- 0:04[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need one joint account?
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: Do we go 50, 50?
- 0:08[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to finances and relationships, we have to ask this conversation.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: And if something gets uncomfortable with it, something that needs to be said, just send them this episode.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: So you're not to say it.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Be out, Deja, what up?
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: What's going on here today another beautiful friday to talk about financials How was your week financially?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: John don't get to the back or had a great week.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Great week.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I can see about a smile Great week.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: We got to that chicken.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: How was your financial week, man?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: As I'm sitting here, I just received a 30k wire, so it's a great week.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, yeah, I like that.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, I don't think I got a 30k wire today.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think I got a 30k wire today.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: So, topic of conversation today, man, how do we handle finances and household beyond your marriage?
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: 100%.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: Dasia, you are shocking.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's it for me.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: The question.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you pay for everything?
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you know, that's interesting question because if you ask me, my response will be different than what my kids would give you.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: Also.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: If you ask my kids who pays for everything, they're going to say,
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, mommy pays for everything because mommy does all of the shopping.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: She does all of the Uber eating.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: She does everything that needs to get dead.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: They just don't see who is paying for it.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: And they don't need to.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't need to.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's all good.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yes, um, I, I am the soberer winner.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, my wife is a retired esthetician.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: So she doesn't work.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: Um, she has enjoyed her role, uh, uh, retiring in the last, you know, few years or so as a, just a stay home.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Does she know how much money you have?
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: She knows exactly how much money we have.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: And she knows that because just in case, if the good lawyer calls me home, she needs to know what to do when to do and how to do it.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, she has access to the call.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: She does.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: She's listed as beneficiary now that I'm taking out to the banks.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because when I go, I just, you know, I go to certain banks.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so they'd be like, hey, Mr. D, I don't know me.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I took her to the banks to introduce them.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you know, in any event of, she dig a deal, know who she is, and they won't give her her time.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: And, hello, I'm Mary.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: We are been together 15 years, going on seven years.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Did it start off that way?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: Where?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I obviously didn't start off that well, Mary, did it start off join the counts?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: We still don't have a join the count.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we said I would join again.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I joined again.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have a join again.
- 3:00[UNKNOWN]: We said.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, she'll know what you got to go to.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: She'll know about that already there.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: She's right.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: She'll know.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: She'll know.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: She knows, because I want to tell her.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm limited.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: I say it's even.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so my wife is she's not good with money.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: She does it's not her thing.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: She don't care.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: She don't.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: She don't care.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: She does not care.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like as long as she's just she's kept she's cool.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: She don't care about the extra stuff.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: She just don't she's not into it.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like I remember Like one of my best financial months and week
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: uh... may like five hundred and maybe it's like five nineteen or something like that in a week we'd spend five hundred thousand and a week and i text my wife and i show the order to prove in all of the transactions and she was like oh that's what's up and i'm like
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Ben, what image yet?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, where is the margin being?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like, where is it?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you're supposed to be sounding off the lawns.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, so like, I'm in my office.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like, dang, this, you know, we doing good.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so she and the bear room is all sitting and it's like a nice little walk.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: But I would expect her to came in and it all right.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: But that's just, my wife is not that, she's not that kind of person.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: She money is not going impress her, the just, just not who she is.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, okay, you know, okay.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Daisy, where are we at?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: You and Bay, are you kept?
