- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of Eating While Broke.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm your host, Colleen Witt, and today we have very
- 0:19Speaker 1: special guests. Entrepreneur influencer creative Patty Torres is in the building.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hey, how are you good? Good?
- 0:29Speaker 3: We was before we started rolling, guys, we was.
- 0:31Speaker 1: A jazz gust brought kool Aid. Well, we had kool Aid.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And let me tell you something, if you ain't had
- 0:36Speaker 1: kool Aid in a.
- 0:37Speaker 2: While, yeah, you're definitely gonna get me hooked into this.
- 0:40Speaker 3: It's like I can't remember the last time I had it.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Like, I promise you too, I will be shocked if
- 0:44Speaker 1: the last and the next week you don't bring home
- 0:46Speaker 1: a pack of kool Aid.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I know my kids are gonna be like, why, mom,
- 0:49Speaker 2: you're drinking kool Aid again.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I know this dish has never been done on this show,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and we've a one hundred and like fifteen episodes at
- 1:02Speaker 1: this point, so really, yes, oh wow, So tell our
- 1:06Speaker 1: listeners what you will be having me eat today.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Okay, so this is a tuna salad something quick. But
- 1:14Speaker 2: it's so good really, and it makes you're not hungry,
- 1:18Speaker 2: like you get full and then you want more. It's
- 1:20Speaker 2: kind of diicting.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well tell us the ingredients, because if this was
- 1:23Speaker 1: super broken, definitely affording you definitely broke.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yes, you could definitely afford this if you're broke. It's
- 1:28Speaker 2: just one tune I can and then tomato and the
- 1:34Speaker 2: audience and the corn and then I mix it with
- 1:37Speaker 2: the meal and then you eat it with some chips.
- 1:40Speaker 2: So you should love the cheese ruffles. But this one's good.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I was looking at them, like, damn, I wonder what
- 1:46Speaker 1: I thought?
- 1:47Speaker 3: You just want a plane?
- 1:48Speaker 2: I was like, no, I love the cheese one. So
- 1:50Speaker 2: with those, those are like slimmy, those are okay.
- 1:53Speaker 3: So guys, listeners at home today we have the plane.
- 1:56Speaker 3: But if you do this at home, do the cheese.
- 1:59Speaker 3: What is the cheese cheddar cheese cheddar cheese cheddar ruffles.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I was looking at it. She choosing the plane one
- 2:08Speaker 3: look at the list man.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Probably she missed the cheese part.
- 2:12Speaker 3: She missed the cheese part. I promise you.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Okay, well go ahead start preparing this dish. And guys,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you don't need a stove top for this dish.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Okay, we got the you're doing the tomatoes, dumb the
- 2:26Speaker 3: tuna first, and she did drain the tuna.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Guys, Yes, I did. I did. Be careful. You always
- 2:30Speaker 2: want to be careful. You don't cut.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yourself, yes, because you know Nope.
- 2:35Speaker 2: And make sure you have a can opener because I know,
- 2:38Speaker 2: like if I didn't have one before, I would use
- 2:41Speaker 2: the knife.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And be like, oh my goodness, so dangerous. I remember
- 2:45Speaker 1: we were taping in Atlanta with eighty five South, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: I don't know why we were all being lazy instead
- 2:51Speaker 1: of running to the kitchen. But DC young fly saws
- 2:54Speaker 1: like trying to do it with a knife, and he
- 2:55Speaker 1: was like, absolutely not.
- 2:57Speaker 3: No one's cutting the soap, stealing this show. E.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Sometimes if you don't have money or do what you
- 3:02Speaker 2: gotta do, or yeah, you just go that old way.
- 3:05Speaker 3: That's you know what it's like.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You make you ready to make a tuna sandwich at
- 3:08Speaker 1: home and realize you can't find a thing.
- 3:09Speaker 2: You're like, oh my god, but and you're hungry.
- 3:12Speaker 3: You like, we're gonna get it open, but all means necessary.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Okay, so tuna. Then you're gonna chop up the tomato
- 3:19Speaker 1: and onion and just dump it in with me.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But it's so good because a lot of people don't
- 3:25Speaker 2: do it like this. A lot of people just put
- 3:27Speaker 2: some onions, or they put other stuff, or they don't
- 3:31Speaker 2: add the corn, so it doesn't give it that flavor.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So I'm curious if I would end up doing this
- 3:36Speaker 1: on like, because when I do a tuna sandwich, I
- 3:38Speaker 1: do it really plain.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I just do the mao and the tuna with salt
- 3:41Speaker 3: and pepper.
- 3:42Speaker 2: It's like too simple.
- 3:43Speaker 1: So I'm just wondering, can you take the same dish
- 3:46Speaker 1: and just like, instead of eating or not, just put.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It on the sandwich on the sandwich.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yes, I'm dying to try it.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Usually when I had more money, you like, I eat
- 3:54Speaker 2: it with white rice, oh yeah, and then or either
- 3:58Speaker 2: the chips or the white rice.
- 4:00Speaker 1: M hm, with the with the white rice being warm though, yes,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and then everything else being cold. Correct Okay, Oh yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I was I forgot to pick up the rice.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Sorry about that. No, it's okay, because if I didn't
- 4:10Speaker 2: do the rice, I do the chips. But now I
- 4:13Speaker 2: even do the rice together with the chips. It's still
- 4:17Speaker 2: so good. Yeah, I promise you. Even my kids like this,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I got them into this, wow.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And then I do do things with this nails because
- 4:26Speaker 2: people think like, oh, you don't do anything. I do
- 4:31Speaker 2: everything with my nails. Everything is possible.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That's funny, Okay, So take me back to what was
- 4:38Speaker 1: going on during the time of tuna.
- 4:40Speaker 3: What do we call this? It looked like tuna nachos?
- 4:43Speaker 3: What do we call this? What are you calling this dish?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Just just a tuna salad, tuna chips, Tuna and chips,
- 4:52Speaker 2: Tuna and chips.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That's what we call it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We gotta we gotta call it something, right, I was
- 4:57Speaker 1: definitely thinking it was tuna nachos, but just without the cheese.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But take me back to what was going on during
- 5:02Speaker 1: this era of invention.
- 5:04Speaker 2: You know what, I moved out of my house when
- 5:07Speaker 2: I was eighteen. You know, I always been very independent.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I lived with my mom. My mom was a single mom.
