- 1:29Speaker 2: side note.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I open up our email today and there were a
- 1:33Speaker 1: bunch of emails I know for a mail bag.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I was like, oh, okay, yeah, saving them awesome. All right,
- 1:40Speaker 2: let's hear a synopsis for Mystery one on one, Words
- 1:43Speaker 2: Can Kill?
- 1:45Speaker 1: When I Guess at the College Book Festival is killed?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Can we please share the backstory here of why we're laughing? Yes?
- 1:57Speaker 1: So when I went to read the synopsis, I accidentally
- 2:01Speaker 1: had the synopsis for movie number one, and it starts
- 2:04Speaker 1: out like when a college student is killed. Yes, So
- 2:09Speaker 1: now the correct synopsis is when it's like mad libs.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's totally mad libs. Okay, let me finish. When I
- 2:17Speaker 1: Guess at the College Book Festival is killed. Amy and
- 2:20Speaker 1: Travis clash after he arrests an unlikely person for murder.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Amy must fight to prove he's got the wrong person
- 2:28Speaker 1: behind bars. Mystery one on one, Words Can Kill premiered
- 2:32Speaker 1: on September fifteenth, twenty nineteen, on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.
- 2:36Speaker 1: This is the third.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Movie in the franchise.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Andy Mikita directed, with thirty three directing credits. This is
- 2:43Speaker 1: the only Mystery one on one movie Andy has directed. However,
- 2:47Speaker 1: he is responsible for other Hallmark movies like Guiding Emily
- 2:51Speaker 1: to All a Good Night and several episodes of Chesapeake Shores.
- 2:56Speaker 2: John Christian Plummer wrote the script. He currently has twenty
- 2:59Speaker 2: four writing credits, including some of Hallmark's biggest mystery franchises
- 3:03Speaker 2: like Mystery Island, Curious Cater, and Francesca Quinn p I.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Plumber will go on to write all seven of the
- 3:10Speaker 2: Mystery one oh one movies. The biggest mystery is where
- 3:13Speaker 2: did the third Mystery Island movie go on the Hallmarks schedule?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Good Question.
- 3:20Speaker 2: The series was created by Robin Bernheim and Lee Goldberg.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Chris Palaha and Joe Wagner return as Travis Burke and
- 3:28Speaker 1: Amy Winslow, respectively.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Also returning is Robin Thomas as Graham Winslow, Preston Vanderslice
- 3:34Speaker 2: as Bud, and Sarah Dugdale as Claire.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Amanda long plays friend Holly. Amanda has twenty seven acting credits,
- 3:41Speaker 1: with a long standing role as May Sue in One
- 3:44Speaker 1: Calls the Heart. She also appeared in movies like Bottled
- 3:48Speaker 1: with Wine and Raise a Glass the Love. She will
- 3:51Speaker 1: reprise her character as Holly in Mystery one on one
- 3:55Speaker 1: Dead Talk.
- 3:56Speaker 2: The movie is Bottled with Love.
- 3:58Speaker 1: What did I say, bottled with wine? Oh my god,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I heard it, but I was like, sorry, bottled with Love.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I like that movie. I remember that movie.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Nat Bolts plays Celia Bunten. This appears to be her
- 4:12Speaker 2: only Hallmark appearance, but you may recognize her for her
- 4:16Speaker 2: role as Penelope Blossom in sixty one episodes of Riverdale.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Eric Keenley Side plays Phil Jank. He has two hundred
- 4:25Speaker 1: and one acting credits and recently appeared in the movie
- 4:29Speaker 1: The Wish Swap as well as last Year's A Reason
- 4:32Speaker 1: For This Season.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Marcy t Howse plays Betsy Crane. Marcy has an impressive
- 4:36Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty one acting credits. She's been in
- 4:38Speaker 2: Hallmark movies like Scouting for Christmas and A Winning Team.
- 4:41Speaker 2: She set to co star in the forthcoming Hallmark series Ripple.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Where's one Ripple? Another mystery? Where the heck is Ripple?
