- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Shore. Welcome to them naughty but nice show. I'm
- 0:15Speaker 1: your host, Rob Shooters, joined every Monday by our dear
- 0:18Speaker 1: friend Garrett Vogel from C one hundred. Hey Garrett, are
- 0:20Speaker 1: you there? Hello friend, Good to see you. It is
- 0:24Speaker 1: today like the day after the super Bowl for you,
- 0:26Speaker 1: because it was such a huge explosive day both in
- 0:30Speaker 1: in London and in the US and I or England.
- 0:35Speaker 1: How do you feel? It's really thank you for the question.
- 0:37Speaker 1: That's mechan would say, it's a really, really kind of
- 0:40Speaker 1: bizarre day for me. My head is spinning. Obviously. We're
- 0:43Speaker 1: talking about the big Oprah interview that aired last night.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I've been up since like three or four o'clock doing
- 0:48Speaker 1: British TV their five Hours Ahead all day long. I'm
- 0:51Speaker 1: all over TV talking about it. But we definitely wanted
- 0:53Speaker 1: to do as this is the priority. So let's get
- 0:56Speaker 1: in with all the gossip. Hey, Garretts, what time is it?
- 0:58Speaker 1: My friend? It's it's going to be an explosive details.
- 1:03Speaker 1: It's British tea today, English tea. So let's go over
- 1:06Speaker 1: some of the big, big moments in this interview. It
- 1:09Speaker 1: was explosive when Oprah said nothing was off limits. My goodness,
- 1:14Speaker 1: she meant it. In all the years I've been a
- 1:17Speaker 1: celebrity reporter, columnist, I was also a publicist for a while,
- 1:21Speaker 1: I've never seen an interview like this two hours, Garrett,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like it. What do you think interesting? Well,
- 1:29Speaker 1: you know what? And I think as a celebrity, a
- 1:32Speaker 1: lot of people don't know depending on the level of celebrity,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and people say, hey, here are the questions that are
- 1:39Speaker 1: awful limits, Like you know, if it was to be
- 1:41Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopez when she was dating Ben Affleck or did
- 1:44Speaker 1: he like, don't ask about all have stuff? And if
- 1:49Speaker 1: they do mention it, it's very brief. So if you're
- 1:52Speaker 1: interview in jen now you might talk about benefit, you might,
- 1:55Speaker 1: but if you one quick, quick question. So for Oprah
- 1:58Speaker 1: to do this, this is huge. But Megan did it too.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Like Megan was comfortable sitting there answering these questions, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: she came with the list of bombshells. Let's do the
- 2:08Speaker 1: first one. They were secretly married, Garrett, three days before
- 2:13Speaker 1: that wedding that two billion people watched, and our good selves, Garrett,
- 2:17Speaker 1: Let's be honest, we were part of the three days
- 2:20Speaker 1: before the wedding. They called up the archbishop. Well that's nice,
- 2:23Speaker 1: they've got his number. But they called him up and
- 2:25Speaker 1: he came over to their garden and he married them
- 2:27Speaker 1: in the backyard. And Megan said, nobody knows this, and
- 2:30Speaker 1: she actually went on to call the wedding a spectacle
- 2:35Speaker 1: for the world. I think a lot of people that
- 2:38Speaker 1: have been married, including ourselves, Garrett, these things can get
- 2:41Speaker 1: out of hand. So even though we didn't have a wedding,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I do sort of understand this, do you. Yeah, no,
- 2:47Speaker 1: we're because I think all couples, even if you're listening
- 2:50Speaker 1: right now, can all agree if you've ever been married before,
- 2:53Speaker 1: after the wedding you go they just should have wanted
- 2:55Speaker 1: to Vegas and you know, two people and just called
- 2:58Speaker 1: it a day because it is stressful. So I can
- 3:01Speaker 1: only imagine with the world on your shoulders and you're
- 3:04Speaker 1: trying to have a wedding with the love of your life.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I can't wrap my mind, I can't map my mouth.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So I think that's actually rather a sweet thing. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: like that they've just tied the knot together. Just the
- 3:15Speaker 1: Archbishop of Canterbury. That's fancy, and the two of them,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and when they say the backyard. It's not you and
- 3:21Speaker 1: me next to the trash cannon trampoline and this is
- 3:24Speaker 1: the next lotor recycling that this is a lovely backyard sower.
