- 0:00We got Charles Marlow. Let's go, baby.
- 0:02What's up, Wave? Wait for the people right now.
- 0:05Wave to everybody. We talk about you a lot,
- 0:06Charlie. How we doing?
- 0:07Oh, I'm sure in a in a very nice way, so.
- 0:10Funny. Good morning, everybody.
- 0:12Look at that baby. Look at you.
- 0:14Let me. Sit up, you.
- 0:15Look good, man, Tan. Yeah, Sit.
- 0:17Up. Sit up.
- 0:18Hold on. There we go.
- 0:19Puff it up, baby. What's up?
- 0:20OK, what's up? I don't like this angle.
- 0:22I gotta. Yeah, you gotta like kind of I
- 0:23gotta. Stop eating.
- 0:25Yeah. Turn this way.
- 0:25No, I'm just turn this way. What have you been up to, man?
- 0:29Just. Busy.
- 0:29Busy with the NASCAR stuff. And yeah, this is actually the
- 0:34really fun time of year for NASCAR.
- 0:36Not just because the race coming to Saint Louis the following
- 0:40Sunday, but regular season finale was this past Saturday
- 0:44night Daytona, which was awesome.
- 0:46And so now you have, I'm sure you guys know all about the
- 0:48NASCAR playoffs, but. All we talk about. 10 race
- 0:51playoff. It's actually super fun.
- 0:54It's super interesting. Every three races they chop off
- 0:574 drivers, so there's like a sense of urgency for every race.
- 1:01It's really more. Rex because of that.
- 1:04Definitely more aggressive driving for sure.
- 1:07So yes. And that equals more Rex.
- 1:08That's what was so crazy about Daytona.
- 1:10Daytona was actually a clean finish, which you never see at
- 1:14Daytona. Because they're just, they're
- 1:16getting after it. Yes, well, there was a huge
- 1:18wreck early. Bubba Wallace kind of cleaned
- 1:21out. Cleaned out about were people.
- 1:23Pissed at him about that. Yeah, there was some talk.
- 1:26Was it Bubba's fault? Was it Kyle Larson's fault?
- 1:29I think it was Bubba's fault. But that also made the racing
- 1:32better because about 10 cars got cleaned out and there was more
- 1:35room to work. To operate, yeah, but those 10
- 1:37cars are like. Yes, and it was a lot of the big
- 1:40dogs, a lot of the big dogs. So what's the biggest storyline
- 1:43right now with NASCAR, you think?
- 1:45The biggest storyline and what was your biggest?
- 1:48What was your biggest YouTube hit this year?
- 1:50This year, what was it about? What was the topic?
- 1:53Well, and and we don't have to get all the way into this.
- 1:55I can't remember if we talked about it last year.
- 1:57I guess we didn't really have the show when this happened.
- 1:59So Michael Jordan, his team, 2311 Racing Co, owned by Denny
- 2:04Hamlin, they're suing NASCAR. So that's been an ongoing
- 2:08storyline. It started last year in October
- 2:10and basically we should have a trial in December.
- 2:14Suing. Suing them for what?
- 2:16Refresh. Essentially, it's monopolistic
- 2:18practices. It's kind of the first time
- 2:21every sport is obviously going through this.
- 2:23This is the first time that NASCAR is, I would call it
- 2:27having a real. Labor issue.
- 2:29Interesting. Yeah.
- 2:30So is this going to be public? Oh yeah.
- 2:33I mean, it's been it's been drama for a year now.
- 2:36They're going back and forth and we don't have to get it all into
- 2:39it. It's all it's interesting.
- 2:40But hey, Worldwide Technology Raceway race coming up.
- 2:45You got Darlington this Sunday. That's the first playoff race.
- 2:49Pretty sweet that Worldwide Technology Raceway has a playoff
- 2:52race. It used to be in June, so now
- 2:54you have the second playoff race of the year.
- 2:56It's going to be cooler, not super hot.
- 2:58It's going to be awesome. Here's the thing, in your
- 3:01position and again, tip of the cap, because no one in my
- 3:04opinion or in my little sphere knows more about this stuff than
- 3:07you but YouTube and social media, but your boy Kenny
- 3:11Wallace is instant offense. Controversy in NASCAR or a
- 3:17garage sale. That that guy is, I'm not
- 3:21kidding you. He is always entertaining,
- 3:23always interesting. I know he's a really nice guy
- 3:25too, but I mean, he is that guy's instant offense.
- 3:29Yeah. So I was at his house last week
- 3:31before the garage sale. They killed it with that garage
- 3:33sale. And by the way, he was selling,
- 3:35he was selling some legit memorabilia.
- 3:38I'm talking fire suits that he wore for NASCAR races.
- 3:42They actually opened it up to Facebook Marketplace because the
- 3:46garage sale's local. But there were people all over
- 3:48the country that were wanting some of those helmets that he
- 3:51actually. Wore.
- 3:53Hockey Bob, you know, Hockey Bob kept saying are you going to
- 3:56meet me there to do a story on his El Camino?
- 3:58And I said I actually did a story on his El Camino.
- 4:02If you remember couple years, he was.
- 4:03Picking his ass though, yes he was.
- 4:07I forgot about that. Yes, yes.
- 4:08Kind of ruined that. Could ruin your video.
- 4:10That thing would have gone viral.
- 4:12It should have went viral from him picking his ass but it
- 4:15didn't so I blame. Him.
- 4:18Oh my God. Great to see you guys.
- 4:19Yeah, man, you look tanned. Where did you go on vacation?
- 4:22Any vacations? What have you been doing?
- 4:24We've been doing a lot of mini vacations, a lot of pool.
- 4:27We've kind of become Innsbruck people this past summer, so a
- 4:31lot of Innsbruck. Just written different cabins
- 4:33with pools in it. So we actually, we actually
- 4:36purchased a rental asset. Cool.
- 4:38So we rented out almost every weekend, but I made sure they
- 4:43have some nice fiber Internet so I can do everything from out
- 4:46there and it's a nice 55 minute drive.
- 4:49Lake so easy from our house. Lake, you got a nice Is it on
- 4:52the lake? Well, it's on a little lake, but
- 4:55then it's a 5 minute walk from Aspen, which is the big the big
- 5:01boy with the fireworks and all that.
- 5:03Yeah. It's beautiful.
- 5:04They're 55 minutes away. Yeah. 55 minutes from I can
- 5:08leave my house and be at the place in 55 minutes.
- 5:11That's awful drive too. Yes, and I, we figured for the
- 5:14kids ages 7 and four, obviously when my daughter becomes a
- 5:19teenager, she won't want to be around us.
- 5:21She probably won't want to go, but we figure for about 5 years
- 5:24we probably have a five year win.
- 5:25She. Don't want to go without you?
- 5:26That's true. She'll want to bring friends
- 5:27that. 'D be.
- 5:28Awesome, this is where. Cam will caution you about the
- 5:32brain eating amoeba that's in every lake.
- 5:34Not there. How about?
- 5:35So you'll you'll like this? How about ticks?
- 5:38Oh, they're bad. They were really bad this year.
- 5:41There's some ticks that'll get you the spraying we have to do.
- 5:45I mean, you spray for everything, rodents, snakes, all
- 5:50the mosquitoes and all that. Yeah, they come in your house,
- 5:52outside of your house. You're by that lake.
- 5:54There's a lot going on. You're.
- 5:55Looking at water and you do a little fishing.
- 5:59Little bit of fishing. We caught a fish for the other
- 6:01day. 55 You've ever been there, Jimmy?
- 6:02It's really. Cool, no, but I with friends of
- 6:04ours have a place there and they're like you wouldn't
- 6:06believe how nice it is. We love it.
- 6:08They're going to have to. It's a weird spot where you you
- 6:11kind of go off the Highway 70 and you move around that little
- 6:14town there where there's like 2 little stop signs.
- 6:17Right city, right city. We're gonna do with that, yeah.
- 6:20That's a cool little little town.
- 6:22Yeah. So one of the days I had to, I
- 6:25had to go get something. They have a they have a Dollar
- 6:28General market that's pretty close, but sometimes you need
- 6:31something a little more. So I had to, I had to go
- 6:33somewhere else to get something I can't remember.
- 6:36And I stopped at one of the the gas station little grocery
- 6:39stores in downtown right city. I tweeted about it.
- 6:42This was, I don't know, couple, two months ago.
- 6:45And I roll in there, it was either 8:00 or 8:30.
- 6:49And I see this dude, nice dude, good old boy, probably whatever,
- 6:52you know, 6065 getting out of his truck.
- 6:55I say, how you doing? He says, how you doing?
