- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome live to the big play Cleveland shows is Jack O'Rourke alongside Chef Zay and Ryan Tyler There is no place to start, but the ESPN NFL power rankings guys footballs here.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_03]: We had week zero last weekend We're all excited college is going this week in the Browns no more preseason games next time We will see your Cleveland Browns on the field it is for real week one Does anyone have a guess where the Cleveland Browns were put in ESPN's initial power rankings for the season?
- 0:28[SPEAKER_03]: Chef say
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: That last.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, not day.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: Why are you being a pessimist?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's not your job.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's the kind of down today, Jack.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's where they got us said.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: Where we talking about.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, Ryan.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I saw where they were at.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I know the ranking, but yeah, Chef Zays a little down today and I'm not sure why.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, is that?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're good, we're
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: So everybody's one of, only the words are the words, but Talon says otherwise in me.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gonna let him sleep realistically, I think to start at least late 20s.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: Mid to late 20s.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan, where's your hijab?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: Because when I saw this initially, there are two teams who at a bare minimum, I feel like the Browns are better than where are you at?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: Let me start with saying this.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: I understand the ranking right like I understand why the Browns we knew when you look at the buckets of teams at the Browns We're going to be towards the back end.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: Laura right like the highest I would have ever seen them being in a power ranking nationally here in ASPN was like 25 right I was gonna say 20.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so what's around the same thing above that I would have been like whoa like what's going on here So I understand but I agree with with with with you Jack and I've just said I don't know quite worth days at but
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: 30 first is way too low like when I look at these other teams the Cardinals.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Why would the Cardinals be above the Cleveland Brown?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, the Finns 32.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_03]: Let me ask them.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the dolphins are 32.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Completely understand that.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're the worst team in the NFL.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: They have a quarterback question.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: They have a new coach.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: Jets are 29th.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: So they're above the Cleveland Brown, which again, that's another team that I disagree with.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're talking about teams that are dealing with quarterback questions with those three new coaches.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think the gloom bronzer better defense than the Arizona Cardinals and the Jets and though they're both ascending units.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not quite sure why the Jets and Cardinals are above the Cleveland Browns and even like you said, say the Tennessee Titans are 28.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you probably have a more firm answer in Camembert, I don't want to say it's a solid answer because we don't know what that's going to be like.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: his arm ends up being linguiney that scene is in trouble you have a coaching question first year with Robert Sala again the defense nothing to write home about playmakers on offense outside a car and I'll take what do you really have there you got a couple building blocks and like Jeffrey Simmons but again I'd put the browns above them and then the Raiders oh it's a fist for nanomendoses it is going to be what people doing for nanomendoses I started
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's Kirk O'Chains for a little bit, but say you made a great point earlier.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe maybe people are sleeping on the Cleveland Browns a little bit.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: If there is one reason you single out, say in Ryan why people are sleeping on the Cleveland Browns, or what is the factor people are overlooking, which is why this team will finish above 31st in the NFL.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: What is it?
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: are playmakers, something that we haven't had and, well, something that we didn't utilize properly the past few years, I'll say that.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, even when Nick Chow is here, how many, how many Sundays was everyone on Twitter just tweeting around the damn ball?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, they, um, and Nick Chub.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Dan, you look good in some golf gear.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't gonna throw a G like, I mean, you might got a thing or two in his golf world.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to Nick Chub.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_03]: Say, real quick, how sick was that when the, the reporter was like, oh, let me be the first time a Cleveland Brown's ever been in the Amazon.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: He just goes, I was there 50 times.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, he's like it.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that was, that was something that you really wouldn't have saw from,
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: If Nick Chelle was still wearing a uniform, I don't think he goes there.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're going to start seeing Batman Returns Batman, where he knows his role now, he's going to be a little flexious, flexious muscles up, and beat a Batman that we all love.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I think as long as Denzo Boston, K.C.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: and Harold, and I mean, we've got a lot of weapons.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's Todd Mucking can find a way to get the ball in their hands.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be just fine.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: 31.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: I keep the receipts get them ready because I'll be back around when we when we finish and let's just say top Say I cannot wait for your victory life in case he can substitute has $1,400 per year That is gonna be one of the funniest things of all the time Ryan what is the reason people are sitting on the Cleveland Browns?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: Why are they gonna be better than 30 first in the NFL?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, let me see this.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: I can't tell you for fact.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna be better than the 31st team I think they will be but again You're looking at two things that can absolutely Fort a season and thwart them very quickly.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's bad quarterback play.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know what you're gonna get with Sean Watts and shorter Sanders It will if you're asking the national media if they had to take a bet they're gonna guess it goes sour So that's why they're sitting at 31st and then also a brand new coach and Todd Munkin who has proven offensive success pretty much every stop he's been
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: But again, what was the storyline coming into it?
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: At least 60 plus he's never coached a head full.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's never been a head coach of a national football team.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: And while it's true and why I'm optimistic, again.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: Can he call plays while maintaining everything a head coach has to do throughout the 60 minutes of a game or the 48 minutes of a game?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right, like, there were points where Kevin Stephansky was getting questioned.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Can he do that?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I had to give a play calling duties while there was because of the back quarterback play.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: People were questioning some of his timeout usage is, right?
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's to be seen, so that's why horrible quarterback play paired with a brand new head coach who we don't know can be an NFL head coach.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's the reason that the Cleveland Browns are sitting at number 31.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: Let me ask you guys that.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: There's only athletic a couple weeks ago put out there NFL quarterback rankings players exact and the like voting on it, I believe to Sean Watson finished 31st.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say and should our Sanders was 35th, which was the dead last quarterback, they did decide to rank because he was still in the QE battle at the time, do you guys think the third the ranking of 31st is solely predicated on how bad this quarterback room is expected to be by people around the league?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think it's just straight up that bad.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like are you asking, are we kind of putting to Sean Watson at 32 just because he's on the Browns?
- 6:41[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, I'm saying, do you think the Browns?
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay, because they're both ranked 31st.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, so I should have specified.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think the Browns are ranked 31st because of these two?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like, is it just solely off the quarterbacks?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's stupid.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think that's stupid because we have talent.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Finally like I always I keep saying fine.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think that the talent around these guys now can elevate those quarterbacks?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even just a talent.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think the coaching can elevate like we did everything that that's why I get so frustrated with these conversations because we've sat here and Bitched all season last year about how we want an offensive minded coach.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: We want to get better weapons We want to get better offensive line play and obviously the offensive line play is still a huge question mark, but you you
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: extraf every other box that you bitched about last year and yet somehow we're still just going to be pissport 31 like that just doesn't make any sense to me so I'm not buying it I think Todd Munkin has already shown flashes of what's to come and um I think we're gonna get a glimpse of that week one in Jacksonville on the road
- 7:40[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan, I wanted to ask you about this because you heard Gary Gilbert yesterday talk about here on Big Play Cleveland Live form of rounds quarterback that when he was in the building, one quote, your members Andrew Barry saying all the time is we want to be a quarterback away.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like we want to have the foundation of the team built up for whenever that quarterback does come in the building.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: We're ready to go.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: He was so Gary was with the Browns in 2019.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: And then he had two stints of the Browns.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: So that was before A-Bear was that was what he was going into 2020.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's about it.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: He was here in A-Bear was general manager.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: No, because now A-Bear's first year was 16.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: So he also came back.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_03]: Gary was here twice.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: So he was here in 2019 and then he was here like 2021 in preseason.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_03]: And then I don't think he made it through the preseason.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_03]: So he was back with A-Bear, but the year he was like on the roster.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: Most of the year was the year before the six and ten Freddie year.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, the one saying goes, I think that kind of does speak to it, what you're saying is they like, we did go out in the office, and then check off all these other boxes, you know?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's, it's, it's.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: They said it's not fair, it's fair because it's a power ranking for this season, right?
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like if we were operating under ranking their futures, I agree, I think the Browns have a brighter future than the Jets.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what they do with those draft picks.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: That honestly, that would kind of determine that.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think they have a better future right now than they are as their own cardinals do.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I think they have a better future than the Miami Dolphins do, right?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it's just this season, yeah, what's up?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, like, I get that.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: But you're telling me the Browns are going to come on here in average 15 points again.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Again, that's what you're telling me, essentially.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's not a guarantee.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll be better than they were offensively last year.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: But again, that's a big, a big, a, a, a big asterisk on who's playing quarterback, right?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you totally play quarterback on this team, when we score more to 15 points, we're game.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so, right?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I get it, but just saying, but, like, the Sean Watson statistically is that bad where they don't score points when it's playing field.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's won games with us.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there'll be better, well, maybe not record wise, no matter because five games like it's not easy to even go in five games in national football league, especially we've won five games last year, no.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, so I'm not saying when you're a team, the record's going to be better, but I think they'll be in a better place next year than they were at the end of the season last year.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: Certainly.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: So say, I think it doesn't make sense then.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_03]: Here's what I think it is.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: I want your opinion on this thing because I would love to hear put it like this even field who would be favored in a matchup.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: The Cleveland Browns or the Cardinals.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: Browns, right?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: I put the Browns up.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the Browns are better than every team they have up on here.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: But here's what I think it is.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard a lot of people both in Cleveland and nationally talking about a fear of aggression for the Browns defense this year.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: not saying I agree.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you fall on that?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like, because obviously you have Roonberg coming in, you lose Miles Garrett, who's probably the best defensive player in franchise history.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_03]: What brings you to confidence in this year's defense to pick up without losing any slack with a new DC and losing Miles Garrett?
