Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: The mile-high huddle podcast, the aftermath of a yet another Broncos victory.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm your host Chad Jensen with me.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: My fellow football priest, you know him, you love him, Zach Kelberman's Zach.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: We've had about a day to kind of marinate on the Broncos 11th victory, sweeping the Raiders once again this season, Bonyx is yet to lose to the Raiders.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_03]: How are you feeling about things having had a night to sleep on it and work out your hormones?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_02]: same as I always am on these aftermath episodes.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: I tend to look at things fairly objective day of at least like, I hope to look at things objectively.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just happy that Baracko has picked up another win.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not pressing the panic button over how the defense looked in garbage time or the point they let up.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: They looked dominate from the first after the first drive on the offense was crisp and bonus was in command.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy they won a game and I'll tell you one other thing.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: Based on the situations around the NFL, the quarterback situations, you have the cults working out 44-year-old Philip Rivers, I will say this, God bless Bonix.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: Isn't that crazy, isn't that crazy, really unfortunate development, obviously, for Daniel Jones and the Colts and Riley Leonard getting hurt, all that stuff.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: But we got unique prepping, smiles in the house, jumping in, and he's been a member now for two months, but he's been a dear dear friend and superstar dating back years.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_03]: And he's saying, let's freaking go Broncos, love the winning mentality.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: And he goes all the way back Zach to that hashtag, MHHUN, which was an initial core group of superstars back in the day, like circa 19, 20, 21-ish.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: RIP Duke, everybody remembers Duke, who is an OG no longer with us, unfortunately.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: But good to see you, a small, hope you're doing well, Big Dog.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_03]: Sam Bam jumping in.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Sam.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_03]: great to see a legendary Mount Rushmore superstar, dear members say, and even in guys, the Broncos are 11 and two was nice having a smooth, non-stressful win yesterday.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: The big test this Sunday though against the Packers to prove if this 11 and two record is not a fluke, go Broncos, it's definitely not a fluke.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's not as if the Broncos haven't beaten anybody, right?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: they beat the two Super Bowl teams from January or February, pardon me.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, some other good teams along the way, including the Houston Texans, who it's like, man, no one can beat them lately, Zach.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Broncos and the Patriots obviously have a longer winning streak, but Houston has become that team kind of like the Broncos, but they become a team Zach, nobody wants to face.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like the Texans are a little bit scary because of their defense, but
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this will be a big test though.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: And Bo Nix said, look, I think we've already been tested that, you know, this is going to be a great team on paraphrasing him.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: This is a great team we're going against against the Packers, but it's not as if we haven't been in critical games at all before this this season.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: They've proved they can win any kind of game, whether they're the underdog, the favorite, whether they're down by three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, whether they're on the road, whether they're on a different continent in London shed, facing the jets.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's what's the important thing here Sam, is that they are 11 into, they won the games they're supposed to win, they won a few, they're not supposed to win as well, and they've set themselves up nicely to capture that number one seed, but
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's basically my takeaway.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: My aftermath takeaway is what you said there.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: It was so nice not stressing out and having a comfortable win without any heart palpitations yesterday.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: I absolutely loved that the running game.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: That was my big question in my not so much of fear, but my concern down the stretch was, man, is the run game ever gonna show signs of life post JK Dobbins and we got that yesterday, big credit to RJ and the other guys, by the way.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_03]: Papa Bear, so good to see you big dog every single night in the chat thrown down a super a dear member.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, we appreciate you so much.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: It says Merry Christmas Broncos Country 134 plus plus plus plus and hashtag god bless the USA.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you Papa Bear.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_03]: Don't know what we do without you big dog and as we inch further and further into this season's act, his predictions are looking more and more on the money.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_03]: If not even
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: a little conservative.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: By the time it's all said, I don't want to count any chickens before they've hatched Zack, but still.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I was going to say, David, your prediction all along is looking like the worst case scenario for the Broncos.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: They could finish 15 and 2 in which case bone next would set the record for most quarterback wins in his first two seasons, besting Russell Wilson.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: So let's hope they continue to win and win out and go into the playoffs with that's some type of momentum chat, that kind of winning streak.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_03]: it note out is and one thing we know for sure i mean hey nobody has a crystal ball we can't say exactly how the season's gonna shape up for the broncos in terms of the one seed the final record all that stuff the one thing we can't say though with certainty.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_03]: The chiefs will not win the division.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_03]: They are 100% now after losing to the Texans last night at Arrowhead.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_03]: They are 100% out of the AFC West.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: So what was it?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: 9 straight 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 9 straight division crowns.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_03]: And the Broncos, I remember doing like, you know, the same head to head sheets, Zach that we look at when we're doing them on Thursday nights and we show everybody.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: I remember going through those back in the day in the paint manning era and the Broncos had way more division titles than like the next team in the in the division all time.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't even close and now the chiefs boom, they've got the most because they won nine in a row, but it ain't going to be 10 wasn't faded to be 10.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: jump it in dear member and superstar saying one of two piggybacking off of something you all talked about last night about the uncharacteristic amount of sacks boat took three cross be max cross be he's always going to get his against the broncos just like collil mac did