- 6:57And I went to get something and he sat down at one of those
- 7:01video poker slot machines and just took out a couple $20
- 7:05bills. And I was just thinking to
- 7:06myself, I know gambling's everywhere and it's all good.
- 7:09And, and maybe this was this dude's maybe he does it every
- 7:12Saturday for an hour. And that's, that's just fun.
- 7:15But I think there's a lot of people also that probably just
- 7:17go there and they just, there goes the Social Security.
- 7:19And it was, it was Saturday morning.
- 7:21It was a beautiful summer day, 8830 in the morning, and I'm
- 7:26like, you're going right when it opens to start hitting those.
- 7:29I see it. Every day at.
- 7:31Sam's market out Yonder by me this way.
- 7:33They have nice, really nice comfortable chairs.
- 7:35They set it up. It's depressing.
- 7:37Very nice for you. Depressing.
- 7:38I was a little depressed, I know.
- 7:40I was hoping he just, hey, if that's his weekly 20 bucks and
- 7:44that's his fun, I get it. I hope that's all it is.
- 7:47And then so it pays off and you go to the cashier and that's how
- 7:50you get your money or. I've never played.
- 7:53No idea at the gas. Stations isn't that and I I
- 7:57should know more about this. Isn't that what's holding up the
- 7:59gambling or did for a while? I think so, yeah.
- 8:01OK. When I, I, when I was, I was up
- 8:03in Illinois and I know it's different, but I was, I played
- 8:05on one of those just for fun, 'cause we were killing time and
- 8:08I won and yeah, just walked right up to the bar and, and
- 8:11cashed the ticket right there. Remember, at top shooters,
- 8:13they'd win all the time. Oh yeah.
- 8:15All the time 15 or a box machine.
- 8:17There's a it'll be like a cash machine, like an arcade, but
- 8:19it's the reverse. But how are they allowed to do
- 8:20that if you're not allowed to gamble?
- 8:23Yeah, I don't know that. I I think I should know more
- 8:26about this but I I thought I read something that that was
- 8:28part of the reason it got held up till December.
- 8:32All all I know about being way out in the outskirts is a couple
- 8:36years ago went to a funeral way in, out in Illinois somewhere
- 8:39like a couple hours. And we believe and don't want to
- 8:44ask like we are all hungry so we're going to go eat.
- 8:47And so we asked the guy at a gas station, hey, you got a
- 8:50restaurant around here. He said, oh, no, not here.
- 8:54You're going to have to drive to whatever the place was that had
- 8:57the nearest restaurant that was literally 15 minutes away, 20
- 9:01minutes away, like. I don't know how you.
- 9:05Oh, not here. We don't have a restaurant.
- 9:07Food. No, not here in this little
- 9:09town. Let's go, Charlie Marlow.
- 9:11The Cardinals go. Real quick, let me finish my
- 9:14tweet. I'm saying back with the fellas
- 9:16on 590 or whatever they're calling it these days.
- 9:19That's fine. He was a speed merchant.
- 9:20We Here we go. We are the Lu Lu information.
- 9:24We like to push the Klis Lu info thing, yeah.
- 9:26Because here's the thing. But it's technically 590 still.
- 9:29Yeah, technically, yes, yes, OK. The business model that Dave
- 9:34Green has is, yes, that's part of what we are, but we want to
- 9:38push people to watch us first on YouTube live, watch the stream
- 9:43there, and then also people can be on the YouTube chat.
- 9:48Then that the benefit of that is you can RIP us and everyone sees
- 9:52it instead of us not reading it because it was mean to us.
- 9:55Now everyone you can just you can write on the YouTube chat
- 9:59right here, Charlie, and then RIP us and everyone can see it.
- 10:03First of all, this was a sabotage mission from Cam
- 10:06Jansen. You put me on, I'm going to call
- 10:07it the Love Handle Cam. Oh man.
- 10:10I mean, look at this I. No, no.
- 10:11That's why I'm here. That's why I'm here.
- 10:13I'm hiding. Can we can we, can we lower the
- 10:15camera as you said? Hey, keep, keep a comment, keep
- 10:19a comment. Hey.
- 10:21Thank you. Thank you, Terrell.
- 10:24But it's oh, that is that that science?
- 10:27Yes, in Vegas. Great.
- 10:29To see you no E on Marlo, but thank you for the comment.
- 10:33And also what'd you say, Cardinals?
- 10:35How about them? How about them Cardinals?
- 10:37They got the city talking. They got the city talking.
- 10:40We were chiming in, I saw that, I saw that and we talked a
- 10:44little bit before we we started talking on air.
- 10:46It is it's sad. It's sad to see what's going on
- 10:50right now because, and I say this with love, but when I got
- 10:53here in O 8 and then 11 to 15, we're talking truly magical
- 10:59Octobers and some some of the most fun I've ever had in my
- 11:01life covering sports were those Octobers with the Cardinals.
- 11:06And we need to get back to it. We need to.
- 11:08Get back to it. See it's.
- 11:10It's sparse down there, man. It is, but I also.
- 11:13Just a runway season. I get it.
- 11:16Yeah, now I get. And you know what?
- 11:17I I do think that where I'm at right now in my sports fandom, I
- 11:22think I'm kind of a good barometer for what's going on in
- 11:25Saint Louis. Only because I didn't grow up
- 11:27here. So I'm not a huge fan growing up
- 11:30of the teams. I'm a NASCAR guy now in terms of
- 11:32what I focused on, but you can really get me interested if
- 11:37you're good. So last year, I'll be honest, I
- 11:40didn't watch a lot of Blues until.
- 11:42They go on the win streak. Yeah, Damn.
- 11:44Right. I was into it and then I watched
- 11:45every second of every playoff game.
- 11:48I'm excited for Mizzou football. I didn't go to Mizzou, but I'm
- 11:50excited. I like the Thursday night games.
- 11:52I'm excited to watch that, watch the quarterback competition,
- 11:56even though I don't really know about the roster and all that.
- 11:59Cardinals, you got to bring me back and I think there's a lot
- 12:02of people like that. I'm no longer a die hard so the
- 12:05Cardinals need to bring me back and get me interested again.
- 12:10Bring that back. Is that fair, Charlie?
- 12:12Just threw down the gauntlet, bring Charlie back.
- 12:14But that's bring him back. But that's how I feel that no I
- 12:17agree if the Cardinals went on AI know they sold.
- 12:20But if they went on a 11 game win streak and even if they made
- 12:23the wild card, I would be locked in in September and I would be
- 12:26locked into every playoff game. I think that's a fair barometer,
- 12:31right? You're you're now saying I'm
- 12:33sort of a casual with a background in this, and now you
- 12:36got to woo me back. Yes, let's woo Charlie back.
- 12:41They have to do it. They, they, them.
- 12:44They have to they. Them Haim.
- 12:47Haim. The players, the organization,
- 12:51let's do this. It is sad to see those those
- 12:54pictures, though. I think I've been to three
- 12:56Cardinals games this year. I went to one of them on a
- 12:58Saturday night. Dude it was so hot.
- 13:02This was about a month ago. Can't do it.
- 13:04I sat out with with the family in the seats for about two
- 13:07innings and then my kids want to go to the playground.
- 13:10Dude, you're dripping. Oh yeah, that's why you got to
- 13:12get get champions. Club Well, here's what I had,
- 13:14though. I played high school basketball.
- 13:17That's right, that's right. So we did champions.
- 13:20I'm, I'm, I'm a total Princess now when it comes to Cardinal
- 13:23games. I am I didn't I with everything
- 13:26so. So to start the year we had, you
- 13:28know, you have the, you have the auctions at the kids school,
- 13:30they auction off all the deals and I always try to get
- 13:32something. And so there was this one club,
- 13:35it was maybe the Enterprise club or something.
- 13:37So I'm like, I'll get 4 Cardinal sticks.
- 13:38This was this was April. I don't know if I ever want to
- 13:42come to Busch Stadium ever again without sitting in this spot.
- 13:45I know bar, food, bathroom, bathroom.
- 13:49This was, I think it was the, it was AI think it was named after
- 13:52one of the rental cars. So then we go back couple months
- 13:55ago, buddies. It was the IT was the game that
- 13:58had a 2 hour rain delay on a Tuesday night.
- 14:01Fun. That's fun.
- 14:02And I'm like, I'm like, I don't really want to go because it's
- 14:06going to be a 2 hour rain delay. And my buddy's like, hey, we
- 14:08have Champions club, we got the pool holes club.
- 14:10I'm like, all right, I'm going to go down there.
- 14:11And we sat for two hours, ate and drank during the rain delay,
- 14:15watched 5 innings and then split that pool holes club.
- 14:19Here's the one good thing about the Cardinals being bad
- 14:22unfortunately is they have deals.