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: because they've already shown us flashes of what could be and I think that you've had former players come through this organization and basically try to get their way out because of how a defense was made.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that it didn't work.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of players that bought into the Miles Garrett rightfully so he's a generational player.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Another thing that we bitched in Mone and complained about was the lack of leadership that we experienced from this team on all sides of the ball including the coaching.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: And you now implement a guy on the defensive side of the ball who you've already seen paid dividends in terms of how valuable his leadership is with your ninth overall pick and Spencer Fano.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I'm not going to be is there going to be a regression?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Duh, you lose 23 and a half cents.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: You lose a mile's Garrett.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously you're going to look at that and be like, yeah, you're going to take a step back.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: But we're not going to go from top 10 to 31 just because you lost miles Garrett when everyone around when there's an entire.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the teeth.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to 31.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: They're saying the teams are 31.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: Even that's what I'm saying even better.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: So like the defenses are going to fall off that far and you did everything this offseason to fix the problem Which was the offense last year that's not equaling 31st to me like if anything if you if you do the Typical what is it the median the range?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you take the scores and you average it out that still doesn't come to 31
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: So let me ask you guys this.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say we're sitting here and somehow we're lucky enough that it's Tuesday and it's a Christmas and we're all like, you know what we're all going to come in and do a show because the Browns are awesome and it's Christmas, right?
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: What is where the Browns ranked in the power rankings?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: But it's actually Christmas.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: And it's actually Christmas.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: And it's actually Christmas this morning.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_03]: So on December 25th, 2021, 26th.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: We can factor in it.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's not week one anymore.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: Where are the Cleveland Browns that in the NFL power rankings on December 25th this year?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Probably 20s like mid 20s.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think mid 20s is fair.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think 31 is ridiculous.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: They're better than every team on that list.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: They're better than it off as they're better than it is.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's not even a question.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: I agree, right?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like I like I said, I think 31's too low, but then it comes a question of, well, who are we putting the Browns above?
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: I agree, above the dolphins.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think above Cardinals, I would say above.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: Can we do a little speak when we get to the scene that's better than the Browns?
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: No, I can't do that with me because I'll go all the way too far.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: But here's my point, right?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: But then you get to these teams.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: You get to 28, the Titans, the Raiders, better than with the Falcons than with the Saints.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's where I start to group in the Browns.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's the entire shockspad that's what I put the brown to 24, but then I'm like, well, yeah, then I could also put him at 28.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: So like, I think they're too low, but I don't, they're clearly telling us what they think of the quarterback situation.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's fine.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: Let them sleep.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, which position group on the Browns is the most underrated entering the season?
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: our quarterback room.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I love it.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: Explained it to me.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: Explained it to me.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the, I, I don't, it may be crazy.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think that in their mind, which is why they're being so delicate with this situation this year.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: This is a different type of delicacy that they had with the DTR, with the Tyler Huntley.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they think they could potentially have their guy in the quarterback room.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Whether that's Shador, whether that's Dylan or whether that's tail and green.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think tail and green did enough to be like, okay, we at least got to see if there's something there because they do want to go into this next season and draft a quarterback.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I looked at it like if this house, if they play the house money this year and they start winning games, they are going to be that quarterback away.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to I feel like they want to start trusting their developmental process like one thing that Kevin always Hard like oh we take pride in developing our guys where I don't I has Kevin's the fancy developed one guy that I can they like off the top of our mind Can we think of one guy that he's a Harrison Brian maybe one you love Kind of better than that.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I can't think of one player that Kevin's a fan ski genuinely developed.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: Where is Todd?
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: We, we, there was a narrative around case he accepts.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: He, you know, we, we can only go with awful.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: We can't, we can't, we can't say, we can't say Kevin's defense could develop nobody in six years besides a fifth round tight end.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then say that you start looking without a regular season game has already developed our first job.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying that he's developed talent.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'm telling you that he's already maximizing talent way more than we can.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're not hearing about jobs.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_03]: You're not hearing about jobs with case you.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: and you're he's being moved from underneath.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to wrap around with Denzo Boston.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're not trying to do everything.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's all like, I'm not buying this whole shit when you literally plugged and you fixed your holes.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we need to see is this strong enough for the water to go through or not.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Can we at least see if the flexi tape is worth it?
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: So now or the foundation or whatever brick and mortar that we brick and mortar, baby, Todd Monk and brick and mortar football.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely love it.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns have 23 players on this year's roster that have no more than one year of NFL experience.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_03]: We're coming off of the three win season and a five win season after that.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's clear the Browns are probably rebuilding.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's safe to say, but which Browns young player absolutely has to be a hit out of the last two years in order for this team to have a bright future.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, good question.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: Spencer Fanna, right?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's gotta be your left tackle for the foreseeable future.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: He was the first tough, offensive line been taken in that draft, right?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we talked about that year with Jedrick Wills, when they passed on Tristan Wurfs.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I wasn't mad.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: I liked Jedrick Wills coming out of college.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Picks don't hit sometimes that happens, but Spencer Fano has to hit for the Browns to be successful.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: We all know past protection needs to be a focus for developing a young quarterback.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: That left tackle is the quarterback's best friend.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: Spencer Fano has to pan out, I think, for this Cleveland Browns team to really kind of put this plan into place that they've been kind of building up for these last two years.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: Say tell me that your boy.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really know.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple of different places that I can go with this question.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think one person that's going to be major in all of this, which is why you moved on from miles of Jaredverse.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think Jaredverse, he's talked about how he's pressured his entire career.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's got to finish.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's he's going to be able.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: to beat the narratives of only being a one trick pony in a bull russia is you're going to be able to take his game to the next level we know what you offer in terms of the leadership aspect but in terms of the development in your game how far are you going to go in your play I think that plays a major factor but obviously we've had a monster as defense player and that didn't matter in the long run you've had denser war lock and shit up you've had joe hands of the world lock and shit up like it really comes back
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: to, I think, the development of the quarterback room.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever that may be, and that's why I'm bucketing it all into one is because if the Sean is just, if the Sean is,
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: even if he's 20 21 Baker may feel we're winning games.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, we're we're clearing the five and a half over with no problem.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Is it going to be fun?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, that 21 season was probably miserable because we blew a lot of opportunities to win more games.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: But like, we know as much as I want my 10 wins.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I'm sticking with because I got, you know, a personal vendetta.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: This team is not for win bet and if the quarterback can just be there, whether it's Deshawn, whether it's Shador, whether it's Dylan, I don't see how you just don't go out there in your talent, elevate you to at least win five games off of that.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then you you factor in the Todd Munker factor.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the most important pieces are going to be, I think the developmental process within coach and how he operates this quarterback room.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I got to go, which I don't know if that makes sense.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: No, that totally makes sense.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go with a little McDonald's you pick two if you guys will allow me on this.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, two for three.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, two for three deal because there were two receivers drafted super high this year and you absolutely have to hit on one of case you can substitute or Denzel Boston.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, I think you're gonna, but I'm just saying for the purpose of the question, which guy has to hit?
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: I think with Andrew Barry's, Wretched, no good, very terrible history of drafting like receivers.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: You absolutely have to hit on one of these guys because I believe also, we've never taken two receivers as high as these two, right?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: We've never taken two receivers this high ever in my lifetime.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_03]: who was the last one that wasn't even close to this high bail in that record court.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, Corey Coleman was the last first one.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, I got it.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: And not many teams like and that's kind of what, you know, for all the flag we give Andrew Barry, right?
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, to go out and draft Casey at 24 and then draft right after that in the second round, I think it was 39 Denzel Boston.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, teams don't do that back to back in the in the first and second round.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like Andrew Barry identified the weakness on this roster.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the quote was right, like,
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: Todd Munkin told me what he needs and he needs offensive playmakers and he went out and got him.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's a a feather in Andrew Barry's cap.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was actually informed about my good friend Pat Kelly that it is the Panera you picked too.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_03]: I apologize to Panera for that reference real quick.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: Did you want to give McDonald's any free love?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, wow.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: So, Zay, you talked about this a second ago.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_03]: But I kind of want to get Ryan Stots and get a deeper dive.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: They really even give you a bit of a stat line here.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say, just Sean Watson has the most average NFL quarterback season of all time.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: He stays healthy.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: He gets past the eight game threshold for the first time and however long it's been and he gives you like the most Madden 79 overall quarterback rating season.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_03]: What is the Cleveland Browns record at the end of the year?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Probably seven and 10 or eight and nine.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan, if Dishon plays, you said plays all 17 games.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: So Dishon plays every single game and he plays okay football.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_03]: What's the record?
