Deputy Shoots Suspect at Sonny's Marathon | Charleston News
At 12:15 AM, deputies responded to a live burglary at a Sonny’s Marathon on Boone Hill Road in Summerville, where they encountered an armed suspect—later identified as 36-year-old Ismael Jerrod Clark. A shot was fired, and Clark died shortly after 1 AM at HCA Trident Healthcare. SLED is now leading the investigation, as requested by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, with Sheriff Sam Richardson scheduled to release more details later today.