- 14:25You can get that Pujols club my buddy was telling me for 60
- 14:28bucks on a Tuesday if it's not a great game.
- 14:30Where's that at? That seven O 3 club.
- 14:32Oh yeah, yeah, OK. I mean, you got pizza, shrimp
- 14:36cocktail, tacos, drinking, I mean, nice spot.
- 14:41It's not it's not the sit down meal of the Champions Club, but
- 14:45it's really good. Grab a piece of pizza, grab a
- 14:47hot dog, grab a Bratwurst. It's anal.
- 14:49What? I know that's the only one like.
- 14:52Cam City Anal. What was Charlie?
- 14:55That's the only one I had a question about because I don't
- 14:57remember that and it seemed like you were doing play.
- 15:00I feel like I'd rather be a fascist.
- 15:03No, just play that. Do you remember this?
- 15:04Because it that one, the anal thing, it, it sounds like you
- 15:09were doing play by play and they just scored.
- 15:12I have, no, I have no idea. What's funny is so when you guys
- 15:16came back on, so basically, and I, I would listen to more stuff,
- 15:21but the problem is when I'm working, I have headphones in,
- 15:24I'm listening to our own stuff. So, you know, if you had a desk
- 15:27job where you're firing off emails, I could listen to radio
- 15:29and podcast, but I can't do that 'cause I'm doing video and audio
- 15:33myself. But if I drop my kids off and
- 15:36I'm in the car from let's say whatever, 83840 and, and I, I
- 15:40will go back and forth 'cause you know, you guys were off the
- 15:42air for a minute and like I would hear myself on both
- 15:45stations. It's like, why do I even ever
- 15:48have to come back to radio? Because I'm still on the radio
- 15:51through drops. Honestly, the WNBA should be in
- 15:53Saint Louis. I still, I still believe that,
- 15:56but I'll have people. I'll have people tell me whether
- 16:00it's this show, morning after. And they're like, dude, it's
- 16:04like you're still on the show. When I think of the Dewitts and
- 16:06John Mosaic, I think of drunken sailors.
- 16:08There you go. That's the impact you've had on
- 16:10broadcasting Charlie. And also it also shows that the
- 16:14the shows that are on now are terrible and don't have their
- 16:16own content. I wish I had some some royalties
- 16:19off. That Yeah.
- 16:20Well, hold on. I have to just show you some
- 16:22This is bad. This is going to be bad radio
- 16:25and it's going to be bad TV too. I just want to ask you, is this
- 16:29a good thumbnail? I just want to ask you that,
- 16:31Frank, how are you today? We found the Frank drop too, by
- 16:36the way. Is this a good?
- 16:37Is that a good thumbnail? Just say yes or no.
- 16:39For for podcast, obviously because it's a square, yes, a
- 16:44little too much, a little too much text for me, but it's not
- 16:48bad here. Here's a good way.
- 16:49I know people don't care about this.
- 16:51No I do but they always say for a thumbnail check it on your
- 16:54phone. Like go to YouTube Go to podcast
- 16:58and look at your thumbnail on your phone and if you can't
- 17:01decipher the text you have too much text or it's too small.
- 17:05They always say less is more. 2 words is better than 33 words is
- 17:10better than 4. What's the hardest part of your
- 17:12gig? Just the timing of editing, like
- 17:14the time. So I wouldn't say it's when I
- 17:17say hard, there's a drop there. But so, so we really, I'll say
- 17:23this, I probably took on too much work this year with what
- 17:26we're doing with Dirty MO Media, which is all good, but it's just
- 17:30a lot because we do 2 full length, 60 to 90 minute podcasts
- 17:36per week. And you almost have to edit them
- 17:38differently for audio than you do for video and the social
- 17:42clips. And by the way, I love it.
- 17:44It's going well. It's just I was thinking to
- 17:48myself, so 2024 in a way was was my favorite year ever for for
- 17:53work because I literally had no boss.
- 17:56But we still worked our ass off, but I could do it whenever I
- 17:58wanted to 5:00 in the morning, 9:00 at night.
- 18:02So this now we're we have a very regimented schedule.
- 18:05My Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays are very regimented with when
- 18:09the podcast have to be, you know, 'cause we're through
- 18:12serious. So you got to get them in early.
- 18:14We also, you know, we're, we're growing the sense where now I'm
- 18:18talking with ad agencies and you're doing all that And you
- 18:21know, if you're doing that, they want stuff very specific and you
- 18:24got to have hyperlinks and you got to have it approved.
- 18:27You got to do an ad, you got to get it approved.
- 18:29So there's a lot of that going on.
- 18:30So I think we'll hire someone hopefully to do some of that
- 18:34stuff and some of the editing as well.
- 18:36It's a good problem to have, But you know, it's funny because
- 18:40whether it's you guys, other shows and like, you know, can
- 18:43you come on? And I'm like, dude, I'm super
- 18:44busy. My my Fridays are are pretty
- 18:47good, but my Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays are are
- 18:49pretty damn busy. But you made time for us today,
- 18:51baby. I did, yes.
- 18:53Thank yes. I woke up early though.
- 18:55I stayed up last night. Big podcast with Ryan Priess,
- 18:59NASCAR driver. That'll come out tomorrow.
- 19:01How much sleep you getting at night?
- 19:03I probably get 6. 'Cause you're you stay up late.
- 19:07Dude, six to seven. I don't know how you do it, but
- 19:08I try not to. Problem is.
- 19:10Like I have that coffee at late at night.
- 19:12I try to wake up at 5:00, but there's some nights where if I'm
- 19:16flowing, I'll just go till 12:30 and then I don't wake up at
- 19:215:00. But the goal is if I could, if I
- 19:23could go to bed at 11 and get up at 5:00.
- 19:25But there's some nights where if I'm still feeling good and I'm
- 19:27getting my work done, I'll just. Keep going, just get it done.
- 19:30I saw you did a clip of Portnoy getting the band from the the
- 19:35horseshoe to heat. Is that is that fake?
- 19:37Is that OK? Now, just because Rakio said
- 19:39this, so are you now of the ilk that you think that Ohio State
- 19:43didn't ban him and it was Fox Sports?
- 19:45Wasn't it, Isn't it the, isn't it the reporting?
- 19:47OK, but do you really think? But do you?
- 19:51Really think that that wasn't done for Ohio State.
- 19:56Like it gets back to the whole Michigan punishment thing.
- 20:00What are the biggest brands in the Big 10?
- 20:02And now you have Oregon and all that, but it's Ohio State and
- 20:04Michigan. These are billion dollar TV
- 20:08contracts. You're not going to piss.
- 20:10Off Ohio State. I do love Ohio State, but I also
- 20:12understand. I also understand why Michigan.
- 20:15You're not going to punish Michigan and have them get a
- 20:19post season ban when you're trying to make money off of
- 20:23showing their games. You're not going to piss off
- 20:26Ohio State. Like I don't know how it went
- 20:29down, but in my opinion, and it's not just Portnoy not being
- 20:32on the desk, Barstool's not there.
- 20:36Barstool's show outside of Columbus was cancelled also.
- 20:39So people can say whatever you want, but like if you don't
- 20:43think that wasn't done to basically cater to Ohio State,
- 20:47which has every single big game on Big noon kick off by the way,
- 20:51Ohio State fans are starting to get pissed at Fox because they
- 20:54want night games. They want white out and some
- 20:57people don't like noon games. I do.
- 21:00I like getting them over with. But like Michigan game noon.
- 21:03I mean, the biggest football game arguably of the entire year
- 21:07is at noon coming up here on Saturday.
- 21:10And I'm here for. It but I think I think most
- 21:12college football fans want the night game or historically the
- 21:163:30 SEC game has been the great window.
- 21:20But the question, I think, is what tweaks does Palante need to
- 21:25make himself back on track I. Don't know.
- 21:29And to be honest with you, like I said, I'm just, I'm not
- 21:31interested. No, I can't.
- 21:32I don't even watch and I hate to say that I just don't I.
- 21:36Think a lot of people are thinking that too.
- 21:38The TV ratings last I checked were OK.
- 21:40For two years I pretended to watch most of the games when I
- 21:44really didn't watch them. But yeah, that was COVID.
- 21:48But if people aren't going to games and they still have some
- 21:51interest, they'll watch it on TVA little bit, which is which
- 21:55is good. But this is I like this.
- 21:58We have to win over Marlow because in a sense, in this
- 22:02case, you're kind of like a lot of people.
- 22:05I think that I I agree. With that, the casual fan, I'm a
- 22:09sports fan. What if they got a big bopper
- 22:11spending money? Sure, just just win some games.