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: Seven and ten.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: Eight, maybe most eight nine.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's what I was saying too, right?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: Right about the seven when Mark.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and I mean, that's inspiring.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: If that is what the case that happens, like if you win that many games with Dishon Watson as your quarterback,
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: So guys, but I would be pointless if they do that though.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I think that there's gonna have to be, there's some, they're telling us there's not this leash.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: There's a leash.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: They, they have to know, they have a leash for sure.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they have to use what Shidorah is gonna do at the very least.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're intrigued by tail and green, you're gonna end up seeing two quarterbacks.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about those quarterbacks.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe because we have not had you on big play Cleveland Live since last Thursday's stellar preseason game out of both Dylan Gabriel and tail and green.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you happen to notice a back injury for Dillon Gabriel at some point over the weekend, but while your thoughts on the Browns deciding to keep four quarterbacks in some capacity by placing Dillon Gabriel and I are.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: What is he doing?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, this is AB, this is a AB special, right?
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: He, if an eagle yet again, found a way to keep his four quarterbacks.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously might be looking for some sort of trade in the future, possibly, but I think this says a lot more to say about Dylan Gabriel and Taylor Green, they made it hard on Todd Munkin.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, you know, as much as, this is, I've said this before, in multiple times actually, if we didn't have Shoulder,
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: there would be an overwhelming support for Dilling Gabriel.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: The moxie that this do shows like that was true FDFU energy on as a shortman.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: I would wear my my short king Dilling Gabriel shirt everywhere.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was like him coming out and just
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Putting full throttle to the gas like that was coach.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't give it like I'm about to show y'all y'all gonna calm me I'll I'm not even part of the battle like you've got it to if you or if you were fan of sports You got to tip your hat to that and then tail and green same thing coming in like oh I'm like oh my god, he's about to dinner last year out the back of the ends on on my side He might be a little bit more coordinated than that and he got a body there and I'm like
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we, we might got some with tail and green and they didn't intrigue me.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know who I saw when I saw tail and who I saw rookie RG3.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, and that's a day that was a dangerous quarterback.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: So if I don't know I think our son on the slot I think Todd is gonna have an interesting year ahead and I've say it every time how big is Todd stones?
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna find out this year for sure
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to learn about some colonies on Todd Monk and Forsher Ryan if you could only develop one of Dylan Gabriel or tailing green for the future of the Cleveland Browns for each season for all like obviously the answer to that is tail and green when you're talking about upside and that's really nothing Dylan Gabriel can do you're talking about a dude who's sub six foot first a dude who's six foot six and runs a four four 40 right it has a how it's or for an arm that's just nothing.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: with, right?
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but they both have their downsides.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: Dillon's are more physical, tailings are more developmental at this point, so I'm going to go with the quarterback that you can kind of teach that stuff to, right?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: You can't teach size and athleticism.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: You can kind of teach the processes of an NFL quarterback.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously, I'm picking tail and green for that.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: Say, is there an argument at all to be had for dealing Gabriel?
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: Just based off of how much higher his floor may be than tail and greens.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta excuse me, I, I, I, I, what are we, is there an argument?
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: There's an argument that I'm just looking at right now.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: And ESPN, see, this is that this respectful shit I'll be talking about.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: You want to mark the 1331 cool cool, but leaving Denzel Ward.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: out of the top 100 players is a grieges, a grieges.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely a grieges.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: Car's the sweatshirt came in at 85 and Jerry Verse came in at 69.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: But as Denzel Ward, what are we talking about?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, I got off track.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: What was your question?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: You got me, I got so excited just to you, well actually no, I remember it wasn't.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a world where because of the higher floor of Dylan Gabriel that you would have all considered developing him over tailing green?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's not, no, not what Todd is your coach.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: Hell no.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he doesn't experience with running QBs.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: We have to talk about this one, Zay.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_03]: I know you're not gonna like this.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_03]: I know you're gonna be mad, but as Browns fans who don't have a quarterback in the future yet, we have to leave no stone unturned, obviously, so we have to discuss it for five minutes.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, if you jump, I need someone to get my insurance ready and Casey jumps over and starts strangling me, when I mention this guy's name.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: The Cowboys decided to wave quarterback Joe Milton Zay,
- 25:05[SPEAKER_03]: It appears you have zero interest in the man who actually has a how it's referred arm coming to Cleveland.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: We already have four quarterbacks as a too many cooks no reason to bring in Joe Milton.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: this is the dumbest entertaining thing we've done in a while like you can say no you don't know i'm not i'm not saying you have to say you can say no you don't have to say oh he's gonna have a hundred touchdowns on the browns uh... you can say no he can move on it's a question yeah move the hell on okay that's a simple enough this is last year cool this year no we what are we talking about move the hell on they like people entertaining this is just annoying because it's like oh we've got to eleven days twelve days until
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: And to live the bronze play, let's just say the most outlandish bullshit we can figure out when we just put a guy on IR with a back injury We're let's add another guy into the mix.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean listen
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying it's not going to happen now, right?
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: You're way too late into camp the season's about to start.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way that's going to happen.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: But what I will say is, and say again, feel free to disagree and Jack will ask you guys this too.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just put it this way.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: And mind you, you still just 26 years old, right?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: Who would you rather have?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's 26. Who would you rather have on a roster right now?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just and I'm bare with me.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to throw them.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: Dylan Gabriel or I could take no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I would maybe take Joe Millen and then here's our sure saying there's no Milton like I'm I'm but my answer is sure I think I was I think if any of us said Joe Millen for this answer there'd be a red dot in our head within five sides, but it should or center.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely should and I'll take should or over Milton too.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right that's where I'll draw the line, but I'm just saying like for the sake of the argument, I would take Joe Millen on the Browns.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

- 27:42[SPEAKER_03]: It is time to play the schedule game on the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, Ryan, are you guys ready to go week by week for your Cleveland Browns and predict the record before we bring Phil Taylor on it.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm absolutely ready, Jack.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready to see how we differ and what we agree on.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I heard we got some cool little graphics for this, Ryan.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a little bit of something.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, look at this.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Jack, take some water.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_03]: Let's start it out.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: We're heading down to Duval County, week one, in Jacksonville.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns on the road against the Jaguiers, Zay, what are you taking?
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Michelle Watts, a 7-1, Richard Jazz, even a Jags.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: Er.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a bad omen.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's a bad omen.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: He goes, he goes to Sean Watson and 7-1.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: Something won against the Jags.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_03]: Give me the Jags.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the give me the Browns.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to, obviously, this is where we start to differ less than your on the road to start the season.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: You are playing a division winner who I think is going to have a chip on their shoulder the way last season ended.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people think they're not going to repeat names yourself.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like Liam Cohen.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to Jaguar as I don't think they win this game at all.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Here's what I'm going to say, you know, everyone, not everyone.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people in Cleveland want to want to want to do our standard starting week three that would require the Sean Watson to go on to.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people don't think that the Browns are going to win week one.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, most people don't think the Browns are going to week one.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: So what are the Cleveland Browns are going to do right?
- 29:00[SPEAKER_03]: And they're going to win week one.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns shock everyone in Jackson, the week one.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: Want to know.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Fun fact, you know the last time that they won a regular season game on the road the Browns the Brown regular season game on the road So it wasn't last year that it sounds like it's very significant.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: I will say
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: The last road.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's not the.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Is it the Houston game?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you didn't say the last road week one win last road week one win.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the Baker one the Baker win.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, against going K. York and nail that feel because we've only one like literally two times on the road life time to start week one week to the Baker ball.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns stay in Florida or I guess we'll come home, but they're in Florida to play Tampa Bay and Baker may feel.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I believe I give Baker this one.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a game that he wakes up for the dangers for it.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean You can't go on to against the Browns, right?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna be circling this one from the day.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was there So I can give the nod to the books on this one.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, by the way, make sure you keep try how many wins we give it up
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm going.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't know how many I'm getting.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: You're playing a nasty defensive front seven in Tampa Bay.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: Again, everything Zay just mentioned.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: Baker will see him playing on a contract.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're he's going to be fired up his act.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, they're not going to win this game.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to start the season.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and two, but doesn't mean the season's falling.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Does mean it's over, right?
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what we've kind of expected.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: Them to come home week three, oh and two, a chance to get that first win against a decent Panthers team.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, I have the blues.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, bakers going scorched earth week three the Browns finally come home to face rice young in the Carolina Panthers.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: They winter lost This is where y'all really bug him.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to give me the next three slides.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's a win Zay or Ryan yeah, right um
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe this is where the tides turn, right?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm interested.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: We'll show it to our center.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: Start week three if they start on two.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you will, right?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're going to give them at least four games into that week five jet-s game to circle.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think they lose this game as well.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think they go on three to start the season.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think we lose a home opener.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: Nick.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: week for Thursday night football short week against the steelers at home next james e to w you're taking a loss I'm taking this will be the shons last game I saw I'm not I have the browns at one in three now I think this is a loss a prime time a week for home loss a massacre against the shonwats and everybody's I'm going to go to a bad jet team I'm going to go lost here to go one in three should or gets 10 days to prep for the jets
- 31:20[SPEAKER_03]: agreed.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: And now it's time for Shidorah or Deshawn, depending on where your choose your own adventure has gone so far to play at the metal lens.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: Matt Lampary and one right now, just on still playing, we're winning this game for one.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Shidorah throws the wrist up in his first start of the year.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: What do you have to record?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Before I won.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, week, we're on week five.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: Jets, Rick, I think this is where Shador makes a start.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of like we get a little bit of a tides or turning.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully week six doesn't get killed, but I think it might.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, week five I'm going out.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're first win.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're one and four headed into week six.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_03]: Todd Monkin gets his first chance against his old ball club, the Baltimore Ravens.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: At home, I have the Browns at two and three to this point.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: So do you write a correct?
