- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magneto nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to scotti An Abbey Unfiltered.
- 0:06Speaker 1: As we're celebrating Abby's birthday.
- 0:10Speaker 2: This is exciting.
- 0:10Speaker 3: It is twenty nine really something to celebrate.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It is so something to celebrate. I will celebrate someone's
- 0:15Speaker 1: birthday too. I am blue in the face because any
- 0:17Speaker 1: opportunity to take another lap around the sun is a
- 0:20Speaker 1: perfect opportunity to be appreciative of all the years I've
- 0:23Speaker 1: come behind me.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Don't guilt trip me into not feeling bad about my age.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Oh okay, here's the thing. I get it. Like, I understand.
- 0:28Speaker 3: No, you don't, Scott, You're not a lady.
- 0:31Speaker 2: That's correct. I am not a lady.
- 0:32Speaker 1: But I also understand what it feels like they get
- 0:34Speaker 1: slightly older to feel like, oh wait, I'm now stepping
- 0:37Speaker 1: into a new chapter of life.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just different when you're a boy.
- 0:41Speaker 1: It is okay, I could recognize that. Why do you
- 0:43Speaker 1: feel different about twenty nine?
- 0:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:44Speaker 4: I think because this is like the last age. I
- 0:47Speaker 4: think I'm gonna feel weird about that. I'm having pre
- 0:51Speaker 4: thirty year old anxiety.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Mmm, what do you think the anxiety is?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Because when I think of thirty, and I don't know
- 0:57Speaker 1: what's going to happen at thirty or those chapters, but
- 0:59Speaker 1: I feel like that's the chapter where I'll probably get
- 1:02Speaker 1: a wife, and maybe I'll start my family, and I
- 1:05Speaker 1: might buy a house. It feels like that is what
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'm stepping into. Is that what gives you anxiety? Or
- 1:11Speaker 1: is there things that you didn't get to do in
- 1:12Speaker 1: your twenties that you're like, man, am I running out
- 1:15Speaker 1: of time for it?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I think a little bit. So.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I mean the pandemic stole a lot of the And
- 1:20Speaker 4: I am not saying your early twenties or your prime
- 1:23Speaker 4: as a woman, but I'm just saying the pandemic really
- 1:26Speaker 4: took away my early twenty freebie years, if that makes sense.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Like, yeah, just to f around and find out, just
- 1:31Speaker 2: to kind of f.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Around and find out.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And I kind of feel like I kind of missed
- 1:34Speaker 4: the boat to get to f round and find out.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Not that being not that you can't f around and
- 1:37Speaker 4: find out at twenty nine. I'm just saying I think
- 1:41Speaker 4: I when I think about turning thirty, I have this
- 1:44Speaker 4: scene that plays out in my mind of walking into
- 1:47Speaker 4: a bar and being like, oh my god, I can't
- 1:48Speaker 4: be here. I want to be here because I enjoy
- 1:50Speaker 4: having a fun time in dancing with people. But I'm like,
- 1:52Speaker 4: oh my god, my time is up, Like I have
- 1:55Speaker 4: to go now to I have to go hang out
- 1:56Speaker 4: with thirty year olds. Now.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I completely actually, I think that makes perfect.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Sense anyway, it's so weird.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I think everyone could relate to it.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I think obviously, if somebody's older than where we are
- 2:05Speaker 1: right now, they're gonna be like, Okay, you guys are dumb.
- 2:07Speaker 4: She's like, oh my god, she's crying because she can't
- 2:09Speaker 4: go to bars anymore.
- 2:10Speaker 1: But I do think like it just it slows down
- 2:13Speaker 1: a little bit where I could recognize when I was
- 2:16Speaker 1: in college and I was starting to graduate. I remember
- 2:19Speaker 1: I thought I had to be so serious, and I
- 2:20Speaker 1: was like twenty two, twenty three, and I look back
- 2:23Speaker 1: now and I'm like, Scott, you're so dumb, Like you
- 2:25Speaker 1: should have left around a little bit more. You should
- 2:26Speaker 1: have had a little bit more of that careless because
- 2:28Speaker 1: now there just feels like there's a little too much
- 2:30Speaker 1: at stake. Yeah, like you're in a career now, you
- 2:33Speaker 1: got bills to pay, I have things to do, you
- 2:35Speaker 1: got things that are on your plate that are your responsibility. Fully,
- 2:39Speaker 1: now you can f around and still regain traction and
- 2:43Speaker 1: be fine. It does feel like there's a little more
- 2:45Speaker 1: heaviness to it.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and also my I think my life isn't lining
- 2:49Speaker 4: up with my age, if that makes sense. A year ago,
- 2:52Speaker 4: I was shopping for a house or a condo or whatever,
- 2:54Speaker 4: and I was very much ready to put down route
- 2:56Speaker 4: somewhere and to settle into quote unquote get older. And
- 3:01Speaker 4: I think because my life felt aligned with my age,
- 3:03Speaker 4: I felt a little bit less weird about aging, whereas
- 3:07Speaker 4: I feel like my life is less of an established
- 3:11Speaker 4: thirty year old's life, Like I don't have a boyfriend,
- 3:13Speaker 4: I'm not getting married, I'm still I'm still doing the
- 3:16Speaker 4: same things that people in their early twenties are doing.
- 3:19Speaker 3: But it feels weird because of my age.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I completely understand, which you.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Can say, well, I mean, you're just pretty janking things
- 3:27Speaker 4: on you like there's a reality, and the reality is
- 3:30Speaker 4: at some point you have to grow up. And I
- 3:33Speaker 4: think I am slightly holding on to a little bit
- 3:38Speaker 4: in my early twenties fomo, while also yearning for the
- 3:42Speaker 4: things that happen to you in your thirties.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That are not happening for me.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a couple of things that you obviously want
- 3:47Speaker 1: in life that we've talked about even here where it's
- 3:50Speaker 1: I do look forward to that chapter of having you
- 3:53Speaker 1: know your person like your person for life. That sounds awesome,
- 3:56Speaker 1: having a house that you've purchased or whatever, your own
- 3:59Speaker 1: little property of land like you've done. And I think
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's really hard now because I think there's a lot
- 4:05Speaker 1: of people that are in that same exact position where
- 4:07Speaker 1: they're like, I don't feel as far along as I should,
- 4:09Speaker 1: or I don't feel as established as I should, and
- 4:12Speaker 1: I think we're just constantly comparing ourselves to what we're
- 4:14Speaker 1: seeing or what is the quote unquote norm of what
- 4:17Speaker 1: should be happening in it now. Like I was talking,
- 4:21Speaker 1: my parents at this age were already married and had
- 4:26Speaker 1: my brother, and so that is kind of a weird
- 4:29Speaker 1: thought where I'm like, wait a second, I'm at the
- 4:31Speaker 1: same age my dad was. He already was one kid
- 4:33Speaker 1: in And then it makes you question. I don't think
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm behind. I'm not trying to say that, but it does.
- 4:38Speaker 1: At least it would be silly for us not to
- 4:40Speaker 1: acknowledge that that's not a realistic thought that goes floating
- 4:43Speaker 1: through your mind.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Well, it's also that was a different time, correct for sure.
- 4:46Speaker 4: And it's not that I wish I was married with
- 4:48Speaker 4: kids right now. I think it's just it's a cognitive dissonance,
- 4:53Speaker 4: which is a big twenty nine year old word. Is
- 4:56Speaker 4: your life being different than you're than how my age,
- 5:00Speaker 4: which I think should feel.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I love this, Like I'm like right at.
- 5:02Speaker 4: The juxtaposition of I can still go to a bar
- 5:05Speaker 4: and because I look twenty five, I don't stand out
- 5:07Speaker 4: even but I feel like I stand out and wanting
- 5:13Speaker 4: the things that being older brings you. But for whatever reason,
- 5:16Speaker 4: those things aren't happening for me. Like I'd be happy
- 5:18Speaker 4: to grow up, I'll stop going to the die bars.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Is that you know what I mean?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Like, though, what does that mean?
- 5:24Speaker 4: I think you you just your your environments change, you
- 5:28Speaker 4: do different things on the weekends. And again I'm not
- 5:30Speaker 4: trying to like harp on the whole bar scene. I
- 5:32Speaker 4: think because I just had a big like bar weekend,
- 5:34Speaker 4: I've been thinking about that. But I would be more
- 5:37Speaker 4: than happy to like start doing thirty year old things,
- 5:40Speaker 4: but those things aren't happening for me.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, not yet, not yet, and which I also saw side.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Now before I'll let you talk, I swear I do.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I do have a tendency to age myself up to
- 5:53Speaker 4: like now that I'm twenty nine, I thing I'm gonna
- 5:54Speaker 4: start calling myself thirty.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, don't do that, I know.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean twenty nine year old things.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think that's very very normal.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I think the thing I've noticed is, and this
- 6:02Speaker 1: is why we've talked to other like people in the community,
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's like trying to find bars where it's an older
- 6:07Speaker 1: feel because I don't have a problem of going to bars.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I have a problem going to bars where they hold
- 6:12Speaker 1: like the oldest age is twenty three and I'm approaching thirty. Yes,
- 6:15Speaker 1: because then I feel and this is just a self
- 6:18Speaker 1: conscious thing. In those moments, there are moments where I
- 6:22Speaker 1: felt like kind of like a loser. Yeah, so fuck it,
- 6:24Speaker 1: like and this is so judging of myself and it's
- 6:28Speaker 1: definitely not the reality. But I'm gonna say it because
- 6:30Speaker 1: I just have thought it before where it's like I'm
- 6:33Speaker 1: wondering if these like young kids are like who is
- 6:35Speaker 1: this old man so fogy thinking that he still has
- 6:38Speaker 1: it like, that's like a fear of mine. It's like
- 6:40Speaker 1: an insecurity where I'm like, first off, mother, i'm working.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Second off, I'm not that much older than you, but
- 6:46Speaker 1: that gap feels very old because you're in such a
- 6:49Speaker 1: big difference in life from like a twenty three, twenty
- 6:52Speaker 1: four to now approaching thirty.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Well, I'll dive one step farther in that. I don't
- 6:56Speaker 4: think it's necessarily the fear of being judged of, oh,
- 6:59Speaker 4: this is the old guy the bar. I think it's
- 7:00Speaker 4: the fear of losing fun easy to find communal spaces
- 7:04Speaker 4: with people in the same phase of life as you see.