- 5:13Speaker 2: My dad was in Costa Rica, so I was living
- 5:16Speaker 2: with her. But when I was eighteen, I wanted to
- 5:18Speaker 2: leave my house and I moved out with a boyfriend.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Back then, and I didn't even sleep in a room
- 5:25Speaker 2: or anything. We would sleep like in a living room
- 5:27Speaker 2: with like all his brothers and stuff.
- 5:30Speaker 3: You moved out to your mama's house to go live there?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I did. I did, Okay, I did well?
- 5:37Speaker 3: Because you were in love because it was hard at home.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I think, you know, what if my mom, if we
- 5:42Speaker 2: would have been closer, I probably would have not moved
- 5:45Speaker 2: out of my house. You know. That's something like I
- 5:48Speaker 2: never really share ever out here by me and her,
- 5:52Speaker 2: Like we don't have the best relationship, but I do.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm very grateful for her and everything you know, she
- 5:58Speaker 2: did for me. But I think like if we were closer,
- 6:00Speaker 2: I would have not moved out of my house. And yeah,
- 6:03Speaker 2: I was in love. You know, when you're young and dumb,
- 6:06Speaker 2: you're in love. So you're like you'll find like living
- 6:09Speaker 2: with that guy even under the bridge, like if it
- 6:12Speaker 2: was like, you know, like a four season hotel or
- 6:15Speaker 2: something like that. Yeah. So yeah, so that's what happened.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And you know, and then I started working. Well, actually
- 6:23Speaker 2: I've been working since I was fifteen, when I was
- 6:25Speaker 2: in high school. My first job was at McDonald's as
- 6:28Speaker 2: a cashier. So I always had that in me, like
- 6:30Speaker 2: I always been like a hardworking person, Like I'm not lazy,
- 6:34Speaker 2: you know, So I wasn't afraid of like, oh, I'll
- 6:36Speaker 2: go work and find find work. But you know, we
- 6:39Speaker 2: did have to eat whatever was my boyfriend's house and
- 6:43Speaker 2: whatever but I'm from Costa Rica, so in Costa Rica
- 6:47Speaker 2: we have different tunas than over here, you know. So
- 6:51Speaker 2: but then they kind of make the tuna like how
- 6:53Speaker 2: I did? How I do it? Right now, I'm kind
- 6:55Speaker 2: of doing it, you know a little bit. So this
- 6:58Speaker 2: was always like if we if I didn't have money,
- 7:01Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, that's it's so good and it's cheap,
- 7:04Speaker 2: so I would just eat it. Yeah mm hmm.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Now you got the onion. Now, I'm not a huge
- 7:12Speaker 3: fan of onions.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So now I'll put a little bit. That's a little bit.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I'll put your like three.
- 7:17Speaker 3: However you make it, I'm gonna try it because you
- 7:19Speaker 3: be surprised.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I want you to try it. I'll just put a
- 7:21Speaker 2: little bit.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I've tried crazy things on the show.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Really.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Oh wow, everyone knows my most hated dish is the
- 7:29Speaker 1: pickled egg.
- 7:31Speaker 3: That was the only dish on this show that I
- 7:33Speaker 3: couldn't make it through.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I don't like pickles. Ei their side, I don't.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Know, imagine a pickled egg. Oh wow, absolutely discussing. Are
- 7:41Speaker 3: you sure you canna do.
- 7:41Speaker 2: This with them?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Now?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yes? This is hard because if I cut it the
- 7:46Speaker 2: other way, people are gonna be like that's not how
- 7:48Speaker 2: you cut it. They say you're supposed to cut it.
- 7:50Speaker 3: It's audio girl, cut it whatever the way that makes
- 7:52Speaker 3: us live. You know what, I'll cut the knife. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 3: that's knife probably, Oh girl watching, you know, I'm.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Good, I'm not scared. I'll use this little one since
- 8:03Speaker 2: I'm only gonna use a little bit of onions.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Okay, good, there you go, Thank goodness, there you go.
- 8:10Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, you could just put all that stuff
- 8:13Speaker 1: in this little yeah, back right here. So you're over
- 8:17Speaker 1: there loving it up with boo thing in a house
- 8:21Speaker 1: with all the homies, all the brothers.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Right, Okay, so what happens? You know what I was like,
- 8:29Speaker 2: I don't think I ever found myself at that time.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I was just kind of like, you know, because when
- 8:35Speaker 2: you're in love, you kinda tend to please the other
- 8:38Speaker 2: person and see, okay, where are we going? Where is this?
- 8:41Speaker 2: And you know, as women, we mature like more than
- 8:45Speaker 2: men quicker. So it's kind of struggling, you know. I
- 8:49Speaker 2: was just having different jobs all the time I've been
- 8:51Speaker 2: that time. When I was younger, I would have any
- 8:53Speaker 2: type of job. I would never be jobless, but I
- 8:55Speaker 2: have different type of jobs, always have receptionists. Oh my
- 8:59Speaker 2: god time. Nobody knows this. I ended up working as
- 9:02Speaker 2: a receptionist in a place that they do massages, but
- 9:06Speaker 2: I didn't know it was kind of weird massages with
- 9:08Speaker 2: a happy ending.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Oh.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I had no idea. I was like twenty or something.
- 9:13Speaker 2: But I was just a receptionist. Because the guys walked
- 9:17Speaker 2: in and then they would be like, I'm here for
- 9:20Speaker 2: the ad on the newspaper, and I'll be like okay,
- 9:23Speaker 2: and I'd have the prices of the massages, all innocent,
- 9:27Speaker 2: but then they would be like, oh, what kind of
- 9:29Speaker 2: girls do you have? And like and then girls will
- 9:33Speaker 2: walk in and be like, hey, I'm here to see
- 9:35Speaker 2: if you guys are are hiring. But I do everything
- 9:39Speaker 2: and I was like, what do you mean everything? And
- 9:42Speaker 2: then I did not. I quit after like a week.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But I had no idea. I was just a receptionist.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And then the owner started asking me because when I
- 9:52Speaker 2: was younger, like I was like, skinnier, prettier, you know everything,
- 9:56Speaker 2: what do.