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the same, first.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say that, I will say that, okay.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: And it's kind of so I was sitting here laughing, but for me, I am the bread winner, but just because I'm the bread winner, doesn't mean that I'm taking control of everything.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's no.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm CEO, Bobby, this is not by relationship.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: So does he work?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: No, so we worked together.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So to be honest, he's had a huge transition by dating me, about like just in lifestyle period.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So he came from the streets and one part about that that I do like is he have a hell of a hustle little, you know, because that's all he knew.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I had a standard that came with date me.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: So today you have to lead at my home because I have a whole different life that I can't contribute to that.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can't be a part of that.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: So he had to do a clean slate to even date me, you know.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: And he understood it because I daily, I mean,
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't understand it, then I don't know what that's like.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: He really come on.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he didn't want to jeopardize what I had going.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: So he understood the bigger picture of it all.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: And he honestly wanted more for himself.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: He just didn't have, he did not get to it.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he didn't know what he would do to get to that stage.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I feel like I shine light on him and help him.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's more explained his mind to different things and also by being around me, he got to see a lot more.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: He got to understand things from a whole different perspective.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: So with my business, it's like, well, yeah, I can go start a business, but his goal was never, I need to match her.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: it was I need to be able to contribute to her.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I need to be able to enhance her to make her comfortable is never been.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: We always say with my role and stuff.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I can show you how to take suit figures.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I can teach you how to take seven figures.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: I can show you how to scale your brand.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: His is never me.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I can do the same.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's let me do what I need to do to contribute and take control
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: So he works in the tax business and you're right.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: So he can't, yeah, he contributes fully to the tax business with marketing and even down to the recruitment side and how do y'all pay each other?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: How do you business pay?
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: We, so we do have like just different.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: We have set salaries that's going to go towards this.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, if you don't work, you don't eat.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're contributing, you get paid if you don't, you don't.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: So he don't contribute.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: He'll get paid.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: He'll get paid.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: So that's how it is.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Because for me, it's a set salary for me.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I say, pay myself a certain portion.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm a 21st, set man worker.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like I will, I don't have a set skills will work.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: So by doing that, yeah, mine is auto.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: you know, but by the fall, if you decide to take two weeks off because you're contributing your time to something else, then I hope there's something else that's paying you.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: So when it comes to business, I'm going to tell you the reasons they were like the relationship is different.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the question.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: Y'all there together, yes?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: When it's time for that mortgage, you're renting it, who paints it?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we're on this one here.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: So the mortgage is in my name.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like that's my responsibility because it's mine until we are married, you know, until then like when I'm married then I plan to do things jointly and I just don't feel like by being in a relationship date, you know, you tell me I was shaking.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: by shaking that you know that's his responsibility to pay my mortgage because let's say we don't work out we're not mere you know we don't have the commitment we have the commitment in our relationship but not by marriage so I wouldn't I mean I don't feel like he's obligated to pay it right now yeah what are you doing I get questions let's do this we
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: So he moved in with you, basically, because you had the house, he moved in with you.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: You already were paying the mortgage.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: So he gets to live with you, but he doesn't have to contribute to the mortgage at all.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't contribute to the mortgage.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't say he didn't do everything else outside of the mortgage.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: What does he pay for?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: The other expenses of the house.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Light, gas, water.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: any, the main, yeah, I feel like this equal, like whoever, whoever, yeah, whoever, go.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see the mortgage, that's a big one, because all the best of mortgages though, but that's always like the biggest expense.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: You own house or you read?
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-oh, so that's why I say,
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: So he, so he fat K for the free.
- 9:26[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: So he's put it like that.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was just, I'm just saying.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Cause like, they are somebody watching this.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna see him be like, hello.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to be trying to like, trying to figure out how they can live for free.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's free, lift me.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Cause everything else is nowhere coming nowhere near the close to five cabers.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's free, man.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like bro.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: Look, look cable, be a little Netflix, little Hulu.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what we talk about, look, even if he did the groceries by herself, what we talk about, fit to you on it.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: But he's my he is.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, he's supporting the growth of the business though.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: But it shouldn't be a double standard there.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, so it's no problem if there's a man Let's say Darius.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Darius is single.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know this.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know a situation But if he was with this y'all been together for a while.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: What's the story?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: So we've been dating since high school like we you know We dated a long time They had a long time This last stretch how long you're been together
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: about three years.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Three years.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: Darius single man.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: He finds his girly falls in love, moves her in.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's paying, he's paying the rent mortgage, he's paying everything.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: And we wouldn't say nothing about, we wouldn't consider the woman living for free.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but all double standards are not equal.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: They're not.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: They just, like, as a man, we're supposed to provide and we're supposed to protect.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, no.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: What if he has, okay, so this is,
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I want it.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let's all fall for you to be the boss of the week.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be honest, it's not that he hasn't tried to take.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want nobody had a control over.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: it's a control thing for me.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: So my thing is it's when Mary didn't get things will change.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like with that then now, I'm gonna, I might just sit out of way back then.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like being that it anymore, I feel like back first off, she came.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: But one you need to change too.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: It ain't, it ain't like y'all getting married and he just started making 10x with you in all work like that.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, I feel like it's not a problem for me, you know, and I am the breadwinner.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: So if this is the house, I pick, I pick, I want it, this is my, I don't mind contributing that, but you're not going to live here free.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: So he contributes in other ways, so where I don't mind paying that one.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so can we fast forward, now we're married?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: What happens now that we're married?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: What happens?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: What is the same thing, bro?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: No, you, you see, right?