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I'm still traumatized by the Michael Schofield game.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: You guys remember that five sacks for Mac.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then his second one is Crosby is the number one player I hate to love.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I hate that he didn't get traded to Detroit last season.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: Ha ha, also the Packers are very similar team to us.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they are, but I don't think their defense is quite as good.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have as much talent on that side.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think than the Broncos, but they are very similar.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: And as far as head to head, Zach, the Sean Peyton era Broncos have faced La Flore in the Packers, but it was not during the Bonixir that was 2023 Russell Wilson, the Broncos beat him so relatively early in the season was that I'm being greeted by the way, I'm trying to remember it was I'm pretty sure.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: It was I'm pretty sure it was I'm pretty sure too.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_03]: And the Broncos storm back and yeah ended up winning that one pretty Handily, but that was pre bow.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_03]: So LaFlor he's gone against Vance Joseph's defense in Denver, but it looks quite a bit different in 2025 than it did then.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I agree that they're kind of a similar team and that they're balanced and any given week when they're firing on all cylinders, calling the offense for the Packers with Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs and Christian Watson, they can beat you and the defense with Mike Parsons and some of the other players they have, they can beat you as well.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be the toughest test, the Broncos have had, even tougher than the chiefs matchup was for them.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: I am interested in seeing how they're gonna respond, Chad, and I'm personally a little nervous, little anxious about this matchup.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: I have been for a few weeks.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: One thing both said yesterday after the game when he was asked about packers is, yeah, it's going to be tough, but it's not like we haven't faced tough situations before our big asset in this game is that it's at home, it's in Denver, and I would say that, man, like, look, the Philadelphia Eagles are kind of a different team today than they were when the Broncos faced them in week five, you can argue, but it's still the Philadelphia Eagles and it's still the mostly intact.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: world champion team from a few months prior.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: And the Broncos beat them on the road in their house.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: They can beat the Packers.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's just a matter of, and I agree with Eric who wrote this up today in an article.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos got to shore up that defense.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the cracks that have been shown in the past couple of weeks
- 8:50[SPEAKER_03]: This is an opponent's act.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: The packers that will definitely exploit those cracks, get a little fingernail in there and then just kind of keep working until they break it wide open if the Broncos don't short up.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, my apologies to you, Chad, apparently according to a wrong that game was at mile high in 2020 for I could have sworn it was in Green Bay, but the point remains the same the Broncos do have experience against the
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was the meet and greet.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_03]: I'm I might be tripping.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: Taylor, who do you want to lose next week?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_03]: I want KC.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: Next week, I haven't really looked at the
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, hey, let's go cardinals, cardinals against the Texans in Houston.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_03]: We all know who's probably going to win that one.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_03]: Jets, you never know.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't quite trust the Jaguars, Zach, in terms of like handling the teams fully that they're supposed to, but they got the Jets at home.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_03]: And then of course, Chargers Chiefs is the one he's talking about.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's a, I'm sorry.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: I want the Chiefs to win that game against the Chargers Sunday, December 14th.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's who I'd be rooting for.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a number one, though, Taylor.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm rooting for the bragos on Sunday.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: They have to take care of business first and foremost.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: They have to continue winning preferably.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that starts with tough opponent against the with the packers.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm rooting for the chiefs now to lose as many games going forward.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: Just because I'm not petty and it's bringing me such joy, Chad, as much as I expected watching their downfall play out in real time.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: Spices of life sometimes you never know where they're going to come from right and it can surprise you, but guys, we have a lot more to get to including your comments and supers, but listen, hey, it's been a wild season in Broncos country, we all know how much of a toll it's taking on us mentally.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then, listen, by the holidays, the holidays can be really tough, emotionally, mentally for some folks.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: And in all seriousness, guys, taking care of your mental health should not be harder than taking care of your physical health.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: You think about it, if you pull a muscle or suddenly your back starts aching, you go see the doctor.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: when it comes to finding the right therapist, suddenly, you know, it's frustrating.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: You're dealing with long waiting lists, or you have to confront big out-of-pocket costs.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: And any one of those factors can stop people from getting the help that they need.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's where Rula comes in.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Rula makes it simple, affordable, and fast.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: They work with most major insurance plans, and the average session, co-pay is just $15.15.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's basically the cost of lunch, but instead of a sandwich, you're investing in your own headspace.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, guys.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: And with Rula, you're not just matched with a therapist and then kind of left to figure things out.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: They check in.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: They make sure you're actually making progress.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: Every therapist on the platform is licensed, vetted and picked for their expertise.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: So you know you're talking to someone legit, not just whoever happens to be available.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: and getting started cannot be easier.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: You answer a few quick questions about what matters to you and rule a connection with in-network providers who actually fit your needs.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: You pick the time and you can be talking to a therapist as soon as the next day.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: No weeks of waiting, no endless back and forth.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: Bottom line, if you've been putting this off, rule a takes away the excuses, simple affordable and actually built to help you get better.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thousands of guys have already used rule to finally get the care they needed.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: Don't keep putting it off.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Go to rule.com slash mile high and get started two day.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's r-u-l-a.com slash mile high.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Take the first step, get connected and take control of your mental health.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: All right guys, back at it.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_03]: Let me just get this little thing put it up.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_03]: I scroll too far.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: Back to the conversation and guys really don't
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great opportunity there with that we were just talking about.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say hello real quick to a dear friend of ours in Oz.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_03]: Glenn Ashley, I'm going to read it from over here because it's such a big comment.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_03]: Glenn good to see you pal.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_03]: He says really happy with the improvements offensively.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey, big tick, Bryant, Sutton, Mims to Prentice again, excellent.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_03]: Franklin got a clean up the drops.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: The lion has to scheme better against Crosby.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: defense was solid, but solid's not gonna cut it against the packers.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: Got a dial up the secondary beat up love, hashtag state of being M.H.H.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: for life, let's bow.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all solid points, my friend.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't disagree with you on any of it.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: Prentice, by the way, Sean Payton, man.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: He was funny.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, everyone's asking about memes or Harvey or whatever last night.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: And then he's like, what?
