- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: The bucks have almost reached the first full week of training camp.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be there tonight whenever they go against bucks.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_02]: Offense defense will have some instant reactions later on, but we have some winners and losers to begin camp.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk some bigger may feel how that he perform also too.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: Some of those losers, what is that?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Is it offense, defense, where could that specifically be coming from?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: We've got some rookies to also talk about including Ruben Bane, Jr. got our first look at him with the pads on along with Jalen Daniels, the rookie from Kansas showing some good signs so far.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: We're also going to make some prize picks as per usual and then we're going to jump into a conversation regarding the contract negotiations between
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: Vita Baya and the box and the latest on Baker may field with me this morning is Caleb Skinner our lead and veteran writer at Caleb Skinner at buckshainit.com and then Riverwell's our lead editor at B.G.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: gentlemen.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Good morning.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have a practice right now but we will end about less than seven hours as the guys have an eating practice.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty cool stuff.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hearing it's date three for you guys that are rowed in inside the IPF.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that's interesting with all the rain and whether that's going on there, but um, you know, get the guys prepared to play not win, I guess, and then the super doe over there in New Orleans.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, cool.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are being able to have that night when I know there's probably about there's usually one every single time every single training camp that we've been to.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: So That's always fun to get in there, but it's in your body, been in there.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Probably not going to be as fun.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be cool for the fans.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's when we get to see a lot of the fans kind of show up.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, since there's no work going on and things to that nature.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be pretty lively and I'm sure in there and yeah, just continuing to see how the guys are, you know,
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: paving their way to either try to make the roster and how they're looking on some of the guys coming out injury like David Walker, which I'm sure we'll talk about him as well.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited so far.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: We've kind of cleared the injury bug a little bit.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing too severe.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: So that's great.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back, river.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: You have pest control on site right away.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: We began.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: They're all good now though.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: So they're all good.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: So the pest control is great.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: Ready for another one.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Ready for another one.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's nonstop.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: We'll have a break.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: We say we have a break.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's really a players.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we enjoy being out there.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: So there's no complaining on our end.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: The rain has been certainly a hassle.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think too for the bucks.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be out there on the field more.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: They want to get adjusted to that heat because it's certainly coming.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: We I've never been at a training camp.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: like rain like this, I don't think we've ever had a practice where it's actually rained and for about three days straight it's raining and the morning monsooning yesterday was absolutely insanity but it was cool to actually be out there for the first 30 minutes certainly when the offensive line, when against the defense of line we actually got our first chance to take a look at first round pick, Ruben Bane because we really, you can't do a lot of e-vows from him when they're just wearing jerseys and shorts, you can't do that in the trenches,
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: So to have him go against Luke, get a key, and you had a chance to look at David Walker the first time in pads, which not only us, but also to Todd Bowles, who was really intrigued to see him as well.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get another glimpse of that tonight.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how much they're going to do there on that end, but you can tell, you know, these guys want to hit, Kate Otten said the same thing, you know, kind of felt like home whenever he was up there at Washington plain, you know, rainy.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: and Wendy had to play with the elements.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so it's been a pretty interesting start to camp.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a lot of winners.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think you have a whole lot more of winners on our list than we do losers, but we'll make sure we go through each one of those.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate all the love you guys have been showing us here on YouTube.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you're with us, throw in some comments, some questions, topics, and okayled has a few too.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Since he's not on site with us and he'll bring up some good.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: topics as well, but want to see you guys in the comments what you're appreciate y'all's supported time.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: So let's go and get started and you know I say we go straight into the winners because there was a lot of them and there's going to be plenty to discuss.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'll start off with one that I have listed here, and it's just going to be the overall look at the defensive line, and it's pretty funny, I say that, because Vida Vega has not been in this defensive line, but you look at guys like David Walker who has obviously gotten a lot of love the last.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: week, and then also to just the interior with Kalaja Kansi in there, Elijah Roberts, Aishon Robinson's Rochez as well.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot to like about this room, and I felt like certainly when the pads came on yesterday, there was no run game, there was guys getting to the backfield, and there would have been plenty of sacks, and Baker Mayfield was not too happy about it.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there was definitely a big defensive line presence across the O'Line.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of noted whenever we went to the media to talk the top bowls and then the three players that we got, uh, some of the back of O'Line guys were taken to the far side of the end zone and they were still doing drills.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, one of this, I think, but yeah, definitely big D-Line presence room.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Bane looks like he's getting a lot of good pressure.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: and then of course David Walker has been kind of the talk of the town a little bit across these first few days and I should say gotta wait to see how Jason goes and the lights come on, how's he gonna play?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: These are all really important, a lot of people are saying it will be three, it will be two, even.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but obviously see how he plays before right now looks pretty good bucks like him He's getting a lot of pressure there and I can't see got some got some some pressures there as well During that practice yesterday and then they before that had a bit of a jail break too So he's playing well, the festival is getting after it and the awesome ones kind of got to tighten up a jail a little bit Tristan works coming back will help with this
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: he's currently not practicing due to a hamstring injury, he suffered during conditioning, but yeah, just got to tighten up a little bit, a gel a little better, and that comes with playing with each other for the prime sense, you know, they hadn't done it at all last season due to injuries.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it's interesting, I mean, we've talked about this restructured defense of line and how excited we are about it, how scary it looks on paper and everything guys.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: So it's great to be able to see that it's great to see David Walker kind of bending in everything and moving like he was last year prior to that knee injury that he suffered, which is awesome, and without having beat of it in there.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: So like,
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Is this open up, you know, any realm of possibility that, hey, like, this trade request could become more thing, now that we're seeing putting it into practice.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then on top of that, like, we have seen, you know, room vein a little bit too.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: We did see him kind of get clamped up and one-on-one drill is going up against Luke Goodacky.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm sure that's, you know, kind of one of those rookie things moving forward.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: But like, how serious can we be about what the rookie's going to be able to
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, here is the video right here.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'll share with you guys of Ruben Bane, going against Lou Gettiqui yesterday.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I put out a list of guys that I wanted to keep a close eye on.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: And of course it was Ruben Bane.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: But Lou Gettiqui is always on the top of that list as well, just because he likes the pads on.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: He likes to be physical and he'll let you know too as well.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: And certainly once we get into that joint practice, I'm sure up there.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: and New York not so far away now, but yeah, I mean, this is where Rubin Bane is going to really learn really quickly.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: I wish also two Tristan Wersos out there as well.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I asked Rubin Bane yesterday, you know, who is on the offensive line, who has been really hands on with you, trying to, you know, give you some pointers and you pointed out Lou Gettake as being one of the first people that he has been picking his brain on and, you know, it's great.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: You can pick his brain off.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: off to the side and then go and try to go at it and battle with one of the top tackles personally to me and the league still is Luke Getticke just with the consistency that he brings to the table so yeah I mean this is where Ruben Bayon is going to learn but you could tell you know there was a few times yesterday where we're in team drills and he gets to the back field you're like oh okay and you see the glumpses and it's not like where I have to point out like Chris Braswell where you do that was going to take a little while and now it's taking a
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: Ribbon-Bane fits where this defense and Todd Bowles wants to do, and it's gonna be fun to watch more, but I thought this past rush was pretty significant because V2A is not out there too as well.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: So imagine adding that big boy, that big piece and there, and you know what V2 brings to this defense, so I've just been very pleased with what we saw.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it was pretty funny yesterday watching
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Baker and that IPF and that run game getting eaten alive.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: And he was pissed.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean he went over and I saw, you know, after they got done with their three plays in the second team went in, he went over to talk to Lugatiki, he went over to go talk to Malk.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know what he said, couldn't read his lips, but he wasn't pleased.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't happy with it.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: And he's been a very vocal guy.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk a little bit more about his performance so far.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: But I've liked it.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: And he's been way more of using his words out loud and I have been enjoying it.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I got to go ahead and do what has something else about the season to run the top of a defensive line here.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Elijah Cancie said his goal is to play all 17 games.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's a stretch, especially for for him and because he's missed so much time since arriving to Tampa.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Do we think that as a realistic possibility for him and what was kind of his demeanor when he was going through or like speaking with you guys at their media availability?