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not saying it.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is my husband now.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: So what?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: It just with the pin on the situation.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like...
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: money, I mean, money matters for sure.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like as long as we had the understanding as far as I had a contribution goes, because he may bring in a surplus of people to my business to where that $5,000, I made that off of one business client.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I can't complain about that.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like so I feel like the only difference is being that the business is mine and he contributes heavily to the business and things that I'm getting at
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, all right, so let's just so just I'm just trying to get it out.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to get it out.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to get some clarity.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: So let's just say he just says, all right, I don't want to contribute to your business.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: I want to I just want to start my own business.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do my own thing.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not quite, the business ain't quite working out.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's been like, nah, months, he's still trying to figure this thing out.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's still living, he's still good to, he good.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, I ain't no figure now.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I already had a flat like the social business.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't have nine months to figure it out in not contribute.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, I don't like that answer either.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't want your side.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: See?
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: I was all your side for a set.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: You have to change.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what I, I think.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: whether you're a man or a woman, the first thing is, do we love each other?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: And how are we gonna make this life work together?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I just feel so bad for hiring women, bro.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because, uh, thank you for the... Yeah, I feel bad for you, man.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: Because, one, we've, you may have been raised your whole life that a man is supposed to be the provider.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: The man who's raised the whole life, he's supposed to be the provider.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_02]: He meets a woman that's providing.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: And one, he could feel a certain way and almost feel like he's competing with you.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: And if he's not, if he's cool with it, is people like Dion does make him feel bad of not providing?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I feel, so where does the love play?
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: And like, we wanna have a happy life together.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think the upbringing has a lot to do with it because just off of the past few weeks, you know, with us talking and being telling us how he got, you know, he explained deeper into why he felt how he felt about certain situations and he spoke on how he wanted to provide for his family.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that was something he felt obligated to do in a way.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: And for me, I was raised around me who were the same way, but it came with a control of a little bit of control with it.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like, and for me,
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I remember my grandparents, he was, my grandpa was the breadwinner, and him and my grandmother went, you know, go a little back and forth, and remember the argue in front of this for real, but I remember she used to just get quiet.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I was saying, you ain't gonna say nothing back to him.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: And she will like, I'm not worried about it.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I'm like, I think for me, I'm okay with it because it's a kind of like, okay, you can't just shut me up.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just, this.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a women out here that, like to your point, they deal with it because we're all stick on go.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: What should we go?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I know somebody who she says she has four friends that they are married that they really don't want to be in a relationship But they can't afford to lead the relationship.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have the they don't have the money Okay, so so your thought is the man is supposed to provide and if he doesn't there's something wrong with that picture
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't I don't know how I got doesn't I don't know I don't know how that I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't Yeah, I said like it's he doesn't have the earning potential as the woman
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: But what if he doesn't have his way?
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: If I was working in her company, I'm paying that mortgage.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: I put the money she gives you.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: What the salary does she allow you to do?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't make sense.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't make sense.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, right now, my wife is contemplating coming out of retirement, right?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: And do a her thing, I'm like, the first thing I'm thinking is, is like, we had this conversation like, what are you going to do with the first money you get?
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm like, like, what you're going to do with your money, girl, what you, you taking me out, what you, what you're going to do with your money, what you're going to do with your money.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she already said, but I'm just like, you know, what you do with your money?
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then she was like, well, I didn't want to tell you, but I'm thinking about maybe I could, you know, maybe I could pay the mortgage, okay, but it, again, why would she think that it was a man, why would I think to do that for my family?
