- 0:23Speaker 2: It is brought to you by the Fanatics Sports Book
- 0:26Speaker 2: at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher is here today.
- 0:31Speaker 2: We'll talk a little Birds with him as they get
- 0:33Speaker 2: ready to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. You know,
- 0:38Speaker 2: I think this is a tricky matchup. The Chargers very
- 0:41Speaker 2: good team, very good defense, much like Philadelphia. Offensive line
- 0:46Speaker 2: issues have contributed to their demise in terms of record.
- 0:50Speaker 2: The records not where they really want it to be.
- 0:53Speaker 2: But because the offensive line has been such a problem
- 0:56Speaker 2: for the Chargers, that's why they're kind of in the
- 0:58Speaker 2: spot there. And if their offensive line was better, this
- 1:02Speaker 2: team would be significantly better. They have some weapons, their
- 1:05Speaker 2: defense is very good and if you look at this matchup,
- 1:08Speaker 2: it is a tricky one for Philadelphia. They're going on
- 1:10Speaker 2: the road. Obviously, things have not gone all that. Well,
- 1:15Speaker 2: we've chronicled that a lot over the last you know,
- 1:18Speaker 2: seventy two hours or so with this team. Right now,
- 1:21Speaker 2: the Eagles are a slight favorite on the road. The
- 1:26Speaker 2: game app actually opened at Eagles minus one and a half.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It's two and a half now at certain books. So
- 1:33Speaker 2: people are betting the Eagles in this game. Right now.
- 1:38Speaker 2: They are thirteen and two against the spread when the
- 1:40Speaker 2: line is between three plus three and minus three under
- 1:44Speaker 2: Nick Siriani. So close games on the road, there's a
- 1:47Speaker 2: good spot for Philadelphia. Four straight Eagles games have gone
- 1:51Speaker 2: under the total, by the way, when you look at
- 1:54Speaker 2: how bad their offense has been. But let's get into
- 1:56Speaker 2: it right now. Jeff Moscher's here from the Inside the
- 1:59Speaker 2: Birds podcast and of course Football at four. You know,
- 2:03Speaker 2: we all know that the troubles of this offense, Jeff,
- 2:06Speaker 2: we heard from Kevin Patullo today unfortunately had to get
- 2:08Speaker 2: asked about his house getting egged, which was part of
- 2:11Speaker 2: the press conference there. But you know, do you have
- 2:16Speaker 2: any belief or faith that this offense is turning the
- 2:23Speaker 2: corner or will not that it is turning, or that
- 2:25Speaker 2: he can turn the corner? And that you know they're
- 2:29Speaker 2: just going through that malaise of a season and this
- 2:32Speaker 2: is that time where you just don't look all that good.
- 2:38Speaker 3: That's a tough question.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I mean, I think three to four weeks ago I
- 2:45Speaker 4: stopped thinking that the run game was gonna just magically
- 2:50Speaker 4: appear out of nowhere. I mean, I think it's pretty
- 2:52Speaker 4: clear that they are not just all of a sudden.
- 2:56Speaker 4: They may have a game like they sort of did
- 2:58Speaker 4: a I guess against the Giants that second game.
- 3:01Speaker 3: They may have a game where the run game.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Really kicks into gear, but I'm not sure that they're
- 3:07Speaker 4: going to have the run game anywhere near that they
- 3:10Speaker 4: did last year. And to me, without that, I can't
- 3:13Speaker 4: see this offense getting that much better.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Could they have an explode.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Sure, they go out against the Chargers and hit a
- 3:20Speaker 4: bunch of what do you call them shot plays, because
- 3:24Speaker 4: that's what they do and take advantage.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And my concern would be.
- 3:29Speaker 4: That everybody would think that they're all they're back on track,
- 3:32Speaker 4: you know, and they are great things are wonderful, great
- 3:34Speaker 4: grand and then you know they're not.