- 9:56Speaker 3: You down do?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah? And I was like, no, I I don't know
- 10:00Speaker 2: how to do massages. I don't and yeah, and then
- 10:05Speaker 2: like but the guys will ask, hey, do you do
- 10:07Speaker 2: massages too, and I'll be like no, you know, and
- 10:11Speaker 2: then the owner was like, you know, it's suspicious. They
- 10:14Speaker 2: was like it they were all Asian.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, so it was like we were.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And then I found out and I was like, I
- 10:21Speaker 2: can't work here. Yeah, yeah, this is not a good environment.
- 10:25Speaker 2: So I have all types of jobs.
- 10:27Speaker 3: That's a crazy yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I could have only imagine working in a job where
- 10:32Speaker 1: that goes down.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So m hm.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So after all these jobs, what is the thing that
- 10:39Speaker 1: takes you into the next direction towards entrepreneurship.
- 10:42Speaker 2: And then you know, I did graduate from high school.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know, I always I and my family from my
- 10:48Speaker 2: mom's side, everybody went to school. Everybody had that formation.
- 10:52Speaker 2: So I always wanted to have that because I was like,
- 10:55Speaker 2: you know, race like that, you know, finished school. Like
- 10:58Speaker 2: you know, I had a good childhood. I didn't have
- 11:00Speaker 2: like you know, I always had everything in regards to
- 11:03Speaker 2: material stuff. Maybe there were some things that I needed,
- 11:06Speaker 2: but I was always formed to go to school, finished this.
- 11:10Speaker 2: So even with some little problems here and there, I
- 11:14Speaker 2: still graduated from high school. And then I remember I
- 11:18Speaker 2: went to a clinic and I said, oh, I want
- 11:20Speaker 2: to be a medical assistant. So I did it. I'm
- 11:22Speaker 2: that type of person that if I say I'm gonna
- 11:24Speaker 2: do something, I do it like I put it out
- 11:26Speaker 2: there now I'm gonna go do it. So I went
- 11:30Speaker 2: to school, like a private school for medical assistant. I graduated,
- 11:34Speaker 2: and I started working in different clinics. So I entered
- 11:37Speaker 2: this new era of the medical field. I started working
- 11:41Speaker 2: with like you know, general doctors, pediatricians with everything. And
- 11:46Speaker 2: then I started then working with the for the county
- 11:50Speaker 2: life with the insurance and and stuff. And then I
- 11:53Speaker 2: kind of went into the PR department because they have
- 11:56Speaker 2: PR as well, it's crazy, you know, and then they
- 11:58Speaker 2: have case managing. I went into that level. And then
- 12:02Speaker 2: but I was getting burned out because I felt trapped,
- 12:05Speaker 2: like in a desk. I felt yeah, And then my
- 12:09Speaker 2: dad would always be like, this is not what you're doing.
- 12:12Speaker 2: This is not you. I look at you and I
- 12:14Speaker 2: see you doing bigger things. And when you're young, you're
- 12:17Speaker 2: like you brought your eyes your parents and like, oh
- 12:19Speaker 2: my god. No. But then I started watching the TLC,
- 12:24Speaker 2: like the wedding planning thing, and I went online and
- 12:27Speaker 2: I did a wedding planning thing and I said, now
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm going to be a wedding planner, and I did.
- 12:32Speaker 2: So I started, like, you know, calling my friends or
- 12:36Speaker 2: like if I knew somebody was getting married, I'll be like,
- 12:38Speaker 2: I'll do it. I'll plan it for you, just pay
- 12:40Speaker 2: me this much. Then I met a lady. She had
- 12:43Speaker 2: like three venues to do parties, and I also told her, hey,
- 12:47Speaker 2: you know you do weddings, but you don't have a
- 12:49Speaker 2: wedding planner. Here, can I do three or four of
- 12:51Speaker 2: your weddings? And I did, and then all of a sudden,
- 12:54Speaker 2: I was booking halls and stuff. So I'm just always
- 12:58Speaker 2: trying to like wait, like you know, and that's what happened.
- 13:02Speaker 2: But one day I quit, and now I'm here.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So you quit, you went from but you start, but
- 13:08Speaker 1: you okay, you quit the wedding planning.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Well, now that was like I was doing that on
- 13:14Speaker 2: the side from the medical field because I was on
- 13:16Speaker 2: the medical field like for over ten years, like ten years,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and now I was young.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Now what are you doing exactly?
- 13:23Speaker 2: So now I do public relations and now I do
- 13:28Speaker 2: marketing and branding, and then I work with the influencers.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, who are some of the people that he have
- 13:42Speaker 1: done public relations for?
- 13:45Speaker 2: I work with this company. It's a promoter called Bobby
- 13:48Speaker 2: the Presents. I've been hired by Live Nation and AG
- 13:52Speaker 2: for the Influencer program. I work with restaurants, chefs, I
- 13:59Speaker 2: work with the working in the music industry. I have
- 14:03Speaker 2: the opportunity to work with big people that live here
- 14:05Speaker 2: in La you know, the king of the West Coast,
- 14:08Speaker 2: Snoop Dog exactly. So that was challenging for me because
- 14:12Speaker 2: I'm Latina. But when I grew up, I'm from the
- 14:16Speaker 2: two thousands over there in high school, so of course
- 14:19Speaker 2: I know all the music.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I know that the.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Snoop that I skilled, the warrang the Eastsiders, all of that.
- 14:25Speaker 2: But then I remember when they look at me as
- 14:27Speaker 2: they're like, it's weird because it's like, she don't know
- 14:31Speaker 2: about this, I do, you know, because a lot of
- 14:33Speaker 2: people like they want to put me in this category
- 14:36Speaker 2: or she's only Latin. But then I know, like I.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Know, yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And I remember when we started working with Snoop with
- 14:43Speaker 2: Bobby de Presents, with this company, it was so amazing
- 14:47Speaker 2: because it was a black and brown together. And then
- 14:52Speaker 2: I remember Snoop was coming out with his new album
- 14:56Speaker 2: I Want to Thank Me, and it had been over
- 14:58Speaker 2: ten years since he dropped and a so I told Bobby, hey,
- 15:02Speaker 2: let's do a press conference and he's like, yeah, let's
- 15:04Speaker 2: do it, but I are you gonna be able to
- 15:05Speaker 2: pull it off? I'm like, oh my god. He was
- 15:07Speaker 2: so worried.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Of course, Oh my god.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And then they give me the worst date, which it
- 15:12Speaker 2: was these dates around the holidays, days before the media
- 15:16Speaker 2: would go in with their families. I had the most
- 15:19Speaker 2: challenging day to pull this day. I did it. I
- 15:22Speaker 2: did it. I did it. I pulled a good job.