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: No one's gonna ask me about Prentice.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_03]: What are you guys talking about?
- 13:37[SPEAKER_03]: Were you getting a hot dog when he made that big play or whatever kind of funny, but yeah, Prentice, man.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: He's become kind of for a fallback about as indispensable as you can be in today's NFL to this team.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we have the video.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not given Adam any credit for like the 38 yard belly play.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: That was a big play.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can get getting a hot dog going to turn that play.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's such a smart ally, you know, I love it, but Zach real quick too.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: Some news, I guess, since we titled the episode around this, the Broncos signed after vanquishing the Raiders, they signed a former Raiders running back and you had the story for us, breakdown who it is, what it is, what it means for the Broncos.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you've never heard of this guy, I don't blame you.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: His name is Sincere McCormick.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: He was a former undrafted free agent in 2022.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: Spend his first three seasons with the Raiders.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't play in a game with them until last season, though.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: He had 39 carries for 183 yards, no touchdowns, but he averaged 4.7 yards per carry across five games.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: This past preseason and briefly into the season,
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then he became available.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: He had to work out with the Broncos.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: And now he's on the practice squad along with Duce Vaughn.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: So a guy who is fairly productive at UTSA in college.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: He was the two-time conference USA offensive player of the year and a 13-all American, just another project to stash away and maybe a little insurance in case injuries strike the running back core more.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: One thing I like about this move is he's got a little bit of size.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_03]: He's exactly in terms of height and weight the same as RJ, 580 205.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: At least Zach, that's what I'm reading on his profile here.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_03]: And look, considering that Jellil and Tyler Badear quite a ways below 200 pounds, I think it's good to have a guy north of 200
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and again, all they have is Duce Vaughan on the practice squad and you have the three running backs on the 53 and of course Adam Prentices as well.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: You need the depth, you need the bodies, I don't hate to move at all.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's funny though, they sign him a former Raiders running back one day after sweeping the Raiders.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: uh... no doubt call in jumping in again thank you buddy he says what are the chances we trade for a just in Jefferson next season seems like he'll want out and Denver has been heavily linked to trading for him in the off season uh...
- 16:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, first of all, I mean, the Vikings, it's not going to be easy to trade that guy, just because what is it?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: Is that 50 million dead if they trade Justin Jefferson?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_03]: And keep in mind too, Colin, bidding war probably starts.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_03]: If they put that on the table and they let the NFL know Justin Jefferson is on the block.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the bidding war probably starts,
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: And don't forget, Colin, they were out on jail and waddle for that same reason.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: He was too expensive.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: They wanted a first and then some for, for waddle, the dolphins did.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: So it takes two to tangle, like Chad was saying there.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: You would have to, uh, the Vikings would have to want to trade JJ.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know that they would want to do that and not just go all in on the core that they have already.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: Although I do think regardless, they're going to be targeting a wide receiver or an offensive skill player, uh, fairly early on in the off season.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, here's one of the iron.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: He's a little bit interesting to see real quick.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_03]: Before I segue, call on it'll be interesting to see.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we've heard George Peyton talk about Justin Jefferson quite a lot about how, you know, he was, he might still be George's son's favorite player and all this stuff.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, obviously George Peyton is well aware of who he is, but,
- 17:44[SPEAKER_03]: from a cost perspective, I think the Broncos much better off going back to the well, the draft.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: And look, when people eyeball this, and thank you again, Colin Brothers, three tonight, you demand.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: When people look at this, I was just writing about this earlier, Zack, when, when outside eyes take a, and inside eyes for what it's worth, fans as well,
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: But when people take a look at the Broncos offense and as improved as it's been, in terms of consistency rhythm and whatnot, over the past three games, I would say that really started trending in the right direction in that Kansas City game, which was welcome considering how bad things got in the first Raiders game, right?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: The one thing still missing, people look at the receiving core and they go, okay, just to where are the explosive, where's the speed, where's the explosiveness, you got a massive core of possession receivers and look courtland Sutton as a possession guy is about as good as it gets in the NFL for that kind of skill set and yet they have an explosive guy I was just going through and review and some of his game logs that from last season.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's easy to forget a big of a difference.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: Marvin Mims made on this offense in the final, a little bit more than quarter of the season.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: Let's call it the final five games.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: He had two games north of a hundred yards.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: His final two games of the season's act.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_03]: He had double-digit touchdowns on offense, right?