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, of course, that's what he wants to do, right, because he kind of needs to, and he's been dealing with injuries constantly throughout the entirety of his career in Tampa Bay so far.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's had some calf injuries and, of course, the epic total there that he had last year, I mean, yeah, it's possible, but he would think with his injury history, it's going to be really hard, right.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, these things also come into play when every talk about contractors and his ideals, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: The books trust Kansie enough to already pick up his bit your option.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's good, but if continues this boy that, oh, he can't stay on the field and get healthy.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: Not to mention the fact that Kansie got really is a passing player, only passing down player, only right?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he rushes to pass her extremely well.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna happen, but he's very small.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Will to be able to work in the run game.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: He is a niche sort of limited player.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you can be one of those of your really productive, but if you're not on the field and you're also one of those, then that's a problem, right?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, I do think that's going to be the big thing, er, is he's going to have to probably, he can say healthy and he can really contribute to the past version again, because he doesn't have much in the run, stuff in game because of his size, and he hasn't been able to say healthy.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, those are, those are two things that kind of got a little on his head if he wants to get a major contract in Tampa Bay.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, gotta stay out there.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like he says city did some work this off season in such and he was already doing some things last year I'd noticed after training camp practices specifically working on his calf and then of course just a Freak accident with the pectoral injury happens early on
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: last year.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: So the conference factor is there from him and man, I mean, if you don't have needed to begin this season or whatever ends up going there, man, you're going to have to rely a lot on can't see on the inside.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: I want to stick to the defense, go to offense in a minute, but let's go to linebacker.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like Alex Ann's alone he has just fit so well into this side of the ball.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Not only just the way that he's played, but also to the way that he's been a
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: There was one place specifically, Anzolony had, it was in the red zone and they had Bucky Irving going on a go route into the Enzolony.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Alex Anzolony's hip to hip was Bucky Irving causes the PDU, erases that touchdown potential there.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I asked Alex Andzel only after practice on that play.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: And he said, you know, they tried me.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm too old for this.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: But he's been striding stride.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's been in great spots.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Good in the coverage as well.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: And you match that too with a strong defensive line presence.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: That certainly helps makes you feel a lot better and makes your guys like Zion McCollum, who we'll talk about in a minute, makes their lives easier.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: But everything starts in the trenches.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like the linebackers have been feeding off of that along with.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: rookie linebacker, Josiah Trotter, which I thought had his best day yesterday.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he definitely had two TFLs right there back to back and he's already showing us that Mike Lionbacker.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: He can end up being that type of player for the box early now.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to be able to consistently be able to do that and then carry that momentum in their free season and as camp goes long.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: But it looks like everything that they wanted out of Trotter.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: He has so far.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the athleticism.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the power.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the ability to shoot the gap.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what they
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see tonight if he's able to kind of replicate that success and maybe some more reps from him in coverage and kind of playing around.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: So far it seems like survived Vossies is the starter in these reps so far and Trotter is a rookie I could change going forward but I'd like to see him rotate a little bit more in there with the ones and see what he can do.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: That seems like he's doing his job for what they drafted him right they talked heavily and the most recent in the current episode.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to behind the scenes look at how that process went by, you know, for decided to honor Spain specifically, how they wanted to fill those holes, you know, get those tackles for losses, things of that nature.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: So we're still going to have to wait to see how, you know, he kind of transfers that into coverage abilities and things of that nature, which will come with time.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure with him how he has to flip his hips, guard bigger guys if he needs to.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I'm, you know, very glad to hear that Alex Antsloney is kind of picking up right where Levantay David left off, right?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's huge and even if he's hit to hit with bucky Irving, that's not something that Levantay David was able to do last year, right?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Or maybe even a year before that, because it was just kind of falling off with his age and things then later.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a great sign.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, if you're if you're linebacker and Alex ain't too low, he's able to do that.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's sticking with his guys, understanding the defense.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's a smart player, former captain for the Detroit Lion.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that doesn't surprise me.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's also good to see that the defense is getting really good work in, and I'm sure.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Logan, you're about to go to these I have a call on, which I'm sure is your ex winner.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, he, we got to talk about him because his best practice was literally yesterday.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: He had a one-on-one with Cameron Johnson there, kind of a, let's say, 20 yard rowdy had to cover.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: And he was all over it and came down with a really nice interception there.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: And also, too, just was had some good lockups and team drills as well.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: They just had a lot of the quarterbacks just couldn't go against them.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's mainly, of course, Baker Mayfield.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: there was just no success for any wider receiver going against Zion and I thought that he's had a nice solid start to can be also had an interception.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's the only player that has picked off Baker Mayfield.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: That was really early on in camp.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: Baker's only had one interception.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk a little bit more on him.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: he had that he's looked solid he's been physical and he looks as you know athletic as we all know he can be and so certainly whenever you have been remorse and take a parish deal with some things you know a lot of a lot of you know this this quarterback room is relied on him at the moment and you know I think Baker's trying to go over there but it's just not been successful
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: whatsoever.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a really good start I think for Zion.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think if there's anyone else defensively that has had
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: a good start.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Rose Boom has had some flange on a winfield gym.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: You're has put a point of your jacket warmer.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, assistant had some really good past breakup.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's he's gotten in there.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, Todd Bowell said that he was his number one performer over training camp.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: So far, physically and mentally, right?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: We heard him say that.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: So he's playing really good football.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: And he kind of needs to.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got more room to play close for the ball this year than he did last year.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of why I think you really
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: right so that's going to be something to watch as we get into the the the brunt of the offseason and in a training camp in close with preseason that'll be fun to see if they can really get him up there especially with guys like can they Scott there guys like tacky Smith able to do what he does right you can you can play with some some formations where you get more defensive backs in the field and that could really help Antoin with Bill Jr. kind of shine and do what he does best.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think we can all agree that we would love a mentally and physically locked in and swung one field junior in 2026.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: That would be absolutely huge.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, been nice.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it would be phenomenal.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he had an acrobatic catch on yesterday.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he had a great
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: grab and it was a deep ball and I don't know how he came away with it.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: I asked Bulls afterward if they were able to confirm that.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think he was kind of if you on it, but I think he came down with it.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: The ref was right there watching on the line.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I watched the ref.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: They said pointing the other way so that was an interception for Ant one, but you guys are right.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: I mean.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: a big season from Antoine there is big he needs it but also to this team needs it but I'm telling you a good past rush makes this life such easier for a secondary.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean it's not even funny.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: I want to talk to Zion soon too and just see how he has felt now that the pads are coming on just the presence there of that the fence of line how much that helps them.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one more quick thing on the secondary tune because it's kind of been mentioned over social media and, you know, media availability as well has been kind of the emergence of pay pay, you know, there on the defensive back and the heads of back room.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: So like, what is he kind of showing and who taught Bolsen like he's doing a really good job and working well to, you know, kind of make this team make this roster.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: What has he been doing in particular that you guys have seen a training camp that is kind of why taught Bolsen's able to say that right.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because Benjamin Morrison isn't playing.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the big one, right?