- 32:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, I have them one and four.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_03]: One and four.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, you have them at four and one.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_03]: What is your pick?
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: I believe this is where I have us losing this.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll go to four and two here.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I got a loss here.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, a loss against the Ravens.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: So a house lost means they will win that.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: That game.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_03]: That's just how the Browns.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jesse Meters defense got him flying around
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: the Browns go down to smashville hadn't done a national to take on the Titans and camward a little bit of that rivalry you know that could have been the one two they played a great game last year high scoring game if I remember who wins I can't believe they lost yeah yeah I think we have like 40 points who wins Ward should or two we got to get a good back so I believe I have a win here as well.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go a win here as well.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm actually going to take a loss.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just because it's on the road.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_03]: This is at home.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think I would take it as a win.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to take it as a loss on the road.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns play in Pittsburgh.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: Second matchup of the year against Steelers.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think this is.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm four in two right now.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: I believe this is the stretch where we get the tide to turn.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so can I go the next three four year real quick?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: Just so I prefer not just we could keep easier track.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, well, it's all the same.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: Was it a win?
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, they lose that one.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_03]: So you guys will have a loss.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm actually saying yes.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I took a loss against Tennessee.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm at two losses in a row.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think sure Sanders goes into Pittsburgh and gets the first regular season when since I believe it's 2002, I could be wrong.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that's going to be like the, when you remember this season, that was like the win of the year, the way like the James Snow Globe game was, that one year when we were six or six in town or whatever.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't see that happening.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's why we're doing this in September.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns head down to the bayou to go to the dome and take on the Saints.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that is also a no-is-good loss.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, see, I can't remember how this goes here.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: My thought was we don't lose to Tyler Schug.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't buy it.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: But we never beat the frickin' Saints for whatever reason.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: They have our number.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Just like we have other teams number.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: The Saints always seems to have our freaking number.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think we lose this game as well.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm taking a loss as well down the by here.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan, yeah, you're, you're for my, okay, I was just conferred on the Browns come back home to take on the Houston Texans Zay is this a just Sean versus the Texans game?
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is where the Sean loses his job.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm still playing.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I said, like, this is we're going to get a Brian Hoyer joining me as those situation this year.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we lose three on a row.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: You go into the by week.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: You make the turn to Shador.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: Can Shador be the answer to the Cleveland Brown's organization?
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: Can he conquer the work?
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because we'll be in the hunt.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're what?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: Five and five at that point.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: Can you go back up now?
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: You would have them there.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: It was one two three that yes, so we're five and five up into that point.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: You come back out.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: He gets the same start against the same team He got to start last year against the Raiders can to shine purple or can should door propel you to a playoff position Yes or no, that's where it starts.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I have us losing that text and it's game into the by week Yeah, I week no one taking a loss of this one.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_03]: I believe when we win that we win the by me Maybe add one more.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's your buffer because that's the risk going up we win the risk goes up and so the long week
- 35:26[SPEAKER_03]: The Las Vegas Raiders come to town.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's gonna be Fernando Mendoza.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: He played it in Indiana, not seeing his play in court while they're before, but I'll give him a win here.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: I want to find a way to get another win here.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I think they beat the Raiders again.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: It'll probably be, I would imagine, by week, 12 Fernando Mendoza, I think he's gonna be great.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: But again, Brown's defense at home, against the rookie quarterback, I'll probably give the nod to the Brown's there to get the win.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm taking Cleveland Brown's win as well.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_03]: Across the board, I love that guy.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm at four wins now.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: So are you Ryan Craig?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm at three.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: You're at three.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: And you're at six and five, say, okay.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns stay at home.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: Nice little three game homestand here.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: Seeing the bangles for the first time all season.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: See, this is where I hate.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I always get a little torn because I have to force myself to get 10.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I have to force myself to get the 10 wins.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, but I have to.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, I do.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for the RV, for the RV, for the RV, that's why I'm going the way that I'm going.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: I have to get 10 wins.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: But, like, Jo Burrow is about to bullish yourness, pissing me off, man, but for my argument's sake, we have to win this game, so that'll take us to seven.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got a loss here.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going with your sneaky, the Browns pull one out of it.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_03]: This is because I don't think I have a home division when you're not.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to take it home division when here.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_03]: Don't know how it happens, but we do tend to do all against the Bengals and Joe Burrow.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: I would say the Kevin Stefanski Bull here turns to Cleveland.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, I'll give the Browns a win here.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: You can't lose that game.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's a win.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: You can not.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: Again, what the quarterback situation will be like for Atlanta, come week 14, like might be as dire as what the Cleveland Browns quarterback situation be probably even worse, right?
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you run through to a place to help you run through him, it might be even worse.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: And again, you're at home.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that locker room is going to be fired up.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: I can't get with my loss at home against Kevin's defense cap.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I have this feeling nice.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: He coming off to straight wins from the buy and I kind of accounted for this I could see if being a very proud thing to lose Kevin Sifanski in a service game bag.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna take a loss I actually I have to switch my that bangles game is a loss.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: Now that I'm looking at it because we have to win So take that one the bangles is a loss.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: So six and six, right?
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: So you'd be up.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: No seven seven and six.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay Right.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the brown.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: No wait
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: Seven of your math majors up here just going through it.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: Just no common wins.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: You have them.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: Carry the ones, Raiders, Steelers, or no Titans.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jet Steelers, Panthers, or Panthers, Jags.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's seven.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, no, I gotta keep it there.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Never mind.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Where?
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's a win.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're heading two New York to take on Jackson Dyer.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm at eight, right?
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we lose that.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, again, I'm a loss for that.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: See, I'm taking the Browns bounce back here if I took them to loose to the Falcons.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: I see again, I think week 15, giant will be firmly in the playoff on, man.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a fun win, sometimes you've got to have a fun win for the Cleveland football Browns.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: They do it from time to time.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: This is your record.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: This is my record.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: This is my choose my own adventure.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: The boss is my Ravens Islander.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm taking a loss.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking a loss as well.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_03]: See, this is where I can get, I can get kind of funky and tricky.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have a spitting the Ravens last time?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's the problem.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think Todd Munking goes on to against his former team.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: But for arguments, say we're going to make it more entertaining, I'll give us the loss on that one.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: So we're still 8 and 7 so I've the Browns at 6 wins.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: You the Browns at 8 wins.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan are you at 3 still?
- 38:54[SPEAKER_03]: I am at 1 at 2 3.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_03]: I'm at 4.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: 4.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, wow.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_03]: You're climbing this all club back up.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns come home last one game of year to take on the Colts.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: W. Lost.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm taking a loss here.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: Lost.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: And to get me my RV, baby.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: We got to close it on on road in the dirty Kentucky Naddy.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, I'll take the Bengals week 18 that yearly game where, and hopefully for the Bengals for the game, it'll be where Joe Burl's resting, right?
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they play off, so they got a buyer, whatever it is.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: Black versus Sean or not, whoever, and they get that, who raw, way to end the season week 18, and that brings me right to my five win mark right there.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm at seven and ten, I actually, I gave this to you more wins than I thought I was gonna.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: I thought I was firmly gonna be at five and 12, and that's where I ended up.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, ten and seven.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: Which part of the way, and let me just say this too.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: I have my 5 and 12, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be headed into the next season like down and out on the grounds by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not the case.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, because if I see, if I see, well, KC looks great.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Dental looks great.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line held up.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: Spencer Fanna looks great.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: Quinn Chants still running the ball, healthfully, right?
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like the defense doesn't have major regression.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: And guess what?
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to like this day.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to like this.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: But then I'm thinking, well, did Todd Watt, Monk and Zoffens look good?
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what does it look like with a nourish seller's in it?
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's going to be the conversation that we have at that point.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: And fans aren't going to like it.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, some will, I will, because I enjoy watching the college quarterbacks.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: But that's ultimately what it's going to come down to.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to take a break here on the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_03]: When we get back, Brown's Legend Phil Taylor talking, do we have a complete roster in Cleveland or not?
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: This is Jack O'Ruch alongside Chef Samar and Ryan Tyler.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: And we are happy to bring in Phil Taylor now.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, how are you doing today?