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: That would make sense.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean if again if the shoes are the rows reverse if I'm working and I'm and I'm making some money I need to be Panful I'm like I don't I wouldn't be a fan for some yeah, he is crazy.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's not.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's not so he's looking at the mortgage because the mortgage is the biggest Yeah, but you have
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: You tell him, I can't take the meat, so you feel like I should just flip it.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, no, you know what?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: So you think he should pay a mortgage, he's not on it.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: And here's what I know.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's not paying anything else, you know.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I got my own stuff.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, yeah.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: So essentially, he lives with free.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like living for free.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's a door today.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's a, it's a, it's a door you can go out of too.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, like he ain't, he ain't got a leg to stand on.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he, he, he, he, he's a, he can live with, but he has, but like I say, I feel, I don't feel like this is going to be a long.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't always been where I'm in.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this is the beginning of my, like I'm still on the beginning side of my successful part of my business.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: So he has come, we have come from an apartment together where he did pay the bills and we, I just, it's just the mortgage part right now.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: I was okay with taking that responsibility.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to ask because it's not right.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that important like they have the things that you're taking no trash, I don't know that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't do it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: She not taking up $1,000.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't do a lot.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Who are you?
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: The dishwasher in the house is a claim.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: Who put the dishwasher in the dishwasher though?
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Me, I do that.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: Who does the cooking?
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Me.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: Who does the cleaning?
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: We, I think we are got OCD.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: So the house stays clean, but I have a clean account.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it's a lot of stuff I don't.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I do because I feel like I'm the woman, and that's what I suppose to do.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I also feel like when it comes to putting stuff together, moving stuff, I don't have to do.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he still does that.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like he does that, so I feel like at the same time.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let me say this.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: The dynamic, like cutting the grass, ill, let's say.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know you, you know, I'm cutting the grass.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: No, we do it.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's exercise sometimes.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: We can't, we're from the country.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we're used to doing it outside.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good cut that grass.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now, let's contribute to this conversation.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say them.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: I can bet him before.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: I like him.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good guy.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's my boy.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's cool.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to figure out the dynamics.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about financial Fridays.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: We just talk in.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is something that's hard to take into consideration.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: So this is something I've had to discuss with my family because I just told you the type of me and I was raised in the area.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like in relationship, sometimes the role is changed.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it can, you can go from a bread with a loser job, and now you're going through, like you said, nine months of figuring stuff out what are you gonna do?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: And at that point, the woman should step up, right?
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, why is it not okay for me to step up in the beginning till you figure it out to where you can handle that?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I ain't gettin' out, I ain't no.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not against that but I just look at the situation and that just that's not that's not what it is the situation.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's like cool We just and it here's where I am.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you in regards to saying and with you as well We're we're gonna do what makes the relationship work for here.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's all that matter because if I love you You love me
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: that we got a way about who Pan will be as long as who's ever's contributing.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, I was raised there from me and I'm a different type of man.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just questioning and acquiring based upon who I am and I was raised.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Here's a crazy thing.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't own the house.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, so, him paying the mortgage is paying off her house.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: And we don't know when the marriage thing's gonna happen.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: It might be together.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's one a year, it's an house, it'd be paid off and he'd been paying the mortgage and something happened and he got a leave.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: And her house paid off and he even wrote it as mortgage down.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, this segment is about to test and people are giving me this.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: There's some guy sitting here like,
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: What there's some guy sitting here right now he's he's he's upset listening to this because he like I'm paying the mortgage on the house that I don't No, I'm not even on it name ain't even on it.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: So now they got to go do a quick claim.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: D And like that he like wasn't quick claim.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I wonder I don't know if I Don't know if The mortgage I think the mortgage is in my name
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: because when my wife at the time, she had a job and I'm a entrepreneur at that time, I didn't have no time to turn it.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: So my wife might own this house, bro.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Which is good.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: Which is your wife.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I pay it because if she ever leave, she'd take off the house.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: She'd have to.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she'd take off the house.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the kids, anyway.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I don't know.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: I need to, I want to find out.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so let's shift this a little bit.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe you put it in your home.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can't see on them.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta live in the studio.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll tell the people you want to be with you all the time, right?