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's done, It's been done. Hmmm. It was supposed to
- 4:54Speaker 1: be like exclusively Hallmark Plus. I don't know what happened. Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 1: nothing is exclusively Hallmark Plus anymore. Put trap Amy on
- 5:00Speaker 1: the case. Yeah for real. Milo Chandell plays Rick Finch.
- 5:05Speaker 1: These names are so hard to say for me today.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Milo has appeared in several other Hallmark projects like Family Practice, Mysteries,
- 5:13Speaker 1: Coming Home, Beverly Hill's Wedding, and a Summer romance. Rona
- 5:18Speaker 1: Rees plays Graham Winslow super fan Hannah. Rona has a
- 5:21Speaker 1: long list of acting credits, having appeared in a good
- 5:23Speaker 1: amount of Hallmark movies. Notably, she will serve as narrator
- 5:26Speaker 1: in Mystery one on one Dead Talk. Let's take a
- 5:29Speaker 1: quick break and come right back with first impressions. Hey, Wendy,
- 5:41Speaker 1: what's your first impression of Mystery one oh one? Words
- 5:44Speaker 1: can kill? This one had me wanting to read an
- 5:48Speaker 1: Atticus Keller novel.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Oh, wouldn't it be like super cool if they rebooted
- 5:55Speaker 2: this series.
- 5:57Speaker 1: But from the point in view of Atticus Keller, Like
- 6:03Speaker 1: we get to see Graham Winslow's like stories played.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Out, Like, wouldn't that be super cool? You know, I
- 6:09Speaker 2: just googled Atticus Keller fan fiction. I have absolutely no
- 6:14Speaker 2: idea if this is the correct Aticust Keller. We'll dig
- 6:17Speaker 2: into it later. Okay, what's your first impression? My first
- 6:20Speaker 2: impression is move over, folks. I have a new favorite
- 6:23Speaker 2: mystery series.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, right. It is very good.
- 6:27Speaker 2: It is very good.
- 6:28Speaker 1: The bar is high.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Looking at the director of this Anymikita and other things
- 6:34Speaker 2: he has been responsible for guiding Emily into All good Night.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Both had really strong dramatic beats to them. I can
- 6:42Speaker 2: see why I connected with this movie because part of
- 6:45Speaker 2: it is we've built a rapport with these characters. But
- 6:50Speaker 2: I was really feeling some of the dramatic emotional moments.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Oh and can't wait to hear more.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I will to talk about what we liked. I think
- 7:00Speaker 2: the depth of the relationships among the characters is really lovely.
- 7:05Speaker 1: If we talk.
- 7:05Speaker 2: About Amy and Graham, they have a close and loving
- 7:09Speaker 2: father daughter relationship, but I like hear how their relationship
- 7:13Speaker 2: isn't perfect. They have I haven't it to call it
- 7:16Speaker 2: conflict because it's not, but they just have some things
- 7:18Speaker 2: to work through. In this episode, you know, he's her father,
- 7:22Speaker 2: she doesn't know everything about his past and about her
- 7:24Speaker 2: his relationship with her mom, and I like that they're
- 7:27Speaker 2: still figuring themselves out.
