- 0:00Speaker 1: On this morning's episode, we were discussing the response from
- 0:03Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's legal team in regards to the revelation of
- 0:08Speaker 1: the fact that the United States filed for an MLA
- 0:12Speaker 1: with British authorities. Now, Andrew's legal team has said numerous
- 0:18Speaker 1: times now that basically the Department of Justice is lying
- 0:23Speaker 1: and that Andrew has made himself available for all interviews. Meanwhile,
- 0:29Speaker 1: We know that that's not the case, and we know
- 0:31Speaker 1: that Andrew is dragging his feet, and we know that
- 0:34Speaker 1: he wants nothing to do with sitting down for another
- 0:37Speaker 1: interview about Jeffrey Epstein. If he couldn't handle Emily Maitlis,
- 0:44Speaker 1: a fine reporter, but if he couldn't handle her throwing
- 0:49Speaker 1: some inside heat at him, how in the world does
- 0:52Speaker 1: anyone think he will be able to sit in front
- 0:54Speaker 1: of a seasoned interrogator and not crack? Because folks, that's
- 1:01Speaker 1: what will happen if they put him in front of
- 1:04Speaker 1: a seasoned investigator. This man's not built for this. But
- 1:07Speaker 1: the more I think about it, the more I am
- 1:10Speaker 1: convinced that what they want to do with Andrew is
- 1:14Speaker 1: use him to get to Ghislaine Maxwell somehow. I think
- 1:18Speaker 1: that is their motivation here. And I think they want
- 1:21Speaker 1: him to rat on her. Obviously, there's no evidence of that.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't have any... you know, no inside track there
- 1:28Speaker 1: or anything like that. But it just seems to me
- 1:31Speaker 1: as this all started, as this is all playing out
- 1:33Speaker 1: right before our eyes, that there's only a few different
- 1:35Speaker 1: ways it can go here. Now, I believe that there
- 1:38Speaker 1: are other people who are cooperating with the investigation as
- 1:41Speaker 1: we speak. If there wasn't, I don't think that they'd
- 1:46Speaker 1: be so cavalier speaking about Andrew in such terms as
- 1:52Speaker 1: we're going to hear Berman use in a little while here.
- 1:55Speaker 1: And I don't think that they would be so quick
- 1:59Speaker 1: to file that MLA if they didn't truly believe that
- 2:03Speaker 1: Andrew could add a whole lot to the story. So,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I don't really know which way it's going to break.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I think that there is a very, very real possibility
- 2:18Speaker 1: that multiple people could be cooperating as we speak. According
- 2:23Speaker 1: to the Department of Justice... This investigation has been ongoing
- 2:27Speaker 1: since Jeffrey Epstein's death, and the evidence that's just in
- 2:31Speaker 1: the public sphere is enough to put these people in prison.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So you would have to think that the Department of
- 2:37Speaker 1: Justice and the investigators have compiled just loads and loads
- 2:41Speaker 1: and loads of evidence. And remember, the stuff that's not
- 2:44Speaker 1: in public view, videotapes, pictures, etc., etc., this could all
- 2:50Speaker 1: be very damning for the co-conspirators. And I think a
- 2:55Speaker 1: move like this, a big move like this by the
- 2:57Speaker 1: SDNY and for this to blow up publicly and for
- 3:01Speaker 1: the Department of Justice to even have a press release
- 3:04Speaker 1: about this, I think it kind of gives you a
- 3:07Speaker 1: little bit of a peek into their long game, into
- 3:11Speaker 1: what they have going on. And I just have one
- 3:15Speaker 1: of those feelings that there are certainly other people right
- 3:18Speaker 1: now as we speak that are cooperating with the FBI
- 3:22Speaker 1: to because they understand that the jig is up. And obviously,
- 3:27Speaker 1: the gem is Ghislaine Maxwell. If she's arrested, she's interrogated,
- 3:36Speaker 1: she can implicate many, many other people inside of this
- 3:41Speaker 1: criminal enterprise. She certainly, certainly knows the ins and outs
- 3:46Speaker 1: of this criminal enterprise, this criminal organization. And you know
- 3:50Speaker 1: why she knows? How she knows them so well and
- 3:53Speaker 1: why she is so familiar with the way things operate?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Because she was Jeffrey Epstein's shadow boss in my opinion.
- 4:03Speaker 1: She was the brains of the operation. They worked hand
- 4:08Speaker 1: in hand to unwrap this disgusting enterprise and put it
- 4:15Speaker 1: into operation. So I really believe that this might be
- 4:23Speaker 1: the beginning of the end for Ghislaine Maxwell. Now, how
- 4:27Speaker 1: long it'll be until she's arrested, I don't have any
- 4:29Speaker 1: of that kind of information and I'm not even willing
- 4:31Speaker 1: to speculate. But usually when things start to happen in
- 4:34Speaker 1: a case like this and you see somebody as high
- 4:37Speaker 1: profile as Prince Andrew... catching all the heat right now,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you know that they're shaking trees at lower levels because
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's easier to grab that low-hanging fruit, right? You get
- 4:48Speaker 1: enough of these low-level operatives speaking and talking and providing
- 4:52Speaker 1: you with witness statements and saying that they'll get on
- 4:54Speaker 1: the stand and testify, well, that's how you build a case.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And if the circumstantial evidence and the hard evidence that
- 5:04Speaker 1: is available to the public is any indication, you would
- 5:07Speaker 1: have to think that they have an iron... clad RICO
- 5:12Speaker 1: case that is working its way through the Department of
- 5:15Speaker 1: Justice as we speak. So, hopefully, this is a prelude
- 5:21Speaker 1: to that. And hopefully, in the coming months, we see
- 5:24Speaker 1: this accelerate and we start to see arrests, indictments, prosecutions,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and long prison sentences for anyone and everyone who was involved.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So tonight our article is from the New York Post
- 5:43Speaker 1: and the author is Kate Sheehy. The headline, Manhattan U.S.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Attorney Rips Prince Andrew Over Potential Jeffrey Epstein Talks. The
- 5:54Speaker 1: Manhattan U.S. Attorney ripped Prince Andrew on Monday after the
- 5:57Speaker 1: Royals lawyers claimed that their client has been offering to
- 6:00Speaker 1: talk to the feds about his pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein
- 6:04Speaker 1: to no avail. And this is the strategy that they're
- 6:08Speaker 1: running with. We talked about this earlier. What they're trying
- 6:11Speaker 1: to do, once again, is muddy the waters. What they're
- 6:13Speaker 1: trying to do is make it look like the Justice
- 6:16Speaker 1: Department is as big a liar as Joe Exotic of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the Windsor family. And we know that both people, groups
- 6:26Speaker 1: in one case with the Justice Department, they like to
- 6:28Speaker 1: play loose with the truth. There's zero doubt about it.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They will do anything to get a prosecution. But Prince Andrew...