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: He is doing this weird thing.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we've ever seen this before, but he will put on his jersey and helmet.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: He'll get it in a lot.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: but he's still not doing a 11 V 11 work Morrison so you have to think he's close but it's kind of weird to see you know like we're going through the motions of being healthy and playing or not actually doing it yet.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever the plan is there you would hope soon.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Todd Bull said hopefully this week we would see him be able to get into those 11 V 11 drills and those team drills so uh in the meantime
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Perish has been pretty solid out there that he's been the corner back to her place Whereas and they have not done the whole and we thought they would do this.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't done the Jacob parish to the outside Then with the other going to do parishes not playing outside right so they've had Williams in there and he's performed pretty Annably and you know last year he got to Tampa Bay and it was mostly scout team work
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: And there was no really time to have actually learned the defense because we were just trying to be a scout team guy and help prepare the team for the next week.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: And now he's got a little bit more time under his belt to really learn top bulls as defense.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's playing pretty well.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys are here with us on YouTube, smack that like button.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're trying to get the 25 likes on a stream.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: You guys have been showing so much love to us.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: And we deeply appreciate it.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: We love training camp.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: We love giving some coverage to you guys and
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: You coming in with some comments, questions, we're gonna try to get to as many comments as we can.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: So throw anything in there and we'll try to bring it up here and answer as much as we can as we continue to go through winners and losers of the first week of training camp.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go over to the offensive side of the ball.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: I gotta start off with Tez Johnson.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: Tessa showed up to camp and said, you know what, you might have drafted another rookie rookie wide receiver.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you're already got a full stacked room there.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm gonna come make my presence felt and sure, damn enough.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: This dude has been flying around.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's been making some big grabs.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's made multiple touchdowns and he's been telling us and Todd Bowes has agreed that he has just understood the playbook a lot more.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's a great thing to hear.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would imagine he's one of the offensive players that has really gotten things down with Zach Robinson as he's come in as the new offensive coordinator.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: And Zach likes it.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's been mainly connecting with Jake Brownin, who's your newcomer at the back up quarterback position.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: And he got to have some opportunities with the first team yesterday just because also a mechag buca with sideline and Jay Mac, as well, no severe injuries there for those guys.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: rest in them, but Tess Johnson getting a lot more opportunities there with the ones connected with Baker Mayfield a few times, but just overall I feel like that Tess Johnson has made a statement very early on.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: He got a touchdown to the back flip for all the fans.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he has became become a major fan favorite because he stayed after practice for another hour because I was waiting to talk to him after that strong three touchdown performance.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: Earlier last week,
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: and I waited for him and fans everywhere.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just great to see and Tess has came to play guys.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I think you're going to see him and Tess has catch about a trillion passes in in preseason, right?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I get the front of the work.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: Tess is looking pretty good.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: And like you mentioned, he's kind of buried in the depth chart a little bit here, but he's kind of
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: The game slowing down for him quite a bit, he makes him really good contested catches, we see him break free on rounds.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of those guys that didn't test really fast athletic, but you see him on the field and the release as he gets in his route running ability, he really can separate himself from a defensive back, right?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we've seen him catch touchdowns.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: He plays a lot bigger than his size, there are those guys, like the Montesmith and the two two outwell who can do that.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: and it's looking like Test Johnson is one of those water severs.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one of the more interesting storylines heading into the regular season after preseason is done is like what do you do with Test Johnson, you know, are you going to try and get them there?
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: We did see them doing some end rounds with him and I don't think that's the right answer, but who else do you think it's any more work outside of that?
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's becoming hard to look at and say we're going to bury it on a
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think you want a guy who talked about his first two as a buck 20 doing reverses in the back Just a good That's 20.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's too late.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: Does the get them get up by an outside linebacker coming off of the edge with a free run hat to you, so yeah, it's great news, right?
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like we all talked about, you know, the treasure the treasure chest that the bucket years have at Widersy, right?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like they're just almost five, six deep there in the room, which is absurd to say, right?
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's crazy to say, and then you're you're trying to add a name, like how do you get him, you know,
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: available to get some meaningful snaps that is going to help your team be successful, especially on offense.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, where it's going to be, I don't know, the good thing is that if the buck and ears do go down with an injury or two, you've got plenty of guys to do a step up and test being a former, you know, 1000 yarder seeer at the University of Oregon only helps you and his ability to separate, as River mentioned, is only going to help you, right?