- 7:29Speaker 1: In some ways.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And I think the same can be true of Amy
- 7:32Speaker 2: and Travis. Look, I enjoy a slober in romance, but
- 7:35Speaker 2: at the same time, I'm like, let's get there. However,
- 7:38Speaker 2: I do like the forward progress when Amy Freudian slips
- 7:42Speaker 2: and says she was up all night with Travis. I
- 7:44Speaker 2: just love that moment. I guess that's not a true
- 7:48Speaker 2: Freudian slip, a little double entendre.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I suppose, yes, Yes, it's funny because I'm looking at
- 7:55Speaker 1: my likes for this and of course, like behind the scenes,
- 7:59Speaker 1: when I watch these movies sometimes it might be like
- 8:01Speaker 1: two in a weekend, and so some of my notes overlap.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And I'm now noticing a theme amongst the three movies.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Obviously one. I really like Amy and Travis's dynamic. I
- 8:16Speaker 1: think I've mentioned it in every single movie. I just
- 8:20Speaker 1: want to say, duh. I'm sure everybody listening to is
- 8:22Speaker 1: like duh. It evolves in this one. I like that
- 8:26Speaker 1: they have a mutual admiration and they trust each other.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Of course, the chemistry is so good and it's not
- 8:36Speaker 1: all romantic. I think there is like a respect and
- 8:40Speaker 1: understanding as they work together, like they know what each
- 8:44Speaker 1: bring to the table. And you mentioned it earlier, Amy
- 8:50Speaker 1: and her dad. Their relationship is so heartwarming to me,
- 8:55Speaker 1: and I love the closeness and bond that they share.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It just adds like another layer of emotional depth to
- 9:03Speaker 1: the story, similar to maybe like Hannah Swinson with her mom,
- 9:08Speaker 1: even though it's a different kind of relationship. I enjoy
- 9:12Speaker 1: like Dolores and Hannah so much together. Yeah, so it's
- 9:17Speaker 1: fun when you have these I don't want to call
- 9:21Speaker 1: supporting characters that bring so much to the story.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nice when there's as much weight given to
- 9:28Speaker 2: a non romantic relationship as there is to the romantic ones.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Yes, because that's the real life. Yes, right. We all
- 9:35Speaker 1: have relationships in our lives that have weight to them
- 9:39Speaker 1: more than our spouse, so it's nice to see it
- 9:43Speaker 1: on TV.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I really enjoyed the layers of this mystery. I suspected
- 9:48Speaker 2: Celia from the beginning, simply because she's a Graham's never
- 9:52Speaker 2: met her. I thought there was going to be something
- 9:54Speaker 2: involved with She wasn't quite who she was supposed to be.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I had absolutely no idea what her motivation would be,
- 10:00Speaker 2: but I kind of had my eyes on her, partially
- 10:03Speaker 2: because they didn't, and so to me, I thought, well,
- 10:06Speaker 2: it's got to be something there. Again, no idea what
- 10:10Speaker 2: I thought she was doing, but I thought they built
- 10:12Speaker 2: all the layers and all the suspects in the misdirection
- 10:15Speaker 2: Really well here, I think it's worth noting so far
- 10:20Speaker 2: we're three movies in. We've gotten multiple murders in each
- 10:23Speaker 2: of these movies, which I think makes Amy Winslow a
- 10:26Speaker 2: dangerous person to know.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's the same with like Hannah Swinson, right, Yeah.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But do we usually get multiple murders in each mystery?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Very much? I agree.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I kind of like it as a I wonder if
- 10:40Speaker 2: that's going to continue throughout the series because oftentimes, you know,
- 10:45Speaker 2: the person getting murdered is a key witness or suspect,
- 10:47Speaker 2: so it changes the course of the investigation.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah. I want to say that I thought this mystery,
- 10:57Speaker 1: the case itself, was way more compelling than of other
- 11:01Speaker 1: mysteries we've seen. I know, our writer John Christian Plumber
- 11:08Speaker 1: writes a lot of mysteries for Hallmark, Mystery Island, Curious Caterer,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and of those franchises, there's some movies that are better
- 11:19Speaker 1: than others. To me, this one in terms of the
- 11:24Speaker 1: three movies we've seen, I thought the mystery part of
- 11:27Speaker 1: it was better than most. Yeah, this is one of
- 11:31Speaker 1: the best mysteries I've seen on Hallmark. Yeah, if not
- 11:35Speaker 1: the best so far. I have two more likes. Uh huh,
- 11:40Speaker 1: Travis's dilemma, that whole scene. Look, you know, I'm a
- 11:45Speaker 1: big Palaha fan. When he has to go tell Amy
- 11:48Speaker 1: that she that he's going to arrest her dad. It
- 11:52Speaker 1: was such a delicate situation, but I thought that the
- 11:55Speaker 1: way that the character of Travis handled it, it was like,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you know, top shelf professionalism. Yes, but then like, obviously
- 12:05Speaker 1: he cares for Amy and Graham as well, so he's like,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm in a tough situation here, but look, this is
- 12:11Speaker 1: what I gotta do this in my job. Yeah, fully
- 12:14Speaker 1: understood the assignment as a police officer and fully understood
- 12:17Speaker 1: the assignment as someone with a burgeoning relationship with Amy. Right.