- 6:36Speaker 1: This guy, everything he has said so far has proven
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be absolute BS. So I'm inclined to believe the
- 6:46Speaker 1: Justice Department over Prince Andrew and his handlers in this case.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Not because I think the Justice Department... plays fair, or
- 6:57Speaker 1: because I think that they're this, you know, this beacon
- 7:00Speaker 1: of truth, freedom, and justice, but because I think in
- 7:03Speaker 1: a case that's this high profile, they know that they
- 7:07Speaker 1: have to play it to the letter. There is way, way, way, way,
- 7:10Speaker 1: way too much scrutiny on this case at this point
- 7:13Speaker 1: for them to mess around. So when they come out
- 7:17Speaker 1: with statements such as this, I have a hard time
- 7:21Speaker 1: believing that the Justice Department doesn't have something cooking. And
- 7:25Speaker 1: it's even harder for me to believe that Prince Andrew
- 7:28Speaker 1: and his lawyers think that this strategy is going to work. Today,
- 7:34Speaker 1: Prince Andrew... the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family, yet
- 7:38Speaker 1: again sought to falsely portray himself to the public as
- 7:41Speaker 1: eager and willing to cooperate with an ongoing federal criminal
- 7:45Speaker 1: investigation into sex trafficking and related offenses committed by Jeffrey
- 7:50Speaker 1: Epstein and his associates... even though the Prince has not
- 7:55Speaker 1: given an interview to federal authorities has repeatedly declined our
- 7:59Speaker 1: request to schedule such an interview. And nearly four months
- 8:03Speaker 1: ago informed us unequivocally through the very same council who
- 8:07Speaker 1: issued today's release that he would not come in for
- 8:10Speaker 1: such an interview. U S attorney, Jeffrey Berman said in
- 8:14Speaker 1: a blistering statement. Now this was the press release I
- 8:17Speaker 1: was talking about. This is, uh, the, the first part
- 8:19Speaker 1: of it. And, um, Berman was pretty frank in what
- 8:23Speaker 1: he had to say, right? Pretty upfront and pretty direct
- 8:26Speaker 1: about the situation. Now, Everybody who's been listening to this
- 8:30Speaker 1: podcast and anybody who knows me in real life knows
- 8:32Speaker 1: how I feel about the way this case has been
- 8:35Speaker 1: prosecuted and specifically about the way the SDNY has gone
- 8:40Speaker 1: about prosecuting this case, considering their track record and how
- 8:43Speaker 1: aggressive they usually are in situations like this. And I
- 8:46Speaker 1: am not a huge fan of the way Berman is
- 8:49Speaker 1: going about his business. I am not a huge fan
- 8:51Speaker 1: of Maureen Comey, but I will tell you this much.
- 8:55Speaker 1: The fact that he's willing to come out in public
- 8:57Speaker 1: here is a huge deal because now it also puts
- 9:01Speaker 1: the spotlight on him and his office. Do you know
- 9:04Speaker 1: how inept they're going to look if they can't get
- 9:06Speaker 1: an interview with this guy now? If there's no prosecutions
- 9:09Speaker 1: when he keeps talking about the co-conspirators, just like he
- 9:11Speaker 1: mentioned again here. And remember folks, all these words... Everything
- 9:17Speaker 1: that they say in statements like this, it's important. You
- 9:20Speaker 1: have to read in between the lines. And when he
- 9:22Speaker 1: talks about a criminal investigation into sex trafficking and related
- 9:26Speaker 1: offenses committed by Epstein and his associates, that's what he means. Now,
- 9:32Speaker 1: I don't know if they consider Andrew part of the
- 9:36Speaker 1: enterprise and criminal organization investigation as far as being a...
- 9:43Speaker 1: a subject, a target of investigation or just a witness.
- 9:46Speaker 1: They're coming out and saying just a witness, but they
- 9:49Speaker 1: do that a lot of times. A lot of times
- 9:51Speaker 1: they'll say that sort of thing, get you in the
- 9:53Speaker 1: chair and then hammer you. And nobody, I repeat, nobody
- 9:59Speaker 1: is as good at tripping you up in an interrogation
- 10:02Speaker 1: room as the FBI. They live for that kind of thing.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And then what they'll do, they'll catch you lying and
- 10:10Speaker 1: then they'll go after you on process crimes as well.
- 10:14Speaker 1: That is why Prince Andrew has not sat down with him.
- 10:17Speaker 1: That is why his legal counsel is dragging their feet.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And that is why they're engaging in this war of
- 10:23Speaker 1: words in such a public way that is completely and
- 10:27Speaker 1: utterly a black eye to the monarchy. But Andrew understands
- 10:31Speaker 1: at this point, he understands that he is in the
- 10:34Speaker 1: fight of his life. This isn't going to go away.
- 10:38Speaker 1: People aren't going to forget about this. And furthermore, nobody,
- 10:44Speaker 1: If Prince Andrew is in fact serious about cooperating with
- 10:53Speaker 1: the ongoing federal investigation, our doors remain open and we
- 10:58Speaker 1: await word of when we should expect him, the top
- 11:01Speaker 1: federal prosecutor said. And again, that's huge, right? When you
- 11:05Speaker 1: have the top federal prosecutor who is in charge of
- 11:08Speaker 1: the whole office, the whole entire district, coming out swinging
- 11:11Speaker 1: like this, throwing haymakers at somebody like Prince Andrew, you
- 11:16Speaker 1: know that they mean business. And from the people that
- 11:19Speaker 1: I've talked to, not people that have anything to do
- 11:21Speaker 1: with this case, by the way, but people who work
- 11:24Speaker 1: as lawyers or in the legal system, etc., etc., according
- 11:29Speaker 1: to them, it seems to them from the outside looking in, obviously,
- 11:33Speaker 1: that something much bigger is afoot. They have something going
- 11:38Speaker 1: on in the kitchen, and this is just an hors d'oeuvre, right?
- 11:41Speaker 1: We got some appetizers coming up, but the main course
- 11:45Speaker 1: is still cooking in the oven. And that's basically what
- 11:48Speaker 1: they were saying, that moves like this usually predicate something
- 11:52Speaker 1: much bigger. And this is the kind of thing that
- 11:56Speaker 1: rattles cages. and gets people really scared. People who are
- 11:59Speaker 1: engaged in this investigation, people who are caught up as
- 12:04Speaker 1: subjects of investigation, when they see someone like Prince Andrew
- 12:08Speaker 1: verbally getting battered by the top federal prosecutor in the case,
- 12:13Speaker 1: that shakes some people at their core, right? Because if
- 12:17Speaker 1: they're going after Andrew like this, well, you would have
- 12:20Speaker 1: to think that just as vigorously or even more so,
- 12:23Speaker 1: they will be going after the lower hanging fruits to
- 12:27Speaker 1: build their case. And I truly believe that's what's occurring
- 12:31Speaker 1: here and we're seeing it all play out in rapid
- 12:35Speaker 1: time right in front of our faces. The verbal back
- 12:40Speaker 1: and forth came a day after it was reported that U.S.
- 12:42Speaker 1: prosecutors are demanding the U.K. hand over the prints for questioning.