- 3:36Speaker 3: But I you know, that's really it.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I don't think that run game is coming back, and
- 3:42Speaker 4: I think that's going to be a real detriment for
- 3:44Speaker 4: where they're what their long term objective is.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Did you see Hard Knocks at all last night?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Snippets? I did not. I was watching you know, I'm
- 3:51Speaker 3: a Yukon guy. I was watching Yukon Kansas.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Well, there's a there's a moment early where he's talking
- 3:56Speaker 2: to Brandon Graham and Graham says the run games about
- 4:01Speaker 2: to blow up, like it's we're getting close, and Sirianni says,
- 4:04Speaker 2: I agree, just keep doing what we do. When you
- 4:08Speaker 2: hear that, like you can you contextualize why they're having
- 4:12Speaker 2: so many problems because they believe in what they do,
- 4:15Speaker 2: but they're not getting the results.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and that.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Must be the real frustrating part. I always feel like
- 4:21Speaker 4: coaches are somewhat cursed.
- 4:24Speaker 3: By their own victos. Yes, so every coach I've just.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Like Andy Reid, believed it was his offense and not
- 4:34Speaker 2: the guys in it. That you can just put in
- 4:35Speaker 2: Todd Pinkson and James Thrash and it would work.
- 4:39Speaker 3: To an extent. Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 4: I think every coach I've ever been around, professionally, college whatever,
- 4:45Speaker 4: who's successful. Tell you, and you've heard Nick serian and
- 4:49Speaker 4: say it too, is that when things aren't working, you don't.
- 4:52Speaker 4: You don't question the things by results. You question the process.
- 4:56Speaker 4: And if you believe in your process and your process
- 4:58Speaker 4: has given you results, then you don't abandon it. Which
- 5:02Speaker 4: is a good thing for coaches because you know, like
- 5:05Speaker 4: fans and us or media, like we get very knee
- 5:07Speaker 4: jerk and if something goes wrong, like you know, the
- 5:09Speaker 4: Rams just lost to the Panthers, so they have to
- 5:10Speaker 4: go change everything. Now, they have three wacky turnovers that
- 5:14Speaker 4: very rarely happen to them, So you just have to
- 5:17Speaker 4: believe that was just one of those things.
- 5:19Speaker 3: But on the same the flames by the same token.
- 5:24Speaker 4: You know, it's been thirteen weeks now and they have
- 5:26Speaker 4: not been offensively very good and they haven't ran the
- 5:29Speaker 4: ball very well, and so what they have to do
- 5:31Speaker 4: is try to find that balance of how do they
- 5:34Speaker 4: make it better without completely changing what they do.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And I know fans get really annoyed.
- 5:39Speaker 4: They see the same offense, the same concepts, the same things.
- 5:43Speaker 4: There have been changes, you know, we've talked about going
- 5:45Speaker 4: under center, we've talked about things like that. There have
- 5:48Speaker 4: been you know, differences in this offense to try to
- 5:51Speaker 4: resurrect it, but they're not going to make wholesale radical changes.
- 5:54Speaker 4: They're just going to expect that at some point the
- 5:57Speaker 4: process is going to work out, and if it doesn't,
- 5:59Speaker 4: then the personnel gets changed, not the philosophy.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And they don't really have the personnel changes to make here, right,
- 6:05Speaker 2: I mean there's other than like we talked about a
- 6:07Speaker 2: little bit on Monday if you want, like, hey, you
- 6:09Speaker 2: could throw in Bigsby and mix that up and show
- 6:13Speaker 2: a little different look in the run game. But they
- 6:14Speaker 2: just don't have like that glaring change that everyone's like,
- 6:19Speaker 2: why aren't you doing this? Like why are you like
- 6:21Speaker 2: why aren't you just sitting aj Brown? Like that's what's
- 6:25Speaker 2: happening here.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah, they're like a two hundred million dollar offense or
- 6:28Speaker 4: something like that. They got the guys that have gotten
- 6:31Speaker 4: them there. There are not personnel changes, huge personnel major
- 6:37Speaker 4: ones like you're saying. You know, we've been calling for
- 6:39Speaker 4: more Camlatu all year long because he's a good blocker
- 6:43Speaker 4: as a fullback of a tight end, and you know
- 6:45Speaker 4: a lot of us have been saying, why are you
- 6:47Speaker 4: putting grank kal Katara out there?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Continuing he's not even a big part of the passing game. Anymore.
- 6:51Speaker 4: He used to be like, you know, kaw Katara would
- 6:53Speaker 4: give you two to three to four catches per game
- 6:56Speaker 4: just to you know when God it was out or
- 6:57Speaker 4: even as just like a compliment.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But you're not even getting that.
- 7:00Speaker 4: So what is the point of continuously putting Grant Kalkata
- 7:03Speaker 4: out there when you know that he cannot block the
- 7:06Speaker 4: way cam lots can, right?