- 22:14What if it's, I mean, it could be Weatherholt, it could be
- 22:17Herrera, healthy for a full year.
- 22:19June 2020. Sixth at the earliest.
- 22:21Bring back, bring back Luke and Bacon.
- 22:22There you bring him back well, bring bring bring the holes back
- 22:26I'm. 26th the earliest Charlie, sorry about your.
- 22:28Body yes I've punted on 2025 I'm I'm already looking towards.
- 22:31I think most people, most people have.
- 22:34I don't know why they wouldn't bring up Weatherholt to give
- 22:36them a little taste and but they're not.
- 22:38They're not. I wasn't even trying to weigh
- 22:40into that debate because there's all that with 40 men and service
- 22:43time and all that. If it's next year, I mean, I
- 22:46think it helps a guy to give him a a cup of coffee, but whatever.
- 22:49To me, 2025 is essentially over in the sense of being
- 22:54competitive. So let's build towards next.
- 22:56Year are you? Are you still doing the pod with
- 22:59Eric Metra Smith? We're not, you know, we've been
- 23:01talking a little bit and I, I talked to Dave Green about maybe
- 23:04getting Eric involved because Eric follows the NFL a lot.
- 23:08So my thing with Eric was, so we did it last year and just
- 23:13because it's an election year, that's what everybody's talking
- 23:15about anyway. So it made sense and I did enjoy
- 23:18doing it once a week, but then once the election ended I found
- 23:21myself just not caring as much. There is a lot going on though.
- 23:25I know there is a lot going on, but I also can't pay attention.
- 23:28It's hard to to the point to really weigh in on it.
- 23:31So. But that Cracker Barrel thing?
- 23:33Wow. That Cracker Barrel thing,
- 23:35that's the thing. Who cares?
- 23:38You know what, I, and again, no one cares about this, but I'm
- 23:41very excited. I have this other YouTube
- 23:44channel because the YouTube channel that we started that is
- 23:46now STL Sports Central. I'm very happy and excited.
- 23:49It's growing at a pace that I could never take it to by myself
- 23:52and 15,000 subscribers. Dave Green.
- 23:56Dave Green But it also became something when I started that I
- 23:59just want it to be anything I want to talk about.
- 24:01The way YouTube works, as you guys know, it kind of just
- 24:04becomes what your audience wants.
- 24:05So that became a Saint Louis Cardinals channel when I really
- 24:09didn't want it to be, to be honest.
- 24:11But that's all that people watch.
- 24:13So I just went with it. I would like to create a
- 24:15channel, and this is my goal is in the next four or five months,
- 24:17I'm just going to whenever I want to talk about anything, I'm
- 24:20going to throw it all out there, become what it becomes.
- 24:24If it's college football, it's college football.
- 24:25If it's me talking about stupid crap, if I if I dabble in
- 24:29anything political like the stupid Cracker Barrel, I'm going
- 24:32to let the audience decide what that Channel is.
- 24:35OK. If it's YouTube, it could be
- 24:37YouTube monetization. I'm just going to for about four
- 24:40or five months. I'm going to throw anything out
- 24:41there I want to talk about and we'll see what sticks and I'm
- 24:44I'm excited about that. That's pretty.
- 24:45Cool, that's cool. Yeah, maybe throw in Berkey if
- 24:48he's going to be back or not. See.
- 24:50Do you know anything about have you paid?
- 24:52Have you watched one soccer game in the past couple years?
- 24:56I've never been to a game live. I do want to.
- 24:59Sometimes I'll be at a bar and I'll watch couple minutes.
- 25:04I hear they're firing everybody. They're firing people.
- 25:06I know Rock's excited. What I love about Rock is Rock
- 25:09is so in the mix on Slew basketball and City Soccer and
- 25:14he will tweet stuff and to me it's it's Mandarin Chinese I.
- 25:18Know that's what I tell him. We told him that.
- 25:21No, but like I'm sure for those people, they know exactly what
- 25:24the shape and the 343 or 424, whatever it is like to me.
- 25:29But I love, I love the passion that rock has.
- 25:31Like I can see the passion in the tweets for Slew basketball
- 25:34and for soccer. Damn right.
- 25:35I'm glad that comes through. It does.
- 25:37Seriously. And I love rock.
- 25:38Can I say this about rock? When rock went to the other
- 25:41place, I always felt I was like, you know, again, whatever.
- 25:46We're calling this 590, Lou. Information.
- 25:50Station. Whatever it is, God, this
- 25:53building to me OK. The House of Dave, We call it
- 25:56the House of Dave Green. It's right there, House of Dave
- 25:58Green. My point is, Rock to me always
- 26:01felt like he belonged here. You know what I'm saying?
- 26:05Wow. No, I'm saying that.
- 26:08Wow. Is it a compliment?
- 26:09No, it is a compliment. I don't.
- 26:10No, what I'm saying is no, that's 100% a compliment.
- 26:13When Rock went to one O 1, I was kind of like, but he's our guy.
- 26:16He's always been our guy, you know what I'm saying?
- 26:18Like, like Rock is a grinder. He's a looinfo.com.
- 26:22He does a KLIS grinder. I just feel like that's dude,
- 26:25that was a compliment. I just felt like he was one of
- 26:28us in the sense that like, this is where he belongs.
- 26:30Yeah, I get to throw another one.
- 26:31That's not a shot at one O 1. No, it's not, but in a way it.
- 26:34Kinda is. Let me see.
- 26:35No it isn't. Can I put this in soccer terms?
- 26:37You're saying like I belong here too, so why that Rock is an MLS
- 26:42player and could never get a high salary at the Bundesliga or
- 26:45the. Other Bundesliga.
- 26:47I just feel like the other Bundesliga, whatever we're
- 26:49calling this building for 1012 years, it's changed buildings 47
- 26:54times, different staff. But I feel like Rock was always
- 26:57here, whether it was Saint Charles, he was our guy.
- 27:00He was our guy. That's all I'm saying.
- 27:01That wasn't a shot at him. That wasn't a shot at 101.
- 27:04I just felt like he just kind of, he's changed, embodied what
- 27:07this building was like. He.
- 27:08Used to be blue collar, now he's not Charlie.
- 27:10No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 27:12Dang it. No, he's Country Club.
- 27:14He's a Country Club kid. He drives an Audi.
- 27:17Oh, I think it looked pretty damn good.
- 27:19Well, that's because the comment keep the comment.
- 27:22The comment covers up the love handle.
- 27:24Guys Charlie needs his love handle is covered.
- 27:25We need more comments. What's what's what's hashtag
- 27:30radio wars? So Iggy, I saw that.
- 27:32Yeah, so Iggy out of the blue called me out because he's not
- 27:36working here like I. If you stop listening to our
- 27:39show, go listen to Brendan Schaefer, there's something
- 27:41terribly wrong with you. So I just put it out there that
- 27:45it's we're doing hot take Central.
- 27:47Like when we came up with the idea was me, you and Cam, and
- 27:50then you did your thing and you left and we had Brendan Schaefer
- 27:54in who I think is going to end up owning everything.
- 27:56I think he's really good. He has a problem with his eyes
- 27:59appearing dead at sometimes, according to Rob.
- 28:02I like Brendan, but he's really smart and back then it was Iggy.
- 28:07Someone from their listeners sent us a tape of Iggy for some
- 28:11reason calling out Schaefer. That was last year, though,
- 28:13right? Yeah, right.
- 28:14Yeah. So anyway, so now I'm called out
- 28:16and I just said to I just said it was hot to accept was never
- 28:21Iggy. Like what were people clamoring
- 28:24that hell, it's going to be Cam Hayes and Iggy or Iggy and Cam?
- 28:28No, it was never that. For the second.
- 28:30For the second or the 1st. So why would you call me out
- 28:34like I have like I'm walking around here saying no, Iggy, I
- 28:38had nothing to do with it. So then I also pointed out
- 28:41because he's always that's hey, he's bullying me.
- 28:43No, you called me out and then we play this drop all the time.
- 28:46If you stop listening to our show, go listen to Brendan
- 28:48Schaefer, there's something terribly wrong with you.
- 28:50Like that's a shot at the new guy on our show, Brendan, who
- 28:53didn't have his legs under him, Brandon, right.
- 28:56And so I, I, I said you're the bully.
- 28:59And then it got into a thing. Now it's all that's.
- 29:02All that's good. So it was nothing against so
- 29:05dumb TMA or anything. It was just Iggy.
- 29:07It was Iggy against me. Gotcha.
- 29:10Yeah, Jim just kind of caught a couple strays.
- 29:13Gotcha. And I don't I all I did was.
- 29:14And he was not going to be quiet about it.
- 29:16Yeah, sure. You know, you know he is.