- 3:28Speaker 1: That's a nice, nice little story, she told me. It
- 3:31Speaker 1: really warmed my heart. Another story, Can I ask you
- 3:33Speaker 1: a question about about the archbisops Bishop. See, so I've
- 3:37Speaker 1: been watching all these shows on TV now, like right now,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm watching rain about Mary, Queen of Scots. And how
- 3:42Speaker 1: does the arch archbishop bishop not open his mouth and say, hey,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you know what I did a few days ago. Because
- 3:49Speaker 1: he reports to the biggest boss of all, so he's
- 3:51Speaker 1: not messing about with him upstairs. Let's move along, because
- 3:54Speaker 1: this one is the most shocking for me, the most
- 3:56Speaker 1: shocking revelation. They said. They both confirmed that there were
- 4:00Speaker 1: conversations about arches skin color. This is shocking. Oprah couldn't
- 4:06Speaker 1: believe what was being said. But Megan did say there
- 4:10Speaker 1: was concerns and conversations about how dark arches skin would
- 4:15Speaker 1: be when he was born. Harry confirmed this. So Harry
- 4:19Speaker 1: confirmed it. And Harry said he would not go into
- 4:22Speaker 1: details about this conversation, but it was horrific and for
- 4:26Speaker 1: him to say, you know it is true, like you
- 4:28Speaker 1: know what I mean, he didn't like you just say
- 4:31Speaker 1: oh no, no, no, it was no big deal. I
- 4:33Speaker 1: guess at the end of the day, and he would
- 4:35Speaker 1: know like when it comes to your child, you you're
- 4:39Speaker 1: going to tell the truth. You're not going to throw
- 4:40Speaker 1: your child under the bus and lie about your child
- 4:44Speaker 1: just to further your own agenda. You're you're you're going
- 4:47Speaker 1: to speak the truth. And for him to speak on
- 4:49Speaker 1: his child's behalf, it does say a lot. Does say
- 4:52Speaker 1: a lot? This is actually a pole question of the day.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You can go to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice
- 4:57Speaker 1: rather our Facebook page Naughty Gossip. Who do you think
- 5:00Speaker 1: had these conversations? So we don't know, it's speculation, but
- 5:04Speaker 1: this is what the buzz of England is today, the
- 5:05Speaker 1: buzz of the world. It's all over Twitter. Do you
- 5:07Speaker 1: think it was Prince Charles? So? Do you think it
- 5:09Speaker 1: was the Queen? Don't answer it, Garrett, So we can
- 5:11Speaker 1: let people go and vote. But who do you think
- 5:15Speaker 1: had these conversations? Harry said that it would be very
- 5:18Speaker 1: damaging to reveal, obviously who voiced these concerns, but I
- 5:23Speaker 1: do believe them that two of them did say that
- 5:25Speaker 1: these conversations happened. Now, this was another absolute bombshell. There
- 5:31Speaker 1: were reports out there, Garrett that Megan made Kate Kate
- 5:36Speaker 1: Middleton cry just before the wedding. Oprah asked her about
- 5:40Speaker 1: these reports, and although Megan said she doesn't read everything,
- 5:43Speaker 1: which I'm not quite sure, I believe she was aware
- 5:46Speaker 1: about the Kate allegations and she said the opposite occurred.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Kate made Megan cry and it was about the flower
- 5:54Speaker 1: girls and the wedding, and it hurt her feelings. Kate
- 5:57Speaker 1: sent flowers and an apology, and Megan said, I forgive
- 6:01Speaker 1: her all right. Well, but it also goes to show
- 6:04Speaker 1: why they got married quietly in the garden, in the backyard,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean, for this reason right here,
- 6:11Speaker 1: for the little petty things about a flower girl that
- 6:14Speaker 1: just threw whatever side into a into a tizzy. They
- 6:18Speaker 1: already got married. So this is like just icing on
- 6:21Speaker 1: top at the end of the day, you know what
- 6:22Speaker 1: I mean. So it just goes to further show why
- 6:25Speaker 1: they did it just for them before they did for everyone.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I think here a lot of people are thinking that
- 6:31Speaker 1: Megan threw Cayton to the bus and she didn't need
- 6:33Speaker 1: to bring this up, I should say here Oprah brought
- 6:36Speaker 1: it up, and also to seeing that Megan that was
- 6:40Speaker 1: not telling this story to be petty, but she wanted
- 6:43Speaker 1: the record set straight. The whole interviews for me was
- 6:48Speaker 1: Megan being frustrated that she had lost her voice, that
- 6:51Speaker 1: she wasn't speaking, that she was a Hollywood person who's
- 6:54Speaker 1: used to fight him back if she saw something in
- 6:56Speaker 1: the press she didn't like. Her publicist would would she
- 6:59Speaker 1: was stay meant she was told by the palace to
- 7:02Speaker 1: not do that. So it must have been really frustrating garage.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Do you know what it's like in a workplace when
- 7:07Speaker 1: somebody says something and somebody says something else, and then