- 7:08Speaker 2: And you know if that would help your run game,
- 7:11Speaker 2: Like you want to be a running team, that's who
- 7:12Speaker 2: you want to be, Why wouldn't you take that shot
- 7:14Speaker 2: to say, you know what, let's get a guy at
- 7:16Speaker 2: tight end who can help spring some of these you know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: blocking schemes that could help us out a little bit.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That's a big, you know thing.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's a little thing that could turn into a big
- 7:26Speaker 2: help for them.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Sure, And I think another help would be to lessen
- 7:32Speaker 4: the penalties.
- 7:33Speaker 3: And if you want to know just how bad it's
- 7:35Speaker 3: gotten for the Eagles with penalties over the years.
- 7:38Speaker 4: On Friday, I believe inside the data will come out
- 7:41Speaker 4: on Inside the Birds with Sam Finkel and he did
- 7:42Speaker 4: a little analyticals deep dive into the number of penalties
- 7:46Speaker 4: for the Eagles, not just this year, but in the past.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Two, three or four years, and.
- 7:50Speaker 4: You'll see some really alarming trends, not only in their penalties,
- 7:54Speaker 4: but how they compare to the rest of the league.
- 7:56Speaker 4: And honestly, penalties penalties is one of two things. It's
- 8:00Speaker 4: either coaching right from a discipline standpoint, or it's talent.
- 8:05Speaker 4: You know, a lot of people have always blamed penalties
- 8:07Speaker 4: on coaching, and I've said it's also talent because if
- 8:09Speaker 4: you have defensive holding, if you have DPIs, if you
- 8:12Speaker 4: have those kind of penalty, the subjective more type defensive penalties,
- 8:16Speaker 4: that's because you usually have players aren't very good at
- 8:18Speaker 4: covering players, right, But in this case, they have a
- 8:21Speaker 4: ton of pre snap penalties, about a third of them.
- 8:25Speaker 4: And that's not talent, that's you know, discipline, that's just
- 8:28Speaker 4: not false starting, not a legal formation, not having a
- 8:32Speaker 4: lining up incorrectly, you know if you're a wide receiver.
- 8:35Speaker 4: So that's the kind of stuff that really Nick Sirianni
- 8:37Speaker 4: and his staff have to look in the mirror and rectify.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and they've killed them this year.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Oh listen, And but you just mentioned about the Rams
- 8:44Speaker 2: having a couple of you know, fumbles in those are
- 8:47Speaker 2: things that are hurting Philadelphia right now, fumbles, turnovers, you know,
- 8:51Speaker 2: hurts with an interception, hurts with a fumble on the tush, push,
- 8:54Speaker 2: you had the punt return fumble last week. I mean,
- 8:57Speaker 2: you've had some uncharacteristic things kind of rear their ugly.
- 9:00Speaker 2: So can I look at that and say, hey, this
- 9:02Speaker 2: is uncharacteristic of them and I shouldn't foresee that continuing here?
- 9:09Speaker 3: Oh? Absolutely.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I mean, listen, I might pick the Eagles to beat
- 9:12Speaker 4: the Chargers next week. I've been thinking about it. I
- 9:14Speaker 4: think that they can certainly win that game. The only
- 9:17Speaker 4: issue is is that the Chargers with good defense or
- 9:21Speaker 4: you know, they're gonna run the ball, they're gonna.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Play ball possession.
- 9:24Speaker 4: As a defense, can you hold the Chargers under twenty
- 9:29Speaker 4: then you can probably win the game. But because you're
- 9:31Speaker 4: probably not going to get more than twenty four out
- 9:34Speaker 4: of the Eagles, so that that's the only thing that
- 9:37Speaker 4: you look for and say, it isn't.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Fluky like the turnovers that they've had recently.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It's just that they don't score a lot of points,
- 9:43Speaker 4: and they haven't really for a while. So now you're
- 9:45Speaker 4: asking your defense, which is getting on the field a
- 9:47Speaker 4: whole lot, to make a whole.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Lot of stops and play at a high level.