- 7:07Speaker 3: That's I just babbled for fifteen minutes. I'm like, oh, like, well,
- 7:11Speaker 3: I want to go to a bar and you'll feel weird.
- 7:13Speaker 4: The fun thing about being in your early twenties is
- 7:15Speaker 4: on any given night, you can find a fun space
- 7:18Speaker 4: with people your age that are doing the same things
- 7:20Speaker 4: as you. And as you get older, there's less space
- 7:23Speaker 4: for that because everyone else is branching off. There are
- 7:25Speaker 4: some people in my age that are my age in
- 7:27Speaker 4: the suburbs right now. There are some people at my
- 7:29Speaker 4: age at the club right now. There's some people my
- 7:32Speaker 4: age in a corporate office right now, where it's it's
- 7:35Speaker 4: harder to find those big spaces where you can find
- 7:37Speaker 4: a lot of people your age with similar ideas of fun.
- 7:41Speaker 1: That's actually a really good point because I think that's
- 7:43Speaker 1: what we're all craving, especially because I know we have
- 7:45Speaker 1: a lot of people that are in their thirties or
- 7:46Speaker 1: older than thirties, and luckily now that's become something that's
- 7:50Speaker 1: so rare. That's like, that's why running clubs are huge,
- 7:53Speaker 1: because people are like, well, I don't want to go
- 7:54Speaker 1: to the club, but I still want to socialize and
- 7:55Speaker 1: I want to do something healthy. Or we've talked about
- 7:58Speaker 1: like tub Club, where it's like, okay, that was an
- 8:00Speaker 1: older audience, Like that was, yeah, we're getting around thirty.
- 8:03Speaker 4: But even when we were at tub Club, I still
- 8:04Speaker 4: felt like we were older. Damn, I don't feel like
- 8:07Speaker 4: we were old. No, I felt like there were Like,
- 8:10Speaker 4: like I said one of the guys that I thought
- 8:12Speaker 4: was really cute that I then stalked after the event
- 8:14Speaker 4: twenty three.
- 8:15Speaker 2: So where the hell did thirty year olds hang out?
- 8:17Speaker 4: They're with their family, Scott, I didn't have family now,
- 8:20Speaker 4: not through their families, I am. I think it's just
- 8:23Speaker 4: we're more there's less of us. It's not that we're
- 8:25Speaker 4: not doing fun, We're just they.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Were saturated, like we're spread out. Yes, that makes sense.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like on the pyramid of ages, you're
- 8:31Speaker 4: gonna find out and about you're going to see a
- 8:32Speaker 4: lot of twenty three, twenty four to twenty five year olds,
- 8:35Speaker 4: and then from about twenty five up we're just a
- 8:37Speaker 4: little bit more scattered.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Throughout the city.
- 8:39Speaker 1: True, that's true, because your time gets harder to find
- 8:42Speaker 1: you're with your family, or you're working a job late,
- 8:45Speaker 1: or what ends up happening is so many of your
- 8:47Speaker 1: friends move and now you're in a whole new city
- 8:50Speaker 1: and it's like, well shit, I had roots, I had
- 8:53Speaker 1: established connections.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Now I got to form that again.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah. I think there.
- 8:57Speaker 4: I think there are things about getting older that can
- 8:58Speaker 4: be fun. Like I look at my parents life. My
- 9:01Speaker 4: parents have a great life. I don't fear living the
- 9:03Speaker 4: life that my parents have right now.
- 9:05Speaker 2: They have couple.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Oh my god, I can't wait to have couple friends.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I oh, I know, a couple friends seems like the
- 9:10Speaker 4: most fun thing to go get a villa in Tuscany
- 9:13Speaker 4: and have two other people that you know, there's a
- 9:16Speaker 4: girl and there's a guy. You girls are girl best
- 9:18Speaker 4: friends and you guys are best friends. I think, to me,
- 9:20Speaker 4: that sounds so fun. So for me, that's thirty forty
- 9:24Speaker 4: fifty year old behavior. I'm thrilled to do that at
- 9:27Speaker 4: some point. But my life doesn't look like that.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I know, And I was just talking to my person
- 9:31Speaker 2: about this. I was like, the chapter person, your lady.
- 9:34Speaker 1: The chapter that I'm so excited for, because I was
- 9:36Speaker 1: talking about my ideal night out. Like it hasn't I
- 9:40Speaker 1: haven't gotten there yet. But it's like you have your
- 9:42Speaker 1: house and instead of everyone going out to the bar,
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's like all your married friends and couple friends like
- 9:46Speaker 1: come over and you're like hanging out on the patio
- 9:49Speaker 1: and it's like you have an outdoor little kitchen and
- 9:51Speaker 1: there's a pool. Like literally, I have this whole envisionment
- 9:53Speaker 1: and like it's like, you know, six couples and you're
- 9:55Speaker 1: all just hanging catching up and it's like a Tuesday night,
- 9:58Speaker 1: maybe even have kids, and they're hanging out on the
- 10:00Speaker 1: pool and you're cooking on the grill. I don't need
- 10:02Speaker 1: to go out on a Friday night to get that.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I can invite you over on a Thursday. Like that
- 10:06Speaker 1: thought gets me so excited.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 4: See, so you can find your community of people in
- 10:10Speaker 4: the same phase of life as you, it's easier to find,
- 10:12Speaker 4: but we're in that weird gray area, that middle period.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very hard to find that communal group where
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm like, you have to be so intentional, which makes
- 10:20Speaker 1: it fun, but also it's a little exhausting because you
- 10:25Speaker 1: have to constantly do that, because it's very hard to
- 10:28Speaker 1: establish a good connection with someone.
- 10:30Speaker 2: It takes hours, days, months.
- 10:33Speaker 1: To be like Okay, you're like you're my official friend
- 10:36Speaker 1: group because we've gone out and we've met some cool people.
- 10:39Speaker 1: But then it's like, okay, who's going to make the
- 10:41Speaker 1: first move? How many times are you going to set
- 10:43Speaker 1: up a coffee hangout? Like do you just continuously meet
- 10:45Speaker 1: up each other like at run club and you just
- 10:47Speaker 1: hope that that forms a good enough of connection. Here's
- 10:50Speaker 1: the thing that I've taken from a lot of people. Actually,
- 10:52Speaker 1: my ex I always gave her a lot of credit
- 10:55Speaker 1: for this, and it's a lesson that I've learned, Like
- 10:57Speaker 1: when she makes a good connection imediately, just she is
- 11:01Speaker 1: the planner, she will make the plans with the person
- 11:03Speaker 1: to go do a brunch, to go do a workout,
- 11:06Speaker 1: to go do something, and I'm like, wow, you just
- 11:09Speaker 1: had to be so intentional, and all of a sudden,
- 11:12Speaker 1: the friend group has grown double in the size just
- 11:16Speaker 1: by being willing to say, you know what, I'm just
- 11:17Speaker 1: gonna set the plans. I'm not gonna wait for you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm going to say we're doing brunch on Sunday. And
- 11:21Speaker 1: it works every time. I don't have that skill though
- 11:25Speaker 1: it's not a gear that you have.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I don't. I really don't.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I want it, but I'm like, gosh, that sounds tiring.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You're other gears, though I do. I could start the conversation,
- 11:33Speaker 1: but following through on it, that's where I struggle. Like
- 11:36Speaker 1: we could go out on Wednesday, or like today, we
- 11:39Speaker 1: go out and it's like brunch and it's the raise game.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I forgot that we're getting brunch later, and I just
- 11:43Speaker 3: got so excited.
- 11:44Speaker 2: See that's gonna be nice you guys.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I've been talking about this for like two weeks where
- 11:47Speaker 4: I'm like, I can't wait for Wednesday. It's my birthday.
- 11:49Speaker 4: You guys were gonna go get brunch. I love making
- 11:52Speaker 4: my coworkers hang out with me. Absolutely, we're gonna get
- 11:54Speaker 4: a little.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Tipsy whipsie off of Amosa or two or seven.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Well, here's what's actually really nice, and I appreciate this,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and I've said it in multiple podcasts. It's nice genuinely
- 12:02Speaker 1: enjoying each other's company. Yes, that doesn't happen all the time,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and so it's kind of funny to say, oh, going
- 12:06Speaker 1: out with my coworkers, But it's like I have waited
- 12:09Speaker 1: for these moments for so long to be able to
- 12:11Speaker 1: be like, all right, yeah, let's go after the show.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And go get drinks and go to a game.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And it's like, ah, that's nice because that also is
- 12:18Speaker 1: in this chapter of life. A lot of people do
- 12:20Speaker 1: that where it's like, oh, yeah, you're with your coworkers
- 12:22Speaker 1: every day. So there's hopefully a couple of people that
- 12:24Speaker 1: you truly feel connected to that you're like, wait, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: actually like you all as friends.
- 12:28Speaker 2: We're more than just coworkers.
- 12:30Speaker 4: It's a community that's in the same phase of life
- 12:32Speaker 4: as you. Correct but you just know where to find
- 12:33Speaker 4: them because they're at the office. Gosh, but some people
- 12:35Speaker 4: don't have that. Can you imagine working from home and
- 12:38Speaker 4: not having other people.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I see it drive people crazy. Right now, that sucks.
- 12:42Speaker 4: I think it would be fun to do like on
- 12:43Speaker 4: Mondays and Fridays when nobody wants to go into it.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Maybe not Mondays. Mondays I think sometimes gets you right
- 12:48Speaker 4: off on the right leg. But maybe I just don't
- 12:50Speaker 4: want to go into work on Friday.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I don't think anybody should work, you.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Know what, Wednesdays and Fridays. I would like to not
- 12:56Speaker 4: come into the office.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That'd be nice to split up the week, something will
- 12:59Speaker 1: look forward to. Maybe in the middle of the week
- 13:01Speaker 1: you're a little exhausted, I want to quick catch up
- 13:03Speaker 1: on sleep and then I'll get work done at my
- 13:05Speaker 1: home office. Yes, Friday, what's the point of even coming in.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I completely agree, no one's ever here on Friday.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Were I'm always trying to get out of here at
- 13:11Speaker 4: like nine, I'm like getting out of here.