- 12:47Speaker 1: The U.S. Department of Justice recently bypassed Buckingham Palace by
- 12:51Speaker 1: filing a mutual legal assistance request to the U.K. Home
- 12:55Speaker 1: Office to force the disgraced royal to testify according to
- 12:58Speaker 1: The Sun. Now remember, this moron put his foot in
- 13:03Speaker 1: his mouth. He said in that Emily Maitlis interview that
- 13:05Speaker 1: he's willing to speak with the authorities. He said it
- 13:07Speaker 1: three times. And now, when he has his chance, he
- 13:11Speaker 1: lawyers up, he clams up, and he comes out on
- 13:14Speaker 1: the offensive? He comes out swinging? He comes out like
- 13:18Speaker 1: he's the victim? I'm sorry. Nobody's buying it. You are
- 13:26Speaker 1: not the victim, Joe Exotic of the Windsor family. The
- 13:31Speaker 1: poor girls that got caught up in Jeffrey Epstein's disgusting
- 13:35Speaker 1: trafficking ring? They're the people who were victims at one point,
- 13:42Speaker 1: but they are now survivors, my friend. You, on the
- 13:44Speaker 1: other hand, you only have yourself to blame. Nobody else
- 13:48Speaker 1: to blame. You're the one that hung out with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You're the one who knew exactly what he was, in
- 13:53Speaker 1: my opinion, and you still cavorted with him. After his
- 13:57Speaker 1: first arrest, you come over and you stay with him
- 13:59Speaker 1: for five days. Oh, I know. It was because you
- 14:03Speaker 1: wanted to break up. But in reality, in the real
- 14:06Speaker 1: world where the rest of us reside, we all know
- 14:09Speaker 1: the score. We know that why you were over there.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And we know just how deep your ties are with
- 14:14Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And we also know that somewhere, Joe Exotic
- 14:20Speaker 1: of the Windsor family, there is a dossier built on
- 14:25Speaker 1: you as well. The U.S. Department of Justice... Excuse me.
- 14:31Speaker 1: The move prompted the prince's lawyers to issue a statement
- 14:34Speaker 1: early Monday insisting that the Duke of York has, on
- 14:37Speaker 1: at least three occasions this year, offered his assistance as
- 14:41Speaker 1: a witness in a sex trafficking case involving the late
- 14:44Speaker 1: multi-millionaire financier Epstein. Pedophile. And they keep saying this, but
- 14:49Speaker 1: we have no proof of that. How do we know?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Forgive me if I don't believe lawyers, okay? Forgive me
- 14:58Speaker 1: if I don't believe the defense attorneys in this case.
- 15:02Speaker 1: They're like propagandists, the biggest propaganda pushers in the whole
- 15:07Speaker 1: world when it comes to their clients, right? It's like
- 15:09Speaker 1: Baghdad Bob standing on top of that building while the
- 15:12Speaker 1: tanks were rolling into Baghdad. And this guy telling us
- 15:14Speaker 1: everything's fine here. No, but no, no Americans invading here.
- 15:17Speaker 1: There's no coalition forces. That's basically what Andrew's people are
- 15:21Speaker 1: doing right now. Oh, everything's fine here. Meanwhile, the house
- 15:25Speaker 1: of cards is collapsing all around him. Epstein hanged himself
- 15:30Speaker 1: in a federal lockup in Manhattan in August while awaiting trial, allegedly.
- 15:35Speaker 1: But there are alleged co-conspirators that the feds are reportedly
- 15:38Speaker 1: eyeing in the case. Yeah, there certainly are. And guess what?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Their time is almost up. Andrew has not been named
- 15:48Speaker 1: a co-conspirator, although he has been accused of sexually abusing
- 15:51Speaker 1: some of Epstein's survivors, claims he has denied. His legal
- 15:56Speaker 1: representative group, Blackford's LLP, said Monday that the disgraced royal
- 16:00Speaker 1: has had a desire to provide cooperation to help Epstein's survivors,
- 16:05Speaker 1: but that the feds have shown no interest in what
- 16:07Speaker 1: he has to say, then publicly claimed he's the one
- 16:10Speaker 1: holding back. So, what they want us to believe is...
- 16:16Speaker 1: that the feds, they wouldn't talk to Andrew if Andrew
- 16:18Speaker 1: just showed up. They'd turn him around and say, nope,
- 16:20Speaker 1: go home. We have nothing to say to you. If
- 16:23Speaker 1: Andrew was sincere about any of this nonsense, he would
- 16:26Speaker 1: walk into the FBI office, the consulate, whatever it may be,
- 16:30Speaker 1: set it up so they come see him and he
- 16:32Speaker 1: would have the interview. He would go under oath. But no,
- 16:36Speaker 1: they want to play games and now they want to
- 16:38Speaker 1: make it a back-and-forth, tit-for-tat type of situation where they
- 16:42Speaker 1: try and muddy the waters a little bit more. But
- 16:45Speaker 1: guess what, Blackford's LLP? You're not as smart as you
- 16:49Speaker 1: think you are. The usual tactics will no longer work,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and you will not gain control of the narrative. So
- 16:57Speaker 1: good luck defending your client. In doing so, they are
- 17:03Speaker 1: perhaps seeking publicity rather than accepting the assistance proffered. The
- 17:07Speaker 1: Prince's legal team said, publicity? This case doesn't need any
- 17:12Speaker 1: more publicity. If you're just waking up, the whole entire
- 17:18Speaker 1: case is just completely blown up in the last week
- 17:21Speaker 1: or so since the Jeffrey Epstein Filthy Rich Netflix documentary
- 17:25Speaker 1: has come out. The platform is huge. Therefore, the story's
- 17:34Speaker 1: going to be huge. Prince Andrew is not needed for publicity, okay?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Prince Andrew is needed because what he did to Virginia
- 17:43Speaker 1: Roberts while taking part in Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking ring is
- 17:48Speaker 1: disgustingly unacceptable and he must answer for his actions. Point blank, period.
- 17:57Speaker 1: No wiggle room, no room for, you know, back and forth,
- 18:02Speaker 1: none of it. Hard questions that demand hard answers. Importantly,
- 18:10Speaker 1: the DOJ advised us that the Duke is not, and
- 18:12Speaker 1: has never been a target of their criminal investigations into Epstein.
- 18:16Speaker 1: and that they sought his confidential, voluntary cooperation, Blackford said.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So if that's the case, and he's not a target,
- 18:23Speaker 1: then just go in and talk. What are you so
- 18:25Speaker 1: scared of? Why are you scared to have your client
- 18:28Speaker 1: go in under oath? Send him in, sit down with him,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and don't have him invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege, by
- 18:34Speaker 1: the way. Let's get to the bottom of this. If
- 18:37Speaker 1: he's so innocent, if he has all this evidence, all
- 18:40Speaker 1: these receipts, let's bring it to the table, and let's see.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Because from where I'm sitting, None of that's the case.
- 18:51Speaker 1: From the evidence that has been presented thus far, the
- 18:56Speaker 1: Joe Exotic of the Windsor family is as guilty as
- 19:02Speaker 1: could be. In my opinion, there is no way that
- 19:08Speaker 1: this man has the evidence to prove that that he
- 19:13Speaker 1: did not do to Virginia what she's claiming that he did.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Because remember, I'm not even talking about the friendship with Epstein.
- 19:20Speaker 1: As repugnant as that is, it's a drop in the
- 19:23Speaker 1: bucket compared to what this man is convicted of. I mean,
- 19:28Speaker 1: what this man is being accused of. So... This is
- 19:33Speaker 1: a whole different ballgame when it comes to Andrew, and
- 19:37Speaker 1: they might not be stating that he's a target in
- 19:39Speaker 1: the criminal investigation, but if you think for one second
- 19:44Speaker 1: that those FBI agents do not have it on their
- 19:47Speaker 1: mind of what those allegations from Virginia in regards to
- 19:51Speaker 1: Andrew are, and if you do not think they're going
- 19:54Speaker 1: to try and trip him up, you have not been
- 19:56Speaker 1: paying attention because that is exactly what's going to occur.