- 9:56Speaker 4: And that's tough because you heard today Jalen Carter's dealing
- 9:59Speaker 4: with the shoulder injury. You know, they're probably gonna wind
- 10:01Speaker 4: up starting Marcus EPs at safety. You know, they're just
- 10:05Speaker 4: they've got a lot of little things going on.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Let's because Bangio spoke today as well, and he was
- 10:10Speaker 2: kind of candid in certainly he didn't think he did
- 10:12Speaker 2: a good job. He talked about technique and some of
- 10:14Speaker 2: the things that we and you talked about on Monday.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Uh that Sidney Brown, Yeah, not not good, Like a
- 10:20Speaker 2: lot of guys weren't good. He kind of admitted that
- 10:22Speaker 2: a lot of guys did not play well in that game.
- 10:24Speaker 2: And he did say Jalen Carter, but Marcus EPs. He
- 10:27Speaker 2: was asked about him he was the twenty one day practice.
- 10:29Speaker 2: He essentially said, yes, he will not only be ready
- 10:31Speaker 2: to play, it sounds like he will play.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Oh, I would think so.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I mean, listen, they have to see how he he.
- 10:36Speaker 4: As long as he's in practice this week and doing
- 10:38Speaker 4: a good job and shows he can handle it, he'll play.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Because he was the number three safety ahead of Sidney
- 10:44Speaker 4: Brown before he got hurt. So now he'll have to
- 10:47Speaker 4: be the number two safety because Kuba is hurt. As
- 10:49Speaker 4: long as he's healthy and ready to go.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah, because he was getting he was getting snaps
- 10:55Speaker 2: ahead of Sidney Brown beforehand, before you know, before he
- 11:00Speaker 2: ended up getting hurt.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yes, you know.
- 11:02Speaker 4: One of the things that I I feel like I
- 11:05Speaker 4: as a as a person who's covered the sport for
- 11:07Speaker 4: twenty years, I have a pretty good understanding of when
- 11:11Speaker 4: coaches and players explain certain breakdowns of how they can
- 11:14Speaker 4: occur right. Sometimes fans don't want to hear it, and
- 11:16Speaker 4: I get that, but I feel like just I have
- 11:18Speaker 4: an understanding even though I don't.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Play professional football myself. But the one thing that really
- 11:23Speaker 3: I don't get as much, and.
- 11:25Speaker 4: I'm probably gonna have to try to ask more questions
- 11:27Speaker 4: is and I think people think this too, is that, Okay,
- 11:31Speaker 4: you see that.
- 11:31Speaker 3: The Bears run a ton of outside zone, that's what
- 11:33Speaker 3: they normally do.
- 11:34Speaker 4: You notice after a while that you are you are
- 11:37Speaker 4: not defending it properly, You're defending it horizontally, which is
- 11:41Speaker 4: what they want you to do. You're getting taken from
- 11:44Speaker 4: a ride out of gaps and then getting.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Killed in the cutback.
- 11:48Speaker 4: I gotta think that Clint hurt is telling them on
- 11:50Speaker 4: the sideline that this is happening, that the defensive coordinator
- 11:54Speaker 4: is telling them it's happening. And to watch it happen
- 11:57Speaker 4: from opening kick to the end of the game, just
- 12:00Speaker 4: like the Atlanta game last year, is mind boggling to me.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It's almost like.
- 12:03Speaker 3: You get caught in a trap that you can't get
- 12:06Speaker 3: out of.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And I don't understand why they can't get out of
- 12:08Speaker 4: that when you got all this technology on the sidelines
- 12:12Speaker 4: showing you what they're doing and what you're doing as
- 12:14Speaker 4: a result, you get what I'm saying, Like, that's the
- 12:16Speaker 4: one thing that doesn't compete with me, Like how you
- 12:19Speaker 4: can't adjust when it's happening to you in real time.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know it's funny, and you know, fans
- 12:24Speaker 2: love blaming the coaches, and sometimes we just take for
- 12:27Speaker 2: granted that are you telling me that these coaches can't
- 12:30Speaker 2: see what we think. I have a hard time with
- 12:32Speaker 2: that when you're around the game every single day and
- 12:36Speaker 2: you sleep there and you watch stuff that if Joe
- 12:39Speaker 2: and Fishtown on the couch can make a stupid observation
- 12:42Speaker 2: that the guys coaching in the game and the moment
- 12:45Speaker 2: can't see that observation. So sometimes that's why I tend
- 12:48Speaker 2: to look at the players a lot more than the coaches.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Or that's big of idiots, Like you know, that's a
- 12:53Speaker 2: profession where you got to put a lot of Now,
- 12:57Speaker 2: maybe it's the battle of attrition that you just out
- 13:00Speaker 2: grind other people and because of it, you end up
- 13:03Speaker 2: getting a spot that maybe you're not good enough for.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I don't know, but I.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Think that if you coach at that level, it's because
- 13:10Speaker 2: you have really put your time in to be it's
- 13:14Speaker 2: so detail oriented, and we always want to blame, like
- 13:18Speaker 2: you said, for penalties. Sometimes you're like, that's an undisciplined team,
- 13:21Speaker 2: and it's like, how did.