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, this works extremely well for what the tip of a buck and ears have going into the
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen Ted Hers be able to we've heard about Ted Hers being able to pick up things relatively quickly since becoming it as a rookie and when you spoke with with Ted's Logan I think he mentioned something about you know him having a full off season now has allowed him to kind of slow things down a little bit more Be able to understand things that are happening in front of him a little bit more so that's exciting to hear as well Especially for a guy like Ted's who's young with drafted in the seventh round was thought up to be a developmental type of guy
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: already showing that he is developing and learning things that I'm much faster pays than potentially or pot potentially, you know, pretty sweet thought of.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: So that's great news for Ted's.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy for him.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Guys in a electric factory, I'm always bringing the juice from, you know, the back flips to just on the field just being able to watch and play, remind you of bucky urban, right?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like whenever he touches a ball like what's going to happen, what's he going to do with it?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: really exciting love to hear the buck and ears are well off there in the white receiver room.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm glad to see that he's doing well.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, here's Madison saying Tez is quick, not fast, but he still runs hard and capable of stretching the field and Tez will tell you though that I think every white receiver will actually ask Tez because we had Ted on here on our interview.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, you know, Ted told us, he's the fastest.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: The rookie said he's the fastest in the Widersy room.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: And Ted said, that ain't the case.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the fastest in that room.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sure J.L.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: McKmillan would say the same thing.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm okay because they're competitive with one another.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: But that's the group you have.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: And there is some speed.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: There's some twitchiness in there.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Ted's has that is really nice and a gadgety guy that Baker may feel it can go to.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then you've got, you know, Ted hurts too.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: Can fly and he's starting to marinate into this offense and get more ones opportunities since like I had mentioned some of those starting guys were out yesterday So this wider seaver room is loaded.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's stacked and that's why we'll you know talk a little bit further on it with about Baker Mayfield But let's finish off.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: I want to bring up Jalen Daniels in here and I'm not gonna say over here He's flying around making some major passes and man.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: He looks like he could be fighting for a QB2 spot No, that's not the case
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: As we've been telling you guys, the plan all along is to let him kind of understand and get a feel for what this NFL Like talented like I don't know how to describe it, but really kind of also marinate him in because it's kind of like Ted Hersel a bit coming from a lower Power for like a lower division and football to her specifically
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: But for Jalen Daniels, his biggest thing, Undraged free agent, yes, he played a lot of football, but he still going to the league now is going to have to get used to some of these defenses.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: And which is pretty funny.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a rep for him where Todd Bowles had put the first team defensive line on him.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: And he did a smart thing.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: He just checked it down.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was just to tie it in, a smart move there because they were flying all over him.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: looked in the pocket the first day though, he did make a throw and was just kind of running and then jumped up and tossed it and you know it kind of goes nowhere for him since then he's cleaned up, he's got a little bit of a hat or a hat or a hat or a hat or a hat it's a aura, it's the Baker Maker aura, he's got the Baker Maker aura, but his best play was literally yesterday where he was going and going team drill, which means 11 on 11 and the defensive line was getting back there, there was just not much happening and
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: he's getting pushed backwards backwards and haven't rolled out and then on his back foot is able to throw a laser over there to Eric Rivers the rookie from Georgia Tech on the sideline and that would have been a first down and a really nice play from from Jalen Daniels and
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: Just from from what we've seen I've seen some nice solid growth like I said not looking to compete for QB2 spot But it's someone that the staff really likes and the energy that he brings I love the way that he you know heads into warm-ups Got a big smile on his face tapping guys up and join himself and so far it's starting to kind of translate a good bit onto the field
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's always before training camp.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: He runs up and down with a fan's over and it goes, come on, come on, have you seen why he does that?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's Baker Mayfield that continues to send him and all of the rookies he sent is in.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: He's loud.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you want to check that out.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'll probably do it tonight, but we'll just watch Baker and he's specifically.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: He'll say, all right, go now, and Jalen has to go over there and hype up the crowd and everything and he's sent Billy Flout the rookie from Notre Dame the offensive lineman over there to hype up the line earlier and bakers just over their smile and loving it.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, Jalen just loves the energy though, and it's a perfect person to do that.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we've talked about Jalen Daniel's a lot on this on this show and I think what we've talked about is going to come into fruition if that's little and that he's clearly more mobile.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: He offers more of an athletic upside than Conor Bay's lactose and when it comes to scout team work, which will have to do is a QB3 and that he can portray a wider variety of quarterbacks in the NFL with his mobility.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's going to be a really big thing that could end up winning him.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: This could be a three job.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: But so far, basically, we've seen from him.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's definitely got the upper hand on this QB3 competition over Connor Baselack.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that's going to be a pretty crucial to maintain going into this final frame here.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: Especially when preseason comes and they're going to get preseason reps. That's going to be pretty big as well.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: But for right now, I think it's hard to say that Jlandeans is not winning this competition.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's definitely primed to be that QB3, but we'll see how the rest of camp goes.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: If we have that to see it or you love to see it right in the athleticism's obviously there but it's going to be come down to the decision making so hearing that he was able to you know take on that that defense of The first team defensive line from the box and then and then make a smart decision right and then decide like okay well like this is happening I can't do anything but like.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I don't have to try and force it.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to do anything of that nature, right?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: And that's probably what Tampa Bay wants to see.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Todd Bowles wants to see.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's what Zach Roberts wants to see.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's what everybody wants to see.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to do that instead of putting the ball in danger and take care of it?
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a great sign for him moving forward.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to continue it once he gets under live action with these mutual training camps that are about to happen once he gets to see it in preseason as well.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like that'll be the real tall tail sign of what direction
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: are the bucks really heading in when it comes to jailing those but all signs point to them doing very well right now that touchdown that he threw off his back foot probably don't want to throw it off his back all that first down just first down first down first down okay still they'll take it probably don't you probably don't want to throw an off your back foot and have to put it back um but you know if you're able to make a play and you have the arms strength and arms talent to be able to do so then so be it as long as you are
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: You can baker their own across his body on the sidewalks, like same, same situation, right?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: But awesome to hear that he's doing what he needs to do to be able to make this team in some sort of way of action.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll continue to monitor it.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I thought you brought up a good point, Caleb, and I was talking to River about this, where
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you said, this is about a month ago or a little bit time on Jalen Daniels where you said, you know, eventually he is going to have to break out of that shell and take those shots and see what he can do with his arm further and unlongered down the field.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I think we're slowly getting into that progression with Jalen.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: And right now, just tank her the ball is the number one priority for any quarterback.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: So that's step one.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, starting to get out of that comfort zone, which is going to have to be
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: looking down the field longer nagging so antsy in the pocket.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: So it's something just to keep it and keep an eye on him on her, but I thought I mentioned him on here as he is just a rookie quarterback and it's not fun going against Todd Bowles' defense with the guys playing out yet.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: That comfort ability factor is huge.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: So like once he's more comfortable and what he's doing, I'm sure we'll start to see those bigger shots down the field a little bit more.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: 100% anyone else on the offensive side.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like if you're going to name a winner loser offensively defensively to begin camp.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: It has been on the defensive side.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now has there been some touchdowns and you know, Baker able to connect here and there.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to evaluate the run game because, you know, I think we've been high on Kenny Gainwell.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's looked like exactly how we kind of projected him to be.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: This is why it's not really too much of a shock to us, and I know some national people come visit practice, and they're like, oh, Kenny Gainwell, man, he's going to be a big and instrumental piece on this offense.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: We told you.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: We, we told you we, we've been telling you we did.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: And this is no shock to us or any of you listeners on here that listen to a
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: massive piece of this offense.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's chance where he gets more reps in games than then bucky Irving will But the defense just ate up the run game yesterday.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if those guys can bounce back and I'm sure Baker Once they get his offensive line back into a groove tonight, so that would be really interesting to watch the guys have a day off tomorrow So it's not like they're just gonna kind of just play patty cake We got to get going.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: We got to get that run game going and I'm sure they want to have Tristan worse back that that helps that offensive line a lot but