- 29:18Oh, let's see here, man. People are talking about you see
- 29:20that, that that gambling stuff at every single gas station.
- 29:23I see it everywhere. Charlie out by me, dude.
- 29:28So. It's crazy.
- 29:30I've talked about this before, but my first job in TV Upper
- 29:33Peninsula of Michigan, you got all the Indian Reservation
- 29:37casinos up there. There's a million of them.
- 29:39And I was. Working what's up?
- 29:41Are they nice? Some of them are, yeah, this was
- 29:43Upper Peninsula. I mean, some of them downstate,
- 29:45some are nice, some aren't. But so I'm working nights and I
- 29:50was really into poker at the time and I remember I would, I'd
- 29:53work my shift and sometimes I'd play all night.
- 29:56I'd play until whatever, 567 in the morning and I'm leaving when
- 30:00folks are coming in and you're seeing those old folks homes,
- 30:05buses roll up right and the the elevator escalator deal comes
- 30:10down and the wheelchairs come out and they set them all up
- 30:13right in front of the slot machines.
- 30:15I'm just thinking whether it's Social Security or your kids and
- 30:18grandkids inheritance, it's all just going.
- 30:21It's all going. All day long.
- 30:23And it was 'cause, you know, casinos are always purposely
- 30:26dark. I hate.
- 30:27Them, but it's 6 and it's more depressing when it's 678 in the
- 30:31morning but you're in the dark casino and then I'm leaving.
- 30:35Now, if you won money, you're feeling great, but if you leave
- 30:37at 6-7 in the morning and you lost money, you kind of are at
- 30:42the lowest point you've ever been.
- 30:43You got to go home to that you. Got to gamble within your limits
- 30:46I. Know, but even even if you lose
- 30:48a couple 100, if you just spent 6-7 hours in the casino and then
- 30:52you lost on a hand where you did something stupid because you got
- 30:55to drive home. Yeah.
- 30:58Yeah you just lost 200 bucks you got to pay 60 for gas.
- 31:01You I just freaking I know wasted 3 tanks.
- 31:04Why I don't do it? I do love gambling, it's fun if
- 31:07you have a sponsor I do like. Not every old person gambles.
- 31:09My grandmother, she had a senior group and they used to take a
- 31:12casino to Atlantic City. They'd give him free lunch.
- 31:15It was a nice little bus trip and they'd give him like $2530
- 31:19to gamble with and she would bring that money home.
- 31:21She didn't gamble. She went for the lunch.
- 31:24They'd sit outside, they'd look around, they'd get back on the
- 31:27bus. You know what we need to do
- 31:28again. What's that?
- 31:29Oh, the bus with. George Strait, Oh God, yeah, is.
- 31:32That coming back, yes, I'll do that in a heartbeat.
- 31:36Yes, can you let hi who we got here Kylie, isn't it that's.
- 31:41Kylie. Yep, she does the She'll have a
- 31:42key to get her. A.
- 31:44Key she needs. Yeah, she needs to get a key.
- 31:45Mizzou and Cardinal stuff we. Need to do that and cruise
- 31:48around and watch some games on a Saturday.
- 31:50For sure we did. And we also need to go to
- 31:53another comedy show with the girls.
- 31:56Yes. I had a damn good time that was
- 31:59going on that yes, we do and I'm not working intentionally, yes.
- 32:02All right, it'll be yes. We'll do it in the fall.
- 32:05Who would you want to see? Comedy.
- 32:07Who would you want it? Because Airy Spears was I I got
- 32:10my mind right, of course, I always helped.
- 32:12I couldn't stop. I laughed the whole time.
- 32:14The. Whole time I'm trying to think
- 32:16you want it to be in in a club like that.
- 32:18Not A, not AII, just Theater I. Kind of liked it with no lines
- 32:23at the bar, you know? It's not that packed.
- 32:25Yeah, I like that little wizard. A funny bone.
- 32:27Where'd we go? Right there in Westport.
- 32:30I mean, I'd go see Mark Norman. Oh, I love Mark Norman.
- 32:33Is he too big for that? He's.
- 32:34Going to be way too big for that.
- 32:36I love I can't believe Harry Spears was there and that's why
- 32:38Cole jumped all over that. It was the funniest damn thing
- 32:41ever. I I laughed so hard man we got
- 32:43we got to find another comedian to go see.
- 32:46I don't know if I'm. That's helium, right?
- 32:47Yeah, I guess that was helium. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:49That was a nice old place, man. You go down the OR elevators and
- 32:53all of a sudden that's badass bars right there.
- 32:55No line anywhere. Let's see who they got coming
- 32:57up. Man oh man, I would definitely,
- 33:00definitely go to another one of those.
- 33:01It's good to hear the band back together, even if it's for only
- 33:04one hour. Spartan 4/4 What's up, baby?
- 33:06Hour and 15 minutes. Hour and 15 minutes.
- 33:09You're damn right. I've never heard any of these
- 33:11dudes coming. Yeah, see, that's the thing.
- 33:13Doesn't matter though. Sometimes you just go to a
- 33:14comedy club, guys, and there's someone great in there.
- 33:17Yep, You know, sprinkled. I go see Greg Warren.
- 33:20Yeah, I love that guy. He's funny as hell.
- 33:21Absolutely. Who else is on the mix?
- 33:24Adam Ray is one of the funniest guys going, but he's gigantic.
- 33:28Now I like his impersonations. It's on his.
- 33:30Biden, his Doctor Phil, is just, oh, Doctor Phil.
- 33:32That's his. It's so good.
- 33:34What? The.
- 33:35Shows that he's doing with other comedians are The clips I'm
- 33:38seeing from those are hilarious. They're hilarious.
- 33:40I used to sit down and watch a full run of those because
- 33:41they're absolutely. Great.
- 33:42He has like 15 different characters.
- 33:44He does it's he's brilliant. He now he's got this like Jersey
- 33:48guy that's, you know, kind of a creep.
- 33:50And Jimmy? Thoughts.
- 33:51Man, oh man. I had a little cultural
- 33:54appropriation. I like I like Maniscalco but I
- 33:57think his time may be over. He might be sun setting.
- 34:00I we watched one of his specials on Netflix or something he's and
- 34:05it made me laugh like out loud like cramping up laughing on a
- 34:08couple. Yeah, we love him, I feel like.
- 34:09With comedians, did you ever see him live?
- 34:11I did. We saw him live here over at the
- 34:14Fox couple three years ago. Whatever it is, I feel like with
- 34:17comedians, right? I mean, Chappelle always runs
- 34:20the show, and then Bill Burr kind of owned everything for a
- 34:23couple years. And then Maniscalco I feel like
- 34:25had a year or two where he was the top dog.
- 34:27Now, is it Shane Gillis? Is that fair to say?
- 34:30Adam Ray and Tony Hinchcliffe. OK.
- 34:32But and I like Adam Ray, don't you think?
- 34:35Adam Ray to me is more of impersonations.
- 34:38Yeah, I don't, I don't know his. In terms of actual straight
- 34:41stand up, I wouldn't put him up there with Shane Gillis.
- 34:44I say Shane Gillis is way up there.
- 34:46Mark Norman to me is hilarious and also Mark Norman is really
- 34:50funny on podcasts as a guest. That's what I hear.
- 34:53He's really good. He's great on like Channel 2
- 34:56whenever he's sitting. There makes it real
- 34:58uncomfortable. They don't know what to do when
- 35:00when they interview him. Yeah, I love that.
- 35:02Why am I blank though? Dan Soder is fantastic.
- 35:06I literally listened to him for like 2 years and then I found
- 35:09out he's been dating. What's her name the entire time?
- 35:13Katie Nolan. Oh, really?
- 35:15Yeah, he's been dating Katie Nolan.
- 35:16For the last like two or three years, they live together now.
- 35:18He's like he he was on Pablo Torre Finds Out with Katie Nolan
- 35:22one time and they were just talking about comedy.
- 35:23It was a fantastic episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out.
- 35:25It was literally just more of like a podcast than just him,
- 35:28Katie Nolan, who had been best friends for a long time, Pablo
- 35:30and her and then Dan Soder, really famous comedian dating
- 35:33Katie Nolan for years now. It was a great like three person
- 35:36podcast that was on one time. But yeah, Dan Soder is one of my
- 35:38favorites right now. So he was on.
- 35:40I'd never heard of him until Billions in the show.
- 35:43We really got into about whatever.
- 35:44Yeah, I remember we were talking about he was kind of a a bit a
- 35:47bit character on that show. Why doesn't college football
- 35:50start earlier? See, I don't like week zero last
- 35:54year, last week. I don't like that.
- 35:56Why? I don't know.