- 19:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not talking about his returners stuff.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's always aces like he's
- 19:10[SPEAKER_03]: The best returner in the NFL, if you ask me, but he's, I mean, think about this, too, Zach.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_03]: We're lamenting the drops, right?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: We were talking about that yesterday, Troy Franklin, the bobbles, all that stuff.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: Marvin Mives brings the explosiveness, reliability.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, think back to some of those catches down the stretch last year, and specifically that since he game that went all the way to overtime and that to this day, Sean Peyton,
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: probably still regrets not going for two at the end there.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: And especially that second touchdown the MIMS caught in that game where it was bone next chucking it up to the right corner of the end zone.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: Him going up over two guys in a half to have it moment, MIMS comes down with it.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: And yet he's got 35 targets this season, 25 catches.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's not even up to 300 yards receiving.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Sean Payton said today after a meeting those act.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the good news in the takeaway
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm kind of in a posture where I'll believe I want to see it right there with you.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like they view Mims is nothing more than a gadget player and that's unfortunate because it seems like he has sure hands and he has more explosion than pretty much every receiver on the roster not named Troy Franklin.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: I hope he gets more involved but with the way they spread the wealth on offense it's hard like you said there to predict a Mims breakout but you also mentioned having possession receivers.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: Portland Sutton drop, Troy Franklin drop, Pat Bryant really is the only one you can trust and he's a rookie.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I advocate for the broadcast to go out there in the off season and improve their wider receiver core.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Chris O'Lave from New Orleans, maybe the shot I'm taking get him.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think they're going to overpay to the tune of multiple first round picks for a receiver.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: I agree and what's really cool to you brought up Pat Bryant and again, the Broncos do have some very good possession guys, all right, he's got 22 receptions this season 305 yards and it touched down so on those 22 catches that 18 of them have moved the chains and then of course one that was a score so 19 that were either touchdowns or first downs out of 22.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_03]: That's like a massive ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, get this guy that ball kind of a epiphany.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_03]: I would love to see, I'm not saying he goes away in disappears, or anything like that.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: But I would love to see Pat Bryant kind of step in more as wide receiver to, if and I'd like to see Marvin Mimms step in, even if he's not going to be your wide receiver three, man, you got to have
- 21:43[SPEAKER_03]: 10 plays every game dialed up ready to go that feature Marvin Mims either vertical or in space One of the two and like Sean Peyton said, you know, you can drop the shots.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: They don't always pan out And you don't always see even see the quarterback take the shot even though you called it like yesterday He said, you know, we had seven or eight paraphrasing Peyton.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_03]: I had dialed up like seven or eight shot plays but Pete Carroll's
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, you know, coverage shield, the, you know, the, the safety's just wouldn't give it up.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: So Bonyx, be in the quarterback that he is smart savvy.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: He just took what the defense gave him.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: And it was underneath stuff, which is one of the ways that you kind of got to operate against a Pete Carroll type of defense, which is what the Raiders are.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Pat Bryant wider receiver to transition is already taking place.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_02]: They have obviously made it concerted effort to get him more involved, get him the football and for the most part he's been rewarding them.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: If only because he's a reliable receiver over the middle of the field or down the sideline and a contested catch situation, I hope for more of Pat Bryant going forward.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_03]: We got two son Phil, what's going on big dog?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_03]: Great to see us as good eating Chad Zach and Dean Scott.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_03]: Great to see Harvey tied with no Sean Moreno being the fourth most touchdowns by a rookie in Broncos history, Buckham, MHH for live, Broncos for live.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I wrote about that this morning.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_03]: And it's kind of interesting if you take a look at the top
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: Four, rookie touchdown seasons in franchise analysis, you've got RJ Harvey currently tied as you mentioned their fill with notion nine total touchdowns fill up Lindsey ranks third all time with ten total touchdowns his rookie year And then it's Mike Anderson with the second most he had 15 back in 2000 and Clinton portus number one he had 17 15 rushing two receiving as a rookie in O2
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: So Zach, with four games to go, Harvey could actually get there, and what's interesting, I mean, it would take quite the final four games, but if he's had multiple touchdown games several times this season, so it wouldn't be a complete out of the, you know, left field kind of development.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_03]: But if you look at this list of five, it features six players because two guys are tied, but well, at least five other backs, I'll just say, that are in the top five
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: All but one of them you kind of think of on our known as some of the best players at their position for the Broncos in their given era so Clinton portus obviously we only had him two years, but wow how awesome will see Mike Anderson enough said fill up Lindsey again short lived what do we get three seasons two and I guess basically two three seasons two that were really prolific one where they went to Melvin et cetera.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: No Sean Moreno, a former first round pick at a thousand yards, great in that 2013 year in particular.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: But then Mike Bell, Zach is the one guy on this list of top five that you go really, he had them.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's that high.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Bell, if you guys can remember him, old number 20 back during the later Shanahan days, he's ranked fifth all time as a rookie for the Broncos with eight touchdowns.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_03]: But,
- 24:57[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey, man, that's what I'm getting at here.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's a long-winded way of saying, and I'm serving back to you, Zach.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_03]: Harvey's in some really good company, and I take that as quite the harbinger of what's to come for him.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what I like about Harvey's, he's outkicking his draft status.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's also outperforming or performing or giving comparable numbers to Ashton, genty and travy on Henderson, running backs that many in Brocos, country, including myself, wanted over him.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: And he's just being the all around weapon, the Brocos thought they were getting as a runner as a past catcher.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: And he's even improving his past blocking as well.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know that he was,
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: The plan was for him to be RB1 this early, but he's taken the ball literally and figuratively and and and run with the chat and looking better and better as the weeks have gone on.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_03]: Last thing on Harvey, he's just the sixth rookie since 1990 to total at least five rushing and four receiving touchdowns.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: And the guys he joins on that short list are names like, say, Juan Barclay, Alvin Camara, David Johnson back in 2015, Matt Forte and Hall of Famer, Edurin James.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: So kind of, kind of cool, turns out Sean Payton knew what he was doing.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: Two-som fill!
