- 0:04Hello and welcome back to the episode of Answer Laurence here.
- 0:06How are you all doing if you're doing great?
- 0:07For today's episode, Nigerian football fans, Nigerian Football
- 0:14Federation, they have filed A complaint against their Congo.
- 0:22They have reported their Congo to FIFA.
- 0:26According to them, DR Congo filed a fraudulent or submitted
- 0:30fraudulent documents for nine of their players to qualify them
- 0:35for the World Cup. According to our legal minds,
- 0:40they said they read the the DR Congo constitution and he says
- 0:45they don't allow the world citizenship.
- 0:48Now, according to them, nine of the players that played against
- 0:52Nigeria that may not qualify for the World Cup have dual
- 0:56citizenship. They said that because of this,
- 1:01FIFA should look into should disqualify their Congo and if
- 1:05FIFA disqualifies their Congo, we are back in the game.
- 1:11Is this not strategic? Like don't do your work just,
- 1:15you know, use AI, use charge GBT and when they call you, when
- 1:21they catch you, you say what what do you mean and how can I
- 1:24use charge GBT? This is that Nigerians and I'm
- 1:28just going to play somebody that explained it passionately.
- 1:33They explained passionately what they meant and how they are
- 1:37Congo. Broke the law, Let.
- 1:39Me play it. These are the claims Nigerian
- 1:43are putting forward to FIFA #1DR Congo DC FIFA of clearing
- 1:50ineligible player to participate in the World Cup playoff in
- 1:55Africa #2DL Congo submitted fraudulent citizenship details
- 2:02to get some of those players cleared to participate in the
- 2:07World Cup playoff in Africa. Now you ask yourself, for you to
- 2:11be able to compete for DL Congo, you, you, you must denounce your
- 2:15citizenship during that process where those players were
- 2:20approved and cleared to compete for their Congo.
- 2:23Those players did not deny their citizenship prior to being
- 2:27cleared to compete for their Congo.
- 2:29That's number one. Number two, which citizenship
- 2:33information that was used to get those players cleared for their
- 2:37Congo to compete at the World Cup playoff?
- 2:40Is it the deal Congo passport? If it's the deal Congo passport
- 2:43that means prior to that that player have to denounce his
- 2:47citizenship because in the Al Congo constitution you cannot
- 2:50have blouse citizenship. So if and NDR Congo uses the
- 2:56player forum and passports to submit to FIFA, that means he's
- 3:01not qualified to compete for their Congo.
- 3:04So they based on the argument is their Congo Football Federation
- 3:09committed fraud to FIFA because FIFA doesn't police countries
- 3:15constitution. Bodia Congo submitted fraudulent
- 3:19citizenship details to FIFA to get their players cleared to
- 3:24compete for the World Cup playoff.
- 3:26And is the concern Nigerians are raising because you cannot
- 3:29deceive yourself to the World Cup.
- 3:31We are not dumb now we are not dumb.
- 3:34It's clear as a deal Congo citizen, you cannot have dual
- 3:38citizenship. That's the constitution.
- 3:41So for those that are saying that we are making stuff up,
- 3:44keep deceiving yourself. The law is the law and you
- 3:47learn. You will not teach away to the
- 3:49World Cup. It's not going to happen.
- 3:52Now this is this is so funny because some people think that
- 3:57Nigeria is a lawless country but we produce lawyers and we we
- 4:02produce lawyers yearly. People are forgetting that we we
- 4:07are a nation of over 300 million and there are so many people
- 4:11unaccounted for and hundreds of thousands of those people
- 4:16graduate yearly as lawyers. So Nigerians are flexing their
- 4:22law, their law knowledge and they are extending it to Congo
- 4:27there. Anyway, I'm just going to play
- 4:30some reactions from TikTok and also reaction from Congo
- 4:35commentators who said that Nigerians are just a crybaby
- 4:40that we lost. Instead of us to focus on AF
- 4:42com, we are focusing on the wrong things.
- 4:45Watch this. So after all that, Nigeria might
- 4:48be going to the World Cup after all.
- 4:49Nigeria got knocked out of World Cup qualifying over a month ago.
- 4:52The Nigerian fans have had the piss taken out of them, mainly
- 4:55from the Ghanaians for over a month and now we're getting told
- 4:58that they could be allowed back in.
- 5:00And that's because the DR Congo are under investigation by FIFA
- 5:03for apparently having nine players who switched
- 5:05nationalities to compete for DR Congo without completing the
- 5:08legal and administrative pros, and so couldn't actually play
- 5:12for the DR Congo. But none of them have played.
- 5:14And FIFA are genuinely considering booting out DR Congo
- 5:17and replacing them with the team that they beat in the final of
- 5:21the African playoff, that team being Nigeria.
