.
• 44:14
Speaker 3: And and so my thing is in that situation I
• 44:18
Speaker 3: think there has to be some.
• 44:20
  Speaker 4: Form of review.
• 44:22
  Speaker 5: Absolutely.
• 44:24
  Speaker 3: That's that's because I don't even know if you can
• 44:26
Speaker 3: really see film wise, like I don't know if they
• 44:30
Speaker 3: if the if the cameras, I don't know if there's
• 44:32
Speaker 3: a camera angle that would even fit that.
• 44:36
Speaker 7: But I'm going to see the videos that people well,
• 44:38
Speaker 7: that are out there on social media that it definitely
• 44:40
Speaker 7: looks like he had a first down.
• 44:42
Speaker 6: I thought he had. My My thing is this, like
• 44:46
Speaker 6: it's okay for those referees to take a minute just
• 44:50
Speaker 6: to confer with one another to figure it out. I
• 44:53
Speaker 6: don't know why we just have to rush that to
• 44:56
Speaker 6: like we just have to rush the spot the ball
• 44:58
Speaker 6: because it's clearly you look on the video one guy
• 45:01
Speaker 6: from one guy had the better view than the other guy,
• 45:03
Speaker 6: and the other guy who didn't have the best you
• 45:05
Speaker 6: seem to make the calling. That doesn't make sense that yeah,
• 45:09
Speaker 6: had a back judge, you had the two sideline judges.
• 45:12
Speaker 6: Why not you come together, huddle up for a couple
• 45:14
Speaker 6: of seconds and figure it out and make it right.
• 45:16
Speaker 5: Why why don't they do that?
• 45:20
Speaker 4: They talked? I did think that they talked, but again
• 45:25
Speaker 4: it wasn't long. But but you know.
• 45:26
Speaker 3: What I'm saying, it's like if me and Hollis is
• 45:28
Speaker 3: having this conversation, if we're we're talking, if if if
• 45:31
Speaker 3: I'm like more likely maybe I have less years than Hollis.
• 45:36
Speaker 4: And he's saying, hey, I really think that you know
• 45:39
Speaker 4: they didn't make it.
• 45:40
Speaker 3: You just kind of you know, I'm you know, I'm
• 45:43
Speaker 3: this is a huge call. I realized the moment and
• 45:46
Speaker 3: how big a call this is. I'm gonna I think
• 45:50
Speaker 3: you somebody concedes to.
• 45:55
Speaker 4: To the choice always the Chiefs see even.
• 46:00
Speaker 6: But but even with that being said, it's one of
• 46:03
Speaker 6: those situations where you just can't make mistakes with this.
• 46:06
Speaker 6: If you're playing the chief now this is moving forward,
• 46:09
Speaker 6: you can't make mistakes. You have to take advantage of
• 46:12
Speaker 6: every single thing. You can't throw picks, you you can't
• 46:15
Speaker 6: have turnovers and down. You have to almost score on
• 46:18
Speaker 6: every drive, and you have to figure out the way
• 46:21
Speaker 6: to at least stop them a few times. You know,
• 46:23
Speaker 6: they started out the game pretty strong, but after that
• 46:26
Speaker 6: they couldn't really keep up, right. It's just you. You
• 46:30
Speaker 6: when you're playing Chiefs, you can't make mistakes. Unfortunately, and
• 46:34
Speaker 6: either mcomeboy gonna get you or the rest gonna get.
• 46:36
Speaker 3: You exactly, Collins, And here's here, here's here's that is
• 46:41
Speaker 3: the actual reality. And how many times in your football career,
• 46:46
Speaker 3: maybe even playing basketball, baseball, whatever you played like they
• 46:52
Speaker 3: they'll say, you can't give them any opportunities.
• 46:55
Speaker 4: You can't you can't leave it in the hands of
• 46:57
  Speaker 4: the officials.
• 46:59
Speaker 3: Because they they're making the best call that they can.
• 47:03
Speaker 3: I don't think any one of those officials were for anybody.
• 47:07
Speaker 4: Now, the call that they made is going to go
• 47:11
  Speaker 4: to somebody.
• 47:12
Speaker 3: It's going to go one side, So I'm gonna automatically
• 47:15
Speaker 3: or at least it made the call that way. She's
• 47:17
Speaker 3: got to be that, she's got to be for that team.