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: jump it in to drop some memberships gifted in the chat.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, brother.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: You demand appreciate you so much.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I like that you you dig those history and milestone and record articles.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes they do well in terms of the traffic game, sometimes they don't, but I know you like reading them.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you and really appreciate that.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm sure Phil that the folks in the chat who just got gifted the memberships are grateful as well.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, guys, tomorrow Kelvinman's corner members only knew Mountain Time to Eastern.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you so much, Phil, for that
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah dude, thank you buddy, he's really good to see you.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Todd says, wasn't Tadeum Bell picked up from,
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: a shopping mall selling phones.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: There's some, yeah, there's some unfortunate incidents with Tatum Bell.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember them all.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: Now, something about a luggage thing.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: I remember a mix-up or something.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: And then, yeah, selling phones.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: But he had a thousand yards he's in for the Broncos, Tatum Bell.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to say he was a second round pick.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty sure Tatum Bell.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_03]: He was the initial plan to replace Clinton Portus when the Broncos traded in for champ.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, second round pick.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: But it took him a little time kind of getting going.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: And uh, let's see real quick, Tade and Bell.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he came close to a thousand and oh five, sharing that backfield with Mike Anderson.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: eight career high eight touchdowns out here and then the next season is when he had his thousand yard season in 13 games for what it's worth.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, Tate and Bell.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the bells.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: You had Mike Bell and Tate and Bell, kind of cross and pass and share and Robroster at a certain point back in the early 2000s.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: So kind of cool.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_03]: Wrong dude.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you pal for reminding everybody.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_03]: Hit the thumbs up.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: Subscribe to the MHH podcast YouTube become
- 28:11[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate you advocating for a spikdog.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: Really means the world to us.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, Zach, a couple of things I wanna.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I grew with you, Mark Kennedy on Facebook.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'd rather keep our draft picks.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_03]: I like the draft better than giving them away.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_03]: I just think that the juice.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure if you'd juice it all, Zach.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: What he would cost in his salary and then the draft picks, even if you were interested in getting him, is ultimately worth the squeeze, especially in comparison to not to say that Justin Jefferson isn't amazing, we all know he is.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: But Zach, especially considering what you could get,
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: possibly in the draft go find your own Justin Jefferson and considering how well George Peyton and Sean Peyton drafts.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt and that's why they're so reticent to give these draft picks away.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_03]: It is kind of crazy that the cults are trying out Philip Rivers.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they work so hard, just like the Broncos of work so hard to get to where they're at.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Colt's had the invested a lot of blood sweating tears to get to this point and they're going to try and do everything they can to not squander it because of some bad injury look.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: But it's going to be tough to do.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be really tough to do.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, real quick here.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: So looking back on yesterday's game, I know a lot of fans are you know they're kind of ready to already start talking Packers, but just real quick I want to go over some of the grades from week 14 Broncos Raiders and just really celebrate the fact and look some people said Eric trickles been really hard on RJ Harvey and the Broncos run game I wouldn't say he's been hard on him.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_03]: I would say that he's been very
- 30:01[SPEAKER_03]: blunt, you could maybe argue unforgiving.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_03]: For him, it's always black and white, as I've said before.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_03]: Either it's good or it's bad, it's either getting the job done or it's not.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: And RJ Harvey Zach was one of the two MVP.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: So each grades article,
- 30:17[SPEAKER_03]: Eric lays out the offensive MVP the defense of MVP and that's always based on whoever had the highest grade right and in the case of the Broncos offense yesterday RJ Harvey grades out with the 78.9 as the MVP on defense Zach Alex singleton so it's kind of crazy how
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Alex Singleton started off this season kind of on the wrong foot return from the ACL goes through that massive crazy cancer scare, but even before the cancer things that he had turned to ship around he just turns 32.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_03]: What are the Broncos going to do with Alex Singleton because this is this contract is almost up.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's only from a PR standpoint.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the Broncos have to at least make an offer to him and try to bring him back, Chad, and if on a one-year deal to be like the bridge starter to mentor the next starting inside lineback or so be it.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: He proved that there's still some gas left in the tank as it passed covering a linebacker in last week's game, and he's also a good two-down run stuff as well.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I think they're going to try to bring him back.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Although I would disagree a little bit that he was the MVP.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like when you have a guy who's out there getting a couple sacks like Benito did chat and a couple quarterback hits, that's my MVP in the game.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_03]: Well said, a string guy, Raj, sorry to hear about you still being in the hospital.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm glad that you could join us.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's okay if it's late big dog.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: And hopefully you won't be there too much longer in the hospital.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: And you know that you got the thoughts, the prayers and the positive vibes and energies from everybody at MHH.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: So keep a stiff upper lip big dog and let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: This is interesting here.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: If a cult's mortgage, some of their future with the sauce gardener trade in order to make a super bowl run this year, that they did ZEC and it's looking like that might have been a bit of a mistake because now they don't have a quarterback under contract for 26 and the quarterback that they were hoping to make that run with this year, Adios, he's pretty much done for 2025.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: And Saws got hurt already.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: He has an Achilles, I think, or a foot injury, something like that.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: And he's going to be his week to week.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, they wouldn't all in.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes unlike the Rams in 2021, it doesn't work.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's part of the reason why the Broncos didn't make a trade for water because rarely do those blockbuster in-season moves pay off.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of feel bad for Indie though.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was thinking about it earlier.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: They went from like a top three seed slam dunk.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: Now they lost their quarterback.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Texans and the Jaguars have come out of nowhere in that division.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Suddenly they have sees South is impossible to plan.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: All the Colt's have is basically Jonathan Taylor.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's all they're whittled down to.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's quite the fall from grace in just a couple of months.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: They were looking like, this is why you don't jump to conclusions, because even before he suffered the season ender, there were cracks in the facade, right, for the cults.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: They had started to lose a few, but early this season, man, including when the Broncos faced him, the cults were looking like an out of the blue juggernaut, like what the heck happened here?