- 5:24Which means Nigeria will take Dr Congo's place in the
- 5:26interconfederation playoffs, which means they'll just need to
- 5:29beat the winner of Jamaica versus New Caledonia to go to
- 5:32the World Cup. And if they actually do make it,
- 5:34Nigeria's World Cup qualification will genuinely
- 5:36have me thinking they're going to win the whole thing because
- 5:38let's not forget they couldn't. I'm not in the groups as the 4th
- 5:41best second place team because the rules were decided halfway
- 5:44through. But Even so, they needed to win
- 5:46their last game four nil, which they did in the last minute of
- 5:49the game. So with all that clinging on,
- 5:51when the DR Congo finally ended Nigeria's World Cup dream, I
- 5:54thought it was finally over. But now I'm being told it might
- 5:57not be over. These lot made jokes for
- 5:59nothing. If he's going to the World Cup,
- 6:02I'm picking them to win the whole thing, man, because.
- 6:04How Nigeria is going to the World Cup because the Congolese
- 6:07team got caught doing a hanky panky, falsifying documents for
- 6:12one of their players. And FIFA is currently
- 6:14investigating. And if they are found guilty,
- 6:17they will be disqualified. And guess who's going to take
- 6:20their place? Nigeria.
- 6:22The funny thing is, this hanky panky we're talking about, this
- 6:25is something Nigeria is usually very guilty of.
- 6:27We all know of our football players who are, you know, 1718
- 6:30going on 44, Congo. You should have done better,
- 6:34man. You should have done better.
- 6:35You guys should know better than this, OK?
- 6:38At such a crucial time, you should have done your due
- 6:40diligence to make sure everybody is good to go.
- 6:44But you did it. And if you guys are found to be
- 6:46guilty of falsifying documents for your players, this guy
- 6:49they're talking about, apparently he's older than
- 6:51they're saying he is, or I don't know, Whatever it is.
- 6:53Well, we don't care. We don't care.
- 6:55We hope they get disqualified so that we can take their place and
- 7:00then go ahead. To win.
- 7:01The World Cup, so Nigerian fans, there is definitely still hope
- 7:05for all of us, most definitely. What?
- 7:12Nigeria has reported Congo to FIFA and FIFA is investigating
- 7:16you guys, Can you please talk about this?
- 7:19What? Listen, Nigerians, I have to
- 7:25give it to you guys. I have to give it to you guys.
- 7:29You guys are good. You guys are very, very good.
- 7:33I've received a lot of messages about this and I didn't want to
- 7:35talk about it because quite frankly, if I'm really honest,
- 7:39it's a waste of my time. But you know what?
- 7:42I've got a few minutes. Do you have a few minutes?
- 7:44Cool. Sit down, grab a drink, grab a
- 7:46snack. Let's talk.
- 7:48Now listen, there's a lot of reports out there saying it's
- 7:50nine players, some saying it's six players, some saying it's 4,
- 7:54which pretty much proves that they don't know what they're
- 7:57talking about. And that is false, It's fake.
- 8:00But for the sake of this video, let's just take this one here,
- 8:02which says that DR Congo faces trouble for allegedly fielding 9
- 8:08ineligible players. Not one.
- 8:10Not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, not 8-9 players.
- 8:17Let's go through the list, shall we?
- 8:18The first false allegation is that 9 DR Congo players switched
- 8:22allegiances from a European nation to DR Congo.
- 8:25Is false because as you can see, and this by the way, is public
- 8:29knowledge, you can go on fifa.com, it's right there.
- 8:33The information is available for anybody.
- 8:35As you can see, four players switched their allegiances to DR
- 8:39Congo this year, 2025. Just to be clear.
- 8:42Mario Strokens, who plays for Anderlecht.
- 8:44Macho Ippolo who plays for Standard Mika Lounge, Balikrisha
- 8:48who plays for Celtic, Glasgow and of course Wambisaka
- 8:51household name in the Premier League, West Ham.
- 8:54Now on that same document, if you scoot over to the right a
- 8:58tiny little bit, you will see the former member association.
- 9:01So the former associations these players have been a part of
- 9:06Royal Belgian for the three Belgians, the ex Belgians and
- 9:09the FA for the former English boy.
- 9:11Now let's have a look at the dates. 13th of November for
- 9:17Mario Stroikens, 12th of November for Machu Apollo, 11th
- 9:22of November for Ballyquisha and 22nd of August 2025 for
- 9:29Wambesaca. When did Congo play against
- 9:33Nigeria? Hold on a minute.
- 9:36Oh, interesting. 16th of November.
- 9:40So all of these players have switched allegiances before the
- 9:43Nigerian game? Seems pretty legit to me.
- 9:48By the way, what the NFF has allegedly put through to FIFA is
- 9:52a petition. It's not an official legal
- 9:57complaint because you'd have to go to lawyers for that.