- 35:58I just here's what I was actually thinking about this.
- 36:01Maybe it's what I don't like is I don't like the Ireland deal.
- 36:05OK, even the fight afterwards, that was funny.
- 36:09And and maybe it's because it was Iowa State and Kansas State,
- 36:12but like, when Notre Dame opened in Ireland, I was like, yeah,
- 36:14yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Notre Dame and Ireland, you're a
- 36:18Irish fan, whatever, go to that game.
- 36:21But like Kansas State and Iowa State and Ireland, I mean, do
- 36:25people in Ireland even know what Iowa and Kansas is?
- 36:28But it's it's a lot like when the Rams played in England.
- 36:31Those Irish folks will be going to Manhattan and boosting the
- 36:35tourists trade there. You know, like the tourism jump
- 36:39with Irish nationals coming. I don't get it either.
- 36:42I. Have an idea though for college
- 36:43football this is what I would do.
- 36:44What do you guys think of this? NFL hasn't started yet so you
- 36:46can do the week 0 whatever. But what if you started the
- 36:49season? You you keep you keep Ohio
- 36:51State, Texas as the big game on Saturday, but you can start the
- 36:55season on any day. What if you started the season
- 36:59with on a Monday? You had one awesome game every
- 37:03night Monday. Let's say you have the LSU
- 37:06versus Clemson game. What is it?
- 37:08Is it Miami, Notre Dame? You take all those games but one
- 37:11on Monday, 1:00 on Tuesday, stand alone night games for
- 37:14every single one of those and just get people super excited.
- 37:18I like that all those games own the night.
- 37:21What do you think, Rock? Yeah, I mean, I, I get the fun
- 37:24of it. I get why they're they're trying
- 37:25to make the games international. But yeah, it's stupid.
- 37:28Just just like Charlie said, you, you can, you can take over
- 37:32these entire sections of the week if you really want to with
- 37:35football, especially before the NFL starts, you know, weaponize
- 37:39that and do it. If you're be great.
- 37:41If you're AK State fan though, you have limited amount of home
- 37:44games right? Lot of them probably don't want
- 37:48to travel to Ireland for various reasons.
- 37:51You could watch it on TV but you want to go to your game.
- 37:54I mean, that's what you do with Manhattan, KS.
- 37:58It just felt weird. It was weird.
- 38:00And then the fight afterwards in the parking lot did his.
- 38:04The quarterback's dad fought his other son right?
- 38:08Does that happen? It's a step son, I heard, I
- 38:11think. I don't know.
- 38:12How unbelievable is that? So I thought it was somebody who
- 38:16was ripping on the kid. You know, I thought it was
- 38:18somebody who was ripping on the quarterback.
- 38:19So he was defending his son. I I want to know.
- 38:22I want to know how it started. Yeah.
- 38:23Now I'm curious, are you going to throw any coin down on
- 38:26anything lately? I will.
- 38:28Hey. What's the Mizzou line wins I.
- 38:30Have no idea, but Dave Green, I do want to get involved with the
- 38:32gambling stuff. So whatever people are doing, I
- 38:35know they started the new channel.
- 38:37You know, they started the new football channel.
- 38:39Rock, what is it called? Southeast sports fans.
- 38:41Southeast sports fans, so I. Had I was gonna send an e-mail,
- 38:43I'm like, can I do Ohio State stuff on that or do I see?
- 38:45I don't. I'm tired of starting new
- 38:47channels. Sorry, no, I said you got to
- 38:49start a Big 10. You guys are on OK, the Big 18,
- 38:51right? I don't want to start a new
- 38:52channel. Can I 'cause I will be the guy
- 38:54that pokes the bear on the SEC? We will talk about, we'll talk
- 38:57about Ohio State on STL Sports Central.
- 38:59Look at that. But how about this week?
- 39:01The biggest game is an SEC team. In theory, whatever.
- 39:04Texas, I mean. Oh, they're SEC now, even though
- 39:06I don't feel like they're really SEC.
- 39:09Same with Mizzou. And by the way, everybody should
- 39:11go back to the old conferences. OK, I've always thought that.
- 39:15I like it when. He's not going, by the way.
- 39:16I'm not going back to the big. 12 What does it matter now you
- 39:18have a playoff, Everybody should go back.
- 39:21The fact that Oregon is in the Big 10, I don't.
- 39:23Want to play? Oklahoma is so stupid.
- 39:25I. Don't want to play Oklahoma
- 39:26State and Baylor anymore? OK, but you'd have Texas still
- 39:29and Oklahoma? I enjoyed not playing them for a
- 39:31decade. It was fun, it was fun, it was
- 39:33bliss. OK, but the fact that the PAC
- 39:3512, does it even exist? I don't even know it does.
- 39:37Exist now it is. What is it?
- 39:38Boise State? It's.
- 39:39It's pretty much, I think it's everybody with state in their
- 39:41name, Fresno State, Boise State, San Jose State, San Diego State.
- 39:44Washington State. It was way.
- 39:46Better back in the day, San Diego.
- 39:47State don't come after the Aztecs.
- 39:50That's. It was way.
- 39:51Better back in the day, that's when TJ MO had that night and
- 39:53they played he would talk about it every single day on the show
- 39:56and they play the highlight of that clip leading into our show
- 39:58I just. Think about Marshall Faulk.
- 40:00Dave also is doing other things I know he was going to talk to
- 40:03you about. He's starting a channel strictly
- 40:04for people that don't like animals.
- 40:06Sure. So you could maybe do a are.
- 40:08You thinking about no dog? Nothing.
- 40:10Kitty cats? Nothing.
- 40:11Oh, we'll do a dog. My kids want a dog so bad.
- 40:13I bet they do, Charlie. Once my kid gets through the
- 40:16allergy stuff, I think we'll get a dog.
- 40:17What? Kind.
- 40:17What kind? So we'll probably have to go
- 40:21with the hypoallergenic, which means it's only the it's a
- 40:24doodle dog, Fifi Foo Foo. So how do you explain to your
- 40:27kid when they say, hey, listen, last time we we, we went to
- 40:30lunch at this place, everybody else had their dog with them.
- 40:33Can we bring our dog with us for lunch?
- 40:35No, my kids, my kids through through genetics, realize that
- 40:38that's something you're not supposed to do.
- 40:42We care about other people, OK? We look out for you.
- 40:45Look out for we got to play that drop.
- 40:47Sorry, I care about people more than animals.
- 40:49That's true. We were thinking about having.
- 40:52I had black friends. Seeing if he could bring Stella
- 40:55in this morning. We didn't do it.
- 40:57We didn't do it. But my, I was talking about, I
- 40:59told my wife you were coming on and we're talking about that.
- 41:02And she remembers like Stella really liked you, like you were
- 41:05petting Stella and you I like. Dogs I do I miss having a dog I
- 41:09like. Dogs.
- 41:11I I missed having a dog? Yeah, he likes them at about at
- 41:15about 170° in a car. That was fake news.
- 41:19I did see my dog Otis for the first time in a couple years
- 41:23over Christmas last year. What happened to Otis?
- 41:26You gave them to family, right? Well my wife's my wife's Co
- 41:30worker and they love Otis. They had another dog that passed
- 41:34away. Wait, you got you got rid of
- 41:36Otis. This was about 3 years ago.
- 41:38Oh no. Because of my son's allergy, we
- 41:41just left him out on the street. Now have you guys talked about
- 41:44how Otis saw this coming? And because you used to take
- 41:47pictures when Janie Mae was first born and Otis would just
- 41:50be stink eyeing the baby in these photos, so did he.
- 41:54Maybe Otis saw this coming. He knew he was going to get
- 41:57bumped out at some point. No, Otis was still living pretty
- 41:59good until Charlie was born. It was all CC's Charlie and his
- 42:04allergens. That's the reason that's the I.
- 42:06Remember. But I feel like this is a thing
- 42:07around the house, by the way, where you go.
- 42:09Yeah, it was Charlie's fault. And as you say.
- 42:11Oh. Yeah.
- 42:11Oh, he knows. He knows.
- 42:13It is funny how a kid knows, like Charlie knows not to eat
- 42:15anything. If a kid gives him something, he
- 42:17knows not to eat it. That's crazy.
- 42:19He knows to ask first. But the no.
- 42:21I saw Otis at a Christmas party this past year and he didn't
- 42:24recognize me. Well, he did, he just didn't
- 42:29know it. But I think I really do.
- 42:31I think after a while, after a couple hours, you know what it
- 42:35was, It was the night I remember this.
- 42:37It was the night of either Ohio State.