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see better push and when we go to, unless you got anything else offensively from you guys.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was just going to ask, I've seen reports that Kenny G has been kind of used way more in the passing game than in the running game.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: What has that looked like from your vantage point compared to like what I'm seeing in social media and things that nature.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then also we didn't touch on a whole lot of losers and it was really hard on the offensive side of the blow right now considering the offensive line is kind of missing.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: who is kind of letting something slip away now that we are in the middle of week two.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'd say I was going to mention there because I was going to kind of go into the losers there for me as that interior offensive line.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they've got to get together a little bit more.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying it's just off of one day literally so just take it for a grain of salt there.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: But like I said, Baker wasn't happy.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't pleased with it at all and the run game was nowhere yesterday.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: From Bucky, Kenny, anybody could have been back there.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: There was just nothing there and then you add an Anzolonian trotter and
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: Dennis, they were flying in there as well to the gaps, like it was just really well played from the defense, but the interior offensive line has got to be better And then also to you when your tackles, Tracuma had to fall starts.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: He had to be taken out actually I don't think we even saw him back out there yet.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: He was what the first team just to begin team yesterday
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: has two fall starts.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's gone.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's taken off of the field and what school gets in there for the rest of the first team reps.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's something that has to be cleaned up.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he looked good whenever we saw them out there going LL versus DL.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: I liked his blocking there.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: But other in that, you know, things got to be cleaned up tons of penalties to yesterday.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: It was ugly mainly offensively as well.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I didn't get a chance to ask Todd that because I wasn't over there.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: But it was ugly penalties penalties penalties.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's got to be cleaned up as well.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: But those are kind of my my losers on the offensive side at the moment.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wanted to bring up Devon Colp to the tight end.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: We saw him drop a pass yesterday, and to be honest, he can't really afford to be doing that.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: And it's both your hands, too.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the power sharp is looking to take that move tight end spot, and it's looking like Colp didn't play during OTA's inventory.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he can't because he, I think the first was at the first day of OTA's Logan that he had an end injury.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a little bit went back inside to the to the indoors for facility, but he needs to be able to compete with new power sharp.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so far, the only thing I'm seeing is that sharp still impressing and in hopes not.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: So as definitely someone who if you're talking about slipping away, that might be the first and that you're looking at.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Kenny Gainwell, I know you had mentioned him.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely a lot of usage on air with him.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: No shock or to us That's what we did at Pittsburgh with him and it just makes too much sense in there as well But yeah, a lot of polnie sets you got in both running backs out there as well.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, using him then run game to but you can definitely tell that
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: Kenny is going to be here, not just like a piece but a fun piece to watch as well and you got to think two special teams to here's a video though about our sharp right here and just seeing him up close you know and training can't we get a lot more closer than we do in OTA's and you know he's a big boy I didn't think he was that big he's a match that it was passive and whenever you look at him you're like yeah yeah you can tell he's built different
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I keep on seeing comments too, and I read all you guys as comments and everything and trust me.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: I see all the comments about our microphones and we're out there for answer reactions I'm working on.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to do that.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to work on that.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we've got to do.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: Right now we're on the losers list of that.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: We also have been doing a lot of rain when we're not used to this at camp.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: But microphones will be, there will be effects of promise.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: The comments are saying about our straw.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: He shows up in fall camps and college and pre-seeing all that kind of stuff.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: But...
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: just wait till we get to games.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay, we'll see.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's just going to have to prove very by the wrong, uh, but it's so good.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's not let it highly like prospect.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they drafted him right.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: So one in the comments, I think Glenn said that.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, bless me.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Um, let's said that he was, yeah, uh, Q and B two or three seasons ago.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, and he's a project, right?
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: He really is.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's a very raw developmental sort of project, but
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: Those are who take chances on and you can see why he's at development approach when you look at him He is very strong very fast.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean you look at the way he's built he definitely looks like he's got a difference for the friend Everybody else and that's the books are gonna work on kind of developing and so far It's hard not to be impressed with him and so far It's hard to be impressed with Devon Colp.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think and how it'll be seen and what we had seen of him.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: So That's something to consider as well
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: My loser, and there's not a lot of them, but it's going to be Benjamin Morrison.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty plain and clear at the moment because going into camp, we were expecting for a battle between Jacob Parish and Benjamin Morrison, but Benjamin, I was in total shock that we were going to see him available.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: I disagree partially here, actually, because I think if anything, it feels like more something just has that job, doesn't it?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like when he comes back, he's just going to come in and take it and it is concerning that he's not playing.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's very concerning.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's a main thing like he could take the job, but he might not even like he could be labeled when he was back in 2011 or CB2 that job.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: And parish interestingly for me isn't really playing outside that they've got him playing nickel.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what he's doing.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, for me, I've mentioned this in a few articles, you know, like Paris put a really good season in a nickel corner last year.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: He had two picks, he had two zax, he had multiple TFLs, he had a pretty good look at season.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, to me, you can't really afford to not play a Jacob Paris, right?
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: If you weren't, you had to just got to be your nickel, then you just placed Paris what do you do?
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you weren't Paris, so be your nickel, then he had to just
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: I curious to see how that kind of keeps going.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Parrish didn't practice yesterday.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: He was at a lower body's awareness.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: He might be back tonight.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: Probably not.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: But he was too good to kind of just move to the side.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: So what they do with him is entertaining that with more than out, you're not seeing Parrish on the outside.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: You're seeing people on the outside.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: They had iron garnes yesterday.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think on the outside, further flow out of the work as well.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: No ginger perish.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: So interesting.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was him.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a real intriguing aspect of it, right?
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: Because like after the draft, you're like, okay, this makes sense, you know, with everything that's going on with the offseason and free agency up until after the draft.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, key on say Scotch was going to automatically move into that Nicholas Bob Pearce is obviously going to be pushed outside.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe that's what the thought process was from the front office as well, right?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is going to be, you know, great for us.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now things have kind of changed and shifted a bit and whether we've made it to training camp.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's probably going to be one of the more intriguing things to follow as we continue through this and into the preseason and our present.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: Let's jump over to a conversation about Baker Mayfield and his performance so far because man has a been a whirlwind of more off the field drama.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: than anything we heard his comments and he was not happy with the contract negotiations he goes off and you know a lot of people that cover the team are kind of stunned by it you know he was very transparent on it and that is kind of the baker way but more than usual he was
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: uh uh you know voice in his opinions and you know brought up also Vita Vaya into the mix and to say this is sort of a trend here what what this organization that was just kind of shocking that that was set out well i mean waiting till the last minute yeah is absolutely a trend for this realization it's not that they do not like to get things done ahead of time which no one to be fair that's works for them largely
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're the most part in giving my Kevin's a new extension.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: He played it out and they gave to him.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't give one field in the extension.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: He played out and he gave it to him.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it worked out and worse.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I thought it was interesting that may feel to use worse specifically.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a, you know, example because worse held out for a very little amount of time.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then they made him the highest paid tack on the league.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, yeah, it's it's been fun drama.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: Some of these guys are labeled as, you know, bucketers for life or whatever right leave these are these are staples of the organization if you will so it like they feel like it's maybe okay to be able to do that with these guys because they know that they're loyal to the organization as a whole already in our, you know, first likely going to come back.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think this is necessarily the scenario here with Baker or Vita at this point, even though you know, both can be seen as like cornerstones, but are they really bucking here for life?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: We probably would think Vita Vita as that, but again, trade requests came in, so it's very interesting to me that this is kind of how things are going.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: You would think that like with the
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: Constantly evolving markets of every single position on football field how it continues to just explode I mean, we're seeing the whole thing with the guards now, too So like all this is happening when you rather get a deal done sooner with a guy So that way you're not having to pay that premium price that's gonna go up like 10-20 million later like in a year or two Like that's crazy to me that that ownership doesn't see that and they're kind of just hanging out by the window just waiting for you know, hey