- 10:00You'd have to go to court for that.
- 10:02There's not been a request to hear FIFA side.
- 10:05There's not been a request to hear DRC side.
- 10:09I mean, why would you? It's a petition.
- 10:11But anyway, just putting it out there.
- 10:13It's a petition. So the second claim that was
- 10:15made in that petition is the fact that Congo prohibits dual
- 10:20citizenship. Let's dive into that, shall we?
- 10:23Because yes, the Congolese law does in fact prohibit dual
- 10:28citizenship. It's in the law.
- 10:31Should have done your research though people.
- 10:32Because this is a sporting nationality matter.
- 10:35This is not a legal nationality matter.
- 10:38Yes, there's a difference between a legal nationality and
- 10:42a sporting nationality. As a result, players regularly
- 10:45hold EU passports. They can represent DRC without
- 10:49renouncing their other nationality.
- 10:52The Congolese FA fickle fur works with FIFA rules, not
- 10:56nationality law enforcement. By the way, this is ChatGPT
- 11:00again, public knowledge. You can look it up and it will
- 11:03tell you the same whether it's Google or ChatGPT.
- 11:06Anyway, so FIFA does not care if a player has dual citizenship
- 11:11unless the player has already played a competitive senior
- 11:15match for another country. So to recap everything and I'm
- 11:19going to make my face disappear so I can read this at the bottom
- 11:21because I can't see it. A player can be legally
- 11:25problematic under DRC law but fully eligible under FIFA
- 11:30regulations. This legal contradiction is
- 11:33simply ignored in sport, right? My Nigerian friends, I love you
- 11:40guys. No, honestly, I I love you guys
- 11:44got a lot of friends from Nigeria, love them all, but stop
- 11:49spreading false information man. It's you're only going to hurt
- 11:53yourself. You know, Afcon's around the
- 11:56corner. It's literally starting this
- 11:57Sunday. You've got a great team, you've
- 12:00got great players. Focus on that man, because it's
- 12:04a bit, it's a bit too much. Do you know what I mean?
- 12:09First the voodoo and now this. It's not a good look, man, it's
- 12:14not a good look. But anyway, just wanted to put
- 12:16it out there. God bless you all and let AFCON
- 12:20begin. Let me tell you guys something
- 12:22crazy about Nigeria. Nigeria is a very lawless
- 12:25country, but Nigerians and Nigeria, they know the law.
- 12:30Those. They know the law.
- 12:34So right now the the FIFA World Cup happened in the United
- 12:37States, Nigeria during the qualifiers, Nigeria played South
- 12:40Africa and I think South Africa figured an ineligible player.
- 12:45Nigeria in your father lawsuits won and three points were
- 12:50deducted from South Africa and Nigeria went off to play like
- 12:53some sort of playoff game against DR Congo.
- 12:58Nigeria lost, but then Nigeria looked into the law again and
- 13:02realised that in DR Congo you can't have dual citizenship and
- 13:06six of the players that played on that team, they have dual
- 13:09citizenship. Nigeria right now has filed A
- 13:11lawsuit. The FIFA has a high chance that
- 13:15Nigeria is going to win and Nigeria is going to be back in
- 13:17the race to the World Cup. Like it's, it's so crazy how
- 13:21much we spend our ability to be lawless and just, you know, to,
- 13:27to, to be lawless, you have to be able to cut corners and how
- 13:31they are, you know, manipulating the loopholes and looking into
- 13:35every single person seem they lost and trying to do the
- 13:40analysis on okay, how can we cut corners?
- 13:42How can we figure this out? So essentially, Nigeria is back
- 13:46in the race to the World Cups. Nigeria probably played Jamaica
- 13:49or some other country. But the point is, all through
- 13:52this World Cup qualifiers, Nigeria has been using the law
- 13:55to get ahead. It's crazy.
- 14:08Now, what do you think? Do you think that Nigerians are
- 14:09just crying over spilled milk? What do you actually believe?
- 14:14That we deserve a place? Yes, we lost.
- 14:18Yes, we didn't play well. But according to one of those
- 14:22commentators, Nigeria is the giant of Africa.
- 14:26There's no World Cup, there's no African representation if
- 14:31Nigeria is not there. I mean, what is Congo going to
- 14:34go and do in the world alike? Seriously.
- 14:36And Congo should have just sacrificed.
- 14:38They should, they should give us the giants of Africa.
- 14:42What do you think? Do you think that we should just
- 14:44rest? We should rest and allow people
- 14:47who actually worked hard to earn their place in the World Cup to
- 14:50go for it? Or do you think that we we need
- 14:53to flex our law knowledge and get the place?
- 14:58Let me know what you think. Thank you very much for watching
- 14:59today's episode. Please like, like, like and
- 15:01share. Thank you very much for
- 15:02watching. Bye bye.