• 47:19
Speaker 3: You know, she's probably got to She's probably got a
• 47:22
Speaker 3: whole bunch of package stuff at home.
• 47:23
Speaker 7: Oh but it's not the first time that this has
• 47:27
Speaker 7: happened with the Chiefs. Its just continuously continually happens throughout
• 47:31
Speaker 7: the season, and people start to notice because of that pattern,
• 47:35
Speaker 7: and that's why people are pretty upset about it. And
• 47:40
Speaker 7: a lot of people are just upset about the Super
• 47:41
Speaker 7: Bowl matchup in general. I mean, I'm hearing people say
• 47:45
Speaker 7: boycott it, don't watch it. NFL's rigged, which we hear
• 47:48
Speaker 7: that anyway, we hear that, Oh yeah, it's out there.
• 47:51
Speaker 5: They're out there. The conspiracy theorists are out there.
• 47:54
Speaker 4: I can tell you this.
• 47:56
Speaker 5: A lot of it's just bitter fans, you know, but
• 47:58
  Speaker 5: still there.
• 47:59
Speaker 4: If there was a way to to.
• 48:04
Speaker 3: Rig a football game, do you understand the number of
• 48:08
Speaker 3: people that you would have to include into that.
• 48:12
Speaker 5: I totally agree with you.
• 48:13
Speaker 7: I'm just I'm just I'm just repeating red, which is unfortunate.
• 48:18
Speaker 7: But I think I think the whole scenario when you
• 48:21
Speaker 7: when you get these these types of fans on the
• 48:23
Speaker 7: on you know, social media or the Internet saying you know,
• 48:26
Speaker 7: it's rigged whatever, they're just kind of they're just kind
• 48:29
  Speaker 7: of tired.
• 48:29
Speaker 5: Of seeing the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
• 48:32
Speaker 4: That's what it is.
• 48:33
  Speaker 5: And the you.
• 48:34
Speaker 7: Know, of course they've got Taylor Swift and all the
• 48:37
Speaker 7: celebrities that come along with a with a good team.
• 48:41
  Speaker 5: I think it's just they're just fatigued. It's it's Chiefs fatigue.
• 48:46
Speaker 6: And I think, you know what, in addition to the Chiefs,
• 48:50
Speaker 6: I think we've seen this where you have, like you know,
• 48:54
Speaker 6: you have the Patriots who were dominated in the same
• 48:59
Speaker 6: then you have now it's the Chiefs who are in
• 49:01
Speaker 6: the champion So it seems like we always have that
• 49:03
Speaker 6: one team who's just either they're winning or they're there.
• 49:08
Speaker 6: And I think, you know, some NFL fans want to
• 49:11
Speaker 6: see parody. I mean even the Eagles. I mean within
• 49:13
Speaker 6: the last you know, ten years or five ten years,
• 49:16
Speaker 6: they've been three times, so you know we're seeing the
• 49:19
Speaker 6: same teams over and over. But I will say, I like,
• 49:24
Speaker 6: I really like this matchup. I want to see, you know,
• 49:28
Speaker 6: particularly how the Chiefs defense is going to, you know,
• 49:32
Speaker 6: try to stop Jalen Hurts and then say Kwon Barkley
• 49:35
Speaker 6: and kind of what they're gonna put together and then
• 49:38
Speaker 6: you know what you know, being a quarterback, being an
• 49:40
Speaker 6: offensive guy, I always love to watch Andy Reid's offense.
• 49:44
Speaker 6: So I'm interested to see how they're gonna up against
• 49:47
Speaker 6: Phillies' defense, which is fast and strong. Like I said,
• 49:50
Speaker 6: they have a gritty, just rugged team against more of
• 49:52
  Speaker 6: a I wouldn't say flamboyant, but they're more like the
• 49:55
Speaker 6: you know, the cool kids right now. So it's gonna
• 49:58
Speaker 6: be a fun matchup.
• 50:00
Speaker 3: I think I think the way Philly addresses this is
• 50:03
Speaker 3: I think it's super aggressive because I would just as
• 50:08
Speaker 3: soon have Mahomes running and then let him make the
• 50:12
Speaker 3: trick passes and all that kind of stuff.