- 7:10Speaker 1: their story is believed and it's not true. Oh yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: it's a it's a very ugly game of telephone and
- 7:16Speaker 1: there's there really is no way of stopping, and especially
- 7:19Speaker 1: at the royal level. And you know what I found
- 7:21Speaker 1: found very intriguing about the day and placement of this interview.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You have Oprah probably the as we call her, the
- 7:29Speaker 1: Queen here in the States, and you have Megan and
- 7:32Speaker 1: and Harry and today of all days being International Women's Day,
- 7:37Speaker 1: where you have a strong woman saying I'm going to
- 7:40Speaker 1: take on the royal family and show what they were
- 7:44Speaker 1: doing to my family, meaning you know, her son and
- 7:47Speaker 1: and and Harry and so. I just found it so
- 7:50Speaker 1: interesting that they decided today, of all days, to play
- 7:53Speaker 1: this interview and and put it forward on international lines.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I think the numbers are gonna be huge. We don't
- 7:58Speaker 1: have the numbers yet. Do you know who holds the
- 8:00Speaker 1: good for the number one rated interview on TV of
- 8:03Speaker 1: all time? Oprah Winfrey. She sat down with Michael Jackson
- 8:06Speaker 1: in I believe ninety million people, mind zero, that's like
- 8:10Speaker 1: the super Bowl. And I then this is going to
- 8:11Speaker 1: be that big. But it's big. I was about to
- 8:13Speaker 1: say you when you were on Extra not Unfortunately my
- 8:17Speaker 1: mother watched, you watched, it wasn't ninety billion. Moving along,
- 8:20Speaker 1: this was another bombshell. This, this interview, these two hours,
- 8:22Speaker 1: every minute, it was a bombshell. Normally, as a reporter,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I can come away from an interview I've watched and
- 8:28Speaker 1: tell you what, the two headlines are pretty easy. This
- 8:32Speaker 1: I've thought a Kate was going to be the headline.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I said, oh gosh, that's a big story. Then then
- 8:36Speaker 1: another story happened, and another one's happened. So Megan said
- 8:39Speaker 1: she had suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant with Archie.
- 8:43Speaker 1: It got so bad she went to the institution that
- 8:46Speaker 1: means the Palace and she asked for help. She was
- 8:49Speaker 1: asking for mental health care and they basically told her
- 8:52Speaker 1: to shut up. And at one point Harry was cradling her,
- 8:55Speaker 1: and she really had serious suicidal thoughts where she wants
- 9:00Speaker 1: to check into a facility. She felt like she needed
- 9:04Speaker 1: help and they didn't help her. Garrett, So does does
- 9:08Speaker 1: this line up with because remember when when this whole
- 9:11Speaker 1: process of leaving the family started, Harry said, I needed
- 9:14Speaker 1: to do this for our own good, you know what
- 9:17Speaker 1: I mean. So it kind of again is lining up
- 9:20Speaker 1: with the timeline of the past what two years almost
- 9:24Speaker 1: of them exiting because of this right here, of what
- 9:28Speaker 1: Megan you know, told us last night, and it's it's shocking,
- 9:31Speaker 1: but it also makes sense of why they laugh absolutely.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Now when I look back at all this, it does
- 9:36Speaker 1: start to add up. They said it wasn't an immediate
- 9:39Speaker 1: It wasn't an immediate split, and it brings us to
- 9:41Speaker 1: our next resor revel and it brings us to our
- 9:44Speaker 1: next revelation. The couple said the exit was not a
- 9:47Speaker 1: blind side for the Queen or anybody. They had been
- 9:49Speaker 1: talking about this four months, if not years. They felt
- 9:54Speaker 1: trapped and any notions that Megan plotted to get Harry
- 9:58Speaker 1: away from his family, Harry is that that is not true. Quote.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I was trapped, but I didn't know I was trapped,
- 10:05Speaker 1: trapped within a system like the rest of my family.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So he argues, Prince Charles is trapped, his brother's trapped
- 10:12Speaker 1: and he got out. Wow. Yeah, the not the easiest way,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but the quickest way, because again we know the hierarchy
- 10:22Speaker 1: of everything here. So Harry had the easiest way to
- 10:25Speaker 1: get out without the biggest Imagine if if william decided,
- 10:30Speaker 1: Imagine if Williams said, I'm you know what I'm leaving,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you know, that would probably be even more chaos than
- 10:36Speaker 1: what we're sitting through. Yeah, it's explosive. And Oprah said,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I thought this was such a good point. You're a prince,
- 10:42Speaker 1: You're literally a prince. You live in a palace. What
- 10:45Speaker 1: are you trapped in? Like, isn't this the lap of luxury?