- 20:00Speaker 1: And that's why you see this wrangling right now between
- 20:02Speaker 1: his legal team and the that their client is in.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And they understand that if they put their client into
- 20:15Speaker 1: a room with the FBI, that it is going to
- 20:18Speaker 1: be disastrous for him. So that's why you see them
- 20:24Speaker 1: coming out here and they're coming out swinging now, right?
- 20:27Speaker 1: They're trying to take the initiative. And what do I
- 20:29Speaker 1: always say? The best defense is a good offense, and
- 20:33Speaker 1: that is exactly where they're at. They're looking to fight
- 20:35Speaker 1: fire with fire now and get into that proverbial knife fight.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It is not going to end up well for Prince Andrew.
- 20:42Speaker 1: This is not the strategy that I think his legal
- 20:45Speaker 1: team should be taking, and I think getting into a
- 20:48Speaker 1: public spat with the Justice Department is such a black
- 20:52Speaker 1: eye for the royal family as a whole, never mind Andrew,
- 20:56Speaker 1: that this is going to have long-lasting ramifications. And you
- 21:01Speaker 1: know what the first ramification is going to be? The
- 21:04Speaker 1: first ramification is going to be the public is going
- 21:09Speaker 1: to demand that this situation and the people involved in
- 21:16Speaker 1: this situation are all brought to justice. That is the
- 21:20Speaker 1: only way this ends. There's no middle ground. There's no
- 21:25Speaker 1: wiggle room at all. These people all need to face
- 21:29Speaker 1: the music. Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell, and the rest of them.
- 21:35Speaker 1: The question is, when exactly is that going to occur?
- 21:39Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
- 21:43Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
- 21:51Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y... Underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. To
- 21:56Speaker 1: the Epstein Chronicles. Prince Andrew and his legal team have
- 22:01Speaker 1: filed paperwork that answers pretty much every single one of
- 22:07Speaker 1: the claims raised by Virginia Roberts. In this filing, he's
- 22:13Speaker 1: also claiming that he was not a close friend of
- 22:16Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, which is demonstrably a lie. And he is
- 22:21Speaker 1: now also claiming that he wants a trial by jury. Well,
- 22:25Speaker 1: we have a relatively long article from the Daily Mail,
- 22:29Speaker 1: so I'm not going to get too long-winded here with
- 22:31Speaker 1: the monologue. And we're just going to dive right in,
- 22:34Speaker 1: and we're going to see what the Daily Mail and
- 22:37Speaker 1: authors Rebecca English and Dave Averre have for us tonight. Headline.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's defiant 41-page denial response to Virginia Roberts' sex
- 22:50Speaker 1: abuse lawsuit puts him on a collision course with the palace...
- 22:54Speaker 1: as he demands a jury trial and says Ghislaine Maxwell
- 22:58Speaker 1: was not his close friend. I mean, is this guy
- 23:03Speaker 1: really thinking that this is going to work out for him?
- 23:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'm being honest here. I'm not even trying
- 23:07Speaker 1: to be my usual wise-ass self. This is a really
- 23:12Speaker 1: bad idea for him. A jury trial? He might as
- 23:16Speaker 1: well have just demanded a trial by combat, like in
- 23:19Speaker 1: Game of Thrones. Because a jury trial is going to
- 23:22Speaker 1: go the same way for him. It's going to go
- 23:23Speaker 1: real bad. I don't like that word. How about a
- 23:28Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein survivor? A sex slave? I mean, it's kind
- 23:30Speaker 1: of crude, no? In his official response to claims made
- 23:47Speaker 1: against him by Virginia Roberts five months ago, the Queen's
- 23:50Speaker 1: son issued 41 denials, rejecting all allegations of wrongdoing, but
- 23:55Speaker 1: set up further 40 times that he lacks sufficient information
- 23:59Speaker 1: to admit or deny other claims. I mean, talk about
- 24:04Speaker 1: really getting down into the weeds here. Prince Andrew's lawyers
- 24:08Speaker 1: are working overtime here, folks, to make sure that he is...
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, ready to go, if you will, with this
- 24:16Speaker 1: new strategy. They're going through it and they're, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 1: going to try and cause as much confusion and cast
- 24:23Speaker 1: as much doubt over each and every claim made by Virginia.
- 24:30Speaker 1: He also submitted 11 defenses calling for the case to
- 24:33Speaker 1: be dismissed, including that Ms. Roberts claims she should be
- 24:37Speaker 1: barred by her own wrongful conduct and unclean hands. His
- 24:42Speaker 1: decision to go ahead with the case puts him in
- 24:45Speaker 1: contravention with the royal family who, sources say, are desperate
- 24:49Speaker 1: for him to settle and avoid the spectacle of a
- 24:52Speaker 1: trial in New York later this year during the Queen's
- 24:55Speaker 1: Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Well, look, we all know he's a
- 24:59Speaker 1: me-first MF-er. He don't care about the royal family. He
- 25:02Speaker 1: don't care about the Queen. He cares about himself. And
- 25:06Speaker 1: showing it here. Oh yeah, let me get a jury
- 25:09Speaker 1: trial in the middle of my mom's Jubilee celebration. At
- 25:13Speaker 1: the same time, hey mom, you got a few bucks
- 25:15Speaker 1: for me to, you know, pay for this trial maybe,
- 25:17Speaker 1: you know, behind the scenes? The guy is an absolute dunce,
- 25:23Speaker 1: a clown, a moron, you name it, he's all of it.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I've never seen a more reprehensible jerk-off maybe ever in
- 25:32Speaker 1: my whole life. A grifter of epic proportions. A man
- 25:37Speaker 1: who's never worked a real day in his life. Running around.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Talking about how other people don't have clean hands. Absolutely gross.
- 25:46Speaker 1: The way him and Brettler and Singer and Lavely and
- 25:50Speaker 1: the rest of the company here. Continue to victim blame
- 25:55Speaker 1: and victim shame. Same way they did it when they
- 25:57Speaker 1: were working for Weinstein. And for Bill Cosby as well.
- 26:01Speaker 1: They have a history. of defending their clients in such
- 26:05Speaker 1: a manner. A source said Andrew is on a collision
- 26:08Speaker 1: course with the palace over this. Earlier this month, the
- 26:12Speaker 1: Queen swiftly and ruthlessly forced Andrew to step down from
- 26:16Speaker 1: his remaining royal patronages and demanded he fight the case
- 26:19Speaker 1: as a private citizen. So could this be Andrew slapping
- 26:23Speaker 1: back at the royal family, saying, all right, you want
- 26:25Speaker 1: to abandon me? You want to leave me out here
- 26:28Speaker 1: for the sharks and the wolves, if you will? then fine,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm going to pursue this and look for a jury trial,
- 26:35Speaker 1: and I don't care what kind of fallout there is
- 26:37Speaker 1: on the rest of you. I don't care what the
- 26:39Speaker 1: royal family looks like, or if they get drugged through
- 26:42Speaker 1: the mud. All that matters is me. Certainly could be
- 26:46Speaker 1: the position that he's taking. Andrew had not officially responded
- 26:52Speaker 1: to the 73-point civil claim, as his lawyers almost immediately
- 26:56Speaker 1: applied to a New York judge for it to be
- 26:58Speaker 1: thrown out. That was dismissed earlier this month, meaning he
- 27:02Speaker 1: now needs to formally answer the accusations against him, including
- 27:06Speaker 1: claims that Ms. Roberts, suing him under her married name,
- 27:09Speaker 1: was trafficked to him by his friend, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein,
- 27:13Speaker 1: and forced to have sex with the Duke on three
- 27:15Speaker 1: occasions when she was 17. And let me be very clear, right?