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: What's in the water at an Indianapolis, but it is really a bummer.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, congrats to you chief of thanks for your first Bronco game ever in Vegas.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's really cool.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_03]: Making it back to Alaska, good for you, man.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: Congrats on that.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let me see here where we at Timelys 33 minutes.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: We're doing pretty good.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: Let's grab some of the member comments and just some shout outs here.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out to Pearl.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_03]: The rock we've we've shouted, Raj is by the way, as he's saying here, there's what, there's why Raj is in the hospital, probably going to get his gold gold bladder out.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: So that's no fun big dog.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_03]: Let me see Todd.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got that Todd.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: We saw, I got him.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: I got that spammer.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: So, um, yeah, no fun.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, Colin, thanks for jumping in again, big dog.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll grab Tucson fill again here shortly.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: But Colin says, let's not forget this same Packers team tied with the cowboys.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_03]: Those same boys that we hung 44 points on.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's just weird.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_03]: Football is so weird because, you know, it's true.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's the Broncos absolutely destroyed Zack, the Cowboys and yet the Packers couldn't quite beat them, right?
- 34:46[SPEAKER_03]: And so everybody's on nervous, it's afraid of the Packers, but it's more about how are you playing now?
- 34:52[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's so much of what have you done for lately, for me, type of thing, with the league, what have you done lately, et cetera?
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: and what the packers have been doing lately, they won four straight, five straight, whatever it is, they're on a little bit of a roll themselves.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: So this is going to be interesting, two teams act with a bit of a winning streak, and I'm not trying to look for holes in the boat or early outs here.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: But again, if the Broncos lost one game of these remaining four, this is the one you would want them to lose if they were faded to lose one, as all I'm saying, non-conference.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: I just wish football was like a math equation.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, these properties don't really transfer Colen when you look at week one, the Patriots lost to the Raiders.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously, the Patriots are a better team and the Raiders.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: Just because it happened to a different set of circumstances.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: Another team doesn't mean that one team is better than the other.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: I just never really subscribe to this, the Packers are playing really good ball right now.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: They're getting hot on both offense and defense.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're getting healthier as well with the addition of some of the receivers coming back to play.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: It is going to be a test in a fight for Denver and the toughest one they've had in weeks.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's my opinion.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like the chargers just picked off food.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: Did that hit the ground?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's coming back.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: That interception, we'll see.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: But Colin, this Packers game is going to be interesting.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: Thursday night, we haven't received it yet.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: So looking forward to it, but this week's head to head is going to be really interesting.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait to compare.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: the Broncos and the Packers because this late in the season's act, the material we have to to analyze and sink our teeth into.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty solid.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: The sample size is there, right?
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: So you can draw some meaningful conclusions and it'll be interesting to see how these two teams measure up, but both of them are in
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know, really fortuitous positions in their conference relative to the seeding and all that, but the packers, I would argue even Zach or a little bit more motivated than the Broncos to keep winning at this stage or to win this game because they've got the bears nipping at their heels.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos still have, you know, a couple of games over the chargers, depending on how tonight shakes out.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think we're going to see a lot of green on both ends from the packers in that head to head.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a fight, like I said, it's going to be tough, but Dave says in the comments, at least the game is in the friendly confines of empowered field at mile high.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: True.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: Are we cheering for the Eagles tonight?
- 37:18[SPEAKER_03]: You bet your bottom dollar.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_03]: We are pal.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_03]: And so far, it's not looking great.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: The chargers are win in 73, as far as the where we're at live, just starting the second quarter.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 37:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: Scott, let's not forget the Detroit Lions, too, and the NFC North.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, that's, that's going to be one motivated club's act that comes to mile high.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: But so are the Broncos, like even though the division is still well in Denver's control's act, do you want that?
- 37:48[SPEAKER_03]: First round by, do you want the benefits and the bragging rights of winning the one seed on top of the division?
- 37:54[SPEAKER_03]: Like, so it's not as if the Broncos don't have anything to play for.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: I just think that the
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: Survival is more Broncos.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: They're pretty much making the playoff Packers man that division for them's a little bit more tight right now Yeah, but this is not an opponent where the Broncos can just play with their food for 60 minutes like we saw yesterday Chad this is going to be from the the opening whistle quite a slug fest So I want to see how the Broncos personally after this winning streak that they're on currently I want to see how they respond
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: stream guy Raj says it was nice to see Harvey have a breakout game and Mims looking like a real star.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pounding the table dude.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to hold Sean Payton to what he said today.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: And that is that coming out of the staff meeting, they're going to they realize they need to get Marvin more touches on offense and that they're going to do that.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I just published an article right before we went live.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: You know, basically trying to draw attention to that and create as much scrutiny in the press and amongst fans to make that happen because it's just wasted potential.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you want that explosive twitched up impact on offense.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: There's a guy that you have barely utilized.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: he is as good as it gets as a returner.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_03]: I don't control how involved he is on offense, which I thought was kind of interesting for him to say that I can pull the exact quote, so keep in mind guys on paraphrasing it, but basically he's saying that
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't control a lot of that in terms of how he's used on offense, but that would be great to see him more involved that way.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: He would obviously love to be more involved offensively, and yet he doesn't complain, he keeps his head down.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_03]: So I do questions that why?