- 13:13Speaker 1: We can't do that yet. No, I know, Now, what
- 13:15Speaker 1: is the thing that you're looking forward to in this year?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Though?
- 13:17Speaker 1: Because with the things that we could say, gosh, another
- 13:20Speaker 1: year am I behind? I'm judging myself. What are the
- 13:25Speaker 1: things that you're excited for that you could look forward to?
- 13:28Speaker 2: A whole new lap around the sun. This is a
- 13:30Speaker 2: big entrepreneurial year for me.
- 13:32Speaker 4: I mean, obviously I started this job, but like, I'm
- 13:34Speaker 4: doing a lot of social stuff.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I'm getting a lot of traction on my social That's cool.
- 13:38Speaker 5: You know.
- 13:39Speaker 4: As much as hard as this transition has been from
- 13:41Speaker 4: like ooh's doing any job and then having to like
- 13:43Speaker 4: uproot my life and move again, things are and I
- 13:46Speaker 4: don't want to jinx it, but a lot of things
- 13:48Speaker 4: are really falling into place. And even though life has
- 13:52Speaker 4: been really hard, I think it's reassuring that a lot
- 13:54Speaker 4: of things are starting to sift into the right spot.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Like my social is getting a lot of traction, a
- 13:59Speaker 4: lot of the brands have been eager to work with me.
- 14:02Speaker 4: I'm getting a lot of romantic attention, which never happened.
- 14:06Speaker 4: So I think it's just kind of a sign that
- 14:08Speaker 4: life is shifting into the right spot. So I think
- 14:11Speaker 4: I'm excited to hopefully see that grow more.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I think.
- 14:15Speaker 1: So, you know, I think as long as you're open
- 14:17Speaker 1: to it, the opportunities will keep popping up. I know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: as long as we're like, okay, you know what, maybe
- 14:21Speaker 1: this chapter this week is not going my way. Next week, tomorrow,
- 14:25Speaker 1: next month could be the month, because I'll tell you what.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The way this month started, I was like, no, no, no, no, no,
- 14:30Speaker 1: it was everything was so good, everything was going exactly
- 14:33Speaker 1: to plan, and then this month was like psich, bitch
- 14:36Speaker 1: smacked me in the face, and I was like, damn
- 14:38Speaker 1: it is this the downfall?
- 14:40Speaker 2: No?
- 14:40Speaker 1: I think it's just a kind of like a get
- 14:42Speaker 1: yourself back together, realign, keep moving forward, And honestly, it
- 14:46Speaker 1: sounds very exciting from a dating perspective for you, Abby.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I've never.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Should I can't make that joke. Can you start listening?
- 14:55Speaker 4: No? But I was laughing at myself today because if
- 14:59Speaker 4: you've a long time listener of me or this podcast
- 15:02Speaker 4: or the Burt Show or whatever, I just I go,
- 15:05Speaker 4: I've been in like a really long dry spell, like romantically,
- 15:09Speaker 4: Like I literally had to fly to London to get
- 15:11Speaker 4: some romantic attention.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Like a guy gave me a forehead kiss. I'm like,
- 15:13Speaker 2: that's it. We're getting married, that's it. That's the one kidding.
- 15:17Speaker 4: And I just I don't know if people think I
- 15:19Speaker 4: get more romantic attention than I do, because like I
- 15:22Speaker 4: have X y z amount of followers on social media
- 15:25Speaker 4: or whatever, or you know, I'm like conventionally thin and blonde.
- 15:31Speaker 4: You know what I mean, But I really don't. And
- 15:34Speaker 4: you guys, I'm fighting the metal off ever since I.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Moved to Tampa.
- 15:38Speaker 1: What do you think it is? Like, I mean, I
- 15:41Speaker 1: have my assumptions, but what do you think it is?
- 15:44Speaker 3: What are your assumptions?
- 15:45Speaker 1: My assumptions are you're putting yourself in very social situations.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I think we said it yesterday where it's like when
- 15:53Speaker 1: you go out with the right people.
- 15:54Speaker 2: There's a new light that shines within so people. I know,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I could be a.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Hl but there's a feel that people get like when
- 16:04Speaker 1: I said it, like when I see, like again, my
- 16:07Speaker 1: person just completely in flow of who they are, literally
- 16:10Speaker 1: like a part of me just melts.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm like, that's pure beauty in its essence.
- 16:14Speaker 3: You think I'm in a flow state.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I think you're in a flow state when things are going.
- 16:17Speaker 1: For you and you can just sit back, relax, have
- 16:20Speaker 1: a good time and not be I think we get
- 16:23Speaker 1: too much in our heads and so that like changes
- 16:25Speaker 1: the way we move and how we interact and who
- 16:28Speaker 1: we approach instead of being like I'm just having a
- 16:30Speaker 1: good time no matter what, Like you could talk to
- 16:32Speaker 1: me or not, but I'm having a good time, so
- 16:34Speaker 1: it's kind of on you make the move or not maybe,
- 16:36Speaker 1: And so people are seeing that, they're like, I better
- 16:38Speaker 1: make my move because if I don't, somebody else will.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I don't know what it is.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I've always had this theory that you the universe will
- 16:47Speaker 4: block everything until.
- 16:49Speaker 2: It's the right time. I do like this theory.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Universe, God, whatever resonates with you. Obviously you all know
- 16:55Speaker 4: I'm kind of in a crisis of a religious face
- 16:57Speaker 4: of faith as well, so I, you know, trying to
- 16:59Speaker 4: be trying to be wi universe. Yeah, the universe, God,
- 17:04Speaker 4: I mean whatever, whatever you're guiding, you're guiding, you're gutting
- 17:08Speaker 4: light is Yeah. I think the universe will not let
- 17:12Speaker 4: things happen until it is the exact right time. And
- 17:15Speaker 4: I think for whatever reason, I think, I think God
- 17:17Speaker 4: knows I'm a lover girl, and I think.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I would have.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Made sacrifices that I would have denied that I was
- 17:27Speaker 4: making if I had gotten into a relationship soon.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I think that would be so accurate because I don't
- 17:33Speaker 2: do casual well.
- 17:34Speaker 4: So I think if I was better at casual, God,
- 17:36Speaker 4: the universe, creator whatever would have brought in other guys,
- 17:40Speaker 4: you know, just for me to entertain, to learn lessons
- 17:42Speaker 4: or whatever. But I think I didn't need that for
- 17:44Speaker 4: whatever reason. And I think maybe I don't know, maybe
- 17:48Speaker 4: God was like this girl easy needs something fun. I'm like,
- 17:52Speaker 4: I'm really philophysizing, philosophizing, philosophizing, I'm really philosophizing something, and
- 18:01Speaker 4: God's like, you know, honestly, I think she just needs
- 18:03Speaker 4: a good MA account.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I mean maybe I think there's definitely time for it,
- 18:09Speaker 1: Like there's definitely an opportunity to be like, girl, you
- 18:10Speaker 1: just got to have some fun, like let your hair down,
- 18:12Speaker 1: lots some tongues and like just call it a day.
- 18:15Speaker 3: But it is just funny. I just feel like the
- 18:17Speaker 3: last week, oh my.
- 18:17Speaker 4: God, it's just it's rain and the Yeah, it's rain
- 18:22Speaker 4: and men, which is great because I just that's not
- 18:25Speaker 4: typically my mo.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I mean, there's no reason why it shouldn't be.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Maybe it's, like you said, the timing of everything needed
- 18:33Speaker 1: to line up.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I think so like if I, like I really had
- 18:37Speaker 4: no romantic attention in Atlanta, weirdly enough, like I don't
- 18:41Speaker 4: have a guy look back on and go, yeah, my Atlanta,
- 18:45Speaker 4: you know, sneaky link or whatever you.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Didn't have somebody like a little midnight text you up
- 18:50Speaker 1: coming now.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I remember I had one.
- 18:52Speaker 4: So you know how yesterday or a couple of days ago,
- 18:54Speaker 4: I was talking about how Taylor and I have like
- 18:55Speaker 4: one night a year and we're just chasing that high.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I remember I was.
- 18:58Speaker 4: It was the day I threw a shower for my
- 19:00Speaker 4: new baby kitten, Betty, and we went out to a
- 19:02Speaker 4: bunch of bars afterwards, and I was just I was
- 19:05Speaker 4: truly in a flow state. I don't know what was
- 19:07Speaker 4: in the air. I don't know what stars were aligned,
- 19:09Speaker 4: but I was just in the best mood. The weather
- 19:12Speaker 4: was perfect, my friends were in a good mood. We
- 19:14Speaker 4: all had cute outfits on, and we were getting so
- 19:17Speaker 4: much attention and people were mingling with us. I had
- 19:20Speaker 4: a guy literally proposed to me at a bar, like
- 19:23Speaker 4: we were truly just in a flow state. Love that,
- 19:25Speaker 4: And then I was like, yeah, this is gonna be
- 19:26Speaker 4: the rest of the year. And then that it never
- 19:27Speaker 4: happened again.
- 19:29Speaker 3: But yeah, I don't know, it just maybe whenever's going on.
- 19:33Speaker 2: How often were you going out in Atlanta A lot?
- 19:35Speaker 4: I mean I probably went out. I mean not a lot,
- 19:38Speaker 4: but you know, maybe once a weekend.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's pretty often, like, that's pretty good.
- 19:42Speaker 1: That's what you're doing here too.
- 19:43Speaker 4: And I look cute. You know, it was post nose jobs,
- 19:45Speaker 4: so it wasn't the nose job.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Everyone's loving the nose.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Everyone's loving the nose, loving the outfits.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I'm about to say, I mean, I'm a similar size
- 19:53Speaker 4: to what I was about a year ago.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think it was anything with you. I do,
- 19:56Speaker 2: like that makes sense.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I think it's just comes down to the timing because
- 19:59Speaker 1: then I think back and I'm like, huh, what would
- 20:02Speaker 1: that have changed in your trajectory of life.