- 13:24Speaker 1: The coach force you to do that?
- 13:25Speaker 2: Like you know what I mean, Like because he didn't
- 13:28Speaker 2: have you run he didn't have you run gassers in practice,
- 13:32Speaker 2: because you may like I don't. Sometimes it just doesn't
- 13:36Speaker 2: compute for me because listen, you coach and you do
- 13:39Speaker 2: things over and over and over and over, and then
- 13:42Speaker 2: you're like, dude, we practice that all the time.
- 13:44Speaker 3: How do you not get this right right?
- 13:46Speaker 4: Like, you know, take the third and eight play that
- 13:48Speaker 4: DeVante Smith and Jillen Hurts, and you know, we know
- 13:51Speaker 4: and we know that Jalen Hurts made a bad throw.
- 13:53Speaker 4: It wasn't anything to do with DeVante Smith, and certainly
- 13:56Speaker 4: Dallas Goddard was not.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Once you saw the defensive.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Look, you realize Dallas got it was not.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Going to be a part of the play. He's got
- 14:03Speaker 3: to get the ball out immediately in the first riek.
- 14:06Speaker 3: If you saw what he said right on the sidelide,
- 14:09Speaker 3: he messed up. He took accountability.
- 14:10Speaker 4: I guarantee you if they were in that xact same
- 14:12Speaker 4: spot ten plays later and Chicago showed the same exact defense,
- 14:18Speaker 4: He's going to at least do his best to put
- 14:21Speaker 4: the ball where he's in the right place that time,
- 14:24Speaker 4: because he you know, he has the technology, He sees it.
- 14:27Speaker 3: He admits the issue.
- 14:30Speaker 4: So that's why I'm so confused to him why the
- 14:32Speaker 4: defensive line just could not stop getting taken for a ride.
- 14:37Speaker 4: And then I think that I think that that probably
- 14:40Speaker 4: means that they're discrediting how good the Chicago Bears offensive
- 14:43Speaker 4: line manhandled him, And to me that's more alarming. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 4: because they were really manhandled.
- 14:49Speaker 2: They got out physical upfront, no question about it. And look,
- 14:52Speaker 2: that's one area where the Bears have a really good
- 14:54Speaker 2: offensive line and they can kind of do what they
- 14:56Speaker 2: want to do in the run game. Your offensive line
- 14:58Speaker 2: is struggling, You're struggling to do things in the run game.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And you saw it unfold right there. And it's one
- 15:03Speaker 2: of the reasons why this game is interesting because the
- 15:05Speaker 2: Chargers really has struggled with their offensive line. Because if
- 15:09Speaker 2: their offensive line is healthy, they are a very very
- 15:12Speaker 2: dangerous teams.
- 15:15Speaker 4: The Chargers, Yes, And the weird thing is it's not
- 15:17Speaker 4: gonna be healthy because they've lost both of their offensive
- 15:19Speaker 4: tackles for the year, Shawn Slater and all.
- 15:23Speaker 3: And that's that's really too bad they have.
- 15:27Speaker 4: They've been a team that is up and down a
- 15:29Speaker 4: little bit like the Eagles.
- 15:30Speaker 3: So it's I mean, I think the Eagles are actually
- 15:32Speaker 3: favorite if I last check.