• 50:15
  Speaker 4: I'm coming at him. I don't want him comfortable. I
• 50:18
  Speaker 4: don't know, I don't I don't know I'm comfortable. I
• 50:21
Speaker 4: don't want him comfort because you don't know.
• 50:24
Speaker 5: I think he plays better under pressure.
• 50:28
Speaker 4: He might, he might, But am I gonna let him?
• 50:31
Speaker 4: Am I gonna let him sit back there and be comfortable.
• 50:34
  Speaker 6: I'm gonna what I'm saying, I'm gonna sign and I'm
• 50:37
  Speaker 6: gonna try to.
• 50:38
Speaker 4: I mean, who are you gonna spy him with?
• 50:40
Speaker 3: Here's here's the catch with the spy, because usually you're spying,
• 50:44
Speaker 3: that's usually somebody who is not gonna make the tackle
• 50:48
Speaker 3: with him one on one.
• 50:50
Speaker 6: You don't have no Mahomes. Ain't that guy. Mahomes is
• 50:53
Speaker 6: not Lamar Jackson. A good linebacker is gonna be able
• 50:56
Speaker 6: to tackle him one on one. And I'm saying I'm
• 50:58
Speaker 6: signing with a linebacker. Sure, I'm telling my defensive line
• 51:01
Speaker 6: to be aggressive. That's who I'm rotate in and out
• 51:04
Speaker 6: and I'm playing and I'm playing coverage and I'm gonna
• 51:07
Speaker 6: make you, like, make you take a chance on the
• 51:10
Speaker 6: throw and hopefully I can get a pick, hope that
• 51:12
Speaker 6: can bait you into some picks, because if I rush
• 51:15
  Speaker 6: you and I can't leave you, I can't leave any
• 51:18
Speaker 6: receiver they got one on one because he'll make the
• 51:19
Speaker 6: throw and then if I let you run around too
• 51:22
Speaker 6: much without any direct pressure.
• 51:26
Speaker 3: So so here, okay, so here, This is a football
• 51:30
Speaker 3: This is a football conversation. Now, when you've got conversation, okay,
• 51:35
Speaker 3: So so what you're what you're telling me then is
• 51:40
Speaker 3: you're gonna you're gonna zone them.
• 51:42
Speaker 4: You're gonna play zone on.
• 51:43
Speaker 6: I'm gonna mix it. I'm gonna mix it, but it's
• 51:45
Speaker 6: gonna be a lot of zone, and I'm gonna mix
• 51:46
  Speaker 6: the zone.
• 51:47
  Speaker 4: Yes, Now, to me, that's a problem. That's a problem
• 51:54
Speaker 4: because you're gonna have areas.
• 51:56
Speaker 3: There's gonna be there's gonna be every zone as an
• 52:00
Speaker 3: area that you can throw into.
• 52:03
Speaker 4: And you can't. Yes, I mean you might be in Prevantea.
• 52:09
Speaker 6: But the thing is you can't. But if i've man you,
• 52:12
Speaker 6: then I got to count for Travis Kelsey and I
• 52:14
Speaker 6: got to count for those other tight ends. Those are
• 52:18
Speaker 6: man beaters right there, and those receivers and the receivers
• 52:20
Speaker 6: that he has. They're not they're not the best receivers,
• 52:23
Speaker 6: but they're really fast and they're aggressive. So I'm saying,
• 52:27
Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell my defense in the back and I'm gonna
• 52:28
Speaker 6: keep everything in front of me. My defensive line, you
• 52:31
Speaker 6: got to play your butt off now. And I got
• 52:33
Speaker 6: a linebacker and I gotta spy you. That's who you
• 52:35
  Speaker 6: gotta play.
• 52:36
Speaker 4: The line has to play. The line is.
• 52:38
Speaker 3: The line is where this game is going to be won,
• 52:42
Speaker 3: and it's gonna dictate what we can do in the secondary.
• 52:46
Speaker 6: Yeah, because the thing is, if I can keep him
• 52:48
Speaker 6: in the pocket where you're not escaping, where you're not
• 52:51
Speaker 6: going laterally, if I'm saying my defense line, I want
• 52:53
Speaker 6: to keep him so I want to make him step up.