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: You say, you know, if you're mad, so we don't have kids together either.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: And this is something I factor in because we're not married.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I didn't want everything.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I could put, we could have did a mortgage, she had no.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: We not mere, I don't want that jointness until we make that still.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: And reason being is because if something happens to me, I want to make sure, like, my son is okay.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: I want, you know, and like you said, if something happened between you and your wife, she gets the house for the kids, you know, there'll be, there'll have a roof over there.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, I don't care about him.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what happens to him?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just like why I start all of these things like, we had talked about, I don't know if this was before, after we got started about the joint bank accounts and things.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have access to it.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: why we have access to your baby.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not even married.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, is that right?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we haven't got the same account.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't that how she asked me like, yo, so I think she asked me like, yo, what's in the stock account?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh no, we don't need, we don't even need that, that conversation.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: However, when we did together our companies, when I had to restructure my company, she owns a percentage of every company.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: One reason is, what it's a strategy for obviously having an ownership of the strategy is, if someone ever comes at me, they can't necessarily take what I own because I'm not the sole owner.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: My wife's on.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: So my tech strategist is saying, like, and don't quote me on this show, that's just how we put that again.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a small percentage, but also the next question is, do y'all have to pre-knuck?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's a really good question.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't know real quick.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: When y'all get married.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: We've had this discussion.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Which one of that will pre-knuck?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: What's so crazy about this?
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay for a woman to say, yes, you would get one because she got money, but it's terrible for a man to say yes, he would get one.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't say that was terrible.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, back to the question.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: Do y'all have a prenut?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: No, we don't.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel like, and you have a worker.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody gonna agree to disagree with him.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like if, if you get a prenut, I think that, and again, people just agree to disagree.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think that if you get a prenut, I think you go on into the marriage.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: with the notion or the idea or the possibility that we ain't gonna work out.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not like, who gets married?
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Who gets married to maybe think that marriage ain't gonna work out?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I didn't get married, saying, I do, but I know that it's a possibility.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I do, like, yeah, I do, but babe, just in case, saying it's like, I didn't get married,
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: I got married with the intentions of being with this person.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fair enough now again, I know some happens, but that's why I didn't do one.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's still, when we got married, I was broke as hell, right?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: See, that's been the way to bring my, and again, even still now I was still, I don't care, like I don't want to do that.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like I want to make sure that if we have to go I separate, I want to make sure you goochy, like I want to make sure you go.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think as a male, you should feel the way, especially with how you were brought up, you know, I can understand that from his point of view.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: For me though, I feel like with the prelude is not saying, oh, when you leave you not taking it, that's not what it would say.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like when it comes to ownership of, for instance, this business that I built nobody gave it to me.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't come
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: So being an instance to where if we were married and we separated, you take half of everything, I built it.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: But to say we can self in agreement to we're okay.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: You get a portion of this to keep the livelihood because you were a part of this.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I will be okay with that.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: So a prelude doesn't necessarily mean that you're leaving with nothing.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's all about structure of if this was to happen.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: we're okay because it's an agreement that we're both making and that's not to say too well once we're married we make transition to business or start a new business together now at that point all that is half and half at that point more so so it's just really about just setting up a little structure just in case because things can't happen.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah if if I had to meet my wife today or I'm at now we would want a hundred percent
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: And again, like you said, the prenat isn't, oh, that means you don't get nothing.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: It is say something like, you're in time, this, this prenat self-destructs in 25 years of us being married.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: I question, Dan.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: How about this?
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: How about, how about we talk, a step of always talking about prenat?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: How about we talk about postnat?