- 20:05Speaker 4: So that's what I mean is I think because I
- 20:06Speaker 4: don't do casual, so it's not somebody I would have
- 20:09Speaker 4: been able to have a casual relationship with and been like,
- 20:11Speaker 4: oh I have to leave Atlanta alby and so at
- 20:14Speaker 4: the same time, I don't think God would have wanted
- 20:17Speaker 4: me to have a boyfriend because I think I would
- 20:20Speaker 4: have committed and like, you know, maybe I would have
- 20:21Speaker 4: stayed in Atlanta and not made career moves that would
- 20:24Speaker 4: have been beneficial for me.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Hello, who's here? There we go?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Oh my god, we got a birthday going on. I
- 20:29Speaker 1: love this the whole company.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Oh my god, everyone's in here.
- 20:34Speaker 2: God, I'm humiliated. Happy birthday. This is crazy.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Oh my my flappers have been gassed it.
- 20:49Speaker 2: This is so funny. So we're in the middle of
- 20:51Speaker 2: the studio.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Literally the entire company just came in and they're now
- 20:55Speaker 1: singing to Abby.
- 20:56Speaker 2: We got the whole cake going. I go there it is.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, let me make your wish. We were
- 21:00Speaker 2: just talking about this.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Oh I think we just said it on the air. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that is amazing.
- 21:17Speaker 2: That is so sweet.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Cake.
- 21:22Speaker 2: That's right.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Actually, wait, can we get an explanation? So they just
- 21:26Speaker 1: brought in this big old cake? Is what kind of
- 21:28Speaker 1: cake is this? Jenna, boss, Jennis here, It's just a
- 21:31Speaker 1: really good cake.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It looks good. I'll be cut it.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Just getting ambushed every time we were born pot.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I love a spontaneous moment like that. That was sweet.
- 21:41Speaker 2: That looks so good. That was very wholesome.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Do you want cake before we finish recording?
- 21:45Speaker 2: No, let's go ahead and just keep talking because that
- 21:46Speaker 2: was our cake break. We'll go ahead and eat it anyway.
- 21:49Speaker 1: So okay, to step back into what we're just talking about.
- 21:52Speaker 1: When you're going out in Atlanta and then now we're
- 21:54Speaker 1: going out in Tampa. And the difference I wonder and
- 21:57Speaker 1: I do like looking at it like that of the
- 22:00Speaker 1: timing might not have been in your best work, it
- 22:02Speaker 1: would have been in your best favor if the universe
- 22:05Speaker 1: knew that there was going to be a change, amiss.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Because I'm too much of a lover girl, and I
- 22:10Speaker 4: would have wanted to stay in Atlanta. And I don't
- 22:13Speaker 4: do casual. Well, I'm really bad at casual. Oh, I'm
- 22:15Speaker 4: horrible casual. Yeah, just like casual dating not my mo.
- 22:19Speaker 4: It's like it's either going to work or it's not.
- 22:21Speaker 4: I don't do one because.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I just feel like it's so there's so many guys
- 22:25Speaker 1: that are like just you know, click hook up.
- 22:27Speaker 3: That's dude.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't care about the person.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I don't want to hurt them or treat them like
- 22:31Speaker 1: they're just like some object. That's horrible. And I know
- 22:35Speaker 1: some people can. Sometimes you gotta get your groove on.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta do what nature intended us to do.
- 22:41Speaker 1: But yes, but it does make it hard, especially you know,
- 22:46Speaker 1: when feelings get involved. And I remember when I was
- 22:52Speaker 1: there was a couple opportunities early in my career that
- 22:55Speaker 1: I would look back on and they didn't work out
- 22:57Speaker 1: for various reasons, maybe because my talent wasn't there yet,
- 23:00Speaker 1: But our.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Talent's always been there. You might have just been bad
- 23:03Speaker 4: at the job, but you've always been talented, Scotty.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I think I might have even sabotaged myself though slightly,
- 23:09Speaker 1: to make sure that I wasn't even putting relationships at risk.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You know, like there's probably moments in the beginning of
- 23:15Speaker 1: the career I was like, Oh, I could move to
- 23:17Speaker 1: the city, but what about family situation or relationship situation,
- 23:22Speaker 1: And maybe in the subconscious of my mind, I was like, ah,
- 23:26Speaker 1: maybe I don't really want that. Maybe that was the
- 23:28Speaker 1: universe working in your favor. That's why I said, if
- 23:31Speaker 1: you remember podcasts ago, I was like, I think this
- 23:34Speaker 1: is going to be that we don't know, you know,
- 23:36Speaker 1: it's just kind of cool that all these prospects are.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Listen, this is the most prospects I've ever had. And
- 23:41Speaker 4: they're not even bad prospects.
- 23:43Speaker 2: All these are great projects.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Scotty's like, I've seen them, they're great prospects.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I see the pictures, I know.
- 23:47Speaker 3: And now I feel that I'm i also have really
- 23:49Speaker 3: bad OCD.
- 23:50Speaker 4: So now that I've talked about it, I'm like, God, no,
- 23:52Speaker 4: I've just jinxed myself.
- 23:53Speaker 2: No, I don't think. I don't believe in that.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think these are moments that we got to be
- 23:56Speaker 1: able to talk about because I think it's cool to see.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Maybe this the beginning of something. But if anything, it's
- 24:01Speaker 1: a lesson. It's a lesson that, Okay, you do more things.
- 24:05Speaker 1: My friend used to say this all the time. You
- 24:06Speaker 1: do more things, more things happen, you go out, you
- 24:09Speaker 1: have a good like maybe it's just established in the
- 24:10Speaker 1: friend group. You go out with that friend group that
- 24:12Speaker 1: always make sure you're in a flow state. Boom, crazy
- 24:15Speaker 1: things happen because you're not worried about who's that guy.
- 24:18Speaker 2: No, you're just in your flow state.
- 24:19Speaker 1: That guy's gonna worry about who the heck is that
- 24:22Speaker 1: I gotta go talk to her.
- 24:23Speaker 4: That's a really good, simple piece of advice. The more
- 24:26Speaker 4: stuff you do, the more stuff that happens to you.
- 24:28Speaker 2: So stupid symboltich I know is dumb.
- 24:30Speaker 3: But it's true.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Like if you just and I'm guilty this, I stay
- 24:32Speaker 4: in my house all the time working or whatever, like
- 24:34Speaker 4: you know, if you go out and experience more people,
- 24:37Speaker 4: more people will come experience you.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Absolutely saying yes to more opportunities.
- 24:40Speaker 4: But I was very social in Atlanta, So it's not
- 24:42Speaker 4: that I think, you know, Atlanta was some kind of
- 24:44Speaker 4: detriment to my life or whatever. I think the universe
- 24:49Speaker 4: just brought me here for a reason. And even though
- 24:51Speaker 4: life has been really hard recently, so I'm not trying
- 24:53Speaker 4: to be like and I have all these boyfriends now
- 24:55Speaker 4: in life is so great. Life has been hard, and
- 24:57Speaker 4: I think the universe is like, here's a little.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Treat, absolutely t read for you.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I have a friend I go running with and whenever
- 25:03Speaker 1: they see somebody run by with their shirt off, they say,
- 25:06Speaker 1: that's my little treat for running today.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I mean, that's why I enjoy going out on Bay Shop.
- 25:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna work out. You might as well enjoy what
- 25:14Speaker 2: you're seeing. Take your shirt off, please go miss.
- 25:17Speaker 3: I mean, maybe I do need a little flaning. Maybe
- 25:18Speaker 3: I'm an Maybe I'm in a good headspace for a flang.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I think.
- 25:21Speaker 4: So.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I think there's a couple of things that are working
- 25:23Speaker 2: in your favor.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Yeah. I was talking about this on my last podcast,
- 25:27Speaker 4: The Personality Hires, So shout if you listen, thank you,
- 25:29Speaker 4: And I was telling everyone. I was like, I don't
- 25:31Speaker 4: know what to do, Like I don't think I can
- 25:32Speaker 4: have a guy over ever, because my parents have access
- 25:35Speaker 4: to the ring camera and they get alerts.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Oh my god, I forgot about that.
- 25:38Speaker 4: So I'm like, I don't know how to If you do,
- 25:40Speaker 4: you have any advice on how like, oh, this is
- 25:43Speaker 4: my door desk driver. He's just gonna come and.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Sign the house.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Time.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Are the cameras only outside, they're at all the entrances.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Honestly, at least this is how my relationship is with
- 25:58Speaker 1: my father, I would say. And it's different because I'm
- 26:01Speaker 1: a guy, you're a girl. Different establishers, but we're all
- 26:04Speaker 1: adults and so.
- 26:05Speaker 4: But even though they might not care, I don't know
- 26:08Speaker 4: that I like them seeing someone come inside that Oh.
- 26:11Speaker 3: No, that's weird. It's so weird.
- 26:12Speaker 1: It is weird to be like, oh, I saw you
- 26:15Speaker 1: had a friend over.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Also, like if a guy drops me off, like if
- 26:17Speaker 4: a date's going well and he walks me to my door,
- 26:19Speaker 4: I'm like, hey, my parents are watching, by the way.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 1: But at the same time, I feel like it's also
- 26:23Speaker 1: a good test for the guy, because if he's a
- 26:25Speaker 1: good guy, I'd be like, no worries, Like I want
- 26:27Speaker 1: him to know that I'm a trustworthy dude, Like I
- 26:28Speaker 1: don't mind if I got recorded, no comments, I'm.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Like, sorry, we had to go down the street. Yeah,
- 26:34Speaker 3: it's gonna di coffee real quick.
- 26:36Speaker 1: We're gonna walk and then just walk back or you know,
- 26:38Speaker 1: the realistic thing is you go back to.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Their place for a little bit.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think that's always kind of isn't that the first
- 26:43Speaker 1: step though, that can go to their place?