- 42:40I think it was Ohio State, Tennessee, because it was a
- 42:43Saturday night of the College Football Playoff and Ohio State
- 42:45just boat raced them and at one point it was over before it even
- 42:48freaking started. At one point, Charlie screamed
- 42:50at a touchdown and something clicked in Otis's brain.
- 42:52Like, oh, I know that. Yeah, it.
- 42:54Wasn't that game like 30 to zip in?
- 42:56The first quarter. So I played with Otis the whole
- 42:58night and I do feel like by the end of the night, maybe this is
- 43:01just me convincing myself, but I feel like by the end of the
- 43:04night like he remembered. Apparently I don't know if I
- 43:07that would be so sad for me. I think if I I know.
- 43:10That's why I didn't. See my old doggie Oh.
- 43:12God him. So we had Otis for eight years
- 43:14and at the end we joke about it, but like.
- 43:16Dogs would remember that not. After three years, though, three
- 43:20years of not seeing. They're.
- 43:22Not goldfish. And they look so different after
- 43:25three. Years.
- 43:25I'm just selling. I'm just selling it.
- 43:26I wish when I came in the door, I wish he'd ran at me in a way
- 43:30that it was totally obvious that he remembered me, but he didn't.
- 43:33But I think at the end, I think he realized.
- 43:36I remember going to England for a year and we had to keep our
- 43:39animals, you know? I remember little Lola, Kate's
- 43:41dog. And we come back after a year
- 43:43and you see them and they age so much, man.
- 43:46You're like, oh, it's so sad. But they remembered you, right?
- 43:49Yeah. God, yeah.
- 43:50I mean, do you ever I? Love them.
- 43:52Do you ever see the the brilliant Jane Goodall?
- 43:54Oh, yeah. Back in the forest and the
- 43:56chimpanzees which surround her and they bring her cakes and and
- 44:00pies because they remember her. Oh yeah, You know what, at the
- 44:04end of at the end of his time with us though, he was my dog,
- 44:08100%. Like that dog started as my
- 44:10wife's dog because she got him before.
- 44:13I mean, I think we had just met whatever it was 11 years ago.
- 44:16We had just met basically. So that started as her dog
- 44:18before we were even engaged, live together, anything.
- 44:21But at the end, that was my dog because I, I took that dog and
- 44:24walks every day. Like he played with me more than
- 44:27anybody by far. What would you?
- 44:29I know you're busy. Two kids busy, but if you can go
- 44:33anywhere with your wife and no kids and you knew you were going
- 44:38to spend some money, where are you going?
- 44:39Where are you going, Charlie? I feel like we've done this
- 44:41before and I thought like. I said we do, we DG.
- 44:46That's where you're at. But you see those?
- 44:47You see those people far away. OK, but you said anything?
- 44:50But that you would you would want to fly 24 hours.
- 44:53Whenever you see those people living on those huts in the
- 44:56water where they have a boardwalk, an elevated deck, a
- 45:00dock. You have a caterer to.
- 45:01That always that to me just feels like you've made it if you
- 45:04get there. I think those are pretty
- 45:06expensive. Yeah, those are private.
- 45:08But you said anywhere. 7500 waters just as clear it is.
- 45:11It's an 8 hour flight instead. Not even.
- 45:13Not even. Not even close.
- 45:15I'd go to Italy. I'd like to see Italy.
- 45:17Yeah. And that's within reach.
- 45:19I just haven't. Yeah.
- 45:20Time. Let's see here get him in by the
- 45:22way 314-359-0377 zero we are live on YouTube just go to
- 45:27YouTube at loo info like and subscribe chime in all you
- 45:32didn't see that dog for three years.
- 45:33What the F? Well, it wasn't my dog anymore.
- 45:37Yeah, we literally rehomed the dog, OK?
- 45:39And I and I talked about this too, but when I first we dropped
- 45:43that dog off and I cried that day and I said, you know what?
- 45:46I said, I'm going to go visit that dog once a month.
- 45:48The dog's out in Chesterfield. I'm like once a month, I'm going
- 45:51to go just say hi, take a walk. And then not one time, not one
- 45:55time in three years, I thought about it, there's been times
- 45:58I've been out in Chesterfield. I've been out in Chesterfield
- 46:00for whatever reason for an error.
- 46:01And I'm like, I almost think about texting.
- 46:03No, I never did. I don't know if I could do that,
- 46:06but it's also it. Is kind of emotional.
- 46:09Yeah, but also, once you have kids, it changes every.
- 46:12It does, but Otis is in a great spot.
- 46:13I saw it coming. Otis is in a spot with parents
- 46:17who their kids are all older, so they're all adults.
- 46:20So Otis is their kid now again. So he gets way more attention.
- 46:23Yeah, they're. Mean to him also I think I've
- 46:27heard some stories. I don't think so, God.
- 46:31Janie may have been watching you.
- 46:32You've got to delete that one. That's the one.
- 46:35Janie May. I've been watching you.
- 46:36Yeah, that's the one that's got to go.
- 46:38That's got to go. I don't mind.
- 46:40That was because she was doing karate.
- 46:42Yeah. And then Charlie post something.
- 46:44I don't mind. She quit.
- 46:46She quit Master. Came over here.
- 46:48Assuming makes an ass out of you and me, but my son does
- 46:52Taekwondo. If you if you consider like, you
- 46:55know, the time of TMA and here, it's all the same.
- 46:59Oh, yeah. Cam just asked you if you could
- 47:01go anywhere in the world, where would it go?
- 47:02We've had that discussion over the years.
- 47:05It's better than talking about YouTube.
- 47:07Hold on, hold on. Don't get defensive.
- 47:09It's not about you. It's not, It's not the don't get
- 47:12defensive with TMA. We've discussed like it's the
- 47:16same show, just spit out in different versions over the
- 47:19years. Of course.
- 47:20And it's not we talk. Soccer.
- 47:22No. We talk soccer.
- 47:22It's not a shot at Cam we talk. Soccer now.
- 47:25But that's what I meant about Rock You.
- 47:26It's all the same. It's all slop and I say that
- 47:30with love. I'm part of the slop.
- 47:31It's slop and it's all the same. It's a couple people come and
- 47:34go. You move a building, you go from
- 47:38radio to digital, you switch a call letter, you go back,
- 47:41somebody leaves, they come back so they're.
- 47:44Fired. You can get a camera now on
- 47:45YouTube. That's what it is.
- 47:47It's I've been here 18 years now.
- 47:48It's all the same. It's all.
- 47:50Beautiful bike here. I did not today.
- 47:54I need to get back on the bike. You been working out?
- 47:57I've been trying to, it's an excuse.
- 48:01I've been busy, but I got to get back.
- 48:02I have been working out. I mean, I have a membership over
- 48:05there. Shout out free shout out to
- 48:07Empire Fitness Academy right there on Manchester and
- 48:12Sappington right by the Taco Bell, do you?
- 48:13Film yourself when you go in there.
- 48:15I never do that. Do people do that still?
- 48:17I haven't been to a public gym in years man.
- 48:19That's kind of a personal training gym and it's also it's
- 48:22a big golf gym. They have a golf set up so
- 48:25people go there to be trained for golf.
- 48:27Can I, can I read this? Because I haven't read one of
- 48:29these in a while, but this one is funny to me though it's
- 48:32cruel. Charlie cried because he
- 48:35wouldn't be the one to put it down.
- 48:38Jesus, I wonder what will happen come.
- 48:43On That's funny. God, come on, that's funny.
- 48:45I wonder what will happen when. Oh, there you go.
- 48:47I was trying to flexure the camera.
- 48:48We're on about a 10 second delay over here.
- 48:51Yeah, that'll be a moment when I think he's 11 or 12 years old.
- 48:54So how long does a God. What kind of dog is he?
- 48:58I forgot Charlie. What kind of dog?
- 49:01The little. I literally have eight years.
- 49:04I literally forgot what kind of dog it was.
- 49:09It's. Not a goldendoodle.
- 49:11How many pounds? It's like 30.
- 49:16Oh, OK, what is it? It's a cockapoo.
- 49:18Cockapoo. I'm going to say 14 in that
- 49:2112/14 12:15 maybe. It's 2020 to 30.
- 49:25There's some. Bigger dogs that are
- 49:26hypoallergenic. I think it was 1/3.
- 49:27Have to go with a tiny. Dog.
- 49:28The bigger dogs have a shorter lifespan.
- 49:30I don't know why that is, but that's.
- 49:32Still like a? Still like 14-16 years.
- 49:34Bigger dogs 16 in general, no. When 16 years you're you're. 16
- 49:39for a big dog. I just tear a poodle who went 16
- 49:42years. Those are big dogs.
- 49:44It's either it's either they die at 10 or they last till 15 like
- 49:48Great Danes. Like 6-7 years.