- 12:23Speaker 1: The last thing that I really liked was what to
- 12:27Speaker 1: me was like a laugh out loud moment and is
- 12:29Speaker 1: when it's the murder board scene when Amy is working
- 12:33Speaker 1: through like all the suspects with Budd and Holly and
- 12:36Speaker 1: each one she would go through Bud in Hollywood be like, yes,
- 12:39Speaker 1: it must be him, Yes, that totally makes sense. It
- 12:42Speaker 1: just was so funny in the midst of all the
- 12:45Speaker 1: tension of the mystery.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of nice that not everybody's a detective,
- 12:50Speaker 2: like Bud and Holly are not like great at the
- 12:52Speaker 2: detective word card.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Noah, but Bud is like her TA or graduate assistant
- 12:57Speaker 1: or something in her class, like he's not some buffoon.
- 13:01Speaker 3: No.
- 13:01Speaker 2: But it's one thing to understand mystery writing, and it's
- 13:04Speaker 2: another thing to be able to solve mysteries.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think those are two very different skills. I thought
- 13:09Speaker 1: it was really funny, and I liked the addition of
- 13:11Speaker 1: Holly a lot.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, me too.
- 13:14Speaker 1: She was great. I think I enjoy her a little
- 13:16Speaker 1: more than Lacey. Yeah, it's funny and like, no Lacy
- 13:19Speaker 1: in this episode. Nope, I know when the movies are published.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I don't know the timeline in the universe of Mystery
- 13:24Speaker 1: one oh one, but at some point, Lacey's not gonna
- 13:26Speaker 1: be her student anymore, so she was eventually going to
- 13:29Speaker 1: have to move on. So do you think Holly is
- 13:32Speaker 1: Holly like the coffee friend? You know she's gonna see
- 13:34Speaker 1: her every morning. That's a good question, you know, Hold on,
- 13:39Speaker 1: are you gonna look back to my notes? She does
- 13:41Speaker 1: reprise her character, but only in Mystery one on one
- 13:45Speaker 1: Dead Talk, So I hope Amanda doesn't see an untimely fate.
- 13:52Speaker 2: It could just be that time March is on. Yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 2: let's stock wishes. Okay, the owl as the murder weapon
- 14:00Speaker 2: question mark, question mark.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Look.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I can see if it's in the room when the
- 14:03Speaker 2: attack happens, But I think it is a wild jump
- 14:07Speaker 2: from seeing this decoration, which would largely fade into the background,
- 14:11Speaker 2: and choosing to take it with you as your defense weapon.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I think it's a wild choice. You're like, I'm gonna
- 14:19Speaker 2: take this owlpaperweight with me just in case I need
- 14:22Speaker 2: to defend myself.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Come on, m Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 2: My other wish is I'm mostly able to suspend belief
- 14:29Speaker 2: here because I do find these characters so enjoyable.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I have the same words in my notes where are
- 14:34Speaker 1: you going?
- 14:34Speaker 2: And I think the writing is very well done. However,
- 14:38Speaker 2: I do think Amy needs a reality check because she
- 14:42Speaker 2: pushes back on Travis not wanting her in the room
- 14:44Speaker 2: when he's conducting a search with a warrant, and she
- 14:48Speaker 2: also steps directly into a crime scene and walks through
- 14:51Speaker 2: it and takes photos. She's clearly very bright and talented,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but she is not a police officer, nor has she
- 14:58Speaker 2: been granted some sort of police consultant role like we've seen.