- 27:19Speaker 1: It makes it even more gross when someone is underage,
- 27:23Speaker 1: and it's the most draconian and horrible crime you can
- 27:26Speaker 1: commit is when you commit one against a child. But
- 27:29Speaker 1: if you're trafficking anybody, human being, woman, man, I don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: care what it is, you're a piece of garbage. There
- 27:36Speaker 1: is no place, especially in the 21st century, for there
- 27:41Speaker 1: to be any humans in any kind of bondage. She
- 27:53Speaker 1: says this amounts to rape, sexual assault, and battery as
- 27:56Speaker 1: she seeks unspecified damages thought to be in the millions
- 27:59Speaker 1: of pounds. Andrew's eight admissions were limited to information already public,
- 28:05Speaker 1: such as that he is a UK citizen and resides
- 28:08Speaker 1: at Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate. He admits his
- 28:12Speaker 1: walk with Epstein in Central Park in 2010 and staying
- 28:16Speaker 1: at the Pedophile's Manhattan Mansion on the same trip, both
- 28:19Speaker 1: caught on camera. But his rebuttal of Ms. Roberts' complaint,
- 28:23Speaker 1: Andrew denies he ever sexually abused her and refuses to
- 28:26Speaker 1: admit or deny her assertions that she was a victim
- 28:30Speaker 1: of Epstein. So this is how out of touch this
- 28:33Speaker 1: man is, alright? Not only did Virginia settle with Epstein personally,
- 28:38Speaker 1: his estate paid her out as well. And the law
- 28:42Speaker 1: believes her so much that they're using her testimony to
- 28:45Speaker 1: go after Maxwell for perjury charges. Now, what do you
- 28:49Speaker 1: think a jury is going to do when they get
- 28:52Speaker 1: all of the pertinent information and they have Bozo the Clown,
- 28:55Speaker 1: the Prince of Nothing, Joe Exotic of the Windsor family
- 28:58Speaker 1: with that dumb vapid look on his face staring at them?
- 29:02Speaker 1: How do you think this is all going to work out?
- 29:04Speaker 1: And by the way, this is going to be an
- 29:05Speaker 1: American jury, by the way. He even, quite remarkably, given
- 29:13Speaker 1: photographic evidence of their relationship over the years, denies being
- 29:17Speaker 1: a close friend of Epstein's girlfriend. What? Girlfriend? You mean co-conspirator?
- 29:21Speaker 1: General all-around scumbag? Fellow child abuser? Ghislaine Maxwell? And now
- 29:25Speaker 1: convicted trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell. Well, we know that's a lie
- 29:29Speaker 1: as well. Obviously, he was hanging out and hanging tough
- 29:33Speaker 1: with Ghislaine Maxwell, with Jeffrey Epstein. There's pictures of them
- 29:37Speaker 1: at Bal Immoral with the Queen. Not with the Queen,
- 29:41Speaker 1: but where the Queen, you know, goes as one of
- 29:43Speaker 1: her retreats. There's pictures of Epstein, Maxwell. For Andrew to
- 29:47Speaker 1: act like he was not close to Ghislaine Maxwell and
- 29:50Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein is a joke. And it just shows you
- 29:53Speaker 1: the kind of liar that we're dealing with. Who flies
- 29:56Speaker 1: across the Atlantic Ocean... To go and break up with
- 29:59Speaker 1: another dude, I know I've said this a million times,
- 30:02Speaker 1: that you're not even in a romantic relationship with. If
- 30:05Speaker 1: they were, you know, a boyfriend, if it was his boyfriend,
- 30:07Speaker 1: all right, I get it. You want to go break
- 30:08Speaker 1: up in person. He's supposed to be your friend and
- 30:11Speaker 1: he's a pedophile. And you mean to tell us that
- 30:14Speaker 1: you flew across the pond to break up with somebody
- 30:16Speaker 1: that you're not even close to? It defies reason. Andrew's
- 30:24Speaker 1: legal team also reject Ms. Roberts' accusations that he has
- 30:27Speaker 1: refused to cooperate with U.S. authorities in their investigation of
- 30:31Speaker 1: Epstein and his co-conspirators, despite officials claiming he has done
- 30:35Speaker 1: just that. It's not Virginia claiming this, by the way, folks, okay?
- 30:38Speaker 1: It's the authorities. The actual Justice Department, the people, you know,
- 30:43Speaker 1: prosecuting this case, they're the ones who have said, That
- 30:46Speaker 1: old stupid over here has not helped one bit. That
- 30:49Speaker 1: he has not done the honorable thing and talked to
- 30:52Speaker 1: the authorities. Maybe you should put on the right kit.
- 30:55Speaker 1: What's your snitching kit look like, Prince Andrew? Andrew makes
- 31:01Speaker 1: clear he continues to dispute Ms. Roberts as a resident
- 31:04Speaker 1: in the state of Colorado, which allows her to bring
- 31:07Speaker 1: the case in the U.S. Now a 38-year-old mother of three,
- 31:11Speaker 1: she lives in Perth, Australia, and has understood Andrew's legal
- 31:15Speaker 1: team still intend to pursue this in a bid to
- 31:17Speaker 1: get the case thrown out. That's really what it comes
- 31:20Speaker 1: down to. Remember that, folks. It's all about the loopholes.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's all about the technicalities. How dare you sit here
- 31:27Speaker 1: and act like she is not a citizen of the
- 31:28Speaker 1: United States of America? Because she lives in Australia. She
- 31:31Speaker 1: was born here, right? She's an American. And the American
- 31:36Speaker 1: justice system should have its say. Regarding associations with Epstein,
- 31:41Speaker 1: the royal admits he met him in or around 1999,
- 31:46Speaker 1: but rejects that Maxwell was a close friend, and claims
- 31:48Speaker 1: he lacked sufficient information to deny or confirm they were
- 31:52Speaker 1: photographed at numerous social events together. I mean, really. All
- 31:56Speaker 1: you have to do is look at the pictures. Was
- 31:58Speaker 1: it you or not? Or I guess all of the
- 31:59Speaker 1: pictures are fake, right? Everybody's out to get you, old
- 32:03Speaker 1: Prince of Nothing. Bitch-ass Prince Andrew. You sorry excuse for
- 32:08Speaker 1: a human being. Disgraceful ass. He says he cannot admit
- 32:13Speaker 1: or deny flight logs put him on Epstein's private jet
- 32:16Speaker 1: or that he visited his private island. He confirms Epstein
- 32:19Speaker 1: and Maxwell attended his 40th birthday party in 2000, but
- 32:23Speaker 1: denies throwing Maxwell a party... at the Sandringham estate that year.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I'm sure he does. Deny, deny, deny, deny. And there's
- 32:31Speaker 1: still people that believe this shit? I mean, honestly? Who
- 32:34Speaker 1: would believe this dude? If I came into this case cold,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and I had no idea about anything, and you gave
- 32:41Speaker 1: me just, you know, his portion of it, and let
- 32:43Speaker 1: me watch that interview with Emily Maitlis, I'd come away
- 32:46Speaker 1: thinking he was a lying prick. Andrew says he lacks
- 32:53Speaker 1: sufficient evidence to confirm or deny if photographic evidence of
- 32:56Speaker 1: this alleged meeting with Roberts even exists. I mean, it's
- 33:01Speaker 1: insulting at this point. If you're not insulted by this,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I don't know what to say to you. This man
- 33:07Speaker 1: thinks you're stupid. His legal team thinks you're stupid. And
- 33:10Speaker 1: he doesn't think we've been following it the way we
- 33:12Speaker 1: have been. Well, my friend, you're in big trouble here.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Everything you're talking about is a lie, basically. In my opinion,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you haven't been truthful one bit here. So why should
- 33:22Speaker 1: we believe anything you have to say? It lacks sufficient
- 33:25Speaker 1: evidence to confirm or deny. Bro, that is you in
- 33:28Speaker 1: the picture. I can't wait till he's in court with
- 33:31Speaker 1: this jury trial he's looking for so that he's under oath.