- 26:45Speaker 2: No, No, you bring them to your place first.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I always get bimboozled into it though.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Oh Jesus to getting into your place.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but I only want to go to their frat house.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Well, okay, let's be real here.
- 26:57Speaker 4: And also like that puts you in a more vulnerable
- 26:59Speaker 4: position to be at there.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I agree, but also I can nail.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Also, maybe all the other guys I've dated and just
- 27:05Speaker 3: I've just lived at.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Home with their parents.
- 27:07Speaker 1: That's true, maybe they just couldn't have a place that
- 27:09Speaker 1: you could go back to. But also would you want
- 27:10Speaker 1: them knowing where you live? I guess it depends on
- 27:12Speaker 1: how many it eas well.
- 27:13Speaker 4: I would assume if I felt comfortable with them coming
- 27:15Speaker 4: into my house. It's not like, oh, I think they're
- 27:17Speaker 4: going to murder me.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I would have the conversation with your parents that says, hey,
- 27:20Speaker 1: we need to talk about this because I understand security reasons,
- 27:23Speaker 1: but at the same time I feel awkward.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I know my dad will say, my dad's like
- 27:26Speaker 3: real southern.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Oh You'll be like absolutely not. Yea, yeah, I'll get
- 27:29Speaker 2: kicked out of the house. Okay.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll be like, well, you want that you find
- 27:31Speaker 1: your own space. Yeah, Which is that even a thought
- 27:34Speaker 1: right now? Is that even like a look, have you
- 27:35Speaker 1: even gandered of where you would want to live?
- 27:38Speaker 4: I have thought about this a lot, and I keep
- 27:39Speaker 4: going back and forth. I'm like, I don't know if
- 27:41Speaker 4: I'm a Saint Pete gal. I don't know if I'm
- 27:43Speaker 4: a Channel Side gal, because those will be the two
- 27:45Speaker 4: places that I'll move to, is either Channel Side or.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Downtown Saint Pete. Did you have your own little spot
- 27:52Speaker 2: in Atlanta? I live in Buckhead. Oh that's so nice.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Your own little apartment just a one one two bad
- 27:57Speaker 2: two bath. Wow. See, I am craving right now living alone.
- 28:02Speaker 2: That is the stage.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And I'm like, you know what, because I have a
- 28:05Speaker 1: room right right now. He's a really good friend, and
- 28:07Speaker 1: I thought, and it's I'd probably be there for a while.
- 28:10Speaker 1: But this is the first time I'm like, I think
- 28:12Speaker 1: I'm ready for my own space, just to be able
- 28:15Speaker 1: to have my own cleanliness, my own time of waking up,
- 28:18Speaker 1: my own lighting, my own time of like not being
- 28:20Speaker 1: woken up in the middle of the night. Decorate the
- 28:22Speaker 1: house you want to, yes, And I think I'm getting
- 28:24Speaker 1: to that point where I think that's probably if you've
- 28:26Speaker 1: lived alone and now you're living in a space that yes,
- 28:29Speaker 1: you're living like it's your space, but also your parents
- 28:33Speaker 1: they have a lot of say.
- 28:34Speaker 4: In it, and they do and it's not like they
- 28:35Speaker 4: come all the time. So it really is a good deal,
- 28:37Speaker 4: like to get to save some money on rent right now,
- 28:39Speaker 4: especially when like my financial situations change. Like it's just
- 28:42Speaker 4: been like a huge, huge, huge blessing.
- 28:44Speaker 2: But do you have to set a time of when
- 28:46Speaker 2: you're gonna get out.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Well, they're not kicking me out.
- 28:48Speaker 4: I've decided like when they start driving me insane and
- 28:51Speaker 4: I can.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Afford it, then I'll do it.
- 28:54Speaker 4: But like I said, everything has a cost, and that's
- 28:56Speaker 4: what they said on The Personality Hire, So like everything
- 28:58Speaker 4: has a cost.
- 28:59Speaker 2: This is the cost. Like that's true.
- 29:01Speaker 4: You know you're gonna you're they're going to see the
- 29:03Speaker 4: they're going to see who who's.
- 29:05Speaker 2: At your house.
- 29:06Speaker 1: See, that's the cost that I don't think I'm willing
- 29:08Speaker 1: to pay anymore of not just having someone to constantly
- 29:12Speaker 1: be like, well are you going to be at the
- 29:13Speaker 1: house because I want to bring my person over or
- 29:16Speaker 1: like anything like that.
- 29:18Speaker 2: That's where like that's the cost. That's kind of conflicting in.
- 29:20Speaker 4: My head right well, especially now that you have a lady,
- 29:23Speaker 4: Like you want your lady to be comfortable when she
- 29:25Speaker 4: comes over.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Correct and she like fully is It's not like she's
- 29:28Speaker 1: like the one saying, oh my gosh, I wish you
- 29:30Speaker 1: had your own space. It's now so me where I'm
- 29:32Speaker 1: like I feel bad kicking out my roommate if I
- 29:37Speaker 1: want to have like just a date at the house.
- 29:39Speaker 2: That's kind of messed up. Yeah, I get that, and
- 29:41Speaker 2: I've done that.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Literally, Like I remember I had a college roommate and
- 29:46Speaker 1: I had a girlfriend, and when we first got together,
- 29:49Speaker 1: he was like, yeah, it's no problem. You tell me
- 29:51Speaker 1: whenever you need you need the room it's it got
- 29:54Speaker 1: to a point where he was like literally looking me
- 29:56Speaker 1: in the face, like, no, absolutely not.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I am not moving. I'm sitting here.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm like, you're a dick, Like that sucks. Where else
- 30:05Speaker 1: am I going to go? I'm in college. This is
- 30:07Speaker 1: like she lives in a sorority house. I live in
- 30:10Speaker 1: a fraternity house.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Uh huh. This is our only option.
- 30:13Speaker 3: There's nowhere we can go.
- 30:14Speaker 2: There's nowhere. So I don't want that anymore.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's annoying and I.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Don't want to have to have a compromise every time.
- 30:20Speaker 4: And I will say, even though I know your lady's
- 30:22Speaker 4: fine with it, because this is your living situation, it
- 30:24Speaker 4: makes the most sense.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I will say.
- 30:26Speaker 4: It's a huge turn on if a guy has a
- 30:28Speaker 4: house but to himself, an apartment, to.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Himself, just his own space.
- 30:32Speaker 4: And I don't necessarily mean like sexually, like oh my god,
- 30:34Speaker 4: he has an ounction, more of like, oh, this is
- 30:37Speaker 4: a guy who has a life set up correct and
- 30:39Speaker 4: I completely and I can come into it and it's
- 30:41Speaker 4: not like me and Boso over there in the next room.
- 30:44Speaker 2: You know what I mean, Yes, now I do.
- 30:46Speaker 1: This is the first time where I've actually had because
- 30:48Speaker 1: I remember we talked about that months ago, where it's like, oh,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I want somebody that has an established place and I
- 30:53Speaker 1: want to And I thought to myself, wait a second,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I could understand that now.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean we literally talked about it yesterday, like
- 30:58Speaker 4: when I went over to the twenty five five year
- 31:00Speaker 4: old house and I'm like, oh, it's just us and
- 31:02Speaker 4: your uh you're bros.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Over to the roommates, you know what I mean.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Like, I'm in a phase of life where I'm like, no,
- 31:08Speaker 4: I want someone to like bring me into their to
- 31:11Speaker 4: their home, be like, come be in my home girl
- 31:14Speaker 4: that I'm dating.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And it also I.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Think it gives a good example of what you live like, Yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 1: I think that's been My thing is a thing that
- 31:21Speaker 1: I've constantly thought about, is how many of the discussions
- 31:23Speaker 1: do I want to have where it's like rules and
- 31:26Speaker 1: regulations of the things that we agree upon and don't
- 31:28Speaker 1: agree upon. And this is where it's tough, because again,
- 31:30Speaker 1: he's a great friend, so I'll probably live there for
- 31:32Speaker 1: a little bit longer. But I also know I'm like,
- 31:34Speaker 1: how much is it actually taking energy wise to say,
- 31:38Speaker 1: damn it you left this out, or damn it this
- 31:40Speaker 1: is messy, or damn the lights are on, or darn
- 31:42Speaker 1: you're leaving the air so down that I'm gonna have
- 31:44Speaker 1: to pay extra on the electric bill.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Everything has a cost.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Everything has a cost. But the rent's super nice and
- 31:48Speaker 1: the house is super nice.
- 31:49Speaker 4: So I'm like, so there is there nowhere with a
- 31:52Speaker 4: somewhat not comparable rent, but something that's not going to
- 31:55Speaker 4: be like, oh God, I can't believe I'm spending thirty
- 31:57Speaker 4: one hundred a month in downtown Saint.
- 32:00Speaker 1: What's crazy is no matter where I would go is
- 32:03Speaker 1: it's automatically double automatically, which is I'm very blessed and
- 32:08Speaker 1: grateful that the rent that I'm paying now is super
- 32:12Speaker 1: like it's like the friend discount because I know the family. Yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 1: if I go anywhere, I'm back up to what I
- 32:17Speaker 1: was paying when I was living in.
- 32:18Speaker 2: My other house.
- 32:19Speaker 1: So I'm like, am I willing to do that right now?
- 32:22Speaker 1: I don't know how much is my stress being impacted by,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you know, lacking sleep or you know, frustrations in a kitchen.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Everything has a cost.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Everything has a cost. That's your cost, and if you
- 32:32Speaker 4: want to pay it, that's fine. But if you don't
- 32:34Speaker 4: want to pay it, anymore. It's the first time. And
- 32:37Speaker 4: that's why I feel, And that's how I feel about
- 32:38Speaker 4: my parents' house when I'm perfectly happy paying when I'm
- 32:41Speaker 4: paying right now, but I mean when they're here for
- 32:43Speaker 4: extended periods of time, I definitely think about it.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I go okay, and it might change too if there's
- 32:48Speaker 1: somebody that comes into the picture.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Well, that's honestly, here's what I want to happen. I want.