- 15:02Speaker 1: In other shows.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yes, so I think maybe someone and Trevis does put
- 15:07Speaker 2: her in her place politely, but I think maybe she
- 15:09Speaker 2: needs a little bit of a maybe. I don't just
- 15:12Speaker 2: walk directly across the police line, do not cross into
- 15:15Speaker 2: the crime scene.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Gotcha. Well, my note in suspening disbelief is, look, all
- 15:23Speaker 1: these terrible crimes keep happening too or adjacent to our
- 15:26Speaker 1: lead characters. Yeah, it becomes like too much. Yeah, And
- 15:31Speaker 1: I can't just be like, oh yeah, like I don't.
- 15:33Speaker 1: There's nobody in my life that I know that has
- 15:36Speaker 1: been adjacent to a terrible crime more than once. Correct,
- 15:42Speaker 1: So I like I need for movie four, like a
- 15:46Speaker 1: crime not to happen on the college campus.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, because not only are they happening nearby, but like
- 15:52Speaker 2: people they know. Yeah, and her office was being bugged,
- 15:55Speaker 2: and her father was involved in this movie, and you
- 15:58Speaker 2: know it was her student's boyfriend and another movie. It's
- 16:00Speaker 2: not just like crimes happening in and around their town.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, explain to me. Did we ever find out like,
- 16:10Speaker 1: who was in Amy's office at the beginning? Was it Celia?
- 16:14Speaker 2: No, it was Phil Jenks. He was working for Celia.
- 16:17Speaker 2: He was bugging the office because he was trying to
- 16:19Speaker 2: get information out Graham because he believed that it was
- 16:22Speaker 2: Graham's office.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Got it? Okay, Okay, here's the last wish I have.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And this is something that you talked about in the
- 16:33Speaker 1: previous movie that you really liked. And it's like the
- 16:36Speaker 1: confession scene where our criminal is giving all the information
- 16:44Speaker 1: of how everything oh huh, you know is everything is
- 16:48Speaker 1: explained in this scene and I get like why they
- 16:51Speaker 1: have to do it, but to me, it truly reminds
- 16:55Speaker 1: me of Scooby Doo cartoons when like that's how they
- 16:58Speaker 1: would wrap up the the episodes as well.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Shaggy, what are you doing with the statue of
- 17:05Speaker 2: the night? Yeah, m hmm exactly.
- 17:07Speaker 1: And I'm like, I just wish they could do it differently.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I don't want to see it be done the same
- 17:12Speaker 1: in every single movie.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what the solution to that is.
- 17:16Speaker 2: This one, you know, we get the flashback.
- 17:18Speaker 1: They they build these.
- 17:21Speaker 2: I don't watch a lot of mysteries period, and I'm
- 17:24Speaker 2: curious if non Hallmark mystery movies do this like flashback
- 17:29Speaker 2: situation as they're working it out, because in this one,
- 17:31Speaker 2: they kind of like flash back to some of the
- 17:33Speaker 2: scenes of like, oh, well, now I understand what that
- 17:37Speaker 2: moment and they're explaining why that moment was significant. On
- 17:40Speaker 2: the one hand, I like it because this movie threw
- 17:45Speaker 2: a lot at us and there was a lot of misdirection,
- 17:47Speaker 2: and so they're putting it all together. On the other hand,
- 17:49Speaker 2: now that because of the way we're watching them back
- 17:52Speaker 2: to back to back, it does get a little bit redundant. Yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 2: maybe that's why, because we're watching back.
- 17:59Speaker 1: To back to back.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that doesn't help.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Do you have any other wishes? Just one?
- 18:04Speaker 2: And this movie made me kind of want to take
- 18:06Speaker 2: a class like any teaches, and I went looking. There
- 18:11Speaker 2: are a couple free or low cost classes. I'm adam
- 18:15Speaker 2: to our show notes. They're not quite exactly what she teaches,
- 18:18Speaker 2: but there's one Agatha Christie and the Golden Age Detective Fiction,
- 18:22Speaker 2: and there's another one the Secrets of Great Mystery and
- 18:25Speaker 2: Suspense Fiction.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I think they're interesting. Are they online classes?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fun because we have so much.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I know, I don't have the time.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't know the time, but that, yeah, I know
- 18:40Speaker 1: it's time for you to see that I have a couple.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, let's hear them.