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're ready to talk now and it's like that the pie's already done cool it off right like it's not hot anymore.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just real interesting to me that they still do that, but it's worth for them in the past as we've mentioned, but it doesn't seem like it is in these two scenarios that's for sure.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Caleb and I, I think have differing opinions on this whole situation, which is fun.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think the books are doing the right move to wait it out and all Baker Mayfield has to do is give us the season that he says he's going to give us and then that will solve all those problems.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think though, we can talk about this.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: There are some people saying like, oh, out of spite, he'll go play for another team.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't I don't think that's okay.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I even if like a team offers him more money than the books are I think people kind of underrate how hard it is to move away from a place if you're a free agent.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: When you've got your family embedded in the sort of culture and the community right for sure.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think if like a team give me a feel like five more million dollars a year in the books are a little lower than he'll take that right.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I wouldn't worry about Bitcoin.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't got to go play for Atlanta.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: you know, I don't see that in the case.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: And if he does bowl out in the box, we'll know they have what they have and they'll probably be happy to give them a bigger deal.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I would be surprised if Mayfield is not a timid buck in here going forward.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: If he gets hurt, or if he plays poorly while getting hurt, what he kind of sometimes does, put himself in harm's way to play like that.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: Then, I think that's the only scenario where you start really thinking about stuff, especially if the buck somehow have a great record and top bulls, gets fired, or some of the other footage that gets fired.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: Then you're looking at, you know, you had the flexibility to at least give yourself some options depending on what a new coach or a new spoken staff would want to bring.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Bottom line though for bacon Mayfield.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's all ball right, I mean burnout.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's all ball and all he has to do is go play and he will get what he is looking for at the end of the day.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think both can be right right like both things can be right here.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think Baker Mayfield has every right to feel the way that he does about the whole situation because he did give them this timetable and he has been called the franchise quarterback from top to bottom within the situation right.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, if I'm being called the franchise quarterback, a two-year deal is a hundred percent a slap in the mother F and face.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: That does not scream franchise quarterback to me.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: That does not.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: Use one of me as a two-year rental.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go prove myself yet again when I've done that for the past three years.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: I've played
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: eight to nine games last year with my body pretty much broken.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't even throw the ball 40 yards down the field because I have a big bruise from my elbow all the way up to my shoulder, but yet I'm still continuing to put my my health on the line, my body, my career on the line every single Sunday, Monday, Thursday, whatever it is for you and you're coming with me and just
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: area per year that you want, right?
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: But two years, did it?
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: Are you shooting me?
- 46:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, no.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: But to me, when I'm putting myself in issues, that's not that's not cool, right?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you're not going to sit here and call me your franchise quarterback.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to continuously post me on social media, use me for all this and all everything else.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: But then you're just going to only offer me a two-year deal, right?
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: Then I get it from from the book side too, right?
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's understandable why you only want to give him that short of a duration.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: What happens going back to the coaching thing with a river?
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: If that all falls apart, what happens if a new staff wants to go with different directions, they don't run an offense that really fits well into Baker's mold.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: so on and so forth.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you're not wanting to guarantee that because you do know the highs and lows that come with Baker may feel as well, right?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: So both sides can be right in this scenario.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: Now you got to figure out where can we meet in the middle?
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: Right now it's not going to happen.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's all about ball.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: Baker wants to be here.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: The book and here's one baker.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's figure it out.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to happen after the season.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to happen right now.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to happen during the season.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to happen afterwards.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: The book and years want to.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: in Tampa.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's had two kids here now.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's got a whole his whole route are in Tampa Bay.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's friends.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of the guys are right.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it's gonna happen.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with the river.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Baker may feel will be on any other team in the Tampa Bay bucket.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think it will come down to years.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's the biggest stick from sticking point right.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: Number one years.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: Number two guarantees.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: Once those two things get figured out,
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: you can wash your hands at a situation and move ahead, right?
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then everything will be done.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I understand everybody's frustrations on both sides.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I would say there's some rhetoric online, especially coming from Baker Mayfield himself that the books cannot use the franchise tag on him.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: They absolutely can.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: and then it's definitely a option going forward in the soft season.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: If you tag them twice, that's basically a 15 million deal for two years, look at the algorithm initially, right?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: So that'll be an option as well.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: They have obviously they want to keep them.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Glenn, you just mentioned there, they won't blow it all out.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: There's too much talent.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's a decent amount of talent.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think at some point the fuck's dude maybe need to conduct a bit of a rebuild and we'll see how it goes from there and.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they should have already done it and they should commit later, but that might be coming soon with me think so.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to do that, you know, would Baker maybe want to be a part of that, would anybody want Baker maybe a part of that, those are things to ask.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how it goes.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this has just been such of a distraction.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would say more from the national side just because, you know, they got to get there that the clicks and we we understand that the viewership side of things, but that's why I always suggest you guys to try to stay stick to the local beat.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: People here, there's a lot of great sites that cover the bugs.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: And we appreciate you guys for picking us and picking
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: uh... your time out of your day to listen to us but you know we hear things and we're there on site so you know national condense we know how it is one of my favorite guy this evening said i love them but it's i i like it because he entertains me and i don't take about fifty percent of what he said him and uh... well jaro mccoy went out this morning on first day so i was pretty fun to watch did you really yeah which which i mean come out bigger yeah and obviously that's the talking point or whatever but like jaro
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: obviously history with the organization and he kind of had his own runs with ownership towards the end of his career and everything.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, but he kind of is on the same stance as the local media as we all are.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: We see both sides of it, but we think that this is what's going to happen at the end of the day.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: What we're as Steven A and the National Pondents believe that Baker's either wrong for doing this or the organization's wrong
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Gerald's direct connection to the organization, the franchise as a whole, it's easy to understand why he has a full, you know, understanding of the lay of the land when it comes to both Baker and and the glacier's family and what they're doing.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: Jim.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know what we need to do is show some love over to our friends at price space.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to make some quick picks right now.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: We've got some NFL that we can jump into thankfully.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if we can even, let me fix this.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Let me go over to I was thinking, let's let's go over here, passing touchdowns.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: What is they?
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: What they have a baker right here on price picks?
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: You guys can use code HMA if your new user play five get $150 back.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: If you win with that lineup, it's a great deal.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: You can do all kinds of things on here.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: You can even go home and to culture.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you watch big brother, you can do selections.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: and picks on the winners of that.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: You can jump, of course, over to baseball right now.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's all over the place, but once we get an NFL, I mean, this is going to be the place to be.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: But they have a great deal happening right there.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: The link is in the description below.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: But I was going to go over to Baker Mayfield.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: He threw what 26 touchdowns last season on price picks.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's at 24 and a half.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: But that wider silver room in Zach Robinson.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: Going to give me that more right now.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think I agree.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think he gained the passing game.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know how much more, but I think over 20 more and a half might be what you're looking at and it's a good go for.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I agree.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think going more there is the right move.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: What about, let's see, let's go into receptions.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want me to talk about Caleb Williams.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: Just
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think there is no more prime regression candidate in the NFL than perhaps Caleb Williams is okay.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to happen this year.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: Major regression.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think I don't know, I don't know.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see, all right, Mekag Buka receptions.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: Where are we at here?