• 52:56
Speaker 6: And I got a linebacker in the face, and I
• 52:58
Speaker 6: want to bait him in and running a couple times
• 53:01
Speaker 6: and I could get some hits on him. I want
• 53:03
Speaker 6: to touch my home. I want to touch him as
• 53:04
Speaker 6: much as I can this game. It's gonna be hard,
• 53:07
Speaker 6: but I gotta get some hits on him out.
• 53:10
Speaker 3: Okay, this is what this This is gonna sound terrible,
• 53:13
Speaker 3: but I say it all the time. That's a situation
• 53:17
Speaker 3: where that's a fifteen that I'm giving up. Mean, you know,
• 53:22
Speaker 3: you know, if he's running, that's a fifteen I'm giving up.
• 53:25
Speaker 3: I'm gonna take that shot, you know, not a super
• 53:28
Speaker 3: dirty shot, but he better get down really quick because
• 53:31
Speaker 3: I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to make that
• 53:33
Speaker 3: contact just so that he knows. Now, will that intimidate him?
• 53:39
Speaker 3: Maybe not, but still I want at least take that
• 53:44
Speaker 3: chance to get something on him, so at least he's thinking.
• 53:48
Speaker 6: One hundred percent. And the thing is, that's what I'm saying.
• 53:50
Speaker 6: I want to force him up the middle. Now again,
• 53:53
Speaker 6: you're gonna give up some stuff. You're not gonna totally
• 53:55
Speaker 6: stop Patrick Mahomes. He's he's to me, he's one of
• 53:59
Speaker 6: the greatest quarter back to all times quarterback and currently,
• 54:02
Speaker 6: so you're not gonna start him stop him mentality. But
• 54:05
Speaker 6: what I gotta try to do is bake you into
• 54:07
Speaker 6: a few mistakes, and I gotta try to get some
• 54:10
Speaker 6: pressure on you, and I gotta try to get my
• 54:12
Speaker 6: hands on my shoulder pads on you. And I think
• 54:14
Speaker 6: that's the only way you stop me.
• 54:17
Speaker 5: And I think on the other side of the ball,
• 54:18
Speaker 5: they just have to they have to shut down Barkley.
• 54:22
  Speaker 7: I mean, if they don't shut him down, it's don't
• 54:25
Speaker 7: just eat the clock up.
• 54:27
Speaker 6: I mean, I think on the other side of the
• 54:33
Speaker 6: same thing, I think you gotta stop Jalen Hurts. Don't
• 54:37
Speaker 6: stop Jay Hurts. It's gonna be proa. See. I think
• 54:40
Speaker 6: I would give I would give up Barkley because if
• 54:44
Speaker 6: I can stop Jalen Hurst, then I'm gonna I'm gonna
• 54:47
Speaker 6: close some lanes for you know what I'm saying. And
• 54:51
Speaker 6: if I can shake his confidence where I can make
• 54:54
Speaker 6: him timid to throw the ball down the field, then
• 54:56
Speaker 6: that office is gonna slow down.
• 54:59
Speaker 3: So I'll say this, And I don't know if this
• 55:01
Speaker 3: can happen, if they can, If they can, if you
• 55:04
Speaker 3: take away the pass or you take away the run
• 55:07
Speaker 3: and you force them into one or the other, I
• 55:10
Speaker 3: think now you at least got a chance. But if
• 55:13
Speaker 3: you give them, if you give them an opportunity to
• 55:16
Speaker 3: do both, you got no shot.
• 55:19
  Speaker 4: See.
• 55:19
Speaker 6: But I disagree. I think you gotta shut down the run.
• 55:23
Speaker 6: And I think you got to shut down the run
• 55:24
Speaker 6: from Sa Kwan Barkley, and you gotta particularly shut the
• 55:27
Speaker 6: run down from Jalen Hurst. You cannot give Jaalen Hurst
• 55:30
Speaker 6: no lane, and you have to force him to like
• 55:33
Speaker 6: he has to know that he got to stand in
• 55:34
Speaker 6: the pocket and he got to deliver the ball.
• 55:37
Speaker 4: He's not gonna stay in the pocket. That's see. That's
• 55:39
Speaker 4: the thing that see.
• 55:40
Speaker 3: And I don't think that if if if, if they
• 55:42
Speaker 3: stop the run, I think if they stop Barkley right
• 55:49
Speaker 3: to me, I'm thinking the only way that they're going
• 55:53
Speaker 3: to stop Hurts is like you go like, I just don't.