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: about that.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you're okay with a pulse note.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: What is the pulse note?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's after you say that it's the same thing you just have an agreement out there.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: You'll say that the ball right?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just say it.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like we always talk about before.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: What about now that it's now that everybody gets the money now we live.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: How about we talk about how things would go.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's not still.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that's because they're now you're giving somebody the motive to make this It's the same thing with a printer.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know what's going to happen Especially if you didn't come in with it because if you if a man who let's just say
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they get lit, like me and my wife, I get lit with her help, like on the way up, right?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: So then before we get married, I say, oh, I need you saying it's prudent.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now she's first in kind of way, but then I'm like, if I, like now I could say, I can leave you and get you nothing.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like I could say on the prudent and say basically like that you get nothing.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: You got agreed to say that you get nothing and the event that we separate.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: So now I can the back of my head, I could say.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just, let's just make it some random up because my wife is amazing.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: She's gorgeous.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I can say, all you fell off.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like you gain 50 pounds and now you ugly.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out of here.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Because I sat at the pruna, but now I got me and said, I'm for the lead you for the next little pretty.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same thing.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the same thing.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's negative before or then you do a post-nip is neck.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's still nice.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: It gets molded.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you, because you don't know who you're marrying.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: You have no idea who you're married.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: You should know who you're married, bro.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see this as one.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'll.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: But we actually do want to be married and be together.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: We figured it out because people always say, you went in that, yes, you know, yes, we'd say, now, you, because you got married into a uni, you know, you was married.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: You ain't even know the man middle name, you ain't know her so cute, you ain't know her favorite color.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: We know what's going on.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: They may be why they got the pre-notteau.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly what you got the pre-notteau.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what you got the pre-notteau.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, who you was married.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: I knew who I was married.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: I knew who I was married.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: I was sorry you didn't know you didn't.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: Because the person that you married is not the same person.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't get it.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: This year, that's the last year.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: She's a whole other person.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about no, no.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, no.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, because everybody changed it like a year like before we get me I know why so I knew her family He's to like I knew she was and I get the whole change and evolution my wife is not the same person I'm very for sure I'm so sorry.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: She looks different.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: She acts different.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: She's totally different person I'm not the same.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about at least knowing who I'm married.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's people that give like
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: I did an interview and the guy posted it on a desirable truth on his page.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: The guy that sent Miami who interviewed people and he just asked me about my marriage and just my relationship and the money that I made.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: And that interview went super viral and there were people in the comments arguing like, what took you so long to marry her?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: I bet my husband out there won't hear it.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that good for you, I remember my wife in six months, you know, first time I saw I knew that bro, good for you bro, but I know you didn't know that woman out there in six months.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know for a fact you didn't know that man out there a year.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, to the now.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right, listen, man.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just taught the somebody they're getting divorced after 19 years.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: People change, situations change, people of all, people grow.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: If something happens to you, you know, listen, if something happened to you, God forbid, something happens to you.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Where you can't even wipe your own butt.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know how tired she is going to get of that situation change.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm ready to put up I think I did think I'm ready to put up because you 100 I think I did too yeah we don't know until happens so I'm not I'm not I'm not mad at a pre you know at the time I'm just in love and I'm not thinking let's have some sort of negotiations like all right let's just get married and we got married super quick yeah
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: But I still feel today, I made a good decision.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think we're gonna break up.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need a post-note.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't even have that conversation with her because we here now, I would rather, at this point, I would rather just give her half everything I got because she earned it.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: But she wouldn't want to pre-not.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: With what I, if I wasn't married and I met my wife today and we were dating, and I still felt the same love, we're signing a pre-not.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: okay so let's just say you would say right now she would you would want to have have what would the prenupt say she gets what again i'd prenupt go this prenupt self-destruct when we've been married for twenty years twenty years we look you deserve half you dealt with me for this long or you have some sort of agreement where you get
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I want to make sure you have a house, card, whatever, things change, depending on the kids, if the kids are young, I would think through scenarios and we could have a sober conversation, sign this document, and then we go our separate ways.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: because if you have multiple houses, multiple homes, multiple cars, it's like, okay, you know, it's just really a strategic conversation because in the not saying that people get married without the intent of being together forever, it's just a scenario like this can't happen.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: Things are possible, you know, it's you may do something I just can't tolerate, or I can't come back.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: You can't come back from this type breaker for me.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: If that happens, I don't want to self-destruct, you know, I don't want to just lose everything that I've worked for because of a selfish decision you made.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: For sure, absolutely.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: So I've got life insurance or your wife?
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: So your life insurance or you, yeah, for sure.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you got life insurance or you have it on me.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: But you're not there.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're not there.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're not there.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're not there.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're not there.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: You're not there.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're not there.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're not there.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so you need to wear it.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny, bro.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just say it.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: It just really depends.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: It could depend on different things, but if you ace to take me out, I'm not paying the bill.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why would I pay a bill if you ace to take me out?