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: Why hasn't he been utilized more?
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: Is it?
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: he isn't as trusted by the coaches something between the years stuff.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: I have a hard time believing that those act if it were the case just because look at how good he is on specials like he makes savvy decisions as a part returner, right?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're never just going,
- 40:11[SPEAKER_03]: Like when Michael Bandie was back there, you're not like chewing through your fingernails while the punts in the air going.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my gosh, just haul it in bro.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, those little decisions that are made in slashes of synapses for a punt return or do I take it?
- 40:24[SPEAKER_03]: Do I fair catch it?
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: Do I let it go?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_03]: And then even once I do catch it, now the real decision making begins in terms of where I'm taking this thing.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: And all that stuff happens and he consistently zacked.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: Does the right thing?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_03]: I got to believe that probably extends to his brief on offense and yet it's just not coming out in the wash
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: Remember how bad the Isaiah McKenzie experience was?
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: We're ever time he was back there.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: He would seemingly fumble it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: And we were in such good hands now with mile high more of as he referred to himself and his post game press conference.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know the reason why they're not getting a more involved if only because they don't consider him a full-time permanent real deal receiver, like a Troy Franklin or like a Pat Bryant, like a Portland Sutton.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: But what bothers me is they spend a second round pick on them and I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly, they traded up to get Marvin Mims and they didn't just trade up or they didn't just spend a second round pick for a special team's player you have to get more out of him and it's right there for the taking and I'm like you I don't understand what the hold of is.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_03]: Colin jumping in to say we clinched the division tonight with a chargers loss so that would drop them to eight and five.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos are 11 and two with four games left.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: Is that, could they clench really?
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: I guess, go Eagles, go Eagles.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we're already rooting for the Eagles, but ooh, here goes Herbert running around with that just recently surgically repaired hand.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_03]: That's sketchy, man.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: If I was Jim Harboy, I'd be telling him, let's keep it in the pocket tonight, big dog.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: This is half true.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: They have to lose tonight.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: They also have to lose it next week against the chiefs of the Broncos have to beat the Packers and then they would clinch the AFC West.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: So there you go, buddy.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: But it's definitely if you wanted the Broncos to get closer to that clinch.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: Go with the people.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, go Eagles, baby.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, see how I mean look like.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_03]: Marvin Mimbs nickname mile high marvellous mims only one hold up mims himself well that's what I'm saying like what is it what because he's a smart guy um he's always been reliable like when you think about guys who drop passes I mean it pretty much everybody's act if you think of the broncos receivers
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: even Pat Bryant has dropped up past this season everyone and that's part of the game you know there there are even the elite receivers are going to occasionally drop a pass it happens here in there but again to be top two or three in drops as a team courtman's dropped a lot you're not going to take him off to feel as a result of it Troy's dropped way too many especially relative to his
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: seat at the table's act relative to his role on the offense like it's to me it's way too many nights if I'd start eating into those touches because of the lack of reliability.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_03]: It was cool to see by the way, it was cool to see Humphrey get a catch yesterday and do more than just block on the on the perimeter, but yeah, so men's is awesome.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see him more involved.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: Shiloh jumps it to say see some of y'all in two weeks versus Jacksonville.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to be there, is that what you're saying or I'm not sure, but yeah, the chiefs, it's kind of crazy to think this is that the Kansas City Chiefs are the worst opponent left on the Broncos cancer, I love it.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: We can mathematically eliminate them on Christmas and night in their house.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: How amazing will that be?
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's so sweet, Mark Kennedy jumping in again.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: This would be the most amazing thing in a long time for the Broncos.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: If we make it to the Super Bowl with a quarterback that we drafted, we've been having the hardest time in the world, drafting quarterbacks.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: This would be amazing, and it's true.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: Morton, we didn't draft him.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, way, we didn't draft him.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: Even though he spent every year of his career as a Bronco, technically speaking, we cannot say the Broncos drafted him.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_03]: Peyton Manning, obviously, didn't draft him.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, that would be really cool, man.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: A pretty special unique little signifier if the Broncos make it to a Super Bowl with both.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: Ever remember what Bo said on the phone, the night he was drafted.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: He answered the phone and he goes, you ready to win some Super Bowl?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: I still like watching the fan in me, you know, like doing the shows and all the articles and all the little things you guys don't even see that happens behind the scenes.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: It works out over days and years and all that stuff.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_03]: It works out a little bit of the passion as a fan, not to say I'm not still a fan obviously, but...
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: Every once in a while, the fan and me Zach, I'll turn that clip on of Bo getting the call and it's just, you know, the butterflies, that feeling man of like the goosebumps of like, yeah, this is a special moment.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I especially like an in that call.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: just keeping an eye on his old man because, you know, when the phone rings, Boe just answers that he's not going like this like, look, everybody check out who's calling me, he just goes, my phone's ringing.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_03]: So he answers it.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: So everybody around him can tell he's talking to a team.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm just calling him.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like he might be getting picked.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: Don't know who he's talking to, though.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: Who is it?
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: Who is it?