• 55:59
Speaker 3: I don't know if you can do both. You're gonna
• 56:01
Speaker 3: have to. I mean, you're gonna you're gonna have to
• 56:02
Speaker 3: succumb to one of them. But the one that you
• 56:05
Speaker 3: go to can't beat you. You can't let that beat you.
• 56:09
Speaker 3: And I'm saying the quarterback is the least likely to
• 56:11
  Speaker 3: beat me.
• 56:12
  Speaker 4: I'm thinking, no, he's not.
• 56:14
Speaker 6: And that's to say. I think what happens is if
• 56:16
Speaker 6: you let say Kwon bark excuse me, if you let
• 56:18
Speaker 6: Jalen hurt get those ten fifteen, those long runs like
• 56:22
Speaker 6: he's been getting every playoff game. I think what it
• 56:24
Speaker 6: does it creates. It creates lanes where now on them
• 56:28
Speaker 6: read options or even like the ISOs or the done
• 56:32
Speaker 6: reeds now the defense has to account for sake, excuse me,
• 56:35
Speaker 6: I keep saying that they have to look out for
• 56:37
Speaker 6: Jalen Hurt fakes. So once he's doing that and he's
• 56:40
Speaker 6: giving you he's uh, he's handing the ball off to
• 56:44
Speaker 6: Saint Kawan Barkley and he's carrying out of space, the
• 56:46
Speaker 6: defense you cannot dismiss that. You have to account for that.
• 56:50
Speaker 6: So it's gonna take a linebacker out the lane and
• 56:53
Speaker 6: it gets say, Kawan Barkley better lanes to run in.
• 56:55
Speaker 6: But now if you don't, but if you totally shut
• 56:58
Speaker 6: down their own and runs and you're not worried about
• 57:00
Speaker 6: Jalen Hurts running the ball, those linebackers can say in
• 57:03
Speaker 6: and commit to Sat Kwon BARKI. So I think you
• 57:05
Speaker 6: gotta stop the run of Jalen Hurts.
• 57:08
Speaker 4: All right, Well we'll we'll see, Lisa, you got one.
• 57:11
Speaker 7: More thing before I was just gonna say, I mean,
• 57:13
Speaker 7: we really didn't make picks. And we can do that
• 57:15
Speaker 7: later on because we still have some time. But I
• 57:17
Speaker 7: really feel like that the team that that wins the
• 57:19
Speaker 7: Super Bowl is gonna be the one that doesn't turn
• 57:21
Speaker 7: the ball over that's obvious, yeah, and plays the best
• 57:25
Speaker 7: defense because these are offensive powerhouses both teams.
• 57:28
  Speaker 3: That's a valid point there. You're gonna have you're you're
• 57:31
Speaker 3: you're definitely gonna have to play good defense.
• 57:34
  Speaker 4: Yep.
• 57:34
Speaker 3: And whoever, and I agree with you, whoever plays the
• 57:37
Speaker 3: best defense is probably gonna win the game because both
• 57:40
Speaker 3: of these offenses can do any and everything.
• 57:43
Speaker 6: It's gonna be hard, it's gonna be it's gonna be
• 57:45
  Speaker 6: a good it's gonna be a really good. I'm excited
• 57:48
Speaker 6: about you, but I'll.
• 57:49
Speaker 4: Say this, and we we're gonna close it up. There's
• 57:53
  Speaker 4: been so many.
• 57:53
Speaker 3: Super Bowls that you you can look at and it
• 57:56
Speaker 3: just looks like it can be just a great game,
• 57:59
Speaker 3: and you just wait, you get everything lined out, you're
• 58:02
Speaker 3: sitting on the couch, all your foods around you, and
• 58:06
Speaker 3: next thing you know, you're fifteen to twenty minutes into
• 58:09
  Speaker 3: the game.
• 58:09
Speaker 4: And you're like, oh my gosh, this thing is already over.
• 58:13
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 58:14
Speaker 3: That's my theory is is that you know, just it
• 58:17
Speaker 3: just doesn't turn out to be as great a game
• 58:19
Speaker 3: as it looks like it should be.
• 58:22
Speaker 4: I'm afraid of that.
• 58:23
Speaker 3: But ladies and gentlemen, we will be back next week
• 58:27
Speaker 3: and hope you have a blessed week In and Hollas