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go, don't go, go ahead and be here.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, before we get too deep in anything, I do have to publicly apologize to you for advancing the weekend.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: Dynasty before you had the chance to play your game.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_03]: Because someone else who may or may not be in the league happens to not get on to play his game at any point in time.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you got on yet.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been on.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: You played any game yet?
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: I see Jack knows the story, but he probably who don't listen, because every time I talk to him, well, so I mean, he just don't listen.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: Miscommunication.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but you know, like, I play it a couple.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: It just didn't go out the way I wanted to.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's that happened sometimes.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we're working on getting a complete roster for your TCU horn frogs, but Phil, once you were hoping, has a complete roster by week one, is your Cleveland Browns?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you're thoughts on the initial cut-downs for the 53-man roster.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, look upset.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-oh, you know, I, uh, yeah.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted them to keep flooring, uh, but at the same time, I hope he, I hope he goes from where I'm all, but I hope he doesn't.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: So we can't leave him back.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: Put him maybe practice squatting in, you know.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: He gives me such like co-beesly vibes with Josh Allen.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I could see him somewhere like that.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_03]: And it was just just work out before.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, what, you know, I mean, we still got what they kept kept six.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why was he kept six?
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Still got six good.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Why was he without feeling like on the roster?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: They kept Malachi over him, which even later, even later.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we could have got at least seven round.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: Pick out of the Tilman.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they just straight caught him.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, we talked a little bit earlier before you joined about which position group we thought were the strongest going into the season.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: If you were to bank out one position group, showing up for the Browns this year, which one would you pick?
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: I would say if I were to go top five positions, number one, more most secure position, right, the defensive back.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: line baggers three
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: I would say running backs, then I will go while I receive this, then D-line after that, then QB, so it's more than five, but... Zay, what is your top five position group say you feel most comfortable about this season?
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think I'm comfortable with our safety room.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think our safety room for the first time has to...
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you split in it up, just to save these.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: I like the safety.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I mean, I love Denzel and Tyson, but they're a cold away from us being in the cold.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: That scares me a little bit.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that scares me.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: I, I think.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think our receiver room is probably the biggest strength and that's crazy to say because when is the receiver room ever been a strength in the same sense with the Cleveland Browns, but they are so deep that I always forget to mention Isaiah Bond.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: And that's crazy.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: Isaiah Bond will have a crazy year this year, so I'll go, I like to say through when I love the receiver room, but I think our running back room is as good as that year.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_03]: So first time in forever, I felt good about four receivers.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I'll for sure.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: Phil, we were talking earlier before you came on the show, and ESPN, they ranked the Cleveland Browns the 31st, best team in the national football league and do the math quick.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, one team worse.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_02]: They had the Miami Dolphins, and we kind of debated it and I said, why I'd put them a little bit higher.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: I suppose I understand why they're that low.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, questions.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: At the quarterback of first time at coach, when you hear Cleveland Brown's second worst team in the NFL, over reaction or kind of do you agree?
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm not surprised, you know, and I know, you know, guys in the locker room aren't surprised either, you know, but at the same time, we hear that noise and then we just, we go out there and do what we can do, you know, you can only control what you can control and let the parents do the talking and set the rankings.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh, I want to ask you because they made a couple of points about facing the regression of the Browns might face from last week.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen it's going to be a different unit.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like anytime you lose Miles Garrett, it's going to be dumb to just sit here and say, Oh, for sure we're going to be here there, but I think they kind of brought up some good points about how this unit might.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: She held together better than people are even expecting even though they have a new defensive coordinator because of the versatility of Jared verse and his leadership elements as well I believe you were saying, okay.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think that this Brown's defense has a chance to be just as good or even better than last year this year or do you anticipate more of a regression for this group?
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't see necessarily a regression We might not have a guy out there getting 15 to 20 sex, but as a unit, I feel like we still are being
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: just as good if not better you know what I mean you know miles is miles but at the same time like we all say we didn't win games with it you know what I mean so you know if we win in games and and our defenses don't what they're supposed to do I'm what it
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: What's your young brown are you most I mean we got a lot of them we can go back to last year You can even go back a year before if you want but who are you most excited for or most confident in this year?
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's go not excited for let's go confident most confident.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and excited.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: How about two of us?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: I would say cars
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would say Carson, Carson, and Fanon are the most confident with.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: And probably Chuck and Sue, I put those three in there.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: And after that, it'd be Mason.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he needs to have a big jump.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: Fanon, he needs to come out of the gates rolling.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: And the safety must stand from our own.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: If those three have been going to run, I feel like they'll be all right.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_03]: Let me ask you, you got the chance to be around some not always spectacular quarterback play.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that there's some anticipation, Cleveland, that there's a chance that we don't get spectacular quarterback play.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: At least to start the season.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_03]: When you're on the roster and you're like watching what goes down on the field, obviously you're focused on your defense first.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: You're almost like you're not playing the same game as the offense.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: You're on the field at the same time as you, but how much does it weigh down on you?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: Or how fast can you kind of realize like, oh, maybe this guy doesn't have it or this is going to hurt our chances to win because the offense will not be able to move the ball this guy.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: As a player looking at that is more like you can't really can't voice your frustrations as much as a player because at the same time it's a team, you know, we got to, we got to hold our brothers up, but at the same time we got to hold our brothers accountable, you know what I mean, it's a difference between holding somebody accountable then to just, you know, trash talking somebody on your team.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's ways to hold people accountable and I feel like, you know, verse and some of these guys that have been around this year, there should be a lot of, you know, taking accountability, accountability for the things that are going on.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to ask you a question about, so the Browns brought in Sam William's day and Derek Barnett last week.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_03]: How tough is it?
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: As the blue angels are just rolling out and getting ready for the, for the big show this weekend.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the ground is shaking in here.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, that's crazy.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little guy.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like jumbling around with that piece of cheese.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, I got to, I got to calm down.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_03]: I forgot what my question was for yourself.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just getting rid of my gun.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_03]: The Jeff, the Jeff, the Jeff's just got to find it.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: They got him hiding bothers, the Jeff got him hiding bothers.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I know what's going to have me bothered is.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: See, in case he accepts, you know, I'll find that in zone.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: In a good way, I'm about to go away.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: So who will rookie are you looking for to have the biggest impact?
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: We obviously got Casey, you already mentioned a manual, Boston, Fano,
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want to go.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, I want to know Phil Taylor.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: You got one guy who's going to have Phil Taylor's impact me like damn.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he really did this thing this year for me.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, man, just based off a camp and uh, just a big guy in me, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a,
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if we can get things rolling, how we, we want to and on a good Cleveland day, both of them guys are having about 800 yards.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would hope.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: I need a little bit more.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they both have over 1,000.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know what I mean?
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go, I just want to piggyback on Final Real quick.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: For Final.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that it was, it was needed to see that dog in final this year to give us that just that sense of security like okay he might actually beat that guy because I know when we first got in you drive the guy 9th overall you want to see him jump off the charts as some way shape or form.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be weird saying this because you're saying it can bounce, Garrett, hell of it.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: Would Miles Garrett have given us the same type of feel like Jared Versa has given us with Fano in terms of verse unlocking that dog or that instinct that we needed to see.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like what we have gotten out of Miles' on our team, maybe?
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like we said, Miles is he's not a necessarily a focal leader.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure, just him going against Fernando and practice every day, it's like our sharpest iron there.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: They make each other better.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, verse and him are going against each other and they're making each other better.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: So the back and forth though, like we saw it was one week where Jared verse was through a punch and he grabbed him on the ground and the next week you see Fano put in Jared verse into the dirt.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, we ain't never seen nobody put Miles Garrett into the dirt.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'm saying is it was like it was almost like that that kid that was getting bullied finally stood up to the bullying was like you're not doing this no more after that moment when they got into that fight there was a whole another side of final do we need to see that?
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: Not necessarily needed, but we know it's there, you know, it's a good thing, you know what's a good thing, but that's a good thing, you know, guys getting fight and camp all the time, because in camp, the hardest people to go against is your teammates, they know what you're good at, you know, they know what you don't like, they know how to push your button.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, when they when they're cutting the practice was always hard, when they came, when they come to the game is easy, and that's how it should be on all levels, practice should be the hardest thing ever to when you get to the game is just fun and easy.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: Phil do you do have any faith that this season will bear any fruit in terms of a quarterback whether it's somehow to Sean Watson plays well again whether it's to door Sanders plays enough to convince us in the Browns that he's a franchise quarterback or Or do you get the feeling this is all going to culminate to where we're sitting here at this time next year and all the hype in who plough is going to be about which first round quarterback they took in this year's upcoming draft.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_00]: You never know unless they give.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody the shots they truly deserve, you know what I mean and uh
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm hoping, you know, the Sean State's healthy and if he's QB one the whole season, then he's QB one the whole season.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and I always been a fan of not throwing rookies and when they don't need to be in, you know what I mean?
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: If a rookie can sit back and learn, you know, I think that is better, especially after QB position.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's so many, you know, what if at QB, going to the sorry teams,
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, great cubies going to sorry teams and playing right away and hurting their careers.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he revived in this, but at the same time, like a, you know, a Johnny Menzel.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, what if Johnny Menzel was set behind somebody for two to three years before?