- 33:35Speaker 1: And when they ask him, is that you in the picture?
- 33:37Speaker 1: He has to answer. He also claims he has insufficient
- 33:44Speaker 1: information to know if he sent emails to Maxwell saying
- 33:47Speaker 1: he had some specific questions to ask about Virginia Roberts
- 33:51Speaker 1: in 2015. Well, we know that's BS, too, because I
- 33:54Speaker 1: just uploaded that episode earlier on. Look, folks, everything that
- 34:01Speaker 1: he's talking about when he's answering these allegations against him
- 34:05Speaker 1: is pretty much BS, in my opinion. And if you
- 34:08Speaker 1: go back and you just look at all of the
- 34:09Speaker 1: information that's out there in the public sphere... It's all BS.
- 34:14Speaker 1: So I don't know what his legal team's up to here.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I don't know which way they think they're going, but
- 34:19Speaker 1: unless they get this thrown out on a loophole or
- 34:21Speaker 1: a technicality, they're in big trouble, especially if it's a
- 34:25Speaker 1: jury trial. Friends of his had suggested the infamous picture
- 34:31Speaker 1: could have been doctored. He also claims he has insufficient information. Oh,
- 34:35Speaker 1: we passed that, excuse me. If he sent those emails.
- 34:38Speaker 1: His submission concludes with additional defense claims saying the case
- 34:43Speaker 1: should be dismissed for reasons including Miss Roberts signed away
- 34:46Speaker 1: a right to sue in a legal agreement with Epstein
- 34:49Speaker 1: and accusations she also helped to procure victims for Epstein
- 34:53Speaker 1: amounted to wrongful conduct and the doctrine of unclean hands.
- 34:57Speaker 1: So basically what they're saying And I'll just be straight
- 35:00Speaker 1: up with you is that Virginia Roberts is part of
- 35:03Speaker 1: Epstein's network and Andrew, he's the one who's a victim here.
- 35:06Speaker 1: That's what they're trying to set up. And boy, oh boy,
- 35:09Speaker 1: it's going to, I can't wait to watch this fizzle gloriously.
- 35:14Speaker 1: All right, because that's what's going to happen. Nobody's going
- 35:16Speaker 1: to buy this. In fact, they're going to be mocked
- 35:19Speaker 1: universally for this strategy. That's my prediction. But David Boies, Ms.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Roberts' attorney, last night said, Prince Andrew's answer continues his
- 35:29Speaker 1: approach of denying any knowledge or information concerning the claims
- 35:33Speaker 1: against him and purporting to blame the victim of the
- 35:35Speaker 1: abuse for somehow bringing it on herself. The Duke of
- 35:39Speaker 1: York's official rebuttal comes after a motion to dismiss the
- 35:42Speaker 1: case on a legal technicality at the beginning of January
- 35:46Speaker 1: was denied and could see Prince Andrew himself take the
- 35:49Speaker 1: stand in New York to argue his case in front
- 35:52Speaker 1: of jurors. Yo, that will be can't miss TV. Imagine
- 35:57Speaker 1: this big buffoon sitting in front of a jury. Oh,
- 36:01Speaker 1: forget it. It'll be a wrap. I mean, the ratings
- 36:05Speaker 1: alone on TV will be insane. Legal experts had predicted
- 36:14Speaker 1: Andrew would seek a settlement after the Queen stripped him
- 36:16Speaker 1: of his military roles, widely seen as the monarchy distancing
- 36:20Speaker 1: itself from any potentially damaging developments. But Andrew has taken
- 36:25Speaker 1: the dramatic decision to face his accuser in court and
- 36:28Speaker 1: become the first member of the modern royal family to
- 36:31Speaker 1: submit to being cross-examined over serious allegations. Now, again, this
- 36:36Speaker 1: is where I wish that someone like Glockta from the
- 36:41Speaker 1: Joe Abercrombie books, First Law Trilogy, would be the interrogator here.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Because I want whoever the interrogator is to go hard
- 36:51Speaker 1: on this dude. All kinds of hard questions. No softball
- 36:54Speaker 1: questions at all. But Andrew has taken the dramatic decision
- 37:02Speaker 1: to face his accuser in court and become the first
- 37:04Speaker 1: member of the modern royal family to submit to being
- 37:07Speaker 1: cross-examined over serious allegations. Roberts... filed a civil suit against
- 37:12Speaker 1: Prince Andrew in August 2021, in which he formally accused
- 37:16Speaker 1: the royal of sexual abuse while she was being trafficked
- 37:20Speaker 1: by the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Over 15 pages of court
- 37:23Speaker 1: documents filed at New York Southern District Court, Roberts claimed
- 37:27Speaker 1: that the Duke of York committed sexual assault and battery
- 37:30Speaker 1: against her while she was age 17, requesting that a
- 37:34Speaker 1: judge award punitive damages for the physical and psychological injuries
- 37:39Speaker 1: that she suffered. Boyce went on to say his client
- 37:42Speaker 1: and legal team were anticipating confronting the royal about his denials.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I can't wait. Again, I just can't wait for this
- 37:48Speaker 1: to happen. Finally, after all of these years, this is
- 37:51Speaker 1: what I've been calling for. Let's get a full investigation
- 37:53Speaker 1: here and let's get to the bottom of all of this.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Why is the Duke of York so adverse to all
- 37:59Speaker 1: of that? Submit all relevant documents, submit yourself for questioning,
- 38:03Speaker 1: and let's move on here, pal. We look forward to
- 38:06Speaker 1: confronting Prince Andrew with his denials and attempts to blame Ms.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Roberts for her own abuse at his deposition and at trial.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Roberts asserted that she met Andrew while she traveled frequently
- 38:17Speaker 1: with Epstein between 2000 and 2002 when her lawyers maintained
- 38:21Speaker 1: she was on call for Epstein for sexual purposes and
- 38:25Speaker 1: was lent out to other powerful men, including Andrew. And
- 38:29Speaker 1: we all know that story. We all know the men
- 38:32Speaker 1: that Virginia has said that she has been passed around
- 38:36Speaker 1: to while she was being trafficked. And it's a list
- 38:39Speaker 1: of a who's who of business and political shakers. And
- 38:43Speaker 1: it's pathetic that none of these people as well are
- 38:46Speaker 1: being called out, being put on the carpet. She accuses
- 38:51Speaker 1: Andrew of sexually abusing her at the London home of
- 38:53Speaker 1: Maxwell at Epstein's New York mansion and Epstein's private Island,
- 38:57Speaker 1: little St. James. Her lawsuit said she still suffers significant
- 39:02Speaker 1: emotional and psychological distress and harm. I mean, you think?