- 18:44Speaker 1: The first one is the character the character Phil Jink, Yeah,
- 18:49Speaker 1: is from Reno, Nevada. And did you know Chris Plause
- 18:52Speaker 1: from Reno.
- 18:53Speaker 2: H that's right, yeah, fun, that was fun.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I was like, I wonder if that's coincidence or if
- 19:01Speaker 1: like Chris is like, hey, let's make this character from
- 19:03Speaker 1: Reno because I'm from Reno. My second digit see that
- 19:07Speaker 1: is so when Amy comes to her office and that
- 19:11Speaker 1: person's in her office and then she goes out and
- 19:14Speaker 1: she tries to she's in high heels. Yeah, this is
- 19:17Speaker 1: like the second or third time I've seen her like
- 19:19Speaker 1: full out sprint, yes and no, like a wedge hill
- 19:23Speaker 1: or a high heel. I'm like, what put this girl
- 19:27Speaker 1: in a pair of tennis shoes? I know she loves
- 19:29Speaker 1: the stiletto and she I mean, she looks great in them.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I understand why she wears them, but I.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Do notice it all the time, and she's just there's
- 19:38Speaker 2: a lot of walking when you're on a college campus.
- 19:40Speaker 2: It's impressive. I couldn't do it. Give me a rothy
- 19:43Speaker 2: any day.
- 19:44Speaker 1: My final thing is, and I don't know if I've
- 19:47Speaker 1: noticed this before, but in Amy's office there's like large
- 19:51Speaker 1: scale weapons behind her. I don't know if they're like statues,
- 19:56Speaker 1: but it's like ones like A and I got us
- 20:01Speaker 1: and one is like a news or something like that.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Are they like, oh, like from Clue.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I don't know. They're big bro and they sit on
- 20:13Speaker 1: display like behind her.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Oh interesting? I mean I give if they are from
- 20:19Speaker 2: like Clue, I like, or just like mystery adjacent Nick knacks.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and it goes with her crime riding vibe, like
- 20:28Speaker 1: I get it. I just thought it was interesting, interesting choice.
- 20:32Speaker 1: What about you? Well?
- 20:33Speaker 2: Speaking of the scene where her she finds someone in
- 20:37Speaker 2: her office as she's running through the college, was a
- 20:40Speaker 2: really cool shot. It's like the building is like U
- 20:43Speaker 2: shaped kind of and there's someone you see her in
- 20:46Speaker 2: the foreground, and then the background on the opposite side
- 20:48Speaker 2: of the building you just see someone like go running by.
- 20:50Speaker 2: It's just a cool little shot.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oh like the person that she was chasing up. Yeah, yeah, oh.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You just see them like in shadow running through the
- 20:59Speaker 2: other of the building. Betsy Crane orders an oatmelk Latte.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I feel like in twenty nineteen the oatmel Latte was
- 21:05Speaker 2: ahead of its time.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Thank you. I noticed I did bump on that while
- 21:09Speaker 1: we were watching I was like, oat, milk, this is
- 21:11Speaker 1: what year is this? Twenty seventeen, twenty nineteen, twenty nineteen. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I'm shocked by that. A close caption.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Did you see that they talk about taking a rain
- 21:20Speaker 2: check and it is spelled c che cque, which is
- 21:25Speaker 2: like the Canadian spelling.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Yes, it's funny.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Ace really gets the VIP treatment with the forensics team,
- 21:32Speaker 2: like her office is burgled and they have like the
- 21:34Speaker 2: forensics team on as if capital.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Crime has been committed.
- 21:39Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm not so sure they would
- 21:42Speaker 2: deploy this level of personnel for a college office burglary.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You don't think so.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I don't know. Are they out their fingerprinting? I don't know,
- 21:51Speaker 2: Maybe they would.