- 15:25Speaker 3: So is that how you started getting into prs by
- 15:27Speaker 3: working with Bobby D?
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yes? By working with him? He we met one day.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I went to his office. He says, I like what
- 15:35Speaker 2: you do? You don't have much, but what I see
- 15:37Speaker 2: I like, and let's see. Let's go for it. He said,
- 15:42Speaker 2: I don't have nobody latin. I only have one black
- 15:45Speaker 2: girl doing the Bobby d Black TV. And I don't
- 15:47Speaker 2: know what happened in her, Like she left after I
- 15:50Speaker 2: got there. She left, I don't know, you know, and
- 15:53Speaker 2: then we grew together.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Wow, awesome. So you still have relationships with that whole
- 15:59Speaker 3: like the Snoop Dogs and all those.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, we have Kings of the West November thirtieth. But
- 16:04Speaker 2: you know you'll see this next year. It was sold out,
- 16:06Speaker 2: Oh for real?
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and you produce, you helped do the pr on it.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 16:11Speaker 3: That's awesome. And I'm guessing you're gonna need this.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Yes, mix everything corn, tomato and the onions. And you
- 16:19Speaker 2: want to like mix it so it could be like
- 16:21Speaker 2: really in you know, not just throw it there like separate.
- 16:25Speaker 2: You want to really mix it there so you can
- 16:27Speaker 2: have it really mixed together.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I'm really curious.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Then I put salt because the salt gives it like
- 16:34Speaker 2: because if you don't put salt, it's a little dry,
- 16:36Speaker 2: you know. And this one was like the chunk the
- 16:40Speaker 2: water tuna. So I like the water, but I don't
- 16:45Speaker 2: mind the oil. But it's better if you drain it
- 16:47Speaker 2: because it gets to watery, you know, especially if you're
- 16:50Speaker 2: gonna mix it with chips or rice, you know. Okay,
- 16:53Speaker 2: So you put a little the salt before and then
- 16:56Speaker 2: you start putting the mail. After you put the salt
- 17:00Speaker 2: so you could give it some flavor, you know, mm hmm,
- 17:04Speaker 2: and then you start mixing it.
- 17:07Speaker 3: See how it goes?
- 17:08Speaker 1: So now, and I slowly want to get to the
- 17:12Speaker 1: thing that I'm most excited about, which is some of
- 17:15Speaker 1: your most recent adventures. So now you're still doing pr Yes,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and you're still working with the influencers and the artists.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The thing that I really want to know is how
- 17:25Speaker 1: you started getting into Patty Pandulce cookies.
- 17:30Speaker 2: You know what, I owed that to myself because everybody
- 17:34Speaker 2: would always be mad at me, Like the people close
- 17:37Speaker 2: to me, they'll be like, Okay, why don't you do
- 17:39Speaker 2: something for you? Come on, drop something, drop a hoodie,
- 17:42Speaker 2: drop a shirt, and I would just ignore it. But
- 17:46Speaker 2: Bobby D's office, they would call me Patty Pandulce. So
- 17:50Speaker 2: every time I would go pick up my check or something,
- 17:52Speaker 2: here she comes Patty Pandulce. And then that's I get.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Too, because like you were the only Latino, well not.
- 18:00Speaker 2: There was a few Latinas there, but I was sweet
- 18:02Speaker 2: and then I don't know them. I reminded them of
- 18:05Speaker 2: the Pandulce like I don't know, so it was, you know,
- 18:09Speaker 2: shut out to Booby. He started calling me that, and
- 18:11Speaker 2: then the whole office started calling me that. So I
- 18:14Speaker 2: thought I was super cute, you know, Paddy Panduluce and
- 18:17Speaker 2: the pandu. I love Pandulce is the Mexican bread, you know,
- 18:21Speaker 2: and people know them. They know them as Mexican bread
- 18:24Speaker 2: or conscirasty, you know either.
- 18:26Speaker 3: That's what I learned about. I just started eating that
- 18:29Speaker 3: like in the last year.
- 18:32Speaker 2: So yes, so I always said, you know, and they
- 18:38Speaker 2: just stayed like that. But one, I love unicorns and
- 18:42Speaker 2: I feel like they're so magical, so cute, like you know,
- 18:45Speaker 2: I was just like I've been like gravitated to them.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I like them, you know, and I will be like
- 18:51Speaker 2: Paddy pandul I'm like, imagine a unicorn eating a bandulce,
- 18:55Speaker 2: Like wow, like I never seen that. Nobody. It's not
- 18:57Speaker 2: even out there. There's no unicorns, and they're real, like,
- 19:01Speaker 2: you know, my dad says they're real. So I've been
- 19:03Speaker 2: saying that the curts are real.
- 19:05Speaker 3: So send us a picture, I know.
- 19:09Speaker 2: So I'm gonna serve you.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Oh you can just put in the middle. We could
- 19:13Speaker 3: eat it.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Okay, that's right.
- 19:15Speaker 3: We're family on this show.
- 19:17Speaker 2: This is This was so simple and I hope she
- 19:20Speaker 2: likes it.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I can't wait to try this.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Here we go, Ready, go ahead, grab a chip, makes
- 19:25Speaker 1: sure it's everything you.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Here we go here we go. I'm never making a
- 19:30Speaker 3: tune sandwich the same again.
- 19:32Speaker 2: It's so good. And with the cheese ruffles, you'll see
- 19:36Speaker 2: when you're trying.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Even with the cheese ruffles, but even if you did
- 19:39Speaker 3: this on bread, it's so much better too.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Like oh yeah, oh my god, definitely, and this will
- 19:46Speaker 2: keep you full and it's good.
- 19:49Speaker 3: That's fantastic. And I could taste the salt. I can
- 19:53Speaker 3: see why you need the salt. This is fantastic. I'm
- 19:56Speaker 3: trying to see if I can get onion. I would
- 19:57Speaker 3: eat this whole damn thing, h because because it.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Gives you a flavor, so the soul gives it the flavor,
- 20:04Speaker 2: the tune of the flavor mm hmm. Brilliant mm hmm,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and then some kool aid.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Honestly, this is really good. I don't think you need
- 20:15Speaker 3: the cheddar ones.