- 10:49Speaker 1: But but I think and we hear this all the time.
- 10:51Speaker 1: To bring it down to the celebrity level, you know,
- 10:54Speaker 1: just you look at Justin Bieber and what he has
- 10:57Speaker 1: gone through with the He has written a song about
- 11:00Speaker 1: about how lonely he is, where you have everything in
- 11:03Speaker 1: the world, but you have really no one to share
- 11:06Speaker 1: it with, you know, And he did have Harry does
- 11:09Speaker 1: have Megan, and Megan has Harry. But outside of that,
- 11:12Speaker 1: they don't have their friends. They can't call up you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: their their their bff and say, hey, come on over
- 11:17Speaker 1: to the palace without having to go through nine thousand
- 11:20Speaker 1: forms of security. So I understand that, and not just
- 11:23Speaker 1: security permission. Megan at one point in the interview said
- 11:26Speaker 1: she she was alone. She was terribly lonely in the palace,
- 11:29Speaker 1: and she asked, can I go and have lunch with
- 11:31Speaker 1: my friends? And they said, no, you're overexposed and you
- 11:34Speaker 1: can't do this. What came across to me overall with
- 11:36Speaker 1: this interview is the bureaucracy, not the Queen or Charles,
- 11:41Speaker 1: not the not the family faces we know, but almost
- 11:44Speaker 1: the men in suits behind the scenes, the people running
- 11:47Speaker 1: the organization. And she said they were not helpful for her,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and she thought joining a big company. Let's think about
- 11:53Speaker 1: this in our art terms. When you join a job.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You get a little manual, you're taught, you taught how
- 12:00Speaker 1: to do the job. Nobody was there to help her,
- 12:03Speaker 1: like where the bathrooms are just in case you need
- 12:05Speaker 1: to go, Like I'm sure they didn't even shore where
- 12:07Speaker 1: the bathrooms, wrote my heart in many many ways moving
- 12:12Speaker 1: along side this is explosive and not keep using that word,
- 12:15Speaker 1: but I don't know another word. Prince Charles stopped taking
- 12:19Speaker 1: Harry's calls, so Harry told Oprah that at one point
- 12:23Speaker 1: he took manage into his own hands and that's when
- 12:25Speaker 1: his dad's Prince Charles started to ignore him. He said
- 12:29Speaker 1: the relationship with his father is still tricky. His father
- 12:31Speaker 1: is now taking the calls, but they clearly have a
- 12:34Speaker 1: lot to work through. Well, even before the hearing about
- 12:40Speaker 1: this last night, Rob wasn't their relationship but always because
- 12:45Speaker 1: we saw Harry and William, you know, with with mom
- 12:48Speaker 1: when she was around, then with with dad. He really
- 12:52Speaker 1: never saw them a lot together, right, I mean it
- 12:56Speaker 1: was a troubled relationship. I have that sort of relationship,
- 12:58Speaker 1: not not to this ext but with my dad. I
- 13:00Speaker 1: talked to my mom all the time and it feels
- 13:02Speaker 1: very natural, and I love my dad, but we're not
- 13:05Speaker 1: very close, and recently we've tried. We've both made a
- 13:09Speaker 1: real effort and we talked now every Sunday and it's
- 13:12Speaker 1: really helped. But my dad's never not taken my call.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I can't imagine calling him or his office and not
- 13:19Speaker 1: getting it returned. Does the King have a secretary? Like?