- 21:52Speaker 1: What do I know? What if Sony was like stealing
- 21:55Speaker 1: a master key? Sure?
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And I could be wrong. I could be wrong.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I just find it funny that Travis like snaps his
- 22:02Speaker 2: fingers and they show up for Amy. Finally, to your
- 22:05Speaker 2: point about the murder board, I love when Bud was like,
- 22:07Speaker 2: I brought the board so we can do that yarn
- 22:09Speaker 2: and suspect thing. Love it, love it.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I love Bud me too.
- 22:14Speaker 2: He gives me stiffler vibes a little bit like he's
- 22:17Speaker 2: the bobo stiffler.
- 22:19Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about. Yes, I really enjoy him.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Hey what did you write?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Words can kill? Okay, Okay, hear me out. Okay, it's
- 22:30Speaker 1: not bad. I gave it four stars. I do think
- 22:33Speaker 1: it's the best of the bunch that we've watched so far.
- 22:35Speaker 1: But I need some acceleration between Amy and Travis. Well,
- 22:39Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Why you're giving me hear me out because I gave
- 22:42Speaker 2: it four stars.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Also, no, there's a caveat, like I'm gonna be a
- 22:46Speaker 1: little bit mad if we don't get something something in
- 22:50Speaker 1: the next ye if we are at if this cliffhanger
- 22:54Speaker 1: in movie seven is because they have not kissed yet,
- 22:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna lose my freaking mind. I cannot do seven
- 23:01Speaker 1: movies without some sort of like dinner date or like, uh,
- 23:07Speaker 1: I don't know, slow dance something, yeah, something, I agree,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I agree.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I kind of worry that like movie seven is going
- 23:15Speaker 2: to be like the moment where they do start to
- 23:17Speaker 2: get together, but then there's like a roadblock thrown in
- 23:20Speaker 2: their way, and that's I can't.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I can't, I can't. I've been chatting in our Instagram
- 23:30Speaker 1: with listeners of the show, and I'm like, look, you
- 23:32Speaker 1: can hear the panic starting in our voices.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I have seen, I've seen that.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I know, I know. I'm worried.
- 23:39Speaker 2: It's it's four movies to go. It's not a lot, not.
- 23:42Speaker 1: A lot of movies. No, because last summer when we
- 23:45Speaker 1: did this with Sigence Steal delivered like it was a
- 23:48Speaker 1: slow burn to get to Shane and Oliver too. But
- 23:50Speaker 1: we knew it was coming and we knew there was
- 23:53Speaker 1: no cliffhanger Finnish business. So yeah, agree, agree, Although we were.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Like, hello, when are we going to get an Oliver
- 24:02Speaker 2: and Shane kiss?
- 24:04Speaker 1: I know, But then it finally came. There was no
- 24:07Speaker 1: at the end that we knew, like, this is what
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm talking about with like this series. Why did we
- 24:12Speaker 1: do this? Like we knew there was a cliffhanger? Why
- 24:15Speaker 1: did we do this? I'm afraid I'm gonna be real mad,
- 24:19Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna be that fan that's really pissed off.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Are you so nervous? I'm a little bit nervous about it. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I hear you.
- 24:28Speaker 2: All right, Well, friends, email us girls Conememark at gmail
- 24:32Speaker 2: dot com if you have thoughts. How nervous should we be.
- 24:35Speaker 2: We'll be back next week with Mystery one oh one.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Whatever the fourth movie is? Is it Dead Talk?
- 24:42Speaker 1: I have to look it up. Every single tis all right,
- 24:44Speaker 1: kiss full transparency. I watched movie one, then Movie three,
- 24:48Speaker 1: then movie two because I didn't know the order that
- 24:50Speaker 1: they came in, so yeah, I could totally see how
- 24:53Speaker 1: that could happen.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Well, we will be back next week with the fourth
- 24:56Speaker 2: installment of the Mystery one O one series as part