- 52:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: You never know how different, it ain't about what the player wants.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's about,
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, sometimes we need to hire our ups to save us from ourselves, you know what I mean?
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know what you're asking about the patriots and behind Brady with Bill Bellachack?
- 52:31[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think they at all straighten out Johnny Menzo?
- 52:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_03]: So do you, do you, do you, so I mean?
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: Bellachack ain't letting all this shit ride like we do.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if I would, that's, that is true.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't just ride with him.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: Dress him in the first place.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, I remember my question from before I was really interrupted by the blue angels.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: Just a few short minutes ago.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns brought in Sam Williams and Derek Barnett over the past couple of weeks to bolster the defensive line after the injury to Alex right.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_03]: How tough is it for a guy to just walk in with 10 days, 15 days before the season and get up to speed for week one, or is it more plug-in play than a fan might realize?
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: For D-Line, it's kind of plug-in play, a lot of your plays are, you know, I'm going left this time and going right this time, you know what I mean?
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only thing that really switched up is terminology.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: Learnin' the terminology and then go on to a new team.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_00]: If you got a little bit of time left, the coaches will work with you.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_00]: That gives you, you know, this is our base set of plays.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_00]: Just worry about these and then once we get up to speed, then we open up the playbook more, you know what I mean?
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: So, I
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: you me.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, if you want to.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I mean, so the depth with Alex right, you lose Miles Garrett, you let go of Julian O'Caro, who I actually thought had a really good chance.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm not really sure, but what do you thought's on that?
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what, what, why?
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: Matter of fact I got a question for you because I've been telling people we got a buy stock into all this training camp and for certain reasons but I came away with it after this 53 man roster cut down and I came away with it like not an issue matter like none of it matters at all what more could look for you have done what more could a Julian or Quarra have done when you go out and take advantage of every opportunity in front of you
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: Am I crazy for thinking that it matters training camp in preseason?
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: Unless you like pop off and you just dominate and don't mind it really that's what it looked like that's crazy man Because I mean I mean look for it was Dominating low-key like I mean he was I feel like he had a good You know connection with Shidorin you know what I mean and oh For his mind playing a little game you guys got time for a game this after us go, baby So are you guys all familiar with the speak when you hear something better than Yeah, top of false signs with the sixers
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: Right now we'll just now talk of what talk of all they can't keep doing this This is a little warm about the resurrect son what in all season
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: Regardless of where Taco Fal is playing his basketball this guy, that's just crazy.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_03]: I am going to name off NFL teams from the pot ranking 32 and up.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: I want you guys to speak when you finally hear it seem better than the Cleveland Browns.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_03]: So if it's a team who the Browns are better than, you don't need to say a word.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_03]: You guys can all bow out of the competition whenever.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_03]: Is everyone ready?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_03]: The Miami Dolphins.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: The Arizona Cardinals, okay, the New York Jets, okay, so at least three teams, the Tennessee Titans, okay, we're at four teams now, the Las Vegas Raiders, five teams across the
- 55:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably what I'll stop you.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and the Falcons could have a horrible year, right?
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they could absolutely finish last in the NFC South, and Kemish Fanski could lose his job and it could go all the hell, right?
- 56:09[SPEAKER_02]: But same thing with the Browns, but they have better skill position players.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's undeniable.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: Drake-London, B. John Robinson, Kyle Pitts, like, right there, I don't know if you can find a better trio.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then you got some defensive pieces, right?
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and you're in such a win-a-volt division, I think the Falcons are better than the Browns.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: But that's not to say the Browns can easily be better than them next year.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're both looking for an answer at quarterback.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_03]: Well Ryan, I just I love you participating in this competition.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for thank you for playing.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: We have some more Browns news as well.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: They signed corner back Noah.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's been no Janney.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: To the 53-man roster, more DB help, which was huge.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was a 20, 21st round pick.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: He struggled with Bryan Flores, man, heavy scheme.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I spent time in Dallas and Washington in the past couple years.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's a veteran with 17 starts and has special team experience.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_01]: So all the questions that we've been having with the secondary depth.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_01]: They go out and get a guide yesterday.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then they follow again today with another guide.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now, in terms of what you said it with Atlanta Falcons, I think Browns can be.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't say the Saints yet.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm not there yet.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you guys see the five, but like the Falcons have way higher expectations in the Browns.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's not even like you, I would.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_01]: The Saints would need to go before the Falcons.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: He just don't earn an order from the rankings.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: So they have the same higher than the, they have the Saints higher than the, they have by one spot.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_02]: The Saints should be higher than the Falcons.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: Wait a minute.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm great like didn't everyone just say that the Falcons got Kevin's the Fasky and all of a sudden they're this contender like no I don't think I don't think one person on the planet said that
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I think it was like offensively out there.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was like, okay, and dear God, please find a quarter back.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_03]: You have same luck.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like they got, you have.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: What ain't got it?
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: Eat you in and come on now, but you don't know where you're going to do it.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: You're messing with B John and London.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we're going back to the game.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_02]: We're going back to the game.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_02]: The New Orleans Saints.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: I bet it in the rosary now, yes.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's say so.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_03]: The New York Giants.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_03]: I can give them.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so so you guys have the browns that'll be my first one.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, let me get twenty-fet.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: So are the the consensus for getting it.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, would you?
- 58:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but each we've been playing.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_03]: I said that's a high stick.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: It ever put them.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: It'll keep going on the list.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, see.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_03]: There's on your more teams.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_03]: You can pass.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: But hey, in fairness, the Carolina Panthers.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm taking the bronze.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking the Panthers.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: Vikings, but you gave us the win on that game.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: So how are you taking the Panthers?
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't give us the win.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: I gave us loss.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: You started us only three.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're a sick human.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're a sick human.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're your realist.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: You're your realist.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: Vikings are better than the Browns Same Close.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's you say it's not closed, but they have quarterback problems.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: I was like we did.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_02]: They also have much more established players across the board.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: We go on a stop, but sure you're not and they have Kevin O'Connor by the way.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm giving them.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_01]: We have we have the top five.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: I running back room matches there.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_00]: If not better.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: I can see you.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: I can we can all why receiver room can match up there.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: Even though they just said he didn't know.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_01]: Even though they got you.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's all.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: Who's talking to Jalen Taylor?
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan, that is.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, yeah, then that's a good one.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: If he could stay not suspended or hurt, I mean, we're paying $8 million.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: cool.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: We still have four guys that are better collectively as a whole.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_01]: We have one of the better receiving cores.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like in the lead from one to five name better five than what we have.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's all it is for me.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: They had a combined
- 59:40[SPEAKER_01]: a thousand yards last year between Judy and still better than the Panthers, and whoever else you just said.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: I like tap though.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_00]: I like tap.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_00]: Tap and coker.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good duo.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: The Steelers, I can give them not to the Steelers because I think they got Aaron Rodger, magic this year.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: So that is probably where we run out right around that.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably where we wander.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's no more teams who even consider higher.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_03]: OK, how about the exercise?
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, thank you for joining us.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's fine.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: It seems they have to do it.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to take a break.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: You have the big play.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to show what we're back.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk some guards ball.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to Big Play Cleveland Live.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_03]: We are going to talk about the guards here.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_03]: And one half second, but we did forget, while we still have Phil here, we have maybe the funniest story of all time, which we have not yet talked about here.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Big Play Cleveland Live in any way, shape or form.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think all four of us probably have the ton of thoughts on this.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_03]: Daysion Love 35 is accused of defrauding at least 26 women of approximately $1.3 million.

- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_03]: The 49ers might be having the craziest offseason of all time between this guy Shanna Han getting in the car crash that wasn't reported on in forever and I and the I uke stuff like What the heck is happening?
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh the owner yeah, I forgot about that The 140 clubs that say what are your thoughts on this whole scandal you Who you say who go to my

- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: City boys up.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: This is right here.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan, Ryan wrote this question here.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like my favorite question in the history of Big Play programming.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys had to pull a day John Lawman for one day, who is the athlete, you would pretend to be for a day.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_00]: I did it before in college.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: I used to act like I was on a Rogers.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_00]: We went down for Texas Relays was that basis at University of Texas.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm Roger.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_00]: I got it in all the clubs all the shit.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my, so I mean I could see it I could see it I could see it right I mean it's funny Don't even I do you just like oh yeah, I got I'm the NFL.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't give it down.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god That's funny.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean I've got a lot of different Doppel gangers and I actually met one of my doppel gangers.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_01]: He gave me the stamp of approval at the NFL draft TJ Ward I could just be TJ Ward.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: I was like a TJ man
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know I just go sound crazy.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to dress, no, no.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_01]: I got to get the dress, but I was like, everybody would always be like, man, I show cousin, you like, he like, yeah, I could see that.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: And as low as the meter, I'm like, okay.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: I got a stamp on for us all needed.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: You don't people always say, look like you're Josh Cribs.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: So people that we'll see walking by and say, like, is that Cribs?