- 13:24Speaker 1: How does it work now? Like do they have phones
- 13:26Speaker 1: or do you have to go through a messenger? Like
- 13:29Speaker 1: you have to go through a switchboard? I bet she's
- 13:30Speaker 1: old school, but a bit. Charles has a phone and iPhone, Like, no,
- 13:35Speaker 1: the president of the United States has an iPhone and
- 13:37Speaker 1: then you know he could have an iPhone now you
- 13:40Speaker 1: you you would think, But I mean it's just so interesting,
- 13:44Speaker 1: like because we all know how phones work, so obviously
- 13:47Speaker 1: his name comes up on the phone and for him
- 13:49Speaker 1: just to hit block, Like what kind of guy is?
- 13:51Speaker 1: What would you put him under in your phone? Dad?
- 13:54Speaker 1: I don't know you have to put king? I don't
- 13:59Speaker 1: know what you put it? Katie, Katie crazy. They're also
- 14:03Speaker 1: done having children. They revealed that they're having a girl.
- 14:06Speaker 1: They're super excited about this and their daughter is going
- 14:10Speaker 1: to be born this summer. Talking about relationships too, he
- 14:14Speaker 1: did speak about William, and he said, it's complicated, but this,
- 14:18Speaker 1: this is lovely. He said, he talks with his granny
- 14:20Speaker 1: the Queen more than ever, and he's spoken to his
- 14:23Speaker 1: grandmother more in the last year than he has done
- 14:26Speaker 1: in many, many, many many years. I like that they're
- 14:28Speaker 1: so close, and he said the following quote. I love
- 14:32Speaker 1: William Tibits is my brother. We've been through hell together
- 14:36Speaker 1: talking about Princess Diana's death, their mommy, but we're on
- 14:39Speaker 1: different paths. This interview can this interview is not gonna
- 14:43Speaker 1: out again. It's it's beyond complicated that where you and
- 14:46Speaker 1: I can never probably start to understand where it's at.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I mean, just think about the the petty things in
- 14:52Speaker 1: your life with your family that you have trouble with. Now,
- 14:55Speaker 1: imagine it in on the on the royal plateau of
- 15:00Speaker 1: ing and a prince, where you know one is about
- 15:04Speaker 1: to take over the kingdom and another is just waiting
- 15:08Speaker 1: in order for him to be I get it. I
- 15:12Speaker 1: get it, of course. I mean I could never imagine
- 15:15Speaker 1: a family member, my older brother, you know, having to
- 15:18Speaker 1: pass away in order for me to get my get
- 15:22Speaker 1: my job. It's all the whole system set up. Do
- 15:25Speaker 1: you think outside of the system in the hierarchy, do
- 15:29Speaker 1: you think things are a little old school, you know
- 15:31Speaker 1: what I mean, Like just the way that the castle
- 15:35Speaker 1: is run, where it's not as modern day, you know,
- 15:39Speaker 1: as it should be. You know, the simple things like
- 15:43Speaker 1: having to go through people to talk to people like
- 15:46Speaker 1: she's my grandmother to the queen, like can I pick
- 15:48Speaker 1: up the phone? They've got to rethink this whole system.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And I know it's thousands of years old and there's
- 15:53Speaker 1: a lot of protocol, but I think in any company here,
- 15:56Speaker 1: let's think of them not as a family for a minute,
- 15:57Speaker 1: but as a business, which they are as well. I
- 16:00Speaker 1: think they've got to get somebody into reorganize this business
- 16:03Speaker 1: because if this amount of pain is going on behind
- 16:07Speaker 1: palace walls, it cannot continue as an institution. Like we're
- 16:11Speaker 1: very lucky, Kate and William seemed to have figured out
- 16:14Speaker 1: a way, but it's not healthy what's going on here.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And we've all got friends or maybe ourselves who have
- 16:19Speaker 1: worked at unhealthy companies. We've all done it toxic places.