- 39:06Speaker 1: After all that she's been through and is still going through,
- 39:09Speaker 1: and with the clown still going after her personally and
- 39:13Speaker 1: trying to drag her name through the mud, of course
- 39:15Speaker 1: she's still suffering through all sorts of stuff. But guess what?
- 39:20Speaker 1: She's still showing up to the party, right? She's still
- 39:22Speaker 1: here ready to go and take these people on. And
- 39:26Speaker 1: that's some serious stuff right there. That's takes bravery to
- 39:29Speaker 1: do that. These are not meek men. These are not
- 39:32Speaker 1: men that are used to people pushing back. Her lawsuit,
- 39:36Speaker 1: excuse me, Epstein, 66, took his own life, allegedly, in
- 39:40Speaker 1: August 2019, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. But.
- 39:45Speaker 1: There is widespread speculation that he was murdered while in
- 39:48Speaker 1: custody to prevent him from compromising powerful individuals in the U.S.
- 39:53Speaker 1: and abroad thought to be associated with him. Now again, look,
- 39:57Speaker 1: I don't know what happened in that jail cell. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: wasn't there. I'll say it a million times and a
- 40:02Speaker 1: million more times. I don't know what happened. But I
- 40:05Speaker 1: will tell you this. The official narrative does not line up.
- 40:09Speaker 1: The stuff that they're telling us and the nonsense that
- 40:12Speaker 1: they're pushing on us with their narrative certainly doesn't line
- 40:15Speaker 1: up to me. So I'm going to I would need
- 40:17Speaker 1: to see a full accounting, right, full transparency from the
- 40:20Speaker 1: government here. And we certainly have not gotten that ever.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Media lawyer Mark Stevens said the upcoming trial of Andrew
- 40:30Speaker 1: and the legal proceedings before it will overshadow the Queen's
- 40:33Speaker 1: Platinum Jubilee and threaten the existence of the monarchy. Again,
- 40:38Speaker 1: I know there's a lot of people out there that
- 40:39Speaker 1: think I'm crazy when I say this, and maybe it's
- 40:42Speaker 1: just me being, you know, not as locked in with
- 40:46Speaker 1: the monarchy as I should be or whatever, but... If
- 40:49Speaker 1: this is the case and Andrew goes on trial here
- 40:53Speaker 1: and he is completely and utterly embarrassed and embarrasses the monarchy,
- 40:57Speaker 1: I think it's the beginning of the end. Now, look,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I don't live over in the UK. I'm not a
- 41:03Speaker 1: subject of the crown. I'm not part of the traditions.
- 41:06Speaker 1: And I understand that there are people out there who
- 41:09Speaker 1: are into all of that stuff. And I'm not trying
- 41:11Speaker 1: to demean that, right? I'm just saying as an outsider
- 41:15Speaker 1: looking in, it does not look good. And when you
- 41:18Speaker 1: take the temperature of the room of just about anybody
- 41:22Speaker 1: I talk to, everybody says the same thing, that it's
- 41:24Speaker 1: such an archaic situation to have a monarchy. I can't
- 41:33Speaker 1: conceive the royal family will allow him to run this
- 41:35Speaker 1: case and overshadow the platinum jubilee, Stephen said. It's going
- 41:39Speaker 1: to spark a debate about the relevancy and appropriateness of
- 41:42Speaker 1: the royal family. And we've already seen that they've moved
- 41:46Speaker 1: very fast to strip him of his titles. And that
- 41:49Speaker 1: debate abated. But the more detail that comes out, the
- 41:53Speaker 1: more there's going to be a problem for the wider
- 41:55Speaker 1: royal family. And I agree with that. I've been saying
- 41:58Speaker 1: that for how long? And I can't see any other
- 42:03Speaker 1: pathway for them. I can't see how the royal family
- 42:06Speaker 1: avoids being as... you know, a light as Fukushima with
- 42:14Speaker 1: the fallout they're going to be glowing in. A trial
- 42:17Speaker 1: with the whole world watching and this dude being put
- 42:19Speaker 1: on blast for all of his behavior. Commenting on lurid
- 42:23Speaker 1: details that may emerge from the trial, Stevens said, for example,
- 42:27Speaker 1: questions will be asked of Virginia Roberts about the prince's body,
- 42:31Speaker 1: any marks, his performance, what positions were adopted, every detail
- 42:35Speaker 1: that is conceivable to ask, and then that will be
- 42:38Speaker 1: put to Andrew, there's no doubt. Just like Jeffrey Epstein
- 42:41Speaker 1: and the egg-shaped penis and all of that stuff, you're
- 42:44Speaker 1: about to be put on blast, homie. Get ready. He
- 42:48Speaker 1: speculated the Duke may still pull back from a trial
- 42:51Speaker 1: to avoid the legal spectacle, which could damage the standing
- 42:54Speaker 1: of the monarchy in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year. And again,
- 42:57Speaker 1: back to the Queen, the Queen, the Queen. Oh, you know,
- 43:00Speaker 1: I don't really care about the Queen, to be honest
- 43:04Speaker 1: with you. I care about these survivors getting justice. He
- 43:09Speaker 1: said the reason we think he's got to settle is
- 43:11Speaker 1: because of the timing. Essentially, this case is going to
- 43:14Speaker 1: take up the rest of this year. And if it
- 43:16Speaker 1: takes up the rest of this year, that's the whole
- 43:19Speaker 1: of his mother's Platinum Jubilee. The only thing he could
- 43:22Speaker 1: have done to stop this getting worse is to have
- 43:24Speaker 1: pulled the case and stopped it in some way so
- 43:28Speaker 1: there was no alternative news. This is going to be
- 43:31Speaker 1: crippling if he really is dead set on running this
- 43:33Speaker 1: to a trial. Look, he's flirting with disaster here. He's
- 43:38Speaker 1: always been somebody who likes to talk with a lot
- 43:40Speaker 1: of hubris, though, with a lot of, oh, I'm going
- 43:43Speaker 1: to do this or I'm going to do that, and
- 43:45Speaker 1: then nothing to back it up. So this might just
- 43:47Speaker 1: be one of those same situations where they're trying to
- 43:51Speaker 1: floss a bit. Prince Andrew's official rebuttal of Robert's claims
- 44:01Speaker 1: comes just weeks after the Queen stripped him of his
- 44:04Speaker 1: honorary titles, meaning he can no longer be referred to
- 44:07Speaker 1: as his Royal Highness in any capacity. Yeah, the Prince
- 44:11Speaker 1: of Nothing now. Andrew, who remains Duke of York, also
- 44:15Speaker 1: loses his military titles and royal patronages with the Queen's
- 44:18Speaker 1: approval and agreement, Buckingham Palace said in a terse statement
- 44:22Speaker 1: that brought his 61 years as a senior royal to
- 44:25Speaker 1: a shock end. a shock end to people who might
- 44:27Speaker 1: not have been paying attention. This should have happened a
- 44:30Speaker 1: long time ago, the second Epstein was arrested, at the
- 44:33Speaker 1: least the second time this should have happened. The Queen's
- 44:36Speaker 1: decision made on January 13th followed the day after Andrews'
- 44:40Speaker 1: motion to have the case against him dismissed on a
- 44:43Speaker 1: legal technicality was unequivocally thrown out by a U.S. judge.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Judge Lewis Kaplan sensation sensationally dismissed an application from the
- 44:52Speaker 1: Duke of York's lawyers to have the case shut down,
- 44:55Speaker 1: freeing Miss Roberts to pursue her high profile case in
- 44:59Speaker 1: a U.S. court later this year. And that's how it
- 45:01Speaker 1: should be. Let's get it in court. Let's get it
- 45:04Speaker 1: all laid out and let's see what's what. Can we
- 45:08Speaker 1: finally pull the curtain back and get a look into
- 45:11Speaker 1: the room, please? Andrew's attorneys had unsuccessfully argued that her
- 45:17Speaker 1: case should have been thrown out because of a newly
- 45:20Speaker 1: unsealed $ 500, 000 settlement with Jeffrey Epstein. Brettler argued the settlement
- 45:25Speaker 1: protected Andrew because it contained a clause in which Roberts
- 45:28Speaker 1: agreed not to take legal action against potential defendants. And again,
- 45:33Speaker 1: are you admitting that your client is a potential defendant?