- 20:16Speaker 2: No, with the cheddar ones, you'll be like, oh my god.
- 20:22Speaker 2: So then you'll be like, oh, I'm gonna make me
- 20:23Speaker 2: that because then it's addicting, so you'll be like, I
- 20:26Speaker 2: want to make that with the cheddar.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I promise, this is really good. This whole thing you.
- 20:33Speaker 2: See, you see told you this is hitting.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Who would have ever thought that's right.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's nice, it's cheap, affordable.
- 20:43Speaker 3: You don't need a stove, everyone, you.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Don't need a stove. You just do it just a knife.
- 20:47Speaker 2: And when I point out, ye see, I could do
- 20:54Speaker 2: it with the nails too.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Brilliant dish. Mm hmm, I shouldn't let you do more onions.
- 21:01Speaker 2: See well, I just wanted to take it easy onion
- 21:04Speaker 2: since you don't do a lot.
- 21:05Speaker 3: But this dish is actually very impressive.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I'm very affordable, very easy to make for all your
- 21:13Speaker 1: high school is dealing with the moms that work a lot.
- 21:16Speaker 2: This will do it. That's right.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And the only thing I would recommend is the school aid.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You guys gotta get the kool aid. The kool aid.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I promise you you're gonna text me a picture of
- 21:26Speaker 3: the school age she.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Is on her number two.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Fourth one. This dish is impressive. So take me back
- 21:36Speaker 3: to Patty pand oh yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 2: So then I was like, the pandemic came and I
- 21:45Speaker 2: was like, I need to maybe start thinking about dropping something.
- 21:51Speaker 2: So I had a couple of people like at graphic Designers.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I was like, look, I wanted you on a corn
- 21:56Speaker 2: eating a conta and They're like, okay, so I have
- 22:00Speaker 2: a couple of sketches of the unicorns. The first ones
- 22:05Speaker 2: I one it was like the whole horse with just
- 22:08Speaker 2: the little horn but with eyelashes. But the I didn't
- 22:14Speaker 2: see like the bandulce, like because he was standing and like.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Your original thought was just merch. It wasn't even the
- 22:23Speaker 1: yet Okay, no, no, it was.
- 22:25Speaker 2: The actually, so I said, oh my god, I don't
- 22:28Speaker 2: want to do makeup. I don't I want to do
- 22:30Speaker 2: I want to be different. I'm gonna do the bread.
- 22:33Speaker 2: So then the the artist they started sketching. Then he
- 22:38Speaker 2: didn't want to like going out of space, eating the
- 22:41Speaker 2: conca out of space like, but the little pandulsa was
- 22:45Speaker 2: like on the side, and I'm like, no, why don't
- 22:48Speaker 2: we do like a little cartoon one, like a fluffy
- 22:51Speaker 2: one but actually like holding it because I want him
- 22:54Speaker 2: or her? Yeah yeah, oh my gosh. I don't know
- 22:58Speaker 2: if you've seen the logo. I know she showed you
- 23:01Speaker 2: the logo. That's the logo of the So finally, my
- 23:06Speaker 2: friend Orlando, he's an amazing graphic designer. I told him
- 23:10Speaker 2: this is what I want. So when he finally sent
- 23:13Speaker 2: me the schedule, I was like, oh my God, this
- 23:15Speaker 2: is so cute. This is it. And it's wearing like
- 23:18Speaker 2: a little winky, like a little pajama thing, I don't know,
- 23:21Speaker 2: some little clothes with the little pandulas on and he's holding.
- 23:27Speaker 2: So now my next thought was like, okay, I'm not
- 23:31Speaker 2: a baker. I don't bake, but it's okay. It's my idea,
- 23:35Speaker 2: is my bision whatever. That's how people get great together.
- 23:39Speaker 2: So I was like, now I need somebody to make
- 23:42Speaker 2: this as unicorne colors. So it's the bandulus with unicorne colors.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And if you see the pandula it actually some of
- 23:50Speaker 2: them already have unicorne colors. You see the pink one,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you see like the green one, the pink one that
- 23:55Speaker 2: makes it so cool exactly. So now we got to
- 23:57Speaker 2: put it together and just be the flavor. And you know,
- 24:02Speaker 2: now I went to many bakeries before, and then I
- 24:06Speaker 2: tried so much mon do will say. I was already
- 24:08Speaker 2: full because I wanted to see like which one was,
- 24:11Speaker 2: like the best one, you know, and then go and
- 24:14Speaker 2: talk to them and things like that, you know, but
- 24:17Speaker 2: it just didn't happen. For some reason, I got more work.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I kind of lose track and ambition of the project.
- 24:24Speaker 3: And this is all going on during the pandemic.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yes, and then I didn't put my energy on the project,
- 24:29Speaker 2: so again another year nothing. Twenty twenty one was really
- 24:34Speaker 2: hard for me. I was going through like a separation
- 24:37Speaker 2: and everything, so again put into the back twenty twenty
- 24:40Speaker 2: two like a nasty breakup, like a toxic relationship, like
- 24:46Speaker 2: trying to put myself back together. And I still work
- 24:48Speaker 2: because nobody knows I'm going through things. I look like
- 24:52Speaker 2: a champ all the time. I could be following apart.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Nobody will know.
- 24:55Speaker 1: But do you do you have like a soundboard at home,
- 24:57Speaker 1: like your girlfriends that are like keeping you.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, or like I have people like be like don't
- 25:02Speaker 2: forget about you because here you are still working hustling,
- 25:06Speaker 2: and like what about you? And then I was like,
- 25:09Speaker 2: but what if I do this? Nobody likes it? Like
- 25:12Speaker 2: what stupid? Like all this idea because you're your worst
- 25:14Speaker 2: and of course like not even your haters and people
- 25:18Speaker 2: don't like it. It's you. You're the one that always
- 25:21Speaker 2: like you're so bad to yourself, you know. So finally,
- 25:32Speaker 2: just three months ago, I met Philippe. Philippe is the
- 25:39Speaker 2: founder and creator of Philippe's creations. He's a baker. He
- 25:43Speaker 2: does cakes and wonderful cookies. And he lives in Houston, Texas, not.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Even here, so where'd you meet him?