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if I ace like, I really want to go somewhere and he's like, I'm tired.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, I really want to go.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: OK, it's like, I feel like I'm asking you.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that's okay for me.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see a problem with you.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: I like, I love the child half.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I was a hater of crying.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I've just talked with you.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: We just haven't, we just haven't commented on it.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just, I like this.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: So what about, what about, like, I just want to go out to the country.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: And he, like, I didn't get paid last week.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I want to go out to the country.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: We not going to go out for week by week, like, week by week.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: You need the highest situation, though.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he, I'm, he not broke.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the difference.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be different.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's different.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: Huh?
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how much you pay in it.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, so this is the thing.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't come into the relationship broke.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: He can't into the relationship.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: I told you where you carried him.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: So this is, I don't think I could date anybody.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, it's not even about just money.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you have to be ambitious.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have the desire to
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: want you have to match like we have to match in that way.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't feel like you have I have to date a guy with a certain amount of money, but I do know I will not date a broke person.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it is for me.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel like you should be able to, you know,
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: Treat me nice.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: I like flowers.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I like certain things and it's a certain caliber I want me, but I'm not looking at you have to match me because at the end of the day I'm very independent.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to feel like I need you to survive.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to be 100% honest with you all.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: If my wife started, let's say it's some sort of the shores company or home healthcare company and she started doing 10 million a year, I work for you.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't care.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: So, Rob, that's my perspective.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's different.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not different.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's the same situation in the Asian.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's not.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: My man is dead.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it is.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: I would be 100% comfortable, bro.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't try to know it don't agree with him.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm at the crib.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: In a way it is.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: This man has made so much money in the last years.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: He deserves to take a seat if his wife is all of a sudden just gets lit.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't matter, it's time for him.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: You wasn't a bump, I'm not saying nothing about him or nobody.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna say like, if a guy is a bum, and he's doing nothing, it ain't his, bro, like you've been lit the whole time.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: And she's been able to just chill and have her soft life and just go and do what she wanna do.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now that she's lit, bro, relax.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a crazy back, I'm a chill.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to pay the mortgage for sure, but I still go put my feet up like, go ahead, enjoy have had it, but I'm going to pay the mortgage for sure, you can take all of the car notes, you can take all of the insurance, do all of that, I'm just going to pay the mortgage, I'm chilling.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: Don't actually for now.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you're shifting your ass and ass because in the beginning, you were like, I'm still going.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: But now you're saying you would, because that's because I put in so much work right now.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: We don't really, like, I don't feel like because I'm the sober.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really feel like there's a really capacity for me to just chill like that.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: And again, we had a conversation about, you know, you know, you got money, but it's just, that's just something that's anybody.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: But if my wife starts to make like, if my wife even made a half or a fourth of what I make now,
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think in that's why I say ill, it's like I say it's different.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's a difference if he was the bread winner and he went down and I picked up, but I'm basically looking at that from the beginning like okay, I might help him get to that point.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: So where he can be the bread winner and then I can't see but you know so it's just really a shift and I'm not counting him out now.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: Will I be in a relationship
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: meeting your goals and actually putting in work behind what you're trying to get to, to get to where you go, because I don't want to be the one that's doing this for it.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: So you're saying, you're saying, if you, this can't be a long, you're cold it now, but this can't be a long term situation.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: You won't be the bread of winter forever.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, but it's not even about bread when he doesn't have to make more money than me, but he has to be able to take more responsibility.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so without being there, it is different.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is a difference in marriage and... Ah, here's a question, if he proposed today, let me go.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: Are you accepting a proposal?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, wait.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I asked many of you saw here.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great question.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: If he proposed today, yeah.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_02]: You would.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: So you're not waiting for him to...
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: Turn it up.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very nice figure that out.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not waiting on him to prove to me that oh, I got six, you know, seven figures or anything like that.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not about it.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I say, it's not about the money, the exact dollar amount.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's about the motion behind it.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing to get there?
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: Where are your goals?
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing?