- 45:35Speaker 1: What are you doing here? I don't get the strategy.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Can somebody direct me to the Lawyers for Dummies book
- 45:41Speaker 1: so I can catch up? But Judge Kaplan said the
- 45:47Speaker 1: court was not able to consider the Duke's efforts to
- 45:50Speaker 1: cast doubt on Roberts' claims or whether he was covered
- 45:54Speaker 1: by the settlement agreement, suggesting these were issues for a trial.
- 45:58Speaker 1: He said the 2009 agreement cannot be said to demonstrate
- 46:03Speaker 1: clearly and unambiguously the parties intended the instrument directly, primarily
- 46:08Speaker 1: or substantially to benefit Prince Andrew. the defendant's motion to
- 46:13Speaker 1: dismiss the complaint or for a more definite statement is
- 46:17Speaker 1: denied in all respects. So there's no wiggle room there, right?
- 46:20Speaker 1: Judge Kaplan forcefully denied all of it, told him to
- 46:23Speaker 1: kick rocks, come back with a better strategy if that's
- 46:26Speaker 1: what you want to do, but this isn't going to work.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Earlier this month, Sources close to the Duke confirmed that
- 46:35Speaker 1: he was selling his luxurious chalet in the exclusive Swiss
- 46:39Speaker 1: ski resort of Verbier after a mystery buyer agreed to
- 46:42Speaker 1: take it off his hands. Mystery buyer, huh? Sure, it's
- 46:46Speaker 1: probably one of these arms dealers that always swoop in
- 46:48Speaker 1: to save the day when we're talking about Prince Andrew.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Andrew was only able to sell the residence, called Chalet Halora,
- 46:58Speaker 1: after settling a $ 6. 6 million pound debt to French socialite
- 47:03Speaker 1: Isabelle something or other, 74, who sold it to him
- 47:07Speaker 1: in Sarah Ferguson in 2004 for 18 million pounds. The
- 47:12Speaker 1: deal led to speculation that he would use the money
- 47:14Speaker 1: to pay his rapidly expanding legal bills as he prepares
- 47:18Speaker 1: to battle the lawsuit of Roberts, who claims she was
- 47:21Speaker 1: trafficked to have sex with him by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
- 47:29Speaker 1: But Spencer Coven, who represented the survivors of Epstein, believes
- 47:33Speaker 1: the sale could be actually designed to prevent Roberts from
- 47:36Speaker 1: seizing the Duke's assets. The lawyer told the Mirror, if
- 47:39Speaker 1: Virginia gets a judgment against Andrew, if this went all
- 47:42Speaker 1: the way through to trial and she received a financial
- 47:45Speaker 1: judgment in her favor, she could execute on any properties
- 47:48Speaker 1: he has, the most likely being his ski chalet. If
- 47:52Speaker 1: Andrew had properties in any companion country that would abide
- 47:55Speaker 1: by such jurisdiction of the U.S., she can execute on
- 47:58Speaker 1: those properties as well. He added, if the queen transferred
- 48:02Speaker 1: any property to him anywhere throughout the entire world, they
- 48:05Speaker 1: can try and execute on that property if successful in
- 48:08Speaker 1: foreign courts. Andrew agreed that the chalet would be paid
- 48:12Speaker 1: for in installments. But it was agreed that the York,
- 48:16Speaker 1: it was, excuse me, claimed that the Yorks failed to
- 48:19Speaker 1: make the final installment of five million, resulting in in
- 48:23Speaker 1: a legal action being launched against him in the Swiss
- 48:26Speaker 1: courts two years ago for the amount it was owed,
- 48:28Speaker 1: plus interest, which came to a combined 6.6 million pounds.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Under Swiss law, he was prevented from selling the chalet
- 48:37Speaker 1: until the matter had been resolved. Now that Andrew has
- 48:40Speaker 1: paid the final installment and attached interest for the house,
- 48:44Speaker 1: he is now expected to sell the property in a
- 48:46Speaker 1: matter of weeks. So there you have it. Andrew hitting back,
- 48:51Speaker 1: acting like the fool he's always been, and thinking that
- 48:55Speaker 1: he's going to posture here and maybe try and win
- 48:59Speaker 1: some public support. I don't know what he's thinking. But
- 49:02Speaker 1: the strategy that they have shown thus far seems to
- 49:05Speaker 1: be a losing one, folks. And they continue on this
- 49:08Speaker 1: collision course. They're going to be finding themselves in the
- 49:11Speaker 1: same exact position again. that Ghislaine Maxwell finds herself, maybe
- 49:16Speaker 1: not in jail, but on the losing end of a lawsuit.
- 49:21Speaker 1: So we'll see where it goes and we'll see what
- 49:24Speaker 1: sort of response comes from Virginia's team, but I expect
- 49:28Speaker 1: them to respond forcefully. So we'll have to see what
- 49:32Speaker 1: happens and what they come up with. But Prince Andrew
- 49:36Speaker 1: is finding himself in a more... you know, dangerous position
- 49:40Speaker 1: as the days go by. And the more information that
- 49:43Speaker 1: comes out, the more difficult it's going to be for
- 49:47Speaker 1: him to defend his name and the ridiculous claims that
- 49:52Speaker 1: he's making. All right, folks, it's going to do it
- 49:55Speaker 1: for tonight's episode. I will be back tomorrow morning as
- 49:58Speaker 1: usual and some context episodes coming your way. If you'd