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: You've got him Cribs?
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, I heard someone say, are you Cribs' son?
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_00]: Remember?
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I remember that day too, yeah, that's what he was.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_03]: Someone asked if you're a Josh Cribs son, that was really funny.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow, shout out to us, Cribs, man.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to us, shout out to us, shout out to us.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right, who would you be?
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I kind of took it more as like what sport, right?
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_02]: What would I do?
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like you can say you a coach and then the answer to it would be baseball, right?
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you had a faker way into something because you don't necessarily look at, yeah, you don't have to look like the most athletic guy, right?
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, Prince Fielder rolled in there.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I have to be long.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't look like the most honest.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's so funny you said.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's a Matthew.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I was in Miami going on a cruise.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_01]: This was the first time I ever took a cruise.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: I took it by myself.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I went down metal with my dude.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_01]: He let me stay there before I ended up docking.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I went to go play basketball, up at this court.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: And this dude's just staring at me, the whole time.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_01]: finally he works up the courage to be like, hey, are you Prince Fielder?
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what?
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see that though.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he's like, no.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_03]: You weigh 150 pounds less than Prince Fielder?
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: He tried to him.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, no, you're Prince Fielder.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_00]: But people never see these people in person, they never know.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: And TV, everybody's the same side them.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_03]: There's this video, there's like the guy, he's like a mall and he walks up to
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_03]: Rage on Rondo and he's like, Oh, like Chris Paul Chris Paul.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a part of it's going to react Ron looks like he's going to beat his ass just on this pot.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's the fun.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_03]: He's like a ball time people used to ask me if I was a top of Ruba really Yeah What is the first thing you guys would do to verify or validate if someone whether it I mean it probably be a friend for us But if this guy's actually on the 49ers
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_01]: Shoot, all you gotta do is check the page.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here, man.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_01]: You wanna say that guy?
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm Brown Ziff on the trigger, y'all.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_01]: That goes good.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta say it, so I'll just show him a couple of pictures.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_01]: Just like what he did.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_01]: He did it the right way.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_01]: He did it the right way.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: He literally did what is happening right now as we see.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: Or if he's a, let's say he did this and he's like a.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_00]: promoter or something.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he just had to have a few pictures with some NFL guys.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_03]: Boom.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_03]: And that's easy.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_03]: That's like worth.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan, what would you do?
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_03]: I.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_03]: But I think he's covered with a guy blown quicker if he was, if he was more known.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_02]: That was true.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_02]: I just can't fathom myself being in that situation.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first of all, I could have her fake being NFL athlete, right?
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_03]: I love his chat GPT ad where he's like, oh, I'm this undrafted guy who is on the practice squad and he's having Tom Brady and Antonio Brown come to his summer camp to just be like guest counselors, like that thing would never happen.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, any of you guys can be undrafted for you if you think of me.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you can probably go for the water, but you long snapper, right?
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_01]: You were just like a 20 year grad ball boy.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: You did a kicker?
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: Have you seen my legs?
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't be a kicker.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_03]: You could be a ball boy?
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, what do you mean?
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_03]: He looked at the legs.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, okay, actually he's right.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_00]: You don't like leg day.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_03]: I know I never see it on like a way what did jz says give like that slow down the world That that's that's my approach to it now we're gonna take a break We're gonna come back and talk Clealing Guardians in a minute.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_03]: He had a big click Leave them show fill a thank you for joining us as always.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_03]: We had to get to the bottom of that story
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back into the Big Play Cleveland show live right here on YouTube and I'm Ryan Tyler.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's Jack or work.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's chef-sayshot out of filth Taylor, appreciate him coming on us always.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_02]: We're flipping things over to the diamond and Jack, my friend, the guardians who had one point, it did look bleak.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot lie.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people lost faith.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe me include a jack, but right now if the playoffs were to start today, well, the Guardians would be in it.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's start here, Jack.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_02]: The athletic did a little bit of a ranking here about the guardians, didn't they quietly win the deadline?
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_02]: They had them ranked the number 12 team in MOB right now in their power rankings, and they get their trade deadline and grade an A-jack.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_02]: What of Joe Adele and Nathaniel Loan, those other additions, Foster Griffin?
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_02]: What do they meant to this ballcolman?
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_02]: How much of our, they the reason that they're here at this moment?
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Ryan, you put it perfectly by not mentioning Craig Yohoh, because the other three of the absolute studs essentially got to Cleveland in their respective roles.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: Nathaniel Low is almost, I mean, I believe this contract is up at the end of the year as well.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_03]: You could correct me if I'm wrong on that, or maybe it's the year after this year.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's just up after this year, but he's almost your just your pure replacement of what you were expecting.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: Kyleman's already to give you this year.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like after Kyleman's article comes out last year.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he for sure teedered off in the second half, but man's it was a consistent like what?
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_03]: 20 home runs, 70ish RBI bat, like that kind of left handed bat, you need it a power position to have in the middle of the lineup to protect Jose Ramirez and Kyle Mansardo obviously has been doing well down in Columbus since he got got down there.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_03]: Most guys tend to kill Triple A pitching, but you didn't have that from him in the major leagues this year and the guardians decided, hey, we don't know if we can sit here and wait for Kyle to try and work through it for two more months.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_03]: The at bats weren't great, especially against left handed pitching really towards the end.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_03]: And then you go on, you bring in a thing, you'll load.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_03]: Who's just the, he's just a model citizen in the order
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_03]: Usure takes longer at bats the power has been there on certain days like he's very he's like I would have the number and how many Sack flies he's had since he's gotten to Cleveland, but it seems like whenever he has the opportunity with guys in scoring position He's least getting wood on the ball and it's the kind of thing that we missed all year by not having Calamensar to being exactly what you were expecting him to be coming off of this and Joe Adele fixes like a 20 year problem in Cleveland literally actually maybe even longer than 20 year problem by providing it right handed out field bat and
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, has he been as consistent against right hand and pitching this year in general as you'd hope after how good he was last year?
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_03]: No, but he's come to Cleveland.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_03]: The average is Johnson Lewis said yesterday probably never gonna be that high But he's getting on base.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's walking.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it's four home runs in twenty one RBI since he got to Cleveland last month I had the deadline Twenty one RBI since twenty three games.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_03]: That's what like a I'm really bad at math probably like in a hundred and thirty RBI pace Yeah, he wouldn't keep that up But that's pretty dang good and you have that six RBI game in there
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_03]: thing that helps because if you have that righty bat in there, it makes up for David Fried, not really playing baseball ever and Reese Hoskins being on the IL like you have that right handed bat that you can stick into the lineup and foster Griffin yeah there was a hiccup I believe the first start maybe even the first two starts weren't that great, but he's been consistent since then and just pushes everyone down one spot and it gets you to the point where hey knock on wood obviously you never want this to happen, but if
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: a pitcher goes down before the playoffs or even if it is foster girlfriend, then you still have three good pitchers.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_03]: If a pitcher goes down before the playoffs or a Gavin Williams doesn't quite get all the way back up to snuff of how he was performing in the first half, you kind of have more insurance of hey, we still feel really good about three starters we have.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_03]: Craig, you know how I pray for yourself.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_02]: So it's interesting when you look at these rankings right because I just said they make them the 12th or ranked them the 12th team in Major League Baseball Jack.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, my math is correct.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_02]: Three division winners.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_02]: Three wild card spots per American League and National League.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_02]: 12 playoff teams.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, by that metric, right.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_02]: So we're talking about the Cleveland Guardians being like maybe that French playoff team, but not expected to do much when they get there when you're facing against these playoff teams.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_02]: They do look maybe a step down, but listen.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_02]: I see there's a reason for that basketball.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's not football.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's baseball, right?
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like that.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_02]: Sealing right that that that gap from one to 12 isn't nearly what it'd be in terms of if it was the NFL or one seed playing in eight seed basketball
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but can I use this moment?
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's not not rants, but events a little bit on the Cleveland Guardians, because I was sucked into my, my good friend in War Room for the Guardians colleague Pat Kelly this morning about the state of the Cleveland Guardians baseball club.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_03]: And there's such a glaring hole in terms of the fact that Ralphie Velasca's should so be with this ball club and Ryan, that might be the one thing that actually does elevate you from being number 12.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe being number 8 or number 7 and then hey, when you're number 7 or number 8 in the MLB, you can start punching up a little bit closer
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that's a big jump, right?
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but, but Ralphie Blaskas can provide that for this Guardian's team.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_03]: If you look around baseball, the San Diego Padre is called up a 20 year old Ethan Salas to join their club is their 40-man expansion.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_03]: I have nothing against calling up Daniel Stemman, but hey, it seems like with Salas, the powders are fine with, we don't care about what happens with the CBA, with
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_03]: contract years, whatever, if you're on the 40-man roster, we're going to call you up right now and do it.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_03]: We don't care if you can be with our hitting development team next March through June or whenever that lock out goes, because hey, we feel like we need you now to go out when ballgame, so you can get into October.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's what we should be because if you're in that spot, and Jose Ramirez who as we saw over the weekend is looking healthier and healthier, so he can slide in the third.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_03]: If you're then going,
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_03]: Jose at third, an hour in the infield alongside Dezana with low.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_03]: If you throw Ralphie in the outfield, put Joe at D.H. or Joe at D.H. Ralphie in the outfield, and then you put Kwan and C.D.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_03]: on the other outfield spots.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty dang good lineup.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of Steven Kwon, guys, oh my goodness, what a second half break through four Steven Kwon.