- 25:52Speaker 2: So I used to manage an influencer and he introduced
- 25:57Speaker 2: me to Philippe a couple of months ago, and he said, hey,
- 26:00Speaker 2: Felippe doesn't just want to be a baker. He has
- 26:03Speaker 2: good numbers on TikTok and he's very handsome, very smart.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And then I feel like, you guys maybe can work
- 26:10Speaker 2: together and maybe guide him, because having a manager is
- 26:14Speaker 2: not about just a brandials having a manager is like,
- 26:17Speaker 2: oh no, you need to talk this way like coach
- 26:20Speaker 2: and all these things. So I met with him. We
- 26:23Speaker 2: talked a little bit on the phone, but I'm nothing concrete.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Then I had some downtime and I contacted him and
- 26:30Speaker 2: then he signed under me under my talent agency, just
- 26:34Speaker 2: so we can see what we can do with him
- 26:36Speaker 2: as far as more opportunities or attending events or more exposure. Right,
- 26:42Speaker 2: So one day I said, hey, you know what, it's
- 26:44Speaker 2: so funny that you're a baker and he said why.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I'm like, because go girl, go Patty, go ahead.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Do you elevate a pitch.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because you know what I been wanting to do
- 26:57Speaker 2: this Bandu s but I wanted it be like a unicorn.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You need uniquoncha you So that's what it's like, a
- 27:07Speaker 2: unique concha and I want it. I want it like
- 27:12Speaker 2: to make make like make it pretty this color is,
- 27:15Speaker 2: but make it magical like not just any like you know,
- 27:19Speaker 2: I imagine a unit corn eating a He's like, oh
- 27:22Speaker 2: my god, I love it. He didn't say no wow,
- 27:25Speaker 2: like no, like he took the time to listen to
- 27:29Speaker 2: my idea and stuff. And he's like, I don't do pandul,
- 27:33Speaker 2: but I have this band cookies and they're my top cellars.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So he has like this pink one and a brow
- 27:41Speaker 2: one because they when you make that powder, you can
- 27:46Speaker 2: make it taste like panduce, even if you do it
- 27:48Speaker 2: as a cookie or as whatever. So I said, okay,
- 27:52Speaker 2: so can you make the colors of the UNI like
- 27:55Speaker 2: a unicorn and make it taste like the bandu like
- 27:58Speaker 2: the whatever. He's like, yeah, let me send you some
- 28:00Speaker 2: samples and let's go. And I was like, I can't
- 28:03Speaker 2: believe I'm finally even sample like because I wasn't even moving.
- 28:09Speaker 2: So he sent me some colors, and he sent me
- 28:12Speaker 2: like five or six. He was quick about it.
- 28:14Speaker 3: He's so all the way from Houston.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yes, okay, because his ships worldwide and stuff. And you know,
- 28:22Speaker 2: when you taste something good, that the person and this
- 28:25Speaker 2: is what the Pandula said with the cookies, with the cakes,
- 28:28Speaker 2: when you taste something good, you know they use good
- 28:30Speaker 2: butter that is expensive, good eggs and everything. That's how
- 28:33Speaker 2: you know, like if something lives for a long time,
- 28:37Speaker 2: the bread or the cookie or the band, that they
- 28:40Speaker 2: use good quality ingredients. So my cookie, our cookie, our
- 28:45Speaker 2: pandulce uniconca, it could last like a two weeks one week,
- 28:51Speaker 2: so anyways before I get there. So he sent me
- 28:54Speaker 2: the samples with all the colors, and you gotta be
- 28:57Speaker 2: careful because Mermaid colors are very close unicorn colors.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah, So you're like, oh, it's too much purple. No, no, no,
- 29:05Speaker 2: if you if you know, you know, if you're like unicorns,
- 29:07Speaker 2: you know, they're a little more pastil. And we're like,
- 29:10Speaker 2: you know, be careful. So we finally came with the
- 29:13Speaker 2: colors and then he's like, what if I added the glitter.
- 29:16Speaker 3: That's what I was gonna say. Glitters where it's.
- 29:18Speaker 2: At, and we added the glitter and it just looked beautiful.
- 29:23Speaker 2: So everybody that I showed it to before we decided,
- 29:26Speaker 2: they're like, oh my god, that's so you as beautiful.
- 29:29Speaker 2: It's perfect. It's gonna be great. So we said, okay,
- 29:33Speaker 2: let's do a big one and like mini ones, and
- 29:36Speaker 2: then we came with the right color with the glitter
- 29:40Speaker 2: the packaging, and then we launched Wow and that's it.
- 29:44Speaker 2: But yeah, we did decided to do it as a
- 29:46Speaker 2: cookie because he does cookies.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I like the cookie idea better to be honest.
- 29:50Speaker 2: But it tastes like a kunta and it's dog friendly
- 29:55Speaker 2: because I gave it to my dog. He didn't get
- 29:58Speaker 2: sick nothing, and it's not too And then I knew
- 30:01Speaker 2: it was good because my dad. You know, when you
- 30:04Speaker 2: meet people, they're like, oh no, no, no, I'm not a
- 30:05Speaker 2: sweet person. No, no, thank you, no, no, no, it's okay.
- 30:08Speaker 2: He's like, I actually like I want more because I'm
- 30:10Speaker 2: not like a person to be eating sweets. And he
- 30:13Speaker 2: liked it, and a lot of people did. It wasn't
- 30:16Speaker 2: like one or two. They're like, this is good. I
- 30:19Speaker 2: think it's gonna be mad and you can't even taste
- 30:21Speaker 2: the glitter, like it's just there and makes it's so
- 30:23Speaker 2: pretty and it's there. It's like the only concient. That's
- 30:27Speaker 2: what what happened.
- 30:29Speaker 1: So what would you say were some of the hurdles
- 30:31Speaker 1: to this whole process?
- 30:35Speaker 2: You know what at the beginning was like not even
- 30:40Speaker 2: hard because when two people agree and they're excited about it,
- 30:43Speaker 2: it could happen. Actually, this is what was hard about it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: It was getting the support from people that said that
- 30:50Speaker 2: we're gonna be there for you to support you. And
- 30:52Speaker 2: that's crazy. Give me an example, like when I was
- 30:57Speaker 2: putting the lounge party together, or when I was putting
- 31:00Speaker 2: in certain things to to before we did the lounge,
- 31:05Speaker 2: like I needed certain things, Hey I need this for
- 31:08Speaker 2: my lounch right, or can you give me a discount
- 31:11Speaker 2: on this? I'm paying for it, like I don't want
- 31:13Speaker 2: anything for free.