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then yeah, Coach Payton.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_03]: And as soon as you both says Coach Payton, that look on his father's eyes, closes his eyes.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_03]: And you can literally see him thanking God that of all the teams that could be calling right now.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's Sean Payton and the Broncos and you're seeing exactly why.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: That was a special night.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: After that, we had the Tony Sheffler.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: He announced the pick and he said God bless Bonix.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: It was just a really fun night and you're right, Chad.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to contain the fan in you at all times.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: Tony Sheffler, man, I loved his era.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_03]: He was such a fun tight end for the Broncos, the the late Shanahan era, the Jay Cutler times and shame, shame, shame.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_03]: on Josh McDaniels yet another just really why why did you not utilize the heck out of Tony Sheffler you moron okay guys we're about out of time we're gonna have some messages for you here in just a second but don't go anywhere because we're gonna come right back take one last look at the chat so anything burning get it in the chat now.

- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, if the if the chargers lose tonight, Broncos clinch playoffs, no worries, buddy.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, come on.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: You got to connect the Eagles.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_03]: Two song fill.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_03]: I love seeing two song fill on YouTube.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_03]: I love it dude.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_03]: Great to great to see you.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: The member little symbol next to you.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's awesome dude.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: He says the one consistent green Bay has had a problem with is QB pressure.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty sure we can handle that.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_03]: So Jordan loves that getting pressured Broncos offensive line.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where we rank.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't looked at it yet.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_03]: but going into yesterday's game, the Broncos ranked first in terms of few of sacks aloud, but they did give up three, one of two of which both kind of self-sack, but they go down a sacks nevertheless.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you gotta like that as a matchup.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: You could say it about any quarterback, but love kind of reminds me of Herbert in the sense that if you give him time, he's going to slice you up.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to pick you apart.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to make you pay, but if you can pressure him, you're going to rattle him into a mistake.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: And what I mean by that is not just a sack, but a fumble, a bad pick, something that can all sort of the course of the game.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: So you're right, Phil, they're going to have to bring the blitz.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to see a conservative game plan from VJ.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: I hope Bidito and Cooper, JFM Zach Allen.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: Ellis, everyone.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Don't drink, tell him, and they all get after love because again, you will pressure him into a turnover.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, shout out, Pearl.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_03]: Great to see.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_03]: Jonathan says that we missed a super.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_03]: Let me double check it, buddy.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_03]: We would dread such an event.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_03]: You're right, bro.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for letting us know big dogs.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry to make you wait.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_03]: You go way back with this, you know, we would never do that on purpose, just an oversight.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: Every once in a blue moon, something slips through the cracks.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you for your patience and the reminder, Big Dog says, uh, I will be at the Jags game for my first Bronco game in person, rad, let's lock up the one seed.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: We need a good win over the Packers Broncos for life.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to be a cool game because I'm guessing that Jags fans are going to be out in force with how.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_03]: How much will be on the on the line for them as well.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: So that'll be fun for you.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_03]: Dude awesome Jonathan.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: That'll be that'll be sick week 16 will be here before you know it.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm pretty sure I think it was shallow that's going to the game as well.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, maybe guys can link up and roof for the Broncos together fight off those jacks fans.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: So that'll be fun, buddy.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll have a lot of fun next week talking about Broncos Jags.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_03]: But before then, obviously, we got a big event.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: We got a big event.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: And that's Broncos Packers.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: So to some feel sorry Chad, hate you to have a lawsuit against them really.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy, dude.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_03]: Hope you win.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, last thing here, guys, two last things to wrong.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, buddy, says great show.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: Tonight, Chad and Zack on the MHH pod aftermath, go Bob Broncos.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_03]: Mile high salute right back at you, Ron.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: And then I want to grab this.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: from, now you're awesome, Jonathan, thank you, pal.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_03]: From Todd, who says, I still want another top tier receiver, but with another off-season for development, maybe Bryant could be that, I don't know for sure.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think Bryant could be a future successor to Portland, but you need a receiver that can do a little bit different stuff than a Bryant or a,
- 51:13[SPEAKER_03]: or a Portland.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I understand why the Broncos that have been hopeful that that little something else would be Franklin, because he has flashed some of that this season.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen it, but the reliability factor.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_03]: It just isn't there.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_03]: And what's crazy.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: He's made some huge plays this season for the Broncos like including in that comeback against the giants remember the tip pass for a touchdown that if that doesn't happen the Broncos don't even get the chance to storm back like he's been a part of some great stuff, but the reliability factor for me.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: It still isn't quite there.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that's a position the Broncos are going to be churning a little bit this season, not necessarily getting rid of guys, but bringing in competition and letting the chips fall.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_02]: To kind of exemplify what you're talking about, anyone should watch the Eagles tonight and what they have.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: AJ Brown is that bigger possession receiver and they also have Devonte Smith as the the faster game breaker underneath the speed demon.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: You need like Chad was talking about
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: the compliment.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: You can't have too many of the same receiver.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I agree with what Chad is saying what you're saying as well Todd Bryant has a definitely a bright future in Denver.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: I do see remember the Michael Thomas comparisons from Sean Payton himself.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: I do see some of those, but you also need the compliment.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: You also need the MIM speed, the Franklin speed, or somebody else to help take the top off because that's not Pat Bryant's game.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_03]: What the heck is happening on the field right now?
- 52:44[SPEAKER_03]: rumbling bumbling stumbling by the chargers he fumbles the ball goes up into the air hurts comes back with it he comes down with it then he gets hit ball goes out and the chargers recover so take away take away for the chargers who still lead 7-3 for what it's worth anyway great show guys love you my high salute special shout out to the super chat super stars