- 15:34Speaker 4: I don't know if you've talked about the lineman all,
- 15:36Speaker 4: but I thought I saw that the Eagles were actually
- 15:38Speaker 4: favorites to win this game.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So it opened at one and a half, it's up
- 15:42Speaker 1: to two and a half.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, they can certainly win this game, and
- 15:46Speaker 4: they don't have to play a perfect game either, So
- 15:48Speaker 4: they got to play a good game, but I gotta
- 15:50Speaker 4: think this week went through six to win the game.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I do think, Jeff, that this game is kind of
- 15:56Speaker 2: a a scene setter for the rest of the season here,
- 16:02Speaker 2: like if you find that you get back on track
- 16:04Speaker 2: against this Charger team, which is just they're a good defense,
- 16:07Speaker 2: they're a good team because you got the Raiders the
- 16:10Speaker 2: following week, and if you can't handle the Raider, the
- 16:12Speaker 2: Raider game feels like that Arizona game almost a couple
- 16:15Speaker 2: of years ago, where you're like, ah, they played the Cardinals,
- 16:17Speaker 2: they'll get back on track, and the Cardinals just gashed
- 16:21Speaker 2: them this game here, though, if you lose this game
- 16:25Speaker 2: and you're on a three game skid, you're questioning yourself,
- 16:29Speaker 2: who the heck knows what could happen against the Raiders,
- 16:31Speaker 2: Because I'll tell you what. Watching The Hard Knocks, the
- 16:33Speaker 2: one thing I took from that last night is that
- 16:36Speaker 2: Washington kind of feels like we're getting healthy. Like this
- 16:40Speaker 2: season has been disastrous for us. Quinn at one point
- 16:44Speaker 2: during the show said, Oh my god, I can't believe
- 16:46Speaker 2: how many guys are a practice like this is unbelievable.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Like there's McLaurin has only played four games, and here,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you know, like all these guys were coming back. They
- 16:53Speaker 2: went to the NFC Championship game this year, they lost
- 16:55Speaker 2: to Philadelphia. You don't think they would love to be
- 16:57Speaker 2: the spoiler. And you have to play then twice in
- 17:00Speaker 2: a three week span not ideal. So I think this
- 17:03Speaker 2: game is very important for you to kind of get
- 17:06Speaker 2: your confidence because if you go into that Raider game
- 17:10Speaker 2: three in a row having to answer all these questions,
- 17:13Speaker 2: who knows what happens against that team?
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and I know, you know how things are here
- 17:18Speaker 3: with what we saw last.
- 17:19Speaker 4: If the Eagles go out to LA and beat the Chargers,
- 17:22Speaker 4: you know, something like you know, who knows twenty six
- 17:25Speaker 4: twenty twenty six, seventeen, everybody's gonna be back on and say, oh,
- 17:28Speaker 4: they found it or this or that, and it will
- 17:30Speaker 4: be an important win for everything that you said.
- 17:32Speaker 3: But I won't let it cloud what I think of
- 17:35Speaker 3: this team. Honestly, I think people do that way too much.
- 17:38Speaker 3: They go on what they see last.
- 17:40Speaker 4: So just like I don't think that because they've lost
- 17:42Speaker 4: two in a row that they can't beat the Chargers.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I think they can beat the Chargers. But I think
- 17:47Speaker 3: that the identity of this.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Team has shown itself now through thirteen weeks, and it's
- 17:53Speaker 4: going to be a struggle.
- 17:56Speaker 3: It'll be a real struggle no matter who they play.
- 17:57Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think the Commanders aren't laying down.
- 18:00Speaker 4: I think that Bills game everybody thought might mean nothing
- 18:02Speaker 4: at the beginning of the season because people thought both
- 18:04Speaker 4: teams might have the number one seed wrapped up. Well,
- 18:07Speaker 4: that ain't gonna be the case. And the Eagles got
- 18:08Speaker 4: a lot of competition here down the stretch. I mean,
- 18:11Speaker 4: the Eagles are competing with not only the Bears, right
- 18:13Speaker 4: who just kicked them out of the top spot, not
- 18:15Speaker 4: only the the Rams who are in the second spot,
- 18:20Speaker 4: but I mean the Seahawks are there right there, like
- 18:24Speaker 4: if they wind up winning the West, and so, by
- 18:26Speaker 4: the way, so all the forty nine ers, they're right
- 18:28Speaker 4: all right there.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Whoever wins the West could get the second seed. The
- 18:31Speaker 3: Packers are hot again.