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: They got 70% of the water set.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: OK. Why?
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: What was his number last year?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Is that what you're looking up?
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm looking up for now.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: He caught 63 receptions.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_02]: Three last year.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: As a rookie, he had to jump in when Mike Evans was out.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: Jay, the milk milk out.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what you got on him.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely shit down the back half.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_00]: So that's true.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: And mech is because the biggest thing is going to have to work on I think is his ability to face man coverage.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was very bad at last year.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: If you go see some clips and I Josh Capeau from Peter for has been putting out a few of these, but like seeing like Kobe Bryant on the Falcons, who's like 170 or 180 pounds just like, you know.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: Pressing him with a line and knocking him down like those are things that you got to be able to fix so that's my one thing I'm probably looking for him to see if he can really show he could do that in the next level that being said I do think he'll get the lion's share of the targets I think he'll be effectively the wide receiver one in this offense I would go more than 70 and a half reception.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: We'll rock with that We'll roll with that.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do one more and let's see you're seeing touchdowns
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: that we already do my yeah we already I feel like we already did Mike jackson's jigsaw in half just in javasson's will be like any game overception there's something yeah let's just see if we can uh search
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: kind of game well now that I'll have a one.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_02]: They like can't even walk or they like.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they like can't walk or what about.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: Buckier.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: And can you some buckier?
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: Can we some.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: See what we got on buckier here.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: Five rushing touch sounds expect to get 800 rushing yards or seven and a half rushing plus receiving touchdown.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: And they know what they're doing sent in these lines.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: Whew.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those are good, those are good.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: She won when you ride with the most here.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh man.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you guys are like this.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, well, this this box defeats a lot is ruining any kind of like hope where I've like, oh, bugger we did have a one kind of big run in a can so far and receiving touchdowns.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, if you look at last year, you know, I mean, he didn't play for a while.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: I only have one touchdown, man, injury plagued year.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: injury fight dear he had a lot and twenty four but i don't know if he's gonna have i'm gonna go over over five five give me over seven and a half give me over seven and a half he or seven yes so looking at it in his rookie season hit eight rushing time yeah i mean and i think they use game well a lot in the red zone and then it's twenty twenty five he had one rushing and three receiving
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so he can he can do all that.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think he generates explosives from outside of the right zone.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think he might be able to do it.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: Now what about we got to pick another player from another team.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: So Mike.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: Two 100 plus receiving yard games.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: Is that happen more or less?
- 55:39[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just stick to that right now.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's too flat.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: Two 100 plus.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, you've got to have a 100 more.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: As you have two of them in the time.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think he does.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's it too willing to we have what they're doing right now in San Francisco.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be the only one.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to feed them.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_00]: So wait.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's yep.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how much how productive it'll be across a whole season.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he's an order of water seeper who has the intricate turns heading into the season.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: I do project my given's will miss some games that I, you know, I think that's just that and it doesn't matter what team he would have gone to That it's San Fran as a matter.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think he probably will but Two hundred plus games.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's good for 2017 You know, I mean, I think he can make it sold at that.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I think he's got it.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm thinking.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to price picks for sponsoring this episode of here.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: The cannons like I said down below.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: Play 5, get $150 back.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you win as a new user, you've got to use that code, H, and may, though, we appreciate them.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be with price fix all throughout the football season.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Gentlemen, let's finish off here, and we'll get to a lot of y'all's questions, too, as well.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: But I wanted to point on Vita Vea, and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, put out a report this morning.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_02]: The latest on what's going on there, says that both sides are currently frustrated with how things have played out.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: Tampa does not want to trade away Vita Vaya it's quite obvious but yeah Vita Vita Vaya not so happy as we have seen we've been out there at the practices he's still involved there he's tag along with the rest of the defensive line we've seen him smile and he's ran into Todd Bulls a few times haven't seen Jason Lane him running to each other like we've seen Baker Mafio and Jason Light running to his standing island
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: like yeah what are we doing so I mean if that doesn't tell you commitment like like it screams it to me like lying why would you be doing it if you've requested a trade yeah he's out there you don't want to be here and you're you're being held out because of your your back or whatever why hell are you outside standing in the rain
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about this ad nausea.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think the the biggest thing that the Bucks could do is get a really short patch for the deal and prevail.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe some more guarantees for this season.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let him play in Tampa Bay for this year and then next year a little walk.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought before this season and I've got the articles to prove it over at Bucks game day, he would be a catcat.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see next all of these in any way in free agency, right?
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: But I
- 58:17[SPEAKER_01]: now especially that they do kind of really need to play this year.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it would be really nice to get a really good trade package for him.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: You could get a second.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's incredible, right?
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: But then you don't have Vita Faya.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: He has a line.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: And he can still produce this year at least.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: And for all the rest of their defensive additions to mean something, it's kind of imperative that Vita Faya does play this year.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to figure that they'll work something out.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_01]: I've got an article coming up right after this.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_01]: I have the shows over Jeremy Fowler spoke a little bit on this Yes, they're not worried about Vita Vaya being out now, but talk to him again in one or two weeks and then it might start to get a little worrisome, right?
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: So something could be happening with Vita Vaya and the book sooner rather than later.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what happens Yeah, this is what Jeremy Fowler had to say said I'm told
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: BetaVa is very dug in here and is prepared to wait this out, but for how long that typically depends on a variety of factors including a player's resolve with the threat of losing game checks approaching.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's hard to measure at this stage, but he currently has zero intention to play under his deal or without a trade I'm told.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_02]: The bucks have no plans to trade him despite league interest, something has to give here.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just both sides, fine with one another, back and forth, back and forth, and something's going to have to snap here.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, we got some reports earlier on a couple of days ago that, yes, there are some teams in Trees, of course, they're going to be intrigued.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a lot of teams that are going to want a guy like this that can do what he can do on a field.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's a different type of prototype animal.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's a freak.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_02]: But, I mean, he looks like he's in really good shape too, as well, as you can tell right here on this video.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: He was exchanging some words with Todd Bowles, and like you had mentioned there, Caleb.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_02]: I noticed him out there hanging out in the one-on-ones in the down-pouring rain and you know, he's been hands-on with some of the defensive linemen.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: He had his arm over Reuben Bain, Jr., yesterday when I was in the IPF watching like, he's there and, you know, he's had his smiles and such and whatnot, but it just the longer this goes, something's going to snap and as they're going to go and the favor of the bucks able to get him on a deal like he just said river to where he plays this year.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_02]: or, you know, the bucks, you know, feel confident enough of what they have on the defensive line.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think all of us on here don't feel confident in that factor, no matter how strongly you feel about a Sean Robinson and not Joe coming in with the larger Roberts.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: And you want to take a par just a true rookie like you need this piece on your defense.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it would certainly be a major L for the bucks to not have feet on this defense.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: So it's something we're going to continue to follow.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean I have my binoculars.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be out there tonight watching once again.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: I just like keeping an eye on just the little facial expressions we see.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I do the same thing for Baker Mayfield.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: I watch Jason Light.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's just those little things that you can take away from.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_02]: But here, you know, you got you got him running into bowls and stuff.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so far, it's been smiles on the field for the, when they're talking to each other in such.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_02]: But we're just going to see how long that lasts because you got to think and I think in Todd Bowles' shoes, you know, and Jason lied to, but you did all this restructuring of the defense of line and everything and you felt confident going into the season with this.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, Todd Bowles is like damn man.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, my jobs on the line and I'm about to lose, I could lose, or I don't even have my best defensive player that, you know, I've built my defense around out there right now.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_02]: just got to be it's irritating.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure he's not happy to, you know, he's got his arms crossed, not a fan of all this.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't blame him.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: Real quick, let's go through some quick hitters really quickly here as we've got an hour here and to the show, Madison saying any word on when JJ Roberts will get onto the field.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's an interesting one there.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, have you kept an eye on any of JJ Roberts out there on the field?