- 16:23Speaker 1: This place feels so toxic, Garrett, We're going to take
- 16:25Speaker 1: a quick break and we're gonna come back instead of
- 16:27Speaker 1: our nicest then and Naughtiest of the day. We're going
- 16:30Speaker 1: to do the one regret, Megan's one regret. It's really
- 16:34Speaker 1: really shocking. We will be I need a break anyway,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I need a break so much stuff. Hey, welcome back
- 16:42Speaker 1: to then Naughty but nic Sha. I'm not sure that
- 16:44Speaker 1: with our friend Garrett Vogel. The whole episode today has
- 16:46Speaker 1: been about the rules. I'm exhausted, Garrett. I'm I'm still
- 16:49Speaker 1: recovering from the first break. I've never seen an interview
- 16:53Speaker 1: like this in all my days. I've never ever seen
- 16:56Speaker 1: an interview like this. You know, before we get into
- 16:58Speaker 1: the regrets that you were talking and about that uh
- 17:01Speaker 1: from Megan. Do you think how true is it like
- 17:05Speaker 1: for the Palace to say the Queen and the family
- 17:08Speaker 1: were not even going to watch it, Like you gotta think,
- 17:12Speaker 1: as we know, they want to know what's up, and
- 17:15Speaker 1: they're not going to read through the press because they
- 17:17Speaker 1: know the press is going to spin it anyway possible.
- 17:20Speaker 1: You know, they've had to have watched clips or someone's
- 17:22Speaker 1: job house wants to secretarists their publicists. In the morning,
- 17:25Speaker 1: we'll bring in with the cream. Makes up quite early
- 17:27Speaker 1: and she gets the London Times and the Guardian and
- 17:30Speaker 1: maybe some of the tabloids too, to see what's going
- 17:32Speaker 1: on in the post. Don't forget the post. She always
- 17:34Speaker 1: and she will. She's a naughty gossip right dow High
- 17:36Speaker 1: Queen website. She gets briefings every morning in a little
- 17:41Speaker 1: red box, so there's a summary. Maybe she should just
- 17:44Speaker 1: listen to this podcast because we basically summarized everything you
- 17:46Speaker 1: needed to know. I would hate to be the person
- 17:49Speaker 1: to summarize his last Like you're holding a tray of
- 17:53Speaker 1: you know, breakfast, maybe some Goldian waffles and English muffins
- 17:57Speaker 1: with with with with butter, and you're going, They're going,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell her this. I can't tell
- 18:02Speaker 1: her this. Okay, I'll tell her this, Okay, ll skip
- 18:04Speaker 1: over this suicide. Oh my god, I cut the baby skin.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I had to read Jenny for Lopez once the reviews
- 18:12Speaker 1: for Gelie the worst movie ever made, and she called me,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I worked for Jenny, how did you handle it? I
- 18:19Speaker 1: summarized them. So when I got to the New York
- 18:21Speaker 1: Times review, which was brutal, I said, Chen, you know what,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you're in a bit of a rush. Let me just
- 18:26Speaker 1: summarize it. And I was like, oh, it's it's not
- 18:29Speaker 1: so positive. It's a mixed stud set out right. It
- 18:34Speaker 1: was hard, it wasn't easy exactly. Okay, let's move along.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Megan and Harry were asked by Oprah it' so it
- 18:40Speaker 1: was a great way to end an interview. We should
- 18:42Speaker 1: end the podcast like this. Every day, what do you
- 18:44Speaker 1: have any regrets? What's what's your regret? And Harry, which
- 18:47Speaker 1: most people say your your default setting is to say no, no,
- 18:51Speaker 1: don't have any regrets. So when you ask people like
- 18:53Speaker 1: even the housewives, like when trees are got out of jail,
- 18:55Speaker 1: do you have any regrets? No, no doubt you do
- 18:57Speaker 1: have regrets. It's okay to have your ine. You went
- 19:00Speaker 1: to jail, you stole money from people. So Harry has
- 19:03Speaker 1: no regrets. But Megan thought about it and she said,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I do have one regret. My regret is believing them
- 19:10Speaker 1: when they said they would protect me. Drop them, Mike.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So she thought the palace would protect her. She could
- 19:18Speaker 1: be reading stuff about herself and she thought, don't worry
- 19:21Speaker 1: about it, they'll protect me. At one point in the interview,
- 19:23Speaker 1: Garrett her friends were still calling her in London. She
- 19:26Speaker 1: was very isolated and they were saying, Meg, I can't
- 19:28Speaker 1: believe this is being said. That's not true. They're saying this.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Everything that was happening with her dad was going on,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and Ned would report lie to her friends and say,
- 19:36Speaker 1: don't worry, they're protecting me. They're going to protect me.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And you know what, I've noticed this over the last
- 19:42Speaker 1: few weeks too, ever since they announced that they were
- 19:44Speaker 1: having their second child. Is Piers Morgan trying to get
- 19:47Speaker 1: back into the palace for some reason, Like the man
- 19:50Speaker 1: comes out of the woodwork and just starts throwing laser
- 19:53Speaker 1: beams at people. Do you know why he's angry? That exactly.