- 49:51My brother has a Great Dane. Irish Wolfhounds 4 to.
- 49:54Six. Yeah.
- 49:55No, no, no, we. Looked at that too talking like
- 49:57like Portuguese water dogs are hyper allergenic.
- 49:59They're a bigger dogs like that's going to be 1416 years
- 50:02that's. What my wife wants to get now.
- 50:04That's what that's what my wife wants is a Portuguese Water dog.
- 50:06A Portuguese Water dog. Are they crazy?
- 50:08Because that's what the Obamas had.
- 50:11Is that reason at all? But.
- 50:13OK. For Hypo Allegheny.
- 50:15Dogs, how do you how? Do you know that?
- 50:18I follow politics. Tucker must have mentioned it at
- 50:21some. Point.
- 50:22I'm sure he did. You follow me pointless things
- 50:23through as a scathing. What dog does they do they have
- 50:26following? Tucker, Charlie A.
- 50:27Scathing editorial are you fathering?
- 50:29Following Tucker now so I. Actually, did I watched Tucker.
- 50:35Who did he talk to? The guy who's martyr maid, the
- 50:40murder maid podcast, the historian he he did a bunch of
- 50:46podcasts on Epstein. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 50:48You know the guy, what's his name?
- 50:49The the podcast is called Martyr Maid and he does a podcast with
- 50:52Jocko Willing. He's the historian that
- 50:55everybody rips on because he said something that he said
- 50:59Winston Churchill was an enemy in World War 2.
- 51:02That guy I know exactly, I forgot his name.
- 51:03But anyway, the Epstein 1 I did watch and it was super
- 51:07interesting. Really interesting.
- 51:09If you guys haven't watched that, you need to, and you
- 51:12realize that literally every important politician in the
- 51:17world was essentially one to two degrees away from Epstein for
- 51:22the last 40 years. JMTX, says Darrell.
- 51:24Cooper, Darrell Cooper, Darrell Cooper.
- 51:25And I know he's kind of a guy that says crazy stuff, but this
- 51:29particular podcast was all about Epstein and Maxwell's dad, how
- 51:35Maxwell's dad was essentially kind of running the world for
- 51:402034. Years weird.
- 51:42I mean, when you talk about what those people were connected to,
- 51:46like we're talking going back to the Iran Contra, like running
- 51:50arms, we're talking about Maxwell's father, it's crazy.
- 51:53Like I, I recommend everybody listen to that.
- 51:56Super interesting. Yeah, that whole thing was a
- 51:58fumble for sure. I think Tucker kind of went off
- 52:01the deep end a little bit. By the way, I don't watch this
- 52:03stuff because it's podcast like if it's if it's not like.
- 52:07He's just digging and digging on.
- 52:09Television. I don't I I just don't see it.
- 52:12I do like I have seen because my my YouTube is pretty much NASCAR
- 52:17and music, so my algorithm's not really politics, but XI feel
- 52:21like you can't get away from it, especially if you every time you
- 52:24go back, it puts you on for you no matter what.
- 52:27I don't know how to change that, but I do see this.
- 52:30It seems like there's a nice little kind of war inside the
- 52:33right, and a lot of it has to do with Israel, but it's just kind
- 52:35of fun. It's kind of fun to see
- 52:37everybody fighting amongst. Those that's that's the beauty
- 52:39of it when the left is fighting with each other and the right is
- 52:43fighting because no one knows where they're supposed to be on
- 52:45a certain issue that's good because it takes party and
- 52:49ideology allegiance and throws it out the window.
- 52:52I like. Everybody's.
- 52:53I mean, they don't know what to do, you know what I mean?
- 52:56But they're all grifters, which is why in the end, I feel like
- 53:01that's the thing with with the Eric thing.
- 53:03If we could eventually, and I told Eric this, I go, dude, I
- 53:05know you don't want to hear this, but like I will do the
- 53:07podcast again with you in 2028. I know it's three years from now
- 53:11because I will be into it in 2028 again, but I just don't
- 53:13feel like being into it now. But but you'll get more clicks
- 53:16now. That's the thing.
- 53:18If you could build it into making money off of it, then I
- 53:22would go all in. Yeah, but that's also then you
- 53:25got to pay attention to all this stuff.
- 53:26But it's loud. Now I feel like, you know, it's
- 53:29so easy to make fun of. That's the thing.
- 53:31You can make fun of all the stupidity without really diving
- 53:35head first in because there's just so much.
- 53:37There's so much content. That's all.
- 53:39What Twitter is now is a gotcha piece of video and you know, and
- 53:43someone mocking it, you could see they build up followers that
- 53:47way. Yeah, just a couple more minutes
- 53:48here with Charlie Marlow, Big Ryan, the twos and threes coming
- 53:52in here for the line change. Line change of Matt Rocchio.
- 53:55This is a LOO information station live and on the man at
- 53:58looinfo.com. It's a LOO information station.
- 54:02That's what it is, Charlie. It's not 59 anymore.
- 54:04So I can't even say that. Though I don't know.
- 54:06You can say whatever you want, whatever it's our.
- 54:08Show. Yeah, it's a YouTube show.
- 54:10To me though, and again I said that with love, just this
- 54:13building, you know, whatever's out there, I know you have
- 54:15different signage and all that, but it does feel like home.
- 54:18Somebody did chime in. Rooster goes this.
- 54:20This show missing the 2024 election was a crime.
- 54:23There was that would have been. That's a good point it.
- 54:26Is there was a lot of things that went went on the last year
- 54:30like a ton, man. It's like every day there's
- 54:32something crazy going on, I feel like.
- 54:34How about so you guys were on for the whole Coldplay deal,
- 54:37right? Oh yeah, yeah.
- 54:39Stuff like that makes me laugh. I was out, I was in California
- 54:42for my son's allergy when it happened.
- 54:43And I just, I think I was on the plane or whatever and it was
- 54:46just one of those things where somebody put out a tweet and
- 54:48it's just so true. And it's something like I'm
- 54:50paraphrasing, but every day on Twitter there's a main
- 54:54character, and the goal is for it never to be you.
- 54:57I've said that on I've said that on this here.
- 54:59Whatever it is. But like, for four days, those
- 55:02two people were probably the most recognizable people.
- 55:05On Earth, I know. For four days nobody had ever
- 55:08heard of them. And overnight, obviously, their
- 55:11lives and divorces and whatever happens.
- 55:13But I mean, nobody had ever heard of those people.
- 55:15And they were the most famous people on the Internet for four.
- 55:18And they didn't have to be and. Some of the most hilarious memes
- 55:21I've ever seen ever. That's what I love, no doubt,
- 55:24Like some of these people are geniuses and they they do, you
- 55:28know, the SEC holding good losses, stuff like that, like
- 55:33the. Green dildo the.
- 55:35Green dildo it's. Just.
- 55:38It's so good. Some of these people like a
- 55:40story will happen and one hour later somebody's got an amazing,
- 55:44amazing video that is unbelievable.
- 55:47And I'm like, how have you created this in less than an
- 55:50hour? Chat GBTI?
- 55:52Guess no, some people are good because ChatGPT isn't great.
- 55:56It's not that great. Someone someone was saying that
- 55:58that the sitcoms are dying and I was like, I think it's because
- 56:02people can just look at their phone and find something funny
- 56:06on YouTube. You can find any shit come on
- 56:08here for 1/2 hour or whatever. You could have full full
- 56:11episodes on YouTube. That's like, that's the beauty
- 56:13of social medias. You can find the most hilarious
- 56:16things you'll ever see on there. You'll also find a lot of vile
- 56:19people and and awful things and stupid political hot takes, but
- 56:24there's an awful lot of creativity and and funniness on
- 56:27there. For sure.
- 56:28Those guys, man, they, all they had to do is play it cool.
- 56:31No one would care. How about that Lady that saw
- 56:35that, that thought she saw like an alien on the plane she was
- 56:38famous for Like, yeah, we talked.
- 56:40That was, that was like, yeah. And she blew up.
- 56:42She's still around. She can go do only fans and she
- 56:45can make $20 million a month doing only fans.
- 56:48Yeah, you know what I mean? It's crazy.
- 56:50A month, a month. All right, Charlie, man, we
- 56:54appreciate you coming in, dude. Don't be a stranger, Ryan.
- 56:57We miss you. We miss you a lot, man.
- 56:59We'll get together and do some things.
- 57:00But Ryan, you did a really good job coming in here for the last
- 57:03two minutes. Good job, buddy.
- 57:05All right, guys, we'll see everybody tomorrow.
- 57:07Enjoy the beautiful day. This is hot.
- 57:09Take Central 2 point O wave to the crowd.
- 57:11See you guys.