- 31:14Speaker 3: But look I'm gonna get a small or.
- 31:18Speaker 2: You know what, I'm gonna do this party. Can you
- 31:20Speaker 2: come and promote it? You know, And a lot of
- 31:24Speaker 2: people that said they would be there, they weren't there.
- 31:26Speaker 2: A lot of people disappeared, never heard from them. And
- 31:30Speaker 2: it was not even putting this together because we have
- 31:34Speaker 2: all the elements. We had, the the the unic we
- 31:39Speaker 2: had the name where, we had the logo Felippe had
- 31:43Speaker 2: the cookies that the concept braty. We packed and I
- 31:46Speaker 2: went to Houston, where he's from, and we did a
- 31:50Speaker 2: photo shoot. We did our whole branding stuff, and we've
- 31:52Speaker 2: been posting and we're gonna be posting throughout this month,
- 31:55Speaker 2: next month, all year.
- 31:56Speaker 3: You know, I think that's Susan in the pictures a lot.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yes, he's the the chef, you know, the bigger the gun.
- 32:02Speaker 3: So now you guys are in this partnership now. Is
- 32:05Speaker 3: he based in Houston?
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yes. And it's so funny because one of my friends,
- 32:09Speaker 2: like after the pandemic or I want to say, close
- 32:12Speaker 2: to the pandemic, she has showed me like another provider,
- 32:17Speaker 2: like a distributor of cookies from Houston, the same thing,
- 32:24Speaker 2: but they were like little mini concitas and she's like,
- 32:27Speaker 2: look I picture your product like this, and I was like,
- 32:30Speaker 2: it's so cute. So I reached out to them and
- 32:32Speaker 2: I said, look, I'm interested in a partnership where if
- 32:35Speaker 2: we can you know, it says that you have a
- 32:37Speaker 2: big warehouse that maybe you can create my product. And
- 32:41Speaker 2: La da da. They're like, we're not taking orders cert
- 32:43Speaker 2: and we're not interested in collaborating and we're not taking
- 32:46Speaker 2: even paid and now they don't exist anymore.
- 32:49Speaker 3: That's so funny. See.
- 32:50Speaker 2: And they were from Houston too, Yeah, and Philippe's from Houston.
- 32:55Speaker 1: It's like a little like Manifesto on both sides. Philippe
- 33:00Speaker 1: needed his support in one way, and you know, someone
- 33:04Speaker 1: brought you all together and then you kind of needed
- 33:06Speaker 1: this thing and it just kind of worked out when
- 33:08Speaker 1: you guys.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Yes and we kind of united. Yes. So yes, And
- 33:12Speaker 2: even if I only sold one cookie or two, I
- 33:15Speaker 2: would have been happy and proud of myself that I
- 33:17Speaker 2: did it, rather than why didn't I never do it?
- 33:21Speaker 2: I didn't like, you know, because a lot of people
- 33:23Speaker 2: don't go for it because they're like, okay, I didn't
- 33:26Speaker 2: sell anything. But you know a lot of people that
- 33:28Speaker 2: have multiple businesses or there are millionaires or what or whatnot,
- 33:33Speaker 2: they do multiple businesses and they failed, or they do
- 33:36Speaker 2: another one, or they have different sources of income, and
- 33:39Speaker 2: that's what you're supposed to do.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Well, I'll tell you, just knowing what I know about
- 33:44Speaker 1: La market, that is going to be a hit because
- 33:49Speaker 1: Pandul say is huge out here.
- 33:52Speaker 2: People love it.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You know, it's like a cultural it's also culturally like
- 33:57Speaker 1: embedded in the culture. But to have the cookie as
- 33:59Speaker 1: the new improve next generation model is great, don't you
- 34:03Speaker 1: think I too?
- 34:05Speaker 3: I think so, and I wait to see one in person.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Yes the whole time, guys, just so you know, she
- 34:10Speaker 1: walked in within five minutes, Like, how soon can I
- 34:12Speaker 1: get them.
- 34:14Speaker 2: What I need them tomorrow?
- 34:16Speaker 3: I was trying to get them today. I was like,
- 34:18Speaker 3: can you bring them for the show so everyone can
- 34:20Speaker 3: see them?
- 34:21Speaker 2: And I promise you there's still be our boxes that
- 34:23Speaker 2: need to be our or like influencers, artists like so
- 34:27Speaker 2: it's not like you know, and I love it because
- 34:30Speaker 2: it's kind of like exclusive, like people want it and okay,
- 34:33Speaker 2: I'm gonna get it, yes, you know, but you know,
- 34:35Speaker 2: obviously the goal is for people to walk in the
- 34:37Speaker 2: store and get it. But I mean you could get
- 34:40Speaker 2: it online and you know it's a good product.
- 34:42Speaker 3: So are you going to go to buy it?
- 34:44Speaker 2: You go to it right now, you go to Philippes
- 34:46Speaker 2: Creations that come and you can get it. But pretty
- 34:49Speaker 2: soon after our collaboration is done, they're gonna be sold
- 34:53Speaker 2: at my own website, which will be Patty Pandulce. Okay,
- 34:57Speaker 2: so on Instagram it's Patty Pandulce. So then when I
- 35:01Speaker 2: have my own website after our collaboration is done for
- 35:04Speaker 2: the drop, then it would be by there's like my
- 35:08Speaker 2: own website.
- 35:08Speaker 3: There, okay, perfect perfect a.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Felipe will always be part of my journey as far
- 35:13Speaker 2: as like creating or something because his work ethic is
- 35:17Speaker 2: very good.
- 35:18Speaker 3: So now a day in the life, are you flying
- 35:20Speaker 3: back and forth between Houston and LA.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And not really? It's just like I met some friends
- 35:25Speaker 2: and they're from Houston, and there's a lot of work
- 35:27Speaker 2: in Houston, believe it or not, you know, or a
- 35:30Speaker 2: lot of people from Houston come to LA to find work,
- 35:33Speaker 2: whether it's makeup, art is like spas and all of that.