- 19:56Speaker 1: She was with him at the Soho house in London
- 19:59Speaker 1: before she met Harry, so she Piers would argue, used him.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So Megan slid into his direct messages before she was
- 20:06Speaker 1: with the Royals, and he was with her in London,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and get this, she was going to meet Harry. Afterwards,
- 20:13Speaker 1: he got her and uber, He paid for her uber
- 20:15Speaker 1: to go and meet the Prince. That she didn't tell him.
- 20:17Speaker 1: She was very, very, very very reserved about it. I
- 20:20Speaker 1: get that it was a secret hate. I'm I'm not
- 20:23Speaker 1: defending Piers Morgan, but I've heard this by several people.
- 20:26Speaker 1: The minute she was with Harry, she dumped all her friends.
- 20:28Speaker 1: So Pis was gone. I know at least two other
- 20:30Speaker 1: people that were quite close to her that she's just
- 20:32Speaker 1: stopped talking to him. Not good, but he just but
- 20:35Speaker 1: the way he was coming across is so bitter. It
- 20:39Speaker 1: just it's like, you please let me know. It's mean
- 20:42Speaker 1: now he's after her. Hey, Garett, thank you so much.
- 20:45Speaker 1: We ran out of time. We could keep going on this.
- 20:47Speaker 1: My big takeaway though, from from all vises. At the end,
- 20:51Speaker 1: she did say to Oprah her fairy tale had come true.
- 20:55Speaker 1: She met her prince, she lost her voice, she got
- 20:57Speaker 1: her voice back. She compared it to the Little Murmaid,
- 20:59Speaker 1: which I thought was really adorable. I hope that which
- 21:01Speaker 1: makes the Queen earlier. Oh, I just don't know what
- 21:04Speaker 1: the future is. Do you think the Palace will respond.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I'm talking about this to my friends in London at
- 21:08Speaker 1: the moment. Should they ignore this or should they put
- 21:10Speaker 1: out a statement? I don't I think they will, but
- 21:14Speaker 1: they should spin it in the support of what I mean.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I wish exactly we're looking into those allegations that have
- 21:21Speaker 1: been brought up, you know, just as they're doing to
- 21:23Speaker 1: Megan investigations. I think this is all a mess. I
- 21:27Speaker 1: think I would tell them all it's it's over, that's it. Quietly,
- 21:30Speaker 1: I was thinking about this too, and I know we
- 21:32Speaker 1: gotta we gotta wrap up. But I think the only
- 21:34Speaker 1: way things are going to change is when William and
- 21:38Speaker 1: Kate are finally in charge. It's a few years away, though,
- 21:42Speaker 1: isn't it. We've got to get through Charles first. And
- 21:44Speaker 1: I don't wish death on anybody. And that's really what
- 21:47Speaker 1: you were wishing in this family. That's why the system
- 21:48Speaker 1: is so set up. You haven't got to fail for
- 21:50Speaker 1: me to succeed, You've got to die. I mean that's
- 21:52Speaker 1: pretty extreme. Well, oh, I wish she would should mess
- 21:57Speaker 1: up and I can get that job. I don't wish
- 21:59Speaker 1: death on her or him. It's crazy. Hey, Garrett, thank
- 22:02Speaker 1: you so much for joining us and going through all
- 22:05Speaker 1: these details, and thank you for listening to the naught

- 22:27Speaker 1: take care, everybody to die. It's not even nice with