- 32:52Speaker 4: What I want to happen is I want to be
- 32:54Speaker 4: able to live at my parents' house for another year
- 32:56Speaker 4: or two or whatever, and I want to find my boyfriend,
- 32:58Speaker 4: and then I want me my boyfriend to be together.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 33:01Speaker 1: How long would you wait before you had move in
- 33:03Speaker 1: with quote unquote boyfriend.
- 33:05Speaker 2: That I obviously have a year because that's what I
- 33:09Speaker 2: was picturing too.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Honestly, if we move in together, it means I'm we're
- 33:13Speaker 4: gonna get married.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Really yeah, yeah, I wouldn't move in with.
- 33:15Speaker 4: You if I didn't think we were getting married, So
- 33:17Speaker 4: like we would get engaged. Okay, fast forward, I'm getting
- 33:21Speaker 4: engaged next year.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Congratulations, Abby, there we go twenty nine Wow, twenty ninety huge.
- 33:25Speaker 4: So because I've I've done the thing I've lived alone
- 33:29Speaker 4: for the last couple of years, I've decorated my place.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Would I be happy and excited to get to do
- 33:33Speaker 4: it again, Absolutely, But I also know just how much
- 33:36Speaker 4: of a beat down the cost of rent is. And
- 33:40Speaker 4: it's fun for about a year to have your own place,
- 33:42Speaker 4: and then the next two three years you go, oh
- 33:45Speaker 4: my god, I've just been this again, you know.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's a huge chunk.
- 33:49Speaker 1: And that's why I don't feel as guilty because, like
- 33:52Speaker 1: we say, like, of course I want my lady to
- 33:54Speaker 1: be able to come in, and it's like it's kind
- 33:56Speaker 1: of like her space too. She doesn't have to think
- 33:58Speaker 1: about another roommate being there, or I don't have to
- 34:01Speaker 1: worry about a compromise. But I also understand that there's
- 34:05Speaker 1: a lot of people in that same position, like so
- 34:06Speaker 1: many people now are just we're rocking roommates. We've had
- 34:09Speaker 1: to move back home for a little bit, like we've
- 34:10Speaker 1: had to just take a step back because of the
- 34:13Speaker 1: cost of everything. So it's like, well, honestly, I'd rather
- 34:16Speaker 1: have a compromise right now with a roommate versus paying
- 34:19Speaker 1: three times in rent to have my own space exactly.
- 34:22Speaker 1: So that's the hardest thing that I see so many
- 34:24Speaker 1: people going through. And that's why I don't feel as guilty.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I'm like, yes, is it probably not the most romantic thing?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Are there nights so that it would be awesome? Where
- 34:30Speaker 1: I'm just like, yeah, come over, I'm gonna cook a
- 34:32Speaker 1: whole dinner. Don't got to worrybout when a roommate's coming over.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I can't wait for that.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Oh, I get so excited.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I guess you could rent an airbab for the weekend.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I can, and I could run hotels and I could
- 34:41Speaker 1: do those things I could, I have and I will.
- 34:43Speaker 2: But is that gonna add up?
- 34:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:45Speaker 1: Exactly right at that point you do that twice. Might
- 34:47Speaker 1: as well buy a new apartment. I know you'll be
- 34:49Speaker 1: paying extra.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Where would you move I would move to probably right
- 34:52Speaker 2: across the street.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I live right next to a couple of nice apartments
- 34:55Speaker 1: that it's not downtown, but it's close enough downtown where
- 34:57Speaker 1: I'm like, if I wanted to, I could run downtown.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I don't want them to live it would have to.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I have to look at the price because I always
- 35:03Speaker 1: said it would be nice to live downtown, like for
- 35:05Speaker 1: one year and you can just walk everywhere that seems
- 35:07Speaker 1: super cool.
- 35:08Speaker 4: Oh my god, I have to tell you, I know
- 35:10Speaker 4: it sounds so simple and dumb. The getting to walk places,
- 35:15Speaker 4: like getting to walk to the Lightning game last night.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I love that.
- 35:20Speaker 4: I bet it is the greatest thing ever, gosh damn.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Which I know it sounds dumb because it's like Abby,
- 35:25Speaker 4: you have to walk to li, You've walked forward it,
- 35:28Speaker 4: you get to see the skyline, you're walking along the water.
- 35:31Speaker 4: And obviously, like there's good parts about living in downtown
- 35:33Speaker 4: Saint Pete like Venoi, all the things like getting to
- 35:36Speaker 4: walk places, not having to worry about calling an uber
- 35:38Speaker 4: or driving there or figuring out parking. You can just
- 35:40Speaker 4: trot your ass down is the most freeing feeling.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Honestly, it sounds heavenly.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I think the only other thing I struggle with is
- 35:47Speaker 1: I've lived I haven't lived in an apartment since I've
- 35:50Speaker 1: moved out of college, so I've only been in houses.
- 35:53Speaker 1: And you get real comfortable in a house. Yeah, you
- 35:56Speaker 1: don't got to share a wall with anybody, So true,
- 35:58Speaker 1: you don't have to have all that, Like I don't
- 36:00Speaker 1: oh going up and downstairs and grab I literally walked
- 36:02Speaker 1: through a front door and I got a lawn, Like,
- 36:03Speaker 1: that's sweet.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It is really nice. But I don't even know if that's.
- 36:06Speaker 1: A possibility right now, being able to get a house, Like,
- 36:09Speaker 1: there's no way in hell I'm gonna be able to
- 36:11Speaker 1: get a house in the next year.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, hear me out. Could you move into
- 36:14Speaker 4: a house with different roommates, Well.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Then I don't really defeats the purpose.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Now, I mean maybe you like the roommates better.
- 36:21Speaker 1: No, I don't know if I would be able to
- 36:23Speaker 1: communicate as well with any other roommate than the one
- 36:26Speaker 1: I have now. I think if I was to get
- 36:28Speaker 1: another roommate, it would just it would be literally new people.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And so luckily, even though sometimes we probably get on
- 36:33Speaker 1: each other's nerves, we're able to talk about it immediately
- 36:36Speaker 1: solve the problem right away. Okay, that's a blessing because
- 36:39Speaker 1: we have that established friendship. Random roommates, Gosh, I'm very
- 36:44Speaker 1: particular in how I live. Like, if you leave a
- 36:46Speaker 1: plate in the sink, I'm upset. It literally enrages me
- 36:51Speaker 1: slightly where I'm like, I know that's not normal, that's
- 36:54Speaker 1: just how I like to live. If it was random
- 36:56Speaker 1: roommates and they were doing that, all the time. Like
- 36:57Speaker 1: back in the day when I lived in the fraternity house,
- 36:59Speaker 1: I would throw their things out.
- 37:00Speaker 2: If they left their things on.
- 37:02Speaker 1: The kitchen counter or in the sink for more than
- 37:04Speaker 1: twenty four hours, it was in the dumpster the next day.
- 37:06Speaker 3: People hated you, they did people didn't like Scotti.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Yeah, by the end of it, we did not get along.
- 37:11Speaker 1: There's only a couple guys I'm still close with. But
- 37:13Speaker 1: that's how I am because it's just like it stresses
- 37:15Speaker 1: me out. I can't even lie about that, like having
- 37:17Speaker 1: a messy situation. It drains my energy. I get that,
- 37:20Speaker 1: So I can't do that. So if I was going
- 37:22Speaker 1: to move out, it is simply I'm moving alone or
- 37:24Speaker 1: I'm moving with a partner.
- 37:25Speaker 4: I think you should live downtown for a year. I
- 37:27Speaker 4: think I honestly, I know it sounds dumb. I think
- 37:30Speaker 4: it'll change your life, you think so, Yeah, I'm just
- 37:32Speaker 4: picturing you with your lady having a date night and
- 37:35Speaker 4: just trotting down to Sauvignan. I think you guys would well.
- 37:39Speaker 4: First of all, I think she would eventually move in
- 37:41Speaker 4: with you pretty quickly. And then I think the rent
- 37:43Speaker 4: thing would be.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Really romanticizing it sounds freaking awesome.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Things are going over with your lady and you know,
- 37:48Speaker 4: one step at a time.
- 37:51Speaker 2: As we talk about your.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Engagement anyway, I have four hose in my phone. I'm
- 37:56Speaker 4: getting engaged.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yes, it's a big The odds have never been better.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Here's what's so exciting though about right now is I
- 38:03Speaker 1: love taking moments like this and like, remember this moment
- 38:05Speaker 1: and then like flash forward like seven months and see
- 38:09Speaker 1: who the heck knows what could be happening in seven
- 38:11Speaker 1: months from now.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I've been saying that though you know what I mean,
- 38:13Speaker 4: this is just a fun little blip. Enjoyed the blip,
- 38:15Speaker 4: while last.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Scottie, Well, I'm saying enjoy the blip.
- 38:17Speaker 1: But like thinks of like what has already said, like
- 38:19Speaker 1: even living situations like this, living situation could be changed
- 38:23Speaker 1: totally seven months from now, it could be completely different.
- 38:25Speaker 3: You could be living with your lady who knows downtown
- 38:28Speaker 3: Saint Pete.
- 38:28Speaker 2: That would be wild, god willing.
- 38:30Speaker 3: And I'm still living at home, rent free and enjoying it.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I hope.
- 38:32Speaker 4: So.
- 38:32Speaker 1: But if you have somebody in your life and they're like,
- 38:34Speaker 1: well your parents, I don't know. I don't even know
- 38:36Speaker 1: how that conversation would happen with your parents, you you
- 38:38Speaker 1: and your parents talk about romantic things like that.
- 38:40Speaker 2: No, yeah, so that might I think would be fine
- 38:43Speaker 2: with it.
- 38:43Speaker 4: I just think it was a whole other conversation of
- 38:46Speaker 4: just feeling like I've lost a little bit of my
- 38:47Speaker 4: independence and also just thinking, oh, I don't even really
- 38:51Speaker 4: have the freedom to like bring someone over and it
- 38:53Speaker 4: not be a thing, you know what I mean.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Yes, I think a lot of people are dealing with
- 38:56Speaker 1: that right now as they've moved back into situations like this.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yeah, because I lay low, I'm not sure, like I'm
- 39:00Speaker 4: not texting my mom and be like, oh, like I
- 39:02Speaker 4: just let me go on on the first date first,
- 39:03Speaker 4: and they'll let you know if.