- 1:11:53[SPEAKER_02]: When you look at some of the numbers, through all star break and then after it, 225, this is pretty all star 332, OBP282 slugging.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_02]: After almost 376 average 466, OBP443 slugging, Chef Zayl, start with you.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Did you ever lose faith in Steven Kwon?
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_02]: And we have ever seen a second half comeback, like we have for a player in Steven Kwon.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know what this is just from a guy who doesn't keep up with baseball like a good guy jack over here.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know what this tells me?
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_01]: This tells me that all of the trade deadline talk and maybe potentially getting rid of quan took a toll on him potentially.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now that that's put the bed into rest and go back out, play some good baseball.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_01]: get where you need to be because you don't need quon.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to make any type of run in this, and I like I said, I'm not no baseball guru, but if you want to make a push at this thing, Steven quon being at the beginning of your line up is going to be everything that you need because not only is he good with the bad, he can make, make the pitcher throw a lot more pitches than you want him to.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's good with the bad, the, the, the, um, the bad work getting on
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_03]: He watered here.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_03]: Here, take a bite.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_03]: Do you back wash it this time?
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_03]: No, I didn't back wash it.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't offer it.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_03]: You guys can take the floor.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_03]: Regardless.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_03]: With this fall club, what you have guys like Stephen Kwan, chase the lottery, Jose Ramirez, Nathaniel Lo, towards the top of the order that ton to take a lot of pitches per a bat, that's how you when you get into a playoff series or maybe even if you don't have the strongest line up in the whole entire world where, if you have these four guys at the top who are just making pictures work and then innings that should be 18 pitches, turn into 25 pitch innings.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_03]: You start knocking guys out faster in playoff series, teams start getting to the rollpins more, it's a war of attrition, right?
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like there's ways you can win simply by having guys like Stephen Kwan,
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_03]: putting up their normal bets.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_01]: I've actually this every single week.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I feel like I have no choice but to ask you again.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_01]: Are the cleave and browns and playing football this week?
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, they're not are are the guards peaking at the right time.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Is this is this the magic that they needed.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Because I asked you every week and last week, we were kind of there the week where you weren't there.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's a thing those days.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's a big week of baseball coming up.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_03]: So we have no tears in the blue jays.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_03]: So we can sit down over a glass of whiskey in a cigar next week and talk about if this team peaked earlier if they're peaking at the right time.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to learn.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_01]: But they needed these ones to fall club in the next week.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_01]: But they needed these ones to even be a contention, though.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and hey, I wouldn't need another one over the weekend against the royals.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_03]: But I am happy they salvaged a series by winning one on Sunday.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_03]: But this is, you are now officially at the crap or get off the pot stage of the season.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_03]: We've hinted at it a thousand times.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_03]: I probably sent on the show a thousand times, they're at the crap or get off the pot stage.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_03]: But they somehow just always walked this tight rope of being like right online and contention.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to go on a trip, but you should just, you've got to bury the Tigers.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it is.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Blue Jays are right there in the race a little bit, like they're grouping up a tiny bit.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_03]: cut them out and then bam, stop at the title.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to do a credit check on you, right?
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously not personal credit, but I'm wondering, like, is it too early for Jack to give some credit to our guy Chris Anthony Eddie?
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, or, or, or, or, or, or, you know, making the trades of the deadline bringing up your boy Travis Bazaar and I like, what is your story?
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let me say.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_03]: Do I give him credit for digging himself out of the hundred-foot hole he put himself in?
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yes.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_03]: Do I think that it's a spending money at any point in the last three off seasons?
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not signing Shane Bieber for 12 million and then trading him for a prospect and not signing him back?
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_03]: There are things they could have done or money they could have spent better over the last couple of years where they're here only.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I would still say, yeah, because man, I mean, like I, I'm the biggest no one jumps down in the world.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_03]: He was our fourth highest paid player.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_03]: And so July, and he didn't even play in the major leagues this year, you know?
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like, they did, they didn't spend money in Austin had just was it.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_03]: So no credit.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_01]: So no credit.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, there's credit.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_03]: There's credit for building, there's, there is credit for digging yourself out of that hole, but you still dig your dug yourself into the hole.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_02]: Is that fair Ryan?
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_02]: You kind of see them saying what's out a little bit?
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's very fair, and I just want to ask you before you move on, Jack, have we ever seen or I guess you?
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Cause you pay attention a lot.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_02]: Seeing such an intense second half turnaround, like you're talking to 25 average to 376.
- 1:16:05[SPEAKER_03]: Flugging, nearly doubling, you're slugging.
- 1:16:07[SPEAKER_03]: From what, like an individual player?
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_03]: Man, no, because I feel like we're the also a lot of guys just also off of playing 162 games getting tired over every single day.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_03]: There's a ton of guys, so I feel like, hey, the first half, it's like, bam, out of nowhere, this guy can hit the ground running.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_03]: Then maybe they teeter off closer to their career average, even below that in the second half.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_03]: can I go with a picture, though, and I could be wrong about this.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember how shaky this guy's first half stats were.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe his first half stats were even just league average.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_03]: But I do, I will say the run that you ball though him.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_03]: In the in the 2013 second half of that season was one of those with the Rockies.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, so we betrayed it for him in 2012 anticipating that we were going to be good in the next couple of years after that.
- 1:16:48[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe not even for that exact year.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was 2011.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was 2012.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_03]: But his 2013 when we got into the wildcard game and lost to Alex Cobb in the race, he had a crazy second half.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Jack, for you, wrap up here last thing.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_02]: How big is this upcoming Toronto Blue G series that starts tonight right on your tails?
- 1:17:05[SPEAKER_02]: They're a game in a half back.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Orioles got back to 500 for the first time since April.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then they straight out of the, and they're like, we'll start with, maybe the catch of the year.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then the Ranger, same thing, a game in a half back.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_03]: Here you get to the Rangers when last like they have they were they won three in row entering yesterday Well, they're game and have back, so I'm assuming not because they're two games under five hundred But jack you have a chance to gain that lead up and then bury a team in the blue jays who are fighting for that final spot Yeah, absolutely and I think I don't again I don't know the interpersonal relationships with these people, but I would have to assume maybe there's not even bad blood Any time you have what it seems like half the blue jays rostered
- 1:17:40[SPEAKER_03]: used to play for the Guardians was probably teammates with a lot of these guys.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_03]: There's got to be a little bit of upping the antsy just solely off of that as well.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_03]: Or even like, hey, we left this early Klamak guy go.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_03]: He went to the Ulster game.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Travis Pazana.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the new second basement or middle infield there.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to go out there and prove something.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_03]: I want to show that I was worth the first overall pick.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_03]: So I think the aluminum playing the guys who used to be on your team that went to the world series last year.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, yeah, trying to bury them in a wildcard race or at least build some separation.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're at the point now where it's like,
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_03]: You really can't zoom in too much on one game.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_03]: Am I gonna say the world's on fire if they lose tonight?
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be the first to admit it, but it's just series by series.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it's almost all besides two of the series.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Left this year, I'm gonna seems under 500.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_03]: You just gotta go out there and make your head back.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds good to me.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_03]: That is all the time we have for today's question.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I do have more time.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_01]: We have more time.
- 1:18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Just a little off the, do you think it's a, if the Cleveland Brown scrolled out 11 captains, what would be your reaction?
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Mine with the guys on our roster, I would freak out.
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, now what if I'm with a ram is doing a lot of things for the rams story no story big deal No crazy not crazy see here's my thing if you was sport where you can do season A's doing something like that makes sense like in hockey Normal team has a C and two ways, but some teams do two season three days Whether it's what is this season a is what is this captain alternate captain.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_03]: So like the captain is more responsible.
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he is like in terms of like what you have to do on the ice with the referees and stuff.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_03]: But if you was like that or like maybe four of them were designated for the coin toss every week, yeah, I get that, but I don't know, man.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think it's like, do you think we're getting away?
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like I feel like the meaning of certain things are losing its value.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like when you talk about captain, you talk about leaders, you talk about goats, robo's, all of that stuff.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like 11 captain, that's a damn football team.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's a whole different time.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's literally a whole full, but like,
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Jack, you do such a great job, you know what, you're just going to be captain, you don't Ryan, fuck it, you're captain too, bring Phil, bring him back and you're going to be a captain.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody gets a captain.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just feel like captain should be reserved for the top of the top, not all freaking 11, give me a break.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_03]: I love it, say thank you for tuning in to the Big Play Cleveland show.
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_03]: We had a lot of phone hope you guys did too.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be back tomorrow at noon Matt Fontana Ryan Tyler.