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: I have not, so it's a kind of go in for safety.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's more of a safety and a nickel type of guy right now that run in Paris and the nickel and Scott and the nickel pretty frequently haven't seen too much of him yet.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be on the lookout definitely tonight.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fire of the books like a lot.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: They've mentioned it like a lot, but obviously got to see him on the field.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, been very quiet.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad you brought that up, Madison.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_02]: We will try to give you guys an update on our instant reaction tonight, which if you guys haven't yet, we do an instant discussion once practice ends, and it'll be really almost right after practice.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_02]: I have to talk the bowls and I'll be around 9.30ish for you guys here on YouTube.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_02]: So definitely hit that subscribe button so you don't miss out on that.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go over Cainin Forum.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: But Kate and Ford, I'm showing up, could we see him fighting for a roster spot?
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'll lean now until you're over on that.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_01]: We see him make some pretty good players draw either pretty good pass break up two days ago.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_01]: And with this lionbacker room, you know, yeah.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think so definitely need a lot of rotation in there could be a useful sort of team's player It's gonna be tough given you know you got Dennis Rose boom and salony trotter Nick Jackson's gonna be in there right in that competition then for them's gonna be in there, too But this is gonna be a lot of special teams via to be had there.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely possible.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: He could be good fight for it We see he's been good so far.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's been good so mm-hmm
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_02]: D.E.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_02]: sane mouth still needs to put back I get into football shape.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_02]: So he he added.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: He said it close to 10 when we were talking to him during a mandatory mini camp, but then he was telling me that he felt like he was being a little over exaggeration there and says that he's really probably up only five pounds or so, but he said he's feeling good.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's moving well in the biggest things if you can move well on that leg that he got injured.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: things are fine there I believe with Cody and plus when you're going through camp you're going to trim down anyways and he'll be just fine that says I'm worried about Tristan is it a hamstring or is it a cartilage and his knee cartilage doesn't heal any underwent the stem cell experimental surgery last year.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: as there been any updates no updates there maybe we'll hear and maybe ask goals today if they feel like you know maybe after this day off on Wednesday we'll we'll see Tristan get into you know out on the field and such I don't think that's going to be the case I think what they'll do is you know see where he's at going into that joint practice I don't think you'll participate and that but it'll be after the joint practice where you'll start to see him ramp up things going to get out there
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_01]: We have no indication that its cartilage is knee, and as far as I know, and just immediately looked, I don't recall if Tristan Worse haven't stem cell surgery.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_01]: I know Ryan Jensen tried that, and his knee was having trouble, but I don't recall that being something that Tristan Worse.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: Unless I'm wrong, and I can't find anything on that, or I miss something, but
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we have no indication that the knees has anything to do with it at this point, which is a hamstring.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: Soft tissue injuries take a while to heal, especially going through the heat in Tampa Bay.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the update that we have.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: Tables gave us a classic.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_01]: He said it's day-to-day week to week.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_01]: There we go, baby.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're almost close.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's a month a month.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean anything.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_01]: If he's still not practicing with that time, they had the New York.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: for that joint practice.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably something to monitor with it.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think, but for now, it's the beginning of August and he's just in the worst.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I don't think that he would be practicing in New York, heading into it, if they're trying to take it slow, he doesn't need to necessarily push himself.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_00]: They know what they got with him, right?
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_00]: And they're not gonna throw him in into those joint practices, just for him to get re-engineered again by an opposing team before the season actually starts.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I would expect him probably to be on the field after that,
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_00]: If he's not after that joint practice with a jet spin is when I would start to worry about how long is this really going to take it how serious is it.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, go through a last few of these here.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_02]: This is our guy talking box coming here.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_02]: When I saw BMO doing drills on IPF two days ago, he was moving pretty well and showing a great back pedal.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the team is ramping him up, which means I really see him as a starter at healthy.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of what we're talking about earlier.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_02]: Is that that's likely the expectation there.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's just got to be healthy.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one thing that's hindering him.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I agree.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: I was watching him do his back pedaling going to the motions there.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_02]: Todd Bowles was literally 10 feet away from him, keeping a close eye on him, but yeah, looks moved, looked fine, and also saw him and
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_02]: uh... parish outside the IP of how to do some sprints and running there so they're they're definitely rampant back up and we'll see if you know gets into action tonight i think that'll be interesting if not it will be after the guys are off on when's day here's uh... boscocene is kante scott playing more nickel or safety the rookie from the mianny hurricanes
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: Probably a pretty healthy mixture of both.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_01]: I felt maybe a little more safety or a labor we see than a nickel quite a bit yesterday at least we did.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: But what he's got in the healthy sort of cross triangle in there, they like to have him burst tile on top both praises and intelligence to be able to be able to handle both.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_01]: I definitely saw my thinking more nickel yesterday to my immediate recollection.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you both tonight.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: a typical Todd Bulls Swiss army knife player.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, description is.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_00]: Do it all, dude.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, look at it.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, towel works with him.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_02]: Countess God had a really nice play.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_02]: He ended off practice yesterday at a deep ball that he had a PBU on really, really good one on the entire defensive side of the sideline whenever they're in the show.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_02]: The rookie some love.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_02]: So kind of an up and down start for him, but as expected, it is a rookie.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_02]: Got to let these guys learn grow, develop.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_02]: Don't rush anything, but man, I'm already ready for a preseason game.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_02]: I really am excited But if you're what this here still that's gonna do it for us here on here the cannons if you haven't yet hit that subscribe button We'll be with you guys later tonight around nine thirty-ish for the
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_02]: instant recap from day six of a training camp for the bucks Lord knows what will happen tonight we'll see if this run game can get back into a group of offensive line has to bounce back and we'll see though this defensive line if they're gonna go able to go almost three days in a row of causing havoc and the trenches but that's gonna do for us hit that subscribe button hit the like button too if you have not yet we are gonna see you guys later time right here
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_02]: Bye.