- 39:04Speaker 2: It's worth talking about.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Absolutely know why, Because I don't want to be guilt
- 39:08Speaker 4: tripped for how I handle the relationship, whether I continue
- 39:13Speaker 4: it or I.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Don't continue it.
- 39:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to be able to have control over
- 39:16Speaker 4: when I introduce that person to the conversation.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I completely understand that.
- 39:20Speaker 1: That's also why a lot of people are asking me
- 39:21Speaker 1: like who are you talking to? Who is this person?
- 39:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, yo, I'm not going to tell you
- 39:26Speaker 1: because I don't need that to be the thing that's like,
- 39:28Speaker 1: now you're fixated.
- 39:29Speaker 2: On I don't want your opinion on it, correct. I
- 39:32Speaker 2: want to just enjoy this time. It's for me.
- 39:34Speaker 1: And I told her that, and I've told friends that
- 39:37Speaker 1: as well, because in the past, I'd be like, let
- 39:40Speaker 1: it rip. Here they are, here's their Wikipedia, here's everything,
- 39:43Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know what, I've grown past that
- 39:45Speaker 1: because I don't need everyone's opinion on it, because I've
- 39:47Speaker 1: learned I don't want it. I want mine, and I
- 39:50Speaker 1: want to enjoy this a little privately for now.
- 39:52Speaker 2: For sure.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Now I want to talk about yesterday because we went
- 39:54Speaker 1: out to the Lightning game. Went out to a playoff game,
- 39:57Speaker 1: which is cool because we went out to a Lightning
- 39:59Speaker 1: game before. But playoff hockey is very different. It's so
- 40:04Speaker 1: much more intense. Also, it's so much harder to come by,
- 40:06Speaker 1: like we got very lucky yesterday. So Abby and I
- 40:09Speaker 1: were doing a broadcast at the Lightning game because our
- 40:11Speaker 1: radio station, well who you've probably heard us mentioned a
- 40:14Speaker 1: couple times. The bone is they're partners with the Lightning.
- 40:17Speaker 1: They're the official broadcast partners of the Lightning, which is awesome.
- 40:20Speaker 1: That means we get a lot of cool opportunities, and
- 40:22Speaker 1: so yesterday brought out all the different radio stations that
- 40:25Speaker 1: we have here, so we did a little broadcast. Now,
- 40:28Speaker 1: the big thought of the whole time was like, are
- 40:30Speaker 1: we going to get tickets in? Because when it comes
- 40:32Speaker 1: to the playoffs, like tickets are like it's like trying
- 40:34Speaker 1: to get gold. Because luckily our team's really good and
- 40:39Speaker 1: over the past six years we've won two Stanley Cups.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Crazy playoffs are a big deal. Yeah, So when they
- 40:44Speaker 1: gave us the tickets, we're like, oh, hell yeah, like
- 40:47Speaker 1: we're in. But then we pushed our luck a little
- 40:49Speaker 1: bit and it paid off in the greatest way. Which
- 40:52Speaker 1: I love is they have this section called the Mark.
- 40:55Speaker 1: It's the Club, the Club and oh my god, they
- 40:59Speaker 1: have two floors of the most delicious food and drink
- 41:04Speaker 1: that you could get.
- 41:05Speaker 2: It's an open bar.
- 41:06Speaker 4: It's like the best wedding you've ever been to. Hell yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 4: they had cheeseweed pasta last night. I was holding because
- 41:12Speaker 4: I already had dinner. I was holding myself back from it.
- 41:14Speaker 4: I'm like, happy, you don't need that. Just go to
- 41:15Speaker 4: the sweet treat table. Coupled today they have caramel corn.
- 41:18Speaker 2: It's everything.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Regular corns, sushi shrimp, they got civiche oysters.
- 41:22Speaker 2: We'd be eating up the civiche every time.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Every single time. But we decided to go ahead and
- 41:26Speaker 1: push our luck, and we're like, all right, we're gonna
- 41:28Speaker 1: go ahead. And this is a moment that I recognized
- 41:30Speaker 1: that I've only done this a couple times where it's
- 41:32Speaker 1: like a do you know who I am?
- 41:34Speaker 3: Can we admit to this?
- 41:34Speaker 2: Actually?
- 41:35Speaker 4: Absolutely, I don't want to not get the privilege of
- 41:37Speaker 4: getting to do this next time.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Well, I think we could talk about it because I
- 41:41Speaker 1: think it still gives it like the fact that we.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Were in there, like that's fine. Yeah. So we had
- 41:46Speaker 2: club level sets, yes.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And usually we think that means we could get into
- 41:50Speaker 1: the every section of the club, Yes, like the very
- 41:52Speaker 1: fancy one with all the food and the drinks.
- 41:53Speaker 4: So there's the club and then there's the VIP section.
- 41:57Speaker 4: We thought we had access to the VIP section. Hi guys, Yeah,
- 42:01Speaker 4: everyone's joining the pod today.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Alexi, you get on the mic, Come on now.
- 42:05Speaker 3: No, yeah, girl, pop on the mic. We're talking about
- 42:07Speaker 3: the club.
- 42:09Speaker 1: That's we're about to dive into. So let's you just
- 42:12Speaker 1: popped in the studio. See, I love moments like this
- 42:15Speaker 1: where it's just I love spontaneous pop into the room,
- 42:18Speaker 1: hop on the mic kind of situation. Look at that
- 42:20Speaker 1: giving a hug to Abby, celebrate the Abby.
- 42:24Speaker 2: You see, this is nice.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It's twunny too, It's so funny. And so my brother
- 42:29Speaker 4: said to me today, he's like, twenty three. Oh, like,
- 42:32Speaker 4: oh my god, you know you're getting old when people
- 42:34Speaker 4: have to start lying about your age when they say, yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 4: that's so true. Where I'm like, I know this is
- 42:39Speaker 4: a compliment, but I'm like, oh my god, like I'm
- 42:41Speaker 4: really not twenty two, which is fine.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Twenty nine is fine. Come on now, that's it. I
- 42:46Speaker 2: love that. We'll welcome into Alexia.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Thank you so sorry. I'm a little later that I
- 42:49Speaker 5: wanted to be, but you know how it would be.
- 42:51Speaker 5: I wanted to clear out the rest of my day
- 42:53Speaker 5: to enjoy our raise game, our brunch and have no worries.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Later. We're gonna make it over to brunch. We're gonna
- 42:58Speaker 1: do all the things, have all the drinks show up.
- 43:00Speaker 1: But let's stay on track. We're just talking about the
- 43:02Speaker 1: club over at the Lightning game, the club the mark.
- 43:05Speaker 1: So yesterday Abby and I we kind of just we
- 43:07Speaker 1: kind of do you know who I am?
- 43:09Speaker 4: No?
- 43:09Speaker 3: No, no, Scott, Scottie, do you know who I am?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Well?
- 43:12Speaker 3: Because wait, did you bully your way into the Mark?
- 43:15Speaker 2: I just kind of leveraged our passes.
- 43:17Speaker 1: So we were doing our broadcast over there, and so
- 43:20Speaker 1: they gave us like an all inclusive pass that kind
- 43:22Speaker 1: of gets us all over Benchmark in a national arena.
- 43:24Speaker 2: And let's go anywhere.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:26Speaker 1: So we went up to the you know, the section
- 43:28Speaker 1: that's all fancy, and I tried to be there do
- 43:30Speaker 1: the right thing.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Because I was under the assumption if you had tickets
- 43:34Speaker 4: on the club level, you could go into the Mark,
- 43:37Speaker 4: the VIP.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Section with all the food. Right, That's what I thought too.
- 43:40Speaker 3: So we buzzed our ticket and it was like and they're.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Like flashed red and there's people behind us and we're like,
- 43:45Speaker 1: oh my, it is humiliating.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Wait, and so then Scott showed our all access pass yeah,
- 43:49Speaker 4: and he said, well would this get us in?
- 43:52Speaker 3: I didn't realize you were do you know who I am?
- 43:54Speaker 1: Mean?
- 43:54Speaker 3: Her though, I'm you got to use every resource.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I thought we were already there.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I might as well try there were it did
- 44:00Speaker 1: it worked good? Well? I mean I hope they don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: hear this and they're like, well, can't ever let them
- 44:04Speaker 1: in again? You know, obviously we want to show off
- 44:06Speaker 1: how great the thing is. Like if you ever go,
- 44:08Speaker 1: you know what for that, if you ever get an
- 44:11Speaker 1: opportunity to go to the Lightning Game and you have
- 44:12Speaker 1: a little bit extra suspend, get yourself into the mark.
- 44:15Speaker 3: It is really great.
- 44:16Speaker 2: It's so worth it. It's gorgeous.
- 44:18Speaker 3: They are inviting more influencers.
- 44:19Speaker 5: I have noticed some like influencer campaigns of them like
- 44:22Speaker 5: showing off the mark, so clearly they're looking.
- 44:24Speaker 3: To get the visibility. It's I think it's the best
- 44:25Speaker 3: way to experience a game. I was always saying, I'm like,
- 44:27Speaker 3: we post about the Lightning Game. We're like, we have
- 44:29Speaker 3: a video coming.
- 44:30Speaker 5: According to adeographer, he said he has one on the
- 44:34Speaker 5: way that he's gonna post.
- 44:36Speaker 1: So, I mean it was and we didn't overstay or welcome.
- 44:38Speaker 1: We didn't know all the shrimp and savich. We just
- 44:40Speaker 1: had a lot of it.
- 44:41Speaker 4: We had one and there's so much food. I mean genuinely,
- 44:44Speaker 4: like it would have gone.
- 44:45Speaker 2: To waste exactly, like we didn't take it.
- 44:47Speaker 3: What's your favorite of the foods there?
- 44:49Speaker 1: I mean, I go hard on the savich. I probably
- 44:52Speaker 1: four of those. I love Cevich.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I love too.