- 18:32Speaker 4: You know, they figured out some offensive issues and they're
- 18:34Speaker 4: getting Jayden Reid back. I assume if not this week,
- 18:37Speaker 4: then next week. You know, like they're competing with a
- 18:39Speaker 4: lot of different teams here.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Well, the Irony games very important.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And the Irony is the one team that beat you
- 18:47Speaker 2: the Bears is now the one team that could be
- 18:51Speaker 2: the biggest one in play for the tie bringer. You
- 18:53Speaker 2: beat the Rams, You've beat the Packers, you beat the Lions.
- 18:56Speaker 2: The Lions are now in the dust. It's the Bears
- 18:59Speaker 2: game that turned out to me maybe be the biggest
- 19:01Speaker 2: one of all the teams that you beat. That's the
- 19:03Speaker 2: one you didn't and it might be the one that
- 19:05Speaker 2: cost you possibly the one seed, and who knows what more.
- 19:09Speaker 2: But it's gonna be a crazy I'll tell you this.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but Dallas plays Thursday against
- 19:15Speaker 2: the Lions. I think that Lions team is done. I
- 19:17Speaker 2: think they're cooked.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Losing Terry and Arnold for the rest of the year hurts.
- 19:21Speaker 4: I mean, they always fight, they're they're not a team
- 19:23Speaker 4: that lays down, So it'll.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Be a just don't know that they have any more
- 19:26Speaker 2: fight left in them. Man, they have been beaten and
- 19:29Speaker 2: battered and all the stuff, and then the coach just
- 19:32Speaker 2: keeps going on fourth down and they keep done. I mean,
- 19:34Speaker 2: I think it's just gonna catch up to them.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Now if the Cowboys, by the way, win that game,
- 19:39Speaker 4: putting a little pressure on the Eagles, and the Eagles.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Don't win in La whole Boy.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well, that's that's what I'm getting, because that
- 19:47Speaker 2: means they would essentially be almost tied with you one
- 19:50Speaker 2: lass win but the same amount of losses. They played
- 19:54Speaker 2: the Chargers the following week, yep. And then after that,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I mean they play minut Minnesota, Washington, and I get Washington.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I think is a tricky game for everybody because they
- 20:06Speaker 2: kind of think that they belong and then you play
- 20:07Speaker 2: the Giants. Dallas has a schedule that they can manage
- 20:13Speaker 2: and get through it. I think anyway, it's putting in
- 20:16Speaker 2: a lot of pressure. It's very interesting here, very good, well,
- 20:22Speaker 2: all right man, Monday, we will preview the matchup with
- 20:24Speaker 2: the Chargers and look at some of the matchups that
- 20:27Speaker 2: stand out to Jeff Moscher, and of course we'll be

- 20:33Speaker 2: you football at four daily right here on the Sports

- 20:39Speaker 2: thank you.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Pal, all right, my friend, take care.
- 20:42Speaker 2: All right there he is Jeff Moscher from the Inside
- 20:44Speaker 2: of the Birds podcast. You can check that out on
- 20:46Speaker 2: all podcasting platforms.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Coming up at five.
- 20:49Speaker 2: O'clock tonight, Mike Missonellie he's got a new podcast he
- 20:52Speaker 2: wants to tell everybody about. He's going to join me
- 20:54Speaker 2: here and we'll get Mike's thoughts on where this team is.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Where are they going to? Does it feel similar to
- 21:01Speaker 2: twenty twenty three? I listen, it's not the same as
- 21:06Speaker 2: twenty twenty three because that team's defense was a mess.
- 21:08Speaker 2: It's the same in terms of it's eerily starting to
- 21:12Speaker 2: get out of control. You had such a big lead,
- 21:15Speaker 2: Dallas was done. Now they're playing better, they're starting to
- 21:19Speaker 2: come back. At that point, they passed you. You ended
- 21:22Speaker 2: up going to a little wild card and then he
- 21:24Speaker 2: got beaten the first round against Tampa Bay. Are we
- 21:27Speaker 2: there yet? Jeff just broke it down. If Philadelphia loses
- 21:33Speaker 2: this week and Dallas wins, you're essentially tied with four
- 21:38Speaker 2: games left to go. Think about that, four games left
- 21:45Speaker 2: to go, You're about tied, all right? Coming up, Q
- 21:47Speaker 2: Myers is back here on the Sports Bass Live ninety
- 21:49Speaker 2: seven to three ESPN. As we go around the NFL.
- 21:52Speaker 2: We'll get his perspective from the outside looking in at
- 21:55Speaker 2: the Birds.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Coming up next,