- 35:39Speaker 3: So are you still managing the PR side and this
- 35:42Speaker 3: new new venture?
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yes?
- 35:43Speaker 3: How do you juggle both ventures as an entrepreneur?
- 35:49Speaker 2: So you know what depends Like if I'm done with
- 35:52Speaker 2: the contract with the client, then I can jump on
- 35:54Speaker 2: the next project. And I know, like you know right now,
- 35:58Speaker 2: since it's so brand new, it's not like too crazy,
- 36:02Speaker 2: it's just structuring and see what it worked. It didn't
- 36:05Speaker 2: work the cells, like you know what you look. But
- 36:09Speaker 2: when you love what you do, like it's manageable, I
- 36:12Speaker 2: don't feel like crazy only when it's a lot of
- 36:15Speaker 2: projects going on at once sometimes.
- 36:17Speaker 1: But what advice do you give to brand new influencers
- 36:21Speaker 1: or people trying to get more following in their brands?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Create content? You know, it just can happen with you
- 36:31Speaker 2: just sitting at home. All the creators and the influencers
- 36:35Speaker 2: that have made it and they are popping or that
- 36:38Speaker 2: are like good. They create content, and they always need somebody,
- 36:44Speaker 2: whether it's a parent, where it's a friend, to see
- 36:48Speaker 2: how they can structure. Because I seen and I have
- 36:51Speaker 2: talked to so many influencers that have a lot of
- 36:55Speaker 2: following and they don't know what they're doing. So what's
- 36:58Speaker 2: next is I have a lot of following, So how
- 37:00Speaker 2: can I make money? Number one? They don't know how
- 37:02Speaker 2: to do that. Number two, they don't know like after
- 37:05Speaker 2: they get a brand deal, like what to do with
- 37:08Speaker 2: that money? It might be a one hit wonder they
- 37:11Speaker 2: didn't save that money, they wasted it. So all of
- 37:13Speaker 2: that and for a brand, you know, just like mine,
- 37:17Speaker 2: and how I see other brands like don't give up
- 37:20Speaker 2: like you gotta start from the ground up. And a
- 37:23Speaker 2: lot of artists, brands and influencers they want now like
- 37:27Speaker 2: they want it quick. They want to be on complex
- 37:30Speaker 2: right away like World hip Hop or what you know
- 37:33Speaker 2: that one like, or they want to be on TMC.
- 37:35Speaker 2: It's like, who are you? You're not known right now
- 37:39Speaker 2: you can be we can't talk about you. We gotta
- 37:43Speaker 2: start baby stuff. So like I mean, if you want
- 37:47Speaker 2: to pay to play, because that's how a lot of
- 37:50Speaker 2: people do, then by all means, but if you don't
- 37:52Speaker 2: have the funds to pay to play, then you gotta
- 37:56Speaker 2: go slow, and you gotta be patient and continue to
- 37:59Speaker 2: be discipline and do the work because a lot of
- 38:02Speaker 2: people don't put the work. I tell people on box
- 38:06Speaker 2: talk about it, like brands are looking at what you do.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Use discount codes like learn to talk, shop, learn how
- 38:12Speaker 2: to get more followers even if you have one viewer.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Just stay there, like go live like all these things you.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Say it is even stay there, stay there? Where do
- 38:21Speaker 3: you see Patty? Don't say going in stores? I think
- 38:25Speaker 3: so too.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I think coffee shops and like people getting just you know,
- 38:30Speaker 2: getting it there. That's what I want.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And then how did you and Philippe or did he
- 38:35Speaker 1: help you when it comes to pricing the cookies and
- 38:38Speaker 1: how does the pricing go with that?
- 38:39Speaker 2: You know, why do you study the market and you
- 38:42Speaker 2: see like example, like cookie crumble, like this other one.
- 38:45Speaker 2: How how much of their marketing like a cookie like
- 38:49Speaker 2: a mini cookie, the wait, you know, the pattering. Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 2: they're expensive and you know what, some people like it.
- 38:56Speaker 3: It's experience the paper. So some of those cookies, it's
- 38:59Speaker 3: definitely the experien.
- 39:00Speaker 2: And I want my experience because you know a lot
- 39:02Speaker 2: of people are like, oh my god, I want to
- 39:04Speaker 2: try to contact with glitter and it's like a unicorn.
- 39:06Speaker 2: So it's that experience you want to try it. So yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 2: I definitely give the audience an experience.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Have you heard of the brand Afro Unicorn.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I think yes, yes in Walmart, I.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Said, distributed all major retailers. She was on the show.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I would love to see you, of course.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I think that there could be a collab there, absolutely, yes,
- 39:29Speaker 3: because you love unicorns. She's the Afro Unicorn. Hello, don't
- 39:34Speaker 3: say yes.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I think there's some kind of and she already has
- 39:38Speaker 1: the distribution locked in there you go, who knows?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Who knows? People that believe in unicorns. Those are my people.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Yeah, the magical place. Well, where can everyone keep up
- 39:50Speaker 1: with you? And thank you for blessing me with such
- 39:53Speaker 1: a good meal?
- 39:53Speaker 2: I ate look at the bills finish that she ate me.
- 39:56Speaker 3: I was so.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Embarrassed, guys, because I could not stop eating it during
- 39:59Speaker 1: But there's like literally none left. This is awesome. Like
- 40:04Speaker 1: sometimes being on this show, it's really cool. I'm a mom,
- 40:07Speaker 1: I'm a single mom, just brand new mom, and sometimes
- 40:10Speaker 1: you know you're looking in the fridge and you're trying
- 40:12Speaker 1: to impress your kid and you don't know what you
- 40:14Speaker 1: could throw together.
- 40:16Speaker 3: This right here, this you can do. Guys.
- 40:19Speaker 1: If anybody has taught me is yeah, these dishes on
- 40:22Speaker 1: here can definitely like I never thought of that, but
- 40:25Speaker 1: this is the new way to eat tuna, tomato, dice
- 40:28Speaker 1: tomato chopped up onion mao, and corn with tuna with some.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Cheddar ruffles and some salt.
- 40:38Speaker 1: That's where it's at, all right, guys, Tell Patty, tell
- 40:41Speaker 1: everybody where they could keep up with you into that camera.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you want to keep up with me
- 40:47Speaker 2: and see what snags, follow me up. Patty Taurus PR.