- 44:55Speaker 5: That's so random. For the mark, well, they did have
- 44:57Speaker 5: a lot of cavch Mike hat it.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I didn't have it.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Those pretzels. I was on the pretzels.
- 45:00Speaker 4: I finally had one of the pretzels yesterday. The pretzels
- 45:02Speaker 4: very good. So the caramel corn is very good. You
- 45:05Speaker 4: know what, I will give them some criticism for we
- 45:07Speaker 4: got to up our soft serve game.
- 45:09Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 45:10Speaker 3: At least at least they have it though.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Well, you know where we're sitting today. I think I
- 45:14Speaker 5: looked it up. We're in the hard rock area at
- 45:16Speaker 5: the Rays game.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Is that good? Isn't that on the field.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like on the field food, drinks and stuff,
- 45:20Speaker 5: so we can compare.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Wait this is oh wait wait, this is cool because
- 45:23Speaker 1: this is both the all's first time going to the
- 45:25Speaker 1: Rais game with the company. Yeah, oh that's cool because
- 45:27Speaker 1: they usually they do a really good job. I was like,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I like to given our company like credit where credit
- 45:31Speaker 1: is due, and it's like right along like the third baseline.
- 45:35Speaker 1: It's right there on the field, Like there's incredible chances
- 45:38Speaker 1: that a ball will be hit in our section.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Watch your head. That's huge. But it's like the best
- 45:41Speaker 2: seats in the house, like so drinks all this stuff.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Shout out to them for scheduling it on my birthday.
- 45:45Speaker 2: They did it on purpose?
- 45:46Speaker 3: Yeah did?
- 45:47Speaker 2: I thought that's what I heard.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Yeah, our big boss was like, wait, when's Abby's birthday.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Let's make sure it's a whole company celebration.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Vect.
- 45:53Speaker 2: That's exactly how it's supposed to go. But the part
- 45:55Speaker 2: of the.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Lightning game that I thought was so funny is like
- 45:57Speaker 1: we got in there and if you just get in
- 46:00Speaker 1: the hockey, you're like, why are they fighting all the
- 46:03Speaker 1: bleeping time? It took me years to like like kind
- 46:05Speaker 1: of get into it. Now I'm like so into the fight.
- 46:07Speaker 1: But then we're talking on the show, like the part
- 46:10Speaker 1: that you found so sexy heavy?
- 46:12Speaker 3: Oh my god, did you watch any of the game yesterday?
- 46:14Speaker 5: I caught the fight. Okay, I happened to catch Brandon Brandon. Yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 5: I keep so hot.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I think his name is Brandan, but his name is Brandon,
- 46:21Speaker 3: so I keep going.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I'm terrible with names.
- 46:24Speaker 5: I always try to type like Carolyn Bessett and type Caroline,
- 46:27Speaker 5: and then I'm like, dang it, Lexi's so yeah, I know,
- 46:29Speaker 5: but he that punch. I was like, oh when he
- 46:32Speaker 5: like stuck him, he like turned him around, and.
- 46:33Speaker 4: He's just like he took off his gloves. Both the
- 46:36Speaker 4: gloves came off.
- 46:37Speaker 2: The fight was hot.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but they had been fighting so much.
- 46:40Speaker 4: That I was like, okay, come on you guys, like
- 46:41Speaker 4: are we gonna play hockey or not? But then he there,
- 46:44Speaker 4: he's done with the fight, and then he glides out
- 46:47Speaker 4: onto the ice rink and then he gets the whole
- 46:50Speaker 4: arena pumped up, started raising his hand. It was it
- 46:55Speaker 4: was so hot because it was basically him saying, hey,
- 46:57Speaker 4: I'm completely untouched by this fight.
- 47:01Speaker 2: This is our house. I will agree. It was so hot.
- 47:04Speaker 2: That was a cool moment. Epic.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I was like, weirdly, okay, I gotta find it sexy,
- 47:08Speaker 1: but I found myself kind of slightly like didn't.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Move a little rivalry.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Now.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I was gonna say I.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Had an emotional moment yesterday where I thought this is
- 47:17Speaker 1: so cool. Like I thought, what a cool moment. And
- 47:19Speaker 1: this is why I loved the playoffs, even if I'm
- 47:21Speaker 1: not truly into a sport, because they bring the city together.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Like when everyone's just rooting for one section of a team.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Like you went outside and I'm not a big crier
- 47:30Speaker 1: and I didn't necessarily cry, but I could have when
- 47:32Speaker 1: I left the arena yesterday because I'm like.
- 47:33Speaker 2: You walk outside and there's an extra.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Couple thousand people out there that are just going freaking bananas.
- 47:39Speaker 2: The city comes together.
- 47:40Speaker 1: It's so special, and that's why it's like, God, dang it,
- 47:43Speaker 1: I just want to win so bad because I don't feeling.
- 47:46Speaker 2: I don't want it to go away.
- 47:47Speaker 4: It's so special, and the skyline's right out there when
- 47:49Speaker 4: you walk out of the arena.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Yes, it's a great setup, it really is.
- 47:52Speaker 3: You can't get this over a big Channel Side fan.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Yeah, if you think about moving maybe Channel So.
- 47:57Speaker 4: That's what we were talking about, is I'm trying to
- 47:59Speaker 4: decide whether and on a Channel Side or a Saint
- 48:01Speaker 4: Pete girl.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Ooh, that's saying that's yeah, that's when you gotta ruminate on.
- 48:06Speaker 4: I know, but I haven't spent enough time out on
- 48:08Speaker 4: Saint Pete so and so far, every time you have
- 48:10Speaker 4: it's been fun, super fun, super fun. So the thing
- 48:16Speaker 4: is is I really love living in Channel Side because
- 48:18Speaker 4: it's so beautiful. Or living near Channel Side because it's
- 48:20Speaker 4: so beautiful and you're also close to like you know,
- 48:22Speaker 4: the big events like the Lightning Game. But I could
- 48:25Speaker 4: see myself getting really bored of Water Street, yeah, because
- 48:29Speaker 4: there's only so much there.
- 48:30Speaker 3: It's limited.
- 48:31Speaker 5: I just feel like the youth's your age, like that
- 48:34Speaker 5: side of Tampa is like they gravitate towards it and
- 48:36Speaker 5: like soho and everything. But I feel like Saint Pete
- 48:40Speaker 5: allows for a transition and then you can go to
- 48:43Speaker 5: Tampa and experience that when you want it.
- 48:44Speaker 3: But Saint Pete, I mean there's night life.
- 48:46Speaker 5: You'll see it next week when we're at Thirsty First
- 48:48Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Crafty Squirrel not the Crafty Squirrel.
- 48:51Speaker 5: Oh, and you have to experience all the pockets of
- 48:53Speaker 5: Saint Pete though, So I feel like you've just had
- 48:55Speaker 5: like the Pier Beach drive, Like there's so many different
- 48:59Speaker 5: little areas that you gotta like figure out and be
- 49:02Speaker 5: like okay, because like Grand Central District over by a
- 49:05Speaker 5: wild Child and Baba, I know some people have moved
- 49:07Speaker 5: in the apartment over there because it's really walkable, Like
- 49:10Speaker 5: there's just a lot. So I feel like we need
- 49:12Speaker 5: to do an abbey immersion yeah, you nell us.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Every weekend like a new pocket, just to check out
- 49:17Speaker 1: the pa side before we get it, because you gott
- 49:19Speaker 1: to hop on, Alexia and give out it some money.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Let's do our predictions for Abby on this twenty ninth birthday,
- 49:25Speaker 1: a lap around the sun?
- 49:26Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, and we can revisit it next year.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Exactly what is going to happen? Old?
- 49:32Speaker 3: Oh, I hope you're okay.
- 49:33Speaker 2: She's probably oh god, you'll.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Be spiraling because thirty.
- 49:36Speaker 5: Just hitting that number, it's always like ah, but then
- 49:38Speaker 5: you realize, like, wait, thirty is the best era.
- 49:40Speaker 2: So yeah, I.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Love when people say that because everyone says that, and everybody.
- 49:43Speaker 4: Obviously I think it's funny because I didn't think I
- 49:46Speaker 4: would spiral, and I woke up this morning I.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Was like, oh fux spialing. No, you have a moment.
- 49:53Speaker 2: But there's some things in the work.
- 49:54Speaker 1: So predictions for Abby in twenty nine, Alexia, what do
- 49:58Speaker 1: you think in this next three hundred and six five days?
- 50:01Speaker 3: What is what is the feel that she's got the
- 50:03Speaker 3: crystal ball out.
- 50:04Speaker 2: And she's an energy person too, So Italy to Italy, right, yeah,
- 50:10Speaker 2: I manifested.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Abby will find a man. Where did she just get this,
- 50:18Speaker 3: that's so funny. So she will find a man named David.
- 50:22Speaker 2: There's these boxers.
- 50:25Speaker 3: I got that's so funny. I found them and I
- 50:29Speaker 3: have like a prop closet. I found them and I
- 50:31Speaker 3: was like, this is for Abby's birthday. So did I
- 50:33Speaker 3: not say earlier I was swimming in Panis today? Here
- 50:36Speaker 3: you go. It's it's a Freudian slip for you.
- 50:37Speaker 2: There's literally boxers with Wiener on it is that, yes, Duffy.
- 50:42Speaker 4: There it's the Italian flag in the on Boxers with this.
- 50:46Speaker 3: With almost the Star of David, with the statue of David.
- 50:49Speaker 5: Wiener's technically the star of David if he's got a interaction.
- 50:52Speaker 2: But yeah, oh my god.
- 50:55Speaker 3: So we're manifesting this for.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Abby, She's going to get Italian man.
- 51:00Speaker 5: I like your Lizzie Maguire moment, but someone who's like
- 51:04Speaker 5: respectable and rich and treat you like a douchebag also
- 51:08Speaker 5: kind of mean.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I love a gritty man.
- 51:10Speaker 5: I see that, and I see Abby becoming more you know,
- 51:14Speaker 5: you know, established, immersed in the Tampa Bay area and
- 51:17Speaker 5: just feel like realizing your roots and you know who
