Abilene Bar and Lounge, Rochester’s beloved 18-year live music staple, is closing its doors in mid-November—but the spirit of Abilene isn’t going anywhere. Owner Danny Deutsch, who never imagined the level of community support they’d receive, is stepping back to focus on new ventures, including “Abilene on the Road,” bringing live music to other local venues. Before the final curtain, October is packed with shows and fundraisers for causes close to his heart.