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right, but I'm saying if he's setting up the goals and he's in the position now.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: And again, I don't know the brother, but I'm sure he's on his own path,
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: Because only because you said this won't be a long-term situation.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to be I don't want to be in this situation forever.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Are you waiting to take that step of marriage Till he kind of figures out what his path is going to be
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah, I feel like before we could get married, he would have to have some type of foundation of what he's gone.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: Got it.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: So you'll set the proposal just we got it before.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I don't want to go on to marriage off of hope.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: I want to, I want you to have some type of, so it would be like a little security of, okay, because again, I would rather go into some San World, this was started and this had begun, and then it's saying, and then at that point,
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: You my life partner, we gonna figure it out together, opposed to me saying, well, you kept telling me you was gonna do this and you never did it.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I married you out for the hope of something you were gonna do.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't want that.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: And as a man, this is a conversation we've had.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: His pride, like we talked about marriage and things, but as a man, he told me that he wouldn't propose to me
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: got it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you to do you think it's okay.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say there's a young lady in the situation.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: She's the breadwinner at the time dating someone, you know, that isn't there yet and they're still trying to figure it out.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: That person at their dating, the man asks the woman,
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: I want to start this business.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to need a little 12K, like little 15,000 to get started.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: She's got the money.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: Before I ask you that question in scenario, what are your thoughts?
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's funny, man.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I need to okay to get a business started.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: To get a business started, I need you to invest in this dream.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: Oh wow.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think it depends on the dynamic of the relationship because they couldn't have just met at all.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like we need to have been together for, like he should have been with her for a while before.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's crazy.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, this situation, this situation.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so like we've been together three years.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: And together three years, knowing each other forever.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I think it should be okay for him to ask.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: because that twoke could turn him into a, like it could turn, he could go crazy.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then now that could be the thing that potentially sits her down, because it could go one or two ways either he could give him the money, he could get lit, and go crazy, or she could not get him the money, and then he could go be like, dang, I wanted to be, I thought I was with somebody who believed to me, so that he leaves, and then there's another chick that gives him the twoke, and he's lit now.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: And now they lit together, and she's on the outside, looking at like, dang,
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: just I fumbled a good one because I didn't believe him and I didn't want to support him like that.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: So if we're actually for two okay, make sure you get that man that money okay.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, we recently did.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: Not as 12 case scenario, but it was more okay.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: I have this vision and you broke it down to me, you know, we just started a truck and comfortable together.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: And there's basically, you know, what they'd line out to be and where we're from, the truck industry is crazy.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it was more so if you have the plan, the vision behind it and it makes sense.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's just like, if one of my brothers asked me to do the same thing, if it makes sense.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: So we literally just did something like that and it's working.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: So that goes, I didn't say that in the beginning, because I wanted the conversation to go how it did.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: But this is working in that could be his own language.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't have to do anything, but we invested together.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: And now I get to see back.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: and let him handle it, they could be he's.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: That Dionne is my sergeant of stick ladies.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's great.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, but I like your perspective because men should step up.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, here inherently, right?
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: We are providers.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there is a sense of pride that a man has being able to take care of his family.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: financially.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: We need to go out there in the household and grow it.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I do believe in woman deserves to be the queen that she is.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just all situations don't map out right then and there.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like one of my men's or CJ, let's tell you, I remember he was traveling city to city because his wife's job kept moving around.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: And he's managing E.T.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: to hip hop preacher.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: And he's, you know, I guess he'd make a money off the book sales and stuff like that, but it ain't lit like that.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: I was paying him $300 a month, as a coach.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: And he's sitting down for a week for hours, every single week.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: But his wife was a breadwinner.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: but things changed, eventually things changed.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: He took our off the job.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: And now he's that provider.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: It remains so, it's all in a body, like trick you out your relationship spot.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_02]: Not enough.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just asking questions today.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then to, um, I feel like for me, I came from a single mom and I watched my mom work three jobs at a time.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: I watched, you know, my grandpa was a brick.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he taught my brothers how to beat me.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: But for my mom, I seen a different version of how a woman can provide.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that too like I say, it's a control thing for me.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but in the sense of a relationship, I want to be CEO
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: He got like that.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, y'all last last question.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to make this too quick, too.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say a woman is the breadwinner.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: And the guy, they, me, fall in love.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: She's the breadwinner.
